Best Western Statesville Inn

Great location right off the highway, very clean rooms- comfortable, clean and convenient. I appreciated the pull out couch, and larger queen beds. They ran out of blankets, but it wasn't an issue, they gave us extra sheets. The breakfast was good too

When I called to reserve I spoke with Lubbie who was great! Location was good, with easy access to the highway. There is a huge sign that you see from the exit, but they need a smaller sign at the parking lot entrance. We drove right past at first. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We checked out early and had breakfast at the Waffle House next door. Those folks were enjoyable too. The hotel does offer a hot breakfast.

My room was clean and the breakfast was good, on par with the best continental breakfasts. Eggs, sausage, biscuits, and a working waffle machine. Pool was closed for the winter and the ice machine was broken. The hallways are outdoors and there are stairs, not an elevator, but it's only two floors.

The place was very clean and for the price it had excellent service and cleanliness. It also included breakfast which had a large variety of options including fresh waffles! Beth was excellent and super helpful so long and went above and beyond for our needs ! Highly recommend this spot.

Nice and a friendly hotel. $$ but clean. Quiet. Easy in and off interstate 77. Not many places to eat but we did find a Outback steakhouse. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Reservations were easy to make on line registration. Good place to stay

Hotel over all is a good hotel, right next to a gas station, Waffle House is there as well, and your big chain stores and more restaurants are 15 minutes away if that… very pleasant hotel, Beth the breakfast lady, Brittany and Chanel were great to work with!!!!

Clean and very comfortable room. Pillows were excellent, bathtub was fabulous. Quiet at night, and good breakfast options. Your breakfast hostess is great. She was very friendly and helpful. The office staff was very efficient and helpful.

I travel a lot for work and am spoiled by expensive hotels. But this time I needed something dog-friendly right off the interstate driving to vacation (on my own dime). This was the cleanest hotel room I ever stayed in, and it didn't smell at all..... which is pretty amazing for a dog room. The furnishings were basic, a desk, refrigerator, microwave, and enough light to read at the desk, and like 100 cable channels. The bed was very comfortable. Could have used a new tub. Breakfast was standard hotel fare - dry scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, breads, waffles, juice. Its right behind a Waffle House, where I had a perfectly cooked egg and hashbrown supper when I arrived late. I would stay here again

This hotel was very clean. The front desk staff was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed to have a nice stay. The hotel is situated right off I 77 which is a bonus! We've stayed at many hotels this year and Best Western Statesville Inn deserves recognition!

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. The staff was wonderful especially Kere at the front desk. The only reason it didn't get a 5 is because 5 belong to hotels that are a lot more elegant. This was great for the price!!!!

Clean room, park right in front of room, comfortable beds especially after 12 hours of driving, 1/2 the price of 2 nearby hotels who didn't even have breakfast included. Rooms had recently been renovated and floor was not carpeted which is a plus in our books.

The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly no matter what time it was. I wish I got their names but even at midnight when I checked in the lady at the counter had excellent customer service and the gentleman in charge of the breakfast did as well!

Kere check us in. I understand she is just in training but she did an excellent check in process. She was cheerful, welcoming and thanked us for being elite customers. She also provided the waters in the process. Later that evening she helped me get a couple plates and forks from the dinning area. In the morning she was there and welcomed us with a smile and a wave. She also checked us out and at that time she was very nice and telling my wife hello and that she hadn't had the chance to meet her. She is a great fit for the Best Western team. Thank You very much Kere. It was hot and well maintained. I noticed the gentleman I am guessing was in charge of breakfast was always checking on the food making sure there was enough. He also kept the dinning area very clean. The hotel is an older one but it is very well keep and it is very clean. I would recommend this hotel strongly Ed Nicolette

Stayed in sept as an overnight. The room was clean, the bed not soggy, and the tv worked. Under 100 dollars with breakfast that was decent. My only complaint was the fragrance used in the room was way way too strong. Seemed like it was used to cover up a smoker or something. It lingered the entire night. Overall a good experience

Excellent hotel. Staff was friendly, helpful, thorough. Breakfast was great with plenty of both hot and cold options. The deluxe king room was very large. Spacious, comfortable and quiet. Newly renovated room was fresh and clean (no carpet, which is wonderful). Great shower. The TV, Internet, mini refrigerator, microwave all worked well. Reasonable pet fee ($25 at time of our stay). Great value, convenient on and off I-77. Would definitely stay here again!

We appreciated the clean room, friendly staff, and the awesome breakfast. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the rooms were quiet.. Bethl was especially accommodating at breakfast and at checkout.

Staff was very nice and went beyond expectations for booking reservations and concerns. Lubbie the manager was very nice and accommodating. She did everything in her power to take care of my third party needs upon arrival. The lobby was clean and the smell good fragrance lit the room. Will book again in the near future!

The rooms have been completely renovated. Very clean washer and dryer facilities good breakfast easy off and on interstate 77. Breakfast in the morning professional staff. Pet friendly nice area for pets with waste disposal available

Probably the nicest hotel (in this price range) we have stayed in, in quite a while. Rooms are newly renovated & clean. Good selection at breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy on/off I77. Exterior corridors, rooms open to the parking lot. Quiet area, very safe.

Lubby at the front desk was super nice.She knew area well and gave many options for great food.We had a handicapped room as my wife hurt her knee on this trip.The room was super nice All rooms except 5 have been remolded...and they are working on the 5 rooms We had breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful choices hot eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits,waffles,cereal,juice and coffee and the cleanest breakfast bar i have ever seen.Beth who worked the breakfast bar was outstanding and very friendly..If you are ever in Statesville and need a room I highly recommend this Best Western

Rooms were nice. Wall are very thin though, could hear people next to us talking on the phone. Hot breakfast, good price. No elevator so had to drag suitcases up the stairs to second floor. It was average as it is a BW, not a BS Plus.

We have been coming here for a few years on our way to Florida mainly because they are pet friendly.. Nice to see.they are renovating the rooms.We.had a renovated room and we were.very pleased. Love.the TV being high up on the wall.

They are in the process of renovating, they gave us a newly renovated room and it was perfect!!! The staff is very friendly and helpful!!! Definitely recommended! I will definitely be staying here again!

We booked our rooms on what is supposed to be a reputable site. There's nothing wrong with that, but I would recommend checking with the hotel (any hotel) beforehand to make sure you are getting the best rate. My traveling companions requested a handicapped room. When we arrived, it turned out the booking agency had reserved two handicap rooms for an inflated price. Since there were no additional handicapped rooms available, the manager was unable to check me in. His name is Kushall and he really went to bat for us. It took about an hour of back and forth between us, Kushall and the terrible booking site to before the situation was resolved. I was refunded my money and able to get a reservation at the hotel for the real rate, which was much lower The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable I could have skipped dinner and slept all evening. We were on the first floor, close to the ice machine. The noise was limited; I could hear the TV in the room next door and people going up the stairs. This stopped at a reasonable time. Breakfast was okay. The woman who worked in that area was very nice. Choices were limited but the make-your-own was great. And delicious. I have stayed in five star hotels and honestly this was better than some of them. I don't have a single complaint. Thank you Kushall and the rest of the crew for providing a clean, comfortable place to stay. (Didn't see anyone from housekeeping but they deserve a shout out for a spotless room. And I regret not leaving a tip for a job well done.)

This Inn is going through renovations. We were given a room on the second floor that had been renovated. The choice of furnishings and bathroom utilities are beautiful. My only complaint was there is no elevator and stairs are difficult for guests with mobility issues. They should have completed 1-2 rooms on the ground floor for those with mobility challenges. Mattress and bedding were comfortable and there was good water pressure -towels a little thin. Breakfast had a good choices and the coffee was good and hot. The breakfast attendant was friendly but could do a better job cleaning the tables after they were used.

This BW hotel is almost finished its major renovations so a little patience is required but the staff are super friendly, generous with their time and the hot self-serve breakfast was more than ample. The location is conveniently just off the 77 / I40 Hwys, with all the major restaurants within a 5 mile radius.

Stopped for the night en route to Florida, and discovered the motel was under renovation. Turned out to be a plus because it was un-crowded, we got a brand new room and the ongoing construction wasn't a bother at all. Lobby and breakfast area were already renovated, and very nice. Staff seemed happy to see us--guess the construction was scaring people off.

Extremely helpful staff. Hotel was newly renovated so our rooms were clean but the sweeps hadn't been installed on the doors yet so I think debris was blowing under the door which presented us with a dirty floor when we first got our room but staff made it right quickly

Terrible odor and the air conditioner screeched loudly when turning on and off. Within a hour, I had a sore throat and headache, probably mold in the room! Someone needs to call the health department. The front office ladies were really nice, that's as much as I can say for the place.

The entire hotel is under construction, which was not told to me until I arrived for check in. The room was filthy. I will say the bed was comfortable, but the blankets were full of cigarette burn holes. Overall, pretty unpleasant.

Stayed here to sleep after 12 hrs of driving with 12 more to go. Area surrounding property looks a bit like a construction site but that is not the reason for the 2 star. The guests on 2nd floor partying all night outside their room, multiple cars driving thru parking lot with music blaring at 3 am, doors slamming all night, people arguing above us, etc. Then the room-As soon as u open door u r greets with the smell of old cigarette smoke, hairs in shower, used plastic cup under bed, etc. I didn't feel brave enough to inspect the sheets so I took an old blanket and a pillow from my car and slept on that.

Staff were helpful, but could not give me the guaranteed rate I received on confirmation? Lots of construction. Room was barely clean. I've stayed in $75 per nite hotels that were way cleaner and nicer than this one. Have been a Choice Hotel member for years, but after this room, and the next I will not stay at one again.

Hotel was average , but Beth and the staff made our visit very pleasant, we were travelling with a dog and they were very good .....Great pet friendly hotel, Rooms are older but clean I did notice they were renovating to upgrade the rooms.....

Several safety hazards, construction right in front of door. Mattress very dirty. Car roped into construction zone twice and had to move the tape ourselves to leave. Toilet broken and ran continuously.

We will NEVER stay at this hotel again. The room smelled horribly! We had to ask for a different room. The second roomed smelled as well but not as badly. The hotel needs a deep cleaning. The only thing on the positive side was the girl who checked us in. She was kind.

We were told children stay free but during our first night we were given 30 mins to leave due to having kids with us which left us 5 hrs stranded with our kids and no where to go no care sympathy or anything after room was paid in full not to mention they are renovating and didn't notify the guests until we arrived the website doesn't list it nor are their any signs up to give you a choice to stay here or not it is pet friendly but all their rooms allow pets not sperated at all for those that don't have pets even though they asked upon booking do you have pets or not as though it would make a difference it didn't besides the cost they charge more to your room Very horrible services here and I will never give business to you and will be notifying a lawyer for the discrimination and false advertising

We arrived not having a reservation the staff was very helpful they had rooms available. Very friendly staff pool was open, breakfast was good hot food sausage gravy waffles. Bed's are comfortable. Pool is out side was raining when we got there so didn't use the pool

A Hotel Chain that I trust for a those quick overnight stays. This was just that. It had friendly staff and the lobby and guest room were very neat and clean. Breakfast was available, but I didn't participate (sleep through it). Easy to locate off I-77.

I stayed for 2 nights. The hotel staff from the get go was very helpful and friendly. We arrived earlier then check in time and they were good with that. Rooms were clean, pool was excellent, will be back.

Clean beds, sheets, and towels, complete breakfast with hot food, friendly helpful staff. Handicapped room was great. Pets allowed. Stay here on our trip from Buffalo to Florida both ways. Have done it for years,

If you are staying in this area, be aware of the EXTENSIVE highway work being done. I know from personal experience that some of the motels are in the middle of this and getting to them and in and out is a nightmare particularly after a long day of driving. Fortunately this BW is NOT in the work area and it is very easy to get to. It was very clean, quiet, friendly, and there was no issue having my trusted dog companion with me! Just a heads up if you have a dog and want to walk them, if you drive down Morland about a 1/4 mile there is an RV place that has a lot empty land around it. It is PERFECT to walk your dog in both directions.

The check in guy was very unfriendly,the check out girl the same. The room key was not working until I found out you had to turn the handle up instead of down to open the door,next the rubber baseboard beside the door was loose and coming away from the wall and there was a hole behind it. The rug was so filthy that the bottom of your socks or feet turned black when you walked on it and it felt dirty looked dirty. The floor in the wash basin area was filthy black and when you walked on it your feet stuck to the floor and the floor in the toilet was also very black and you stuck to that floor as well, we took a white face cloth and tried to wash it and the face cloth turned completely black with dirt, that floor had not been cleaned for a very very long time, it was totally disgusting and in the corner behind the toilet there was so much dirt that we could pick it up with a plastic spoon. Then comes the heater air conditioner, it was so noisy that you could not have it on because of the loud noise, so it was a very cold night to try and sleep. The entire stay was terrible. I do not know what happened to that place we used to stay there all the time and was all-right. It needs upkeep or something. I normally do not do this but in this case I had to, it was disgustingly dirty.

After 10 hours, we found comfort and relaxation. Husband jumped on the internet and I watched tv. Nice selection. Love the free meal in the morning. The staff was most hospitable both at check in and check out.

The room was dirty bathroom floor. Poor showerhead little pressure.. Very lillte choice food. It was very disappointing. Poor experience will not return to this hotel. BW at Rock Hill was good experience.

Needed a one-night stop after driving 8 hrs. before driving another 8. Motel was good. Pulled car right up to room which was convenient. Room was clean. Bathroom facilities in good working order. Finally a good "heating/cooling" system in a motel. It served our purpose. Was a little pricy in my opinion for a motel, but all was good. Breakfast in the morning had a decent variety to get the day started and at no extra charge. Would stay there again.

Like the title says, when we went to our room there was a strong cigarette odor so I imagine the previous guest was smoking in there. I couldn't tolerate the smell so I went to the front desk and the clerk graciously put us in another room that was perfect. It's not Best Western's fault that guests break the rules and I don't blame them for this incident. In the second room the batteries in the TV remote were dead but I didn't bother telling them because we were too tired to watch TV anyway.

When we checked in the woman who helped us was very nice. When we walked into our room I was creeped out by how gross it smelled and looked. There was hair on the toilet and a dead bug on the counter. There was rust and dirt everywhere.

Clean facilities and friendly staff. Very good for our WV Missions trip that met our needs for rest and a quick breakfast so to get on the road early the next morning before the traffic was too heavy!

Very nice front desk personnel. Very Clean but rooms could use more updating which gave a less than perfect appearance. Was passing through and relied on brand that I knew. Price was right and the location was fairly convenient off of the interstate.

I didn't even stay. After being moved to a different room. (the first room was disgusting) I contacted the front desk about the cable TV not working. They said that they would have it looked at the following day. I reminded them that I was leaving early the next morning. She said that there wasn't anyone on property to repair it. I then asked to be refunded and I would move on to another Hotel. She said no, and that I would have to wait until check-out to discuss it. I then stated the obvious. That would not do me any good. She then got irate and hung up on me

Staff was super helpful and friendly. Rooms in need of a makeover but are in the process of being updated. I would definitely stay here again. Professional and friendly staff and hot breakfast. Great value for the money. Beth went above and beyond to make sure that my family including my 86 year old mother were taken care of. See you all again soon!

Heading home after a week on the Outer Banks, traveling with our 2 labs, we stopped for the night before journeying on. We had made reservations in July, and asked for a ground level room, away from activity, as pups get vocal over unaccustomed noises. This hotel has a layout that is absolutely PERFECT for pets! It's a separate hallway area, with outside door that opens to pet area! Impressive!! The breakfast the following morning was very much appreciated as the last hotel where we stayed, advertised breakfast, but there wasn't any. The food at BW was good, and sufficiently warm. Staff was exceptional, very helpful and friendly. One gentleman at checkout was a bit hard to understand but we survived. One complaint was the only vending machine with Diet Coke was out-of-order. Also, someone had parked in the handicap accessible area, and we were barely able to enter our vehicle in order to move it to a place to load our belongings. That wasn't the fault of the hotel, although I did see the checkout employee in an area where he had to be aware of the inconsiderateness or stupidity of the offender. All in all, this was one of the best, most accommodating hotels we've visited in a long time. A bit hard to get to given all the construction in the area, but so worth it.

The first room we were put in was horrible..dirty, smelled and was disgusting. We had a small emotional support dog with us so I assume it was the "pet friendly" room that was the cause. They moved us to another room and it was okay. The room was clean but this is an older hotel that was remodeled and you could tell. Beds were comfy and the breakfast was good. The woman who worked the breakfast was awesome! She went out of her way to make sure all the guests were happy and had everything they wanted. She kept everything stocked, clean and full. She told everyone to come back and see her...She made the stay worthwhile!

We had an aging stay at this place the staff made it so easy to check in and out and they were very accommodating.. they have hot breakfast included with your stay which made it so much easier for my kids and myself to continue our trip to Disney!! Beth really was amazing and so nice she helped me out the entire morning as well and with my kids !! ❤ we really appreciated her and she was very welcoming thank you Beth!

The rooms themselves are a little rough around the edges and could definitely use some refurbishment, but overall my experience at this hotel was good. The cleaning staff made sure I was well looked after, and a huge special thank you goes to Beth, who is in charge of breakfast. She was friendly and greeted every single guest who came for breakfast all of the four mornings of my stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and she did everything in her power to make sure guests had a great start to the day. I also love that the hotel is dog friendly, even though I didn't have my dog with me on this occasion.

When I called to ask for upgrade as Diamond Select, they said there was none available. I could clearly see on my phone that there were suites available. When I did check in, I had to show them on my phone that they had suites. They did upgrade me. But the fact that they were not truthful, set the tone for the entire visit. Also there was considerable noise above our room at 3 am and there were a lot of motorcycles coming and going with lots of noise. We would choose another hotel next time, even if we have to pay more.

We arrived and were warmly greeted with a smile, check in was a breeze. She gave us good guidance on how to get to our room, which was clean and comfortable. Very quiet, we had a good night's rest. Will definitely stay here on our next trip !

I recently was traveling from the Northeast returning to Florida. My wife and I stopped at the Best Western Statesville Inn, North Carolina. I asked for a non-smoking room and one where no pets were allowed. Upon entering the room it reeked of cigarette smoke so I returned to the check-in clerk and informed her someone had recently smoked in this non-smoking room. The clerk was very courteous and apologetic but stated there are no other rooms available to accommodate us. Being travel weary from driving 13 hours on the road we accepted the room. Still it smelled awful.

This was the greatest place to stay. We love Best Western because you take dogs. Our room was immaculate, the service was great. Our king size bed was most comfortable, the bathroom was very clean. I couldn't complain about anything. We will always stay here.

My friends and I came down for a vacation and we asked for some help and this kind worker named Beth was so polite and graceful when helping us. She thoroughly helped us find our rooms and showed us around and was so kind and funny. I wish there were more people like this out here in this world. We will definitely be coming back again soon and for a longer stay. Thank you for the graceful stay!

The facility was clean inside and out. The buildings outside lighting is very appealing. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. HBO was available which was nice to watch a movie after driving all day. Complimentary breakfast was great. All the staff was wonderful, especially Beth.

I've stayed here a few times now and have always been pleased. The front desk staff has always been wonderful and helpful. Some of the rooms are showing some age but they've been clean and the beds comfortable.

We had a great visit to Statesville and Beth was our hostess for morning breakfasts and she was amazing! So friendly, hospitable, helpful, and welcoming. She makes us want to come back!! It was a wonderful time. Thanks Beth!!

Stayed here coming home from Florida. Perfect half way point driving back to PA. Room was newly remolded and clean. The free breakfast was great, thanks to Beth for keeping everything refilled and being kind to everyone. Check in was quick and the young lady who worked in the evening was kind enough to give us dinner suggestions.

Had 2 adjoining rooms, 1 reeked of cigarette smoke which my wife is allergic to. Were told we could not switch to a different set of adjoining rooms even though they had some available. Found a couple fleas on one dog afterwards. Cobwebs in corners. Just not very clean feeling over all. Ended up leaving around 2am because neither of us could sleep, and when we went to the front desk, there was no one there. After waiting a bit, just left the key cards on the desk and hoped for the best.

Very accommodating, my son and I were on our way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and we needed to stop midway... we traveled up from Florida. The check in was fast and easy, as well as the check out. Unfortunately, we overslept and missed the breakfast.

We paid extra for our dog and the room smelled like dog. The carpet was extremely dirty. The pool was closed and the property needed cleaned up. The sheets were clean. There was a refrigerator and microwave in room. The AC worked. The room was not inexpensive and thought it being a Best Western it should have been nicer.

We arrived very late and was immediately concerned when the night desk auditor asked me to wait until she waited on another customer who arrived after me. When the customer declined the room and asked for an upgrade the red flags started to show up. I was then asked if I had a reservation, which I did, then asked for my ID; never asking me for my name. She then said that she would inspect the room with me. When my wife went in, she said that the room smells very bad, when I informed the staff, too bad you accepted the room. On further investigation, the floor was soaked with water from the a/c. It was terrible. The only redeeming part was the breakfast; the staff member tending to the breakfast was excellent. The only reason I did not rate this a 1 was because of her efforts. If staying here, check your room before accepting; for us, we'll look elsewhere.

The room was spacious. Nothing fancy. It was at a decent price. And it was quiet which means a lot. I will say it had a great TV cable. The only complaint I had was I felt the AC control didn't work properly. It didn't matter if I set it to 66 or 76... it stayed the same temperature (which to be honest was a nice, cool temperature for sleeping). I would stay again if I get a chance.

I am a Best Western aficionado. I travel all over the country and always stay at BW's. This property was extremely disappointing. For the second time we were placed in a room in a closed indoor/outdoor hallway. Very very smokey and we were in a non-smoking room. The place just reaked of cigarettes. The air conditioning unit was very noisy at night and I couldn't believe how noisy the neighbors were...so disrespectful. It also sounded like someone close was working out with barbell weights, for every 10 to 15 minutes or so someone was slamming them down on the floor, and we were on the second floor. Breakfast was not that good and the coffee was terrible. Property needed a lot of cleaning. Full bags of trash were all about the property. The staff was nice but the experience was not good. Never staying there again.

We had a wonderful experience at this location. The curb appeal is pleasing. The lobby area is clean and well decorated. Lubbie was very great to work with in our check in process. Our room was clean and spacious. The continental breakfast was tasty with lots of options. Beth was very friendly and kept everything well stocked! For the price, we were very pleased with the condition of this motel and the service we received. Exceeded our expectations!

My room smelled like it used to be a smoking room, there were holes in the walls, bugs on the floor in the sink area, tile falling off the wall behind the toilet, the floors in the entry were filthy, tub floor was dirty, there was someone's hair and something dirty stuck to the shower walls, no shampoo in the little bottle provided, etc. This was absolutely gross and if my dog hadn't passed out right away after being worked up from the trip, I would have grabbed my bag and left immediately. I stayed so she could rest but I didn't sleep that night. Not like the guy outside my room on the phone talking and laughing would have helped me sleep anyway. I called the office twice about it but the young lady said she wasn't sure what to do because he was a large man and she didn't want to upset him. I said call the cops...isn't that obvious? In the morning when I let her know about how dirty the room was, she just said sorry. She offered a breakfast grab bag but there's no way I would trust their kitchen to be clean and I didn't take one. I was so happy to get out of there.

Wonderful clean room. Beds very comfortable. Room is spaceish. Great grab and go breakfast by beth and Kaylin. Also great check in and out details by the girl last night. Anyone in NC stop on by. Also the ac cooled the room with in a few minutes. This is on my plans next time in NC.

I had a wonderful experience. The front desk help was extremely helpful with my needs and made sure my check-in went smoothly. The lobby was in excellent condition. My room was in very nice condition as well. Overall good experience.

After dealing with a broken sink for our entire stay. We found a used drug pipe in our room that I was sharing with my TWO KIDS. Never have I ever dealt with this type of when I tried to report it to the front desk they wouldn't even come to the desk.

The hotel was a little tired but the room was clean and quiet.Easy access off the freeway. Based on the price we could not expect any more. There was some renovation going on which did not affect us so maybe they are doing some upgrading. We would stay here again.

Mildew on our shower curtain; towels were damp. Guest Services rep was young and was unable to give advice on where we could get a meal. We went to bed without dinner. No food available the next morning. Grab and Go was never delivered to the hotel.

I know you get what you pay for but here's our overall experience. We experienced a broken inside handle of the exterior door, which caused our family to be locked inside but my husband outside after running to the car. They moved us rooms. Both rooms were not thoroughly cleaned, which during a pandemic one would think it would be cleaned above and beyond normal standards. Not the case. They didn't have sheets for the pull out couch and the one we were given had a huge ink stain/markings. Rude front desk - they just bunched up and handed us the sheets and blanket. Upon check in it was as if I rudely interrupted her. New room smelled like cigarettes. They had an air freshener trying to mask the smell and that combination was terrible. Overall, not a good experience.

I will not be returning to a best western ever again. It was absolutely disgusting. There was marijuana in my room, juice boxes, popsicle sticks, stains everywhere. I was supposed to be charged $82 a night because we did the multi night discount. However, since our room was so disgusting we left the first night. The manager said “I gave you a discount” so I ended up paying $84 after taxes. So the exact same price for a filthy room. The discount he gave was the multi night discount to keep us on that rate. Also, when I told him about the marijuana in our room he said “but you're in a non smoking room”. The manager did not care what so ever. My parents were also in another room that was disgusting.

Dirty with toothpaste on counter, moved to another room smelling highly of smoke when we requested non-smoking, air was hot and ac not at all consistent (hot and cold), bed springs making all kinds of noise, kids and drunken young people carrying on running up and down second level and yelling, beds too small

I would not stay here again. Illegal activity going on in the parking lot throughout the night. I felt very unsafe. Also checked in using a free voucher through the membership program. Since I didn't print the voucher(which I was not instructed to) the receptionist wouldn't or didn't know how to use my emailed version of the voucher. Had to straighten it out the next morning with the hotel manager.

Traveling alone during the pandemic, I appreciated that the rooms were very clean. I also like the ability to back your car up to your room to unload. One of the best things I like about the hotel is the fact that it is quiet. There isn't any outside noise from outside once you are in your room. Will definitely stay again. The staff was very friendly, too.

Lobby is very nice however, the rooms are not. Management needs to work with their housekeeping staff. There was food on the table in the room. Fingerprints on the stand that the tv sits on and no cover on the remote. I used clorox wipes to wipe down the table and any surfaces we would potentially touch...it was disgusting. This Best Western is not practicing good housekeeping let alone taking any extra measures to ensure safety during a pandemic.

just a heads-up...after driving through 4 states, we reserved a room most of the way to our holiday destination. with 10 hours of driving behind us, it was hoped that a few hours of sleep would set us up to complete the trip. check-in was fine...lugged baggage up exterior stairs to the assigned room...wife took the time to carefully clean common surfaces in this covid-world...and when addressing the handle on the toilet...IT FELL OFF. lifted the back of the toilet...NO WATER IN THE TANK. it is midnight, and we have a non-working toilet. desk staff assigned a different room...but all the deep cleaning was awash, and we had to lug all of the luggage to a new (nearby) location. not exactly what was hoped for in a BW, and i certainly cannot recommend this hotel.

the experience staying here was fairly good considering how everything is in an uproar over covid-19. It was not the same as per covid-19. The room was clean and comfortable. Able to have a good night's sleep.

This was not the newest of properties but it was clean and convenient. We traveled during the Covid-19 outbreak and I am sure that the staff did all they could do to make our stay as good as it could be.

Stopped here on my way home from Florida during the Covid-19 pandemic. I was traveling alone so my husband called from Canada to make sure there was a room available. Cassie and Beth were are at the front desk and made the check in quick and easy. They were friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable, clean and easy to access. When I left the next morning, Beth remembered me from the night before, and made sure that I got my breakfast bag, yogurt and utensils and wished me safe travels. When I travel through this area again, I would stay here.

Checked the reviews on trip advisor before I booked the room and everything was as told by others. The room was clean and breakfast was good. It is not a resort hotel but a nice place to stay if you need a clean room. If I am driving through the area again and it fits my drive time I will stay again.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The lobby and room was very clean and ahad an inviting atmosphere. There was plenty of parking space for our truck and trailer. I would most certainly recommend this hotel.

Good basic hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good wi-fi. Reasonable breakfast selection. Quick check-in check-out. Outback Steakhouse and Village Inn Pizza buffet only a five minute drive away. Family probably should choose the Pizza place it is very good and economical $$

BW in Statesville NC is a good place for to stop on our south. Easy to get to right off of 77, clean, good breakfast and coffee, feels safe, well lit, pet friendly, good restaurant across the road, gas station next door.

I will never stay here again, I stay at Best Westerns usually 4 nights a week . And this was the worst stay ever. I asked for a nonsmokers room, as soon as I opened the door to the room the smell was unbelievable. I was extremely tired so I stayed. But never again, and about 9pm a noise started and lasted till I left.

Great location. Clean rooms, Comfortable beds. NOT recognized as a DIAMOND member during check in (EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED). Overall good experience.... Grounds and hotels were well kept. Parking lot was well lit.

Stayed here on two separate nights a week apart. Rooms were clean and adequately furnished. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. We have had good luck with Best Westerns over the years.

I've stayed at this hotel on a few occasions in the past three years. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The outside of the building and grounds are well maintained. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the continental breakfast that is offered is exceptional.

Great hotel if you are traveling with your dog(s). Otherwise stay away! Large dogs everywhere! Along with the barking and the howling that go with it. The front desk staff tried best to find us a quiet corner ; But I wouldn't risk it the next time.

The check in was fast and pleasant. The room was clean, the linen and towels were clean. The staff was very pleasant. The area was quite at night for a restful sleep. Location easy access from the interstate.

The staff in the morning were great to help make our breakfast the best we could have. She personally helped my mother in law make her waffle and helped my youngest make his breakfast. I always have success at BW but the breakfast staff here surprised even myself.

Pet friendly and easily accessible, great location right off highway. Have stayed before and will stay again on long drive home from Florida. Very friendly staff and room was basic, but offered us what we needed , providing a pull-out bed for our third family member. Price was good.

We have found a home away from home in Best Western Statesville. We enjoy the spacious room, facilities and breakfast. While visiting our daughter and grandchildren this Best Western is convenient and has a great pool for summertime swimming with the kids.

My room door was propped open when I arrived, and the toilet seat was up. After checking with the front desk, I decided to stay anyway, as I had been driving 12 hours, most of it in rain, and the room appeared clean. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, though, and the A/C unit directed all of the cold air into the drapes over the window. It was a long trek from my car to the room, and there was no luggage cart available, so I had to make 4 trips. I had looked forward to breakfast. If I had wanted sugary treats, it would have been fine, but I wanted something more substantial -- eggs. They were terrible (powdered?). One very bright spot: I had left a keyboard behind in my room, and a maid came running after me with the keyboard in hand. I hope she's treated as well as she treats the inn's guests. I left her a generous tip. I made a reservation at this place because the cost was about $40 under what I usually spend, and I thought: How bad can it be? I've stayed before at very nice Best Western hotels. Well, lesson learned. A good night's sleep, a luggage cart, and a good breakfast are worth an extra $40.

Clean modern look with out side entrance to the rooms off o f a interior court yard like parking lot. Good location just off the highway. This will be my last review on TripAdvisor as they don't like short and to the point reviews.

Great place if you want a pet friendly hotel at a reasonable price. Breakfast could start earlier than 6:30 since we are long gone by then. Otherwise no issues. Waffle House is next door. Hardee's is across the street.

This is an older hotel with outside entrances however, I felt really safe staying here. Rooms are a good size and have been somewhat updated. Beds are comfortable. The front desk and breakfast staff are very pleasant.

We were traveling from PA to SC and wanted a clean hotel that was reasonably priced. We couldn't have asked for a better deal. We had gotten got off at another exit and the prices were ridiculous and some of the places looked very shoddy. I looked at at this one on Trip Advisor. I saw it had a good price and good reviews. My husband and I were both very impressed. For $80 a night including tax, it was top notch. It was very clean, the room had a frig and a microwave. Breakfast was included. Highly recommend!

I always stay at Best Westerns Hotels. I was traveling from Pittsburgh to Florida and the hotel was right off route 77 south north of Charlolette NC Great breakfast and safe clean place to stay. Pet friendly

Great price, CLEAN, free hot breakfast, caring, attentive staff. Convenient location to downtown Statesville especially during Full Bloom Film Festival. Breakfast attendant is extremely friendly and perky.

First off they had no record of our booking. Fortunately we had the paperwork. The person at the front desk was more concerned about how this glitch could have happened and not checking us in. Walked in the room and was smacked in the face with the smell of dog. The curtains were messed up and I couldn't correct so people couldn't see in (looked like a crack house). This was the dirtiest room I ever booked. Crud in the corners of the room. The room btw was 119. The bottoms of my feet were dirty from walking on the floor. Wore my sandals the rest of the stay. Carpet and bathroom floors were disgusting. There wasn't a place to eat except a Mexican restaurant down the street and that was well another story. The Ramada next door had a bar but wasn't open. This was exit 49B in Statevilles. Go exit B and stay overnight there. I'm sure this review won't make it to the site.

We had to evacuate with our dog, and I searched for a dog friendly hotel on our route North. I called directly to this hotel and was reserved a room during a chaotic 3 days for us. It was a pleasure having a roomy, clean, king sized bed, guest room---- waiting for us to decompress in. Also having a microwave made an easy room service meal from our 2 coolers we dragged inside. We slept in safety and comfort.

Recently refurbished rooms, pool on site. Clean, just off highway, food and fuel amenities near by. Full service restaurant across from hotel. On Sunday morning not all local service open early. Some other guests stayed up late, 2am talking outside, not threatening, but annoying.

We arrived much later than planned. Had called and told them. They gave us an exceptional room. Then we slept well and do not eat sweets and restaurant right next door so breakfast easy. Right off I 77 and easy on to road

First time in this hotel & found the accommodations very good & hotel was attractive with well kept grounds.. Staff was available & helpful. A/C worked well, but was a tad noisy. Bed was a little too soft for my liking. No other issues.Breakfast was great- sausage, waffles, eggs, quality juice, etc. topped off with what tasted like home-made biscuits. We will be back in October.

We would like to say that the employee Latoya that works the continental breakfast is an exceptionally good worker. We had been to this location about a year ago and she was there then as well. Very nice breakfast and great service. A valuable employee. The room was clean and nice amenities. We were in a handicapped room but not for any impairment that we have, just that was the room available on booking. One comment that we feel should be addressed is when showering, the curtain is not good for the stand up shower. Water splashes all over the tile floor in the bathroom. Curtain is not long enough to contain the water so the water is everywhere when you are done. Could be a big hazard for someone and especially if you are handicapped. Enjoyed the outdoor pool they have it was nice and clean.

Staff and room very good. Breakfast could use a little help. Need a better kind of sausage for breakfast. But overall it is a pretty good place to stay. Will stay again. The rooms are very nice and motel has easy access.

Stayed here for a weekend staff was very pleasant, rooms were nice and clean! We had breakfast in the morning which was nice and quick. Upon check in the staff greeted us with a smile. I would definitely stay here again.

I am not sure why people have given this a 4 start. 1. Hotel is tired and OLD. Needs a total renovation. 2. Bed was lumpy, pillows old and small. For king size only 4 small pillows. 3. Room carpet old 4. Bathroom had chips in tub and floor was sticky as well as grout around tub was black. 5. Hall way carpet had stuff all over it. 6. Keys stopped working a couple times. Front desk just asked for room number no ID. Anyone could get keys to room. 7. Lobby doesn't open until 6:30 so could not get a cup of coffee as room coffee was terrible. 8. The lobby being locked was one thing but they kept door locked after hours and had to talk to some one thru teller window. ( as my keys stopped working twice) 9. Number 8 should have told me not to stay at hotel but tired from trip. This is by far the worst Best Western ever. 10. Go to different hotel maybe even different city. Hotel had lots of road noise and people in parking lot late at night. I actually worried about my truck.

Poor breakfast. Door key failed to open door several times requiring trips to front desk. I was charged for a free points stay that 3 days later has not been corrected. The mattress was past it's useful life.

My son and I spend several nights in this hotel. The rooms were clean and pleasant. However, the reception and the morning breakfast personnel were amazing!! Ms. Connie will move mountains to make sure your stay is great. Ms. Latoya (breakfast attendant) was amazing at keeping the breakfast area clean and food available at all times. Great place to stay!!

So..NO complaints..clean room, very, very quiet ( and it was a full house over the weekend), great rate, really great employees.

The staff was very helpful at the Best Western in Statesville NC. They continually went out of their way to accommodate me and help out when things went wrong. Whether it was checking in, reserving a hotel for the next night, or serving breakfast, the people at Best Western really did match or exceed my expectations.

We needed a place for the night and we saw this one and had stayed there before. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is hot; though I never saw sausage patties boiling in water before but...the total cos, with several types of taxes for two, was $100.

Hotel manager was very nice and helpful. Nice place to stay for a couple of days. All of the staff was also helpful. The hotel was clean inside and outside the property even with accepting pets there. Overall stay good.

Staff ensures your stay is enjoyable. Latoya puts out a good breakfast spread. Have stayed at this location multiple times and plan to do so in the future. Good location with easy off and on expressway.

Arrived late around 11:30 at night 2 desk clerks weren't friendly at all did service through a night window which made you feel unsafe. Parking lot crowded not much parking. Room was clean. Bed comfortable, but pillows need updating and throw are bed had dirty spots on it. Shower had good hot water and pressure. Toilets need replaced to low looked like for a toddler. Grout in bathroom floors need scrubbing. Spots on some areas of walls that need cleaning or touch up. Nice tv and channel selections. Plenty of outlets. Didn't experience breakfast. Overall ok for a night or 2.

Nice place to stop it was clean. The staff are very nice. Breakfast is hot but limited. Unfortunately only local restaurant was in a hotel across the street from hotel. Staff where very helpful in locating a restaurant near by.

We only stayed one night while traveling to ny. We've been to best westerns before that were much better than this place at the same cost. The grout in the bathroom floor was filthy not because the house keepers attention doing their job but because they need to be redone. The toilet is extremely low which makes it difficult for the elderly or larger folks.

It is an fordable and clean place to stay for short period time during family trip. The check-in and check-out is easy and fast. It also includes breakfast which help my family to have easy morning. We will stay with best western next time for sure.

It was clean but dated motel. Didn't realize it was outside entrance when I booked it, not our favorite. Didn't feel unsafe or anything just prefer being in an enclosed hotel. Breakfast was hot, could have used to be filled again. Friendly staff.

We were greeted by the Desk Customer Service person quickly and efficiently. The room was clean and tidy with a King sized bed, quite roomy. The breakfast provided was excellent with an array of food for all tastes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed at this location while getting my son settled in Mooresville for school. Friendly staff, clean rooms, great breakfast options and great location. Only recommendation is new beds, our beds had seen their better days. One was hard as a rock but then the other, you'd roll right to the middle and get stuck. Would stay here again when visiting my son.

Located 30 minutes north of Charlotte this property is clean and well maintained. The rates are reasonable, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is varied and plentiful. Bed and pillows are comfortable and we always get a good night's sleep. This is our go to half way stop on our way to Florida. We have used this property for nearly ten years and will continue to do so.

The room was clean, comfortable, and large but the walls were pretty bare. It was right off 77 so it was a good location. It had a large tv with good channel choices. The breakfast was ok with the standard fare for best western motels.

All the rooms have external doors but some are in an alcove, so not visible from the parking lot. Our room was clean and on the ground floor, as requested. It is a good location with easy access to I-77. The breakfast had a good selection of hot & cold items and was somewhat different each day. Dogs are permitted for a nominal fee. It was quiet during our stay. The staff were helpful.

Great place to stay. friendly staff and very clean. Great breakfast and the internet was fast, no hic-ups. easy acces to get there with plenty of parking. Nice sitting area in the lobby with a fire place.

I typically enjoy staying at Best Western Hotels when I travel. I feel they offer great value at affordable prices. I also really enjoy their waffles in the morning (you got to try them!). On this particular stay, the hotel appeared very nice and clean. Our room was clean, but there was a smell we couldn't quite pick out. The only thing we could come up with is that is was a former smoking room that was changed to non-smoking. Everything in the room worked and was clean, there was just a odor we couldn't get rid of in the room. In hindsight I should have asked to switch rooms, but had been on the road all day and wanted to get some sleep. If passing through Statesville again I would stay at this hotel due to the value, staff, and location.

We stayed here with our dog for one night on the way to Florida. We had room 106, which is closest to the door to the dog walking area, which was convenient. Pet fee is $20. The building is close to I-77 with the parking lot surrounded by the motel on two sides, which feels very secure and safe. The breakfast was good with fresh fruit and hot foods. It was raining all day when we arrived and there were pools of water on the sidewalk just in front of the hallway by vending machines that led to our room. My shoes were wet and I slipped and fell hard on the tile. The “slippery when wet” sign had been folded up, leaning against the wall. Staff was very concerned and gave me a bag of ice for the huge bruise on my forearm. The TV remote did not work and we were given a new one right away. Our room was clean, but the blanket had a large burn hole (non-smoking room?!) and the top sheet had a very dark but faded stain in the middle that we did not notice until bedtime. The fitness center is right next to 106, so it was quiet, but the door to the outside closes loudly, which was noticeable. Most weird was that there is one window which faces the hallway... no view to the outside world. We noticed this right away, but were too tired to ask for a different room. (Room 107 looked like it may have had a window facing outside and is farther from the banging door.) It's a short drive to downtown Statesville where we looked forward to dinner @ The Twisted Oak, but it was still closed for New Year's. Instead we ate at the excellent Risotto Place, adjacent to the same parking lot. On the way back to the BW, we noticed the Ramada Inn had an in-house bar and restaurant, so we stopped. We were delighted to discover that they are also PET FRIENDLY with a lower rate and the same pet fee. We were told by Ramada guests that the food is great and rooms newly remodeled. We will stay @ the Ramada next time.

We stayed here one nite on way back to PA and we were very happy with everything. Room was very clean and staff was great. Included breakfast was very good. Will book here again next time thru the area.

I stayed at this hotel 6 months ago and then this past week. This time the room was so very nice and like new. It was okay last time, but not updated like this one. We stayed here with our 3 lbs Chihuahua. The staff was very professional. The breakfast was adequate. Not anything fancy but great when you are traveling and need to get on the road. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Nice bathroom and shower.

But the room was fine. The only issue was a toilet that had a slow trickle of water running continuously, but quietly. No issues of concern. The clerk was friendly and helpful. There seemed to be a large group of teenagers partying on the second floor, but did not really hear any excessive noise.

I had a king suite with plenty of room. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Although it had modern décor the sheer drapes look like they need to be replaced. The location was close to I77 and convenient.

We stayed at this Best Western on our way to Charleston SC. It was an excellent choice! Very comfortable bed and pillows, clean room, courteous staff that goes out of their way to accommodate. They allow a dog, which is always our first search criteria, and are very pet friendly.

I've stayed at many Best Westerns throughout the United States. They are all different. This Best Western was literally 5 minutes off the highway. Check in time is 3:00 but they allowed us in our room at 1:00. Very very clean. Management treated us very well. A full breakfast is offered for 3 hours from 6:30am-9:30am. Very reasonabl in price. We got 10% offf the nightly rate because we are signed up in a Best Western program. A great stay!

We stopped at this hotel on our way back home due to the evacuation of south carolina for hurricane florence. Great customer service especially when eating breakfast. The woman working that area was exceptionally slconscious of providing great customer service. The rooms were also clean and welcoming.

On a long road trip from Florida we decided to quickly book something in Statesville as it was a good location to stop for the night. We did the booking with travel points and hit the road. By the time we got to the hotel it was 11:00 at night. Was told by the front desk that the only room that was available was a smoking room. First that was not what I booked and received a confirmation for and two, would I book a smoking room with kids? No. The front desk blamed the travel points company and did little else to help. We'll kiss those points away. Found a much nicer place within walking distance that was a significant upgrade for only a few dollars more. Was a saving grace as after viewing the room and the other reviews I am glad we did not end up staying here. Tip #1: make sure your tetanus shot is up to date. Tip #2: don't stay here - plenty of options within walking distance or a few minutes down the road.

This places was horrible from the minute we stepped in the door. After traveling over 10 hours from Florida we were exhausted. As soon as we arrived in the room there was w as water on the floor from the leaking toilet. It was about 1130pm at this time, so my husband tried to just tighten the hose because he was exhausted and didn't want to have to deal with having someone come and look at it. Once that was addressed we got ready to get in bed . In making the pull out couch for my kids, there were no sheets in the room for it. The mattress was disgusting and I had to walk back to front desk to get sheets and covers. Btly this time the kids (4 of them) and m husband and I were just ready for bed as we had an early morning the next day. As my husband and I got in bed we saw the dried blood stains on th sheets. I called the office and she offered new sheets but said I had to come and get them since no one else was in staff at night. So I did and changed the sheets and mtress cover on the bed myself. The next morning as we were trying to gtlet ready a cockroach crawled out of the socket. I have posted pictures of all of these issues. This was totally unacceptable. I did speak with the manager upon check out and showed the pictures and also have her the now dead cockroach. She did apologize, and she comp. the room. This was the worst place I have ever stayed at and will never visit again.

Okay for a one night stay when traveling. Needs a lot of updating in the room, mold in the bathroom. Room needs something to brighten it up. Pool was great. Breakfast was good, those waffles are always great .

Stop here before our last leg to Georgia, easy to find but not many restaurant at walking distance. Beautiful flowers tree all around, did'nt have time for the pool but saw some kids in there. Clean, quiet and good price, what else do you need.

I booked with best western because they have been reliable in the past. This one though felt more like a roadside motel. The room was tidy but could use a proper scrub down. The pool was not much desired and the breakfast was boring and basic. The staff was friendly and welcoming though.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Motel was a little off the main road and could make some travels somewhat uneasy. Breakfast was not as good as most Best western. Not the better of the Best Westerns we have stayed

Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. We had been on the road so we were very tired and glad to find this Hotel. The people at the desk, both on check-in and check-out were very helpful and very nice. Breakfast was very good.

We were forced to stay here since every other place was booked. Since I didn't make a reservation we had no choice. All my needs were met though and I guess I got what I paid for. Bed was terrible and pillows were worse. This place needs leveled and rebuilt.

We booked this last minute as we were driving through Statesville. The price was very economical so I was a little concerned about the quality, but It was convenient and clean. The bed was a too firm for my liking and I didn't find the pillows to be comfortable, but all in all it was a good value.

This was our first stopover at the Best Western Statesville Inn. We were very impressed with every thing, so it probably won't be the last. Each year we travel between Nova Scotia and South Carolina both directions and we enjoy the facilities at Best Westerns in general.

This Best Western is our stopping point on our trip to Pennsylvania. As usual the hotel was good and the staff very friendly. There were however, a few things that should have been done and weren't. First and foremost there was no safety mat in the bathtub. A very dangerous situation for anyone. Hopefully the staff will make sure when cleaning the bathroom to make sure that the mat is in the tub. I made our reservation on line for the first time and it WILL BE the last time I do that. We made a request for a first floor room that was not honored. Usually it wouldn't have bothered me but times have changed. My husband and I are not able to manage the stairs too well, hence the need for a first floor room. Will I use this avenue to reserve a room again, no thank you. Will I continue to reserve a room at the Best Western yes but this time it will be done with the front desk.

Good hotel. We travel with 2 cats so we don't get the nicest rooms but this one was good. Everything had been updated fairly recently so it had a nice feel to it. The room was quiet even though the hotel seemed packed.

While the photos don't seem to show it, the place has the feel of a "motor lodge" vs a hotel. While relatively clean, it certainly wasn't spotless - brown spots existed on the ceilings, the walls and bathroom shower. The beds were very basic, mattresses seemed cheap. Breakfast was ok - definitely had better cheap, continental options at other chain hotels. Checking in through a locked door and plexiglass window gave the feel of the hotel being unsafe, even if that wasn't the case. Don't know if we were in a different part of the building, but the pictures don't look much like our room did. All in all, I think there are other, better, newer chain options in proximity that I would recommend.

when you are away from home, you never know what kind of accommodations you will get unless if you book a no name hotel but if you book a brand name hotel that you know has a good reputation, you are always happy

Our first choice was already booked so we chose to give the Best Western another shot, (last year, not to impressed). We stayed here mid way home from wintering in Florida. Conveniently located off the highway close to gas stations and convenience store. Price was good but would never book with HOTLINE again - price was 30.00 cheaper had we booked directly with the hotel. Friendly staff, clean room, (second floor - no smoking, no pets), nice towels, nice comfy bed and linens. Comp breakfast was good enough to get you fueled for the rest of the road trip home.

Great stop! Clean room and comfy bed. Good breakfast too. The price was fair and we like the location. Go downtown on Friday night and dance to quality music bands, eat delicious food. Downtown vibe luring us back! Thanks staff!

These were the Cleanest rooms, and had the friendliest staff of most of the hotels we stay in. Will be staying at Best Western instead of Hilton Hotels now. Price was great too. the breakfast was very good

This definitely isn't even close to the best hotel that I have ever stayed in, but on the flip side, it wasn't the worst either....so that's a plus. The first room that we were given was on the first floor, down a hallway that didn't face the outside parking lot. Walking down the hallway, the noise from the air conditioning units was so loud that it was unbearable. We thought "maybe it won't be as loud once we're in the room" and in fairness, it wasn't as loud. But the room was damp and the sheets on the bed had some stains on it that looked like blood. So we asked to be moved to a different room and we were. The second room was much better. It was clean and that was what was most important to me. However, walking down the hallway (this one was an outside facing room) we noticed at least two air conditioning units that were leaking water - one of them had a container under it to catch the leak. Not the end of the world, but it was very obvious that the hotel has some maintenance issues that need to be taken care of. As for our room, it was clean but the bathroom looked pretty beat up - some chipped tiles, and the shower head was loose. We stayed for a few nights and for what we paid, I guess I can't say that we didn't get what we paid for. The price was right for what we got. I would have preferred to stay at a hotel that didn't appear to be so run down, but since we didn't spend all of our time in the room, it wasn't that awful. We would potentially stay again as long as the price remains low enough to make it worth our while.

I usually am happy with Best Western hotels, but this one was not very good. It took me a long time to fall asleep because the showers from the room above us were so noisy, it seemed like it was in our room. It seemed like the shower was running 6 times between 11:30pm and 1 am. The people showering is not the fault of the hotel, but the piping system was so noisy. Also, when people walked overhead, it was like they were jumping. It seems like this used to be a very old motel, and Best Western just tried to update it some. I am glad the blankets were covered with a sheet, but the blanket itself seemed to be from the 70's. Ugly color and many pills/ lint balls. Also, the sleeper sofa, which was used for our daughter, did not have a mattress cover on it, which I think is very unhygenic. As for the "hot breakfast" choices, there were scrambled eggs and sausage patties, which I think were just boxed and reheated in the microwave. The one good thing is otherwise, the room seemed to be clean.

The first thing. We made reservations before time for a room with a king size bed and when we arrived that all changed to a room with two twin size beds. Which we paid for the king size room. Also the price when I made reservations was $20.00 cheaper then when we got there. The room was filthy. The toilet stayed running all night. Outside cigarette butts and dog poop all over. The lady that was working was unpleasant and always outside smoking. Recommend not to stay there.

We stopped at this hotel on our trip back to ny. Although we had reservations and wanted nonsmoking room we were told that the third party booking company (located in Spain) automatically reserves a smoking room . We never reserved a smoking ,since we are non smokers. We ended up with a nonsmoking room on the first floor. Although the room was clean the heating system was super noisy every time it kicked on , and my husband did not get any rest. The restaurant is average. The waffle mix was so thin that the waffles came out soft and not done in the middle. We will not be returning!

My Husband and I stay at Best Westerns only, so we stopped at Statesville NC BW on our way to Knoxville, when we arrived we waited 5 minutes after ringing the bell before anyone came to the desk, we checked in and went to the room, room 207, at first glance the room was nice, but looked nice was it, the bathroom needs to be updated, the walls were so thin, I actually could hear a man urinating in the room next.to us, when we turned down the covers to get into bed around 10pm there was a BLOOD stain in the middle of the sheet, we called the front desk and she said she can't leave to bring us a new one, but remember it took her 5 minutes to even get to the desk to check us in, we were already in our night clothes and had to get dressed and go get it ourselves, no apology at all, very disgusting!! The bed was VERY hard, so it wasn't a good night's sleep. When I checked out in the morning, the lady asked me was everything ok, I said absolutely not, I told her about the blood and she just said I'm sorry, no discounted rate, nothing. We will NEVER set foot in this hotel again!! P. S. The clean sheet was from the next morning to show it was still clean.

The front desk personnel were outstanding and very helpful. Im used to hotels where the room doors are inside, however this Best Western had outside doors. Not that it made a difference, I still felt safe and secure. The breakfast was your typical motel continental breakfast. It was plentiful and tasted pretty good. Close to the highway but didn't hear it in the room. I would stay here again.

We stayed here during the annual Balloon Festival due to the location of the hotel. It was a fairly close drive to the festival. When we arrived we had to wait several minutes to check in as the clerk was outside smoking. Other than that experience we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. This isn't a fancy hotel by any means, but the rooms are clean and updated. The hot breakfast was good in the mornings. There is no elevator to the second floor, so if steps are a problem, be sure to ask for a first floor room. The only problem we encountered is that this property is on the outskirts of town and there are very few dining choices in the area.

Carpets were dirty, hot water not working on arrival, but was fixed for the morning. Breakfast is average, not a big selling point. Outsides were clean/ok. Room was modern, except for carpets were dirty. Staff ok.

The front desk staff of 2 ladies went above and beyond my expectations. The check in process was speedy and complete. I then asked if they .Knew of a car wash as we had just driven from the north and all the snow, sleet etc. and our vehicle was incredibly dirty. She not only looked up car wash but printed out a list of directions to this car wash. Once again Above and Beyond. The breakfast room was large with very comforting seating and delicious breakfast foods were available. thanks to all the staff at B.W. Statesville N.C. for making our 1 night stay so very much enjoyable.

We have been staying at Statesville Best Western for many years. The service is maintained at a very high level and room upgrades are on a continuing basis. The staff are polite and always helpful. Love the gal who arranges a great complimentary hot/cold breakfast. Her personality gets everyone going for the travel day ahead. Lots of energy. Will continue to stay here as long as we travel.

Spent the night here with my wife and niece midway of my trip. We arrived late and were greeted by a nice staff person. Easy directions and parking for a pickup truck. Enjoyed a nice quiet night and awoke to hot shower and breakfast before check out. A very pleasant stay at this Hotel.

Great people, nice rooms, and a complete breakfast bar. The beds were NOT rock hard like some other places, so the wife was happy. This was just what a traveler hopes for. I also noticed the hotel is pet friendly, a nice touch for many that are snowbirds in Florida.

Sheets were dirty with grease stains. No secure corridors, open to anyone to walk right up to your door. No milk or cream for my coffee in lobby just a big jug of coffee mate. Had to drive two exits to find a restaurant acceptable to us that wasn't pizza etc. We ended up going to Ruby Tuesdays, exit 51.

Stayed here in 2008 and came back 2017. Hotel was comfortable both times and have maintained it's property. Rooms were clean and updated. Breakfast was good, area clean. Staff friendly and concerned we had a nice stay.

Pretty basic accommodations but adequate for what was required to get a good night's rest before getting on the road in the morning. Breakfast offering was pretty much what you would expect but decent enough to start the day.

The customer service was terrible. The room was dirty. Breakfast was mediocre. No acknowledgement of Best Western rewards status. Does not meet Best Western standards. There were other properties in the area to stay.

Pump soap dispenser glued onto the tub wall. No bars of soap to take a shower. Talk about cheap! Wow! Unskilled labor did remodeling. Smelly room. (We used a glade air freshener.) Employees had an attitude of they could care less if you were there or not.

This hotel was awful. The bathroom was disgusting. We were there for one night. My daughter went under the desk to pick something up that fell and came up with brown knees because the carpet was so filthy. Had this happened the night before, we would have demanded a refund and found another hotel.

At first I was uncomfortable with the room but when I looked around it was clean. Parking is tight if hotel is full. People use more than one space. Rooms darker than the pictures. Door warped and had to kick it to open. BUT, staff was very nice. Water supplied. Good HOT coffee. Must be alert in finding the street. Sign very small. If at night very hard to see. Should note: If you hit the Waffle house you missed the turn.

Where are all the children coming from who play football in the parking lot til late PM? I believe they live there. After traveling for 13 hours straight, I really need PEAC AND QUIET. Other than that one complaint, all else was very good.

The location of this hotel works for us, on our way to Florida. We love the fact that we can drive up to the hotel room. We make a lot of trips back and forth from the room to the car and it is easier than going up stairs or an elevator. We also, for the first time in this hotel, got a sofa in the room. This is so much nicer than sitting on the bed to watch the TV.

Great Hotel Experience for an overnight stay for family wedding, Room was very clean and AC worked very well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone considering a booking at this establishment.

We stay at this Best Western 3 times a year on our way to West Virginia. We have been staying there for at least the last 3 years. Very clean motel with a very courteous staff and a great breakfast! Would highly recommend it!

Decent room...just dark location to see from the road..brekfast was ok...Room has some issue with sink & commode..Other than that everything was ok..Would stay agian just neeed to repair smaill issues within the room

My husband and I had been on the road, and were just too tired to continue driving. We just pulled off on an exit, and asked for a room. Check in was a breeze, and the desk clerk was very nice. When we got to our room, I was very pleased. It was almost like a suite. It had a king bed, and an area with a sofa, coffee table and chair. There was mini fridge, and a microwave as well. The AC was also great. Our room was $85 dollars, and to me, it should have cost more! Next time we are in Statesville and need a room, we will definitely stay there.

This was a nice place to stop. They do accept pets which was very important to us as we were returning from being evacuated due to Hurricane Irma. Only downside was when we left early we ran into bumper to bumper traffic going to Charlotte.

We live in Ohio and this was 8 hrs. away and perfect for a great night sleepover. The room/bed was very comfortable. Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was pretty much the usual Best Western style. Very convenient off of I 77.

The room was good, good night sleep on king bed. Check in was easy and check out. The breakfast was best I have ever had. Hot eggs and sausage, 3 kinds of fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, breads, oatmeal, cereal, granola bars, etc. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Disgusting staff and disgusting room. Booked through their 800#, made sure it was an exterior room since I was travelling with dogs. Upon arrival, wasn't truly external room and when I mentioned that is not what I reserved, she said no rooms within 30-40 miles (running from Hurricane Irma). I didn't necessarily believe her, but since I couldn't access their complementary wifi, I wasn't able to check her claim (which was untrue, as there WERE pet friendly rooms available within 10 miles). When I found the cockroach in the room within a few minutes of settling in (about 10:30pm on 9/7/17), I threw my dogs in the car and locked the room key in the room in my frenzy. I went to the front desk for another key, which they were very slow in producing. I mentioned I found a cockroach in the room and would be checking out. No apology or acknowledgement. I returned to the room successfully two times to retrieve my belongings and the third time the key wouldn't work. I went back to the front desk and she began arguing with me that I had entered the room three times and it was working. I mentioned that it DIDN'T work the last time. The other desk person then threw the new key down. Again, no acknowledgement or apology. I then asked if they could find me another room (not at this property) and she repeated there were none within 30 miles. I said I would travel 40-50 and they refused to help me. Again, there were some within 10 miles. For some reason, as soon as I got in my room, I checked for bedbugs, which I normally don't do, but I just had a feeling about this place. Upon check-in she mentioned my room number in front of other guests, which is a real no-no, particularly since I am a woman travelling alone. I can't recall that happening in many, many years. I had been travelling for 2 days in horrible traffic running from Hurricane Irma and have stayed at 2 delightful and wonderful Best Westerns (St. Augustine & Jonesville NC). Stay away from this horrible Statesville location.

My wife, father-in-law, and I stayed here while she was in labor. The staff exceeded expectations for attentiveness and professionalism, it took no time or stress to check in, and the facilities were immaculate. 8 minutes away from our birthing center, 13 from Davis hospital. Lots of places to eat around.

Right off the freeway - this was just fine for a quick overnight - very nice staff, breakfast included. This is a simple hotel and gave us just what we needed as we were heading south to drop my son at school.

Good value, had some bugs in room on the floor but not a major issue. Had just enough toilet paper in room no spare roll and I ran out of Kleenex! These two items are kind of important, hotel staff needs to be more aware of this!

Would definitely recommend. Rooms Newly renovated, large and very nice. Staff pleasant and will go out of their way to be helpful. Conveniently located to downtown and interstate. Pet friendly and smoke free. Breakfast was the normal hotel fare with waffle, eggs, sausage and biscuits with sausage gravy. Small fitness center but clean and adequate. Quite area. Short distance to downtown, Easy on off I 77. Not far to I 40. Would stay again. Had 2 Room One for daughter and Granddaughter. Purpose of visit was to attend a wedding. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

I was anxious about staying at a Best Western, but saw that this Best Western had received great ratings from previous guests. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff, room, and breakfast were excellent. We are adding Best Western to our list of hotels to use while on the road!

I was very pleased w/the accommodations in Statesville, NC. The room was spacious, clean, comfy and safe. The coffee was good, the biscuits & gravy delish, the scrambled eggs, not so much. The eggs although in appearance looked like scrambled but seemed to have been made from something other than real eggs.

It was a very good hotel room , I had the suite room although , they never left me any soap or lotions & the pool was a bit dirty but , Other than that it was a very pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Was a very good stay. Quiet at night, the room was fantastic. The staff was very helpful and maintained our need very well. Breakfast was always hot. We were there over a week and would gladly go there again!

This was a chance to visit our very Family/Friends. We stayed at BW every chance we got. We started out in Texas and went to New York and came back in South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana and back to Texas.

we actually stayed on 2 different dates at this hotel, the first visit we were able to use a coupon found in a travel book and thought we had a great room for the price we paid, it was clean and in order, only downfall was having to walk up a flight of outdoor stairs, usually not a problem but with lots of sacks and luggage, not real fun, they had a typical hotel breakfast which was nothing outstanding but served its purpose. Since we had a good stay we choose to stay again on our way home, this time it was much different, we were not able to use the coupon, was told we were getting the last room, which was untrue as I witnessed a guest getting a room after I did...I was told we were getting a deluxe king room...it was a larger room with a sofa in it but the bathroom was way smaller and they had alot of wasted space on what they would call a kitchen area, just lots of cupboards with a smaller fridge and microwave...but this room had a defective ac unit which leaked and left the carpet damp and floor slippery, the room smelled musty and there were large areas of black mold both in the bathroom and in the ceiling in the room itself...so I was not happy that I had to pay more for a room of lesser quality, I would have requested another room but since I was told I was getting the last room they had we thought it useless, I did complain the next morning and was given a $15 credit, however if I was a manager and a customer complained of black mold and a bad room, I would comp the room to them.

Room was ok if you like exterior hallways and don't mind walking through standing water to get to your room. Check your beds as we found a couple of small spiders in them and in the corners of the room.

Really nice staff, nice room and location. Our original reservation was listed for the wrong dates, however they were able to accommodate us with two rooms instead of one. Then we asked to have adjoining rooms instead of side by side and they were able to move us.

Had business in the area and needed a hotel for several nights. Got a good price, much cheaper then other hotels closer to Charlotte. However, most of the time there are laundries on site at BW, This one did not have one and I needed one. I found one near by but would have preferred onsite so I could continue working in my room. Really nothing to complain about nor to brag about with this hotel. It is safe, everything in the room worked, it was clean, front desk was fine, breakfast was ok. Given the discount I received from a BW promo multiple night and all of the above noted - I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Dampness in the ground floor room that got worse as the night went on. A lot of rain in the area, could be from standing water in back of the hotel. At first look, the room seemed fine, clean, and no odor. It wasn't until we brought in luggage and got settled for the evening that we noticed the damp scum on the tile bath floor. Pulled back bedding, and sheets also seemed damp, as did the carpet on the floor.

I have been at this hotel for over a month off and on... This place is filled with good staff and hospitality... Angela and T at the front desk is amazing... And Latoya is excellent with the food and full of sunshine... This is the best hotel I have stayed in... Very clean rooms, comfortable beds... Great breakfast... Very private and no noises at night besides my kids....

We traveled through for one night and always try to stay with Best Westerns. This BW was easily accessible from the highway and made things easier when your looking to check-in, grab a quick bite around the area and go to bed. The front desk staff was phenomenal. Friendly, efficient and quick. I walked into our room and it was exactly what I requested (I.e. King bed, first floor, etc). Room was clean and A/C worked nicely. Bed and pillows were comfortable. TV was clear. Only one thing did not work well and that was the shower head and though bathroom looks updated, the shower plumbing is not. I advised front desk during check-out. Recommend this BW to other travelers.

We have come to expect great things from Best Western hotels and motels, and we were not disappointed by this one. Excellent amenities, helpful and friendly staff, generally quiet room. Easy access to the Interstate. Reasonable price. Particularly enjoyed the large number of television/video opportunities available in the room. Great coffee.

We have stopped at this Best Western on a number of other occasions. However, this time we were a little disappointed. We did get the accomodations we asked for. We did encounter a small problem. When we opend the door we were met with an awful odor. I was tempted to go to the main desk and as for another room, but that turned out to be unnecessary. Once we turned on the air conditioner and let it run for a few minutes, the odor was gone. As I stated earlier, this is the first time we had any type of problem with this Best Western. I would still recommend it to other travelers.

We were late driving from Florida. We mostly stay at the La Quinta because they are dog friendly. But there is no La Quinta in Statesville. I kept calling Statesville hotels and some hotels wanted up to fifty dollars for the dog. Thank Goodness I found this Best Western and they only charged 20 dollars for the dog. The mornings breakfast was good and the rooms were clean. Thank you Best Western you were a port in a storm for some weary travelers.

Reasonably priced stop on our way north. Very clean room, free Wi-Fi. Excellent continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Can't beat it for a quick overnight stay. Wouldn't even mind staying multiple nights if need be,

I always stay at this hotel. It's right off the interstate the town is very close with nice restaurants. Even found a Steeler bar! I have never had a problem here and the staff is friendly. Continental breakfast is good with a compliment of a variety of breakfast choices. One hint, next exit north bound has a Starbucks that is very convenient.

After traveling for hours needed place to sleep. Checked in and was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the front desk clerk. very helpful. Beds were very comfortable. Took the grandchildren out to the pool. It was partly shaded and very clean. They enjoyed it very much. The breakfast was excellent. It consisted of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. It was kept fresh and full. The server(cook) was super friendly and sweet. She took time to speak to everyone including the children. The best motel we have stayed at in several years. Highly recommend.

We are a local business in the area with more than 10 rooms occupied in Statesville every night of the year. The owner of this best western, who also owns the Ramada across the street has taken many steps of late to specifically express a lack of appreciation for our business. We have been encouraged by owners actions to find accommodations in Charlotte. It has been made clear that we are not the owners bread and butter, much less his preferred guests. We are generally seen as freeloaders, by this owner, who mooch off of the Best Western loyalty program, as a large portion of us are diamond elite members and earn a significant amount of points annually. Within the entire Best Western system, this owner stands completely alone and isolated in his disdain for our repeat business. Multiple employees have also apologized on behalf of the owner, and have corroborated the ownership position of our business being "the least valuable of all our guests." While we do continue to utilize this property out of convenience sake, it is very apparent that our business at the property is merely tolerated, but definitely not appreciated.

very comfortable roo., fairly clean, several restaurants nearby and great breakfast. Room has conviences like coffee pot, microwave and refridgerator. Coffee packets are well stocked. Nice large TV. Bed pillows are weirdly small.

The title of this review says it all. Although the front desk staff is excellent as well. The entire staff went out of their way to help, as I need a hip replacement and currently have some physical limitations. Its not in the very best section of Statesville, which is my ONLY misgiving about the place. But its not in the worst either. Although ideally I would prefer it one exit North on I-77. That may be "digging" to find a downside.

Good location , not noisy, but if you are in the 300's those rooms are across from the tractor parking, their trailer A/C units run all the time, not a fault of the hotel however. We had our cat with us and they allow pets for 20 dollars more, so it worked for us. There is not a lot of fast food selection at this exit, so we had the front desk recommended Pizza shop deliver , and they were fast and good.

Convenient off 77 with no road noise. comfy bed,small pillows. Super friendly staff. Be aware that entry is like a motel. Plus of ground floor easy to get suitcase in room. Minus sounds of people on stairs and starting cars if you arent leaving early.

Statesville isn't a very big area but this location was convenient and quite acceptable being very easy access to I-77 and I-40. Very comfortable room and very clean. Nice hidden surprise and dog friendly too!

We arrived a day earlier and they put us in the room we would be in the next night so we wouldn't have to move. I was extremely happy with everything until last night but it was people staying there not the fault of Best Western.

When tired from driving from FL to OH it is a great place to rest, sleep, refresh and eat a good breakfast! The staff was very pleasant. I have stayed in more expensive hotels and motels and for the money Best Western was as clean, pleasant, quiet and the staff was VERY helpful.

We have stayed in this resort only 1 time this year. We were there as a couple. The front desk staff is more than cordial and helpful at all times. The room was very clean and comfortable. . The location is great. The breakfast buffet is the best around. I cannot say enough good about this place and can't wait to return!

Due to problems out of my control, I found myself with no place to stay and two dogs. Lots of hotels but not lots of hotels accepting pets. Room was clean, no odd smells, very happy. There is a pet fee and I would call ahead, they may only have a limited number of "pet rooms" but they were a life saver!!

The room was spacious and clean ,plenty of pillows , Park right outside of your door, complimentary breakfast was very good , coffee was great, and the location was easy to get to off the interstate. I would stay overnight again , but only one night.

Average room, nothing special, the bed was as hard as a rock --we were a little concerned over the stain that was on the sheet and the hair we found in the bed. They moved us to another room with no problems. Guess things happen, its how you fix the problem that counts.

When traveling north from Florida for the summer, after 11 hrs. on the road, we just want a clean place to sleep for under $100. This fit the bill. I would have rated it "Very Good" except for a problem with somebody's horrible boom box. The staff did everything to try to remedy it. We'd probably stay there again.

Enjoyed the stay. Very clean and comfortable bed. Shower had good water pressure. Easy checkout. Parking a little crowded. Would stay again. Great location for where we were going and booked online. Shush we had toiletries though.

Staff very friendly, room somewhat clean. Sheets on bed didn't seem quite clean, few had stains, and bathroom tub walls were filled with soap scum. Outdated decor. Comfortable beds. Well located off the I-77.

I have stayed in lots of Best Westerns... some new, some not so new, but all clean and comfortable. This one was one of the worst hotels we have ever experienced. If we had not been exhausted after driving in rain for 7 hours we would have packed up and left....just to list a few issues: unflushed toilet with tissue in it, hair in sink, hair on sheets, stain on top sheet, a sales receipt from the last occupant between the sheets, soap holder fell off in the shower, itched all night long!!! Don't even try the "eggs" for breakfast . Plan to send a copy of the list I left for the manager, who won't be in today, to the corporate offices of BW. Will never return.

For a quick 1 night staybit was not to bad. We were surprised. Bed mattress could use to be replaced. Other reviews complain of this too. Clean, and updated furniture. No couch in our room. Just a chair. TV was a 32 flat with a good selection of channels AC sounded like a freight train. Breakfast was simple yet sufficient. Your basics.

I don't know where to begin. The toilet was dirty as was the bathroom floor. I noticed a few pebbles of pet food under the sink and immediately knew our room hadn't been cleaned. The was hair in the sink, my 4 year old daughter woke up with 2 mysterious bug bites. When we went to breakfast the next morning the juice machine was malfunctioning and pouring juice all over the floor, and whatever they were trying to pass off as scrambled eggs were definitely not eggs. We were packing to leave when my boyfriend picked up his business bag and noticed three dog turds underneath it under the table. He had dog *hit all over his business bag that he uses for work everyday. It reeked- and we had another 12 hour drive with that nasty smell before we would arrive home. I was beyond angry. He informed the front desk at checkout- the ONLY thing they offered was bonus points to their hotels... because we definitely want to stay with them again... nope. Sorry- NOT EVER.

Stayed while traveling with my two dogs (Great Danes). The room was spacious which suited me and the two giant dogs (120 pounds and 190 pounds respectively) very well. The king size bed was great and comfortable for me and the dogs were happy on the floor when they slept.

You can tell this is an older BW but it it's very well kept. Our room was very clean. Breakfast was smaller than some BW I've been to but it was decent. The cost of the room was very reasonable. Only downside was no choices of restaurants in walking distance

Stayed at this Motel twice in the last ten days March 31-April1 and April 8-9. Have stayed there in the past but this time we found it tired , worn out and dirty. The furniture was worn and chipped, the bed spreads were dirty and on the first stay we found potato chips on the floor. On both occasions the breakfast was lacking several things like fruit and scrambled eggs and we couldn't get anyone to refill it. On the second occasion ( the only reason we stayed the second time was we could not get into another hotel) we found three rotten eggs in the refrigerator we complained about the chips from the first occasion and the eggs on the second but nobody on staff seemed to get to excited about it. Just so people don't think I am picking on Best Western I stayed in one in Grove city on April 9-10th and it was excellent. Will not be staying at the one in Statesville again.

Stopped here on our drive home to Canada from Florida. Hard to do proper research on an IPhone but the Tripadvisor reviews brought us here. Location is handy - right off the 77. Booked enroute through Expedia. Price was good - 100.48 Cnd taxes in. We realized that the hotel was pet friendly immediately - many pets in the parking lot. What we didn't expect was a barking boxer in the room next door. Every time someone walked by the window, it barked and howled. Seriously people??? I totally get that these animals are part of the family but my kids weren't even allowed to annoy other patrons and were taught to respect the space of others. Clean room, good towels, nice tv, microwave, toiletries, iron, blow dryers and spotty wifi. Breakfast was decent. The issue with pets is the reason we would not return to this venue.

Stopped at 1/2 way mark to home from FL. Room was fine: clean, quiet, good internet, good TV, no bugs, breakfast was good, very close to freeway. Will stop next year on trip home.Were too tired to find a restaurant in old part of town, within walking distance of Waffle House & one fast food chain.

The cleaning product smell in the room was overpowering & I do not have a sensitive nose. The smell did not dissipate; it was there when I left. The low battery 'chirp' of a fire alarm could be heard at check-in & it persisted all through the night. The unsmiling woman at the front desk was alone on a busy Saturday night; she said she'd check into it. I asked her to call the owner. The fire alarm was chirping when I left. I phoned BW's Customer Care agent & shared my concerns.

The quality of the building and its location are a welcoming sight. Staff have always been friendly, helpful, polite and caring. The breakfast presentation and quality has always been great but now it is excellent.

Breakfast. No sausage,eggs,orange juice,waffle batter or fresh fruit. Worst continental breakfast I ever encountered. Breakfast was supposed to start at 6am I arrived at 6;45 am and they were totally unprepared

We stopped at your hotel to sleep for the night on our way from Florida to Ohio. When we arrived, very tired, at 1:00 AM, our non-smoking room had been given away. We took a smoking room because we needed to sleep. The room had stunk horribly of smoke. We asked for air freshener, we were given "heavy cleaner" which made it worse and gave us a headache. We put towels under our heads because the pillows were so dirty and we wrapped ourselves in our own blankets. We slept for 4 hours and left because we were so uncomfortable. We should not have been charged for the room since ours was given away. When we told the desk clerk about our bad experience, her reply was, "Really?!"

Interstate hotel. A little tough to park a pickup truck after the lot gets full. The room was spacious, clean and replete with a mini frig, desk etc. Very reasonable pricing (80.00) Stateseville is a cool little town and you can find good restaurants and bars with live music within an easy 8 minute drive after check in.

Great place just out side the city off 77. I been hear many times clean rooms and hotel well maintained. The fresh linen and towels all ways a plus. The a greeting all a smile and professional. I come back anytime.

Since I-95 had problems, we took I-81 south this year. Leg 2 of the trip took us from New Jersey south, so we elected to drive 9 hours to Statesville. This motel was clean, well-kept and had a decent free breakfast. There are several local restaurants to select from, but get a map, as they require making several turns.

I have a dog AND I had to pay extra. The room is adequate but the carpeting is loaded with chemicals. I am sneezing my brains out. NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN. RED ROOF INN FOREVER and FREE FOR PETS and CHEAPER. If the hotel reacts this way for pets then don't allow them. Its going to take us 2 days for the swelling of our sinuses to calm down.

Of the hotels at this exit, this looked like one of the better of the bunch. It's a value hotel. Our room was clean an comfortable. Our door opened up into a hallway (my preference), but most of the rooms open up to the parking lot or a walkway open to the parking lot. We arrived late and the parking lot was packed. We managed to find a spot. The hotel had no vacancy. The breakfast looked fine, including a waffles. We didn't eat breakfast during our stay. My only complaint is the door lock on our room didn't work very well. It frustrated my wife.

Stayed overnight on road trip south. Ground level room was perfect for our little dog (pet-friendly). The room was a good size and had micro, fridge, comfortable beds, big flat screen. The staff could not be more accomodating- the breakfast room was had all we wanted and they provided couple other little things happily and quickly.

Stayed here while visiting in Statesville. Nice hotel. Mid-range. Clean large rooms. In addition to 2 queen beds there was also a sleep sofa. Easy access to major roadways and downtown Statesville. Restaurants are also close by for all ranges and budgets.

Had a small problem on arrival but was quickly handled by Tattyana and we and our family had a wonderful stay. Would stay here whenever we are in the area. Very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast.

Don't stay in this hotel. Shower curtain soiled with large amount of nasal excrement. Phone horribly filthy. Carpet frayed. Overall cleanliness bad. Please don't waste your money here. Complained to staff and they wrote a note for housekeeping. NOT HAPPY!

I have written to this hotel and to Best Western. I am a long time BW traveler. This hotel was not on par in so many ways with the others. The air condition was noisy ALL night. The toilet ran ALL night. The breakfast had no fruit and cold coffee. While I was checking out the person behind me was also complaining about his room,

The staff there is excellent. Our room was the average looking hotel room. However we immediately saw a live roach in the bathroom, the remote for the tv didn't work right, and it was very noisy. The breakfast was ok, but the coffee station was dirty. The hostess Latavia was, however, very helpful and friendly. Though not the fault of the hotel there were no restaurants in the area. After driving around 20 minutes we found Carolina BBQ. (Food not great) We stayed overnight on our way to Myrtle Beach and we will stay somewhere else next time.

The staff is very friendly and helpful with smiles all around. Clean rooms and towels. Comfortable beds. We left Pittsburgh late in the day to go to Darlington for a NASCAR race and we were very tired when we passed the dead zone that is Route 19 south. We thought since the hotel was so close to the Statesville Interstate 77 exit that the quality of stay would be compromised. We were pleasantly proved wrong. We would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. It was a shame we had to leave for the race because we would have stayed another night!

I am partial to BW. This was a nice place to stay. The room was comfortable, clean and everything worked. The staff was terrific. Nice, smiling and ready to help. Breakfast was the same as most places. Staff constantly refreshing the items available. Used a coupon and was very happy with price and stay. This place could use some TLC. You can see that owner needs to spend money on clean-up, paint-up and fix-up. For the money (coupon) a good value.

The 1st room I was given,the commode was plugged. The 2nd room we moved EVERYTHING into the air conditioning blew only warm air. Went to the front desk and asked for a fan twice only to be told "we had one but its gone. Actually slept on the tile floor as this was the only place I found cool enough to sleep.

I called in advance and made a reservation. When I arrive no one was attending the desk. I waited for 15 minutes and called their number. Phone rang and no one answered. After another 10 minutes of waiting I left and found another hotel. I'm not sure what the issue was, but 25-30 minutes with an unattended front desk will not bring me back to thick hotel.

I was traveling from Miami to NYC and all of a sudden I was exhausted. It was a long intense drive with quite a bit of traffic. I had a coupon book and found the Best Western in Statesville with a good rate. I remember a few years back stopping at this hotel, but driving past it. It just seemed off the road and a bit deserted. But this time I did some research and saw they had good reviews. It's always hard to find a place on the road especially when your exhausted and driving solo. The front desk was great, the room was clean and the mattress was very comfy. I have a hard time sleeping while traveling in hotels I'm not familiar, but that wasn't the case at this hotel. I was especially impressed with the woman who ran the breakfast room. She took pride in what she served and made sure all her guest were happy & satisfied. I'd definitely stay here again. It's nothing fancy on the outside or inside, but it's clean, quiet and comfortable. What else can you ask for when you need a good nights rest?

We stayed here for one night on our way to Connecticut. The staff were very pleasant and the room was very clean and fresh smelling. Very comfortable bed. No traffic noise and the complimentary breakfast was good. I would recommend this place. If your looking for a motel or inn with all of the bells and whistles then this isn't for you. However, if your looking for a place to stay for a night to rest up then recommended. Good value for the price. We had the king bed no smoking room.

I got a room with an outside door which is always good for me since I travel with my service dog. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy and I got a good nights rest. It was quiet and well lit for my dogs usual night walk. There are restaurants close by with a waffle house within walking distance. Good breakfast for a good start to the day. Will stay again if in the area.

Decent lodging for a stop-over. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We did not use the breakfast service so I am unable to comment on the quality of the food provided. This facility is pet-friendly which is nice.

My boyfriend and I were passing through Statesville and stopped at BW to spend the night. The room was large and the bed was comfortable, but the fridge did not work and by the time we reliazed it the front desk was closed which seemed odd to us. I have worked in hotels and we never closed the front desk, but any way I don't think we will stay there again.

Long day traveling. Arrived about 10:30 p.m. There was staff at the desk who greeted us very warmly. Room was spacious, updated and clean. Breakfast was well stocked for all ages and needs. Breakfast staff worked hard to keep it clean and replentished. Very accommodating. Will stay here again when we travel in this area.

This was our stop-over hotel for our trip from Florida to Ohio. It worked out perfectly as far as the driving distance. The bed was very comfortable - just what our aching backs needed after 10 hours in a car! The complimentary breakfast was very good and got the 2nd. day of travel off to a good start.

This hotel deal came out of a booklet that I picked up at the Welcome Center. What a great deal!! Nice room and great breakfast Hotel staff was awesome. The hotel was a little difficult to find due to a heavy rainstorm, but once we did find it loved everything about our stay. Not too many choices for dinner, but the Waffle House had a great meal. Nice servers and fun atmosphere. On our next trip North, we will definitely consider staying here again. It is close to the Interstate and it is an easy on and off for travelers.

We stopped at this hotel on our way to Florida. Hotel was clean, room was bug enought. The hotel is close to the I-77. The hotel is understaff. The breakfast was correct, but we always had to wait for coffee, eggs, and others.

The hotel reception area was clean, well lit, and it felt welcoming.The parking was great, near lobby door. The room was clean, well presented and comfortable. The bed was first rate. With curtains closed the room was dark which made for a good nights sleep. The bathroom was clean, well lit and stocked with everything needed for a great shower.

Very clean and friendly staff. Well decorated and beautiful exterior. I was surprised how well kept and nice of a hotel it was. I haven't stayed in a hotel that has stayed in a hotel that has a outside door in years and glad I did.

Best Western has come along way. Stayed in Statesville Tennessee and Savannah and had a great time. Rooms were clean and wonderful. No complaints. Only one block from the historic district in Savannah. Walking distance to river street. Great breakfast in the morning. Great staff in both locations and great price.

We were traveling home from Florida and stopped here for the night. The hotel is average, but very friendly at the front desk. I had issues trying to open my room door, so they gave me another room with no hassles. I did find the Wi-fi very weak in the room we had.

We had stayed at a Best Western the night before in Shippensburg Pa that was excellent but this one was no where near the quality as the other. It was not cleaned properly the continental breakfast was not up to par either.

Chose this hotel based on recent reviews. Bad decision. Don't get me wrong, I'm alive and not completely grossed out, but first impressions matter and this place does not impress. It's off the highway which I wanted; it's cheap and somewhat clean - I guess. BUT, when I entered the hotel, a man was threatening a lawsuit. And weird men were circling the property on bicycles. This may sound pretentious, but it scared my children (9 and 13). I wouldn't let them go to the outdoor pool, just based on a gut feeling. Besides the strange first impressions, the property is dated and sanitation is questionable. Mirrors and headboards are full of handprints. The toilet runs. Basically, I'm scared to touch things, even if it's cleaned appropriately. I paid too much - this was not a $39.95-$89.95 cost. Ewwwwwww. Don't stay here.

Comfortable, excellent service and breakfast items which included eggs and sausage, easy access off of highway 77. Good location for shopping and restaurants as well. We stop here regularly on our way down to Florida or back up going home.

Stayed here for one night after returning from a Georgia vacation. It was easy access to the interstate. Found it to be affordable, clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was your basic complimentary hotel breakfast, but it was tasty and filling. The breakfast staff girl was very friendly and kept the breakfast bar filled and clean. Front desk staff was also friendly and efficient.

The bed is very comfortable! The two ladies at the front desk were very nice and did a great job of making us feel welcomed. The room appeared clean but has not been vacuumed recently. Our room was very quiet and only after 7am did we hear any other guests. There is no elevator which was ok with us but other guests may need to be aware of this prior to booking a room.

The room was clean and nice for our dog friendly stay. Breakfast was decent. The attendant worked very hard to meet everyone's needs. All in all the hotel met our expectations. Hall leading to the room could have used a cleaning and the lock on the room was temperamental - needs attention.

We had the handicapped room with roll-in shower. The shower was large and well-designed, though the water sprayed into the room if you weren't careful with the hand-shower. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was fairly comfortable, though I needed a mattress pad as I weigh over 300 pounds. Breakfast was excellent with brand-name components; I was pleased to find real Florida's Natural orange juice, and salt for the Quaker oatmeal. The front desk clerk was kind enough to let us check in an hour early, which we greatly appreciated. Our room was near the exterior stairs, where people often smoked, but to my relief no smoke got into the room (and I am very sensitive to smoke). In general it was a quiet place with well-behaved guests. We stayed on a Friday night, and two people did decide to have an extended conversation just outside our door at midnight, but when I opened my door and asked them please to chat elsewhere they were friendly and obliging about doing so. The outdoor pool was five feet deep and several funnoodles were provided for guests' use. I would be happy to stay there again.

While traveling in vacation we came across this hotwl. It was clean, comfortable and a great value. It was much less than comparable hotels in the area. I would recommend this stop to anyone in the Statesville/Charlotte area.

Me and my son stayed one night. We were in the lower corner of the U-shaped room setup which was a little weird, but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good, with the usual hot items (eggs, sausage, biscuits) and the like. Staff was friendly....no complaints.

Overall the room was nice and clean. With the exception of the internet working sporadically and the shampoo dispenser broken as well as the next door's dog barking all night, we had a nice stay. The pool was very nice and the breakfast was great. The employees were very nice and helpful.

This was our third stay at this hotel. Very clean rooms. Staff is wonderful. Easy on and off the highway. Good breakfast. It is a great halfway stop for us on our way to South Carolina. Have stayed at other hotels in the area in the past and this one is the best so far and priced right.

not quite what we expected but it was reasonably clean and the beds were comfortable, for sure! room could have used a little re decorating but the complimentary breakfast was better than expected. this is a pet friendly hotel, and everything was still clean. pool was small but refreshing. it was a good nights sleep, a bit noisy during the day but quiet at night on the first floor. good value for the money.

The Best Western in Statesville, N.C. was very comfortable and clean. The employees were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. The hotel is easily accessible from RT 77. Easy off, easy on.

Had to change from one bad motel to Best Western and it was sooo much nicer. Large rooms and very clean and quite. Will stay there again. Friendly people too. Easy off the interstate. Had double beds and they were comfortable.

The two biggest issues we had was no elevator. My mistake! Will be sure and NEVER do that again. Also very unhappy that apparently the TV is somehow set to only play at a certain level of loudness, which was way to low to enjoy watching. We had to periodically turn the Air conditioning fan off to hear the dialogue of the movie we were watching.

Upon arrival I needed to change rooms due to recovery from a broken leg, front desk clerk very helpful and changed rooms. It was clean and made me feel relaxed normally I have sleep issues but did not have any here. In fact we wished we could have stayed another day. Continental Breakfast was pretty good and had options for all.

This hotel was O.K. It seems to be an older hotel. No elevators. No HBO on the television. All ice machines were broken and no solution was offered to guests. We are platinum B.W. guests and didn't receive a welcome snack like we usually do at other Best Westerns.

We were pleasantly surprised about the quality of our room. It was nice and convenient for having a pet in the room. We arrived late and left early but it was easy to get in and out with our small dog. There was also a designated area for "pottying" plus they had supplies for clean up. We didn't stay for breakfast, but we grabbed a cup of coffee and it was pretty good.

We chose Best Western for a one night stop in Statesville. First, a very helpfull front desk attendant. The room not fancy, but a nice room. The breakfast buffet was very good and the attendant Latya was exceptional. Good value, Heplfull staff.

Beautiful location and room. Pink lemonade greets you upon check in. Breakfast is a great assortment. Room was very clean and nice flat screen TV. Internet service was convenient. One of the Best Western hotels I have stayed in.

This hotel is perfectly located for our drive down and back from Florida. We are happy with our room, new carpets have been put down. Big TV and easy access to internet. The breakfast is good....love the biscuits and gravy. We like the fact we can drive up to the door of our hotel room

My husband and I stayed in the Best Western and were pleasantly surpised at how nice it was. We had our dog with us and the room was nice and the parking spot was right in front of the room. The breakfast was nice and varied and the staff was very helpful and pleasant.

We went there without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us. Tatyana, who checked us in, was so pleasant and friendly Our room was ok. HVAC system in the room was noisy. The bathroom walls were stained and evidently not cleaned properly. Water pressure and temp was good. Towels were plenty, but smelled as if they were folded before thoroughly dry. Bed was old and collapsed when you sat on the end of the bed. The mattress cover was stained. The room and area was noisy. We could hear people walking around and what seemed to have been a dog scratching himself and his leg hitting the floor. TV was very large and nice, however, the remote didn't work well. We loved the shower gel in the bath tub. Breakfast was your normal affair, but the attendant, LaToya, was wonderful. She set a place for you at a table, asked how we slept and was very attentive to each guest. The staff we encountered were of better quality then the rooms. That's a first!

We stayed here while waiting for my sister's possessions to catch up with us from Virginia. My sister is handicapped. We were assigned to a handicapped room. I was unable to help with her bath as there wasn't a walk-in shower in our room. However, Angela, who was working the front desk, was so very patient with us. She offered us the use of an unoccupied room that did have a shower we could use. She did not charge us when we missed the check out time. When it became apparent that we needed another night, Angela was there to take care of the paperwork. Angela showed resourcefulness and compassion. She is an asset to Best Western. Latoya, the breakfast attendant, is just great. She takes care of everyone and makes you feel at home. She serves warm and tasty food and cleans after you leave. Give her a raise!

this hotel had very good service, I couldn't have asked for a better stay we stayed for 3 days for a wedding they asked every morning if we would like the room cleaned. breakfast was good also. I would highly recommend the stay well worth the money and great stay.

Pleasant, Clean, comfortable bed, just what you need for an overnight. Left early before breakfast so can't comment. This was an overnight stay on a road trip. Separate Sink from shower and toilet, very convenient.

We stayed at this hotel on our trip to Florida and reserved it for our return trip. Overall, it is easy access on the interstate, employees are pleasant, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Next time, we will ask for a room that is in a more quiet area, as sleep is imperative for our trip as it involves long days driving. Complimentary wi-fi is great and the breakfast is o.k, to have something to start the day. More of a selection of hot items would be appreciated. We will be staying here in our future trips, as the price is reasonable and the accessibility is good, and the beds are comfortable! Be sure to ask directions to The Twisted Oak American Bar and Grill on Center Street in downtown Statesville, only 7 minutes from the hotel, and oh so worth it!!!

This hotel was good for what we needed it for which was a nights sleep. It's definitely an older hotel with no elevator and outside stairways. The breakfast that was provided was substandard to say the least. The price was right though.

This Best Western hotel was everything you would like to see in a hotel. The rooms were fresh and very clean and nicely appointed. The staff , all included were very professional and extremely well trained as the met every need we had with an attitude and demeanor that made you feel welcomed and appreciated. Great job everyone and keep up the good work.

Every time I stay here there is always something wrong. Toilet doesn't flush. Toile leaks. Toilet runs. Dirty towels left in room. Shower gel dispenser falls off wall. Dangerous wiring. I've given this place plenty of opportunity to give me a good experience. I'm done

My wife and I felt like we were in good hands during our stay in Statesville Best Western Inn in North Carolina. From the moment we got there, the outward appearance impressed us and upon entering the Inn we were treated by everyone from the very professional, curtious, friendly and helpful desk personal, to the obvious professionalism of the maid staff who had the room spotlessly clean, to the fantastic hostess in the very nicely appointed breakfast hall who took great care to provide an excellent, very tasty breakfast with her warm offerings to replenish or help where she could. An A-Plus experience for the very reasonable cost of the night. We will return in the future. Rick and Sandra

I recommend the suites on the lower level, especially if you need to walk your dog(s) as they are private, away from the rest of the hotel, and very convenient for dog walking right outside your door. Suites include kitchenettes with small fridge, sink, and microwave. Hotel was conveniently located off I-77 and away from the congestion and traffic of Charlotte (hooray!). Most restaurants are located one or two exits north, which was only negative but no big deal.

Sorry, but we did not have a good experience. The reservation got mixed up and we were offered a smoking room. Ugh! To the credit of the front desk receptionist, she did call her manager to request an upgrade but the manager refused. We were left to search on our own for another place to stay. Not sure how the reservation got messed up but management did not want to keep a customer.

Check in was a breeze. I asked for an early check in and the staff was happy to honor my request. Breakfast was decent. The eggs had the consistency of lima beans. Everything else was good. The breakfast attendant treated the guests as if they were in a restaurant. She was extremely pleasant and very helpful Parking was not good. Other guests had utilized two to three parking slots. Hotel should have a policy in place for this.

I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing a stay in Statesville, North Carolina. It is a pet friendly hotel with rooms that looked to be newly renovated. Our room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast room was attended by a very competent employee who quickly replaced items that had run out and cleaned and set tables with efficiency. Highly recommend.

We stayed one night here. As per usual I checked the room thoroughly for bugs but found nothing, thankfully. We stayed in suite 233. The suite is just $5 more and the extra room is nice. Bathroom was very clean. Behind the bed was dusty but nothing else but dust there. The fridge did make an annoying sound but I didn't complain about it so not sure how it would have been handled if I had. I simply pushed the fridge into the bathroom when we slept and there was no noise in the room. I did report the noisy fridge upon checkout though. The breakfast was the usual with cereal, waffles, coffee, tea and juices. The attendant Latoya was extremely helpful and asked if I would like a waffle. I said yes and she said, choose a seat and I'll bring it to you which she did, along with syrup and butter and utensils. Very friendly even though it was busy. No newspapers were left for reading though. The checkin and checkout was simple and friendly. We did reserve ahead and have a best western card so they had all our info online. I just walked in, said I had a reservation and they handed me the keys! I would return there again when in the area.

No trouble booking a room. The first room the heater didn't work but we were assigned another right away. Rooms were very clean and had everything that you wood need. At breakfast the next morning, the breakfast attendand went out of her way to provide all of the food. Couldn't beat her

While it is obviously an older property the rooms have been nicely redone to modern standards and then some! Restaurant is fabulous although somewhat dated. But the food??? You won't get better anywhere else. Try the crab cakes!!!!

Second stay at this hotel as I travel to and from FL...I feel safe and secure. Hotel is quiet, room very clean and bed comfortable as well as a friendly staff and priced within my budget. Look forward to my return next season..

The hotel is close to the interstate, which is good. It is very clean, with new carpets and the beds were very comfy. We like the fact that you can drive your car right in front of your room. It makes unpacking the car, so much easier.

This hotel was a comfortable and clean, but not lavish overnight stop on our drive back from Florida. Room was clean, and bed comfortable. They put us in a handicapped room, but it wasn't an issue. Liked convenience of in-room microwave and fridge. Good price for the overnight thru AARP. Satisfied with our stay.

We were looking for a couple night stay with a pet friendly hotel. Hard to find these days. Rooms were clean. The immediate area had nothing to offer. Breakfast area was nice but they were poorly stocked. Out of fruit, had to wait on hot items to be replenished. Overall for the money it served its purpose.

the room was clean, bathroom was very small compared to other BW's, beds double not queen, breakfast was not good compared to other BW's but breakfast attendant was very nice and efficient, would not like to stay there very long, but ok for 1 night while travelling

This is a nice hotel to stop after a long drive from Ontario. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Shanika checked us in and together with her colleague provided great customer care and service. This really made us feel very welcome at this hotel. Latoya did an amazing job with the breakfast and we all enjoyed it. I would most certainly recommend this hotel for a short or long stay. Keep up the good work

We stayed at this Best Western and had a king, non-smoking room. Free hot breakfast that was excellent with lots of choice. Room was quiet, clean, and spacious. We rested very well here and would recommend this place for others. We were just passing through and needed a place to sleep, so I don't know much more about their other amenities. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is the ideal spot to stop on the way to Florida from Canada. The hotel was full so best make reservations. The room was clean and had obviously been redone. The beds were very comfortable. Only disappointment was breakfast.

Travel between NY and Florida ...great half way point..clean quiet rooms with very friendly helpful staff. Morning breakfast hot and cold selections...staff helped with waffles and served them to us...nice

This hotel was very clean and accommodating. Had a small issue with the fridge, which could happen anywhere, they quickly had us change rooms. The bed was very comfortable, and no highway noise. If in the area, will certainly stay here again.

We booked this hotel based upon previous reviews and needed a spot on the way to FL. The location was very convenient to I-77. We knew there were no elevators but were surprised that our second story room was on an inside corridor with no view to the outside; the window was facing the hall. But no matter. The room was spacious and clean. There were 2 issues - the night stand on one side of the bed had a lamp and clock radio, neither plugged in to an outlet, since there was no outlet anywhere near the table. Luckily we travel with an extension cord which we ran across the floor. A minor inconvenience. We also had no shower curtain in the tub, and when reported the front desk agent brought one. All in all, no real complaints.

We will defiantly stay again. If you want clean- quiet and a good nights rest you can't get it here. Room rates are also reasonable.

On our way from Oakville On to Hilton Head for our usual winter vacation we stopped overnight @ this hotel. We had a ground level suite which was clean & spacious. The staff @ reception was prompt & courteous. Altogether a very pleasant experience @ a reasonable CAA rate.

Hotel was conveniently located right off the highway. Convenience stores within walking distance of hotel. Outdoor entrance, which i LOVe, decent breakfast and really friendly staff. Would recommend. Bed wasn't uncomfortable just too small for my husband and i (double).

This location is an ideal stop if you are traveling from Ft. Lauderdale or other northern locations in Florida to Toronto Canada. The city is just before you cross the elevation of the mountains north of there so you don't have to cross possible bad weather in the darc. The Best Western is clean and close enough to all the fast food and restaurants in the downtown area. The complementary breakfast area is large, clean and very bright.

Upon arriving at our next destination the night of January 2,2016, my wife realized that she had forgotten her brand new nightgown at this Inn. We phoned to ask/tell them about it. They just gave us the run around and were not in the least bit helpful. It was the only place we had stopped so we know that is where it was left. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service and integrity.

While the room qas nice and clean. The bed if of a good quality. The breakfast is average for a hotel of this type. But the staff is amazing. Latoya at the breakfast bar and front desk greeted me and made me feel welcome without being intrusive. The front desk at check on was quick, personable and super friendly. I am glad I got too tired to drive here.

Stayed here last year and liked it. Not this time. Hair in bathtub when we arrived. Very noisy heating unit that kept my wife awake most of the night. Reported it on leaving but the clerk didn't appear too interested. Breakfast not ready at 6:30. One toaster broken and the other very slow. As I said, disappointing. Beds were comfy and Internet was fine. TV had an excellent picture. Will not be back

This is a Nice stop when you need a room when traveling I77. Clean, modern rooms, nice breakfast. Bed was quite comfortable. Frig and micro in the room. very nice staff Not much else at this exit in the way of eating, but Citgo does sell beer.

My wife left her wallet in the room after we checked out and were on the road for over one hour before we realized it was left behind. Several calls to the hotel staff for two days ware fruitless and the wallet was not turned in to hotel management. We are so disappointed with this outcome, my wife lost all her money, credit cards,health insurance cards, and state driver's license.

This was my 4th stay and it is consistently wonderful. Service, cleanliness, professionalism.......and at a price that is an amazing value! I have highly recommended this hotel in the past and will happily continue to do so!

This room was only $80 including tax (CAA/AAA rate) so I wasn't expecting much. Here's what we got: 1. We had a non-smoking room but the room smelled like stale smoke and there was a cigarette burn in the pullout mattress. 2. The staff at checkin was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. She got me extra sheets and blankets when I asked. Her name was Sheniqua I think. Awesome! 3. We got a parking spot right outside our room. 4. There are several options to eat near the motel. We had dinner at Carolina BBQ (they close at 8pm so don't leave it too late) 5. The free hot breakfast was pretty gross. I saw flies on the bread. The eggs looked old even though I got there early. But again, for the price I was impressed they even bothered with a hot breakfast. We had cereal. They had four kinds. Impressive. 6. The morning staff was also very friendly and asked how we slept, if we had everything we needed and even retrieved my purse for me when I forgot it on the counter. Overall, this was by far the cheapest option in the area and there's no guarantee the other 2 stars would have been any better. I would stay here again. I am really good at mouth breathing to avoid bad smells.

The place is clean but worn down. Staff are amazingly super friendly breakfast is ok but not that great. The town shuts down at 9pm so if your looking to eat after that just save time looming around and go to waffle house, staff are friendly and foods is good.

I recently stayed at the Statesville Best Western, and It was a great experience. The room was clean, and the staff was very polite as well as professional. I found the location of the hotel to be excellent, right next to the exit of the interstate 77.

We enjoyed the friendly staff and clean room. We had a comfortable night's rest. Check in was quick and easy. The breakfast options were somewhat limited, but what was available was very good. The staff really made us feel welcome.

Already expressed our selves the page before. Given the wrong room, the furthest away from the front desk. .All alone, no one else there. Room had numerous problems, odour, broken dispensers in shower. Looked worn out, the room needs refurbishing. Staff blamed us not the person who booked us several weeks before we arrived.

There are many lodging choices in the Statesville area, but the Best Western's staff make this motel a standout. EVERYONE you encounter here makes a point to greet you with a smile. The room was clean and the bed exceptionally comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is the standard BW fare, but the attendant, Lataya, provides "added value" making sure everybody's comfortable and gets enough to eat. She keeps the dining area immaculate, too. The BW Statesville is a bit awkward in its location, tucked in among other motels, but is definitely worth seeking out. Don't pass this one by!

A pleasurable experience, and polite staff. Not to mention an A sanitary rating. Sheets are clean, bathroom clean, and was quiet all night. Woke up to polite maintenance and grounds crew who all said good morning. Good manners goes a long way.

We have stayed at several Best Western's this year and have been pleasantly surprised by how nice they really are! This most recent stay was very nice as well. The room was clean, neat and very comfortable for a very reasonable price. The bed was so comfortable. Our only complaint was the a/c-heater system - it was fairly noisy and was off and on frequently throughout the night due to the cold weather. The breakfast area was small but the attendant Lataya was exceptional, helping with anything we might need.

We had driven from Sarasota today and needed a place to rest. We normally find Best Western are a good choice. We weren't disappointed. For the price it was good value. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly. We would stay here again with or without the coupon that was available at the tourist stop. Another good choice.

Two major items for concern. (1) Lighting (2) Buffet Breakfast 1. There were no lights on in the workout room. Most hotels have the common rooms, such as the exercise room nicely lit and very visible. All you could see was a black window. The most crucial lighting issue to be addressed was that there was no outside lighting that leads from the rooms to the outside, open, corridor and into the lobby and breakfast room. THERE WAS NO LIGHTING. The walkway was totally dark. Two people bumped into one another because they could not see. I spoke to the front desk agent who seemed to be unaware of this problem, and could do nothing to correct this problem. 2. The breakfast was a total disaster. It opened at 6:30 AM. People were there to begin their day, grab a bit to eat and leave the hotel. However, the various food stations had not been fully set up. There were no scrambled eggs, bacon or biscuits. I prefer hot chocolate...there was none. There was no fresh fruit...bananas, apples or oranges. There were only a few yogurts available. No bagels, and a very limited amount of sweet rolls. These missing items were noticed and discussed by several hotel guests who were familiar with the Best Western brand of hotels and what they should offer.

12 hours drive from our home in the Greater Toronto area is about half way to our condo in Florida. We stopped for the night in Statesville and chose the Best Western Statesville Inn. We found the room comfortable and clean. The internet worked great. There was a refrigerator for us to put our perishables that we were taking to our condo. All in all, we had everything we needed. Breakfast was more than adequate and we happily went on our way for another 11 hours of driving. We did hit Charlotte rush hour morning traffic as we continued south. Perhaps we should have gotten up earlier to miss the morning traffic.

We are a tour & charter service, and whenever we stay here all the paperwork, rooms, breakfast and checking out is so awesome. Angela is a wonderful lady to deal with and everything is right on when we arrive and depart. We have stayed at many different hotels in the USA, Marriotts, Holiday Inn Express, etc. but this hotel hands down is the easiest hotel to deal with. The other hotels needs to take lessons from the Best Western in Statesville. Thanks again for all your hardwork we will see you again next year.

Stayed here travelling home from Florida. Room was spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the attendant, Latoya, gave excellent service. She kept the eating area very clean and well stocked, and asked if everyone was alright each time she walked through. Very comfortable morning breakfast experience. Will be back to stay on our next trip down south. Thanks!

We enjoyed a brief (one night) stay at this hotel. We found it to be very conveniently located (next to I-77), reasonably priced and having a neat, pleasant and professional staff. They feature several hot items at the breakfast bar and the food was good. If we are in the area on another trip I would be more than happy to stay there again.

The room was neat and clean, comfortable bed. Although there are no resturants in the area of the hotel, the next 2 exits north (with in a mile) have plenty to choose from. The Outback is a good choice.

Budget stop on the road. The good: very courteous check in, very comfy bed, handy to the highway, spacious room, very clean looking, good bathroom. The bad: very definite smell when we walked to the room - we assumed it had been a pet friendly room but were assured it wasn't. Couldn't tell if the smell was in the carpet or from the bathroom but definitely had urine smell. There was a portable air purifier in the room which helped a bit. Also, no tissues in the dispenser and they told us at the front desk they were all out of tissues until their delivery the next day. They use dispensers in the shower and both the shampoo and shower gel were empty. While the location is handy to the highway, there is nothing close in the way of places to eat. We ordered a pizza in which suited us fine as we were tired but it would have been nice to have someplace close to go eat. Breakfast was included, your standard waffles, toast and cereal type, just okay. All in all, not horrible but we were used to better from a Best Western hotel.

We reserved a King Suite for a weekend visit. The room was nicer than it looked in photos. Our room appeared to be completely remodeled. The Suite is nice and big and plenty of room for my husband and myself. Being an outdoor corridor hotel we were worried about noise. But our room was very quiet considering the number of vehicles parked in the lot.

My wife and I recently spent a Saturday night at the Best Western Statesville, NC Inn. We were going for a long-planned event but hadn't made reservations until just before travelling. The a best Western was a good price, about $90 per night but I hadn't checked any reviews before booking it.the night before stopping in Statesville I checked Yelp, Trip Advisor and other and the reviews of the hotel were brutal-check them out. I almost switched hotels after reading the horror stories but my wife said to just relax, it's only one night. Well, we arrived. Early, about 11:30 am and check-in wasn't u til 2:00. The lady at the desk couldn't have been more pleasant, although she said our room wasn't ready yet. My wife had planned to meet a friend for lunch and I was opting to watch college football on tv. The desk clerk directed me to the lounge, and also gave me the code for free wifi, which worked perfectly by the way. Within 20 minutes I was advised our room was ready. It was next to the laundry room, but was just fine. It was clean, terrific sized flat screen tv, easy chair, nice king bed, good linens, everything spotless, nice toiletries--I couldn't have asked for more. The free breakfast Sunday mo Ning was typical--pastries, waffles, juices, etc., nothing great, but price was right. The hotel is more of a motel, with doors to rooms open to the outside, rather than an indoor hall. The area appears kind of sketchy--the checkin desk has a glass front with a speaker window, like some sort of cheesy citrate loan company, not exactly the Ritz--not sure who they were expecting. But after the scary reviews, we again seemed to luck out and got a fine room for a fair price with no real complaints. I should mntion there are no dining establishmen s anywhere close by, even fast food joints, but it is just off the interstate.

Great value, very nice for the money. Latoya who worked in the breakfast area wasvery nice, friendly and helpful. Front desk staff was very nice and friendly too. The hotel is close to I-77 and can be noisy in the guest rooms.

Good stopover. There did not seem to be much close for restaurants but I did not go looking Just crashed after a long day of driving. Breakfast was good with some extras of pre-made eggs, sausage biscuits and sausage gravy. Breakfast area is a bit small but adequate

From the moment I arrived to the moment I checked out. All the employees were not just courteous, they make me feel that I was the reason for their to have a job. I want to praise Latoya. She was the breakfast attendant. Her smile literally make all the guest feel comfortable and happy to be there.

I stayed here again in June and more recently as a last minute deal in October, My most recent stay the first of October was when the hurricane threat was approaching and it was raining constantly. We were here for two days. I was here running a bass tournament on Norman but don't hold my ignorance against me. Check in was a breeze and let me say this again, the king suite rooms were cheaper than regular rooms. We got to the room and there was an issue but we were quickly put in another room. The staff at check in was great and one of these days I will remember names. The room was great and it was very spacious. The bathrooms are a little smaller but who cares, The living area was big. Everything in the room worked flawlessly and the king bed slept great. I had to cancel the second day of my tournament due to weather and even though I got back late I was not charged a second night. Also as a side note there were rooms getting a makeover. I still highly recommend this property.

The bed in our room was great. The room was clean. Breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. We slept very good until a loud barking dog across the hall woke us up early in the morning. Overall it was a good stay.

We spent one night here as we had an event to attend in Statesville. Check in was easy. We went to our room and encountered the smell of cigarette smoke as we entered the breezeway. Our room was on the 1st floor and smelled gross. I thought it just needed a bit of airing out. We left the room for dinner and returned later that night and the smell had not dissipated but we went ahead and went to bed. The overall smell in the room was one of dampness and just kind of grossness. I will say that NC has had rain every day for the previous 7 days but the smell should've been obvious to the person who had cleaned the room and they should've said something to management. We got up early the next morning and were greeted by a bland breakfast and an inattentive clerk at the front desk. I did alert her to the situation in the room and she thanked me for telling her. Overall not a great experience. Staff seems to use the breezeway exit for smoking and the smell wafts into the breezeway itself. One of my friends who also stayed here said that they pulled the bed cover down to get into bed and saw that the sheets were covered in hair, leaves, and dirt. Seeing as they were already dressed for bed, they just opted to get new sheets from the front desk and remake the bed.

Never stay here. Beds had hair, dirt and leaves in them. We asked for clean sheets and had to go to the front desk get them and change our own sheets. We will not be staying at a best western again. At breakfast the orange juice and apple juice machine was broken.

Clean. hotel, but NO ELEVATOR. Breakfast was adequate but not exceptional. The TV quit working. We did not report since we were getting ready to leave. Overall, the hotel was adequate, but I am glad we didn't pay any more than we did.

For us this was a quick stop enroute to Atlanta. We were looking for and found a basic, clean overnight stop. The rooms and bathrooms could use an upgrade, but the price was right! The front desk clerk was very nice and our breakfast server Latoya was so attentive and welcoming. Note to management: these human faces can raise an ordinary hotel property to a much higher level of satsfaction to the guest!
