Best Western Premier Hotel de la Paix

We were on a road trip through the champagne region and decided to stay in this hotel while visiting Reims. The hotel is located in a very nice neoclassical building and the location is great, close to a lot of restaurants and bars and 10 minutes walk from the cathedral. It also had parking on site for our car. Overall the common areas and lobby are very nice with plenty of wood used throughout. Staff were nice and helpful. Rooms are nice and clean but a little bit on the smaller side. A little tight already with 2 persons and 2 large suitcases. Still the rooms are neatly designed and the bathroom feels very new and nice. The bed was very comfortable. They don't provide many toiletries as in other similar category hotels. Lighting is dim which I personally don't like. Overall our stay was very good and as expected and I think it was a fair price for what we paid around 160 EUR.

Early February saw us rock up to the hotel in Reims, early afternoon on a Friday so the weekend barriers were up yet (there is a code to enter the pedestrian zone by vehicle). Parking is available for a fee and the car park is under the hotel. Vincent Berthuit had made reservations for us for dinner and the room was ready on arrival, 5th floor, balcony over the courtyard. A bottle of Champagne was waiting as a gift for being a frequent visitor, merci! There are some renovations going on at reception currently however a temporary setting is made through to the left and the bar to the right. This will be finished by the end of March and I look forward to the changes. The bar is large and a gathering place tourists, business users and locals alike. A good team of staff in place both in the bar and with reception. The Champagne selection is fabulous! On the Saturday evening we had a reservation for the in house restaurant ‘la paix'. It too, had recently undergone some changes and while it no longer extends onto the Place Drouet D'Erlon (the main street to one side of the hotel) it has had an extension to the rear terrace side. This is easier on the waiting staff as the tables are closer to the kitchen. The team in place are experienced and many have been there for years, dinner service was faultless and I had French onion soups followed by prawns in a light cream sauce with tagliatelle and of course cafe gourmand to finish. I look forward to summer visits when the terrace doors can be opened once more. Two great days and nights, local shopping for Champagne and other things available locally.

Very convenient for the centre of Reims, modern well equipped hotel with large rooms. Quiet room, Comfortable bed and good shower. WiFi was fast and reliable. There is an attached cafe, bar and restaurant. The bar is spacious with a good selection of champagnes and other wines by the glass.

We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western hotel. The rooms are a good size and had all the amenities you would hope for on either a leisure or business stay. We used the on-site parking within the basement garage that was very handy and allowed for a prompt exit. The staff were extremely professional. The breakfast is good but a little limited on overall choice (lack of fruit). The sleep quality was good with little noise from outside the hotel. However, there was some noise coming in from other rooms. The hotel is well located for the main sights.

Centrally hotel less than 5 minutes walk from the train station. The room was spacious and comfortable with chairs and a table. The bar was attractive with a good selection of local champagnes. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Recommended hotel for a trip to Reims

I recently enjoyed a pleasant stay at a centrally located hotel in Reims. The accommodation was comfortable and well-appointed, providing a relaxing retreat. The hotel's breakfast was excellent, offering a diverse and delicious spread. The standout feature was the kind and helpful personnel, whose genuine hospitality enhanced my experience. However, the sauna and swimming pool were often crowded, limiting the enjoyment of these amenities. Overall, my stay was enjoyable, with exceptional service and comfortable rooms. I recommend this hotel for its central location and welcoming atmosphere.

We have visited this hotel, since 2000, when in Champagne. Now back again, the new, better, hotel is AB Fab, fabulous! We had 3 rooms, best bathroom ever, in a hotel. Excellent breakfast, and cool bar in the evening. Best location. Sparse with amenities, and towels clean, but old, and too few. Only one free water for 2p!! Asked if we could have one from housekeeping, NO. Book towards he courtyard. Rek room 241/233. Perfect w parking in the hotel. However, do not go to the restaurant the rek, it's confusion kitchen, not traditional french.

Had some bad experiences with Best Western hotels so was reluctant to stay in one, but the ratings were good so we tried it. It is very good. Rooms are excellent, the restaurant is pricey, and a typical hotel restaurant but the food was good. Breakfast choices good but you have to pay extra for an omelette or poached eggs, which is irritating, but other than that fine. Also a great location. Would recommend it

Les Crayères being fully booked, I ended up for the first time at this BW for a 1-night stay. My "privilege" room #435 proved spotless, modern and very quiet with a decent view over the city (cathedral, etc.). The automatic lighting in the minibar area can be a nuisance, though: this light turns on as soon as someone passes by, even in the middle of the night, and there is seemingly no way to switch it off. Otherwise, I dealt with efficient and kind staff everywhere. The breakfast buffet included in my rate was pretty standard. However, I found the breakfast room below par: it somehow looked like a school canteen, the sugar bowls were unusable, and the orange squeezer was dirty (juice flows everywhere) and inefficient (takes a lot of time and effort to actually get a glass of orange juice). These are minor drawbacks. Overall the hotel delivered a superb experience. I'll happily come back.

Stayed in Sept on what was probably the hottest weekend in sept for a while….. arrived early but had booked parking so was able to park up and go an explore the area until the room was ready. Had a nice room with a view over rooftops to cathedrals etc … room was a good size, all you needed, coffee machine, safe, great bathroom etc… only thing I would have preferred is ability to control your own temp in room as it was hot in afternoon and overnight (controls are set across floor/hotel) so can't be changed in room only switched on or off) … We used the bar a couple of time and whilst pricey was a nice place to sit and relax on an evening with good service … Used the pool once which is quite small but ok when not busy, it's a bit of a maze to find it but keeps you fit !!! Overall would recommend for anyone visiting Reims …

We stayed 2 nights in Reims to see the champagne houses. This location was very convenient to tour the area Also close to bistros & sights. Good value clean and well located. The war museum and cathedral were very worth seeing although the war museum was not walking distance

Stayed 5-8 September 2023 We had a 24 hour flight, the 1-1/2 hour drive was twice as long as we missed a turn, so when we arrived at this hotel it was such a relief! Though the room wasn't ready, we were happy to walk down the street to one of the restaurants to have a beer, a spritz and our first real meal in France! We returned at 3:30pm and went up to our room and collapsed! We had booked the Deluxe room that gave us plenty of room to open our luggage. The bathroom was lovely and spacious, the shower inviting. The nightlight in the toilet got many comments on FB, and it was nice to have it. The bed was extremely comfortable. We slept 12 hours that first night! We did not have breakfast here, but found a great boulangerie a couple of blocks away on Rue de Vesle. Loved having our patisserie in the morning. Can highly recommend this hotel with all its amenities. And according to one gentleman we spoke with, you can reserve parking under the hotel at 18€ (they only have 50 spades), but parking just across the street is 16€. We should have stayed longer!

Extremely pleasant and comfortable stay- we loved our two rooms on the 9th floor. Staff were very friendly- had a great night there. Highly recommend. Our stay had been unexpected and booked last minute and we will be back!

Great location, excellent service, nice breakfast, comfortable beds, clean, fast wifi. That's six out of six for me. Best western isn't my favourite chain, so this was an unexpected pleasure on what i assumed would be the standard sub par fare.copeau BW.

Had a great stay here - lovelier hotel than expected. Few problems getting let in to the car park but nothing major. Staff were all very friendly, great view from our room. Big breakfast available and we had a couple of drinks and snacks in the bar. Nothing to complain about at all.

From reception and all throughout the hotel all staff were so friendly. Rooms were lovely and very well appointed. Food and bar great with fabulous quality food choices- typical of good French restaurants! And the best bit…a very dog friendly hotel!

The pros...great location, easy to get to/from train station and to many of the sites and champagne houses, if mobility is not a problem. Most staff (like Vincent) and a few others, are very friendly, professional and helpful. Hotel is modern and clean. Has a nice vibe to it. The cons....internet is the worst we have experienced in the last 15 or 20 years. Extremely slow and unstable. The rooms, while sleek and modern looking, are not very functional. Not a lot of surfaces to put stuff on, or other storage spaces...rather a lot of flashy furnishings that aren't that useful. The breakfast buffet was of pretty good quality, but never fully laid out when they opened.

A brilliant hotel, friendly and helpful staff with an absolutely amazing location (right in the centre of Reims). Clean and tidy with beautiful views of the city. We received a free upgrade and the staff could not be any better. We are planning a return trip and will 100% be returning to the best western!

First of all it has very good location in the center of the city. Nice, cozy, well equipped room with beautiful view and interesting design. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast on the terrace. Coffee machine in the room. Very clean and comfortable. Everything is stress free. We liked this hotel very much. We'll be back very soon.

We can only praise our stay in this hotel. Everything was perfect. We had previously booked a parking place (safe thing to do because places are limited in number) and we were greeted in the underground parking by ROBIN (from the reception) who guided us and helped us to our parking spot. The same ROBIN took then time to explain some things about how to navigate in the city, he also recommended the hotel restaurant, which was a great tip (we loved our dinner there). Our room was lovely, very clean, queen bed was comfortable (excellent sleep quality). Housekeeping ladies were friendly, polite and discreet, as were all staff members we got in contact with. Breakfast buffet was welcoming every morning : choices for every taste, nice little crêpes and fresh orange juice can be squizzed, loved it ! I can fairly recommend this hotel which is strategically located in the heart of the town. Just park your car and walk !

Dear guests, I have graduated from Georgetown University and have traveled the world. My family and I have stayed in Reims at Hotel de la Paix to attend my niece who has cancer at the hospital. I must admit most of the staff was very kind specially Vincent at reception and the ladies at the bar. However, the manager/owner has been exceptionally rude and abhorrent, confronting us verbally on several occasions. We have paid huge invoices here and have always been clients to 5 star hotels in the world, and yet instead of being treated like good clients, the manager asked us on a very agressive tone "WHEN WILL BE LEAVING HER HOTEL", basically throwing us out in front of a 6 years old cancer patient! We are a family from North Africa and I must admit we never had experienced RACISM nor treated with such disrespect and hate before our experience at Hotel de la Paix in Reims. We are shocked and hurt by how the manager of this hotel treated us in very difficult times for our family. Racial discrimination in Hospitality should not exist! And if this woman is not inclusive in 2023, then she shouldn't run a hotel. Thank you for reading.

We went there from Paris to go Champagne tasting. This hotel was by far the best we stayed at on our trip. Service was great and the rooms were amazing. The have a bar and restaurant. We went to the bar in the afternoon for tea and at night for a glass of wine. It was in the winter, but many people were enjoying pool. This is in a great location to the old town with many stores, restaurants, and attractions.

We were here over the winter holidays and it was a wonderful experience! The room was much larger than I expected and very modern, with a fantastic view over the historic city. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was impressive.

This was our second stay and it didn't feel as good. The bathrooms on floor 6 weren't as nice as the bathrooms we had before ( can't remember which floor we were on before) the staff were ok but certainly didn't go out of their way to help and the food in the restaurant wasn't good ( though our waiter was really lovely) Would we stay again ? Yes we would, as the hotel is situated just off the motorway in such an accessible part of Rheims and we would love to turn it into a break when the christmas market is on next time ( from a distance the christmas marked looked fabulous) The breakfast wasn't good and I think this might have been because the hotel was full but is that any excuse? Not really

First time in Reims. Front desk staff was so helpful with me in suggesting things to see and do, marked out on a map for me. Arranged taxis. Stored my luggage. As a solo traveler, felt safe and well cared for.

Wonderful hotel, with fabulous staff, excellent breakfast and fabulous rooms in the absolute centre of Reims. Our room was large with huge bath and separate walk in shower. We had a table and chairs and separate sofa and huge bed. We directly looked over tge pedestrian zone

All the components for a good one day stop are here. Clean. Central. Knowledgeable, English-speaking staff, ready with complete information about the area. No scrimping on amenities. Checkin handled efficiently. Good value for money.

Friendly, helpful and hospitable staff. They know how to make you feel welcome and at home! always ready to help in any way they can, tips and advice. I was particularly exhausted one evening and only wanted a good onion soup, they called restaurants around asked and made sure their soup was gratin as should be before suggesting me the place to go. that was customer care at its best !

After staying in multiple 5 star hotels around the world, the Best western La Paix is near the top of the list. The staff were welcoming and attentive as well as offering a free upgrade upon arrival at hotel, we could not have asked for a better welcome. The hotel itself is beautiful, with clean rooms and brilliant amenities, the entire grounds are faultless. We also visited the La Paix restaurant within the hotel and was amazed with the quality and freshness of the food. The location is perfect, being right on the doorstep of central Reims without being too busy. Overall if we ever return to Reims, there is no doubt we will be returning to this hotel. Well done to all of the staff at La Paix.

Arrived on a Saturday when the road outside is closed to traffic with a drop bollard which is lowered with an access code. I reserved a parking space when booking the hotel and the hotel kindly advised me prior to our stay to ring reception upon arrival. This we did and were kindly advised of the code and told that the garage can be accessed on the right. I had stopped a car length short of the bollard whilst I rang the hotel to avoid holding up any other traffic and was about to pull up to the barrier key pad when a car from Luxembourg swerved in front of me and parked in front of the drop bollard. Well I waited for a while in case they had the code but after they did not move I got out and tapped on their window and asked what they were doing swerving in front of me as I was ready with the code. The young woman in the front seat just pointed to her phone so I returned to the car. Well again I waited a short while and suddenly their reversing lights came on so I moved back. They reversed back from the bollard at an angle blocking my path and the young lady jumped out approaching my car telling me that she did not appreciate me tapping on the window and that “I did not represent myself very good”. We just repeated that they should not have pushed in and told her to go away politely I might add. I think the motto of this story is, if you don't reserve a parking space at this hotel, don't try and jump the queue for the bollard as you might be turned away, upset those about to use the access and you will likely have to use the public car park across the road which they had too. Anyway once we got into the underground parking garage all was OK, although with a mid size SUV the spaces are pretty tight due to the number of support columns between bays. There was obviously a motor club booked into the hotel that night as a whole floor of the car park was coned off and a large number of sports and collectors cars pulled into the hotel. Elevator straight up to reception where we received a nice welcome and very detailed explanation of all the facilities. Our room was on the 3rd floor in block B facing out onto Rue Buirette. Room was nice and modern with well maintained finishes and everything you could want, including Safety Deposit Box, Mini bar, kettle, iron and ironing board, large flat screen TV, good AC etc. The bed was slightly on the hard side for our liking but was the only thing we could fault really. Bathroom was nicely finished with shower over the bath with good water pressure and instantly came through hot. Towels nice and big and soft. Went to the bar on a couple of occasions and found it very quiet, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Bar prices were reasonable for a hotel of this type and the quality of the surroundings. Cannot comment on the breakfast or restaurant as we did not use them. When we checked in we were told that the restaurant was fully booked so thought breakfast would be busy so we ate out for both. For its location and the facilities provided together with the overall finishes in the hotel we thought it was good value for a BW Premier. Probably one of the best Best Western hotels we have stayed in.

We were on a self drive tour of wine regions in an electric Nissan Leaf. This hotel was a perfect first stop for two nights with plenty of electric charge points in the basement car park. Reims is a lovely city and everything that we wanted including restaurants and wine caves was within easy walking distance.

We stayed in 2 interconnecting rooms (teenagers and parents) for 2 nights. Loved the location for being close to walking around all of Reims. We didn't use the swimming pool, it was busy in the afternoons (when we were free). We couldn't get our car in the underground parking due to our roof box, but we found parking nearby (the hotel offered to remove the roof box for us, but due to an early departure we didn't want that). We mainly enjoyed the breakfast offering, but there was only some sad looking stale bread as the gluten free option. All in all a great hotel with good facilities, no noise in the rooms at night and helpful reception staff.

We stayed here for one night before heading down through France to Italy. What an excellent hotel to start off our journey. Very well situated to explore Reims and great bar area and courtyard. The staff were lovely, thanks to Kevin who gave us two free glasses of champagne when our room wasn't ready. Great customer service. The room on a higher level was lovely, well decorated, with a small balcony with views of the cathedral. Good sized bathroom with good lighting, always a bonus. Breakfast had good choices and was refreshed regularly. More gluten free choices would have been good, The underground parking was great for the centre of a city, Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we visit Reims.

We wanted to explore Champagne for just a few days so booked here our large room overlooking the courtyard was delightful, the location great and the summer weather perfect. Over our three weeks in Europe we decided this was our favourite hotel.

We have only positive things to say about our one-night stay at Best Western Hotel de la Paix. The location is right in the very center of Reims, 50 meters from the pedestrian area. We used the hotel's underground car park (15€) which offered easy access to the reception. The welcome was professional and friendly, and our check-in took less than a minute. Quintin at the front desk recommended Excelsior Brasserie for our dinner – a perfect recommendation. The room was excellent, the beds very comfortable, the breakfast delicious – and all around we were surrounded by helpful, smiling members of the staff. Indeed, Hotel de la Paix is a hotel to revisit.

Close to the Cathedral and pedestrianised streets with all the restaurants and cafes. Front desk service was really helpful; they have an underground carpark; there is a delightful courtyard which provides an oasis of calm - where breakfast is served; our room was elegant, spacious and comfortable. What more do you want?

Spacious room with all the necessary equipment, a beautiful bathroom, impeccable cleaning in the rooms but also throughout the hotel, the breakfast was excellent, both savory and sweet, we now recommend this hotel to all our friends who go to reims

Lovely hotel. Central location. It's cheaper to park in the car park opposite than in the hotel garage. Check your bill before leaving, as we had 2 mistakes on ours. These were rectified when we queried them.

We stayed here for one night in two rooms, breaking the drive home to the UK from Lake Como. After 10 hours on the road, it was rather lovely, and not because anywhere would have been lovely after 10 hours! We were on the sixth floor, with both rooms being a great size, ours having a view over the rooftops towards the cathedral. Air conditioning working perfectly without loads of noise, super comfy beds and a bathroom with separate bath and shower, and then the toilet behind a dividing door. We parked in the hotel car park which is underneath the hotel, with a hotel employee helping to park the cars once you're down the ramp. To get in you stop at the bollard and ring the hotel who provide a code to type in to take the bollard down. We booked our space in advance which I'd recommend though if you forget there is a public multi-storey car park just opposite. We ate dinner and breakfast in town not at the hotel so can't comment on the food. Super short walk to centre restaurants, 5-10 mins, with the cathedral just a few minutes further in. All staff were very welcoming and it was a pleasure to stay there. We would definitely re-book if needing a stop over again on our European drives.

We have stayed several times, and this hotel works so well for us. Make sure to reserve parking, as it is limited. The road system has changed since our last visit, and there are weekend bollard restrictions, so ask the hotel for the code. The check in/reception desk here is without doubt one of the most efficient we have experienced anywhere in the world! This visit was as smooth as always. We stayed for a week on this trip, and found the convenience and location as ideal as always. Housekeeping is excellent. We spent many happy times in the bar which is very friendly and has a nice vibe. Thoroughly recommend.

This a great hotel in a very good location in Reims. Our room was spacious and clean. The swimming pool area is rather small. I had dinner in the restaurant and drinks at the bar. Both very good. Parked our car in the parking garage, very convenient underneath the hotel. Very good service.

Great hotel in the perfect location very central, walked to all the main champagne houses. Pre book parking or there is a car park across the road. Rooms are clean and comfortable and quiet at night, buffet breakfast is great. Fantastic hotel highly recommend for the price and location.

Stayed here many times over last 10 years and remains excellent choice for stop over or short stay in Reims. Great central location, secure parking and the deluxe rooms are good value. Hotel has had refurb in last couple years and restaurant and bar very nice.

Returning to Reims after 25 yrs as part of a motorbike tour of France and stayed here for our final night. Good secure underground parking. Reception staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. Our room was located on the 8th floor with views of the city. It was spacious, great air con and very good facilities. The bar area and terrace were very relaxing. We had a wonderful group dinner served by a great waitress who helped us with our very rusty french translations. She was very professional but also joined in with banter and fun. Good location to explore the city and right beside many cafes and bars near the fountain. Would highly recommend this hotel and hope to use it again on tour.

Very good located at the city center. The room was specious and with a nice terrasse. It was clean but not very well maintened. The staff was friendly and the check in and out went fast. It wasnt something special but was a good average. The parking in the hotel was a plus.

A very good hotel with everything you need for a good stay. Room was excellent and nicely furnished. Clean and the amenities were just what I needed. Bed was comfortable and bathroom really good. Stayed 2 nights.

Family couples trip - we had 2 rooms on 5th Floor with view towards the coutyard and cathedral. Good size rooms with big bathroom and a balcony. Highly recommend the breakfast - used the restuarant one evening was busy but good service. Hotel is a good laocation to explore the City and Champagne area.

Stayed for two nights for our vacation in Champange. The family room we had was spacious (two separate rooms, like a suite). Staff were very friendly and helpful - committed to get the room ready for us on time, helped on laundry and postal needs. Breakfast was decent. We reserved the parking lot in their garage. The access code to enter the street was sent to my phone two hours before my arrival. Very smooth to get the car parked.

A mix up in reservations was resolved and we were well taken care of by the front desk. It was very hot the week we were in Reims and the room was very comfortable despite the heat. Breakfast was included and it was very nice. Clean comfortable rooms and centrally located

The best location, the cutest room and excellent staff. Overall the perfect choice gor our stay in Reims. Has also a very nice pool and sauna. Recommend it to anyone visiting Reims. The balconies off the room were the cutest, a one person balcony and great views. Parking is available underneath the hotel, there is nice shopping and restaurants all atound hotel.

We've stayed at a lot of exceptional hotels over our travels, but the one stands out as the best one ever. Literally. To be sure, the hotel is beautiful, with lovely rooms that are clean, spacious, and comfortable. There's also the ample indoor and outdoor spaces where you can relax and grab a drink—that's not to be missed. There's also a truly wonderful restaurant connected to it that you should definitely try when you're there. But what makes this hotel stand out from all the rest was the staff, particularly the manager of the hotel. He was kind, welcoming, and accommodating in a way that's hard to describe—he went above and beyond in his thoughtfulness and sensitivity to us. A case in point: For our last night in Reims (after returning from Epernay), the travel company we used had made an error and hadn't booked us at that hotel on that particular night as they were supposed to have done (i.e., we didn't actually have a reservation but didn't know that walking back into the hotel), the manager acted like everything was fine and gave us our room. Then behind the scenes, he personally looked into the matter, informed us what had actually happened the next day, and offered to make a phone call on our behalf. We've never experienced that level of customer service, and want to thank him personally for everything he did and an amazing stay. This is our hotel of choice in Reims from now on!

Very nice, very professional. We travel with kids so we had a suite with separate bedroom for the Gremlins. Excellent. Also good restaurant in the hotel, no actual need to eat at the tourist traps in the city centre. Parking under the hotel, pool in the hotel. Very professional and friendly staff.

We took a train from Paris to Reims and was very pleased that the hotel was close to the train station, probably .4 of a mile. The hotel was also close to the fantastic farmer's market and the spectacular Basiica of Notre Dame. The person at reception was very personable and helpful to orientate us to the city. Our room was very modern, spacious and had very comfortable beds. Breakfast was complimentary. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff was very friendly and forthcoming. The location is excellent in the heart of Reims. The room was clean and well equipped. Would definitely stay here again. We didn't use the breakfast or pool. Not sure what to say further in order to reach the 200 characters

Excellent service , we booked 3 rooms but we gave a wrong date of arrival (21 instead of 20 ) anyway they were able to arrange quickly rooms for us. Hotel right in the center of reims close to cathedral an shops .

Amazing hotel kept in very good condition! Bedrooms are very well equipped and superb clean! Staff are very friendly and cocktails are amazing. Breakfast was delicious. We stayed for business and we could not fault it at all! Hotel provided every you need!

Excellent location. Easy secure on sight basement parking. Very clean bijoux room. Lovely inner garden for a late night drink.rooms had electric blinds so very dark and quiet at night which was Amazing considering the central location. The only picky bit was staying two night ( with no reduction) we got soap and water on the first night and not the second. Had to remind the front desk that our room needed cleaning the second day . In fairness front desk were superb.

We have stayed here many times in the past and have always found it an exceptional place to stay. The location is perfect for the centre and for all the restaurants and bars. The staff are unfailingly helpful and pleasant and will always go the extra mile. The person who wrote the bad revue must have been reviewing a different hotel, we have always had clean rooms and bathrooms and have never had reason to complain. We look forward to our next visit, now that we are travelling again.

Perfect location, check in process very efficient, the room was large, comfortable with modern design and well equipped, service and food at the Brasserie was excellent with very welcoming service staff, very reasonnable pricing in all food and beverage outlets, the breakfast is great with lots of variety, thanks for a fantastic stay and we will be back soon

This hotel has a great location, right in the heart of the pedestrian zone of Reims. The rooms were large and comfortable, also very clean. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job. The breakfast buffet is large with lots of variety but does not have an omlette station nor can you order eggs to order, or waffles or pancakes.

Perfectly located, excellent efficient service, reasonable bar prices, nice big rooms and a generally buzzy atmosphere. The shower was a true power shower in a huge cubicle and the bathroom had quality products. Our only really gripe was that the beds were really quite hard for our liking. The restaurant was worth a visit for the seafood platters which were very special.

We had a wonderful stay in this Best Western hotel in the heart of Reims. It was an excellent hotel which was clean, quiet and comfortable. The service was superb and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was fabulous right in the middle of the city and near to the cathedral. We would not hesitate to come again.

Currently checking out from this hotel. I've complained twice in 2 days about the hygiene of my room - not clean at all and the staff said they would sort it out. They didn't. The same member of staff asked me how my stay was when I left... I reminded him that I'd complained and he just looked blank. Didn't explain what he'd done, or his colleague who I had also complained to. There were pubic hairs on the walls of the shower, dust and scum all over the coffee unit and sides. Sheets stained with god knows what. There were also four flies in our room when we arrived, despite no windows being open, which was pretty horrible. Given we're post-Covid, I'd assume this hotel would be much more concerned. Definitely not 4 star. Never replaced our coffees etc in the room. Just awful. Restaurant and bar are nice, although bar feels like a nightclub. Don't stay here.

Have stayed here twice. Lovely. Ideal location, great value, kind and helpful staff. Very nice rooms and breakfast. Walkable to train station and everything you want to see in Reims - cathedral, palais, etc. Staff will help you book champagne house visits.

I was waiting to come back to this lovely hotel as our frequent visits to France were interrupted by Covid and travel restrictions. The hotel management used the quarantene time to renovate and upgrade the hotel, redecorate and make it even cosier. It is a pity that restaurant prices increased considerably in the last almost three years. The staff is very attentive and caring. It feels like you are being met by old friends. And when they remember our names and things we like adds a personal touch to each visit. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning hotel in the centre. The rooms are truly amazing. The staff are outstanding. They are friendly, welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We are going to return even if we have to do a detour because the hotel is simply that good.

Excellent size of room and bathroom, extremely tidy and comfortable. The hotel is very well located and near by the main attractions of Reims, in particular the Cathedral. The staff is very caring of the guests. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a great variety of items.

We were a family of 13 travelling in 3 cars. We parked in the underground garage which was very convenient and easy to access. We only stayed 1 night as it was a stopover on a long journey but all of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and efficient. Check-in was smooth and all of the rooms were prepared for us with additional beds made for the children. We visited the bar in the afternoon & were served by a super efficient and very friendly member of staff in the bar, she made us feel very welcome. We tried to make a dinner reservation in the hotel but there was no availability which is understandable as it was a Saturday night & we were a big party, but there were lots of restaurants immediately outside the hotel. The location is brilliant with everything on your doorstep so you can do a little shopping, go back for a rest and then go out again! After eating out, we visited the bar again at the end of the evening where again, service was brilliant and unusually for a hotel, the ambience and atmosphere in the bar was great, it was really buzzing. In the morning checkout was again, smooth and staff efficient and helpful. This hotel really knows hospitality and the staff are a credit to the management. Thank you for the nice stay.

Great location, amazing staff, very good breakfast. Simply loved it! Will come back for sure. Highly recommend this hotel. It's been quite some time I don't enjoy a stay this much. This hotel is great for families with kids.

Very central location, and a nice aesthetically pleasing property. Our room was quite nice, with a street view. The front desk staff was kind, and allowed a late checkout with no issues. However, the shower smelled like pure sewage. This scent eventually found its way throughout the entire room. Thankfully, opening the window helped alleviate the odor.

A truly outstanding hotel. The staff are extremely attentive, well-versed in English, and very helpful: from ensuring that we had a parking spot to helping us obtain a Pass Sanitaire. Moreover, the location is absolutely unbeatable. The Christmas market was just a short walk away and the hotel is just steps away from a plethora of shops and restaurants. The main train station is conveniently located around the corner as well. The hotel itself is very well-appointed, modern and the room we were given was extremely comfortable for a family of three and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. There was a generous amount of choices for breakfast too!

Comfortable in every way. In the heart of Reims. Rooms furnished in contemporary style and shower was great. Bed and bedding comfortable. Our room had a bank of windows overlooking a main area. Curtains were effective for light control and room was quiet. View of holiday lights was lovely.

Great location, nice rooms, good breakfast spread, and friendly staff. Can't go wrong with this hotel. I like that this hotel is the traditional European style where you need a key card to activate the lights - very energy efficient. The breakfast spread was good as well and they take security seriously there - I was going to have my colleague drop off his luggage in my room the morning of checkout while we walked around the city waiting for a pharmacy to open for a COVID test and they immediately stopped him and offered to keep his luggage in the luggage room - likely worried about random people entering the hotel, etc. The level of attentiveness and attention to security was appreciated.

We had a beautiful room on the 6th floor (it was next to the lift, but still very quiet). The whole hotel was very well kept and we loved their green credentials. When I booked I saw that the hotel had parking so I was not happy when the receptionist said I should have booked parking and I would just have to drive around until I found parking - A very unhelpful attitude. Fortunately the concierge came to our rescue and found a parking place for us - thank you! A real hero after a long drive. The hotel is in a brilliant location right in the middle of the city and ten minutes stroll from the cathedral. We did not use the restaurant or the bar, but did notice that the bar had a really buzzy feel. The breakfast was excellent, as you would expect at the price, but the breakfast room was very small and was packed so social distancing could not take place - it felt very uncomfortable. Sadly because we were overnighting we did not get to sample the pool and wellness centre.

One of the best hotels I have visited in France. The bedrooms are large and bright with very high quality furnishings. The decoration is very tasteful. impeccable service and the super good breakfast with a lot of products. I would come back if I can.

Nice and chique hotel in the hart of beautiful Reims. All facilities are included (Parking, restaurants, bar, swimming pool). Ideal hub for a city trip. And jsut 250 away from the main boulevard filled with restaurants and bars. A perfect stay for a perfect city

I was hesitant at first as 'Best Western' usually stands for a lower tier/budget hotel experience in the US. However this was a true elevated stay in a brand new, well decorated/laid-out hotel. Great amenities, breakfast was five stars, rooms are small but with sleek, modern and smart design. Soundproof windows and comfortable bed made for deep sleep, after lots of champagne drinking, Every corner of the room served a purpose. Would definitely come back to stay here. Only drawback is the tiny, poorly equipped gym. However there is a sauna and pool. You wont be disappointed here.

I typically spend 75+ nights per year on the road at a mixture of business-class hotels. I will definitely return to the Best Western de la Paix! We booked a Deluxe room for my wife and I, and a Classic room for our daughter. Both rooms were beautiful, quiet, and of a high quality. The Classic room was the typical size for a hotel room in France (i.e. small), while the Deluxe room was actually quite a bit larger than a typical American hotel room. Our room had a beautiful view of the courtyard, it was very well sound-proofed (we heard no noises), the bed was comfortable, and the WiFi and everything else worked flawlessly. We also very much appreciated the helpfulness, friendliness, and competence of the hotel staff. Many of the staff were fun people to talk to, and all of our requests were handled in ways that made it obvious this staff really likes to help their guests. The food in the restaurant was delicious and well prepared. This hotel is also located just steps from one of the main plazas in Reims with tons of restaurants and beautiful fountains, and it is about a 10-minute walk to the Notre Dame-Reims Cathedral (which is truly amazing).

Excellent hotel in the centre of town. The hotel has architectural features as it combines the ancient/traditional with modern renovated facilities. Minimalist contemporary rooms which are super clean. Friendly service in beautiful surroundings. Trendy bar in magnificent landscaped courtyard with views on the old chapel of the hotel.

Absolutely loved this hotel. It is an outstanding value for how nice it is. Our room was luxurious, with beautiful lighting, lovely decor, very comfortable beds and bedding, big bathroom, plenty of space for two people. Immaculately clean and great housekeeping every day. There were even robes and slippers! Location is perfect for enjoying the city. Outstanding value for the money. Thank you to the staff here for being so attentive and making our stay in Reims so enjoyable...we will be back!

We stayed 3 nights in the hotel which is right in the center of Reims. It's extremely clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were all very helpful. We enjoyed the pool, outside sun lounger area and the sauna. Only downside was the breakfast. Was €17pp and was continental with some lukewarm scrambled eggs, bacon & sausages. The choice of continental items wasn't that large. We decided to do breakfast outside the hotel after that. But overall a really great hotel which we would recommend to stay in when in Reims

This is a good practical option in Reims. Parking on site, well located for restaurants, shopping & champagne tasting. Reception staff were helpful & made us feel welcome. Our room was fine. Breakfast was a bit of a zoo. The buffet was ok but it was busy.

I like to come to this hotel for its very convenient location in Reims, spacious and bright room, very clean hotel, the room staff are helpful and professional, they agreed to clean my room at the time I wanted because I like to work in a clean room, quality breakfast, modern decoration, highly respected barrier gestures to feel completely safe

We really liked this hotel. The location is very good. We booked a privilege room which I believe is a little bit bigger than the standard. We had a large bed and a small sitting area. The bathroom was large with a shower and washbasin. There is a seperate toilet. The staff is very friendly, in reception and in the bar. We had drinks on the patio on several nights before or after dinner in Reims. We did not use the pool. The parking was good and easy to use. We rented bikes one day and cycled through the vineyards which was lovely. Reims is a nice town with lots of restaurants and bars. We especially enjoyed winebar Le Coq Rouge for wine and food.

Although a chain, this hotel really makes a good impression, even in Covid times. Top service and nice comfortable rooms. They are cleaned really well during this period, so can only presume this is the case throughout. The gym area is limited but could be due to covid. Pool is small but cute and nice outdoor area to relax in, even if next to the cafe. Parking at very reasonable prices right opposite the hotel and literally 2 min walk to the centre. Conclusion: highly recommended and excellent prices. Wholeheartedly happy to come back

Lovely hotel in the centre of town. Room was spacious and clean and lots of room for a family of 3. Staff were excellent- friendly and helpful. Lovely to sit out at the lounge at the back of the hotel. Right on the centre so many cafes nearby. Felt very Covid safe. Everyone wore masks and gel everywhere. We would return. Highly recommend

We have returned to this hotel many times, which we consider the best Best Western property in France. For Americans, you will receive American style hospitality and service. We have been impressed each time with Vincent and his outstanding service. On this trip he and Manone graciously went above and beyond to help us get needed medications which our doctor prescribes, but after hours...we so appreciate this wonderful team!

We were pleasantly surprised by this lovely hotel. Staying for two nights en route to the South of France, it is perfectly placed for the bustling hub of restaurants and bars in the centre. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, as were the restaurant staff at breakfast. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with lots of choice for everyone. The room was spacious with a fridge and a kettle provided (but no cups or supplies). We would not hesitate to is it again, if in the area.

Absolutely superb Hotel in an excellent location. We have been visiting Reims for the last 4 years to celebrate my wifes birthday and we have always stayed at this hotel. The main reason is The staff have always accommodated our request which is really excellent service and we really appreciate that we have been acknowledged. The Hotel has excellent facilities and is immaculately clean and excellent service the staff are always professional, helpful and friendly and speak good English. The rooms are tastefully decorated with a lovely comfortable bed and immaculately clean. There is a lovely pool area and courtyard. It is located centrally in Reims with secure underground parking. There are plenty of restaurants within the centre and you can walk to most of the cities attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel and cannot imagine staying anywhere else when we next visit. Thank you for making our stay memorable and relaxing, as always.

The hotel is perfectly placed to walk around the city with everything close by. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms are modern and have all you want. A good underground car park is payable but worth it.

Very clean hotel in a super location. We stayed for 4 nights. Had a room on floor 7, lifts are a bit slow so patience is required. Check in was v efficient and exceptionally friendly. Everyone wore masks. The leisure centre isn't open due to Covid 19, but there's a lovely outdoor terrace at the back. Check out wasn't as friendly. The receptionist insisted we had booked parking in their garage for two nights, we hadn't. (I had already informed the receptionist at check-in that we hadn't booked parking). Receptionist was fairly hostile and insisted but I persevered. Overall, we would definitely stay there again as all other staff members were hospitable and welcoming.

Very centrally located medium size hotel with a great courtyard. The bar area has a happy hour and a luscious champagne selection. Rooms are pretty big, there's a divider wall between common sitting area and bedroom. The bathroom is a little small and could use an update, though I did like the separate vanity area. The restaurant on the ground floor is one of the better restaurants on the strip with a large seafood selection and beautiful decor.

The hotel's location is great, central Reims. The room was large and very convenient, the view was amazing, and the staff was nice and helpful. I had a really great stay, will come back again with my partner. The only thing that wasn't great was breakfast, but you Reims offers such great coffee places nearby, that I just skipped breakfast at the hotel.

The hotel is very centrally located but can be easily reached by car. They have their own parking, however when full there's a garage just across the street. Rooms overlooking the Place Drouet d'Erlon are nice, this is a pedestrian street.

We've stayed in this fabulous hotel in central Reims many times. They are updating constantly and we had a seventh floor It offers an underground secure car park at €14. The room had a coffee maker, robes, slippers, English satellite tv, complimentary water. The décor and lighting was fabulous and the bathroom with the walk-in shower was spotless and very modern. The breakfast is a hefty €17 euros a head We arrived at 8.30am and most tables had not been cleared and remained this way with just one person clearing very slowly Coffee was in an urn - most unusual for a hotel of this calibre, the scrambled eggs were cold, the sausages were hard. Such a shame particularly as many lesser hotels have succeeded where this hotel has failed.

Excellent price - quality ratio. Rooms spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast staff somewhat curt but this may have had to do with a language barrier rather than ill will. Front desk staff extremely helpful and courteous.

The hotel is centrally located. There is no parking facility but public parking is available opposite the hotel. The room is modern and relatively spacious. The double bed is bigger than the other hotels we stayed in France. There is a small table for writing. There are USB charging ports beside the bed which is good. The hotel has a swimming pool and a gym. There are not enough elevators and the wait can be long.

We really enjoyed our stay at this particular Best Western. The staff were polite and the rooms were clean, comfortable & modern. I accidentally booked for 1 person and it was no issues to add my husband which was a relief. They also leant us a travel adaptor after I broke mine which was very kind. Finally they also allowed a generous late checkout which was greatly appreciated as there was a strike and our train was therefore delayed until 5pm that evening. The added bath robes was also a nice touch.

We had a room booked by mistakes with 2 single beds so we have paid a little extra to get an upgrade and had the suite therefor I can't say much about the normal rooms. Our Suite was incredible and had a lot of space, a nice terrace, very comfy bed and was super clean! The breakfast the next morning was also tasty and had everything to offer. The checkin and out was smooth, quick and friendly! The garage is a little tricky for big cars or like in our case a sports car. It is walking distance to great bars and restaurants. The Hotel bar is also very nice and good for a drink BUT NOT cheap!

Great location, good sized rooms( king beds), nice bar, very nice breakfast buffet and very nice (english speaking) staff, especially the front desk people! A very clean hotel, centrally located to probably 50 restaurants in walking distance. Period exterior, but more modern interior and rooms.

Very smart room, with delightful view. A larger hotel than I'd normally choose, but the safe parking and swimming pool won me over. Suffering from cold/flu, I was charmed by the helpful concierge, who found a doctor not too far away. Even without that, I would return just for the knowledge that my car was tucked away in the basement, and the use of the dinky swimming pool - it looks as though the glass doors on one wall might open in warm weather, giving the best of both worlds. But thank you, Mr. Concierge.

I couldn't fault the hotel from the room and facilities to the service and the food. The location is excellent for a weekend break with so much in short walking distance from restaurants to the Cathedral and from the Champagne houses to the shops (and older town). The room had everything we wanted and small details like coffee pods being replenished every day were nice small touches. A choice of cups / mugs for hot drinks and glasses for soft drinks were useful and complimentary bottled water on two of the three days was nice. Beds were very comfortable. A separate WC away from the shower and wash basin added a degree of privacy. Breakfasts were a little limited in range for such a good hotel, but everything was of very good quality and replenished continually. The hotel restaurant itself was excellent (see separate review). Any negatives? Our friends found the front rooms of the hotel a little noisy in the early hours (e.g. street cleaning) so ask for a room at the rear (and the higher the better for a view of the Cathedral). The bar was very, very popular and as a result service was often slow.

I spent a week in this hotel, while in Reims for study. It's brilliantly located, right in the centre of town, with good sized rooms and great bathrooms. The staff seemed helpful enough, although one or two of my study colleagues had less than satisfactory exchanges re the air conditioning in their rooms. The breakfast is great, with a generous selection. My room was at the front of the hotel, and I was glad to have windows that opened. Unfortunately, the locals are a boisterous lot and every night it was far too noisy to leave my window open at night.

The first room that we were shown was very small with a modest sized double bed. The reception desk quickly changed us to a larger room with a decent sized bed that cost me a further €30. Some tiresome problems with the cleanliness and the modern shower needs patience and skill or it floods the bathroom. Breakfast was all right though in a room that could have been found on a cheap cruise ship.

We booked the cheapest room available as we were there only for one night. The room was small but well equiped. It even had a small couch to sit on. The location of the hotel is good.The city was easily explored by foot. For your car it had a parking garage or in the street there is a bigger public parking garage. Staff was very friendly.

This lovely hotel ticked all of our boxes - an easy walk from the train station, convenient to the places we wanted to see, comfortable room, and a good breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was bountiful and well-organized. Would definitely stay here again.

I cannot say enough about the service at this hotel. I flew to Reims to assist a family member who had had an accident. I required assistance finding doctors, therapists, etc. while I was there. It was very difficult not speaking the language well. The staff at reception went out of their way to assist. I must give a special shoutout to Vincent at reception who helped me with many phone calls, writing notes of introduction and for making me feel like he truly cared. I can't thank him enough, he provided the best service I have ever experienced at a hotel. The hotel is the best location, right in the heart of Reims. The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable. We ate at the hotel restaurant twice which was very good but Vincent also had some great recommendations for other restaurants in town. Le Crypto, nearby, was perhaps the best meal I had on what ended up being a 6-week trip in Italy and France. I highly recommend the hotel but book ahead, they are busy!!

I must admit to being a bit skeptical when we booked this hotel but we both loved it! Extremely helpful front desk, they even called the car rental agency and made arrangements for us! Thank you! The hotel is located in the center of cafes and sightseeing but is very modern,comfortable and quiet. Walk to the cathedral or to the train station . We did not use their food facilities but chose to walk yo nearby bakeries and bistros. Excellent choice in Reims!

I went for 1 night in this hotel, it is in the city centre, a few minutes walk from cathedral. A parking place is just in front of the hotel. The staff is kindly and the place is modern. We booked a deluxe room, was perfect and quiet...standard wasn't available.

This hotel was very convenient to the train station, just a few blocks of walking. The room was quite large with a fridge and expresso maker. The spa was lovely with a sauna, steam room and pool. The breakfast was delicious as well!

We are a group of 11 people that chosed this hotel for a four days conference. Everything worked out good. We also had lunch in the hotel restaurant which was very nice with good food and service. Rooms are nice and clean. Beds very good.

Wes stopped over for one night in Reims and we did not regret. Hotel is perfectly located in the city center of Reims and has a big underground parking. Once we arrived, the check-in was fast and we felt welcome. The room was ready and our superior room located at the 9th and last floor was great. We enjoyed a nice roof top view over Reims and all was very clean and perfect. We spent a quite and relax night and in the morning we experienced a good breakfast. All on one, a very good hotel to recommend in Reims. Excellent value for money!

Really this hotel has all that is needed - great location in walking distance of all attractions, great parking!, superior rooms are way above expectations, very good front staff but let down by disgraceful bar staff. To be honest versus say the Novotel a few miles away I would always pick the BW. Its quality for a very reasonable price.

Solid hotel stay - comfortable, clean, convenient, good value, great location. (Good for people looking for an American-style stay too. Definitely much nicer than many of our Best Westerns) Close to great restaurants, convenient for champagne tour pickups. Walking distance from the train.

Stayed for three nights Wednesday through to Saturday in a twin room. Modern and light room, comfortable bed and pillows, robes and slippers, powerful shower, USB ports, iron and board, kettle and a coffee machine. Pool is a nice touch. Didn't try the restaurant or breakfast but the bar has a fantastic choice of drinks. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. And the location is perfect - up to 10 mins walk from restaurants, less than 10 minutes to the station, 30 minute walk to the cluster of big name champagne houses. There is nothing not to like.

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night. It was a day trip from our vacation in Paris to visit a few of the champagne houses. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms very large and the service was extremely helpful and friendly. We were disappointed to only be there 1 night! Strongly recommend.

We stayed here for one night with our kids in an interconnecting room. It was an excellent stop en route back to the UK. Firstly the hotel is very easy to find with a parking garage underground (access via an intercom and reserve in advance). The rooms were really lovely, clean and comfortable with great bathrooms. The hotel has a nice bar and lounge area with an outside courtyard where we enjoyed a drink. Breakfast was very good indeed. The hotel is well situated for a wander around the city and there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby.

We stayed here for 2 Nights with our 2 children in a family room. It was very nice and clean and in a good location. Breakfast was adequate. There is a lovely bar and also a really nice courtyard for outside space. We ate at their restaurant for dinner and it was superb ! We would recommend this hotel and would return ! The hotel is very good and the location is great. The room is very dark, with good soundproofing, the mattress I found a bit soft for my taste, but nothing that compromises a good night's sleep. The only problem I had was with the air conditioner. It was set with a timer and in the middle of the night I woke up because the room was warm. The next day I changed the confirmation and the problem was solved. I don't know if setting a timer on the air conditioner is a standard hotel procedure or it was made by some other previous guest. The breakfast is very good with varied options. Regarding the restaurant, the food is good with very reasonable price for the city. The staff are very friendly and helpful, speak fluent english.

We found this hotel perfect for a visit to Reims, centrally located and parking,from the moment we arrived we were made welcome and found all the staff very helpfull.The bar area is very lively and a great place for a drink.The bedroom was large airy clean and comfortable.We would recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is very good - easy to access by car, but still in the centre of the city. Only a few minutes walk from a lot of restaurants and bars and shops. Our room was quite small, but it was ok. The bed was good, and the bathroom was fine. Parking is possible in their underground garage. I recommend that to write the hotel upfront and reserve a space for your car to be sure. The parking slots are not big, but most cars would manage to fit. The guys in the reception was friendly. Except an asian looking woman, which we rented bicycles from. She asked us to sign a form, where everything was in french! You would expect them to have these in English - we didn't, but asked if she could maybe translate what we were signing. She refused to do that! That's not good service. But beside that, we had a good time at the hotel. (we also tried the indoor pool, but that was nothing special, so do not choose this hotel because of the pool).

We loved our short one night stay at the Best Western in Reims. The hotel is very modern and our room on the 6th floor was tastefully decorated, trendy and comfortable. I loved the toiletries which smelled lovely and the coffee machine made a very good coffee in the morning. WiFi in the room was also good. We were able to park in the car park across the road and we got a small discount from reception which was a nice touch. Staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The location was perfect, being in the thick of shopping, restaurants and some tourists sites. We would definitely return!

Great communication through Booking.com prior to our honeymoon stay, car parking was fully arranged making check in very easy. When we went to our fabulous room we found champagne waiting for us, a really lovely and thoughtful touch, thank you

We stayed for two nights in August. The hotel is very well situated, in the heart of the city , and within walking distance of many of the sights, including the cathedral. It is also within walking distance of the station, and has its own car park for those driving to the city.The rooms are modern and comfortable, and the hotel has good facilities including a swimming pool. All staff were very friendly and helpful and our stay was therefore very relaxing. If we return to Reims we will return to this hotel.

We had a fantastic 1night stay on our drive back home after being in Italy, complete surprise friendly reception, great location, buzzy bar.We had one of the refurbished/family rooms on the 5th floor which was a joy to stay in (we can critical) . Could not fault this lovely hotel - it is in a great location for walking around Reims and visiting the sights and, of course, the champagne houses!, The rooms were great too - clean, comfortable and super shower!. The food at breakfast (buffet style) and in the restaurant (lots of choice here too) were both really good. We had a super stay and would recommend!

A ten minute flat walk from the Reims train station, the hotel is easy to find. A modern refurbished building, check in was fast & efficient. Staff were helpful & despite arriving before noon, a room was allocated to us - after a long flight & then train from Paris, this was much appteciated. The room is nicely decorated - modern, clean lines & has phone charging connectors. Bathroom is spacious & nice toiletries were provided. There is a pool & sauna/steam room. We did not have any meals in the hotel but breakfast is well patronised. Overall - a lovely stay & convenient to most attractions in Reims.

After 10 days in Paris, I stayed three nights in Reims and fully enjoyed the stay at this best western. Service at the front desk and the bar/restaurants was exceptional. The room was spotless also. Highly recommended!

The hotel was in an excellent location, right in the centre. We had one of the supposedly larger rooms, but it was still on the small side. However it was a newly renovated room, excellent bathroom, and other good facilities inc a coffee machine and iron. Great shower. Bed was a bit hard even with some extra duvet under the sheets. We had a distant view of the cathedral. It was a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was adequate. Usual 4 star food. Good reception staff. We thought it was a bit expensive for a 4 star country hotel, but it is the best in the city. Reims is lovely.

Best Western Hotel in an excellent location in Reims. Clean, spacious rooms and very friendly staff. It is possible to charge for an extra charge an electric car in the somewhat narrow underground garage.

What a hotel from a great position in the centre of the town, with under ground parking. The staff are very helpful, breakfast was super. The room very clean and tidy, can not recommend it any higher.

We stayed here three nights on our first visit to Reims and loved it! A great location near the Gare and the main pedestrian street with many many outdoor restaurants. Our best surprise was the renovated Deluxe room! Wonderful large bed, walkin shower, TV, safe and sofa. Had plenty of space for our luggage. The front desk handled all of our concierge requests promptly. Would happily stay here again.

This is the hotel we always seem to stay at when visiting Champagne. Location is great in the city of Reims where you are surrounded by restaurants and shops. Super easy and friendly town. The hotel is interesting. There seem to be multiple wings with different styles of rooms. No matter how many times I've stayed here I don't recall having the same type of room. It's fun. Facing the front of the hotel you get a nice view but there can be noise in the summertime. No issues with the room. Clean. Good AC (we were there when it was 104 degrees) as well as windows that open. Fine linens and things. The restaurant for breakfast is good. You can order espresso from the staff if their coffee doesn't do it for you.

We were fortunate to arrive early at the hotel and our room was ready. Don't let the name "Best Western" fool you - this is a classy, beautiful, well run hotel. Our visit coincided with the Women's World Cup, and our hotel was hosting the South Korean team, which we found exciting. Breakfast was included with our room and the selections were amazing. Our room was very comfortable and clean.

We have stayed at this hotel twice because of its central location. However I think either the whole hotel or some of the rooms have been refurbished since our last stay. We booked directly with the hotel and had only booked a standard room, however it was a very high standard. Fab bathroom, comfy bed and tea and coffee making facilities. The bar is very cool, nice place for a glass of champagne before heading out for the evening.

We had this hotel recommended to us. We were very lucky to have been. The hotel is charming, well appointed and clean. Free Wi-fi. Parking is underneath the hotel so very convenient. Definitely on the list to revisit.

We were organising a group of friends from Melbourne to stay in Reims for my birthday. we had booked rooms 6 months in advance and although there was some miscommunication early on - that was sorted out. We did find we were there when the Women's World Cup was on, so it was very busy. The manager Christophe and his staff were very courteous and good to deal with. The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. Breakfasts were Ok although a little bland but the food on offer in the bar and bistro was very good. Check in and check out were efficient. It was well located and easy to get to all the main venues. Would definitely recommend.

Nice hotel in City centre Reims with good facilities for most of your needs. Secure parking in the hotel cellar. Friendly and helpful staf, however the night personnel have improvment potential regarding language.

Stayed here with a car club for a visit to the champagne area. We were given parking priority, our 1st evening meal was a group event & we were well looked after. Rooms were good, air con was a necessity as this was the hottest weekend on record! Cocktails were great :-)

Unbeatable location with underground car park. Swift easy check in, small but perfectly formed room with excellent shower, shame the restaurant was full but it looked nice.. Good service in bar although expensive even for France. Highly recommended.

Ideal location right in the middle of town near everything. Modern and well appointed rooms (although double bed a bit small but comfortable). A great touch is that the aircon remains on even if one does remove the key on leaving. Great staff. Have not tried the breakfast as was not necessary but there is a coffee machine in rooms and they leave capsules. An issue is that they are not good at replenishing amenities. Having said that I think this hotel is excellent for what one pays for the rooms.

We were very happy with the hotel in every aspect. The location, the service, the room. Everything. Very comfortable room and made to feel very welcome by any/all of the staff. The bar is a great place for a glass of Champagne and a bite to eat during the day. We had room service one evening as we did not feel like going out. Had the club sandwich each and it was a large meal (very tasty). If returning to Reims, we would not stay anywhere else. Thank you to the staff for making our stay as good as what we could hope for.

I have now stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years. Although I had one subpar experience several years ago, this remains one of the best places to stay in Reims and it has only improved with time. It has recently been refurbished, and the rooms are very comfortable with modern finishings, convenient storage, and big/clean bathrooms. Breakfast contains many hot/cold options, although the breakfast room can sometimes feel a little cramped when it gets busy. Front Desk Service and Housekeeping were both excellent. I look forward to visiting again!

We stayed for 3 nights recently for a Women's World Cup match - our first time in Reims. The hotel was in a great location, steps away from Rue d'Erlon with tons of restaurants and shops also nearby. A nice grocery store was just around the block as well. The front desk staff was welcoming and our room was ready when we arrived. Rooms are smallish, but a small table and seat are provided. They are also rather dark, but a ton of lighting is available - from entry lights to table lamp to reading lights on either side of the bed. The pool area is spotless. We did not visit either on-site restaurant, wishing that the more casual location would have been open for dinner as well as breakfast/lunch. Despite the hotel being quite busy, we had no issue with noise in our room. Beds were comfortable (two twins converted to King) and the bathroom was spacious with a great walk-in rain shower. A small honor bar was provided - it would have been nice to just have that refrigerator empty for our own items. The elevator could be a bit slow at times, but the one we used was only for a small number of rooms per floor. Overall, the location and price couldn't be beat and this was a nice "home" for 3 days.

All you need from a city centre high end hotel. Superior rooms are large and have all mod cons. Charging points galore , good lighting and seating options, large bed with nice linen, sound proofing, swimming pool and sauna too. Excellent La Paix restaurant attached in house. Staff kind and helpful throughout.

We were staying in Reims for the Women's World Cup and this hotel was a great base. The hotel was newly renovated and clean, and in a perfect location to walk around Reims. We had a great experience with the service at the front desk.

Initially I was dubious staying in a ' Best Western' but this hotel was fabulous, we did pay extra for an upgrade and well worth it, queen size bed, large bathroom with shower and separate bath area, balcony and the décor was superb (although at check out we were advised it's going to be refurbished!), the food in the restaurant was just perfect as was the atmosphere, the bar had a lovely buzz about it and the house champagne was 'Bollinger' - excellent all round, great service too. Minutes away from bars, restaurants, Notre Dame cathedral, Palace de Tau, Musee ses Beaux Arts

This hotel is in a great location, just round the corner from the Main Street and restaurants. We stayed 2 nights and would have happily stayed longer. We had a room on the 5th floor that was extremely spacious with a lovely little balcony and great view out over the rooftops. The room was very well decorated and spotlessly clean with everything you needed, stocked fridge, safe, coffe\\tea making facilities, robes, slippers. The bathroom was ultra modern and had a very comfortable deep bath and a wonderful shower enclosure, although shampoo and conditioning would have been good to have ! The staff at reception were excellent, very friendly, very helpful and a credit to the hotel. I will definitely be stopping here again next time in Reims. Thank you

We stayed there over a long weekend (Fri - Mon) and were very happy with the hotel. It appeared to have been recently renovated and had a very modern style. The staff was very helpful in getting us checked-in quickly and providing assistance when asking for restaurant recommendations. We had two minor issues with the property, noise and heat. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the air is central and rooms can get warm. We were able to open our windows at night for fresh air, but that led to the second issue - noise. There are many bars and restaurants located next to the property, so we were awakened both mornings around 2-3 am by party-goers/night-owls who were singing and shouting outside. It also was not uncommon for construction or street work to start by 7am. I'm able to fall back asleep fairly quickly, but it was an annoyance for us. We'd stay there again, but bring a pair of ear plugs and/or ask for an interior facing room if possible.

This was the most horrible place we stayed during our two weeks in France. The air conditioning is centrally controlled and shuts off every 20 minutes. It does not automatically turn back on even if the room heats up! It was 80 degrees in Reims during the two nights we stayed, and we slept about 4 hours each night because we kept waking up every half hour in sweats and would have to turn the AC back on. We spoke with the front desk about this SIX times and they claimed it should turn back on automatically--it does not. Finally they tried to override the system for us and ended up cutting the AC off to our room completely. At midnight (!!) on our last night we had to move rooms to one that had AC (although similar problem--it would shut off every 20 minutes and wouldn't turn back on unless you manually turned it on). We spoke with others staying at the hotel who said they had the same problem. We all wished we had booked the Holiday Inn instead. BEWARE! Unless you're visiting during the cooler months and the AC won't be a problem.

We stayed in a recently remodeled room and it was very nice. Robes and slippers, a Nespresso machine and a beautiful modern design. The location was fabulous, but the service was absolutely outstanding. We arrived at 8:00 am and never expected the room to be ready, however Tony said he needed about 30 mins for housekeeping to finish up and he could check us in. We got a croissant down the street, walked to the cathedral (which we had all to ourselves at that hour) and voila, our room was ready when we returned. Tony was also kind enough to make a dinner suggestion and then make the reservation for us, but the real coup de grace was when we'd gone champagne tasting at some small houses and then kicked ourselves for not buying some bottles that we loved. He actually called 3 different places in town to see if they had it in stock! Amazing. We had come from a much more expensive and highly rated hotel in Paris, but the BW Premier Hotel de la Paix was a far superior experience in every way. I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Large city centre chain hotels can vary hugely in quality. This one was a real treat. Very clean and new look, friendly staff and a good size room. Our room had good, quiet air con and the shower was big and powerful; the main ingredients for a good stay.

We were very fortunate to be given one of the recently refurbished bedrooms ,the Garden Suite .The room was very comfortable ,bed quality excellent and bathroom. superb with really good shower area .The balcony overlooked both the garden and views to the cathedral .All the staff were top rate and the breakfast very good, catering for all tastes .If you are driving would recommend the hotel parking which removes a lot hassle of being right in the heart of Reims .

The hotel was exactly as described. Breakfast had an expected level of variety and quality for the hotel rating. Staff very pleasant. Parking beneath the hotel was convenient Hotel is central to tourist areas, east to get to from the A26.

Another fantastic stay at La Paix, and as this was (according to the hotel) my 14th visit I think that's a definite recommendation! Prior to arrival, I sent a few emails, firstly to add parking to my booking, and then quite a few asking the ever patient front desk team to contact some champagne producers on my behalf. On arrival, we were given one of the rooms that I always request (thank you!) and told that the floor had recently been refurbished. What a transformation, with new bathrooms, and new furniture the rooms are looking really smart again. With USB charging points added they are more up to date! The new showers in the bathrooms are super! As the weather was superb, we enjoyed a coupe on our balcony and enjoyed the view across to the cathedral, something I will never tire of. Overall, another wonderful stay, courtesy of a wonderful staff, and will be back for visit number 15 soon.

We didn't know much about Best Western as it is rarely seen and not a premium brand in Australia. We chose this hotel mainly because of its location , price and reviews on the booking site. The photos of the room also looked great. However the other photos do not do justice to this hotel, don't be put off. Our expectations were exceeded in every area. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff are fantastic and go out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast is great. The location is perfect. Unusual for any hotel, the restaurant is outstanding. We ate here three nights in a row and the menu was better than anything in Paris and equal to top class restaurants in Australia. The staff were gracious and helpful with minimum wait times for service. Prices were reasonable and the food was outstanding. We would happily stay here again and have no problems giving this hotel our highest recommendation.

This hotel is brill so much better than the website. The rooms are very modern and well thought out, we had a room which overlooked the terrace and had views of the cathedral, the bed was comfy and the bathroom excellent. The only thing could be critical about was the meaness of the bottled water just the one bottle on arrival, but this is minor really. The entrance hall was well appointed and led onto a a lovely bar and sitting area which was always busy. The staff in all parts of the hotel could not be more helpful with information and bookings for trips and meals. Breakfast was in a light airy room overlooking the terrace garden, which I could imagine in the summer could get very hot. There was a lovely swimming pool with adjoining terrace and was very clean with lots of towels and good showers. The hotel is in a fantastic position in reims so central and only a short walk from the station, we got off the train and had a taxi, just walk out of the station head for the continental hotel and look for the golden monument and turn right and you are there! We did not eat at the hotel big mistake, will next time. Cannot recommend enough very good. Stayed April 29 to 2 May

Modern City Centre hotel one block from the main street. Popular with locals who socialize in the spacious bar. Clean modern rooms overlooking quiet street. Attached excellent restaurant. Express breakfasts available for Euros 7 in the bar, excellent for those with small appetites, comprise four pastries, fruit juice and tea/coffee. Underground car parking which has to be prebooked.

I really didn't want to stay in a chain hotel in Reims but this suited our purpose well for one night. Right in the center of town so great to walk around from there. Parking is terrible so add that in advance €14 turns into €18 with tax and fees but still worth it. Celebrating a birthday so they gave us comp glasses of champagne which was really nice. Staff all very friendly and sweet. Pool looked very cool but gym way small. Room typical American chain with all you needed and no more. Will probably try a smaller local place next time just to stay more local.

Booked this direct with the hotel as they offered a good deal. Opted for the premium room and we were the first to use it. A larger room than normal with a lovely view over the courtyard. As it is so centrally located, they recommended we booked a space in the car park underneath and it was a good decision as the area was mainly pedestrianised or for locals. Great buffet breakfast and the weather was so nice that we sat outside. Used the swimming pool too - there is an outside area for sunbathing if you are in the mood. The only issue was with the shower - it leaked all over the floor and we had to call housekeeping to sort out the mess. We were offered - and accepted the car park space free of charge but this is really something that should have been checked.

The hotel is located close to the train station, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops. The staff is helpful and welcoming. I would like to thank a young man who stationed in evening shift (sorry I forget the name). He speaks fluent English and helps us with restaurant booking, suggestions, and guidance to bus to visit champagne house in Reims. The room is spacious and clean, with air conditioning. would recommend this hotel.

Went to Reims from Paris for the last 2 days of our European trip. Didn't really make reservations for the Champagne houses. Luckily the receptionist/concierges were very helpful in making recommendations and the reservations for us including helping us rent a car on our last day to take drive through the vineyards. The hotel is in a great location near a lively area of shops restaurants and bars. Didn't eat or drink at the hotel but it looked very good. Would recommend it to anyone considering a trip to Reims

We stayed 2 nights, the hotel is very contemporary and stylish, the rooms are a reasonable size, they have a chic lounge, coffee machine, comfortable bed, nice bathroom with a good shower and amenities. There are thoughtful touches in the design with reading lights on the bed head, to a peaceful print of the vineyards, nice use of wood in the rooms adds to the style. The champagne bar and courtyard is perfect for a pre dinner drink. Hotel is well located, short walk to Cathedral and in the middle of shopping and dining precinct, you are spoilt for choice. Has its own parking, small area underneath, I recommend booking, parking lots are small but doable. You leave your keys at reception, and access from the roadway via an intercom, as you look at the hotel the car park entrance is on right hand side.

Each time we stay in Reims we go at least once (sometimes every evening) to the Champagne Bar of the hotel: very nice surrounding (in summer you can sit outside), a good variety in half bottles of champagne, good service. A perfect end of the evening !

I travel from London to Switzerland (with a dog) a couple of times a year and have been trying out different places to stop over. Reims is exactly half-way. I went for the Hotel de la Paix because seemed to be the best hotel in town, but I had some uncertainties: - driving into the the centre of town can be a pain. You can burn 30 more minutes. Would it be better to just stay in Tiniquex even if that's soulless. Fear not! The highways runs right into Reims, even if the peace skirts around the outside. So you actually have a direct route by driving through the centre, and are only on city road for 2-3 minutes. - what is Best Western? I don't understand this brand, despite having stayed at it many times. The pictures look really good, but the brand doesn't help assure you. Fear not! At least in my mind, the hotel is far better than a Best Western. It's 4+ stars. - the hotel website was a pain. There was a special offer of -20% and free breakfast shown on the French website when I booked. But no reference in the booking confirmation. I contacted the hotel - they were rather blunt is saying 'we know nothing about this'. Turns out that you could book the offer on the Best Western US and UK websites, despite not being promoted there. But you couldn't book it on the FR website, despite being clearly shown. Confusing... The hotel has everything you want for a great stop over: - very secure underground parking. Make sure you book it, as space is limited - good staff. The breakfast room staff were particularly lovely. - very good breakfast (often not the case in French 'chain' hotels). Good quality, range. Fresh OJ available, and eggs to order. Worth the price. And breakfast started at 7.00 on a weekend (again, can be later in other French hotels at the weekend which is useless on a stopover) - the rooms are very stylish and look like the builders moved out yesterday. Coffee machine, large shower etc. Rooms aren't huge but the space is well allocated (big shower rather than a cramped tub). The hotel is very chic overall. So this maybe goes top of my list for stopover locations. If you have more time to give to you stopover, I would prefer one of the chateaux in the area (e.g. Chateau d'Etoges). However, you need to check in before a certain time etc etc. If you want a short stop-over in max comfort, this is a great option. I checked in a 1am without a problem.

We arrived slightly before check in time but the welcome seemed somewhat lukewarm. Neither of our rooms were ready, which is fine, but there seemed little enthusiasm by the staff to see if they could be expedited. The hotel, and rooms were all clean, but nothing to set it apart from others.

Stayed here while visiting Reims for an overnight from Paris. Delightful staff and well appointed hotel. Room was large and offered a small terrace overlooking the interior courtyard and some views of the city center. Walkable to and from the train station and to the city center with a myriad restaurants and shops. Staff was super helpful in arranging some tours at nearby Champagne houses and restaurants. Highly recommend, especially for the price!

We enjoyed our stay and will use the hotel again. Positives: Location! Bedrooms were modern and in good condition. Lounge and courtyard are great spaces. Superb french breakfast. Negatives: Tight underground parking spaces. Restaurant was full, so book ahead. Lounge bar is slow and has little/no? food offering.

Great reception and service. The rooms are very comfortable as well as the beds. The bar is really nice with a great selection of champagnes - of course. The location is convenient with walking distance to the cathedral and 10 mins from the stations.

We stayed for one night on our journey back to UK. The rooms were very comfortable and the central location great for exploring in the evening. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and service was excellent throughout. We would definitely stay again.

Super spacious and clean room, and pleased when having to leave early we were not charged for the night we didn't use. Mini-niggle is supplementary charge for eggs ordered at breakfast. Overall excellent hotel.

Stayed here on an overnight trip from Paris to visit the Cathedral and the champagne region. The location is excellent. Can walk to the train station but we took a taxi for 8 euro due to heavy luggage. Centrally located in area with restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. Staff extremely helpful throughout our visit with directions, taxis, and restaurant suggestions. Would stay here again.

It is close to the downtown /old town attractions (walkig distance to the Cathedral), this hotel is well appointed for an upscale stay. The rooms are cozy and modern, The bar was open till past midnight and inviting

Very convenient location in quiet central street, not far from Cathedral ad opposite nice shopping centre, and with underground (limited height) parking. Privilege rooms are large and modern, with large bathroom including bath and Italian style shower. KS very comfortable bed with nice linen. The food was very disappointing and so was the service. Items on menu did not fit description at all- my chicken 'émincé' consisted of a leg of roast chicken ad a few extra bits. When we complained that the Champagne Tiramisu was not at all a Tiramisu - and tasted 'off', the Maître d'H was called and said 'what do you expect me to do with it- eat it myself' - which was more than extremely rude !

We stayed here for 4 nights. We stayed last year a slightly different period but it is still perfect for us. The staff are really friendly and helpful and speak English enough to understand. The hotel is a proper hotel in so much as their is a safe in the room, coffee making facilities, fully stocked fridge, iron and ironing board etc ensuite bath/shower toilet etc, tv and a big comfortable bed. We took our computer and Sky plus Extra so we could download and watch too when we were back (don't forget hdmi cable to stream to tv...! Breakfast is superb, the hotel bar is very good and if you pay €14 a night you can park underneath in their car park. The hotel is in the centre of Reims so it is very good all things considered. We actually stayed over the New Year and forgot that most of France closes over this period 31st dec - 2nd Jan but there are some eateries open - you've been warned- ha ha! The hotel though is open for breakfast every morning and lunch in the next door (book in advance) restaurant. The restaurant does serve exceptional food and is priced accordingly.

This hotel is right in the heart of the city. Parking is easy and the staff was so helpful and kind. Their breakfast was a little pricey but it was delicious and had so many options for any kind of eater. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It's a hotel in the heart of attraction. Big rooms with a good size bathroom . Tastefully done with modern facilities. It has it own private car park . Service staff was hempf but did give us to the wrong information champagne house . But lucky for us we found one near by that was Open on a Sunday . Breakfast is expensive but there are enough cafe around for that . It's a good place to stay for a short trip .

I recently stayed in this hotel for 1 night while traveling to the area for Champagne tasting. If you blindfolded me and took me to this hotel and then revealed it inside I would never believe it was a Best Western. It is a cool convenient city center property. Room was a good size, as was the bathroom with a separate WC. Shower had great pressure. Happening bar in the lobby. The breakfast was decent and opened early. We took the TGV train which is about a 15 min ride by taxi. The local train station is closer. Great base to see Reims and to tour the region.

Cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. We stayed on two separate occasions in November. The two Vincents were both beyond helpful in every way. The location is the best in Reims for everything you might want to reach. The parking below was a breeze. And we had a large rental vehicle.

Very nice hotel. Would definitely stay here again. Only 10 mins walk to the train station. Right in the centre of everything. I had a room at the front and yes was a bit noisy on Fri and sat nights but you just close the window all rooms have air con. Bathroom fabulous best shower ever! All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Bar very nice and the breakfast buffet was yummy. So much to do in Reims hotel is right near the main street with numerous cafes restaurants and lovely patisserie's. One weekend not enough!

We stayed in Reims for one night. Best Western is centrally located. Easy walk from train station. Hotel itself is ok. Nothing facing. Interior actually fairly worn out and dated. Bed was comfortable. Room pretty small. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. We had trouble organizing a taxi and became late for a Champagne Tour appointment. One of the hotel staff drove us at no charge. Very, Very nice of them. All staff very nice, helpful.

Never seen so many dogs in a posh business hotel! Secure parking was limited (book in advance) and cost extra but very useful (be prepared to leave your key with reception, however). Very central location. Not especially good value for money but good quality medium sized room with coffee and tea-making facilities. Didn't try the very expensive breakfast buffet.

This is a hotel which accomodates congresses and conferences but a private person can and should stay here too. The facilities are excellent, the people are friendly, the rooms well set up and impeccably maintained. We were here when they were absolutely filled to capacity, but the front desk still had time to show us how to get to where we wanted to, lend us an umbrella and generally exemplified the motto 'grace under pressure'. This is a good place to explore Reims since it is in the city center and the region as well, as they have a parking garage (costs a per diem fee).

Great location in the middle of the pedestrian area of Reims. Lots of restaurants and activity nearby. We had a lovely room with a little balcony and parking was easy in the attached garage. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast isn't included but there are several bakeries nearby that are open as early as 6:30.

All the amenities one could want plus a comfortable bed, well laid out room, modern bathroom, and good service. That, plus a Euro vibe. Hotel de la Paix is a very pleasant place to stay in the heart of Reims. We'd certainly come here again.

It is exactly what you want and expect from a hotel. A couple of things let it down. The cleaning of rooms was below par. Dirty wine glasses not being dealt with and bed sheets being poorly changed. A huge flat screen TV dominates the wall of this small room. The pool is small and in need of repairs as the non slip bottom is all coming off the entrance steps. Great shower.

Stayed here last night, to be near the train station for a train today. Walked up without a reservation, was able to get a better rate than what was available online, with breakfast thrown in as a bonus. Very friendly clerk made it easy. The room was very compact but modern, nicely styled. There was also a cool-looking lobby bar that unfortunately I was too tired to try. This morning, on my way to breakfast, I asked about checkout and was told it was at 11 am! I was clearly surprised, so another very friendly clerk asked if I wished to checkout later, which was not a problem. That gave me time to visit the cathedral and still be fresh for my train.

The rooms have recently been renovated so no complaints! Parking available underneath the hotel. Nice bar area (indoors and outdoors). Good location, centrally located, ideal for a short visit to Reims.

Most of the hotels in Reims are affiliated with chains. So is this one - Although, I believe it is family operated. It is very clean - it is an excellent location - the staff is very helpful. Nice looking bar. It has a garage if you have a car and the fee for parking is €14 per night. It's a good value for the money.

The rooms were clean and spacious, staff friendly and helpful, and the food was goo. The hotel is also in a great location near a lot of shops and restaurants, a few blocks away from the cathedral. Definitely worth the money.

We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved our stay at Best Western a hotel. Rooms a little small but really well decorated and bed was super comfortable! Staff were exceptional and very attentive. Breakfast was delicious - best croissant I had in France so far. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a few days of visiting champagne.

Stay here for a night and am impressed by the design of the room where my subject mentioned. Location is very centralised at the center of the town where a lot of food and beverage joint are and not forgetting the shopping around it.

Everything about this hotel is very smart. Do book underground parking even though it is chargeable as from what I could see there is little other parking around the hotel. Rooms are well appointed but lighting rather gloomy. The restaurant is amazing .... very good food indeed and I would recommend booking as it is very popular. I would definitely stay again.

I don't know why I was surprised actually, it's the most expensive hotel in the city but it was a belter. You could not ask for more. Stunning rooms, elegant lobby, super restaurant and bar, Bret seating area in a courtyard and gym and sauna. Parking is cheap and directly opposite and the desk staff very helpful. The city itself is beautiful and we would recommend a visit in the summer. Winter may be a bit cool. Definitely go to a champagne house. We went and did the Mumm tour.

Staying at the beautifully appointed Best Western in Reims, France, provided great comfort for our visit to a beautiful city. Easy walking access to the train enhanced our pleasant experience. The location of the Best Western is ideal for navigating the sites of the city.

We really enjoyed our time in Reims, but the hotel was a perfect microcosm of our day there. The guy at the check-in desk was one of the most capable, professional, friendly, engaging, intelligent people I've encountered in the service industry. A++. But there's only one elevator on our side of the hotel and it's small, so when two people have luggage for 2 weeks, things get tight. The room was a very nice size along with the bathroom. The area surrounding the hotel has tons of very good options for food. When I went to load the car to depart the next morning, they had re-parked it in a space so small, I couldn't get to the driver's door. That was annoying and felt unnecessary. They had to get the car for me. But we found a great place for a quick breakfast. Ciabatta bread sandwich. I should have ordered 5 of them. So, pros and cons.

This hotel is in a great place, just off the street where there are a lot of shops and cafes, within walking distance of the cathedral. Our rooms were pleasantly decorated, and they have everything you need. We had breakfast one morning but thought the room was a little boring and the breakfast nothing to write home about. So the next day we went to a cafe on the high street and sat outside which was excellent. We tried the bar one night, which was busy and very nice.

If you want a fab hotel within the centre off Reims with easy parking this is definitely the one . It is a short walk to the shops and bars and this I'm sure is a evening destination for many as the bar was fab and the outside area also.

Friends trip to Paris and Champagne region. AMAZING base for visiting champagne houses in Reims, great access to trains to other regions, shops and restaurants footsteps away. Rooms were generously sized and still efficient. Windows opened for fresh air which I love. Beds very comfortable and bathrooms well appointed with showers and beautiful bath tub. Very clean. Service was fantastic. Restaurant was great too. Exceeded my expectations.

Second visit here in the past 5 years. Underground parking bit tight but ok,great location for the shops and bars etc. Lovely inside with good bar area and courtyard area as well. Breakfast good,but can get busy. Rooms spacious and staff very friendly. Recommend this Hotel.

Stayed in Reims for 1 night on a WW I battlefield tour. This is a really nice hotel-the staff at check in and the bar are very friendly and accommodating. We had room 240 which is an upgraded room with a view overlooking the street. We thought it might be noisy but it was as quiet as could be. The room was very nice, clean and the beds were great. Breakfast was included in the room rate and it was very good-lots of selection at the buffet, hot and cold, and well stocked. The hotel has parking attached to it but it takes a lot of perseverance to find it. If you are standing in the street looking at the hotel, it's a very small gated opening to the right. Cost was 14 euros a night. It was warm when we were there and the BW does have air conditioning so that was a really nice bonus. You cannot beat this hotel's location. Come out of the hotel, turn right and there is a pedestrian mall with a lot (and I mean a lot) of restaurants for every taste. We ate at "Apostrophe and it was very, very good.

We had an amazing 2-night stay here. Everything from the staff (shout-out to Vincent) through to the pool and the view from the room was impressive! We hired the hotels bikes and saw Reims from a whole new perspective. I'd 100% recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is great for location to station and all local attractions. The wineries are also within walking distances. The staff/service is faultless. The only negative which is quite significant is the bed is extremely uncomfortable and resulted in pain in both of our backs.

Great location hotel right in the centre of the town. The staff were really helpful. Nice breakfast and good to have a pool as a bonus. The car park is a little tight if you have a big car - but we managed to get a pick up in and parked - €14 per night but very convenient!

A great hotel located in the middle of Reims. Hotel de la Paix boasts large, clean rooms, a fab bar and is surrounded by loads of restaurants and shops. It is also a very short walk from the stunning cathedral. Many of the large champagne houses (Veuve Cliquot, Taittinger, GH Mumm) are all a short drive away from the hotel. This hotel should definitely be considered for a stay in the city of Champagne.

The Hotel is just half block to the "tourist pedestrian area" with many shops and restaurants etc. You can really go walking to many "must see" places in Reims from there. We only stayed two nights as our schedule was tight but could see all I wanted for a first visit, thanks to its location. I will definitely come back and stay there again. Good in room amenities, very good breakfast as well, and a friendly staff. WiFi wasn't very good all the time though... A keeper !! ;-)

Best Western isn't necessarily known for 5 star hotels but this is really an exception. Situated right at the heart of the city, close to where the action is and walking distance from the tourist attractions, such as the Cathedral. Standard rooms aren't that big but they are very well designed with a perfect lay out and modern facilities. A nice bar, and a calm and peaceful inner courtyard, make it a pleasant experience. Their restaurant is top quality with a great service and a very good price/performance relatio. On the way to our room 123 it was a bit gloomy on the ground floor in the "lobby" and it could easily have been made a little bit more attractive. Underground parking at the hotel has to be reserved, which they forgot to tell us, however opposite the Hotel is a fantastic multi floor public parking, where parking cost you Euro 16,- for the whole night.

We have just returned after staying for the weekend at this hotel, rooms were spotless with large bathrooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have ever had with such good choices and lovely friendly staff. The hotel could not be more central

Stayed at this lovely hotel for 3 nights - 17/08 We were a group of over 78 cars organised by the Belgium cabrio club the hotel is very good rooms excellent- we had food at the hotel on Friday evening a buffet which was extremely tasty with champagne and wine flowing!! We drove all over the region on Saturday and Sunday following the champagne route such beautiful scenery ?? We had breakfast at the hotel each day the staff were very friendly and professional We visited Reims cathedral where they had a laser show amazing Would definitely recommend this hotel close by to many shops bars and restaurants- the reception staff will advise you on this

Stayed for 3 nights in a Deluxe King with view over the courtyard. The room was spacious and clean with a decent size bath which was appreciated after a long flight. Plenty of storage and a comfortable bed. Wifi wasn't great in our room though... Breakfast was good with plenty of choices and the location was superb, walking distance to the train, shops, restaurants. Reception staff were friendly and helpful in arranging tours to Champagne houses. Did an amazing day tour to Epernay visiting Vueve Cliquot and a small producer with Vine Escape. Also enjoyed a beautiful dinner at 3* Michelin L'Assiette nearby

Could not fault this overnight stay. Reception staff welcoming, informative and very helpful. Makes a real difference to the impression of hotel when staff have a personable and good attitude sadly lacking in some hotels. Rooms excellent. Perfect location. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic location in the center of Reims. Walking distance to everything! Parking available at the hotel (limited spaces so book in advance), approx 15 Euros per day. Really welcoming staff, great foyer and bar. Used the gym which has fully functioning equipment (Weights machine, treadmill, bike, Cross Trainer), great swimming pool, sauna room. The room itself was excellent, with everything in it - home from home - tea/coffee facilities, iron/ironing board, room safe, awesome bathroom! Nothing to fault - loved it here!!

Overall a good experience. Staff were fantastic! Rooms were good although a bit on the small side - but clean and modern. Breakfast was also good - worth the 17 Euros per head, especially if you're an early riser as very little is open at 7am. However, on the morning we had breakfast at 7am they were still setting up most of the buffet stations which isn't good enough. And there was no way to get anything other than filtered coffee from a big urn (no machine or barrista) - again, at this level I would normally expect a barrista / machine. Pool was good - great to have one after a day of champagne tasting! However, I would recommend this hotel and would stay again. Also recommend you pre-book parking. It's cheaper than the public car park opposite the hotel! I'm glad we did.

This hotel is less than 10 minutes from the motorway but right in the heart of Reims. There is parking available if you prebook or parking across the street in another car park, I think. The hotel parking was 14 euros a night. Not only is this hotel in a great location, it is a really nice hotel. The staff were really friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was modern, decorated to a very good standard and the bed was large and comfy. The room was large enough for.us to comfortably set up our babys cot. There was also a little seating area in the room. The air conditioning was modern and efffective. A range of English channels on the TV including BBC 1. The hotel is in walking distance of lots of restaurants, shops and the cathedral and the city is a lovely place to walk around. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Reims.

The bar is a nice place to have a drink and enjoy the terrace The best of the hotel are the people that work at the reception. They are friendly, nice and very helpful!! They give great recommendations about everything. We stayed for five nights and we had a great time. If I go back to Reims I would stay again in this hotel!!

The hotel was well-appointed, and the staff were friendly, spoke English well and were patient with my fractured French. You can't beat the location; right in the centre of town and within walking distance of the cathedral and Palace of Tau. I wasn't happy that breakfast was not included in our room, when I thought it was. Like most a la carte hotel breakfasts, the food was fine, but it was expensive for what you got. Still, I'd stay there again and recommend it.

The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre. Parking garage opposite the hotel makes it easy if you arrive by car. Rooms are large and comfortable. Ours was located at the side of the street which caused some noise at night. The hotel bar is definitely worth checking out. Staff was super friendly and very helpful!

Hotel very central. Parking very good. Room a bit disappointing only because it was quite small and the bathroom door was smoked glass. However, it was very clean, and had coffee making facilities. Recommend for a central location. We walked to Veuve Clicquot caves from here took 30 mins. Not much on that side of town. Everything is in the area of this hotel otherwise.

Arrival wasn't great, someone staying in the hotel had blocked the carpark entrance and so we had to wait nearly 30 mins for this to be resolved, I know it wasn't the hotels fault directly but it certainly wasn't ours and so a gesture would have been appreciated, one night free parking maybe? We booked a large premier room so had plenty of space and a good size bathroom with separate shower and bath. Although we were on the front of the hotel we didn't hear excessive street noise and so slept well. We tried to visit the bar on our first night but service was painfully slow and so we left, we did enjoy drinks in the courtyard on the second night but had to ask for the table to be wiped and for snacks to accompany the drinks. All in all good hotel in a central location for visiting the champagne houses of Reims.

We booked Taittinger tour and needed a hotel for the night. It was our anniversary so treated ourselves to a more expensive hotel with a pool and in the centre of town so we could walk to restaurants. Having just left the centre of Brussels at a brilliant hotel for two nights for £200. This hotel at £145 for the night was very expensive in comparison. So we expected great things. Parking is secure and under the hotel. 14€ per 24 hours. You press a buzzer and tell them who you are for entry. Our immediate reception was frosty. Probably because I refused to swipe my card for extras. I had paid in advance. If I want anything else in the hotel I will pay as I go. I think the art of holding money against your card is antiquated and insecure. Secondly they want to hold your car keys. My Husband thought it was for security but we read a notice in the lift that said it was so they could move your car. We went back to reception and stated we absolutely did not give permission for anyone to move or go into our car. They were not insured. We don't understand this request as we were parked in a space not blocking anyone. So why would the hotel need to access your car in any way? Clearly don't have the same car insurance rules as we do in the UK. There's large pillars down there. Very easy to hit something. How on Earth we would prove it if something had been stolen or damaged? The room was modern design. Very soulless and smelt of chemicals. Shower room modern and purposeful. There's a minibar. Nespresso machine. Free bottle of water left but they didn't put that in the fridge. Aircon. Wifi was good and strong signal. Just BBC channels in English and news. TV was in the wrong place. No dressing table/chest of drawers. So no where to put things like hairdryer and make up. The room was more design over function. View was the road. Hotel wasn't busy, always give out good rooms when you're not busy. Encouraged people to come back and give good reviews. Swimming pool was freezing cold despite advertising it was heated. Steam room didn't work. Sauna was fine. Pool was difficult to get into and very dirty. Needs a good clean. Outside area was lovely, nice features. But staff were busy serving their friends. We noticed the friends got snacks and nuts with their drinks. Us and another English couple didn't. It was very obvious we were being treated differently. They were constantly asked for more drinks. We didn't get asked once. So left after the first round. All in all we wouldn't go back. We wouldn't recommend it either. Wish we had saved our money and booked the Holiday Inn, Ibis or Mecure as they were all nearby and were around £85 a night. We didn't benefit from spending that extra £60. Compared to what we had just stayed in, in the capital city centre of Belgium too. It doesn't compare. Town was soulless too. Very expensive food. Not sure why Reims thinks it's above other cities in France we have visited for cheaper. Our advice is visit the champagne houses then stay elsewhere.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a 'Classic Room with Queen Bed'. The room was great. It was modern, spacious by European standards, and clean. It had a lovely view towards the cathedral. The hotel is very well located with plenty of restaurants and and shopping nearby. We took breakfast on one morning at the hotel and it was simple yet plentiful, and reasonable value. We generally like to go outside the hotel for breakfast, however we had difficulty finding something that was open early close by(7-8am ish). Next time I would book breakfast with my room. All in all this is a good hotel, in a good location, with friendly and helpful staff.

Good value for money. Great location. Resturant sea food selection fantastic . Staff very attentive. All requests were promptly attended to . Walking distance to many attractions. Was offered late check out. Definitely would stay here again .

The location of this hotel is perfect, and the rooms are very fresh, clean and up-to-date. The breakfast did not impress us, we skipped it and we suggest you do the same. Apart from that, no complaints.

Having stayed here many times we found there has been some degree of updating.The rooms are modern and inviting, comfortable beds, good air conditioning. Other changes are 3 breakfast options and the availability of light lunch in the bar area. Will certainly be staying here on our next trip to Reims

Centrally located and only ~ 7 min walk from train. We travelled with our 2 older children and got 2 rooms next to each other. Very clean. Walked everywhere. We don't normally book American hotel chains in Europe as we prefer a local experience. We were pleasantly surprised with the international ambiance at La Paix. Bathrooms large with tubs and separate shower. Breakfast was $17 euro and was well stocked with scrambled eggs, meats, delicious baked goods, yogurts, muesli and espresso / cappuccino at no charge and staff were happy to accommodate. No need to book breakfast ahead - decide when you get there. A Fossier gingerbread with candied nuts is not to be missed. Bar was fun for a night cap. Agree with a recent reviewer - many other hotels near this price point looked run down. Non - smoking which added to the stay - it was a very clean and modern hotel. Front desk quite helpful for taxi bookings. Restaurant was excellent - highly recommended (see separate review). The hotel was perfect for our 3 night stay in Reims. Thank you La Paix!!

Booked a taxi at the desk to take me to dinner and collect me afterwards. When the return taxi did not show called the desk who were totally disinterested. Explained that I did not have the number and was 16km from the hotel. The guy just hung up on me! I have used this hotel over 30 times and right now I can say that this is my last visit ever!

The location is terrific, you are close to absolutely anything you need. We shopped, ate and walked to two different Champagne houses from this hotel. I felt like I wasn't missing out on what Reims has to offer by staying here. They have parking underground, and that is pretty tight-but it was a needed option for us, since we drove a rental car. The front desk staff wears name tags that tell you which language(s) they speak-so you'll always be able to communicate with someone. Our room was very spacious, and I appreciated that after staying in Paris! The bathrooms have a tub and a shower with plenty of space in there as well. You can open the windows in these rooms, which was very nice since we had mild weather at night. The pool is not outdoors, but there is a place to relax and catch some sun right next to the pool with lounge chairs. The courtyard and bar is open late, and it seemed that many people not staying at the hotel even came for some cocktails and to enjoy the space. There is plenty of seating and service was efficient. It's a little pricier than some of the other hotels we looked at, but by staying at a branded hotel, you can rely on consistent service and a clean room. Some of the other non-brand hotels looked quite run-down when we walked by them.

An excellant hotel in a very good location. rooms are spotlessly clean, the bathroom appeared to be newly refitted. The bed was comfortable, quiet and cool. The decor can be quite modern with bright colours but i liked that. The breakfast is a good range of cereals, fruit, cooked and continental.It is possible to site outside for breakfast in the court yard if the weather permits. The staff were very helpful when i called upon them once or twice. The pool is nice and the seating area outside pleasant.This hotel may be a little more expensive than others but it is great value. I would recommend for business, families and even a romantic break.

Chic and easy from arrival to departure. De La Paix is really well located in the centre of things, just a short stroll from the full range of restaurants, bars and shopping. Further afield, yet still within walking distance are the majority of majority sites. On site are its restaurant, champagne bar and alfresco courtyard space for drinks and bar snacks. All very chic and of top quality. Note - A limited amount of underground parking is available, so do make sure you book it prior if you need it. Reception team are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Likewise, all of the other teams are equally as efficient and obliging. Rooms are very well appointed with contemporary decor and furnishings. Very clean and spacious with all of extras and facilities you expect of a BW Premier. All-in-all a great hotel in a great location for visiting central Reims.

We stayed here with family for a long weekend. We had a deluxe room, they are way nicer than the standard rooms other people in our party booked. The room was spotless, quiet and quite spacious. One small detail: there were flies in the room. We mentioned this to the staff and they took good care of it. We were in the back of the hotel, the front can be noisy with traffic and people having a night out. The staff was very friendly and helped us out in booking a restaurant as we had no reservations and it was a busy night. They were really nice. The drinks at the bar were rather high in price and you had to place your order at the bar. The location of the hotel is just excellent when visiting Reims. Overall we were very happy with the hotel!

I have been visiting Reims annually and sometimes more for 15 years, and having tried other hotels and B&Bs the Best Western is the best! The location is great, right in the centre of town, and the underground parking is also a real bonus. The public areas were done up a few years ago and look stunning. To be honest the rooms are starting to look as if they need an upgrade too (my reckoning is that they're about 10-12 years old). Everything is really clean but there are just a few bits that are starting to look worn and out of date. The staff at the hotel are really helpful and have gladly booked restaurants and Champagne visits for me. I'll gladly book the hotel again next time I visit.

As said in many reviews the location is 100% perfect and it has good secure underground parking...Staff all very efficient and i guess this is primarily a business hotel but that said it suited us fine...swimming pool a bit disappointing (on the small side) and steam/sauna you have to switch on and wait so that is not ideal!..on our next visit to lovely Reims we will book again...thank you.

I booked quite early and got a decent price. I hadn't planned on paying for breakfast, but did so anyway and the breakfast was good. The room maybe wasn't quite up to par with the hotel's appearance, but it was alright. I had a good stay and the staff at the reception that I was in contact with was very helpful and nice.

Cannot fault this hotel at all. The reception was hilarious, a very funny reception manager, exceptionally helpful too! Room and shower wonderful. 60 lengths in the pool and sauna followed by relaxing on the sunbeds in a secluded courtyard. Wonderful.

Just back from a fabulous weekend in Reims. 7 couples in all and booked this hotel for the 3 nights we were in this great city. Rather disappointingly we paid the standard room rate of 180 euros per night and some rooms had a double bed and some were twins even though we booked it 12 months ago. Rooms were ok - business like - shower over a redundant bath (never understand baths in standard hotel rooms), fairly small rooms, modern in build and design. We had a room on the front which was fairly noisy- powerful motorbikes, bin collection at 5am and general post booze frivolities led to a couple of disturbed nights. I am sure the rooms at the back would be much quieter. we adjoining doors with the room next to us and we could hear every word they said. Modern block means every door slam is heard all over the floor. Bottled water in the room was chargeable which is a complete joke at 180 euros a night and 4 star. Never any milk or tea bags for a morning drink either. Clean and beds were comfortable. Location is great with the Strip a stones throw away and the Cathedral and Train Station only a short walk. Lovely courtyard area at the back for quiet sitting and enjoying your breakfast. Decent bar area and entertaining staff in there who know their drinks!! All in all ok but expensive for a room which is equivalent to a Premier inn room.

After a very busy day of flying we picked up our rental car at CDG airport and drive 1.5 hrs to Reims. We chose this hotel because of its location. Parking was available in their garage but you must make arrangements prior to arrival for a parking space. The rooms are nicely appointed and our overlooked the center court which has tables and chairs and where you can have a glass of wine and relax. We dined at the hotel's restaurant and had a very hearty meal. All in all a good experience.

It enjoys a central position , with its own paying parking, a good structure tailored for business travellers , a nice bar with an outside space enjoyable in good season , and so about the structure everthing is fine, except that there is only elevator, and that on our floor (sixth ) there was a strong and unpleasant mould smell ...Rooms are business minded, you can find the always appreciate nespresso machine . The staff needs , a better training, any interaction with tem , check in and check out , as the bar, took really too long too get a proper assitance or decent reply .Check out then was a sort of night are , forcing us to wait twenty minutes to pay local taxes and parking fees as the lady was not too expert in making the invoice...for one night it is okay and the town does not offer too many better alternatives

We chose this hotel because of its location and were no disappointed. It is in the middle of town, walking distance from all the places we wanted to visit in the city, particularly the Cathedral de Notre Dame at Reims. The building was recently renovated. The personnel at reception were very nice and helpful. They were eager to help. The building has parking for guests so we could park our rented car. The room was nicely decorated and the room was very comfortable with good air conditioning, free toiletries and ample space to move around. The bed was a large double. Free wi-fi is available. Highly recommend this hotel.

We really loved this hotel. We were walking distance to everything and there is a great pedestrian mall around the corner. The desk staff were very knowledgeable and helpful for our stay. There is not a concierge, but who needs it when you have such a helpful group at the front desk!!

Clean and efficient hotel, compact rooms, helpful staff. Not very much storage room, no proper wardrobes. Secure parking available at an extra charge but be sure to pre book as space are limited. Lovely outside space, drinks in the bar overpriced. Great location though in the heart of Reims centre in walking distance of all major attractions.

The restaurant was great with fantastic food and staff. The breakfast was good and very varied. The pool was a bit dirty but nice to cool off in( not for children). Ok fitness room but not so good air conditioning there ( in the room it was great) The room was spacious and clean. Bar was great with bartender mixing drinks and giving a show. :) Definitely coming back here!

Loved staying here! Just driving up you know it's going to be a great place. Lovely spacious rooms. Comfortable beds and bathroom clean and well appointed. Very picturesque dining area. The night we arrived enjoyed drinks at the bar. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Loved it. Swimming pool is salt water, nice sauna and exercise room. Perfect central location. Has own pay parking lot.

nice size room, Comfortable bed and furniture and the air conditioning worked best with drapes closed since we we on the sunny side of the hotel. Parking spaces are that but that seems to be true in all of France.

This is a modern hotel located amidst an older set of buildings. The furnishings are new, the place is kept clean, and it is very convenient to sights in Reims. The downside is that it can be noisy, depending on the crowd and time. We were there on a weekend, and there were several loud groups in the cafe in the interior courtyard (maybe they had had too much champagne). And another night there was a loud group on a balcony or with their window open. Our AC wasn't very efficient either. But the bar is very chic, and it seems very popular. You can park in the garage beneath the hotel if you reserve a space ahead of time. Our room, facing the courtyard, also had a view of the cathedral.

We don't normally go out of our way to stay in a BW hotel after some poor experiences in the past, but the Hotel de la Paix proved our initial concerns were unfounded. This is indeed a very well appointed and attractive 4-star hotel which provide everything we needed for a short 2-night stay in Reims. We brought our own car over on the Eurotunnel from the UK and used the Buirette multi-storey car park on the other side of the road. It was OK though the access ramps are very tight if you have a large car like us. The hotel offers validated parking which worked out at 6 Euros for the two nights we left the car in the car park. Our room up on the 5th floor was great, really nice modern style with thick carpeting and atmospheric back-lighting. Fine for a relaxing leisure stay but the low light level could have been a bit annoying if I were here on business and trying to work in the room. The very effective aircon was a welcome relief as our visit coincided with a heat wave (29 deg C outside). The TV had plenty of French HD channels (terrific pictures of the Roland Garros tennis which was on) and also BBC1, BBC2 and Sky News for UK guests. Wi-Fi was OK but the signal strength seemed to vary at different times of the day from good to quite weak. The hotel serves a very nice breakfast and you can sit out in the courtyard if the weather is up for it. We also had a nice dinner one night (reservations strongly recommended on Sunday evenings as many local restaurants are closed) - didn't have a particularly nice table as we were relegated to a back room, but the food was nice. We are already thinking about a return trip to Reims as there is much more to see in the area, and will almost certainly stay at the Hotel de la Paix once again if we can get a similar rate.

BWP de la Paix is a great place to stay. It made the Reims part of our visit very special. The hotel is beautiful and the service is excellent. The location is superb being walking distance to many of the wonderful Reims points of interest. The vibrant feel of the adjacent square puts one in a festive mood and makes it hard to leave. Indeed we added a night to our stay because we had enjoyed the hotel and the associated vibes so much. Note the restaurant is simply excellent, but be sure to make a reservation because others know how good it is and it can fill up.

Great hotel!! Clean, heart of the city, great staff! Staff booked Champagne house tastings for us, felt like a 5 star hotel. Absolutely beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

I rated this hotel a 4 out of 5. We only had a short stay here and did not experience all the hotel had to offer but felt that a 3 was a bit low. Check in was easy, parking was easy (although they did require that we give them our car key). The room's décor looked very new, was a bit smaller then other rooms we had rented in the UK and Belgium. We arrived quite late in the day and one remote in one of our rooms did not seem to be working plus the A/C did not seem to be functioning as well as the other room. We were tired and did not complain. The location was excellent and the city was quite a pleasure to explore for the short time we were there. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again and hope to explore more of the hotel.

A less than seamless check in, the property is under going renovations and when we ask for some fresh towels we are told “you only get one lot of towels per day”. The experience here was a low point of our trip and nothing like this has been said to us anywhere else in Europe, or elsewhere in the world for that matter. Find somewhere else to stay.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this 4-star BW hotel in Reims! All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious! We had a view of the cathedral from our room. We highly recommend this hotel! Breakfast was delicious.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. The staff is extremely accommodating and set up tours for us of two champagne houses. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station which takes 45 minutes from Paris. Reims has a charming town center with lots of cafes, restaurants, shopping, and champagne shops. This hotel is in the heart of it. The two houses we visited were within walking distance. The hotel will call a taxi if you don't feel like walking. Reims has a rich history and where the kings of France were coronated for hundreds of years. The Cathedral is easy walking distance from the hotel and a must see. It is magnificent and free. The Palace of Tau is beside the cathedral and is well worth the 8 Euros to visit. We stayed 2 nights and could have stayed many more. This is a wonderful, charming, walkable city with plenty to do and Hotel de la Paix is a perfect place to stay. The hotel was built in 1919 and has a blend of old architecture with more recent additions which are very well done. I would say it's similar to a 4 star hotel in the states. From my observations this is the second nicest hotel in Reims after Chateau Les Crayers which is absolutely stunning and priced accordingly. We had a great stay at Hotel de Le Paix!

We arrived late at night in the hotel. The reception was efficient to handle our group of 40 people. They have done the pre-check-in for us. Within minutes, we all got in the rooms. We stayed in a newly renovated trendy room. Neat and tidy. Minimalism. In the morning, while we walked out to the restaurant, we found that the hotel is also a renovated one from an old building. What an integrated architecture. Breakfast was good and I enjoyed staying in here.

This is our second visit to this hotel. It is in such a great central spot. The rooms are lovely and the shower has good water pressure. The restaurant in the hotel is also very good if you are too tired to go out. The staff are also very friendly and helpful

For the third time we chose this hotel for a one night stay whilst motoring to the South if France. The hotel is conveniently situated, the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, the entire hotel is exceptionally clean and well run, the staff are helpful and welcoming and the underground garage with direct access to reception is a big plus avoiding the worry of the car being broken into. We will be back !

This hotel was booked as part of a biking package. We were more than satisfied, The room was large with an expresso maker and a nice terrace. The breakfast had a lot to offer and before a long day of riding I filled up on eggs,pancakes,and sausages. I was having a problem with the bike rental and when I asked at the front desk about making a phone call the woman at the front desk offered to call on my behalf. Very satisfied.

Like a lot of Reims, things are not as they at first seem but emulate the old style. This hotel is a delightful mix of contemporary inside with older style outside (except the colourful mini balcony wall on the Place Drouet d'Erlon end. The hotel sprawls over quite an area of real estate. The food was adequate rather than stunning (we had a group meals which was slightly overcooked). The main bar is very lively and noisy which may not suite everyone. However there are many bars and restaurants nearby. A great base to explore Reims and its champagne houses.

Great mix of new and old and what a fabulous spot to be able to enjoy the city. Front desk recommended the Notre Dame light show that I had never heard about before, (and I have a ton of people working in the city...) and so happy they told us! Can't wait to come back.

The staff were very helpful and polite and the hotel was comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed a pleasant meal in the restaurant, and although we did have cause for complaint ( something in the food that shouldn;t have been) the staff dealt with it well and we received 2 complimentary desserts. The champagne bar didn;t have the one we asked for in stock, although it was on the list! Very central and easy to walk to shops and the cathedral etc. Would recommend

After a long car journey through France on a busy Easter weekend we were welcomed by incredibly polite and helpful staff who went to great lengths to place us on the same floor as we had 2 rooms. We even had newly decorated and literally were the first to stay in these rooms. We hadn't booked ahead but have stayed there before and the service is always as good. The rooms were immaculately clean. It could not have been busier at breakfast but they handled it beautifully with patience and still a full buffet to choose from. Even if their own car park is full there is one across the street which is useful in a city centre. We cannot recommend this hotel enough.

We haven't stayed in a BW for many years and didn't realise we had booked one on our way to the alps. But we were pleasantly surprised at their 'Premier' brand. Parking under the hotel was welcome - but why do hotels have to charge for parking - just another hidden cost that we will look out for in future. Anyway - we liked it and we will return.

Good location, excellent customer service and pleasant staff. Some design faults make rooms less than amenable (deluxe room) especially the too high for comfort high plastic chairs, but generally well appointed. Major flaw is the internet which barely works only some of the time. If like us you depend on reliable connection don't stay here. Bar and lunch area is very pleasant. Room overlooking courtyard is pleasant.

We were using Reims as a central point for 3 days of Champagne tours and this was the perfect hotel. Very clean, modern, all the conveniences you need. Good breakfast in Hotel and the attached restaurant was great for dinner. Very secure as key card needed for elevator use. Bar was very nice and the bartender was a hoot, he could do the whole cocktail type experience with the flipping and juggling of bottle and mixers. The staff was very nice and friendly. Will stay here again.

We were there one night. We were in our way to Tours from Strasbourg when our rental broke down. Due to timing issues we rerouted to Reims. Looked up this hotel and were happy with our choice. Literally around the corner you'll find all types of restaurants. Just keep in mind that lunch is served only from 12-2 pm. Then it is very difficult to find a place willing to serve lunch as we know it. The room was very comfortable.

We were overly impressed by this Best Western as it was centrally located, had wonderful staff, a delicious restaurant on property, easy affordable parking and large beautiful rooms. We are usually boutique hotel type guests, but this was as boutique as any small place. The lobby and coffee bar was beautiful, and we loved eating at the La Paix restaurant. Our room was clean, came with coffee/tea/water and had a great shower. We were comfortable and loved the outside living room to relax at night and have a champagne recap. The staff was great with their Champagne recommendations and maps as well. Great stay!

So 3 guys enter a bar. Sadly though this is no joke playing on supposed differences in intellect between different British nations but a tale of woeful customer service by the bar manageress. Great service, great cocktails , 2 bottles of champagne and good fun was had between the 3 of us but as our night drew to a close, which was 30 minutes before closing time I hasten to had, the bar manageress decided to close our tab without any explanation. This was such a shame as our American bar tender had, until this point, provided fantastic service and really looked after us. Why the manageress decided to close the tab without warning or explanation was completely beyond any of us. A complete lack of ability by the bar manageress to explain why left us dumbfounded but no doubt we were now clearly of the opinion she was somewhat “stuck up” and completely lacking in any customer service skills. To be clear this review was written within 15 minutes of leaving the venue so judge for yourself if we were in an unfit state!!! Will we visit again - absolutely not. Which is a real shame as we had been so well looked after until the bar manageress effectively pulled the rug from under our bar tenders feet leaving her feeling no doubt uncomfortable as to the sudden lack of service and hospitality.

While it is not a quaint historic hotel, we think that this is a good place to stay when on a short trip to Reims or as a base for a few days travelling nearby. it is walking distance from the station and in a good handy part of the town, with a decent view of the Cathedral. The staff were friendly and were able to arrange early checkin for us which we very much appreciated. I wouldn't say that there is a wow factor but the rooms are comfortable and larger than others and we have not found somewhere in the city that does it better.

Arriving on the 1st of January meant that there were not a lot of the usual accommodation places that I would have preferred in the Champagne region open. Best Western seemed a good choice for 2 nights as most of Reims would be open and they had secure parking. Arriving, there is no where outside this hotel to stop the car. The trainee at reception was more interested in giving me her pre prepared speech about how they were not responsible for police giving us a ticket than explaining to me where to put the car so I could run back out and let my husband know before he held up too much traffic. Not a great start, however after doubling back we located the carpark and brought our bags up to reception. This hotel has a grand foyer and nice bar but heading upstairs to our room, we encountered funky lights and orange walls which cheapened the lovely old building. We had a good view of the courtyard and roof tops towards the cathedral. We booked a deluxe room and it was a good size with a separate siting and dining area and a tv that swiveled to face the bed or couch. There were 2 tables and a good space for 2 suitcases. A bath, good space on the vanity and a good shower rose completed the adequate bathroom. There were no wine glasses in the room despite having champagne in the mini bar, the tissue box was empty and there was another useless hairdryer attached to the wall and no power point in the bathroom. When I called up to request these things I was told it would take 45 mins as there was only the receptionist on staff (it was the 1st January). I was also informed that if I wanted wine glasses I had to get them myself from the bar. We decided to head to the pretty champagne bar for a drink instead but it was closing at 8pm and the bar girl coldly could not suggest where we should go for dinner or a bar that was open. That said, this hotel is in a great location for the mall, Reims Cathedral and some of the champagne houses. There was also some better service once the team had come back from their time off.

We stayed here for 3nights and had a wonderful time. Good breakfast and very friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. Rooms very good although unsure about the frosted glass doors to the bathroom. Would definitely stay here again.

I had the most amazing experience at the hotel de la Paix.First of the location is just perfect. It is close to everything,a short walk to the train station,Cathedral is just behind. Breakfast is abundant and excellent . The hotel bar is very well designed and lively in the evenings.The hotel restaurant serves great French fare and reasonably priced wines from all regions as well as champagne choices. Upon check in we were upgraded to a larger room and allowed to have our room early before 12 noon. I highly recommend!

Central hotel with spacious comfortable rooms and secure parking. We were concerned on arrival to find that there was a big wheel set up immediately outside of our window however the curtains shut out the flashing lights and the double glazing shut out the noise so no problem there. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and the only negative factor (which in truth was only an irritation) was that we needed to take three different lifts to get from the car parking area to our room. Although the restaurant was good there are so many really good restaurants on the doorstep that it is a shame to eat in the hotel, unless, like us, you are weary after arriving and just want to eat and then fall into bed. A TIP; If you are arriving for New Year in Reims make sure that you have booked a restaurant for the night of 31 /dec as they fill up quickly. We had booked for both the 31 Dec and the 1 Jan although there did seem to be plenty of restaurants available for the 1st January.

The reception area is large and newly modernised. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Our room was modern with a good bathroom with shower. Altogether very comfortable and in a brilliant central location. We used the heated indoor pool in the leisure centre. It was easy to keep the car in the basement car park, which was well laid out. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, but there is a big choice of other restaurants nearby. We would return.

We stopped over for just one night with 2 teenagers and a small dog, while travelling from the south of France to the UK. The hotel is very central to shops, restaurants and anything else one might need, yet is just a short, easy drive off the motorway. Parking underneath the hotel is secure. The rooms were clean and comfortable and a plentiful breakfast was included in the price. It consisted of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, breads, plus scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. There's a lively bar area with fireplace and attractive courtyard for fresh air. This is an elegant and comfortable hotel option right in the middle of town. I would definitely stay again. The cathedral Notre Dame de Reims is a 10 minute walk away and really worth a visit.

An easy walk from the train station and conveniently located in the city. My room was very nice and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Reims! Whether you are here to see the cathedral or go on a tour of the champagne vineyards.

The hotel is conveniently located near the centre of town and a 10 minute walk from the train station. There is only a small car park at the hotel but directly opposite the hotel is a large multi storey car park. The hotel had clean and comfortable rooms and the buffet breakfast was sufficient and the service was friendly and efficient. It was a good base to explore the town - the beautiful cathedral, markets and restaurants were all about a ten minute walk away.

Stayed here for a three night visit to the Champagne region. Centrally located, it is very convenient when arriving/departing by train to visit other cities such as Epernay. Check-in/Check-out was quick and the rooms were very comfortable. We ate several times at the restaurant and the food was delicious. You also have dozens of other restaurants options outside a within a block from the hotel. Champagne house in Reims are dispersed and not very close, but the location was perfect to enjoy the evening eating out and drinking Champagne. If we return to Reims, we will come back for sure.

This property is better than it appears. I wasn't that familiar with Best Western properties but is this is the norm, I will search them out. Rooms were very large and comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful both before my stay, via email and then once we arrived. But the best recommendation I can give is that my daughter's friend left her tablet in their room as we check out. We didn't realize until the following day. Not only was it found but then returned to my daughters friend immediately. Well done Best Western de la Paix!!!

As a group of 3 girls we wanted to explore the Champagne region. Its very difficult to find triple rooms in France so we were delighted to find them available, at a reasonable price, at this central hotel. We didnt intend to spend much time at the hotel but as it turned out we spent an entire evening there. They have a lovely courtyard with a pool, and there was (slow) table service offering the local wines. I would return here for the triple rooms, but if I were travelling as a couple Id look for somewhere a little more special.

We stayed here one night en-route to Strasbourg. Reception was very helpful and check-in efficient. The route to our room involved taking a lift from Reception to the 1st floor, then a short walk past the Swimming Pool area to another lift up to the higher floors. Our room was very clean, nicely appointed and very comfortable. Would definitely return again.

I have never stayed at a Best Western and was a little wary of doing so this time (normally choose more luxury options). But my top choices were booked, the TA reviews were positive, and it seemed a great location. I had received an email a few days before our scheduled check in to answer some questions about our arrival and stay. I was happy to have an opportunity to let them know we'd be arriving well before check-in (9 or 10am I think I wrote) based on our early morning arrival at CDG and the 1.5 hour drive to Reims. We arrived within that window and they had a room ready for us - the opportunity to check in, unpack and take a shower etc. after our overnight flight was an absolute game changer. The room itself was quite nice - kind of mid-century modern decor with a couch, table, ample closet and space in the bathroom. There were nice plush towels too. The shower was a bit small and the hair and body gel combo in the shower was odd. I really wished they had actual shampoo and conditioner. But this might be a suburban France thing as our hotel in Beaune (though not in Paris or Lyon) had the same thing. So note to others to bring your own if important (I wish I had). We also had a nice view of the courtyard. Otherwise there are a ton of shops, bars and restaurants within close walking distance of the hotel. But the big champagne houses are a bit of a hike - maybe a 30 minute walk. The hotel has parking but they had no free spaces when we arrived. So we used the garage across the street - it is open 24 hours and we left our car there overnight. It was quite safe and affordable. We did not eat at the hotel but had drinks at the bar more than once. The staff was very nice but a little overwhelmed (women seemed to be running around while the men engaged in Tom Cruise Cocktail theatrics without helping serve tables). We sat at the bar so were fine but many at tables seemed a bit annoyed at the slow service. I loved one drink, Just A Dream, on their cocktail menu and must find out how they make it - amaretto, gin and Bailey's (my favorite things!) with whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top. I've tried to make at home but can't seem to get the proportions quite right. Anyway, we had a great time during our stay and would certainly return if we get ourselves back to Reims.

This was our second visit here and only wish more hotels were like this. They have everything absolutely spot on. The bedrooms have everything you need including extras such as iron, tea and coffee, Safe. Both times our room has been spotlessly clean, beds comfy and fairly spacious. The only slight gripe is the only English tv channel is CNN news. BBC world doesn't work, but not the end of the world. Staff are very friendly and helpful and speak very good English. There's a lovely bar and a good restaurant too that is extremely reasonably priced. Overall a very nice hotel and one we will return to. We ate here and at L'Epicier au Bon Manger and Le Grand Cafe both of which were excellent. A great place for a long weekend away if you want to park and forget the car!

Makes a nice change to find a French hotel with decent lighting in the bedroom. It's a different matter in the bathroom where, instead of having the light switch by the door it is on the far side of the room at the rear of the vanity unit so in the middle of the night you have to walk across an unfamiliar room in the dark. Straight from the school of stupid hotel design. Had a busy day in Reims? Want to sit in a nice comfy chair to relax? Well find a different hotel, this hotel doesn't have any. Want an assistance rail by the toilet? In this large bathroom why have they crammed the WC and rail up against the wall? This is in a "superior" Privilege room. The rest of the hotel is OK but these things are annoying and they shouldn't be.

The hotel is very well maintained. It is very centrally located and an easy walk to all of the major sights in Reims. Also, it is surrounded by excellent restaurants. There is a restaurant in the hotel as well as a parking garage below. Staff is friendly.

From the location of this hotel to its well appointed rooms to the friendliness and professionalism of its staff this hotel is hard to beat. We didn't have time to eat at its restaurant but can imagine the quality would be top notch.

After making a wrong turn from the train station and not reading my gps correctly I ended up walking around for 45 minutes dragging too heavy bags. (They are a 10 minute walk from the station) I am 65 years old and was traveling alone. By the time I arrived at the front desk I had a complete asthma and anxiety/ meltdown attack and could barely stand or breath. They saw I was in distress and escorted me to my room (tall gentleman) who talked to me calmly and made me feel more comfortable. I cannot thank them enough. If you have lots of luggage take a cab! Their restaurant in the hotel is extremely good and I ate there twice. You can easily walk to the Cathedral from the hotel. They also are renovating the hotel including rooms. It is also a great area to book the champagne tours. Do not miss the Museum of the Surrender nearby. I was very pleased with the hotel and applaud their caring staff

Stayed here for one night with a group of friends. From the moment we entered to the time we left all of the staff were excellent. If youre travelling by car it is recommened to pre book a parking space in their covered garage as there are more rooms than spaces. The bar staff were friendly and professional and the room with a balcony was perfect and spacious. Our check out was fast and efficient. We would definitely stay on our future visits to Reims.

We arrived without any problems having reserved a basement parking space. The staff were very welcoming and hospitable there was slight confusion as the whole group booking had been made in one name which resulted in the final invoices being complicated. The rooms were very palatial and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. This is a bright modern hotel with very efficient house keeping staff who were always polite and helpful. The rooms were very quite however, with the window open overlooking the front there was noise from groups of youths until 2am if you you closed the window you could not hear the street noise, but would have to use the air conditioning. We visited the bar which was very busy but did not experience any service problems, the bar staff were very knowledgeable and efficient. I would return to this hotel & recommend a visit to others.

You couldn`t stay closer to this cities vibrant centre. What's more there is secure underground parking in the hotels basement. Our second visit here and the hotel offers reasonably sized rooms maintained in good and clean condition. There is s nice bar and outside courtyard area. Staff are efficient.

Modern hotel in great location to explore the city. The rooms are modern and well appointed. The terrace bar is absolutely lovely for breakfast or a pre dinner drink with a good size pool. Would stay again.

Great hotel centrally located in the heart of Reims. Room was well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of good choices. Staff was helpful and friendly. There were lots of good eating choices right outside the hotel. We were only two blocks from the train station.

Chose this Hotel as was well located and our friends had been there before. Arrived and parked the car in the unground carpark,took the lift to the reception and checked in. I was asked to leave my car keys behind the reception for security reasons. So i did not thing anything of it at the time. The next morning i ended to use the car so got my keys and went down to my car,only to find it had been moved without my permission. Did not check milage before i left it so can't say if it was driven on the road or not. The room was 100%, best room i have stayed in for a while,clean and very well put together. The hotel bar staff are a little slow and the music in the bar area got loud so we moved further away from the bar only for the music to be turned up in the area we moved too. Breakfast the next morning we though we would use the restaurant for ease, A big mistake as we were sat down at a table a good walk away from the main room where the food and drink were located. On getting to the coffee and tea area we found there was No drinks available as it was very busy, had to tell the staff they were empty and then it took 15 mins for them to top it up. Now on to the buffet food area, Well hardly any food to have as it was not being topped up quick enough. We had a coffee and went to a cafe outside the Hotel. I would use this hotel to sleep in again,but would not use the breakfast restaurant again or the bar. One more thing that is great if your a fish lover, the main evening restaurant is the best i have ever eaten in, Fresh fish and made to order. They had a glass cold room with a man preparing the fish as the chef needed it. So only gave 3 stars as bar staff and moving the car without asking are not good.

Stayed here in June for 3 nights. Planned with some friends to do a champagne weekend break. Basing ourselves here was ideal. Here's the good bits: Great location in the centre of Reims - loads of restaurants on the door step, catherdral a few minutes walk away. We booked the carpark on site beforehand (its a small area and you leave the keys at reception so they can move the car if neccessary). Our friends have a 4x4 and parked in the public carpark which was opposite the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean rooms and public areas with a modern decor. Rooms were a good size, had free wifi, hot shower, comfy bed and pillows, safe, kettle, hairdryer, iron, fridge, tv and effective aircon. We booked a couple of wine tours a month before we went - one was at Taittinger and we walked there from the hotel (took half an hour). Another was through Cris Event (can highly recommend) and we were collected from the hotel. Ate one evening meal at the hotel restautrant and it was very, very good. Can highly recommend even if youre not a guest staying here. I really can't recall any negatives,

We had a lovely room that was good value and quite large. The breakfast was good but the best aspect was the cocktail bar and really comes to life in the evening. Great service and great cocktails.......and some late nights.

We were only staying one night as part of a drive to Italy. Car park is very tight but has Tesla chargers so allowed us to head to our next stop with a full charge, the bay was reserved for us by the hotel staff. clean, and central, I would stay here again

Stayed in a deluxe room. Found the hotel to be comfortable but the rooms a little tired. Appreciated the room had a walk in shower. There is a lively and popular bar at the hotel although the prices for champagne are quite high for Reims. Laundry broke a button on my shirt. Hotel provide a credit, but will cost more than credit to get repaired. Not happy with resolution. Small gym with older Technogym equipment was alright. Small indoor pool.

Sadly we were only staying one night as part of a two day visit to the Champagne region. This is a bright, modern hotel with fantastic facilities. Easy walking distance to bars and restaurants and the amazing cathedral. Would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

We have stayed in this hotel on at least 4 other occasions and have been very impressed by the hotel, it's staff, and restaurant.On this occasion someone forgot to wash the mushrooms. Previous experience and the fact that we accept “ S*** sometimes happens”.Means we would not hesitate to use this hotel again.

This hotel was a perfect base for me to celebrate my 50th birthday with a group of friends. The service in the hotel is excellent, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. It is a lovely hotel and managed very well. Spacious rooms and well kept. I would like to thank Betty in the reception team for being so kind and booking all the transportation for us on Friday and Saturday night – it all worked perfectly thank you. Alex on reception- thank you for being so kind and arranging for our amenities to be delivered to our friends rooms, so helpful thank you. To all staff Having stayed one night with you was not enough! The staff are extremely professional and very welcoming at the front desk. The setting is stunning with beautiful rooms which were immaculate (excellent housekeeping) breakfast was spot on and again friendly and professional service was received from the waiting staff I would highly recommend this establishment for business or leisure. The bar offers a relaxing atmosphere for anyone just joining for drinks five stars to you all.

The hotel de la Paix is perfectly located in the centre of Reims. Once again we chose this hotel from TA reviews and overall we enjoyed our four nights here, for the following reasons: Close to Gare Reims and easily walked: 400 metres or seven minutes approx Courteous staff: front of house, bar, breakfast, room The concierge let us into our room early: great. Our standard double room was a good size for us, a nice bathroom and quiet Fridge AC and windows you can open to let in some fresh air Three efficient lifts, two one end and another at the opposite end of our floor. A nice bar area with a lovely courtyard outlook We had the Express breakfast in the lounge/bar: juice, coffee, croissants for euro 7: good value for us. We used the hotel restaurant La Paix: plat du jour was nice and good value. It's a busy place. The only thing less than satisfactory was the wifi: poor. Wifi is now essential kit for us and in six weeks of travelling through Italy, Switzerland and now France; this is by far the worst. We both have iPhones and iPads: four devices. The hotel system requires separate email addresses for each device: we have four different email addresses as it happens: do you!!! If you're like us and have a number of devices: have a corresponding number of email addresses. Also, the sever disconnects you after inactivity and I lost count of the times we logged in. Nevertheless we liked the hotel. Recommended

A nice hotel in the center of Reims with easy walking to shopping, restaurants and close by to the Champagne winery tours. Also just a few blocks from the Reims train station - easy walk with luggage. Fabulous champagne themed bar. We had a very comfortable room with complimentary breakfast and overlooking the fountains and street cafes. Helpful and attentive staff. Good value!

First of all, I was surprised that the capital of Champagne had so few full-service hotels, and virtually none of the major European or American chains, given the number of tourists visiting the city. This hotel was the best compromise on price, location, and reviews. I will say it was "solid." The public areas need a major facelift (has a modern but dated look and the carpet is truly ragged.) My room was better - spacious, good bed, large and quality bathroom. The front desk staff were helpful and the location is central to everything you'd need in Riems (train station, the cathedral, and the major champagne houses.) This is not, however, a hotel I would "hang out" at for atmosphere. If you want that, maybe look for a B&B type place in the area.

The Hotel de la Paix is a typical chain hotel and is well located in central Reims within walking distance of all the attractions. The restaurant is pretty average (although there are plenty of good places to eat in Reims) but the staff are friendly and secure parking is available.

I stayed there with my friends as a base to explore and enjoy Reims and champagne . The bed was confit in a spacious room with clean bathroom and lovely breakfast Buffet. I ll defenetly recommend It . Next Time I'm in Reims , I'll stay there again.

Hotel is well situated near the centre. Room was basic - bed had been moved to cover a stain on the carpet. Checked in at 5pm - car park was already full. Fortunately there's a good public car park opposite.

Perfectly located. The reception is busy but efficient, we were quickly checked in and were soon in our room after a long car journey. Reserved a car park space by email, with no issues. The room was a good size, with a good size bathroom, as mentioned in a previous review the toiletries are basic, (hair & body wash combined gel), good advise from the reviewer - we took our own toiletries. The restaurant is superb, perfectly cooked food served by wonderful, friendly and helpful waiting staff. Breakfast caters for most, although we were a little confused by the help yourself to tea & coffee one day and wait to be served the next day and we waited and waited and waited. I eventually chased the waitress to politely ask to be served, after watching everyone get served who came in after us and didn't receive a pleasant response - wish I'd stuck to the juice! Never mind... would we stay here again..... definitely.

Our room was very nice, comfy bed & linens. Front desk employees were very kind. The restaurant La Paix, was delicious! And the breakfast buffet very good also. The "Champagne Bar" was very disappointing, very slow service and they serve only ONE champagne by the glass, go to a neighboring wine bar instead.

Nice hotel in city centre benefiting from being very close to the Cathedral. The hotel also has its own car park which is useful in Reims were parking is limited - you have to book and it is 14 euros per night. Hotel is modern with clean rooms which are spacious and benefit from having bathrooms with both showers and baths in them. Bed is big an: comfortable, this is in my opinion unusual so for a French hotel, and I would recommend a courtyard room as they are quieter. The hotel also has a swimming pool and a good restaurant which is nice. Only criticism is that bedroom internet wifi is very very slow and service in bar is mediocre. Staff seem to be over busy and customers suffer from bad service as a result. Good hotel with friendly staff..

Located right in the center of things, and I can't say enough about this hotel. Modern and in good taste, which makes all of the amenities convenient for travelers. Some examples: a large bathtub plus an extra-sized walk-in shower, very large hallways with nice art on the walls and attractive lighting, and plenty of space in the bedroom to unpack your belongings. I'm in room 444, in the front of the building with a curving corner window at least 25 feet wide. Heavy curtains block out light at night, so don't worry about that. Even though our room faces the street, there was little noise at night. The breakfast is of very high quality. You'll notice that in the croissants, but be sure to try the pain d'espice of Reims, a slice of the local spice bread much imitated but never as toothsome as the real thing.

Can't really fault this hotel. It's right in the centre of Reims within walking distance of everything. Car parking should be booked in advance and then you get a space under the hotel. Our room was spacious, spotless and really comfortable. The bar was a lovely space for a pre-dinner drink.

This hotel is excellent with secure underground carparking (£12/night) and is very conveniently situated for the cathedral etc. The room was comfortable and quiet and they serve an excellent breakfast. The evening meal is in a different restaurant, attached to the hotel, and booking is advisable. It serves top-quality food and the service was excellent.

We had less than 24 hrs. to spend in Reims, so we chose this hotel because of its proximity to the train station and the Cathedral. Couldn't have done better! It's just off the main, pedestrianized street where you'll find tons of restaurants, most with large outdoor seating areas. Enjoy the beautiful night while eating outside. The Cathedral and the beautiful Carnegie Library are just a quick walk from the hotel. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of variety. We had a large room with a view of the courtyard, so it was very quiet. The shower was a stall shower, which to me is a bonus in France, although there was also a bathtub and handheld shower for those who prefer that mess!

A favourite hotel of ours in the very centre of the city. Close to the museums, the wonderful cathedral and the opera. The room was an excellent size with every modern facility and a very comfortable bed. The only criticism is that housekeeping were less than generous with the in-room drinks i.e. coffee. A coffee machine is provided but few capsules and only 2 portions of granules. Milk was 2 small tubs of long-life. The restaurant is very good value though it is essential to book a table before arrival, especially on a weekend. The hotel provides excellent secure parking at only €14 a night. Anyone staying in Reims should certainly have this hotel amongst their top options.

Hotel is at the city center which makes it very convenient for 2 – 3 night visit. We have booked Privilege room. Room is very good in size, but small window makes the room small and dark. Anyway, for 2 nights, we found it just fine. Hotel has nice small indoor swimming pool which was an excellent time out for our 8-year old daughter. Special thanks goes to the front desk staff who were very polite and helpful. If you are arriving by car, make the parking space reservation ahead. Otherwise you can park in public garage across the street, which is also ok. All in all, this hotel was a good find and I would recommend it to all travelers looking for excellent location.

We had actually booked another property and it was so disappointing we left ones for another and chose this one. We got a good price from the internet which the hotel reception honoured, even upgrading us which we so appreciated after having paid for the other accommodation which was awful. Vincent at reception deserves special mention - thank you for being so friendly and helpful. The room was really large, air con was awesome (it was over 30 degs outside) and breakfast was included (excellent breakfast and again, very helpful and friendly staff). Very good location with a pedestrian piazza strip literally around the corner with good restaurants and shops. (You have to try the gelato!). We highly recommend this hotel for the reasons I lay out here.

We stayed here on the way down to nice. We booked it for a) family room b) secure parking c) central location d) swimming pool for the kids to let off steam. It had very clean and secure parking. It's location is central. Unfortunately it's pool is tiny and was full of people just standing around (too small to swim I suppose) so we didn't dare let the kids go in it. The family room was clean but it wasn't great. It has one large room with a double bed and ensuite bathroom. Then another very small room with a small double bed and the only wardrobe space. Our children don't normally share a bed and it took forever to get them to sleep. Also for a longer stay one small cupboard in this room seems awkward. The front desk staff were very helpful but the only solution was two adjoining rooms- which they didn't have and were obviously more expensive. The buffet breakfast is excellent. If you are eating dinner out also note most restaurants don't open til 7.

We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and the hotel upgraded us to a balcony room and also gave us a complimentary glass of Champagne each. The Hotel is in a prime position near all the shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. Our room overlooked the rooftops of Reims and was clean and very comfortable.

This hotel is in the center of town. We were able to walk with our rolling bags from the train station - about 10 minutes. The staff were welcoming and all seemed happy to be working there. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel and the service. The rooms we had was small yet comfortable. From our window we could see the tops of old buildings in Reims and the window opened for fresh air. When the staff tell you that their restaurant is one of the best in town, they're not kidding. We had a wonderful meal at Restaurant De La Paix which links to the hotel but also has a front on the city's "restaurant row."

I guess this is probably about the fourth time that we have stayed in the Hotel de La Paix and it is still as good as ever. The location in the heart of Reims is ideal - very central and yet surprisingly easy to reach from the Motorway. Of course, being in the centre of town, if driving you will need to avail yourself of the Hotel Underground Car Park, but at €14 a night, this is very reasonably priced (and very secure). The hotel is dog-friendly and there are several parks nearby for exercising. Our room for three was right next to the lift, but we couldn't hear any noise all night. The room was functionally furnished with a small sofa bed, a bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower cubicle and the toilet in a separate area (very common in French Hotels). Taken as a whole, the room was quite adequate for our overnight stopover needs. The communal areas of the Hotel are very pleasant - it does have a small indoor pool, a gym (didn't get to see either though) and a really nice bar area with a courtyard terrace. Naturally enough, being in Reims the drink of choice was Champagne which on the night in question was Tattinger (very pleasant) and was reasonably priced at €12.50 for a generous glass. All the staff at the Hotel were really pleasant / helpful. I am sure that we will be back again soon...

I have never stayed in a Best Western Hotel before and my expectations were modest but i was greatly surprised. The room was spacious, with a king bed, a separate living room area, dining area and a widowed "alcove" overlooking the outdoor seating lounge. Parking was easy and secure, the staff was friendly, welcoming and eager to please.

Stayed for 3 nights as family of five - excellent hotel.! Modern twist in an old building. Great location, can walk to old town. Swimming pool and sunbathing are great retreat. Good bar, and restaurant. Would definitely return and thoroughly recommend

The hotel is a beautiful building merging an old convent and modern architecture. Subtle élégance in every detail: from the bar to the swimming pool, to the rooms with view on the garden. Modern design and warm touches. A lovely restaurant with outdoor table on the street full of life (best to reserve your table on time on we, locals also like it). Reasonable Priced menu with wide choice. Close to city attractions, ideally located for shopping. We loved every minute there.

Location is excellent. Shops and restaurants just around the corner and 5min walk to train station. Room was clean and decoration was really nice. Bed and pillows were perfect for my taste. Staff was extremely helpful and spoke good English. They also booked us a winery tour with a special price. We will come back!

Wonderful room, excellent staff, newly refurbished Bar , Restaurant great! The new bar must have cost thousands of Euros! Staff on hand to toss the Champane bottles - empty I should say! My Wife is disabled and the help in the Hotel is exemplary. Special Parking for the underground carpark.

This hotel is right in the city centre, 5 minutes away from the cathedral. The hotel has its own parking, but a public parking garage is also opposite the hotel. I had a modern room (136), with two single beds, and a small seating area. Behind the bed is a little desk and the entry to the bathroom (which features a shower - with rainshower) and a sink, no bath. The toilet is in a separate area, next to the entrace, which I prefer. The room was quiet. The hotel has a nice bar (inside and outside in a courtyard) - for the mojito a bit more rum could be used. The hotel also has a small gym (not too much equipment), and nice sauna and small swimming pool. Sufficient to wind down after a busy day. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Breskfast buffet has sufficient choice.

Before booking this hotel I had a question about the parking/security and received an almost immediate response so proceeded to book. Arrived at the hotel car park and once we had entered Alex came down to advise where to park etc. Check in and check out were swift and painless. Great service in the bar and really enjoyed the breakfast. Room was on the small side but perfectly adequate for what we needed and tbh I don't expect much more in cities where space is at a premium. Loved the shower room (and the design on the door) and was nice to have a separate toilet. All very clean. The pool and gym area were small but good - we went down early morning when it was quiet but noticed it was very busy in the early evening with the families making use. If you want to use the sauna you have to let reception know - possibly later in the day this is always on but wasn't at 8am...... Would highly recommend.

Regular visitor here - why? Location is perfect, parking (book in advance), bar is great, has a new lunch casual cafe, lots of outside seating, the pool, great restaurant attached, front of house staff good (this time round including one young French speaking Englishman). The Champagne list is huge, the cocktails and entertaining bar staff provide entertainment. Rooms are good, we prefer the larger deluxe rooms with bath and shower. Breakfast is ok but I'm a fussy one there. If you stay here it is literally a 2 minute walk to the centre and maybe 8 to the cathedral, obviously tourists come here for the surrounding champagne houses, the roads out of town are empty so great for cycling, motorcycling or cruising around the Champagne route in your car buying here and there! Sometimes the kids come and sometimes they stay at home.

Stayed here a couple of nights in order to see what Reims had to offer and of course to savoir the Champagne. Hotel is in a great location, good onsite secure parking, nice modern rooms and a good restaurant attached. Overall very satisfied with our stay and the service provided. My only criticism would be of the bar staff in the very nice looking bar, perhaps they were bored (it was not particularly busy!) but the male bar staff seemed more interested in practicing their cocktail bottle throwing antics than serving paying guests. In the end we gave up getting a second round and went elsewhere. Overall though a really good base for any stay in this area

Hotel has a great location and the staff is very friendly. Public areas look nice as well and breakfast was OK. We were however given a very disappointing room; small, hardly any daylight because of a super tiny window and it seemed outdated.

This is a great hôtel with an excellent central location, a very pleasant and professional staff, very nice rooms, beautiful buffet breakfast. There is an old convent church, used nowadays as a conference center, overlooking an exquisite garden.The combination of the old stones and the modern buildings where you find a great bar is stunning. I should also mention a huge indoor pool. Born and raised in Reims, this is where I stay whenever I return to my hometown,

This hotel was a solid four stars. It was not luxurious, but it was clean and a great location in Reims. Breakfast was nice and very convenient. My only complaints were the lack of lighting in bathroom and construction noise during the day. This was not an issue while we were sleeping, but during the day the noise was pretty annoying.

The room was smaller medium but very comfortable and well equipped. There was a 46" TV with several channels available. The hotel WiFi has to be logged into every time and seems to limit access to data hungry sites like YouTube but is OK for simple things like emails. The bathroom is fitted with top of the range Hans Grohe taps and shower which all work very well. The breakfast only has a few choices but they were what I like and was very happy with it. Except that the streaky bacon had a bit too much fat on it. But overall very good indeed. It is all self service. The room has separate heating and cooling. As a heating engineer it was fairly easy for me to operate but might be more difficult for some others. Very conveniently situated in the centre but has a car park although probably quite expensive as parking is at a premium in this city. All in all I was very pleased with the hotel and it's facilities.

Good location, we had a good size room, efficient staff, good bar nice cocktails, good buffet breakfast - although a bit expensive. Situated near centre ideal for wandering out to eat and visiting the cathedral. Seems to be favoured by a lot of British.

Spent last night at this dog and electric car friendly hotel ; also had dinner at their seafood restaurant. Got a room right next to the elevator but had no noise issue what so ever. We basically booked this hotel due to the location and their private underground parking with the space for charging our electric car. Easy walk to the Cathedral with many high street stores around the corner. The only complaint is that breakfast at 17 euro per head is too steep but otherwise , we would definitely return.

This hotel was right in the centre of Reims a few minutes walk to many bars and restaurants. The hotel itself was very nice , the bathroom was spacious and clean . The air conditioning was slightly better than the usual hotel standard. There is also a pool as an additional benefit. All in all a very nice hotel although a bit pricey but considering its location it is what it is. Would we return? possibly

While this hotel-- being a Best Western-- was better than expected, it still is a Best Western. The rooms are OK for the price paid. . . but they are nothing to write home about. Probably the "saving grace" to the property are its common areas. The bar was nice, and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby and breakfast area outside are really very nice. You just have to expect bedrooms that are clean. . . but nothing really special. Great location near some really nice restaurants. Easy access to local and area champagne houses. Easy walking to the Cathedral, etc.

Very nice hotel located right in town and walking distance from the train station.  We booked a superior room.  It was modern, spacious, and clean.  The AC worked but wasn't very cool.  The wifi was not that great. Sometimes it worked but most of the time it did not.  We did not use very many of the amenities.  Only the gym which didn't have much and was not air conditioned.  For being 90+ degrees when we were there, it was like working out in a sauna. The hotel itself deserves 4-stars.  However, the service does not.  I typically don't trust other people to book anything for me.  Two months prior to our trip I was emailing back and forth with Christophe; the Head of Reception, to book three champagne tours.  He confirmed that we were all set to go.  We checked in to each of our champagne tours to find out our names were not on any of the lists.  Thank goodness it was a weekday and they had room for us on the tours.  You can imagine how upset we would be if we travelled all this way and were not able to get to see any of the champagne houses.  The only positive that came out of this was that we received a discount at GH Mumm and Pommery for booking through the hotel.  Taittinger did not offer a discount. We took taxi's to the champagne houses as it was 90+ degrees out - a bit too hot to walk. 

Very large, busy major hotel chain hotel. Clean, modern room. Wifi. Kettle in the room but did not use it. Very good service at front desk, restaurant, bar and breakfast. Enjoyed our stay although I found the room itself dark and too small for a 5 day stay but the location and staff made up for that.

Stayed one night this week. Hotel was easy to find from the motorway, even though it was in the city centre. Good parking beneath the hotel. Room was typical of major hotel chain, clean and functional. Staff were helpful. We will stay here again - we normally stay at a different hotel when passing through Reims.

A very nice hotel in central Reims with great rooms, modern decor, and hospitable service. We very much enjoyed our pitstop here while driving through Champagne and would certainly recommend for anyone staying in Reims, especially for the price to quality ratio.

I was a little worried b/c this is a Best Western but it was a very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished. The staff was helpful. The location was amazing - 10 min walk from the train station and right in the heart of Reims. I would highly recommend. This is probably the nicest hotel in downtown Reims.

This is a very nice hotel situated in a great location in the city. The internal decor is very nice, the rooms are spotless and well presented and the restaurants and bars are also very good. However, the quality of service is what defines this hotel. The service was exceptional from the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out. Staff really wanted to go above and beyond to help out. It certainly helped make our visit memorable. We would definitely return.

No better location in Reims walking distance from the train station and to all the main attractions and shops Tip - if travelling from Paris ( CDG) book the fast train to Reims online before you arrive as they get fully booked ( sitting only ). Hotel staff are first class - but worth going out for breakfast l' apostrophe around the corner is great value and breakfast excellent. The hotel bar is a good night spot and excellent range of champagne

A very nice hotel with equally nice cozy rooms and its right smack in the middle of the town where all the cafes and bars are. #Winning The service was awesome as the staff mostly spoke English and were very helpful. I only stayed for a night and was barely in the room (the bars had to be visited). My room overlooked the street!!! NICE!

We have stayed here many times and always enjoyed the experience. This time we decided to treat ourselves to a privilege room. There are one or two gripes regarding the room; there is a purple glass panel between the bathroom and the bedroom, very arty, but if you go into the bathroom at night and turn on the light it floods the bedroom with purple light, not very restful for anyone trying to sleep! There are no hooks for hanging clothes while you are showering, the only one is above the bath and is too high for most people to reach. The only tea offered on the t and c tray is green tea(not to everyone's taste) some breakfast tea would be nice(you don't always want to call reception early in the morning for this sort of problem!). Other than that the stay was great, the staff are always helpful and welcoming.

My wife and I arrived at the hotel on a hot June afternoon, and were able to temporarily park our motorbikes just off the road directly outside the hotel main entrance, whilst we checked in. We were greeted by a very helpful and friendly young Englishman, Alex, who very helpfully subsequently met us in the underground parking garage with a luggage trolley. Great service! Our two night stay was most enjoyable in a well appointed and very clean 5th floor room with views of the towers of the city's Notre Dame cathedral. We found, on the whole, service and staff to be most helpful. We would certainly consider returning to this hotel in this lovely city.

We stayed at this Best Western while in the area for a 3 day Champagne tour. Great location. Just a short walk to the main thoroughfare where there are so many places to eat and drink. Was a public holiday when we arrived and the place was full of people out to enjoy the evening. Hotel was very comfortable, staff helpful and friendly, and facilities very good. Great breakfast.

You just can't beat this hotels location. Right in the hub of this marvellous city. Has a small private underground car park. Hotel itself has a lovely bar, large outside courtyard seating area and impressive dining room. Sevice is generally very good. Room was a little small probably worth paying for the slighty larger option however room was well equipped and very clean. Shower was excellent. Bed comfortable. Location and overall quality means that this hotel offers superb value. Highly recommended.

Modern, well appointed hotel with unusually helpful staff, and spacious, well-appointed rooms. Attractive bar and terrace. Excellent breakfast buffet with first-rate service. Also has an attached brasserie with very good food. Highly recommended, its the best hotel in the centre of Reims!

My two sisters and I spent the night of May 27th at this hotel, having great expectations given the reviews I read online. Just to help you set realistic expectations the pool is very small and nothing like the pictures on the web, and the expensive breakfast, does offer a variety of food, but of poor quality, and forget the cappuccino or the please, thank you and Mrs. The worst thing about this hotel is his personnel and management. Even if the hotel website advertises that the hotel has undergone massive renovation (reason why we picked it) we must have been given one of the room in the section that was not renovated as it was quite outdated and had that old dirty carpet. We booked a room for three, but the third bed was really a couch. The room only had pillows, slippers and towels for two so we had to ask for more, but up to that moment we were not pleased, but still ok to stay. The worst came at night and then the next morning. As we were getting ready to go to bed one of us found some bugs in her bed, we called housekeeping that changed the sheet (not the comforter) but did not offer us to change room. Our neighbors were very noisy and we called the concierge complaining but still we were up till 2 o'clock. When the next day we went to complain and asked to talked to the general manager he was very unpolite and unprofessional. Instead of being apologetic for what happened he told us that this are normal things that happen, and that we must have noisy neighbors and bugs in our house as well. Finally, he told us that we just complained like every American (by the way we are not even American) because we use an American Express and we are allow to do so, but that he does not care and that we deserve no special treatment. I hope my review will help the many travelers that rely on reviews like me to make a better choice.

This hotel is very large but I found that the rooms were very quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was also very nice, with both a bathtub and rain shower. I stayed here after being adventurous and staying in a houseboat (through AirBNB) a few nights and this bathroom heaven on earth. The location is also very convenient to restaurants, cafes, stores and the train station. My friends and I were able to walk from the train station to the hotel.

Our second visit to this hotel (came a year ago), location is great for central Reims and nearby restaurants, bars etc. Very good modern rooms. Parking at hotel needs to be booked €14 per day and is quite tight for a large vehicle, but manageable with care and preferable to looking elsewhere. Breakfasts are okay, but on this visit, the service at Champagne Bar was less than desirable !

We stayed for one night on our way home from visiting friends - Location was great as our time was limited, well worth paying the extra for parking. The room was good although small was adequate and very well though out from a women's point of view great layout for the mirror and plugs even had uk three prong socket. The bathroom was bright and everything to hand even a large open shower, and opening window to clear any steam quickly to enable you to put your make up on, and great to leave open for fresh air on a night , plenty of towels two. Location could not have been better so close to a diverse of restaurants and for the Champagne Houses, the Mumm is well worth the 25 min walk

We stayed here for one night at the beginning of our tour. The hotel is easy to find and we had reserved a parking space however we were informed they had all gone and we had to park in the public carpark which is situation just across the road. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff helpful. THe hotel is a two minute walk from the main street with bars and restaurants.

We have stayed at this hotel for small breaks and overnight on the way home from vacation or on the way to. On each stay staff are friendly and will bend over backwards to help you. Parking is available at a rate of 24Euro overnight, but if fully booked there is parking across the road at 17euro overnight and is safe. Invalid parking is available at both. Breakfast is good and caters for full breakfast at 17e per person, express breakfast for 7euro which is basic with tea/coffee and croissant/pan au chocolate. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and quiet. no issues on the 5 times we have stayed here. Good clean rooms, good sized bathrooms. Tea and coffee making provision, but make sure you go across the road to the supermarket for milk, as the carton ones provided are poor They do have a restaurant, but never eaten here, as there is more selection in the main square and competitively priced We have had evening drinks in the courtyard most nights and they have a good selection of soft drinks, beers and of course Champagne and are reasonably priced. Great place to stay, easy access from the AutoRoute and has good invalid access and assistance when needed.

We managed to book two rooms about two months before our trip over the Bank Holiday weekend in May. It's easy to drive to and to find and there is a multi storey car park in the indoor shopping centre opposite. It is 16 Euro a day to park there. The hotel is centrally located and you can walk around Reims from there. The rooms are spacious and nice large bathrooms with walk in shower, bath and hair dryers etc. Rooms air conditioned. Our booking was room only but you can purchase a continental breakfast in the hotel cafe or pop outside to the numerous restaurants nearby. There is even a McDonalds in town ?. It has a pleasant bar and courtyard area and the swimming pool has the top end of the courtyard as its lounge area. We asked if we could have dinner in the hotel cafe any evening of our stay but it was fully booked so we had to eat out but that was fine.

Very large hotel, positioned in central Reims. Large, comfortable rooms with sexy bathrooms. All the rooms appear to be different but mine was fantastic with a small balcony looking over the pedestrian area and ver quiet. The staff I encountered spoke enough English to get what I needed. Breakfast was plentiful and can be taken in several different areas.

The room - The room was spacious, considering it's in France, where rooms tend to run small compared to American standards. Nicely equipped bathroom with a tub and a shower. Tub was deep enough to cover everything. Bed was very firm. Good pillows. Every door hinge on our floor needed oiling. They squeaked every time it was opened and closed. Other than really squeaky doors, it was very quiet. Parking was 14Euro, but attached to the hotel, which made it very convenient and worth the price. There is a public parking garage across the street, but the per day price was about the same as the hotel. The location - great location, near the center of town. Very walkable with lots of shops and a huge variety of restaurants and nightlife.

Driving a rental car to this hotel after overnight flight to CDG airport, we were puzzled by on and off dashboard signal lights. After mentioning this to the hotel front desk, one fellow immediately followed me to my car in the underground garage. Flipping through the French car manual, he suggested that it was a radar related safety feature and had no connection to the running and performance of the car. The staffs at this hotel really go the extra mile to serve their customers. The hotel is located at the d'erlon place which is a major intersection full of restaurants and brasseries. We had a small but extremely clean room at the eighth floor facing the Reims cathedral and overlooking the Sube statue. The hotel amenities are good by French standard. Although our room is facing the street, it wasn't very noisy as most eateries are on the other side of the intersection. The underground parking is a good feature, but it has to be reserved early. If you come by car from the south, the entrance is right next to the hotel. Park your car there temporarily until you check in with the front desk. Reims is a beautiful mid-sized city. The Joan of Arc festival taking place during our stay made our visit more fun, in addition of all the bubblies. If ever we visit Reims again, the de la Paix hotel will be our choice hotel again.

I stayed in this hotel during a business trip. The room was very nice and clean, I loved the bathroom also. The breakfast was good, the bar was modern, however the cocktails was nothing especial. All in all, I had a really good relax time after the busy days.

Spent the weekend at the De La Paix, very nice hotel in great location to stroll around town. Reasonable sized rooms, breakfast buffet well stocked and very helpful staff. Champagne Houses are within a few minutes drive and lots of fantastic Brasserie style restraunts within easy walking distance. Small indoor pool with sun loungers both indoor or on patio outside. Approx 1hr 20 mins from CDG by car, 2 tolls to pay.. Debit/ credit cards accepted. Parking either in hotel (book in advance) or across the road in shopping centre - price approx the same.

Very nice hotel. The room was a bit small but extremely comfortable. There was a tiny balcony (just large enough for one person to stand!) located off the bathroom which was odd. The hotel is in a beautiful area with an easy walk to lots of restaurants and cafes.

The Hotel de la Paix has everything you would want in a city hotel -- spacious and attractively decorated rooms, a fine breakfast buffet, garage (but spaces somewhat limited -- book with your room), first-rate service and a convenient downtown location on an elegant street near fine restaurants and sites of interest. We only spent one night there but next time it will be more. The distance from CDG is short enough so you can plan on leaving directly from Reims to get your return flight home, which we plan for our next trip.

Stayed for 2 nights, reception staff were very friendly from the start. Sorted out maps for the area, bus maps and gave advice on getting around. Room was large, very clean and very comfortable. Bathroom clean and bright, seperate area for loo & shower. Toiletries were minimal though. Breakfast room & buffet were both large..buffet had a really good choice, many many things to choose between. Hot/cold/pastries/pancakes/cereal, juices etc.. Lovely courtyard to sit and have a drink, large bar area too. Pool, steam & sauna a bonus after a long morning walking around the City Centre. Parking is 7 euros a day but worth it. Location was brilliant. Hotel is a must if you come to stay in Reims.

This hotel is bang slap in the middle of Reims, near the station, restaurants and the Cathedral. Reception staff are nice and helpful, the rooms are large and well appointed. We loved the bathroom with a bath and walk in shower. Our room faced the street but even with the window open there was very little traffic. In addition the hotel has an underground car park. The 14 euros a day is a worth while investment as on street parking is difficult. Really good experience and added to our enjoyment of Reims.

This is one of the better hotels we have stayed in. Great large room and even has a window that opens. Wonderful fresh and smart design all through the property. Great courtyard to relax in and fantastic chairs in the bar area. Tried the pool and the steam/sauna rooms too. Sensational location and less than 10 minute walk to the railway station. All staff were very well presented and trained.

We stayed here on two occasions recently as a stop off on our journey from Italy to the UK and back. We were upgraded on both occasions and we were very pleased with everything at the hotel. Beds really comfortable and the family rooms have a connecting room with small double bed, which was perfect for us. We had room service on the way back, as the restaurant was heaving, but unfortunately as room service stops at 11.30, on the way to the UK we were too late due to car trouble and so went to bed hungry. Really like this hotel. We didn't have time to visit, but there is also a pool here.

Centrally located in Reims, walking distance from the Gare de Reims (train station) as well as the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims, the surrounding promenade and shopping district offer a wonderful day and evening atmosphere. The hotel is tastefully decorated, the rooms very comfortable: we stayed in a superior room which included a separate bath-tub and rainfall shower. The staff are very hospitable and accommodated our request on our last day to be able to leave our car parked in the garage past our checkout so that we could continue exploring before leaving Reims that afternoon. In the evenings the restaurant bar was surprisingly lively, though we found the drinks slightly more expensive than could be found in the area. The options at the hotel's breakfast buffet are lackluster, but there are more than enough options for a picturesque French bistro experience along the surrounding streets.

Stayed here back in 2013 and having our previous stay decided to use the hotel again for the second leg of this years champagne odyssey. The hotel now does an express breakfast in addition to the buffet breakfast. We used this on both mornings and found it filling and reasonable priced. The hotel is very comfortable and has a well stocked bar with friendly knowledgeable bar staff and a nice outside sitting area for smokers. I forgot to book the car park but plenty of room when we visited although I'd recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Only slight criticism was a pervasive fishy smell in reception throughout our stay, but nothing to spoil the visit. A good value hotel.

I can see why the Hotel de la Paix is highly popular with fellow travelers. First of all, it is very centrally located (we even had a bird's eye view of the cathedral from our room (see photo). Secondly, the staff is very friendly and attentive to every need - they speak several languages and will be happy to converse in French with English speaking guests who want to practice (unlike just about everyone in Paris who refuses to address foreigners in French with an air of disdain). But I digress... Our rate was inclusive of breakfast, and the buffet served until 11 am was absolutely lavish, make sure to make time to fully enjoy it as it is absolutely worth it. Our room was rather small (typical European size) but comfortable and equipped with everything you may need - free WiFi, TV with remote, safe, etc. The only drawback was the shower configuration, which was not completely enclosed, and therefore tends to splash water all over the place. Finally, in-hotel parking was full, but we were able to park our car in a city owned lot directly across the street for about the same price, so that was no issue. The city of Reims is an absolute jewel which deserves exploring on foot, and the Hotel de la Paix is the ideal place to stay when visiting.

Beautiful location, close to the Cathedral and Congress Center, shops and Champagne region. It is a non-smoking Hotel which we like. Our room was clean and nicely decorated and I could open the windows which I appreciate. The staff friendly and helpful. We had a rental car so parking at the hotel was convenient. We stayed only one night here prior to our family trip which started later that week in Paris but would definitely come back to enjoy the garden and terrace and stay longer.

If you intend to stay in the centre of Reims among all the action, then this is the perfect place for your to stay. Steps away from Place de Erlon, 5 minutes walk to Place Royale and probably 10 minutes walk to the Reims train station and many good restaurants and cafe. A perfect place to stay if you are not expecting too much of luxury as well as not looking our for a budget place,

We enjoyed our stay in Reims at the best Best Western I have ever stayed at. From the chandelier in lobby I could tell this wasn't your typical Best Western in the US. Definitely a solid 4 star hotel. We appreciated the complimentary bottle of water that was replenished daily. This hotel was a great location within a short walking distance to shops and restaurants. The Notre Dame cathedral is also just a 10 minute walk away. It is a little further to some of the champagne houses but we had no trouble walking. The front desk receptionist was extremely friendly and genuinely interested in where we were from. He said we were his first guests from Kansas and he mentioned how he loved Danny Manning. Small world.

This is a great hotel from which to explore central Reims. The front desk check-in process was very efficient. Our room at the rear of the hotel may not have had the best view but it was certainly quiet and comfortable. Given the room rate, I was a little disappointed that soaps and gels were dispensed from wall mounted bottles, such as you find in a Travelodge but, I guess, in this age of environmental awareness, it makes sense. My advice - take your own bathroom toiletries. Breakfast is good and with a wide choice. At €17 it's a little expensive so make the most of it. My only criticism is that in the evening they have a tendency to play the music (if that is what it was) in the bar at such a level that precluded conversation except with your immediate neighbour. This is, no doubt, to attract the younger element into the bar. Those of an older age and without the passion for rap and similar modern musical genres, have to escape to the seating area outside the bar to avoid it.

One of the most efficient hotels in champagne. Location is perfectly right in the middle of Champagne. Room is very comfortable. Toilet is one of the most spacious I'd ever had in this class of hotel. Service is quite sufficient. If you don't need pampering service, this is the right hotel for you.
