Best Western Plus Hanes Mall Hotel

Smooth check in. Parking lot has a funky design, but plenty of spots. My room was a nice size. Bathroom layout was a bit tight, but the shower had good pressure and nice hot water. WiFi was very fast. Desk chair wouldn't go any higher than it was set to so it was too low to the ground. The room has A LOT OF LAMPS! Bed was comfy, pillows were lumpy. I did hear some noise during my stay, but nothing to extreme. The property seemed to have been update, but it missed the smaller details. Tile missing, bad paint, bathroom fan sounded like a freight train. Breakfast hours are only till 930am. Overall, if I had paid $150 a night, it would have been too much, but overall its a solid choice.

Great hotel and convenient to shopping, businesses and friends. Room was comfortable and clean, and staff was professional and courteous. Front desk gave me an envelope for business papers. I was impressed so I joined their loyalty program.

A nice place to stay. Bathroom is incredibly small, but the room is fine. They do have a continental breakfast, and the hostess was very nice to us. However, I came here on a business trip. I woke up early early in the morning to get some work done and went downstairs to stretch out my materials on a table. As I go into the breakfast area, I was reprimanded by the front desk person and told I was not allowed to sit in that area. I asked where I could go, and she pointed to a very small table next to the door. The table was made from a tree that had many cracks in it was lopsided so I could not write. And with the door opening and closing, I was cold. I tried to work in the business area, but the light was out. It was a nice place. But I think I would try a different Best Western.

Front desk was very nice and efficient. I appreciate how the staff always asks if there is anything needed, they are sure to take care of customers. My stay is always good, I'm glad the quality and value is standard.

We stayed at Best Western for 3 days. It was a very pleasant experience from the star to the end. The man at the front desk was extremely helpful, especially helping me to understand how the TV channel guide worked.

This hotel is in a central location of Winston conveniently across from Novant and Hanes Mall. There are plenty of great restaurants to choose from and tons of stores for shopping as well. The best part is that is right off the interstate i-40.

Dated hotel. Elevators sound like they are going to stop working any minute. Sheets had stains. Curtains didn't close. Wasn't the nicest or the cleanest. Definitely didn't feel like I got my money's worth.

This place has been renovated so it has a modern look. It was not high end but very reasonable for this area and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was well supplied and the crew was very very attentive.

Headed to the beach. Great place to stopover. Good rate, clean all around, fitness facilities and close to restaurants in Hanes Mall complex. Easy access back to interstate. Breakfast was complete with a few options including a pancake machine for fresh cakes.

It was a very pleasant stay. I rested well. I traveled to drop my daughter off to college, and will be staying here when I come to visit her from here out. Parking lot only needs to be paved a little bit better. That would be my only complaint.

I have to say that The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. This site has always had a great staff who aim to create comfortable stay! My room was very clean and there was not any noise or disturbances.

We first encountered a musty smell and the next morning, after all of us being up all night sneezing, we noticed black mold all over the wall and air conditioner in the corner. We are still suffering from the effects of the room with stopped up lungs and allergic reactions from the mold.

The breakfast was good with a few options to choose from. The rooms were clean but the floor looked like a few spots were missing during cleaning. The beds were very clean and the bedding was too. We didn't think the beds were comfortable though. They were really hard. We didn't like the hallways smelled like pot. We don't care what you smoke, to each their own, but I have asthma. I got a non smoking room for a reason. If it wasn't for our AC filtering most of it out, we would of left right away. Just smoke outside the hotel is all I'm saying.

The hotel is modern and very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and t and the breakfast area was well maintained and tables were quickly cleaned.. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definately stay here again.

The folks who work here are lovely and the place is very clean. The sheets on our bed feel cheap - very stiff and heavy. ONE bath towel per person, small, thin and don't actually remove water very well. Thin cloth shower curtain that sticks to you when wet. Shower is very difficult to adjust ( not a problem I've ever had before). Breakfast? Sausage patties, sausage gravy, fried potatoes, almost everything sweetened, “whipped spread”. No whole wheat bread, no peanut butter, plain yogurt, plain oatmeal. If none of that bothers you, ignore this review. I won't be staying here again. The price isn't a bargain - I'm accustomed to cheap hotels that skimp on the details. I expected better but didn't find it here.

This motel is disgusting! Our first room reeked of cigarettes. We were moved to a room that had roaches in the shower, the tissue holder , the sink and the carpet. When I opened the bathroom it reeked of weed coming from my he vents. Sirens from ambulances squealed all night and early in the morning At 3 in the morning a crazy man was violently trying to open the adjoining door between our rooms. We decided to pack up and get outta there. As we left, The hallway of the third floor reeked so bad of weed that it smelled like somebody hot-boxed a bunch of skunks. Don”t make the mistake of going cheap like we did. Upgrade and spend your money else where.

The rooms were clean, breakfast good, and nice staff. The only thing I disliked was the pillows. They were a bit small, it wasn't regular sized pillows. So a little bit hard to sleep. Had to stack 2 together. Overall pretty decent.

Great stay room was clean service was excellent and staff was great. Hotel is in a great location. It is convenient to both colleges and also great for shopping. Not far from either interstate. At check in you were greeted with the welcome to Best Western.

We were in Winston-Salem for Bands of America Competition. Competition and award ceremony ended late (11:00PM) and we stayed overnight rather than drive home. The location was convenient to the facility and reasonably priced. The room was great, clean, roomy and comfortable. We had no problems. Staff was helpful and friendly. A very good facility.

Staff was nice, breakfast manager is very sweet and accommodating. Cockroaches were also very welcoming…. Road noise is VERY loud and there is exactly zero sound insulation. The weed smoke in the hallways is just enough to be stinky, but not enough to be fun.

The bathroom tub had several bugs. As I washed down, more appeared. As this was happening my husband was sitting at the desk and his legs were being attacked by bugs. The room was also very musty. We left immediately to a new hotel. It was so bad we didn't even care about losing the money. I will be contacteing corporate to file a formal complaint .

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The staff was professional, check in and out were very quick. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable, and everything was in working order. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed our stay place was clean, beds was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Stayed for a few days both gentlemen attending breakfast was excellent and very friendly with assisting myself and my family with the pancake machine. Front desk staff was superb Ms.Pam always goes above and beyond expectations. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will be back in November.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. Adequate parking for guests. Rooms are clean and beds were comfortable. Bathroom whirlpool jets needed cleaning so I only used the showers. Overall the room appears decent. Breakfast not much to choose from but you can find something to pick you up until you hit the mall next to it. Gym has variety of equipment for work out and was clean. The pool was close for maintenance- I was a bit disappointed since that was one of the reasons I choose the hotel.

Everyone was great and friendly the room were very clean, and my family enjoyed it we were there for a memorial service for my mother. The breakfast attendant was a great asset to them his attitude was very positive as he greeted and attend to their needs

There to drop off my son at college. The room was clean, saw no bugs. The breakfast had eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy and pancakes with juices , cereal and yogurt etc. The staff was friendly. Pam was awesome! The walks are thin, you can hear a lot. We wanted to play cards and didn't want to disturb anyone with noise level, so we played in the lobby at night. The staff never bothered us . Had a problem with reservations but the staff was awesome and took care of it quickly and professionally.

Convenient location to everything. Great deal. Good value. Free breakfast. Has a gym. Nice staff. Near malls and shopping and close to Wake Forest. It's our go to place when dropping our son at school. It's not the four seasons but good value for the money!

This place is really a hidden jewel! It is nice, clean and neat and serves a great breakfast by Swift! It is adjacent/close to a really nice mall and is convenient to area attractions. I would definitely stay here again - the most comfortable beds, it was quiet so we slept well and the staff from the front desk to housekeeping were friendly, professional and very helpful. We will definitely be returning, especially if Swift is making biscuits & gravy!

The staff is friendly. The breakfast was fresh and filling. The room was comfortable. Definitely leave any garage outside the room to avoid crawling visitors. Although it's located near Hanes Mall and several restaurants, I did not have an opportunity to visit. Hopefully I'll be back to check it out.

This stay was likely the worst we've ever encountered. We experienced bed bugs. The result is more unpleasant than one could imagine. The room also had ceiling damage that appeared to have had some poor repairs made. Breakfast was poor on account of the server being unable to keep up with demand. Seriously, I'm one that seldom does surveys, but this deserves negative commentary as a warning to others.

The front desk staff addressed me so pleasantly. They are always willing to assist in anyway needed. My room was nice and clean. The halls were very quiet and my sleep was amazing. I will definitely stay again.

The stay was really good. The hotel staff was friendly and they are always willing to help with anything that may be needed. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only thing I noticed was the pool was not yet opened, I really hope it would've been open.

The rooms were clean but small. The pool was waiting for an inspection so we couldn't swim. The pool was one of the main reason we chose this hotel. The hot breakfast was good. Would not recommend this hotel.

Let me start by saying it was clean. And that's were it ends. Shower was bloken, not enough chairs in the breakfast area. Mistery stain on one of the sheets, and the topping on the cake was that to pool that was listed as a feature is not actualy open for use. (My kids were devastated)

Quite pleasant stay, our room was clean & well supplied. We stayed for two days and didn't need room cleaning, We only requested towel replacement which was delivered promptly. The breakfast was actually quite good. Sausage Eggs Biscuits & Gravy and much more Hot and fresh. Considering what hotel breakfast has become during the great illness, we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was located conveniently to our destination and many stores & restaurants. The only issue was that the room carpets could use a good scrubbing. Wasn't real bad just well traveled & dated. We would stay here again.

Was a little nervous about the stay because there were mixed reviews. Paul McCartney was in Winston -Salem and most hotels (including this one) were full. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was nice and more than just a continental. Bed was comfy and shower had plenty of pressure. Nice flat screen TV. I have to compliment the front desk clerk Kayla, she was cool under pressure with a very busy lobby. She was friendly and never lost patience. Swift in the breakfast area was very friendly and stayed very busy keeping things full and clean. I was pleasantly surprised by my stay and would recommend if your not looking for a super fancy place. It was a great value too.

Wish they had a pool, not just a gym. Breakfast was a very good hot one including: biscuits, eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, juice and coffee. My king room was quite large with a chair and ottoman. Wish the front desk clerk asked if I was a Rewards member. I had to ask ......to receive 2 free bottles of water.

Nice friendly place to stay. The breakfast was nice and clean. PAM was super helpful. We would definitely stay again if we need another stay over. It is across from the hospital. Lots of places to eat in the area

I have stayed at this BW+ one week a month for the past 2 years. It is clean, quiet and easy proximity to restaurants, shopping etc. The staff know me when I come in and the rooms I prefer are always booked for me.

Hotel was clean, room was accommodating & King bed was comfortable, had a great night's sleep & nice breakfast in the morning, good value, only major improvements would be to fix parking lot & train front desk staff to be more professional & inviting to guests.

Rooms were dirty. Whole place reeked of pot. Furnishings in room were broken. Noises kept me up all night. Breakfast was inedible. No napkins or juice at breakfast. Food under and over cooked. Note on main door that entrance would be locked at sunset for guest safety.

I was put in a room that was INFESTED with bugs. Someone please explain how that could happen? and all I got was "sorry, let me find you another room" ???? I almost got the feeling the person checking me in gave me that room on purpose.

We were unable to stay at our new home for 2 nights and the Best Western near Hanes Mall was extremely clean and comfortable. The front desk was very helpful and enjoyable to talk with. We plan to stay there again!

My bed had white comforter that had stains on it In rest room the white towels that were hanging had black and brown stains on them My room smelled like a smokers room which I request a non smoking room The hallway every day had dirty towels and trash sitting outside ppls door The cleaning ppl when I asked them is there a garage area I can bring my room trash too they just look. At me So every day I would take my own trash out to the dumpster area so I didn't have to put it the hallway like everyone else

The lobby is very shabby. There were bugs in my room, hair on the sheets and holes in the sheets. Staff tried to cover the condition of the sheets up with bleach smell. I do not recommend anyone stay here.

My room was not cleaned during my 4 night stay. Only 2 wash clothes were provided and when I asked for extra wash clothes I was told none were available on several occasions by different ladies cleaning other rooms in the hallway. Both acted as if I offended them for asking. The furniture in the lobby is worn and needs to be replaced this sets the tone for the property. I would expect more from this hotel considering the proximity to the hospital.

I have stayed at this location multiple times while working town. This is the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at. I never hear other guests in the hall or above me. The rooms are always clean and well kept. The Staff is very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this location

Clean.. did spot a little critter under the lamp crawling around… didn't see any others. Other than that.. room was clean minus the towels on the sink were already wet. Good stay overall and would stay again in the future.

The room we occupied for 10 nights was a delight to return to each night Mr. swift was always a great guy to have our breakfast with him as he was totally on top of things and had an amazing personality. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful with our experience and we will be returning in about 6 weeks. Kudos to all the staff and my only complaint is that we encountered people who were not taking precautions and wearing masks while Covid is still a concern.

What I need in a hotel is cleanliness, a personable staff, a hot shower, some peace and quiet, and a comfy bed. If that fits your needs, then this is a great place to stay! Breakfast leaned toward the sweet end of the spectrum, but overall we had a great experience.

My partner and I were coming to town the night before a day of appointments. Unfortunately, due to a medical event we were not able to make out trip. We made our reservation with Kayla. She was efficient, friendly, and helpful. When I called to cancel our reservation I was pleased to find Kayla on duty. She cancelled our reservation without complication and was very kind. This is the type of employee who attracts business to an establishment. You can be sure we will stay at Best Western Hanes Mall on our future trips to W-S.

We always stay here when we come to visit Wake Forest University. Always clean, friendly and the location is so convenient. Love getting a hot breakfast too! We look forward to our stay every year and always recommend this hotel to friends!

This is my first time to stay at this location in 2 years and sadly, it will be my last. I was shocked at how much the hotel has taken a turn for the worse. The entire building smelled of mold, torn furniture and over used bedding. The pillows were absolutely terrible! Cleanliness was below average, it wasn't awful but enough to where I will not stay again. Lastly, the staff I encountered was extremely rude during check in and check out.

Front deskStaff refused to wear over nose. Ripped and stained furniture and bedding. Mold in bathtub.very poor quality. Needs a complete overhaul- do not stay here. It should be your last option. Needs complete staff training.

Tweezers from a past guest found in the room. This is a pretty good indication cleaning isn't detailed. In the time of covid one would think cleaning would be priority. The shower curtain rod was barely staying up and poorly mounted. Shower curtain wouldn't stay closed and was so long it was a safety issue because feet could get tangled. Ceiling was peeling. Carb only breakfast.

For being a BW Plus, it was more like a normal BW. Breakfast was COVID reduced to cold cereal and pastries, juice tasted pretty weird from the fountain. Rooms are decent, some lingering odors in halls, elevators and rooms, in my opinion maybe pot, and although they are nice and clean, they are a little cramped. Our window on the 3rd floor didn't have a screen, which, when you have kids, kinda freaks you out. I had to keep the window open cause it was stuffy and there was a strange smell (I had to keep yelling at my kids to stay away from the window). My wife thinks the odor was mildew, cause there was blackish greenish spots in the bathroom ceiling and on the bathroom door. The rooms are pretty sound-proof. The whole place is clean and pretty. The parking lot basically doesn't make sense, and it didn't bother me too much cause I had a Tahoe, but, it's all tore up and stuff, and I'm not sure why. It's probably the ugliest thing on the premises. Half the staff are really nice, half of them were aloof. Winston-Salem is nice, too, but, busy, cars everywhere, it's like a mess of 10 different highways. The restaurant nearby, the Carriage House, is in walking distance, but to drive to it you have to use like 3 exits, haha! But it's worth it, the food was very very good, and the people there are so nice. Hope this helps!

Stay someplace else. If you like to overpay for shabby, this is the place. Do you live hearing water dripping? Running up and down the stairs until you find an ice machine? Take a dip in a dirty pool? Ride an elevator that is filthy with notices taped to the wall? And pay $200 a night for this? And is a $64 Uber ride away from everything? Enjoy.

We had such a great stay at this hotel! It's very lovely and the staff is amazing! Everyone was so nice to deal with. The room was comfy and large! Nice beds! And the location is fantastic, a short drive to everything! We will definitely be back to stay here again.

Good for one night but I would not recommend this hotel for an extended stay. Outside of the water bugs in the bathroom and cracks in the siding of the walls in the room don't expect much. The breakfast was adequate and the staff was friendly but you pay for what you get.

It was acceptable, and we had no problems. It's just a dated hotel and not the cleanest place we've ever stayed. We were on our first trip without kids and hoping for a nicer place. Overall feeling of our stay was "MEH."

I took a shower late at night and found out that the door knob was loose. I was not able to open it So I had to call my roommate who tried and gave up. So, she called the receptionist, she came try again and had to open the door breaking it. Called the manager at the end of our stay and said that he would reimburse me $30.00 . He said, well you know I had to damage the door, so I answered him I didnt want to break the door, I didnt... Since I am a VRBO owner and I handle much better those kind of situations, Manager deserves a 1 star. I would suggest to have the maintenance person to tight all the door knobs and check those and much more. Rooms are old and small. As well as the shower. I give a 5 stars to Pam, one of the receptionist who was helpful and extremely nice. And 5 stars to the receptionist who decided to break the door and let me out. Maybe Pam should be the manager. Time to have women as managers.

Although I don't like hotel rooms with the sink outside the bathroom, this room was very clean and accommodating. The internet was unreliable and weak. The fitness area was small and the Treadmill didn't work. The hotel staff that checked me in was personable, professional and helpful.

Room was very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Close to wake forest Baptist Hospital. Feel very comfortable with location in a good part of town. The wife and I highly recommend Best Western Plus always a pleasant experience

This is my family's second time staying here when in the area. The rooms are always clean and the staff were attentive and knowledgable. We only experienced a minor issue. The tub drain was broken, but that was a very minor thing.

I went to Best Western because of the reviews that I had researched and checked out online first. Overall everything was great, the room was clean and the staff were very courteous and friendly! I was a little put off that they did not have the great looking full breakfast buffet that originally drew me to consider the hotel. I was told that it was due to Covid (understandable but disappointing)! There seemed to be a lack of optional cable channels although they have two "HBO" channels and the major news channels if that's what you are into. I stayed in the two queen size room and the room seemed small as well as the bathroom. However I would stay there again because it served my purpose for staying and the staff were sincerely interested in doing their best to make sure everything was pleasant! The price for my room was great as well, it just wasn't what I expected it to be though from the way that it appeared online. I guess that I was a little put off by that as my first impression, but after I got over the shock, the price was right and the staff made my visit well worth while and I would not hesitate to stay again! The beds slept great! I hope this helps!

Very small room – if you are sitting at the desk, impossible for someone else to walk by Furniture – peeling veneer Wireless network keeps dropping Light fixture coming out of ceiling Despite their own web site – fitness center is closed Despite their own web site – there is no full breakfast, not even complimentary breakfast. Signs in breakfast area say there is continental breakfast but only have “grab and go” with the most limited options. Slowest elevators I have ever encountered. Free local calls under 30 minutes but toll free calls get cut off after a minute or so. A hotel with 130 rooms needs more than one washer and dryer for guests to use. Tub faucet constant drip – no hot water to take a shower – water drains super slowly. Washing machine – soap drawer disgustingly filthy Dryer had about 5 years of lint in the lint filter Can hear the running water in the room next door Missing the simplest things – no pen, no note paper The entrance requires a tight turn from a busy street and most of the parking lot is not paved. And no one at the front desk cared at all

Second time I stayed here for a business trip. Location was convenient to everything I needed and staff was accommodating as always. When next assigned to this location, I will stay again - sign up for the Rewards program!

Everything was wonderful . All Staff Was Courteous And Helpful. Breakfast Was Good Considering COVID-19. I Plan To Visit Again When I Am In Need Of A Hotel — This Wikk Be My Place Of Choice. Room Was Clean.

Day 1. After we checked in we immediately dropped our bags off in the room and went to view the body of our deceased relative. We noticed that the room we reserved was not similar to the one we purchased online, but we didn't have time to acknowledge it until we got back to the hotel. We were told that you do not offer rooms like the one advertised online. I was ok with that explanation. However, it should be noted somewhere on the website that the room shown is not similar to the room on the website. Day 2. The next morning I woke up and saw the stained curtains. Then I went to take a shower and noticed the drain was not working. The water was up to my ankles by the time I got out to dry off. I called to report the dirty curtains and clogged drain in the tub. I requested to be moved to a different room. The woman in front was nice enough to oblige. We received our key cards and moved our luggage to the new room #325 and left immediately for the funeral. We came back to our room long enough to change our clothes and left out again. We did not get back to room until after midnight. Which is why we did not notice the filth in the bathroom immediately. Day 3. My husband walked in the bathroom. He asked if I had been in there. I had not. He asked me to take a look at the toilet. What I saw was utterly disgusting. I noticed poop particles all over the toilet, towels, and walls. I called the front desk immediately and asked to speak with a manager. I was told the manager did not come in until 3pm. Around 3:20pm I called and spoke with Pam. I explained everything above to her. This hotel is very unsanitary. It is also a health risk as housekeeping is not thoroughly cleaning the bathrooms. Properly cleaned rooms should take precedence over everything else as we are still in the midst of a pandemic. Cleanliness is the most important detail to keeping customers safe and protect from the COVID-19 virus as well as other harmful bacteria. Since the second room was in worse condition than the first, we decided it would be best to clean the toilet ourselves using the gloves and Clorox wipes we keep in our vehicle. I should not have to clean up a room that should have been thoroughly cleaned prior to our entrance to the room. I contacted the general manager and the manager of the hotel. I asked for information to contact the corporate office myself. However the GM wrote me back to inform me he would forward my message. I would prefer to do this myself.

Excellent stay, friendly staff, easy access from interstate 40 and right next door to Hanes Mall and across street from hospital great location. Lots of restaurants directly behind hotel will definitely use this property again.

Coffee was always available when we wanted it. The staff was always pleasant and helpful, We were close to the hospital at this location. We felt safe during our stay. One small repair was requested, and taken care of on the same day.

Wonderful stay. Always friendly and welcoming service. Quiet, clean, and safe atmosphere! The rewards program is a must. Its nice to earn point and free snacks! I travel for work in the area and im always able to get a lovely room and Ive come to know the staff and they are wonderful

It certainly served our basic need for an affordable place to stay. They are not doing normal breakfast due to covid so they are doing “breakfast bags” to take back up to your room, and one morning they were out of bagels. Our room keys also stopped working prior to the end of our trip but they fixed it. Beds are not comfortable but shower desk microwave etc are fine. Reasonably clean.

I did have some trouble with the water not being hot but soon before I even had to call the front desk they were already on it and got the water to work so I was really happy about that. Friendly staff helpful too. Close to many food options!

Due to Covid-19 gym and pool closed which is a given rooms were good clean fresh and clean. Lobby was very clean too front desk staff very helpful the Hispanic lady very friendly and helpful the morning staff was good but could be a little more friendlier also would have been better if she has her mask on as required by all personal. Breakfast was a little bit sad but I totally understand due to the circumstance everything it's not full up and running. Over all my stay was excellent will definitely recommend to family and friends!

I've noticed over the last 20 years a lot of mid to low level hotels have seriously declined on what they deliver Best Western is not one of those. Quite the contrary they have consistently stepped up their game almost heading into high end level this place is no exception. If you can get in get great place to stay!

The room was clean, but our view was depressing. The outside perimeter is in need of maintenance the fence is need of repair. At night the lighting was poor if I was alone I would not have felt safe. Customer services was okay.

Not very impressed with this hotel. Pool wasn't open (not their fault, totally understand that) but that was really the only reason we booked here. When we arrived there were people everywhere not social distancing..apparently there was a party in one of the meeting rooms. The room we stayed in was pretty run down. Mold in the bathroom (on the ceiling, around the tub) hair in the drain that wasn't ours, and a couple bugs we had to kill. All of this I could get over..but the smoke that could be smelled in our room from a room down the hall was the last straw..not just cigarette smoke. The party that was downstairs was moved to a room I'm guessing. Do yourself a favor and spend a couple more bucks to stay in a nicer place.

My daughter and I were in Winston Salem for only one night and I decided to stay here, this was the best decision I could have made. We were apartment shopping so by the time we reached the hotel we were exhausted. When I approached the front desk I was greeted with a smile as the clerk sanitized everything before I used it, because she had just helped someone before me. The lobby was extremely clean and smelled so good. The room was beautiful and clean, no hair on the bathroom floor, I see that alot in hotels. We decided to sit down for a minute and rest but the beds were so comfortable that we took a 3 hour nap, got up took showers and got right back in our comfortable beds. I was overall pleased with this hotel, the only thing I will do different next time is request a room away from the ice machine in the hallway.

Stayed here during vivid 19. Understood social distancing practices. But while checking in late. Midnight. Saw a homeless person passed out at the computer station in. And had to acknowledge that we would not try to stay here for more than our 1 night. Checked out on May 09. Realized that we had forgot our electric toothbrush. Called front desk. Very short and not helpful. Acted like we were an inconvenience to her. Never offered to look for it. Will never stay here again. Old and tired hotel. Lousy part of town.

We came in with a college baseball team from Michigan with 32 players 3 Coaches and a bus driver. We had never stayed here before and were very satisfied with the Staff,Clean rooms ,Breakfast and WiFi. I liked that I could grab a fresh cup of coffee any time 24 hours a day. If our Players wanted a snack they could get it from the store set up in the lobby and the hotal had a wounderful location.We stayed there a total of 4 nights and would stay here again.

The Best Western Plus Hanes Mall was a welcome sight at the end of an 1,200 km/750 mile day's travel from Toronto. The last 15-20 minutes seemed to take forever after exiting highway (US-52) but we were there soon enough. Check in was efficient and we got into our room without incident. The desk was sure to get us a room apart from the college baseball team that was sharing the hotel. I don't know about anyone else but we had a peaceful evening and chatted with some of the players at breakfast next morning. Ours was a two Queen room and as is now commonplace with mid-tier hotels, there's only a single bedside table that's between the two beds. Two AC outlets are included in the base of the bedside lamp. A personal bugaboo, lighting seemed predominantly the "cool white" colour temperature that I dislike. I much prefer "warm white" lighting. The beds were comfortable enough and the TV had a variety of digital and analog stations. The room itself seemed a bit on the narrow side, care was required squeeze between the dresser and bed or between the workstation and bed. The room does have a small sitting chair that I always find convenient for putting on shoes. While it seems the decor has been updated recently, the environmental system has not. It's an under window unit and, like older style units, the original unit controls are still in use. That is, there is no wall thermostat. Also, it may be my imagination but it felt a bit louder than I'm accustomed to with newer units. The room features a sink and mirror separate from the bath and toilet. Towels and towel bars were plentiful. Breakfast was included and featured the usual fare and was otherwise unremarkable. Overall we were happy with our one night stay before moving on. BTW, we spent 1/2-day visiting Old Salem before moving off to our next destination in Charleston, SC.

A good location for Hospitals in the area. Easy Entry or Exit to I 40. Hanes Mall available for shopping and several Restaurants. Staff very efficient and friendly. Main thing was our room was very clean!!! The whole hotel was clean. Staff was super nice and helpful. Breakfast was good as well. Definitely would stay here again and would recommend to anyone. Convenient as well

The staff and hotel were extremely helpful and caring during an unexpected long term stay! The staff went out of their way in a number of ways to accommodate me, be it at the front desk, food service at breakfast or maid staff who were always helpful and willing to go the extra step!

The rooms here are clean and very comfortable. The staff was also helpful. My one complaint is that the breakfast buffet was not adequately stocked. They were out of various items when I arrived at 8am. Would have given 5 stars if not for that.

Came and checked in a quarter till 3p. The receptionist at the front wasn't quite warm and friendly but she was professional. I've travel five hours on the road to come visit friends and family. Knowing it was going to snow, decided to check in to this location and get some rest. After being checked in and two hours later. Relaxed and had a couple of drinks. There's a knock on my door. Since I didn't get up fast enough, the foreign Filipino lady let her self in my room asking me questions about my check in. Very uncomfortable, so I asked if there was a problem. She said yes, left and said she will be returning to the front desk with a call to my room. All I want to do is relax after working and driving all the way up here to spend time with my fam. Next time I will make other arrangements. Bad enough the room isn't clean with dirty Q-tips swept under the bathroom sink.

My wife & I enjoyed our stay at the Best Western. The breakfast waffles are excellent the rooms were clean & the staff were helpful. We stayed three nights and I'm very pleased that I choose Best Western for our stay. Reasonable prices and comfort made our stay worth while.

Location is very convienent to Forsyth Hospital. My daughter-in-law had to come there for surgery and the location could not have been better. A friendly staff made the stay even better. My grandson loved the breakfast, especially the waffles! Would stay there again. Good rate

We started staying at the Best Western Hanes Mall in 2018. It was the best decision. Very enjoyable stay each time. We choose it over and over! Our 12 year old daughter insists and says the breakfast is the best and the employees make her feel safe.

My group stayed here for two nights with two rooms on separate floors over the weekend. Hotel seemed decent enough, however, we had no hot water. On Saturday morning I noticed the issue when I went to shower and immediately informed the front desk. They advised they would have maintenance address it. Then again Sunday morning our group experienced the same issue on different floors. When checking out Sunday morning I again advised the front desk personnel of the issue and their response was that they were aware it (as many guests had complained) and it was probably because they were just busy that weekend. I was disappointed that the hotel was unable to provide the very basic amenity of having hot water for a shower and then was unable to remedy the issue in a timely manner even after multiple complaints.

The staff that checked us in was very helpful and polite. I wish I could remember the desk clerk's name. She checked me in about 7 pm on Friday and checked me out at 1 pm Saturday. The hotel is a little worn but overall okay. My wife is very particular when it comes to hotel stays and her comment was, "Its not somewhere I would want to stay again". The hotel stay was a very good value for the cost. Yes, the bathrooms are small. The street noise is amazingly not a problem.

The lobby & dinning extra clean & nice. Nice secure parking well lit. Rooms were clean, bed comfortable. The breakfast had hot choices & offered options-& hardest working lady around keeping it clean & stocked. Night clerk Gwendolyn super sweet & warm. Only thing I'd do differently would be to ask for room not on hospital side of building-some noise from ambulances. Overall for the money, a good bargain. The other folks staying were friendly & on their way to family events.

Spending Christmas here was actually very enjoyable, I reserved a king room with spa bath. The bath was very comfortable, as well as the bed and the front desk service was very helpful and so nice! Thank you

Front Desk personnel were friendly with exception of 1 employee, her cell phone was more important then the guest in front of her, constantly giving the wrong information and the list goes on, breakfast was horrible, tables were constantly dirty during breakfast, the hallway on the second floor smelled like a skunk just went off, carpets have not seen a good cleaning in a long while, probably never since opening.

A good stay around the Thanksgiving holiday, convenient, my room was very clean, all services were fine, front desk (Akita) personnel and houskeeping staff (Edith) were excellent.Only improvement would be healthier breakfast choices, and better coffee.

We stayed two nights at this hotel. It is conveniently located for a short drive to a number of attractions and restaurants. This hotel tends to attract business people. The breakfast area is clean and well-maintained. It has a modern feel. The parking area is large and easy to maneuver. Those with mobility issues will find this hotel quite accessible. while there was nothing outstanding about this stay we were pleased in general and would not hesitate to stay again.

We had a very nice stay. We had a 4th floor room. It had a very comfortable bed. TV had great channel selection. The lighten was quite adequate. The elevator was quick too! Breakfast was good too. Nice selection.

I highly recommend this hotel. It is right off the road and close to many restaurants, the mall and other shopping areas. Wake Forest Baptist Hospital is about 20 minutes away and there are 2 hospitals across the road.

Do yourself a favor and request a room away from the side entrance of the hotel, if not you will have to hear the door slamming ALL night long! And if you are looking for a hotel with a bathroom big enough to turn around in do not get room 231, the bathroom was the size of a portable toilet with a shower!

I attended a conference in Winston Salem NC and chose this Best Western Plus for my overnight stay. My room was very clean, very comfortable bed and bedding, TV and WiFi all in good order. A nice variety breakfast was offered with the stay. A welcome addition to begin a long conference day. The convenience to the conference center was also a plus for me.

The outside of the hotel looks like it has been there for a while. Happily, the inside of the hotel must have had an extensive remodel to bring this Best Western hotel up to the plus standard. The WiFi was easy and everything in the room worked well. Our hotel was very quiet during our visit. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

No frills but very adequate for the price. Decently clean, very good free breakfast, excellent location with respect to Wake Forest and the giant mall. We were very happy with the quality-price ratio. Nothing spectacular in the rooms, no view, and you can hear when the neighbors turn on their shower but all in all, we were quite satisfied.

I booked this hotel for a group outing (55 people). I was a little concerned when we pulled up, because of the lack of pavement in some of the parking area (construction). But once we went inside and checked into our rooms, my worries were over. the rooms were clean and the staff were excellent. The only complaint that I had, was the lack of hot water.

Was in town for the Hornets-Sixers game and stayed just one night. Front desk very courteous and check in was quick. Stayed in a 2 queen room and it was great! Wifi was fast and reliable, beds were soft and took advantage of the microwave and fridge. Shower had nice water pressure, but the ceiling was a little low. But as long as you're not about 6'5", you should be fine. Hot water was lacking on Saturday morning, but it wasn't cold. Room had everything we needed. Breakfast was nice. Buffett had fried eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Also had two waffle makers, one for minis and one for a regular size. Also had a good array of juices and coffee. Breakfast area was a little small, but I made it down before the crowd showed up. Parking close to the hotel was hard to find when we returned about 10 Friday night, but there was plenty of parking, even if you had to walk a little. Will definitely return to this hotel if I'm in the Winston-Salem area again. Novant Health was right across the street, and Hanes Mall right next door. You can walk if you want, but we decided to drive.

The common areas were very clean, as was the room. The staff were all helpful. The breakfast offerings were fine. Coffee was actually pretty good. My only issue were the beds in our rooms. They were terribly uncomfortable, and everyone found it hard to sleep both nights. If the mattresses were replaced, I would definitely give the hotel a higher rating.

The breakfast was nice. The room was nice. I loved having plenty of pillows and towels. There were three things that I say would be nice but would not stop me from staying there again. One-for breakfast having a list of ingredients for those with food allergies or sensitivities. Two-the towel bar by the sink is in the way. Three-it would be nice if the sink area was bigger. It is to small. Especially if there is more then one person staying in the room. All in all We enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again.

The staff were super friendly and we had a nice hot breakfast each morning. The rooms were very clean, This place was moderately priced but provided everything we needed. We may come back when we need to be in the Winston Salem area again. It beat a much higher priced local hotel we used last time. One more thing, there was a mix up caused by the booking service we used and a call directly to the hotel took care of it. They were absolutely great!

Amazing kitchen staff, the workers should be praised more often for great customer service and given RAISES!! I went to plenty of hotels and never have they went the extra mile to provide food earlier than normal. THANK YOU

We travel a lot, and I can tell you that this room anywhere else we have traveled would have easily cost $130-$150, yet it was under $90 the nights we stayed. Rooms were modern, clean, and the breakfast was very good. Well worth it, can't go wrong !

My teammates and myself stayed the weekend for an ultimate frisbee tourney and had to be up Sunday morning an hour before breakfast began. We asked the front desk to open just the continental breakfast early, to which they pleasantly and willingly agreed to do. We came down the next morning to Phyllis and Diane (kitchen staff) finishing setting up the entire hot bar as well. They greeted myself and my team with a smile, they were professional and made us feel welcome and at home. I believe these ladies, and so many others like them have an often times thankless job, so I just wanted to say again, THANK YOU!

The presentation of the hotel from the lobby to the hallways were nice. Very clean and attractive decor. The room however could use more cleaning. Hair was in the tub, left over hangers from the picture in the room, tub peeling. Did not stay long enough to catch breakfast or use any amenities like the pool. It worked for an overnight stay.

The rooms and breakfast area were spotless! The employees were super helpful and professional. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! The breakfast was superb! The waffle toppings were outstanding! Great location. The gym was smelly and the pool is old and not super well maintained (no towels either), so if you don't need those this is definitely the place for you. The mall and hospital are within walking distance. There were normal people staying there. I would definitely stay here again!

I stay at many hotels during the year. This particular hotel was an exceptional stay for me. The staff were professional and courteous. The room was clean and modern and comfortable bed. The breakfast is definitely one of the best I have had in a hotel.

This is a great property, great value, clean comfortable rooms, breakfast is included is very good! The staff is helpful and friendly. The fitness center is clean and has a number of machines. The beds and pillows are quite nice and the rooms have refrigerators and microwaves.

Our stay was the worse experience in our life.We did not feel valued or appreciated as guests. the staff is so rude and unprofessional, the front desk staff is a joke, they don't even look at their customers at the eyes and chew gum in your face!!! We found hairs in bathroom and a sock from other guest inside the bed, how gross!!! they don't change their linen when a new guest arrives??? We will not be returning

We stayed here while dropping off our daughter for college. Our room was very clean. We stayed on the fifth floor which is the top level, it was very quiet even though the room faced a busy highway. The location is great if you need to shop, easy commute to downtown and UNCSA. While the bathroom is tiny, the shower is hot and refreshing. I was disappointed with the pool and the fitness area. The pool area is neglected, needed updated as well as cared for. The chairs were not cleaned or straightened out each morning, the area is not visually pleasing and therefore did not provide a relaxing area to rest and recuperate after the college drop off. The gym area has an awful smell which could be fixed very easily. I had a great interaction with the front desk when I had a problem, I appreciated his kindness and help.

Reported that the toilet was not flushing properly (it wasn't acting right from the time I got there, so I assume it was clogged somewhere down the line.) I tried to report the issue by phone, but the phone didn't work. I tried to call from my cell, but only got a recording saying the number was not in working order. I finally went downstairs, no one was there, but other guests were, as they were reporting the internet being down. The front desk person returned and said someone would come up to fix the toilet. That never happened. I stayed on the 4th floor, but had to go to the lobby to use the rest room. With the internet being down I could not work. My stay was very noisy. Being near the one ice machine in the building didn't help, and once the drag racing on Silas Creek Parkway settled down around 2am, I was finally able to sleep for a while. I asked about a discount or refund, but was told that was not possible since I booked through booking.com, and I have to speak with the owner. He was not there. I asked others about their stay and they seemed pleased.

Upon check-in, during our stay, and check-out, staff was accomodating but not welcoming. I wasn't asked how our stay was- I was prepared to nicely address my concerns but didn't get the opportunity. Rooms are run down but clean; as long as someone in the room above you doesn't overflow the tub.

Toilet kept stopping up, bath tub faucet kept running non-stop. Notified front desk, maintenance came I assumed and the running faucet turned to drip. Then when I took a shower the drip returned back to running.

I was in town with 2 others for a conference. We had a great stay and the staff were friendly, professional, and treated us like guests. It is conveniently located near the Hanes Mall if you need a quick something to do.

BW Plus provided us the perfect stop over stay. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. We arrived quite late at night and they took special care to ensure an easy check in process. Breakfast offerings were plentiful and staff stayed on top of supply and demand. The L design of breakfast area causes congestion when trying to get to food. Check out was easy. We would definitely return when passing through town. Easy access to highway too

This is a fairly recently updated hotel, and the room was nice. The mattresses would never be found in the Ritz, but they were not uncomfortable. We were in a room with two queens, but post-remodeling there is only a tiny vanity area out in the hall across from the enclosed toilet and shower, with one tiny sink, and you must exit the toilet enclosure to use that sink to wash your hands. As only two people, we kept running into each other wanting that sink! I can only imagine what a group of 4, which is the advertised occupancy for that room, must experience! But the reason for writing this review is how we, as guests, felt very affected by the managements' cutting of corners where staffing and breakfast were concerned. When we arrived at 3:45 on a busy Friday afternoon, there were more than 10 people waiting in line to check in and it took almost 25 minutes for it to be our turn. This was because only one woman was assigned to check in guests for a 5 floor hotel deemed large enough to require two elevators!! To her credit, she was polite and attentive to each person in their turn and moved as rapidly as anyone could have. But she was under terrible pressure, and people were growing increasingly annoyed at the long wait, and the need to stand in an ever-lengthening line! When we got our keys and glanced back, 20 more people had gotten in line behind us! The next morning, Saturday, we discovered that breakfast did not open until 7:00 AM! We had an early commitment so we had to leave without breakfast. But Sunday we looked forward to breakfast only to discover that on Sunday breakfast does not start until 7:30!! We came down at 7:00 to find a mob of people dressed for church and increasingly angry at the wait! (They were apparently attending an area weekend religious conference and this was the last morning.) We both felt sorry for the little breakfast girl who finally showed up and had to face what had by then become an ugly, angry group! Frankly, both the check-in and breakfast situations left us, as paying guests, feeling abused and cheated by a management who inconveniences arriving guests by failing to schedule an adequate number of staff to check people in and who delays breakfast in what can only be seen as a blatant effort to avoid feeding as many people as possible!! Shame on this manger, whoever they are!

Ice machine out of order on our floor this visit. Very inconvenien! Breakfast was excellent! Keep up the good work! Staff very helpful! Parking left a lot to be desired at this location! There could be more luggage carts available for guest. Maid service very helpful and considerate.

Rooms are very tight, especially the bathroom. The sink is outside of the bathroom. Several family members had to moved to different rooms due to BUGS. The pool and the surrounding area look like it hadn't been cleaned in a good while. There were cigarette butts around the leisure area of the pool, even though it's a smoke-free hotel.

Visiting Family even though this hotel is an hour way from my daughter it is worth the drive. Friendly staff and clean rooms. The free breakfast is great. Fresh fruit, yogurt, waffle maker and eggs. It is perfect for my grandsons.

My family stays here frequently while visiting. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The rooms have always been clean and well appointed. The pool is kept clean and there are always plenty of pool towels stocked. Definitely recommend.

Easy access from the highway. Need to fix the parking. Seems like a popular hotel but the spots for paved parking are limited so parking in gravel or mud happens. Nice breakfast. Clean hotel and front staff is friendly.

I use to be a hotel manager and I am real picky when it comes to finding a place of comfort and cleanliness! Front Desk Pamela, (Hawaiian girl) made me feel at home with her great love and energy. I was very happy with everything. The only thing that upset me which is uncontrollable by the hotel is no treadmill so I tried to run outside and that's not so friendly because there's no sidewalks.

I was shocked to how nice our room and stay was, after hearing others opinions! So i would have to agree with the statements of “Can't listen to others opinions, Just try it yourself” ! It was a Very nice stay Clean, Quiet & Just nice overall! Which is all you can ask for in a hotel stay! We checked out of the hotel we had originally booked and drove a mile down the road. The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean and fresh. Everything worked. It was a nice big room. Best Western was a blessing.

the hotel room was fine but after i left was double charged for room been working two months to get charge removed from acct. Have called hotel numerous times left message fro gm. talked to him once said he would get problem seen about and would call back. that was over a month ago. have left numereous messages since with no call back. Called the 800# who was no help either.

Room was nice and clean. Bathroom very small but clean. Check in staff nice. Breakfast pretty good. Parking wasn't great but so so. Convenient location. Overall was a good stay and would definitely stay here again. Cleanliness is important to us and they've got that down here

Stayed there on night prior to graduation. Very basic room, which was fine... but price was ridiculous and the shower had absolutely no water pressure. Even worse: about 10 hairs stuck on the shower stall walls. Maybe lack of water pressure was to blame? Maybe housekeeping? Either way, this place is off of the list of future potential options. Go someplace else!

The location is convenient. That's why we chose to stay there. Small, awkward, crowded parking area. Could use some updating. Staff friendly and courteous. As soon as we got off the elevator for our floor we were hit with an odor, like a wet carpet smell, and quite humid. Our room was a bit humid also. It has the older style A/C in the wall under a window, with the thermostat and controls on that. At least it worked ok. The tub/shower combo's faucet had a constant little stream of hot water. We couldn't get it to stop. The mini fridge made noise, so we turned it off. The room was pretty clean. Bed was fairly comfortable. Breakfast was a typical free breakfast. Be careful where you park. When we were leaving in the morning we discovered our car had been hit by a vehicle parked next to us. But they left without telling us or the front desk that they had damaged our vehicle. Very disappointing.

Overall we had a nice stay here. Got a great price so that is the reason we picked this location, also it is located next to the mall area and that was our reason in coming to WS. Parking can be an issue as there isn't many "good" spaces, and you will need to either park in a dirt lot or up the hill from the hotel. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed, the only issue was it would take the sink 30 minutes or so to drain, since we were only staying one night, we didn't worry about it. Breakfast was a mess - the two times we tried it was out of both eggs and bacon - I don't think it was because of not trying I think they were just overwhelmed and couldn't keep up. Overall, for what we needed for one night - it was fine and I would stay here again.

The room, while tight was adequate for our needs. Very clean and neat. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Good breakfast. Parking could have been a little better but it seems that there was some work being done. We will definitely return.

This Best Western is well placed in Winston Salem. Easy access to shopping and restaurants. About 10 minutes from Reynolda Gardens. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean with no odd smells.

My room was clean and comfortable thank you. Only issue was the breakfast you served muffins with nuts and I am highly allergic and I did take a bite of the muffin and I did have a reaction I approached the desk and asked why they had no sign stating contains nuts they did apologize and asked if I needed assistence I said no I have medication in my room luckily i didnt have to use my epi-pen unfortunately the next morning there was no sign again disappointed that my concerns were not corrected.

Justin and Kita are the best staff I have encountered. My family and I appreciate you taking time out to care for us and meet every night big or small. This was a pleasant experience and stay I will definitely be returning in a few months. Hope to see Justin and Kita again. I will definitely be requesting either one of them

Before I start, let me say one thing: I dislike hotels to my core. I always feel like I need a hazmat suit. I'm essentially a hotel snob with a middle class budget. But I understand the necessity of hotels. So, if you're very particular about hotels that you stay in, read on. If not, you may want to read a less judgmental review. I stayed at this hotel in April 2019 on a trip with my daughter to see colleges in the area. 1) Lobby - It was actually larger than I would have thought but dimly lit. By most standards it would be considered "good enough." But we skipped the free breakfast in the morning because for some reason it didn't seem that inviting. To be fair, 99% of hotel goers would likely feel fine there. But if you're in the 1% ... 2) Location - Right around the corner from a large mall, plenty of places to eat nearby and close to universities. Also, close to highways. 3) The room - Have you ever checked into a hotel and smelled a battle between carpet fresh and the odor of the room? This was my experience, and the odor won. Again, most people would likely be perfectly fine,but I judge hotels very harshly. 4) The bed - The mattress was a bit squishy for me but it may be fine for others. 5) Bathroom - It was o.k. if you're only there for a night. It was cramped and there were a few water stains, which grossed me out. Bottom line - It's better than sleeping in your car.

So far the hotel seems to be above average. Hotel rooms seems to be clean. Beds seem to be fairly comfortable the staff seems to be ok. We checked in late after dark the parking lot here is not a big enough for the property I had to park in a gravel lot and was approached by a person on a moped with a sob story asking for money. The gravel lot is dark and unacceptable. The person went and asked a other gest outside. Not sure if the location is good or not since I dont know the area. Its located across from the hospital which in my experience doesnt always draw the beat people. I doublt I would stay again.

I stayed here for about a year working out of town. I had tried some other hotels in the area as well but this was the best one that I had found. And the rate was way better then the others at the time.

We had a family emergency that caused us to stay in 3 different rooms during the 10 days we were here. Each time the hotel was very helpful in extending our visit. All the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast selections were varied enough for our long stay. The tables at breakfast could be wiped between guests and clean up should not start 15 minutes before the published time it is supposed to end,

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and really clean, the cleaning staff do a great job. We only experienced 1 issue and it was taken care of quickly, although it was a little frustrating after a long day. We would stay here again though. Beautiful hotel!

The staff was top notch from helping with small needs to ensuring my sister was able to get me in my room. They treated me with respect and kindness. I appreciate you all more then you will ever know.

This was one of the worst experiences my husband and I have had at a hotel. Upon checking in the girl was very rude. Except for two of the women that worked behind the desk the rest were rude and not hospitable at all. The first room we had the AC did not work they sent maintenance he came up acted like he fixed it and then left and it was still broken. We ended up switching rooms. the second room had roaches and black ants and was not clean. The next day the rude maid cleaned our room and left dumped crumbs all over the carpet and never vacuumed. She also rummaged through my suitcase. I know this because I always set my suitcase a specific way to see if the maids are going to touch it. The breakfast which was included was somewhat OK the eggs were overcooked or stale because they were almost hard as a rock and rubbery when you tried to eat them the bagels and bread were stale and the service staff was extremely rude. We asked for an extra blanket and was told if we wanted it we had to come downstairs to the lobby and get it ourselves. Now this is a three star hotel and we have stayed in three are the star hotels before and they have always accommodated us by giving us extra blankets or pillows. We needed to actually extend our stay 3 more days so we booked at the Hampton Inn instead and we had a wonderful experience there!

When I arrived at the hotel, a well mannered professional young man greeted me at the desk (Justin). Got my room keys, went to my room. Had an immediate problem (I choose not to say), but Justin handled it immediately, called me within in 20 minutes to let me know the GM would be taking 15% off the room price for the issue. Located right near the mall in walking or jogging distance, breakfast was great, the staff was great, I would definitely choose to stay there again if ever in Winston-Salem. Thank you Justin for your hospitality and professional display of how a hotel should operate when there are issues whether minor or major. Team Justin!!!

I was with a group of 7 ladies and we rented 4 rooms. The rooms were clean and the hot breakfast was one of the best I have had at a hotel. We would stay again as our overall experience was good. My only complaint about the room I was in is that the compressor on the fridge kept coming on during the night and the weird vibrating noise it made seemed to indicate something was wrong with it. This caused me to wake up several times during the night. My friends in the other rooms did not experience this with their refrigerators. One of the ladies did say her room seemed to have a funny "musky" smell that had seemed to be attacked by a strong cleaner smell. She happened to have some essential oils with her. She was able to take care of the smell herself without contacting the front desk. We all actually had commented how the hallways and other rooms did not have the weird smells you often experience at other hotels. I think her room was an isolated thing. I suppose no one can help who rents the room just before you! The only other minor issue was that I called the day prior to our arrival to ask about check-in time, which was 3pm. I was not told there could be delays. We arrived only 5 minutes early. Only 2 rooms were ready and we were told there was no way of knowing when the other rooms would be ready. I mentioned I was told check-in was at 3pm. They said they cannot release rooms until housekeeping gives them the ok. They also said they never know how long it will take housekeeping and that sometimes people ask for late check-out. Fortunately, everyone in my group is friends, so we just shared the 2 rooms to freshen up before we had to leave at 4pm. As we were leaving, the front desk was able to give us the other 2 room keys. This ended up being a minor thing, but wanted to mention in case someone is traveling alone and it is crucial you get in your room by a certain time. Make sure you call ahead and specify this to them. Overall we were pleased with the hotel and would stay again if we ever had to be in the area. It is also near Hanes Mall where we found a very nice food court that accomodated all of our preferences. We were also only a few minutes from Wake Forest University's Coliseum, where we were attending a conference.

Hotel is very clean and rooms are very comfortable. We enjoyed Hot breakfast in the morning. It offered lots of variety of hot and cold items. I will definitely be staying here again. Customer service is super friendly. They make you feel at home. Great job everyone.

I've stayed here multiple times, with children and alone.. each time I was treated the same. Full breakfast is a plus and location is across from hospital, literally next to mall and multiple shopping and food areas. Great location!!!

Even though they were remodeling , they kept the noise level down & there was no fumes/dust to deal with. Very great service at the front desk & very friendly. I would stay there on my next trip to the area!

We were staying during a difficult time. Our granddaughter was born with severe medical problems and was in the ICU at Brenner's Children Hospital. Unfortunately, she passed away, but the staff made us feel like we were family. They were always there to lend a hand or to just listen and always made sure we had a room when it was needed. I would never stay anywhere else!

Great staff very clean room the breakfast was GREAT a true plus. The front desk manager printed me down a map of my destination. The lady taking care of breakfast did a super job of keeping it full and hot. Will go back just for the FREE breakfast

Traveling through & booked on-line. Met Miss Lee, who was lovely & sweet. We asked about the pool, on-line through travel site misled us, its seasonal...but she up graded us to a room with a nice whirlpool tub! Yay! She offered great assistance in helping us find places to eat, with great directions. We were extra touched when the housekeeper greeted us & then said, “God bless you, have a nice day.” The beds were comfy & this place is quiet. Super nice staff across the board. A nice place to stay! Love ya' Miss Lee!

Great location, service, and rooms! We were there to visit UNCSA and this hotel is conveniently located near both UNCSA and Wake Forest University...and Hanes Mall. Tons of food options around. Breakfast at the hotel was a step above the standard budget level hotels and the service was great. Pam checked us in with a smile and willingly adjusted our rate (despite having booked through booking.com) down to the AAA rate when we shared our membership card. Clean and well-appointed rooms.

Great workers! They have some great customer service. I am always impressed by the swiftness of checking in. The beds are cozy and the wifi is pretty fast and doesn't lose connection. Hopefully, I will return when I get back in town.

My experience was awful due to broken fixture in bathtub and couldn't use soap bath at which I paid no discount offered as rooms where filling up due to weather and power. No assistance with issue offered nor follow up. Checked out at 9 and will not return back

Hotel was partially remodeled but not new. Hard to get to at night even with GPS. Went to get gas and drove over eight minutes. Could see a gas station but could n cross highway to get to it. Very poor location.

Stayed here while visiting a loved one in the hospital. Welcoming atmosphere, modern styling, comfortable beds, and excellent customer service. All of those attributes made a harrowing experience bearable. Ill definitely stay here again when in the area.

My husband and I stayed here 5 nights, including the days of the snowstorm. The hotel is clean. They have a hot breakfast every morning. The hotel has complimentary beverages available all day long. The room was kind of small, as was the bathroom. The queen beds were very clean and comfortable. Every day the maid service came and made up the beds, replaced the towels with clean ones and emptied the trash. The room was kept stocked with paper supplies and clean disposable cups for both hot and cold drinks. Employees here are nice and friendly to guests. I really recommend this hotel.

The location was very convenient and the hotel was clean. the staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer breakfast every morning with good hot food, and delicious coffee. The staff was very helpful when I needed directions to the location of my meetings due to road construction that required a detour.

I only stayed at this property for one night as I was only in town for a work conference but the room was nicely furnished and it was very quiet despite being on a fairly main road and right next to a mall. The gentleman who checked me in was very pleasant and cheerful. There was a couple from out of the country who checked in prior to me and he was extremely helpful explaining the check in process to them as the couple had some limited understanding of English.(I knew they were from out of the country as they presented a out of country passport for their identification). The property was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty standard hotel fare but it was hot and the dining area was clean and welcoming.

Myself and my DON, at times, stay one to two days a week in Winston Salem, NC and we always stay at the Best Western. Great prices and staff. The rooms are great and the beds and pillows are so comfortable.

Had to put up with a lot of noise from other guests. The room itself was clean enough, but could use some repairs. TV remote was a dud and tub didn't drain. Water spots on bathroom ceiling and the bathroom could really use some fresh caulk. Also, if you want drinks or snacks you have to buy them at the front desk which means if there are 5 people ahead of you to check in you're standing there for a while. If you're a light sleeper and noisy neighbors get on your nerves I would pick another hotel or bring earplugs. I wish I'd spent a few more bucks and stayed somewhere nicer.

This was a very clean place. Great customer service. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great. Coffee could use a bit more flavor. Just too weak, but that's just my opinion. But everything else was very nice. Price was great. I really like the Best Western Hotels and this one was a very nice place to stay. We will book at this place again when we return to the Winston- Salem area.

This hotel is across the street from one of the hospitals. They were grossly overpriced when we stayed on recent Saturday night. Staff relates they have been at this location for 4-5 years and the parking lot is not finished and part of it is still a field. Cleanliness and staff is well up to par. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom in the "King suite" is made for the little people. The sink counter is approx. 8 inches on each side of the sink and that is it, the toilet is back in a dark corner and the tub is supposed to be "whirlpool" has a protrusion in the middle of the tub which causes a slope on the floor of the tub. This is very hazardous and you need to be extremely careful when taking a shower. Will not be back and they will not be giving in them any more of my money. Have stayed at nicer hotels for half the price they charged.

This hotel was right off from freeway and only a few minutes to shopping mall and other stores. Very convenient. Rooms were spacious and clean. The only request would be a little higher temperature for the shower. They offered snack/drinks for guests for free. Free shuttle to High Point market, too.

We have stayed in a number of Best Westerns over the years, but not for some time. Whilst this hotel was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay, it was in my opinion overpriced. The self service laundry had only one washer, and the drier was out of order which was annoying, the breakfast buffet was pretty average, and whilst our room was big enough and reasonably comfortable,it felt a little dated and in need of some brightening up.

Customer service is phenomenal!!! I have spoken to Kayla numerous times over the phone and I have even seen her interact with the customers while having breakfast and she is always so courteous and professional. Justin has been my check-in person each time I have stayed and he has been a pleasure as well....I also spoke with another gentleman on the phone while making reservations but unfortnately I didn't get his name but he was wonderful as well....he was helpful with a request I had for a 1st floor room and I felt as though he was eager to meet my needs with no hesitations. During one of our stays there was an incident where my elderly Mother spilled her breakfast tray before getting to the table. The lady who was taking care of the breakfast area was very attentive and helped right away and was extremely nice and put Mother at ease and told her no worries about the spilled tray... Each employee was always ready and willing to help. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this staff is by far the BEST I have ever seen. I will definitely stay here each time I am.in the area. LOCATION was great and near the hospitals. Wake Forest Baptist Hospital was within a few minutes drive, many restaurants were very close.ROOM was very clean and the beds very comfortable...

A Best Western gem with speedy checkin, redecorated rooms, and all features working well. Add convenient location and reasonable rates for such a quality hotel, it creates a nice experience for comfort while transacting business. Or leisure too, I am sure.

I have stayed here three times, while visiting my child at Wake Forest. This is going to be my go-to hotel for the duration. It is convenient to I-40 and fairly close to campus. It is not fancy, but it is comfortable and reasonably-priced. The desk staff hes been outstanding every time.

The hotel was relatively clean, nicely decorated. Breakfast was basic but had a variety of good items and certainly served our needs. The area was kept stocked and clean by Phyllis who was very friendly and efficient. The bed was ok, not overly great. Bathroom is small but clean. Overall, I was pleased with our stay; affordable and reasonable.

This place is a dump.The airconditioner was noisy all night, preventing a sound sleep.The matress and pillows were a awful and cheep/The walls were paper thin and I was awaken at night by hall wall noice

Hotel well suited in a very accessible part of the city. shopping mall directly behind motel. Several good places to eat near by. I have stayed in this motel several times. Generally leave with the satisfaction of being in a comfortable and safe place to stay.

Our stay at the Hanes Mall BW was peaceful and relaxing. The people were pleasant and helpful. The breakfst was healthy and had a variety of choices every morning. I would definitely stay there again.

This was a disappointing hotel choice. Our room was next to the elevator, clanging and banging. The carpet was tattered and shredded. The bathroom was so small I could touch both walls at once. The spray foam around the sink plumbing topped it off. While the employees were courteous, we will find other accommodations.

The staff was pleasant and helpful. They greeted me by name as I came in from class each evening. I e-mailed them that I had to extend my stay after arriving and they had my paperwork already for me when I came in that afternoon. The internet was down during part of my stay, but the staff notified me as soon as it came up with my access codes. It's difficult to be the "middle man" when having to notify guests there is an issue. Justin, front desk concierge, was most gracious even though I'm sure not everyone accepted the news graciously. I understand that the staff had no control.

Excellent peaceful stay at best western. There were many people that you would see checking in but it was quiet as a mouse after that. Able to get work done and get some sleep. I enjoyed the fact that the mall is right next door and many good food places in walking distance if you wanted to walk.

Having stayed in a couple of Best Westerns on this road trip and been somewhat disappointed we weren't holding out much hope for this one. We arrived two hours early but thought we would just ask if our room was ready. The receptionist Kayla greeted us warmly and checked with maid service. She kindly explained that it wasn't ready yet but would be in twenty minutes if we would care to wait in the reception/business area and help ourselves to coffee. True to her word the room was ready as soon as we finished our coffees. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean. Short stroll to Hanes Mall with a great selection of shops and several restaurants. Pool area was small but plenty of sunbeds and towels and very clean. Breakfast at this hotel was excellent with a choice of both hot and cold fare which were regularly topped up by the staff. Great location short drive to Old Salem which is worth a visit. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

u can find cleaner and better places. not a very safe feeling place. People milling around outside in parking lot, etc. Pass on by and try elsewhere. Try La Quinta on Frontis. La Quinta on Frontis is pet friendly and very clean.

This hotel offers great customer service. The night clerk that checked us in, I believe his name was Justin, was awesome. The hotel is in need of renovation. The carpets and bathrooms are dated and the carpet was stained in places. Also, they need a larger Breakfast area. There was a huge line the entire few hours for breakfast and not enough seats for people to set in.

Very comfortable and enjoyable hotel. Having stayed at an unpleasant hotel the night before, this hotel was a breath of fresh air. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this hotel if in the area.

My family and I stayed here overnight. We arrived just as a bus tour had arrived. Only one staff member checking guest in. Within two minutes there were three staff members checking guest in. Great service all during our stay.

We loved our stay here. The hotel was neat and clean, and breakfast was good. Be warned, there isn't a lot of space for parking and the walls are a little thin. But even with these hiccups, I ABSOLUTELY loved my stay and would come here again.

Friends and I attended a convention in downtown Winston Salem but the host hotels were booked by the time we wanted to make a reservation and very expensive. The Best Western was easy to get to and was about 1/3 the price of the expensive hotels. The breakfast variety was good and plentiful. The hotel was very close to the Mall for our dinners.

Me and my husband checked in on business. The carpet was digusting, the shampoo bottles were used and put back in place, the hotel had a bad smell to it. The parking was horrible and had to park in the gravel. At check-in I was not given the same price as over the phone. The clerk that helped me at check-in was very helpful. When i went to take a shower the water was brown and I barely took a decent shower. I will not be returning to this hotel. I had to brush my teeth with Bottle water..smh

Checked in late & my rates were not what I booked the room for. The night clerk could not help me & manager did nothing to resolve the next day. There were loud neighbors that partied until 3:00 am and management did nothing about them. I was supposed to stay for five nights, but left after two.

Room was clean, modern very comfortable. We had a king bed with a recliner and a bench. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom was nice, clean, lots of towels. The complementary breakfast was great! Sausage, eggs, biscuits, hash browns yogurt waffles pastries muffins toast juices coffee. Just excellent! Highly recommend this hotel.

Booked this property on-line and pre-paid. On arrival, I had some real questions based on the outside appearance (water damage with water still running down the wall). Lobby area was dark in the middle of the afternoon...almost a cave like feeling. Could have been a bad day on my part or theirs and to be fair, we did not stay so can't comment on the rest of the facilities. Front desk service was professional and polite. I could be wrong, but first impressions are truly critical when traveling.

Chantel is the best Desk person I've met in a long time. She welcomes you with a big smile and always ask if you need anything. Also has a great laugh. Pretty much the reason I give this Hotel a 5 star rating.

I was looking for a reasonable hotel for the couple nights I was going to be in the area and I found it here. Not only was the price right, but so was everything else. The room is not large, but it was good for my daughter and I. The room was clean which is very important. The breakfast was hot and well stocked even at the late hour of the morning when we went Saturday. It was on Sunday as well, but my daughter and I unfortunately didn't like what they had. Convenient to lots of restaurants and stores as it is right next to a mall. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Stayed with the family in June and this place was fantastic! Smoke free facility was clean and well kept. We will definitely stay again. Breakfast was outstanding as well! The only thing I didn't get to try was the fitness center. Maybe next time.

great motel, room ..... we will stay there again when we are in the area, It was quiet, extremely clean, and the breakfast was very good. (Plenty of selections, everything hot and lots to choose from. We will be coming back through winston salem this coming this week and will be stopping in..

The room was clean and relatively quiet, the bed was comfortable, it was in a decent part of town, and the price was right (free night with Best Western Rewards). All in all, a worthwhile place for a night's stay.

What struck me most was how pristine this hotel looked. The place was busy; the front desk staff was efficient. The room had a bit of a smell (like hair perm) when we first walked in that must have been from the type of cleaners used, but it wasn't bad. The room was also extremely efficient. The beds were comfortable. The toilet must have been one of those water saver types because it had a funny flush. The mini fridge and microwave were really nice. The A/C worked well. Our children enjoyed the pool. Just an FYI: the pool closes at nine (made for disappointed children one night). The location was really nice. Close to shopping, eating, and even the hospital. Seemed fairly quiet and private as well. The continental breakfast was very good. Lots of choices, everything fresh. The breakfast staff was helpful and friendly. The price was really good. We will definitely stay here again.

This is a great hotel...The free breakfast is delicious and good variety of food and pastries..Clean and comfortable , Reasonably priced...Staff is so courteous and friendly ..Didn't go the pool but its there and they have a laundry room for guest

Room was nice and clean. Had a jet tub which was another plus. We stayed the weekend and Saturday night around 2am there was an argument in the hallway. The breakfast was good except there was a shortage of food. They let the housekeepers daughter fill plates full of food and take them out of breakfast area. She took plates full of eggs, sausages, hash browns, yogurt and etc. so there was a shortage for the guest. The kitchen also started taking the breakfast up before 10am and people were still eating. That was rather rude. The weekend front desk clerk ( Phyllis ) was not very friendly. She had an attitude Saturday and Sunday when asked a question like we were bothering her and I believe that is part of her job.

I stay at Best Western Plus Hanes Mall Hotel and it was a wonderful stay. The staff were very nice, and attentive. The hotel is walking distance to the mall, great location and the room was nice and clean, plus a hot breakfast.

Hotel was very clean. Modern décor. Good selection for breakfast. Friendly Staff. The mattress was a little firmer than I usually enjoy so it made for a little difficulty falling asleep. However, that was just my experience others will appreciate the new and clean mattresses as I did instead of them being older, very used, and worn out. Overall this was a great stay and I would stay again.

The front desk clerk that was there on all 3 evening we stayed named Justin was amazing. He really is a great person to interact with. We were there because we have family in the hospital and he made us laugh every time we saw him, in one of our worst moments he was like a light in the dark.

I really enjoyed the Best Western Plus. The rooms were a great value for a hotel stay. My children loved the breakfast every morning. The staff were all very kind and the rates for the meeting space was excellent!

This is the second time we stayed here. We love the man that signed us in . He is very helpful and efficient. We love that he is so well dressed in a suit. You don't see that very often. The rooms are very clean , the staff is great and the breakfast is delicious. We will be back next year when we visit family.

Excellent hotel. Check in was a breeze, I believe Justin was the man working at he counter. He was extremely polite and welcoming. This hotel is clean, new, and modern. They also offered free breakfast which included waffles, bagels, eggs, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, cereals, etc. The dining area was also very clean. The price for this hotel was excellent. I would definitely recommend staying here. It is right beside the mall.

The room was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. Staff members were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. I enjoyed the hot food; especially the waffles. The juice was much better than some hotels. I liked being near a shopping mall and great restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.

I was very pleased with the room/price; and, extremely pleased with the staff! The staff was very helpful to me and my requests for directions to my final destination as well as a medical need for the closest pharmacy. However, because I awaken later than I expected, I was suprised that the food offerings had been removed before I arrived 10-15 minutes before closeout. I left somewhat hungry for a long day! My fault! LOL!!

The check in was speedy, the rooms was clean and comfortable, wonderful hot breakfast. The staff were all very polite and professional. Lots of parking and strong internet service. Solid choice for the next visit!

Stayed here one night when in town for a training. Hotel has recently been updated nicely but room was a bit musty when I came in and some wear and tear visible in room (shower curtain rod ripped off wall and barely hanging on, damage to floor tiles, fridge dented and very loud at night, etc.) Checkin was simple. Front desk clerk was proficient in his job. The road I came in on was extremely busy in the late afternoon and was worried about getting back out-but fortunately, there is a back entrance to the hotel which exits right beside the mall where there are many restaurants. Very convenient. Next time in the area, I would stay here again.

This hotel is very clean and modern, with a friendly staff. I think it is a fabulous deal for what you pay. The hotel is situated adjacent to Hanes Mall. If you are in town for business, the BWP is a great choice. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable, although the smallish bed pillows puzzle me. It has free lot parking, which I prefer to trying to maneuver a garage. The free breakfast was good, with plenty of options.

Rooms are recently remodeled and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Flat Screens in each room along with desks for working. Gym is small but sufficient and never busy. Breakfast is a lot of food. The staff is always helpful and the area is close to the mall and great restaurants.

The overall stay was great. Clean rooms and lobby. Full customer service and breakfast. I had came with my girlfriend and she was satisfied which in turn made my day. I never go wrong with Best Western.

We stayed here while passing through for vacation. You get what you pay for. For $70 it was a good hotel to stay at but the breakfast was cold and the rooms were small for a family. Again, good hotel to stay in in a pintch or for one night.

I remember when this hotel was another brand, was a halfway house of sorts and now is Best Western It is not a bad hotel, we received a handicap room, which we did not ask for, the shower was not convenient for a non handicapped person and the room layout was very poor. Never had breakfast as they were hosting two bus loads of high school kids. Therefore Wifi was over burdened, we were not told about the handicap room and sadly the lady at the front desk was not very friendly.

I'm not sure about all the 5 star reviews. This place is OK at best. Yes, you can see it's been recently renovated, but don't let that fool you. Our room was painted, but over cracks and patches. The cracks in our room we're already beginning to show through the new paint. The room just felt, old. The floor had some nasty stains on it. The shower had some brown stain spots the my kid thought was diarrhea. They were permanent, so nothing we could do. The towels we're sandpaper. The pillows are half sized. The positive we're great staff. Front desk guy was friendly. The breakfast was typical, but fresh and good. The worst was the cigarette smoke. When we first entered, right above the main door on the second floor, a woman had the window open and was hanging out smoking. She was shut down fast. However, our floor smelled like cigarette smoke and cleaning supplies. Anyhow, like I said, it was adequate at best.

My husband and I both are in “Shock” at how nice a hotel this is. Especially for the Price! From the very start of pulling up, the hotel looked exclusive. We thought surely there must be something majorly wrong inside, but see the pictures, how nice! The breakfast looked good. We didn't eat here, due to a local breakfast place we love! WE WILL DEFINITELY USE THIS HOTEL EVERY TIME WE VISIT WINSTON-SALEM! Highly recommend!

Found on hotelcoupons.com. Excellent room, everything appeared to be new or recently updated. Some parking was in a gravel covered lot but we survived. Very nice breakfast. My husband got bacon but I was late and only sausage left. I'd rate as a very nice place with no problems.

Husband, twin 4yr olds and I enjoyed ourselves here! Beds are so comfortable, breakfast is nice, water pressure in rooms is great, litterally across the street from hospital and the little noise if any will not effect your sleep. Left some brand new shoes behind and when we realized called up and house keeping had already turned it in up front so thankful for being able to trust the house keepers.

Overall I liked this hotel. The staff was friendly, my room was clean, the free breakfast is okay and the location is convenient to I-40 and several chain restaurants. However, I was disappointed with the room layout. The toilet and shower are across the entrance hallway from the vanity, and the vanity has limited space. Also, the closet is just inside the front door on the side where the door swings open. Awkward to use. (I attached a photo.) My next issue, and it is one that can be easily solved, is that there is a nice chair in the far (dark) corner of the room. It would be nice to sit and read in this chair but there is no reading lamp nearby. There is an outlet by the chair so this is not the problem. Come on; spend a few bucks for a reading light. This was my first stay at this hotel and I was pretty disappointed overall. I got a great value as the staff members were nice, but there was constantly noise. I had to abandon my upgraded room because the people next to me were too loud and got into a confrontation with me and I just didn't want to deal with it. And the hotel was also understaffed every time I went down stairs. How do you only have one desk clerk on a Friday night or a Saturday morning? That is completely unacceptable. This was a busy hotel that really could've used two agents at the front desk during these times. But I will say that Justin, Phyllis, and Kayla were nice to me every time I dealt with them and handled things quite well considering how busy it got and considering all three of them were alone at the busiest moments. I would give this a hotel another chance, but they need to control the noise and have extra help on duty.

The friendliness and courteous of both the evening and morning front desk staff was great. They were friendly and willingly helpful. After a 13 hour drive your hotel was a much needed place to relax in comfort. The morning continental breakfast was tasty and more than expected. It was a great ending to a long dauy of travel and a great way to start our second day of travel.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast was different each day which was nice. Room was clean. It's very convenient to any place you need to go to in Winston Salem. We will definitely stay there again.

Our stay in Winston Salem was due to our son being hospitalized for stage 4 cancer surgery.Justin checked us in and he went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. All of the staff was nice and friendly.

We stayed as we were traveling through and found the front desk person most pleasant and very helpful. Good location for traveling through. Comfortable room and good beds for good sleep. Breakfast basic at this type of place, met need to eat and go.

Excellent customer service, clean room, breakfast offered a lot of different options. Quiet night especially considering location to a hospital - never heard any sirens. Would definitely recommend whether for one night or extended stay.

This location is very convenient locally close to 40 the mall Hanes Mall is nearby lots of shops and shopping amenities nearby even if you have the need of an emergency room visit the hospital right across the street so it'll be a great location to stay at

I booked my room to be able to be across the street from the hospital where my husband was. I booked a non-refundable room three times for three nights each. As it turned out I was needed to care for my husband 24 hours a day for most of the days and did not check in until several days later and was only able to stay in the room for one night. When the owner/manager found out what was going on he immediately adjusted for the nights I was not there. This was so touching to me when I found out that I started to cry as it was Christmas eve and I could not have received a better gift.

Excellent stay due to efficient, helpful, and friendly staff; well equipped, accessible room; good, hot breakfast...but orange juice looed and tasted lie it came from a rusty can. Fortunately, cranberry juice was an option we turned to. BEST VALUE OF OUR TRIP, SO FAR.

Justin is a great asset to BW/WS. When you walk in the door he greets you with a sincere smile and even remembers our name. He is professional and treats us like VIP's. He is the main reason we go there, since their are other choices in the area. Stephanie is also in the same category as Justin both exceptional. ONE concern which has nothing to do with the above staff. Why does BW let people in the breakfast area without shoes and dressed in their sleeping apparel? NO Shoes... NO FOOD !! I understand comfort but show some respect for others, put something on your feet, we are not at the beach.. The handicapped rooms do NOT have ADA toilets.

I have been staying at the Best Western Hanes Mall several time in this past year. I'm very pleased and feel very safe there. As I am a senior with my granddaughters staying with me for our family visit. Over all I have stayed at 2 other motels in the area and Best Western is my pick and I will be staying there every time.

Enjoyed our stay. Clean and friendly place. Close to restaurants and easy access to other areas in the vicinity. We stayed three nights and did lots of day trips and were always welcomed back by the staff.

This is close to shopping, dinner, and hospital. The place is Clean and has friendly service There is a Nice breakfast waffles, bagels, eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, apples, bananas, grits. Pretty spread of food.

My daughters and I stayed after the State High School Football Championship game. We were cold and tired when we checked in. The staff was friendly and when we got to our room, it was nice and cozy. The breakfast had a large variety and was hot.

This is a very nice hotel. Very modern, it is in a great location, near restaurants and a mall. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It has a great staff. They were very helpful and friendly. Good Breakfast, as well.

Handicap room needs lower eye view, lower hanger bar and shower seat. Breakfast was good. Hard boiled eggs would be good. Checking in and out was relatively easy. The guest service agents were accomodating and the delivery restaurant was excellent. The only problem we encountered was that the water for the shower was not hot. We noticed that they had plugs for the cell pnones in the lobby and a business center. There is a fitness center we didn't use. It is next to a mall and easy access to the highways.

Newer hotel that is very busy. It was somewhat of a challenge getting a reservation here because there was only one desk clerk on when I called in the early evening and he was busy checking in guests. But I finally did catch him at a slow time. I asked for a quiet room away from the elevators and freeway. My first room was actually facing the freeway and just one down from the elevator so I asked to be moved. After that all was well. We wanted to go to a restaurant we could walk to and the clerk walked outside with us so he could point us in the right direction. Very nice! There is a small workout room that has five pieces of equipment, but they are good quality PreCor and enough that you can burn off some calories. The room was well lighted, had free wi-fi and was comfortable. This is not a quiet hotel, but if you turn the fan on the AC to high, it masks a lot of the road noise. The only downside was that they must use some sort of cleaner with a strong odor as there was a lingering smell in the room.

Made my reservation from two hours away and Justin was helpful. On arrival (late evening!) the expected king room was unavailable, but he gave me a double in its place. Not a problem for me, but guests might check if it is a regular practice. Room was good and clean, but the property shows its use (a little college-dorm feeling). The rate offered to me when I booked directly seemed fair, however, so no complaints! The breakfast was ample and varied as continental plus. The lot was overflowing when I arrived, so clearly a busy place. Slept well. Gassed up at nearby Costco and was on my way, fully satisfied!

This was our second stay at this property. This first stay was great, the second stay not so much. The hotel was filled with youth soccer teams, but virtually no supervision. Use of foul language by these kids would make a sailor blush, excessive noise throughout the stay, including being woken up by little soccer misfits early each morning. No effort by hotel staff to stop the nonsense or noise, just a shrug of the shoulders and a "sorry". We travel to this area several times a year, loved the price, location and hotel before, but we were ripped off on this stay. Will have to explore other options next time.

Nice stay, clean rooms. Need to upgrade and get some USB outlets . All motels have these built - in or in the lamps by now. It's almost 2018!!! The little check-in guy was very unfriendly. Slammed a drawer shut and snatched some papers because HE made a mistake. Then wouldn't speak anymore. Bad first impression but employees come and go so not gonna take it out on the motel. The Latino housekeeping staff was nice and even helped with directions . Maybe teach a few of them how to do check-ins.....

Good and clean. Not to far from Benton convention center. Down side lots of traffic all night and you can hear some of it. I would stay there again if I have to return. Good service from the front desk.

This hotel was average, it was clean enough, close enough to downtown, and the staff was pleasant. Nothing stands out as being great or sub par about the hotel. My room was comfortable, and everything worked even if things were on the shabby side. The hotel could use some updating and good internal and external cleaning but it wasn't bad.

Do not stay here. hotel built in the 1980's that they gave a face lift too. Terrible Odor throughout the building. Staffed reeked of Marijuana smoke. There are better places to stay nearby. I would not stay here again.

Absolutely terrific hotel and an outstanding staff. The lobby was clean and very nice. Our room was neat, clean and spotless. Breakfast was very nice and tasty. The staff were extremely friendly and very professional.

Needs some major cleaning and still needs some updating and fixing of tile floors in lobby and elevators. It is evident that they have done some renovating, but the outside of the hotel could use some cleaning and curb appeal and the inside still needs some attention to detail and deep cleaning.

I recently stayed here with 10 family members for a wedding that was taking place nearby. Overall the employees were every friendly, the breakfast good (I liked the biscuits and gravy) and it was central to everything we were doing. I ended up in a handicap-accessible room due to a mix up, so showering was very difficult since the pipe came out of the all mid-chest (my wife and I are both taller than average). Since there was no lip on the shower floor water was always going everywhere. I would stay here again, but would avoid the handicap room unless you needed it.

This Best Western has recently been renovated and is nicely accommodated. The bed was comfortable and the amenities met our needs. The staff was polite and helpful upon check-in and check-out. Great place to stay.

This is a very nice, clean, and updated Best Western Plus. It has a modern décor, with very nice (almost elegant) hallways. The room was very clean, well equipped, nice shower, nice bed, etc. Breakfast was good. There are many restaurants near the motel. Would stay here again. Enjoy.

Had a overnight stay in Winston Salem in October. 2017. It was pleasant. Good breakfast in AM. Room was clean and there were no problems. Can't ask for more. Easy to find. Free Parking, Nice front desk, too.

Clean and smart with very modern decor - all usual amenities in room. Quite a small breakfast area off the main reception with a cooked breakfast option available. For our evening meal we thought the local restaurants (behind shopping mall) would be in walking distance but in reality although they are only 'over the road', due to the highway access needs to by car.

This motel is very clean and friendly staff. Plus the do hospital rates. Had nice clean rooms and beds looked very clean, bathroom was clean. Overall it was clean. I am a germaboic and I usually take my cleaners with me. I did not have to use them. I even felt safe walking on the carpet.

The location, amenities and service was 100 percent. My entire family was pleased with this location. The helpfulness of the staff was great. People should stay here, they will not be disappointed. The breakfast was great and area was so clean. We definitely will stay here again.

This was our 2nd time staying at this facility over the past few months. Will stay again for upcoming trips. The curtain shower holder was broken, but they fixed it when we informed the staff about it. Breakfast bacon is blah, but the sausage was good.

This hotel was clean, good access off the interstate. great location to shopping and eatin It was harder to get back on the interstate. And compared to other same level hotels the breakfast looked the same but quality was a little lower. But did not go away hungry. Parking was a little sparse being that 2 hotels shared the same lot.

We arrived early to check in and was given a coupon for Texas Roadhouse and asked to come back in one hour. We wanted adjoining rooms but when I made the reservation two weeks ago I was told they could not guarantee. The rooms were next to each other but was told no adjoining rooms were available at check in. The rooms were very clean and smelled fresh and clean. Our rooms were stocked with plenty of towels and soap. The beds were very comfortable. We will stay here again if we come back to the area. The mall is right around the corner. The breakfast was super! Fresh waffles, sausage gravy, biscuit, eggs, sausage patties that were all fresh and hot! There was four cold cereals to choose from as well as juice and milk along with coffee to drink. There was bagels, muffins, and bread also available.

Have been there several times, because of its convenient location, excellent rooms and services and very good breakfast. Have never been disappointed. Have had rooms on different sides of the hotel and on different floors. All were equally good . Only noisy once, when a busload of teenagers was there.

Stayed here for one night for a concert. Hotel is not as new as it appears in photos. Check-in was quick even though they were extremely busy. Hotel staff were friendly during our entire stay. Different arrangement for bathroom. Sink outside in room. Bathroom area only held a toilet and shower and was very small. Room was clean and quiet. We did not use any facilities or eat breakfast. Parking was not right at the hotel, but back behide it, so it was a little walk up a hill. Accommodations were good for the price we paid.

I enjoyed my stay at Best Western Hanes Mall The staff, room, pool was all excellent. The breakfast was awesome with 2 picky little girls. They found great choices to eat. The motel was close to the mall and easy to get into downtown. My stay was great and I have a return stay planned with reservations.

My husband and I stayed here a few years ago to break up the long drive from Ohio to the Beach. We like that it is located just off the highway and that is reasonably priced. Because of our past experience, we stayed here again this year. Now we have twins, so having a safe and clean place to sleep is even more important to us, as well as saving money. Our room was spotless. We also enjoyed a very comfy bed and the room was nicely up to date. The free breakfast was good, which is a bonus to the one night stay rate. The bathroom is itty bitty, but for a one night stay, this was no big deal to us.

Went for two nights for a GnR concert in the area. Hotel was pretty nice, better than expected. Nice area with stuff to do, we checked out the Relonda house and the ale house, which was fun. I would recommned

The motel was clean both inside and out. The bathroom was tiny but since the sink was outside, this made it better. Bed slept great and room was nice and quiet. Parking was not the best and they are limited for parking directly next to the motel. The ice machine did not work. I had to go to another floor to get ice. Breakfast was just okay and the sitting area was a little tight. However, the price per night in comparison with other motels in the area, was excellent.

This hotel gave me everything I needed to complete the job I was in town to do. They were informative and help. The breakfast was outstanding. I will be staying at this location again and again I was very impressed with this property

I will never stay at another Best Western....I would sleep in my car before I stay at little Best Western again, I am glad you ask why I say little. The beds are not Queen size they must have invented their own size. We did not get the rooms we had requested for when we made our reservation. Try to explain to the staff that we requested a joining room and was wondering why we did not get it. So I had to hear the long story we had given multiple of joining rooms to other customer, but the other room is available if you would like to have it, no you big dummy why do I want a a joining room next to somebody I do not know. If I requested for a joining room and you say it is available then I should get one. The bath room is small. My bathroom on the cruise ship I just recently gotten off of was bigger than the hotel room. Best Western needs to be ashamed of themselves for false advertisement. Fix your elevators they are horrible. I will ensure NO government employee stay at any Best Western. If they do they are on the own.

pleasant, nice rooms. well decorated and a very good breakfast. staff was very nice and the access was very good for getting in and out and on our way. would stay here again if we were going this way.

This hotel has had surface renovations but it was like "lipstick on a pig". It was not clean, especially the elevators, the breakfast was substandard and the water pressure was next to nothing. Worst of all there were huge pipe-sizes holes under the sink which meant all of the sound, and smells from the lobby travelled directly into our room.

Great location to stay near the Hanes Mall. It is convenient to Interstate 40 and lot of places near by to choose from to have a meal. Many places to check out to shop other than the mall. The breakfast provided at the hotel was very good, only complaint we had was that bacon was not available but sausage

The check in and check out were so painless and the Employee was refreshing with her kindness and helpfulness. The hotel had a transport chair which made the already easy-access room stressless to get to for my disabled mother. The breakfast area was more clean than some restaurants I have been in and the food display was enormous and wonderful. It is close to the mall and to the hospital with easy access to and from.

This Best Western Plus hotel is nicely furnished and clean. We found it to be a very good value along our route. It was a nice halfway point in our overall trip to the Atlantic Ocean. This hotel was very quiet and was problem free.

Clean rooms, professional staff. Comfy bed. Only complaint is the tight, awkward, small parking. At a busy intersection, so watch the traffic. We stayed one night for a DCI event at Wake Forest University.

This hotel has been recently renovated and is very clean. The staff was professional and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the location is great. Breakfast left a bit to be desired but the coffee was great!

My daughter was attending conference at Wake Forest University. The staff was awesome. Only thing is the last day before checkout, when we returned at 3:00 our room had not been serviced and on The Wednesday housekeeper did not replenish towels

Stayed two nights with two kids at this hotel. It was clean, the staff helpful, and the breakfast filling! The only complaint we had was a large group of boy scouts on our floor. The staff attempted to take care of the noisy group, though it took a lot of time. Overall it was a great stay.

I was at the same floor of a group of people partying all night long. I called front desk multiple times and they couldn't keep the hotel quiet. I lost a night of sleep and don't think will ever stay at Best Western hotel again.

Best Western was fine. We were there for soccer event. Hotel was quite a distance from the fields which was very inconvenient. Breakfast was fine, replenished as needed. Staff was just so-so. You could tell the staff was just there because they had to work. Service wasn't friendly or unfriendly. Good value.

The first room they gave us was right behind the laundry room and the elevators. That was not acceptable, if either the laundry or the elevator had been used at night it would have woke us up. The second room they gave us was NOT good either! The second day we was there we discovered the toilet would not flush very good at all. It actually backed up ad when we called the office we were told the maintenance man was off until Monday, but we could come down stairs and get a plunger. So the WHOLE WEEKEND we spent plunging the toilet. When we checked out my wife spoke to Vic, the so called manager. He did adjust our bill, but not enough in my opinion. The rooms are nicely furnished, but they are all VERY SMALL.

I stayed here for the first time nearly 2.5 years ago and had a terrific experience. I stayed again July 12-14, 2017. The young man that checked us in was great. I can't remember his name, but he was a young African American man. He was polite, friendly, and professional. The room was again very clean and comfortable. The doors and walls are very thin, so if crowded you can easily hear your neighbors. If they aren't thoughtful, it can be noisy. The elevators this time around were dirty, especially the floors. The sidewalk entering the hotel was also very dirty: discarded gum, spilled drinks, cigarette buts, etc. The parking lot is oddly shaped and they suggest you park "on the gravel" if lot filled, but the "gravel" has many sharp edged large rocks in it. I worried it may damage my tires. Also, there is a dilapidated limo in the parking lot with a promotional sheet hanging on the side, held in place by some of these large rocks. This gives the hotel a run down appearance and poor first impression upon arrival. The pool is very small, but the children there seemed to enjoy it. The breakfast is fine and varied. The only fruit was cellophane wrapped apples. Overall: the staff is great, the room is comfortable and clean, the breakfast is good and varied, so it's a great value overall. If they cleaned the elevators and entrance and removed the unsightly limo, I would definitely give an enthusiastic 5 stars!

We made our reservation 2.5 hours before arriving to the hotel from a Wendy's parking lot. We were super impressed with not only the price but the quality of the hotel. Beds were great, service was professional and location was quiet. We arrived at midnight and were beat from a 10 hour travel....thank you for not only providing a very nice room but accommodating a very reasonable price for a family of four with an 11year old and a 5month old.

Was in NC for a wedding. Hotel was one of the ones selected for us to stay. Easy access, clean and comfort rooms. Staff very friendly and appears to enjoy their jobs. Breakfast was good. Would highly recommend this hotel for those visiting Winston-Salem, NC

We always enjoy our stay at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is always fresh and delicious. The rooms are clean as is the lobby area. We've stayed at many different times of the year, including Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve/Day and spring and summer too. The service is always the same excellent service.

Hotel is spotless and clean -- great rooms but the STAFF leaves a lot to be desired. I almost never put up negative reviews.. Female Front desk "supervisor" was surly and unhelpful. In the mornings at breakfast food was not refilled quickly leaving people milling around waiting. This is a big hotel and therefore breakfast should be much more organized. Ran out of coffee and juice... eggs.. a quick breakfast ended up taking 45 minutes while waiting for plates to arrive.. and when they did they were flung in place in anger. The food was good when we got it. Biscuits and gravy ... make your own waffles scrambled eggs and sausage patties...variety of fruit and yogurt. Free parking in the swimming pool in the back of the closes at 10. The pool is very small but ample. Had a nice stay. Could have been better

Common area and room looked so nice that we thought it was a new hotel. It wasn't. Just remodeled. Staff was very nice, room furnishings were very nice and place was very clean. We will be staying here from now on!

The Best Western at Hanes Falls in Winston-Salem NC is a convenient place to stay with clean rooms, comfy beds, quick and easy breakfast! Plenty of restaurants and retail stores near by... even a Mall as its neighbor!

we were warmly welcomed despite lacking reservations. Our late arrival meant the handicapped accessible lodgings were already taken. Close to medical resources we were using, small fairly comfortable space decent water pressure and comfortable furnishings. Early to breakfast is advised since they didn't replenish the scrambled eggs. Only two trolleys to service the entire hotel so bring them back to the lobby when you are through. Very pleasant staff and good value for the price. Clean and quiet.

My family as well as a friend's family stayed over night to split up an eleven hour road trip. We arrived right before midnight, had reservation and called about 4 hours away. I booked on line and ended up with 4 rooms rather than 2. The rectified the situation and did not charge any cancellation fee. We got there and staff was very friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable, little small, but otherwise great stop

The room was nice and very clean. A great experience staying there for my family. I would recommend this place to anyone. Breakfast was great. Not only danishes and doughnuts but biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon, etc. And the coffee was awesome!

The accommodations weren't perfect but nice enough and clean! Staff was beyond friendly and helpful-- they deserve recognition! Pool looked well maintained, breakfast was good. One of the nicer places we've stayed for the $!

The linen was itchy. There was some sort of flying bugs in the room and my wife caught on to rashes. Even the carpet in the room (it looked clean) but it was itchy when walking on bare foot. The swimming pool had a guest (probably not from the hotel) but was lying there. It was very discomforting to see that,

We stayed one night while traveling. The desk staff was exceptional. They were extremely professional, friendly and helpful. They had good suggestions for local dining options. Our biggest disappointment was in the cleanliness of the room. We would never have walked barefooted on the floor or carpet. The bathroom had been cleaned but in a hurried manner. Overalll we would probably stay there again hoping for a cleaner room.

Although we are Hilton Honors members, we have a few more trips planned to this area and are looking to save during our hotel stays. First time to this Best Western and based on this recent 2-night stay,will be staying here on the upcoming trips.

A very nice hotel, tastefully decorated interior, with plenty of amenities. The staff was very pleasant, and our room was clean and cheery. Overall, a great value for the money. The only real negative I found was the tiny bathroom (by hotel standards) in our room --- probably the smallest hotel bathroom I have seen in my travels. Having 2 people in the bathroom at once was crowded. And the ceiling was low, giving me (and probably other visitors who are 6 feet tall or more) a claustrophobic feeling. When opened fully, the bathroom door hit the front of the vanity. The tub also was narrow. Obviously, the size of the bathroom is where this hotel chain economized when building the rooms in this hotel.

Most aspects of the hotel were fine. I just don't sleep well on soft, springy mattresses. And although the air conditioner had a digital thermostat, I don't think the room ever reached the 70 degree setting I selected... So that didn't help my sleep quality any, either.

Everything concerning our stay was exceptional and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast Our room was clean and quiet. Very satisfied! Thank you! We will definitely come again!

My husband and I stayed here on May 23-24th. The room was a bit small but very clean. We woke up at 4am to get a head start on our drive home. However, when we tried to turn on our motorcycle, it wouldn't start. I regret not getting his name, but the young man at the front desk offered to check his car for jumper cables and he even researched local rental car and uhaul rental centers for us when the jumper cables didn't work. He went above and beyond what was expected and was extremely helpful. Best Western, whoever this young man is, keep him! I will be recommending this Best Western to anyone and everyone for years to come because of this experience. Thank you!

This was a great stay and hotel! I was here for five days and the hotel was very clean and professional. I highly recommend this for any families or business people coming through Winston. It is close to the mall and several good places to eat.

This hotel was extremely clean and the staff is friendly. The AC did not work very well and the room was slanted but overall it was great for one night. The breakfast was horrible its a good idea to hit a local restaurant and skip it.

The place was clean, next to a mall, workout had needed equipment and internet access. Good breakfast that started at 6:30am missed most of it as I needed 6am. Looked like they normally have eggs, sausage, bagels, bread, waffles, cereal, juice, coffee, bananas and apples

The hotel is tagged onto Hanes Mall so handy for local restaurants. I arrived about 9pm the reception staff were out of office. The car park was full and I had to wait 15 minutes to get checked in. Reception experience was not good. The GM was more concerned with the bad day he had. Room was ok not large but did have all amenities. Breakfast was included and was the usual buffet breakfast. It was very busy and a struggle to get a table in the small eating area. This is a real budget hotel. Food was average. I only stayed 1 night. I won't stay here again.

Mother was hospitalized at Forsythe Medical for testing for heart issues & I drove from Atlanta to be with her. Stayed overnight and was able to take her to her home the next day. My overnight stay was directly across the street from Forsythe so that was very convenient for me and I would be happy to take advantage of this again if I was there.

Breakfast was so so the gluten free option was a breakfast bar and not very tasty fruit was available The elevator s didn't work but climbing the steps wasn't a problem Clean and very friendly Parking was limited with parking on a hill with very little light let an uneasy feeling going in

The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was the best I have ever had at a hotel. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. The only down side is very thin walls. I could hear conversations in the next room. Tons of shopping and places to eat close by.

Best value I found on internet. Room was clean, staff was friendly. Exceeded my expectations. Was traveling to pick up my daughter from college and looking for affordable places to stay for the evening. Had questions about the amount I was paying and what the quality of the hotel would be. Was greatly surprised. I would stay there again. Only issue was entering and exiting location. Entrance comes up quick and was not well marked. It looks like there is continuing construction on the parking lot. That will not stop me from coming again.

My father booked a room for two nights on May 5 & 6 at this hotel through Booking.com. On Tuesday May 2nd my father called Booking.com to change our reservation on from 2 days to 1 only on Saturday, May 6th. My father received a confirmation email from Booking.com on May 2nd changing the reservation from May 5-6th to May 6th only. While we were driving in (today, May 6th) Stephanie from the hotel called and informed my father they had charged him for not cancelling the reservation within 24 hours for Friday (May 5th). We were on the patio at a restaurant and my father could not clarify how he cancelled the reservation, but affirmed he had cancelled earlier in the week. She said she would check into it from her end. We spent an hour at the restaurant and then headed for the hotel arriving between 3 & 4 pm. Justin (or a name beginning with the letters Jus) was working behind the counter, he had on a suit jacket and his name was hidden behind his jacket. When we arrived at the hotel, my dad shared his concerns about the phone call indicating that he had cancelled the Friday reservation earlier in the week. The hotel clerk was very rude, indicating "We do not deal with 3rd party reservations. You need to call your booking agent." As my dad tried to explain what happened, that he had first called the hotel to cancel and the person who answered the phone said to call the booking agent. The man began to speak over my father, in a loud, rude tone. My dad insisted he listen sharing that the manager had called him earlier and said she would look into the issue. The man said that is Stephanie and she left at 3. My dad asked him to get her on the phone, Justin then said she is off work I'm not going to give out her personal number. (My father did not ask him for her number - but asked him to call her.) My father then asked to speak to the manager. The man then said you can call the hotel number and ask to speak to Vick and I'll put you through to his office. He gave him a card with Vick's number. The clerk continued to be rude, belligerent, even indignant and did not answer or assist my father in any way. He required my father to sign a paper for the two night reservation to give him his room keys. My dad stood at the counter dialing the number with his cell phone and the clerk answered the phone as if he did not know who was calling. Then came back on the line saying Vick was not in the office. We witnessed the clerk standing visiting with women at the counter or back in the office out of sight throughout the night as we came in and out around dinner time. My father called Booking.com when we got to the room and their agent indicated an email was sent to the hotel around the same time my father received his cancellation email at 8:07 pm on May 2nd. The agent said he would call the hotel to find out what had happened. He later spoke to my father indicating the hotel clerk my father had spoken with was uncooperative and discourteous to him when he trued to inquire. This is very poor customer service and my father has favored Best Westerns throughout our trips over the years. It is very disappointing to see the staff treating paying customers in such a disrespectful and unconcerned manner. One elevator was out if service. Lobby restroom areas were not clearly marked and the non-smoking room smelled strongly of some sort of tobacco/musty fruit smell. There was patched water damage in the ceiling that was unfinished.

Shower is bad design. can barely stand flat foot it is so narrow. Tiny pillows - would rather have two big ones than 4 tiny ones. That tube pillow is cosmetic and just a waste of money. Not a single USB port in entire room. Bath light and fan outside the bathroom. Parking is a nightmare. steep hill to most parking, not well lighted, slippery when wet yet way too many handicapped spots in front unused. Do you really need 10-12 handicapped spots? and only one was used. Over educated idiots designed this place. This was our first time at this new hotel, but been visiting this hospital for 9 years with cancer battles, surgeries, etc.

We attended an accepted student orientation at Wake Forest University, so we needed good and close accommodations for one night. Because it was furniture week at High Point, a staff member called to ask if we would change our reservations from two queen beds and be upgraded without any cost to us, and minus 10%. Since it was just my daughter and I, that wasn't a problem. When we checked in, the staff was very pleasant and thanked us for making it easier for them to accommodate other guests. The room was nice, comfortable king sized bed. Although the closet door handle was jimmied, everything else in the room was clean and pleasant. The hotel was a straight shot to Wake, and having a very nice mall behind the property and chain restaurants nearby made it a great place to stay. Just note that because of medians in the four lane highway, exiting towards Wake requires first going in the opposite direction until a red light allows for a turn in the right direction. Nothing the hotel can do about this, but just FYI. Breakfast was hearty and hot.

Parking is not the greatest. Hotel was clean. 2nd floor elevator out of service. Can hear all noises from rooms on both sides. Our room key was duplicated and given to another guest. We were in bed sleeping.good thing door was locked. Front desk said that thier computer was down and tried to do best at putting people in rooms.

I was in town visiting my daughter and thought the Best Western Plus was a nice place to stay for several days. My room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fairly good. Only one elevator was working (and it was slow), and the parking wasn't ideal, it was still a pleasant, reasonably priced hotel and I would stay there again!

We stayed here last weekend for a soccer tournament. I've never stayed in a best western so I was really unsure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised! The room was nice, beds comfortable, and clean. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was included. Typical fare but a decent selection. This was a good location too with lots of places to eat close by.

I was worried about which hotel to stay at during this trip to visit UNC School of the Arts.. To our surprise we did very good .. We were around the corner from the Mall and restaurants; across the street from the hospital; gas station up the block; and only 10 minutes from the school and approximately 15 minutes from downtown. .. We enjoyed the location.

The only inconvenience was that the hotel is on a one way street which is not their fault. But well worth the extra turns to get to it. The staff was excellent, the breakfast delicious, and the rooms were very clean and welcoming. It made being away from home more of a pleasure than sacrifice.

Had to work around the one elevator and the parking being further from the door. Restaurant next to hotel was recommended by them but they close early at 9pm so don't waste your time and get your desert to go. The hotel has a lovely pool in the lobby

I enjoyed my stay very much, on this occassion. Although it was only overnight I had the privilege of being in one of the whirlpool tub king rooms and the tub size was great. Toilets are a little low to the floor!!

When my family and I arrived I must say I was quite impressed with what I saw. Most of the time I stay at the Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, or Wyndham but we stayed because of work. The rooms are really nice (furnishings etc) and the hotel appears exceptionally clean however as time passed on after checking in I started seeing ROACHES in my room!! Crawling up the wall, on the nightstand, on the telephone !! Omg I don't believe what I'm seeing!! Everything looks so nice here. I called downstairs and spoke to Frederico who did not appear surprised as his response to me was yeah we bought this property from a days inn. Unfortunately we don't have a maintenance man on duty but someone will be here tomorrow. We can have you moved to a new room tomorrow. Now I'm wondering are there roaches in that room too??!! I mean he already knows about this situation. How are they able to do business this way? Every review I have read about this hotel seemed relatively favorable for the most part with the exception of a few complaints. I mean I realize you can't satisfy everyone all of the time but this is ridiculous. I don't want these things in my clothes or my car and I certainly don't want to take them back with me when I leave. If this business clearly knows about these ROACHES then why are they not exterminating ??? I don't want these things crawling on me while my family and I are trying to sleep!!!!! Now I've just killed one on the headboard!!!! Oh and one of the elevators are still out of order. Sadly disappointed??

Great location, easy check-in, commodious room to accommodate 3 adults, complimentary breakfast better than most! Just a word of caution about booking with Tingo. If you have to change your original reservation ( in my case make it 2 nights instead of 3 ), you will be asked to cancel the whole reservation and rebook it. My VISA was credited in a timely manner. Be sure you rebook your changed reservation right away. All customer service reps were great and the best part of all- They answer the phone right away!!!

We have stayed at this Best Western on numerous occasions while receiving medical treatment at Wake Forest Medical Center. The staff has always been courteous and helpful and the reasonable nightly rate is a tremendous benefit when one is facing large medical bills. Like any business there are times when things don't always go as planned or hoped but overall you will find this a good value.

Best Western Hanes Mall is quite a surprise to arrive to if you arrive at dusk. It appears to be a spectacle with blue lights all around sitting in a fairly remote area not far from the mall. You would imagine it was a big show taking place, but it's apart of the contemporary exterior design that perfectly matches the interior. The interior is very chic and comfortable. The lobby is impressive and inviting with a chrome finish. The hallways of each floor has a new feel and the rooms are beautiful designed with subtle browns, soft greens, with long round tube-like pillows with matching decor. There is also a guest laundry room to boot. Very comfortable and well worth the rate. Breakfast is complimentary and the bacon and eggs are outstanding. ~Partee

Stayed here the weekend of November 19-20. That infamous elevator is still not working. Bugs in the bathroom and a multi-angle shower head support that wouldn't stay up. Luckily, was only there for one night. Spend a few more $$ and go elsewhere.

It was an awesome experience. We booked 13 rooms . Upon arrival our experience during check in was very smooth and easy. Service was great . Great location . Breakfast area was well stocked and clean. The rooms were very comfortable and well decorated.

Hotel is clean and nicely decorated. Staff very friendly and helpful. Elevator was out of service when I was checking in and they were able to move me to floor that I would not have to carry luggage up stairs but if had not been able to move me off 4th floor were going to carry my luggage up stairs for me. Elevator was fixed by morning.

Best Stay in Winston Salem! I had heart surgery at Wake Forest on Monday, so we arrived on Sunday and stayed through Wednesday. When I called to make reservations the lady made sure we were well taken care of with a VERY comfortable room, and a medical rate. Our stay was above and beyond and they even offered to help my husband get me to the room when I was discharged from the hospital. Breakfast was great and check out and in is a breeze. Also directly across from the mall and several restaurants! I HIGHLY recommend the Best Western Hanes Mall!!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We arrived prior to noon and requested an early check-in. Justin was unable to accomodate our request at that time because the hotel had been at full capacity the night before. He was extremely polite and asked us to call him at noon to see if he could get us in our rooms. To say the least, we really appreciated his assistance. Throughout our visit, this young man was awesome! He was extremely busy and could have easily blown us off and reminded us that check-in was at 3 pm, but he didn't. The hotel itself was also nice. It was clean and you can tell it was recently remodeled. It is beautiful from the outside with pretty blue lighting accents. The inside is modern and our room was extremely clean. My biggest complaint is the small size of the bathroom. It is fine for one person at a time but we had kids to bathe. The size was challenging. Luckily the sink is located outside of the bathroom. My only other complaint is that one of the elevators was out of order. The other elevator was extremely slow and busy. We used the stairs quite a bit despite being on the 4th floor. The location is near Hanes Mill Mall. Plenty of places to eat and relax. One more thing -- I do agree with other reviewers that stated the parking lot is small and filled up quickly at night. Overall, this was a great experience for the money! I would stay there again.

Good location, very nicehelpful staff, newly renovated hotel, clean room, comfortable bed and pillows, good breakfast, reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Relatively close to Wiston Salem main attractions,that is, if you are driving.

We found this hotel to be very busy and crowded. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice and on the "quiet side" of the hotel. The broken elevator (still broken a week later on out second stay) was frustrating. Guests and cleaning staff used the same elevator and many times it was stalled on floors making the wait to get to the room lengthy. Stair were fine for those that could take the stairs.

From outside this hotel looks very nice, but the location and the outside look is all that is going for it. Parking lot: Too small for the size of the hotel. A quarter of the parking lot is undeveloped land across the hotel. The rest has wierd turns and curbing. Lobby: despite the cheap modern decorations, it looks tired and old. Elevators: One didn't work. The other one broke on the second night. The next morning it wasn't fixed even by 11. When I asked the girl at the front desk when they are planning to fix it, she said she is on the phone with elevator people, with lots of attitude. When I asked where is the manager, I was informed that he will not be in until the afternoon. Only a bad manager stays away when the only two elevators in his hotel are out, the guests have to walk up and down five floors, and the cleaning staff are lining up in the lobby with their carts full with being able to get to the upper floors. Rooms: have new furniture, extremely bad lighting and setup, old carpets and curtains, and smallest of bathrooms. The card key was non functional after the maids cleaned the room. Staff: except for the first nights front desk clerk, the rest are sorely, unfriendly, and inefficient.

Enjoyed an upgrade for being a return customer. Jacuzzi bathtub was clean and complimented the room well. Plenty on parking for all vehicle types. Nearby restaurants and a large mall. Good place to stay for all travel.

I am a contractor that travels for work. The breakfast was fresh and of good quality. Room was clean and recently updated. Guest services handled any request with ease. I ended up leaving the night prior to my check out date and had to come back to the hotel and the guest services checked me back into my room with no questions or additional charge.

The location was good, accommodations were not terrible, but had these issues: 1) opened the lid on the A//C control unit in the room and a small roach ran across the touch panel..ewww! 2) shower drain was slow 3) room had a faint "off" smell not sure if maybe pets had been in room 4) small in room fridge had a bad smell when door was opened On the plus side: 1) room looked clean 2) breakfast was good 3) staff were friendly and courteous 4) location was good If I had to I'd stay here again, but wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

The property appears to have received a good renovation recently, except the elevators still show their age, one operated rough and one wasn't working. I'd stay again for the price. The room was comfortable and quiet, but the jetted tub wasn't inviting as it was in a tiny bathroom shower combo and the shower head didn't satisfy on any setting. The breakfast lounge and lobby are well done and food was very good. Some of the parking lot seemed a bit too far away so security was a bit of concern. My biggest complaint is getting in and out of the property was aggravating since the divided road crossovers in front have been permanently blocked so it seemed to require finding ways to turn around to get the direction you need to go into the hotel and back to the interstate. Probably would be a real pain in rush hour, but carefully planning the route or asking for the best way to get out should help.

Room was very clean and well decorated an spacious. The room was furnished very well with coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and board, and all the small items that make your stay more enjoyable. The facility is located at an excellent location very close to shopping, all types of food facilities and intertaiment.

We went for 4 days to the Hotel with the Boca United Soccer Academy U13 and U14, plus the coaches, some parents and the bus driver and everything was excellent from the breakfast to the rooms. Congratulations to all the workers of the hotel that make it happen! thank you.

We attended a co worker's wedding, and I couldn't believe how nice the hotel was. The rooms were big and clean, and I slept like a champ. There were a couple of let downs though: * The parking lot was a weird setup. We had to climb up and down a steep hill to get back and forward. * Need more ice machines on every floor. * The plumbing was a little noisy. * The breakfast on Saturday morning DIDN'T HAVE BACON!!! (But that was ok Lol) I normally am very hard to please when it comes to different smells and things like that, but my wife and I had no issues. Thanks B.W.P., we'll be back!!!

The Best Western is an OK hotel. The lobby promises more, but the rest of the experience is low-average. On my recent stay, one of the elevators was not working, the faucet in the bathroom had the drips, and the baseboards were missing a piece here and there. In addition, the door did not automatically close and one of the exterior doors did not close properly, a potential safety concern. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I liked the free newspapers in the lobby and the free breakfast. This hotel is about 4 or fewer years old and seems to need loving attention.

Very nice property and friendly staff. Excellent value for the price. I would definitely recommend this location to others and plan on staying here again on my next visit to Winston Salem. Conveniently located close to excellent restaurants.

We arrived here absolutely exhausted after a day of driving and were very pleased with our clean and comfortable room. Check in was quick and easy and the beds were very comfortable which was such a blessing since we were so tired. The price we got online was extremely reasonable, making this a very good value. Breakfast was adequate and a nice start to another day of driving. Thank you, we had a very nice stay.
