Best Western Marina Del Rey

We had booked a king room for 3 nights. On the morning after our 1st night a weird thing happened, I got locked in the bathroom and could not get out ! The promptly sent their maintenance guy over and he was able to dismantle the doorknob from the outside and got me out in about 20 mins. The folks that helped Katherine & then Guillermo put us into a bigger suite and comped part of our cost, so we only paid for 2 nights ! We saw them at least daily and they were always so kind to ask how everything was, that sort of thing. Overall, the place is pretty close to a 5 ***** in review stars anyways, but Guillermo and Katherine put the place well above 5 ***** as far as we are concerned. You just don't see customer service like this much any more. The beds are comfy, the shower/water pressure is great and the breakfast yummy. T Y for making our stay in Vina Del Mar very, very lovely !

We stayed one night prior to boarding a cruise. We arrived mid to late morning on New Years Day and thankfully they were able to get us into a room right away. It was maybe a 1 km or so walk to the waterfront, with many shops, restaurants, etc. both on the waterfront and along the way. Easily caught an UBER to the cruise port the next morning after checkout and I think the fare was under 5 USD. Breakfast was very nice and adequate for our needs. The room was quiet and service was good. They brought us an iron and ironing board on request. We enjoyed a nice, light dinner in the restaurant as well.

At check in, I specifically asked if the room was nice and quiet and was assured that it was,,,which was a complete fabrication (sometimes between 2:30 am and 5:00 am it was, but not really). Problem continues as the hotel was no more than 50% full and yet I was given Room 201, corner at the stoplights (3 different ones),,,so the noise was incredibly LOUD.....every 30 seconds as the cars, buses, trucks all sped away from the light. On the second morning, I was approached by the hotel general manager who inquired how my stay was-I answered "noisy and very dusty"-he inquired with concern "which room"...I said #201. The GM simply turned his head...and walked away avoiding all eye contact for the next 4 days. No attempt to recognize or offer any solution...just go away. When asked by Best Western, I gave this same review....and the hotel (guillermo zuñiga gatica/Operaciones/ Best Western Marina Del Rey) responded and basically said.....oh...come back and try again. FIND A REAL HOTEL!!! I do want to share that the restaurant staff was all very pleasant, polite and professional and any would do gusts well as the next general manager.

The place ws nice, clean and friendly. Free breakfast was good. We had dinner there one night, and our waiter disappeared for a long time before taking our order. We flagged another waiter down to get us a bottle of wine while we waited, and he ended up taking our order. Then it took a very long time to receive the order. Food was mediocre at best.

Hello, We are a couple wanted to go to Viña del mar. We made a nonrefundable reservation. When we are on the road because of COVID-19 restrictions, police turned us from the way to go back to home. We called to hotel and told our victimhood that we already made a nonrefundable reservation but because of the restrictions we can not come to there. And we already know that it is a nonrefundable reservation, but because of this unexpected affair, we kindly asked for changing the dates or take our money back. They did not help in any case even if changing the dates. At least they could change our dates, but they did not. In addition, They push us to cancel our reservation in website. we made a lot of phone call and canceling process on website for them, we have nothing in our side. At the end, They just took the money and thats all that they want. Customer satisfaction point is zero! We paid the reservation even if we told our affair because of Covid 19 restrictions. Many hotels are helping in that cases, they are helping if you have some issues caused by Covid 19 restrictions. Think before you make reservation!

Our first visit to Vina del Mar and even Chili itself ! Due to strong civil unrest in Santiago, we decided Vina del Mar, with its coastal and historical appeal, and proximity to historical Valparaiso made sense.This hotel turned out to be a great choice in location. Being on a main avenue there are a great many public transit options with a large number of bus routes stopping in front of the hotel and the light rail Valparaiso Metro Miramar Station is only a block away. We used the inexpensive, safe feeling, and simple to navigate Metro to travel repeatedly to Valparaiso. Also only a block from this hotel is a grocery store, BCI bank with ATMs, and a great, inexpensive laundry that washes and folds your clothes in the same day if you turn them in just after they open at 10am. Plus the hotel is walking distance to a few museums and the famous “flower clock.” The hotel itself is quite nice, with english speaking, very friendly staff. The hotel restaurant provides a great buffet breakfast and we found both the lunch and dinner offerings reasonably priced and quite tasty. There are also really good nearby restaurants. Our room had excellent housekeeping service and plenty of European style 220 VAC electrical outlets, plus the operable windows allowed for fresh air . We appreciated the entire hotel being nonsmoking, and the two elevators were quick and always functional. If you are headed on a cruise from the port of San Antonio, an hour and a half driving distance away, the hotel can help you arrange for that transportation. Finally, the internet service was free, fast and reliable. We had a really good seven night stay here. P.S. We really enjoyed the gourmet, multicourse New Year's Eve dinner with live music.

Enjoyed this hotel over New Years. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Centrally located just a few blocks from the Rose clock with lots of eateries and a few banks and food markets on the blocks behind the hotel. There is also a post office located in the Galleria Salmeh on Valparaiso street. Although our spacious room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the main thoroughfare, it was surprisingly quiet. Very nice breakfast with real bacon for a change and nice fruit variety. Great place to view New Years fireworks as the ocean was just 4-5 blocks away. Close enough access to beach walk. Would definitely stay here again.

I had already stayed at the Best Western in Paris and wanted to check out what it would be like in Vina DEl Mar. The expirence exceeded expestations. GErat location, large roons, super clean, perfec service.

Very nice hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was great with options for everybody. The only complaint would be the parking. Its VERY tight. Do not plan on parking a large vehicle.

Pre- arrival email enquiries were well responded & promptly too. After a very long flight into Santiago & a drive to Vina del Mar, we finally managed to find the car park entrance (hint: use the left ramp). We were concerned about carrying our baggage up stairs from the carpark to the reception area but they very thoughtfully arranged for the concierge to trolley all our bags up via the driveway - great help since there's no lift from the carpark. We were too tired to eat out so it had to be room service which turned out better than expected. Both mains were large servings by our standards - the grilled salmon was good. The kebabs were ok - meat was abit tough but we realised this is the norm in Chile. Check-in was a breeze & we were too tired to go out for dinner & got room service

It is just a few block away from Av. San Martin and the beach. Not in such a good location as other hotels like Enjoy and not with such a great view as Sheraton or Atton, buy they definitely make justice to it in the price. We got the suite and it was a very nice, big and modern room, the mattress, sheets and pillows were excellent. The breakfast options were not as good as other similar hotels. Overall, a very good experience.

After flying all night and driving 90 minutes from SCL, I arrived at 1:30pm and they checked me in right away. Spacious room, A/C and Wi-Fi both worked very well, enjoyable dinner and breakfast and every staff member I met on the property was very welcoming. Good bell service including help with my outbound taxi. What more could I ask for?

Like most hotels in popular venues, we paid two times the price it is now. Price withstanding, it's a standard BW -- clean, quiet, spacious, polite staff, free breakfast (fresh fruit, eggs, an abundance of bread/pastries, bacon, yogurt, juices, lunch meat). Our room was HUGE! Rooms had robes, standard toiletries, blowdryer, refrigerator, and lots of outlets. Staff was friendly, although, unlike other hotels in central Chile, not all the front staff spoke English (but then, I don't speak Spanish, so shame on me). About 5-6 safe blocks (10 minutes) to the beach and the Trip Advisor-reviewed best restaurants. Uber was fast/safe if you don't want to walk. FYI: New Year's Eve is awesome in Vina Del Mar and not as crowded as I thought! Well worth it!

My wife is from Viña del Mar so we used to visit friends and stay in town for the night. This is not my first time in the hotel but is by far the best one. Staring with the checkin process... was incredible quick. The staff very professional and friendly. Breakfast was excelent and this time the Hotel wasnt full so it was not crowded. The checkout took only a couple of minutes. this was a great improvement from our last stay. Location is very convenient, near main entrance routes to the city and at waking distance from the Casino and Peru avenue. I would advise to be cautious during the night. Parking is small so if you drive a huge suv will have a lot of maneuvering. I am sure we will keep visiting this hotel in the future.

It's not very close to the beach neverthelless is a good option, it has free parking, very comfortable rooms, very good breakfast, nice restaurant, wi fi works faboulous and most important the staff is absolutely helpful and friendly. I'm sure I'll be back there in my next trip to Viña

Only a handful of superchains (Best Western & Sheraton) in this area of Chile. Great property for the money. Great service, clean, and centrally located. Also, good area to run in the morning. A keeper!

Very good place for a short escape to Viña. Hotel personel is very friendly in spite of being a mid size hotel. Rooms are spacious and beds and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast is very complete and tasty. The point to improve were the checkout process... every body were checking out on Sunday at 12:00... and the lines were scary. A better payment system would help... all the credit card charges were manual.

Marina Del Rey is in the city center of Viña Del Mar. The rooms are average, and although it was warm, they shut of the air conditioning system. Staff is friendly and willing to help. The bar is in the dining room, so doesn't invite for a drink. A stay for 1 night was ok.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Marina Del Ray, Viña de Mar. The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating and friendly. Great breakfast & room service options. A central location to the beach promenade, flower clock, city centre and the Metro which was only a few stops from Bella Vista, Valparaiso. Also easy to reach Seize Norte (for nice restaurants) & Reñaca from this location. Highly recommended.

This is a really nice property, within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and close to the Metro. The staff are extremely helpful and the breakfast was nice. Great housekeeping staff, as well. I would highly recommend this property. If you get a street-facing room, you will need earplugs. Drivers here like to use their horns at all hours of the day and night.

Stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed the staff. We hired, at their suggestion, Boris to give us a guided tour around Vena Del Mar and Valparaiso as well as to take us to our hotel in Santiago. He was great, very knowledgeable about the area and its history. Evening restaurant staff very nice when we played cards in the dining room - breakfast was good also.

We stayed there on BW points while touring the area. It's located right between Vina del Mar and Valparaiso, which we liked a lot (but it depends on what you're there to see/do). It's on a main street which is busy, so I'd recommend a room away from the street. The staff is friendly and professional, and the hotel is very clean. The room wasn't huge, and the bathroom is a bit small, but totally adequate. Free guarded parking in included in the price. Breakfast, also included, is very good; lots of choices. The only negative is that if you're planning on spending your time in Valparaiso, it's a bit far from the downtown area, but really easy to visit Vina Del Mar, so that was great for us.

We stayed one night. The people are very friendly and very helpful. Paula at the front desk was especially helpful. Our room was plenty big and very clean. Breakfast was nice and again the staff there was very nice. Good little gym too. Only drawback it's a bit expensive.

We stayed for three nights, visiting friends and touring the area. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. Front desk, Paula, gave us great advice and recommendations for dining and transport. We will definitely stay here next time.

Good location. Close to subway station. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The beach is a short walk away. The rooms and service met expectations. It is getting to the point of needing an update. Breakfast was adequate. The WiFi was terrible in my room (4th floor near the end of the hall). It was excellent in the lobby so I know that it can be better in the room. Overall, I would be fine staying here again but will most likely try other options.

Basic installations and accommodations quite well accomplished for the price. Personnel and staff not always kind but mostly nice staff. The only pet friendly service that's offered is letting you enter and sleep in the room with your dog besides that you pay additional only for that. They didn't have a protocol for breakfast if you wanted to bring your pet, I had to wait ten minutes outsides in the morning (very cold) because the two men who gave me the instructions told me to enter the cafeteria outside through the street because pets weren't allowed in food areas....

My family made a reservation and wanted to cancel. There was confusion over the cancellation deadline and we requested to speak with a manager. We called on Friday for a Saturday stay. Hotel staff said we couldn't talk to anyone with authority to correct the problem until Monday since it was holiday weekend. Aside from that, the hotel staff was kind to us and the facilities are in decent shape. It's also a fifteen minute walk to the beach but close to lots of restaurants. Breakfast had a lot of options but the quality was low. If it wasn't for the cancellation experience, I would rate this 3 or 4 stars

We've stayed in Best western's all over the world and this is by far the Best! This is a large hotel but offers top quality ,personalized, friendly service that usually is only found at small Boutique hotels. Great location within walking distance to good restaurants that Paula Galomes and Gaston Silva (two friendly counter receptionists). Suggest Flores de Chile that Paula recommended for a great lunch spot on Norte 8 and San martin. Yummy local hangout and can enjoy your meal both inside or on their sidewalk café. Gaston recommended Tierra Del Fuego..a great restaurant on the water also within walking distance. They also hooked us up with Boris, an English speaking private tour guide that took us for a scenic and informative 4 hour tour of Valparaiso, Vina del Mar, Renunca and Con Con. He really knows his history and showed us many areas that we would never see on our own. All the staff were kind and helpful...always willing to take time out for a few minutes to suggest places to walk to or things to do. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious. One of the best breakfasts we experienced on our trip to Chile too. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay and on our last evening at the hotel they even sent a lovely staff lady to our room with a complimentary bottle of good Chilean red wine with a nice horsderves plate! Now how often does that happen? This Hotel is top quality and the staff really know how to please!!

Staff were very attentive and rooms were well appointed. Breakfast was a good selection. This hotel is centrally located with shops nearby and a short walk to the Casino and the water. Also plenty of good restaurants closeby. Hotel dining room is pretty good as well.

The hotel itself is nice. Rooms are a bit on the small side, but fine as long as you don't carry large quantities of luggage. The location is a bit far from the beach or restaurants, but certainly within walking distance. Probably not the best location for the tourist, but might be fine for someone doing business.

Good value for money hotel lacks pool but it safe and modern and offers good services and reliable taxis to get from vina De mar to Santiago De Chile and will even make sure you leave on time to avoid Santiago De Chiles long check ins and security lines .the food there is unfussy. Limited wi fi is maybe the only down point Has good access to main shopping streets and is a few minutes from the beaches

The hotel from the outside looks ok, but what a very pleasant surprise when we entered a clean, modern, spacious lobby! Our suite was terrific!! Very spacious and clean. More than enough room for our two teens and us. Hot extra towels and blankets with no issue. Staff spike english and all very accommodating. We arrived NYE.. BE WARNED!! All restaurants on NYE close at 6p on this evening!

We stayed 4 nights at the Best Western in Viña Del Mar. it was clean, the staff were very nice and many spoke English or were very patient with my limited Spanish. It is close to the beach, which was great when going for a walk or morning run. The breakfast was key, as true coffee is not always an easy find. The workout area exists, but is not functional. I had nice runs by the ocean. Users were great and took us to Valparaiso's shops and restaurants. Watch out exiting the shower, or bring a parachute and suction shoes; repelling might also work??

Very good location in the city. Lifts are outdated. Room was fine. Bed was comfortable. Staff are very nice. Breakfast was a normal buffet style. Place needs some work but otherwise ok. Recommended as a basic tourist or business hotel.

It's in a decent location, but has a dodgy lift and rooms can be noisy. Nice people working there, though, who were very helpful when it came to getting out to Valparaiso. The whole area seems under development, with battered pavements and quite grumpy restaurateurs, so you can't hold their shabbiness against them too much.

My husband, my 20 months old and I stayed here for 2 nights. The room was comfortable. Child friendly. Breakfast included.The location was great ( walking distance to everything, public transport Right outside the hotel) the only problem we had at that time was that they were fixing the elevator and the noise was a bit too much. Also the day we left we had to carry all our luggage down 3 floors because the lift (even the service) was not working. The staff was very friendly always willing to help.

Sad that only one lift was working: another is being rebuilt (apparently not something that will get done soon), and when I was leaving the only guests' lift was out of order and all guests and staff were sharing the staff lift. The location is really good. Worth some refurbishing to keep the place in good condition. My room was fine; double window, which blocks out all street noise. Some noise from other guests, rather late at night, but that's not something within the property's control... A bit expensive, given state of repair.

I've stayed here a few times on business and the summary is that it needs a refurb. Highlights: Excellent service e.g. I asked before check-in for laundry around 11am and everything was ready same day with no additional charge. Very efficient and accommodating staff. Lowlights: Poor quality of rooms, overall feel that the place needs an immediate overhaul. I will be headed back, though that's mainly driven by it's location for business as far as our Vina office location is concerned.

I was in Viña del Mar for a business meeting and the hotel was the closest one to the company. Very good for business trips, but also well located for quick tourism. The service was very good, but breakfast did not meet my expectation.

I stayed here for four nights and found it to be a calm refuge from the busy city. The very large and comfortable bed helped. Small fridge packed with cans and and bottles so not much room for my own stuff; a smaller than average bath in a reasonable-sized bathroom. Breakfast was included and was good - lots of fruit as well as breads and cooked food. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to a number of good restaurants and about the same to the main park. Happy to stay here again but might try somewhere nearer the main dining area. Two small lifts, one of which worked intermittently was the major irritation.

We booked a suite at this hotel and had a wonderful, well kept, clean, and cozy suite! The staff were amazing at taking care of us and our minimal Spanish was no problem at all as there were staff that spoke fluent English! We would certainly stay here again!

The Best Western was very nice. We had a two king bed room over one of the main side streets. It was a little noisy but they had double pane windows to close and the noise went away. It was fun watching people on the street from the room. We went across the street to get something to eat. We had a local beer and a mushroom empanada. It was very good. We then just walked around, found a grocery store, bought some cheese and meat for dinner and roamed. The area around the Best Western is very walk able and fun to explore.

Not quite up to Amrtican Standards, but a very nice hotel, that is conveniently located, very friendly staff, comfortable bed, breakfast included, and free WiFi. I would recommend this Best Western in Viña del Mar.

I stayed here for a couple of nights while on business and I thought the hotel itself was just ok. The rooms are a bit outdated and the service could have been friendlier. Overall this hotel lacks a standard I've seen in other hotels of a similar price range.

We had a very bad experience at this Hotel. Best Western should spend more time/money here in order to keep the status of this hotel chain - I was one day before in Santiago at their hotel and the experience was quite the opposite. The room is old, no frigobar, bathroom too small, a bathtub that would fit a one-year old baby, and no lights at room (ony small spotlights). In addition, it was USD 220/day! I would not recommend, expect for the staff that was very gentle and nice to us.

Stayed 2 nights in June 2015. The room was clean and quiet. It was a good option in downtown. The staff was friendly and always helpful. They had a great attitude and were happy to assist me with my needs. Very old fashion hotel.

Lobby, exterier, and dining area were nice but the rooms were not clean or updated and the internet is slower than dial up. Thin walls and very noisy from other rooms and the street. Other guests were in the halls yelling and screaming past midnight and when i called the front desk I was informed it was an important football game that night and people were just celebrating.

Hotel needs renovation. It was fairly clean. Beds are ok, nothing fancy but comfortable. Breakfast was good with enough selection of fruits and fresh juice. I only came here to sleep so it was OK. Location is good, about 10 minute walk to the casino and ocean front.

I probably would not come back for 3 reasons: food, internet and service which are very basic items anyone needs when traveling. First we had some bad experiences at the restaurant as they would not change/adapt anything from the menu. Once I asked for a small sandwich. The lady recommended me one that was huge. So, I had to leave half in the plate. The waiter asked me and I told him the whole story, so he said "Why did you not ask me? I would have offered you a better option". Very annoying. Second,the internet cut all the time so I could not work as expected. Third, the service was not very good. For instance, they would not replace towels in the bathroom. I was forgetting that there was NO gym (under maintenance).

Room and amenities were great, one of the nicest hotels in the Viña/Valpo area. Amazing buffet for breakfast, clean rooms, fast wifi, amenities were great. Staff and general atmosphere that you expect from a hotel, not so much. I'm currently studying abroad and my bf was visiting me. Partially due to the classist tendency of (some, some not all) Chileans and partially just a rude staff but they didn't seem to trust that we weren't trashing the room and seemed skeptical of our ability to pay for the hotel. Recommend to families, businessmen and women. Not college age travelers. You'll be a lot happier with a hostel where people are generally less hostel...

Aware with the 2 king size bed option (it became a one king size bed and 2 twins placed together). Also the view was null because it was blocked with the roof of another building. Watch has the wrong time and was impossible to change

Clean,nice big room, slightly old fashioned compared to big city hotels but friendly, and goof free internet, would definitely stay here again when in vina Breakfast is pretty good and goes till 11 30
