« Great hotel in beautiful Burlington »

I wasn't too excited to stay at this hotel. I had a work training and all the hotels downtown were either booked or way overpriced. I reluctantly booked this hotel, but can honestly say it was fabulous! The room was super clean and the beds are HEAVEN. The breakfast was varied and all the food items were fresh and repeatedly replenished (eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, etc). My kids used the indoor pool as the outdoor one was too cold, but we still got to sit outside in the evening sun to enjoy locally brewed beer on the adirondack chairs. The 8pm cookies were a HUGE hit with the kids. All the staff we encountered were super polite and the grounds are kept spotless. All this and only 3km from downtown. I will never stay anywhere else in Burlington :)

    « Fabulous place! »

The place to stay if you have people at UVM! The staff is excellent, efficient, friendly, and accommodating! Shuttle service is always available. Great rooms, clean, nice complete breakfast. The Windjammer is an top-notch restaurant and the hotel is convenient to many places. I don't think it could be BEAT:)! Special thanks to Kelsey, and Jason at the front desk!

« Nice hotel, great service! »

Decent room, clean & simple. Had a microwave & a fridge. We enjoyed the indoor pool (since it was too cold outside to use the outdoor pool). They had free cookies in the lobby at 8pm, which was nice. The breakfast buffet was excellent! (Includes scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, cereal, bagels, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice, etc.)

    « Convenient and Relaxing »

Best Western -Windjammer is very convenient to everything we needed for our trip to Burlington. Specifically, it is walking distance to the Higher Ground, plus other restaurants and shops. It is also just a few minutes from downtown Burlington. The food at the Upper Deck Pub was excellent, as was the service and selection of beers.

    « 1st Time Moer's »

The only issues we had were the food at breakfast was horrible! Bread items were stale, hash browns were soggy and the eggs were watery!! At my request we were given a room near the stairwell.... we planned on bring our dog w/ us. Never again.... the door to the stairwell was very noisy!!!!!!!

    3
« It is what it is.... »

Positives were that the staff was great and it's on the main drag. That said it's an older creaky hotel (stay on the upper floor as every foot step can be heard ) without a lot of charm and a ho hum breakfast

« Great Place to Stay »

Nice Hotel - great location. Would stay again. Lots to do in the area. I did stay for Business. But thinking I might have to go again with the family. And for sure would use this hotel. Nice and Clean

    « love this place »

This is a well located hotel, staffed by friendly efficient people. The rooms are bright and well appointed. The breakfast buffet has real oatmeal and fixings, eggs, bacon, potato, lots of bread and roll options, coffee, tea juices. Everything was tasty. Didn't use the pool on this visit.

    5
    « Excellent »

Excellent service, comfortable rooms, great restaurant. I have stayed here before and each time I have been very satisfied with everything. I love the cookies freely available in the lobby. I have never had any complaints.

« Comfortable Hotel With Friendly Employees »

I've stayed at the Best Western-Windjammer several times (at least 5). It is a clean and comfortable hotel, with good amenities on site (i.e. indoor/outdoor pools, workout room, etc...). Free hot breakfast in the morning was very tasty. The employees are typically very friendly and helpful, There is a FANTASTIC restaurant on site that's rated #2 in Burlington. The hotel is not new however, and the floors do creak, a lot! Sometimes noise from the hallways and adjoining rooms can be an issue, but that's usually due to inconsiderate guests and not the hotel itself (think children running down the halls, loud TV;s, etc...). All in all a comfortable hotel to stay in while visiting the Burlington, VT area.

    5
« Excellent hotel. All of my expectations were exceeded. »

Beautiful property in every aspect from the exterior to the room to the pool. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh, hot, tasty and well maintained. Bed was extremely comfortable. Water pressure and temperature of the shower was perfect. Room is very modern and kept clean.

    5
    « Can't beat the service »

My stay at this hotel was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The room was clean and well furnished with anything I might need. I fully recommend this facility to anyone wanting or needing to go to Burlington. I will definitely use the facility again if I get the chance.

    « Return Business Trip »

I've been staying here when in the area on business for over 10 yrs. now, the staff is outstanding and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. When I walk in, no matter how long it's been since my last stay, I'm greeted like I'm family.

« Always a great place to stay. »

We were flying out of Burlington on March 14th and another noreaster was on the way. We changed our reservation for a 6 am flight and decided to use the sleep and fly program. Charlie checked us in and upgraded us to a king and we had a great conversation about March Madness and Vermont. The room was comfortable and the bed was great. The shuttle was on time and we were able to have a quick continental breakfast before we left. I think it is great that there is something to eat for the early traveler. Unfortunately, mother nature was not our friend and we flew out of Burlington 12 hours after we arrived at the airport.!!! We had a great meal at The Windjammer and appreciated that our server showed us a shortcut to get back to the hotel.

    « Weekend getaway »

Great hotel. Staff is very friendly and professional. Rooms are comfortable and relaxing. Indoor heated pool is nice but could be warmer. Breakfast was good. Plus is that the restaurant, Windjammer, is right there, no need to travel further. Food is very good.

« The finest lodging in Vermont »

I've been to this hotel on several occasions and I always have an outstanding stay. The room is always clean and reasonably priced. Casey is one of the best managers I've ever dealt with at a hotel. She's warm and helpful and understandable and has always been accommodating when I've stayed here. That's how a hotel manager should be. The only complaint I have about this hotel is that I only get to stay here once a year. I love this hotel and I wouldn't go anywhere else. It will always be the only hotel I will stay at in the Burlington area. A+ stay

    4
« Convenient hotel with nice staff »

Hotel well located next to the excellent Windjammer Steak House. Check-in was efficient and the room was pleasant. We enjoyed the breakfast before departure but didn't use the pool or workout centre. We found the staff helpful and pleasant.

    « Stay here often..always reliable »

My daughter is at UVM so we stay here often enough. Sometimes just one of us, sometimes 3 of us. Staff always nice and helpful, room is clean, breakfast is a bit boring but it's free so no complaints. I was up last time to help my daughter as she sustained an injury. Staff let me have a late checkout, which was much appreciated as I had calls to make to doctors, insurance company, etc. Took me all morning. Free parking is nice to come and go, unlike if you stay downtown where you are charged and it's a hassle. They have great chocolate chip cookies to welcome you at night...yum!

    5
« Quick stay while family member was in the hospital »

Everything was good and the front desk and shuttle service were so helpful and made a stressful couple of days so much easier. The breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the bed was fine. Thank you again to the front desk and shuttle driver for being so helpful.

    « Very reasonably priced »

I think we got a good deal here by turning up on spec and we were very happy with it. The breakfast was good and there were constant hot drinks available and plenty of parking. The restaurant attached to the hotel was good too. It's not in a particularly exciting area on the edge of town, but good for shopping.

    4
« Great place with busy local restaurant onsite »

This was the smallest room I've ever stayed in but I really liked it. The bed was comfy. I could walk to the restaurant onsite for a tasty steak dinner and amazing salad bar. Warm cookies and milk served in the lobby at 8:00. Helpful staff. Very well respected locally. Kurieg in the room.

    5
« Great place for Burlington, VT area stay »

Like staying at this place when I visit Burlington, VT (I do at least once a year). Staff is great, rooms/facilities good for cost, area safe/close to what I am doing in area. Love the pools! Great restaurant/bar on property.

    5
« Happy to Book again in the Future »

Very happy with my stay. Room was well kept and staff was helpful, friendly and attentive. Did not have a chance to check out the pool but I look forward to checking it out next time. Breakfast was better that expected and both my girls found something they liked to eat.

« Great STAFF!!! Customer Service Spot on!!! »

First time staying at this particular Best Western. The difference here is the staff. Polite, friendly & care about the guest. Hope management gives them the appreciation they deserve. From reservation, check in, cleaning staff & even maintenance everyone was professional & gave great customer service. On line Check In requests were actually looked at!!! Only points that need improvement are the breakfast & check in area. They are to close together. Not pleasant in the deep freeze. Clients having breakfast were cold & so was staff at front desk. Breakfast area also needs more supervision especially when there are a lot of people. Best Western should consider a rubber mat in the room when people walk in. Boots in winter directly on carpet or hard wood floor not ideal. Only other issue, paper amenities much to harsh. Great asset is the Restaurant next door. (should consider giving BEST WESTERN clients a percentage off ) All in all very good & will return again.

    « GREAT VALUE »

We have visited the BW Windjammer on numerous occasions and have always been pleased with our sojourn Great location 1...close to interstate 89 2...near Burlington centre 3...near Champlain Mall and other services We certainly appreciate having a nice restaurant on premise The suite we occupied was very nice

    5
    « Best Western Burlington - Excellent »

This hotel is a rare gem. Well managed, professional staff, competitively priced, well located, great restaurant and pub attached. This place is a rare mix of hotel professionalism and personal service. Well done!

    5
« Fresh, Clean, Friendly, Comfortable: A Great Value! »

We've stayed at the Windjammer twice in the last week, once without a reservation and once with one, and both times have had a great stay. Very comfortable beds, freshly-painted and decorated rooms, very clean, friendly and obliging staff members. For free hotel breakfasts, the breakfast was pretty good, too. This is our current favorite hotel in Burlington when we have to stay overnight on an airport run, and it's a great bargain for the price. We also ate in the restaurant on our last night and had a terrific meal. A+++

    4
« Good service, clean room, friendly staff »

Overall, we were happy with the stay and would stay again. The breakfast was very good, the room a bit small, but clean. The pool was warm and perfect on a frigid morning. The hotel is in a perfect location if you're attending a concert at The Higher Ground and have the money to book a hotel for the night. The layout of the hotel in odd, since it wraps around The Windjammer restaurant, but convenient if you plan to eat at The Windjammer.

    3
    « Decent Night's Rest »

Stayed here for 1 night while traveling through New England for a week - most of the hotels in the area were full, including this one. The room itself was nice & the bed comfortable, staff were friendly...the only drawback is that the hotel appears to be built as if it were one large stick-frame house - meaning that there is not a lot of insulation between rooms & the hallway creaked a bit as we rounded the long corridor to our upstairs room...fortunately the guests were relatively quiet upon settling in to their rooms. The best rooms would probably be near the far ends of the halls if noise is an issue. That being said, we did not have a bad experience, & I wouldn't be bothered by staying at this location again.

  • 5
« Great Experience Yet Again »

I have stayed here five or so times in the past four months and each time has been very comfortable with pleasant staff. Indoor and outdoor pools are a plus as well as the location being so close to UVM and Lake Champlain.

    5
    « A great place to stay »

I stay at the BW Windjammer several times a month and always feel welcome. The front desk staff is always so friendly and greets me by name. The restaurant and lounge is the best hotel restaurant and lounge I know of. The food is amazing and the pub always has a great selection of local beers. I don't like being away from home but always look forward to checking in to the 'Jammer.

    4
« Clean, chirpy staff, so-so breakfast...and zero noise insulation »

So, this spread-out maze of a hotel (read: 3rd floor is 4th floor) is an easy place to crash. Located just off main highway intersections, it's perfect if you're traveling round and about Vermont. Good shower, good coffee, nice folks. And, that's a good thing because you can hear everything anyone is doing within a, say, 10-room perimeter. Everything. Just sayin'. Got upgraded to a king suite, which was just great. Would stay here again.

    5
« Great stay, great location, great service, great value! »

If not clear enough in the title, we had a GREAT weekend! Would definitely come back! We have an annual "after Black Friday" hopping trip to Burlington and thought to give the BW a try....glad we did! The location, the amenities, the staff second to none!

    5
    « Mattress too Soft »

Only thing that was a little disappointing was the mattress was too soft! Other than that, the hotel was great. Staff was welcoming and accommodating. The location for our purpose was perfect. centrally located. Breakfast was OK ... Son loved the OJ said it was the best!

    4
« Quick trip to Burlington »

Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. The elevator was being replaced at the time but they asked us several times if we were okay with walking up the stairs. It was fine even though we were on the third floor, there were not many steps. Breakfast was good. Food was hot and the staff made sure it never ran out.

    5
    « Great Burlington Option »

Wonderful experience, comfortable room, friendly staff, good breakfast, terrific dinner next door at the Windjammer. All in all, a relaxing and easy stay. The hotel lobby had delicious coffee and comfortable seating for our group.

    4
« Nice place to stay when visiting grandaughter at college! »

It was a very nice stay. Although the room was very small, the staff were pleasant, the breakfast was good, and the pool was fabulous...warm and clean. We went to the restaurant next door and had a nice drink before retiring for the night.

    5
    « richlaura61 »

Beautiful hotel with nice rooms. Location close to the hospital, mall and many, many stores. dBeds and pillows could have been more comfortable. Fan that controlled the heat was quite noisy. The Pub Restaurant at the hotel had excellent meals.

    5
    « Personal »

Hotel was very clean and staff was very pleasant and helpful. The indoor pool was a bonus and was very clean. The children really enjoyed this feature. The breakfast was very good and had ample choices. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

  • 5
    « Highly recommended »

I stayed here for three nights while visiting a family member at the very close by University hospital. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and comfortable. The restaurant is mere steps from the lobby and has a great salad bar and the prime rib was both generous in portion and served as I requested (RARE). This will now be my "go to" place to stay in Burlington.

    5
    « great find »

We chose this hotel because we are reward members and boy are we glad we did! The hotel sits back off the road which was good because it is a main road right off the expressway. The person at the front desk, Charlie, was very friendly, knew about the area and gave us some great info. He knew the answers to all our questions and even gave us some tips for parking downtown. We received an upgrade and our room was very clean, large and had everything we needed. The view was of the courtyard which had holiday lights on at night and made it nice. The breakfast area was spotless and the food was fresh and hot. The staff in the breakfast area keep it very nice. The food choices were better than most. They have coffee 24hrs and in the evening milk and cookies. We ate at the pub on site and it was nice it was on property. The location is only a few miles from downtown, which is worth the drive. also walking to a few different choices for food and even shopping. I would stay here again if in that part of Vermont again.

    5
    « Another excellent stay »

This is the second time we have stayed at the Best Western in Burlington. The rooms are very clean, staff is super friendly and the continental breakfast was a great value! we really enjoyed the salt water poos and the fitness center was small but adequate for our needs.

    5
    « Pleasant, attentive staff! »

This hotel provides all your needs: indoor pool, workout room, hot breakfast (including organic steel cut oats); great proximity to downtown Burlington and UVM. The staff deserves a big shout out, very helpful and courteous.

    5
    « Perfect Oasis! »

I was so pleasantly surprised by my stay at this hotel. Once inside, it was comfortable, clean, up to date, and just peaceful! We had a great dinner at the Windjammer, the room was comfortable and clean (and I'm picky!!), the amenities were great and the little touches made a big difference.

    5
    « Great stay! »

We had a suite with both of our kids having their own bed and the parents a separate room with a king sized one. The beds were very comfortable, the hotel restaurant was a real surprise with great steaks and seafood and a great salad bar (the place seems very popular with the locals as it was quite busy). We used the indoor pool which was fine as well. For the price we paid, the hotel surpassed our expectations... Will definitely go back if we stay in Burlington...

    5
    « Busy weekend »

Unfortunately we arrived along with sports teams on a Friday night. Finding dinner without leaving the premises was a challenge but we finally scored a table in the bar and made a dinner out of snacks and soup. The room was lovely and clean and we had a good night's sleep after the sports kids stopped running up and down the halls. Again in the morning the small breakfast room was overwhelmed. Breakfast did feature bacon and sausage but our group had to split up and sit separately.

    3
    « Too noisy »

The walls are very thin and you can hear people talking to each other. High school and collegiate teams are housed here on weekends in the fall and it is very noisy out front, so ask for a room in the back.

    4
« I like best Western Hotels...when ever I travel through out the states I always try to find a Best Western Hotel. Break »

Usually stay at a Best Western Hotel. Breakfast is excellent. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, the only thing is that we have no more hot bath, my husband and myself were always in the hot bath..you also need a steam room that we would enjoy very much.

    5
    « Better than Anticipated »

I usually use a different hotel chain but the wedding blocked rooms here for a very reasonable rate. I was happy to find that this property was just as good as my ?go to? property choice. The breakfast was extensive and offered literally something for everyone. The staff were friendly and professional and the beds were extremely comfortable. I would definitely choose this property again!

« Good Place to stay »

Hotel was clean and centrally located. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was very good with many choices available. Shuttle service was excellent. The Windjammer restaurant was excellent. with a lunch and dinner menu. Menu for dinner needed some choices for children.

    « Road Trip 2017 »

The Best Western Windjammer in Burlington Vermont was one of the highlights of our trip. We had a mini suite with a king size bed. Very nicely appointed, clean and tidy. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools and at night had an absolutely wonderful meal in their 5 star restaurant. Every member of the staff were friendly and did everything they could to make our visit a pleasant one. This is without a doubt one of the best hotels we have ever visited. We give it a 6 out of 5! I just know you will enjoy your stay here just as much as we did. Relax and enjoy.

« Best Hotel in the Burligton area for business travel »

Good location just outside the city of Burlington VT, includes shuttle service into town, great value, wonderful breakfast, clean comfortable rooms. Windjammer Resturaunt is just a few feet away for a great meal! Highly recommend!!!!

« Great hotel at a great price! »

I always stay at this hotel when I'm in Vermont. The location is great, rooms are spacious and comfortable. The fitness center has many machines as well as free weights. And of the course the restaurant is a great and convenient place to grab dinner.

    5
« Great place to stay in Burlington. »

Love this place. Wonderful staff, best restaurant in Burlington and probably all of Vermont. Incredible prime rib and steaks. The perfect place to stay for any event in Burlington and ideal if you are flying out of BTV. Great bed, great food and free shuttle to airport.

    5
    « Comfortable and convenient »

Easy access to highways and downtown or airport. Friendly, good breakfast. Clean room, slept great despite bad back. It's a bit confusing trying to find the lobby as the front of the hotel faces what I would consider the rear, the back of the building. Just need better signs.

    5
« Nice property and friendly service »

Everything very clean and well-maintained. Airport shuttle available 24 hrs. Staff competent, helpful, friendly. Group gathers around the warm choco-chip cookies in the lobby. Good location. Restaurant on property, but we did not have the chance to dine there. Will return!

    5
« Quiet Clean Pet Friendly Great Staff »

We stayed at the Best Western in VT while traveling to our Canada. Three nights total, two on the front end and one returning home. Staff was very helpful. We travel with our golden retriever and the facility has nice surroundings to take her for a brief walk. It is also located near restaurants within walking distance. Though not next to the downtown area, the city is easy to access. Overall, a great place and we will be back.

    « Jeff's review »

We've stayed here on & off for years. Great restaurant, food was cooked perfectly. Hotel is near the Burlington airport & offers a free shuttle. Near good shopping. Free fresh chocolate chip cookies at 8:00 PM. Has a lively bar.

    « Excellent experience »

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast offerings, many choices of hot and cold food. Clean well maintained rooms. Free use of computer and printer was very helpful. Plenty of parking in well lit parking lot.

    5
    « Great hotel »

No complaints on this hotel. It was clean, the staff was kind, and it was affordable. I was only 10 minutes from the venue at which I was performing. The next day I enjoyed the complementary breakfast. There was a nice selection.

    4
« Nice place to stay »

Very clean hotel, very friendly staff. Complimentary hot buffet breakfast. Coffee 24/7 in the lobby. Restaurant was very good, upstairs lounge was very good too. I'd definitely go back. The only disappointment was the creeky wood floors in the hallways.

    5
« If in Burlington, VT - do not miss this place! »

We were in town for a family gathering due to a death in the family.. Staying in a place as accommodating as this with such great service, nice surrounding and a great staff made a difficult trip so much easier!

    4
    « Trip to Burlington »

Great hotel, lovely, friendly and helpful staff on reception. The hotel was in a great location just outside of the main part of Burlington, close to the university and also great proximity to the airport which was only a 5 minute drive away. There is a Starbucks within walking distance as well. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. It was also equipped with a microwave and fridge which is always a bonus. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

    5
« Great food including Gluten Free »

Enjoyed lunch here with friends. The baked haddock and Mediteranean salmon were moist and nicely seasoned. The chicken salad wrap was generous and delicious. I had the classic reuben that had plenty of thinly sliced corned beef and swiss cheese, but it could have used a bit more Thousand Island dressing. The light rye bread was sliced just right. Would have liked a little more sauerkraut as well. The side was cole slaw that is very tasty and not runny or dry. The Gluten free flourless chocolate cake was decadent! Very chocolatey, rich and gave me a buzz like a pot of coffee. It came sitting in a raspberry coulis with a little whipped cream on top. We have all eaten here before and continue to return because of the great food and service staff.

    5
    « best in class »

Pleasantly surprised, had not been to a best western in years. defenitely putting back on my list.Realy enjoyed the restaurant priced reasonably and great selection. Halway carpets could use some updating but very clean overall.

    4
« Belly up to the Salad Bar »

My mom, 2 sisters and I went to the Windjammer Restaurant for dinner having heard the salad bar was the biggest in the East. Well, it is pretty darn big and the red meat that we ordered to go with the salad bar was exceptionally tasty; the salmon had to have a little more time under the broiler. Certainly would go back if I have a chance. Pricing was reasonable once we found the light fare - a smaller portion which fit our appetites just fine. Our lodging was just across the street at the Double Tree.

    5
« Our new home away from home. »

One of the best hotel stays we have ever had. Breakfast was great and attractive looking. Means a lot to us. Our suite was so nice. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in a hotel. Restaurant was great and attractive. Pub food was good. No complaints

    2
    « Ignored »

Step aside businessmen leaf peepers in town. Management seemed to have little concern for business customer's needs while hoards of eager foliage enthusiasts shuffled around the lobby. While charging more than the Sheraton down the street. Sad.

    « Overall good experience. »

Rooms very clean and comfortable with all you need for a good nights rest. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit cheap and cheerful with plastic cutlery and buffet limited and not very hot. Otherwise a good place to stay.

    « Stay away from 416 »

We stayed here during parents weekend. Since I wasn't aware it was parents weekend I felt lucky to get a room at the last minute. However the price was jacked- our room was $238 and it was comparable to a Microtel, size wise. Everything else was nice- clean, ok breakfast, comfy bed and pillows. But the odor! We actually couldn't stay long in the room- smelled like someone dumped perfume in the room. In reading other reviews I'm wondering if this was to mask issues with mold. The hotel desk clerk stated they had not received complaints which really surprised me.

Helpful staff, cookies every evening. Indoor pool a plus, but wish there were a hot tub. Outdoor pool looked inviting. Breakfast was very good. Restaurant food was fair, do not recommend the meatloaf. Salmon was excellent. Room was nice, but very small desk, and very soft bed if that is your preference. Would stay again.

A huge thank you to Jason at the front desk. Our mother was in the hospital down the street and Jason was super helpful and considerate. Thank you to the entire staff for a great hotel experience. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

« Best Western Best Value »

Best Western Winjammer is excellent hotel for the price. Centrally located in Burlington Vt it met my families needs. There is a pool and decent fitness center and it's within walking distance of Starbucks, Green Juice Place, Yoga and Barre class. Located only 6 minutes from the airport.

    « very pleasant stay »

Stayed here while I moved my daughter into UVM. The location is great and not a long car ride from the college. It is set back from the road and trees buffer highway noise so it is quiet. Our room was very clean, spacious and had a fridge and a microwave. Beds were comfortable. I always tip the maid each day and came back to find the tip not taken! Front Desk very pleasant with fresh cookies at night. The breakfast is standard with several protein options. Coffee was actually pretty good and out 24/7. Would definitely return.

« Awesome Hotel and Restaurant »

This hotel isn't located close to much except the freeway and it's set back on property that borders the woods. It's absolutely beautiful. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a junior suite which was very nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant on the property which specializes in seafood and has a salad bar as well as Vermont cheese you slice yourself. They offer warm cookies with milk in the evening but we were too full to try any. I would definitely stay there again.

    « Wonderful staff & immaculate rooms »

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was the first time we brought our dog and I was concerned about the cleanliness of a "pet friendly" room - no smell and it was immaculate! Staff also new the area very well and were able to give us great directions and local info.

    « Pluses and minuses »

Unfortunately the young woman who checked us in must have been having a bad day because she could barely crack a smile. That set the tone for our stay. I had a $10 off coupon which I presented to her and she said that she would deduct it from our room rate. When we checked out the next morning and reviewed the receipt, the $10 had not been deducted. The morning clerk corrected this. When we got to our room there was no information about local resources - restaurants, shopping, etc. - typical of what you would find in any other hotel. When I went back to the front desk the Manager on duty explained that they were a "green" hotel and I had to ask him for information. (?) Our room was small and the A/C unit was noisy, but the bed was comfortable and we did have a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The indoor and out door swimming pools were a bonus as was proximity to the Windjammer bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of foods and the attendant worked hard to keep the area tidy and the food replenished. The two maintenance men who we encountered were both very helpful and pleasant!

    « Burlington's Best »

Comfortable, modern, and close to the airport. Warm cookies in the lobby every evening was a nice touch. The restaurant and upstairs pub on the hotel grounds made it easy for two tired travelers to have a great meal without having to drive all over town! This was the best hotel in our 3-state New England trip. Wish I'd had more time in Burlington, I'd have loved to extend my stay here!

    « Couldn't sleep. »

I drove by the hotel because the sign did not stand out like the other hotels in the area. The car GPS told us we arrived at the destination but it was different hotel. You have to look out for the Windjammer restaurant sign rather than the BW sign. The restaurant sign is much bigger. The ac was noisy and kept us up most of the one night we stayed there. Also the floor above us creaked. The occupants in the room above us were walking around the room until early morning. Between the noisy AC and the creaking floors above us, we hardly slept! On the plus side, the breakfast had a wider selection compared to other hotels.

« Best Western Plus Windjammer in beautiful Vermont. »

We recently stayed for a long weekend at the Best Western and enjoyed the many amenities offered. The hotel is set back from the main road and is very quiet when sitting or swimming in the beautiful pool. It also has a restuarant, a little pricey, and pub offering delicious food. In general the hotel is very comfortable, the free breakfast offers a good selection and the staff is very polite and willing to help.

« Fine dining and a great place to stay! »

This is our fourth stay at this BW hotel in Burlington, VT. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. It's a great location for anything you would need! They have a great complimentary breakfast, which is such a plus. The Windjammer restaurant is fabulous! We have eaten there a half dozen times and always walk away stuffed with a smile on our faces! Thanks BW Burlington,VT!

    « Great selection »

A very clean and well kept hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The pools were great as was the breakfast. Our only complaint was the size of the room. I think it was one of the smallest room we ever had. It was a handicapped room and the bathroom was big with a great walk-in shower but the room itself was very small lacking room for suitcases and the smallest closet we had ever seen. Otherwise it was great.

    4
« Decent stay for just one night. »

I just needed a comfortable bed, and wanted to feel safe and secure in the hotel. This hotel provided that, but little else. It was extremely hard to find the driveway at night, and then to find the actual lobby. Many families with small kids running around, screaming in the morning. Could have been $75 less for the amount of comfort I enjoyed.

    « Good, not great »

When my company booked me at this hotel I was a bit suspicious, since airport BWs are not usually my cup of tea, but when I read the reviews, I was cautiously optimistic. The reality of the hotel wasn't as good as I had hoped. The good: staff was very nice and helpful. Clearly a high point. Cleanliness of the common areas was also above expectations. The bad: hotel was a bit tired. Decor was spartan. My biggest concern was that the room reeked of cleaning fluids. I was too tired to change rooms, and frankly I thought that may be the norm for the hotel.

« Great VT hotel and restaurant »

We only stayed one night but the room was spacious and clean, with amenities like fridge, microwave, wi-fi, windows that open. Also a nice swimming pool that was open early (7 am) so I could swim some laps. The Windjammer restaurant has a wide menu and a large salad bar, including cheese and good bread. The meals were prepared very well and very tasty. I had a wonderful ravioli stuffed with squash, sweet potatoes, nuts and mushrooms, in a great sauce. My husband had the petite filet. Excellent.

    4
« Clean, Convenient and Good Value »

We stayed at the Windjammer prior to an early morning visit to the medical center. The hotel was proximate to the interstate and the medical center and near to downtown Burlington for dinner. The room and bathroom were small but very clean and simple. I like the wood floors that seem less dirty than carpet. The bed was comfortable. There was a TV, microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator. 24 hour coffee and tea and a decent breakfast buffet available at 6:30 were very convenient. There was easy access from the parking lot. We didn't plan on a romantic stay prior to a medical procedure, so the Windjammer worked very well for our purposes. There was a medical center rate that made it a very good value. If we return to Burlington for another medical visit or for an early morning business meeting, I would stay here again.

Have been coming to this hotel since my daughter wanted to tour UVM. The staff is great, rooms are clean. Great breakfast and it close to university. My husband and I stayed here to move her into UVM. We will be back for Parents weekend in October.

« We stayed here for an entire week, August 2017 »

My son and I planned to stay at this hotel for the first night or two of a Vermont road trip. Because it was so centrally located for us, and especially because we were so well treated, especially by Jason at the front desk, we chose to stay for the entire week. So - the staff was great, the breakfasts are great, the facility is nice and the room was very clean. All very important. If I have to review the negatives, I would say that the beds are not exceptionally comfortable (firm!), (the pull-out couches are particularly awful - like sleeping directly on metal springs), and the sound does travel in this place. Our first night there were very rude patrons who were VERY LOUD until 2:30AM, which was ridiculous. In the hotel's defense, I did not call to complain, mostly because I assumed they would be stopping soon! So that's on me. The other noise complaint has to do with rude patrons who are inconsiderate of others and allow their heavy hotel room doors to SLAM late at night and in the wee hours of the morning when other patrons are trying to rest. But I think that is a risk at most hotels. Mine is a positive review overall, and I think Jason at the front desk is a real asset to this establishment. I don't believe we would have had as pleasant an experience without his help, and I know for SURE that we would not have stayed for an entire week had it not been for his kind treatment of us.

« Our favorite place to stay »

This is our choice of hotel when in Burlington VT. The restaurant and the breakfast bar are both excellent. Rooms are comfortable. The hotel is near local shopping and restaurants as well as several colleges. It is near the airport, although we usually drive. The staff is friendly and receptive and the cleaning staff is exceptional. What can I say? We have never returned home unhappy.

« Feels like you are in the woods, yet close to town »

We enjoyed our two nights at Best Western Plus Windjammer. Very close to the airport, yet just a 10 minute drive to downtown. Also within walking distance of a few restaurants and a Starbucks. Nice place to stroll the grounds which featured nice gardens and plantings. Nice outdoor pool with lots of seating and lounge chairs. Easy check in. Very quiet and restful. No complaints!

    « Very nice stay. »

We stayed one night while visiting UVM. Hotel was within a ten minute drive to the center of campus, which was great. A solid experience, though I thought it was somewhat pricey for the caliber of hotel. We had some challenges in finding the front of the hotel in the dark and I do wish external signage could be improved. Our room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Our room was on the first floor and we could hear some noise from the parking lot right outside our window early in the morning, and some noise from the hallway as well. Walls are clearly thin but the rest of the stay was fine. Breakfast was included, which was a nice touch (bagels, juice, eggs/bacon/sausage buffet, coffee etc) and free wifi was also appreciated. I'd certainly stay again if in the area though I do suspect there are better deals to be found for similar hotels in the area.

« The Place to stay when visiting Burlington, VT. »

This hotel is my favorite place to stay on my visits to Burlington, VT. I find it very convenient to Interstate Highway I-89 and about a mile from downtown; The hotel has an excellent restaurant with a nice variety of foods and excellent service, both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, has adequate parking and is situated on a very nice campus. We have visited Burlington on multiple occasions and would not consider going to a different hotel.

Definitely would stay here again.

« Convenient, clean and professional »

The Best Western Plus Windjammer is a facility which offers everything the traveller would expect from a large full service hotel. The breakfast is part of the price and offers a good start to the day. I loved that the TV was not on! The room was very clean and pretty basic- everything you need but not overly roomy. The Windjammer Restaurant is has a huge salad bar and is all-American fare. Be prepared to walk outside, though as it is not attached to the hotel. Keep your eyes open for the sign that leads into the complex because is is really small. (on the left when you get off Exit 14E on I-89. North.

« Not the best accommodations but good service »

Hotel is dated! Rooms are small, showers built up 10" and squishy. Room not thoroughly cleaned which always bothers me. The breakfast was complimentary and solid. Toilets is so close to shower - odd! Very loud A/C units. Lobby far from everything. Overall not a big fan but it does have a bar attached.

    « It was disgusting. »

We booked our stay directly through the front desk from our home. We are give Room 241 on the right side next to the stairwell. It smelled like mold. The carpets were dusty around the edges. The walls were so thin that we heard every single thing the guest was doing next door. The door that joins rooms was so thin that I heard a zipper sound...That guest left his cell alarm ring with a country ring song for 2 hours. The ceiling was making a massive screeching sound when the upper floor guests walked across the room. We also had dumpsters that sounded like they were in our room. All of this nonsense was happening from 4:12 am until 6:30. I went to the desk manager Charlie and asked to have this situation remedied. He said this ...What does the dumpster smell? I said no it is so loud and banging over and over again. We did not sleep. I asked again for a room change. Finally Jeffery the manager changed our room in the afternoon. Room 405. It was fine. We arrived July 20 and departed July 24.

Lots of noise in the morning. House keeping knocking on doors at 8:10 AM. Not much respect to folks wanting to sleep in. Rooms are small, but clean. OK value for a Best Western. Have stayed at better Best Westerns on other trips.

« College Visit in Vermont »

My daughter and I stayed here 2 nights while attending a nearby college's open house. We normally love staying at the Best Western hotels. This time, not so much. I found the prices to be extremely high for a Best Western. We didn't receive any of the perks for being a rewards card member as we do when staying at other Best Westerns, such as 2 complimentary bottles of water upon check in. The breakfast room was extremely crowded and lacked the waffles you can make at the other Best Westerns. We did receive a small discount for attending the college's open house however I feel we were overcharged for the size of the room we were given. The front desk staff weren't as friendly as the other hotels we've stayed in-they barely acknowledged us when we walked past the desk even though it wasn't busy while we were there. If my daughter chooses to attend college in Vermont, sadly this hotel will not benefit from my business for the next four years. All the hype if this Best Western Windjammer Inn was over exaggerated.

The motel is very close to UVT - our room was small but very clean and everything worked. Little noise - walls were sufficiently soundproof. « Would have been just fine »

Best Western Hotel Conference Center would have been perfectly fin for our overnight visit to Burlington VT if only the room wasn't so very humid. We could reduce the level of the humidity with either the air conditioner or the bathroom exhaust fan. We appreciate the pet friendly room since we were traveling with our dog. But probably due to the humidity, as soon as we walked in, we smelled wet dog.

    « Comfortable Stay »

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western. Room was small but clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. I enjoyed a dip in the pool which was refreshing. A hot tub would be a nice addition. We found breakfast to be very good with a good selection and some healthy options.

« Great Place to Host a Group or Meeting »

We used the Best Western Windjammer Inn & Conference Center to host our convention of 100 plus attendees for two years in a row... The only reason we moved was because we just got too large and out grew the facilities and conference center. ...Otherwise we'd be back! The staff is professional and superb as they went out of their way to accommodate all our unique needs and requests while we were in their care. Besides the entire staff... Some of the best attributes include the Upper Deck Pub (excellent food and a great atmosphere), the free shuttle to and from the airport, the pool, the conference center and catering, and yes they even accommodated our pets. Hats off to the management team and staff for making our experience and the experience of our attendees fantastic. We couldn't have grown to what we are today without your help. - The Vermont Burlesque Festival Production Team.

« Great value and location »

We booked this hotel at the last minute in late April to attend a concert in the area. We found our hotel room clean with very comfortable beds. We were pleasantly surprised by the large amount of options offered with the free breakfast. This hotel is very generous in comparison to other hotels I have stayed at! This hotel is located right on the Williston Road which makes it easy to get to a lot of stores, restaurants, and attractions. Additionally, there is a restaurant on the premise as well as an outdoor and indoor pool. We will definitely consider this hotel the next time we are in the area.

    3
    « An OK Stay »

Great free airport shuttle and nice desk staff at this hotel. The room is just average. The free breakfast is generous with lots of food and choices, but the noisy, disorganized atmosphere of the buffet and dining room make eating breakfast at the hotel very unpleasant. There is free coffee, water, and milk all day, fresh cookies every night, free off-street parking, ice machines, in-room TVs, microwaves, hairdryers, small fridges, a business center with a printer and PCs, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center, so there are some amenities that make the stay worthwhile.

    « Good Value »

The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. Hotel interior is dated and worn but very clean rooms and bathrooms. Extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was a plus that made for a better value overall. Buffet style presentation with coffee, juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels and cream cheese, hot oatmeal, cold cereals, eggs, hash browns, french toast sticks, bacon and sausage patties. Could use some improvement with real brewed coffee and french toast rather than frozen sticks. We did not use the pool facilities, but the outdoor pool complex in the center looked nice. Convenient location just outside of downtown Burlington. I would recommend this hotel for those who want value and convenience.

the beds are extremely comfortable, the staff very friendly, and it was a very clean room. I traveled abroad and left my jeep there for 12 days. « Basic, but good value for money »

We visited the Windjammer Best Western as a part of a road trip and spent one night there. The hotel was clean and the room large, although nothing fancy. This was fine for us, since we didn't expect anything fancy. The only minus is the location, as there really isn't anything at a walking distance from the hotel. So be prepared to use the car if you want to go the center of Burlington.

    « No. 1 hotel »

You cannot miss with this one. Staff is helpful, courteous, always greeting you with a smile. The Upper Deck Pub serves a great meal at reasonable prices. The hotel is close to everything, shopping centres, restaurants, gas stations, 7-11, etc. We come here at least twice a year and will continue to do so.

« Some issues but personel make up for it! »

The room was spacious and comfortable with two detractions. The shower needs the pressure bumped up, it was hard to get shampoo out of my hair. The big problem was the heating/air system. It was so noisy we couldn't use it. Husband couldn't hear television over it and we couldn't sleep if it was on. It growled and banged something fierce. The breakfast was good and filling, the 24 hour coffee great but the staff is where they shine. They were all friendly and helpful, but the early morning front desk was in a class of his own. We had to be at the airport at 4:15 am. Downstairs waiting for the shuttle and getting coffee at 3:30, this young man assembled most of the breakfast buffet for us. Obviously he couldn't do anything but we did get to start or very early day with juice, coffee, cereal, bagels, fruit and yogurt. We will be back.

    « Wonderful service! »

I stay at the Windjammer in Burlington at least 1-2 times monthly. The staff are always helpful and curtious and the rooms are always clean. I get a Jr suite every time I stay and the rooms provide ample space.

    « UVM orientation 2017 »

Clean room, helpful staff, comfortable beds, and a good value during our stay here in June of 2017. Also the location to UVM is right down the street. Downtown Burlington is just minutes away too. Booked our next trip here in two months and looks forward to another positive stay here then.

« Clean, friendly staff, great pub! »

Very nice, clean hotel with lovely staff. Easy access to/from the interstate, lots of amenities nearby, quick trip to downtown Burlington/lakeshore area. Warm cookies in the lobby at 8 PM go quickly! Good selection of breakfast items, though seating is limited. We really enjoyed the Upper Deck Pub - great drinks menu and the food was terrific.it gets crowded, but the space is nice and open. Our party of seven had a great time there.

« The best place to stay in South Burlington »

Great location with many food options around, close to downtown Burlington and highway exist. This Best Western offer the great service and lowest price among all hotels in South Burlington, my top choice to stay in Burlington area. The Upperdeck Pub at the hotel is a great place for a drink and a quick bite, highly recommended!

« One day get away »

We have stayed several times at this best Western and every time the service has been impeccable. We've had no problems and the staff are friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to stay in South Burlington this is where you should go

« Great location and great facility »

We went to Burlington to see a marathon and it was great. The room was clean and although we didn't get a chance to swim they have an indoor and outdoor pool. Also plenty of free onsite parking. UVM is very close and Downtown Burlington very easy to get to. The breakfast that was included with our room made it easy to get out and enjoy our day. And if needed I noticed there is laundry machines on site.

    « Wouldn't stay again »

The biggest issue I had staying here was how noisy it was. The doors slam shut, so good luck getting sleep past 6:30 in the morning when people start waking up. If you plan on falling asleep early you may also have an issue considering the floors from above you creak loudly every time someone moves. On top of that, we had someone staying next to us with a dog that would bark loudly early in the morning, and one of the hotel staff was yelling to another staff member right outside our door before 7:30 in the morning. It wasn't a good experience, and I left each morning feeling far too tired. Definitely won't return.

« Fantastic service, and people who care »

The Hotel is okay as far as looks , but as far as service and friendliness, fantastic! We ran the Vermont City Marathon and this was really a fantastic place to stay. Shuttle picked us up right out front of the hotel/ no stress.

  • 2
    « Could better »

Person at desk could have been friendlier. Doors would slam shut. Floor above creaked. Cost of room jumped $100 for the next night. Not worth $245 for 1 night by any means. Just a eye basic hotel taking advantage of people traveling in for the Burlington Marathon and being near a decent restaurant.

    3
    « Very dated »

Staff were very helpful and my room was always spotless. The hotel is just in desperate need of updating! Very old fashioned. The breakfast is very disappointing. Paper plates and plastic cutlery really doesn't make the rubbish food any better! Cookies in the evening is a nice touch though.

« Univ of Vermont Graduation. »

This is a wonderful hotel. Attentive and accommodating front desk. Free and fast wifi. Clean and comfortable rooms. Coffee available 24/7, fresh cookies at 8pm, and an extensive breakfast in the morning. Not within walking distance to campus ( about a mile away) but UBER is only about $6-7. The ever present airport shuttle is a real plus. This place just works well on all accounts.

    4
« AAU basketball tournament stay »

We appreciated that our team was given a group rate and was able to stay within the same block in the hotel. We enjoyed the hotel amenities and the proximity to our venue and local restaurants. We had a great time!

    « great stay »

nice hotel, clean rooms, great breakfast, nice fitness center and salt water pool. Also very close to restaurants and other Burlington amenities. Would recommend it. We have stayed here several times, and taken advantage of their free long-term parking and shuttle rides to and from the airport.

    5
    « stop here »

Great location , wonderful helpful staff , clean room ,good internet ,and good selection of tasty food for breakfast .Shuttle to airport was on time , did not keep you waiting for pick up either .Staff could not be more helpful with all requests .

    « Good Value/Location for UVM parents »

This hotel is a good value for the location near UVM if you have a student there. Not downtown which would obviously be nicer, but easy to just drive there vs. paying a lot more and then having parking issues. Nothing special as far a hotel, but it's a solid chain hotel. The basics, plus your typical buffet breakfast. Decent pools if it's hot out and a basic gym.

    5
    « Very impressive hotel »

Our check-in went smoothly and the staff were very nice; very warm and welcoming. Our room was very quiet (considering there was a large sports team in the hotel). I was able to bring up the breakfast for my husband (being handicapped this allowed him enjoy breakfast in a quiet environment). We only stayed for one night: travelling back to Canada. Would certainly return for a extended stay in the future.

    4
    « Road trip »

Nice BW, large with unusual layout. Two pools, one in one out. Our room was not huge, but comfortable, but the bathroom was small. Breakfast was good. The biggest plus was customer service! Guest dryer wasn't working properly and I had two loads of damp and wet wash. When the dryer couldn't be fixed they took our laundry and dried in the hotel laundry. We couldn't have asked for more. We were very grateful, since many places assume no responsibility for the washers and dryers. Good location. Restaurant attached to hotel was good. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

    1
« Poor Poor Customer Service »

Booked a queen bed and when I arrived I was told the queen room was dirty . Was never asked but put into a room with 2 extra small double beds. Room smelt like urine so couldn't run the heater. Not a nice stay before a surgery the next morning.

« Nice place to stay. »

Hotel staff was nice, the place was clean and quiet. Central to Champlain college making for a nice visit to Burlington. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pools and they both were quite nice. Hot breakfast was nice and kurieg coffee maker, microwave and mini refrigerator in the room. Nice stay!

    « May 2016 »

Hotel layout it a little confusing, the key entry on the outside of my wing was not working so I found myself walking around trying to find an entry and then find my way back to my room. Otherwise, I found the hotel very nice, the only thing I would change would be to have an information book in the hotel room...I was looking to find a place to eat that was recommended by the hotel but had not information book.

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

Great stay here. Check-in was quick and painless. We had a suite which was huge, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Hotel facilities are excellent. Free Wi-Fi. Decent free hot and cold breakfast. Happy to return.

    5
    « Family suite »

A lovely, clean and comfortable place for a family traveling with children to stay. We had two adjoining rooms, two bathrooms. The suite had a microwave oven and an electric coffee pot. The hotel is near the airport but a little difficult to find because it's set back from the main road. The lamps have convenient outlets for charging cell phones too. The restaurants on the premises came in very handy because of inclement weather, and the food was tasty.

« Our favorite hotel in the area and can feed vegans for breakfast! »

So, yes, we are Best Western Rewards members and the reason is because BW has never let us down. We live an hour from this location but love to getaway to Burlington as a family to relax and shop. Recently my husband and I did a getaway for our anniversary and we were delighted to see items added to the breakfast bar that we could eat - being vegan! A nice selection and even non-dairy milk. Very awesome experience as always. Rooms tidy, well presented, smell clean and natural, not perfumed. Great location!

    4
    « Clean, comfortable room »

Stayed in Vermont while a family member was having surgery at UVM. Very convenient location to UVM. Rooms are on the smaller size but suited our needs. We used the shuttle several times but also drove because it is so direct. The included breakfast was a nice bonus before heading out to the hospital each day. Staff was always courteous. Would stay again if in VT over night.

    5
    « Great stay! »

Wonderful staff helped me get a bigger room when I unexpectedly had two of my daughters (ages 14&20) unable to travel home 4+ hours that night, for safety reasons. Lovely attitudes all around from all staff, really sweet folks. Room was spotless and beds comfy. Breakfast was good(though I wish they had a waffle iron). I would stay there again any time.

    4
« Good place for groups »

We booked this hotel for a women's hockey tournament locally. It suited our needs well. We were given a good group rate, which was enhanced further by the included breakfast. The hotel is pet friendly, which was appreciated. You see lots of dogs here.

    « Vacation »

We were looking for a short vacation and had not been to Burlington Vt in years I looked at several hotels in the area that had a restaurant and lounge in the same location. The BW fit our needs rooms were very clean and bed very comfortable one room was small but adequate. The restaurant was very good and service and food was excellent. The hotel is right off the highway and is about % mins from down town Burlington and the lake. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again when visiting the area. If you are looking at colleges in the area UVM and lake champlain college are on the main road minutes from the hotel.

    « Great Value »

This hotel offered my family a fantastic value package and they accepted our dog with open arms. My children thoroughly enjoyed the FREE WARM cookies at 8 pm (served WITH milk!!!) and we all took advantage of the included FULL breakfast in the morning. Our room felt small, but it was also clean. This is a great value for the price. My favorite part was how friendly the staff was. Thank you Burlington!!!!!

« Spring Break Family Trip »

Spent 3 nights at the Best Western Plus Windjammer last week for a spring break getaway with our 2 kids, 5 years old and 2 years old. This was our first time staying at the Windjammer. Before the kids we used to come up a couple times a year and stay at the Sheraton. Overall I think that the Windjammer is a better value for the money you are spending. The beds were comfortable, and the room was very clean. The bathroom was nicely appointed. We were in a 2 double bed standard room, which would have been fine if it were just my wife and I, but with the young kids playing on the floor, we could have used a bit more open space. I think if we had to do it over again we would have booked a king bed room or suite and used our travel cot and pack and play. Not a knock on the hotel at all, just my miscalculation. My kids LOVED the indoor pool. That is basically all they wanted to do. My daughter also could not wait for the milk and cookies each night. The free breakfast is very good and definitely worth checking out. Location is great to get to wherever you want to go in the area. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and pleasant. I also love the fact that you do not have to pay extra for the internet and that there is a fridge and microwave in the room. I would definitely stay at the Windjammer again and book a larger room. Overall it was a very nice trip and we did not want to leave Burlington, since it is one of our favorite places to visit.

    « Just a really nice place »

Stayed 4/14-15 at the Windjammer Inn. We reserved a family room 2 doubles 1 Queen pull out and 1 king bed. The only negative thing I have to say is the mattress on the pull out sucked and my 25yr old is complaining of a sore back. We ck'd in around 8pm Friday night to the smell of fresh baked cookies.... ck in was quick and the clerk was very nice. Our rm 222 was spacious and clean. One comment on here said to hope for a top floor rm b/c of the noise. I thought we were on the top floor until the am when I heard people walking above us. Daughter and her friend were sitting outside our room in a lrg area talking not loud ... we couldnt hear them... but another guest came out and asked them to quit it down... so sound is a factor. The indoor pool was nice and clean. We had apps at the pub b/4 heading over to Higher Ground for a show. Chris and Mike know how to make a drink!!! The food was very good!!! Breakfast was the usual...eggs bacon french toast .... they were very busy on Sat am and they were trying their best to keep up w/ the demand. Sunday was a little better. But Sat night and Sun am the restaurant attached was jammed pack... We did not eat there. Sm kitchen area in our room w/o a sink... strange! And once again I have to say ... when designing hotel rooms a women should be involved.... lack of minors and outlets to style hair and good lighting for make-up application. Very nice place...

« Anniversary rest and relaxation »

My husband and I just wanted a kidless, relaxed night, with a pool and a good dinner... Done and done. The pool was so wonderfully warm, the room was quiet and the meal was amazing. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating

« Excellent value and service »

The Best Western Windjammer is my favorite hotel to stay at, period. It's not fancy or five star, but the staff is always helpful and friendly. The breakfast, also not fancy, is excellent. I rarely eat breakfast but I always enjoy it at the Windjammer. And the restaurant and bar are exceptional. In a town with a lot of good places to eat and drink, we gravitate to the Upper Deck Pub frequently. The food, beer selection and staff are top notch.

« The place to stay! »

I stayed the last 2 nights at The Windjammer Inn while visiting my daughter at UVM. I was drawn to the hotel due to its proximity to campus and I already knew the adjoining restaurant was delicious since we have dined there in the past. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, the hotel is very clean and the room was very comfortable. We rented a king suite and there was plenty of room for 4 guests, having 2 bathrooms was handy. I cannot stress how great this experience was. The morning breakfast had many food options, even gluten-free choices. Thank you, Best Western!

« Great value and wonderful service »

We came to South Burlington for a concert at Higher Ground so the location could not have been better for us. We parked and didn't drive anywhere else - we walked to the restaurant and to the venue. Check in was very quick and they do offer gifts for rewards members. The rates are very reasonable and it is worth signing up for the Best Western rewards. The clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room is a bit small but very clean and updated; it smelled fresh and the carpets seemed new. We didn't make it for the 8pm milk and cookies in the lobby due to our concert but they still had cookies when we got back and they were awesome. The hotel was pretty quiet (it was a Wednesday) and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was terrific. They had several hot options as well as bagels, bread, yogurt and oatmeal. There is a coffee machine available 24/7 in the lobby as well as a Keurig in the rooms. The hotel is also very close to Burlington so we were able to explore the next day.

    « GREAT VALUE »

location (at the junction of rte 3 and I89) is great: near city centre, University of Vermont and Champlain Mall attentive and courteous staff...superb rooms are clean and comfortable We have visited on many occasions and will continue in the future Stan

    « Nice! »

Perfect for a night sleep and good meal. I enjoyed the convenience of the restaurant and bar. The room was clean and the bed was great. I had no problems falling asleep after a long day of travel. The shuttle to and from the airport was extremely convenient with no waiting time. The staff was enjoyable.

« Great place for our AAU families to stay »

We have stayed here for the past 3 years and always have a positive experience. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, the hotel is clean and well kept and the restaurant/lounge is great! Looking forward to staying there again next year!

    « Enjoyable Thanksgiving Break »

Luckily the staff upgraded us to King room and it just added to our relaxing, enjoyable stay. Hotel is clean, efficient and friendly. The breakfast was very good. We thought it was continental but it was a hot buffet. Dinner at the Windjammer was excellent. Don't miss the Prime Rib.

    5
« Great value for price for a Burlington, VT area stay »

We have stayed at this hotel several times, at different times of the year. Great value for the price. Nice staff. Love both the indoor and outdoor pools. The free breakfast is fine, though the seating area for it can be crowded at times. The restaurant and bar are very good, but at times both can be busy (graduation weekends!). But then there are plenty of alternatives for food and drink nearby. Nothing super special about the neighborhood of the hotel, but it feels safe, has lots of helpful stores nearby, and one can quickly get to the great attractions/businesses/the highway from the hotel. Plenty of free parking.

    5
« Great location, awesome restaurant »

We love staying here as its very close for hockey purposes and the food in the lounge is awesome. Lots of TV's help make it even more enjoyable way to pass an evening. Always happy when the tournament is in Burlington!

    « Nice Stay/Nice Staff »

This was our third stay at the BWP Windjammer. Our room was very clean and appeared to be recently painted (the downside was that when we walked in, the smell of air freshener was overpowering - had to open the windows to let in some fresh air). The beds were very comfortable, the Internet worked well, and the shower was quite relaxing. Milk and cookies at bed time was a nice touch, and the breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast were all hot and tasty. The front desk staff and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. A very nice place to stay!

« Special weekend, dinner and shopping »

Stayed Saturday-Monday. Anniversary weekend. Simple but nice room. Clean, quiet. Window opened a bit to keep fresh air. Same complex had Windjammer, nice but we liked Upper Deck Pub, upstairs. Great grub, reasonable price. Friendly. Very popular so time your visit. Waiting in the room is comfortable. King bed real nice. TV modern. Price here is competitive for the area. Mall, concert spot, restaurants many. Room is very nice but simple, maybe even a bit cozy type. But still has a nice feel.

« Great place to stay »

I stayed at the BW for 3 day on business and was very happy with everything. I loved the restaurant, Windjammer located in the same building as the BW , for their excellent service, extensive salad bar & tasty entrees (Brownie Sundae!!!). Don't miss a visit their bar "Upper Deck Pub"nice selection of beers, top self booze and knowledgeable bartenders.

    « Great Experience »

This is the second time that we have stayed at BW Windjammer and both were great stays. Good location in Burlington for us! won't be our last stay there.

« Nice place to stay »

Overall experience was much better than I expected. The property is clean and welcoming. A nice option in Burlington! The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Internet worked great as well. Easy to get to.

« Excellent value at an excellent price »

While I would have preferred to stay IN the city to avoid the commute in/out in traffic, this hotel offered excellent value. It's not as pricey as the Burlington hotels, there's free parking. It has its own restaurant/pub. There's a free breakfast buffet. There's also an indoor and outdoor pool. My only complaint is that I requested a room near the other couple and this wasn't honored. I booked on-line and was told that that information isn't relayed well. They suggested in the future I call to make this request.

    4
« warm chocolate chip cookies »

If the cookies aren't enough, the pool's pretty great, the rooms come with microwaves and fridges and the beds are fairly comfy. Also, the staff was welcoming and helpful. A little funny to find from the road, but super convenient to the airport. It's fairly large, so it can get crowded and a little noisey. Continental breakfast is fairly decent.

« Wonderful stay at Best Western Plus Windjammer Inn! »

We were on a road trip from Maine to upstate NY to visit my son at university. We decided to stop in Burlington for the night to break up the trip. We reserved a family suite so we could have two bedrooms due to our family group's needs. The suite was very comfortable and the mattresses were AMAZING! The breakfast in the morning was ample and well-stocked. We enjoyed the night so much that we reserved the room again for our return trip, even though we didn't originally plan to stay in Burlington on the return home. The cost of the suite was very reasonable, especially considering that it was possible that a large group could stay there (king, 2 queens and sleeper sofa). The hotel is only 5 minutes from downtown Burlington and the UVM campus so it is very convenient in that regard. I highly recommend staying here!

    5
« Over night stay while at UVM »

I am a UVM parent and Travel Agent. When i arrived to get a room last minute I was greeted with a smile and the gentleman who checked me in (Saturday evening 10/22/16 after 10:00pm - sorry can't remember your name) was very courteous. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Burlington VT. Free daily breakfast had the standard options and the quality was good.

    4
« One night stay over »

The hotel is quite a distance from the waterfront. The hotel itself was nice and had a good on site restaurant and bar, offering a range of food and drink. The room was a good size and clean. The bathroom wasn't huge, but was clean and had plenty of towels.

    3
« Ok in a pinch. Good access to I89 »

We stayed here for the weekend while visiting family. The room was ok. A king bed but nothing special. The shower head was the worst. We took out the low flow valve in the shower so I could get the shampoo out of my hair. Breakfast was complimentary - and was awful. Cold eggs, bacon and sausage. The bananas, oranges, and apples were good, as were the bran muffins. There were Keurig machines in the rooms, but a box coffee maker at breakfast. Not horrible, but we won't stay again. For over $200 a night, it wasn't worth it.

    5
« Beautiful Hotel, Great Service »

We stayed overnight during our trip back home to New Jersey from Quebec City. We couldn't have been happier with our selection of this Best Western. All the employees from the front desk to the restaurant were professional, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. They honored my requests upon booking for an upper floor, quiet room without even reminding them. Overall excellent choice.

    4
    « Pleasant stay »

Room was good, though a tad small if you have a bit of luggage. Bed was good, shower was hot with good water pressure. Room was very clean (having wood/fake wood floors must help a lot in keeping it clean, and were a pleasant surprise from grungy old carpet). A/c a little loud -- even on 'low fan', it was very noisy and I had to turn it off to sleep.

    5
    « Very nice »

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The room was very good and the bed very comfortable. Staffs were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also good with some choices... We also had a meal at the adjoining restaurent which was good too. We would not hesitate to go there again. A good 5 stars

    « Pleasant stay »

The hotel is located on the south side of Burlington, equidistant from the airport (hotel shuttle available), the University and downtown. It is located behind a restaurant, with the main lobby and entrance in the rear, facing away from the street, so it is quite difficult to see the hotel from the street. One has to drive through the restaurant and hotel parking lot, then around the hotel to the back side to find the main entrance, quite an unusual layout! The 2 story hotel is well maintained, and staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Since the hotel was well set back from the highway, there was no noticable traffic noise. My room was a bit smaller than expected, but not cramped. Window opens; climate control has digital controls, was quiet, and draws air from outside. Room furnishings include refrigerator, microwave, enclosed closet, and multiple accessible electric outlets. Breakfast, included in the room rate, had a large selection, which was kept well stocked. Price was a bit higher than I would expect for this type of property, but may reflect the season (fall), and high demand due to the University nearby.

    5
« Excellent Place to Stay Just Outside Burlington »

This hotel is located near a busy exit off I-89, just southeast of downtown Burlington. Despite the busy intersection, the hotel is set back enough from the road there is little or no traffic noise at any time of night. Rooms were spacious (we had two queens), clean, well-appointed & very comfortable. Nice restaurant on the hotels grounds (2-minute walk outside to get there. Fine dining restaurant on the main floor, with a pub & grill on the floor above. Menus surprisingly similar, though we found the pub (on a Monday Night Football Night) to be quite lively (read: noisy). Five minute drive to downtown Burlington, less than that to Univ. of VT.

    4
    « Great Stay »

Family room ? 1 room had 2 double beds and 1 pull out queen sofa, microwave & coffee facilities, a table with 4 chairs. The other room had 1 king bed and chest of drawers. Each room had a bathroom and TV. Small shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in each room. It was cheaper than getting 2 rooms. We were 5 adults and very comfortable. Breakfast was quite good with well made scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, cereals, fruit juice, fruit, yogurt, muffins and very fresh glazed donuts. Even though it was near the airport it was very quiet. A bit off the street in a back lot so wasn't sure we were going in the right direction. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

    4
    « Comfortable but a tad noisy »

Conveniently located, close to city centre and airport. Decent number of good restaurants in the area including their own (which is quite ok). Free wifi. Only downside is the wooden floors so you can hear the people walking around in the room above.

    5
« Another great stay at a great hotel »

This was my second stay here and it was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and clean. And Casey is an absolutely wonderful manager. She gave me an amazing offer to make up for a rude employee. Who else would actually make up for a mistake? Nobody. She is the best. A+ in my book. I will definitely return with a big smile.

« Will stay here again; excellent property »

Very nice two-day stay here in October; convenient to Burlington and to areas north and south. Modern, clean, quiet rooms. Pleasant staff. Good continental breakfast with adequate variety of foods. Only complaint with the room is the absence of a comfortable chair for reading. We will stay here again when in the Burlington area. No complaints at all.

    4
« Convenient with attached restaurant »

The location was a little difficult to find but once we did it was clean and so convenient to have the restaurant within a easy walk. Staff were helpful and friendly and check in was easy. WiFi was easily accessed.

    « Clean and Courteous! »

Stayed in a newly renovated room which was exceptionally clean, bright, and modern. Staff extremely helpful...Jason at the front desk went out of his way to print bus schedules without being asked. Hotel is about 1.5 miles from Burlington center. We did the walk which wasn't too bad as you pass by the beautiful University of Vermont campus. Good amount of restaurant options near by (walking distance). Free airport shuttle, free breakfast, and 24 hr coffee/tea are also nice plusses!!

Excellent place for business or vacation. The restaurants offer very good food and 150 different kinds of wine! With my wife we have stayed at this hotel over the last ten years twice or three times a year, typically for a total of 15 to 22 days a year. There is a very large shopping mall near the hotel plus other shops.

    « A great place to stay »

Any place where the staff goes out of their way to make your stay more enjoyable is a great place to stay. The BW in Burlington is the only place we consider when we are in the area. It's location, amenities and staff make this hotel our favorite place.

attractive hotel - signage for entry could be better - difficult to locate - well laid out interior and grounds - smallish rooms but everything was in them except t.v. channel guide. Breakfast quite good.

« Just returned from a three night stay, highly recommend with no complaints. »

Very reliable hotel that measures up well price-wise with chains that don't have an indoor/outdoor pool and fitness facility. I had thought I booked our trip a month ago and was in full on panic when just hours before making the 4 hour car ride realized I never clicked the final confirmation with our charge card payment. I called the front desk and they were incredibly nice and reassuring that they would hold a room for us. Traffic can be a bit busy on the main drag, but it moves decently as long as you stay away from the Mall road(Dorsett Avenue) It's a close proximity to Waterfront Park and Churchstreet Marketplace(two miles or so) and is a very short walk to seem very good dining options. Their onsite restaurant was very good and highly rated, but what we loved most was The Upper Deck Pub above the restaurant. It was such a great place to go for a quick bite or a longer stay to enjoy an appy and a few drinks. I have never been to a hotel pub that had soooooo many great beers on tap. Usually you walk into a hotel pub and it's Bud, Miller, Michelob and a few other really bad options, what they had here was amazing. I highly recommend.

    « Enjoyable Stay - No complaints »

Spent a couple non-consecutive nights here with rooms across the hall from each other. Both stays were enjoyable, rooms were clean, quiet and on the 2nd floor. Staff was great. On the downside there was no waffle maker but they did have plenty of good bacon with the included breakfast. I would stay there again. Just as an FYI stayed at the end of Sept and the prices were super high due to fall foliage visitors so value wise it wasn't good but all the hotels in the area had comparable rates.

    « Great Stay »

We spent 2 nights at the Best Western in Burlington, VT. Hotel was nice and located in an area close to restaurants and fast food. It was only a couple miles to the waterfront and Flynn Theater which is a great concert venue. Rooms were very clean as was the rest of the hotel. Pool was fantastic - nice and warm. Beds were comfortable. Staff were pleasant.

    5
    « Great Location »

Very Clean, comfortable and great location., just 5 minutes from the airport and downtown Burlington. Great free shuttle services to the airport. We enjoy the restaurant salad bar. We definitive recommend this Hotel

« Best Western Plus? More like Retirement Home Plus »

Really disappointed considering this property had somewhat good reviews. The building looks more like a retirement home with the decor, the smell, and lack of a single wall art. Rooms are extremely small. Buffet breakfast was lacking any substance and the service wasn't up to Best Western standards. Really a waste of money. The Best Western Plus for example in comparison in Waterbury looks like a 4 star resort compared to this property. Stay here only, ONLY if you have no other options in Burlington.

    3
    « Good Enough »

This is an average, older hotel in a convenient location. Our room was quite small and outdated, but we didn't really expect more based on what we paid. The walls are very thin and doors slam shut, so it can be noisy. The breakfast area always seemed crowded, but the food was fine and they kept up with the rush of people well. Just fine for an affordable and convenient place to stay in Burlington.,

    4
« A little expensive for this type of property »

Very good service, good breakfast and easy wi-fi connection. Thought it was a little pricey for the type of property it is ($165/night). Convenient on/off of interstate. Quite crowded in the restaurant around 9:00 and only staff member to keep things clean and restocked, so that was a little chaotic.

    « Excellent hotel »

This Best Western was the best I have stayed at. The upper deck pub had a great selection and great prices. The pub was full and the atmosphere was refreshing . The best place to stay in Burlington, Vermont.

    « Very Enjoyable Stay »

This hotel was centrally located to Burlington, close to Waterbury and a gateway to the Champlain Islands. The hotel was lovely and accommodating. We ate at the Windjammer Restaurant three times and each was a pleasure. Wide range of menu items and a great salad bar. The upstairs pub was also very enjoyable. Very good breakfast buffet.

« Always convenient and comfy! »

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel over a period of several years. The comfy beds, great breakfasts, microwave and fridge in the rooms make it an easy stay. Most flights leave super early in the AM, and it's a great way to start a vaca by booking a room here, where they will keep our car and shuttle us to and from the airport. Then we always have a delightful dinner at the Windjammer Pub and toast another trip!

    3
    « Quirky »

The hotel itself is in a nice and quiet location. My husband and I thought it was strange that 1/2 the hotel was floors 1 & 3 and the other 1/2 was 2 & 4 but not attached...except through the foyer. The room was clean, but the building itself was very old. The doors to the hallway from the room had huge gaps where light came through all 4 sides of the door. Sounds from the hallway were not muted at all. The air conditioner didn't work and though set to 65 it would cycle a few times an hour and not make any changes. The staff were all wonderful though. We were just shocked at the building itself.

    « Great Choice »

We stayed at the Best Western while visiting the area to take in the sights and see some foliage. It was convenient to both sided of Burlington parking was easy, breakfast was good. will definitely stay there again.

« Very convinient to everything »

Location is set back far enough away from highway and major road to allow for peace and quiet, yet convenient to shopping, highways and fairground. Enjoyed my stay, plenty of on-site parking room to for our car hauler while at the car show. Excellent breakfast and top of the line restaurant on site. Clean, quiet room. Friends of ours stayed across the street and were envious of us since coffee was available 24/7 and a great breakfast bar, not just fruit and Danish.

« Clean, reasonable rate and good location »

Visiting for family weekend at UVM and chose this hotel because of a good rate. Room was clean, bed comfortable and it is located close to campus and to getting around the area easily. Rooms are small, bathroom tiny, but fine for a couple nights stay. Breakfast is fine. Ate there one day and went out the next. There is a Starbucks within walking distance. Major stores nearby, right off the highway. Would definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Wedding weekend »

This is the hotel my daughter chose for the block of rooms . Great price, always love the Upper Deck restaurant, great staff. we had several guests staying here and they enjoyed their experience also. THANK YOU FOR ADDING TO THE JOY OF THIS WEEKEND.

« Good to Come Back »

We stayed here twice (three nights each time) during the last fortnight however, we have stayed here on four occasions in the past, on holidays from Scotland. The staff have always been extremely friendly and helpful; the rooms spotless; and the complimentary breakfasts excellent. The hotel is a great jumping off point for all of the beautiful state of Vermont (and much of eastern New York state including the Adirondacks), and m of course, the busy and buzzing city of Burlington. Not to be missed.

« Great Personal Service Beyond Expectation »

I can't say enough about this wonderful place! Jason and the Front Desk personnel went the extra mile when my husband was having surgery at the UVM Medical Center nearby. Not only did they give me a quiet room at a special patient family discount, but their minivan bus service took me to and from the hospital at all hours, once picking me up at 12:30 a.m., to bring me "home" to a very comfortable bed every one of my four evenings. The full and delicious continental breakfast gave me a great start every day, and I was amazed by the caring concern of the van drivers, front desk and housekeeping staff over the time of my stay. I noticed that business guests and sports teams staying there also received the same courtesy. Now my husband is well on the road to recovery, and the next time we fly out of Burlington on a vacation, we'll be sure to stay there the night before our early morning flight.

« Great spot for a fall weekend. »

We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Inn and Conference Center in Burlington ,Vermont with the National Street Rod Association, for a three night stay, and I cannot say enough about the staff and accomodations at the hotel. Upon our arrival we were greeted with professionalism, courtesy and a warm smile as we were assigned our rooms. We found our rooms to be neat, very clean and we were placed in the area we requested. Best western also offers an indoor and outdoor pool, an excellent restaurant, on the grounds, continental breakfast, and safe parking at the rear of the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    4
« Good location near the airport »

Used this as our airport lodging which is minutes away. Nice pub with good food and family friendly. Rooms were just fine for a really good price. Close to lots of other restaurants and shopping. Parking is free and easy to access. It's close to freeways for outside travel.

This hotel is clean, well run and and a pleasant place to stay. Breakfast was good and the facilities are well cared for. Great hotel for the value. Font desk staff always pleasant and helpful. Hotel with plenty parking. Restaurant onsite. Close to major roads, shops, and restaurants in town. Nice breakfast with enough choices. Internet a little slow and tough to connect at first. Hint go to "google" first. Learned hard way.

« Very nice from the outside- less impressive from the inside »

Free sly staff , arrived at 1230 and was advised that check in is at 1500. Then gave me a smile and found me a room . Room was ok, not too modern, but for a one night stay it was ok. Ample parking and close to main road. Free coffe and tea that is available 24-7 in the lobby. Corridors that have green carpets now have a brownish color All in an ok stay for one night,

    « Worst night sleep! »

Decided to travel to Burlington for a couple of days to enjoy the festivities on Front street and to climb Mt. Mansfield. The Best Western was a great location for all of our activities. The check-in went smoothly, ample parking and the room was lovely. Unfortunately, the paper thin walls in our section didn't make it easy to sleep. We were close to the outside doors and smokers came out at every hour of the night for a smoke and talked. The walls were so thin that I could hear their entire conversations. The first time I woke up I thought they were in our room! If not for this aspect, the Best Western was a nice hotel. Good choice of breakfast items and lovely surroundings.

Its was nice place to sleep in (only 2 miles from Church street). Rooms were clean, but a little bit small. The Breakfast was ok no more than that (bread, egg, fruits). The swimming pools, and gym are small.

« Exactly what we needed »

Although we only had a one night stay here (having to visit the St.Albans branch of Homeland Security 20 minutes away), the location was perfect, ample parking, more than adequate breakfast (often replenished pile of crispy bacon, & endless selfserve coffee-who could ask for more?), airconditioning that i wish i had at home, & such friendly and helful front desk staff. Altho we did not use it, the hotel is conveniently located on the free shuttle bus line to go to the beautiful downtown Church street and waterfront area, & there are also plenty of choices nearby for a bite to eat. Burlington is beautiful & i hope to go back someday when i will have more than a day to explore it. Would definately stay at best western again-good value & comfortable.

    « Wonderful Hotel experience »

We did follow the reviews of this hotel on TripAdvisor. This hotel had all the amenities we required on a night's stay in Burlington Vermont. Very courteous front desk personnel who went out of their way to accommodate all our needs. Rooms were extremely clean and tidy. Great value for what we paid. Too bad we were unable to stay longer. We will definitely consider this hotel again the next time we end up visiting again.

« Great Place to Stay in Burlington! »

I retune to this hotel whenever I am in Burlington. The hotel is always clean, with a fantastic restaurant and separate bar upstairs. The staff is top notch and everyone you encounter will be helpful and courteous. The hotel is very conveniently located to the University of Vermont as well as downtown Burlington. I highly recommend this hotel and conference center when you are in the area!

« This hotel staff is excellent »

We bring our sports teams to Burlington several times a year, wouldn't stay anywhere else. Jeff Bushey the Group Sales Mgr is outstanding in setting up our stays. The Windjammer Restaurant and Upper Deck pub are excellent spots for lunch, dinner and after hours fun. Good food and drinks in the pub, and a chance to connect with all our sports team families, in a casual, laid back setting. Close to everything in Burlington, easy access.

This hotel has a great location in Burlington, VT. Situated very close to University Mall, Traders Joe and other stores. 5 minutes drive from the universities and the center of town. If we are in the area we will definitely stay there again.

    « A very fine stay »

We were here to move our daughter into UVM as a freshman. The front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a typical hotel style buffet...nothing special but included in the price. There are much nicer meals to be enjoyed in the town of Burlington. Parking was easy and the outdoor pool was refreshing. This was a very quiet and comfortable stay and would return.

    5
    « Enjoyed our stay »

We stayed here from August 23-26. Front desk attendants friendly, checking easy. Room, while a bit small, contained all of the essentials including refrigerator and microwave and was very clean. Near Centennial Field where my husband attended Vermont Lake Monsters games, UVM and other area attractions. Nice outdoor pool (inside pool also) with a newly added pool bar, which was great for catching an early evening cocktail and snack. Good breakfast with hot and cold items. The ladies work hard at keeping it clean and well stacked (there were several sports teams there!). Would stay here again if in the area.

« Wonderful check in staff »

The receptionist who welcomed us in was wonderful - so friendly and informative. The room was comfortable with coffe maker, fridge and microwave. There are 2 pools and a small gym. Breakfast is included. Complimentary tea and coffe are available all day, in the lobby. There are plenty of places to park. There are food outlets nearby.

« Average accomodations but very nice staff. »

The building is a little tired. Carpets are worn in places. Only one elevator and the building is sprawling so getting to your room can be a hike. There are several convenient entrances but you would need to take the stairs. Breakfast was average buffet affair but no waffle maker. Our room got stuffing in the middle of the night despite a constant cool temp setting on the a/c. Price was average for the area.

    « The Best Staff »

This is a nice Best Western hotel; rooms are adequate and clean. Close to the airport and I-89. For me what sets it above expectations are the staff. Calling for reservations was pleasant and quick. Got lost inbound, (yeah, I did), and got immediate help from the front desk. The front staff was friendly, efficient and helpful, with good advice on dinner possibilities. Had a very early flight and the shuttle service got me there in plenty of time. Sounds like the way it should be, right? As opposed to some lodgings, this staff actually do it. And with a (genuine) smile :-) Free full breakfast, BTW. I'll be back . . .

    2
« Worst lodging experience of my life »

The front desk personnel were utterly rude and condescending regarding pet policy. The hotel lists itself as 0.4 miles from city center but it's actually 2 miles away. Here's the bad: 1. Dog friendly rooms are FILTHY!!! The floors are sticky, nasty dog odor, filthy bathrooms, hair in the tub... 2. The pet friendly section is near the exit door where people smoke. It's nasty considering the low class clientele of this place. We couldn't sleep all night with people slamming the door constantly. 3. The breakfast is awful. The eggs are made of egg beaters, awful choices. Only the oatmeal is edible. The good: The outdoor pool is nice.

The Best Western Windjammer in South Burlington, Vemont, is a well kept secret. Pet friendly, and kid friendly, it also provides something for everyone. Close to UVM and the mountains, it offers 2 pools, a fitness center, and a hot breakfast. You get your money's worth!!!!

« Excellent Staff and Room »

Great experience, very personalized feel. Always greeted warmly when calling or going to front desk. Breakfast was not only good but area was very clean and all of the items on offer were fresh, hot, and refilled often.

« Outdoor pool was nice »

Room was just OK, breakfast was good. Accessible rooms just not attractive or well thought out - located at farthest point in the entire hotel from the lobby. When I mentioned distance from main lobby/breakfast area I was told sliding doors were the reason --- but main lobby has sliding doors and many rooms close by......

    5
« Great place to stay! »

We love coming to the Windjammer every summer! Great location, close to restaurants, Lake Champlain, many activities and more. The kids enjoy the outdoor pool (although there is an indoor one as well) and the breakfast. We have had delicious eggs, pancakes, waffles and many other tasty items which help get our day started off on the right foot!

    4
« Good hotel for business or leisure »

We had a clean, comfortable room. We got a good night's sleep and a breakfast with ample selection of hot (homemade scrambled eggs) and ambient foods. The laundry was convenient for a mid-vacation washing. The hotel sells detergent and makes change for the machines. The hotel is easy to access from both the freeway and the airport. The landscaping is well maintained. The room A/C is a bit noisy but did not affect our sleep. We would stay here again.

    4
    « Enjoyable Stay »

Large property, smallish room, though very clean and comfortable. Found that the breakfast had improved over our last stay several years ago. Had a minor issue with the lack of parking after returning from a local show, in part due to several morons taking up two parking spaces for a single vehicle. We did end up finding a handicap spot (wife has MS and handicapped card) at an entrance quite a distance from our room, but we managed. Again, minor issue in an otherwise enjoyable stay.

    3
    « Pretty Average »

    « Hotel near BTV »

We needed a hotel that was close to the airport and a place to leave our car and shuttle to and from the airport. This hotel was very accommodating, clean, and friendly. We feel we got great value for our dollar.

    4
    « Great stay-great value »

We were in town visiting colleges and were very pleased with the hotel. The only two things that were not great was that the restaurant was overpriced and the door to our room did not latch properly unless we pushed/pulled on it tightly. This was a bit disconcerting as we did not realize this until we had been in the room for over 20 minutes - could have been bad if we didn't realize it and it happened when we went out.

    4
« Good location, clean, nice outdoor pool »

Just 2 easy miles from downtown Burlington, close to the airport (free shuttle offered), indoor and outdoor pool (with a nice inner court location, away from noise and traffic), clean hotel, comfortable beds, prompt room service. Plenty of families with children. Only improvement would be the free breakfast (location and food types)- during the summer months, area gets crowded very quickly, and also the food is poor in quality- mostly over-processed danishes/ muffins/ cereals. Questionable quality of sausage patties/ and eggs. Could use more fresh fruit, better yogurt options. They also offer nightly warm chocolate chip cookies and milk- a nice touch, especially for kids. Overal, a good stay!

    « Had a great stay »

This was a great Best Western. We stayed here for my husband to do the Vermont City Marathon and the prices/amenities were right for us. I expected a standard hotel, but it was surprisingly perfect. I would definitely stay again! - The room was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've been in. I sometimes get skeeved out in hotel rooms, but I felt totally comfortable in this one. - Both the indoor and outdoor pools were nice with plenty of seating around them. They had cornhole by the outdoor pool. - They began serving breakfast early on the marathon day so that the runners had time to grab breakfast before taking the shuttle to the start line, which was really nice. We were trying to figure out what to do for breakfast since we were leaving so early, so it was great to have this taken care of. - They have nice outdoor areas. They had a nice patio where you could eat your breakfast. We also ordered dinner one evening and ate it on the patio. It was a nice touch on a warm May evening. There are also picnic tables and one night we ordered pizza. - COOKIES!!! Warm chocolate chip cookies every evening! - The Windjammer Restaurant was very good! Good prices and family friendly. Try the salad bar. - Good wifi. Often I find that hotel wifi can be spotty, but it was pretty solid here. - Easy location. Right off the highway and close to Church Street and Waterfront Park. Parking was plentiful. Great place to stay around Burlington. Good price, clean, and nice amenities - that's all we needed!

    « Outstanding value! »

Great hotel! Outdoor pool was fun for the family, and the free breakfast was actually quite substantial with hot food choices too. There's also a free airport shuttle, which was great for us since we didn't hand a car. Nice walk into town (about 1 1/2 miles) or just use Uber. Staff was so nice and helpful, and room was clean and comfortable. A great stay!

    « Quick Overnight »

We recently had to travel from Montreal to South Burlington Vermont for a medical issue. After a long wait at the boarder and another wait at Urgent Care, we were delighted to visit our favorite hotel in South Burlington, the Best Western Plus Windjammer. Without reservations we were offered a lovely room close to the elevator so my husband would not have to walk far. The comfortable bed and quite hotel was a welcomed after a stressful day.

    4
    « Very Pleasant Stay »

Friendly, helpful staff who, I believe, checked me in before the official time. Very comfy bed with lots of pillows and a bolster. In-room coffee and refrigerator. Breakfast was part of the room deal, but I didn't partake. If the crowds of people were any indicator of quality, it must have been good. Although the hotel is in "South Burlington," it is very convenient to downtown. I would definitely stay there again. Starbucks just beyond the hotel parking lot.

    « very decent hotel »

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Burlington. It's a nice hotel, with the layout maybe a bit confusing in the beginning, because when you think of room 311, you think it's on the 3rd floor, but it really isn't, it's on the second. But it's all mapped out well so you won't get lost. Check-in was fast and very friendly, room was not too big but good enough for 2 people. We had a room on the inside of the hotel looking at the outdoor pool, so it was very quiet (no traffic noise as the hotel is close to the highway). Room and bathroom were very clean too! Elevator was a bit slow at times, if you really need to hear one 'complaint'. On the upside, fresh cookies around 8 at night, and they were delicious! The AC unit was very close to one of the two beds, so if you don't like cold air on you all night, take the bed furthest away from the window. :) Breakfast was like at most chain hotels, it did the trick to get you started, but nothing special. For such a big hotel, the breakfast room (which is actually also the lobby) might be a bit small if the hotel is fully booked. Hotel has multiple entrances, which is nice if you got a room far away from the lobby! All in all it was a pleasant stay, and would stay here again, as it's only 10 minutes from downtown Burlington, and quite a bit cheaper than the downtown hotels.

The Windjammer is an excellent value hotel located just a couple of miles from the Burlington Airport in South Burlington. The hotel staff exemplifies New England hospitality combined with professionalism. The hotel has both indoor and outdoor pools. The Upper Deck bar is excellent with a great selection of craft beers. The restaurant is excellent with an inventive menu at reasonable prices and a good wine list. My wife and I both enjoyed our stay.

We came to the area for a wedding and stayed here for 6 nights and everything was just great. Nice and quiet, great restaurant. We will stay here again on future visits to VT. The only thing is that there was not any information in the room on the hotel or the surrounding areas.

    « Last Minute Stay »

On the way back from Niagara Falls, we needed an overnight stay and after calling a couple of other area hotels, we booked with this hotel because of the room availability (a suite) and price. We were pleasantly surprised at the level of comfort and customer service provided. The pub restaurant was delicious and comfortable with excellent service.

    « Comfy as Grandma's House »

The weather was 93 and humid. The room was a haven. The AC was great. The mattresses wrapped you in pure love. The staff was wonderful. The indoor and outdoor pools looked beautiful, but the hallway was too stuffy to walk to the pool and the indoor pool was too warm to be refreshing. It was quiet at night, due to their 9 PM quiet policy, but a daytime nap was interrupted by children trying to break through our ceiling. Oh well. We had a fridge and microwave. TV was great. The hot breakfast was great...no cardboard waffles....real scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, breads, bagels, cereals, great coffees, yogurt, fresh fruit. No complaints. We did not try the restaurant, but the menus and prices looked good.

« Happy to be Here »

First impressions at check in: the front desk staff is professional, personable, helpful and warm. Ruthie was so nice and helpful when I checked in. The hotel overall is very attractive. Two swimming pools, indoor and outdoor. Our room although a little small, (one queen bed) had a great rate and is spotless, with the most comfortable mattress I ever slept on. I prefer one bed and saving money on the room rate. The tub surround had an attractive, stone-look tile. The breakfast was exceptional if you are a healthy eater. Almond milk, organic steel cut oatmeal and the usual offerings for a Best Western hotel. I checked out the restaurant and will definitely eat there. Again the staff was very nice. The waiter, I think his name is Dillon or Daryl, was so nice he answered question and asked the chef some of my questions. The young hostess was sweet and professional. I loved that there was grass fed beef burgers and free range chicken on the menu. I will definitely stay at the BW + Windjammer Inn whenever I am in the area. I travel for work and our home office is in Colchester, VT so I will be coming regularly. Great Job staff!

    « Everything and More... »

This Best Western Plus more than me my expectations. The warm, fresh-baked cookies and milk were the icing on the cake. The breakfast choices were very good. Having the Windjammer Inn within walking distance was a plus. The food and service there was 5 star!

    « Average Hotel »

I use to stay at Best Westerns exclusively which is how I climbed their rewards ladder. However due to inconsistent quality concerns from property to property I have started utilizing a different chain more frequently. However due to lack of availability in the area I wanted to stay and the location of this hotel I decided to spend a night here. Pros: Front desk personnel are friendly and efficient. I didn't eat breakfast but there was plenty of space and looked like a good variety of food. Plenty of parking and easy access. I didn't use the outdoor pool but it looked to be a good size and clean. Bathrooms were clean Cons: Room cleanliness was average. I prefer an extremely clean room which is why I placed it in the con section. Air conditioner was loud and didn't keep room cool. However I did tell this to the front desk staff at checkout and as I was walking out I heard them talking to maintenance to have it looked at so I give them credit for fixing this immediately. Conclusion:. This is what I have come to expect from Best Western. An average room at an average cost. This is a Best Western Plus which in my opinion barely meets the Plus expectations. It seems Best Western and Best Western Plus are becoming the same standard average budget hotels while their Premium hotels are the only consistent quality hotels in the Best Western chain. I wouldn't rule out a return trip here but I will most likely look around for a different hotel when passing through this area.

« It was ok, as are most hotels I've stayed at »

Comfortable mattress, room was clean except for faint odor of, perhaps, mildew. Not a problem for me. Not sure deadbolt actually latched, but the regular lock did. I think I used the internet from my cell phone and it was fine, though I didn't spend a lot of time on it. Otherwise, everything in the room was in good shape and clean. The room was a little nicer than some hotel rooms, but that didn't matter all that much to me, as long as it was clean. Breakfast was usual carb fest except for sausage and bacon which were not as tasty as they could have been. Still tasted good, just not as good as I had hoped. If I am staying in that area in the future, I'll probably go back, unless I can find something cheaper.

    « Wonderful hotel »

We found the staff very helpful. The rooms were very clean. There e 2 pools, but the day we were there the weather wasn't good. The Windjammer restaurant was excellent . We had one of best dinners. We did have a little problem finding the front entrance which is located off the main road down a drive way.

    « A Comfortable, Relaxing Stay »

I work overseas and always stay at this Best Western when I return home on vacation. The shuttle service to and from the airport is prompt. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. The Windjammer restaurant has excellent food, attentive staff, and great atmosphere. It is a testament to the restaurant that most of the customers are Burlington residents. There is a pub on the second floor if you prefer something less formal.

    « Trip stop over »

For the price, this is an excellent hotel. 2 pools to choose from. The restaurant has a pub upstairs. The food was well presented and cooked to our satisfaction. The room is pretty much like all BW rooms. Ours was a queen bed that was comfortable.

« Best Western Windjammer Inn »

i chose this hotel due to the pet friendly policy. The room was great.. not rug on the floor which is perfect. $10 fee for having the god in the room.. which isn't bad. I was not impressed by the Windjammer restaurant. you are able to get take out due to the fact there was no room service. i got the salad bar, which was a major disapointment. all in all a great hotel.

    « Highly Recommended »

We had a very pleasant three-day stay at the Windjammer. The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. The hotel lobby, breakfast area and the room were all clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. Our room was on the third floor and was very quiet, the bed was great, and the temperature was well controlled. An added bonus is the on-site restaurant, the Windjammer, is one of the best in Bennington. See the restaurant reviews for details. As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel is hard to find because it is well set back from the highway, and the Best Western sign is tiny. If you are arriving from the Interstate it will be on the left about 0.2 mi. into town. Turn left at the traffic light between the Sunoco station and Starbucks.

Large property, with indoor heated saltwater pool, and outdoor seasonal pool. Clean, comfortable rooms. Free breakfast items included gluten-free options which were much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.

« Clean comfortable great location »

I usually stay with another hotel brand but decided to give best western a try since they're across the street from another hotel I've stayed at but a better price point. I was pleasantly surprised. Beds were comfortable bathroom was large enough for needs and table and chairs were just the right size for 2. Pool looks great outside but weather didn't work for us. Great location a few minutes from Burlington attractions and the cookies at night were a good break. Breakfast had variety of selections and was just enough to get us going for the day. Thanks Best Western. The only issue I have is that I saw someone refilling a water bottle at the drink machine - I know Vermont encourages refillable water bottles but bottle drinking spouts shouldn't touch the dispenser - other than that everything else was to our liking.

    « Nice location »

Good location for the price and the room, lobby were very clean. I think it is an older hotel because wood floors creak. We stayed in room 217 and could hear people above whenever they were walking in their room - the ceiling, their floor squeaked. The room we had was 1 bed, so was a bit small, but still was fine for us. Breakfast was the standard you find - eggs, meat, juice, coffee, yogurt, breads, muffins, etc. Free, plenty of parking. Easy access to Williston road and about 5-10 minutes from downtown Burlington, easy to drive to. First time drove by it because there is just a small green sign out front along Williston rd. and you cannot see the hotel because it is in the back about 400 feet. Their restaurant Windjammer is rated #1 and so true as I discovered.

    « Totally average »

We recently stayed at this hotel during a road trip through Vermont as all the hotels in downtown Burlington were very expensive (it was independence weekend). This hotel is not going to blow you away; it's also not going to repulse you. It's just a very average hotel. What was good? The hotel's relatively new so no complaints in term of cleanliness or infrastructure. What was bad? Location, price, total lack of anything to make you smile.

« Wonderful hotel friendly staff!! »

This was our second time staying at the Windjammer and I wouldn't stay anywhere else when going back to Burlington!! It's within a reasonable price range as well as a beautiful hotel!! We have been staying there as our son is looking to go to Champlain College starting in 2017, I foresee quite a few stays in our future!! The pool (indoor) is amazing especially after our 7 hour car ride) The morning breakfast is a treat to get you going. Also don't forget warm cookies in the lobby at 8pm nightly. They have added a small Convenience store to the lobby which has all sorts of goodies in it. The resturant attached the food is to die for, a bit pricey but worth trying if you're celebrating !!

« Nice accomodations at reasonable price »

A nice choice when staying in the Burlington area. The hotel is conveniently located a short distance from downtown Burlington and UVM and a short hop from Burlington airport. The rooms are quiet even though the hotel is close to roadways. Windjammer restaurant which is on the property is an excellent choice for food. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

    « Well worth it! »

I needed to check in Friday around noon, as I was getting married that night. I called about a month before to inform them. They put my room at the top of the cleaning list. When I called that morning, I was told my room was ready (at about 10:00). They went above and beyond to make sure it would be ready so that I had enough time to get ready. As for the hotel, it was fantastic. It was very clean from top to bottom. I had two rooms rented, a standard two queen sized bed room and a Jr. suite. Both were clean. The suite was well worth the extra cost for me and my wife. There was plenty of room in this suite and I would most likely book that style room again for my next stay. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our room, the hotel and our overall experience. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in need of a good place to stay at a reasonable price.

    « Best Value »

We have stayed at this BW many times when we visit Burlington. For the well priced accommodations they include breakfast with many options. They have a very nice outside pool (inside pool too) with comfortable lounge chairs, plenty of towels, tables/chairs if you want to enjoy your lunch, nice landscaping and very clean to enjoy in the summer months if you need some relaxing time. Oh yeah, in the evening they put out freshly baked warm chocolate chip cookies in the reception area!

    5
    « Super Clean! »

Everything about this hotel is great. Very clean room and facilities. Very attentive and friendly staff. Pool was extremely clean and warm. Breakfast selections were good. It's the first time that I've seen almond milk offered at breakfast. I don't drink milk, so it was a nice option. Staff was very helpful when assisting us with questions about directions to different sights. Would gladly stay there again.

« Nice Rooms, very hard to find the main entrance and questionable food preparation. »

The first thing you notice about this Best Western in Williston South Burlington VT is that it is hard to find off Williston Rd. This Best Western is hidden behind its restaurant which is facing the roadway, so we spent a few unnecessary minutes trying to locate the main building, which when we arrived in the evening was totally hidden from view. When we finally found the building and the parking lot at the back of the building I had to trudge around and find the main entrance which was also hidden and finally after walking into the restaurant I was able to locate a manager who took us to a side entrance that was locked. This time was approx 9.30pm.. So they do not seem to have signage to the main entrance. Finally the entrance was unlocked and I walked into to book the room we had reserved that day. The room we ordered had two king beds and was comfortable for our needs with free wi-fi, though cellular telephone reception was very very poor...just one bar. The room we booked was also very quiet. After we settled in three of us went to the restaurant to order some food. The restaurant was closed, so we ordered some comfort food from the bar. The service was good but there may have been some issues with some of the meat items. For the following morning three of my group woke up with upset stomachs of varying degrees. Best Western does offer a free complimentary breakfast which was adequate, Overall a mixed experience and the person on day/evening reception could have been more helpful. Would I go back? Unlikely, unless service and building facilities are improved.

« Stop in Burlington Vt »

Most hotels were sold out July 2, 2016 bolt the Best Western still had a few rooms and was under $200 so we decided to stay there. When got there at about 10:30 PM took about 15-20 minutes to check in since only one person working dark and he was helping someone else first and had to stop a few times to answer phone calls. In room bed and pillows were very comfortable. Room was clean and showers was very nice. Free breakfast was over crowded due to size of hotel and kept running out of food and bumping into people trying to get food. Overall, decent hotel, nice room, but breakfast could have more space and be better organized.

    « Stay was OK »

Pros: Decent location near some restaurants and shopping along with a short drive to downtown Burlington and other local attractions, plus near the airport; reasonable price with decent breakfast included each morning in the lobby (continental items plus some hot items like sausage, bacon, eggs); milk & cookies in the lobby each evening; two nice pools - one indoor and one outdoor; microwave and fridge in each room along with nice TV with decent channel selection; free Wi-Fi (although it didn't work well with my iPhone, but the rest of my family didn't have issues with it). There's a restaurant on site, which I've heard is quite good, but it was too pricey for us (being a family of 4), so we didn't eat there. Cons: Our room was very, very small - probably the smallest 2-bed room I've ever stayed in (for a higher cost I'm you could get a bigger room); one light fixture didn't work because it had a broken compact fluorescent bulb in it, which is pretty dangerous to leave there (made me wonder about maintenance); room and most of hotel could use some updating - some things look worn and dated; the room smelled when we first entered it after being out each day (like must or mildew - it went away after the HVAC ran more - although it too had a bit of a smell at times - but still was present); the floors creak when you walk on them, which would be annoying I think in the lower floors (we were on the top floor, fortunately); had numerous problems with the room key - couldn't get into the room when we first got there and then another time a few days later; difficult to shower our young children because the toilet was right next to the bathtub/shower (bathroom very small). Bottom Line: It served its purpose, and for the price was ok, but you may be able to do better. While the pools are very nice, I think some work needs to go into the guest rooms and hallways to give the place a brighter, more modern look and feel.

    « Very nice stay »

Nice spacious clean rooms, lots of parking spots. When you are looking for this hotel, it is hidden in the "second row" and slightly confusing to find where the lobby is. Very convenient located within a short distance you are on all interesting spots

« Good spot to tour around the Burlington area »

Great location to access the Lake ( for cycling) and downtown Burlington. Good solid breakfast, scrambled eggs , bacon, fresh fruit in a buffet. Friendly service. Room was comfortable but tight quarters. A/c needed lots of adjustments.

    « Great Place »

Room was very clean, bathroom tip top, staff very helpful , would recommend Morning breakfast, was ample and fresh , only thing that was different was having to drive around to back to check in, , also was a secure building, with limited outside access, Handicap was a breeze getting in and room was close to car.

    4
    « One Night Stay »

For the price it would be hard to beat. Quiet, breakfast is included which is fine. Cookies at night. Plenty of on site free parking, everyone was very nice. Only thing is the bathroom needs updating but I would stay again no problem.

We attended a large family wedding in Burlington. Accommodations were excellent for adults and children along with a beautiful pool. The children also enjoyed the indoor pool. There were lovely flowers and the property was beautifully landscaped. We highly recommend this hotel.

« Two night stay at the Best Western »

Just stayed at this hotel this week. The hotel property, rooms and common areas were very clean. There are two floors at this hotel which has an elevator. Two swimming pools (inside and outside) are available. Our room had 2 double beds. Tub surround was tiled with multi-colored brown tile which looked very nice. Breakfast selection was very good and the breakfast room was spacious. Two attendants kept the items well stocked. Very nice property. Would stay here again on future visit.

« Windjammer Inn, south Burlington, VT »

Our six-day stay at the hotel was probably the 20th stay there over ten years. It is an excellent hotel in every respect: service, staff, value, guest rooms, breakfast room, restaurantcleanliness, location. With my wife we have reservation to return in mid-July 2016. We will also return several times during the next 12 months!

« What a saving grace this hotel was! »

I was at Burlington's airport waiting around for a plane that finally got cancelled. It was already evening, and I was one of the last from my flight to get the bad news I wasn't going anywhere that night. The woman at the information desk steered me toward this hotel as one that was close, with a shuttle that could come get me and return me at four the next morning. WOW. I was so well treated, given a great rate, the person on the phone and then at the desk was incredibly kind and friendly, the room was big and airconditioned and clean and quiet... I hardly experienced the hotel, alas, but everything I could see seemed first rate-nice pool, for instance. If I ever have a reason to need a room in Burlington for longer than a few brief hours of sleep, I'll be back. Free wifi and coffee maker in room were also very nice to have. And even with my super early departure, there was a bit of breakfast in a to-go bag I could take, and the cereal and a few other things available to grab as well. THANK YOU BEST WESTERN BURLINGTON for easing a hassled situation.

    « AMAZING! »

The hotel was excellent from the moment we booked! The staff was so friendly and each member went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The front desk staff even saved my daughter cookies when they ran out due to a large group in the house. Thank you so much we will be back shortly and cant wait to see the staff! Kudos to James, Jay, Robin and Bonnie! Our housekeeper was amazing! I cant say enough about our stay. We didn't want to leave the property ate in the onsite restaurant two nights dinner and service was perfect! we will be back.....

I've stayed here twice and I couldn't be happier. The rooms are VERY clean, stocked, modern. The beds are so comfortable! The A/C works great, the staff is kind, the grounds are well maintained. TVs are new and big. Would recommend to anyone and will continue staying here, I really can't say enough good things about this place!

    « Excellent Experience »

Even though I booked this hotel online on a blind basis at a greatly discounted rate, they gave us a very comfortable suite. The hotel is just on the other side of I-89 from UVM and downtown Burlington. The place is well maintained, the staff is friendly, and the free hot breakfast is more than adequate. My only concern would be that there is only one elevator in the entire four story hotel, and I wonder if this would be a problem if the hotel were full.

    5
    « Excellent service »

This hotel is in a great location. Centrally located to UVM and Market Street. The hotel has a great continental breakfast, employees are pleasant, and the restaurant and pools are terrific. They work very well w/ large groups as well.

« "Decent one night stay »

The outside of the hotel is attractive. The check-in and out was speedy and the folks friendly. Not sure what happened the night before we arrived, but the staff was drying out the second floor carpet. They worked diligently and we couldn't notice was the issue was later in the day. The downside for me was the fact that the room was small as was the bathroom. It was fairly cozy for just the two of us. The towels in the bathroom were nice. The bed was firm and there were several very nice fluffy pillows. I highly recommend leaving the air on to block out sound. We could here folks walking in the room above. In the morning we could hear someone sawing and working in the room next to us. I slept fairly well the one night we stayed. The breakfast was the usual but hot and good. The staff worked hard to keep it stocked: eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, a few types of very good bagels, juice etc. The wifi worked fine for me. On the plus side there was a Keurig machine in the room that my wife used along with a microwave and small fridge. Overall, it was a decent stay.

We came out of Canada after a week of visiting the Maritime provinces and found this to be the perfect place to decompress! « Very Nice Hotel »

This hotel was nice because they have an indoor & an outdoor pool! In the indoor pool area, the ceiling has 2 sky lights, the atmosphere is Very nice~ lodge looking! Towels were very clean & always stocked. The hotel itself was super clean. They have foods for the fridge & microwave that are located in the cabinet under the t.v area- nice! We loved the free breakfast area, you might need to go at different times for table availability, we were there on a holiday weekend, & it did get full, However, it did not take too long for us to get a table. The breakfast was very good, they have hot foods also, bacon & eggs. The staff at this hotel was excellent! The grounds have walkways that also lead to the Restaurant, we had reservations in advance through Open table, it does look like you should call ahead. The restaurant was good, the Prime Rib, Excellent! The salad bar was messy, because of the amount of people, However, I loved the choices, & it was very good.

« East access to UVM »

When we visit our daughter at UVM, we like to stay at the Best Western Plus. It offers easy access to campus, a nice breakfast, a pool, and the restaurant and bar are excellent. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. We have tried staying further out of Burlington to save money, but are always disappointed with the room. A good value for a nice room.

I loved the stay here! I couldn't be happier with the quality of the hotel, the friendliness of the staff, and the convenience of the location and transportation the hotel had to offer in order to get me to and from my marathon and packet pick-up. I'm planning on running Vermont Marathon again next year and there's no other hotel I'd rather book to get me ready the night before!

    « Hoped for better! »

Nice hotel, clean . Needs serious sound proofing in ceiling and walls. Could hear every move the people made, haven't been able to get much sleep, since our next door neighbor decided to come in late every night ( after 1 a.m.) make a lot of noise ( slam doors, laugh, talk loudly, not to mention the wild sex party). Other than the noisy people, the hotel was fine. The indoor pool needs surveillance, although the rules are very clear, people still come in with food and beverages! The staff was OK. We've seen a lot better from Best Western and were expecting the same high standards, to that extent, we're disappointed and would think twice before choosing this hotel again!

This hotel is one of my favorites, with extraordiinarily friendly and helpful service, and very good facilities.Although the location is a long walk from the centre of Burlington, it is close to the airport and some intersting stores. The restaurant is outstanding.

« Good rooms plus restaurant and bar »

The Windjammer is not the newest hotel in the area but it is very well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. We appreciate the location a bit outside the bustle of downtown but still close enough for easy access. It's also great to get a nightcap before bed and not have to drive. The included hot breakfast helps make it a good value. We have stayed here several times and will again.

    « A Great Place to Stay! »

Starting from the reception, staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean room, the hotel had a pleasant ambience. The hotel also provided shuttle for me to get to town and to the airport, which is more than one can say about other hotels. And the shuttle drivers were very polite and helpful indeed. Overall I had a very pleasant stay, and would be delighted to lodge there over and over again!

« Nice place for Burlington Stay »

A good, fair-priced place to stay in Burlington, VT if you don't need to or want to stay in the immediate downtown. Staff is good. Like indoor pool. Restaurant and pub on property are both nice, but there are plenty of other options nearby.

    « Another Great Stay! »

Love this hotel. The staff are friendly and professional and the hotel is very clean with great beds and soft towels. Hotel amenities are nice and the newer hot breakfast selections were appreciated. The Windjammer restaurant did not disappoint - get the nachos or their roast beef! The hotel is close to shopping, downtown Burlington and easy access on and off the interstate. Look forward to our next visit.

« Overnight stay at Best Western »

The experience was overall very good. However, the internet would not connect to my laptop. This was frustrating as this was a business trip and rely on my laptop to operate. The room was clean, with all the amenities that I would need for an overnight accommodation. Staff was extremely friendly.

« Warm cookies, clean rooms and a great pool »

Clean and comfortable place. The indoor pool is large, clean and a good temperature. (The outdoor pool was not open yet during our stay.) The pool floor is soft, not tile. Plenty of chaise chairs and towels. The grounds are a nice place for eating breakfast. Ample parking. Location is great for access to downtown and other parts of Burlington. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Warm cookies every Friday and Saturday evenings!

    « Lovely Surprise »

We were moving our daughter in to the area. We booked a room at the last minute. We were very pleasantly surprised. The room was recently renovated and the bed sooo comfortable! The breakfast is great with a variety of hot and cold foods. Would definitely stay there again!!

« Another fine stay at Best Western, Burlington »

This was a park-and-ride, because I was to be away for a week. Staying at BW saved me an hour's drive to the airport, and the room charge was small saving over the airport parking rate. Plus, a good night's sleep, a timely wake-up call, a van shuttle to the airport, and a speedy pick-up when I called upon returning. Safe car parking, no issues. The hotel is quiet and the staff are very pleasant.

« Another great Best Western »

This was my first time staying in Vermont and this was a nice place to stay. When I arrived, Kelsey did a great job checking me in. I booked a room with 2 beds and I only wanted one and she gave me the room I wanted and I was extremely pleased. The place was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. I had a few minor issues, but they were taken care of in the best way possible. I will stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

    « Clean and Comfortable »

I stayed at the Best Western Plus Windjammer while I was attending an event at UVM. Overall, the hotel was quite comfortable and provided a very good stay. The hotel is right off the highway and is a very short drive to the UVM campus and downtown Burlington. The two double room I had was updated with modern bedding. The room had a flat screen tv and small refrigerator. The bathroom had enough space and everything was clean. The hallways were a bit worn and the floor level arrangement was confusing (floors 1 and 3 are one half of the hotel, 2 and 4 the other), but it did not detract from the quality of the stay. Expanded continental breakfast was included and there is a restaurant on the premises, although it does not connect to the hotel. Wifi was also included. I would recommend the Best Western Plus Windjammer as a very good place to stay in the Burlington area.

« Extremely friendly and welcoming staff »

Great staff - Friendly service. Looks like they are renovating and updating, but it didn't interfere or affect my stay. I would definitely return. Very clean! And they bake cookies every evening for when you return from your day.

    « Great experience »

This hotel is the best for service and cleanliness. The rooms are well appointed, the beds are very comfortable and the food at the Upper Pub is to die for! We come here 2 to 3 times a year as the hotel is situated close to the shopping malls and outlets. Will continue to come here as long as I can and would suggest this as a place for family, friends, a girl's night out, etc.

    « Got what I hoped for »

Took my daughters but one especially to visit the University of Vermont. It was right down the street from the college. Just as comfortable and clean as the one I stayed in in Maine. I asked for a pullout bed and they were there within 5 minutes. Very clean. Breakfast was good, the basic buffet. Overall I would recommend this to anyone business or pleasure! And they take AAA!

    5
« Excellent stay as always! »

Great hotel, staff and value. They are in the process of upgrading the rooms and the changes look amazing. My only complaint was that breakfast was cold. Breakfast is usually served in the lobby, but the lobby is under renovation so it was being served at the Windjammer restaurant, the eggs, bacon, sausage and french toast were cold. Obviously their warming trays were not working properly. Overall though this is a great hotel, super friendly and helpful staff. This is the only place we stay when we travel to Vermont.

    5
    « Pet Friendly!! »

We stayed here with my hockey team for a local tournament. I was impressed with how pet friendly the hotel was. Dogs receive a bone upon arrival, and staff is very welcoming to them. The grounds and surrounding area are outstanding for dog walking. Our room was nice, normal amenities, we had no problems with wireless internet, but there were times the cable TV reception was choppy. There is a restaurant and pub onsite that is very popular. We had 2 meals in the pub. Craft beer selection is generous, and the menu was wonderful. Our waitress Emily gave us outstanding service. We'll return to this hotel. We've stayed in others in past years, but this meets our needs best.

    4
« Good short visit to U of Vermont »

The staff were friendly and helpful. When we were a little late for the shuttle, the front desk fellow called me in the room to make sure we were up. The layout of this property is a little odd, but it's off the main road so not too noisy.

« Incredibly friendly and helpful staff »

My two night stay was enhanced by the cheerful and efficient staff at this conveniently located Best Western Plus. Extra blankets, internet help, recommendations about what to do in Burlington--all provided promptly and with personalized attention. Had a quiet room on the fourth floor overlooking the woods. The work out room was spotless and had good variety. In walking distance to Starbucks and about 5 minutes to the airport.

    4
    « Great Burlington Hotel »

We stayed here as a family. While they were doing renovations to the front lobby, which meant we had to walk outside to get breakfast in the morning, the stay was entirely pleasant. Staff were prompt and courteous. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom had a fan, which I count as a big plus. The room was clean if a bit small. I'd stay here again.

    5
    « Busy weekend »

Although there was tremendous people traffic, this was a great hotel to stay at. not far from popular Church Street. A little hidden out of the way, you have to look for the sign on Main Street. But it has a fitness room, pool, breakfast and cookies!!

    5
    « Satisfied »

I would highly recommend this facility. I was there traveling for business. The Windchammer Restaurant was great. Good food, great bar. Easy on/off Rt 89. Staff was friendly. Rooms clean, Beds comfortable.

    5
    « Wonderful Staff »

I normally have issues when I am traveling for business since my main office makes my reservations. The hotel manager addressed all my issues with out any delay or needing to reach out to her corporate office. This has not been my experience with other hotels and I will defiantly staff at this hotel again!

    4
    « Comfortable Stay »

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days. I was greeted by warm and welcoming staff on arrival and departure. Though it is a bit dated it was very clean. There was a man painting and doing touch ups when I was there to keep the hotel clean and fresh. The breakfast was great each morning. I really enjoyed the hot items: eggs, bacon, sausage and french toast. The coffee was also great. A nice selection of breakfast. My stay was relatively peaceful. At certain times you could hear people going in and out of their rooms but nothing too loud or irritating. I liked that the hotel was a bit secluded from the main road as it kept things quiet. I also love that the hotel is a 2 minute walk from Starbucks. My room had a mini fridge and microwave which was great for bringing back take out. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

    5
« Excellent place to stay in Burlington »

Very nice, clean & friendly place to stay with many ammenities. Nice pool which we did not use, microwave & fridge in room & milk & hot cookies in lobby at 8pm. Offers hospital stay discounted rate and shuttle service to UVM which was wonderful as were able to shuttle over early & return to a wonderful hot breakfast & gather our items which we otherwise would have done in an early morning rush. Highly recommend.

    5
« Pleasant Stay and Excellent Breakfast »

We had a very pleasant stay for a one night business trip. The rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was the best we have ever had at a Best Western. If I had to dislike something it would be the small room size.

    5
    « just saying »

excellent choice for a quality stay pleasant employee's good food ( although under sized for the price ) and the beds are very soft with a relatively quite heater it seems rather hard to say more than this when you travel check-in late and leave early your happy to have a clean room, soft bed, and some good food.

    4
    « Small but clean! »

I'm very picky about hotels, so trust me when I tell you this one was very clean & the bed was pretty comfortable!! They have free breakfast in the morning, but we didn't stay for it. We checked in about midnight, guy at the desk was cool. Overall very decent hotel.

« Good place to stay in Burlington »

This was our second visit here and it's a great place to stay when visiting Burlington. It's a ten minute drive to Burlington which isn't bad. The rooms are basic but clean. Staff is friendly. Free wifi and continental breakfast. My daughter loves the indoor pool! There's also a Starbucks in walking distance!

    4
    « clean room, good price, wi-fi & breakfast »

I stay here often when I don't want to make the 90 mile round trip home. Beds are great, Wi-Fi speed is good, breakfast is above average for a free hotel breakfast. The amount of sound you can hear in the hall is not too bad (a PLUS!!) For the price it's well worth it. Plus they serve warm cookies at 8:00 pm!

    4
« Second stay, good place »

While this Best Western is a bit more expensive than others, some of the amenities may make it worthwhile. We used the well equipped fitness room (but they should move the weight machine away from the wall so all functions are possible), the pool (nice and warm but a bit small for laps) as well as had dinner at the attached restaurant/pub. It's in a good location, close to the airport (no noise issues for us) and just a few minutes from the Burlington waterfront park. Breakfast options were above average for a free buffet, including fresh fruit, yogurt etc. Workers renovating the floor we were on left carts of equipment and open cans of paint in the hallway in the morning, which was unpleasant and somewhat difficult to maneuver around. They should open a window to vent the odors from the paint and sealant that was detectable in the hallway.

« Comfortable hotel on the outskirts of Burlington »

This is the perfect place to stay when you visit Burlington: a not-too-far walk from downtown, great on-site restaurant, delicious full breakfast, spacious rooms, and plenty of parking. I stay here twice a year: for skiing and the Vermont City Marathon. Both bring a ton of people to Burlington, so I stay here, park my car, and don't move it for the weekend. You can walk to most places or take the complimentary shuttle. A full breakfast, including freshly-baked waffles, eggs, and plenty of other options, is included with your stay. They also provide free cookies during evening check-in. You don't even have to leave the property for a great dinner: the windjammer has one of Burlington's best restaurants on premises. The hotel doesn't feel like a chain hotel, as it has a light oak interior and other touches of New England. It also has a great outdoor and indoor pool. Do yourself a favor and stay here when you are visiting Burlington!

    4
« Very good Inn and Restaurant at reasonable price »

Clean comfortable room, full breakfast, excellent restaurant, nice indoor pool. The restaurant was among the best hotel restaurants we have visited. Location is good and they offer free transportation to the Burlington International airport.

    5
    « Team Accommodations »

Jeff Bushy and his staff at Best Western Plus Windjammer helped us reach our goal of playing for a national Championship by setting us meeting areas, food and snack areas for our teams, room accommodations with check in and check out along with adjusting the cleaning times so the athletes were not disturbed during rest periods. It was clean, quiet and a friendly place to be. The open tea/cocoa area was a welcome greeting and gathering area for our athletes. Thank you.

    5
    « Great Experience »

This is an excellent property for group travel! We loved the location and the friendly staff! The Windjammer Restaurant and Pub were also excellent. It doesn't hurt that there is a Starbuck's located at the entrance of the parking lot!

    5
« Very clean, Great Breakfast »

Stayed at this hotel on a business trip. The was a national hockey championship in town with team's staying in the hotel. Room was quiet and well appointed. Clean room, very comfortable beds, and great breakfast.

« Pleasant stay close to Burlington »

The model lies on the main road out of Burlington just beyond the U of VT. & the interstate. It is set well back from the road so noise is not a problem - but you might miss it if you speed by the entrance! Hotel is well maintained. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is good example of the ubiquitous "motel hot breakfast" (mystery eggs, sausage, cereal, breads, muffins justice coffee. etc. We had a light early dinner at the bar attached to the property - and were favorably impressed. A nice selection of local beer on draught and good food selections that went above and beyond pub-fare. Overall a very pleasant stay.

« Hotel park and fly »

We stayed at the best western in south Burlington for the park and ride for our vacation . The check in was great no hassles parked vehicle for 10 days , received ride to and from airport with no issues , so it was nice and calm and the room was nice and clean and it was a great way to start our vacation

    « Great Place »

The staff were wonderful, the room clean and the shuttle service to/from the airport was especially appreciated. Although we didn't use all of the amenities available on this trip, they offer everything..the pool, workout room, continental breakfast, and there is an excellent restaurant bar (Windjammer Restaurant) just outside their door. We have stayed here several times and the experience has always been great!

    3
    « Not impressed »

Room heating/cooler system is dated and makes lots of noise. Breakfast was horrible, food wasn't good, they staff didn't refill the buffet and there wasn't even enough space for everyone to sit down. People had to share tables, use the couches in the lobby or take the food to their rooms. The only good thing about it was the guy at the front desk that checked us in, he was very friendly and helpful.

    3
    « A Decent Place »

Great location, close to I91, UVM and Burlington Center. An awesome pub and restaurant right on the property along with a very friendly and helpful staff for a fair price made this a good stay. However, the rooms are a little small and only have double beds which are comfortable, but small for us larger framed guests. it is apparent they have done what they can in updating the rooms, but please remove the stained carpeting. Also, a tip here; put the fan on to drown out any noisy late night guests traversing the hallways after a night on Church St. We didn't use the indoor pool or fitness center, but both appeared clean and up to date. Free breakfast was good with plenty of choices too.

    4
    « Very pleasantly surprised »

Very helpful staff, clean room and wi-fi was included in the stay. I hate it, when hotels charge for wifi, which in 2016 should be included in every room, so this was a nice surprise for a budget hotel. Also, every night there was cookies!

    5
    « Great service, Great food, Super-affordable. »

We came for a weekend. Breakfast was included. All the staff was helpful and effective. Everything in great shape. Central location. Easy to visit colleges etc. On site restaurant is very good. Lots of food choices nearby, also. Al's (across the street) really does have the best fries in town.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

The convenient location and responsive staff made our trip a successful one. Unfortunately, our schedule was a little tight, so we did not get to take advantage of the hotel's offer to sit back and enjoy the complimentary chocolate chip cookies in the evening in the cafe. I would highly recommend the hotel for both business or leisure travel. As it turned out, I was taking care of family business while my husband worked out of the hotel for the day. It was a busy time, but a hassle-free stay. Appreciated the friendly staff.

    « Best Western/Windjammer stay »

My daughter and I stayed here the night before her surgery at a nearby hospital. The hotel and staff were great and the location was quiet - other guests a bit noisy, however. The beds were very comfortable, the WIFI was easily accessed and fast, and there was a good breakfast offered in the AM.

« Not understanding the good reviews.... »

We stayed at this hotel the night prior to a 5:10am flight from Burlington International. We didn't arrive until about 11:30pm. The front desk agent was eating a pizza while we were trying to check in, which I found completely rude. We got to our room and I went to take a shower, but there were no towels. I didn't call for any because it made me wonder if the bathroom had even been cleaned. The bed was extremely stiff and made for a terrible 3 hours of sleep. We left to get to the airport early (around 3:30) and the same front desk agent rudely told us she couldn't check us out because we were too early as if we were completely oblivious to the fact that it was 3:30am..... The only reason I rated "poor" instead of "terrible" was because the location to the airport was awesome. We got there at 3:35am.

    5
    « Great Stay! »

Room was very clean. Very nice pool and fitness center. Really close to Burlington center. We would definitely stay there again! The breakfast was good and the staff kept it fresh and fully stocked. Nice touch with the warm cookies and cold milk served at 8:00pm. Great experience!

« Great Place to Stay »

If you are staying in the Burlington Vermont area, give the Best Western a try. Rooms are competitively priced and a very helpful staff nice add on, the warm cookies in the lobby at 8 are a nice touch. The restaurant next door has an excellent selection at a fair price. After a long day on the road staying here made it a little better.

    « Great Stay »

Wonderful, consistently good experience. Great bar/restaurant right next door only adds to the stay. Breakfast is the same every morning, but has plenty of diversity for anybody--the chocolate chip cookies at 8PM are something to look forward to. The fitness room is only average. It would be ideal if they added a set of dumbbells. I typically come to VT with the expectation of a good beer. The Upper Deck bar (attached to the hotel) never fails to deliver on this end!

    « Best Western Plus »

I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western. Employees were delightful and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. For the price, this is one of the better hotels. I have no complaints at all. Close to airport and shuttle to take you.

« A great place to stay with a wonderful restaurant »

We stayed here for a few days over Christmas and were very pleased with the service, the room and the restaurant. It is in a good location, close to shopping and the downtown. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast had a number of excellent offerings. The folks at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel and restaurant and we would definitely stay here again.

    « A Burlington icon »

The Windjammer is an excellent value, well run hotel in Burlington. They've been there a long time, have a locally-owned vibe, and get lots of repeat business. I rated all categories the highest possible. The 24 hour, courteous van service to the airport (5 minutes) was key for my stay. I will definitely stay here again.

« Nice but can be noisy »

Nice room, comfortable, good breakfast but the ran out of eggs, My biggest complaint would be the noise. You could hear everything. I would ask for a quieter area of the hotel next time. Flushing the toilet is VERY loud.

Excellent stay. Workout room, pool, breakfast, room and courteous staff made this a positive 3 day stay. Clean and bright room. The internet connection was fast. On site laundry room. « Family trip »

We are very comfortable here and the staff makes you feel that way. We used the pool and the gym and found them very clean and well kept. The breakfast lady that takes care of it cares a lot about her job and is very friendly.

    « Great location & service »

This was a perfect place to stay while attending a weekend class at UVM. They accommodated my dogs as well. My kids loved the pool. It was very clean, the breakfast was excellent, and we received friendly service. The standard room with 2 doubles was a little tight for 4 people and 2 dogs, but we managed. They have a small fridge and microwave in the rooms so it's not necessary to eat out for every meal.

« Great Stay with Great People »

I think this is one of the friendliest places I have ever stayed. Everyone at this hotel was exceptional! The room was very clean and comfortable. I appreciate all that Ashley and the rest of the staff did for me and my family to make things easier for me from the late checkout to the shuttling. Thank you!

« Little family get away »

Needed a break and went to Burlington to visit family. We used the pool to relax and also used the restaurant that was attached to the hotel for some very excellent desserts! The beds are small (doubles) for couples to sleep comfortably in so my husband slept with our son. They should offer 2 queen beds instead of 2 doubles or 1 king. Otherwise, room was clean and heater/air unit was quiet while running. Would recommend this hotel to others.

« Best Service and Staff »

Cannot say enough; the staff was extremely helpful on all points since I had medical appointments. Breakfast was great with a variety for anyone's taste even the cookies & milk in the evening. Everything was close by and got to use a facial with a facility within walking distance. Definitely a pleasure and look forward to staying at a "plus". Had stayed at regular BW's in the past but this was a winner. Only downside is we were told there was a hot tub. The pool was a bit too cool for me but I know families enjoyed the availability.

Traveled to Burlington for hockey game at U VT. Looking to stay at hotel with pool, restaurant, and pub. Would highly rate this hotel. Staff most helpful and friendly. Very clean and well kept. Enjoyed the stay and will definitely stay again in the future.

    « Good hotel, weak Wi-Fi »

I have visited this hotel 6 times and always enjoyed the staff, service, bed, breakfast, and convenience to Burlington and the interstate. The Upper Deck Pub right next door has tasty food and local draft brews and a fun vibe. The wi-fi was s-l-o-w and intermittent. Don't count on it!

    « Great Hotel »

We traveled as a family and needed 3 rooms. Even though the hotel was completely booked the night before our arrival and our 1st night, they were able to accommodate rooms near each other and early check in. Rooms are clean and nice. Small fridge and microwave in each room is great. Pool area was nice and breakfast was also good. Warm cookies and milk each night in the lobby. The hotel is a great price for what you get! We would definitely stay here again. None of us had any complaints.

« Very nice and reasonably price hotel/restaurant in South Burlington BUT...... »

We visited Burlington Vermont in February and based on price decided to stay in South Burlington (a short ride outside Burlington proper) as the hotels in Burlington were noticeably more expensive. We chose this hotel. The desk staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was well positioned as far as location goes. It had a lovely large pool which we took advantage of and a really nice exercise room which we also took advantage of. There was a bar and restaurant within the complex but we went to neither. The rooms were very nice and worth the price. Cleaning staff did a very good job. ONLY negative is that there was a noticeable noise factor within the halls and in the adjoining rooms. I guess its dependent on the courtesy of the people who are in the rooms that are adjourned to yours whether or not they are noisy or not. I would think however, in a hotel situation, people would be more considerate of the other people on the floors. Constant closing and slamming of doors is not very courteous at all hours. Once people are settled in however it was quiet. Would come here again but ask to have a room with no one above me and also limited rooms on either side.

The signage for the hotel was small and I missed it the first time. The hotel is located behind another building so easy to miss. But overall it turned out to be a good choice.

« Clean, Comfortable and Convenient! »

Fantastic right from the start! When I booked, I mentioned that my husband was having surgery at UVMMC so I requested a ground floor room and they were very accomodating. Very nice to have it located right down the road from the hospital. Upon arrival - check in was a breeze and front desk was very welcoming - also we were just in time for fresh cookies! The room was clean, loved having a fridge, microwave, wifi and plug in ports bedside. The bed was so cozy, best nights sleep I've had in a while. Continental breakfast area was very clean and had a great selection. I've had continental breakfasts before that left much to be desired, but there was such a great variety here that I left very satisfied. Would definitely recommend and stay here again and again!

    « GREAT STAY!! »

My daughter was in UVM Hospital, they took me back and forth everyday at no charge when ever I wanted to go and to the airport when I left. All of the staff made me feel very welcomed they were all very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, breakfast very good. All in all I felt safe and comfortable. Great Place to Stay!!

    « Very Good-would stay again »

I have stayed at this hotel many times. It is convenient when flying out of Burlington and they provide parking (at a cost) and shuttle service to and from airport.. it is clean and provides a good breakfast

    « shuttle van »

desk clerks and hotel are excellent, No shuttle van to pick you up at the airport. Was told they ran every 15 minutes and I did not need to call upon my arrival for the van. So I didn't, waited 45 mintues finally ended up taking a taxi back to the Hotel to pick up my car. That cost me $15.00, The rate paid included free shuttle service to and from the airport.

« Nicely furnished rooms, a good option near the airport »

I liked the room with its nice wood floors and modern light wood furniture. It was well equipped with a fridge, microwave, and excellent t.v. The 24-hour airport shuttle service is very well-managed and a major plus for the hotel. Free breakfast was convenient, and the excellent Windjammer restaurant was a short walk outside the hotel. The problems I encountered dealt with noise, and I considered giving the hotel an average rarting because of it. Probably due to the wood floors, there was noise from people walking in the room above me. Also, the heating/cooling system seemed to recycle every few minutes even when I turned the heater to a very low temperature -- so there was frequent noise and blowing air that I found annoying. And several times I heard staff members outside my door talkng on a loud walkie-talkie system. On balance I liked the hotel and would have an open mind about staying here again despite the noise issues, especially because of the friendly staff and the excellent shuttle service.

    « Clean and Comfortable! »

What a wonderful stay! The beds were SOOOO comfortable. We LOVED it and want to go back!!!! Pool was clean, although our eyes burned horribly after we left. Breakfast was nice, nice choice of foods and they kept all foods refilled as needed.

Hotel is good value, well situated, easy to access the Medical Center and airport. Excellent complimentary breakfast with good hours to access. Staff is helpful, rooms bright, clean and well appointed.

    « Excellent Customer Service »

The staff were extremely helpful in setting me up for success for a gift for my family and I wouldn't have chosen any other folks to take care of their needs and accommodate them any better! Thank you to the very attentive staff and management that made this happen.

    « Best Western Pus »

Would recommend the Best Western Plus and would happily stay there again. Meal was great, the room was clean and updated, the bed slept amazing. it was close enough to the venue that the concert was in we were able to walk there and back saving us from drinking and driving.

    « Best hotel »

This was probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Not only was the staff nice and the rooms clean but the lobby was amazing. I was served fresh baked cookies and milk in front of a fire place after I returned from a long day! Thank you

« Good for a couple nights in the area. »

Stayed here for a couple nights after Christmas while exploring Burlington and Stowe. It was clean and conveniently located and a good price. The front desk service was friendly and the breakfast was decent, though no waffles. My only issue was that our room was very close to the elevator and it made a lot of noise randomly all night long. I would recommend staying here and would probably do so again but would ask to stay a distance away from the elevator.

« Birthday Party @ Best Wetern PLUS »

We had a group of 12, and I saved 6 rooms so we could all be together. We had a happy hour in our room and then went on to the Windjammer restaurant. We had this lovely banquet room to our selves and we were treated very well!! I'd do it again. Everyone with us had a great time.

    « Windjammer, Burlington, VT »

Our overnight stay at this Best Western Windjammer was very comfortable, quite pretty and had the amenities we were looking for -- including an indoor pool and gym, although we didn't use them this time. The restaurant was also excellent, with delicious food and great service. The salad bar has very fresh dishes and a broad selection of choices. My husband particularly liked the homestyle bread and fine cheeses. The entrees were perfect as well. Everyone we met did his/her best to make our experience very pleasant. We look forward to staying again next time we go to the Flynn Theater, to Shelburne Museum or to shop in Burlington. r

    « Pleasantly Surprised »

This first stay at the Best Western Plus. We felt very welcome, rooms were spotless, comfortable and staff was very attentive. We would return without hesitation. Close to UVM, short ride to Church Street.

« Very clean & nice staff, but small room »

My only complaint was the small room. I prioritize cleanliness over the size of the room any day, and this hotel, specifically my room, was really clean. The staff was really nice and the rooftop restaurant was very tasty (I got a delicious burger and my boyfriend raved about the vegetarian chickpea burger).

    4
« Fine overnight for early morning flight »

Had a 6AM flight at BTV so needed a place to sleep - well, nap - for the 4 or 5 hours before the flight. BW was perfect. Airport transfer was flawless, price was reasonable. Reserve shuttles early as things book up at the 4AM-5AM hours, when the airport check-in is busy.

    3
    « Hockey Tournament »

The room and staff were warm and pleasant. My only concern was that I did not end up being placed in the block where out hockey group were. My complaint was was met with defensiveness and not listening. I did't expect to have my room changed but I expected to be listened to and apologized to.

    4
    « Pretty nice! »

The hotel staff was excellent and friendly, our room was nicely decorated and very clean. Love the fact that there was no carpeting on the floor Didn't eat in restaurant. Got a great rate on Hotels.com. Just found it a little noisy. Could hear those above us walking around. And the heater turning on and off kept me up. You would think they could make those less noisy, but they are loud in every hotel I have ever stayed in, so not a bad reflection on this hotel.

    5
    « Always Accomodating »

I've always been able to call the hotel directly to arrange accomodations, select the rooms I've liked and get the necessary help I need when I'm in town. The property to always clean to spotless...The Windjammer Restaurant is terrrific and the manager there very helpful as well, especially when I've need orders to go...Getting high quality food is always the case at the Windjammer...Front desk personel are terrific, housekeeping kind and the accolades go on....

    « Plesant stay »

Quiet location off busy Rt 2 close to I 89 to with an on-site restaurant that served very good food. Good complimentary breakfast and wi-fi in the room. Friendly, helpful staff. All in all, a pleasant stay.

« Nice hotel in west burlington »

We stayed one night before taking the ferry from Burlington crossing Champlain lake. The hotels downtown were quite expansive, so we choose to stay a bit outside the city in west Burlington. The room was nice but small. The pool was close due to constructions (August 2015), we could go to the pool in a nearby hotel but it was too much of a trouble.

    5
    « Burlington's Best »

Quality experience always here at the Windjammer. Both the hotel and restaurant staff go above and beyond to make your stay convenient and enjoyable. Clean modern and comfortable rooms with the areas best restaurant. I found the location convenient to both the highway and airport. Absolutely will stay here again.

« Had to stay over night due to flight came in too late for ride to pick me up. »

The room was great. Didn't have a chance to really do anything other than sleep. There is a gas station with a store that is within walking distance and I am sure that the restaurant on the property is excellent, just didn't get to try it. There were plenty of vending machines options. I really enjoyed my stay.

    5
    « Great value »

The staff was friendly staff and the room clean. No complaints about the location. In fact, it's nice to be within walking distance to the Windjammer restaurant. The hotel breakfast was a step up from most continental breakfasts (although I do miss the waffle maker.)

A great place to stay and a very nice restaurant connected with it. Its called the Windjammer Restaurant. It's close to airport and shopping close by. Burlington is a pleasant and popular city with some find dining. Night life is available if you are so inclined. There is also Ski areas not far if that is your exercise. You can miss having a wonderful time. Views are also beautiful.

Comfy, clean, staff was very pleasant, very affordable and close to everything we needed. Nice cafe's, restaurant choices, shopping, hiking, site seeing, billiard and more! This was nice for couples' time off and will bring my 10yr old next time because there is plenty of things we would take her to around Burlington, Colchester, Milton and Shelburne.

    « Great Burlington Getaway »

My daughter and I stayed for the weekend while we were performing at the Flynn. The hotel was close, clean and well maintained. The indoor pool is beautiful and a nice treat on a cold winter day. Continental breakfast offers something for everyone. A very good value for the money.

    « Stay here »

First class. Beautiful bedroom and good bed. Everything was nice. The bathroom is very big and well done. The hotel is close, walking distance, to a lot of stores and places to go. The breakfast is good if not excellent but I'm fussy! I loved the location. It was close to the highways and easy to get around.

    « Convenient to Everything! »

Nice hotel, average size room, both room and hotel were very clean. The hotel does need more elevators! A big plus is it is close to the airport, also close to downtown Burlington, University of Vermont and hospitals. Reception staff was very helpful. We bought some local VT cheese to take to a friend and kept it in the refrigerator in our room, but keeping it cold to take home was going to be a problem. We had an insulated bag with small freezer packets but needed a place to freeze the packets. The people at Reception said they were happy to keep the packets in the freezer until we were ready to leave for the airport (which was 4am), there was no problem getting the freezer packets that morning. The hotel has a complimentary airport shuttle 24 hours a day - pick-up and drop off is upon request only. My husband used the service the evening before our flight to return our rental car to the airport, that saved us some time in the morning since we had a 6:30am flight. We took the shuttle the morning of our flight and didn't have to deal with returning a rental car! One night we ate at the Windjammer restaurant, which is connected to the hotel, it was nice to have a good restaurant we could walk to and not have to drive. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, is quieter than most restaurants, and the food was very good. I had the lobster tail which was excellent!! There is a salad bar with a large variety of choices. Service was friendly and efficient.

« Always vonvenient, but getting old. »

This place would need a good refresh up. Still very clean and comfy, but would need some ameliorations. Still very close to everything and mostly from the airport, but... Kitchen area is getting to small. Too many people at the same time in the morning. Also quality and choice of breakfast items have gone down a bit.

    « Very Pleased »

This hotel was wonderful. Upon check in we were greeted in a pleasant and professional manner. The rooms were clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The saltwater pool was just like bath water. They served warm cookies and milk each night at 8 in the lobby and the breakfast was fantastic.

    « nice stay »

The hotel is nice to stay at. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. We found it a little pricey but close to the hospital. The bed is comfortable and the Wi-Fi worked well. The pool is also very nice.

    « Would stay again !! »

I recently stayed 3 nights at the Windjammer. I was studying for the NCLEX nursing exam and spend 12-15 hours a day studying in my room. My only complaint (which they tried to resolve) was the desk chair. Not comfortable and too low. They brought me a pillow to sit on. Other than that, the room was nice, breakfast was good. Will stay again !! Loved calling down to the restaurant, placing my food order and them calling back the room phone to let me know it was ready. Worked out well?.I was not familiar with the area and did't want to venture out.

« Solid All Around - Excellent Location & Value »

This is well-located in South Burlington and a good value. The room I stayed in was a King Suite, well-furnished, with a fridge and a microwave, two HDTVs, and very fast wifi. The AC/Heat system was active in both rooms of the suite and brand new. The decor was lame but the rest of the room was obviously recently refurbished. The restaurant and pub next door are excellent. There is also a Starbucks next door if you need one, and a shopping mall a mile away. It is 3 miles from the airport and 3 miles from UVM. I would definitely stay here again.

« A nice hotel close to the University of Vermont »

We were welcomed to the hotel by nice desk staff and everyone seemed helpful. A great restaurant on site with a very good salad bar. My only criticism would be a kind of a noisy heater/air conditioner. It cycled on and off during the night.

    « Black Friday Shopong »

Nice place but check to see if there will be a boys youth team staying at the same time and let them know you don't want to be anywhere near them. The staff was nice about changing our room even though we had a pet, but if there is a youth team there, don't even think about the pool!

« Great place to stay in Burlington »

We spent two nights in this hotel for our weekend trip to Burlington. It is very clean and comfortable, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the location is fabulous. Breakfast was included, which made the experience even nicer. Room price was affordable. The only complaint was that room walls are thin so we could easily hear people walking down the hallway early in the morning. However, the location in general is quiet, so it's not really a big deal.

    « great value »

for the price and amenities this hotel is a great value and it's in a good, quiet, centrally located area. It's only a few minutes from downtown Burlington and from the airport. The adjacent restaurant offers a great variety of dishes and a good salad bar.

    5
« Great staff, great property »

They went above and beyond to make my stay an excellent one! Great room, great pub and restaurant, great value. The hotel manager went out of his way to greet me and make sure my stay was a greta one. I would stay again no questions asked.

« Clean, comfortable and the price is right! »

This was my second time staying at the Windjammer in S. Burlington, and liked it both times. Very reasonable rates, very attentive staff, nice breakfast buffet for guests, and great pub food. My friends told me that the big restaurant is quite good. I stayed in a junior suite with a rate of $65. We're not in NYC anymore, toto! Also, very well maintained, although a bit on the dated side.

    3
« Decent place but outdated decor and just fine rooms »

The rooms were ok, but not so spacious. The food was decent and nothing special. The service was good but not extra friendly. The only really bad thing you can say is that the hotel looked like it hasn't been renovated since the 80's. Overall, nice stay, especially for that price.

    5
    « Very nice stay »

This is a fantastic hotel - clean, neat rooms, helpful staff, and the free breakfast was quite good. We stayed here for a hockey tournament and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was conveniently located to everything we were doing in Burlington. Overall, amazing quality, especially for the price.

    3
    « Thin Walls »

Nice staff pleasant location, but hotel is built with very thin walls, floors and doors that provide little quiet in the room. Breakfast is standard fare, but kept warm and filled. Hotel able to accommodate full occupancy well.

    5
« Well thought out property »

We stayed two nights at the Windjammer to attend a family function. The room was pleasant and quiet. The front desk staff was very helpful. When I checked in I forgot to verify that I had asked for the AAA rate. I also had a Best Western gift card to deduct from the bill. I was able to take of both of these things very easily the next morning.

    5
    « Great option for a family »

I was in Burlington with our three adult children and wanted to all stay together. The suite at the Best Western Windjammer was perfect. We had space to sit together as well as separate sleeping options. The two bathrooms was a great bonus. The room was spacious, the furniture comfortable and a fridge for our wine.

    2
    « Not quiet »

We just needed an inexpensive place close to the airport and our son-in-law recommended this. However, the floors and walls were not built for good soundproofing and we could hear people walking above us, and the people in the rooms on either side of us. Otherwise it was fine for a close, inexpensive place

    5
« Excellent choice of Hotel »

every time I go to Burlington, Best Western Windjammer is my favorite. Staff is extremely kind and calm. Location, Location, Location. Near highways, easy to come in and out. Very quiet. A plus: the Windjammer restaurant for dinner is more than excellent. Service and food are very good and the $10 discount for this restaurant is very appreciated when you are a guest of the hotel. Great stay even for pleasure than business. Do not hesitate and book.

    « Excellent »

Nice clean hotel. Rooms are in great shape. Staff is very helpful and pleasant. The refrigerator and microwave were spotless. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise as were the chocolate chip cookies. About the only "complaint" would be......I wish the sign out front stood out better. If you are new to this hotel ..... keep a sharp lookout as there are a lot of signs and this one does not jump out at you.

    5
    « Weekend Getaway »

Best Western Windjammer Inn and Conference center is a great place to stay for business or pleasure. It's located near wonderful Restaurants and places to go shopping. It's also near UVM and a great place to bring family members for a weekend get away. One can enjoy swimming or going to the movies.

    « "Worst Western"........Not The Best !!! »

Spent one night in Burlington visiting UVM. Spent in night in the room listening to "heavy breathing" coming from a chest at the end of our very soft bed. Not good !! I am NOT spoofing!!! At Check Out in the AM learned from a very nice mainentence guy who explained the "noise" came from the refrigerator. no sleep....never to return to this Worst Western.....

    « Love the WindJammer »

This is the only place to stay in town...Service is warm and friendly and the bar they have is great too! Burlington now has Uber and for a little over $8 on way your downtown in minutes! I will not stay anywhere else in the area.

« Very good value; pets welcome »

This is the first time I stayed at a hotel with my dog, and I feared we would be seen as a liability. I was very pleased to find that the front desk staff welcomed us, admired my silly old dog, and made every effort to be sure we were comfortable and knew where everything was. They are prepared to monitor any problems and not allow your pet to disturb the other guests, which I also appreciate. Overall, this hotel is an excellent value, close to downtown, and has a good free breakfast and very nice restaurant on the premises. Very clean, with all the amenities you could need. My only complaint is that the room was not well sound-proofed from the hall noise.

    5
« A very comfortable place to stay »

From the start, our experience was excellent. We got the feeling that the staff really cared we were there. On check-in, we were greeted warmly and told our room was in a quiet location as we had requested. The room was very clean and well laid out. The bed was extremely comfortable which meant a great night's sleep! The only suggestion we would make is for the hotel to advise guests if a tour group is in house. Breakfast was fine the next morning, but it was very difficult to find a place to sit. Had we known a tour was staying there, we might have eaten a little earlier or later to get around the seating challenge. This would not deter us from staying here again, though. It is a very comfortable place to stay, close to the interstate and the University of Vermont and a short, easy drive to downtown Burlington and the waterfront.

« Good Hotel at the price point »

This is a nice, clean hotel located just off I89 in South Burlington - very convenient for travel. The room choices are somewhat limited (2 double or a queen) and on the small side, but well appointed and laid out. The continental breakfast was an appropriate start to the morning with a reasonable variety. The hotel is connected with the Windjammer Restaurant next door, which serves a good selection (variety and price) of food.

« Good value and good night's sleep. »

My wife and I stayed here one night. The place was clean, looked nice, didn't have any bad smells, and the room was quiet for a nice night's sleep. Didn't deal with staff much but they were friendly at check in & out. Breakfast was nice, with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, coffee, tea, muffins, french toast, and juices. The location was easy to get to from the interstates and made getting places easy. Overall it was nice reasonably priced. Would stay there again in the future.

    « Fall in VT »

I was in Vermont for my granddaughters first birthday. The early morning trip to the airport is made easy by staying the night before at the Best Western Plus Windjammer Inn and Conference Center. They are located close to the airport ,plus I always enjoy dinner in the Windjammer restaurant.

    « Ok but pricey. »

Paid $179 for a very average room. It was clean. I had to have heating unit replaced upon arrival as it was inop. It was done pleasantly and very quickly. The maintenance man was great. The real disappointment came after I was refused a late checkout because there were already 8 or 10 rooms that had requested the late check out. I was only asking for an hour. It was the first time I was ever refused late check out anyplace I had stayed, regardless of occupancy that night. The restaurant was very good as both service and food excelled.

This was a last minute reservation and I was happy to have found a room. I was pleasantly surprised by the accomodation at the Windjammer-nice, clean, spacious room; comfortable bed and excellent shower. The rug was a bit dirty but overall the room was clean.

    « Excellent....Excellent! »

This was the best stay I've experienced this year. Travelling extensively with my son for college/university options out West and on the East coast, we've stayed in many hotels and various chains etc. This particular trip I took my dogs...Vermont, leaves, walks.... The staff went over and above to accommodate my requests and the room we were assigned was the perfect location. I was able to take my dogs straight out of the room and hotel to walk without disturbing other guests and them not disturbing us! The rooms are fantastic - so simple, but everything included that you could possibly need - the TV along with the comfy bed and fixtures was excellent quality and all well thought out. Being tall, I really appreciated the accommodating shower heads! What I really noticed that set this location apart, was how quiet it was - it is just off the highway and less than a minute on to the main routes but you did not hear the traffic at all, it's tucked away at the back and allows you to think you are not just off the main drag like most of the other well know hotel brands were. As I drove into Burlington and saw the other hotels I was considering prior to booking this location, I was SO relieved when I drove to this Best Western and very much appreciated all they have done to create a perfect experience for their guests. The staff are so accommodating and helpful...and they really mean it too! The breakfast was fully stocked and had a good range to select from. I had the best nights sleep in a long time and I felt the value/experience I recieved for the price I paid was exceptional - and that is comparing it to all the other hotels we have stayed in this year. If you are looking at staying in the Burlington, Vermont area, and want to feel some space, quiet and yet a convenient location with a quality room full of all the desired required touches - this is the place to go. Great peaceful energy and all enhanced and encouraged by the wonderful staff. For the dog lovers on the road looking for the perfect place - this is it! You have immediate access to grass without having to worry about traffic or travelling to a 'grass area' (if you stay more in town...you will!). There are some trails over by the Sheraton Hotel called the Centiennial trails? I think....if you want to really take a local hike, this is the doggy place and then there is a dog park (that I didn't go to but is localish) call twin tails (two whale tails), I forget but they will know at the hotel reception if you ask and they will give you directions. Rooms are exceptional for easy access for your dogs to get in /out of car and into hotel - parking right by the exit doors. They even gave my dogs a bone and bag when we arrived - the bone was good quality too! or so my dogs told me as they ate them - fussy eaters!

    « What A Great Surprise »

Let me start with how friendly and nice all the staff were, it was lovely talking and doing business with them. The place was immaculate, from the lobby, to the halls to the rooms we stayed. Loved the cookies before bed, the fitness center and pools were great and the breakfast was kept full and clean. Only wished the restaurant was physically hooked to the hotel as it gets rather cold at night but the restaurant was delightful as well.

« Great interior and connected to Windjammer Restaurant »

Doors were like cardboard, anyone in hall way speaking normal tones could be heard in the rooms...every word, go figure. The interior was nice, lobby nice, buffet breakfast included was ok. Desk was slow checkin.

This hotel is in a great location, especially if visiting UVM. It's also easy access to the airport and major highways. Very comfortable and clean room. Great WiFi. Newly remodeled salt water pool, very nice.

The hotel is conveniently located to the University of Vermont, Champlain College and College of St. Michael's. The hotel offers park, sleep & fly for those individuals needing to get to Burlington Airport. We have been coming here for years. The staff is friendly and rooms are clean. They have upgraded the breakfast area to provide more seating. They removed make your own waffles : ( but have replaced it with scrambled eggs, mini cheese omelets, bacon/ham and French toast. They still serve warm chocolate chip cookies at 8PM and there's always a line waiting for them. The Windjammer Restaurant is just outside of the hotel. I would recommend this hotel.

Traveling up to Montreal, decided to stay overnight in Burlington, this place was perfect, the front desk were really helpful, as there were 3 of us they offered a double queen and the option of a fold away bed, this brought the cost of down to one room, Ideally placed to get downtown to enjoy the sites.

« fantastic stay in the Burlington area »

While we own our own motel in Vermont-it was time to come home for my daughter's wedding and find a place to stay for the weekend, Being a holiday weekend I wasn't sure what to expect for a room or service and was so pleased to have found the Best Western Plus Windjammer. From the time of my arrival and all the hassles of missing luggage from the airlines till our departure, the staff was courteous, fun , professional and attentive. Our rooms (suite) were perfect for my family and the service and attentiveness of the housekeeping staff is to be commended. Breakfast each morning was HOME COOKED vs the processed look and taste and the kitchen staff was excellent making sure their was always fresh, hot food available right up until the time it closed. Windjammer restaurant on the property is a huge plus and the location of this hotel is awesome. Courteous, helpful and cheerful staff made us feel right at home KUDO"S to this management team---YOU GOT IT RIGHT! in customer service..... I'll be back when I go back home to Burlington again!

    « Good Hotel »

Had two seperate nights at this hotel and were not disappointed. Check in staff were friendly and helpful, room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. As we had a night away inbetween our stays at this hotel we were allowed to leave our main cases at the hotel until we came back the next evening which was a great help.

« Great place to stay »

Stayed one night, mid-week. Very close and convenient from airport and car rental area. Comfy bed. Very quiet. Clean and well-appointed room, but compact. Breakfast had a lot of choices from cold to hot and in the evening there were fresh apples and cookies available. Staff were very friendly, pleasant and seemed to enjoy working with each other.

« Good value, average accommodations »

The price and location were right. Accommodations were worn. Lots of noise from dogs barking, children running, footsteps overhead (we were on the 1st floor). Breakfast was a challenge since there was a bus tour staying who took over the buffet & seating. Would have been nice for the management to let other patrons know when the tour was leaving so we could have timed our breakfast.

I do not usually give top grade reports across the board but this hotel offered everything and was the best I have stayed at. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out we had a great stay. Rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant was very good with great service. The breakfast was awesome. We stay at a lot of Best Westerns and I must say this is one of the best we have stayed at. Thank you to everyone

It worked for our purposes. Good location, and very clean. Just stayed one night before flying out the next day. Close to airport and rental car return. Priced reasonably compared to hotels in area. Close to shops, restaurants, etc.

Could not fault the hotel in any respect regarding cleanliness. Staff were polite & efficient but lacked the friendly manner we have got used to in US & Canada, Surprised that they didn't have an hot tub, the first BW that hasn't on our long vacation

Great place to stay when visiting University of Vermont. Close to campus and Burlington attractions. Clean rooms, price good compared to other area establishments. They do offer breakfast which is basic but good. Also in walking distance to Starbucks and Dunkin if you prefer.
