"Disapointing"

Having visited this hotel before we had been quite happy with it. This time we were disappointed. It looks tired and really needs an uplift. It was during the heatwave of August and there was no air conditioning in the room. The fan they supplied was pathetic, there are much better solutions available. We could not open the window and close the curtains as the window opened inwards. The shower was over the bath. No bath mat was supplied for safety in the bath and stepping in and out was very slippery and dangerous. We were there on a Monday night and the restaurant was not open.

We stayed for 8 nights, despite asking for clean linen the sheets were not changes during our very hot stay. A very ordinary breakfast with scarcely any fruit. The wrinkles in the carpet in the lobby are a trip hazard. A fellow guest left their dog alone in the room ,it was barking;when I went to reception they said that there was nothing they could do

From outside hotel is nice, an old building at the top of the hill. Free private parking. Very nice view from my room nr. 220. This is the positive. The negative: room is extremely hot, no air conditioning. There is only a portable cooling device that is only doing a lot of noise with very little cooling effect. Same thing for the fan, which makes a terrible noise. And don't even think about opening the windows at night, as cars pass every 5 minutes on the cobblestone street below. So, after a sleepless night sweating in bed from the suffocating heat, if you go down for breakfast, you'll find yourself in a huge, charmless 1970s room. The breakfast is pathetic—no pancakes, crêpes, or anything else. It's impossible to get fried eggs or anything else off the menu. All of this for 210 euros. I will never set foot in this place again.

There are parts of this property that are 5 * (location, paid for private parking), a very funny bar man, and parts that are 3* (lobby/hallway carpets very tired) but poor water pressure in shower is inexcusable. The beds are superb, the westward facing rooms have an exquisite view of both main cathedrals and it is in easy walking distance in the villate to pretty much everything. Very friendly front desk staff and reasonable bar prices with a decent breakfast selection!

Hotel recently redecorated. The room was very large and the shower en suite was large and well laid out. The bed was extremely comfortable but the duvet was heavy and very warm. There was a nice touch of little blanket throws. The towels were good quality. The mattress was very comfortable and there were 2 pillows each. There was a TV and wireless access. A little fridge with a limited choice of drinks but the fridge more useful than the drinks. There was a Nespresso coffee machine and some coffee pods as well as a couple of tea options. There was no kettle which for a Brit is pretty important but the man at the reception lent me one. The cups are not tea friendly so advise to bring your own. These were just expresso cups. There was parking at the rear of the hotel but we were not advised that there was a charge. There is also parking in the square at the front of the hotel. You can access the hotel from the parking. The hotel is dog friendly which is why we chose it, however it was limited on places to take them for a walk. There is also a charge for dogs. We had planned to eat in the restaurant but changed our mind as was very limited for non red meat eaters. Also the wine was very expensive. We found a lovely little restaurant 2 minutes walk away. There was a cupboard with hanging space but the shelves housed a safe and extra bed linen so limited. Wouldn't advise a lengthy stay. Maybe other rooms have more furniture. The only mirror was in the bathroom and the hairdryer was attached to the wall there. It was well heated. The window ledges afforded somewhere to put toiletries etc. There was a large reception area giving onto a bar. The hotel is in the centre of town. The lighting was poor although not unattractive. We opted out of breakfast which was €18 per person given that I only eat max one croissant and a coffee there was no simpler option. We had a coffee at the Shuttle terminal less than an hour's drive. We would definitely return making allowances from our experience on this stay.

Another Great Stay at the Best Western Hotel Hermitage! 🌟 We've stayed at the Hotel Hermitage a few times now, and it's always a pleasure. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they're like family and nothing is ever too much trouble. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have everything you need for a relaxing stay. Breakfast is always good, with plenty of choice and great coffee to start the day! The location is perfect too easy to get around and explore the area and just a short walk to the centre of Montreuil It's just one of those hotels you can always rely on, we'll definitely be back again!

Nice hotel in the centre of a beautiful old town. The rooms are good, though room safes would be beneficial. Breakfast was superb and the staff very professional and helpful. Secure parking costs E10, or there is plentiful free parking directly outside the hotel

What a great hotel. Amazingly friendly staff, really nice room, terrific breakfast and off-road parking. A well-stocked bar helped at the end of the day. Although not the cheapest of places, I think this one is well worth the extra money. Nice and close to some good restaurants in town too.

Stayed here, for 3 nights, last week with another couple of friends. We have stayed here on many occasions, and it's always been a great stay - this time was no exception. Lovely comfortable room, very clean, lots of room for our stuff and comfortable bed. A kettle as well as the coffee machine, would be appreciated, but we had our own kettle, so it wasn't really an issue. not much provision in the way of coffee though. Lovely fluffy towels and plenty of hand wash gel and shower gel. Always love staying here and looking forward to our next visit. Carparking is secure and off street. Breakfasts are good.

Stayed for one night with friends. The hotel is in a very nice building Staff very helpful and friendly. My husband loved the hotel cat . Parking is free on the road close by. The whole hotel is very clean and tidy. Very nice lounge and bar area. Bed very comfy and nice soft big towels. The shower gel is good quality. The breakfast room is also a nice space and good breakfast. The only negative was the carpet in the bedroom, which was quite worn and quite a lot of marks. The town is beautiful and interesting.
