This has been one of the worst places to stay due to someone trying to break into vehicles .3 different alarms have went off at least 12 times in 3 hours!! The front desk said they haven't seen anyone on camera..we want to leave but they won't refund us to go elsewhere..we can't wait until daylight to leave! We are so scared here..we were working and thought it would be fun to stay the night for my birthday..not at all!!
This is an older hotel but you can tell they are doing some updating. The breakfast was not one of your better hotel breakfast. The front desk personnel were very pleasant and helpful. Another couple with us stayed in a different room and it took three rooms to find one that didn't have a horrible smell. Our room was adequate but the person that was next to us was sketchy . Smoked and drank all day outside our door. Threw his butts all over. Started his loud truck and would let it run ( (6:30am!) and the rev it up and turn it off. I would think management could have done something about this. It made me very uncomfortable. I'm will not be staying here again.
Facility was older but overall clean. Breakfast included more than I expected - not just a few muffins or packaged foods but also eggs, sausage, waffle maker, and yogurt machine. We wanted a place to stay the night after a late wedding instead of driving 1+ hours home. It fit the bill as a place to sleep, shower, and get some breakfast at a reasonable price.
Although the room wasn't the cleanest, it was quiet and safe. We often travel with our working K9ms and finding a hotel which allows large dogs can be difficult but not here, they were very welcoming to our dogs.
Location is very good-- close to Celebration Room size is very good- beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well (it was 95 degrees the week we were there!) Only issue was the floors-- left a black substance on our bare feet or socks-- like a film on the floors--need to be cleaned well.
Motel was nice, clean, relatively updated facilities but had everything you needed for a basic nights motel stay. Beds were comfortable and clean, towels and wash clothes available and clean. Shower fully functioning. Had a spider in the sink, washed it down but no other issues. Probably used cheap labor for remodel, as finishes weren't complete, but everything was sufficient. Was on the fence with all other reviews, surprisingly the area with such high end horses / $ has little hotel/motel options. I stay I hotels for work and personal frequently, would stay here again, but remember this isn't a JW, but you're also not paying a JW price rate.
There wasn't carpet & appeared to be trying to upgrade. But the bathroom was not clean. I cleaned it
We arrived snd two hand towels had stains on them.thst looked like someone had blown their nose on them. Front desk did apologize snd replace. Room bedding smelled like smoke (gross, because we're both non smokers). Parking lighting was exceptional, but the problem is there were no curtains in the room....only a shade that did a poor job of blocking the light. Lastly, it was very loud outside. Two people were talking and one was very loud (at almost midnight). While this can't always be avoided, the BIG ISSUE is when I went outside it was the guy from the front desk!!!! I told him it was late and he should keep it down. I don't know if he had a friend upstairs or not, but prior to me going out that went on for 30 minutes.
Did not sleep all night. After an insect ( not sure what it was) crawled on me. TV reception was poor. Our room was neglected. We have stayed at other very good best western hotels. This was the worst!!!
Worst hotels we have stayed in.Bugs in the room, bedsheets dirty. The manager was very unprofessional. Breakfast-bread had mold!!! Next time we will choose other locations that are close by. This property needs to be inspected.
We have stayed at this B/W several times and had no issues but the last stay may have us think if to stay here again. In the Breakfast room was moldy bread and the yogurt machine failed to work and some mornings no butter at all. And someone keep resetting the AC/Heater unit in our room.
Great hotel. Was clean and appearance in room was very nice. Bed was firm. Rooms were quiet. Very close to Calsonic arena/Celebration for horse shows. Did not utilize breakfast this go around but past was good for continental breakfast. Will definitely be staying again.
This was the worst Best Western we ever stayed at. First room phone inoperative, refrigerator noise, TV in operative. Switched rooms - no luggage rack, plug in sink didn't work, faucet didn't operate properly. New person that needed assistance getting us checked in, sleeping clerk at front desk at 8:45 in morning. Breakfast pancake machine out of mix. Just a terrible experience overall.
Rooms are dated and walls are very thin. We were able to clearly hear a conversation in the room next to us and they were NOT yelling. Additionally there was a homeless individual living in his vehicle in the parking lot by our room. I advised the staff and they related they were aware of it and had given the person 15 minutes to leave. He was there both days we were there.....
Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly staff. He was very helpful and was very accommodating. He made sure we were satisfied and had whatever we needed. Many good breakfast choices everything stayed full. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Definitely will be staying here next trip.
Breakfast was fresh and well prepared . Everyone was so friendly . It's great ,clean and safe place to stay Breakfast was well set up , with plenty of options . This is the nicest and cleanest best western we've ever stayed at Excellent job by my team
General Manager Matthew was very gracious when upon checking out we discussed several of our issues with him. Apparently people steal smoke detectors from the room so ours did not have one. He advised me they were in the middle of renovations and also searching for staff. The price was ok. Room was pretty clean. The breakfast did look good but we were in a hurry and didn't partake. Of the three hotels in town, this would be the one to pick (based on what I heard from people who stayed other places).
Hotel was clean, room was clean bed was comfortable. Room/hotel was quiet during night hours. It appears they are updating/renovating the rooms and common areas while we were there. Close to Celebration if there for a horse show. They do have a hot breakfast available.
They allowed us to check in early with our two young sons and upgraded us to a suit. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was good. Pool was warm and clean. Friendly staff and in a good area close to Kroger and gas stations.
This was just a stay while getting electrical work done at our residents. Primarily the price was reasonable ,but i was overcharged and my bank statement does not match my best western reciept. I never imagined this would occur from the bw
Room reeked of mildew from water damage. AC loudly rattled like a truck idling. Room was cool but humid. Pillows were lumpy. No in-room safety or courtesy information (fire plan, address, how to work tv/dial desk). Bathtub faucet drips constantly. I did not get any sleep at all, and I'm someone who can sleep about anywhere. Avoid if you have allergies or asthma.
We were heading down to Florida and chose to stay here for a night on our trip. The staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful. They gave us several options for restaurants in the area. The room was clean and we had no problems with the Internet. There were some hot items such as eggs, sausage, biscuits and coffee along with danishes and cereals for breakfast.
The hotel was very nice; staff was friendly, professional and helpful; rooms were clean and comfortable; the hot breakfast was excellent, and nice pool. I would certainly recommend this hotel. Housekeeping staff was always smiling. The stay was excellent.
A pleasant surprise. I traveled for work for years back in my day, and I've paid nearly double for worse accommodations. This spot was clean, staff: friendly, breakfast: decent. The internet was the fastest I've seen. All in all, solid.
The room key would not work, if we left the room we had to get the front desk to let us back in our room each time, the TV did not work, we had to get a staff member to fix the TV on more than one occasion, we ended up leaving the TV on one station the whole time we were in the room, the bathroom was quite large, with no table to put anything on, like a towel or clothes while you were showering, the toilet was not securely bolted to the floor and rocked when you sat down
Great and very friendly staff that went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Very clean rooms and well maintained property. Would definitely recommend staying at this property to anyone visiting Shelbyville.
Very clean hotel. Breakfast was great and the staff were helpful and friendly. It's an older hotel with doors that open to the outside instead of a central hallway but it is a very safe place to stay. I would recommend to anyone for any type of trip.
When I booked the room on the website the hotel looks great but when we got there my check and went well but then we went to the room it smelled when you open the door because even though it says no smoking they let people smoke in the rooms the refrigerator in the room defrosting and leaking all over the floor how to use bath towels to soak it up, the room was dirty hair and the bathtub the hot water ran in the bath tub and I am not talking about a little drip of water it was literally running on low and would not turn off we couldn't even get a good night's sleep because you can hear the water running in the bathroom all night long. Over the air conditioner from the water running and steaming up the bathroom the bathroom was always moist and wet you were slipping and sliding I let the front desk know all of these issues the first night I was there they told me they would send someone to fix it never did they never offered me a new room or even offer me a discount maybe that would have made things better I was visiting family and trying to find a hotel to stay at when we come visit them I thought this would be the one but I guess not we stay at hotels quite often throughout the year because we have family all over Tennessee Florida Texas Ohio Georgia because of the experience we had at this Best Western I probably won't stay there again terrible customer service it was like they didn't care that I was going to be leaving unhappy
I agree with previous reviews that this hotel is not clean. Our first room had blood droplets on the bed as if someone had sneezed blood in the bed. Our second room was questionable. The floor doesn't appear to be cleaned. Our feet were black after walking across the room barefoot. You can see dirt and stuff all over the floor. Another thing that I didn't like was that the external door didn't seal. There was a large gap at the bottom so any bugs or rodents could get in at any time. The breakfast area was also just dirty. The walls were dirty with large cobwebs next to the tables you eat at. I'm not that picky, I just want a clean place to stay. I want to feel confident the bedding was washed and the surfaces were cleaned (especially during covid). This hotel did not meet that expectation. Also, this place is just loud. Between hearing your neighbors, cars starting, and the staff good luck getting a restful night of sleep.
The moderately priced hotel was a good value for travelers. The property was clean, accessible to local sites, restaurants, etc. The self-serve breakfast had a good variety of breakfast foods. The staff was personable and helpful.
The room was unclean and it an odor to it. The room had spider web and there was a couple of spider in the bathtub tub. All the pictures on their website wasn't of their hotel. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. I will NOT stay at this hotel again
Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly, price was reasonable. We had a horse trailer & there was plenty of parking, although it was not peak season. Would stay there again if I am ever that way again.
Told numerous times that this was a non smoking hotel. Walked into 1st room & the smoke odor immediately knocked us back, changed rooms & urine smell & dust was terrible, fridge did not work. Nice staff.
My family and I made a reservation for this hotel because we were attending a basketball tournament and this hotel was one of the few that still had availability and was centrally located. We checked in on Friday night 3/26. We had a reservation for a king suite room with a separate living room that had a pull out sofa. The pros: The hotel was in a great location for the tournament which was held at various schools in the area. We were looking for that so we wouldn't have to wake up too early or have a long drive. The suite was huge! Living room was the first room you walk into and the bedroom all the way in the back. The place was also nice and quiet. Customer service was good. The staff listened to our questions/complaints and tried to resolve the issues. Also, it looks like the hotel may be getting renovated, however I just read a review for this hotel on Tripadvisor dated 2017 and it indicated they were being renovated at that time. I don't know how long the renovation is taking but clearly they need to complete it. The cons: We didn't realize that this suite was a drive up room. My kids said it reminded them of the movie "Diary of a Wimpy Kid". Our suite was in a one story building that you literally park your car in front of your room door. That may be ok for some, personally I just wish I knew that ahead of time. The other side of the hotel had two stories so there were rooms on either floor but those were for standard rooms not suites. The suite we stayed in looked like it was in conflict. Old outdated side tables, chair, lamps, microwave, beat up walls, broken outlets, blown light bulbs but new flooring, new shower, and newish pullout sofa. The king bed was squeaky and every time we moved it made loud noises. We were pointedly told at check in no smoking but our room reeked of cigarette smoke and there were ashes and paint stains in our kitchenette sink. We immediately went back to the main building to try to switch rooms and was told there were no other available rooms. They apologized and said that they had someone working on the room and clearly the person was not "trust worthy". That explained the cigarette ashes and smell but not the dust, spider webs, not working lights, dilapidated furniture, etc. Towels were dingy and the tub had a slow drain. Breakfast consisted of muffins and Belvita biscuits. We went to iron our clothes in the morning but the ironing board had no cover on it. It was just a metal ironing board frame. We ironed our clothes on the bed instead. I don't know who in the right mind in management thought that this room was suitable for guests, let alone charge $162 per night for the pleasure of staying there. We stayed the night because we had no other choice, however we cancelled our reservation for the remainder of our stay and ended up staying elsewhere. Never again Best Western Shelbyville!
The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. Those are the only pros.. Dusty headboard, cobwebs on coffee table, shower water never got hotter than lukewarm, the TV remote needed reprogramming, and their were dead bugs on the AC unit.
service was great, the room had new décor, very clean with vinly/ceramic flooring. The beds were wonderful. My friend actually wrote down the name of the mattress so she could check out purchasing one
The bathroom was not cleaned after the guests before my stay, and there was hair in the sink, on the toilet seat, and the inside of the toilet bowl was dirty. It took 3 days for the hotel staff to come in to clean the bathroom. I finally gave up and wiped the bathroom down with Clorox wipes. The bathtub faucet was broken, so I had no hot water in the shower or tub. I had to to shower and wash my hair in lukewarm water. I found a pair of sweat pants from a previous guest in the dresser drawers. The suite was large and spacious. If the bathroom had been cleaned and the faucet fixed, this would have been a nice hotel.
Spacious and clean room, plenty of clean towels, nice bed. Great that it was pet-friendly and I had a pleasant stay with my pet. Only negative thing I have to say is they had an extremely limited breakfast menu (cookies and muffins).
customer service is really bad they still money they charge your credit card without u attorizing it they threaten to call police just to get away their rooms are dirty daughter found drugs used condoms and trash its dusty has hairs and someone that had covid was at best western I beat they don't disinfect wouldn't recommend no one to stay their u could catch covid dirty my
To start off, I had to wait 20 minutes to check in. There was no one at the front desk. My wife and I searched the grounds, and never did find anyone, but someone finally showed up after a 20 minute wait. I almost called the police expecting foul play. Upon someone arriving to check us in, there was no mention of "I'm sorry for your wait", no offer of extra points for the wait, no offer of a reduction due to the wait. Nothing. For the room, at best it was a 1980 version of a Day's Inn. Mold around the bathtub, noisy heater, faulty wiring to the bedroom lamp, refrigerator could not open due to a strip of wood along the bottom of the cabinet, microwave was about 8 inches off the floor, pool was not open, although on the web site it was advertised as being open. No breakfast, and no offer of the bag to go breakfast. To top it off, the vent in the bathroom was a conduit for music blasting from another room at 2:30 in the morning. I can only assume that Best Western has decided to cater to the lower budget motel visitors, instead of trying to cater to those that appreciate a good night's stay in a clean environment. Do not stay here. We booked because we had a pet with us. If you have a pet, look elsewhere for a room. This one is not worth the value.
Our room was clean and the employees helped us check in early. I appreciated that because we drove 9 hours to get there any I just wanted to take a nap. The front desk person was very accommodating and our cleaning lady got the room ready REALLY FAST.
Check in/ out was pleasant enough and that's about all the positive things I can say about this establishment. Room had 4 lamps, a clock and TV all of which were unplugged. Had to plug in the cable box (about 3 more wires) on the TV to get basic channels, but before it would work I needed to call the front desk to get the Direct TV code. Took about 20 minutes to get basic TV from start to finish. Sink had an acrylic nail in the drain and a random metal plug just sitting in the sink. Toilet had dried urine on the seat, lighting in bathroom was like a dungeon. For $200/ night I will not stay at this hotel again for the TWHNC.
We just happened to see Best Western and pulled in to see if they had any availability. Crystal at the front desk was so nice, welcoming, and helpful!!! She got us a room quickly and we were in and relaxing in the lovely room in No Time! First time staying here, but will definitely not be the last!!!
It was a great experience staying with them!! Definitely would book again when visiting Shelbyville. Front-desk staff was super friendly. Housekeepers were quite clean with their work. Comfortable stay would surely recommend.
Very friendly staff, always helpful! they have fantastic beds, definitely the best nights sleep we've had over all the other hotels we stay at! And nice to find a pet friendly hotel! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area.
employees friendly and hskp.was very helpful... had a few days off so decided to take a day or two just to relax and rest... the employees all understood and was very helpful in helping me to achieve just some quiet time alone... thanks to them all.
I rented three rooms the night before the children from our church had bible quizzing on Saturday. The kids enjoyed the heated pool before and after dinner! The rooms were clean and the hostess was polite and very helpful.
This hotel was great for what we were needing. The staff was very helpful and made sure to accomadate all our needs. I will definitely stay here again when i come back to Shelbyville. Our check-in and check-out process was very quick and easy.
Title speaks for itself. They are making me write 200 characters here! OK, one black washcloth to go with ragged white towels. Was a very aging property with no elevator. Misimformed about breakfast times so missed it. Staff very helpful and accomodating to compensate for the deficiencies, but desk clerk unreachable two calls and found him ourside texting, etc.
Cleanliness is top notch, staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, Evan the general manager goes out of his way to make sure anything you may need is taken care of. If ever in the area on business or pleasure stop in and stay you will be well taken care of.
No breakfast, employee didn't show up for work. No one else called or could help out? Barking dog left alone in room even though we were told it was a service dog? Not allowed to sit in breakfast room to play cards in the evening with one other couple. No apologies for any of it. Said she couldn't do anything about it. No credit applied to our bill either.
Room was clean, hotel was quite, and beds were comfortable, Wi-Fi worked great, breakfast was okay really couldn't ask for anything else. Hotel directly in town so plenty of options for food and stores.
I requested and received a handicapped accessible room. It was well-appointed and thoughtfully furnished. The bathroom was spacious and had many grab bars. Housekeeping was thorough and high-quality. Breakfast was typical but adequate. Quiet, good security. I will definitely stay here again.
Bed was still dirty from previous visit with crumbs in the sheets along with strands of hair. We told the front desk and they blamed it on having new maids but did not try to see how they could make it our situation better. Didnt show any concern.
I had a horrible experience (vandalism) at a different hotel chain near Nashville the night before so this review may be biased. Several factors at the Shelbyville Best Western made my stay a positive experience, such as: professionalism, cleanliness, affordability, safety, and comfort. Marlene was extremely professional and helpful and addressed all concerns I had. My friend commented that staying at Best Western (as compared to the other hotel) made her feel safe and secure and I agreed!
The smell in in the room was disgusting, enough that I couldn't sleep. The pillows smelled like cigarettes, perhaps a fumigation would help the matter. Person at front desk was nice and the reason we booked. I do not recommend staying here.
Staff was rude, unprofessional and abusive. Suite was not cleaned either of the 2 days of our stay; after returning to the room in the evenings the front desk staff had to bring clean towels & supplies
This motel was very close to the Calsonic Center where we had events all weekend. We stayed in the motel from Thursday to Sunday. When we checked in, the moldy smell in the room was overwhelming. I didn't sleep well that night because the smell was so bad. We checked in late and I didn't go to the front desk that night thinking the smell would dissipate as we ran the air conditioner through the night. The next morning, I told the front desk clerk about the smell in the room. The attendant laughed and said he'd have room service check into it. He reported there were no other rooms available to move us into. When we returned to the room that evening, the smell was no better and did not get any better throughout our stay. I believe this room has black mold growing under the tiles and should be off limits to the public. I will be calling the health department tomorrow to report it. Thank goodness we didn't have to spend too much time in the room. We were busy early in the morning until late at night. Also, parking is terrible. It's difficult to get a parking spot near your room which doesn't help in loading and Unloading your vehicle. Room service didn't refill coffee or cups, which sent my husband over the edge with the stay here. We left as soon as we could this morning.
I was skeptical about staying at the Best Western because of the first reviews I saw were not good. But I stuck to the booking just because I know you can't always go by the bad reviews and all hotels can be good or bad for anyone. But turns out the hotel we stayed out couldn't have been better. Check in and check out was a breeze and our room was very neat and clean and equipped with all that we needed. Took the kids for a swim in the pool and they enjoyed it and it appeared very clean as well with towels stocked there for when they got out. Definitely recommend staying here!
Firstly, let me say that the front desk attendants were very pleasant and helpful. However the room was not what I had expected. When we first walked in it had a very stale odor, like no one had been in that room for days, but after running the A/C for about 30 minutes, the smell dissipated. Next, the desk chair was missing a wheel. Thankfully we had gotten a suite that had a couch, so the chair wasn't a big deal. The bathroom door didn't shut all the way and when you have three kids and have to stand guard at the door to keep anyone from entering, let me tell you it gets old, fast. Lastly, the tile in the pool was chipped and cracked but the water was nice and warm.
The room had a very strong cat spray odor. It was somewhat clean. Would not stay there or recommend it. It was to late to cancel our reservation and find another place, we won't be back. Very disappointing.
I was concerned about staying here after reading some of the reviews. I swear I think some people are rating a hotel they were never at!! This was the cleanest, nicest place we stayed in on our entire 13 day trip! The room was recently remodeled, the tub was done in granite with tile all around so it won't rot out easily. The shower was excellent. Clean tile floor and new carpet. Bed was very comfortable and the internet was good for what we needed to do.
So I was unfortunate enough to book a room at the Best Western in Shelbyville, TN. I had reservations but I was told that I entered my phone number incorrectly...no problem, here is the correct number. Now the real fun started...the lady behind the counter asked me for a credit card to pay for the room. Again, no problem...here is my AmEx card. Card was rejected. Since I know better, I asked her to run it again. After 25 minutes of the lady behind the front desk telling me "your card is no good". I asked her what other card she wanted to try since I have all the major ones. I realized she was having problems with the credit card system so I thought I would help by offering her a card that she may be more familiar with...this appears that be a hot-button in Shelbyville, TN. While I turned around to look at the news that was playing on one of their two lobby televisions, she SLAMMED her hand on the counter and screamed "LOOK, I'M TRYING TO BE NICE TO YOU BUT I DON'T HAVE TOO!" I thought she was joking with me so I smiled at her strange sense of humor. I was wrong...she was incredibly mad at me because she could not charge me for the room. She continued screaming at me "I DON'T HAVE TO GIVE YOU A ROOM, YOU CAN GET OUT OF HERE!". This is when I realized she was seriously angry. I then got defensive and told her that I was getting tired of standing here while she kept charging my credit card. Oh, I forgot to mention this...I could see the charges hitting my AmEx account on my cell phone but she didn't believe me. Anyway...after me telling her that I was getting tired of waiting and that I was trying to give her another form of payment to make things easier, she told me again "I DON"T HAVE TO GIVE YOU A ROOM, YOU CAN JUST GET OUT OF HERE!" I told her that this was fine with me and I booked a room at the Microtel that was 6 minutes down the road. I cannot comment on the cleanliness of the rooms since I never made it that far but I can inform you of this. When I first arrived in the lobby she pulled up my reservation to see if the room was ready. When she returned from the hallway I asked "are we all set on the room?". She told me "at least it smells better". Again, I travel a lot on business and I can honestly say that I have never experienced something like that before. It was so surreal that it made me laugh while I was on my way to the Microtel. I kind of want people to check this place out to see if it was me or if this was just a case of an employee having a horrible day. We have stayed at this hotel twice and each time we had a delightful stay. Clean, friendly, convenient. We love the horse decor. We will stay each time we need go to Shelbyville or the middle Tennessee area.
This hotel is a lot better than in the past when I have stayed there. Breakfast eggs could have been better , internet didn't always work, snack machines needed to be stocked but what did it for me was the girl who checked me in she was probable the BEST check in person EVER. She was kind funny friendly helpful and humble …. she was wonderful !!!!
The room was great, clean and roomy. The staff treated me like family. Which means a lot to me as I miss mine while I'm away from home. The hot breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I hotel is so centrally located that all my work was done in just a few miles. Thanks Again Best Western
While we stayed only one night with these fine Folks, they made our visit most enjoyable. ALL the staff were wonderful and most helpful to us. The cleaning staff are all long time (years) employees that do an excellent job; quite extraordinary! Like staying with family. This is our choice in Shelbyville from today on. Thank you Guys!
1 of the hotels boilers was out, hotel knew about it and a week later hasn't fixed it. They knew this would impact guests in the rooms furthest from the office but didn't fix it. Seriously, they don't care about their guests. I complained at the front desk, finally got the person there to give me a credit. I was credited $25 off the bill. Really? I think the value of a hot shower is worth more than $25. My entire cost should have been comped.
Since I needed to check in earlier than 4 pm, I called and requested and early check in Not only did they accommodate my early check in, they called to let me know it was going to be ready early. Normally I'm not fond of hotels with entrances to the rooms on the outside, but this one worked fine for my one night stay. It was clean, it had good amenities such as refrigerator and microwaves in the rooms as well as coffee maker and large flat screen TV and wi-fi. I didn't have any noise issues and the bed was comfortable as well. My only complaint was the lack of parking, and I had to park my car far away from my room when I returned for the evening. I had to move my car in the morning to bring down my luggage.
We stayed at the Celebration Inn for 12 days and had a wonderful experience. I'm not sure why there are any negative reviews - the staff, room and breakfast were wonderful. Any questions or concerns we had were IMMEDIATELY taken care of. Room was cleaned thoroughly every day and always smelled wonderful when we came back. We were happy there and have already booked for the same time next year!
The room was well furnished, modern and clean with a large flat panel TV that we expect now. Adjacent restaurant options were limited but the Legends of Shelbyville steakhouse a few miles away was excellent.
In my opinion this is the best place you could stay in Shelbyville Tennessee. It's proximity to the celebration grounds is excellent it's a fairly well priced hotel that is clean . Breakfast is decent and they offer fast Internet and DIRECTV . I would recommend requesting one of the suites as they offer a little bit more of a comfortable stay .
We stayed here for a family wedding. The rooms were nice, the pool was adequate, and the breakfast was adequate. My disappointment was in the staff. They really were confused with the rooms that were reserved for the wedding. Several members of my family had to speak to managers. I was called to come down at midnight to have extra family stay with me, because they had given their room to someone else. It was frustrating.
The rating and also the photos are deceiving for this hotel. It has a HORRIBLE cock roach problem and the rooms are gross. We are diamond members and we're told at check in that this property doesn't participate in the program? The diamond thing is the least of the concerns. We prepaid for room and couldn't get out of our reservation so we took all our luggage to the car because we killed multiple cockroaches on the walls. Spoke with staff and they were extremely rude about everything. The pictures of the rooms are NOT the same as what you get also. Do yourself a huge favor and don't book here.
We had to travel to Shelbyville for an unexpected funeral. Booked a room online. Arrived late in the evening after a long day expecting to just get a good night's sleep. After killing a cockroach on the wall, finding no toiletries, other than a single shampoo, and dealing with a sink that wouldn't drain properly, we finally got some rest. It was too late to call and complain and we checked out early the next morning. So my advice is to arrive early enough to check out the room! And, for price of the room, I expected more. We could have stayed in a less expensive hotel but chose Best Western because of their usual standard of quality. Won't stay there again.
Everything was great except there weren't staff that cleaned the rooms. I called the front desk wondering why my room hadnt been touched. They claimed the person had called out sick that morning. I informed them that I stayed for 3 nights and none of the nights had it been cleaned.
In our first room, the sink was clogged and the toilet did not flush properly. When we complained, they told us that they had offered us to move, (which they did not). Our second room was a smoking room which we did not take. In our third room, the toilet rocked back and forth and the bathtub in the room above ours was leaking thru the ceiling in our bathtub.
If you travelling the backroads of Tennessee this is a great place to kick back for a evening. Great breakfast. Pet friendly. Great staff. Makes a great stay. Tons of local attractions. Maybe next time make this home base for a couple days of touring.
Recently remodeled. Clean hotel. Outside corridors. The toilet in our room was loose. Wobbled when you sat on it. Little bit of what appeared to be water damage on new hardwood floor around toilet. Shower drained slow. This hotel was convenient to our event with a good price on Priceline express deals. I might try a different hotel the next time I stay here. Also was disappointed with breakfast ending at 9am on a Friday.
We we're moved to three different rooms! First room smelled ransid with cupboard floor inderneath the refrigerator rotted. Second room the air conditioning unit kept quitting, the bathroom light didn't work and was Unable to be changed, and the carpet was dirty. Third room had a few loose tiles on the bathroom floor. Staff was wonderful in assisting and accommodating immediatly.
Room was renovated but not well done on easy parts. Bad paint job, mildew all around tub and then caulked over. Tub didn't drain. Breakfast about as good as any other hotel breakfast. Very clean breakfast area. Bed comfortable and staff was very friendly.
Rooms was nice but when I went clean up some milk my grandson spilled there was dirt on the towel, breakfast eggs and sausage tasted microwaved other than that everything was good Front desk was helpful and nice!
See review below. Young lady at the front desk was great. She helped me fix the phone. I moved the bed for her and we changed a wire going to the phone. Breakfast was fair, not a lot of taste or quality. Over all fair.
1. Lobby and breaksfast has been updated. Nice and inviting. 2. The breakfast has everything you want ...cold cereal, hot cereal, pancakes, muffins, sausage, yogurt etc.. 3. Staff at the front desk was friendly. Housekeeping staff were rude. The day if check out, the maid just walked in, stated I should have had a sign not to DISTURB. Did not apologize. 4. I was preparing to take a shower, and I looked down to filth. The shower curtain was moldy. The surround on the tube needed did be clean and molding redone. 5. The room was decorated nicely, the carpet could use a cleaning but otherwise no other concerns.
Service was great. Prices were affordable. They recently remodeled, which is nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable one I've ever slept on in a hotel. Highly recommended.
We liked it, would book again. In door pool, breakfast,?wifi, cable, microwave, safe and frig included. Events in area. The person on Staff very personable and helpful. This hotel is in and surrounded by a few small towns that make a relaxing and different kind of time away from home.
Needed to stay in the area near Shelbyville and found this hotel. It was a very convenient location for our activities in the area, and was one of the nicer mid sized BW we have stayed in. All the staff was exceptional, room clean and comfortable and decent size, good breakfast every day,. Will definitely stay here if my future plans allow my return to the area.
We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago and there was gross stains on the floor, the bathroom wasn't cleaned, the fridge didn't work and there were weird splatters on the headboard. The front desk clerk was very nice though. With all this aside we tried to call in advance to make reservations for another stay during an event and were told we could not make reservations unless we agreed to stay for the entire 2 weeks of the event and that the rooms would not be free to book for shorter stays until closer to the event. The rates are also doubled during this time! Very bad business ethics! We had decided to join the Best Western Rewards Program and start trying to use Best Western wherever we stay but it looks like that won't be happening!
there room was dirty the pool made my kids sick with all the chemicals and the breakfast was not so good either. we found 7 spiders in our room and molded food under a pull out bed . it had mot been cleaned in a while.
Hit or miss, although this hotel has done a lot of repairs, it is hit or miss on quality of room. Stayed in June 2017 got a room that looked new, this stay looked like one of their older rooms and was dirty!
My wife and I stayed here on the Sunday night before the eclipse on our way to McMinnville, TN. The young lady at the front desk who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. When we reached the room - found TV on and AC on ready for us. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. If we are in the area again, we will certainly consider staying there again.
Good value for price. Not super keen on outward facing rooms but not bad. Breakfast was nothing special. Facilities were reasonable. Room was generally clean but there were footprints on the bedskirt and the toilet was not as thoroughly cleaned as I would like. Overall a good value.
While our 2-queen-bed suite with sofabed was incredibly spacious with supremely comfortable beds (including the sofabed), microwave, mini-fridge and an awesome shower, we won't be coming back to this hotel. Here are a few highlights of why we won't return the next time we're in the area. -I didn't feel safe in the neighborhood. -I now have bed bug bites on my legs after my two-night stay. -We had to call the front desk twice upon our arrival. One issue was that the water had been turned off and we couldn't even flush the toilet and the second was that neither TV would turn on. I did not complain about the musty odor of the room or the noise. -The complimentary breakfast left much to be desired. We arrived for breakfast at 9 a.m. on day one of our two-day stay and Sherry, the attendant, refused to bring out more waffle batter because breakfast ended at 10 a.m. When I politely told her that I'd have to speak with the manager about the situation, she smugly told me that her son is the manager and she won't put out any more food after 9:30 a.m. because she'd just have to throw it away at 10 a.m. My family was so excited that we were staying someplace with fresh waffles for breakfast and while we were dreadfully disappointed about the waffles, we were all appalled by Sherry's lack of service, treatment of guests and stunned by her blatant attitude about the nepotism practiced at this property. -The next day we checked out at 5:55 a.m. and the front desk staff person apologized that they couldn't let me into the breakfast room to get a glass of orange juice for my 77-year-old father because they'd get into trouble for letting someone in before 6 a.m. -They didn't have any available pillows for the sofabed so we had to share the pillows from the queen sized beds. -The "smoking patio" was a slab of concrete. There wasn't any place for my father to sit down or any ashtray.
The room was very dirty and lots of things broke in the room and the stuff was very rude and very I'm helpful. My mother had to call customer service an investigation is going on so I wouldn't ever stay here again I would pay twice as much before I ever stay here again
We were at Americas best value inn and after three hours decided to move hotels thankfully we ended up at this one and it was absolutely wonderful. Very clean and beds were so comfortable! Only issue was our fridge did not work and the towel rack was down in the bathroom. We had two non smoking rooms but from workers and guest smoking the smoke did come into our room at times and that was horrible, but from the first hotel it was a million steps up! Wifi also worked very well. I would like to say the breakfast was amazing and the attendant Sherri did wonderful at keeping everything stocked and well cleaned even though it was very busy. She was very sweet and helpful! Thank you Sherri. The pool was small but fun and warm! Thank you best western for making our stay better! Very pleased.
Indoor pool was nice it was heated and salted which was relaxing, breakfast was excellent the attendant was very good, room was cozy and quiet, friendly service, internet was fast. Plenty of parking, the new lobby looks excellent
This was a very clean and comfortable place. There was no noise and the rooms are clean. The check in staff was great and internet service was quick. I highly recommend this place to anyone. It is close to man amenities.
Everyone was extremely nice, especially the nice lady that services the breakfast area! The lobby is newly remodeled and looked fantastic. The rooms were comfy and everything was spotless! Will definitely stay here again.
It's always a little scary to find a hotel in a town you have never been to before. I always trust Best Western hotels. This hotel is either brand new or newly renovated. The rooms are very nice and clean. The beds are very comfortable and the towels are soft. The pool and workout room were also very nice and my kids loved swimming. The breakfast in the morning has something for everyone. I have food allergies and it can be hard for me to find something I can eat most times. Everything was fresh and stocked. Everything was clean and the staff was very nice. I would recommend staying here.
Recently stayed here for a one night stay while seeing a friend perform in the area. Very good hotel for the prices, room was clean for the most part, comfortable, and spacious. Staff was very friendly & accommodating. Plenty of places within minutes of the hotel for food, groceries, or whatnot. Definitely would stay here again whenever in town!
Great place to stay and very affordable with all of the conveniences to give you that Southern Hospitality feeling at a reasonable price. I stay in Shelbyville Best Western anytime my business brings me within 50 miles of town. Come on down or bring it on up. You will enjoy your stay at Best Western in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
Everyone at this hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. The check in gal helped with restaurants and the gentlemen in the morning helped with directions, etc. The rooms were clean and it is located in a very nice area.
I was "bumped" to a smoking room because I "made my reservation through a third party." Please tell me when making your reservation as a rewards member on the Best Western website is a third party reservation? I stay with Best Western because they are primarily independently owned, and as a business owner I want to support other business owners. A staff member walked me to the room and upon opening the door said; "Oh my, this room really smells like smoke, and I'm a smoker." So just imagine how the room smells to a non-smoking adult with Asthma? It was disgusting, but all the hotels were booked. My clothes for the next three day smelled like smoke! They did give me a non-smoking room for the next two nights. However, upon leaving I found out that they charged me $10 more for the disgusting smoking room. I was told they would check with the owner and call me back the next day. Guess what? No one called me back. Make sure if you stay here you call them directly if you want a non-smoking room. There pool is nice if your interested in that.
This facility is conveniently located close to Calsonic Arena. It was very nice to be able to be close to your horses, tack, trailer and equipment - just in case. Will stay here again should we come back next year.
All my family live within 20 minutes to this location. Usually we travel to see one family member at a time. We decided with two birthdays and Father's Day all the same weekend to get a room for Friday & Saturday night. We enjoyed our room to the max. Not a single complaint about it. We love the fact the are pet friendly and the pet policy is reasonable and not strict. Check-out was at noon. This was perfect considering we were attending church with my dad. We were able to leave our fur baby in a cool comfortable room while we worshipped. Very clean. Everything in top working order. Especially loved the rain shower head. Everyone we encountered was very family. We are already planning to do this again at Christmas.
We needed a place for our trip to Bonnaroo and this motel was perfect. The distance to the festival was decent and getting to Bonnaroo was easy from this location. They offer a nice little breakfast to get your day going. While the carpet in our room needed some deep cleaning, you could tell there was a serious effort taking place to renovate. The staff was friendly and the overall setting was convenient for around town and beyond. Not sure if we'll ever be in that neck of the woods again, but if we are, this is a nice little motel to stay at.
The sink has new fixture that were nice but the drainage was bad. When running water just to wash hands, the bowl fills up. Took 3-5 mins to drain. I checked in on Thursday, reported problem Friday and repaired Monday evening. Which I checked out Tuesday. Also during my Thur - Tuesday stay, room was cleaned 3 times. Had to retrieve fresh towel each time I reported to front desk.
Everything was as expected! No complaints, well, except that the "free" breakfast could be better quality. But, it's "free", so can't expect top quality. Nice rooms, desk clerk gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner, everyone was extremely friendly!
My first choice when going to Shelbyville, the most comfortable beds. The remodeling job was great. Love the rain shower head. The service was excellent, any problems were quickly resolved. Rooms were very clean
Quiet, Quaint, good location, friendly staff, with a decent continental breakfast. Nice exercise room and inside pool occupied in the evening with some pretty loud kids ( you only hear them in the pool and exercise room.)
Quaint location! Great service and friendly staff! I will be returning to the hotel when i am back in town. The hotel is very clean and i appreciate all the hospitality that the hotel had to offer. I would recommend this place to my friends and family
We came to this Hotel to spend the weekend with our Grandkids, we specifically looked for a hotel with a swimming pool which was under construction, they offered us a reimbursement for a rec center nearby but that was very inconvenient for us since we couldn't use it on our terms, the carpet in the room was pulled away from the wall and there was mold on the wall, the bars in the fridge were broken, the stucco on the ceiling was falling down and this is only the first impression, I will update if needed
The location was excellent to my needs and the room was very clean but had a slight musty order when I arrived but got some better after the heat was turned on. The bed was excellent and the bed covers were tops. The TV was excellent and very clear.
Excellent staff. Friendly and helpful. Very comfortable beds. Wifi wasn't great but was ok. Kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good aside from the eggs which were yucky looking but the sausages, waffles, and coffee were good.
Friendly staff. Very nice clean room. Super comfy bed. Lots of updates and amenities. Clean, inviting indoor pool with plenty of towels. Reasonable rate. Free breakfast was pretty good. Parking was handy. Everything was better than we anticipated. Good job Best Western!
Was very clean and the front desk personal were very nice and knowledgeable of their area. They were a great help. The breakfast had many items to choose from compared to just a normal continental breakfast and the breakfast attendant was great. Would definitely stay again.
This is where the rest of our barn had reservations, so we stayed here to be close to them. For the price we paid, I was not impressed with the room. The bathroom door would not clear the toilet. The beds were uncomfortable. The nice thing about it was the location. Close to the show grounds, and McDonalds, where we would grab breakfast. We had some suggestions from other people for different accommodations, but just stayed here, since we were already unpacked.
Great location to everything. If you want to be close to River street and all that Savannah has to offer, stay at the historic Best Western Savannah. Great staff and great location. Great prices and great rooms, and the best breakfast that is included in our room rate.
I called around 5:00 p.m to make a reservation. I told the clerk that we wouldn't be there until 9:00 p.m. and she said they had plenty of rooms. I asked if she didn't want a credit card she again said that it wasn't a problem because there were many rooms available, that she would be there, and that she had our name. We arrived around 9:15 p.m. only to be told that there were no rooms available. I was extremely disappointed because I was looking forward to staying there. We decided we would drive another hour and go to Mt. Sterling where we were able to get a room. My advice to clerks: when a customer wants to give you a credit card to hold a room take it!
Our room had somewhat been remodeled but molding where the carpet met the tile in the bath area was cut incorrectly and had popped up. Housekeeping just pushed it aside. The towel rack in the bathroom was missing...the hardware to hang it was not. The toilet (which was not replaced during the remodel) water started running at about 3am and since it is a pressure assist mechanism could not be fixed. I turned the water off and we used the restroom near the breakfast area in the morning. The only reason for the average rating was that the bed was comfortable and it was quiet.
When we arrived at 5pm the room had not been cleaned. When we returned at 6pm, the beds had been made, but the sheets had not been changed from the previous guest's overnight stay. An empty soda can was still on the bedside table. The manager would not meet with us, but agreed to give us a 20% discount on the $136.00 overnight charge. The excuse was, a maid had called in sick and they were understaffed. We had a very unpleasant and unsatisfactory visit. Stay away from this place.
We stayed at the BW in Shelbyville , Tn to visit my sister and family . The accommodations were very nice and comfortable . Our room had been remodeled recently and it was beautiful for a 1960-70's type Hotel . They have upgraded this Hotel to 2016 standards . They served a more than adequate breakfast , Coffee and Tea 24/7. It has an ambiance of Southern Charm . It has two levels ( no elevator ) , two sides and a section of rooms to the north . The employees are all great ; friendly, courteous, conscientious, and knowledgeable. Sherri was the best !
This is an old hotel that is being renovated. My room was all new. I do not think all the rooms were finished. Breakfast is okay. Hot food was microwavable sandwiches and waffles, which was fine for me. Staff was attentive and friendly.
Very clean rooms and the staff was great! The staff made us feel very comfortable and at home.I highly recommend this hotel the inside pool was very nice and I was there over a week and had a sweet and a regular room and all the rooms was very nice! I can't say enough how much I enjoy my stay! This is my new favorite hotel!
This is a great hotel if you are showing at the Calsonic Arena. It is right across the street. They are in full renovations. The breakfast has expanded options. More southern food. It's not a luxury hotel. But it is reliable, the rooms are clean, the staff friendly, the wifi is improved and was fast and reliable. It's a great value.
It's under renovation, so the lobby area is a total disaster, but my room was great! Nice towels, nice bedding, the bed was comfortable. Room was large enough. And it was pet friendly! Check out took forever, the printer wasn't working, and girl didn't have a clue... but other than that.. it was great!
I had a horrible experience at this Best Western. The room smelled musty and the carpet had stains. The towel and bed linens smelled moldy/musty as well. I was already settled in with my family so I put up with it. The pool was comfortable but I had to fish bugs and trash out of the pool so my kids didn't have to swim in the junk. The breakfast was mediocre. The cereal was a little stale and the coffee was okay. To top it all off I received a false $250 charge on my debit card for smoking in the room. There were ashes in a plastic cup in the trash because my husband smoked outside and put the butts in the cup instead of throwing them on the ground. We were told that there were ashes all over the bed and floor which was not true. The money was taken off before I was even able to tell my side of the story and the man I talked to at the hotel was very rude and uppity about it. I called to report this to the customer service number but it did no good. We had stayed two previous times and was never notified about a problem and the same thing was done with the cigarette butts in the trash. I honestly think the hotel maybe didn't make the money they expected to during the Walking Horse Celebration and saw us as a way to make easy money as the cigarette butts were in the trash can. I was told we were put on the "do not rent list" but I can honestly saw that I would not stay in this run down, overpriced hotel again even if they paid me.
Stayed there one night while passing through the area. The lobby was under renovation but otherwise everything else was good. The room was clean and tidy. The toilet didn't flush the greatest but it was just a minor inconvenience. We asked for a ground floor room and was told they were all taken but it was easy to see there were quite a few empty ones and they were no different from the one we stayed in on the second floor so I don't understand why they couldn't accommodate us. Breakfast was your basic motel breakfast with the exception they had pre made breakfast sandwiches you could heat up. The staff was so friendly and polite. They definitely put a smile on our face. Thought it was a bit overpriced but overall had a good experience.
We stayed 5 days while visiting family in the area. Bed was great. Staff was good. Breakfast was sad.?? Hotel is undergoing renovations so hopefully things will improve. They also need to clean up parking lot. Lots of cigarette butts and beer bottle tops??
Even though I live in Shelbyville, this is the first time I have been to this hotel. I was very pleased with our stay. The room was very nice and the beds were the most comfortable I have experienced in a hotel. The TV had a great picture and channels. My husband, my kids and I loved the pool and the breakfast was great- lots of variety and comfortable seating area. My only complaint was finding a dip can beside the bed that was left by the last occupant. The rest of the room was very clean so I guess it was accidentally missed. Overall a very nice comfortable stay!
This best western was below even the most basic standards. I put aside the fact they were doing renevations, because the disappointment had nothing to do with that. The rooms were basic, but i would at least expect them to be clean. Everything in the room was filthy as if it was never cleaned after the last people stayed there. The night we checked in, the man at the desk told us about the breakfast they had in the morning. Much to my disappointment we had to heat up our own frozen breakfast sandwiches in the microwave. There was noone to be found at the front counter all during breakfast and when we went to check out. They also never offered us the opportunity to sign up for the rewards program we later found out about at another best western. Basic customer service would have been appreciated.
We have always stayed at the Best Western when we come to attend the South Pull of the South in Chapel Hill. The hotel is in a good location and is near restaurants and main roads. Beds are comfortable. Have four pillows for each bed. Nice thick towels.
This is a roadside hotel in an area that appears to be off the beaten path although I was told that it is the Tennessee Walking Horse Capital of the World. The area is quiet, downscale, and definitely not in the middle of a bustling metropolis. Having said that, the staff was friendly, the room was clean and breakfast was good. We used it as a stop over between Nashville and the Jack Daniels Distillery. It worked for us, and the price was right.
We stayed here for a week while my son was going to basketball camp. At the end of the first day I noticed a puddle in the bathroom floor but assumed it was from my kids taking a shower. The next day it was bigger and I realized the toilet was leaking. When we were leaving for the day I let the manager know and he told me he would have a maintenance guy check it out. A little while after we got home I used the restroom and figured out they had turned the water off to the toilet. I turned it back on so that I could flush. A little while later there was a huge puddle so I turned it back off. Another issue we had was that the water in the tub was incredibly slow draining so as you were taking a shower, the tub was filling with water. The next day when I spoke to the manager he had to look it up in the computer and found they had to order a part, apparently they didn't even tell him. At that point I requested a new room. The room the moved us in to was apparently up for remodeling because part of the carpet was ripped up and part of the wall paper torn off. We stayed in there though because we didn't want to move again but I took pictures to the front desk so they didn't try to charge us for damages. This hotel utilizes some sort of water saving device mounted in the toilets. So if you use any amount of toilet paper you can expect to have to flush 2-3 times to get it to flush. The toilets were terrible and the showers didn't drain well at all. Our second night there we went to the pool. The pool area had trash around the floor as well as 2 nasty used Band-aids. When we went on the fourth day the same Band-aids were still in the floor as well as plenty of new trash. Also, there was a plastic cover that covered a hole in the bottom of the pool that was broken off and floating around the pool. On the fourth day it was sitting on the side of the pool. The breakfast was acceptable. Waffles you can make or breakfast sandwiches you can throw in the microwave to go along with your typical fruit, yogurt, and bagel display. The beds also seemed to be clean so that was a plus. Fridge and microwave in the room was great as well. A majority of my issues with this hotel is in the bathrooms. Lose the water saving mechanism or get one that will still allow the toilet to flush properly.
This place is really new and nice looking.sbsgnjsjbnlknviebseilbrvlikbssvrlibrklbvjabnvljanbvilhrvinebrjvberubmdmdhmdhmdghmdghmdhmdhmdfhmdghmdghdgghmdghmdghmdhnmsgnsfndfhmnfhhhndhmdghmfghmfghmdhmdfhmdghmdghmdhmdghm
Overall the hotel was okay. The room looked neat and what I mean by this is that at first glance you would think the room was clean but I noticed dust and dirt mostly in the bathroom, living area and around the microwave and mini fridge. I also saw 5 spiders during my stay in which I saw the first one in the bathroom. Since my and my husband had our 2 children with us, he would check the room often during our stay. Other than that the beds were comfortable and sheets changed daily. The breakfast was okay, they had waffles (that you make yourself), cereal, sausage, egg and cheese biscuits that you warm up, toast, fruit, danishes, yogurt and muffins.
After our tour of the Jack Daniels distillery, we went to check in. This was great. Checked in just before 2, and check out the next day wasn't until 12. So you get 22 out of 24 hours when you book a room for the night. An indoor saltwater pool came with the deal. Nearby restaurant called Legends was nice for dinner. Heather at the Best Western front desk was friendly and helpful.
Rooms were clean, spacious. You can't beat the comfort of the beds. The showers have great water pressure with large rain-type shower heads(a rarity in hotels). The breakfast items are of high quality. The only concern was that when the room was cleaned, they did not replace the tissues or make sure an extra roll toilet paper was replaced, however it was quickly remedied. Very nice place to stay.
The hotel was okay for overnight only when traveling and getting rest, but not for a long stay. The hotel curtains was filled with dust and the door was not able to lock so we had to put the second lock block on the door each time. NOT VERY SECURE. Overall it was okay.
Asking for a ground floor room several weeks in advance, I was told the only way they could guarantee a ground floor was to up grad to a suite with a twenty five dollar increase in the rate per night. because I can not climb stairs I opted for the suite even though they had ground floor rooms when I checked in.
This hotel was fine for a one night stay. However, when we checked in we were told that we would be in a quiet area. When we pulled up to our room the door next door was open and the room was full of drunk young people. We actually didn't have any trouble at all until sometime during the night a young girl was vomiting and crying outside our room. Not pleasant. Wish the check in clerk had been honest with us.
Very nice clean hotel with comfortable beds. Great location for the Celebration horse grounds. Nice breakfast...staff friendly and very helpful. I would definitely go back to this hotel. We were there for three nights
This place was grossly overpriced for the accommodation we received. Firstly the young lady at reception was really nice and helpful, but she was on her own there. We had a broken chair you could'nt sit in, a lamp that didn't work and also the towel rail in bathroom kept falling off the wall! Because she was on her own and busy we put up with it. When we checked out we got a $10 refund off our bill which was appreciated. We have been travelling for quite a few weeks and this was the worst and much more expensive than everywhere else we have stayed.
We have stayed at this motel numerous times when in town for business. The rooms are always clean, roomy, and comfortable. The indoor pool is nice & the workout room is small, but fine. The parking lot is always kept clean & the breakfast is nice.
very good. We usually stay at Best Westerns as much as possible because of the comfort of the beds and cleanliness of the rooms. The Breakfast area could have been larger is the only comment i need to make. Everything else was nice and will probably stay again.
This is overpriced, run down motel. We were desperate and believed the rating for this motel on hotels.com. This " hotel" was the most expensive around and fat from the highway, but we went for it hoping for good quality. We were extremely disappointed. While size of the room was good, it was not kept well and definitely will benefit from updates.
hotel was clean and beds comfortable. The staff was very nice and friendly. The pool was a salt water pool and water was very warm and relaxing. The breakfast could be a little better not much just on cold cereals and Danish but they did have waffle if you would like that.
It is an older place But....all remodeled, very nice beds, aminities and staff were great. They only have 3 places to smoke on the property wich was a little incovenient but i still rate it 5 stars all cocidered. I was there for 6 nights and would stay again.
We were there to go to the Jack Daniels Distillery. The rooms were nice and the staff was great. We booked the suite. It was quiet and away from the hotel. The beds were nice and plenty of pillows. With the suite we had 2 tvs and that makes it nice so we all don't have to watch the same thing. The only problem is there weren't any towels in the pool area.
This is one of the best buys for a stay in Shelbyville. Parking is more than sufficient, Rooms are decent size and beds are very comfortable. Amenities are as stated. The indoor pool is nice. The motel is also located in a good location in town with easy access to stores and restaurants.
When we arrived, the staff was friendly for what we had been experiencing in Tennessee. As far as the room goes, the carpets were kind of sticky and the room itself was humid. The breakfast was decent, actually. Overall, not bad for the price.
This hotel was very nice for the area. Stayed here on business an was very pleased with my overall stay. Check in was easy an the staff was Great. Did have a problem with hot water in the shower. Other than that the stay was great. The breakfast was great an on point. Would recommend this hotel was a Great stay. Will be staying here an trying Best Western on the road.
We spent our 1st night @The Best Western. Very busy interchange off highway. Room was OK. bathroom so so tiny&definately needed 2 be renovated. They had refrig, but not turned on. The price of room $$. I guess u get what u pay for. Room was clean.
We came to Tennessee to visit the Jack Daniel's Distillery and chose to stay at this Best Western in Shelbyville to be closer to our destination than staying in Nashville. We arrived late at night so it was very quiet, and had no problems at all finding the hotel. The front desk clerk was very nice and helpful, as the person I made the reservation with had us scheduled for another night. We weren't there long, but it seems to be a nice, clean hotel.
I was traveling with a group of college students. We stayed just one night but our entire group was pleased with the service and quality of the rooms. For the money, it served our group well. I didn't hear any complaints.
I would like to give out experince to Shelbyville on November. My friends arrive in from Iceland on November 14th and did not have a working toilet. The staff called some plumber who came to the room and removed the toilet, which left my friends with no toilet for the time they stayed there. They had to continuously go to the Lobby to use the bathroom. When they complained and wanted there monies back, the manager went into a screaming match and only gave them one night at no charge from the bill. Because they had traveled from overseas, they had no recourse to this problem. The bill was already paid up front before they arrived. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone and would reoport this manager to the owner and Best Western Coorperate.
WE spent 3 lovely nights at the Best Western Celebration Inn and Suites at the Shelbyville TN location. The room was very clean and staff friendly and helpful. This location was perfect for visiting the local distilleries as they are short drives. Local restaurants were close by and wide choice of food selections. There is no elevator to the 2nd floor so we had to carry luggage up 1 flight of stairs, Internet hook up worked well.
Room was dirty, carpet filthy with random wet spots... UGH! Keys continually failed to work. The only reason we chose that hotel was because we were traveling with our small dog and this was the only accommodation we could find in the area. Would not stay again. We paid $133 per night for a $50 room...
Good average stay Most of the sheets and pillow cases did not appear to be fresh, they were wrinkled like someone had already used them The bed had a smell like the previous occupant was a smoker, but I did not notice this until I lay down to sleep
Very clean, comfortable, accommodating and the staff gets an A-Plus. Made my family and I feel like family. Continental breakfast was great. Because my sister is handicapped and their handicap rooms only have one bed and there were 3 of us, I asked for a ground floor room, when we got there they had upgraded us to a suite. Worked out great for us. Super staff, super place to stay. I highly recommend this place if in Shelbyville, Tn.
This hotel is across the street from Calsonic Arena. It is convenient, clean and well-maintained. Breakfast is good. The pool wasn't heated. We used the internet extensively with no problems. We have stayed here for three years in a row without any problems. Definitely a good value.
spent one nite here...cause we were tired of driving and all the construction....thought it was a little pricey for one nite....the room was nice and clean .... the clerk that checked us in wasnt very friendly...
Our family stays here often when visiting local family. Whether it is Christmas day or middle of the summer, this hotel always has super friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are always very clean. This is especially important to us. They are also dog friendly, and when we are traveling with our pet this helps. The rooms designated for those with dogs are super clean too. The breakfast is very decent and just right if you need something satisfying before heading out in the morning and the coffee is very good.
This motel is very clean, has an indoor pool, comfortable rooms and beds. Friendly staff and a nice selection for breakfast. Have stayed here several times and now that we have moved to TN, recommending this motel to friends when they stay.
