Best Western Hotel Waldo Inn & Suites, Waldo

Located close to where I was working. Room was decently clean, bed was pretty comfortable and it was nice to have a chair & footstool to sit in and watch tv or read instead of only having the bed. Water pressure in shower not great, but that's pretty standard for any hotel I've stayed in. Breakfast was decent and enjoyed access to hot coffee morning and night. Onsite laundry, which I used, was handy, although they don't keep change so you can use them. Had to go to truck stop next door for quarters.

We travel frequently in the US and Europe, this was the cleanest hotel we have stayed at in quite a long time and the rates were great! The staff from the front desk to the housekeeping were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was well attended and very fresh. We will definitely stay there again!

Given COVID, I was surprised at the lack of cleanliness in my room. Garbage from previous guest was still in the can and pet food from previous guest on the floor, which led me to believe that the room had not been vacuumed. Beyond that, the TV didn't work in our room, which my husband needs on to sleep. He notified someone at the front desk and they gave him some advice to help reset the TV, but it didn't work. Bathroom floor needed mopped, bedside tables had residue from previous guest, and the comforter on the bed was stained. I'm not sure if these issues were because we were in a pet friendly room, but pet friendly rooms should be just as clean as non-pet friendly rooms. We had been travelling for 15 hours and had already unpacked our bags once we realized all of these things, and we were just exhausted so didn't ask to move to another room. Staff was fantastic and very courteous. If only the rooms lived up to the standard of the staff!

Stopped here en route to south Florida and got the sleep we needed. Room was clean, management friendly, and buffet breakfast better than most (scrambled eggs and sausage). A bit pricey. TIP: since restaurants in Waldo are few and sketchy, suggest eating in another town before arriving, especially if you're arriving after sunset.

I stopped here to break up a long road trip. Overall I would say it is about what you would expect from a Best Western - no more and no less. The women who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. My room was as expected and I slept comfortably. The only reasons I give it 3 instead of 4 stars are because figuring out the tv was a bit tricky. I followed the directions provided on my dresser and still had some issues with it. The body wash dispenser in my shower was empty so I just used the bar soap instead. I think it is worth mentioning for families with small children that the room had a walk-in shower with no tub. I know for some adults a walk-in shower is a huge bonus but some families require a tub option. Overall my stay here was fine. I wouldn't rush back but if I needed a room I know it would suffice and the pricing was great.

Hotel did not have a spa - no towels available at pool side - and no restaurants nearby. No morning early rise take out breakfast (that we saw). Staff was seldom behind the counter but did see them in the parking lot smoking.

The room was clean and comfy. The hotel felt family oriented and peaceful. Nobody was strict and rude like other places that want to limit your fun. They are very accommodating the receptionist was so sweet and attentive. We had pretty much everything we needed.

The hotel was nice, located in a very small town. The room lacked a bit in cleanliness but it wasn't the worst I've seen. It was dog friendly and the staff was very nice. The beds and pillows were comfy. We'd stay here again.

Had no WiFi connection in the room. The rest of the stay was fantastic. Staff was great. The room was clean. There was a hot breakfast but it is still limited. What they were able to offer was good. Would have given a 5 if we had a WiFi connection in the room.

From the moment we arrived to the minute we left the staff was friendly and professional. The hotel is very clean and the room and bed were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a standard American breakfast scrambled eggs and sausage plus many cereals, yogurt, waffles and fresh fruit. The pool was immaculately clean and made our stay feel like a vacation. I could go on on and on about how great this place is but I'll just end by saying EXCELLENT

We had a great stay. The woman working the front desk at our late check in was great. Room was extremely nice and clean. Quiet nights sleep was definitely needed and delivered. I would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Check in/out staff was very friendly, fast and helpful. Unfortunately, the room was not as clean as I expect it to be. Hairs in bed and toilet. Very pricey! $200. One night stay. Gas station next door and 2 places for dining purposes. Truly meant for a quick overnight stay but again, too pricey for lack of cleanliness and area.

This hotel is either brand new or recently renovated. It's a very nice place! Very clean, friendly staff, beds are super comfy and good fair price. Huge gas station next door that sells just about everything, especially beer, seltzer's, and wine and had a Dunken Donuts inside. Would definitely stay here again!

This was a great stay for me while working in the Waldo, FL area. I enjoyed the breakfast and the hotel was quiet even though it shares a parking lot with the truck stop. If you are traveling between Ocala/Gainesville and Jacksonville, this is the place to stay.

Very friendly and professional staff. Cathy at breakfast was the best. Enjoy that their double queen suite is roomy and us two TVs. Rooms and hotel was very clean. Felt very comfortable sleeping there with my family,

This location was great! We were there for our kids to train and ride at the Waldo MX track right behind the hotel. Awesome staff and great complimentary breakfast with Cathy! We will most definitely make another trip soon.

This trip was for personal business and I was less than impressed. The room cleanliness was marginal with hair in the bathroom sink and shower. The hotel is pet friendly, which is fine, but the two little dogs across from my room barked frequently and it was very difficult to sleep. The best for last: no hot water when I was getting ready for my morning event. When inquired with the desk what the issue was with the hot water, I was advised a sensor was malfunctioning and maintenance was called. When leaving, the outdoor propane tank was being filled. Ahhh, the sensor was most likely functioning just fine. Just needed propane to heat the water. When I asked the front desk if the issue was corrected, I was advised there should be hot water within minutes and thank you for asking. Will not return to this location.

I do apologize for the issues during your stay, the hair in the sink and shower is absolutely not ok and I will be speaking to the room attendant that cleaned your room. Our pet friendly rooms are all grouped together because of the fact that some animals travel better than others, I do apologize for the issue that the dogs caused. The hot water issue was caused by a malfunctioning damper control valve. I apologize and will speak to your booking source about getting your invoice adjusted. Our last propane delivery was on 12/31/2019 @ 1:52 and we are not due for a delivery for another 9 days when the tank will usually still be at 35% capacity, I will be reviewing footage from our cameras to find out exactly what was going on because I also do not have an invoice for a delivery today. I want to thank you for bringing these things to my attention and allowing me the opportunity to address these concerns.

Hotel has been renovated and is clean. Beds are comfortable. However, on the morning of checkout, there was no hot water at 6:15am. Called the front desk and was told they were full the night before as if this was a valid reason. Waited 30 minutes prior to taking a cold shower to be told at 7:55 (at checkout, no call back while in the room) that maintenance was on the scene and hot water would be up so. Would not recommend it as hot water is expected with a $115 room

I apologize for the hot water issue and more importantly for the way it was handled by the front desk staff. The issue with the hot water was a malfunctioning damper control valve. I am sorry that the front desk agent that you spoke to gave such a generic answer and then failed to communicate further, I am actually shocked by the answer that you were given. The employee will receive reprimanding and retraining because of this. I would like to again apologize for everything.

We have stayed at Best Western before, middle of the road average hotel chain but I don't recommend this one. I see positive reviews and I can see why but here is our experience. Long day of traveling and you just want to settle in, watch a little TV and go to sleep. That's all we needed. Turned down the bed and to my surprise was stains of bodily fluids on the sheets! Not a drop or two that could possible be missed, no no big stains. How does housekeeping miss that! I don't know! Yes they did come quite quickly with fresh sheets but the image remains with me. Yes they where apologetic, but it doesn't correct someone's carelessness.

Sweet staff sweet hotel in a rural, quiet but fun place opposite a zany Flea market.Friendly staff a really good breakfast, located on the easy driving 301, not to be missed by all those interested in Antiques and collectables. Venues all around.

The bed was broken and the toilet lid seat was falling off. Room was not terribly clean. This hotel needs some help.I have reached out too the manager twice with no response. We often stay at Best Western without issue. Definitely pass on this one..

We usually stay at a Best Western on our trips to Florida and this was our first at Best Western Waldo and we were pleasantly surprised! Clean room, good breakfast and dog friendly all in one convenient spot.

If you want to stay in a nice hotel which is also reasonably priced and within a short drive to Gainesville, FL this is it! The hotel is really nice and well kept. Looks very upscale and was very clean and includes breakfast! Would stay there again.

This is one of the cleanest & well maintained motel we have stayed at recently. It has been completely remodeled & is very nice. Staff is very helpful & friendly. Would highly recommend staying at this motel if you are in this area.

Booked for two nights, by Corporate to cover an event, which only required 1 night. Notified this facility at check in, WELL prior to the 24 hour cancellation policy. Instead of adjusting the bill, they claimed a college football game turned the price of one night into two.

I am sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your stay. I will issue a refund to O'Reilly Auto Parts/Ozark Automotive in the interest of maintaining a positive business relationship. I have reviewed the modification detail on your reservation to check for any rate modifications (increasing prices after a reservation has been made is strictly against our policies and would result in disciplinary action against the employee who did so). The price was not modified by anyone and was the same as when the reservation was sent to us. I am not saying that the price was accurate or that you are wrong in any way, I am just letting you know that the pricing error was not the result of an attempt at gouging because of a simple reservation modification. I also apologize that the Front Desk Agent was not able to accurately and clearly explain the issue and make reparations right away, some of our staff is less experienced with certain issues. That does not take away from the fact that the Front Desk Agent should have called a supervisor and made sure that the issue was handled to your satisfaction. I hope that I have helped resolve the situation and that we can move forward in a positive manner. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me.

This hotel is located on a baron stretch of highway next to a truck stop. But once you walk in the doors you feel like you are staying at a high-end hotel in your favorite city. The place is well decorated, clean and has good amenities.

I had not planned ahead to stay here therefore I say we discovered this clean, roomy, quiet, confortable and friendly place to stay, plus they and a better than average breakfast avaliable for us. I would stay here again.

This BW is a very clean and nice play to stay overnight. We were on our way back to Florida after a family reunion/vacation in Myrtle Beach and were pretty tired. We didn't know how long it would take us to get to a major highway when we saw this pleasant looking Best Western. We actually passed it up and turned around to see what it looked like inside. It was small compared to the larger hotels, but it was very clean and we were able to get the type room we were looking for. The internet was free and easily accessible and they served a very nice continental breakfast. They had an outdoor pool which we did not use, but that too, was also clean. It was a perfect overnight stay.

Staff were all friendly and professional. Convenient location to Camp Blanding in Starke (only 25 minutes away). Complimentary breakfast was quite nice and coffee was good. The only negative was we found urine under the toilet seat when we checked into the room. We did let the front desk know and they were very apologetic. The rest of the room was clean and the noise level from the guests next door was not too bad.

This is best hotel accommodation in the Waldo and surrounding area. The beds are always comfy. I'm in the area twice a month and this is my home away from home. They also have the best biscuits and gravy!!

The staff at this Best Western are amazingly friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the walls seem to be paper thin with NO soundproofing (I was awakened by the clock alarm in the next room along with comments by the resident). The rooms were clean. Breakfast was good for a hotel of this caliber. I would stay here again, but would wear ear plugs.

Spotless room, nice bathroom, easy on/ off 301. Breakfast was the usual hotel fare but adequate for us. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Shower was great with instant hot water and dispensers for soap, shampoo, etc.

My sister and I stayed here last month (February 2019) and we are here now. After reading so many positive reviews about the cleanliness we were really looking forward to our stay. Our room last month wasn't “disgusting” but there were stains on the wall (like someone opened a soda and it went everywhere) and on the bed skirt. There were lots of hairs in the bathroom on the floor and the inside of the toilet hadn't been cleaned in quite awhile. The breakfast was not bad and the main areas of the hotel seem to be clean. We have not checked out the fitness room etc. though. There was no one at the desk when we checked out so we weren't even able to tell anyone about the cleanliness of our room. Fast forward to this time: For the most part the room itself seems ok but the bathroom is another story. There was hair and what we are guessing was blood on the outside of the toilet seat. The inside of the seat had definitely not been cleaned and when I went to get some body wash from the shower to clean it myself...there was just a tiny dot left. Not to mention the shower hasn't had a good scrub in awhile. It's disappointing because this could be a really nice place to stay if it were cleaned properly. My suggestion would be to bring some disinfectant wipes with you if you stay. Hopefully they actually clean the sheets!

Clean with good bed and shower. Breakfast was average, but no bananas or skim milk available. I tried to use the treadmill, but its belt was loose and dangerous to use. I informed the desk, but it was still plugged in the next morning. I informed the new person at the desk before leaving.

We were pleasantly surprised, decor, cleanliness. Over all a great hotel, we will stay there again in the future. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Free breakfast, free HBO. Hotel was renovated in 2016 still looks brand new.

The room smelled awful, like mildew and possibly a smoker had been there. Went to front desk clerk and she said she would spray Lysol and run the a/c, it was 52 degrees outside !!! The a/c stopped running so the smell would not go away. The hotel had no more than 15 guests, but she insisted she would not give us another room, regardless of odors or not. At the late time of night we had no choice, but we promised never to stay at the Waldo Best Western ever again. It was poor service and poor room conditions.

Stayed here over the thanksgiving holiday while visiting family nearby. The check in process was ok. The problem began once they assigned us the room. Once we walked in it smelled awful. An unusual musty smell. I went back to the front desk at which point the young lady brought out a spray bottle and followed us to the room. She proceeded to spray the air conditioner and corners of the room. The problem with that was the AC wasn't turning on. After messing around with the unit it finally clicked on. I asked to be switched rooms and was given some sort of explanation as to why she couldn't do it that made no sense. The hotel was NOT sold out. It was late and I was tired so I gave into staying in the room. Upon my return on day 2 I found the room the same way we left it. Housekeeping never came by to make the beds and/or refresh the towels. Once again. I reported this to the front desk and all I could get was an apology. I'm very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Between the awful smell, the ac not working properly and my room never being serviced I feel I should be given a refund simply out of courtesy for the lack of good and proper customer service. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

I have stayed at this hotel for many years. Formally Sleep INN. I have always found my room great. The bed (king) is super for good night sleep after traveling. The breakfast is super (hot) and plenty. They even have to go Breaksfast. The hotel is very clean and recently remodeled. Great place to stay for U of F football game weekends. Parking is ample (free). The staff is very professional and helpful.Pet friendly hotel (for extra fee). Non smoking hotel. Would recommend.

They don't tell you but the website listed on google brings you to a third party biller. I found this out the hard way. Traveling 491.6 miles from N.C. to Waldo.....i was weary at 9:00 pm and couldn't wait to get some sleep. I made reservations that early morning calling the 1800 number listed on the website. They took my money and confirmed that it was pet friendly and would accommodate my two small dogs under 30 lbs and my cat. I get there and after quite a wait (because the nice lady and her elderly mother in front of me also had issues with their reservation after calling the 1800# on the website), I was told that my reservation was no good. Kelly the manager asked "did you call the website number?" I said yes, she said "Im sorry but I cannot take your reservation because #1) we only have a two pet policy (animals under 30lbs) #2) we only have 4 pet rooms in the whole hotel and they are fully booked, #3) if I was willing to pay an extra $200.00 she could fit me into a non pet room on the second floor!!!! the extra $200.00 was clean up fee for pets....Look I get some people are allergic but this is ridiculous!!! You guys have my money, its 9:00 at night, I've driven almost 500 miles Im tired how can you make this right? There was nothing on Kellys end but "sorry". Additionally I called the 1800 number on their website and got Mario who basically (on speaker phone), told me it was not his problem that the hotel would not honor the reservation and that he would "try" to get a refund through his "team", to which Kelly pipped in quite angrily telling this man on the other end of the phone that she was the manager and they need to take responsibility for their error and that she was not going to tolerate being thrown under the bus. Look guys I don't care who is responsible quibble about that later....can I get room? Nope didnt happen.... only got sorry. We drove another 45 min to and hour down I 75 to exit 350....where we found the Residence INN which happily accommodated all of my 3 pets. Residence Inn employees were professional, the hotel was SPOTLESS!! Go there weary travelers....don't bother with the unprofessionalism and quibblings of Best Western Waldo Inn and Suites

My Fiancé and I stayed here overnight this past weekend and at first the place was nice but.... the day that we checked out my fiancé was in the shower and noticed that the White Wash Cloths turned yellow. I went to the front desk and the lady at the desk said that the Hot Water Heater had burst and now it was now being fixed and it takes a while for the water to come back up and yes the water would be yellow and change the color of the towels yellow but we would not be charged.... I asked her why had they not told us that the water heater was broken and not to use the water ( my fiancé took a shower in that water before he noticed the towel) and she said “I thought that everyone was contacted” and that she was sorry.... I then went to the car with some of our things and when my fiancé went to the desk to check out he asked her about the “Water” and she said that someone did let us know. He told her that no one told us, not even housekeeping who had knocked on the door earlier.. I had been back and forth in the lobby a few times gathering breakfeast and Not Once did she say anything to me or any other guests that were getting breakfeast about the “Hot Water Heater”. That was rusty Water coming out of those pipes.... I would not recommend that Best Western. Apparently, the staff didn't care that “guests” were bathing in “rusty Water”. However, I have pictures! Everything from check in to check out was great. Very clean and comfortable room, good breakfast and a great staff. The pool seemed to be clean and well maintained. They always had fresh hot coffee available in the lobby. The staff was always willing to answer questions and give directions to various places. I will not hesitate to stay there on my next trip to Florida.

I checked in late Friday night, and made reservations with room type as ("Pet friendly, king size bed, etc) emphasis on Pet friendly. I checked in with my pets and I was told, you never reserved a pet friendly room, sorry have a nice day. I argued and they ended up calling a manager who allowed us to stay with our pets, after me waiting for 30 mins for an answer. Even then, the staff acted like they were doing us a favor claiming we never reserved a pet friendly room. Saturday we stepped out for lunch and the maid vacuumed outside our door causing our dogs to bark, no biggie, but I got a call saying my dog was out of control and we had to come back, 5 mins later we came back to see maid vacuuming other side of hall so we stood outside our door quietly for 15 mins, not a peep from my dogs. I went downstairs and they lied saying our dogs have been barking for last 30 mins and we are not allowed to leave our room for any reasons as our dogs are out of control... (Small dogs too, sure they were out of control.....especially since we stayed next to our door to verify if they were barking or not). I then asked to check out immediately and not be charged for second day, and they argued, saying I prepaid and there was nothing they could do, I fought back and they "claimed" they were issuing me a refund for final day, but yet again lied, as I havent seen a refund yet. Stay far away, especially if you have pets...

Looks like its been newly remodeled, very relaxing and comfy!! Person behind the desk was very friendly. Right next to a gas station so easy to get some snacks for the hotel room. If you looking for some cocktails tho you have to drive about 12 miles.

A little pricey but clean, quiet and close to Gainesville Raceway. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very nice. Good selection from waffles to pancakes to sausage and eggs. Coffee available in the lobby 24 hours

We were happy to see the Best Western sign after a long day of travel. The check-in was cool when I asked if there was a better rate for the room. This location is higher priced than any Best Western we have ever stayed at. The mattress was awful.

Stayed there overnight because I had my dog with us. Extremely clean and well anointed. Front desk ladies were very night and a reasonable breakfast to start the next day. Not huge rooms. Very habitable. would have been better if there were two casual chairs. don't pass this one up!

I stayed here for 4 nights while in the area for business. I worked overnights and slept during the day. The good: - A very modern hotel with updated amenities. -Containers in the shower that had body soap, shampoo and conditioner readily available. -Literally right across the parking lot there is a pilot travel center with a Dunkin Donuts in it. What convenience to get the best coffee around just a 20 second walk away. -Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The bad: -Staff was ok friendly but could have been a lot friendlier. -As mentioned above I was sleeping during the day and had the Do Not Disturb sign on my door. On morning housekeeping tried to enter my room and the only thing that stopped them was that I had the locking latch engaged. When I called downstairs not even two minutes later, I was told that someone had said they were going out for a bit and wanted there room cleaned while they were gone and gave them my room number. Seems suspicious to me that not even two minutes after they tried to walk into my room that the manager already the information at hand when I called downstairs. Needless to say I wasn't pleased at having been woken up by someone trying to enter my room. The ugly: -While I admit I was sleeping during the day and didn't get to explore, there doesn't really appear to be much in Waldo. -Kids running up and down the hallway and what sounded like a fistfight going on during he day while I was trying to sleep. All in all it was a good stay and I'd stay there again if I'm ever in the area again.

Needed a pet free room due to allergies. Another BW ~ 12 miles away recommended Waldo for my needs. Room was very clean must have been renovated fairly recently. This is not a five star hotel but neither is the price. I would consider hotel upper mid range and a good value.

Excellent hotel. Breakfast well stocked with hot foods. Staff very professional and friendly. Rooms are newly upgraded with refrigerator and microwave. Exercise room also. Very clean. Parking easy and free. Good bargain if on your way to Gainesville for games. Computer in lobby with printer always available. WI FI available but in don't bring a laptop. TV flat screen and new. Hotel is spotless! Very nice staff- greet you warmly.

Excellent Best Western in Waldo - Friendly staff nice room quiet. Stayed here after UF Football game. We had stayed here when it was another chain hotel and had a much better experience this time. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and the shower was excellent. Room was nice and large and clean.

A nice clean room for a great price. The staff is excellent and makes you feel like royalty. It's next to a truck stop but you're treated like you're on 5th Avenue. It doesn't have a lot of places to eat close to it but the staff is WONDERFUL.

We almost ran out of gas and we pulled into this hotel when we seen it had power. One of the hotel staff Lee told the owner we were outside and going to sleep in their our car. We thought they had no rooms. The owner got a room ready for us and we had a very clean nice place to stay. Comfy beds, big bathroom, just all around great The power did go out later that night, but the owner and staff used the generator they had so everyone good have breakfast, coffee, tea, water and snacks. That night as well he made dinner for everyone even though there was no power. No words for how grateful my mom and I are for a safe place to stay and food to eat during the hurricane.

Great stop over from Jacksonville to Gainesville. Easy to get to the U of F games and price is better. The staff is very gracious and accommodating. Breakfast is hot and a variety of offerings. More than most hotels. Rooms are completely renovated and modern. Parking in plentiful- no charge. Computer and printer in the lobby for free and easy access. There is an exercise area and very clean pool. Small hotel with great service! Housekeeper always asks if I need anything else? Big screen TV in lobby and smaller one in breaksfast area. WIFI available at no charge. Air conditioners are great and so are black out curtains. Beds very comfortable. Linens soft. Lots of pillows in king size bed. Bathrooms spotless.

If you are faced with choosing between the Waldo best Western and the Starke best western, this one is hands-down the winner! Super clean, updated decor and friendly staff. I was extremely surprised and pleased with my stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Beautiful hotel in not so ideal location! Arrived at this hotel late and it was located next to a gas station and truck stop. The hotel was beautiful on the inside and out. The only issue I had was that the coffee was really weak and the sofa bed had no bedding in the room at check in. I called the front desk to ask for some bedding to be brought up and was told that I had to come down to pick it up myself!

Best thing about this Best Western was it had two queen beds instead of 2 doubles. When traveling with grandkids that makes a huge difference. The building was in excellent condition. The breakfast area was large enough and very clean.

Reserved an accessible room, in advance,(as I am Handicap) got to desk and Young Lady at desk was extremely disgruntled, not a happy person at all greeted us with a sour face and bad attitude! i tried to cheer her up with some light humor but was snappy responded with "we do not have a accessible room available for you" after a long day of sweating at work just wanted to take a shower, and now could not, as we were leaving desk with a normal room the manager came out and said he may have a room for us, we went to room and minuets later manager came in and moved us to what he called an accessible room, the wall over tub I could not get in and the handicap seat would not fit in shower/tub ,not sure why it was there, ?? so I still could not take a shower, very disappointed!! I will say this the Manager did try, for that I give him credit with us staying, otherwise we would have left!! and I will add the beds were the worst beds I have ever slept on, destroyed my back, not a good experience at all, will not recommend this hotel to anyone

I do apologize for the way in which you were greeted and the employee's lack of understanding that one room type is not just as good as any other. I would like for you to know that these issues are being addressed with the employee. That is not our standard for customer care. I must also apologize personally for not fully understanding your needs and making sure that they were met. The hotel unfortunately does not have a room that has two queen beds and a stand-up/wheelchair accessible shower. we have rooms with one king bed that have stand-up showers, one room with one king bed and a pull out couch with a wheelchair accessible shower and the room with two queen beds and the tub with the shower chair and extra grab bars. If I would have fully understood what you were needing I would have at the very least made one of the rooms with a stand up/wheelchair accessible up shower available to you for your bathing needs, again I do apologize. The comfort of the beds I also apologize for, I can assure you that the beds are all less than one year old and are name brand Serta mattresses. If you experience any bed discomfort at a hotel in the future, please do not hesitate to call the front desk and let them know. There are things that can be done such as adding an extra mattress pad to help with individual comfort. Guest comfort is what every hotel employee is there for. I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience.

Super nice, new hotel. Helpful staff (I left something by accident and they called me within an hour of me leaving to tell me, and held it for me for 2 days until I was going back thru to pick it up).

everything was clean helpful you can have your pet there in the room- NO SMOKING I love that. things to do close by and eating close by they ref and microwave in every room. the breakfast is great eggs waffles-

Stopped for an overnight stay here on our way to a cruise port in Tampa. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Pool was small but we were the only people using it so it was great! Nice that rooms could accommodate 5 people. Would definately recommend.

Loved the experience of my stay. The area itself is very desolated and there is nothing to do but the hotel itself was great. We enjoyed their pool and the room was very spacious. The beds were comfortable.

Clean, new, and surprisingly nice property. The staff was very pleasant and professional, and the rooms are nicely appointed. They have a great, hot breakfast in the morning with lots of choices and good coffee! Overall, a very pleasant stay. I have family nearby, so I know the area well, and I was not expecting to find something this nice. Highly recommended.

I have stayed at this hotel every three months for the past few years. Recently became a Best Western with total remodeling. Very convenient to Gainesville and Alachua. Pleasant and professional staff. Very clean. Use the business center computer all the time. Nice they have a printer also. Parking is on the premises no charge. In between Jacksonville and Gainesville. Breaksfast is very nice- hot breaksfast. Coffee available 24 hrs a day in the lobby. All rooms have refrigerator and microwave plus coffee machine. Dunkin Donuts and gas station right next door.

Clean, nicely redone hotel. Our room was fantastic. The employees were wonderful. The breakfast was far above average for this price point with hot eggs and sausage in addition to the usuals. I needed assistance at 430am with a personal issue and the employee on duty was exceptionally helpful and professional. I would definitely stay here again and we have decided that we will do so next year! If every Best Western was this good, they would be set!

Found this Motel last minute in what was the middle of we had no clue. They were redoing some of the motel. We were in a new room. VERY beautifully done. We were really impressed with the decor and the handicap accessibility. Very friendly people.

The front desk staff and kitchen staff here are great! Always helpful and kind. Unfortunately, on this trip we used the USB ports in the room to charge our devices. Within minutes my daughters IPhone was fried as well as my Apple Watch charger and her charger. We spoke to front desk and were told that there had been a problem with the USB ports, but they thought it was fixed. The onsite manager was called on the phone and he refused to speak to me. He passed the buck and said to let another manager handle. I was told she would call me. Of course she never called me. This one stay cost us an extra $800+. Very frustrating! Had they let us know there had been a problem, we would have avoided using the ports.

This BW is clean, well lit and the customer service is like no other. The staff is friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. I've stayed at many hotels in my travel and this one was for work and they were absolutely FABULOUS.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. I found out while I was there that the hotel is about 6 months old. Its located next door to the Pilot Gas Station. Dunkin Donuts is their as well. As far as food choices, you would have to drive up to Starke to get something or down to Gainesville. The staff did say that they are going to be building more food choices there in the coming months. They are also hoping to possibly get pizza places to deliver there too. Besides that, I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again!

Staff was very accommodating and friendly. I was at ease because we were able to have our pets in our room. Breakfast was served fresh every morning and very tasty. Coffee was accessible 24/7. I would recommend this location to anyone who needs to be in the Gainesville area (straight down the road 10 miles) and who loves to have their pets with them.

Contemporary and fresh renovation. We had driven from Jonesville NC and tried to stay in Starke but the BW there was full. I showed the clerk my BW card and she called ahead to Waldo to reserve a room for us When we arrived the clerk up-graded us to a suite. It was a thoughtful thing to do and we very much appreciated it. The suite had upscale finishes and appeared immaculate. Breakfast was substantial..

It's centrally located to Gainesville not much there but a very nice quiet well refurbished hotel.I drive a tractor trailer, so anytime you could spend a night in a real bed it's a blessing. The bed was pretty comfortable but the pillows not so comfortable that's my only complaint the pillows.

The room was nice enough and the bed was very comfortable. The food on the other hand was very lacking along with the WEAK orange juice. Staff did not present a professional appearance, including the owner/manager. Everyone smoked and usually standing in front of the entrance way. Not a please welcome either.

We brought our track team up for a meet at UF. We're 30 minutes from campus. The place is nice, clean and quiet. The staff was extremely helpful, especially when we needed an extra cot and some blankets at 10:00 pm. We're coming back here next year!

We stayed here as a last minute thing. The staff and place was awesome!! Rooms were very clean and the breakfast was great!! The location was perfect!! ?? When we come back we plan on staying there again!!

Everything is great. The staff is accommodating and easily available. Parking is close and gratis. Right off of main highway. Recent renovations are top notch. Bed very comfortable. Like the refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast is hot. Love the waffles. But have other breakfast foods also. Coffee in lobby 24 hrs. Coffee in your room also. Great vanity light. Very clean.

We made a reservation willed driving on the road it was late night but they had rooms available, so we reserved a room with two queen beds for $89 dollars, when we arrived around 11:30pm I realized that they were in a renovation phase, so the lady at the desk gave us a $10 dollar discount which was very nice of her. I gave this hotel a rating of average just because they are in a renovation mode, otherwise the room was very clean, with direct TV from at&t which comes with lots of HBO's and Showtime. Associates were very nice and very accommodating. A clean comfortable place to stay on a bargain budget.

It's fine for an overnight stay, but I didn't find the place very clean. There was a Roach crawling on the wall as I was about t to drift off to sleep. The bed was OK. Not a place to which I'd ever return.

We stopped here for a night on the way to Sanibel. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We didn't stay for the continental breakfast because right next door is a truck stop with a Dunkin Doughnuts. So we grabbed coffee, breakfast and fueled up on the way out. The only downside at the moment is all the remodeling going on at the hotel. Again, perfect for a one night layover.

I really enjoy staying in Waldo.The staff is very nice the hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious. They have an awesome continental breakfast. the rooms are big and up to date. It's quiet safe and comfortable. the price is great to.

We stayed there on a Saturday and noticed that there was a large area next door that looked like a fair grounds and several groups were cooking out. Later big trucks started pulling in and they held a Monster truck bog. They started about 9pm and ran up to midnight! The desk staff said they had never had one before, not so sure about that but they were apologetic but no offers to discount or rate or comp our room. The breakfast was poor, they hardly had anything when we got there around 9am. The water pressure in the room was very poor and the pool was not clean. I would not recommend you stay here.
