Best Western Plus Windjammer Inn & Conference Center

Excellent hotel, excellent service and very clean. Beds sooo comfortable I will definitely we doing back every time I am in the area.

It's hard to explain because there was nothing outstanding to point to. It simply met expectations for a midrange chain hotel. But it met them PERFECTLY. No single thing was out of the ordinary. But scoring 100%, getting EVERYTHING right, IS out of the ordinary. Starting with regular hangers in the closet, not the theft-resistant kind. (No, we didn't steal any, but I hate places that signal "we think you might.") A real adjustable office swivel chair at the table. A second ordinary, but high-quality cushioned chair. We didn't use the laundry but I notice that it had comfortable armchairs to sit in while waiting. Every lamp in the room had two extension sockets in the base. All worked. On each side of the bed, they didn't just dump extra pillows, they put two DIFFERENT pillows. One was big, thick, and soft. The other was flatter, denser, and firmer. For sleeping I chose the flatter one, my wife chose the thicker one. The bedside clock was set to the right time. The lobby had a coffee machine made by Keurig, no fussing with pods, all supplies inside. Available 24/7, I assume. It ground the beans for each cup and made pretty decent coffee. The free breakfast was, at first glance, your absolutely standard motel breakfast-included breakfast. It's hard to explain: it was all GOOD. None of it was pro forma. They weren't mailing it in. All good stuff. All gadgets (bagel toaster, pancake machine) worked. The pats of butter were butter from a dairy I'd heard of... that sort of thing. Breakfast hours started at 6 a.m. I appreciated this because I'm an early riser. This was the eclipse weekend, and we were paying an uh... exorbitant... room rate, so you could say everything darn well SHOULD be perfect. But it WAS. They lugged out dozens of (heavy) chairs from the conference center and set them up on the lawn, for comfortable eclipse viewing. I mean, sure, why not, on the one hand you'd expect that, but on the other, well, they DID it. We ate twice at the associated Windjammer Inn restaurant. The actual restaurant section had a long wait if you didn't have a reservation, but the "Upper Deck Pub" had no waiting and, I believe, the same menu or close to it. The service there was fast and the food was good. I wouldn't have driven 200 miles for the restaurant, like everything else, not extraordinary--but your basic Good Restaurant. I wouldn't doubt that locals come to the restaurant just to eat out. Typical a la carte "entree" choices were around $20. Yeah, if we ever are in Burlington again, this is where we'll stay next time.

Great Location central to everything. Stayed because of long hospital visit for wife, they have a discount for that. The place is clean, Staff is friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast is convenient and good. They have a free shuttle service to and from the hospital which is great to relieve the pressure of driving and parking. Also a really great restaurant, I didn't eat there this trip but have a few time before when I have been in Burlington. Thank you for the stay.

The staff were friendly, the breakfast layout had a good variety to begin the day, and the room was clean. Easy in/out for location and a gas station nearby. Cookies and milk as an added bonus at night

I have high expectations when I go somewhere. The Water Pressure was Low on the 4th floor and the Internet was spotty at best. I had to go downstairs to the Entry area to get a better signal to do my homework. And the Lack of a Shuttle to the Bus Station was Costly and an Inconvenience.

Nothing fancy but a well maintained establishment that has clean and comfortable rooms. Continental breakfast was free and plenty. The staff is welcoming and useful. There is plenty of free parking and , if willing, within walking distance of downtown Burlington. We walked there and took a cab back. We had a pleasant 24h. Recommended for the price.

Last minute booking and they were very helpful as I was in town for a dog seminar. Room was clean and he located me close to an exit for easy access with the dogs. Check in and out was uneventful and he was very helpful when I forgot my dogs stainless steel water pail.

Hotel is older, but it's all here. beds are comfy and the staff is great. Heard a dog bark when I walked to my room.. don't love that. Good snack/food selection, easy parking.. Good vibe overall. Late night desk clerk was THE BEST ever, had our room keys waiting for us!!!! Can't tell you how often THAT NEVER HAPPENS, this guy rules!! Heat was on ready for the Burlington nights. No complaints

Great all around, except at the "Upper Deck" restaurant. A few conservative, older men, sitting at the bar, openly, unnecessarily, and aggressively reacted to my "Bernie" T-Shirt. The Bartender, and older man with a gray ponytail did not see fit to correct this behavior that made me and my partner upset, and made four other patrons "roll their eyes" with disgust. Not safe/not welcoming.

Great location in the Burlington area. We have stayed at the Windjammer many times and have had a lovely experience each time. Rooms are clean, breakfast is included, and there is a great selection, including eggs, muffins, meat choices, and several other breakfast items. Coffee is good. The staff is super helpful at the front desk, breakfast, and housekeeping. We like the bar and restaurant on the property. Close to shopping and universities.

After many stays over the past 2 years at the Best Western in S Burlington VT, I am happy to say that it has been a very accommodating and positive experience staying at this hotel. The rooms are clean, the service is great, and the consistency is exceptional.

This hotel is the perfect option for a stay in Burlington. It has all the amenities and super friendly staff! The place was very clean and the kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Kelsey at the front desk was fantastic!

This was a good place to stay while visiting family in the area. It was convenient to the highways. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was average for this level hotel. We had no issues with anything while there.

Thank you Windjammer! We were a group hockey team staying at the hotel Saturday night. Management allowed us to use a meeting room to watch a movie well after our curfew. The kids were contained and everyone had fun. Also, a big thank you goes out to the front desk and security guard for the assist. I am in the lodging industry and this property has always had an excellent reputation. They lived-up to it on Saturday. Guestrooms were also super clean and comfortable. Thank you again!

The hotel is a quick 1.5 miles from the airport. We experienced an Easy and quick check in and check out and comfortable and quiet rooms. The breakfast was fresh and varied. There was something for all of us. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This was a wonderful stay. It was close to the airport and the staff were very personable and welcoming. The room was clean and had a great view of camels hump at sunrise. Jeff is top notch if you run across him at the front desk. Highly recommend.

Great hotel, great location conveniently located to all major highways so you can get everywhere fairly quickly and nothing is too far away, very clean, friendly staff. Super clean room. Coffee in the lobby is fantastic, and wonderful options (I think I had about 5 cups a day). Clean pool and surrounding area. Nice landscaping. Nice long time in breakfast area and the breakfast is wonderful, lots of options and all fresh and constantly refilled, the dining area is also very clean. Very popular and busy restaurant/bar on site. My only gripe was that I am a very light sleeper so I requested a quiet location and every morning at 4:30 I was awakened by big trucks backing up and beeping and parking right outside my window; this was every morning. So it was very tough for me to get a solid nights sleep.

Overall, one of the best hotel experiences we have had. We loved the pool and exercise room. And the fresh baked cookies in the lobby. The coffee machine with all the options - espresso, etc - was excellent. Nice roomy lobby. Beds super comfortable. Everything was super clean. I appreciate your cleaning schedule as being per request except on 3rd day - much more environmentally friendly. The pub was great too. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend highly!

Excellent and friendly accommodations and service. Motel was close to local retail and to nearby spots to explore, as well as Church Street Marketplace, which was a fun area to visit. Plenty of breakfast choices and a clean room.

Unfortunately I feel the reviews for this hotel may be fake. Nice space but poor finishing overall. There is poor sound proofing between rooms and between floors. Furniture is dated and poorly organized without much thought. The main corridors are not air conditioned giving the hotel an overall dump feel especially in summer months. You could get better deal for same price at many near by options. Too many work crew staff using hotel so not exactly holiday feel.

I choose Best Western because of their comfy beds and pillows! Always clean and quiet stays, along with great free breakfast. I am also pleased with their offers and points with every stay. Will definitely choose the Best Western motel above all others when available.

Best Western has great value and all the amenities I feel they my husband and I find make a better stay at any hotel. Hope to visit one of one of your hotels in the near future. Best western will be my first choice from now on.

It was an average Best Western. While the rooms were clean, they were very damp. In fact, I'd often return to damp sheets every day after work. While the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, the food was very bland. The Windjammer Restaurant, however, was the highlight of my stay! Their food was fabulous! Overall, a 3/5 if you are in town for a business trip, mainly b/c of the delicious restaurant.

The Windjammer in Burlington, Vermont has a problem - it is high demand. That makes for very low value for the rate charged. The room itself was clean when we arrived but the laminate floors were sticky. It also had a slightly damp odour throughout the hotel.

Clean room, friendly staff, nice pools and restaurant. Cleaning service not available during our stay (extra linens available at the front desk, if needed), and breakfast was basic but fresh. Bed was super soft and walls are paper thin, but overall it was a great place to stay.

Complementary hot breakfast and airport shuttle were so convenient. When looking at hotel stay prices, this hotel is comparable but will added Complementary features makes this stay a high value. I recommend.

It was a very nice stay. The family and I enjoyed the hotel very much, The staff was awesome. They went above and beyond for my whole family. They even assisted with helping us find a different route home because of the flood. I would highly recommend staying at this location.

Nice cold air conditioned room and the breakfast was good! Pretty good location, but we wished the restaurant was open while we were there. Moses was a lot of fun as we checked in. We didn't use the pools, but we will next time.

We've stayed at this hotel for years. The staff is always welcoming, friendly, and prompt to handle any concerns. The rooms and public areas are clean and well kept. Breakfast is complete and very good. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Facility is normally quite quiet. Very convenient location. Excellent quality for real good price.

Room was small but clean and well appointed Hotel is dated decor but comfortable- heater was noisy till we figured out adjustments- we were there to sleep as we had early morning appointment at UVM hospital. We like the Windjammer being so close- good food

I always stay here when I'm in town for work. Great Restaurant and bar area, 2 pools, and close to tons of stuff to do, no matter what time of year.. Very friendly staff , Always clean and homey. Breakfast area is always clean and well attended.

The room was very clean! The breakfast was exactly what I would want hot and lots of variety! Pool was warm and clean. Cookies and milk at 8:00 was amazing! The location was very close to downtown Burlington and amazing!!

We visited this area for a family funeral. The staff was excellent and very friendly and accomadating. This is a great place to stay if your in this area. The breakfast is wonderful and the hotel is very clean and quiet

The Windjammer restaurant is an amazing option for great food while visiting Burlington Vermont. The food is great, the portions were large, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Not very often do I not finish my plate, tonight was one of theirs nights. I could not finish what was given to me, so I am looking forward to the leftovers of my prime rib and mashed potatoes.

We were in the area for a 1 night stay. Excellent staff interaction, 5 stars for cleanliness, housekeeping was excellent, and a good variety on the breakfast buffet. Beds were comfortable. Good wifi reception. Good value for the locale. Would return.

Easy check in/out and had a selection of what floor we wanted to stay on. Located not too far from Church Street. Beds were comfy and TV channel selection was great for Football Sunday. Continental breakfast was great!! Price wasn't too expensive although it was a weekday visit. Will be looking to stay here again in the future.

I stayed at the Best Western while vending an art show and had a very pleasant experience! Very friendly staff, clean room, and good, hot breakfast. The warm nightly cookies were a huge plus! The location is also excellent.

Great Hotel, could use some upgrades, but clean! Its really nice to just go to the attached pub for a drink and not have to drive back to a hotel. The only complaint is the mattress... was sinking towards the middle....

Great stay! Clean and tidy! Convenient location to University of Vermont and a mall (including Target, Kohl's, Barnes & Noble, etc.) We were in town on a family trip and also enjoyed nearby local diner, Al's French Frys, which was one of the few places opened to eat past 9pm.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend. We were happy with the cleanliness of the room and the breakfast options. It is a bit noisy when people walk in the halls but other than that it was very nice. Bed was comfortable but queen room was a little small.

We had an emergency trip, and this Best Western Windjammer Inn was the most amazing Inn! They helped us in accommodations and travel to and from the airport. They willingly gave us information on where to go for the Hospital and offered help in getting to and from there. I do not know how we would have managed without them. They were so kind and courteous in our time of stress!

I stayed in Oct 2022 in a pet friendly room. The front desk greeted me with a warm, friendly smile and was helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and the mattress and bedding were comfortable. Very good experience.

For parents weekend a great choice close to the college. The restaurant on site was a fantastic bonus. It was easy to get in and off the highway. It was very clean. The front desk staff was very helpful.

The hotel is spread out over 2 floors and is easy to access. The rooms are large and clean, as is the bathroom. The rooms have a fridge microwave, coffee and tea facilities, as well as TV and free WiFi. Our room has 2 large beds. Coffee and tea is available in the foyer. There are 2 swimming pools, but we only used the indoor pool which was nicely heated. Changing rooms are not provided, so deciding how to go to and from the pool is a dilemma. You could use the adjacent gym toilet to change in, but it didn't have a lock on it!! Breakfast is included in the room price but is rather basic. The restaurant is adjacent to the hotel and is the Windjammer Inn, which we used couple of times. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff but the food was a little disappointing.

Great location and close to most attractions. Comfortable and quiet rooms. Hearty breakfast to get you started in the day. Would stay again. Good for couples and families. Parking is very convenient to unload luggage.

Hotel was fine for $85, not for $415. Room was old, and smelled very badly. We had to open the windows. Towels were thin and bath was yucky, we opted not to shower. It was a very busy time of year in Burlington so all of the prices were high. I think we should have slept in the car or airport for this price.

I have stayed at this BW many times. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Kelsey is the best she will try to accommodate you the best she can. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast has plenty to choose from and is acceptable.

Plenty of parking the desk clerks received us nicely and got to us quickly to check us in. Room was clean and pleasant. The only downfall is there was nothing around for a short drive or walking distance to eat or have a couple of cocktails.

We made a last minute decision to get a room and this was the 2nd one we tried. A little pricey because of our poor Canadian dollar but the hotel was GREAT! They have 2 pools in and out; a satisfactory gym; a wonderful breakfast, included; and they allowed us to stay 2 extra hours which worked out wonderfully for us to meet up with friends! I would highly recommend it!!!

We had an excellent stay at this BW. We were in a block of rooms reserved for a family wedding. We were put in rooms near each other, which was very helpful Our rooms were very comfortable. The pool was clean and the breakfasts were excellent.

Nice stay at the BW Windjammer, outdoor pool, free breakfast in a nicely wooded area. Nice area for relieving your dog, doggie poo bags available & disposal. Rooms on the small size but comfortable beds and very clean.

Hotel is significantly overpriced for size of rooms. Having a restaurant on-site is a great amenity because you truly can't spend any time in the tiny rooms if you are traveling with friends or family. The floor map is extremely confusing. Staff didn't check rooms before guest arrival. One of our rooms didn't have working AC or refrigeration on a 90 degree day. They fixed the problem but it took a very long time for the room to cool down. Rooms also missing TV remotes and smelled like pee. Staff was friendly.

We were very impressed by the outstanding customer service as well as the many wonderful extras that our Burlington Vt Best Western provided for us. Warm delicious breakfasts, cookie time in the evening, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a restaurant on site. Highly recommend.

Stayed at this hotel many times. It is clean and the restaurant, although expensive, has very good food. This trip involved an outpatient surgery at UVM. I made a few simple requests with several people, like clean sheets the night of my surgery and a quieter room. We returned from the hospital that evening to a room that had not been touched, no beds made, no clean towels and out of facial tissues. To me, this was unacceptable considering I had spoken to several people about my situation. I will not be staying here again.

We always stay here when we travel to Burlington. It's very clean and the housekeeping staff does a great job. The rooms are spacious and it's in a great location. It's pet friendly so we can bring our dog with us. The staff is very kind and friendly. Dylan was fantastic and super helpful! I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel does not look much from the outside. The building itself is quite dull and located near a major road. However, our stay there was surprisingly nice! The room was clean and quite cosy. There was a good gym with treadmills. The breakfast buffet offered something for every taste including some healthier options. The staff at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Really good value for the money! Would definitely stay again.

I reserved my stay for 197.01. Due to my flight being cancelled as were over 1700 other people's flight. Best Western told me that they understood and that I would be able to stay the next day at the same price no worries. I stayed at the hotel for less than 8 hours and was charged 396.51 almost 200.00 more than what I was supposed to then after explaining she later became rude and walked away to take care of someone else.

Overall clean, quiet and would be nice for a group of people to stay at one location,hotel with accessibility to many places to eat, shop and visit. Indoor & outdoor pool. Nice restaurant on premises, if you don't want to venture out. Great Bagel place next door!!

Came here for a special occasion . The hotel is so very clean and it has two pools and indoor and outdoor and a nice fitness center as well .The breakfast setup is just fine with some nice choices . Of note : The drain in my shower wasn't functioning properly .Also the place is over run with catapillers outside . You'll be dodging them all over if you've come to stay in early June .Stiil in all it's a great place to stay .

Travelled most recently for convocation and made many trips over the last 4 years. The Windjammer supports UVM athletics and offers good rates to family. Staff always friendly and accommodating. Upper Deck is a great place to meet before games.

Great hotel to spend the night, especially if you are traveling with your pets. I and my two toy poodles loved it. The free breakfast had a great selection of both hot and cold foods. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Ckean property, clean rooms; thoughtful staff. Shuttle drivers (to & from airport & UVM Medical Center facilities) were a bit disoriented and dictatorial. VERY HANDY to have excellent Windjammer Restaurant on site.

Counter and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. They get the basics right in the rooms: hot shower, comfortable bed and soft sheets, fridge, coffee, and microwave. I liked that I could open the window and could turn off the heat/fan if I wanted to. I often sleep poorly in hotels because it is too dry and I can't control the blower—which is also noisy. Slept well here!

Not sure why the fabulous reviews. Except staff was fabulous. Room was tiny. Bathroom dated and tiny — difficult to reach shower to turn it on. Breakfast was a near disaster. So incredibly crowded with a long line. Coffee really awful. Adequate. That's it.

Was good enough for what we were doing. Just a simple 1 night stay and off to the airport. Love love loved the security guard / shuttle bus driver. He was so friendly and kind. Definitely an under appreciated staff member who deserves the recognition from guests! Room was clean no issues there. WiFi worked good for the simple social media stuff. Didn't use zoom or anything like that. Never used the pool or gym so can't comment on that. Overall a decent stay with an exceptional shuttle driver!!

The front desk staff are truly amazing! They all go above and beyond to make sure my needs are met.. which always happens! I've been coming once a week for a year, and they've worked with me price wise, given me some free upgrades occasionally. And just have made my difficult situation MUCH easier. This has been my home away from once a week and thus staff has made it much easier on me! I cannot thank them all enough. The restaurant attached is AMAZING! the rooms are always tidy, and clean. No complaints here! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It was my first time visiting Vermont, and especially wanted to check out Burlington. I had Best Western Rewards points, so I redeemed them at the BW Windjammer Inn. The restaurant seafood was delicious, and very convenient being on hotel grounds. The hotel was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast food was delicious. Also, I loved the milk and chocolate chip cookies being offered at 8pm. Delicious. Keep the milk and cookies. I enjoyed my stay here.

Plenty of other hotels in area, don't pick this one! Pets allowed and could hear dog barking in room across the hall. Our room was full of dog hair. Not good for someone with animal allergies! Breakfast was OK, but way too crowded and had to wait for food to come out.

nice place .a bit noisy , the walls are not soundproof. the day we were leaving we asked for a late check out. We got 4 knocks on the door between 10 and 11>30 for house keeping. they even knocked and oppened the door while my wife was showering and i was changing. this was at 10 am. luckily the door was still had the safety lock on.

Last minute trip to Burlington. Found the entrance to the hotel at the rear of the building. Did not have a reservation. Night clerk was very helpful in securing a discounted rate.Close to college campus and downtown amenities.

Visited Burlington Vermont on several occasions to visit my daughter at the University. Wish I knew about this hotel a lot sooner! Great stay for a very reasonable price! It will be my go-to destination for the remainder of my daughter's education!

I could not say enough positive things about the front desk staff and the staff that brought me to and from the hospital daily. They were friendly, accommodating, prompt. It made my stay a little better while my husband was in the hospital.

Great place to stay when traveling. I live across the lake and must take a ferry to get to VT. With a 5:40am flight, it was much nicer & less stressful driving over the day before. Plus, you can leave your car there and their shuttle service will take you to airport, then return to pick you up when you get back, They have a wonderful restaurant & pub for beverages & awesome meals as well. They have cookies @ 8pm for you to enjoy if you desire, as well as breakfast in hotel, if you're not leaving too early. The rooms have everything you need, are clean & comfortable. I have stayed there before and would definitely stay again, should the opportunity arise.

Great place to stay in Burlington.Close to Church Street, Lake Champlain, the breweries, and the University of Vermont. Book early though, prices will go up. Awesome restaurant on location as long as it is open.

Exceptional service from all staff, very clean rooms, comfortable soft bed, ample parking and well lit parking area with attentive security, extremely convenient location to major routes, restaurants, shops and attractions nearby. Even an indoor pool and shuttle services (and a conference center, so great for businesses/conferences I would think.) Definitely recommend, and will stay here when in this area again for both business or tourism.

we like this place a lot: good breakfast(we were surprised by the excellent breakfast selections), free coffee and cookies, comfy room, and right next to Higher Ground. I would definitely stay here again.

Quick 1 night trip to Burlington, ski chores and early Xmas shopping in Church St. area. Location a plus, Restaurant/Pub on site makes for relaxed evening, exercise room and pool small, but clean ,room well stocked, ref/micro, and spotless,check in/out easy, everyone very professional and breakfast,pleasant surprise! No pack and go, instead, hot eggs, bacon, steel cut oatmeal, along with cereals,breads etc. Would stay here again, no question.

We picked the Best Western for the purpose of location, pool and the reputation of the Best Western name. I was so happy to hear that this hotel had an indoor and an outdoor pool and that it opened very early. I think it was 6 or 7am. Anyway, I was up when it opened and I did my early morning lap swim. I had it to myself and the pool was a wonderful size. Also, the walk to the waterfront was about 1.5 miles and the airport was about a mile away. This was the perfect spot to end our Vermont vacation. Thank you, Jeffrey, on the smooth process of our check out at 5am and for taking our gift cards off of our bill. Your customer service was outstanding.

This is a GREAT hotel when flying out of the Burling airport, which is a short distance to the hotel. Convenient shuttle to/from the airport. The room was comfortable and quiet. Although a little worn around the edges and on the small side, the room was clean and adequate.. The front staff was pleasant and efficient. The restaurant was excellent! (try their prime rib) The complimentary breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious.

Lesson learned. Deciding at the last second to drive through New Hampshire and Vermont during the peak leaf turning season, we hadn't reserved a hotel. Getting desperate, we finally found a room at this best western hotel in Burlington VT. The most we have ever paid for a room, $479.00. We knew that it was our fault for waiting so long, however, the place was more like a $69.00 dollar place. Dirty, no updates, breakfast was also a mess. I understand the economics for charging more for times of high demand, but, they should be embarrassed for charging that much for a below facility. The staff were extremely nice and helpful.

We loved the rooms, proximity, food, atmosphere and service.. great place to stay in Burlington .. the hotel and the area had everything we needed to make the trip feel relaxed and easy, would recommend it to anyone who wants a home away from home..

Very clean. When I asked for early checkin the room was ready. The only thing was signage for hotel registration. A little confusing. If you came in from the main road and turned toward their restaurant you would see a sign for hotel registration pointing you down a sidewalk. When you got to the door you needed your room key to unlock the door. The actual entrance for the hotel was behind the buildings. A sign as you entered showing restaurant one way and actual checkin the other.

Best Western is our new go to hotel. First experience was in New Orleans. Without a thought, we booked our Vermont trip with BW. We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was very helpful and wonderful. Room was very clean. Breakfast was great. Centrally located.

The room was clean and comfortable and the restaurant was excellent! The bed and pillows wete great! No sore back or neck. The room temperature was easy to control . Have the prime rib there if you get a chance! The only negative was the price. It seems much more costly then other Best Westerns that were similar. But there were few in the area with lots of road in between and we got one of the last rooms so that probably played a part.

Everyone at the hotel was friendly. Rooms were clean. Hot breakfast was served. The rooms were decorated well and amenities at the hotel were good. Plenty of parking and hotel is located in a great spot near food and shops.

I always try to book this hotel, because of the convenience to the airport, and the amazing food at the Windjammer Restaurant on property. The staff has also always been very helpful, friendly and efficient.

First off there was hair in our shower, WHATEVER… we can wash that down the drain! So it's midnight and we go to crawl into our bed! We pull down the sheets just to see long black hairs and sand all over the bed as if it had been slept in!!! We called for fresh blankets and ended up being put into a suit that wasn't much better! I mean it was cleaner and the bed was amazing but that's about the best part of this hotel! The sink in the suit was clogged and when the water was on hot it stunk terribly! I'm very satisfied with the young lady who was on the night shift that Friday night! She was very kind about the situation! As we checked out Sunday late morning the cleaner (whose got long black hair) had her what seemed to be boyfriend there with her, all upon her! So maybe that's why our bed was dirty in the first room! We won't ever be going back and staying there!

Very convenient location, although a challenge to locate the entrance. Small sign and hotel is set back from main road. Restaurant was extremely good with a wide variety of choices. Rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable.

Stayed in family suite. Two lamps didn't work. Room had distinctive smell like wet socks. Discovered toilet was leaking soiled water from base when flushed. Reported around 10:15 pm, no maintenance crew on staff until 7 a.m. the next morning. Luckily the suite is 2 connected rooms so there was another toilet for us to use but we had to close off the one bathroom completely. This hotel could be very nice if they raised wages enough to hire more maintenance staff.

Me and my wife lived in the Greater Burlington area for 25 years before retiring to Florida. During our time there we found the Windjammer and Upper Deck Pub to be the goto places for meals and socializing. We always absolutely loved the experience in the restaurant and the pub. Earlier this month we had a local family event that brought us back to Burlington. We knew our experience with this business had been stellar so we reserved a three night stay at their Best Western Hotel. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. The front desk service was friendly and inviting, the room made us feel like we walked directly into our own home... totally comfy. It was clean and well appointed. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job. There was nothing to want. The hotel location is also perfect. Travel to all areas of the region is very convenient. I can't recommend this place more highly. Give it a try, you'll love it!

A couple of years ago, I needed to find a hotel at the very last minute in San Diego. The Best Western Plus was reasonably priced and not too far from the airport. I honestly was not expecting very much at all. When I did arrive and entered my room I was incredibly satisfied. I've been a fan of Best Western Plus ever since. The Best Western Plus in Burlington Vermont was every bit as nice as the one I stayed in in San Diego. The staff was incredibly friendly and Incredibly helpful. The room was everything I hoped for. The Windjammer Restaurant has phenomenal food and exceptional service.

Front desk very friendly and always helpful. Rooms were clean, housekeeping doesn't come every day due to COVID restrictions but gave us anything we needed at a moments notice and emptied garbage in record time when sticking basket in hallway. . Breakfast was grab and go but plenty of options. The pub above the restaurant food was delicious! Wish I had more nights to eat there. Overall great time away.

This was 3rd time staying at this location & continues to be my 1st choice each subsequent stay in VT. Accommodations are nice, always neat & clean and staff is always pleasant & professional & available around the clock.

The staff are always friendly, rooms clean and comfortable beds. Close to daughters school, UVM, so we've stayed here many times. Restaurants always have good food. We have also stayed with our dog at this hotel.

We were given a room amongst customers with pets without our knowledge. The people in the room across from us left the dog unattended in the evening and the following late afternoon. The dog barked incessantly. Management could not move us due to room unavailability.

horrible place. first of all, the front desk woman was super rude to me in checkin. then, they had upgrades from comcast during the middle of the week and none of the TV's worked--the front desk person said, "Hey I dont work for Comcast...sorry buddy". Then the internet didnt work The rooms were super expensive for the are-- about 150 a night and the room was cramped and cheap with all sorts of things not working. i had asked for a quiet room and they put us next to screaming kids, barking dogs right in the middle of the hotel. absolutely woudnt move us. the breakfast offering were really awful and the microwave was broken, the coffee cold, and most things out. DO NOT STAY AT THE BEST WESTERN WINDJAMMER

I needed a pet-friendly room for a reasonable price. This property is older but it was clean and safe, with a friendly staff, comfortable beds and pillows, and a decent breakfast (given that it's Covid). Would not hesitate to stay here again if I'm in the area.

Great stay in an easy location! Traveling with two young kids can be hectic but this location was very accommodating to our needs. Our room and the pool area were both clean and the scheduling process to use the pool was super simple. Plenty to do in the area!

Hotel is nice, staff is friendly, pool is great, but the beds are so uncomfortable. Due to the uncomfortablity of the beds my family and I didn't sleep well at all and suffered with backaches the next day.

Stayed here for 7 nights while our kitchen was being remodelled. Allowed both an early check in and late checkout. Wonderful staff at both the hotel and adjoining Windjammer restaurant where we ate 4 times during the week. Many thanks to Carrie, Amy and Evan along with Jeff , Casey, and Kelsey at the hotel. Highly recommend this place to stay and eat.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was friendly and nice. Also the food there is great! I would recommend staying here. Very close to ski areas.They also offer a continental breakfast which is great when you are rushing out to get to the mountain. Thanks for everything !!

I called Charly the manager the night before and he set me up with a room and asked me qualifying questions for any rebates or discounts, I extremely appreciate it. The restaurant out front was top class and was very convenient.! I'm definitely going back! O

Bill didn't reflect the cost which we were told over the phone. Other guests were very loud. But the hotel staff was nice and we could have the dog with us cheaply. Also they had a crib we could use for our infant. Which was great to have.

This was our second time staying at the Windjammer, but the first in the Covid era. We were able to take care of all of the check-in details online the day before, so when we arrived, all we needed to do was pick up our keys from the front desk (which of course, has plexiglass). I had called the day before to see if we might be able to check in early and was told it was likely, but to call 30-60 mins before arrival so that they could confirm (we were driving there, so that was easy for us to do). When I called, they were able to confirm we would be able to check in right away -- which we were very thankful for as Covid makes it a little more difficult to "kill time" waiting for a room. In all of my interactions, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We once again booked the family suite which was terrific. It meant none of our kids had to share a bed and there was a table and chairs which allowed us to pick up food and eat in the room. Due to Covid, we didn't spend any time in the common areas of the hotel, but everything seemed clean. The hotel is incredibly convenient to UVM, and we won't hesitate to stay here again.

We reserved 2 - 2 bedroom suites for the Christmas holiday. The accommodations were perfect! Clean, spacious rooms and great location. Staff was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed as there was limited dining options available. Will definitely stay here again...and definitely in the 2 bedroom suite!

We stayed at this hotel for one night. Charlie was exceptional in helping us with everything we needed. He was knowledgeable about the hotel and friendly when answering any questions we had. We asked to checkout at 12 instead of 11, and he offered us a 1pm checkout instead, which was super thoughtful. Charlie is definitely an asset to this hotel. In the morning, we were trying to find the breakfast room, and the staff (i believe maintenance) in the lobby enthusiastically guided us there. Everyone we encountered here was SO friendly, even if they were not the front desk staff. This location has mastered customer service.

We have stayed in this hotel twice. We will stay here again. The location is close to food and drinks as well as onsite bar. The pool was nice and clean and the staff are friendly. The pet friendly rooms are a bit small but manageable.

So, I haven't actually stayed there yet, as the event that was planned has been rescheduled for 2021. But I have to say that if the rest of the staff is half as helpful, professional, patient and friendly as Kelsey Cole, who quickly and efficientlyt handled my cancellation and rebooking request, then I fully expect that my review next year will also be 5 star. She is a credit to her employer.

Our stay at the South Burlington Best Western was great. Amando and Kelsey made sure that everything ran smoothly and anniversary was great. As always everything was just perfect... From the service to a cleanliness and the pool.

I am glad my family and l chose this hotel to stay in yesterday. It is a nice hotel with an excellent customer service. Armando was at the help desk. He was very helpful and tried to help and answered our questions.

Great place to stay. The staff both at the hotel and restaurant are exceptional. Rooms are very clean and updated. The Windjammer restaurant and Upper Deck pub are wonderful. The beer is cold and the food is great!

As a family of five (which includes 3 teens), we often have to get 2 hotel rooms as frequently the max occupancy for a room is 4. I was pleasantly surprised to see the family suite option that not only fit 5, but also allowed each teen to have his/her own bed (2 doubles + sleeper sofa) - plus they had a separate bathroom. The 2 room suite was very spacious and we never felt crowded. Everyone in the family was happy with the arrangement. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. We also found it convenient that there is an onsite restaurant/bar (a short walk outside from the main section of the hotel). The hotel is very conveniently located near UVM. While it is a short drive to Church St, it does have many stores, restaurants, etc nearby. All in all, we would definitely stay here again next time we are in Burlington. One thing to note, the reception entrance is on the back side of the hotel. The restaurant entrance is on the front side.

Spent two nights here in mid-March, clean comfortable room, spotless. Quiet. Excellent buffet breakfast terrific indoor pool. Homemade chocolate chip cookies and milk in the lobby at 8 PM. Friendly helpful staff, just an excellent stay.

When I travel to Burlington, I choose a different hotel each time. Mainly because I am there when it's peak season, or it's parents weekend for the local colleges, so trying to secure a room at a particular hotel can be a challenge. However, when I booked this stay, for one night, I reviewed the hotel and its' offerings thoroughly before making a reservation. I asked for a non-pet room. Why pets are now becoming a normal thing for everyone to have to deal with is another story! One would think, that since I specifically requested this particular room, that it would make sense that my room would be located next to other non-pet rooms, right? No. I was situated in-between two rooms that each housed two very large dogs who barked all night. I was beyond frustrated, as I had booked this room two months prior to my stay. The hotel itself is very clean, the staff is super helpful and friendly, the fitness room and pool are always an added bonus for me, and the proximity to the Windjammer restaurant was great! But I can certainly live without the ignorance of dog owners who insist on bringing their pets everywhere these days. I did not sleep, I was completely frustrated by the entire experience. I would highly recommend that the Best Western adopt a policy to place folks with pets on one floor, in one section of the hotel, as to not disturb others. Basic common sense, and common courtesy is all I ask.

I go to this hotel at least once or twice a year to pick up or drop off family members to catch a flight and I have always had a great stay! The employees are very friendly and I have had interaction with the customer service representatives at the front desk, housekeepers, maintenance, and the shuttle drivers. Kelsey even made this trip a little more special! Thank you for your kindness.

Clean rooms, good wifi, good breakfast, friendly staff. I found the bed to very comfortable. Added bonus of freshly baked cookies at 8PM made for an enjoyable stay. Large hotel and getting around can be a bit confusing. I noted it is of wood construction instead of concrete and most modern hotels are. This means the flooring squeaks a bit when you walk on it and at times you can hear loud neighbors. But we had no issues sleeping.

Stayed here and it was great. The staff were very helpful. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfy...very important! Plenty of options for breakfast....food was hot and very good. Check in and out was very quick and easy.

Nice hotel, excellent breakfast(included), very clean and friendly staff. My wife and I did not like the double bed, it was extremely small and made for uncomfortable 2 nights. My son who has the other double bed said it was very comfortable. My suggestion if traveling with spouse, get a bigger bed.

We stayed here for the sole purpose to take the kids swimming, and have some family time. We got our family time, but as we were entering the pool my daughter spotted something, and we were advised to get out of the pool and that it would be closed for 24 hours. I know accidents can totally happen, but unfortunately our stay was affected, as we literally brought our kids so that they could go swimming. The hotel was also over run by a hockey team. It felt like we were stuck in the middle. The team had their doors open, and were running from room to room, pizza boxes and trash scattered the hallway, and to top it off there was no where to sit to have breakfast in the AM, as the team had also taken over the breakfast area. Needless to say, we did not have a good stay, and were not even asked how our stay was when we checked out. Perhaps when large teams are staying, there could be a conference room set up for their dinners & their breakfasts? It's like I was staying with the group, but I was not a part of the group... I would not recommend this hotel for couples or young families who might be looking to take advantage of the pool, breakfast & sleep...

This was an overnight visit to South Burlington and we always choose this hotel to stay. They have renovated the lobby and moved the breakfast to the lower level. There is more space downstairs and a wide variety of items to choose from. Also they no longer use disposal cutlery or plates which is greatly appreciated. The breakfast area was spotless. Moving the breakfast downstairs enlarged the lobby with nice seating areas to relax and also computers to check your emails, flights, etc. It also improves the flow of the lobby as there is no more crowding when there are check-ins or check-outs. Overall the rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. Meghan at the front desk was very obliging and always smiling. You can't go wrong booking this hotel .

From the time that I stepped foot into the hotel until the time I left, the experience Was wonderful the hotel room was clean and safe, the gym had all the equipment I needed for a good workout, the restaurant had a wonderful mix of food and drinks, the Internet work perfectly, I will be coming back very soon.

This is my favorite place to stay when I visit family in Burlington. In addition to having a friendly, efficient staff the facility is clean, very nice, and reasonably priced. The pool is our main attraction. It is well maintained (if slightly chilly) and the enclosure is delightfully warm and a perfect place to be during a Burlington winter. There has never been a problem with my grandchildren joining me for a swim even though they are not staying with me.

We travel to Burlington regularly, but somehow this property was not on our radar until this trip (we travel with our 20 lb. French Bulldog - I guess we didn't realize they have pet-friendly rooms). The property is very nice, the people are friendly, the rooms are clean, and breakfast is included. The prices seem very reasonable, based on our stay. The attached restaurant is also very good. We will definitely go back.

Our crew tries to attend a few shows at Higher Ground each year and this is our GO TO over night stop. The hotel is conveiniently located, the staff is always friendly, and the Windjammer Upper Deck Pub is exactly what we want when it comes to dinner and a few adult beverages! We can't wait to make the trip again.

A one night stay for shuttle service to airport. Clean, comfortable accommodations. Breakfast was excellent, shuttle efficient. Windjammer restaurant next door. Highly recommend for a long or short stay.

GREAT STAY!! This was the location to stay with all the right amenities! Was right near the highway, had a pool and awesome restaurant, excellent WiFi, very comfortable beds/pillows, easy access to gas stations (and an urgent care facility which I needed during my earlier visit this year), and great friendly staff.

We were so happy to be able to bring a family dog along with the trip to pick up my son from college for Thanksgiving break. This hotel is a fantastic bargain and we always enjoy the complementary breakfast before we hit the road

It was a wonderful time. The bed was amazing, the TV had all the channels I wanted. It had a microwave and mini fridge, the pool was nice. I also checked out the fitness center for a bit and the breakfast was good!

The location was very easy to get to off the highway. Rooms are spacious and very clean. They provide a channel listing for each television in the room. Refrigerator is a really good size. Staff is friendly and helpful. THANK -YOU

This hotel was a great deal. I paid $114 per night and had a good stay. Breakfast had all options including eggs, bacon, sausages and waffles. Many types of teas! The pool was serene and warm. Fitness center was good. About a 10 minute ride from downtown and very close to the airport. For this price range, this hotel is fantastic.

Travel to Burlington often. Never stayed here before but will stay again. A great value compared to the major hotels downtown. Hotel is neat and clean and up to date. The only problem with the hotel it's a bit spreadout. The staff was friendly and helpful. Best Westren breakfasts are always better than most complimentery breakfasts and this location lived up to that tradition. The crown jewel of this hotel is the restaurant. Excellent in everyway. The menu has something for everyone from prime steaks to lobster. The restaurant is reason enough to stay here.

They upgraded us to a King suite and surprised us with a tray of delectable desserts ( that I'm guessing came from the Windjammer resteraunt) in our fridge when we returned from our evening. Shout out to Sukha,Megan,Callan, and Charlie, for making this happen. Rare to feel like family at a hotel, so thank you!! We could tell you love your job. Room was lovely and clean. Breakfast; sausage, bacon eggs waffles, fruit cereal and more.

Great location . Back from highway - so very quiet. Restaurant and lounge (Windjammer) are part of property. Buffet salad. Best prime rib we have tasted! Extensive wine list. About 1 hr. drive from Canadian border. Close to good shopping. Friendly staff. Great breakfast room and lots of choice.

I stay at the Best Western Windjammer regularly. The staff is always great and the Windjammer restaurant never disappoints. The breakfast buffet has a good assortment of foods too. The location is conveniently located right off of Interstate 89.

All at this facility practice hospitality, including managers, housekeepers, van drivers, and breakfast staff. Help readily available for directions, items travelers forget to pack, gluten free options on breakfast buffet, etc. Convenient location for Lake Champlain, University of Vermont campus and downtown restaurants. Only 2/10 mile from freeway. This is a large conference site as well with a decent restaurant on the premises. Only issues are single elevator and somewhat small guest rooms, The layout is such that only six steps separate landings between floors so most people can manage without the elevators. Van transportation is available to airport. We would come back as the pleasantness of staff is priceless.

Nothing really positive or negative to write about . . . until we were locked out of our room. Apparently the night lock on the door engaged on its own when we left the first morning . . . when we came back later in the day we could not get into our room . . . the key card opened the primary lock, but it obviously was useless against the night lock. When we notified the front desk, it took at least 15 minutes for someone to come and assist us (not good) . . . while the maintenance person worked with a little tool on the lock it was pretty obvious from the marks on the door that this was not the first time this had happened . . . not acceptable!

Dinner at the Windjammer including the salad bar were amazing! Our waitress was very helpful choosing our wine to pair with our meals. Entire staff was helpful and pleasant. Most important... the guest room was immaculate. The location is perfect distance from shops and restaurants down town. I would recommend this hotel to family & friends.

The Windjammer was just about perfect in every way. The room was spacious and clean, the free breakfast was excellent, it was in perfect position for the shops, restaurants and Burlington itself being just a ten minute drive away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I also guess it's in position A if you are using the Airport and I think they also offer a shuttle service (but please check as we didn't use it) we would definitely recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. PS there is also two very nice dining options on site, The upper deck pub and the windjammer restaurant.

Nice rooms dog friendly ,great upper deck pub. Stay here every time we come up to Burlington area. So much to see in this area. The lake view are great and are only a few minutes from the hotel. Try this hotel.

Only stayed for 1 night on what is typically the busiest weekend of the year in Vermont foliage season. What a great stay, food in the restaurant was great. Staff was friendly, professional, quick to help. I do work in the industry so am sometimes more observant than most guests. Everything was superior.

I stopped writing reviews for tripadvisor when I read that its CEO made $48 million in one years compensation (500 times the average wage of its employees) off my expertise and experience, and those of the other unpaid reviewers. However, my two night stay at the Best Western Windjammer was so outstanding, that I wanted to give its management the accolades it deserves. All of the basics are delivered perfectly-friendly efficient service, cleanliness, comfortable beds, bedding and pillows. intelligent lighting in the rooms, quiet rooms, good temperature control, window that opens etc. The included breakfast selection is great- everyone should be able to find a hot or cold breakfast to his/her liking (real maple syrup included). Then there are the many free amenities- free on demand shuttle to the airport (no waiting for group or time scheduled runs), cookies and milk in the lobby in the evening, apples and coffee all day in the lobby, coffee in the room, free WiFi, bathroom shelf for cosmetics (why do most hotels omit this?), plenty of fluffy towels, extra electrical outlets on the bedside table (no bending under dark corners to find needed outlets), computers and printer in the lobby, swimming pool, exercise room, cocktail lounge, and the excellent Windjammer Restaurant on the premises. This is the first lodging I have stayed in in several years where I have not even one tiny suggestion for improvement. Bravo to this hotel!

This hotel was very accommodating to receive and store our bikes and bags so that we could tour Vermont on our bikes!! They haven an airport shuttle as well. I was able to leave my bike at the front desk for UPS to pick up. They had to-go snack bags for an early morning departure, a basket of apples and cookies and milk at night.

We travel to Burlington on a regular basis for specialist appointment. We have done so for the last 20 years so have had an opportunity to try many places in Burlington. We keep coming back here for a variety of reasons. The rooms are always clean and in good shape, the staff is ALWAYS helpful and friendly and it is close to everything.

I was highly looking forward to this past weekend and getting up to Vermont to enjoy a nice sunrise hike with my wife and golden retriever. As I was looking for a dog friendly hotels, I was very excited to see best western had an option in South Burlington. Having stayed in many best westerns in the past, I was pretty confident I would receive a high-quality return for my money. Something that was very important to me given the high peak foliage season pricing. Sadly I was very wrong. As we were arriving Friday evening and planning on doing a sunrise hike on Saturday, my expectations were quite basic and simple. I needed clean beds, clean room, and hopefully quality sleep for a few hours before a 3 AM wake up. In fairness, at least the beds were clean. There is a clear breakdown in basic cleaning processes/protocols. Problems: 1. Brown stains on bathroom walls next to toilet. As we were preparing for bed, my wife went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and noticed brown spots all over the wall behind the toilet. They were very visible to the naked eye and never washed off. Hopefully someone was just throwing a cup of coffee into the garbage and splashed some on the wall. At least that is what I keep telling myself. 2. Dirty floors. Noting the stains on the bathroom walls my wife decided to take a face cloth and simply run it over the floor in front of the Toilet. The cloth Was very dirty after a simple single swipe. Clearly the floor had not been washed or clean thoroughly before our stay. The same experiment was performed in multiple areas of the Hotel room at self and the same results were obtained. Extremely dirty floors that had not been clean prior to our stay. 3. Poorly functioning MOLDY AC Unit! The air conditioning unit by the window did not seem to hold the room temperature well and I had to try to adjust it multiple times. That was bad enough but then I looked at the vents and noticed It was covered in mold. Upon closer inspection I could see the air conditioning filter was dirty as well. But that mold was absolutely disgusting. Beyond that, mold in an ac unit is a health issue! I spoke to the front desk after identifying issue number one. The front desk was very polite And offered to send someone down to clean the stains but it was almost 10 o'clock at night and We just wanted to get a few hours sleep Before our hike the next day. I did ask if there was another room available but unfortunately they were booked solid due to peak foliage season. As finding another hotel so late at night Was not an option with such an early wake up call, We decided to try to just go to bed. Unfortunately feeling agitated With such subpar accommodations paying premium prices for peak foliage season, neither my wife nor I got a good nights sleep. The only real positive was the customer service I received. As I said the individual at 10 PM at the front desk was very polite. When we woke up at three, I did speak to the front desk again and the person on duty was able to provide some pricing relief Given our negative experience. The weekend Front desk manager also reached out to me later in the day to apologize and appeared to genuinely appreciate the feedback provided. The customer service I received is the only reason I am giving a two star rating versus a one star rating.

Great location that is near both the airport, Medical center, downtown, and the University. Clean rooms, quiet and comfortable. Fitness room a bit limited and small. Great friendly customer service. Will stay again.

Hotel needs updating and friendlier service. Rooms dingy old and not cleaned well. We had made a request that was not meet for rooms near or adjoined. Front desk help was not overly friendly. Morgan did try to help and get our rooms moved . The other team member I think Charlie was his name was not helpful at all and kept saying they did not guarantee request could be meet.

We like to escape at Best Western Plus Windjammer Inn for a one night trip. It is around 2 hours from home. We like to eat at Outback and this is where the closest one is from our house. So when we feel like going to Outback, we go at this Best Western. We are 3 persons, the youngest one, our grand'son, is 21 years old and is in a wheel chair. This place is very well equipped for the needs of a handicap person.

I would not recommend staying here. Our room was directly beside a busy entrance door and as such, it was slammed shut loudly all night, past 2am. We had front-row seats to every conversation people had while smoking and drinking outside. There was also notable mold on the grill of the AC unit. This was the level of noise and cleanliness as I'd expect from a hostel, not from a $200+ hotel stay.

beautiful hotel, great staff, close to airport......every need attended to. I had some difficulties with my airline reservations and they were great in giving me another reservation, attending to my needs.

My flight was delayed 3+ hours and I needed a place to sleep when I finally arrived in my home state. The front desk clerk was kind and caring (even though it was 1 am) and the lodgings clean (as always) and comfortable. All this and I could have brought my dog too -- it's our go-to local hotel!

We used reward points we earned to stay the night. We have stayed at this hotel before and had an amazing time. As I checked out the man asked me if I wanted a receipt. When I said yes he said "oh you didn't pay for your stay, you used points so you don't get a receipt. I said really? He said yes and stared at me. I said so because I used points I can't have a receipt? I'd like a receipt. He said we don't give out receipts unless you pay for your room and continued to stare at me. I don't understand why I couldn't have a receipt or why I was made to feel like less than a guest because I used my points for my stay. The woman who checked us in was very nice and accommodating.

Was hesitant given other review. Hotel was clean, grounds well maintained. Outdoor pool was nice and well maintained. Staff were friendly. Did not hear other people in rooms as some of the reviews mentioned. Hotel seemed quite busy. Breakfast was a typical complimentary spread. Lobby coffee was much better than at the breakfast area. Would stay again if visiting the area. Hotels in Burlington closer to the water were much more expensive. Location was 2 miles from downtown Burlington and very easy to get there by car.

Very nice clean rooms. Quiet location- Very pleasant! Quick five minute ride to downtown. Burlington is a great town to visit. I am pleased with Best Western Plus hotels. Two pools. Lots of parking. Excellent.

Room door hanging open at check in. Hung up on by front desk when calling for an extra blanket. Fire alarm went off when we used the shower (nonsmokers), waking up our kid when we thought we had to evacuate. Standoffish, dismissive front desk attendant. Get the kid back in bed to be woken up by a visit from security because we reported a problem. Offered a refund then charged full price. Terrible.

I was in Room 301, which has two big beds, TV, a table and two chairs (but no desk), fridge, microwave, luggage rack, iron and ironing board. The bathroom has a shower (but no bath) and a hair dryer. It's near a university campus. I walked into town, so it's within walking distance if you don't mind a bit of a walk. Taxis are expensive here, so use the hotel van to get to the airport.

We chose this hotel for its refreshingly reasonable pet policy,(the $10 nightly surcharge is less than half the going rate). Beautifully set, with broad lawns and mature trees, it made a great spot for walking our dog, with easy access to sidewalks for exploring further afield. The human members of our party had a mixed experience. Although the hotel makes a strong impression from the outside, it's an older property and our room felt extremely cramped compared to other hotels in its category (or other BWs, for that matter). With two double (not queen) beds, there wasn't room for a small armchair or for two people to move around without bumping into each other. My biggest disappointment concerned the instant coffee dispenser in the breakfast room. I don't expect artisanal beans in chain hotels but instant coffee is not good enough for a hotel in this class. I later discovered that urns in the lobby served brewed coffee, but by that time I'd already made a trip around the corner to Starbucks. We might stay here again with our dog, but without him there are better options.

I'm sorry to be negative but for it's class, like Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn and all of the other Best Western Plus hotels where I've stayed, to me this was and maybe still is over-rated when I booked it. It was number 4 on Trip Advisor in South Burlington. I would give it 3 and a half for a rating but that's not an option. While the grounds were very nice, the building is old although there has been updating. The beds were comfortable and although it was clean, the room was small. Add to that there were times through the night when the blower on the older window AC unit just stopped blowing even with the system was set to cool and the fan set to low speed.

Wonderfully friendly staff, from shuttle drivers, front desk, breakfast to housekeeping. Free breakfast better than expected. Extremely clean. Convenient to airport. Great value. We didn't use the pool, but looked like lots of guests were enjoying it.

After the night before at an older hotel, we were very pleased with the Best Western. I don't normally stay at BW hotels, but this changed my mind. Self opening front doors, upgraded key system that was not made defective by phones, etc. great breakfast room and food selection, clean updated room and bathroom. It was close to downtown and restaurants. The bathroom was small but updated. Their soap and shampoo were upscale. We were there for an Art Vermont workshop and glad we stayed there.

Staff was pleasant, Hotel was clean and neat. Although another Bike had virtually parked taking in a whole section, the staff did not mind that I squeezed mine in safely, at an angle in front of his. Easy to get into and see from road. Good parking available, also.

I stayed here with my fiance. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. Complimentary breakfast was nice. The hotel was also located near a lot of other stores and only twelve minutes from church street.

Checked in about an hour early and was upgraded to a suite, Polite and efficient staff. The room was large with a separate bedroom. I would recommend this Best Western to anyone needing to stay in the area.

There was a strange Odor in the room, noisy air conditioner and what sounded like a party upstairs with people running from room to room ,slamming doors and laughing and talking very loudly at 4;30 am. Got no sleep for the rest of the night.

Great staff. lots of parking. shuttle service to airport. Great on site restaurant. There is a pool but no hot tub. they are on "water saver" so towels are to be used more than once by you. the room was quiet and no one complained when we were rocking.

great location for the sites we wanted to see, easy access to the Waterfront park, Church street, Ethan Allen Homestead and the cruises on Lake Chaplain, Shopping and restaurants all within a 20 minutes drive.

I stayed at the BW Plus one night, when I was being admitted to UVM, for surgery. The hotel is clean and staff are very helpful. We stayed over the week of the 4th. The breakfast was good, although, I was unable to dine before my surgery. I did have a WONDERFUL meal, the night before at the restaurant. If you book directly, for a stay that includes a hospital stay, they will give you a discount!!

We decided to stay, last minute in the Burlington area. We arrived late, maybe 11 p.m. Check in was fine. The room seemed fine. We have been traveling extensively following our daughter's softball team. The kids were tired and fell asleep within a half hour of check-in. I also fell asleep soon after. I got up at 2 a.m. to use the bathroom. As I was in there, I felt cold water on my feet. I looked down to see a puddle spreading away from the toilet. This was water leaking from the base of the toilet, water that was previously in the toilet bowl. Disgusted, I cleaned, lysoled the area and to took a quick shower. As the kids were sleeping after a long, physically challenging weekend, I did not want to wake them to switch rooms or have someone poking around at 2 a.m. The next morning we got up, avoided sitting on the toilet and the kids went for a swim. We then checked out. When asked if everything was as expected during our stay, I started to mention the toilet leak. The woman behind the desk finished my sentence saying "leaking from the base" and "the seals are getting old". Having been in the plumbing business since childhood, I was taken aback at what appeared to be ignorance as to where this water originated: from a HUMAN WASTE PIPE. She just seemed to act as though this was a normal, to be expected issue. I just decided to move on with my day. My wife (a registered nurse) was furious and called the hotel. The woman that answered tried to explain it away as condensation. My wife asked if she realized the hazard to someone's health human waste presents, she got very defensive and offered to refund a percentage of the nights fee. My wife insisted on a full refund and stated the board of health should be notified if they do not take this issue seriously. The woman then offered to refund all charges and to further state that we were to never return to this property again.. I didn't break the toilet, it is obvious this has been an ongoing issue as the woman knew exactly where the leak was. Replacing "the seal" is not a big job. A homeowner with basic skills can do it. A licensed plumber should be able to do it in 15 minutes. I really just wanted to know this issue would be fixed. I had no broken skin on my feet so I was not too concerned about contracting hepatitis or some other disease. My daughter had blisters on her feet from running in cleats all weekend. Thankfully she didn't step in this water. Read other non stellar reviews and responses and you will probably see a childish pattern of not owning issues with the property. You can't sweep issues like this under the rug. Someone is bound to get sick and perhaps not even realize how.

Clean and comfortable rooms with no frills. Temperature in the room difficult to control.Good location central to University, shopping and airport. Free continental Breakfast was somewhat better than average. Easy check in and check out. Did not use the pool or exercise facility.

Our stay was very, very pleasant. All the staff were friendly and pleasant. They went out of their way to be helpful. As a matter of fact, if we go to Burlington, VT next year, we are definitely staying there.

My wife and I went for a weekend as part of a 9 day vacation . I knew this was the right place the moment we walked into the lobby. The reception from the front desk was warm and inviting. This was our first time in Vermont so we had several questions about where to eat and shop. They were helpful and knowledgeable.We got our room keys and walked to our room which was immaculate as was the indoor pool and the rest of the hotel. We will recomend it to all our family and friends.

Wonderful place in South Burlington! Stayed there with a car club (Mercedes Benz Club of America) that was participating in the VT Auto Enthusiasts Classic Car Show at the Shelburne museum. Had a fun first night get together in the pub, and a dinner Saturday night in the restaurant- all were top notch! Prices were up for the weekend and the season, but still a good value. The room was small but well appointed, with all amenities as listed, and very clean and well prepped. It was great to be able to have all meals and gatherings onsite, within walking distance. Some friends enjoyed the pool and workout facilities, and said they were very good and clean as well. Highly recommended!

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We had a beautiful and comfortable room. The service and quality at the restaurant and lounge was excellent! If we would be in Vermont again, we would definitely choose this Best Western.

Two different trips to this hotel we encountered the same problem. Saturday nights were extremely noisy between the hours of 11:00pm and 3:00am with intoxicated people arguing, talking loudly and being rambunctious. Sunday and Monday nights were completely different and quiet. Other than that the hotel would have been five stars, everything all-around was great.

While the property might be aging, the great service more than makes up for it. We opted to stay here over newer nearby hotels because the the staff is incredibly responsive and the amenities are great. Two pools with clean rooms and many meal options within walking distance. I hosted a small gathering in the family suite and had a few special needs (like freezing an ice cream cake) and each time I called the front desk, my request was fulfilled within minutes. Highly recommended for families.

Don't be fooled by the pictures or the hype. You hear every single sound throughout the hotel. When in our room, the ceiling creaked every time someone above us walked. We heard every person walking by in the hall. We heard every door open and close. We've stayed at hotels in almost every state, every name brand. We don't go cheap. This is the worst stay by far. I would rather have slept in my car on the highway.

I've stayed at this hotel over 10 times and I feel like it's better each and every time. I'd like to say a special thanks to Casey. She is warm and kind and makes every stay the best ever. She is the kind of manager every hotel needs. She is about the people, not the paycheck. That is a quality that is hard to come by. The rest of the staff is just as excellent. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. You pay way less and get so much more here. The hotel is just outside of the downtown area, which makes it quieter and less chaotic. The hotel is within close proximity of I-89, US Route 2, and US Route 7. And Canada is about an hour north of here. I love this hotel and I would recommend to anybody I know. We are repeat guests for sure

Amazing staff. They are friendly and helpful. Clean location and comfy beds!!!! Rooms are clean. Facility has lots of amenities. Check in and out was a breeze. Breakfast offered so many choices for everyone, even our picky five year old was impressed!!

Our brief stay was very enjoyable. We arrived in the evening after riding the train from NYC, and found friendly, helpful staff, a very nice room, and a pub to enjoy a nightcap and some really yummy dessert. We left early the next morning after a good, hot breakfast. We recommend highly if you're in the area.

I had a 2-night stay here as part of a 50-person bus tour to Vermont. When we pulled up to the property, I was VERY pleasantly surprised...tour groups seem to book less-than-stellar hotels, but this one was bright, clean, fresh, and inviting. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Our group was checked in and settled very quickly and efficiently. The room was lovely and comfortable. Our room had a throw rug but not wall-to-wall carpeting, which I've never seen before in a hotel but I really liked it. It would seem to be more sanitary and make cleaning easier; it was also MUCH easier to wheel luggage in the room which I LOVED!! Breakfast was tasty with a good amount of options; make yourself a waffle if you're not short on time! The evening cookies in the lobby were a nice touch. And the pool, or should I say pools...the indoor pool was warm and beautiful, just perfect for relaxing after a long day of touring! The outdoor pool was beautiful too, but the weather wasn't too conducive to an outdoor swim. I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again!!

My wife and I stayed at this Best Western as a little get away. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was an incident at the front counter when we were checking in, but it was another couple having issues with their reservation and actually yelling at the two employees behind the counter. The two employees handled the situation like professionals. Never raising their voices or being rude or sarcastic. The young lady behind the counter did the right thing by deleting their one night that was booked at the hotel and asked them to leave the premises. I don't remember the names of the two people behind the counter, but it was on Saturday night, May 24th. I would gladly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in Burlington. Breakfast the next morning was very good. Scrambled eggs, bacon, bagels and sausages. Only thing missing was mustard for the sausage, but i survived :)

BW Windjammer is my first choice when visiting Burlington. The hotel is centrally located to UVM, Church Street and other activities. I highly recommend this hotel. Each time I have stayed on property the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the daily breakfast is good. The Windjammer restaurant is easily accessible from the hotel and offers great food and service. They have a banquet room attached to the restaurant for small/medium sized groups.

Hands down the worst hotel experience I have ever had. From the room to the customer service I was nothing but disappointed. We had a single bed hotel room booked for a weekend to attend a friend's wedding. The room was BEYOND small. I felt extremely claustrophobic to the point I couldn't relax. The space was limited to even walk once you set down luggage and the window was small in comparison to other hotels. For the money you get MUCH less with this room and hotel then you would elsewhere. The room smelt like old mildew and the bed was not comfortable. I called the front desk in efforts to get even one of our two nights refunded so we could go to a hotel where we could actually be comfortable and they were not accommodating whatsoever. They took no time to listen to the reasons we wanted a refund and instead quickly just continued to say they couldn't. Most hotels ask if there is a way they can right any negative experiences, however they offered absolutely no assistance. TERRIBLE customer service. We were so unhappy with our stay we paid for the hotel and still went to a new hotel in the same price range and got a much bigger, cleaner and more comfortable room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, there are much better options that are just as affordable in Burlington. A friend of ours also booked this hotel for the weekend and she too was very disappointed in the size and comfort of the room. Do yourself a favor and stay at a hotel where they value their customers.

A little further from downtown Burlington but Uber made it a quick and easy ride to downtown. Hotel was clean and service was excellent. Breakfast food was well prepared and was replenished as needed.

Best family trip the staff at best western made sure we felt like we were at home best experience at a hotel ever milk and cookies were a nice touch to a long day night staff made sure that the pool was open for our kids thank you so much for going above and beyond for our family

When travelling from Ottawa Canada to Burlington VT.The Windjammer is a MUST. Can't beat the prime Rib. Had one of the best servers ever this time ,a sure plus plus point. All 4 of us enjoyed our meal.

The stay here was great. We had a long day of basketball games and the property was centrally located to everywhere we needed to go. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The price had jumped quite a bit since December but it does get busy in Burlington this time of year. The breakfast was fantastic. If you couldn't find something then you are extremely fussy. There were plenty of healthy choices as well. The only thing was there was a lack of parking when we returned to the hotel.

We have stayed at this particular hotel multiple times in the past year and are always treated like family upon arrival. Our kids love the milk and cookies offered in the lobby, the pools and beautiful courtyard where they can play. This is always our only choice when staying in South Burlington!

People that work there are awesome! I was lucky to get an early check in, fantastic. Place could use an overall update but it works , great location. Inside pool water temperature could have been higher. But all in all a good visit, with average accommodations.

My overall stay was good. Although when I asked for a late check out for 12:30 I still got a call waking me up at 11:30. A housekeeper came in my room at 12. I didn't even get any type of apology as I was there for a family emergency and was ready stressed and tired. The pool was closed during my stay which was unfortunate. The hotel could use some updating for the price. The night manager during my check in was awesome!

Would have been 5 stars but they do allow pets and having a dog barking till past 11pm and starting back again at 6am (for a half hour straight) kinda sucked. They did comp me some at checkout which was cool

Very clean and comfortable hotel. The staff was very friendly. Very convient location. I had my 7 year old Grandson with me and he gave the pool a 2 thumbs up. The warm cookies and cold milk in the lobby at 8pm is a nice touch. Would definatly stay here again.

Great stay at this hotel. Excellent staff, clean room, wonderful breakfast and convenient to almost anything you might need with reasonable price. Hotel restaurant was great and courtesy transportation prompt to pick us up and drop us off at the airport even tho pickup was 3:30 am!

This was a great hotel, a real breakfast and nice pool. The staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean. Close to everything in Burlington. Breakfast was a full meal with yogurts, eggs, french toast, pancakes, sausage, and bacon. It was early enough that we were able to eat before we left. The staff was very helpful and nice. The pool was actually warm and the room it was in was well heated. The gym area was small but had everything you would need.

We stayed at the Best Western and had a terrific experience! The restaurant is excellent and I highly recommend the steak and mash potatoes. The room is clean and has a great TV. We had breakfast before visiting UVM and were very happy with the quality. We will definitely stay here every time!

Enjoyed our stay-cation here. Clean room with frig and comfortable sleeping, nice breakfast choice (including fresh fruit), super helpful front desk staff and awesome salt water pool with lovely water temps and super clean.

I stayed one night and it was a very comfortable sleep. I especially appreciate the 24-hr shuttle to the airport and option to leave my car during my travels. But this needs to be reserved by calling the hotel directly, which I did not know ahead of time.

We wanted to get out of town for a few days and do some shopping in the states during the Quebec spring break. We traveled with a pet so we had a pet friendly room. The room was clean and very modern with wood floors. Bathroom was clean and the beds were comfortable but the pillows were a little to soft for us. A door mat would be a nice addition to the room. As we left a lot of salt stains at the entrance of the room coming in with our boots and letting them sit wet on the floor. We had breakfast included with our room. There was a nice choice of breads, bagels and pastries. The breakfast included scrambled, eggs, bacon, sausages and french toast. A few regular cereal options, oatmeal and gf cereal (chex), yogurt and fresh fruit. We were very happy with the gluten free options offered with the breakfast as we have two family members that have celiac disease. Gluten free bread and a dedicated gf toaster were the only items missing and would make a nice addition. Staff was friendly and provided dog cookies for our dog. The cookies and milk at 8 were a nice treat for the kids, however, our daughter could not participate as there were no gf cookies. I would suggest the hotel management offer the gf cookies upon request. We had a great stay and will definitely stay there again.

Great location, very clean. We had an early morning flight. They offer park and fly, we stayed 1 night, parked our vehicle there, they shuttled us to airport in morning plus had a small breakfast available for us. They picked us up when we returned and brought us right to our vehicle. Will definitely take advantage of this opportunity again.

I found the motel accommodations and personnel to be very satisfactory. The shuttle service to UVM hospital was always fast no matter what time of the day or night. Breakfast had many tasty options. My room was always clean when I returned for the night. Everyone was always very friendly.

Had never stayed there but used it for a local weekend away. Looks like they are well into a renovation but the room was surprisingly nice. The king room has a separate siting area with its own tv, pull out couch, fridge and microwave. The bedroom was separated with French doors and the bed was comfortable, firm and had good, not mushy, pillows. The room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection and the staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

IT was nice when i checked in people whair nice when i got to my room it was little small and thair was hair in my tub yuck ,and floor was a bit dirty ,hallway to pool was vary cold but overall a nice place like that it had a 8 pm cookie and milk my child really thought that was cool ..

This hotel is a great location for flying into Burlington Vermont and for visiting the University of Vermont. The price was great and the room was clean, breakfast was decent, and there seemed to be plenty of staff keeping up with the place. Like many hotels, though the walls are paper thin and the hallway was super loud and disturbing. There was a lot of big groups there and they were loud everywhere, a very noisy weekend. The hotel had everything we needed and will be recommending it to anyone visiting Burlington.

I was stranded at the airport with a cancelled flight and this was the perfect hotel to stay at for the night. Despite the snow, they sent a shuttle to pick me up. Very friendly and I was given a good rate. The free full breakfast is the absolute best part. The hotel was clean and sufficient but being able to enjoy a very large, diverse fresh breakfast was fantastic knowing I had to head straight back to the airport. I will remember this location when I'm back in Burlington.

I stay in a lot of hotels for business. The Windjammer is comparable to hotels that charge nearly 10 times as much per night are are not half as nice. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The Windjammer also has a great restaurant and lounge. Lastly, there is a Starbucks right there next to the hotel. The place is perfect.

First time I have stayed at this hotel. In many years of visiting Burlington VT. Staff was friendly the rooms where above and beyond clean and modern. The restaurant next door was fabulous. I will definitely be staying there again!!!!!

This past weekend I went to Burlington for a quick getaway. I chose the Windjammer because of the rave reviews it has on Tripadvisor. We checked in on Thursday evening, which appeared to be the first of a hockey tournament convention. And that is where it went down hill. We were placed on the 3rd floor, most of which, was hockey guests. Which would have been fine, however the group on our floor was out of control. We could hear full conversations in bed because they were so loud. Even from down the hall. Finally after two calls security came down and told them to quiet up or get out.. that was at 3:45am. When I called the front desk, I asked to have my room changed, but was told no due to the hotel being sold out and we were there for three nights. I had booked my room through Rocketmiles and they were unable to guarantee me a refund, so we were stuck there. The second night was just as bad as the first.. there was a girl in the room next to us that went out in the hall at midnight to tell them they were being rude and obnoxious, but they didn't care. It continued until 3am. After which I had called again downstairs. Again I was told I could not change, but the manager would be in at 7am. I went to speak with him at 8am. He was fully aware of the situation and acknowleded they were being rude and loud, however all he could do was change my room to another floor, which at that point I gladly accepted because I hadn't slept in two nights. That morning in breakfast there were multiple people going to the desk to complain about the noise. I just don't understand why the hotel management would want to get all these complaints rather than dealing with the problem and get these people out. The final night we finally slept. Although in general you can hear noise, it was nothing like what we were dealing with on the 3rd floor. This hotel stay left such a damper on what was supposed to be a nice weekend getaway. I would never stay here again or recommend it.

Good value, nice location, great restaurant Windjammer and a pub above within walking distance. Close to UVM and area highways , shopping at University Mall is close by as well.A nice clean room, property is nicely kept.

I had an unexpected overnight stay at this airport hotel because of delayed flights. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was inexpensive ($89). The place is not new and the hallway floors are, oddly, wood under carpet, so that every footstep is audible from the rooms. Fortunately, there were no noisy guests around me because the walls were similarly poorly insulated. Decent breakfast, friendly service. Not a bad choice if you need a place to stay a night in the area but definitely not a “destination”.

I have been traveling to Burlington for 10 + years for business and leisure .The Windjammer is my # 1 hotel to stay it .The cost is great and the people as well. The restaurant is fabulous with a delicious ,fresh salad bar

Been associated with this location for 10+ years and never had a bad experience. The staff is always friendly and professional. If there is any issues Casey the current Mgr. has trained staff that deals with any issues and corrects them in an expedited manor.

Service was excellent, room and common areas were very clean, location was excellent, convenient to UVM, Burlington and RT 89. The front desk staff was efficient and helpful. The single brew Kuerig coffeemaker made a nice cup of coffee

We were able to stay two nights at a great rate when a huge storm left us stranded in Burlington. Very relaxing, clean and comfy room. Front desk staff were very polite and always helpful, even when I wanted to borrow a snow shovel! The breakfast buffet area, while a great thing to offer guests, was quite overwhelmed on Sunday morning. Maybe some advanced planning could have taken place to make sure that food didn't run out and people didn't have to wait so long for a simple plate of scrambled eggs or meat. But, hey, it was a very snowy winter weekend in VT. Everyone did their best, I'm sure.

Stayed here one night with my wife on a Saturday night. Check in went smooth. I bit outdated in the lobby which i do not care about but just pointing that out so we were kinda worried about the room but the room was in great condition and bed was very very comfy. Location was great and beside the Upper Deck bar was even better. It was our first time at the Best Western and i would def book again. Free Breakfast in the morning is always a plus and lots of choices

my husband and i have stayed at a lot of the hotels in burlington but never here. it was super clean and the front desk clerk was very inviting. Breakfast was way more than we thought it would be. Thanks for the great stay.

We were very happy with our recent stay at this hotel. Check-in was quick and easy, the room was clean and quiet, and the breakfast was fine in the morning. It was nice to have a coffee machine and microwave in the room. There was also a small fridge. We would have loved to use the swimming pool, but decided against it because the halls were too cold going and coming there. To be fair, it was very cold outside. We decided to check out the Windjammer's restaurant and pub which was attached. The place had been recommended by none other, than the officers at the Canadian border at Highgate! We were not disappointed. The food was excellent.

Every time I visit Burlington, VT for business, I always stay at the Best Western hotel. This hotel provides everything that I need for my business trip - convenient breakfast, quick Wi-Fi, good location, etc. Their staff is very friendly; their room is very clean, their breakfast is good, etc. In my opinion, Best Western is the best hotel for the money. Try it, I believe you will like it. Come for the value; stay for the comfort; enjoy your visit.

Awesome hotel. Only stayed for one night. Wish we had the time to stay longer. Pool was very nice and the room was extremely clean. Renovations being done on hotel but did not cause any inconvenience what-so-ever.

The room was a bit small, but only needed for sleep. The bed was VERY comfortable and slept like a rock. The Desk personnel were very helpful and understanding. THe only downside was the lack of pressure for the shower. It needs to be pumped up a bit more.

This is my go-to hotel when I am in the area. I have never been disappointed. Excellent location, and excellent value. The complimentary breakfast is of very good quality. I highly recommend this hotel.

Last minute weekend getaway, and boy did we find the right hotel for our needs! I strongly recommend this hotel for its service and also for its location in South Burlington which is close by to every commodities imaginable! Definitely, we will be back in a near future!

The Windjammer is an excellent Hotel, great location, wonderful food and very helpful staff.We will definitely be back. Rooms are a nice size, beds are extremely comfortable.Restaurant is excellent,,,have to try their Prime Rib! :)

We really enjoyed the stay. The kids love the warm cookies and cold milk at 8 PM. The pool was a lot of fun and the entire hotel was very clean. Jason at the front desk is great. He is very helpful and knowledgable about the hotel and area. We will stay again soon.

I am a hotel snob and a bit of a germaphobe - I booked this place because I knew we were expecting a snowstorm and thought it was practical to be a path away from the adjacent restaurant... What a nice surprise. The rooms aren't fancy but they are very clean and the bed comfortable. The lobby is underwhelming but the front desk staff so welcoming, it compensates... You won't find luxury here but you will find a staff that wants to make you happy, always courteous and garaged cleanliness. I will be back!

I have traveled worldwide and stayed in literally hundreds of resorts/hotels/motels, slept on cots in tents on a massive military base in Iraq, and have even spent plenty of nights sleeping in my car, and I have to say that ALL of those experiences were more comfortable and conducive to sleeping than staying here. Rice paper-thin walls will allow you to hear even the quietest conversations your neighbors are having. In my case, I had someone whose snoring sounded like an old saw mill was operating in the adjacent room. All night. The space between your ceiling and the floor above you serves as an amplifier that serenades you with a symphony of creaks and heavy footsteps with every movement. Apparently, I had the Radio City Rockettes staying above me, because the near-constant noise from their seeming dance practice drove me to the point of seriously considering sleeping in my car. If it wasn't 9 degrees outside, I would have. The mattress that I “slept” on was absolute murder on my back. Without exaggerating, I arrived feeling absolutely no pain in my lower back. I left walking like a 90 year old man who had been hit by a bus. My back is trashed. Inconsiderate guests roaming the hallways, laughing loudly and carrying on like they were the only people in the hotel were an added bonus. While not the fault of the hotel, or its staff, it is still something that made this stay way more annoying than it needed to be. On the positive side, the high speed Internet worked fine, and I had no issues connecting. The staff was friendly, and this review should not be taken as reflection on them. It's not their fault whatsoever. As this was a business trip, I was locked into the arrangements that were made for me. I was not in a position to ask for a different room, etc. I will, however, inform my purchasing agent to avoid booking rooms here for future trips that I am on. This was, by far, the worst hotel experience of my extensive traveling history, and I have no desire to repeat it.

The bed was really good and so was the breakfast. The location is quite strategic, easy access to many surrounding tourist attractions, however, it is relatively noiseless. My room was well lit for night reading or just relaxing.

We only stayed here for one night, but we found it to be clean and comfortable and well-appointed. We were in town for a tour of University of Vermont. We did not try the restaurant, but took advantage of the Trader Joe's just down the road a ways and zapped our dinner in the comfort of our room. We easily found some paper plates and utensils in the dining area generally reserved for breakfast. The room itself was a little cramped but tidy and recently renovated. We had no difficulty finding the place using our gps, but once we were in the, erm, parking lot I was convinced we were in the wrong place as there were no signs anywhere indicating I had arrived at a Best Western. Anyway. If our child gets accepted here we will be staying here again,

I just had a quick trip though Burlington and stayed here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. And they had the restaurant right next door with the Upper Deck pub upstairs so I didn't even have to leave for any reason. One thing to note is if you put the address in GPS it will take you to the front where the restaurant is (we accidentally tried to check in there). The actual check in desk is around back. Nice place overall and would definitely stay here again!

Went there with a tour group and they took care of us very well. Good breakfast although it was a bit crowded. Rooms very clean and well taken care of. They have 24hr coffee and water and cookies at 8:30.

Well it is a Best Western and the stay was pleasant , beds were great and the people were lovely. Location was ok as it is just a few minuets from the airport. It was very clean and neat. Breakfast was combination of hot and cold above your standard hotel expectation.

First time staying here. Employees were friendly and helpful. We were on 2nd floor. We could hear people walking around in the floor above us, so rooms are not soundproof. Hallway smelled musty , looked like due to older carpeting, which was peeling up from the floor in several places. Everywhere was extremely clean. Bathroom door wouldn't stay open. It was propped open with the wastebasket. Bathroom is small as well. You could clearly see this hotel was older and had been painted several times ( doors, walls, etc.). The color of our room was horrible ( yellow old mustard color). I usually don't say anything, but it really was bad. Rooms are small for the price I paid ( approximately $276.00 for 1 night). I've stayed many other places which were cheaper and much nicer than this. Very disappointing except the beds and pillows were fantastic. Continental breakfast was great! Lots to choose from (yogurt, fresh fruit, English muffins, bagels, bread, cold cereals, hot oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, French toast, juices, coffee and more). So all in all not a bad place to stay, but I probably won't be staying here again. Charging too much for what it is. Needs upgrading, badly.

Busy road, but hotel is set back enough that you don't really notice it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very busy with leaf peeper bus tours and a conference. Housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient. Room was clean. Missed the waffles at breakfast, they have french toast instead (they were tough).

We frequently travel to Burlington and after trying many other options, we consistently use this hotel. We have always found the staff helpful and friendly, the property well maintained and the location perfect whether vacationing in the area, attending specialist appointments at the hospital or flying out of the airport.

we stay here frequently when in Burlington. It is close to everything, has an excellent restaurant attached, the pool is very relaxing and the the exercise equipment is alwys working and in good condition.

We have been coming to the Windjammer for 5 years now, first for one child and now a second one going to college in the area. When we first started coming it was good value for the money. This last trip I'd say they are heading downhill with poor value for the money with a too small room, less than immaculate bathroom, broken air conditioning unit and noisy location of the room we were placed in. We will probably be looking for a new place to stay since the price per night of this room was over $200. There has to be a better venue for the money.

Had a lovely stay this past weekend. Clean rooms, friendly helpful staff, great breakfast and snacks. Convenient location. Windjammer Pub is fun too. Would stay there again and will recommend to friends.

Wonderful place to stay. One of my favorite. Staff is always very professional and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and enjoyable. They have a great location, with a lot of very good restaurants close by. The Windjammer Restaurant & Pub are excellent.

Location is great because it is not far from downtown and close to the University Mall. The restaurant is superb with the best salad bar in the area! The Vermont Ravioli is succulent and I knew that from previous visits and thus had to order that meal as an appetizer to share with the table!

Let's start out with the acknowledgement that I am not a masochist. With this stay at the Burlington, VT. BW+ Windjammer Inn we, our family, had some problems at this facility that we shouldn't have had (room reservations and room cleanliness). I could complain incessantly about these issues, however, staff and management resolved this issues in a timely and satisfactory manner. The Inn is conveniently located in South Burlington just off Rt 89, and minutes from Univ. of VT. and downtown Burlington. They have both an outdoor and an indoor pool that we took advantage of. They tempt you with a plate of chocolate chip cookies in the evening in the lobby. And, like many BWs they serve a complimentary buffet breakfast in the morning, but this one is the best we've had at any of them (good selection - great quality). We also had another good meal at the attached Upper Deck Pub. If we stay in this area again, we will again use this Inn because I believe our difficulties were a one time occurrences.

Reception staff nonexistent and not very helpful. No free shuttle into town. The rooms ok clean but on small side. Pub attached good place to eat and drink. Breakfast ok but marred by all the plastic cutlery and paper plates. Feel it is a lazy hotel that could be so much better

The restaurant is exceptional. rooms were very nice and beds comfy. It is a little out of town, but a great value, for Burlington. If you go to the restaurant, get the bacon wrapped scallops, they are AMAZING!

The Hotel is the nicer Best Western's compared to other ones I stayed at. It was more pricier, but I can't really say anything negative about our stay.We met other people there they also were enjoying there stay. I do wish that there was more lighting in the pool room, it was dim in there

We stay here often and are always happy with the staff, service, rooms and amenities. The 8pm cookies and milk are the best! The morning breakfast has an extensive offering of items and the staff is friendly and make sure nothing ever runs out.

We stayed for 1 night when passing through Burlington. The hotel was reasonably priced. We did find it a bit run down. The staff were very friendly.The room was clean but the bed was horrible. Very soft and uncomfortable.

The room was clean, breakfast wasn't great but coffee was good. Was good enough for what we wanted, a place to stay after getting off flight late before setting off on rest of vacation. In the morning walking to breakfast the hallways smelled strongly of weed. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I wish there were half stars. This is a 2.5 star hotel. I have no idea how this property keeps getting such good reviews. I based my reservation based on these glowing reviews, and we wish we had stayed somewhere else. In hindsight, since we had a rental car and therefore did not need to stay so close to the airport, we should have chosen a different area of Burlington. Upon walking into our room, we were immediately confronted by a wall of odor. What we should have done was immediately go to the front desk and request a different room, but we are, at heart, nonconfrontational, so we thought we could bear it. We lit a candle, put fabric softener sheets in the vents, and sprayed perfume on every surface, but there was no getting past the smell, and it's hard to describe, but it wasn't good. And everything in the room seemed damp. We had spent the week hiking, so we were grateful for the washer and dryer, and they did have beverages available in the breakfast room, and we enjoyed that as well. We paid $150 for our room, and I heard the front desk tell someone their standard rate was $210. It's not worth $150; if I had paid $210, I would have been beside myself. It looked like the room had been renovated, but it brings to mind the old saying about putting lipstick on a pig. The bathroom door was still old and cheap and anywhere there was trimwork, it looked old/poorly done. The closet in our room had a gap above it that someone tried (poorly) to fill in with trim. There was a non slip mat in the bottom of the tub that looked as if it had been installed during the Reagan administration. Breakfast wasn't great; about what you'd expect after seeing the rooms. But the most annoying part of our stay was our checkout. She asked how our stay was and I said, "That room stinks." Her immediate response was to ask if we had let anyone know, and she's right, that's on us. I said, "No. I thought we could stick it out." Here's where it all goes wrong. Instead of her saying that she was sorry for the experience, she says, "Well, you booked a pet friendly room, and I'm sure that room has had dogs in it in the last couple days". First of all, I had no idea that I had booked a pet friendly room. When we got home, I looked at my confirmation, and it says nothing about it. However, I noticed when you go online to book, in the description of the room itself, after everything else, it either says "No pets." or " Pet friendly". And that is the ONLY difference. The prices are the same. I said, "It did not smell like wet dogs. It smelled like something unclean and musty." She then said, " Oh, well, the dehumidifiers have been running non-stop and sometimes their filters get clogged and saturated." I said, "That's probably what it was." She then said she was sorry. We weren't trying to get a discount; we were just trying to let them know to save the next person from the stench of the room. We were both madder when we left than we were during our stay. Niceness goes a long way with us.

It's a nice motel, small room and bathroom. Low water pressure when showering. Good breakfast choices, flavored creamers. Soft queen mattress. Close to shopping and restaurants. Welcoming staff. Stayed in room 417.

We arrived late from So Cal via a flight. This hotel was clean, comfortable and ready for our arrival. The staff were extremely friendly. We decided to stay another night. Great rates, super clean, great breakfast included and near everything in Burlington, VT. We would stay here again on a heart beat.

We really love Best Western Plus properties as they can be trusted to meet their high standards almost every time. This hotel was no exception. Clean, comfortable, excellent staff, everything you need to make for a great stay. Really liked the indoor, saltwater pool and the 24 hour exercise room availability. Also great was the short walk to the outstanding Windjammer Restaurant on the property. No reason to fight traffic finding a place for dinner .... wonderful!

Staff is very friendly at check in and I love that you can do mobile check in and check out. The rooms are always clean and the beds are always comfortable! I have stayed here 3 times now and always find it a wonderful experience.

The most important feature for me when I travel is the cleanliness of a hotel. This hotel was immaculate. The staff at the front desk were friendly, informative and always pleasant . Fabulous restaurant and pub are also at this hotel. There are many food options within walking distance. Ten minutes to downtown Burlington. I would definitely stay here again. And a separate covered area for smokers.

This was not where our initial reservation was. We were supposed to stay at an RCI “Resort” but were appalled at it and did a search of the area for a replacement and could not be happier that we found the Windjammer. All the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating; whoever does the hiring is fantastic because we have never seen employees in every department being so friendly and acknowledging your presence like they truly appreciate you as a guest! The restaurant is a little pricey but the food and service is some of the best we have ever had. Great indoor and outdoor pools for relaxing. Huge full complimentary breakfast included with lots of choices; the breakfast area is kept cleaned and well stocked the entire time it is open. Warm chocolate chip cookies at 8 PM are a super little bonus. Huge rooms with great housekeeping staff. Easy on and off the highway access. Close to a lot of fun activities, restaurants, breweries, and tasting places. The only thing they need to address is the carpeting; it is split and lifting in several areas in the halls and I forgot my slippers and could not walk on the carpet in our room because it had a sticky feeling. Everything else was so perfect, we could overlook the carpet.

In town for concert at Shelburne Museum and stayed here. As always, enjoyed our stay here. Pool was great with kids, though outdoor pool was a little chilly given it was overcast. Plenty of food options nearby and easy access to 89 make it a super convenient location.

This is a solid hotel in a great location. The physical structure is good, but what sets it apart is the people who work here. Everyone is warm and helpful. Jeffery, the overnight guy, could not have been more accommodating during our very late arrival. We felt welcome here, it was much appreciated. Oh, and the landscaping is far better than you would expect, the flowers were beautiful. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed staying here.

Pros: Solid breakfast buffet, fast internet, pool and reasonable price. Cons: First night we were kept awake by the upstairs neighbors (ceiling was very creaky) and the A/C (super rickety and rattled all night). The queen bed also didn't feel like a full queen. Thankfully they moved us to a king room on the top floor free of charge. That room was a big improvement but felt a little damp.

Close to amenities, shopping etc. good breakfast. Very nice area to visit and partake in the local area activities. Friendly , helpful people. Close to restaurants. Easy to find, light traffic and quiet atmosphere.

We spent 4 days and 3 nights at this Best Western motel. It was very busy but the staff were very good and we totally enjoyed our stay. The breakfast provided was well done and the choices were diverse (We especially enjoyed the Vermont maple syrup!)

Top marks for cleanliness, plenty of towels and soap etc for two women sharing a room, and NO carpet in the room nice hardwood floors I felt that the room was much cleaner and smelled better with the carpet gone. Beds were comfortable and there was a microwave and fridge in the room. They sold frozen pizza etc. in the lobby so you could grab something and cook it if you didn't want to go out. AND at 8:00 pm they bring out hot from the oven chocolate chip cookies and set them in the lobby for all of the guests. The complementary breakfast was better than average for having to cook ahead.

Nice, reasonably priced hotel that is very close to the Airport as well as Downtown Burlington. There is also a shuttle that can take you back and forth to the airport which is a nice tough. There is breakfast in the morning as well as free parking and you are also walking distance from a Starbucks if that's your jam. Also has a large parking lot. Check out was also quick and painless.

I've been to this hotel more than 5 times and it gets better every time. This was my 8th visit and the first visit with my new wife. She was absolutely blown away by every aspect of this hotel. Casey is the best. She's warm and welcoming and has always gone above and beyond for me. These are the qualities that any good manager should possess. Hospitality is expressed by every person that works here. Every room I've ever had has been big and spacious and clean. The bed is always comfortable with sheets that are fresh and clean. The hotel is easily accessible from I-89 at Exit 14E and it's a short distance off of US Route 2. Being the biggest city in Vermont, there are plenty of shopping and dining options within a 5 mile radius. And downtown Burlington is about 10 minutes from here. There are plenty of great bars and pubs in the downtown area and a lovely view of Lake Champlain. This is the best hotel we've stayed at in Vermont and in our top 10 for hotels worldwide. We will definitely stay here again and again.

Beds & pillows good & clean..Staff nice.. A/C didn't work right,would go on then turn off,never really got cool... Breakfast was decent..Had pre cooked oatmeal with toppings.. Girls not to friendly at breakfast..Busy town a lot to do..Alittle pricey...

The hotel and our room was clean, beautifully landscaped, nice pool indoors and out, very comfy bed, and nice variety of breakfast foods! Really enjoyed our dinner at Windjammer and so nice it was just out the hotel doors!

I stayed here Marathon/Memorial Day weekend. I am extremely pleased with my decision to stay here. It's not a luxury hotel, but its a 5 star, 4 star facility if that makes any sense. I almost missed it as it's tucked behind other buildings off the road. At first I commented, "it looks like an apartment complex". Trying to keep this concise, it's a great family hotel in a convenient location. Was super comfy, especially the bed and I'm finicky when it comes to that. Nice sized rooms (Micro and fridge) and bathroom (tub shower). Great amenities. Local restaurants, many in easy walking distance, were plentiful. Easy ride into Burlington. Staff was super friendly. Decent included breakfast. Was surprisingly quiet despite being busy. Nothing not to like. For Vermont City Marathoners, great option with bus service to start line and a great value.

I have stayed at this hotel several times a year for the last ten years; we utilize the University of Vermont Medical Center and this is right down the road. They offer a hospital rate; the staff is super friendly, the breakfast is delicious, the rooms are spotless. There isn't a negative thing I could say about this establishment; they've got my business for life!

I wasn't too excited to stay at this hotel. I had a work training and all the hotels downtown were either booked or way overpriced. I reluctantly booked this hotel, but can honestly say it was fabulous! The room was super clean and the beds are HEAVEN. The breakfast was varied and all the food items were fresh and repeatedly replenished (eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, etc). My kids used the indoor pool as the outdoor one was too cold, but we still got to sit outside in the evening sun to enjoy locally brewed beer on the adirondack chairs. The 8pm cookies were a HUGE hit with the kids. All the staff we encountered were super polite and the grounds are kept spotless. All this and only 3km from downtown. I will never stay anywhere else in Burlington :)

The place to stay if you have people at UVM! The staff is excellent, efficient, friendly, and accommodating! Shuttle service is always available. Great rooms, clean, nice complete breakfast. Decent room, clean & simple. Had a microwave & a fridge. We enjoyed the indoor pool (since it was too cold outside to use the outdoor pool). They had free cookies in the lobby at 8pm, which was nice. The breakfast buffet was excellent! (Includes scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, cereal, bagels, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice, etc.)

Best Western -Windjammer is very convenient to everything we needed for our trip to Burlington. Specifically, it is walking distance to the Higher Ground, plus other restaurants and shops. It is also just a few minutes from downtown Burlington. The food at the Upper Deck Pub was excellent, as was the service and selection of beers.

The only issues we had were the food at breakfast was horrible! Bread items were stale, hash browns were soggy and the eggs were watery!! At my request we were given a room near the stairwell.... we planned on bring our dog w/ us. Never again.... the door to the stairwell was very noisy!!!!!!!

Positives were that the staff was great and it's on the main drag. That said it's an older creaky hotel (stay on the upper floor as every foot step can be heard ) without a lot of charm and a ho hum breakfast

This is a well located hotel, staffed by friendly efficient people. The rooms are bright and well appointed. The breakfast buffet has real oatmeal and fixings, eggs, bacon,potato, lots of bread and roll options, coffee, tea juices. Everything was tasty. Didn't use the pool on this visit.

Excellent service, comfortable rooms, great restaurant. I have stayed here before and each time I have been very satisfied with everything. I love the cookies freely available in the lobby. I have never had any complaints.

I've stayed at the Best Western-Windjammer several times (at least 5). It is a clean and comfortable hotel, with good amenities on site (i.e. indoor/outdoor pools, workout room, etc...). Free hot breakfast in the morning was very tasty. The employees are typically very friendly and helpful, There is a FANTASTIC restaurant on site that's rated #2 in Burlington. The hotel is not new however, and the floors do creak, a lot! Sometimes noise from the hallways and adjoining rooms can be an issue, but that's usually due to inconsiderate guests and not the hotel itself (think children running down the halls, loud TV;s, etc...). All in all a comfortable hotel to stay in while visiting the Burlington, VT area.

Beautiful property in every aspect from the exterior to the room to the pool. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh, hot, tasty and well maintained. Bed was extremely comfortable. Water pressure and temperature of the shower was perfect. Room is very modern and kept clean.

My stay at this hotel was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The room was clean and well furnished with anything I might need. I fully recommend this facility to anyone wanting or needing to go to Burlington. I will definitely use the facility again if I get the chance.

I've been staying here when in the area on business for over 10 yrs. now, the staff is outstanding and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. When I walk in, no matter how long it's been since my last stay, I'm greeted like I'm family.

We were flying out of Burlington on March 14th and another noreaster was on the way. We changed our reservation for a 6 am flight and decided to use the sleep and fly program. Charlie checked us in and upgraded us to a king and we had a great conversation about March Madness and Vermont. The room was comfortable and the bed was great. The shuttle was on time and we were able to have a quick continental breakfast before we left. I think it is great that there is something to eat for the early traveler. Unfortunately, mother nature was not our friend and we flew out of Burlington 12 hours after we arrived at the airport.!!! We had a great meal at The Windjammer and appreciated that our server showed us a shortcut to get back to the hotel.

Great hotel. Staff is very friendly and professional. Rooms are comfortable and relaxing. Indoor heated pool is nice but could be warmer. Breakfast was good. Plus is that the restaurant, Windjammer, is right there, no need to travel further. Food is very good.

I've been to this hotel on several occasions and I always have an outstanding stay. The room is always clean and reasonably priced. Casey is one of the best managers I've ever dealt with at a hotel. She's warm and helpful and understandable and has always been accommodating when I've stayed here. That's how a hotel manager should be. The only complaint I have about this hotel is that I only get to stay here once a year. I love this hotel and I wouldn't go anywhere else. It will always be the only hotel I will stay at in the Burlington area. A+ stay

Hotel well located next to the excellent Windjammer Steak House. Check-in was efficient and the room was pleasant. We enjoyed the breakfast before departure but didn't use the pool or workout centre. We found the staff helpful and pleasant.

My daughter is at UVM so we stay here often enough. Sometimes just one of us, sometimes 3 of us. Staff always nice and helpful, room is clean, breakfast is a bit boring but it's free so no complaints. I was up last time to help my daughter as she sustained an injury. Staff let me have a late checkout, which was much appreciated as I had calls to make to doctors, insurance company, etc. Took me all morning. Free parking is nice to come and go, unlike if you stay downtown where you are charged and it's a hassle. They have great chocolate chip cookies to welcome you at night...yum!

Everything was good and the front desk and shuttle service were so helpful and made a stressful couple of days so much easier. The breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the bed was fine. Thank you again to the front desk and shuttle driver for being so helpful.

I think we got a good deal here by turning up on spec and we were very happy with it. The breakfast was good and there were constant hot drinks available and plenty of parking. The restaurant attached to the hotel was good too. It's not in a particularly exciting area on the edge of town, but good for shopping.

This was the smallest room I've ever stayed in but I really liked it. The bed was comfy. I could walk to the restaurant onsite for a tasty steak dinner and amazing salad bar. Warm cookies and milk served in the lobby at 8:00. Helpful staff. Very well respected locally. Kurieg in the room.

Like staying at this place when I visit Burlington, VT (I do at least once a year). Staff is great, rooms/facilities good for cost, area safe/close to what I am doing in area. Love the pools! Great restaurant/bar on property.

Very happy with my stay. Room was well kept and staff was helpful, friendly and attentive. Did not have a chance to check out the pool but I look forward to checking it out next time. Breakfast was better that expected and both my girls found something they liked to eat.

First time staying at this particular Best Western. The difference here is the staff. Polite, friendly & care about the guest. Hope management gives them the appreciation they deserve. From reservation, check in, cleaning staff & even maintenance everyone was professional & gave great customer service. On line Check In requests were actually looked at!!! Only points that need improvement are the breakfast & check in area. They are to close together. Not pleasant in the deep freeze. Clients having breakfast were cold & so was staff at front desk. Breakfast area also needs more supervision especially when there are a lot of people. Best Western should consider a rubber mat in the room when people walk in. Boots in winter directly on carpet or hard wood floor not ideal. Only other issue, paper amenities much to harsh. Great asset is the Restaurant next door. (should consider giving BEST WESTERN clients a percentage off ) All in all very good & will return again.

We have visited the BW Windjammer on numerous occasions and have always been pleased with our sojourn Great location 1...close to interstate 89 2...near Burlington centre 3...near Champlain Mall and other services We certainly appreciate having a nice restaurant on premise The suite we occupied was very nice

This hotel is a rare gem. Well managed, professional staff, competitively priced, well located, great restaurant and pub attached. This place is a rare mix of hotel professionalism and personal service. Well done!

We've stayed at the Windjammer twice in the last week, once without a reservation and once with one, and both times have had a great stay. Very comfortable beds, freshly-painted and decorated rooms, very clean, friendly and obliging staff members. For free hotel breakfasts, the breakfast was pretty good, too. This is our current favorite hotel in Burlington when we have to stay overnight on an airport run, and it's a great bargain for the price. We also ate in the restaurant on our last night and had a terrific meal. A+++

Overall, we were happy with the stay and would stay again. The breakfast was very good, the room a bit small, but clean. The pool was warm and perfect on a frigid morning. The hotel is in a perfect location if you're attending a concert at The Higher Ground and have the money to book a hotel for the night. The layout of the hotel in odd, since it wraps around The Windjammer restaurant, but convenient if you plan to eat at The Windjammer.

Stayed here for 1 night while traveling through New England for a week - most of the hotels in the area were full, including this one. The room itself was nice & the bed comfortable, staff were friendly...the only drawback is that the hotel appears to be built as if it were one large stick-frame house - meaning that there is not a lot of insulation between rooms & the hallway creaked a bit as we rounded the long corridor to our upstairs room...fortunately the guests were relatively quiet upon settling in to their rooms. The best rooms would probably be near the far ends of the halls if noise is an issue. That being said, we did not have a bad experience, & I wouldn't be bothered by staying at this location again.

I have stayed here five or so times in the past four months and each time has been very comfortable with pleasant staff. Indoor and outdoor pools are a plus as well as the location being so close to UVM and Lake Champlain.

I stay at the BW Windjammer several times a month and always feel welcome. The front desk staff is always so friendly and greets me by name. The restaurant and lounge is the best hotel restaurant and lounge I know of. The food is amazing and the pub always has a great selection of local beers. I don't like being away from home but always look forward to checking in to the 'Jammer.

So, this spread-out maze of a hotel (read: 3rd floor is 4th floor) is an easy place to crash. Located just off main highway intersections, it's perfect if you're traveling round and about Vermont. Good shower, good coffee, nice folks. And, that's a good thing because you can hear everything anyone is doing within a, say, 10-room perimeter. Everything. Just sayin'. Got upgraded to a king suite, which was just great. Would stay here again.

If not clear enough in the title, we had a GREAT weekend! Would definitely come back! We have an annual "after Black Friday" hopping trip to Burlington and thought to give the BW a try....glad we did! The location, the amenities, the staff second to none!

Only thing that was a little disappointing was the mattress was too soft! Other than that, the hotel was great. Staff was welcoming and accommodating. The location for our purpose was perfect. centrally located. Breakfast was OK ... Son loved the OJ said it was the best!

Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. The elevator was being replaced at the time but they asked us several times if we were okay with walking up the stairs. It was fine even though we were on the third floor, there were not many steps. Breakfast was good. Food was hot and the staff made sure it never ran out.

Wonderful experience, comfortable room, friendly staff, good breakfast, terrific dinner next door at the Windjammer. All in all, a relaxing and easy stay. The hotel lobby had delicious coffee and comfortable seating for our group.

It was a very nice stay. Although the room was very small, the staff were pleasant, the breakfast was good, and the pool was fabulous...warm and clean. We went to the restaurant next door and had a nice drink before retiring for the night.

Beautiful hotel with nice rooms. Location close to the hospital, mall and many, many stores. dBeds and pillows could have been more comfortable. Fan that controlled the heat was quite noisy. The Pub Restaurant at the hotel had excellent meals.

Hotel was very clean and staff was very pleasant and helpful. The indoor pool was a bonus and was very clean. The children really enjoyed this feature. The breakfast was very good and had ample choices. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

I stayed here for three nights while visiting a family member at the very close by University hospital. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and comfortable. The restaurant is mere steps from the lobby and has a great salad bar and the prime rib was both generous in portion and served as I requested (RARE). This will now be my "go to" place to stay in Burlington.

We chose this hotel because we are reward members and boy are we glad we did! The hotel sits back off the road which was good because it is a main road right off the expressway. The person at the front desk, Charlie, was very friendly, knew about the area and gave us some great info. He knew the answers to all our questions and even gave us some tips for parking downtown. We received an upgrade and our room was very clean, large and had everything we needed. The view was of the courtyard which had holiday lights on at night and made it nice. The breakfast area was spotless and the food was fresh and hot. The staff in the breakfast area keep it very nice. The food choices were better than most. They have coffee 24hrs and in the evening milk and cookies. We ate at the pub on site and it was nice it was on property. The location is only a few miles from downtown, which is worth the drive. also walking to a few different choices for food and even shopping. I would stay here again if in that part of Vermont again.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Best Western in Burlington. The rooms are very clean, staff is super friendly and the continental breakfast was a great value! we really enjoyed the salt water poos and the fitness center was small but adequate for our needs.

This hotel provides all your needs: indoor pool, workout room, hot breakfast (including organic steel cut oats); great proximity to downtown Burlington and UVM. The staff deserves a big shout out, very helpful and courteous.

I was so pleasantly surprised by my stay at this hotel. Once inside, it was comfortable, clean, up to date, and just peaceful! We had a great dinner at the Windjammer, the room was comfortable and clean (and I'm picky!!), the amenities were great and the little touches made a big difference.

We had a suite with both of our kids having their own bed and the parents a separate room with a king sized one. The beds were very comfortable, the hotel restaurant was a real surprise with great steaks and seafood and a great salad bar (the place seems very popular with the locals as it was quite busy). We used the indoor pool which was fine as well. For the price we paid, the hotel surpassed our expectations... Will definitely go back if we stay in Burlington...

Unfortunately we arrived along with sports teams on a Friday night. Finding dinner without leaving the premises was a challenge but we finally scored a table in the bar and made a dinner out of snacks and soup. The room was lovely and clean and we had a good night's sleep after the sports kids stopped running up and down the halls. Again in the morning the small breakfast room was overwhelmed. Breakfast did feature bacon and sausage but our group had to split up and sit separately.

The walls are very thin and you can hear people talking to each other. High school and collegiate teams are housed here on weekends in the fall and it is very noisy out front, so ask for a room in the back.

Usually stay at a Best Western Hotel. Breakfast is excellent. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, the only thing is that we have no more hot bath, my husband and myself were always in the hot bath..you also need a steam room that we would enjoy very much.

I usually use a different hotel chain but the wedding blocked rooms here for a very reasonable rate. I was happy to find that this property was just as good as my “go to” property choice. The breakfast was extensive and offered literally something for everyone. The staff were friendly and professional and the beds were extremely comfortable. I would definitely choose this property again!

Hotel was clean and centrally located. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was very good with many choices available. Shuttle service was excellent. The Windjammer restaurant was excellent. with a lunch and dinner menu. Menu for dinner needed some choices for children.

The Best Western Windjammer in Burlington Vermont was one of the highlights of our trip. We had a mini suite with a king size bed. Very nicely appointed, clean and tidy. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools and at night had an absolutely wonderful meal in their 5 star restaurant. Every member of the staff were friendly and did everything they could to make our visit a pleasant one. This is without a doubt one of the best hotels we have ever visited. We give it a 6 out of 5! I just know you will enjoy your stay here just as much as we did. Relax and enjoy.

Good location just outside the city of Burlington VT, includes shuttle service into town, great value, wonderful breakfast, clean comfortable rooms. Windjammer Resturaunt is just a few feet away for a great meal! Highly recommend!!!!

I always stay at this hotel when I'm in Vermont. The location is great, rooms are spacious and comfortable. The fitness center has many machines as well as free weights. And of the course the restaurant is a great and convenient place to grab dinner.

Love this place. Wonderful staff, best restaurant in Burlington and probably all of Vermont. Incredible prime rib and steaks. The perfect place to stay for any event in Burlington and ideal if you are flying out of BTV. Great bed, great food and free shuttle to airport.

Easy access to highways and downtown or airport. Friendly, good breakfast. Clean room, slept great despite bad back. It's a bit confusing trying to find the lobby as the front of the hotel faces what I would consider the rear, the back of the building. Just need better signs.

Everything very clean and well-maintained. Airport shuttle available 24 hrs. Staff competent, helpful, friendly. Group gathers around the warm choco-chip cookies in the lobby. Good location. Restaurant on property, but we did not have the chance to dine there. Will return!

We stayed at the Best Western in VT while traveling to our Canada. Three nights total, two on the front end and one returning home. Staff was very helpful. We travel with our golden retriever and the facility has nice surroundings to take her for a brief walk. It is also located near restaurants within walking distance. Though not next to the downtown area, the city is easy to access. Overall, a great place and we will be back.

We've stayed here on & off for years. Great restaurant, food was cooked perfectly. Hotel is near the Burlington airport & offers a free shuttle. Near good shopping. Free fresh chocolate chip cookies at 8:00 PM. Has a lively bar.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast offerings, many choices of hot and cold food. Clean well maintained rooms. Free use of computer and printer was very helpful. Plenty of parking in well lit parking lot.

No complaints on this hotel. It was clean, the staff was kind, and it was affordable. I was only 10 minutes from the venue at which I was performing. The next day I enjoyed the complementary breakfast. There was a nice selection.

Very clean hotel, very friendly staff. Complimentary hot buffet breakfast. Coffee 24/7 in the lobby. Restaurant was very good, upstairs lounge was very good too. I'd definitely go back. The only disappointment was the creeky wood floors in the hallways.

We were in town for a family gathering due to a death in the family.. Staying in a place as accommodating as this with such great service, nice surrounding and a great staff made a difficult trip so much easier!

Great hotel, lovely, friendly and helpful staff on reception. The hotel was in a great location just outside of the main part of Burlington, close to the university and also great proximity to the airport which was only a 5 minute drive away. There is a Starbucks within walking distance as well. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. It was also equipped with a microwave and fridge which is always a bonus. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed lunch here with friends. The baked haddock and Mediteranean salmon were moist and nicely seasoned. The chicken salad wrap was generous and delicious. I had the classic reuben that had plenty of thinly sliced corned beef and swiss cheese, but it could have used a bit more Thousand Island dressing. The light rye bread was sliced just right. Would have liked a little more sauerkraut as well. The side was cole slaw that is very tasty and not runny or dry. The Gluten free flourless chocolate cake was decadent! Very chocolatey, rich and gave me a buzz like a pot of coffee. It came sitting in a raspberry coulis with a little whipped cream on top. We have all eaten here before and continue to return because of the great food and service staff.

Pleasantly surprised, had not been to a best western in years. defenitely putting back on my list.Realy enjoyed the restaurant priced reasonably and great selection. Halway carpets could use some updating but very clean overall.

My mom, 2 sisters and I went to the Windjammer Restaurant for dinner having heard the salad bar was the biggest in the East. Well, it is pretty darn big and the red meat that we ordered to go with the salad bar was exceptionally tasty; the salmon had to have a little more time under the broiler. Certainly would go back if I have a chance. Pricing was reasonable once we found the light fare - a smaller portion which fit our appetites just fine. Our lodging was just across the street at the Double Tree.

Step aside businessmen leaf peepers in town. Management seemed to have little concern for business customer's needs while hoards of eager foliage enthusiasts shuffled around the lobby. While charging more than the Sheraton down the street. Sad.

Rooms very clean and comfortable with all you need for a good nights rest. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit cheap and cheerful with plastic cutlery and buffet limited and not very hot. Otherwise a good place to stay.

We stayed here during parents weekend. Since I wasn't aware it was parents weekend I felt lucky to get a room at the last minute. However the price was jacked- our room was $238 and it was comparable to a Microtel, size wise. Everything else was nice- clean, ok breakfast, comfy bed and pillows. But the odor! We actually couldn't stay long in the room- smelled like someone dumped perfume in the room. In reading other reviews I'm wondering if this was to mask issues with mold. The hotel desk clerk stated they had not received complaints which really surprised me.

Helpful staff, cookies every evening. Indoor pool a plus, but wish there were a hot tub. Outdoor pool looked inviting. Breakfast was very good. Restaurant food was fair, do not recommend the meatloaf. Salmon was excellent. Room was nice, but very small desk, and very soft bed if that is your preference. Would stay again.

Best Western Winjammer is excellent hotel for the price. Centrally located in Burlington Vt it met my families needs. There is a pool and decent fitness center and it's within walking distance of Starbucks, Green Juice Place, Yoga and Barre class. Located only 6 minutes from the airport.

Stayed here while I moved my daughter into UVM. The location is great and not a long car ride from the college. It is set back from the road and trees buffer highway noise so it is quiet. Our room was very clean, spacious and had a fridge and a microwave. Beds were comfortable. I always tip the maid each day and came back to find the tip not taken! Front Desk very pleasant with fresh cookies at night. The breakfast is standard with several protein options. Coffee was actually pretty good and out 24/7. Would definitely return.

This hotel isn't located close to much except the freeway and it's set back on property that borders the woods. It's absolutely beautiful. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a junior suite which was very nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant on the property which specializes in seafood and has a salad bar as well as Vermont cheese you slice yourself. They offer warm cookies with milk in the evening but we were too full to try any. I would definitely stay there again.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was the first time we brought our dog and I was concerned about the cleanliness of a "pet friendly" room - no smell and it was immaculate! Staff also new the area very well and were able to give us great directions and local info.

Unfortunately the young woman who checked us in must have been having a bad day because she could barely crack a smile. That set the tone for our stay. I had a $10 off coupon which I presented to her and she said that she would deduct it from our room rate. When we checked out the next morning and reviewed the receipt, the $10 had not been deducted. The morning clerk corrected this. When we got to our room there was no information about local resources - restaurants, shopping, etc. - typical of what you would find in any other hotel. When I went back to the front desk the Manager on duty explained that they were a "green" hotel and I had to ask him for information. (?) Our room was small and the A/C unit was noisy, but the bed was comfortable and we did have a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The indoor and out door swimming pools were a bonus as was proximity to the Windjammer bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of foods and the attendant worked hard to keep the area tidy and the food replenished. The two maintenance men who we encountered were both very helpful and pleasant!

No planning. We happened on this hotel. Staff was personable. The place was clean and the food was terrific. Delightful place what more could you ask for? Try the restaurant, interesting menu. Dinner was delicious.

Comfortable, modern, and close to the airport. Warm cookies in the lobby every evening was a nice touch. The restaurant and upstairs pub on the hotel grounds made it easy for two tired travelers to have a great meal without having to drive all over town! This was the best hotel in our 3-state New England trip. Wish I'd had more time in Burlington, I'd have loved to extend my stay here!

I drove by the hotel because the sign did not stand out like the other hotels in the area. The car GPS told us we arrived at the destination but it was different hotel. You have to look out for the Windjammer restaurant sign rather than the BW sign. The restaurant sign is much bigger. The ac was noisy and kept us up most of the one night we stayed there. Also the floor above us creaked. The occupants in the room above us were walking around the room until early morning. Between the noisy AC and the creaking floors above us, we hardly slept! On the plus side, the breakfast had a wider selection compared to other hotels.

We recently stayed for a long weekend at the Best Western and enjoyed the many amenities offered. The hotel is set back from the main road and is very quiet when sitting or swimming in the beautiful pool. It also has a restuarant, a little pricey, and pub offering delicious food. In general the hotel is very comfortable, the free breakfast offers a good selection and the staff is very polite and willing to help.

Great place ot stay with friendly staff and a great restaurant. We had great service from check in to check out including the dining with a good salad bar.The location is wonderful for getting to any destination as rt 89 is right there.

Great place for a last minute getaway. Great full breakfast, employees very friendly. Room clean, but somewhat small. Close to restaurants, pool clean and nice. Late nite treat of warm cookies and milk a nice touch.

clean room with normal amenities - good heat/AC unit - just turn it off before going to bed for a quiet night. breakfast in morning was okay - liked the cinnamon pastries. Pleasant staff made for a comfortable stay.

Overall experience was above average. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel design was poor as the elevator was at one end. A long wall to our room. Room did not have any seating. Included breakfast was satisfactory.

This is our fourth stay at this BW hotel in Burlington, VT. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. It's a great location for anything you would need! They have a great complimentary breakfast, which is such a plus. The Windjammer restaurant is fabulous! We have eaten there a half dozen times and always walk away stuffed with a smile on our faces! A very clean and well kept hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The pools were great as was the breakfast. Our only complaint was the size of the room. I think it was one of the smallest room we ever had. It was a handicapped room and the bathroom was big with a great walk-in shower but the room itself was very small lacking room for suitcases and the smallest closet we had ever seen. Otherwise it was great.

I just needed a comfortable bed, and wanted to feel safe and secure in the hotel. This hotel provided that, but little else. It was extremely hard to find the driveway at night, and then to find the actual lobby. Many families with small kids running around, screaming in the morning. Could have been $75 less for the amount of comfort I enjoyed.

Everything was serviced perfectly. I had a great time in this city and this hotel let me to have a great rest during my vacation time. The break fast was very good. The stores around the Hotel are so helpful to provide your needs.

When my company booked me at this hotel I was a bit suspicious, since airport BWs are not usually my cup of tea, but when I read the reviews, I was cautiously optimistic. The reality of the hotel wasn't as good as I had hoped. The good: staff was very nice and helpful. Clearly a high point. Cleanliness of the common areas was also above expectations. The bad: hotel was a bit tired. Decor was spartan. My biggest concern was that the room reeked of cleaning fluids. I was too tired to change rooms, and frankly I thought that may be the norm for the hotel.

We only stayed one night but the room was spacious and clean, with amenities like fridge, microwave, wi-fi, windows that open. Also a nice swimming pool that was open early (7 am) so I could swim some laps. The Windjammer restaurant has a wide menu and a large salad bar, including cheese and good bread. The meals were prepared very well and very tasty. I had a wonderful ravioli stuffed with squash, sweet potatoes, nuts and mushrooms, in a great sauce. My husband had the petite filet. Excellent.

We stayed at the Windjammer prior to an early morning visit to the medical center. The hotel was proximate to the interstate and the medical center and near to downtown Burlington for dinner. The room and bathroom were small but very clean and simple. I like the wood floors that seem less dirty than carpet. The bed was comfortable. There was a TV, microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator. 24 hour coffee and tea and a decent breakfast buffet available at 6:30 were very convenient. There was easy access from the parking lot. We didn't plan on a romantic stay prior to a medical procedure, so the Windjammer worked very well for our purposes. There was a medical center rate that made it a very good value. If we return to Burlington for another medical visit or for an early morning business meeting, I would stay here again.

Have been coming to this hotel since my daughter wanted to tour UVM. The staff is great, rooms are clean. Great breakfast and it close to university. My husband and I stayed here to move her into UVM. We will be back for Parents weekend in October.

Staff and service was fine but room had large water stain on ceiling above bed and carpet felt slightly damp. Breakfast was not very good. They ran out of eggs and hash browns were hard. Convenient location to University of Vermont

we are always happy with our stay here...love the outside pool! very clean hotel great location..we have been staying here to visit our daughter at University of Vermont for several year now always happy

Easy check in and check out. Clean indoor and outdoor pool. Decent restaurant, pub, and pool bar. Cookies in the lobby at night was a nice touch. Friendly staff. Location perfect for UVM and Burlington.
