I stoped here during my come back travel to Italy. Good position and very calm and clean room. A little too much expensive the breakfast.
Great hotel if you are travelling for business. The staff was really nice and helpful. My room was tidy and quiet. There is a coffee machine in the rooms and a kettle for tea. I just wish they would not have forgotten to exchange a used coffee capsule for a new one. Otherwise no complaints about the room though. The sauna is great, yet the spa area is not very big, so anything above 2 people feels crowded. The breakfast buffet was really good, with plenty of choice and freshly made eggs and omeletts could be ordered. If you don't fancy eating in the restaurant of the hotel there is an italian place not far, 5-10min walk.
Travelled with a party of around 25 people from a car club. The worst hotel we stayed in on our 10 day trip. Bland rooms very hot ,and quite basic. The evening meal was indifferent and breakfast very average. Located away from town and really nowhere we could socialize. OK for a business overnight providing you eat out. Overall service etc was poor/ Will not be staying here again
I know a lot of reviews stated that the rooms where hot. Since the outdoor temperature during our stay was around 25 Celsius we figured - how bad can it be. Well - bad. In addition smoking is encouraged on the balcony - ash trays on every table. Window open and melt in an uncomfortably hot room or be woken up by smoke and conversations all through the night ????? People actually insisted that they weren't loud. HAHAHA we and the other guests would not have woken up and we would not have asked you to be more considerate at 4 in the morning. Long story short - we will not be staying there again. If you need a room when it is 20 degrees Celsius outside and you smoke - go for it. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were small, but clean.
The adjacent bar and restaurant is not connected to the hotel. The frontdesk has no clue what is going on there. I was rejected to eat/drink due a to private party which the front desk was not aware about. There is a vending machine next to the reception, but it is ruining you. 2,5euro for a 0,25dl sparkling water! Nor was it refilled during my stay and it was almost empty. My room was not well prepared upon my 3 days stay. There was missing cups, glasses and Nespresso capsels. Nor soap in the shower. The beds are okay, but window fronting to the hotel entrance is too noisy. No Aircondition. Rooms are very warm. The room need maintenace, it does not look up to date. My room was not cleaned on the second day. I left the room quite early and put out the note telling the cleaners it was ready for them. Facing the reception to confront this issue, it occured that the reception was not manned and was only available by phone! The breakfast... Is a very simple hotel breakfast. Not worth the money, not even close. Free parking though.
Cleanliness is something they don't know, despite they say they hygienize the room super carefully because of corona. Dirty teaspoons, dirty toilet cups (with toothpaste from previous guest), dirty ground(foot) towels (with stains), long hair on the soap, dust everywhere like the last time they cleaned was before corona. They made a mistake with the reservation and got the wrong room. No one to complain with neither at 21 nor at 9.30. missing publicized services. Missing everything. No personnel. Just go elsewhere.
One night stay in the middle of a long business trip; I booked this hotel looking for something with good quality level in this Covid-period. The reception is OK, the personnel available, but as I entered the room I was quite disappointed by the missing air conditioning: my room was at gound floor, so limited possibility to leave the windows opened. Frigobar non working, internet connection very unstable and slow, but the worst thing is the long-pile carpet on the floor. It's something non-hygenic! On top of all, the heavy duvet that with 30 degrees in the room was not the best solution.
A very short stay but enjoyable nice clean room friendly staff. Typical service of the Best Western Group that is why I like the hotels you know what you will get. Does not matter where you stay anywhere in the world.
The room was very cramped for three adults, but manageable for one night. Small bathroom as well. The room ( and hotel ) was very clean, something we certainly appreciated! The breakfast buffet was lovely. Clean and organized buffet with good variety of products. Parking was tight, but that was mostly because of a bunch of terrible drivers who parked their cars on two parking spaces, so the hotel can hardly be blamed for that. The receptionist were friendly and helpful, something which is not always the case in this type of hotels (business-orientated). Bravo!
We used the hotel for an overnight stay. Very nice staff at reception who recommended a walk along the river and gave us plenty of information about how to get about.. Parking was €8. Breakfast was €15. The room had all the usual standard fittings and a nice balcony. My only problem was with the bathroom which was quite tight and I am standard size. And my annoyance with hotels that fit wash basins with no way of plugging them. It's a very fancy sink with a ‘fake plug' which serves no purpose. You cannot get a bowl of water and you have to leave the tap running which is a terrible waste of precious water. More and more this is happening with hotel wash basins and I cannot see why. I would rather have a wash basin that holds water than one that looks pretty. We had our evening meal at the hotel. It was very nice as was the breakfast. I would recommend everything except the bathroom.
Stayed for business. The room was very small and so was the bathroom. My room was located on the ground floor and I was able to hear the noise of the cars, birds and people talking on the balcony. The room doesn't have air conditioning system and i was freezing so asked reception for a heater. The guy brought me one from the storage but it did not work... having said that - the guy from reception clearly had good intentions and was trying to help, but ended up bringing a faulty device. Room's amenities: - coffee machine - sufficient toiletries (no shower cap) although the shower gel container was completely broken - decent room WiFi, but it doesn't work from the restaurant Restaurant had a very minimal menu which included 4 or 5 dishes: - A salad with chicken / schnitzel - fish soup - Schnitzel - sausage And that's about it. If you're there for one night you can find something to eat but after the second night around you'll run out of options :) - Breakfast was ok. - Didn't check the gym or the sauna but they do have one. - Free parking. *** hotel does NOT located directly in Ulm but a bit further away and if to be exact, about 15 min / 20 EUR from city center.
I spend 1 night for 140€ but wifi doesn't work downstairs, my room was so small, it look like we disturb restaurant staff. I couldn't eat because customers have to reserve a table. But room was clean, i don't think i'll come back
Stayed here for 1 night whilst en route through southern Germany Very nice hotel with great bar and restaurant; breakfast buffet was sumptuous Good for business and a little outside city centre but staff provide bus tickets and ample information to allow you to get to main sights in city within 10 minutes bus ride One issue - no air conditioning- it was a warm day and was a little uncomfortable for sleeping. In the height of summer could be a real issue Otherwise excellent and Francesco on front desk could not have been more helpful
Clean comfortable quiet hotel. The reception and restaurant staff all had good spoken English (as well as German). Restaurant, with outdoor seating area, nicely busy with non-hotel guests indicating the food was good. A bit out of the town centre so not so many options for eating elsewhere unless you take a taxi. The road outside had dedicated cycle lanes (which many people were putting to good use) so you could safely cycle if you had a bike.
Stayed one night as we drove trough Germany and it is a fine hotel. Clean room and fine bed. There are no aircon in the rooms and the hotel in the middel nothing. The breakfast are huge and fresh. Value for money
Stayed here for 2 nights with kids. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. However, I never appreciate hotels that push together 2 single mattress and calls that a double. Maybe an old couple would appreciate that, we didn't. The breakfast was decent. The coffee was not so good.
I have stayed at the Best Western Atrium several times this year while attending work conferences. Location is quite convenient and downtown is within 30 minutes walk or 6 minute by bus. Rooms have all expected amenities but nothing standing out. Hotel restaurant had good food but our group went out for supper most of the time. Overall great place at a good price.
We stayed here for one night traveling to winter sports. The hotel is located in a industrial zone with only 1 restaurant on walking distance, while the hotel restaurant was full. There was however a higher level restaurant at the hotel where you have to take a 3 dish course, which really wasn't what we wanted with our 4y old daughter. They would have arranged another menu as we were hotel guests. The room was very small with an extra bed, luckily we didn't have to brig our luggage in for that night or we would have slept our our bags. The room was terribly hot and no airco. The receptionist literally said they found the airco investment too heavy!
I make reservation by booking.com an later I read some of review here. Than I get scare because some of them where not good. But when I come everything was great. Rooms are clean, staff very polight, excellent breakfast and nice sunny terrace view. Maybe is not nice that guests of hotel have to pay the parking place.. For price we pay for room it would be nice that its parking included. But its free internet.. Sauna and gym are also correct.. However,I will come again....
It's a good business hotel wit nice rooms in a quiet area. Check-in was very efficient (done within a minute). Rooms a very clean and well-equipped, breakfast has a large choice of items of good quality.
OseGreat hotel just finishing Renovation project.Work is to great standard. Restaurant has just opened this week and is fantastic . Staff are brilliant so nice and kind will book again. Room's are well presented not much else around. Not needed Ulm centre 5 km away tram close and bus root also.
I spent two nights in this hotel. Our first impression was good but then several disappointing issues appeared, one after the other: 1) Car can be left in the hotel parkplace only by paying 8€ per night. It is absurd when I already payed 120€ per night for a conventional double room. I needed to move the car in a free parkplace nearby. 2) I asked information about the place I needed to go to; the man at the reception gave me the wrong name of the tram stop and I arrived almost at the end station of the tram and needed to come back... Very irritating! 3) During the breakfast, there were works in progress in the room where the buffet was placed (see picture); the bricklayers used a driller, next to the food! Imagine also the noise in the breakfast hall... Definitely they should have done this after the breakfast time. 4) I wanted to use the sauna: the girl at the reception said that I must tell them 45 minutes in advance! 5) The second day they put only one towel instead of two in our room (we were two guests). All in all, not a comfortable experience. Absolutely not a good quality/price ratio.
The hotel and rooms look good on the website, however the area is a dump, the so called view over the city only exists if you look to the extreme right out of your window if you are on the lower floors, there is no airco or any cover against the sun. Our room was very very hot and no way to cool it down, the bedcovers were for wintertime. Part of the building is under construction, the whole place looks shabby and in no way 4*. The room is small and the bathroom looks like a closet. During this trip I have stayed in Holiday Inn Express hotels with bigger, nicer rooms with airco, for half the price this hotel charged. I should have left but could not cancel it anymore. Stay away.
Very poor breakfest ( not for 4 stars ). Close to the road, so it is noisy at night. No air cinditioner .The stuff is not helpfull . It is far from the city center. I don t recomend it. There are many better hotels in Ulm for the same price and closer to the city center.
Nice hotel, located a short drive from the town; rooms immaculate, nice breakfast, but weak wifi signal in dining room, but very fast in bedrooms. Only stayed one night on the way home from Lake Garda
Overall we had a really good stay at this hotel. Very comfortable and relaxing and with a really nice atmosphere. We ate in the small bar area which was much nicer than we had been led to believe in previous reviews. It was quite expensive but the food was very good and there was plenty of it. The breakfast was also very good with lots to choose from. The only thing that we were unhappy with was the quality of the cot provided. The one that had been put in the room did not lock into position and was therefore unsafe. We were given a replacement immediately but while this one was usable in that it was safe it did have a lot of holes in the side. The staff member I spoke to did say that they were investing in new cots and this definitely needs to happen. Staff were great generally, getting us hot water for baby bottles and other things we needed.
I was there for a business trip in BW Ulm for two days. Overall a good experience. The hotel is a bit far away from the city center and you need the car to move. The parking is quite expensive related to the place.
this was an overnight stop, which surprised us with the excellence of the restaurant. We had travelled Europe for a month and this was the best meal we had in the whole trip. It was master chef standard! The hotel and staff were fine and we had wifi in our room. The parking was secure and ample. The only negative was that our room didn't have air conditioning which was probably our slip up when booking. An enjoyable stay.
After a very tiring trip, me and my husband decided to have a one night stay in Ulm, Germany. We booked in this hotel as a walked-in guests, luckily they have a spared room for us. The room has complete amenities that you can ask for, plus free wifi and breakfast included. It's not very spacious but It's clean. The staffs were polite and very attentive. We'll definitely book here again. PS. I just hated the banging of the doors from the other rooms/guests. It was so loud and they were so noisy.
Rooms are large and clean but depending on which one you get can be noisy. I stayed in 6 and could hear everything on the TV next door. Traditional German bed situation with two single quilts on a double bed. For the sie of the room the bathroom is small (no shower cap provided) but small Haribo sweets on beds are a nice touch. Could not find the BBC which is unusual for an international hotel. Breakfast is really good, excellent choice and lovely terrace from which it can be enjoyed.
After 28 days on the road in Europe, it was a delight to stay here. The staff were excellent, friendly and obliging, and the room was superbly clean and comfortable. To have free parking, and be able to come and go, was a bonus after being in so many Hotels that add parking to the bill as you check out. An Hotel worth staying in.
As a group of three travelling on business we were very disappointed to find that the hotel had given away our non-smoking rooms (which we specifically booked) - so that one of us would have had to sleep in a dirty smoking room. We refused - and were met with no help at all from the hotel staff to find alternative accomodation for the night. I did have an email exchange with the manager afterwards - but it was all just poor excuses and no real help, so I can not recommend anyone to go here. I even waited two months in writing this review to give the hotel time to respond with a satisfactory answer to my complaint.
