The location of this hotel relative to the airport is probably the best thing about it. Mere minutes from O'Hare makes it the most convenient low-budget hotel in the vicinity. Other, more expensive places to stay at, but if you care about price and proximity, this one works. That's the positive part. Now, about the place itself. Not the best choice if your care about a well-maintained facility. One of their elevators was broken down, which didn't affect me since I was on the first floor, but that had to limit the rooms available for guests. My room appeared to be clean at first glance, and we had begun to unpack when I heard the sound of dripping water. Upon entering the bathroom, I found water dripping from the ceiling, (the ceiling?) leaving a sizeable puddle on the floor. I went to the front desk to inform them and ask for a another room, but the person at the desk said nothing was available. I informed them that if they didn't find one, they were going to put me in anther hotel at their expense. Surprise, they found another room. Remarkable, don't you think? This place is in serious need of upkeep. Their hallway carpet is noticeably dirty. They appear to only address maintenance after something breaks, and then only if someone brings it to their attention. The bed was fine, their breakfast was good enough for the price of the stay, and like I said, the location was as good as I could hope for, given the cost of the room. To call this a "Best Western" might be a misnomer. I'd say "Mediocre Western" makes a better title.
The room itself was clean and nice, but the elevator was out of order and the hallway carpets needed a deep cleaning. I sincerely appreciated the water and snack given at check in. There were no food places or adult beverages within walking distance.
Beds are comfortable. The ceilings are exceptionally low. If you're claustrophobic, you may need to stay somewhere else. Also these people never answer the phone. Good luck trying to reach them. The driver from the airport drives like a crazy man.
The hotel staff is great, the rooms are bug free and the sheets are clean. You can get a good night of rest here, but the hotel management really needs to focus their attention to the broken elevator at this hotel. After a long flight the last thing you want to do is climb the stairs with luggage. The hotel management should also consider replacing the carpet in the entire building.
Excellent facility, close to the airport, great room rates, nicly done rooms and great selection of bathroom supplies. Check in was fast, easy, woth very friendly desk person. Good shuttle, friendl,y helpful drive. Breakfast was very good.
If you plan to stay at a Best Western hotel, I suggest that you call the individual hotel directly rather than the central booking line. I used that number to book a room at Best Western O'Hare on behalf of my daughter, who was stuck at the airport late at night after her flight was canceled. I had a long conversation with the representative to make sure he understood which hotel I wanted and for which date (it was after midnight, so my daughter would be checking in and out on the same date.) He assured me that a room would be available in half an hour when my daughter arrived from the airport. When she arrived at the hotel she was told there was no room for her. We spent the next hour trying to arrange another hotel. Several days have passed and I'm still trying to get a refund from Best Western.
Very disappointing and even not professional. They didn't clean my room and change my bed for tow days. No clean towels and clean bathroom and shower. I was try to address this issue on 15/07/ 2024 around 12:25 pm to front desk if I can get a clean towels, but she was not professional and very rude. She told me that I suppose to call front desk to get room cleaned and to get towels. I told her that I put the sign by the door to get a cleaned for two days and she told me that that is not the right way to request but I have to call front desk. Even she told me this is best western hotels policy. wow! I travel many countries and use best western hotel but I never heard this policy. She is not willing to answer my questions and help me instead of that she told me that this is not on her job description to do or to help me. I just left her and back to my room. I stay with my families with our shower and clean bathroom.
Got overcharged, and was lied to by staff. Please go elsewhere, it will save you a lot of headaches.
You have to call the hotel to be picked up. We tried at least five times but they never answered and it disconnected after 10 rings. We finally called their 800 number and it took her some time to reach them. They told her someone was on the way. After 20 minutes I called 800 again and she called them again. She was told traffic was bad and they were "almost there" but it took another 15 minutes. In total we waited more than an hour (around 5 pm) for the ride. Traffic was fine from the airport to the hotel. The driver said he was having his lunch when I asked what took so long. In order to get a ride to the airport the next morning, we were told we couldn't reserve a time and should show up 1/2 hour beforehand!
Arriving late at O'Hare airport. Needed somewhere for a night before the next journey. Comfortable hotel. Hotel has airport transfer. Breakfast provided. Room has microwave.
My husband and I stayed one night in a third-floor king room. The room had a little bit of a musty smell when we entered but seemed to go away once the air conditioner was turned down. Room and hallways were very clean and had updated furnishings, carpet and excellent lighting. Bed was comfortable and noise from outside wasn't bad considering it's right by the airport. We loved the old-school elevator which was very charming and must be original with the build of this hotel. I'm 54 and have never seen an elevator like that. It was a bit slow but that's ok. Breakfast could be improved. Needs some pastries and biscuits and gravy. Great stay for the location and price!
We stayed here again as we have in the Past. It works perfect for us. The location in and around Chicago and all the Suburbs. We visit Family, Parents & Relative Cemeteries. Occasionally Doctors office visit, etc. The room that we always get is perfect. The Breakfast is Great and Plenty of food & coffee. Plenty of Parking. Location, Location, Location....
This hotel is very convenient to O'Hare car rental center, and Rosemont train station for the Blue Line into Chicago is easy to find about 2 miles away. But the hotel itself is a basic Best Western. They serve about the same breakfast every day, the bathroom in our room had issues with the toilet running and/or not flushing, the shower pressure not so great. The front desk check-in agent needed customer service training for his impatient attitude. The convenient location and good price outweighed the issues so we would stay here again.
There were many, many ants in our 3rd floor room. When I told the staff at the front desk, he just laughed and said “you know summer is coming”. I'm ok with a bug or two in the room, but this was hundreds. He gave us the GM email but he did NOT respond to email I sent twice. I didn't want all of my money back but a small discount would've been a nice gesture, instead of laughing in my face and no response to my multiple emails. Obviously will not be staying here again when I go back to this area in August. I definitely don't recommend this hotel, unless you like rooming with lots of bugs!
We stayed at this place to attend an event at Allstate Arena. After returning from the event, we found a mouse in the room close to midnight. The front-desk staff changed the room promptly. The manager was not available when check out. There was no follow up from anybody. Just avoid this place.
Did the trick for us with an overnight stay before an early flight. Reception was efficient and painless with a couple of guests in front of us. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet despite being very close to the airport. It's easy to reach from the I90 though it's signage takes some spotting. There are several food outlets near and I think you could also order room service. Some guests had been careless and there was litter in the corridors which would hopefully soon be removed. We couldn't get the free breakfast due to early flight but there was coffee and some pastries available as we waited for the shuttle. The shuttle was there when expected which gave us a stress free departure. We had a couple of energy bars which were supposed to be charged on our room but when we came to check out they weren't there and the clerk told me that it was so nice that I was honest that they would give them to me. We would happily stay there again.
Flying out of OHare made easy!! Only 3 minutes from economy parking lot. Free overnight parking. Main Hallway smelled like sewage, 2nd floor hallway smelled like weed, but once in our room, it was perfect. Clean, no smell, well maintained, good hot shower. Not noisy. Left too early to try the breakfast but would stay here again for the great value so close to Ohare!!
Nice room for the price, good service, clean, close to the airport with a good shuttle service. The breakfast is good, warm and there is enough food. Near a great variety of restaurants and bars. Good experience for the price.
Loved going here before breakfast is always good but Not sure if owners changed but quality went down hot water lasted 4 minutes and was lukewarm and beds were hard overall sad to say we will be staying in the holiday inn next door for future visits
I am use to staying in 4 and 5 star hotels, especially in the downtown Chicago area. However, the house keeping staff was so accommodating. Even the staff who didn't speak English, lit up like a Christmas tree with their hospitality. So many smiles and great energy. I was surprised and shocked to be quite honest. I'm coming back just for the elite service. Thank you Nest Western!
I got in late and called the front desk to check availability. The lady was very helpful, pleasant, and professional especially for 1am. This is a great place to stay. Thank You. Dan Ok so the review HAS to be 200 character s, hmm. Well while I was there it was dark outside until daylight and then it was partly cloudy the temperature outside was cold but warmed up later in the day. There was a lot of airplanes at the airport and some of them landed and some took off
Beautiful newly remodeled hotel. Breakfast buffet was one of the better ones I've been to and there was a very good restaurant across the parking lot. A negative was that there was a sign that said lactose free creamer available but they didn't have any.
Nice hotel near the airpot with great shuttle service and breakfast. Breakfast buffet includes eggs, hams, waffle, brads, cereal, fruits… not a full buffet, but nice enough for a complete meal! The room was clean and the front guess personnel were very attentive. Location is near rent a car services and the shuttle stop on it.
Nice location just north of O'Hare airport with a free shuttle bus 24-hour standby. There's always someone at the front desk 24/7, so you can literally check out any time you want and take the shuttle to the airport within 20 minutes.
We just needed a place near ORD for an early morning flight. Easy check in. clean and fairly modern room. free parking, and spots were close to the room. The hotel was convenient for rental car return. Breakfast starts at 6am, so less applicable if your flight is real early.
Overall hotel was very quiet and comfortable. Beds were super comfortable and room was clean. Free airport transport was fantastic service. Hotel decor is very old but for one night it's fine. More toasters at breakfast would be helpful
Ok, so first thing first, I have stayed at this hotel before and it was hit and miss... this time it was definitely a miss... the shuttle driver from the hotel did not know what street his hotel was on when i asked him if the hotel was on higgins road, he said "no, not your hotel"... then when he came back a half hour later, he was just sitting there and i had to pull out my phone and show him the different best westerns in the area and that's when he confirmed in fact he was the one on higgins... then when i went to talk to management about this, to let them know they should make sure their drivers know which road the hotel was on, he made a comment of "yeah, he was out there when I picked up the refugees", now i am not playing the race card, but these people were black, and I am not one hundred percent certain, but i don't believe they were "refugees"... on top of that, even if they were, you don't refer to other patrons as that in front of other guests.... management actually had to get the driver to go outside when he and i were discussing what happened... when it comes to the room, it's a best western, it's not the worst room and definitely not great... bed was pretty uncomfortable and the shower was not very powerful at all... but anyway, the one good thing i would say is the location is excellent, but that doesn't matter if you're using hotel shuttle, and it doesn't pick you up because the driver tells you it's not your hotel.
Placed in a room 10' from a construction site that started jackhammering at 7:30 AM after a 1AM check in. No hot water! And the worst of it was that the staff really didn't care! Offered us a late checkout! As if we would want to stay there longer! Just stay in a different hotel, there are plenty in the area!
The hotel is very close to Chicago Airport and has a good sized free parking lot. The greeting at check-in was very friendly and helpful. It's a budget hotel so don't expect anything too fancy. The whole place was clean (as far as I could see) although some of the fittings are a bit dated. I didn't use the Fitness Room- nice to have one even though it's very small. I did take the free breakfast which was decent. I was only here for a single night as I am on a road trip but I would happily stay here again - though of course it's not a place with lots of amenities or sites to see nearby.
We stayed at this property on 9/16/23. The hallways were filthy. Guest room had stains on the carpet. Decided to forego showering there due to concerns about cleanliness. Elevators were both broken. Staff was unfriendly. Room looked like a fraternity house after a rager - damage everywhere. Just pay some more money and stay at a safe, clean hotel up the street. This one is NOT worth the few dollars saved. The only "bright" spot was the shuttle driver, who was great.
Poor follow through on everything. You're on your own. Exit doors broken, ac emits foul smell, lucky if they pick up the phone once you check in. The carpets looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a week…filthy. Best to find another place.
Don't stay here if you value your safety or health. For starters, the elevator hasn't been in service for over a year and the rooms are old. It may look new, but it's clearly painted over and has modern fixtures installed. The tv doesn't have a clear picture and the beds were loud. The toilets flush like an old home. There are no cameras in the hallway and some strange man knocked on our door and tried to push himself in our room! We were 2 young woman and this was our worst nightmare!! After that we were extremely uncomfortable here and there were no cameras to have seen who he was! Don't stay here!!! There was construction next door too and we were woken up at 7am every morning.
The people were friendly. The room was clean. The breakfast was fine, but make sure you take videos or pictures of your room before you leave so that you can prove that you didn't do damages that you're charged for.
Elevator not working . A key entry door was not working to get in building from parking lot . A lot of walking through hotel lobby and hallways to get around . Staff had no interest in the elevator working or not . And as far as the door entry one person said sometimes it works the other said no it doesn't .
What a pleasant surprise and enjoyable stay. I missed my flight so this was an unexpected trip. The rooms are clean an fresh with upgrades throughout, and the shower was very relaxing, but the breakfast was the added surprise. Fresh make yourself waffles with sausage and eggs fruit and yogurt.
We had to move our room three times, however Bhavna and Hamza were extra special in getting us to the best room they had. Overall good stay. Breakfast was okay. They are clearly doing many things to get it right. It looks like they're upgrading all their rooms. They've upgraded their lobby breakfast and fitness area.
After my flight was cancelled, needed a room to spend the night. Very convenient location, for both from and to the airport. Check in was a breeze, and in no time I was in my room. Good housekeeping practices are in place at this property, hall carpeting clean, and in room cleanliness was apparent. Spotlessly cleaned bathroom. Comfy bed with nice pillows. HVAC quiet when on fan only but when AC kicks in was a bit noisy, but I put a pillow over my head and slept well.
I needed a place to stay near O'Hare. My room was quiet, the bed comfortable, the staff was helpful, the shuttle driver was helpful, and the shuttle ride was a quick few minutes to O'Hare for a very early flight
It was great experience to stay in Best Western O'Hare hotel. Nice friendly serive by Bhavana, Asad and Team. Airport pickup and drop facility is amazing. I will definitely prefer my next visit stay here only
This is what we found on us after staying the night at the best western at Rosemont SMH when I told them and sent them pictures they said what they always say " NOBODY COMPLAIN" it's bad don't stay here.
Stayed one night on a long layover for an early flight. Hotel is very well maintained and very clean. Check in with Bhavana was a breeze and she helped with all my questions. Shuttle to/from hotel and airport was great as well. If sensitive to noise, ask for a room at the rear of the hotel as the hotel sits on a busy road. Would gladly recommend staying here to anyone.
This is Really bad property , when we entered the hotel, the reception area floor was littered with trash , the window glasses were not clean felt like abandoned property. Who ever manages the property does not bother to hire staff to meet the demand , we had to stand in line for 30 min to be checked in. Rooms were rotten , only one electric outlet in the room, coffee machine was broken, tv was 32 inch only. Bathroom sink and showe will choke as soon as you use them . Will never stay here again .
We chose to stay at this BW because of how close it is to Ohare Airport Chicago. Great location, near airport and restaurants. Our room was very clean and the staff was very nice. I would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.
Awesome shuttle drivers who are extremely friendly, hospitable and helpful. Room was great, and serviced once we advised the front desk a few times. The included breakfast is fabulous with great variety and selection. Handy to the train which takes you right in to Chicago centre. Perfect to stay
So is interesting good. Hard to say, small lobby, interesting check in. Parking was easy out front i would say though lots of renovation going on in parking lot and also next door. We had a large room on top floor with window that opened a bit and could see back area which was another large building. Room was at end of a hall and the hall end beyond our room was boarded off. Looking outside from street could see rest of building had actually been chopped off so nothing was next to our room. Never quite figured out what they were gonna do. The elevators are small and very old, whole building seems older and while it needs redoing it makes it kinda interesting when not a bit scary lol Overall the room which was huge but oddly furnished was clean other than the used dial soap in a box in shower that the cleaning crew missed. Room design was quite interesting because of it's size the tv on a cabinet were very far from the bed and the tv was rather small with not great reception. Were other bits and pieces around that did not fit even a chair and footstool inside the door way alone and far from anything else in the room that turned out oddly to be most comfortable seat but you couldn't see the bed from it nor the tv angle either. Very odd room yet not entirely uncomfortable sleep. The bathroom had an odd hallway between bedroom and the bathroom that had a mirror and counter but no additional sink. Would i stay again ? Probably not, but i am curious as to what this hotel becomes over time. Stay tuned lol
The bathroom had mold on the seems of the sink and throughout the ceiling (room 132). The television's picture was barely distinguishable with only the sound working. The elevator was out of order/service (that's why we stayed on the first floor) as well as the gym/exercise area. I requested extra towels since there was no room service and I was told none were available.
This Best Western was a huge disappointment. Where to start? The room was small and the carpet is the hotel room is so dirty it's best to keep on shoes. The breakfast buffet was semi-disastrous -- for some reason, there was no water for which to make coffee -- horrors! And, there was no juice available. The only positive for this hotel is the shuttle driver Eddie. He's great.
This hotel definitely needs an update. Our room needed many things replaced. Light in entry way didn't work. All of our phone plugs would just fall out of the outlet by the bed. Hook torn off bathroom door and there were no towel racks. The TV had horrible reception, like it was hooked up to an antenna. Toilet seat definitely needed replacing. Rust around sink drain. “Wood” ripped off bottom of bathroom door. A few stains on bedding and curtains. WiFi was very slow for us so we didn't even use it. Breakfast was average. They were out of a lot of things so options were very limited. All of the employees we came in contact with were very nice.
This location was not ready to open to public. They still had a lot of repairs to do. Being near the airport and convention centers it is important to offer shuttle service and what's with all these Illinois hotels that make you pay to keep your car with you?? Lol Ridiculous.
Shuttle drivers and front desk staff were great. Our room had a very slippery floor in the entryway and bathroom, almost like it was greased. The carpet was wet. It was hard sleeping as the room was noisy. In the morning, we found that the window was open and we couldn't close it. We were tired after a long trip and didn't call the desk to change rooms. I really expected more.
The hotel was nice and the bed was super comfortable. Though the business center was a computer and printer in the hotel lobby, The computer was slow and the printer did not work. There were 29 documents waiting to be printed. The hotel was only 10 minutes from the airport and they had several Food delivery services close to the hotel. The Chinese was delicious.
Dirty, dirty, dirty! The only positive thing I have to say is that what little staff I did see were kind and willing to help us with our issues. No working TV, toilet, or mini fridge. Expired food served for breakfast (curdled milk set out...yuck). I even had my family book rooms as well being that I thought it was a decent choice in hotels for what we were there for. I've stayed at a Best Western in Sedona, AZ and was pleased. This is not the case with this location. Spend your money elsewhere!
We stayed at this hotel during Labor Day Weekend. Honestly, we could not ask for more. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Our stay included free breakfast and free airport shuttle. The two receptionist, Bhauna and Ann, were very helpful during our check-in and checkout process as well as with providing assistance with our luggage storage (this option is also included). In addition to this items, we would recommend this hotel since it is close to O'Hare Airport and you may take the train to downtown, if you want to explore the city.
The best wester ohare is by far the best valie in Ohare Breakfast doesnt have a lot of choices but what they have is fine and again by far costs a lot less than others with more variety also they have airport pick up 24 hours most other places dont, granted they can take a bit of time if they are busy, and they ussually are but again they do it Rooms are allways clean and their personel os friendly and ready to help Even a bottle of water costs half what it cost elsewhere
Perfect position, only 5 minutes from the airport by car (there is also a free shuttle in both directions every 15 minutes). The room was clean and quiet, the only problem was that the shower wasn't working (make sure to call the reception in this case).
The staff was friendly. Easy check-in. Room was clean. Carpet needs replacing. Convenient location to O'Hare airport and nearby restaurants. Good price for the area compared to other hotels. I would stay at this Best Western again!
Wonderful, helpful staff. The rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable. I have been a customer of Best Western O'Hare on nearly every stay in Chicago for many years. Proximity to O'Hare and its shuttle service are an asset. I highly recommend it!
Nice staff, good timely airport shuttle but building run down, old dirty carpet, strong mildew/mood smell throughout especially in room. No ice in ice machine which was dirty. Will do for quick airport overnight but not for faint of heart, Not worth the price of over $100
We had moved from Illinois and came back to see family and friends. This location was close to everyone. We slept well for the entire 8 nights we were there. Everyone was friendly, especially Bhavan at the front desk. From check-in to checkout she always had a smile on her face. Julie who took care of the breakfast went out of her way to be sure we had everything we need. Next time we go back we will definitely stay here.
The shuttle from the airport to the hotel took over 30 minutes to arrive after I called the hotel. The hotel staff has been unable to provide me with a receipt for my hotel stay despite multiple calls : (
elevator buttons not clear and wiring exposed needs a major overhaul. i felt it was not safe to use. Microwave in room was not plugged in had to use the one in the breakfast room. Was told when checking in that the airport shuttle ran on the hour, not so as the next morning the shuttle driver said he was there every 15 minutes during the day. many printed signs in the hallways telling which direction the rooms are and the number of the elevator.
I expect better from Best Western. We stayed here the night before my wife was to fly out for an important business trip. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to O'Hare, the free shuttle to the airport, and because our experience with Best Western has been consistently positive. Turned out to be a poorly remodeled hotel that does not meet Best Western standards. Carpet in our room was not vacuumed. Musty smell. Mold on ceiling above shower. Dingy corners. Hallways not vacuumed well. Cobwebs on exercise equipment. Front desk said housekeeping was gone for the evening and they had no room to move us to. We thought about finding a different hotel but it was late, so we stayed. On the plus side, the shuttle was provided as promised and the wifi works well. I would not stay here again.
We stayed at the Best Western at O'Hare as a group and had booked two rooms, which we requested as interconnecting. On the booking.com there was advertised a free hotel shuttle from the airport which was the main reason we chose this property. When making the booking we also ticked to say we would want a airport shuttle. When we arrived at the airport we waited for around 45 and not one airport shuttle for the Best Western arrived. We eventually had to give up and pay 20$ for a taxi. When we got to the hotel the receptionist told us it is for going to the airport only and it is required to call the hotel to get a shuttle. We were not told this on the booking.com or at any time during the booking process. On arrival also the receptionist didn't seem to understand anything we were saying. First she told us we had paid for our room already and no payment is needed. Then she said about a security deposit which we know is normal and again said we had already paid for the 4 nights. We hadn't paid and had chosen to pay at the property but it took about 10 minutes to explain we still had to pay. We were given rooms 10 numbers apart . There was interconnecting door for the room next door but we hadn't been put next to each other. During our stay the room next to us appeared empty as there was no sound next door until the last night when we had to be up at 3am. There was a family in the room next to us and as the walls were thin and we had that interconnecting door connecting our room with theirs we could here every single thing that was going on in the room next door making sleep very difficult. Overall the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The wifi worked very well also, the password was provided on check in. However, there was no sound proofing at this property and due to the proximity to the airport, a light sleeper may have issues. The air conditioning unit was very dated and made a lot of noise. During our 4 night stay our room was never cleaned or attended to. We found a cleaner one day but there was a language barrier and we were unable to communicate properly. She did give us a new toilet roll though as we had run out. There was no restaurant on site with the nearest food establishment being mcdonald's across the road. There was also a dunkin donuts about 5 minute walk away but also what appeared to be a shopping centre 10-15 minute walk away. There was free breakfast served at the property however it wasn't very varied. There was only dispensed plastic cutlery and paper plates to eat with. Overall, we found this property to be more of a motel rather than a hotel and found it to be very over priced for the facilities provided.
Definitely choose a Best Western Plus location and not this one. The room was musty and there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Would not recommend this hotel. Shuttle was good in the morning to the airport but terrible the night before. I usually have great experiences with Best Western hotels but not this location.
Closer to Chicago International Airport. Offers free airport shuttle, an option I did not use as I had my own car. Offers hot breakfast, free internet and parking. What else would a guest want, especially if looking for options near the airport? Only thing that could be of delight to some guests like me who prefer to start the day with non-fat and low calorie breakfast is to add an oatmeal option.
I haven't stayed in a Best Western for years, and now I know why. Strange wear and tear in the bath tub (see photo), and only two working light sockets in the entire room. Desk lamp didn't work either. The window was also cracked (in a ground-floor room). This would be fine for $50 per night on the plains of Nebraska, but not for $223. It is close to the airport, so it's got that going for it. Wouldn't want my wife or daughter to stay here.
The shuttle was not at the airport. I called the front desk to have the shuttle come out and no answer. For the next half hour only busy signal when I called the hotel. Ended up staying at the airport instead.
Room 223 smelled like smoke, the refrigerator was broken (hello, sour milk!), and the mattresses were well past their lifespan. The TV didn't work for the entire two day stay. Staff was unhelpful and wouldn't move us (said they were fully booked) until we threatened to end our stay early and find a different hotel. Our second room was fine.
LOT NOT SECURE!! The catalytic converter was stolen from our Prius. The car was parked right outside the main front doors of the hotel. The manager isn't doing anything about the issue. Was told to contact the police. Police said this happens all the time.
What do you want in an airport Hotel? Must be close to the airport, have a shuttle, have friendly staff, comfortable rooms and be near a number of restaurants. With the BW O' hare, you get all of that at a very reasonable price..plus a great breakfast.
Very poor shuttle service and front desk. I had to wait for 1 hour 40 mins for shuttle in from airport to hotel at noon. Terrible front desk keep telling me wrong ETA. I could have used the airport parking instead.
Front staff was very helpful, room was clean and housekeeper was so friendly, as I said location was good amenities are good and the fitness room was working properly, i highly recommend this hotel to anyone who want to stay near O'hare airport
This property was clean and reasonably priced. The front desk was helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. While traveling through O'Hare may be a nightmare, this Best Western was able to provide a place to regroup and determine how to continue my journey.
Shuttle only runs until 10pm to the airport. Paid parking. 30-45 minutes from downtown. 5-10 minutes from airport. Not much to eat around there except Mcdonalds and Panara Bread. Great room for price. Classic style breakfast. Gym is average.
Got stuck at O'Hare overnight, wanted someplace close and cheap. My useless United “voucher” presented this as an option. My expectations were low and this property lived down to them. But I expected a few things. A tv that worked. An in-room coffee maker that wasn't missing important parts. Sheets that didn't smell like smoke. A front desk attendant who gave a crap about the above. And an airport shuttle that was available before 7 am. What “airport” hotel doesn't run a 24-hour shuttle? I am not a picky traveler and I hate leaving bad reviews. But if I can keep one tired traveler from the additional frustration of staying at this place, it's worthwhile.
- good bedroom= bed very confortable - bad breakfast= poor quality of food and no breakfast before 7am which is not acceptable near an airport - welcome for client should be improve by some little food at desk( apple, cookies,..) and some coffee in bedroom
We were in a group of friends who got two adjoining rooms. The rooms were not clean and the carpet was hideous. THERE WAS NO HOT WATER!!!! We called the front desk and they sent up a maintenance guy who DID NOTHING. He ran the water for a while that was it! My friend had already tried that. His excuse was “there's been low occupancy and it takes a little while for the water to get up here” (we were on the 2nd floor). The commode in our room ran all the time and DID NOT FLUSH!!!! There were no coffee cups for coffee beside the coffee pot in either room. The adjoining room door was stuck and we almost had to break it to get it open. This was the 5th hotel we stayed in while on this trip and BY FAR THE WORST!!!
Disappointing stay for sure. The good: My room (once I got in) was very clean, modern, spacious and comfortable with a small microwave and nice mini-fridge. The free breakfast offers plenty of choices from good a selection of pastries, yogurt, cold cereals, feggs (fake eggs), sausage, bacon, potatoes, etc. Convenient location just a few minutes form the airport and a 10-15 minute walk to plenty of shopping and eateries. The bad: Key sensor pad at parking lot auxiliary door didn't work, had to continually go through main entrance. Although the TV offers a lot of channels the picture quality on many were not too good with several bordering on unwatchable. I had to return to the front desk twice during my 3 night stay to get my "key" reactivated. The available parking is grossly inadequate and only because neighboring businesses were vacant was I able to park. One of the main elevators was out of order for most of the weekend. Was not informed there would be no room service, had to ask for clean towels. No hair dryer in room. The ugly: The front desk agent had zero personality, I was barely acknowledged at check-in. Then the room to which I was originally assigned already had someone staying in there. I returned to the front desk and the key pad/door handle didn't work at the next room I was given. Returned to front desk again; it took 3 attempts to finally get me into a room.
The rooms were nice, but the shell - old elevator with glue oozing, crowded dirty lobby - made me wonder if this was really a BW. Then ready for breakfast at 6 AM? No, and not even any coffee ready in the lobby. Just seemed so cheap. The only advantage is the rental car place at O-Hare is walking distance.
Check in - Staff did not greet as normally we experienced - Staff did not inform us that there will not be any kind of room service during our 5-night stay - We only had 2 towels (they were so small not full-size towels) and 2 small towels when we checked in - Next day when we requested for additional towel, they said they will bring it to us(there were 3 people at the front desk at that time… front desk person, shuttle driver and an Alexandro, after 45 minutes waiting my husband called them and they said they will bring it to us soon. After 3 hours my husband called again, and they said they are busy and will get to us when they get chance. We cloud we from our room that there were no one at the front desk. I had to go down, we had heated communication with front desk person (I have recorded the communication). At that time after arguing with him for about 7-10 minutes he had provided towels but not toiletries. How do they expect us to stay for 5 nights with one soap and one tiny package of shampoo and conditioner? - All we wanted to do wat to take shower after long day in a city and we could not do that for 3 hours because we did not have towels, soap and shampoo till 3 hours after we had requested. - We never received “0” class service so far during our travel. - Our vacation tuned in to stress full instead of it should be pleasant experience - I need our money back - Staff put their half-eaten food and beverages into the refrigerator, where guest supposed to parched water bottle (gross) - Our room key stop working next day, we had to go to front desk 3 times in 4 days stay to get key situation working. Key never worked to open the side door. Also seen other guests having same problem as well Breakfast We were there for 5 nights and went for breakfast in the morning. - None of the staff was wearing a mask - only one regular coffee canister was available, and it was cold - no yogurt was available - no fruit was available - only 2% milk was available this was not continental breakfast. When we asked for fruit or yogurt, they informed me that they were out. Were they out every day? WHY? we are vegetarian and we really had to go out for breakfast almost every day
I'm sure you've read this before where someone states they don't leave reviews. I'm usually one of those people, however I just have to write about this place. It's truly shocking. First off, I've waited an hour for the shuttle and called multiple times. I gave up and caught a cab much to the delight of the driver who was pissed with such a short distance fare. He later admitted the hotel were lazy and sometimes didn't send their shuttle out. Must be the dark nights? So 15 dollars down I arrive at the property. To be fair, only one person was working the desk, manning the phone and checking people in so he was already against the wall but he sure as hell made everyone aware of this. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity watching him take call after call, he asked for ID, which threw me as he was on the phone at the same time. Five minutes later he asked for a credit card... then sometime after that issued the room key. No conversation, no information... nothing. Not even a smile. Zero. During this time several calls came in about the shuttle to which he said he would send it out. That did not happen and I was there for a good twenty minutes. Room was a good size, clean but old... blah blah... Next morning, new face, same attitude. I've stayed in some places but this was unbelievable... Best Western... you have a serious issue at this location. I won't be coming back there or any other location. - 10/10 To the people who give positive reviews, you clearly haven't stayed at this place.
No cable, static analog TV, no towels were available, no breakfast, tub was clogged, no housekeeping, slept on soiled sheets, card sensor to door near parking lot didn't work, rude staff, worst of all! The airport shuttle driver made me extremely uncomfortable by asking if I lifted weights & how sexy he thought it was! I was alone in the van with him & was terrified.
The Check-in was obscene. We were given a room with a front door with a mal-functioning, door nob that detached from the lock with the latch swiveling and disconnected from the nob. We needed a hotel with shuttle to the airport and were told shuttle begins at 7am. You didn't mention that caveat in your advertising.. Our flight was at 715am...We required a cab at $15.00. With 200 hotel rooms at your facility justify an early shuttle. Do you agree? Our replacement room, no. 142 was filthy. The TV sound didn't function, the toilet paper was so thin and transparent, one could see one's hand behind holding it. But the kicker, a large blood- red, splattered stain under the night stand on which the clock radio is located. God knows what was the source. This hotel in managed by a cheap, penurious person who has no shame, no class and no respect for the public.
Please update your site or compensate or not having breakfast. Extremely dissatisfied and upset that breakfast was not provided when it was clearly stated in the ad and when I was booking a room. No one told me or notified me about anything until I got to check in and ask. Was very disappointed.
Excellent customer service and staff was awesome and very attentive. Hotel is close by to O'hare airport . The hotel is clean and Covid friendly. I have no complaints whenever I stay with them and will always recommend this hotel!
Flying in to O'Hare my wife and I decided to give this Hotel a visit as we have stayed across the street in other Hotels in the past. What is beneficial is that they offer a Microwave and a large size refrigerator to store items if you have a taste to make your own sandwiches or reheat leftovers, unlike the Hotels across the street. They are really nice as Staff is concerned starting with the General Manager,Danny Torres. The Front Desk, Jessica,Jasmine,& Mike are very courteous and always greet you with a smile. They also offer a shuttle if you need one to O' Hare during the day and Eddie the driver will assist you with your luggage. I read recent Reviews and whoever wrote the negativity must have had a bad trip and probably complains when the sun rises. I am retired and travel extensively and for the price (very affordable) unlike the other Hotels across the street. The Housekeepers Eliana and Maria Flores are always around if you need towels and other items. We never request to have them make the bed and tidy up the room out of respect, where other negative Reviewers probably leave their trash in the room for them to clean up. I would like to see their houses, homes with garbage all around. It's easy to complain about petty instances, just a hint, you won't live long. Anyway this Hotel has MORE positives on their sides. Hospitality,Affordability, storing beverages in which you may want cold `instead of running to a store in the middle of the night,or even reheating leftovers. I really like this Hotel and will definitely return when we fly into O'Hare.
This was absolutely the worst hotel room I have ever had to stay in. Canceled flight, almost no hotel rooms available last minute, this was only option. First, you must call the hotel for shuttle pickup. Arrived at hotel, Mike was the at desk check in. He was rude and uncaring with a flippant attitude. Had to take a smoking room, because nonsmoking was not available. The room smelled like an ashtray!! White powder was sprinkled in the corner under the chair. The carpet was filthy snd worn. The TV picture had vertical lines across the picture. Hallway carpet was old and worn out. A total dump of a hotel. Only one elevator was working. The shuttle does not run at night. This was not stated on the website. Was told we had to call a taxi at 4am. Only one taxi is available at that time. ( which we found out at 4am) Luckily we were able to share with the other customer who was there before us. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!!!
My flight had an unexpected long delay so I missed my connecting flight at O'Hare. I found the hotel at goggle when I was in the airport lobby. It's close to the airport and I took Uber. The room was good enough for me to take a rest. Nice bed, good charging outlets, clean room, and good AC. Next time I may a longer stay if re-visit. Helpful staff. Good shelter for an unexpected traveler like me.
My husband and I stayed at the hotel prior to an early flight. We have had recent luck with nice Brdt Westerns, but this was not the same. The room was dirty (musty smelling, and sticky bathroom door handles). The carpet in the hall looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, and the air conditioner was leaking all over our floor. The TV remote batteries were dead. For the positives, the front desk was nice, and called us a cab (as their shuttle doesn't run early morning or late at night). They also had free bottled water. I don't think I would stay here again.
This was my second stay, and like the first, it was outstanding. The room was clean and comfortable and guest services was outstanding from the first time I called until I checked out. I was very pleased with the quality and value and would definitely stay here again!
I've been to my fair share of cheap hotels. If you're looking for a cheap options--GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I stayed one night here and was out the door as fast as I could. - Rude staff -No breakfast -Mice in parking lot -Dirty hallways and sticky elevator floor -No hairdryers -Didn't check iD on check in -Smelled like weed -No hotel phone in room The only redeeming quality was the shuttle service drivers. But there are so many hotels in this area--just choose any other one! NIGHTMARE!
I contacted this hotel on 05/13/21 to ask questions about the park and fly program. A woman, who I later found out was named "Theresa" answered the phone, "HELLO" with an attitude and no identification this was the Best Western. Once I clarified that it was, I went on to ask questions about the Park & Fly program. She had a huge attitude and gave me conflicting information according to the website. When I asked her to clarify, she rudely told me to call reservations. I continued to ask a few questions to clarify, but when I asked if she was familiar with the website as she was giving me different information, she proceeded to hang up on me. For the next 10 minutes, when I called back, she would pick up the phone and then hang it up over and over again. I have never in my whole life ever been treated with such disrespect. I contacted the reservations phone number and when he called her, she was also rude to him until he identified himself. I filed an official complaint with Best Western and I absolutely refuse to stay there and am now staying at a nearby Best Western Plus.
I liked staying best westerns hotel. near the airport and customer services was helpful. easy to check in and out. clean room and bed was very comfortable. mattress was so comfortable as well. absolutely i recommended this hotel to friends and family. The only downside was there is nothing to eat in the hotel and hotel was close to the oher airport.
I was disappointed that they had no food service. Everything else was fine except the red spot on the floor. The service was excellent . The bed was comfortable, I didn't want to get out of bed because it was snowing and so comfortable.
The hotel is wonderful. Services are great. Staff really nice. The manager Danny takes care of your needs and concerns. The environment is peaceful and quiet. Easy to park and food delivery is offered.
The hotel is not well organized, the room is date and need more maintenance, especially Air-con. No remote for TV in room probably they forgot. Tissue hanger was broken. The lobby area look dark, very old and careless. (probably because of the pandemic?) I am little disappointed with the given name 'Best Western'. Much lower than Average.
Considering the Covid restrictions this hotel was perfect. It was clean, quit and very convient to the airport. I was very pleased with my stay and was very pleased they let me have an extended check out time.
It is baffling how a staff can be so inattentive to the cleanliness of its property. The carpet wasn't vacuumed, the floors were stained, smeared fingerprints on the glass doors, and the outdoor trash cans were not emptied during my entire stay. If we could have gotten a refund, we would have definitely changed hotels.
0/5! If you're looking for a place to stay just for the night before catching an early flight, then this still isn't the place for you. Don't let the tidy pictures on the website fool you, this place is a disgusting dump. The grimy, dimly lit hallway was littered...littered with trash and ground-in crumbs strewn everywhere. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in days. Opening the door to the rooms we were hit with an offensive smell that cannot be described. The rooms were dated and cheaply done. I did not feel comfortable touching anything until I had sanitized the entire room. Once we got to our vacation destination I had to rewash all my packed clothes because the reek from the hotel lingered that long on all my items. I am just glad we left too early for whatever they attempted to serve for breakfast. Based on the condition of the rest of the place, I'm sure we avoided getting sick. Stay anywhere else, or sleep on the street, it would be cleaner.
Flew into Chicago O'Hare late and decided to stay at this location. It was ok for one night, but have stayed at more comfortable places than this. Didn't try the breakfast as we were in a hurry to drive to Milwaukee. Probably won't stay here again.
Find another hotel, the management here don't care about your safety or your experience, only your money. Best Western will never have our business again. This is a long but detailed review on why, so that we can hopefully save other people from a similar bad customer service experience. We stayed at this hotel on Feb 19th. We checked in and went to our room a king suite, started to do the usual check to make sure everything was clean and in order. My husband turned the shower on and moved the shower door. It was glass and it immediately exploded in his hands. I heard the loud noise and walked over to the bathroom door to see him standing stock still with a piece of it in his hand and blood rising all over the backs of his hands where the glass fell and cut him. I immediately flipped the faucet on in the sink and instructed him to let go of the piece he was holding (he was clearly in shock) and let the water run over his hands. I noticed there was glass everywhere, even out into the bedroom area. I picked up the phone to call the front desk but there was no dial tone. I had to get on the floor, covered in glass shards, to locate the cord for the phone to plug it in. I called the desk and the lady who had checked us in no more than 10 mins earlier said to come up and she'd give us another room. We cleaned up my husband's hands as best we could and I gathered all our stuff and headed to reception. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the lady who was working that night, she had door keys ready for us for another regular (not suite room as none were available) king room, she gave us Band-Aids for the cuts on my husband's hands and she said the hotel would comp our room. As we were in shock, we headed to the new room, recleaned his hands and applied the Band-Aids. We decided to order dinner in from a local restaurant as we then didn't feel like going anywhere that evening. The next morning we stayed in also as we were still shaken from the incident the night before. We had intended to do some sight-seeing that evening and morning as we were stuck in Chicago due to a car issue but this time was lost to us due to the shock of incident and injuries to my husband's hands. Upon check out, I asked the new clerk to confirm if our room was comped, she looked confused, but didn't communicate with us. We were left standing there after we asked the question. She picked up the phone on her desk to make a call but evidently there was no answer. She then picked up her cell phone to make a call. After all this, a man appeared behind us and she pointed at him to us. This man turned out to be Danny, the manager. but he didn't tell us his name until I asked at the end of our conversation. He started by asking what happened in the room. After we recounted to him, he asked if we'd punched or kicked the shower door because it was just newly installed and they couldn't understand how this would happen. We were again in a state of shock at this accusation. We pointed to my husband's hands and stated that this could have been a much bigger issue and that in no way did we do anything other than open the shower door. Danny stated that they couldn't comp the room without getting more information from us but they had made no attempt to contact us by phone, by message to the room etc. They waited until we asked the question at checkout and then ambushed us with the accusation. Danny was in no way apologetic at all and his demeanor was very confrontational about the incident. He tried to say he wasn't accusing us but he clearly was. He stated that he couldn't just comp the room and would have to speak to the general manager but assured us that he would call us from his personal cell by 4pm that day (Thursday) with an answer. He never called. After the conversation with Danny, we went out to our car and called the corporate number for Best Western to make a complaint because of how we had just been treated. They advised us it would take 2-5 days for a response. We realized later that the clerk that morning has not even given us the receipt we asked for. I gave them several days to call us, on Sunday, 3 days later, I called the hotel. A different clerk answered the phone and was the first person at the hotel to truly apologize to us. I asked him to have a manager call me, he said Danny would call the next day. I requested that he have someone else call me because of the way Danny spoke to us and said he didn't have the authority to comp a room. The clerk informed me that Chris, the general manager would be in the next day, Monday, and would call me. He never called. I finally received a call on Wednesday 2/26 from corporate telling me that the management had decided not to refund the room, even though they charged for the larger room and that they (corporate) couldn't do anything to override the decision of the management at the hotel. They advised that if I wanted a refund or compensation that I "explore other avenues". This corporation, and this management team don't care that a person was injured on their property, they provided what can only be described as hostile customer service, took our money and told us that was the end of it. We are completely disgusted by our experience and will never do business with Best Western again.
We checked into a room that was obviously not ready for guests. The refrigerator was broken, there was no microwave and the smoke detector was clearly broken and missing, exposing a hole in the wall. When we went to breakfast two days in a row, both days, the staff was putting out spoiled/expired milk. Our one year became sick because of this. When we noticed it was expired and asked that they put out fresh milk, they became very snappy. The room we were changed over to had a broken toilet that was visibly disgusting.
My wife and in-laws stayed at the Best Western after seeing our son off to A School after graduating Navy Boot Camp. They did allow us to check in early (for a fee) which was nice as we were up all night at the airport. The hotel seems quite old as I haven't seen a true push button elevator in a long time. Beds were comfy and the typical square bed pillows from BW. Room was OK but the bathroom was rough. Mold on the ceiling and extremely slick bathtubs (father-in-law almost fell). Also, we were woken up in the early afternoon, even though we had the do not disturb sign up, by the cleaning staff who said I needed to call the front desk because her list didn't have us on it. Um...how do you think we got a key for the room? Wasnt happy about that. Nothing within walking distance of the hotel. Our biggest problem was the marijuana smell that permeated the 3rd floor. Management was responsive but couldn't find which room it was from. Not the greatest experience and not sure I would stay again.
We stayed here twice on our lay overs recently. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and quite. Breakfast starts at 5:30 which is great for flights. Located close to the airport and a McDonald's. The one thing I did not like is the airport shuttle picked up more infrequent then other hotels at the airport. They said it would be there at every 15 and 45. We were there at 7:15 but did not see the shuttle till 7:45.
It was during a snowy and cold day with possible ice accumulations, cancelling MANY flights that day. Room itself looked good, bed comfortable enough for chain hotel and decor acceptable. Very small bathroom with "old fashioned" commode, those smaller rounded types one reviewer complained about but, still a functioning commode nonetheless. Hotel itself was in fairly decent condition and nice reception area. Very small "fitness center" with one elliptical, 3 treadmill machines and one resistance machine and bike machine. We didn't use any of them, too tired from jet lag. Helpful front desk, got us checked in estly @1:30pm, where as normal time is 3pm. Shuttle to airport was nice, offered a wakeup call but, we declined and were ready to go at 1:30am any way. Front desk and driver asked if we're ready, being the only riders, we got on and headed out early to airport in snowy morning. We recommend this hotel. Received good service and satisfied with our stay. Got our money's worth.
Stayed here for 1 night. Near the airport. Free shuttle from and to the airport. The breakfast was amazing. Friendly staff that went out of their way to make your stay pleasant. I really recommend it!
I'll write this here since the information does not seem anywhere else, and keep in mind this is what the guy at the desk told me so I'm just going off of his word: The 24-hour shuttle only comes after 10pm if you contact them first, so even though the Information Desk worker tells you otherwise and even though the sign near the Shuttle area at the airport indicates that it is operating every 30 minutes just like every other hotel near the area that we saw drive by multiple times in our hour of waiting, you are supposed to find a way to contact them regarding the bus so that you don't end up waiting for an hour like us due to not having coins to use a payphone and not having an American cell phone to call them. The young worker at the desk was very polite and accommodating for this situation, which we appreciated, and the manager above him was decent enough though blamed the third party booking site rather than thinking about responsibility at the end of the hotel - which is why I want to write this review to inform this hotel that if what the manager told me is true, there really should be a clear indication somewhere because I see many poor reviews for this place being based off of the shuttle. As far as the stay, the bathtub was clogged but it was otherwise generally okay. The breakfast buffet was actually quite good. Gym wasn't much in terms of weights so I just used the bike. It was good for a late arrival and early departure kind of stay.
Hotel should teach their staff how to be nice with guests. Staff was rude at reception. Bathtub/ sink were clogged. Breakfast was okay. I stayed at this property for 6 nights. They charged me $10/per day parking fee. I wouldn't recommend this property to stay near airport.
Room was clean, breakfast was good. The elevators are small, and in odd places. It's hard to figure out which one to get on and where you are when you get off. Shower was great. You are right next to the airport, so the first night we were surprised at how loud it was outside, and we were on the 3rd floor. Overall, it was a nice place to stay.
The Reservation Person could not speak English and it took 4 call backs to have an email confirmation sent. Then when my guests got there the reservation was messed up. I had to call and it took 20 minutes to Straighten it out with another person
Property was nice and updated. Desk employee was super helpful. Waited for the shuttle at O'Hare for almost an hour when it was supposed to come every 30 minutes. The driver didn't want to open the door for me and did not open it upon return to BW. Worst of all I could hear noises in the back of the van and realized there was someone hiding in the back. Totally creepy. The room looked nice but the handle on the toilet was broken and you had to make an effort to keep it from running. The smoke detector was missing. Also there was hair and bits of bar soap in the tub/shower. Lastly, asked for a 3:30 am wake up call and never got it.
Great customer service from the time I checked on till the time I checked out. Just here for the night room was what I needed a bed and a shower. They offer free WiFi and free breakfast. With shuttle service to and from airport.
ParkSleepFly site was overall a good booking. I did not realize I was automatically charged for two cars parking because I need to book two rooms. So if you need more than one room to sleep, but only one vehicle left for parking be careful on the book process. The Best Western O'Hare North/Elk Grove Village was clean, nice rooms and good breakfast. The stay and ride to the airport went well. The shuttle leaves on the hour. Our issue began on our journey home. I was traveling w/ my 4 children and 2 other adults. We called at 1pm from the airport to set up our shuttle back to the airport; not that it is the hotels fault, but we had been traveling since 3am and many travelers who book this service may be in the same boat. When we called the lady on the phone stated it would not be long and directed to the pick up location. 20 minutes later w/ many bags and cranky travelers we called to check on the time frame for pick up as the first lady had said it would be soon. The second person to answer was a gentleman who gave us a 10 to 15 minute time frame. Another 20 minutes passed. The third call was made, I was cranky at this time and could have been calmer. The lady who answered told be that the shuttle left at the same time no matter what and we should have known this information, due to the fine print I am sure. I told her I understood, however, each time we called we received different information from staff. She said the shuttle would be pulling in any minutes, 1 to 3 minutes to be exact. After this call I started searching for a taxi van in hopes of just paying for a ride in my frustration of sitting with all these kids and bags. Finally, the shuttle pulled in and my husband waved at the driver. He pulled over. My husband expressed we had been told different times now for several phone calls. The driver literally threw our luggage into the van. We then loaded into the van. On the way to the hotel the driver made a phone call and then proceeded to argue with my husband about not making the calls for pickup. My husband showed him the call log. The driver raised his voice and was really nasty. We pulled into the Rosemont Best Western where I asked the driver if this was the only location of drop off in which her replied "This is what happens when you complain. You got the wrong shuttle and now its your problem." At this time my father in law and he exchanged some not nice words as he was about to ditch a family of little kids. He did not open the doors to the van or luggage and went inside the hotel. Another person being picked up then looked at us and said " You called the wrong f***king place." and then flicked us off and walked off. The driver never asked us to state Best Western we needed to go to, he never questioned the fact that he did not receive a call. We unloaded our luggage from the van. At this time I went to the front desk and simply said I need the name of your driver. I had my husband calling a taxi outside with the children. A man whom I assume was a manager came out from the office. He said he would take care of everything and he was sorry because some kind of management had been present at the hotel and the driver was under a lot of stress. He called the other hotel to get the shuttle to come to the Rosemont location. We were picked up w/o issue and brought to our vehicle. The driver from the O'hare North/Elk Grove Village brought out bags w/ drinks and snacks as we loaded our car which was nice after all of the craziness, it held the kids for a little longer so we could get our luggage loaded. The name I was given for the rude, nasty driver at the Rosemont location was Jorge. I can overlook many things such as the time frame and trying to be patient when waiting with kids. The one thing that I can not overlook is leaving a family w/ small children outside and telling them "it's your problem now." This driver was so rude he provoked another guest to flick off my family. I hope it was just a bad day and not his usual behavior, but some words and actions can't be taken back.
Hotel is well located. It have shuttle bus to hotel which is very convenient. I came here before and they have a restaurant nearby. Now it's close and the closest one to eat is a Mc'Donalds across the street Rooms are perfectly clean and WiFi works well
The staff was very friendly and quite helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the shuttle service to and from O'Hare was excellent. This property met all expectations and the excellent guest services were a big plus. I'd definitely stay here again.
Excellent location, free shuttle to and from airport, easy access to CTS train system into Chicago. Good breakfast, friendly, great staff, clean rooms, generally great atmosphere. The staff remembered our party, asked about our plans, offered advise about the train system. Great long weekend!
Good if you need a hotel for a night near the airport. Needs updating BADLY! Staff at check in were not friendly, but they were not rude either. Decent for a quick stay. Elevators are VERY old and pretty sketchy.
Bathroom lighting is too dim. great shower. Handrail on sidewall would be a safety plus. hubby almost slipped because of the soap. love to have larger pillows, but, it's ok. I bring my own. we had to go outside the facility to get tokens. (gas station across the street. ( it was raining that day) we use bestwestern to earn points. breakfast is pretty good. airport and car rental is within walking distance to the hotel. (especially, since there is a lot of traffic in Rosemont.
We really liked this hotel. Nice, clean and modern style rooms. Large breakfast buffet. Good value for the money. Close proximity to the airport. Car rental is even in walking distance (only about 600-800 yards) across 2 roads.
Personnel at front desk were indifferent when we arrived and inattentive.Room was very clean and fresh. Breakfast was standard and convenient. We were DELIGHTED to find that we could walk about 4blocks to pick up rental car and avoid going back to O'Hare
I cant say enough about the friendly staff at this Hotel. I was greated with smiles and competency! We arrived early so the staff held our bags till we could check in. I would definately stay here again! Love Chicago!
The rooms are just fine for a short stay. Prices are reasonable. Employees are helpful and friendly. Convenient location near O'Hare Airport. They offer shuttle service to the airport. Breakfast is okay, but nothing special.
Excellent value for money . Clean and great spacious rooms . Helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast . Fridge and microwave in room and good WiFi access. We are from the UK and will definitely use again on our next visit to Chicago !
I am currently staying at the hotel and have experienced the most unwelcomed and uncomfortable stay. My room was not cleaned yesterday and when I called the front desk i was told to talk to someone in morning as the overnight staff wasn't aware of cleaning details. We asked for some clean towels which we were denied of at first but later a housekeeping person came to hand over. When I called in the morning, i was clearly told that since i didn't answer the phone, my room was not cleaned. It was expected that room should be cleaned automatically as that's exactly how it worked with our 2nd room. No one called to confirm but room was cleaned.Later she called herself and started accusing us that have we taken pictures of the uncleaned room. I don't understand why I have to take pictures to prove room was not cleaned. I don't see any good reason why a customer would lie that room wasn't cleaned. And if this is what usually happens and hotel has experienced such guests, front desk should have come right away to check when we called during late evening to complain. After few minutes I called back the front desk and asked her to do some explaining. She said she wouldn't talk to me. She doesn't want to talk me. I was speechless. Is this the Best Westerns standard to talk to the customer. I wasn't swearing or yelling. I was definitely angry but still my tone was controlled. This attitude is totally unacceptable, front desk needs to learn to hear customers problem. Name of the front desk agent is Jessica. She needs some good training to deal with the customers. I often book BW for my vacation stays and needleas to stay the company just lost one of it's loyal customers.
Erica is awesome she helped us navigate Chicago and she made are stay at the hotel great. All of the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. Housekeeping gets five stars. Your staff at breakfast also get five stars.
I should have known when the floor felt greasy when I entered my room. But, I assumed they used the wrong cleaner. It seemed OK and we settled in, plugging in our chargers. None of the outlets worked. To their credit, they sent maintenance. Power strip to the wall fixed the issue, which was probably an improperly wired bedside outlet. While in bed I notice the ceiling sprinkler did not have the usual escutcheon, it was a slit in the ceiling with a sprinkler sticking out. Weird. When I was ready to sleep I pulled the covers back and saw a long, black curly hair. We are all blonde. So, I called the desk and asked for a bed change. No housekeeping was on duty, so I had to change rooms. Of course, I had to go down myself and get a key. The next room seemed passable, clean and workable. We were so tired so we went to sleep. The next morning I noticed another missing escutcheon but this time, it was painted over with stucco. I doubt any self respecting fire marshall would have passed these rooms. Then the elevator was treacherous, no certificate in there either, so one wonders if it is even inspected? Breakfast was fine except they were out of eggs, they had not been delivered yet. While the staff was friendly and did their best, I would avoid this if you have a choice!
We stayed here overnight and it was a really great place. Our room was very spacious and we slept well on the bed. The shuttle service to the hotel is great and it was pretty easy to find the pickup point after calling the hotel to ask. The staff were very friendly and helpful with our questions and even hooked us up with some toothpaste which we'd forgotten. The breakfast left a little to be desired but otherwise a really good airport hotel. Also far enough away from the airport so as the noise doesn't really bother you.
Hotel is near O Hare so that is good. Fair price! However, the communication about where to pick up van on return was very poor. Lisa, the person who answered phone was making excuses about why the van was not coming and when asked to describe where the pick zone would be just wasn't clear. 2 suggestions: HAve all employees who will be helping travels ride the van and understand where to be picked up. 2. Provide a writeen desription and diagram of where to pick up vans. Thanks
There are so many hotels around O'Hare International Airport ... one has tough time to decide. Over the past 7 years I stayed in 2 dozen of different hotels but I like this one most. Why? Great location (close to rental car center); very reasonable prices; nice quiet rooms and good service. Only one suggestion ... get at least two people for breakfast room.
I had used four different Best Westerns for a week all over illinois and Michigan. They were all clean and comfortable, even the older ones. Then I stayed at the O'Hare Best Western in Rosemont. It was beautifully updated in the current grey tone style. The food was great and the staff friendly and helpful. The problem came when we wanted to use our restroom. It was soooo tiny. There was no counter space to lay toiletries on. We actually had to close the toilet so things wouldn't fall in! There was also no where to hang towels or other items. Not a single towel rack or ring. I like to stay at B W's, but this deficiency made our stay less than comfortable. Look at the picture below and see for yourself!
We use this location for a couple of reasons Chicago gets really busy with people every where and traffic is crazy so we get away from the city and my job is next door so no 2 hours traveling back and forth.
The hotel has shuttle to and from Chicago O'Hare airport. We booked for one night for very early next morning flight. The room with two queen beds, clean, and comfort. We could not have hotel breakfast since we departed at dawn. It was a good transit hotel.
I selected this hotel because it is close to the airport and easy to find with a rental car. After a long flight you do not want to drive tio far away. The car rental center was only a short distance away.
I would never stay at this hotel/use their shuttle service again. I wish I would have read the reviews but this was a last minute booking. We waited for over an hour to get picked up by the shuttle that is supposed to come every 30 minutes.
The staff is wonderful and friendly. The room we had was a bit small but very clean and modern. The breakfast was very good with ample seating. I do recommend this place. There is a shuttle available however we did not use it.
We arrived at O'Hare airport at about 0130 am. We called the hotel to ask to be picked up by the hotel shuttle. The phone rang, and rang, and rang. My wife and I were already trying to figure out alternative transportation when, after at least 30 rings, someone finally answered the phone. This was very upsetting. As for our stay, the hotel itself was acceptably clean but old and poorly maintained. Staff was often rude. My wife called the front desk to ask for extra pillows and was told, “I'll see what I can do.” My daughter stayed at Howard Johnson's just a mile further away from O'Hare for half the price we paid for Best Western. No shuttle and no breakfast there, but $60 less per night. We'll stay there next time
We chose this hotel when we were forced to overnight in Chicago due to weather cancellations for our flight. We arrived into the airport late and called to find out where to meet the hotel shuttle... this took 3 phone calls to finally understand where we were supposed to go because the hotel receptionist said she “was unfamiliar with the airport”. Really? Unfamiliar? Next we waited for about 40 minutes for the shuttle. Then upon check-in we encountered one of the rudest receptionists ever at a hotel. She informed us that we would have to take a much earlier shuttle back to the airport the next morning, and when we complained about this, we were told very loudly that we were “being rude”. Excuse me? If I had been able to get a refund I would have demanded it. It's 10:40 pm and we are starving and tired. The front desk needs some serious training at this hotel on customer service and basic human empathy.
Restful stay between flights at O'Hare. Reliable shuttle to and from the airport. Guest laundry is a nice added amenity when traveling many days. Staff are warm, helpful and seem genuine. Rooms have been "brushed up" and updated.
Had short stay in Chicago and needed to be.close to the airport to save commute time. Airport is 10 minutes from airport. They have free shuttle pick up and drop off for the airport. Be sure to reserve your shuttle time back to the airport. Staff will enforce the reservations as some guests thought they could just jump a shuttle without a reservation. The driver sorted the problem out using the reservation list. They should have used the reservation list from the get go as I was annoyed that there was no room for us when we were first on that particular shuttle reservation list. We did get on the shuttle for the time we reserved and those who had not followed procedure were removed and instructed to get the next available shuttle. The staff asks you upon check in if you need a shuttle so I don't know how other guests could have missed that important part. All was resolved. Lobby looks dated and could use an update in decor. It felt like there was no air conditioning in the lobby. Rooms were fine. The sound of the planes was not loud at all. Some parts of the hall needed an update. Overall fine for an overnight stay which is what hotels near the airport are truly for. Would stay here again.
Ideal and restful location at the end of a long trip. 24 hours here before our return flights. Good shuttle to the airport, good service and comfortable. Great adjoining restaurant and bar too. Busy with business and families and very well sound proofed despite its proximity to the airport.
This was a good hotel stay. We were pleased because it was close to O'Hare while being quiet, clean, and comfortable. Also, their airport shuttle begins running at 5am, which is handy for early flights. Make sure you reserve your shuttle time. The front desk overbooked our shuttle, but they immediately corrected the issue by paying for us to get a taxi. The ride to the airport is only about 10 mins (depending on traffic). The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, including an iron and hairdryer.
This Best Western was close to Ohare airport with shuttle service which was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the clean rooms and lobby. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if traveling to the Chicago area.
I didn't believe the description and pictures on the booking site represented this hotel. Hotel is in dire need of an update. Much better hotels in vicinity for the price. Reception area is not inviting at all. Rooms totally average. Breakfast choice ok but breakfast area needs keeping clean and refreshing more frequently.
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY: We chose to stay at this hotel because we had a layover at the airport on our way home from our honeymoon. We chose it because it was affordable and close to the airport. Pros: It is affordable and close to the airport and free subpar continental breakfast Cons: We had to wait well past our scheduled shuttle pick up time to actually be picked up from the airport. It took about an hour for us to be picked up. (Even though the hotel is only 6 minutes away from the airport in heavy traffic.)The facility itself is feels and looks outdated and old. The staff are incredibly rude and and short with their guests. As we were checking in we witnessed another staff member having a very loud verbal altercation with a guest. (Regardless of how rude or wrong the guest may be it is never acceptable for any staff to raise their voice, EVER.) We were informed that we needed to be downstairs at 6:05 am to board the shuttle bus to go back to the airport to catch our flight. When we arrived to board the shuttle bus we were told at 6:03am that the bus had already left and had been gone because it was full. We were chastised for not signing up to board the shuttle bus. Unfortunately, we were never told to sign up for a shuttle bus pickup time, as previously mentioned above. We then had to wait an additional 30 minutes in the lobby for the next shuttle to arrive. Overall our experience wasn't the best. I do not believe that affordability should compromise service. I would NOT recommend this hotel.
Shuttle bus service is really TERRIBLE!!! Breakfast milk tastes bitter! So the shuttle buses should be coming every 30mins. We arrived at the airport at 2:30 pm and got on the shuttle bus at 4pm. In other words we waited an hour and a half (MORE THAN 90mins) while there is actually only 10mins driving distance from airport to hotel. Called the hotel 4 or 5 times and didn't get any explanation nor apology. Stop bullshxting me. If the driver has an accident, just say that he has an accident or whatever. Stop telling lies such as “he's on the way”, or “there might be traffic”, or “he'll be there in ANY MINUTE”, or “he'll be there in less than 10mins”, while we actually waited 50 MORE mins for the shuttle bus. If you were honest at the very beginning we could have just take a cab instead. As I said, there is only 10mins driving distance from O'Hare so I don't get why it took so long because they never gave me any explanation. AND, on the way back, I didn't see any traffic. Breakfast milk tastes BITTER. Smells weird.
Conveniently located near Chicago's O'Hare airport it is a bit pricey for its accompanying amenities. It has good breakfast but space and food is limited at times (ran out of coffee). The building doesn't look appealing from the outside either. The rooms, however, are quite clean and comfortable.
Okay hotel for the $. Clean rooms with exception of windows. They definitely need a window washer. Breakfast pretty good. Definitely older hotel . First night and morning somebody trying to get in our room.
Hotel is well situated for the airport and the staff are friendly. The room was clean and a fairly good hotel for one night. The breakfast was fair although a lot of the equipment wasn't functioning. No hot water in coffee machine, orange juice was of, yoghurt machine and pancake maker out of order. Overall not too bad for an overnight stop.
I stayed for two nights at this hotel, excellent staffing. Very professional prompt airport shuttle. Healthy breakfast and owner Suresh and Raj were very welcoming and helpful. Way to Go! Keep up your good work for busy traveling passengers!!
Summary: I stayed a total of 15hours at this hotel. The room and hotel were clean, recently renovated, and the breakfast was a simple yet good continental breakfast, which was included in the price. My stay summary - I arrived, dumped my one bag, cleaned up, left for the evening, came back, slept, ate breakfast, and checked out the next morning. REMINDER: It is an airport hotel - airport hotels are for in and out. If an airport hotel is clean and has a shuttle, then it gets 5 stars. Airport hotels are not meant to be 5-star resorts.
Warm welcome after a long international flight . Clean room, bed and nice shower . Would stay again in between travels . Looking forward to breakfast and then hopping into the shuttle for my next flight :-)
Nice and friendly front desk staff. Room was big. Very convenience power outlet locations. Nice and clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was delicious; fresh yogurt, waffle, fruits, omelettes, and more. Free airport shuttle. Good location only 15 minutes from the airport.
Not having a restaurant, nor a bar was a great disappointment. The food and drinks at the self service were of a low quality and indeed tasteless. The staff were indeed quite professional and friendly and the room was good also.
Great hotel. Staff very friendly. Please check parking fees. I booked through priceline and either it wasn't mention or I missed it but I wasnt expecting to have to pay a parking fee. Other than that I would stay here again. Easy short drive to Stephen Convention Center where I was going.
Whatever your terminal at arrival at O'Hare you need to take the free bus to terminal 2. Then cross the road via the underpass and the pick up point from all hotels shuttles are behind the Hilton hotel, The Best Western stops at the door number 2. There are other Best Western Suttles but only the Rosemount will take you. While you wait there you will see that the other hotels run more frequently than the best western, basically They run every half an hour. The hotel itself is ok, confortable rooms, small gym, nice toiletries, and complementary breakfast. The breakfast is very basic and have no sugar free options so if you are diabetic you can only have a spoon of scramble eggs and some other thing that I could not make what is was. Check in process and check out was very smooth. The only problem is that they will take a deposit when you check in (al though you pay in advance to your stay) and they will refund it when you check out. Most UK bank will take 5 days to refund the money. To go to downtown chicago you will have to go back to the airport where you will take the train E2 that only cost 5 dollars, and the ride is about 45 minutes. On your way back it on cost 3 dollars. (Its more expensive when you buy it in the airport station). The staff in the hotel are very friendly, and you have in reception a board with all the flights departures live.
A family member stayed here for 2 weeks while their apartment was being repainted and freshened. Nice affordable clean accommodations. Breakfast is included daily and is the typical hotel expected breakfast type; self-made waffles, bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels etc.
I have stayed at this hotel before and on this trip twice. Everything went smoothly. The hotel has been renovated. Though the hotel has a very common airport-style hotel look on the outside, the lobby was redesigned, the rooms all redone, and the décor and appointments are very nice. If you want less airport noise, ask for the backside, otherwise the parking lot side faces the airport and main parking lot. There are rooms farther from the lobby area but there are additional entrances, accessible only with your key. I also was able to park my car for the duration of my trip for a fee and shuttled to and from the airport. That was fantastic. Jessica and Mari were great. Super service!
Very convenient to and from the O'hare airport. Did not get wake up call for early morning shuttle to the airport. Lucky that I didn't miss my flight. I can't comment on the breakfast because it was served after I left.
We called at 10:15pm and we told the next pick up would be at 10:45. We went to the gate and sit outside and elated. By 11:10pm they hadn't showed up called back. He said they were almost there. 10 minutes later I called back and the person said the driver hadn't left yet but would be leaving soon. 11:30pmI called back and was put on hold for five minutes I finally hung up and called and Uber. At 11:45 best western finally showed up. Besides being extremely late this was the worst customer service I've ever had
The only positive thing to say about this hotel is their nice rooms, which are spacious, contemporary and even have a large fridge. The bathroom however desperatly needs renovation and particularly removal of mould! Check-in was vry slow despite the room being pre-paid, and breakfast is ineffable.
It's an old building but they keep it clean. Great staff. I missed breakfast so can't comment on it. The parking sucks. They do have parking out back but it's two way and shld be only one way. I had a hard time parking my truck. So compact out back is better.
We have stayed here twice when catching an early flight out of Chicago O'Hare. The hotel is easy to get to and close to the airport. The rooms are nice. They are simple yet clean. The shuttle service to and from the airport is excellent. Both times we were flying international and they had us to our terminal in plenty of time. When we returned, we called and they told us exactly where and when to meet them. There is a nice little bar/restaurant attached to this hotel. It was a nice place to grab a quick meal before heading to bed. The rooms really are nothing special but they are nothing bad either. They are clean and comfortable.
If you are planning to “stay and park” at this hotel and use the “shuttle service” to Ohare airport, DONT DO IT! This hotel has TERRIBLE costumer service. We were never able to use the shuttle as it's supposedly first come, first serve to get to the airport. Then, we were told the shuttle picks up every 15 minutes. After a red eye flight from Hawaii. We waited over an hour and the shuttle never came. A driver from the Marriott ended up driving us to the hotel to get to our car.
We stayed at this hotel because we wanted to use the shuttle service to the airport. We were told there was no room for us on the shuttle when we needed to leave at 8am. So we had to take a cab. When we returned we called the hotel and we were told the shuttle runs every 15 minutes so we waited and waited and waited. We called 3 times to find out where the shuttle was and each time we were told they were on their way. We waited OVER AN HOUR and ended up getting a cab back to the hotel. We will never use this hotel service again.
The hotel has been remodeled and was very clean! The staff was very helpful and friendly! The free breakfast had a ton of options and was very good! The hotel is walking distance to the Allstate Arena and enjoyed walking back to the bar/restaurant next door after our concert for dinner. Overall a great value!
We ended up staying here due to a canceled flight and a big storm. We appreciated the shuttle drivers who got us late and returned us early. The room was nice and amazingly quiet. We slept 4 hours & were gone so cannot comment on amenities or breakfast.
Maintenance in the bathroom needs some work. Water ran out the bathtub handle. Elevators were not working at the time. Room was clean. Good breakfast. Staff was a little short with people. Parking was a little but tight.
Freshly renovated BW with clean and comfortable rooms, quick elevators, plenty of breakfast options and a friendly attendant to keep the selections available during the breakfast "rush". Very close to O'Hare for ease of being delivered to our Terminals. Early arrival was possible and late checkout was appreciated, too. overnight Parking fee of $15.00 is annoying but it seems "to be the trend" in this region near O'Hare.
I was given a room where the toilet flush was not working. I highlighted the issue as soon I walked into the room. I was promised the issue will be fixed by the house technician immediately and to stop as well the constant run of water. That was the start of the waiting game. It took ages , numerous phone calls. At the end my phone calls weren't answered anymore after I was hearing the same standard phrases. That shows how bad the service at reception is. Hotel manager had obviously just left and I was not given another room. Have to wait now for my lift to get out of this place. Sadly I have to wait for my lift for my ongoing journey about 10hrs. Poor service, definitely will NOT stay here again. Reminded me of ‘Shining' anyway.
Stayed at BW @ OHare during winter storm Harper this winter, during a volleyball tournament 3 miles away and the stay was a very good experience. They plowed the parking lots the next morning, after a substantial snowstorm and had a shovel at the front door to help dig out the vehicles. Breakfast was very good and the front desk staff was very cordial and helpful. I will definitely stay there again. We loved the location of the hotel for our ball tournament in Rosemont. We did not have to use the freeways to come and go each day.
Trying to make it home after a business conference in Phoenix, we found out our flight was cancelled upon landing in Chicago (thanks to Winter Storm Harper). I quickly looked for a good deal close to the airport and found this Best Western. We were welcomed in from the cold and immediately given our room. Then went to dinner next door at Shoeless Joe's Ale House which also was great: atmosphere, friendly staff and wonderful food!! Even though the storm put us out in the cold, we found a safe "port" in Chicago with this Best Western.
The guy at the reception is very helpful. The hotel is accepting cash as mode of payment. I moved to the US and canceled all my cards. Chicago was my connecting flight going to Texas. I need a place to stay for my 10 hours layover and it was -7°C at that time. I first went to Sheraton and Holiday Inn but they don't accept cash. I tried this hotel as it is close to the airport too. Reasonable price and good service. Rooms were clean and spacious. The driver was very helpful. We didn't wait for the next scheduled bus to the airport instead he made it sure to send me and another customer to the airport on time.
I booked this trip through a park, sleep, fly website. I had to put down a deposit and was supposed to pay the remainder upon check in. My trip is not for another month and I looked at my account today and was charged for the entire room. I called the hotel and was told, "Sorry, we accidentally charged you for Jan 6 instead of February 6." That is completely unacceptable. I was told a manager "Danny" would not be available until later and when call me then. They do not seem to care when it isn't their money.
This hotel was highly rated and so I stayed there when I had an overnight layover while traveling. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. There was a shuttle to get there. The breakfast was pretty good with several options: cereal, eggs and sausage and bacon, pancakes, oatmeal, etc. I'd stay here again.
Stayed for 2 nights and found the hotel to be comfortable with good shower and good size room. Breakfast was a bonus and a laundry - yeh got some washing done. Shuttle service to the airport was excellent which we made good use of as from the airport you could pick up the subway into Chicago business centre or the bus links to various locations. On our return at the end of the day we just called the hotel and the shuttle came and picked us up, perfect. The 2 ladies we dealt with at reception Maricela and Nidia were really helpful. Yes we'd stay again
This is pictured of broken window and ripped up chair in room they give us. They had tape on broken window. This didn't happen overnight. They have been like this for some time. Steer clear of this dump. What a dump
Totally OK as an airport motel close to O'Hare. Room seemed relatively new and in good condition, save for one defect (see below). Very close to O'Hare. Breakfast was better than expected. Everything was fine. It's not fancy, but it's decent. The one shocking surprise was the desk chair in the room -- which had a big hole in it! (see photo)
This hotel is at about 15 Mjnutes distance from the airport. Ideal to stay if you have flight next day early. Reception : is small and lobby is not very impressive. Close to it there is dining area for morning Breakfast. It has a number of rooms. I was given a room on floor 3 which was a road facing room still the noise level inside the room was not high. The lifts are not up to the mark. I used two lifts and both were jerky and noisy. Room was really nice and so was the bathroom. No complementary water found inside the room, though the receptionist confirm me that 01 bottle is complimentary. I came back to the reception to buy bottles of water and inform the receptionist about it to which her attitude was indifferent. The breakfast was included in my package. But the varaity is not there. Even the fruits they served were not freash but tinned. Dont expect too much out there. So over all ok for one night stand. Dk
Hotel is located within 10 min. walk to Allstate Arena, close to airport, and next to a sports bar.Parking seems to be limited, my room was clean, spacious, with wonderful beds! Will definitely recommend and will stay again!! Thanks Best Western!!
Booked through Hotels.com Check in 4pm... rude / curt. Upcharged for parking on a unsnow plowed a lot “Thanks“. Room. Filthy. Bathroom sink doesn't drain growing black mold above the tub again “Thanks”. First time I slept in a hotel with all my clothes on. Awful. Bye bye!
Stayed one night and will not come back. I arrived at O'hare at midnight on Sunday and had to wait an hour for the airport shuttle. When I told the driver about my wait time he got very defensive. He opened the car door and I thought he was going to beat me up. He threatened to throw me out of the van. He said he was waiting at door 2 but I never saw him there although I could see many other hotel shuttles come and go. At the hotel they said the shuttle needs to be requested after 11:30 pm but this is not indicated anywhere. The next day I requested a late check out (1 pm instead of 12 pm) and was told that it is not possible and that I will be charged for that. I just wanted to gather my stuff and run away.
The hotel was really nice and the staff were very friendly. 5 minutes drive from the step 2 CS center. Breakfast was good. The hotel looks a little bit old in the outside, however, the room was completely remodeled. Really close to O'Hare it has a shuttle service to the airport. It was a good experience .
Hotel is very close to OHare, breakfast provided with room. Free shuttle service. I was lucky that shuttle was running fast, my room was nothing special. Did have microwave and small refrigerator in room. My bathroom had black mold above shower and paint peeling on ceiling. Not sure why this has not been taken care of. This is second time I've stayed at this property in past year. I wasn't overly impressed the first time either but if you need a place for a night location is good.
We stayed here on our way to Ireland and again on our return. The staff was always friendly and the room was very clean. It was Halloween the morning we departed and the staff was wearing costumes...so fun. The shuttle service is excellent too. It was a great beginning and ending to our trip. Thank you!
This Best Western may not look like much from the outside but its recently updated rooms are quite comfortable. The hotel is quiet, no airplane noise. The front desk is friendly and efficient, handling the check-in quickly despite it coming in waves when the shuttle arrives. The shuttle ran like clockwork for me. The free breakfast is decent. The price is right. I am a fussy traveler and tend to stay in higher priced hotels that yes would have higher quality towels and some slightly better touches. But this is a solid, well run low priced hotel just a very short shuttle ride from O'Hare. I'd recommend it without hesitancy the next time that United airlines cancels your flight or strands you and throws you in the streets of the Chicago suburbs.
We waited over 1 hour for the shuttle at the airport. We were in the right place, spoke to the hotel 3 different times. They claimed the shuttle had been there and we must have missed it. There were 4 adults standing there, we certainly did not miss a shuttle bus! We ended up paying for a taxi and won't stay here when traveling again! The Marriott shuttle was there 4 times while we were there, the driver got out and yelled the hotel name, I would definitely recommend this hotel over Best Western!
Chose this hotel as it offers a hotel shuttle and maybe 10 minutes from Ohare. The hotel itself is very nice, the bed seemed to be missing a board or something in the middle as it sagged very bad. They normally have a place to purchase snacks but it was empty this time with no real reason why. Breakfast is what you normally get being included with your room. The clerk was very friendly.
I recently stayed at this hotel on both ends of a trip flying out of O'Hare Airport. I was a bit stumped as to how to rate this hotel. It is extremely convenient to the airport and the shuttle service was very good. The price was quite good as well and the cost to leave my car at the hotel for the extent of my trip was very inexpensive. The problem is that the hotel is very old and in need of a significant overhaul. The room that I stayed in on the night prior to my trip was on the first floor and appeared to have been updated sometime in the not to distant past. There was a small stain on the carpet but everything was clean and in working order. The room that I stayed in on the night that I returned was on the second floor and was in poor shape. The carpet was badly stained in several places, the furniture was ripped and needed to be replaced. The faucet in the bathroom didn't function properly and the toilet randomly would start running. The door didn't have a metal stop or even a chain to prevent unwanted entry. I don't know if I would stay here again or not. There are many other hotels nearby throughout the range of prices and I likely would try one of those on my next trip.
This hotel is conveniently located near the airport yet you don't hear the planes They have shuttle service as well as great hotel service. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the prices are very reasonable
The staff at the Best Western O'Hare was excellent. This is a great place to stay and park if you are leaving on a trip. The renovations made over the last few years have been excellent. Thanks for the great service and punctuality.
I picked Best Western cause I have never been disappointed until this property. The 1st impression at the entry is disappointing to say the least even the front desk. The shuttle took over an hour and 4 phone calls to say he was on his way which just wasn't true. The front desk clerk, Danny was friendly and helpful. He apologized for the shuttle taking so long. We had just come back from Europe and no glitches until this which really put a kink on our return. The hallway carpet smelled even of urine. The rooms though were updated and comfortable except for the tub and toilet. The beds and ac were great! The breakfast was good also.
I'm currently staying in the hotel in Room 357 and I have mainly only one problem. Getting my room cleaned. Two days ago I had to ask at Reception to get it done. Yesterday I was out from 1:30-8:30 and my room wasn't touched. Again this morning I was out from 8:30-11:30 and still no room cleaning done. When I spoke with Reception twice this morning they told me that sometimes they "forget". Well no one forgot to charge me for a six-night stay. I even explained to Reception that I am unwell and cannot spend long times out in order to allow Housekeeping time to clean. I have seen them just outside my door yet they don't clean. I even asked Reception for simply a three-day supply of towels and soap so I wont have to impose on them any further. I'm still waiting. I might expect this from a low budget, no name hotel, but Best Western is known worldwide. And one other thing. It is very rude and impolite to wash down the seating area outside the hotel entrance when guests are sitting only a couple of feet away. Either provide more seating or wait until no one is there.
First, I would like to say, this hotel probably has the best breakfast of any hotel I have been to! They had fresh made cheese or veggie omelettes, potatoes, yogurt station, and nice assortment of bread and bagels, plus more! You could even put strawberry topping on your waffle or pancake. And the workers in the dining area were also very friendly too! Room was nice and comfortable with no issues. Workout room was well equipped, wish I would have had the time to use it. There is a free shuttle that runs from the hotel to the airport and vice versa, so getting to the train to get downtown was pretty easy. Shoeless Joe's Ale House is next door and Target is only about half a mile walk from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again!
Check in was slow and front desk clerk was in a bad mood. They will not give you loyalty points if you book through a corporate website like Egencia. It's the only way I can book hotels so I'll focus on the many other chains who welcome me and my loyalty.
Drove cross country to deliver a vehicle to Daughter, in Champaign.Didn't want to get up a ZERO DARK THIRTY. to get a flight from O'Hare.Best Western gad a room, with a shuttle service to airport. Room is big and comfortable. The price is also affordable, I'm spoiled I stay at Military Bases when I can, but when I can't I look for Best Western.
The parking lot was full upon arrival. When I told staff this they advised me to park down the street near a McDonald's parking lot. I did this but was concerned because I did not see any Best Western parking signs. All I saw were unauthorized vehicles towed at owners expense. When I returned to the motel I made sure I was in the right place. Another staff member told me no. I was pretty upset after having to drive and walk back from the McDonald's parking lot then walk back to my car to retrieve it. She directed me to a parking garage next door owned by another business. While sitting in my room which faced the back of the motel parking lot. I witnessed vehicle after vehicle driving around looking for a parking spot. It appeared to me that staff was not directing the new check in's to the parking garage next door. The motel was fully booked and needed the extra parking area but they were not telling people right away about the parking available next door. The motel must have had to pay the parking garage next door for the extra parking so staff was hesitant to tell people about extra parking. Had I not asked again about the parking down the street I would have been towed and incurred a great extra expense. I would have had no recourse either. Thank you for reading this.
We spent one night here so we could get to the airport easily the next day at the end of a longer trip. It was what you expect in an airport hotel. Clean, friendly service, close to the airport. Wish the breakfast was better but it was what most places do. It was quiet and comfortable and we got a good nights rest.
Easy airport access and transportation. Room was clean and was just redone. Was one of the best overnight stays and well worth the price I paid. I arrived early AM and a room was ready for me to check in.
I stayed one night before heading into downtown Chicago. The shuttle pick up at the airport and departure the next morning were on time. Check in was quick. The room was fine although the bathroom is a little small. The hotel is next door to the sports bar Shoeless Joe's where you could purchase dinner . The breakfast was good and had a sufficient number of choices.
Got stranded in O'Hare and decided to spend the night nearby. A lot of choices but for the $$ and the shuttle service this is really worth it. Danny or Dani, at the front desk, you are an asset for this company, your customer service and simple approach to what you do are second to none. I hope your bosses know how valuable you are. I was having a bad day with all the missed flight connection and you sold me to your hotel when I called. I would definitely stay here again. Five star for service and great breakfast options from pancakes to waffles , sausage, bacon, omlettes and top shelf yogurts. Thank you
The first night we stayed our room smelled like mildew, we did not have towels or a shower curtain, then they moved us into a new room the next day and I forgot my memory foam pillow and a shirt in the room but when I went to the desk they said housekeeping did not find either of them which I find hard to believe. Their breakfast was not good... eggs were cold and watery. I don't normally complain but we did not have a pleasant visit with this Best Western and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
10 minutes drive from the airport. Good room, good location to travel in and out of Chicago. Not super expensive like downtown hotels. Nearby malls, services, shops and restaurants. I would travel and stay there again. Car park for free. Internet for free. Breakfast is acceptable. Air conditioning good. Lifts are a bit old.
Needed a place last minute and this was one of the only places around. Pleasant surprise, very clean, friendly staff, nice breakfast area, kid friendly pool etc. Rooms were comfortable, good job folks.
My daughter's flight was cancelled while she was at O'hare. I called Best Western as many of the other hotels were booked due to the weather. The hotel reception staff was amazing. They were extremely friendly, quick and helpful. The hotel shuttle number was provided so she didn't have to wait. They helped her get to where she needed to go. The room was very clean, roomy and nice. Thank you to all the staff who bent over backwards to help her out!
I had to stay near the airport and found a room here. Great service, clean property. Everybody was really friendly. I was lucky to find a room, because they were mostly sold out. I'd do it again if I had to!
I reported 3 times that room tv wasn't working and they never fix it. They told me in the same 3 times that they will fix it and it never happen. Maintenance man (IVAN) told me that they will offer some kind of solution but, also, nothing happen. No coffee on breakfast and not too much stuff.
The Best Western is a typical Airport hotel, located just 5 minutes by car (or free shuttle bus) from international Terminal (bus pick up is in front of arrival door 5E). The room is spacious and equipped with coffee/tea maker, microwave and king bed. The complementary breakfast is much better than in other hotels I experienced, eg scrambled eggs, several yogurts, waffles and pancakes are provided. The only drawback is the WiFi which is unstable sometimes (downloads crashes) and requires some performance improvements. Nevertheless, if you have a break on your trip in Chicago, this hotel for sure is one of the better choices.
I stayed in a room with a queen sized bed. The bed mattress and pillows were quite comfortable. The room also had a fridge, microwave, desk and office chair. The room came with free wifi that was alternately slow and unusable. The room was small but it was clean and well appointed.
This hotel appears to be recently remodeled. We had kind, excellent service from the time our shuttle driver picked us up until we checked out 2 days later. McDonald's was across the street. Complimentary shuttle to/from the airport and not too from downtown made this hotel convenient. The room was clean with everything we needed. Breakfast was decent. Hot and cold items were available. We would definitely go back.
This hotel did the trick for a stop over. The shuttle wait was around 20 mins and it wasn't too far away. The room was pretty standard, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was acceptable but not outstanding. Overall, I would stay here again for one night.
No frills, clean and moderately updated. There is only one elevator and it needs some work. Parking lot is tight, but the hotel was busy and booked up. Shuttle service is every 30 minutes. Staff were great! Breakfast is ok.
It was very disappointing to see very dated cheap motel branded as a Best Western hotel. Check in ves extremely slow, people were lining up waiting to be checked in. Room was okay, very clean and everything was in working order.
Good hotel for 1 night stay - great room, internet - breakfast good too. Decision made based on availability and closeness to the airport. Room very clean - some expected turbulence at the front desk since there seemed to be construction
Great hotel ivan and danny took care of our customer service issues and most of all made us feel like we were at home. i think best western is starting to look and service like a real hotel and thats awesome.
The hotel is 10-minute drive to the Ohare airpot and the hotel offers free shuttle every 30 minutes. The location is not far from the highway. However, if you choose to stay at rooms, it is very quiet and you won't be bothered by the traffic outside. The front desk is very nice and offers the guests the ride to the fashion outlet. What I don't like is that the sheet is not clean. I saw dirty spots on the white linen and it disgusted me.
Great Hotel I would not change a thing. Front desk was very hospitable Breakfast was clean and food was awesome Housekeeping the room was spotless and the maids were quite in the morning when I had to sleep in
The room was very comfortable and well maintained. The parking can get crowded and the lobby is cramped due to remodeling. The amenities in the bathroom were excellent. The bed provided a good night's rest. The staff was very professional, even though they were busy. I would stay here again!
Perfect place to stay if you're flying. Clean, quiet, convenient shuttle service. For a fee we were able to leave our car. Early flight shuttle was not a problem. Breakfast was provided early enough to accommodate early flights.
When I arrived, there was a wait of approximately 10-15 minutes before I could check-in. That's annoying, but understandable. Once checked in and in my room, I discovered the first of many issues I had with the hotel: a non-functioning TV. I called the front desk, who called maintenance. The maintenance guy came to my room, assessed the situation and told me the problem was with the cable and nothing could be done until the following day. He offered me to switch rooms (which I did) where the cable was only slightly better. There was no follow-up from the hotel on this over the 3 days I was at the hotel (2-night stay). The hotel is in disrepair and is dirty. Among the things I took pictures of and noted are: 1. Room door that doesn't automatically close. It must be pushed to securely close. This is a safety hazard. Room doors should automatically close. 2. Scratched wall and exposed pencil markings where mirror goes in the room. Repair needed. 3. Wipes to clean exercise equipment in exercise room. Old and dry. Needs replacing. 4. Arm of chair in room. Old and falling apart. Needs replacement. 5. Coffee on floor of elevator during the 3 day stay. Never cleaned up. Poor maintenance. 6. Grainy picture of TV in second room. First room was even worse. Poor cable system. Needs repair. 7. Toilet seat broken in room. In need of repair. 8. Water cooler in exercise room empty with no cups. Poor maintenance of facility. IThe hotel is in terrible condition and in dire need of maintenance and cleaning. I rate this hotel extremely low.
Clearly an older hotel that has gone through some cosmetic updates but still has a way to go. The rooms are well decorated but rather small, especially the bathrooms and they clearly need to do some sound proofing because you can hear everything going on outside. The bed was extremely comfortable but the office chair didn't go high enough to work at the desk.
I booked myself in for a night, I was picked up by them when arrived and I could book the shuttle for the next morning leaving at 4:35 am, the service is included into the payment.. cool! The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, room and bathroom were clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Out dated but clean, front desk was swamped, nowhere to park lot was full. They told us to just drive around and keep looking. Convenient to airport though and for the most part clean. Our bathroom door didn't close which was annoying.
We stayed on 3/31/18 and found a great price for hotel near O'Hare and the Allstate Arena. While the ad listed as pet friendly, we were glad we didn't bring our dogs as we didn't find a grassy area near the hotel. However, they do provide a free shuttle which we used to go to the Allstate Arena, saving us the hassle of moving our car and paying to park. Be advised the hotel parking lot is compact, so big vehicles such as pickup trucks may have difficulty getting in/out. Room itself was fine, equipped with microwave, fridge and coffee. Bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet. Elevator access to second floor was limited, especially going down from upper floors which would be a handicap issue.
Great price, amenities, staff, and free breakfast! A must if you are going to stay in ORD! The hotel is located a 5 minute drive from ORD, with shuttle service every 30 minutes. I come here every week for business and love it!
This is the hotel at Montrose close to O'hare Chicago for people who have booked a factory relocation RV. Hotel is newly renovated with nice rooms. Location is unremarkable. Free breakfast is OK but crowded because of all the RV lovers leaving to Indiana at 7 AM... After that it is quiet again.
This BW is a great smaller hotel with personality. Great and caring staff. Delicious HOT breakfast to get you started. Micro/fridge/iron all in the room and the windows open for fresh air. Check it out.
Gentleman at the front desk was absolutely accommodating and expedient. Room looks like it was newly built; impeccably clean. Breakfast was even better than I expected. This hotel will be my go-to in the Chicago area.
Great hotel. Breakfast was great. First off it was nice to see a staff member there so if you have questions or couldn't find something. Let me tell you I don't remember her name but she was the funniest, friendliest and most helpful person you would want to see and interact with in the morning. Made my day so start off so great. The have a pancake machine! Did you hear me, a pancake machine. I ain't never seen one. It was the coolest machine. I have to say this hotel and there staff is great. Very different from other best westerns I have stayed at.
Great room. stayed 1 night before trip to Cancun. 9 days parking included. large room, joined their club and received a bag with drink and snacks. their shuttle both ways were on time and very friendly. Only bad thing was no restaurant or bar in hotel .restaurant / bar next door was very expensive. Would definitely stay here anytime flying out of O'Hare. .
Hotel was adequate but first the TV in our room would not turn on. That got fixed and we notice the smoke detector was pulled out and we had none in our room, another call to maintenance and they put one in. There was a smoke detector beeping in the hallway from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Security doors either didn't let you in or were broken so that anyone could walk in the place. Shuttle to the airport was fine but we called for the shuttle upon our return (we were at the international terminal) we waited for an hour and a half for the van to pick us up and take us back to our cars! Three times we called only for them to tell us it had been "dispatched" and they had no way of contacting the driver. They have several vans from what I saw but only one driver for a busy Saturday night! What a horrible experience for the group of us that stayed there. We do this trip every year and this was our first time at this location and will be our last. I recommend paying a higher price somewhere else! You get what you pay for! Lesson learned.
We stayed, not for a shuttle to O'Hare, but to see our son off to Officer Candidate School for the US Marines. Rooms were clean, convenient to ORD, very comfortable bed. Rooms had some extras, but nothing special. The only "fly in the ointment" was the breakfast. The breakfast area is cramped with too many large chairs and tables. There was NO flow to the breakfast items. Items were typical, but most were cold, even if they were supposed to be warm. The waffle maker had no oil to lubricate the iron so everyone had to take extra time to scrape the waffle when it was done. There was a special pancake maker, but when one person poured the batter in, it just made a huge mess and flowed all over the place -- I really don't think the supervisor knew how to work it. Overall, ok place to stay, ok rates. . .stick to the cold breakfast items and coffee.
Spent the night only because we were picking someone up early at Ohare airport We have stayed here a couple of times and the hotel is always clean, and friendly staff. Fitness center meets all of our needs and in past the breakfast has been a nice start to our day.
Nice minimalist modern design, clean, had all the basic amenities (fridge, microwave, etc), quick efficient polite service throughout, good breakfast (surprisingly wonderful scrambled eggs - usually awful at hotels). Also surprisingly quiet for a hotel right by the airport. Shuttle service was 5 minutes to O'Hare, really handy.
My family spent the night here because of its convenient location to the airport. However, none of us slept in the hard beds, we found hair on the sheets (making us believe they had not been changed), and it was overall very small and uncomfortable and dirty. Will not stay again.
Stayed at this hotel for 1 night with a friend and really enjoyed my stay! Our beds were SO comfortable, we both had such a great night of sleep. The staff was nice, there was plenty of free parking and the hotel is really close to the airport. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone in the area!
1. Choppy Wifi. I had to frequent the lobby to use the open Wifi over the guest Wifi since it was terribly slow and frustrated us so much when we were trying to make online reservations for various places in and around Chicago. I had made reported this over 5 times to the front desk, and the explanation they gave is that I need to reconnect every time that happens. This is understandably a ridiculous and irresponsible response given the price charged for the stay and also for the their marketing material which boasts of 24-hrs Wifi access. We had much pleasant Wifi experience at other motels on the highway. 2. Rude buffet staff: The timings for the breakfast buffet as per the notice inside the hotel is from 7:30 am to 10:30 am (on weekends only). So , I assume that the buffet closes by 10:30 am and I would be allowed to enjoy the buffet even if I had come at around 10:15 am. However, the staff in-charge of the buffet started hassling me to take whatever I wanted as he wanted to close the buffet early which I don;t understand why when the hotel states the buffet closes at 10:30 am. Even the tone of his voice is irritable and he had no courtesy or politeness when conversing with me. I had received better customer service and experiences pleasant service even from a two-member team of staff at a motel. It's this kind of staff behavior which really put me off and makes me question myself as to why on earth I had chosen to stay here. Now imagine this for 6 nights with these kind of annoyances!!! On the whole, I strongly believe that it was not a pleasant experience at Best Western O'Hare and definitely not worth the money. Hence, I would prefer not to make any more future reservations at Best Western. I did have another past reservation at Best Western (Bowling Green, Ohio) which was much better. Positives: Well-behaved cleaning staff, and nice interiors
Choppy WiFi: We had to frequent the lobby to make an online transaction since the guest Wifi was terrible and nothing was done to fix it. Imagine this situation for 6 nights!!! Rude buffet staff: The buffet staff there had no idea about the meaning of courteousness, and politeness. The guy kept hasslling us to take the food quickly as he wanted to close the buffet 15 mins earlier on the weekend. Cleaning staff did an excellent job and were well behaved. The front desk staff were good too but they never addressed the WIFI issue so that's still a negative service from their staff. Decors are great and welcoming.
we stayed at this hotel for the convenient location to o'hare... what a mistake! the airport shuttle was the only good part of our stay but we would have had the same service in other hotels around... from hair in the bed, in the towels to the room booked 8 months in advance to be put right in front of the elevator and the laundry rom, even after asking a quiet area room, this was just horrible. we had to leave early to catch our flight so no breakfast at that time, when asking for pastries that were on a counter to the chef, he was rude. after looking at the food, we saw mold on bagel, so i guess we didn't miss anything. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!
We stayed in the hotel just for the convenience of being near O'Hare. Took forever to check in then the shuttle service is something to be desired. We made plans for drop-off and pick-up waited an hour and a half to be picked up and still no show so we had to take a taxi back to the hotel where we had parked the parking lot is so full it took awhile to get a parking spot .They charge you $50 to park there for the week if you stay overnight. The breakfast was ok the room wasn't clean . Hard to believe the bed and the bathroom was cleaned when there is hair all over it.
I had a horrible time from the beginning of check in to check out. Breakfast was not good. Internet was very slow and a very poor picture for the TV. Upon checkout no one knew what they were doing and my cash that I had paid upon check in was no where to be located.
Upon return from our vacation we found our car had been hit to the tune of $5061.00 Accident was not reported to police. Front desk was aware of it but said management said not to report it. Parking is really tight with no security cameras in back of hotel. Shuttle vans are for 8 people only. We had to take a 3:30 a.m. for a 7 a.m. departure flight. Waited more than an hour & 10 minutes for shuttle on our return. My wife called 3 times & I called twice for pick up. The room was clean but the coffee maker did not have a tray for the coffee. toilet seat was missing a wing nut.
It's a great hotel for the value! Friendly staff, clean rooms, reliable transportation. I would only say the WiFi is a little spotty and the gym good use an improvement as far as weights go, but overall, awesome place to stay near the airport.
Room was clean. coffee and continental breakfast in morning. Best thing was being able to park our car for a week at no extra charge. Staff was friendly and able to answer our questions. HBO no longer available but had not updated hotel info book.
We always chose BW because you can book direct in their website knowing you will get the best offer. You don't need to loose your time booking on other hotel sites that usually do not give what they promise and you seldom get a good price. In this O'Hare BW you have a shuttle service to/ from airport AND they also provide you one to the local mall. And in case you are in need or off guard, there are a few good facilities at front desk (shaver, cleansing, etc) with which you can count. There is also a very agreable restaurant a few steps out side the hotel. Good food, good beer, fair price! Nice and easy!
Excellent location next to airport. 24 hr shuttle service and good restaurant next to hotel. Clean and good service. Personal at front desk very helpful. Internet service work properly. You need to call when you arrived to let them know were to pick you
The best part of this hotel is that it's near O'Hare and rental car returns. I was unable to check into hotel even a couple of minutes early, but that was okay. The hotel is being renovated and the room was clean and comfortable. Parking is very limited. When I returned to the hotel around 11 pm I kept circling for a parking place. Finally I went inside and was given a parking permit for the structure next door and was told I could walk on the sidewalk back to the hotel. I didn't feel this was a good option for an older, single woman in heels and a long dress. I went back to my car and kept circling for an open spot which finally opened up.
Stayed here during a trade show and was not impressed. Lobby area is nice, and at first glance, so are the rooms. After a little while, all the little things start bothering you... - gym: ill-maintained universal weight machine missing bars/handles and needing lubrifying. Also, one of the treadmills sounds like it is going to eat a bearing/belt. - breakfast area: small, poorly laid out. Food is OK, but not good. - rooms: beds rock hard and pillows are too soft. Chairs/desks don't fit well together, leading you to feel like you're working on a computer at shoulder level (even with chair at highest setting). Paint in the bathroom peeling on ceiling/walls & SUPER-noisy ventilation fan. No convenient place to move the ironing board - requires moving the desk chair to plug it in on the desk, as there are no other outlets.
My wife is very picky about hotels and is critical of the most hotels. But this place was really nice. The rooms were very sound proof. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was very comfortable. Recently updated rooms were very nice to stay in. When in the area, she wants to stay here again for sure. Look for cheapest rates for this hotel.
I always stay at this hotel when I have to be near O'Hare. The staff is courteous and efficient. The rooms have been renovated and are quite comfortable. Refrigerators and microwaves are standard in each room. The complimentary breakfast is very good with quite a selection of hot and cold items. There is a compact fitness room which is well equipped. The internet is fast. Restaurants are within walking distance. Overall a great place to stay for an overnight if you have business close to the airport.
I got an amazing deal when I booked hotel together with flight. So it end up being like $50 per night for a king size bed room but it does worth a $100+ regular priced. It's newly renovated hotel, so everything in the room and bathroom new but most importantly clean. Bed very comfy. I was in similar hotel (furniture wise in NY) but there I paid $200 a night. Breakfast buffet is great. But most importantly the staff who keep checking on food and adding more before it runs out. They had: bananas, apples, pastries, make your own waffles, 3 kind of cereals, milk, fruits, yogurt, 3 kind of juices, hard boiled eggs, bagels, bread, oatmeal. Hot items, eggs and baked potatoes and either bacon or sausages. Everything is yummy and delicious. Plus coffee and hot tea anytime of the day. They have a FREE shuttle from/to airport which runs every half an hour. And you can use it everyday not just for arrival and departure (unlike some other hotels who charge for that) but to catch a train to the city too. The only thing you need to sign up in advance to make sure they have space in a van. And the last bus from the airport is at 11.45pm so after that time you need to call the hotel and ask for them to come over. But they located only 10 min from the airport - so wait is not long at all. They do have a computers and printers you can use So just a few of things to improve: 1) I requested quiet room (not facing the road) upon booking but did not get it. Used ear plugs so kind of ok but would be nice if front desk would read those requests before assigning the room 2) electric outlets were not changed in the bathroom and everything falls out from them. 3) Hotel definitely need to invest in safe boxes and put them in the room - even motels have them If I ever in Chicago again - will definitely choose this hotel
This is obviously a very busy hotel as most people will only be staying one night prior to a flight but all in all it's decent. Very comfy bed and large TV. Adequate but small bathroom. Not a whole lot else but rooms and a lobby with a small breakfast area. Shuttle bus every half hour to O'Hare. Staff really nice. No bar or restaurant but right next door to Shoeless Joes which is ok and there's a McDonalds over the road. Check out is noon which is good if you have a later flight.
We hadn't stayed at this BW in awhile. We used the Park n Fly. Was pleasantly surprised when we entered. The hotel has been completely remodeled and now offers breakfast. The rooms have also been redone. It is clean, comfortable and meets all of your needs. The staff is extremely friendly. Will definitely be back!! There is also a restaurant//bar adjoining which makes it very convenient once you have arrived.
The staff and location really are where the good points of this place end. Check-in was ok. We had a new person training, which is fine. We are Best Western rewards customers and usually get a little gift bag upon arrival. They had a few out, but we did not receive one. Ok, not the end of the world. No room upgrade offered either. Ok, still not the end of the world. Staff were friendly and polite, so let the small stuff go. The rooms have been redone here, but as minimally as possible. Clean paint, but dirty receptacles. Yuk. Cracks in walls. Toilet kept running and handle was broken. When we mentioned our room number the next morning, they seemed to already be aware of the issues. If so, wouldn't you fix them? Bed had huge sag in middle. Does not make for good night sleep either. Walls are paper thin. Can hear everything including people snoring in room next door. Would not recommend, nor would I stay here again...not even for just one night.
I booked this hotel for my guest and transferred my credit card info to them. Then, several fraud charges on my card began appearing in the Chicago area near the hotel. There is someone else wiring on August 12, 2015 about a credit card fraud at this hotel. They need to have a serious investigation.
Very good breakfast buffet. Efficient shuttle service to and from O'Hare. I needed a guest laundry and both washers and both dryers were working and did a good job. I felt it was an excellent value. I was concerned about road noise but heard none.
The hotel was as expected except for a very strong musty smell in the room. I had to leave the windows open all night to get fresh air into the room. Normally I am very happy with BW in general and would stay at other BW properties but not this one. In hindsight I should have asked for another room but I was tired and didn't feel like changing. Someone on the staff should have noticed this problem and put the room out of service until fixed.
Great service & hotel but the internet is the worse ever!!!! Otherwise, everything is great I would give it more stars if the internet worked!!!! It's a great location to everything. I've stayed here a lot in the past 5 years and in that time the hotel has been though renovations however they still have not upgraded the Internet service you can get on but it knocks you off every minute connection is poor and Lowe connection I don't understand why they can't update the Internet here!
Staff went out of their way make me feel comfort as a single female traveling alone. I would be arriving late, after 11:00 PM. My concern was where to park safely if no surface parking was available. I was personally shown the parking garage and was told I could have the night driver personally follow me while I parked then get a ride back down to the hotel. Really appreciated that!
I was a tad bit hesitant to stay here since we normally always stay at Hiltons and the Hilton is attached to O'Hare but the difference for one night was almost over $45 so we booked a King room here for two for one night. We flew into O'Hare, called the hotel and they told us where to meet for the shuttle. There was a 10 or 15 minute wait (max) and a very friendly gentleman showed-up with the shuttle/van. The van was packed going to the hotel which seems like maybe it is a long ways away from the airport (about 5-6 minute drive) but it's not. You can literally sit on a bench out in front of the hotel and watch planes takeoff all night long. We did this for a couple of hours just to kill time and it was nice and pleasant. Check-in was easy, room cooled-down quickly, everything was clean, everyone was pleasant. They sell bottled water at the front desk for only $1 a bottle. They also sell sodas and snacks and there are vending machines in the hallway. The room is very small but there are two chairs in the room and it was only for one night for two people so we were fine. We ate lunch at Shoeless Joes which is attached to the hotel (and they have to-go food) and we thought it was overrated and overpriced. There is a McD's next to Shoeless Joes and we walked there for late night sodas. Lots of people walking around everywhere in this area, safe for sure. There are at least four hotels all crammed together in this same area so many people were walking to Shoeless Joe's for a drink or to McDonald's for a nonalcoholic drink or cheap meal. You can order Giordano's Deep Dish pizza to your room for less than $10 for a pizza pie! We had a good sleep, never heard anything from any other room. We had "pre-scheduled" a trip to the airport on the van/shuttle the night before. We had an international flight around noon and they were on time, super friendly, no problems. We always stay downtown Chicago but frankly, I think this is our new Chicago hotel. I've stayed at a lot of "older" hotels that have been remodeled but this one was done very well - you almost wouldn't know it was a remodel.
This was an excellent location for an early morning departure from O'Hare and close to Enterprise Car Rental return. This hotel was quiet for its location. Older looking on the outside but the room interior was modern and comfortable.
Stayed here to be close to the Airport so we could leave very early for our flight. They have shuttle service 24 hours that also pick up at the airport to bring you back when you get back in. Verify and get a parking permit if doing the park and fly. Rooms were nicely done however if you are a light sleeper ask for something other than the top floor due to frequent planes landing.
Worse hotel shuttle for sleep park and ride airport service. 45 minutes waiting at airport and didn't even have enough room for the whole party. Other hotels showed up twice to get customers why we waited
this hotel is quite old but they have been refurbishing it. We waited only 15 minutes for a pick up from airport to hotel. the staff was very welcoming. We went to a brew pub Shoeless Joes just a few minutes walk for dinner. the room was clean, the breakfast was free and had a lot to choose from. All in all a nice hotel
Great hotel for the traveller who needs to get to O'Hare. Shuttle service was great. The room was clean and the staff very helpful. Breakfast is served in the morning. Shoeless Joe's Restaurant next door is so convenient and good for a great bite to eat and have a drink.
It took us over an hour to be picked up from O'Hare airport. It was a male calling for service that finally got results. The next morning the shuttle van back to the airport left without announcing that it was leaving. We missed it. However, kindly the staff did take us to the airport. The hotel is not updated. It is old and looks old.
Best Western at O'Hare is located close to O'Hare and is an excellent location if you need to be close to the airport. Really close also to Rental Car pick up and return restaurants at walking distances or delivery available
I was in town for a wedding. Stayed at Best Western at River North dowtown Chicago aand then at Best Western Rosemont for last night in town. Very friendly staff; close to O Hare and all around excellent stay.
BW is a very nice and good hotel. Front desk is open all night long. Rooms are big and clean. Breakfast is excellent...and staff perfect. Well shuttle service is quick and friendly. They serve a lot of information if needed.
This Best Western has upped the ante for area hotels. May not be as beautiful and classy outside as other BIG name hotels, but the rooms, beds & internet match or exceed. Hot breakfast and other items make a great start to busy days. Close to O'Hare so short ride in van. Nice staff willing to make things right. Give it a try.
Wouldn't recommend staying here. Front desk is not helpful. Didn't even answer phone when we called from room. Size of rooms is great but there is a lack of counter space in bathroom, lots of mildew and stains, towels small and of poor quality. Sheets were dinghy and even had a stain. The helpful, kind morning shuttle person saved the stay from being a total disaster. If you must stay here, don't stay more than one night.
5 minute drive from the O'Hare airport & a taxi would cost approx $15. McDonalds right next to the hotel if you prefer a snack. Good service & decent rooms. Water bottle would cost $1 each. Free breakfast which is great.
Nice american style hotel, good equipped room, close to both airport and car rental services. The restaurant / bar is closed by for a dinner with plenty of choices for the american type of food. Highly recommended for short kind of stay prior departure or after the arrival.
This location has excellent employees who want to help!. It is very convenient to the airport/convention center and enough food options. The rooms are clean and we'll kept. The breakfast room is small avoid busy times if possible.
We needed a convenient location and this was perfect, the staff was excellent and thw on site restaurant was great. Breakfast was very good and our room was clean. We will stay here again the next time we need to stay near Chicago.
Checked into this hotel and ran into our first issue which was parking - once their small lot fills you can go back behind the hotel or back further behind the strip mall where things get seedy. Once all of that parking is exhausted (which is was by 4pm and stayed full all day/night) they offered me a pass for the parking garage which was nice. I was fortunate to have someone leave as I was trying to figure out where the garage was so I didn't have to find it. The ladies at the front desk were nice enough but they did seem annoyed to be there. Went to go into the door by where we parked - swiped my key and realized that the door does not latch properly so anyone can get in. Things were okay when we got inside - the room was clean enough and air conditioning worked just fine. We did not stay long in the room - we went out and enjoyed the nightlife then returned later that evening. The thing that bothered me was when I woke up in the middle of the night to an awful smell and realized it was the pillow. I was thoroughly disgusted by this and threw it on the floor. I was surprised because when I first laid down I distinctly remember smelling bleach on the sheets (which is always good in my mind). There were at least 4 pillows on the bed so I must have inadvertently grabbed the one on the end while I was sleeping. It smelled like BO and all the icky, ewwwww, gross. I tentatively looked at the other pillow and cautiously smelled it - bleach (crisp chlorine smell). So I went back to sleep. Was woken rather early by the noise in the hall and the occupant in the room above us (we had a 1st floor room). I could hear every step they took. That made me sad. Overall it was not the worst place I've ever stayed. Between hearing everything come to life around us around 6/7 am to that stinky pillow, not sure if I would return. Would do in a pinch or if you're leaving early - just check them pillows!
My flight was delayed 10 hours so United paid for me to stay at this hotel. I was impressed on how nice this hotel looks and how clean it is. The bed and pillows were so comfortable that I slept quite good. Also the hotel has a free shuttle to/from O"hare.
From the time we were picked up by the shuttle, to our stay and finally leaving, everything about our stay was great. Everyone was helpful, courteous and kind. The hotel was clean and the amenities such as the shuttle and breakfast were a nice addition
This property was an excellent value for the cost. The room appeared to have been recently updated. While the bathroom was small it was more than adequate for the time used. The bed was quite comfortable and outside noise (being across from O'Hare Airport) was imperceptible - in fact, the room was extremely quiet. Only downside was the attached restaurant was loud (not the most welcome after a long day) with average service and food. Still- overall this worked well for what I needed!
I had a great experience. I spent too little time checking in and out. They went straight to business but were also concerned that I should have a good experience staying at Best Western. I see myself going back.
This hotel doesn't have a lot immediately around it apart from a sports bar and a McDonalds, but was fine for an overnight stop between flights. Our rooms were both OK and the staff spontaneously offered us adjacent connecting rooms. Breakfast was entirely do it yourself, but had plenty of choice - bacon, mini omelettes, batter to make your own waffles. The free shuttle back to the airport the following day worked well. Would happily stay there again.
The Best Western accommodated our overnight stay when transferring to a flight to Dublin from O'Hare. We were picked up by the complimentary shuttle bus from the Transport Hub at the Airport. Just a 15 minute journey. We were checked in by a friendly receptionist and following a good night's sleep in a comfortable, clean room we enjoyed an excellent breakfast before transferring back to the airport to catch our flight. All in all a good experience. We will use Best Western again when we are connecting through O'Hare.
Stayed here for 5 nights for a softball tourney in August. The hotel was easy to get to off the highway, everything was in very good condition. The pool and hot tube were great. The rooms were clean and modern. Our group wad over 20 and everything went smooth so we will be back next year!
Exactly what you need from an Airport Hotel when you need a stopover. As we were not driving the Free Shuttle was very useful as we were catching the Amtrack the next day. Good Restaurant on site. Comfy Bed. Gymnasium. Free WiFi Complimentary Breakfast.
The Best Western O'Hare located on Higgins Road (Rosemont) is very easy access to the Chicago O'Hare airport via the hotel's shuttle service. The hotel has gone through several renovations and their guest service was excellent. We arrived by car and their parking facility made it convenient for us to complete our vacation while using their shuttle service upon our return.
I checked in late on the go, and I needed to read and send email and get some sleep. internet was so slow it was pointless to even try to use it. for all intents and purposes this hotel does not offer internet, or at least access that is functional to the extent that it has utility... the rooms were clean and it was close to the airport. it is reasonably priced. in this day and age near an airport it amazes me a hotel cant get its tech on point.
Good price to quality relationship Decent warm breakfast selection would benefit from low sugar options such as in the yogurt choices. Workout facility is lacking and weight equipment shows dangerous rust
Great hotel to rest and relax in. Wonderful amenities - breakfast, weight room, comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and professional. Rooms are super nice. Feels like a high end hotel but at a very reasonable price.
We picked this hotel since I was there for a conference the picture said look great online;however, that is not the case when I showed up. When we arrived we were given a room with mold, they gave us another room, which had more mold than the first room, and the third room seemed fine with no noticeable mold. Besides the mold problem, the staff told us that they were paving and that is why there is no parking. They had caution tape up on the lot, but the employees and other people were allowed to park in there. Another issue we had was on our third day, the room was not cleaned. The maids only gave us towels and left everything else. Then that night, there was three of us who took showers. The tub would of drain, by the second shower, the water was up to the top of tub. Lastly, the customer service at this location was not good at all.
The room was clean and quiet. The bathroom left a lot to be desired. There was nowhere to hang hand towels and only the hook on the back of the bathroom door for bath towels. It also had a distinct lack of storage space for personal items. In addition, the tub was very slippery on first use. The breakfast was ok but the second morning we opted to go to a restaurant. The parking lot is small when the needs of the restaurant next door are factored in. Returning late at night can be a challenge. Our request for two rooms with a connecting door (which was made weeks earlier at the time the reservation was made) was not realized. That was a disappointment. While the hotel was a good value, I'm not sure I can recommend it.
We ended up here when JetBlue cancelled our flight and it was a pleasant surprise. There was a shuttle to and from the terminal and the receptionists were friendly and efficient. For the price it was a far better equipped room than the Doubletree in Chicago with comfier beds. Downside it's on the flight path but the noise was less intrusive than we thought. A good self service breakfast included.
We stayed here for 3 night and found the location great and reasonable . The twice hourly shuttle to and from the airport, where we connected with the train to down town., was very good and the drivers helpful. Our room was perfect for us, although the bathroom was tiny . The free breakfast was better than most hotels, the dining area was small , the furniture way to large making it difficult to get around. The staff were very helpful and we were surprised how little reception knew about Chicago. Michael (Receptionist) came to our rescue and told us how to use the train and other things.. Wish they had some brochures about Chicago available..Would recommend this Best Western
BW is a very good good hotel but it depends on what city you are staying at & how old the hotel is. If you are staying in BW crowded cities then you will find small rooms & old hotel & old furnitures .
We stayed there the night before going to the airport to catch a flight out of O'Hare. It was a great place to crash and the breakfast was very delicious. It was relatively easy and quick to get to the airport and return the rental car.
We arrived after midnight totally exhausted after 25 hours of travel coming from China. I was happy to be back in the US where I thought I could expect reliably good service. However, we entered our room to find NO toilet paper and NO pillows. Unbelievable! When I tried to call front desk for help... the room phone did not work. Hotel staff did not apologize for inconvenience and we couldn't go to bed since we needed to stay up to wait quite a while for someone to deliver toilet paper and pillows. In the morning, when I went to unplug my cell phone, I found 2 dirty socks on floor behind dresser and my cell phone wasn't charged because the outlet didn't work.
Stayed in the BW O'Hare to try and save some money. The hotel is still over priced in my opinion, but it was the closet option for the conference I needed to attend. The hotel parking lot gets full rather quickly so if you plan on going out late night it will be hard to find a parking spot once you get back. There's nothing spectacular about the rooms or the hotel itself, so $133 a night is pricey. On the morning of check out you don't get the usual receipt under the door with your charges. You need to actually go to the front desk to checkout. On our final walk thru of the room to ensure we didn't leave anything; we saw roaches crawling up the wall in our room. Won't be back to this location.
Very nice people at this establishment little pricy though. I've. Even at other Best Westerns and there is a difference in a lot of them. Would stay here again just hope the price is lower next time I stay
We flew into O'Hare, caught the shuttle to the hotel, and collapsed. Very early the next morning, we were able to walk Rosemont and return to the hotel in time for breakfast. Breakfast consisted of many danishes to choose from, a self-service waffle iron, and many steam tables full of breakfast items. Room was nicely done, internet efficient. On the whole, not bad. A relaxing and comfortable stop-over.
The front desk wrote down our morning shuttle for the wrong time of 5:35am. We should get the 6:05 am shuttle. However, no one called us for the 5:35am shuttle. When I mention the 6:05 am shuttle, we were told that the shuttle is full and they could do nothing about it. And they can't offer Lyft service for us either. The front desk person has no sense of doing good service to customers and they don't care whether we would be late for our flight or not. In the end, we paid Lyft to come pick us up. No hot water or coffee when we arrived last night around 8 pm. We were told that they would prepare food to go for our breakfast as our departing time is earlier than the breakfast time. However, I did not see any food when we leave for airport.
The hotel was fair sized there was no wow factor about the room. There were evident fixes that were underway in the room -not completed- It was average hotel but somewhat pricey. The location was beneficial only about 5 minutes from the allstate arena.
Great staff, good free breakfast and we appreciate the free shuttle to the airport. Also, liked having the coffee on and the free newspaper while we waited for our flight the next day. The location is near the airport and we were delivered right to United Airlines terminal
At first glance, this small hotel near O'hare airport may appear old and tired, but the entire interior has been remodeled and modernized. However, you can see the age in the molding that was not replaced, just painted over, and the room doors must be the original doors. The elevator is obviously the original. It moves a bit slowly and on one trip I wasn't sure it was going to let me out. The breakfast area has plenty of room to move around even when busy. The rooms are the size you would expect from any Best Western. We had a two double bed room for two people and there was enough room. Four people might be a bit cramped as there is no side chair, only the desk chair. Noise level was acceptable but the planes fly over the hotel. (You are right next to airport, so that's expected.) They did seem to be less frequent late night/early morning. The free breakfast is the same you'd expect from a mid-range hotel and nothing special. The breakfast staff kept everything well stocked. Ultimately, this hotel serves to people who are flying out of O'Hare, and offers 24/7 shuttle service to the airport that is just 3 miles from hotel to terminal. There is also a park and fly option but we didn't need that. I was so satisfied with the hotel that I booked it again when I pick up my daughter in two weeks.
From the time we attempted to do an early check in and were told we didn't have a reservation (we did and had the reservation number AND the credit card statement showing the room was already paid in full) we had nothing but inconveniences. The "free parking" at the hotel is really parking by a restaurant quite a bit away from the hotel and making sure you are in the 'right' area that you don't get towed.
Love this hotel. Close to O'Hare with a shuttle service to the airport. Hot breakfast included. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds and quiet. No need to get stressed out with figuring out how to get to and from the airport - let Best Western at O'Hare do it for you!
My wife and I needed to stay near Chicago for two nights. We did not fly and drove in from Michigan. The hotel was "ok" . Parking was a pain. It seems they park cars for people flying out of O'Hare . This means parking for their current guests on property is slim to none. Their solution is to give you a parking pass for the parking structure at business offices next door. You need to park on the 4th floor take an elevator to ground level and then guess how to get back to the hotel ! When you find your way you need to go down an old metal stairs just a bit better than a ladder .If you need to stay near O'Hare there are a hundred other properties to chose from...do not chose Best Western !
We stayed here after we saw a concert at the All state arena which is only .4 miles away. Newly rennovated with the exception of the elevators. Enjoyed the free shuttle service to a nearby restaurant.
Hotel needs updated. Reserved a King Bed, Received a very small Queen. Blankets and sheets were very thin and stained. Nothing near Hotel: No restaurants near (worth eating at), no stores, no bars. Hard to find parking spot.
This is close to the airport and you are there is about 5-8 minutes. The lobby is sunny and beautiful and well designed. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. Much nicer than I expected so it wow-ed me! I travel a lot and plan on making this one of my mainstays when in Chicago.
Helpful staff, good proximity to Airport, comfortable rooms and my kids liked the waffles with a heart in the center. Staff was helpful during checkout. They secureed my bag and kept my leftover Geno's East in a fridge while I put my kids on an overseas flight. After returning to the hotel, they promptly retrieved my items and wished me well on my return to INDY.
Quote for a 15 day Park & Fly was communicated & then confirmed through an email. Upon checking in, representative informed me that I would be charged an additional $50 because it was for over 1 week. While that may their policy, this was NOT communicated either in the initial phone conversation in which exact dates were reserved nor in the confirmation email. Hotel staff would not honor the quote nor did manager contact me as requested. Promised "grab & go" breakfast for early departure was not ready when the time came.
Hotel was overpriced and breakfast was unfortunately not that great. Whoever was in charge of keeping food supply (eg. omelettes) plenty for the guest, did not do a good job, many folks were unable to enjoy a full breakfast, due to a lack of proper supply, intended or not.
Newly remodeled! Breakfast was great. Always hot and plenty of food. Front desk staff was not responsive to my running toilet. You need to put up towel hooks in the bathroom so they can dry if you want us to be eco-friendly.
Our room was clean and comfortable and best of all the heating/cooling system was among the quietest we've experienced at a moderately priced facility. Free airport shuttle too. Our shuttle was scheduled to leave before the start of the free breakfast (16 am, I think) but muffins were out so we could grab a bite to eat.
Stayed here to go see the Chicago Wolves play at Allstate arena. Nice place, clean and the service was wonderful, The reception clerk was vary personable and friendly. Breakfast was fresh and hot. Scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, and cereal. WE were able to park for free here and walk to the Allstate arena, only a few blocks away. There is a wonderful little bar and restaurant next door called shoe less joes. great fun.
We had a flight land after midnight at O'Hare and decided to book a nearby place to stay until the morning. The shuttle driver took 45 minutes to pick us up (it was freezing) and when he arrived, he was in a terrible mood. When we got to Best Western, the staff who met us was very nice, and explained that they'd been having a bad night due to a concert nearby. We were happy to get the key to our room, so we could just sleep. When we opened the door to our room the smell of stale cigarettes was like a blast to the face. The room reeked of stale smoke. We were so tired, we decided to just leave it be and go to sleep. Awoken at 6 am (on a Sat. morning) to the heavy and loud sounds of someone dragging old furniture out to a dumpster and throwing it in. This went on for about 90 minutes (we know because our room had a lovely view of the overflowing dumpster below.) We decided to get up, and head out early to our other hotel. While we didn't expect an amazing place so close to the airport, a cleaner, quieter place might have been much more welcoming.
This hotel is relatively new and the staff is excellent. Very clean and close to many nearby restaurants, including a steak house next door. Shuttle is only a 5-10 minutes from airport. We'll easily stay here again.
A nice clean well located and well staffed hotel thats just been remodeled with restaurants and night life close by including a casinos must stay whether visiting Chicago for business, fun and family.
Upon arriving at hotel, I was a little nervous because the exterior is deceiving. It is definitely an old hotel, however, it was very nice inside. The lobby was wonderful, the room was neat and remodeled. The bathroom was tiny, but clean. The price was great. I would have to say it is definitely a perfect option for an overnight stay on a budget.
I travel the US in my position and stay in several motels/hotels around the country. By far this is one of the BEST motels I have stayed in todate. The Front Desk Staff was excellent and VERY courteous. The property was just remodeled and was fantastic. The Best Western O'Hare deserves a WOW!
This hotel goes above and beyond! I have stayed here several times, and will not stay anywhere else when Chicago! The staff is amazing. My sister's flight was overbooked and so she arrived at O'Hare 12 hours earlier than planned. The Hotel manager made special arrangements to accommodate my sister even though the room was booked to me, until I could arrive much later that day. The front desk Staff is super helpful, and honestly... provide the best service that I have ever encountered. The airport shuttle service is complementary, it's safe, runs frequently, it arrives and departs on schedule, and the drivers are friendly. Especially Martin.. He was our favorite shuttle driver. The complementary breakfast was excellent. They have a really nice spread complete with sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, and more! Also the dinning area is gorgeous. The Hotel staff member who served breakfast, consistently worked to keep all the food selections fresh, hot, and stocked. This staff member also exceptionally maintained the cleanliness of the buffet area, and of the dinning area... It was by far the best complementary breakfast setting in a hotel, which I have experienced. There are other hotels near the airport which offer rooms at similar prices, but once you stay here, your expectations wont allow you to visit any of those again. You will not find any other hotel that are this conveniently located, offer special arrangements/ accommodations, provide this exceptional level of service / hospitality, is as updated and modern, has as many amenities, or better staff, than at this hotel.
This hotel is recently been renovated. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The rooms are clean and it has many food options around. The hotel shuttle is very reliable. Ask for Martin he's at great driver!
This place is great. The shuttle driver Martin was very nice. Martin drove usto the airport and he was friendly and curtiuos The whole place is clean and all of the staff at the front desk were all helpfull.
We are so grateful for the experience at Best Western O'Hare. We were able to get a good night sleep and park our vehicles for two days. We work in transportation and it's challenging to find space for large trucks. Thank you very much Best Western
We had this hotel prebooked for our motorhome trip. The lobby is very basic with two little desks. The staff is very friendly and they run a shuttle to and from Chicago O'hare Int. Getting downtown Chicago is a bit of a challenge. We went back to O'hare int. and bought a day ticket for the L and took the blue line to downtown. A trip downtown with the L is about 44mins. The rooms are good, its with everything you need, maybe even a little bit too much. free WiFi, TV, refrigerator, complimentary coffeemachine and even a microwave. The complimentary breakfast is standard for a hotel in the USA, you can toast bread, make your own waffles, have watery oats, muffins, cold hard boiled eggs, bacon and sausages, cereal and some yoghurt.
Everything right near Ohare was booked so we went a few miles out to stay here. We have an early morning flight and we are happy we chose this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They do offer a free shuttle from Ohare which was very convenient. (of course I tipped the driver) The hotel overall was clean, many places to eat within walking distance, and a nice, clean pool. Our room was roomy and clean. I loved that the window could be opened to let in fresh air. The beds were nice and comfy which made it hard to get out of them at 3:30am. There is free internet and the basics on tv. Since we left so early, they had a to-go breakfast bag ready for each of us. Just let them know the night before. I would stay here again if we have another early flight.
We booked this hotel with some reluctance after reading some of the past reviews. Boy, were they wrong. After a lengthy renovation, the hotel looks sharp and stylish. It is furnished with modern fixtures and decorated with iconic Chicago artwork. Elizabeth and Chermin, our desk clerks were knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely helpful. The best part of staying here is the fact that there is a complimentary shuttle that runs every half hour to O'Hare field. The shuttles are very comfortable and our driver, Manny, knows his way around Chicago traffic. This hotel will definitely get our return business as we travel at least once a year to the Chicago area.
We are a Company located in RI but provide Nationwide Services, last week we had an employee stay at the Best Western for a job in IL. It happens that two packages for the project did not arrive as planned. Fortunately, the staff at the hotel's front desk: Chermin, Chrystal, Elizabeth, Roman, and everyone I spoke to were highly helpful and friendly. They held the packages for us and assisted with everything we needed. Thanks very much for the help!
There was great service at this hotel! I called the hotel for the shuttle coming from international terminal, and I believe I spoke to Chermin and she informed me that the shuttle would be on its way. I didn't have to wait that long, maybe within 10 minutes the shuttle arrived. Manny was very kind and friendly that he helped us with our luggage's.
We had a very nice stay. Everything was close to our hotel, which made it easy to get around. The staff at this location is very young and they do a good job. Orlando, the shuttle driver, brought us from the airport. He is a great and professional man. He recommended us places to eat and things we can do around the area. I would definitely stay here again.
Best Western at O'Hare has a very friendly and helpful staff. One of their van drivers (Martin) is very friendly and always greets you with a smile. They are in a great location, newly remodeled, they have free breakfast in the mornings and I love having a refrigerator and microwave in my room.
Orlando is a very nice young man. He took us to the airport and got us there quick and most importantly safe. Chermin at the front desk is very nice as well. This hotel has been remodeled and looks great now.
I booked my reservation through expedia for the 1 night stay including the 1 week parking, but that wasn't the case. The front desk agent told me that all I paid for was just the room and not the parking. Luckily, Chermin still gave us the 1 week parking for $50. If I would've known that booking through expedia wasn't going to get me the 1 week parking I would've never book through them. Other than that everything was nice, breakfast was good, also the shuttle to the airport was great.
I went here for my business trip and I had exceptinal help. Staff was there when i needed them. They also answer all my questions. everything was great except for the parking. at the front desk Chermin was very lovely and was just great to communicate with.
They just need to finish the front entrance and the hotel will be great. New carpets, Rooms are nice, people are friendly, Shuttle to Airport 24hr. I would go back and stay. Bedding was good, They had anything you needed if you forgot something.
This best Western has been recently updated and our room was like new. The lobby was still being remodeled. The desk clerk was very helpful when I was using the computer in the lobby to get the tickets for my flight.
Stayed for one night to attend a trade show in McCormick Center. Hotels downtown were pricey so I chose to stay near the airport. The lobby is under construction but my third floor room was newly redecorated and quite nice. There is a free shuttle to / from the airport where I took the CTA train into downtown for only about 2 bucks. The included breakfast was good enough with diy waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage, cereals, etc. The bed was comfortable. There is a sports bra next door. What's not to like?
I wanted to write this review last week after our stay but better late than never. Our room, and probably all the rooms were very small. The beds were not very comfortable. The hotel employee assigned a room on 2nd floor right next to the ice machine! The ice machine was so loud we didn't even enter that room, and promptly went back to the front desk and asked to change our room, he was very cooperative about that and changed our room. It was late due to our flight arriving late into Chicago so didn't go back down to let the employee know that the pipe in the bathroom was leaking like a sieve. We did let them know about it the next morning, and changed our room again! As you walk into the lobby, all this construction is going on, nothing cleaned up or put away, just a big mess!!! I was disappointed and will not stay there again!!! These hotels ask for a lot of money for one night, and I expect clean, nice rooms, and an inviting atmosphere! It also seemed that daytime employee's were more concerned about having a good time with fellow employee's in the back office than staying out on the counter where they belong. Always waiting for one or the other to come out from the back to help us. So good bye to this Best Western, no longer a fan.
At arrival waited twenty minutes to get checked in due to the hotel being busy at that moment and they only had two receptionists, both seemed very friendly and helpful, providing good customer service. As we got to the room we found two single beds, but we booked a king bed so had to go sort that out, luckily they moved us to a room that we booked quite quickly. The room looked modern clean and as described when we booked it, bed was really comfortable. The lobby offers access to a computer and printer as well as complimentary hot drinks throughout the day. At that time there was some sort of construction going on with a part of the lobby so that did not look appealing. For people that stay over for the first time it is very unclear on where to go for breakfast, we have spend ten minutes looking for the place, then we asked one of the housekeepers where to go and due to her lack of English she showed us that the breakfast was at the dinner separate from the hotel. The choice at breakfast was simple but enjoyable. On the day of the check out we took the opportunity to use the free shuttle bus to the O'Hare airport that got us there quickly. As a whole both my partner and I enjoyed a two night stay at this hotel and we would recommend it to others.
I was thrilled to get a room at 10 o'clock at night after being left stranded at O'Hare airport by American airlines. The hotel is under construction, but that didn't affect me since I was checking in late at night and leaving early the next morning. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom very nice. The hotel was a bit noisy, but the white noise app on my phone fixed that and I was able to get a good night's sleep. The best part is the hotel staff. They are extremely helpful and friendly. The girl on duty last night was so sweet and Jason checked me out this morning, then drove the shuttle to the airport. He was awesome. Another plus - the hotel is less than 10 minutes from the airport.
Good price-nice breakfast-shuttle to airport + very close... excellent room good internet-quiet-nothing to complain about here...will be back..this was our second recent stay.friendly staff also....location is very close to airport-free shuttle starts early. cant go wrong here.....
This place almost seemed too nice to be a Best Western. The newly remodeled room and comfy bed felt similar to a 3-star, upscale hotel. The WiFi worked well (no hassles). The free breakfast was very good. The eggs tasted real and the sausage was pretty good. The parking lot was very crowded but I was lucky enough to get a space near my room. The adjacent restaurant/bar (Shoeless Joe's) was very good and had a very good selection of craft beers (on tap and in bottles). The menu prices were good. The lobby was being remodeled but I wasn't there for long (check in was easy... Great Staff). This hotel has a good location with easy access to the expressway and the O'Hare airport. I highly recommend this hotel
I always stay at the Best Western O'Hare when in Chicago for work. it's clean, comfortable and has great access to O'Hare. Fast internet, newly renovated rooms and a good breakfast all help to make this my favorite airport hotel. The staff are friendly and efficient. Two airport shuttles per hour is a plus.
My wife and I stayed at this motel August 2016. Desk person very pleasant and helpful. The motel was clean. Liked that we could park our car in their lot for free. The shuttle driver was very nice and professional. Next time we fly out of O'Hare will stay again.
The facility was very clean and has updated decor with remodeling in progress. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The service was efficient but not particularly friendly. Breakfast was typical of Best Western.
My boyfriend and I checked into this hotel for one night and the next morning we were covered in bites from bed bugs. I should have heeded the other reviews about this place. The location was close to the Allstate arena and the price was cheap but so not worth the trouble. It also seems like the hotel lobby was under construction and has been for several years.
The continental breakfast was wonderful! Much more variety than I expected. The building looks a little rough in some places; I believe they are currently doing some renovations. However, the guest room was extremely nice with a clean, modern bathroom, a comfortable bed, and overall nice amenities. My boyfriend accidently left his charger behind, and when he called the hotel to ask if it was there, they offered to ship it to him without charge. Very great service!
I am familiar with this hotel for having stayed there earlier this year. On this trip, I found myself needing parking facilities as everything at O'Hare was booked for Labor Day weekend. Not one to believe every space in three huge overflow parking lots would be filled, I was wrong, with just an hour to make boarding time (after driving several hours to get there). I went to BW and the front desk clerk was extremely helpful in getting me on the website to pay for the parking tag and show me where I needed to park. The staff whisked me away to the terminal, and with the help of a helpful TSA employee, I was able to make my plane. If it wasn't for quick thinking and previous knowledge of this hotel, the friendly staff, and responsive shuttle driver, I would not have made my plane and my birthday weekend would have been a disaster. Thank you! Note, I have stayed here before...the renovation that has been taking place is really creating comfortable, quick access to the airport.
This is a very Average hotel. The pillows smell. The reception area is under renovation and quite shabby. No bottled water in the room. No microwave. The design of the hotel is quite old fashioned. The lift is scary. All in all not a very pleasant experience of staying. There are many other options in the area.
Enjoyed the room and complete breakfast. Shuttle service to the airport was unreliable and infrequent compared to other hotels shuttle services. The hotel is completing a full refurbishment and will become a Best Western Plus Hotel when all work is complete. Good value.
My wife and I wanted to see the attractions in Chicago so we booked our stay at this best western. Figured the shuttle bus to O'Hare would be convenient for the L train. We arrived at Best Western midnight to check in. They clam they didn't have reservations for Thursday night, only Friday and Saturday. Luckily we kept the email confirmation and sent us to what appeared a jacuzzi suite at one time but was removed and no couch or chair to sit on just open space. Must be a room they don't normally use! No discount offered and our key opened a different room besides! Stains on carpet and toilet barely flushed and what appeared to be mold growing on the bathroom door molding at bottom! We are very dissatisfied with this establishment and will not patronize them again!
Hotel is reasonably clean and appears to be undergoing renovations. Shoeless Joes sports bar is next door. Main advantage is the hotel is very close to O'Hare. The hotel van to and from the airport is inadequate and not particularly reliable.
The hotel location was very close to the airport which was good. Room was fine. Check In was a disaster. They couldn't find my reservation and it took almost 30 minutes to get checked in - that's unacceptable.
I made a reservation on our company travel site for my Swiss colleague that wound up not being saved. When we arrived at the hotel for check in, Becca Klueg went the extra mile to ensure my colleague, who was leaving the next day, had a room at the rate my companies web site was to have charged me. I will make the effort to stay at that hotel the next time I am on business in Chicago.
The staff are the best thing about this hotel as they are very kind and helpful, the shuttle was good too. But the hotel needs a make over it is dingy and tatty and the elevators were not working when I stayed. The room I had was clean and it was quiet but needed redecorating, one night was all I wanted here. I cancelled my booking for the return part of my trip and booked into another hotel.
It was honestly such a great stay. When I walked in Elizabeth and Chermin were so nice and informative. They helped me with a slight issue I had with my booking and did it with such patience. They were great! The room was clean, the shuttle was on time. They picked me up from the airport and took me back in 10 minutes every time. Best experience I've had at a best western. Will definitely be staying here again.
The personnel service was outstanding! The hotel looks great with all the recent renovations. The shuttle service was on time. This is the perfect place to stay when taking a trip out of O'Hare. We were on an European trip so this location made it very convenient and took the worry out of finding parking.
After booking my room, i was reading some of the reviews and was kind of worried about what i was reading. Once i got to the airport in the morning i was picked up by the shuttle in in no longer than 15min. Once i arrived to the hotel it looked like it had just had some work done and the driver had confirmed that. The staff at the front desk were very nice upon check in. Once i got to my room everything was very clean, and the bed was VERY comfortable! In the Morning again i caught the shuttle back to the airport and got there in no longer than 10 minutes. I Would definitely recommend this hotel, i have a trip later this month and i will be rebooking with this Best Western! Great service!
It was a great stay. I was by myself, but got a kingsized bed which was a delight. The breakfast was served on a restaurant, about 1 min walk from the hotel. It was closeby o'hare airport, 10 min with car.
We were very impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything was, from room to lobby, to halls to exterior. We always saw someone cleaning. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was wonderful. Unlike many other hotels, our room was quiet - no hallway noises. No complaints about the shuttle service or the free parking.
Very bad hotel! We stayed for 3 nights every night there was no parking plus our hotel key never worked. We had to go back down and get a new key. EVERY NIGHT! On our last night there, they told me I checked out, the guy told me I didn't book Saturday he made me go find all my paper work at midnight, where I was so tired after a day of being out, After I found the paper the guy be hide the desk wasn't happy about it and gave me an attitude. I'll never stay here again just bad customer service and inconvenience. But,one thing I will say the lady who took care of the breakfast was awesome,
When I booked the room several months ago, the "sleep and fly" rate was available. When I arrived the night before my flight, they had discontinued that option and would not honor it. The EXTREMELY rude female desk clerk (I don't recall her name, but she was the only female working the desk the night of July 30, 2016 at 8PM), said that people now plan their parking via a 3rd party website. She knew this process well, because she explained to me that she worked there for a WHOLE month, and that this hotel has never offered any other plan (even though my printed confirmation shows it). I checked into the website she referred me to, and found that the parking would be $10/day for the entire trip - which wasn't what I planned on when I booked this hotel. I then asked to speak to a manager. She called the manager on the phone, and let me speak with her. She was kind with her words, and did not get rude with me at all...BUT...she told me she would like to speak to the desk clerk again to have her work out a deal for me. I thought it would be resolved in some fashion at this point. Instead, what she told the clerk to do was to charge me $10 per day for the entire trip's worth of parking. Again...$100 I didn't plan on spending when I booked the hotel. This was a very sneaky move to get me off the phone, still without resolve, and stuck in a hotel that I booked with the understanding of no-refund; or I would have stayed elsewhere for the night. In that moment, I vowed to NEVER give Best Western another dime, and decided to simply park at the airport and pay them direct. Funny thing, it was $95 for me to park there, as compared to the $100 the sneaky manager wanted to charge me. So with all of this, I vow to never, ever stay at a Best Western again, whether it be in Chicago, or anywhere on account of their sneaky business/management practices.
I used to travel quite a lot for my job and I always stayed at Best Western Hotels. I would not like to stay anywhere else. I am always very well taken care of. For my last job, I traveled 2 days each week and I had a standing reservation at Best Western in the city I traveled to.
Everything inside is new, after construction, fresh and clean, Rooms, bathroom, hallways are freshly redone. AC was noisy but overall value is great, close to the airport only 5 min, and no parking fee which is the best, because all other hotels are charging 25$
Like the title said, the shuttle service we received was awful! We arrived at 19.00 after 10 hours of flight at the Chicago O'Hare Airport. No signs or anything indicated where the shuttle will be leaving or even when. After asking a lot of people we found the right spot (45 min. later). A shuttle bus was there at the moment we got there and we thought we can finally go to bed soon. False. The bus was full and the driver told us he will be back in 10 minutes. Long story short: We waited for 90 minutes!!! We were trying to get a cab after 60 minutes but the prices for a 10 minute ride were ridiculous. When finally in the bus, after waiting for so long while being awake for more than 24 hours, we met a stewardess in the shuttle which told us that she called 5 times in the last 90 minutes and everytime the reception said the shuttle will arrive in 10 minutes. The worst service we ever got! Never ever again. Pay a little more and take something relaxing! The rooms by the way were used but clean and okay for us. Downside was that you could here everything on the hallway and from the street going by at the front. Breakfast was very good but served at a restaurant that shared to parking lots because there were renovations at the Hotel going on. Don't know how good the hotel breakfast was.
3rd time staying here and it has slipped. Renovations appear to be in progress but the overall quality has slipped. Banging outside doors and other noise such as loud talking disturb sleep. Breakfast below average for service and quality compared to other BW's. Had to request coffee refresh twice.
My wife and I stayed at the Best Western hotel at O'hare on July 30th and 31st. Check in was a breeze. Upon our arrival to the room, we entered and there was an obvious musty smell. The air condition was on. I removed my shoes to open the curtain and stepped in saturated carpet which apparently from the musty smell it has been leaking awhile. We went back down stairs and they moved us to another room. Once we settled in,it time for a shower. The water was barely warm. We were thinking that maybe there was high demand at thar time. Well I was wrong. Water out of the bathroom sink was hot but not the shower. Very disappointing. After traveling, we like a nice hot shower. Later on that day around 3pm, we needed to schedule the shuttle. No one was at the counter but the front desk person was on the phone. We figured that she was assisting a customer on the phone. We continued to wait. Based on the conversation, we determined it was a personal call. She would move back behind the counter an talk. We stood there for at least 5 minutes without assistance. Finally she acknowledged us and asked are you waiting for the shuttle? I said no. She put the phone down and then helped us. It appears her phone call was more important than helping a customer at the front counter. Our experience with is hotel makes me seriously reconsider booking at a Best Western in the future. As a past employee of this hotel chain, I was shocked to see this lack of customer service. Totally unacceptable.
This hotel recently had a make over. The rooms are much nicer now but they raised the prices quite a lot with the face lift. The internet in the hotel is extremely slow making it very difficult to do work online. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful as usual.
We needed a cheap, but nice, hotel near the Rosemont subway station so we could go downtown for the weekend. It was a 5 min drive to the station where we parked our car for the day. The hotel has free self parking, free WiFi and looks as if it was recently revamped in terms of fixtures and finishings. No complaints.
The room was pretty clean, you have to walk to the restaurant do get breakfast wasn't a bother at all. Receptionist was nice even suggested places that where open at midnight. Overall a good experience. We went to the Allstate arena for a concert and it was so close to it that we went walking.
Newly remodeled and a perfect stay...veteran discount with tax was $109.00 The inbound hotel was crap..(hiton garden inn) and $198.00!! For veterans, this is a hell of a hotel and highly recommend it.
Nothing luxurious here, and yet I enjoyed most every aspect of my stay. Centrally located, this hotel is just what I needed for this trip- close to my family and only 5 minutes from O'Hare airport. My room (232) was very quiet, even though we were a stone's throw from the airport. The pillows were small and squishy and the toilet was unusually small, but otherwise I enjoyed my stay. The room was very clean and updated, due to an in-progress renovation. This hotel offers a small buffet for breakfast (located at a restaurant a couple buildings down and is walkable), but the food was not very good.
When I arrived, the hotel lobby smelled like straight feces. There is construction going on, so i figured it was a funny smell from the work going on. The staff was short, and didn't give me any info about anything except that the elevator was broken. She was preoccupied with people on the phone and took two phone calls while I was standing there awkwardly unacknowledged. The hotel itself is beat up pretty badly. They are spending money to upgrade, and the items are modern, but the craftsmanship is poor. A classic "lipstick on a pig" scenario. The elevators are very old and one grinds as it moves and transits floors in a jerky motion, very unsettling, we took stairs after one trip. The hotel does not have vending machines, rather a bunch of overpriced items at the front desk. My wife a small bite when she takes meds, so we usually just grab something from the machines. We purchases two granola bars, for which the clearly marked price was 1.25. I had $3 in my hand and again the desk ignored me on the phone. Once she completed her call, she told me it would be $4. She must have seen the puzzled look on my face, and said, "$3 is fine." I was a bit confused, but let it go. The workers doing the rehab were always loitering around, making it uncomfortable. The breakfast area is being updated, so you have to walk to a restaurant for breakfast. It is just that a failed restaurant. The staff in there was super friendly, but it was extremely hot and we could hear other guests being vocal about it. Speaking of hearing, the road noise went on all night long, not the hotel's fault, but something to note, stay on the side away from the street. WiFi was spotty. Parking was crammed. This is by far the worst Best Western I have stayed in. I wish Best Western staff could "pop in" and check how they are doing things, I am certain it would not be to Best Western standards and will never stay here again, much less recommend it to anyone I like.
Remodel and decor is very nice and inviting. My bathroom still needed a lot of work. They need to update their work. Breakfast was good and always being refilled. Can't be any closer to Ohare Airport, perfect for early morning flight.
Great place to stay. Everything was great. Priced right and the staff is very helpful. Thank you for all that you did to get my 52 employees in and comfortable so quickly. We will make sure to use you on our next trip.
There is usually nothing fancy or notable about airport hotels. You'd do well to get somewhere clean, secure and inexpensive. If that's all you are looking for near O'Hare, I'd suggest this place. It's not much to look at from the outside and the interior corridors aren't much better but the rooms are updated and clean and surprisingly quiet for being right next to an airport. If you are looking to walk to anything notable, forget it. This isn't the place for you. But at the price, it's really good value. This hotel was much cleaner than more expensive hotels I've stayed in. There is free breakfast in an adjacent closed restaurant. It was surprisingly good despite the slightly sketchy appearance. I got my fill of food to last me until dinner here. I'd stay here without question if I was needing a room near O'Hare ever again.
Stayed here on short notice as I missed my connection to Minneapolis. Firstly availability was awesome - the staff were very understanding and we able to find me a room without fuss and without an exorbitant price. Just what I needed to cheer me up! Was really tired as I was flying from London and my flight was delayed by 3 hrs. However hotel was situated quite close to a Target where I was able to pick a few things up late night. The staff at reception were quite friendly and they even called the Best Western at Minneapolis free and informed them that I missed my flight and hence was stuck. This prevented me from being charged a night at the other Best Western. So grateful for this. Just seeing the Christmas décor at the time as well was heart warming!
The room was pretty nice and economical. The rest of the hotel (hallways, elevators, non-lobby entrances) seemed rather dated and well-used. What I assume is the normal breakfast area was under construction while we were there so hopefully they are planning to update the interiors over time. We had a layover at O'Hare so we only stayed for one night. The bed was comfy and the shower had plenty of hot water and pressure. Overall, it was a good deal and I'd go back again.
Hotel had a musty smell and could smell cigarette smoke. Rooms were clean. The neighborhood seemed a bit dark and dreary. Glad I was not alone as I would not have felt comfortable staying there. Breakfast was ok.
nice room, enough space, clean . breakfasts served in nearby restaurant were good. shuttle was helpful to get to the airport or town. The lobby was under reconstruction so it was small with some incoveniances, but I hope they'll get better. Free big enough parking and location close to O'Hare airport
Selected hotel based on price, proximity to airport, part of international chain (reputation) and had stayed there 1 year ago which was positive experience. In booking, I understood they are undergoing renovations but that was not a problem. But overall this year: "what a disaster" 1. Called from airport to confirm location of hotel shuttle--took 3 calls for someone to answer and elapsed time of 10-15 minutes between calls (1st 2 calls rang 10 times each with no one picking up or vm). 2.When checking in to room saw "do not disturb" sign. Had housekeeping check if occupied--it was. As returning to lobby to get a new unoccupied room saw woman who rode hotel shuttle and she was returning to her room after finding someone in it! When I got on elevator, man mentioned that had happened to him in this hotel when someone walked in on him. 3.No wakeup call; no explanation when checking out 4. No shuttle service: was told it was at another hotel (which it wasn't) and that Best Western would pay for taxi to airport ($20 fare); lobby person asked to have cab driver come in to get paid before taking me; afterward when I got in cab, driver said I was the 7th person he had taken that morning as there was no shuttle bus--all of whose taxi fares were paid for by Best Western--and that the hotel would not tell the taxi driver up front that they were paying so when he got to airport and found out the customer was not paying he had to return to Best Western to get paid after dropping off the customer (at least they told the driver and paid up front for me) Rooms were fine and fitness center was good. But they have to get their act together--any one of the above would be unacceptable and given the set of screw ups they need to fix their hotel management and customer service in a variety of areas But in sum, "worst Western"
Lobby was extremely small. Very crowded with only 10 people waiting. Room was in the middle of remodel construction. Windows were very difficult to open and close. Breakfast bar served tainted milk. The restraint was in pretty bad shape. It appears that they are going to renovate it but i'm surprised that they waited until it got to this shape before they started. The elevators were antiquated. We did not feel comfortable using them for fear that something could go wrong.
We waited for Pick up from the Airport for over one hour !!!! They never asked if we were Domestic or International !!!!!!! That should be the first thing you should ask your customer !!!!!!!! Than when we finally arrived back at the Hotel and I told the Manager what happened ,No apology was given and we told her we will never be back after having called several times wondering where our ride was they kept saying oh driver will be there traffic is heavy ! Lie, Lie, Lie, Holiday Inn is across from Best Western and we saw them come and go several times, Also Hotel is 8 mins from Airport ! she finally finished chewing the food in her mouth, and said I'll tell the girls they need to ask where customers are next time. That was it that's all she said Wow - Remember you are only as good as the people who greet you and take care of you at the front desk ! Folks go to Holiday Inn across the street , we are next time !!!
Nice hotel with convenient shuttle to O'Hare. Complementary breakfast offered at adjoining restaurant. Rooms are modern and clean. Some remodeling going on but it wasn't disruptive. Staff at front desk were friendly and helpful.
I have stayed here over 20 years. I really like the modernization of the hotel. However, Best Western needs to invest in decent internet. In our business world the internet is now a necessity, not a luxury. The internet at this location is down or very weak more than it is at a normal level. I am not able to hook up to my company computers on about half my stays
This hotel is under remodeling construction for it's appearance is not the best but it was enough for my budget .I don't recomment this place for families with kids because it is very dusty. The people's hotel know their jobs, always friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was overall OK since none of the surrounding hotels offer that service. The airport shuttle was very convenience for me because from there I used to take the train to down town area since there's not much to see around this hotel even not a restaurant to eat.
I'm a business consultant. I booked for 2 nights here. My stay was totally not worth it. I'm not very creepy about facilities and very adjustable. But I would review this place for below reason. 1) Normally i don't cross verify my credit card posting with hotel booking charge. Today when I checked, I saw exactly $100 overcharge. On calling today they say, I'm charged because an Iron board and Iron was missing from my room. I'm a travelling consultant and travel every week. For first time such a thing was said to me. Wasn't it their responsibility to inform me of the missing stuff before posting this charge ?? So next time you stay at this Best Western hotel make sure you cross check your Credit card statement with the Booking charge. They may silently overcharge you.
This Best Western runs a shuttle bus to and from the airport, two per hour round the clock. Mind you I had to find out where to meet the bus - there is a special shuttle bus area at ground level - stand 2 for BW. This was our first visit to Chicago and we arrived late in the evening - around 10pm - so the shuttle bus was really convenient. I hadn't realised the hotel was getting refurbished so understandably there were sections getting painted, boarded of,etc. To be honest, since we were only staying one night, that didn't bother us too much. The bedroom was at the end of the corridor and was a huge L-shaped room. The bed/ furniture/ bathroom all looked as if they were new. Everything lovely. Despite this the room was a bit soul-less since the 'short' part of the 'L' was empty. It was big enough to take another double bed, so the room looked kind of empty overall. However I'd rather have that problem than a poky wee room. Breakfast was included but was provided in the restaurant next door, (I assume since the hotel was in the middle of its refurb). We were disappointed in the breakfast. The food wasn't too bad: there were sausages, omelettes, pancakes, usual cereals, fruit, etc. It was all self-service (as usual), but only one member of staff, who stood blethering the whole time. All the crockery and cutlery were disposable. So no staff required! As we toured around we discovered that the disposable plates, etc are not all that unusual in the States. This was a bit of a hurdle for my husband, who won't go into a coffee shop if they only have paper cups! There was no restaurant in the hotel so we went to a bar/diner a couple of hundred yards away. Full of TVs! But good value.
this hotel was undergoing some remodeling, so that was a bit unsightly, but overall it served the purpose nicely for a one-night stay. nice breakfast at restaurant next door (which was included in price of room)
This is an older, slightly grubby property, slowly being upgraded. Having said that, my room was spotless and comfortable. The management are paying insufficient attention to details (the brand new shower fittings in my room had been installed wrong but apparently nobody has noticed yet). I don't much mind that it takes almost an hour to get a shuttle; I mind that, having phoned twice, I was never told that this is pretty much the normal time. My only question was whether or not there was a problem, in which case I would have taken a taxi. All I was told was "I have phoned the shuttle driver." Some leadership by the management to the staff (who have to take the heat over this) would be helpful. Getting something to eat is a problem. The attached restaurant is closed and only serves breakfast. The attached sports bar is...well, it's a sports bar, noisy with a sports-bar menu, not my favorite kind. Having said that, the sports bar's kitchen is good and the service is excellent. The hotel's people are excellent, from the front desk to the cleaning staff to the shuttle drivers. They make up for the property's tired spirit and poor presentation. But that's more of a burden than staff should have to bear. Management needs to wake up.
The room was ok. I had seen this room for $118 on line. When I called to make a reservation the girl said $150. I said it's $118 on line. She said in order to get that price I had to book on line. So I did. Two days before arrival I called to verify and ask questions about how the park and fly works. She said that I didn't have a park and fly reservation and to have it I would need $50 more. I said I would call her back. Checked into canceling my first reservation but it was too late. I would still have to pay, so I called back and said I guess I would have to pay the $50 for the park and fly because I could not cancel my previous reservation. She says that she can't sell it to me now cause the garage is full. I was getting pretty irate by now and she said they would make room for me. We made the plan to go to airport next morning and I asked about pickup. She said just watch for their van it runs every half hour. After our 20 hour flight home we stood outside waiting for the van. After 20 min he arrived and we flagged him down. He said did we call hotel for pickup? We said no we understood that you come every half hour. He said not to the international side, only domestic. He just happened to buzz by the international side since he had had no one on the domestic side. Driver was great by the way. Very frustrating. The staff needs to be better informed so they can give us the correct info. Luckily I'm a worry wort and made that first follow up call or we would have been left with nowhere to park our car. Don't plan to stay here again.
Being close to O"Hare Airport & shuttle service from hotel, it looks convenient. But i have to wait at airport for one hr. for shuttle service ( although hotel people say claim half an hour service. poor hospitality though rooms are spacious. breakfast at the attentively staffed Pine Grove restaurant next door was appreciated.
Convenient for my short business trip. Just stayed there the 1 night - hotel helpfully organized taxi for my trip next day. Free breakfast -very decent. Room was very clean and quiet - would recommend
Located a few miles from Chicago O'Hare this Best Western offers a place in between flights. Room is spacious, quiet and clean. Breakfast is less than expected and dining room is utilitarian in style. There is nothing within walking distance except for the customary MacDonald restaurant.
We wanted to save some major $ during our daughter's weekend stay for the ACEN convention, so we choose Best Western. Turned out to be a great decision because they had a shuttle that ran quite frequently during the day (until 10pm) for drop-offs at the D.S. Convention Ctr, which gave us a break. Free complementary breakfast at the attentively staffed Pine Grove restaurant next door (which was otherwise closed for construction) was appreciated. The room had a mini-frig and microwave. Clean, noise-proof room, free parking, and friendly staff. Called the front desk for extra bath towels and coffee during the first night's stay and they came within 10 minutes! Close to everything in Rosemont.
Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience at this hotel. The front desk staff were not helpful. There was no parking left and we had to wait for a car to leave to get a spot. There was construction everywhere and it smelled of paint...okay, this is hard to control, but still. We asked for an extra blanket and we got 1 sheet an hour later. Hotel advertised breakfast and there was no breakfast because of the construction. The road noise was incredibly loud all night. It sounded like a window was open. Sorry, but very disappointed. Will not stay at this ORD airport hotel again.
My wife and I were going to a concert that night. We have always stayed at Best Westerns, and have always been totally satisfied with our experience. Everyone is always so helpful, and we've had some great breakfasts. You're so close to all the things we want to do and see. We've never had a bad time staying here. Please, keep up the great work, and we'll keep on staying!!!
Enjoyed reasonably pleasant stay - however POOR LOCATION from Chicago - and little far from the Airport as well compared to some other properties. Had POOR INTERNET IN MY ROOM though internet around the hotel was v good. but this must be one off issue i hope..
This hotel is newly remodeled with fridgerators on microwaves in the room, free hot breakfast and the staff is awesome. Reliable transportation every half hour. I love staying there, it's a great price for being near the airport. There is also a McDonald's and a Sports Bar a few feet away. There is a target about 3 blocks walking distance.
This room was re-modeled and was fine but bathroom was made for very small people. Very uncomfortable due to a very poor design. Otherwise if you have to catch a flight at O'Hare, this location is perfect.
The hotel is being renovated so things are a mess. Once that is over it might be better. The breakfast is inconvenient as well as you have to go out to a nearby restaurant. The staff is great though and the shuttle service is good. Rooms are fine with a mini-frig and plenty of places to charge your stuff.
Pros: Rooms are being renovated with modern feel. cleaning of room is done daily and no issue found. mattress was firm. Breakfast is business as usual. Nothing fancy but no complaints either. Cons: Construction and renovation going on. Noise starts early morning disturbing the sound sleep as you can not sleep further as soon as it starts. 2. WIFI Sucks!! 3. Staff is not very nice. Some are good so depend what comes to you as luck!
Overall the staff at this hotel is very good. They have been remodeling the hotel and although it much better they also raised the rates. Some of the other hotels in the area offer the same or cheaper rates for newer modern hotels. I am satisfied but believe the price is high for what you get
Overall, the hotel experience was ok. The hotel is under renovations, so hopefully when its complete, the hotel will be better. The room was nice, though the bed was hard. The rest of the hotel was in need of refreshing.
The hotel was under construction when we stayed but we knew this going into it. The associate at the front desk was visibly flustered by the number of people in line and the phone continuously ringing. He was borderline rude with many of the customers and not very helpful. The room was OK with a lot of updates but the wifi was horrible. It was unusable for most of the night and when it did work it was painfully slow. The parking lot is extremely tight on space and doesn't appear to have enough space for everyone staying there. We considered purchasing the airport parking package but I'm glad we didn't. One customer was told by the desk staff that a 3rd party sells it and it couldn't be purchased at the hotel nor did he know who to purchase it from and another customer who had purchased it was told he had to park off site and he should have shown up earlier if he wanted a closer spot. The proximity to Ohare made our commute easy in the morning but it would have been nice if breakfast was ready before 6 am.
We only stayed at this hotel for one night coming in from the U.K. The hotel is in the midst of a renovation so that impacted the appearance inside and outside greatly. The restaurant that the hotel uses next door needs an upgrade, but it served the purpose just fine. Several food choices. During renovation it seems like better care could be given to appearance.
place really needs a makeover, outside appearance looks like a cheap hotel slow check in process construction in progress makes the place look tacky over inflated price for what you get, not worth the money lobby is small and outdated
This hotel is under construction ,maybe it will all be done soon. Rooms are ok, but the pictures do make it appear much nicer. There are still touches in the room that makes it not a good upgrade with the renovation, such as paint missing in bathrooms, outlets not working , no restaurant-Pine Grove - as shown online.
We stayed here the night before an early flight out of O'Hare. When we entered the lobby to check in, two intoxicated women had forgotten what hotel they were staying at and were extremely rambunctious. The staff at the front desk did an excellent job at handling the situation, and were able to check us in easily despite the disruption. The hotel was undergoing construction on the exterior, but there was no evidence of active construction on the interior. Our room was updated, clean and quiet. We utilized the free shuttle to the airport and arrived to our terminal on time. If I remember right, the shuttles run every 1/2 hour. Shuttle information was communicated to us upon check-in. I will mention that our shuttle was completely full, so if you need to be on a certain shuttle, make sure to get there early!
We spent a few hours in this hotel while waiting for a flight early in the morning. Nice and quite room, we were able to get a good night of sleep. Overall the facility including the room was clean. The Shuttle service to the airport was late in the morning.
The new rooms coupled with the staff and prices makes this a great place to stay. Why pay more when Best Western meets all my needs for a clean nice room with at great staff. The ease of parking and access to the airport make this a no brainer.
Breakfast is outside the hotel as they are under renovation. Please remember to bring your key and show it to the attendant to avoid any other questions. If you are staying for a week, make sure to ask the front desk for a new password in the middle of the week as it changes. The room and the sheets are clean, bed is comfortable. Has a shuttle from ORD airport.
We used this hotel for one night when we had to reschedule out United Flight to Houston due to flooding. I was not offered a senior discount when asking and should have checked on line to see it there was a cheaper rate. The rooms are nicely updated and the motel is being redecorated so is under construction. Air conditioning seemed to stop working. Restaurant next door surprisingly pretty good and a value. Breakfast decent, although would have liked cut up fruit. Location good only if you want to be near O'Hare and use the free shuttle. Staff did not inform us that the shuttle would take us after 5 to a nearby mall for more choices of restaurants and shopping, which would have been helpful as we were without our main luggage. Found out from shuttle driver in the morning on return to O'hare trip.
Best Western at Ohare was a great value. Rooms were surprisingly nice but a little small which was not a big deal. Considering the cost, it was well worth the money. The restaurant lounge was great too with better than average food and service for a sports bar. I will stay at this Best Western Again.
The rooms have had a decent makeover and pleasant and comfortable. However, i was there for four days on business and never ONCE was coffee or shampoo replaced in the room. This morning I NEVER RECEIVED MY WAKEUP CALL. Staff is nice enough but incompetent. I just don't have time to run around doing things that the staff was supposed to do for me. Horrible service. Stay elsewhere
Great hotel to stay for park and fly. Even though we were by the airport, the air traffic noise was not too loud. The room was very clean, updated, and pleasant. The staff were great also. Shuttle service to airport is good. We would stay here again.
While I was staying, a part of the hotel was under construction. It was noisy. In addition to the problem, there was something trouble with the internet cable system in the district. So the internet system and the digital TV in the hotel room didn't work. I couldn't watch TV nor access the internet service until in the middle of the night. It couldn't be helped. The hotel staff was friendly. There is a sports-bar-restaurant next to the hotel. I'd like to stay in the hotel again in the future.
I used this Best Western location mainly because they offered a park and fly option. Even though the hotel was under construction, everything was satisfactory. There weren't any noises associated with construction during the night or early morning. My room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a little hard to locate but was delicious nonetheless. The shuttle to the airport was right on time and was a pleasant ride. I felt very comfortable leaving my car parked there for the duration of my trip. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel
The place is under a remodel, but the friendly staff allowed us to ignore the construction. Kizzy was at the front desk and she gave us suggestions for dinner and even avoided a parking nightmare by explaining where it was safe to park while we were away on our flight. Will stay again based on her customer service and the nice room. The remodel looks to be a great upgrade!
In the process of a remodel, much nicer than last time I stayed there. Evening Staff a little slow but ok. No parking out back due to dumpsters. Internet and TV was down but so was the whole city of Rosemont.
Let's ignore the fact that it's undergoing renovations and the place is a noisy mess. That won't be forever. Can tell the place was really showing wear and tear so the renovations probably much needed. But the renovations seem really cheap. Shoddy work- huge dings in tub sloppily covered with paint to try to hide it, crooked light fixtures, sloppy painting and drywall work, seal around door already loose, switch plate screws already coming out. My point is that this is what I could see. Likely the unseen "improvements" are just as bad. So I don't think the renovations will really help this hotel. Lobby is tiny. People standing on top of each other waiting to check in when shuttle from airport does a drop off. Free breakfast is at adjoining restaurant/bar. I didn't try it so can't comment on quality. Very small parking lot shared with two restaurants and a bar. I didn't feel entirely saw in parking lot by myself. Room was clean enough. Not great but not awful. Carpet seemed dirty and fixtures not wiped down in awhile. If you just want a cheap place close to the airport, this is fine. If you are a female traveling alone or with kids on vacation, I wouldn't recommend.
they recently remodeled the hotel giving it a much needed improvement. but they also raised the rates which makes it less reasonable. its still a little lower cost than hotels in the area but still isnt as nice at the others around it
Customer service very poor. They need more training on their staff. Hotel is under construction. Make sure to assign the rooms which are not close to the dusty areas. They seems like no care attitude.
We stayed here on Monday 28th March 206 in room 203, a non-smoking king. The first disappointment was that, although we chose this Hotel because it was close to O'Hare Airport, has a free airport shuttle, WIFI and included breakfast. We only managed to get on the shuttle because it stopped to pick up a large family group who had booked. The Manager told us that they don't collect unless passengers phone the Hotel - a well kept secret then!. When we arrived in the small lobby the check k-in was pleasant and swift (ahead of the large group!) what we then couldn't fail to notice was the major refurbishment on the ground floor and having to walk down "Polythene Alley" to the lift (Elevator). This lift needs attention. The first pleasant surprise was our room which looked like it had recently been refurbished, with fresh walls, clean carpets and nicely finished bathroom. At this time or year we didn't need the aircon, so sleep was relatively quiet being so close to the main roads and airport. At least until the rubbish truck started banging about at about around 5.a.m. (However we were awake by then -that's how jetlag works east to west). Breakfast was another pleasant surprise, taken in a restaurant at the end of the Hotel's car park, in a very large room dedicated to BW guests. We had a( deluxe) continental breakfast with good scrambled eggs, pancakes, and sausages along with cereals , muffins etc. Good freshly made coffee as well. So summing up. Well if quests need to telephone the Hotel to get collected from the airport, they should say so on the confirmation. They need to get they lift fixed (Probably as part of the refurb anyway), and tell potential guests of the refurbishment. Would we stay again - yes, the management save the day being polite, efficient and courteous.
The staff is not the greatest at customer service, there was no parking in their lot and was told to go to the garage next door, no parking there either, had to park at the restaurant. The room was updated but the construction is very shotty. Undergoing renovations so a lot of banging. Lighting in the bathroom is horrible . People sitting in the halls. Free breakfast, but you have to leave the hotel and walk across the lot to the restaurant to get it. The only thing good about this place is the price, the bed is big and comfortable, and the free breakfast is actually hot and a lot to choose from like eggs, French toast sticks, yogurt, cereal, muffins, and such. If you just need a quick place to shower and sleep then this is it.
The room is wide and a bed is comfortable, wifi is good connection. Free Airport shuttle bus serves, approximately thirty-minute intervals, is very convenient. When you want to get Blue line subway to go to downtown it take you to the Airport. Of course when you coming back to hotel the bus pick you up, but need call. My staying was very nice.
The hotel is currently going through renovations. It's a plus because the room I was in was already remodeled and looked great. They have two elevators and a breakfast. Great location near O'Hare, free shuttle to airport. Once renovations are finished it will be a great!
I checked into the Best Western at O'Hare the evening of 3-1-16. The first floor was under construction. I was assigned a room on the second floor. The room was clean and I was satisfied with it until bedtime. The occupants in the room above me were very noisy all evening long and at 1:00 AM started taking a shower. I immediately heard water running. When I checked my bathroom water was flooding the floor, coming from the bathroom above me. I called the night manager and he checked it out and reassigned me to a different room. I feel for the inconvenience and lack of sleep I experienced that I should be refunded all or part of the room charge of $93.88. Merlin Gay 620 124th St SW, #31 Everett, WA. 98204 425-322-5211 .
The staff is so rude and nasty especially the morning staff.I will not stay there again. The elevators are dangerous you just might get stuck in one because it drops twice when you are on it.I will not recommend this hotel to any of my colleagues.
Great price, close to airport, clean rooms. Remodel was REALLY poor quality for work done, sloppy. Was given a re-keyed-card without checking ID, really concerns me for safety of my self and my belongings. Staff was friendly. May stay there again if I can't find another option for the low price in an ok neighborhood.
We had american airlines cancel our flight( feb 25 2016 ) soo they put us in this hotel if you want to call it this place was horrible the sheets were not clean and it smelled like weed in the whole hotel if you have last 70 bucks and need a place to stay than okay but if you can afford something better please do this place is a crap hole. There was music playing till 4am and there was a lot off teens and it was soo getho . Please do not stay at this place
We stopped here as a pass through on our way home from vacation. I booked off of hotels.com because the rate was reasonable. Hotel is under construction but it was late when we arrived, so did not effect us much. However, walls and door are very thin...there was a very loud family in the halls and entryway for about 30 minutes, which we could hear the entire time. The renovations are nice, but they should have invested in better doors. Offers free breakfast at nearby restaurant in the morning. It was ok, but don't plan to stay again.
My reason for staying here was purely coincidental. Spirit Airlines delayed the flight from MSP to ORD and thus my connecting flight on American Airlines from ORD beyond, was missed. Though Spirit was totally at fault in this situation, American Airlines provided me with a discount voucher for this Best Western and it had to suffice. I'm okay with BW...this one is undergoing a renovation and happily, I was in a newly redecorated room. The room and bed was comfortable, everything was new. The color scheme wasn't harsh or unpleasant. I really didn't hear airplanes, I wasn't listening for them. Because of the renovation, the continental breakfast (which was the same as all Best Westerns) was a short walk from the lobby across the parking lot to a former restaurant being used for the purpose of BW guests. The front desk manager was working at the desk upon checkout and was very prompt in providing the receipt. The shuttle from and to the airport were scheduled and on time. Given the circumstances, all was well.
I was stuck overnight and I was taken to this BW. First of all it was super late and I was exhausted. Secondly, it was packed w people in the same position. It was exactly what I needed. James ran the desk like a champ, getting everyone into comfy and clean rooms while also dealing w several irate customers. I was so impressed w him. The rest of the staff was also very helpful, like Vanessa and Kenny.
I've booked this deal by Priceline. The hotel was under construction and I was never informed by Priceline nor through the hotel when I checked in. Sunday morning on February 07, 2016 at 8:30am the workers started banging and hammering right out side of my door (they were changing the carpets). I called the reception and ask them to stop the noise, because I could not sleep, they stopped for 5 minutes and started again, I called another 2 times, but they just ignored me. Next day I contacted Priceline, and since than we are exchanging emails with them; yesterday, February 17, I've got a final email saying that they could not do anything about it, and the hotel is refusing to return will not be able to refund or compensate me for my lost (which I never asked for, but I think they should, because they did not HONORED their part of the contract, which was to provide me a night of sleep). I feel disrespected by Best Western's management and its personal working during my stay in Chicago. I would like you to be aware of how insensitive the management/personal at this location, and if you can, please avoid staying there. There are a lot of other options for hotels in Chicago. I WILL NEVER USE BEST WESTERNS AGAIN. Sincerely, Moacyr Marchini P.s. Cassandra is lying, I did call the front desk 3 times to complain about the noise.
The front desk needs to be trained that customer service is different from following the rules. They asked a jet-lagged me who just hauled two suitcases to come down at 2am and get the toothpaste toiletries they forgot to put in my room in the first place. 2. When it was snowing and I wanted local advice if it was better to take a train to the UNion station or a cab they refused to advice saying that they cannot advice though they were locals and I was visiting. 3. Poor service on top of banging construction through the night and dirty smelly rooms. 4. Restaurant is away from the rooms and you have to walk through the snow to get there. Only to find that its shut down for repair.
We chose the Best Western Rosemont for the parking. The price for parking is similar to near by garages, but we chose to stay near the airport the night before for an early flight. The room we had was recently renovated and clean, but was quite small. The hotel is currently under renovation, which is needed, and I understand they want to generate revenue while under construction, but the place is a law suit waiting to happen. The areas under construction are not blocked off. Construction materials are all over the main walk ways and stairwells. The main reason for the stay was parking, so on to that. The van departs the hotel every half hour and was quick ride to the terminal. The ride back was not as nice. We arrived to the international terminal and where told to call for pickup. Several calls where placed with no answer. Finally an answer, "oh the driver will be right there, he is on the airport". 2 more phone calls and a half hour later (standing outside in 10 degree weather) the van came. Think we will be looking for better options next time.
As the owner of a hospitality consultation and management group, I was deeply disappointed by my experience from start to finish. The on-site construction was chaotic and not well contained. What was not under construction was old, rickety, and concerningly dirty. Only 1 (very old & barely functioning) elevator was in service and it was on the exact opposite end of our hall. It was as if we were staying in an unfinished, abandon building. The room itself was clean and clearly renovated, so that was a relief. The girl at the front desk was pleasant, but unprofessional and seemingly untrained. We expected that room service would have been available, but since it was not, we called asking if she had any menus of local restaurants that deliver. Instead of sending one up, she suggested we walk back down and pick it up from the front desk if we were interested. But the most unbelievable experience of the evening was the bugs found in our towels (I have photos for reference). Due to this experience, I will not be recommending Best Western to any of my friends, family, or clientele.
Poor wifi, staff helped me out by changing rooms :) hope they fix this. under construction presently.....until done it is a bit messy. but staff were very friendly, I would stay once again Airport nice and close.
They have remodeled the rooms and now are much nicer. They did raise the price since the remodel. This is one of the better priced hotels near the airport but still pricey for what you get. However the staff has always been nice and helpful.
We have used this hotel in the past when we fly out of O hare. It is always clean and meets the need of a hotel before a flight. This last trip my wife and I forgot a coat in the room and didn't realize it until we were back from the trip and home 7 days from when we left. My wife called the hotel and they stated it was locked up safe in a closet waiting for a call. I drove in to pick it up and dealt with Vanessa and Gricelda both wonderful young women, they had the coat offered a cup of coffee and thanked me again for our business. Great customer service.
Location was great, walking distance to All State Arena was a breeze. The Continental breakfast was ok, currently doing renovation, The hallways and stairs need updated but the room was very nice for the price. The front desk attendant was Awesome! he handle the overflow of guest nicely most others could not of done this at 10:00pm on a Saturday. Thanks James!
The only thing I was disappointed about was that the restaurant wasn't open early enough for us to eat the complimentary breakfast there before our 7 a.m. shuttle...and to get to the restaurant we had to go outside in the cold. Besides that, the front desk clerk was very nice when we checked in, answering all my questions about the shuttle. The shuttle was organized, you signed up for a departure time, and was on-time taking us plus on-time and in the place they said they would be when we came back. I admit I don't like walking all the way from baggage claim to the shuttle center at O'Hare, but I think the only way to avoid that is to stay at the hotel right on O'Hare property. Our car was safe there for a week, no problems with the park 'n fly option, and the bed was like a cloud...loved it!
They are in the process of remodeling and upgrading this hotel. A lot of dust was in the air. The breakfast was very good and great people however you had to walk outside to another building to get there in the snow. Breakfast had a great variety of fresh items. We had some small issues with our room and they did give us a discount on the room. The area was nice right across from Enterprise car rental. Once this hotel is completely remodeled it will be a great place to stay.
Our entire reservation was messed up. Our keys got voided within one hour of us checking in and by the time we placed our things in the room, went to dinner and got back.... the hotel staff could not locate our room and kept telling us we were in a different room, when we certainly were not. It took 30 + mins to locate our belongings in the room we had already been assigned to. It was all very unorganized. The whole hotel was under construction and they continued working, making awfully loud noises until 6:30-7pm. Construction tools were left out in the hallway unattended for hours. A large circular saw was left right out in the hallway, with no one around for hours... sounds safe, right? The window frame in our room was broken and would not shut properly. It was also left open the whole day prior to us checking in, therefore it was freezing in our room. The whole visit was not pleasing in the slightest, will certainly never be staying there again. Will be sure to let anyone know going to Chicago/Rosemont, to not stay there.
Best Wester at Ohare Air port is nearest and quiet and comfortable...very convenient and nice bar and place to eat ( shoeless Joe )...friendly staff great services and clean quiet room. Courteous Hot breakfast area included!
We had an excellent stay and loved the shuttle to the All State Arena!! The breakfast selection was amazing. The staff that checked us in was extremely informational and friendly. Thank you so very much!
The Best Western staff were friendly and courteous. Was the perfect place to spend the night with a baby (after an evening arrival from Europe) before renting a car the next morning and driving elsewhere. Make sure to book in advance, as the hotel was pretty full. But be warned: the nearby Enterprise car rental staff are the worst. Have had many good experiences at other Enterprise branches in the past. But we had a simply awful experience at the O'Hare location near this Best Western. The Enterprise staff were unprofessional, imcompetent, and unhelpful. Plus, Enterprise has no WiFi if you hit a snag and need help.
I stayed at this hotel on November 11, 2015. This was the worst experience living in any hotel on planet earth. I arrived at 1:30 AM on November 12. Upon reaching the hotel the guy at the front desk asks me if I have a coupon for the price for a reservation that I had made 2 weeks in advance. Then it took him about 40 minutes to finally assign me a room. I go to the room and try to open the door with the electronic key and the room would not open. So I go down back to the guy at the front desk and explain him the situation and he tells me that I probably went to the wrong room. He sends another employee with me to the room which he had assigned me earlier to see what is going on. The employee the door of the room and to my surprise there seems to be a person in the room. Instead of greatly apologizing to the guest that was staying in the room, the employee asks the guest to open the door or he would open the door. Upon hearing this, the guest got infuriated and was calling the cops. All this time the hotel employee kept insisting that the guest should not have been in that room and even asked the guest to provide a letter confirming his reservation at 3:00 AM in the morning. Then we went down to the front desk again and the same guy now issued me another room. Thinking that this might be an error I let it go and remained calm. So now I go to my new room pulled my luggage in and turn the lights on in the room and only to be shocked to see that there is a couple already occupying the room. Fortunately for me the couple was sleeping and did not wake up by the sound and I quietly exited the room. At this point, I just talked to other hotels nearby, got a room, and just left the hotel. However, during this time another guest came to get a room, and had the exact same experience.
The bathroom had no shampoo. The bottom of the toilet was not changed out during recent remodel and there appeared to be a small "turd" in bottom of toilet.....it was not because it would not flush but who would know unless the toilet was flushed. Advertised as Wi-Fi but was in room as far from front desk practically and wifi worked maybe 10% of the time....totally disappointing. TV remote control would only channel down....channel up did not work. Outside of hotel is currently getting facelift but too many issues still inside in my opinion. I would not stay there again.
This place is horrible I wouldn't recommend it not even to my enemies! Front desk is non communicative I asked to get a shuttle to target and they said yes then I came down at 4 and they said that there was no backup driver ! And that they weren't informed about it ! The room had a nasty smell! And then I go to the bathroom and it had small bugs on it I checked out not long after and all they wanted to do was give me point . That's ridiculous never going back.
We booked this hotel last minute because of a cancelled flight and were very pleased with this hotel room. The bed was so comfortable. It was only one night but we would definitely stay here again if we are in Chicago. The hotel staff were very accommodating and very nice. We didn't stay for breakfast as we had an early flight but the coffee was great.
We arrived on a rainy Chicago evening on the free shuttle from O'Hare to a rather grim looking hotel with signs of construction detritus in the car park, my low cleanliness rating reflects this and not the room cleanliness. The reception area does not look welcoming but the ladies in it were friendly and efficient. This place had that tired, used feel that busy places have after a while. However, the room was excellent, soundproofed from the airport noise and clean and comfortable. It had a microwave, refrigerator, iron with board and the ubiquitous multi-channnel wide screen TV. The hotel also has a gym area if you fancy working out. The construction area is screened off but the friendly artisans like loud music and I am glad my room was farther away from the renovation and construction area. I spoke to a construction worker and he reckoned they should be done around the new year. Self serve free hot breakfast is served in the Pine Grove Restaurant next door and is very good fare in a cafeteria like environment.
For a reasonably priced, clean, and friendly place to stay with food in walking distance this is a very good option. It is close to the airport and its easy to get around this side of town. The hotel is being remodeled currently and the work they are having done looks very nice, our room was clean, quite, and was decorated nicely.
Hotel was under construction, which was not mentioned on this site, it was a complete dump. The staff were nice and the room was good. The pictures posted of this hotel were false, they had to be from another property. Extremely disappointed.
I stayed at this Best Western hotel for one night as my connecting flight did not leave from O'Hare until the next morning. My room was appalling to say the least. There was a huge crack in the bath tile. The exhaust fan was loud. The faucet on the sink was broken. There was mold/mildew in the bathtub area. The linen on the bed was filthy, and the room was not cleaned properly. The room was also very outdated. I expressed my concerns to the front desk clerk who was rude and unresponsive to my concerns. This was definitely one of the worst hotel experiences that I have ever had. In addition, the free coffee machine in the lobby was not working when I checked in or when I checked out. The only positive is that the hotel is close to O'Hare Airport. However, this does not make up for its many, glaring shortcomes. Don't waste your money staying here!
I chose this location due to the Airport convenience and generally Best Western is a nice value for the money. I was not disappointed. The renovations were going on but my room was newly renovated so was like new. And I was not bothered at all by any of the wrk going on. Walking distance to many restaurants (near the All State Stadium and next to that are many dining options. Also the free shuttle to the airport drops you right at the Blue line and you can be downtown in less that 30 minutes for 5 bucks! The staff is great. The fitness center is new and also nice. Only complaint was that the breakfast had no fresh fruit. not even bananas. Will be back next time in Chicago. (WiFi is also fast...microwaves and fridge in room and grocery store is about a 10 minute walk)
My cheap company put us up here during a trade show. They owners are putting some money into the property but it for now it's a depressing, run down mess. The 3rd floor where I stayed does have renovated rooms that are actually pretty good. The halls and lobby are smelly and dirty. The breakfast room is in a shuttered restaurant next door. Food choices are bleak.
This hotel had many amenities, especially a super complimentary breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I even got a call from the front desk a few hours after I checked in to ask if everything was satisfactory. The manager, who I spoke with the morning of my departure, was very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
This was my 2nd visit to best western. Last time it was with frnds and this time with family. All is all a good hotel with comfortable beds and helpful staff. A good complimentary breakfast which usually many hotels are not providing these days. We have some complimentary coffee in room as well as reception and the coffee is good. They have a small market place, were we can buy water, soft drinks and chops and also a Gym, although I never used the gym. Only problem was the receptionist is super busy all time and there would be a huge queue t talk to her. Once I waited in line and then returned and called from room and was answered immediately. Last point the hotel is very close to the airport.
The hotel is filthy, noisy and felt very unsafe. I wouldn't return whether I was travelling alone or with family. In my husbands words "It was so gross" That pretty much sums it up. I wish I had just moved to another hotel but by then we were exhausted from travelling and ready to crash. Even then, we went to a local restaurant just to get out of the hotel at 10pm. I wish I had known, but now at least I can warn others. There is a Holiday Day Inn Express close by, that is likely a better option especially if you are travelling with children.
Give Robert a raise! We were trying to catch a flight from O'Hare to ATL early in the morning and my girlfriend forgot her phone in the room. Luckily, we called and he managed to get the phone as we made our way back on the provided shuttle bus. Orlando the shuttle driver was quick to pull us into our terminal and not the Shuttle stop. Thanks to them they saved our day! About the room, we stayed on the third floor and the room was very nice, very clean, no complaints. Would definitely consider staying here again!
This hotel is close to the airport and has a shuttle service to and from the airport. The room was clean although the carpet had a big white stain on it. The bed was really comfortable and the stay was good.
We stayed in this hotel last week. No water for two nights, when I've asked receptionist why, her answer was its not my business. Extremely rude and not professional. The rooms are very old and smelly. Breakfast is not served in the same hotel you need to walk to completely different building. Not very convenient. I'm warning people about the very rude staff.
i had a nice clean room and the amenities were great as usual. good free breakfast too in the morning. i came to town to see the ny rangers play at the united center and i enjoy staying close to the airport. free parking for hotel guests if your staying here and also a free ride to and from the airport if you want to use the shuttle.
We were being dropped off at the hotel by a Chicago friend. Did not realize the parking lot was being repaved and took awhile before we found the back entrance - lots of roadwork in the area. Hotel itself was conveniently located with shuttle for an early AM flight. Restaurant/bar located adjoining the hotel was great for a relaxing dinner, and quite popular with the locals. Room was quiet, comfortable, and rather large.
I call in to see if I'm able to check in earlier since I've flown to Chicago at an earlier time and I'm beyond exhausted. I call around 5am today 10/3/15 to find out they have only one king bed for a room when I specifically made the reservation a week ago and asked for two beds. I'm told I would have to call later to see if they have two beds avail. I get to the hotel to see their water is not working from 12PM-3PM and on top of that when I get to my room 334, the A/C isn't working and there isn't a way to control the temp. I call the front desk in which I speak with Vanessa, the manager who tells me they will send a maintenance guy over. 30 mins go by and he never showed up. I come down pissed off to speak with her and she said that he was busy. In my mind, if he is busy, why didn't you just call me and let me know to follow up. She didn't apologize nor say sorry. I had previously asked to be given a different room and the manager told me they don't know the conditions of the A/Cs at their rooms. (Well, start keeping track now! Improve your customer service and take initiative!) So I waited close to an hour overall to get a room with working a/c that I can control as I wanted to take a nap, but couldn't due to the wait. Avoid this hotel at all cost! The breakfast is great, but this place lacks caringness, customer service and much more.
Fantastic night spent at Best Western at O'Hare - after a late arrival due to a 3 hour delay in the departure of our flight from London,it was a pleasure to arrive and be promptly collected by the hotel shuttle, greeted by the friendly receptionist and then assisted with our luggage (unasked) by the shuttle driver to our lovely room. After a shower and night's sleep in the wonderfully comfortable bed ,we had a free breakfast and were ready for our onward flight to Orlando.
Few things went right - the bed was nice, and the proximity to the concert arena and the bar next door rounded out the only good things I can say about this place. I tried to find more, but couldn't. We reserved a king suite with an in-suite hot tub. Upon arrival we were told we couldn't have the room because they were all under renovation. No prior notice or opportunity to cancel. So, we were down-graded with no apology or attempt to "make it right". To add insult to injury, we discovered early Saturday morning (approx. 7:30) that the renovations were commencing for the day. Impossible to sleep past that rude awakening. It appeared our room had already been renovated, but they may have not completed the job . The desk chair was very worn and stitching torn. The water pressure was practically non-existent - worst shower ever in a hotel. I would advise against staying here, or at the very least call ahead to make sure you get the room you want and get the status of the renovations.
