We reserved this room for stop away from the centrum traffic and easy parking. What did we get? Huge traffic and no parking because they were doing renovations and did not communicate this. So we had to find parking a kilometer away feeling tired and frustrated. We called the front desk and they had absolutely nothing to recommend and were really amateur. Room had one power socket near bathroom away from all the beds. Could not get cold water. Sign from the next hotel lit up the room during night. AC could barely keep up on July night. Beds were not comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast was decent, the only good thing here.
This is a decent 3-star hotel. It's very cheap, so it's great value for the money. I can't complain about anything specifically. However, the rooms could use a refresh. Overall, it's a good choice for budget-conscious travelers, and the friendly staff make the stay pleasant.
Very nice and modern hotel. Rooms are huge and extremely clean. Fluffy towels and spotless sheets are there to pamper you. Bathroom with outstanding plumbing. Breakfast is very good and varied (the member of staff who made scrambled eggs deserves a medal). If pastries like croissant and pain au chocolate are added, the TOP is reached. Parking on site available (if you arrive early). I will definitely return if in the area again.
I have arrived at midnight to the hotel and in the reception I have received information that there is no warm water. I had to stay without other places to stay. No one had informed me before arrival about the situation.
Good hotel for travelers with a car. You can park your car outside the hotel and take public transport into the city. Bus stops outside the hotel. Easy access to all sights. Good breakfast, bad coffee. In summer, you should choose rooms with air conditioning.
When I booked this hotel I thought Best Western keeps its standards everywhere in the world. Apparently, it doesn't. At least the room I had wasn't even close to those in Canada or US. Furniture needs an improvement as well as the shower. There is no enough power plugs in the room, no fridge, the iron or microwave. There is a plastic bed sheet for some reason which is really uncomfortable to sleep on. The staff is very friendly and helpful though.
Can you imagine hopping in bed to be confronted by a wet urine spot? Then unable to obtain any assistance from the front desk and experience gnats coming out of the sink. Zero communication from management. Try any other place first.
Excellent location with convenient parking. You will enjoy the air conditioning in the summer as not all hotels are equipped yet in Poland. Hotel restaurant is very good for both breakfast and dinner.
The BW Hotel Portos is such an underrated hotel that offers extremely decent value in comparison to other hotels in Warsaw. The hotel is unfortunately a bit far away from the city center but it's easy to get to anywhere with the public transit so I never felt like it was ever an issue. The rooms are a bit dated in some regards, but the overall cleanliness of the room was great during my stay. The only small nitpick I have is the lack of a small fridge/minibar.
close to everything, excellent public commute, nice clean room for super price. good restaurant at hotel Everybody was very helpful. Maid on my floor always make sure i have enough coffee , tea and water. Thanks to all staff.
Friendly staff, comfortable room, good location (two express buses to the city center). I would recommend Portos Best Western to anyone looking for great service and searching for a nice place to stay.
Hotel Portos was located not too far from the town center. The receptionist named Julie and the gentleman on the checkout day 17th January 2020 were very pleasant and helpful. The room were spacious enough but i think it needs hoovering as the desk was a bit dusty. One more thing was the light switch on a very odd location which was right on your head board that every move will turned the lights on or off even when you are asleep. Did not remember to inform the reception as i learned to sleep a bit lower on the bed to avoid touching the switches. Overall the service was good.
The room was clean but basic . It was very noisy as it was facing the busy motorway and the traffic did not stop all night I could connect to the hotel wifi in the room but the signal was nonexistent so I was unable to work ... extremely frustrating. There are no plugs by the bed side .. small detail but annoying having to get out of bed to check your phone .
Really enjoyed the hotel and don't know where some of the reviews are coming from Good hotel and has air con in rooms and staff are really friendly Garage and shop close by for drinks and snacks and a bit further out of town but well serviced with busses and about £10 in an Uber taxi to town Breakfast excellent and freshly cooked omelettes if you want Great restaurant about a five minute stroll called La Civetta and food was brilliant There are three Best Western hotels in the same grounds so ask for Portos
Good value for money at this hotel. Clean rooms and good restaurant with English speaking staff. Also, safe parking in the premises. One downside would be that the rooms are not having many amenities.
Overall good hotel with reasonable prices, however the rooms needs some refurbishment as they look a wee bit tired. Parking available on site for additional cost. Opposite hotel is a shop when you can buy food and drink .
We visited during the 100 Year Independence celebrations. It is about 20 - 25 mins by bus from the main train and bus station but this meant it was quite quiet. We arrived late but check in was quick and our room was large and comfy. tea and coffee in the room as well as two types of bottled water (each day!) the shower was very powerful and bed very comfortable. The bar was small but very reasonable for a hotel (12 ztl for a pint). we didn't have breakfast as we went siteseeing. There is a great bus service with 3 or 4 going into the town. 501, 522 etc. Smaller local buses go down the road to a couple of nice restaurants - Dom Polski and Lotos. Good Polish food here. WIfi was a bit intermittent but the hotel was fully booked.
Excellent service and quite good size rooms. Nice beds and good standard in the rooms. The bartender was genuine and had good knowledge. Placed somewhat outside of town but taxi/uber was cheap, very easy and fast.
we stayed last week as part of a larger group. staff was very friendly. Wi fi was difficult to connect with android phone, not hotel's fault, I think it is an android issue. Please note if you go in the summer months, hotel does NOT have air conditioning.
Very good hotel, excellent breakfast and friendly staff. From the airport take bus 148 to Mangalia stop, 50 minutes trip. To city centre take bus 116. Room was clean but without air-conditioning and refrigerator. Poor wifi signal
I was here in February. Great hotel, loved the rooms. Design is nice, it is very clean. I loved the bathroom and it is great that they have ''Dove'' liquid soap in it. I find that details very nice. The mirror, clothes hangers, chairs and TV in the room were great. Everything you need in one place. Bus station is right there, there are plenty of elevators.
We get nice, bigger and quiet room as we requested. Very clean room and bathroom. We recommended room 603 on sixth floor. Great and helpful staff on reception. Regards and see you next year in May. :) Konrad and Karolina
The room was clean but a little tired looking. I got the impression that no one had been in the room for a while although I could not be sure. The wall had a picture missing and a lick of paint would not go amiss.I did not eat in the restaurant but across the main road was a great little Italian and turn left out of the hotel and there is a large supermarket. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Were to stay there for a coulple of days - liked the place, restaurant, staff and service. My daughter liket the hotel and the restaurant - dinner and dessert. Will visit the hotel the next time will travel there.
The hotel is on a bus route - to airport , to old town ,Chopin Lazenki park ., moderately price , clean nice room , safe district. The staff is friendly and helpful. We booked it through Expedia -flight from Kiev to Warsaw & back to Kiev , 4 nights stay in the Best Western for $568 Canadian dollars.
The hotel was clean, the staff were pleasant, but it was unbelievable to us that the hotel bar and restaurant closed early on New Years' Eve. As it is a bit of a distance from the city centre, not walking distance but well served by buses, we decided to spend the evening at our hotel, have a meal and a few drinks before midnight. The buses were not to be running from the city centre after midnight so there was no point in remaining there. We headed down to the restaurant for a meal about 8pm, to find it closed and locked, the bar also. We ended up having to go to a local garage for a bag of pretzels and a can of soda for our dinner. It had not been advertised, and there was no sign up to say the bar and restaurant would be closed. This is the first time we have encountered this, and we always take a holiday over New Year, so I can affirm this to be unusual. Other than that, the hotel was adequate, our rooms were clean, it would be nice if there was spare bed linen, as the duvet did not reach the edges of the bed and the pillows were flat. It got very hot during the night, and a safety feature missing was that the windows opened all the way, which was surprising and actually welcome, as I like to lean out a little to look out, especially as there were fireworks all over the city at midnight on New Year's Eve. I understand staff may not be happy to work over New Year, but having worked in the hospitality industry myself, I learned a long time ago to just suck it up and get on with it. Having said that, if I was back in Warsaw again, I would stay at this hotel. It is reasonably priced and as I said, well served by buses.
We had a rough day.. we came to Warsaw without A hotel to stay in., We drowe around from hotel to hotel and tried to Get s room.. all booked. Finally we got a room from a Student Hotel, Best Western Portos We were politely welkomed and got a really nice and clean room. Check in and out was easy. Only -1 point was the slight unprofessional touch witch was not bad. Young students are here to learn all the basics. Happy with the stay and can recommend
The hotel is to the south of central Warsaw. Transfer by coach from Modlin Airport to Warsaw Central takes around 55 minutes. We then got an Uber to the hotel which was around £10. It is accessed by public transport but we used taxis to get about - staff were happy to phone them for us. The hotel bar is small but well stocked and reasonably priced. We did not eat in the hotel. Our twin room was very comfortable. with two complimentary bottles of water. It was warm but no obvious air conditioning. The hospitality tray did not have breakfast tea but the restaurant staff were happy to give us some. The bathroom had liquid soap, body wash/shampoo and a powerful, easy to use shower. There is a construction site close by which starts work around 07.00 hrs. so can be noisy if you need the window open. The TV has very few English speaking channels. The staff were polite, cheerful and extremely helpful. We had a very pleasant stay in this lovely hotel.
The hotel is situated close to the city centre and easy to get to using public transport with Google Maps. It is one of 3 properties off a main road, a one star hotel (Start Aramis), a two star (Start Atos) and the 3 star Best Western Portos. The Portos is well furnished and modern with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Bathrooms are modern and have good showers with shampoo and soap provided. (Sadly my room had no liquid soap). There is a hairdryer and sockets for shavers etc. The rooms are well heated and have a phone, fast free Wi-Fi and a large screen HD TV but with only a couple of English TV channels. You also get a kettle and coffee/tea provided. One annoying thing is the horrible hard chairs in the rooms, they are nasty plastic things and not comfortable whilst at the table using a computer etc. Overall pretty comfortable but the property is 100% non smoking so a lower floor room might be best for smokers to get to the outside smoking area. Noise can be an issue with construction close by and the Aramis hotel crowd smokers can be quite noisy if you are in a lower floor room. Breakfast/Bar is pricey but there are local alternatives including a well stocked petrol station across the road that offers pizza slices, hot dogs, beers and nice coffee at reasonable prices. I enjoyed the Portos and would book again as it offers better facilities than it's co-located cousins in this area of Warsaw.
Hotel is a renewd block of flat. Surranding is not nice at all. But when you steo in, it is a different experience. The hotel brings the *** level. Kitchen is over expectations, breeakfast very nice, coffee is Nescaffé...
I stayed for 3 nights. When I booked this hotel, the room rate was including breakfast. When I want to check out, the staff told me that my room rate excluding breakfast. I insist that my room rate has already included the breakfast and told them to check again. I just want me to show the booking confirnation to proof it. I booked this hotel from best western website, I don't know how this mistake would happen. Fortunately, I found my confirmation and the staff finally believe what I said. Poor hotel and poor hotel staff! They charged to my credit card without asking me what currency I would like to be charged and charged to the worst exchange rate currency. Be careful!
After my flight got cancelled Lot Airlines made me spend one night there, first thing you feel when you enter is the terrible smell the hotel has, from the Lobby to the room! Rooms had no AC/ Heater, and power plugs were all very far from beds, so forget about charging your phone near by unless you bring an extension. The carpet looked very dirty (maybe that is the reason of that weird smell).
We stayed three nights in the hotel and there was nothing to beef about. The rooms are really clean and the breakfast buffet is opulent and good. A bus drives from the airport to the hotel, you need 40 minutes with it. Or take a taxi and you pay around 40 Zloty (be careful with taxis, only take the ones with a number on the roof). A bus stop is next to the hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and very obliging (except one or two female barkeepers ??). I booked the hotel in March for my stay in September and I paid 180 € for three nights, breakfast including and no partial payment. And it was possible to cancellation the rooms on the arrival day (until 6 pm). It was a really good choice and I recommend it to others.
I went to Warsaw for a WE-Trip, 3 nights. I've really enjoyed staying at this hotel, everything is really clean, rooms are cleaned everyday even tho you go out of your room at 3pm (First time I'm experiencing this in a 3* tbh, really enjoyable), Bed is comfy, TV is big, that was really a nice time spent at this hotel. Front desk people are nice and will help you if you need anything. I just have something to really improve the hotel at the best: -Minibars.. Would be really nice to have some to stock water, food, etc -Bed cover sheets : Imo they are too narrow, meaning that after a night of sleep it's not gonna cover the bed anymore. -Lights button aren't placed at the right place, in the middle of the bed, you can light on during the night and it's not really nice :). Overall it's a solid product offered here, 11-16zl to go to the city center.
I stayed in this hotel for one night. The entrance to the hotel was not facing the main road for moment it was strange. The interior of the hotel is very good and room was also good. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was well organized, I had to wait for dinner since a big group of travelers were keeping the tables and the staff busy. Overall it was a good experience.
I had a brilliant stay at the Best Western Hotel Portos! The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and spoke excellent English. The building itself looks a little imposing from the outside, but the interior and room were lovely, and very nicely furnished. The room included tea and coffee making facilities, and even some welcoming toffees (which were very greatly appreciated). Both the room and bathroom were spotless. Towels were provided, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel has free but slightly unreliable wifi. It is located about 20 minutes from the city centre by bus, but the nearest bus stop (Mangalia) is just 2 minutes' walk away, and provides really easy access to the city centre, the Old Town and the airport. I was travelling alone as a young woman and felt very safe here. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We have been here for 3 nights. Very clean hotel. Very nice staff. Very !!!! Good!!!! Beds. It is 20 minutes out of the centre but bus only costs 50 cent To go To the centre. They even have night buses. So we really enjoyed our stay and we would return To this hotel on our next visite To Warsaw
The hotel is located about 5 km from the city center, so it is not the best place if you want to see the city. There is not much to do in the area of the hotel (there is a shopping mall and the airport is a quarter of an hour away by car). Rooms are simple and clean (no AC) with good Wi-Fi, and the staff is but dont knoe much about the area. for 1 day it is good hotel, for more then that i will choose something in the center.
Pretty nice hotel for three stars. Facilities OK, service very nice. The restaurant prices are on an average level. Breakfast excellent! Good access to the center of Warsaw by a bus near to the hotel. Peaceful surroundings.
The hotel shows care for the guests (tea/coffee/water were waiting for me in the room, even sewing-kit - which almost made me cry))). Very clean, cozy, and ideal bed for a good rest before you keep going with your plans around the city. Not far from the center and there's direct bus line to the airport. I definitely take it into account for my next visiting Warsaw.
My travel takes me to Warsaw about once a month and I usually stay closer to the airport, but my usual hotel (right across the street from Chopin Airport) raised it's rates to the point where the value was lost. I decided to try Best Western Portos..... I wish I had done this sooner. Great staff, very comfortable rooms - well equipped, the restaurant was great, nice location. Regardless of a comparable rate elsewhere I will stay at Portos when possible.
The people at the reception are very friendly, helpful and attentive. Rooms are clean , mattresses comfortable. Had a good view from my street window, Late at night some guests tended to be little louder than would prefer. Easy access to old town and any point in the city, get weekly pass rather than daily ticket. Recommend this hotel for the price. I am from USA , there the price of this hotel would be triple in fee. Highlight of the hotel again , were the people at the reception.
Very clean and tidy at a good price and very helpful staff bus stop right outside with direct links to city centre on one side of road and airport other shame that there was building works going on close by but as work was up before them
The hotel is localised in a very busy area, with main roads nearby. This causes an extreme noise almost 24/7. You can do nothing about it, plus the fact that there is no air conditioning in the rooms so while opening a window for some air you will end up in the noise anyway. There had been constant maintenance works in the hotel building including drilling in the rooms or some handrails blasting outside the building. Also there is a construction project in the adjacent building so the noise was terrible. There are two other low budget hotels in the area, sharing the same overcrowded parking area. The parking costs 30 PLN per day but the parking place is not guaranteed in the price if you arrive late at night. The security adviced us to leave the car somewhere on the grass quite far from the main parking. There was a room to park a car that time, but reserved for the hotel director.... The guests from the low budget hotels party outside the buildings till early hours and the security does nothing about it. The only good thing worth mentioning is the cleaning service doing a good job in the rooms and the polite reception staff. There is no other pluses to be mentioned, the hotel can only be recommended for the some tours visiting Warsaw for one-night-stay for a relatively low price. No one will stand there longer that a night due to the sourrounding noice.
Rooms are like you expect of Best Western. Simple and clean. Food in the restaurant is tastefull and service friendly. The breakfasts were nice; on Friday there was even a cook that made fresh omelette and pancakes. Take bus 116 directly outside the hotel to go to Old Town or Wilanow Palace. Both beautiful to see. We will go back to this hotel when we visit Warsaw next time. Note to Best Western: Although everything was like we wished for, they throw away my Tupperware drinking bottle. Due to the receptionist it is policy to throw away all empty bottles left in the room. I was sad to hear this, because my bottle traveled with me for 2,5 years in Australia and Indonesia. I try to keep nature clean. The housekeeping searched for the bottle, but sadly it is gone. Please Best Western change your policy and think more sustainable. I have not seen any signs of improving that. (For example don't give clean towels every day, separate plastic rubbish from others and motivate people to use own bottles - by putting a refill station at reception.)
Great and good looking hotel, with very reasonable prices. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice view from the rooms on top. Only downside is location which is 6 km from the centre, but the bus ride frequently in front of hotel(bus numbers 501,519,522)
Although out from the town centre this hotel is extremely convenient for central Warsaw with secure parking (moderate charge) and good public bus connection. Not just good value for money but a very pleasant experience with good meals and friendly staff.
Expectations arriving here were low, with many colleagues saying Warsaw was grey and disappointing and with pre-viewed reviews describing the Portos Hotel as a bland reconstituted Soviet-era apartment block. What a pleasant surprise! Warsaw turned out to be a vibrant and intriguing city, with as many trees and green spaces as Berlin. And the hotel was really excellent. Set apart by friendly and professional staff, a high level of facilities and an emphasis on quality. Breakfast was outstanding. Rooms tended to the functional but were clean and highly serviceable. Internet connection good and efficient. Location is outside the city center but served well by public transport and a taxi service that, frankly, could be unpredictable. This is a good and comfortable place to stay and can be recommended as such. My visit coincided with the hotel packed with Hell's Angels. And a nicer bunch of folks you could not find!
The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and it's quiet. My room was very comfortable and clean and I was provided with free water bottles each day. The restaurant is fairly good for a meal. Especially the chocolate sufflé was really good. Breakfast has a bit of everything. The location might not have been the best as the surroundings are not that exciting. However there is connection via bus.
The hotel itself was absolutely fine, with fast internet over WiFi, excellent breakfast, comfortable rooms and pleasant staff. The one drawback was the location, which required a bus or taxi to get into the centre of Warsaw. Buses are very efficient and cheap (3.4 zl). Taxis are cheap if you get the metered ones (c. 30zl). Beware if you get unofficial ones - some people were ripped off with prices of about 150 zl!)
If the application for renewal of residence there is exploitation in the room rate When they know that of we the room obliged to extend It was a really bad experience so i think i will no back at this hotel any more
I stayed for 3 nights and not cleaned the room any time. very expensive for offered. Good location but stay three nights without changing towels or replenish shampoo is inaceital withal the carpet all property is filthy.
The hotel is valuable for travellers, because the service offered was good. Especially, staff were very kind. So we were satisfied with the hotel. The place is approx. 20 minutes away from the city centre by bus. However, bus stop is 2 minutes away from the hotel.
I stayed here 4 nights during a group journey with my employer. The hotel was clean, thus some dated and the bed madras were hard. The pillow might be too thin/low. Those room facing the road will be disturbed by the traffic noice, however, the soundproffing by the windows were very good. But, if you close the windows, there will be no other ventilation option in the room. The breakfast buffer was ok. Personel was polite and cheerfull
This is a good value hotel in Warsaw. My single bed bedroom was nice and clean and had all the things you need except from a minibar and in room safe. Staff are friendly and breakfast was quite nice. I would say average plus.
Stayed here for work reasons. I wouldn't have stayed here otherwise - it's not close to city centre or to airport, it's facilities are average, so has little attraction for the leisure traveller or tourist. It's part of a complex of three hotels which look like converted residential blocks which probably explains the physical shortcomings of the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and reasonably furnished. Not big, but OK. Staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel lobby and restaurant/bar are small for the size of the hotel. It makes for an interesting breakfast experience, where the buffet is laid around the sides of the restaurant in no particular order. The food was fine, but I guess the space restrictions reduced the choice of options. The physical layout means that the lifts are inadequate for the number of rooms and consequently there is always a wait for one to arrive.
Very nice hotel. It used to be a block of flats. Now converted to a 3* hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Parking place available for a reasonable price. Good option if you're travelling by car. Staff is very friendly.
Portos is one of the three hotels in the same company and only one with three *. It really deserves it, Nice rooms, clean and comfortable. Very good restaurant and lovely breakfasts. Very kind staff at the reception
Good hotel with reasonable price for those who do not want to stay in the downtown. Easy to find when traveling by car. Friendly and supporting team. However room cards sometimes was not active. Good place for short stay.
The Best Western Portos is fairly basic, but the rooms are comfortable and clean with massive floor to ceiling windows, although the view outside is not the most scenic. The absence of any tea & coffee making facilities was a bit of a shame. The hotel is fairly close to the airport with a taxi ride only costing around €7. There are not any eateries in the immediate vicinity so decided to dine in the restaurant. It is very nicely presented and the service was both friendly and efficient. The food was not exactly fine dining, but like the hotel, value wise you couldn't really fault it for the price you paid.
Clean, modern and quite. Good breakfast, but be careful you don't eat too much! Location was good to me, this is not a hotel for you who are looking for a cosy place for a city trip. The hotel restaurant is OK, thats it really.
The staff is wonderful and makes sure that there are no problems. The breakfast is outstanding. The rooms were clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much. We would stay there again. The parking is a little difficult but we survived.
Excellent service at reasonable price. The staff has been very friendly and accommodative. My stay at Warsaw was comfortable only because of the staff of Hotel Portos. I suggest that your work should improve with greater facilities.
everything was perfect. good accessibility. courteous service. comfortable room. good price. Image and Reality of the same. regularly cleaned room. well-equipped room. Nothing was bad. I'm going back this year.
Taking into consideration: price, location (it's close to Wilanow, Lazienki and Legia's stadium, not far from the downtown) and overall conditions of accomodation I can recommend Best Western Portos. Enjoy.
Room a little bit small, clean, standard and confortable, good and large bed, room very warm in the winter thats fine. We don't take the breakfast is to expensive, like the parking at 30sloty per day.
I s a nice and clean place to bad they do not have coffee or tea in the rooms Otherwise is a nice place to spend a few days The breakfast is kind of expensive The restaurant menu is poor not a lot of option
Cozy and comfortable hotel in a convenient place. Excellent spacious room with a big window. Very good location - 3 minutes walk to the bus stop, and then in 15 minutes you'll get to a Warsaw Old Town or main railway station.
A clean, tidy hotel room and bathroom, decent breakfast offer. Good room service. Overall a B+, as for a 3 star hotel one would expect to have tea and coffee facilities in the room (these can be borrowed through reception without extra charge, but still). The hot water is a bit wonky in the shower. The restaurant menu is generous but overpriced. The hotel is quite far from the city centre so would not recommend for tourist stays. I was a bit disappointed with the hotel staff not being particularly friendly, not replying to a standard "good morning".
I am very pleased with the service, staff, purity rooms and the hotel itself location is also satisfactory, in front of the hotel is accessible taxis and near the stations for public transport My recommendation is that who is visiting Warsaw stay at this hotel!
The bus stop was very close to the hotel. The room was clean and nice. There was a TV in the room. The downside was that there wasn't a music TV channel and the internet was not that fast, but it was acceptable. The breakfast was great.
Very nice rooms, good connectivity transportation. Sweet restaurant, with healthy breakfast. Room service is good and very punctual. Feels very safe at this property and the nearby place. Easy to reach places like Mall, restaurants, cinema's.
I would come back if I visit Warsaw again. The breakfast was really good and the staff was really nice with us. I've been to other Best Western places and this was the best. Big room and big bathroom.
For its location, not recommended for guests without car. Within a few minutes walk there is a fancy shopping center called Sadyba Best Mall. Cute shops and Carrefour supermarket with rich assortment of high-quality goods.
Although we were there to attend a workshop at the nearby British School, it was rather easy to connect to the city center by buses right beside the hotel. The room as such was comfortable and heating was on even in October . The breakfast was indeed one of the best i found in this price category. It is perhaps the best breakfast outside the 5 star category of places I ever stayed. So thank you best Western portos! The staff was helpful. We had an issue with WiFi connectivity and gladly resolved that by changing our room to across the hallway where it was slightly better. We found the place quite nice and we would stay there again!
Visited Warsaw for a business trip and stayed overnight. Convenient location and excellent staff- very profesional, ready to help. Simple and clean rooms, qualitative breakfast. Great price/product ratio. The hotel staff makes experience great and professional. Thanks.
Good hotel for business trips. Not far from city center. 15 minutes by public transport. There are a lot of dishes for breakfast. Everyone could find what he like. Internet connection was good on the all territory of the hotel.
Hotel served it's purpose well. Very clean with friendly staff who even helped me with learning my Polish! Surrounding area in a couple of directions is a bit bland and industrial but the main road taxi ride to the city centre takes only 15 minutes or so. Although I took the time to walk it instead and there are many magnificent buildings along this route such as museums, embassies, galleries etc that you would miss in a taxi or bus. Also several small restaurants and bars tucked away discretely along the way.
We stayed four days here, visiting relatives, and felt quite comfortable for a good price. Rooms are standard, but staff at desk and breakfast were very helpful and friendly. We found breakfast ok for the price and everything were fresh and tasteful! I dont understand people complaining for items that you can check before make reservations. We found the hotel worth enough to come back a next time I dont understand people complaining about localization because you can check it before reserving! Its obvious that its not a luxury hotel so demands for extra
I expected a three star treatment comparable to other Best Western Hotels that I have stayed at. I reserved a non-smoking room with a king bed and got a queen bed. The front desk staff was snippy (not nice) when I asked about the king bed and was surprised when they asked me at check-in if I wanted a smoking or non-smoking room. I was promised luxury accommodations. There is no air conditioning, and I had to ask for a fan, instead of finding one already cooling my high floor room. Fan did not cool off room, during the heat wave. Breakfast had many choices and was supposed to end at 10:30 AM. Almost ten minutes before, the waiters are snatching your plates almost mid-bite. The food was removed by 10:35 AM. Dinner was barely enjoyable, but the waiter was helpful. When it came time to pay, the cashier did not listen to me when I requested to pay in zlotys and was charged in dollars. It had to be redone. CNN is not offered as a choice of TV channels. Everywhere else I have stayed in Poland, there has been a refrigerator in the room, but there is none in my room. The room is clean and the lobby and restaurant are air conditioned. I am here two more nights, and am not looking forward to them.
I was staying at this hotel for two nights to visit Warsaw, while traveling from Germany to Lithuania, and first look was really good, reception helpful and pleasant room clean and nice for that reasonable price. The bad experience was the restaurant and bar, right after check-in we went to restaurant in the first floor beside the fancy look and music the waiter did not speak english and food was very disappointing.. On second evening we went to the bar for only couple of drinks and it was same story. I ordered long island iced-tea and it was only vodka, gin and coke in water glass!! All of it for 30zl that was ridiculous..
-the hotel rooms are nice, clean, and they change your towels everyday (the typical stuff you would expect from a hotel room) -location is terrible: its far from the airport (20 min cab drive) and far from the center and old town (30 minute bus ride) -there is really not much of anything around the hotel other than a gas station and a tiny pizza place -good if you're looking for somewhere cheap to stay, but note that you will be commuting no matter where you're going -we also found the staff at the front desk very nice, but the staff in the breakfast buffet area not too pleasant. they would roll their eyes, or say they don't have change for the breakfast you're buying (which by the way is 25 zloty per person)
i enjoyed my stay in this fine tourist /business hotel.situated in a 'clump of 3',...a 1 ,a 2 and this three star hotel, had everything i needed and wanted for a short trip to warsaw.on the lengthy and tedious 148 bus route ,directly from the airport for an amazing 4.40zloty, i arrived in about 45mins.it runs every 20 mins.there is nothing nearby and the wonderful staff and delicious breakfast cannot improve on the fact thats its the middle of nowhere....so its cabs or buses into the centre [30 mins] or you drive.seemed to have a lot of people staying 'overnight' or very short term.'business'types rather than tourists like myself, it seemed.i certainly wasn't in a rush but simply prefer some other options nearby .the staff were exemplary !
