Palazzo Gatto Art Hotel & SPA, BW Premier Collection

For one night in Trapani, we loved this hotel. It was in a terrific location with very kind staff, and a lovely breakfast. I would recommend it. Great shower and great air conditioning.

What a beautiful stay we had at Palazzo Gatto! Sweetened by the fact that the AirCon kept our room at a cool 22C, while outside it was nearly 35C. Situated near the historic old town - so just around the corner from all the restaurants and bars. Breakfast was fantastic, but you're better not on a diet when you come to Sicily - the locals love their sweets. The rooms are modern and clean. There is an amazing roof terrace with a hot tub (to use for a small fee). Everyone was super friendly, from receptionists, to waiter, to cleaning lady - and all spoke English (though I had my Duolingo-Italian at the ready...). The local beaches are quite narrow and there is quite a bit of sea grass, but it's still nice - especially at sun set time. We took the bus one day to San Vito Lo Capo, which is a beautiful blue-water beach just like in the Caribbean. We came to relax for a long weekend (la dolce fare niente) - and for that it was perfect!

It's our first time that the hotel was better than as described in photos, it has been a wonderful experience you cannot expect. The attention to the details, the confort and the quality of the room and finally the breakfast is unique. We will go back again :-)

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in June. The location was excellent, although we did need help to find it. It is in the historic district. The hotel is very modern inside - you have a keypad to get into room rather than key card. We were able to check in early and had a lovely big room. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was the best we had all holiday. Fresh orange juice each day, lovely fruit and pastries etc. It was nice to have the juice and tea/coffee served at the table. We went to Prosit Bar for drinks in the evening as just up road from hotel and, again, very friendly. Full of locals. Good value. The hotel was ideally located to walk everywhere. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. It was also very convenient for getting bus to Palermo.

We spent five nights at the Palazzo Gatto Art Hotel in Trapani on the first leg of a five week visit to Sicily in Spring 2026. We booked the hotel eight months in advance based on its positive reviews on Trip Advisor, its location in the old town and its reasonable nightly rates. The hotel exceeded our expectations: it was modern but not pretentious; the staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful; and we had a spacious, well appointed and quiet room (away from any street noise as we had requested). A generous breakfast was served efficiently and with a smile each morning in a pleasant two room breakfast area. The hotel is so well located that we were able to walk everywhere: around the old town and along the lungomare; to every restaurant that we tried for lunch and dinner; to the port for our salt tour pick-up and the local bus service to San Vito Lo Capo; and even through the newer part of Trapani to the the Erice funicular. We certainly recommend Palazzo Gatto for a stay in beautiful Trapani!

Attractive and modern hotel in a perfect location for exploring the old town. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large and nicely decorated and the shower was excellent.

Palazzo Gatto Art hotel is in a central location in Trapani, very close to the town, walking areas, restaurants and bars. The room was spacious, and fit 3 of us very comfortably. The breakfast area was small but plentiful options, wonderful coffee, and the staff at breakfast were helpful and very nice. A few drawbacks that may make me not stay here again - no air conditioning in mid-April, and it was a warm week. We had to keep a window or door open, and the lights outside of the hotel on a patio did not turn off, also allowing bugs/flies into the room. Our room was not ready until after 4:00. The rooftop was not open, or had ongoing maintenance, while we were there. Also, the bathroom has glass frosted walls, so there was absolutely no privacy assuming your family is in the room at the same time.

The hotel is very well located. The room was pleasant and very stylish. The breakfasts were excellent. However, the reception was rather average, which is a shame.

The spa has a calm atmosphere and the staff was polite, but the overall experience did not meet expectations. The service felt rushed, and hygiene standards could be improved. Some areas were not as clean as they should be, and the treatment did not feel very professional. It might be acceptable for a basic visit, but there is a lot of scope for improvement in quality and service.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and modern. Parking was easier than we expected so trust the instructions they give you and get the parking app. Breakfast was really good with local specialties and good coffee. The location is really good and everything is walkable with lots of good restaurants nearby.

Loved this hotel. Beautiful interior with amazing artwork. The front desk staff were so helpful and in one case we were steered away from a restaurant and sent to StraVento which was outstanding. The hotel is modern and I especially loved my Grohe shower! The breakfast was incredible with homemade pastries and again a wonderful staff. The only downside is that we were only there for two nights!

A little gem in Trapani, A wonderful hotel the rooms are beautifully designed.Front of staff couldn't do enough for us especially Cristina. Plenty of options for breakfast the location was perfect.Had the most amazing time in Sicily can't wait to revisit.

This hotel is perfectly located and very clean. Breakfast is wonderful. One complaint is that it's very noisy at night. Until 2 am you will hear the noise from the streets and restaurants. The staff told us there are rooms not facing the streets. So if you want to go to this hotel, make sure you ask for a room that's not on the street. Probably ok in the winter.

Fantastic location, brand new modern interior, great food and the best customer service! I loved this 5 star hotel. I was steps away from the historical districts epicenter, very clean and comfortable room with plenty of room, super pristine clean accommodations AND when I needed a last minute driver for transportation to the airport on a busy Easter weekend they effortlessly made it happen for me with a great driver. A great hotel can make all the difference in the world for a memorable holiday.

An exquisite ultra modern take in the centre of old Trapani, within minutes of all that centre has to offer. The hotel is so clean, the staff are welcoming and fun, and the breakfast is perfect… with pistachio stuffed croissants( how have I never encountered those before?). I highly recommend this hotel.

We loved this hotel. Great location right next to the Main Street of the old part of the city. Amazing staff willing to help with friendly advise and a warm smile. Super special rooms with innovative shower. Beautiful modern decor. Very reasonable prices.

Avoid this hotel if you can. Our room was directly above an extremely noisy bar. Sleeping until 2:00 am was out of the question. Annoying and unprofessional behaviour of the staff: First they offer exactly this room on site as an upgrade, although they know about the noise from the street. The next morning, the customer is not taken seriously and there was an absolutely unacceptable response to the complaint, which we will now address directly to the operator Best Western. Conclusion: If you want to sleep, don't book here.

The staff is what makes this place shine - so friendly and accommodating! Newly renovated in 2022. Breakfast buffet had something for everyone including fresh squeezed OJ and cappuccino, pastries, fruits, eggs, cereals and more. We really enjoyed our stay -
