Description

Near Regensburg's old town, the Hansa Apart-Hotel, Regensburg, Germany, is a comfortable base close to the autobahn and the main railway station, with four air-conditioned meeting rooms, an Italian restaurant, a winter-garden terrace for breakfast, a bar with live music, free Wi-Fi, and rooms in sleek cherry wood with marble bathrooms. A short walk leads to the twelfth-century Stone Bridge and the lanes of the old centre, with quick routes into the city and out to the countryside. The Danube runs through the middle of town close by, lined with paddle-steamer quays and beer gardens. Regensburg is one of Germany's best-preserved old cities, its centre and the Stadtamhof district together a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Stone Bridge has crossed the Danube since the twelfth century, the tall towers of St Peter's Cathedral mark the skyline, and stone towers and riverside taverns recall the days when this was a wealthy trading city. Hidden courtyards dot the lanes, and a riverside sausage kitchen by the bridge is said to be among the oldest eating houses in the world. Boats set off from the quay for cruises along the Danube, and the Bavarian Forest and the river's wine country lie within easy reach.

I stayed (luckily) one night in this hotel with my family (2 little girls and a small dog) in a junior suite Let's start with the positive aspects: the room was large and the double bed was comfortable, staff in restaurant was very nice during breakfast time What I didn't like 1) lack of courtesy and unprofessionalism from the receptionist To be more precise: as soon as i entered i went to the reception (i was equipped with a covid mask as required and i was close to the counter in order to say Hello and show our reservation ) Receptionist (a lady) said Hello and give us key and asked about which time we prefer for breakfast, then kind lady, looking my wife that was slowing entering , (she was near entrance door) holding a little girl, peremptorily "asked" her to put on the mask. Obviously my wife immediately wore the mask, but there was no need to be so rude, we haven't even asked for a welcoming committee on our arrival... probably our expectations of receiving a smile and a welcome were too high 20 minutes later, after placing our luggage in the room, we walked to the garden, crossing the lobby, with the intention of having something to drink and consume in the garden while we were looking at the garden by the door, suddenly kind lady from reception (the same person who had welcomed us) ran to us saying that the restaurant was closed and abruptly closed the door to access the lounge and garden:we were speechless Half an hour later there were numerous people sipping beers in the garden, nobody was able to explain us the reasons for this behavior and frankly at that point we were no longer interested and we decided to go to the city to eat and drink something rather than stay there. 2) WI-fi was NOT present , while in reservation is present - i called reception from my room asking information about that, answer was literally that Wifi is down, i am sorry 3) There is NO air conditioning, if you decide to open the window you'll hear the noise of trains (yes, it is in front of the railway) 4) Cleanliness the carpet was stained in several parts, probably spots date back to the last century ; curtains were very dirty (see pictures) and stains looked very old NB we were in Junior Suite.. 5)Restaurant was closed (no explanations were given about it, I suppose it is due to the covid situation, but, I repeat, no explanation has been provided. 6) breakfast was really the bare minimum (a tray with cold cuts, cheese, a jug of coffee), I asked for 2 cappuccinos and paid them separately (without flavor, being made by an automatic machine) 7) the baby's crib was without a mattress (we made fun of using the blanket they gave us) so considering above points i don't really know how this hotel has been classified with 4 stars, we did not ask the moon, we expected nothing else than a normal standard service with courtesy and attention to the customer i suggest to look elsewhere

"Nice stay "

Only two days, the rooms are clean and new, swimming on the rooftop clean and with a good view, breakfast complete, near the airport, but outside is an other world, complimentary airport transfer, only at the arrival.

"Friendly. Give me a coffee while waiting at lobby!"
kiankok, 05 Mai 2019

Well I arrived early by 6 hours and they try to find me a room but unfortunately there aren't any. So I was stucked in lobby for 2~3 hours. They serve me a coffee while waiting and I use their wifi which is great! I'm staying in room 115 which is executive junior suite. It has a kitchen I think which is locked if you don't pay them 5 euro per day. The room has adjoining living room like an apartment (like L shape) each with own small flatscreen TV. Toilet is clean and everything is clean. But this is definitely old hotel. Everything in good condition but it is definitely look dated. Especially pull out kitchen. OMG, that's the first time I see it. Anyway, this room is very far to the back so the wifi is spotty. My iPad is barely getting any signal while my Galaxy Note 8 and laptop is ok like 1 or 2 bar.

We stayed for a night in a bike tour The rooms are comfortable The staff is very friendly. At the hall they amenity as water, biscuits, apples We had a dinner included. It was a very beatifully served and delicious meal, in a peaceful garden It's 15 minutes walk from the historical center, that is also amazing

"Very friendly hotel and a very good place for meetings"
IstvanFay, 24 Juin 2018

The hotel was friendly and very helpful in case of wishes. The team was very open to give support. The hotel was a very good place to keep training. The points where there is room for improvement: - the WLAN had limited support, on Skype there was not bandwidth enough for video contact - it was not easy to find the way to drive from Friedenstrasse into the hotel, some bigger and clearer signs on the street would be helpful.
