Best Western Plus Clinton/Jackson

The hotel is closed for construction and they didn't even bother to inform me. I arrived after 12 hours driving and only a little sign at the entrance door is stating: closed for construction. Best Western Hotline: useless at this point. Very disapointing!

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was quite tasty. The small couch made a comfortable place to watch television.

Check-in was fast and easy. Issues: No one at the Front desk from 6:55 - 7:27 am for check-out. Not in the kitchen, pantry, and no note at the desk. I finally wrote a note I left. Outside keyed entrances do not work, tried that evening to inquire at front desk...NO ONE around. Also, why would you upgrade the bathroom mirror to a nice one, but leave toilet paper to plug the old holes of the mirror replaced? Overall poor maintenance, shower OK, bed OK, HVAC system very noisy.

This place is first class. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Our host was very interesting. I enjoyed our conversations. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The internet worked properly. We chose this place because it had a refrigerator. The Best Westerns in Jackson did not. A really good property.

The location was convenient and rooms were clean. Good pastries for breakfast. Froghead Grill was excellent restaurant nearby. We were amazed that the advertised $75 pet fee is PER PET! Our two small dogs cost us more than the price of our one night stay. We travel 1-20 multiple times a year, but will not be returning to this hotel. LaQuinta pet fee is $25 for 2 pets!

Unlike several of the reviews here, my wife and I had a nice stay. Super fast check in, room was clean, ice cold a/c and fridge. Pillows and beds gave us a restful night's sleep. Would probably return. Some of the fixtures look worn and could use updating as could the floor we were on, but overall a good value.

The bathroom had urine on the seat and on the bottom of the toilet . The room smelled very musty . We had family staying in another room and their carpet was wet. Neither room had a telephone . I would not consider staying there ever again . This was Aptil 2023.

I am a Hilton Honors member . On the app I asked for a king size bed . Upon arriving at the hotel I found that the key didn't work at the desk clerk ask for my license and etc. in the room it was a queen size bed. Plus the bed looked as if had not been made up. Definitely not up to Hampton standards
