A pleasant and comfortable hotel. The center of the old city is located. Very close to the Arena, Bara square, and within walking distance of the interesting places of Verona. Excellent service. Rooms are not big but comfortable. There is a very convenient wireless internet service in the rooms
Great hotel, excellently located for all that Verona has to offer. Very clean and comfortable. Great value and attentive staff. Just a short walk to the arena and Pl Bra, but so quiet in the evenings. Perfect for the opera On the right side of town for the station and airport, too. Cannot fault it
A very enjoyable couple of nights spent at the Armando Hotel in Verona. Rooms were exceptionally clean, modern and with good showers. All the staff were excellent throughout our stay. Reception provided a car parking pass and clear directions to where we could park the car around the corner from the hotel. Location was pretty much as good as it gets, just 10 minutes walk from the old town and all the sights and of course the shopping areas of Verona. As a frequent business traveller, I really did find the overall experience excellent.
The hotel is conveniently located just outside the city centre. The property is in a historic building. But honestly the state of the rooms is rather shabby, a makeover and a major refurbishment would be absolutely necessary. Service not too present
We stayed for four nights to explore Verona. Excellent location. The amphitheater is literally just a few minutes walk away and access to all the other main sights and just 15 minutes walk from the central train station. Rooms are very clean and well equipped, kettle, large modern TV and great shower. Breakfast was absolutely brilliant, scrambled eggs, bacon, toaster, fresh juice, fruit cereal and more. We filled up in the mornings and didn't need to eat until the evenings. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, nice hotel.
We stayed here for one night in January 2023. The hotel is close to the city centre - just a couple of blocks away. Service was good and the room was clean and tidy, although a bit small. The breakfast buffet was standard, and they made us a very nice cappuccino. We walked back to the railway station, which took about 20 minutes.
We requested a quiet room the room was so noisy we had no choice but to check out early move to different hotel. Slamming doors, banging vacuums, housekeeping noisy..walls so thin poorly insulated made hearing other guests conversations unavoidable.
My wife and I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. When choosing a hotel, you want it to be central to all the main attractions but equally, you want the hotel to be of a decent standard. Happy to say that Best Western Delivered. A short distance from the Arena, Guiletta's House (balcony), Tomb, The fountain, Tower etc. Nicole on reception was great, as was her other female colleague (who's name escapes me right now). They provided recommendations for restaurants, hotels and were very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. Taxi from the airport is approx €30-40 depending on how any are in the taxi. We.can highly recommend using the BIT electric scooters once in central Verona. We spent €10 each for the whole weekend and still had money left on the scooter app when we left. Cheap, easy not to mention a fun way to get around the city. The "Anselmi Cafe" in Central Verona is a lovely place to eat. Fresh food, great service. Some of the others not so great. Any how, Best Western cost my wife and I €394 for 3 night included breakfast, 2 of the those days we had it trollied directly to the room for an additional €5pp. Having seen the sites of Verona, its unlikely we'd be back but 100% recommend this hotel and Verona in general.
The room was although basic but clean and comfortable. The large king sized bed was definitely a plus. Great location off a side street with an easy 5 to 10mins walk to the Arena. Parking was easy and free with a parking permit provided by the hotel. We managed to score a parking lot right in front of the hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. And as everyone else has mentioned the awesome breakfast at the amazing price of 5 euros. The hot chocolate and freshly brewed tea and coffee was already with the price. Will definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
A really nice hotel, reasonably priced & conveniently located. It's a basic hotel but with a spectacular breakfast buffet (check the special offers on the hotel website before booking the breakfast option - it was 17€ per day for the 2 of us as part of the booking but the manager's special offered it for 5€ a person if not part of the rate & my math skills has 2 x 5€ being cheaper than 17€). The rooms were very basic but clean, excellent shower, decent WiFi & spectacular breakfast. While other's commented that to hotel offered coupons to allow free on street parking, we were uncomfortable with that so we parked at the "Parcheggio Centro" lot that was ~450m walk (it was a secure lot, 1€/hr with a 10€/day max so it was 23€ four our 2+ days). If you have a short stay in Verona & want a reasonably priced centrally located hotel its defiantly my recommendation.
A beautiful hotel set in a quiet street just 5 minutes walk from the arena. The building is beautiful and old but fitted to a very high modern standard, it is spotlessly clean. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom very bright & modern with an incredible shower. one small negative if your room is at the back & have the windows open you get some noise from the kitchens of the next door restaurant. The staff are all friendly and incredibly helpful. The breakfast was incredible for the price. We would love to visit Verona again & would certainly stay here again.
A little jewel set in a very quiet side street but just a 5 minute walk from the arena. A 20minute walk to the train station. A perfect location. Staff were extremely polite and our room was spotlessly clean. The air conditioning was also very welcome after a hot day exploring. Breakfast was excellent and well worth the £5pp. We stayed for seven nights and also visited Lake Garda and Venice. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again!
We stayed at the Hotel Armando for 14 nights from the end of July. Ideally located to the south -west of the Arena (Amphitheatre) within a 10 minute walk of Piazza Bra & other places of interest in a quiet street. Our room & all the communal areas had recently been refurbished to a very high standard. There was good sized shower room with modern fttings including a hairdryer. Our bedroom was good size with a very comfortable king sized bed & adequate furnishings for our stay. The room also had a stocked mini bar & a safe which is always useful. Our room was very well serviced throughout our stay. We would highly recommend having the breakfast (5 euros pp)which had hot/cold buffet style choices.Without exception all the staff were freindly & helpful especially the reception staff who on many occasions provided us with very useful information. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would certainly reccomend this hotel to all our family & friends.
We chose the hotel because it was an easy walk to and from the Arena. We were back to the hotel in no time at all after a late night at the opera on our second night there. Our family room was spacious and reasonably comfortable, and the bathroom was also good with a strong shower. The lighting could be improved though, as it was either too bright or too dim. What we liked most was the breakfast with many choices and was a real bargain at €5. It was also easy to get to all of Verona's attractions from the hotel.
We stayed for 4 nights and couldn't fault this hotel. Very convenient for the opera and all the major points of interest. It was spotlessly clean and even had a kettle in the room. Would stay here again.
The hotel is situated a short walk from the Arena, restaurants and Verona's attractions. Modern throughout, fully air condition. The bedrooms are on the compact side but perfect for sleeping and changing in. The bathrooms have a toilet, sink, shower and bedit. Be careful of the metal trim on the bed corners, if it's come away from the wood it's very sharp, I had to pad and tape the corners up after my Mum cut her leg on it. We only used the bar once, unfortunately they had run out of most drinks leaving a choice of 1 bottle of beer or white wine! I popped to the bar next door for a bottle of Proseco (Romeo Proseco!) The breakfast is worth every penny! The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. I needed an ice pack for an achilles injury which flared up every evening after walking all day, there was no problem in providing this for me. Extra milk for Mums millions of cups of tea, no problem. No problem coming back in the early hours after the opera. I'd definitely stay.
Spotlessly clean Amazingly helpful staff with lots of helpful info re transport and city Fabulous Breakfast including excellent freshly made coffee to order. Excellent location a few minutes walk from Piazza Bra, Arena and Old Town
We had a very enjoyable four night stay here. It is located in a quiet street but within easy walking distance of the city centre. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and pleasant. The breakfast was tremendous value (5euros). The railway station is easily accessible from the nearby bus stop. Nicolo's Bar, just round the corner, open Mon-Fri till about 7.30pm is well worth a visit.
Stayed a week at the end of July, staff were great, hotel was spotless, breakfast was amazing! One way system to get to the hotel is is a little confusing if you hire a car (choose a reputable car hire company,I regretted not doing so) they do provide parking permits for the street on a first come first serve basis. Highly recommend this hotel
We stayed here for three nights. The hotel was in the perfect location to the arena, restaurants and all of the historical sites. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Bonus was the king size bed which isn't common in European hotels. We would recommend and stay again.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel provided simple but adequate facilities but the location to the Arena is excellent. A visit to the arena to hear the opera is an experience not to be missed. The whole evening was so exciting beginning with an early dinner before joining the queues for the performance. the stylish Italians attending the opera know how to dress for the occasion. If possible splash out on the good seats well worth it. It was my first experience of attending an Opera and I was delighted to find they displayed the English translation of Aida. All I can say is it was magical cant wait to visit again.
Spent 3 nights at this hotel. Very pleasant stay - loved the large spacious bedroom and bathroom. Only problem is that there is no guaranteed parking. Limited parking on the street or you have to go and find the city parking lots. It would be good if the hotel had a valet type service where an employee could drive the car to the location. They indicated that it wasn't far away, but in was pouring with rain and this made it unpleasant as the under cover/secure parking lot was 15 minutes away.
The hotel is well located near via Pallone and is well decorated and pleasant. The staff service was excellent. The room was spacious and the bathroom quite good. The only beef we had was the very hard bed. I don't normally mind hard beds but this was really like a concrete slab. Hard to fault otherwise.
We stayed for five nights in a triple room. Very clean and very well located near the attractions. The AC really worked well. Had breakfast two mornings. Many sweet things unfortunately, though very clean and fresh. Wifi didn't work so good, must be improved. Very very small bar. Not a place you want to spend hours at. Overall we were very satisfied, despite the Wifi and the bar. The beds where little too hard.
I researched a lot of of hotels before choosing this one but we're so glad we stayed here for our city break. I've always wanted to visit Verona & what a beautiful city I chose for my 50th birthday treat. Hotel reception manager & team were extremely helpful to our enquiries & rooms were clean, comfortable & warm. shower was perfect, use of teas/coffee in room & water was replaced in mini bar if used. We took advantage of breakfast each morning which really set you up for the day ahead as you couldn't fault the variety of options each day. Absolutely wonderful so definitely recommended. Thank you for such a lovely stay.We definitely will return again soon.
Just back from a very enjoyable stay at the Armando Hotel. Excellent location, quiet side stree whilst still very central. Check in was easy and fuss free. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and well equipped, the bed itself a little too hard for us (quite uncomfortable). Bright bathroom, good quality towels, excellent shower. Great value breakfast for 5 euros, continental style, plenty of everything, would well recommend. Lots of restaurants and shops close by, Leon D'Oro pizzeria is set in beautiful spacious grounds and food is excellent (3 mins walk round the corner from Hotel). I would thoroughly recommend staying at this Hotel, perfect for visiting the delights of Verona.
We had a very comfortable and spacious triple room. The hotel reception was very pleasant and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Very quiet location a short walk from Arena. We would definitely stay in this hotel again.
The Hotel Armando is perfectly placed for sightseeing the old town in Verona. A 5 minute walk from the Arena, Piazza Bra and Erbe. The staff are helpful and friendly. No traffic noise, and there is a bar a couple of roads away where you can enjoy a drink in the evening.
Sutuated in a quiet side road this hotel proved to be an excellent base for exploring Verona. The website suggests there is a garage for parking but that didn't appear to be the case. There is on-street parking all around the hotel but spaces are not alway easy to find. The hotel give you a parking permit to leave in the winscreen so we left our car parked up for 2 days without any hassles. The room was very clean, with a fresh and modern decor. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the optional 5 euro breakfast is teriffic value. There is no evening meal available but in a city like Verona the restaurant opportunities are endless! We had a problem with the sliding door in the bathroom but that was attended to very promptly. Just a word of caution, the walk in show is excellent but the floor can be very slippery so you need to be careful. Overall it was good value and has much to recommend it.
This hotel ticked all the boxes of things we want when we are looking for a base to explore a city/area 1) Clean, comfortable room with a good shower 2) Friendly staff 3) Close walking distance to the main attractions 4) Reasonable price It is also close to a bus stop on a line to the main bus station. I would recommend the varied and plentiful continental breakfast which has a wide range of cakes, cereals, fruit, cheese and cold meats. It costs an additional 5 Euros per person but it will set you up for a day's exploring.
This comfortable hotel is within walking distance to all of Verona, yet a little off the beaten path. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. Reasonably priced, with an optional breakfast for 5 euros. The bed is comfortable and accommodations are cozy. We would definitely return.
Great location, within walking distance from the main monuments of Verona. Rooms were modern and very clean and the service was fast and professional both at the reception and at the restaurant. Totally recommended!!
Great hotel. Location is very good. It was a short walk to everything. Very cLose to Roman theater and Pza Bra. Nice size room. Super clean. Comfortable bed. Good linens and towels. Great shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast.
Excellent location (very close to the arena), modern, quiet & clean. Excellent service from the team. Nothing to pay for car parking & super fast check-in. We will for sure come back very soon again..
The hotel has a perfect location in a quiet spot of the old town. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast has good selection and the espresso is very good. Good rooms with nice hard beds, but noise from the corridor is too easily heard. Overall a hotel I warmly recommend.
I loved the hotel, close to the center of town, but off the main tourist lanes. Rooms are a decent size, great shower, full air conditioning. Breakfast was very good, even though you pay 5 Euro, it is worth it. The front desk staff was very helpful with ideas for lunch and where to go. I would definitely return.
Check in and check out staff excellent however as this hotel does not have a restaurant nor a bar with any atmosphere there is no reason to stay in the hotel in the evening. If you want a clean efficient hotel near the centre of Verona I would recommend the Armando.
We came for just one night to explore Verona by foot. All service personnel was very friendly and helpful. For us an ideal location Southeast of the Arena and only a few walking minutes from the historical city center. The room was very clean and well maintained. On top a great breakfast menu with a wide variety of choices for just 5 EUR per person. No general parking available but you might be lucky to get one of the rare but free parking slots in front of the hotel.
We booked 2 rooms here for one night for family of 5. We stopped in Verona from Innsbruck before heading to Milan. What a charming hotel. It's remodeled with modern fixtures. It's clean but with minor mold in the bathroom. I just hate seeing mold in bathrooms. Otherwise , great location away from the shopping district but a short walk to it and Juliet's house .
This is a clean modern smart hotel in a great location five minutes from the Arena, just around the corner from Leon D'oro a great pizzeria and just along from a high class restaurant the Vecio Macello. However the staff are the greatest asset. My wife needed dental attention and we were advised where to go, a taxi was booked and we were even given a note in italian to describe the problem. I was helped to use the computer and nothing was too much trouble.Well done! Sorry we could not stay for the weel we booked.
In a quiet corner of the walled city. We stayed for four nights in May. Good restaurants nearby. Lovely staff. Only 5 Euro's for a delicious continental breakfast, freshly baked chocolate croissant and homemade pastries and cakes.
The room consists of an entrance with a sofa, a TV and a walk-in closet (my wife freaked out). The bedroom is separated from the entrance and has a en suite bath room. Although this is a standard room, it is equipped and spacious like a suite. Hard to believe that this was a regular 3-star bedroom.
We could not help but be impressed on first entering to discover how stunningly modern it is. Not at all typical of the Best Wests I know. Obviously a huge renovation since it is right in the middle of Verona old town, a very convenient spot for tourists. Plain but really excellent room and one of the best bathrooms with its modern rainhead shower. Unfortunately a street light was right outside our room but shutters killed most of that. An unsung benefit was the restaurants the front desk recommended to us. One right next door was merely excellent, but another about 100 metres down the road was one of the best I have been to in years of travel, absolutely stunning food and service. Unfortunately the Armando did not have the same standards with its own breakfast (stale bread, undrinkable juice and no hot meat although pastries and coffee machine was ok) However most aspects were pretty good and the old town centre with its touristy market quite walkable. No bad complaints for the three nights we were there and front desk could not be more friendly and helpful.
Pros: Location, reasonably close to train station--easy via bus Quiet Great breakfast Very clean Friendly, helpful staff (especially morning/early afternoon) Good sized room with small fridge Great bathroom Strong WiFi Cons: Hard pillows Few English language cable stations
We booked here because of the proximity to the centre of town, and we weren't disappointed. It was only a 5 minute stroll to the Arena, and a 20 minute walk back to the train station. We had a "mini" suite, so had somewhere to sit rather than on the bed. The room was quite big with a large bathroom, and everything in the room was sparkling clean. The breakfast at 5 Euros was a bargain, lots of good quality items and good coffee. This hotel is a must if you want to stay in the centre of Verona!
The staff was great, the hotel was great, everything about our stay was perfect except the base of the bed has these killer corners which kept attacking our ankles when we walked past. Thought that we'd get used to the sharp corners but we didn't. Excellent location.
Clean rooms... excellent large bathroom. Very friendly employees. Excellent location closed the Arena easy to move in the downtown city. Just park your car and walk around to see the best points of Verona.
Nice property located in a safe area. Close enough to attractions via walking, but not near many restaurants for walking at night. Friendly staff and great breakfast served daily. Spacious rooms with modern conveniences. A/C, but controlled by a central unit not by individual room preference.
Good location, clean and everything you could need in the room including a fridge with free water and wifi with good reception, lovely big fluffy towels, tea and coffee making facilities, which were replaced every day and a continental breakfast which was included in the price of our holiday, and was more than adequate with plenty of choices, including an egg boiler, cold meats and cheese, fruit, cereal, juice, bread, rolls and various cakes, something for everyone, including decaf coffee on request and gluten and dairy free options. With very pleasant, helpful staff, you couldn't ask for more. Would be happy to return.
Centrally located although a short taxi ride from the train station. After a few minutes walk you are at the Arena and amidst all the activity. Staff are very helpful and have reasonable english. Provided maps of the old city and directions to where we needed to be Our room was brilliant with all the nice touches.
We have stayed here twice in the past and we shall return. It is a small modern hotel, excellently located. Normally we chose hotels near the train station, but this, although a taxi ride away, is extremely good value and is close to all the main attractions of Verona.
Very central location. Room very clean and great size. As it's within the central location, if you are driving you must give your registration to the reception. You can't park by the hotel due to the central zone so you can park in one of the local car parks or outside of the wall of the city. We arrived on Sat evening so there was free parking after 8pm until 8am Monday morn just on the otherside of the wall. The receptionist didn't tell me the free parking was an option until I asked her which was a shame as it saved us a lot of money. Very happy with the room but at 140 euros it did seem a bit steep for a night in Italy. Location was great though so generally very happy .
This is the best location you could ask for, adjacent to the arena and the old city wall. The hotel is an old house that has been tastefully remodelled as a small hotel that only spans 3 floors. Our room was on the 2nd floor and the roof pitches at an angle that is fine if the occupants of the right hand side of the bed is only 5 feet tall The rest of the room was perfect and the low ceiling to less than half of the room's footprint is a quirk rather than a problem. My wife and I would go back tomorrow, superb staff, excellent breakfast and breakfast room. Tall folks might want to request a 1st floor room. All in all brilliant and well executed. Go, enjoy.
We stayed at this hotel one night. The bed was like sleeping on the floor, the room was bare and cold feeling, like a hospital room. The breakfast selection was scarce and not included in the room price. If you need to park near the hotel forget it. The parking situation is a nightmare. We literally had to park a 30 minute walk away from the hotel which was not feasible with luggage.
My partner and I have just returned from 4 nights in this lovely hotel. The whole place is very modern and clean with courteous staff at all times. The room was large, air conditioned (beware, It is extremely hot in the summer months, even end Aug/ beginning Sept!) and very well equipped with a huge comfortable bed. We'd asked for a quiet room on the top floor and it didn't disappoint. Very quiet with absolutely no noise at night from the street or hotel.?We could even get free wifi which you often can't get when on a top floor! The room had a fridge which was a nice surprise, and toiletries were provided as well as complimentary tea/coffee. Breakfast was superb, fresh fruit, ham, cheeses, salads and much more in buffet style. Absolutely delicious and set us up for the day. Verona is beautiful, we did day trips to Venice and Lake Garda, which are both easily accessible by train and bus relatively cheaply. A wonderful hotel in a beautiful part of Europe.
This hotel is in a very good location. We stayed for two nights including an Opera performance of Carmen (fantastic) at the Arena. Very nice, big and clean rooms and good service. Only negative, the restaurant Vecio Macello was recommended for pre-Opera. Bad recommendation
Wonderful hotel, we stayed 2 nights, great location, close to historic centre and restaurants, walking distance to major sites. Great room, very clean and comfortable, nice modern bathroom. Would stay there again.
This was a great find in Verona. Newly renovated hotel on a quiet street near the Arena. The room was modern and the bed very comfortable. The hotel is in a walking distance to all you want to see in Verona. The only problem can be parking. You have to find a spot on the street. I was lucky to find one but it was not easy. Breakfast was not included in the price so we walked a block away to a small coffee shop with amazing cappuccino and croissants. I would definitely stay here again.
Very modern room close to the Arena. Elevator available. This smoke-free room was very clean, with WiFi included. The continental breakfast is not included but you can join in the morning for a fee of 5 euro. We would certainly stay at BEST WESTERN Hotel Armando again.
Hotel Armando is super modern. Recently remodeled I assume; and is nice because from the outside is keeps it's charm. Location is excellent. You get a good night sleep because is located in a quiet street ; but you are at walking distance from juliets house , arena, and at piazza bra you can take the bus to lake Giarda and spend the day and come back for only €8.00 . The bus ride is nice and you don't have to pay the over priced tour buses. Plenty of small and not so small restaurant to eat at night. All price ranges. The staff at the hotel is not nice but is easy to get around. And you have to pay € 5.00 per person for breakfast. We had it the first morning. Then went to cafeterias.
On my trip to Italy, I went to Verona as I wanted to visit the Casa di Giulietta (who wouldn't after either reading the book or watching the movies about Romeo and Juliet right?). So looked for a hotel who wasn't very expensive but comfortable and well located so I fount this hotel. The rooms are not that big but still enough space, the bed was comfortable, bathroom was really clean and the breakfast was delicious also. The best part of this hotel is that is close to the Casa di Giulietta and also Casa di Romeo (which in real life is very close to the house of Juliet), piazzas, small coliseums, restaurants and many other attractions that Verona offers.
I had a nice time at Hotel Armando, room was clean, ample amenities including coffee/tea in the room. I only stayed for an overnight trip to Verona. It was conveniently located within walking distance to piazza bra and the arena. Overall, a good experience.
We stayed at the hotel only for one night in a road trip throughout north Italy. We chose this hotel due for two reasons: 1. Central location - 4 minutes walking to the arena 2. Free parking in the area surrounding the hotel. two of this reasons were truly amazing and saved us a bunch. in terms of parking fee or bus fare. We got into the hotel afternoon and first the receptionist gave us a parking permit to find one around the block of the hotel for free. We got lucky and found a spot in 5 min very nearby. Once we received the room we noticed their complimentary champagne & salted nuts for our honeymoon! It was a lovely surprise and gave us an indication it's going to be a great hotel. Amenities in the room were great. Bathroom filled with all relevant stuff. all clean & ready. Shower was perfect with different jets speeds. Breakfast at the morning was nice with variety options! got us right till afternoon :)
This hotel is in a great location in a quiet street only a 10 min walk to Arena. The breakfast was plentiful and good choices. The staff were friendly and accommodating for things to do in and around Verona. The room was spotless and I would highly recommend this hotel. There is a trattoria next door and a few places within a short walking distance also for meals.
We stayed here for two nights in a standard room. The hotel is centrally located, only some minutes' walk to the main sights. The room was located under the roof top, cozy, clean and nicely decorated. Be aware that due to this location parts of the ceiling are much lower than the normal body height, meaning you cannot walk upright there –both of us hit our heads either when getting up or walking near the window. Beds' matrasses were a bit too hard for us, but this might not be the case for other guests. The room's safe was out of order and the problem could unfortunately not be fixed by the staff. The hotel provided a parking lot for free what we highly appreciated. All in all, we would come back if returning to Verona.
This is a nice hotel located in the city center (touristic area). If you have a room in this hotel, you can walk to the main arena (600-700 metres). We found the breakfast nicely presented and rather fresh. It is not a 5 star hotel, remember here you getting what you pay for. The only complain I can have is the size of the shower space.
Recently moderniced this hotel offers comfortable accommodation at very nice prices. The room wasn't very large but the bathroom was. The bed was quite hard, just to my liking. A thick duvet and extra pillows were provided. Breakfast was surprisingly good and wide-ranging. The streets are narrow; the hotel is accessible by car but not by buses.
The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and breakfast was more than adequate. The room was spacious with a comfy bed and the bathroom had an excellent shower. Our room overlooked the back yard of a neighbouring restaurant and the noise was a bit of a problem up until about midnight, as we like to sleep with a window open. The hotel is situated in a quiet side street, only a short walk from the Arena and the main square.
Great Hotel! It's perfectly located to visit the historical center. Rooms are big enough and very very clean. The staff is very nice and willing to help. Breakfast is thought it's not included, has a great variety and is very tasty. I highly recommend this hotel!
Nice quiet hotel, only a short walk from the Areana, once you get your bearings, and a 20 Min walk to porta Nuova train bus terminal, though I wouldn't recommend doing that with luggage, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms and bathroom newly renovated and modern, nice breakfast room, with a good selection of the usual Italian fair. I would recommend this hotel to any one.
The Armando is in a quiet street, but within easy walking of the historic centre and with restaurants and other facilities close by. Our room was comfortable, although not over large; the bathroom modern and the breakfast above average. Altogether a good place to stay in Verona without paying the earth.
My boyfriend and I recently stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. It is literally a stones throw ( 5 min) walk from the main square! We got a bus from Verona station which took ten minutes! The bedroom was spacious with a lovely walk in shower. Breakfast every morning was our favourite! It was replenished often by the friendly staff, Very diverse and catered for all tastes. Will definitely return! Lovely stay! Quiet and central :)
Handy location. Easy walking to centre of Verona - just a few minutes. Able to walk from station - about 20 minutes. We got a taxi at night, cost about 9 euros. Hotel well maintained. Room quiet, clean and bed large, if a little solid. Breakfast plentiful and regularly replenished. Staff extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. Will definitely return!
We recently returned from a two night stay at the Hotel Armando. The hotel was easy to find and we were able to park temporarily just up the road while we collected the parking permit and dropped off our suitcases. We had asked for a quiet room and that was exactly what we were allocated - Room 203. It meant it didn't have much of a view but had quality (sort of) net curtains and black-out curtains and was a very good size. The air-conditioning was efficient too. The fittings and shower room were contemporary and in good condition. The breakfasts suited us well as we enjoy fruit, yogurt, croissants and cakes but there were lots of other choices and stocks were constantly being replenished. I would definitely stay at this hotel again should I visit Verona which was, by the way, great for a city break!
I always use the TripAdvisor to book my trips and so far I have only positive feedback! We stayed there for 5 nights and I'm so glad that I found this hotel! It's literally 5 min walk from the Arena. 2 min from a bus station. It's located in a very quiet neighborhood. For people like me, it's very important because I have trouble falling asleep and street noise would bug me a lot. I think it was recently renovated because it smells “new”. Don't get me wrong, but lots of hotels in Italy have some “dusty smell of history” and it's not for everyone. The room is very clean and I think they change bedding every day! The staff is very nice, very good English. Their breakfast is unbelievable – tons of cold cuts, cheese, pastries, yogurts, juice, milk, cereal, fruits – everything that you can think of is there. Very positive experience. Thank you hotel Armando! And thank you TripAdvisor!
Clean, quiet and nice hotel. Short distance to stadio and old citycentre. Staff was really helpfull and polite. Breakfast was delicious, specially all those fruits. Wifi worked well. Special thanks to Antonello.
We just enjoyed 3 nights at Hotel Armando. Booked the deal on Hotels.com it is a Best Western Hotel. Good location within walking distance of everything. Very happy, good bathroom excellent towels comfy bed quite location no street noise at all. Helpful friendly staff. From the train station we got a taxi about 11 euros much easier than the bus. Free wi-fi which was a bonus in Italy. Breakfast included which I thought the quality and freshness of the food to be excellent also a great choice. Highly recommended if you are staying in Verona.
A great hotel five minutes walk from the central square (Piazza Bra) of Verona. This hotel is tucked away on a quiet side street within easy walking distance of everything in the historic center of Verona. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The 'superior' rooms are great! Very comfortable with really good bathroom facilities including a great deluge shower. The room we had (203) was very quiet. Air conditioning is terrific and will actually get down to the temperatures you set it to. Parking - as in any historic European town - can be challenging, but the hotel will provide a parking pass for the surrounding streets. Breakfast I'd good - but watch out for the egg thieves!
