"Wonderful Staff!!! Great value!"
Jessica D, 08 Octobre 2018

The lobby was nice and well kept. The reception area had ivy accents on the wall and the ceilings leading up to the elevator had ivy vines as well. It was a nice touch. The staff was welcoming. We had an early check in. The room had a strong perfume smell. It was too much for me. It was the first thing that I noticed. Aside from that, the room was adequate. My aunt forgot the key to her suitcase so we had to call downstairs to cut her lock. They were pretty fast. Then we had lunch at the restaurant. The food was good. We had kare-kare, sisig and pasta. It was a lot of food for the price. It was nicely presented. The staff was attentive and then we got free iced cream. The breakfast, the next morning, had a lot of variety. We got food and drink credit when we checked in for the restaurant next door and we went the next night. The food was wonderful and there was a live band and they sounded great. We were the only one there so it felt like a private show. That same day I sprained my ankle when we went to Ugong cave and our waiter got me ice packs which he refilled once. That was great customer service. I think is name is Choudy. The next day we went island hopping in el nido and I ate something pretty bad, I was sunburned and I had a temperature and I felt fatigued. the next day at breakfast I couldn't eat anything. and one of the staff brought me tea and I didn't even ask for it. They're concerned about their guests. I was grateful for that. He's name is Laurence. I give credit when credit is due. Check out was fast. there's a van hourly that takes guests to the airport. It was convenient.

"Best Western plus , great value for you money"
Bob H, 01 Octobre 2018

This hotel is well located close to the city and airport, the staff are friendly and helpful. It looks like a very new hotel and is value for your money , the rooms are very clean and comfortable . Everything looks new and fresh , if you don't like to have the aircon on you can easily open the windows . The bed and pillows are very comfortable and the rooms are quite large. Breakfast has something for everyone , plenty of different dishes . They offer a free airport pickup and drop off , make sure you email the hotel directly for this service not through the booking site as they won't get your message. The taxi service from the airport is very expensive, it's about 2km or less and they charge 250 pesos. They won't use the meter they all want to bargain.

"Very Very Disappinted"
PiruthvirajP, 14 Septembre 2018

Hi I am from Canada and for the very first time I've stayed in Best Western hotel in Puerto Princesa Philippines. The reason I chose this hotel is lately I've seen lot of Best Western commercials on TV and I thought it is a western brand and it would be a good choice, but I was very disappointed. I mean very disappointed. I usually don't write reviews or comments but this hotel made me write some bad reviews so that Best Western can inform this hotel management to fix the issues and the next guest will not have to go through what I went through. Check-in was good and the staffs were friendly. The first surprise was the room had sort of bad smell. There was no hot water in the shower. It was very very very warm and I had to call the reception couple of times before someone came to look into it. The person said they had individual heating system for each unit and it was set at the max and he can't do anything. I've stayed in many many hotels in the past and most of them were local brands but I was surprised to see there was no hot water in this Best Western which is a western brand. The internet was terrible. It was very very very slow. The very first time I've seen this slow in a hotel. I called the hotel and the person who came to look into it said maybe many people connected to this wifi and it is congested. This hotel was not busy and not too many people was there but the speed was like the dial up speed back in the old days. Even a simple page took long time to load. Every time when there is a power outage I had to call the hotel and they had to reset their routers in their IT room before I can have internet connection. It was a pain and I was counting the days for check-out. The breakfast buffet was terrible too. Not enough choices and one day they even run-out of bread and I am from a western country and didn't have anything else to eat. The next day they run out of croissant. Overall I was very disappointed. I've stayed in other local hotels in other cities before and they were 10 times better in everything and I thought Best Western would be much better than the other local hotels but this was the worst out of all other hotels I stayed here in the Philippines and in my entire life. I hope the management will take this very seriously and fix these issues. I FELT MY MONEY WAS VERY WELL WASTED.

"BUGS BUGS BUGS"
AP-KD-Travels, 10 Septembre 2018

The hotel itself is very well kept and probably one of the nicest in the area. However, my experience, unfortunately was not at all what was expected. According to all the research and reviews, it should have been an amazing stay at the Best Western. We were allowed an early check in which was nice, and the front desk and staff were very friendly. The problem was that our room, when we came back after island hoping was infested with ants. There were ants crawling all over the room, from floor to ceiling, and falling on the bed. They even got into all the food we bought on a tour, for our friends when we got back home. The hotel, first responded to my call about the situation by sending a housekeeper with a can of bug spray (after 30 minutes of waiting). I laughed and said that is not going to cut it, and do you expect me to stay in a toxin filled gas chamber? They then (after another 30 minutes) switched my room. I asked for some sort of rectifying of this in the morning, and was told sorry "we switched your room already, but if you come back we can give you a free massage). So all in all, the place looks nice, but stay at your own risk (or if you are really into ants). Oh, and they did nothing about the 10 dollars worth of food that was thrown away and wasted do to their lack of cleanliness. DO NOT RECOMMEND

"Good choice!!"
Maps460580, 03 Septembre 2018

We been only for 2 nights , but the hotel was more the we expected for the price we paid. Nice stuff and have an amazing sea food restaurant near by. Breakfast is included and has many options. The food quality is good as well .

"The excellent service!!!"
Viktoria A, 30 Août 2018

I and my boyfriend have stayed in the Hotel for 1 day. We have visited 4 islands in Philippines and this hotel is my favorite one. Kindly and friendly staff, perfect service and very tasty breakfast. Our room was big and clean, there was a lot of towels. I like gym and pool here. Thanks for Laurence who offered the best service in the restaurant!)

"Finally A Good Hotel in Puerto Princesa"
SunsetLover0330, 27 Août 2018

Spent three days in the hotel including our conferences. Very good service hotel and also very clean since it's a new place. Location is quiet, a few minutes away from everything. Food althoughis very expensive and just ok in taste.

"good value and location"
warhammer69, 16 Août 2018

This is a neat hotel near some great places to eat. Good access to tours around the place. functional pool, I even did some laps. Breakfast needs CPR though like most places in the Ph. However overall great bang for your buck. I will stay here next time again.

"Nice hotel but"
ajaybast69, 12 Août 2018

So its a nice hotel in a transition city.. most people stay here a day or 2 on way to other places. This is my 2nd visit to city and last to that hotel. Its nice and clean but some of the worst food i have ever had. Pool is very small.. rooms are clean and nice but not worth it. I have stayed at blue lagoon before and highly recomend there 10x better though rooms are not as new but ut is better. What got me irritated about here the most was the pushy bellman.. we dragged our bags from far end to front but he insisted to carry last 2 feet and wanted a tip bad to the point he was pushy. Front desk girls are super sweet but ...

"The best venue in Puerto Princesa for your training and seminars"
rizzakathleen, 05 Août 2018

Whenever I book with BWP for my events, they always give the best and fastest service ever compared to other hotels in town. The training rooms and the meals are the best too. Everything is worth it and the price is very affordable, yet their service is 5 star. I would like to acknowledge as well the great support and service of Ms Kolyne and Sir Laurence. I will definitely book my future events with BWP! :)

"Top class"
edward p, 01 Août 2018

Nice new hotel located in the heart of town and just 10 minutes away from the airport. Spotless throughout with with swimming pool, leisure facilities bar and restaurant. We had four rooms and and all found to consistant in style and standards.Breakfast was also excellent, well presented and plentiful. This is a very professional hotel with terrific smiling staff. The Ivywall hotel may be a bit more expensive than others in the town but for the little extra it made the biggest difference. Palawan is a magical place and this modern hotel has added to the magic.

"Springboard to Palawan sites"
George D, 31 Juillet 2018

I would consider this hotel as an "airport hotel" as travel time from the new Puerto Princesa airport was only 5 minutes. I was still busy typing my first text while on board the van when we suddenly entered the hotel driveway. Cleanliness was average considering it was a relatively new hotel. Room service was prompt. Our room water heater, for some reason, tripped a circuit breaker. Thus, our room had no hot water in the morning. Maintenance quickly responded to our call and corrected the problem in no time. The front desk personnel were likewise very friendly and helpful in answering. Selection at the Breakfast buffet would not be considered expansive but it was tasty, thanks to the presence of celebrity Chef Sau del Rosario who happened to be there for his monthly visit. Though the foreign tourists (mostly Chinese and Korean) would be disappointed in the lack of noodles, dim-sum, and congee. Room rates would be considered average for the region and hotel class. The bottom line....the city of Puerto Princesa, I believe is the gateway to the beautiful sites in Palawan and Best Western + Ivywall hotel, located in the heart of the city serves a good springboard to all these sites.

"Strategically located and accessible to most services"
Dennis S, 30 Juillet 2018

Best Western Plus - The Ivywall Hotel in Puerto Princesa, Palawan is not only 10 minutes away from the Puerto Princesa International Airport, it is also walking distance from restaurants such as Kalui, Kinabuch and a few minutes ride to Captain Ribs, La Terrasse and many more. The rooms are spacious and decorated simply, service is generally good, buffet breakfast offers wide variety, free airport shuttle, altho WIFI is not as strong as advertised during our stay. I will book again at Best Western when I return to Puerto Princesa and will recommend to friends.

"Good"
Vanessa S, 22 Juillet 2018

This hotel was super, clean, neat, everything worked, friendly staff very good breakfast buffet to meet all expectations. Big rooms... enough space...I did not take a picture because it was so nice I relaxed right away, the pictures online are true in this case very nice... only thing the check in times where alsmost 1 hour too late... and no one informed us while waiting... after a teip of 8 hours you just want your rooms...for this reason i dont give it 5 stars...

"New, very clean, attentive staff, free shuttle to airport."
SirGoogle, 20 Juillet 2018

My wife and I used this hotel while travelling back and forth to a wedding on one of the islands. It is new, very clean and the staff are attentive and friendly. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the airport (10 min). The rooms are a good size with air-conditioning. The breakfast is good, as is the in-house restaurant (if you are too tired to explore Puerto Princesa, as there are also some restaurants nearby). Upon return from the wedding we had a day or so extra and used the hotel as a base to take a trip to the underground river - well worth the experience!

"Thankful for discovering this hotel"
Jessilyn L, 18 Juillet 2018

Very nice location. Near to city and major commercial areas. Great restaurants in walking distance. The hotel itself is new, very clean, and good service. Free shuttle to the airport which is only less than 10min away. The rooms are big and family room is perfect ! Highly recommended to those going to Puerto Princesa.

"Perfect"
Vena C, 11 Juillet 2018

Staff friendly and helpful, especially the guards! Breakfast really great with a lot of choices. I suggest not to eat in their Anibong restaurant, food took forever before it was served eventhou there were only 2 tables that time... but their sinigang is a blast.

"What a disappointment july 8 2018"
beccaham, 07 Juillet 2018

After we were rained out of our beach vacation we decided to salvage the 4 days we had left by staying in Puerto Princesa. Having lived the last year in Asia I was homesick for some western accommodations and familiarities. We had hoped to spend all remaining time at the best western but they were booked up and we could only get 1 night there. We stayed at fersal up the road which was nice and pretty competitive, but broke up our stay just to have 1 night at the best western and get a sense of home. When we got here there were a couple of guests already checking in ahead of us. The guy in front of us had just barely booked through agoda an hour before he arrived. He had mentioned it was his first time using agoda and was nervous about it. The lady looked for his reservation and couldn't find anything. We chatted while she finished the check-in process and then a bell hop showed them to their room. The couple next to us experienced similar check in. When we go to check in the lady had no problem finding our reservation but said we needed to pay her 2000 cash for "incidentals". When I questioned her about that she said it was her policy. I brought up that we just watched multiple guest check-in and none of them had to pay for cash anything. She just kept repeatedly lying. First she said that he was a frequent guest and that's why (lie, this was his first time to PP), then she said that his was paid in advanced. And I stated that all of our stuff had been paid in advance as well. She finally said "well fine but that if we want anything from the restaurant we would need to pay for it at the time" (duh). Then tells us we need to wait 40 mins for our room, even though we had been booked well in advanced. So we wait and then she hands us our key and points down the hall rather than having a staff member show us our room like they did for all the guest before. When we get to our room, the door isn't even closed. The sheets have brown marks on them and I wonder if the room was even properly cleaned. Thankfully we are only here for tonight. We will go back to fersal tomorrow. It is definitely more asian style hotel amenities, but at least they have consistently polite service and they don't lie to clients. The only thing that was different between my husband and I and the other couples who checked in at the same time is that we look a lot younger and came in with backpacks instead of suitcases. I'm not sure if she thinks that we are poor and so we won't tip, but her attitude has been the determining factor in me never wanting to return to this hotel. For anyone on the fence, fersal has similar accommodations, sans the carpet and pretentious staff. TVs are better at BW but the customer service is so, so much better at fersal. They also don't discriminate against people.

"Excellent hotel, friendly staff, luxury feel with good facilities and received a free upgrade."
fjtvvliet, 03 Juillet 2018

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We even received a free upgrade upon check-in. Hotel has a high standard/luxury feel. Breakfast buffet, two restaurants, pool with poolbar, gym, wellness facilities, you name it. Hallway to the room and the room itself had thick soft carpet. Very nice feel to it. We loved our room and the hotel and would definitely think about staying here again when visiting Puerto Princesa again! Highly recommended.

"Western standard"
pelle_tyskling, 01 Juillet 2018

A really nice retreat when your tiered of 3rd world living. Everything works and service and facilities are really good. The pool is small and in shade without a view, thats the obly downside I can think of.

"Typical Best Western Hotel"
Shan_the_explorer, 23 Juin 2018

1) Check-in/Check-out—fast 2) Room-spacious, comfortable bed but quite small (queen bed). Bathroom also spacious and we appreciated sufficiently refill of toiletries and water during our 3nights stay. 3) WIFI-fast connection but only applicable to our room. I guess its only applicable per floor only. 4) Breakfast-few variety of food. The scrambled egg texture improved on our 2nd day stay. For sanitary purposes, I didn't like their jam and butter exposed on a bottle and the said bottle remained open the whole time. I didn't took any because of the uncertainty or possibly of parasites already exposed on the jam and butter. I had diarrhea during my stay when i took their service water. The staff in the restaurant confessed that its just filtered water. I dont take any service water during travelling to avoid getting sick and it was only in this hotel that i took service water thinking that this kind of hotel will ONLY SERVE MINERAL WATER. But i was wrong! 5) Customer Service-i would like to commend A) Maricris for being so accommodating to our request and refused to take tip. I just felt bad because I thought she should be rewarded. You're such a sweetheart! B) Ronabel & Pia- for their wonderful service at the Spa C) receptionist-always wore smile on their face and greets us politely every time they see us. I hope the management will REVIEW THEIR SEEVICE. Because i dont get it that they PROVIDE COMPLIMENTARY PICK-UP from the airport BUT WILL CHARGE US Php 500 going to the airport. Will the ROAD GOING TO THE AIRPORT BE LONGER? I don't get the logic. Or you just want to rip off your guests or charge more to earn more? Is that it? I read great reviews about this hotel that staffs provided excellent service and goes up and beyond. Unfortunately, THEY ARE NOT CONSISTENT. When we say EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, IT MUST BE CONSISTENT REGARDLESS OF THE NATIONALITY OR RACE OF YOUR GUESTS. 6) Location- This hotel is just few minutes walk to Ka Lui and Kinabuch's restaurant. There is also convenient store very near the hotel. Airport is just 7mins ride from this hotel. That's why it was a rip off to charge their guests Php 500. Its like a Metro Manila charge going to the airport but more than an hour trip. Such a rip off! Taking tricycle from this hotel was too much too because we were charged Php 100 per trip. Hotel management should look after their guests and report it to the local government. According to the Kinabuch staff that max charge is only Php 50 per trip in the city. I'm not sure if i should recommend this hotel because of the brand (amenities, quality and customer service). I chose this hotel over the other hotel BECAUSE OF ITS BRAND-BEST WESTERN. I expect consistency and quality. But my experience says otherwise. If ever i will be back again to Puerto Prinsesa, i think I would rather try other hotels like HUE HOTEL Or CANVASS BOUTIQUE HOTEL which is actually my first choice. But chose this hotel because of the brand. It was a mistake. I saw CANVASS BOUTIQUE HOTEL is nearer to the airport. I guess tricycle drivers there are not as greedy like those waiting outsider Best Western Plus hotel

"First Visit to Puerto Princesa"
BelleRod29, 22 Juin 2018

Spent 2 nights 3 days here. Was my first stay in PP. This hotel was great and I would stay again and recommend to anyone. Hotel is clean and all of staff were helpful. The Hotel restaurant had exceptional food and their breakfast buffet had a large selection. Pool And gym are a nice size. Poolside bar is great! We utilized their massage services. An hour deep tissue with Hot stones cost 995 php. That price is great. Beds are very comfortable and restroom is moderate size. The staff members who helped me at the desk were always knowledgeable of any and everything I needed. Security wise- I never felt unsafe. Motorcycles can pick you up right outside. No smoking except in designated areas! FREE WIFI! The front door is always opened for you and they really take care of their guests! Location is also great. We visited during their festival which took place 3 blocks down. Markets within walking distance with lots of food and shopping. The Baywalk is a quick 10 minutes via Motorcycle, 50 php. (Around 52.5php to $1)

"Classy Hotel"
Elvie B, 19 Juin 2018

We had celebrated our company anniversary in Ivywall Hotel this month. The service was good. Food was okay, service crew always updates you regarding the status of food, drinks(when will they the beer) etc. The place was attractively unusual because of its interior design. Overall experience was very good.

"Best Quality In El Nido"
diverdm1, 11 Juin 2018

Best quality inn el nido at with my girlfriend and treated very nicely with the excellent buffet breakfast included.. Overall great value for money and attentive friendly staff comfortable beds and spacious rooms, pool, gym, nice bar with live music.

"Recent stay in Best Western"
potpotshay, 11 Juin 2018

The location is very good. Near Kinabuch, 2 min walk, near Kalui, and just beside Ugong rock Breakfast not much of variety, but good enough. Suggest that staff in breakfast area tend to refilling creamer in coffee area. Our 4 days stay, we always ask for refill The room is very new, and very comfortable. Spa has only 2 beds, so you really need to have a schedule for it.We had a very good massage, and one of the best we ever had. Airport shuttle is every hour, so a must is to keep track of your flight schedule, so you can adjust time. You need to consider the security screening in the airport since only one xray scanner is functioning. A ride in a tricycle from hotel to airport costs us 80 pesos Its just a 10 minute drive or less depends on the volume of going to the airport We will checking in here again if we have time.

"A European/American style in philippines"
BoReus, 08 Juin 2018

This was our fourth hotel in philippines. And when I saw the lobby I was so happy! It was the first hotel with “european /USA” facilities we stayed in!!! It is clean, modern, new, ... there's only one thing I didn't like, the breakfast. It looks like wow! But when you see it better there's not much to eat, it is more asian than continental. It is located near from the airport. The hotel has free transport to it. Next to the hotel you have two really good restaurants, kinabuch and kalui. Kalui is better but you have to book a table as it is always full. To have a drink next to the hotel you have “Tikki bar”

"A wonderful experience"
Tommy D, 05 Juin 2018

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff are professional, courteous, and well trained in their positions. The rooms were cleaned promptly every day and the air conditioning was cold and the water hot.

"Best hotel in Puerto Princesa"
Jay J, 03 Juin 2018

I've stayed here on three separate occasions totally maybe 8 or 9 days have nothing but an amazing impression of the hotel and its staff. The accommodations themselves are well appointed and the internet is about as good as you'll get in the Philippines, except for maybe Manila proper. There's a nice pool area and the breakfast spread is excellent and room service prices are reasonable. But what makes the hotel great is the team serving its guests. The front desk staff is efficient, Robert and the other bellhops are wonderful, and the one time I had an issue with my room, the maintenance staff was there right away. When I had returned for my second and third stay, the front desk staff recognized me and had already checked me in for an expedited introduction into the hotel. Pia, the in-house massage therapist, is great, and my massage from her was as good at fixing knots as a high-end spa here in the US. I'll definitely return here in the future.

"Very Nice hotel with excellent service"
Jimmy V, 28 Mai 2018

Very nice design, clean and really serviceminded. They have 2 small souvenir shops in the hotel and a nice little bar and pool area, they offer in house massages and the breakfast was really great with everything from assorted fruits to fried food for breakfast.

"6 stars!"
Ruby A, 28 Mai 2018

we had a great time spending our vacay here! always so excited to dip in our "pool of joy" (3rd flr pool area) whenever we finish our tour for the day. great ambiance and facilities plus ?????? for the whole staff! special mention to our fave bar tender james ( or john? forgot the name though haha!) who gave the best cocktail drink for my friends (but i still prefer my red wine ??). From the Kuya Guards, Shuttle driver and receptionists... and the buffet! just wow! Definitely worth the bucks! ??

"Fantastic Stay"
Andreas K, 28 Mai 2018

We spent 5 days at this hotel and can only recommend it highly. Fantastic nice staff, clean, good food, nice rooms, great Satellite TV, small but great swimming pool and really good breakfast buffet. Pricing is very good and again service and staff are fantastic. If in Puerto Princesa, stay at Best Western Ivy Wall, you won't regret it....

"1 very good night"
Marcelo Z, 22 Mai 2018

Stayed one night at this place, very nice room, friendly staff, awesome banana bread( we bought one), we had even a lunch at the hotel restaurant which is very tasty and affordable. I had a very nice stay at the hotel and looking forward to be there again.

"Had a few issues this trip, but still the best option in P/P"
313beachbum307, 13 Mai 2018

Stayed for 8 nights, second week of April 2018. Have stayed in numerous comparable hotels in Puerto in the past, but this hotel is my go to place while staying in Puerto or transitioning thru P/P. I'm sure you'll see most reviews are almost all favorable, and those are all well earned, I'll hit on ones that are important to me. Prearranged airport pickup was outstanding, driver and van waiting as I exited the nice new terminal, and was inexpensive. What can you say that hasn't been said before about the front desk team. Even with a number of people checking in and out, booking tours, I was in and out quickly and on my way to my room. It's such a pleasure to see a level of excellence as this team reflects day after day from my observation. Breakfast buffet was great as always and with many choices, only issue to note was that a couple of days the fresh brewed coffee was tepid at best. (Sorry Bryan you weren't around on those days). Fresh fruit and the fresh breads are always outstanding, as are the fresh cooked omelets. Pool - great pool with an even a greater asset John the poolside mixologist, was glad to see I was allowed back in after last year henous gathering....."MANGO MADNESS" Have had many good times at this bar. This is just an observation and should not be considered a negative review point. I'd like to see more sun beds around the pool, as you always have self absorbed thoughtless people that throw a towel on the chair and expect to have it saved for hours. After a long day we decided to have dinner at the in house "Anibong" restaurant, for the first time in staying here at least 6 times.....what a treat, best cheese burger ?? and fries I've had in a long time, yeah I know.....step outside the box, but did you really get it....best cheese burger and fries. Wife had the curry chicken, barely got a small taste, excellent review from my wife, happy hour was happening, 2 for 1 need I say more, everything was reasonable priced. There are some great restaurants walking distance from the Ivy tower, but I wouldn't hesitate to sample Anibong in the future again. Rooms are great, great AC, quite, plenty of hot water, hotel is only a couple of years old and the newest hasn't worn off yet. There was some noise from some maintenance ongoing on, but it wasn't that obtrusive, was for short amount of time every now and then. Housekeeping was outstanding, as always. This is not a negative review item though, only an observation, we would hang our towels up each day to be reused, and housekeeping would replace them with clean towels everyday. Which I know some people demand, however we live here on Palawan and know what a precious resource fresh water is, and try to do our little part to preserve what we have. Utilized the laundry services twice with no issues, and it's reasonable priced. Soooooooo towards the rear of the Ivy Tower the've recently added a beautiful new restaurant, bar and deck area.....the Balayong bar & grille, a beautiful facility. We just happened to be there on the weekend that the grand opening party was happening. Lucky us........special shout out to Mr. Yeoh, (Gereral manger) and Mr. Van Den Berg, emphasize on the Berg, aka Bryan, for overseeing a party for hundreds of invited guest, and also making sure any guest that wanted to attend was accommodated. Also have to credit the whole staff, as being the grand opening I imagine this was the first party of its kind, 3 live bands, and the third band was well known from Manila. A lot of people were standing outside the barriers, just to hear the third band. Special thanks again to Bryan for accommodating our table, and whatever that green drink was you shared......thought I was going to turn into the green lantern.......and I'm passing on my comment to Mr. Yeoh, it was at least 90 degree, and very humid that night, and to wearing the suit jacket you and Bryan were sporting had to be a little uncomfortable, as a regular guest I wouldn't mind a classic polo shirt with a unique P/P Ivy Tower logo???? Just a thought. I have my own vehicle, parking is free. There is a new S&M mall maybe 7-8 minutes away by trike. There's always trikes available at the tower. Final thought, in my humble opinion this is best hotel for the price operating in Puerto. My only negative issue is with the internet service, the hotel was at capacity, and things did slow down late afternoon, early evenings. This is something everybody deals with all over the PI. The internet providers are also a big part of the problem. This trip I needed a stable signal as I was a travel escort for a couple groups. I bought a personal Globe internet receiver for 12000p ($27 US) and a load for a month which was 500p. And it worked well for what I needed, especially when l needed goggle maps. I only mention this as an option if you have a unique need, and what the cost might be. Best hotel in Puerto in my opinion!

"Very pleasant stay"
Lisa A, 13 Mai 2018

Best Western plus Ivywall looked after us very well during our stay in PPS. The location was great. The team were very helpful in scheduling our daytrip to the Subterranean River National Park. The location is very handy to some very good restaurant in PPS that we enjoyed within a walk of Best Western plus Ivywall. The pool was certainly a highlight during our stay. After a day out and about, we enjoyed cooling off there! In addition, the breakfast buffet was very nice with a good range of food, all very fresh. Well done to the team who looked after us during our stay.

"Nice new hotel"
Travel3nthusiast, 04 Mai 2018

This is a new hotel, and you can tell it from the state of the facilities. Managed to Western standards (even had foreign managers), it had an incredible breakfast buffet normally seen on foreign hotel. Food prepared fresh and laid out neat. The rooms are roomy and amenities are up to par.

"It could have been a perfect stay"
Alexandre N, 01 Mai 2018

This hotel has everything to be a great hotel. First, the kindness and professionalism of the staff, whatever service you ask they will always answer positively with a smile. Second the location and third the comfort with quiet and well designed rooms. I also tried the Spa, I truly advice as again the guys there are very professional and not even much more expensive than outside (just book before as the demand can be high). Nevertheless 2 things to improve, the Wi-Fi (I don't know if there was a problem during my stay but it was incredibly slow) and the breakfast, honestly a hotel like this one disserve a much better breakfast, at least with more fresh fruits.

"Great experience"
Dunbar56, 28 Avril 2018

We spent two nights at The Ivy Wall. The staff were extremely pleasant, the rooms a decent size and comfortable and good fresh breakfasts. They even have a free airport shuttle. We couldn't fault them.

"Good hotel"
Dodi F, 28 Avril 2018

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel for 4 days.thanks And also thanks Philippines Airlines for safe trip back here in Jakarta. Thumbs up Manila people. Hope to back in Manila for the next business symphosium.

"Quick stay on the way to a liveaboard"
Susan H, 27 Avril 2018

We were planning a dive trip on a liveaboard and needed a place to stay on Friday night prior to heading to the boat. We chose the Best Western Ivywall and I'm glad we did. If I were in the States, I wouldn't stay at a Best Western. However, if the BW hotels in the US were the quality of this hotel, I'd be happy to stay! The staff were very friendly and quickly learned our names. The room and bed were very comfortable, the shower was great. Very impressed with the overall quality of the property. We ate dinner at the Bayalong restaurant (reviewed separately), and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast - the food was delicious. And if you get a chance to try the “four season” juice, do so! Amazing! The hotel pool and bar on the 3rd level is great - shaded during most of the morning until noon, then more of the pool is in sun in the afternoon and early evening. (See photo) The bar staff are not sure of standard drinks - I had to explain how to make a rum and Coke - but were very pleasant and accommodating. And the pool itself was wonderful. Definitely recommend staying here - we'll be back if our travels bring us to Puerto Princesa again.

"Great !"
????? ?, 25 Avril 2018

We spent only one night at The Ivywall Hotel in March. Modern.Large room.Very clean ., Good-sized shower .Very good breakfast . Little but nice indoor pool .The staff were great and very friendly. Close to the airport .Highly recommended!

"Great stay!"
Rob M, 25 Avril 2018

We spent 3 nights at Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel in early April. It's very modern and has many amenities. Our room was large and clean, with a king size bed, a small refrigerator, good-sized shower, tv, and a lot of nice, small touches like toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers and robes. The best part was the included breakfast each morning with varied choices, including made-to-order omelets. We also shared a small pizza one evening in their bar area that was really tasty. All the staff people were great and went out of their way to help us. Highly recommended!

"Great place, clean rooms and good variety breakfast"
alvinewe, 24 Avril 2018

A great hotel in this city. Good location as there is a restaurant just beside the hotel that services nice food. You could take a 15 min walk to some fast food join along the same street. Friendly staff and good decent gym facilities. Comes with a small pool on level 3. Overall a great stay and nice rest after a day of snorkeling outing.

"Great value for the money"
Rick W, 09 Avril 2018

This is a very modern comfortable hotel in a good location. The SM mall is just a short trike ride away. The breakfast was just average. super friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

"Outstanding "
GKOpiah, 09 Avril 2018

We spent 6 night in Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel, the staff are warm and welcoming. It is located at the heart of Puerto Princesa. Less than 15mins from the airport (the hotel provides shuttle that picks up and off drop off guests at the airport), 15mins walk to SM mall, less 30mins to Robinson mall on tricycle and loads of other bars and restaurants around if you feel bored.  We spent evening at the Balayong Grill & Bar which is the hotel's bar which live music and my girlfriend and I will cherish the memory we had in Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel. On a very hot afternoon, we swim at outdoor swimming pool and we had the best cocktail (Blue Hawaiian, try it ;)). During breakfast is a very nice time to catch up with other guests from all over the world, with positives vibes that filled the dining hall. And it's amazing that the hotel manager serves and make sure guests are ok and comfortable. We really enjoyed the tour we booked through the hotel. We ll comeback again.

"Allright but not exciting "
DaveDynamite, 07 Avril 2018

Great location. Airport shuttle. Nice rooms. (Experienced several power outages due to spotty public electricity) Very helpful staff. Pool underwhelming: Very noisy. Loud music. No view. Small. Breakfast buffet ok not exciting. Would recommend when arriving.

"5 star rating for a 4 star hotel"
CBR1234, 03 Avril 2018

Very attentive and courteous staff. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. The staff responded promptly to our requests. We would like to commend Ms. Fatima Bashma for her impeccable service at the restaurant. Food served at breakfast and dinner were well prepared. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

"Comfortable "
RRGT, 31 Mars 2018

Stayed for 3D 2N at the Ivy Wall hotel with my family. We were given adjacent rooms. There was free transfer to and from the airport, which was convenient. Otherwise you would need to take one of the public tricycles. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. WiFi was spotty but free. There were several dining options close by and the new SM mall could be reached by a short tricycle ride. The crew were friendly and responded readily to requests. Breakfast was included in our package and the spread was typical but filling. There were a number of tours on offer but our goal was to make ourselves comfortable in our rooms. Objective achieved!

"Comfortable"
AngusMcQ, 30 Mars 2018

Hotel is very nice, beds comfy. Staff lazy and unresponsive. When we checked in there were no towels. Called and reported then went out. Came back still no towels. Called down and no apology. Breakfast Buffet above average. Location is very convenient.

"Pleasant, helpful staff they should pay more"
corinnet601, 16 Mars 2018

Over a two week stay, I found that the staff continued to be friendly and helpful, despite working 12 hour shifts on their feet, for 6 days a week. The hotel charges their guests more than enough to generate a healthy profit for the shareholders. Some of this excess should be used to allow 8 hour workdays (which is supposed to be a national standard) for the same amount of pay. A portion of the tourist dollars should end up with the local people who serve us.

"Great hotel for the price in the most central location"
Gene K, 16 Mars 2018

Fantastic hotel given its star rating, staff was lovely, facilities are lovely, as good as some five star hotels we have stayed in. The room was well equipped and modern and quiet. The breakfast and room service we ordered was very good quality and at a very reasonable price. The hotel is located right next to many lovely restaurants and in the centre of town. They have a free airport transfer service which is convenient with the airport being so close.

"Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff"
Rolo C, 12 Mars 2018

I stayed here for a business trip and was impressed with the hotel. The room were a great size and the hotel facilities present very well. The staff at check in and restaurant are friendly. It was close to airport for easy access and the rooms are quiet.

"one of the nicer Hotels in Puerto Princessa"
Jacob D, 05 Mars 2018

Very nice Hotel in a good area, room was nice with a view of the "Jungle" that is the Ivy Wall. The staff is very nice and very helpful with arranging the various tours you can go on.The food was good and the Poolside Bar is very nice with a friendly Bartender. The Spa services were good and the Pool is decent.

"Great"
Rosemary .N. L, 03 Mars 2018

Lovely hotel with nice facilities. The staff are very helpful and efficient. Food is good too. Wifi is a bit slow . Otherwise manageable There is a gym and cute pool. Hotel room is quiet . Bed is comfortable.

"Holiday in Palawan "
Peter D, 25 Février 2018

Good times in Best Western. Staff very helpful. Room kept clean and tidy. Great location. Hotel has a great pool area. Looks small from the road but is extends back deeply into the block. Good having a free airport pick up too.

"Good and peace"
alinkwok, 23 Février 2018

It's a good and peaceful place to stay and transit to another place. with comfortable and warmly service here. You could choose here with your family here, it's a really more than 4 stars hotel. But you need a tutu car to get to downtown, it's a little far near it.

"Excellent hotel and professional staff"
vibinguyen, 23 Février 2018

Good hotel and facilities, best location in town, many good restaurant are walking distance here (kalui restaurant worth a try). If glass windows are shiny the hotel is perfect. Kind and friendly staff, security, kitchen and buffet dept..., waitor of the bar on ground floor teven remember which flavour to make your cocktail. Absolutely satisfied!

"Amazing luxury....."
Riaz U, 19 Février 2018

Requested a quiet room and were given a room on the 5th floor away from the hustle and bustle of Floor 3 that houses the swimming pool, spa, bar and other loud activities. The room was par excellence and the service superb. We will be back soon. Salamat Po for a lovely stay. Kathryn & Riaz Unwala

"Warm and touching hotel"
Tsonga L, 19 Février 2018

Always make customer satisfied no matter what you inquiry. When we come back to the hotel, smiling faces will welcome you upon optening the main door. When we sit on the sofa at swimming pool side, they send towels immediately. Our family enjoy a lot during our Chinese New Year vacation. I would think that Ivywall should be the best hotel in Palawan.

"Excellent hotel in convenient location"
stephen w, 19 Février 2018

The hotel is conveniently located, with large rooms, an excellent breakfast, warm and welcoming staff and decent fitness facilities. Made for a very comfortable and convenient overnight stay on a business trip to Puerto.

"Excellent!!!"
Darren M, 19 Février 2018

The rooms are spacious. The ambiance is very luxurious and very classy. It was by far the best hotel of our trip. The staff are professional and fluent in English; the front desk staff and restaurant hosts are especially efficient and attentive. With on-site restaurant, free buffet breakfast, pool, pool bar, massage spa, gym, free business center, and free WiFi, I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and for sure I'll be staying here again in my next trip to Palawan.

"Puerto "
Ron S, 15 Février 2018

Very nice and new facility with clean and well maintained rooms and public area. Excellent staff.... friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast included with room rate. Among the best available at Puerto.

"Massive rooms, friendly staff"
Neil W, 07 Février 2018

The place seemed empty when we went in January. The restaurant was whisper quiet, and there seemed plenty of staff looking for something to do. But it still had that ever-so-faint musk, a trademark of almost every hotel in Asia. The rooms are massive and the room service is really cheap, if you want to try that. The downside is the pool, which is situated in the middle of the hotel, and in a place where the sun hardly gets a chance to shine.

"Fairly up-market hotel in this bustling city"
pju4321, 04 Février 2018

Just 15-20 minutes from the airport the Ivy Wall Best Western has good rooms and facilities. Good selection of breakfast and friendly staff. Reception has no postage stamps ('take a tricycle trip across town') , no change for large notes and no spare cell phone chargers - so not so easy to tip the staff!!

"Nice Hotel"
hussainmunir, 04 Février 2018

It took 15 minutes to reach the hotel from the Puerto Princessa Airport on a scooter cost 70 pesos. The receptionists were friendly and efficient. Upgraded me to a larger room given the floor I had requested. I was very pleased with the size, decor and the standard of the room. Staff was prompt to act when I pointed out an issue. The breakfast bar was very nice. Evening there was several restaurants close by as well as hotels own with live music in all. The only small critoicizm is the breakfast menue was very limited. The checkout was prompt. I liked the location cleanliness and size of the room. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay.

"Excellent hotel"
hoah813, 31 Janvier 2018

The room is really big. They have a Bluetooth speaker to play music. The bed is soft and wide. The restaurant downstairs is excellent and cheap as well - especially italian tasta food But the breakfast is so so, not interested. They have free pick up service between hotel and Puerto airport.

"Great compared to alternatives in PPC"
Blaamand, 23 Janvier 2018

After our first hotel(Panja) didn't live up to the description and photos we were mighty skeptical to this alleged 4 Star hotel. I am very happy to say our skepticism was proven wrong! Sure, it's not like a 4 Star in Europe, but it was clean, everything worked(even WiFi and tv) and their staff was good. Looking for a hotel in Puerto Princesa City? This is the one!

"Great Value and Location - Well run Hotel"
hrosencpa, 23 Janvier 2018

This hotel is well run and their employees are very customer oriented. It is clean, modern and well situated close to the airport and on Rizal Ave., but we never heard any noise from the airport. The do offer a complementary shuttle to and from the airport. The outdoor cafe is very good. We had the Chef's seafood special for two (also available for four) twice and it was excellent! I had looked at several other hotels but they seemed to be hidden on back roads and alleys. We actually ended up on our two tours picking up guests at several of them, and we were very glad that we were staying at the Best Western!

"Beautiful experience"
TAMATEMO, 21 Janvier 2018

Good price and new hotel .. it's near from the airport and they have shuttle .. there are some ants in the toilet and not more choices in the breakfast .. overall .. good experience and good choice in this city

"What a difference a year makes!!!"
GBR666, 19 Janvier 2018

Well not that much difference actually. We stayed in this hotel almost year ago and liked it so much that we visited again for a 5 day break this month (January). It's still a very reasonable hotel with great location and very good value overall, but we had a few disappointments this time. On our first visit we were impressed by the quality of food and restaurant service. This time (although there is a second restaurant opened which we didn't try) the standard in the main restaurant had slipped somewhat, and when we (twice) had a poor dining experience there appeared to be no supervisory/managerial staff to point out the shortcomings, and although the chef made a perfunctory appearance, we felt our words to him were wasted. The other negative experience was with our room. Our shower wouldn't drain water fast enough to stop a build up/overflow of water into the bathroom floor. Maintenance were called and indeed managed to solve the problem, but in the process created a mess in the shower which they cleaned up using the bathmat. The following morning we placed the (very dirty) bathmat with our towels to be replaced. When we came back later that day we were somewhat shocked to find that the room attendant had put the said visibly dirty mat back on the floor!!! The food quality problem is easily got around by virtue of the fact that there are at least 3 very good restaurants within a 2 or 3 minute walk of the hotel. The other problem seems to be related to training/staff quality. On a positive note the rooms were very comfortable and of 4 star standard with minibar and free wifi (a little slow at times) , although the bathroom was very small for 2 people. Breakfast was reasonable and most staff were friendly and attentive.

"Immaculate and nicely designed, not your average Best Western"
FnkyChld, 18 Janvier 2018

Easily the best hotel in Palawan. The design is modern and classy, the rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, modern, comfortable, and have all of the high class hotel features you'd expect like a fridge, desk, strong air con etc. Most importantly to me, the wifi is blazing fast, which is hard to get in the Philippines let alone Palawan. The service is exceptional too and there are guards patrolling the lobby and elevator areas. I travel regularly for work in Asia, Europe and North America and this is not your average Best Western. It's much more luxurious than what Best Westerns are like in America, and I think it justifies the price tag even though you're in a low COL area.

"ok hotel bad trip organizer"
Jani K, 17 Janvier 2018

Hotel was ok but they managed to book me one of the worst organized trips I've ever had. I took a trip to El Nido (north Palawan) and I explicitly expressed my worries about "driving around city picking up passengers". I asked hotel to call the transport company and make sure they don't do that when they pick up me. I said I was ok with different time of departure, I just didn't want to drive around. Guess what? It was worse than I thought. The transport company hotel used not only picked up passengers, they were *looking for* passengers to an empty van. For example, we visited some of the hotels twice, and we ended up passing the same BW Plus exactly 2 hours later. They should *immediately* change the transport company they use. You can excuse this by "local standard" but I'm sure there are good local companies who are hungry for customers. The whole reason I use international well-known hotel brands is that I expect certain quality of service, and that should apply to their partners as well who they use/recommend.

"Half board"
rafi24, 11 Janvier 2018

Booked half board with travel agency. Upon arrival only breakfast was booked. The only thing the Front Desk has to say about this, its my Problem not the Hotel Problem, and i suppose to contact the travel agency.

"Nice stay with friendly staff "
Richelle E, 10 Janvier 2018

Although we had to wait for more than 20 mins for our pick up from the hotel, they easily recovered our disappointment by the professionalism and friendliness of their staff. The hotel has a nice feel to it. The pool was a bit cold and the gym a bit small which I hope would have been better. Regardless we enjoyed our stay and loved the breakfast buffet! They have a seriously good choice of breakfast!

"Best ever!"
Aaron M, 09 Janvier 2018

One of the best experiences my partner and I have had. From the check in to check out. The sap and the services provided are by far a friendly and professional staff and their touch was haven-sent. My only recommendation would be to adjust the prices of the pool-bar menu. Three drinks and a hotdog should not be $50 US dollars, anywhere when you can have a feast next door or really anywhere outside. Other than that would recommend to everyone that is looking to relax and really enjoy to disconnect. Also know that in less than a block away there is good places to drink and eat.

"Good location, poor breakfast"
widi, 07 Janvier 2018

I liked the hotel location as very central to good restaurants, scooter rental, bar etc. The staff is not well trained in terms of customer service. The breakfast was the most disappointing thing, we had eaten much better in the Philippines during our 2 weeks travel in other hotels. To get a latte macchiato served took 15 minutes... We were 2 people in one room and they did not want to provide us with 2 room batches as they are short of cards which we thought is odd. Rooms are ok and clean.

"One of the best Best Western hotels"
flor2345, 06 Janvier 2018

We've enjoyed our 3 night stay in this hotel. It is located near some of the most popular restaurants in PPS. The hotel staffs were very accommodating and well trained. Compared to Best Western hotels in the US, this hotel has the most varieties of food for continental breakfast. The only problem we had was the key card door/reader wasn't working properly which they eventually fixed. Aside from that, it was a great stay and definitely be staying again when we go to back to Palawan. Thank you everyone!

"Upon check in- they will asked you to put P2000 pesos. On my second day, I used the hair dryer and it was broken. I call"
Van M, 04 Janvier 2018

Upon check in- they will asked you to put P2000 pesos. On my second day, I used the hair dryer and it was broken. I called the Reception and reported the hair dryer. They replaced it but when I check out, The management charge me on a broken blower/hair dryer. They told me that why I did not report on my first day when I checked in? It was completely not fair. So I was charged P2000 person for a broken hair dryer. Also there is no Towel and Toiletries unless you call them several times. It was completely bad service.

"Nice Hotel"
Vanessa I, 30 Décembre 2017

The beds were nice and the hotel offered amenities such as lotion, cotton buds, shower cap, bathrobe, laundry bag, hair dryer, bidet and hot and cold shower, hydrating bodywash and clarifying shampoo. The breakfast buffet was not so good. The egg station chef do not know how to make delicious omelettes. Anibong restaurant offers overpriced food.

"We would return but avoid the restaurant next time"
php320, 29 Décembre 2017

This is a good value hotel with very clean classy decor and gorgeous comfy beds and pillows. It also offers a good-sized pool open till 10pm and a decent gym. Check-in was slick and service generally was good. Its mighty negative for our trip was the dreadful restaurant service on our first evening. Service was spectacularly slow and confused - items arrived we hadn't ordered while others we had ordered failed to arrive until prompted. Our experience at the Kinbuch grill and bar a two minute walk away was a whole lot better our second night. Having said that, the Breakfast buffet at the hotel was fine. Perhaps a different team ...? Overall, I would definitely return, just skip the evening meal there.

"Interesting experience"
mandypage2015, 28 Décembre 2017

The room was very nice and well apppinted. The staff were trying hard which was appreciated but we found a few things that didn't quite work. We could only get one key for the room and nearly everything we wanted to order from room service was unavailable. This last point may be due to the recent bad weather and became a bit of a joke. Breakfast was good and very tasty.

"Best Western Ivywall"
daviddH4042HM, 28 Décembre 2017

Great room, great food, very helpful staff. This hotel is located in the center of Puerto Princesa City and you may access transportation to all the city sights from the hotel. The rooms are clean and so are the comfort rooms. Good value for your money.

"Disappointing service"
ReidB, 27 Décembre 2017

They offer an airport pick up but after sending my request 3 times I still had no response from them so had to make our own way there. The guy on reception couldn't care less when I complained, and so I asked to speak to the manager, was told he was not available so I asked for his telephone number,,, was told he was not available to call either. So I asked for his e-mail... only to be given the general info e-mail. That receptionist really did not want me to speak to the manager. Room was very comfortable and clean but the breakfast was disappointing, raw fried eggs and frozen margarine.

"Excellent!"
Emmanuel I, 27 Décembre 2017

Place is conveniently located across the airport. Wifi was great. Service was good. Room was excellent. Breakfast buffet was good although when you order at the pool bar, food usually takes atleast 30 mins.

"Living Up to A Name"
elopre_julius, 20 Décembre 2017

Best Western offers an excellent hotel experience with hard earned money. Facilities are competitive with very nice staffs. Breakfast offered is also good. The hotel is also very accessible to the airport (which is an advantage). Further, the hotel is also near to other establishments in the city like malls, famous restaurants and landmarks. Transportation is not also an issue as you can avail of the transport service the hotel provides. Overall, it is an experience to remember.

"Missing Personal Touches"
ViaVioMA, 14 Décembre 2017

Recently checked in with my wife (who is also a hotelier). Being in the hospitality business, can't help but to be critical on observations and hopefully, somebody listens to improve on opportunities. The Pros: 1. Indicated in Agoda booking to have a higher floor, large bed, quiet and non-smoking - absolutely everything were given. Can't say much but big thanks! Good job! 2. Room is super spacious and clean. Loved the shower. 3. Bed is comfy and had a good rest! 4. Whole property has its charm and beauty amidst the busy street where it is located. 5. Loved the cheesecake served at the poolbar! The Cons: 1. Concierge greeted us upon entrance at the lobby but his colleague did not and just went on his routine of checking us in. 2. During breakfast, no "good mornings" just "can I get your room number?" 3. Waiters can improve on their social skills. Talk to your guests, ask if everything's ok! How's the meal?, etc. 4. During check out, nobody out of 3 staffs at the front desk, including a supervisor (long-haired, forgot her name) cared to ask how was our stay, and worse, nobody thanked us when we left the lobby. Just went to their 'side duties' of sorting, paper works and stuff. Thanks to the driver, who wished us 'Have a safe trip!' I think his name is Ral. Overall, facilities and property, ok and higher standard but people skills and warmth if felt, would compliment and will make us comeback again. Thank you, guys!

"Excellent Location "
Mario R, 14 Décembre 2017

Stayed at Best Western 2 nights . Great location in the middle of town , 5 minutes from PPIA great wifi in every room and good breakfast , nice pool also ! For the price of 3300.00PHP good deal! Free airport shuttle on the hour !

"Great hotel "
teeno1, 12 Décembre 2017

Best hotel we found in pp nice clean Aircon rooms with WiFi that works and electric that doesn't keep going off. Some good restaurants and music bar tiki bar close by. We would stay again used it at beginning and end of trip

"Very good"
F2192FMmf, 10 Décembre 2017

Very nice hotel, good breakfast, close to nice restaurants. One bad thing is the towels are old and not so white. I usually skip breakfasts in hotels because it's more fun to eat where locals eat. Breakfast in the hotel was a better option this time. Enough fresh food to choose from and it was presented in a nice way. For eating out, there are two good restaurants, just to the right of the hotel.

"Highly recommended!"
iamrizzie, 09 Décembre 2017

This hotel didn't disappoint at all! Liked practically everything during my recent 4days/3nights stay a few days ago. Concierge was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. They even assisted me well with booking tour packages. All staff were really nice and warmly greeted me every time I see them. Room felt very posh - exactly like the photos! Very minor comments were some stains on the sheets and ants even after daily housekeeping. Didn't have the time to use the pool and gym but both looked adequate - pool had a bar and dart board area while gym had basic equipments. Food was excellent! Good variety everyday - there were bacon, pancakes, congee, daing na bangus; staples were the egg station, various bread, fresh fruits etc. Location is near the airport (<15mins drive) and must try restaurants (KaLui and Kinabuch). Overall, great value for money!!!

"Excellent hotel!"
Arpad P, 08 Décembre 2017

Very modern, beautiful rooms. Gym, pool, it's a little far away from the malls, but many restaurants very close by. Excellent staff, I am very picky, but this hotel is probably the best one I stayed in the Philippines. The only weak spot is the breakfast, not much selection, and they don't clean the tables quick enough, so you may need to hunt for a clean table, that is not right under the AC went. They have a very reliable shuttle service to and from the airport, which is only a short trip. I would stay there if I ever be in town for sure!

"Disappointed"
Michael V, 07 Décembre 2017

Can't recommend. I was not impressed. So many good reviews out there I feel like I missed something. Not 4 * by any stretch of the imagination. Pool is small and has a nice view of the construction next door. Smoking section is small and no coverage from the rain. Breakfast was awesome 1 day, the next three where awful. Always running out of milk, juice, pancakes, eggs, etc. Honda Bay tour company through them is awful, book elsewhere. My room smelled weird and there is no view. Positive..nice restaurants are right next door and the location is right on the main road.

"Comfort"
Flipper1993, 05 Décembre 2017

Perfect location very near the airport, popular restaurants (as in a few steps away) and few pasalubong centers. Room is spacious, soft bed and pillows (very important) plus bathroom is big enough. Buffet breakfast food has a number of good options. How i wish the juices are not powdered juice. Too bad we only stayed for a night.

"My stay at Best Western Plus "
Tina N, 05 Décembre 2017

Hotel is located in the heart of the city and near the airport. Its nice, clean and hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Food was good. WiFi is also fine. Our only request is for the hotel to at least have an on-call doctor or nurse in cases of guest needing their blood pressure checked or if a guest is sick and needs attention or basic medicine. Hotel Manager Marianne was very helpful, so was her supervisor Karen and Besh (I'm sorry, I have a strong feeling I'm "murdering" her name) from the Anibong restaurant had been pleasant and made sure our meal was a wonderful experience. I will surely recommend this place and will definitely stay with them again if I visit Puerto Princesa again.

"Complete! "

I love the big and comfy bed, the veranda and view outside and the spacious room. Theu have everything you need and want- swimming pool, gym, spa and excellent wifi!???? Add to it the hot shower, hair blower, huge tv and the carpeted room! It is near ‘must see' restaurants like Kalui and Kinabuchs. Also, they have the most polite staff and crew.??

"Excellent place to stay"
Mathew H, 23 Novembre 2017

Staff were very friendly, the rooms were extremely clean, and the food was fantastic. Organised tours were really good. Also, was reasonably priced. We would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Palawan.

"Great stay"
Neil B, 23 Novembre 2017

Definitely one of the best places to stay in puerto princesa. Well located at the central street rizal street everything is easily accessible including some good restaurants. Airport is very close and pick up services offered were well organised. Front desk was very helpful and the room was clean and had a great view of the forest behind. Tours are well organised by the hotel. Food and restaurant were nice.

"Convenient & Accessible"
Gloria A, 23 Novembre 2017

We stayed at Ivy wall 2 days ago and it is the best hotel I have used in Puerto Princesa. It's reasonably priced. Complete amenities, wifi is excellent signal. Good meals & affordable. Good for business meetings as well as for any events. Close in almost everything you need. Very well recommended.

"Great Stay"
Nannette H, 18 Novembre 2017

I have been traveling lots in the last 40 years and stayed in many hotels of different classes. Ivy hotel in Puerto Princesa, Palawan was perfect for me with its friendly but professional and service- minded staff, nice surrounding, clean and well-designed room, closeness to everything. It's five minutes to the airport, and the hotel will take you there for free. I got very good value for the money, so to speak. The restaurant menu had a good selection of food, service was great. I highly recommend it to those who goes to Puerto Princessa.

"A nice place"
DiwataVibes, 17 Novembre 2017

Pros: Delicious meals. First class service. Spacious & comfy room. Complete with toiletries, hair dryer, bathrobe, slippers, writing table. I especially like the bedside two-way switches for the lights. Con: Passing noise right outside the door could be heard inside the room.

"Great hotel"
TerriLynnRen, 14 Novembre 2017

On-site restaurant, free buffet breakfast, pool, pool bar, massage spa (about $14 us for 60 min and it was wonderful!), gym, free business center, free WiFi, very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel and room was very clean, and modern. Good location from airport and other activities.

"One of the best hotels"
Semsensei, 13 Novembre 2017

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in the Philippines and I have stayed at quite a few. The rooms are clean and the service is good. A little more attention to detail in the bathroom would improve it even more. Toothpaste splatters on the bathroom door and water spots on the shower glass could be easily remedied with a little more attention to detail. Overall this is a great hotel. Our room was on the 4th floor at the back and was very quiet.

"A Must Try"
CrisFajanilan, 11 Novembre 2017

Best Western Ivywall was place in strategic area where all you needs are reachable from best food hub like kalui and kinabuchs to amazing bars. Stunning staff and service with a smile. Food was great with reasonable price. Deffinitely will come back again, A Must Try.

"Probably the best hotel in Puerto Princesa"
ikke5473, 10 Novembre 2017

During a recent family vacation in the Philippines, we included Palawan Island on the itinerary. Having flown in from Davao on the island of Mindanao, we arrived at Puerto Princesa Airport, with the intention to proceed to El Nido a few days later. We chose the BEST WESTERN Plus The Ivywall Hotel as our place of stay during our time in Puerto Princesa, primarily for it being conveniently located near the airport. The Hotel provides a free airport shuttle service and the driver of the smart mini-bus was awaiting us at the exit doors of the airport at the allocated time, to tale us the short drive to the Hotel. Upon arrival at the Hotel we were greeted by very friendly and effective staff, who checked us in without any fuss or problems, something, any traveller to the Philippines will testify, is not the norm! On top of that, despite us arriving very early and many hours before the “official” check-in time of 15:00 hours, we were given the keys to our rooms. On the way to our rooms we had a chance to take in the details of the hotel, which, owing to the fact that it only opened few months before, was immaculately maintained and perfectly clean. The same was true for the well-equipped and spacious rooms. Everything in the rooms and in the hotel was in good working conditions, again, something not necessarily standard in the Philippines and the WiFi was by far the best connection we had anywhere on this Island. As a guest, you also have access to the nice pool, which is not too chlorinated, and the attached bar, serving very nice fruit shakes and other drinks. The Hotel also includes a little Spa, where we relaxed having some, not necessarily cheap, but very good Thai and Swedish massages. Breakfast, which was included in our room price, was buffet style and, for Philippines standards, very good, with a good selection of cold and cooked dishes available. We felt at all times that the staff in the hotel did go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one and they did try to accommodate any of you wishes. All in all did we have an excellent stay at this nice, modern hotel, a fact highlighted by the fact, that we chose to stay thereon our return from El Nido.

"Superb place ! Highly recommended !"
Kedar K, 08 Novembre 2017

10/10 on all accounts. Definitely coming here again. Food was great, stay was great, amenities were great, staff was courteous! All in all 10/10 We also availed their services for the day trips / tours to the underground river, fireflies watching, honda bay and other places close by.

"Hotel in puerto princessa"
Damon Lee G, 06 Novembre 2017

I just wanted to say what a lovely hotel the Best Western plus Ivy wall is in terms of service and hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay there and the staff were all superb, never walking past without a smile and a hello. The food was delicious and we ate dinner there a few times. Breakfast included was also a lovely experience although once or twice the coffee wasn't piping hot but warm hot. The room and service was first class. A beautiful room where everything worked and was expensively finished. I would always look for this brand name in my future travels.

"Beautiful building & 5 Star Customer Service"
Ashleigh A, 04 Novembre 2017

Best Western Ivy Wall is located in a beautiful, big and bright building within the downtown region of Puerto Princessa. It still maintains a quite peaceful atmosphere, even while being in the heart of the city. The rooms were clean and bathrooms were stocked with everything one could need. The real gem of this hotel is the staff, they are extremely friendly and it was a pleasure to see them each day. The pool is well maintained and is manned by Eldie, he was very attentive to our needs while pool side and we were so grateful for that! We also had the pleasure of being served by Marvin, who helped us with a variety of things, if you have any questions or concerns just pick up the phone and they are one call away. The manager at the Ivy Wall is very attentive as well, he makes sure all his guests are enjoying themselves. The breakfast was something we enjoyed waking up to each day, it had fresh bread, jams, doughnuts, soup/pho, an omelette station, rice, various meats, hot and cold drinks, fresh fruits and more! The atmosphere in the dining area was wonderful and we enjoyed every minute of it. The price is worth every penny for the quality you will get at the Best Western Ivy Wall. Thank you to all the staff who took care of us during our stay!

"Truly Best Western Plus"
28maricarv, 03 Novembre 2017

Best Western Plus lived up to its name because there was more to the usual in a boutique hotel. Quick service and friendly staff. I wish there were more option for breakfast though particularly for rice eaters and non meat eaters but the breakfast is not a deal breaker for me. I love the spa and anyone staying at Ivy Wall Best Western in Palawan should try it.

"Great new hotel - super friendly staff"
Mari B, 31 Octobre 2017

We arranged a airport pick-up with the hotel... and somehow missed our transfer, but when ringing the hotel someone was promptly sent to collect us at the airport. It was a quick 5 minute transfer to the hotel where we had a quick check in and settled into our hotel. The hotel is absolutely beautifully decorated, the rooms were clean and the bed super comfortable. The shower in the bathroom was strong. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast before setting off again ... I can easily stay more than 1 night should I ever travel through Puerto Princesa again. Can highly recommend this hotel and it's staff. Great value for money.

"Value for Money"
Joan D, 20 Octobre 2017

This is the best hotel I've stayed so far in Puerto Princesa. Food is great in the restaurant. Aside from breakfast, we also ate lunch and dinner there. Bed is comfortable. Felt safe. Value for money. Great service.

"Absolutely Superb - 1st Class"
PetePM, 19 Octobre 2017

In my time in the Philippines I have stayed at over 70 hotels and the Best Western Plus The Ivy Wall has been amazing in every aspect. The service is impeccable, the food is fresh and delicious and for the first time in 15 years in the Philippines the rice served was piping hot! Now that's a first!! From check in to check out the experience was well worth the money you spend. The room we stayed in was immaculate and beautiful to look at, luxury at every turn. The bed and bathroom was everything you would expect from a top class hotel. The pool, the spa and gym await you! Close to a mall and the airport. Not enough time to glorify this superb hotel. If you want a top class experience, now this is the place. My rating 15/10. A first for me.

"One of the best"
cyrillota, 18 Octobre 2017

One of the best hotels we've stayed - all of the staff were nice, attends to all your needs and concerns, approachable. Room and bathroom is updated, clean, smells good. Free breakfast is buffet - food choices differs every morning and there's lots. The location is perfect - few mins walk to some top rated reataurantsWill stay here again if we happen to go back to puerto princesa. Just be mindful - there's a charge if you use their phone even for local landline calls - that's a surprise for us.

"The Best Hotel I have stayed in Puerto Princessa so far...."
KingRegis, 10 Octobre 2017

I have been to Puerto Princessa several times already and i must say that Best Western Plus Ivy Wall is so far the best i have stayed in! Its location is just Great. Near Restaurants and Shops. They also have a Free Shuttle to the Airport so make sure to mention your flight details when booking via any other channels aside from their Website. Check In was smooth, friendly and efficient. 2 Keycards were provided unlike other hotels which just provide 1. The room we got was the Deluxe Room and it was spacious, clean, cool and nice smelling. Beds were big and Very Comfortable. I really liked the pillows they provided, soft and big. Furnishings were perfect. Modern with filipino touches. Loved the use of Wood with Mother of Pearl accents. No Shortage of Outlets to Charge Gadgets. TV was big with a Very Clear Reception. Stocked Mini Ref, Tea / Coffee / Kettle / Water provided. Bathroom was Big. Hot and Cold Shower. Toilet had a BIDET! Dryer also provided. Availed of the room service. Food was delicious and server was efficient. Price was also just right. Breakfast was Buffet and it had a good range of Choices. Loved the beef soup. Went to the Gym but was not able to try the pool. My stay at Best Western Plus Ivy Wall was just relaxing and enjoyable. Staff were friendly, Room was Clean, Cool and Comfortable. Food delicious, Centrally Located. Definitely if someone asks me a hotel to stay in Puerto Princessa, this hotel will be on the top of my list.

"Best Place to Stay in Puerto Princesa!"
liz1109, 09 Octobre 2017

It's a modern hotel with clean and spacious rooms. The breakfast was really good. It had different selections everyday. Their danggit is a must try. The location was 2-3mins walking distance to the popular restaurants like Ka Lui and Kinaboosh. I suggest to book your tour with the hotel their price is more reasonable than the others. What made my stay memorable is the staff. All of the staff was nice, friendly and made sure you were looked after. Special kudos to James and Eldie at Pool/Bar. Eldie did a great job taking care of the pool it was one of the best pool experience i had. There was no harsh chemical smell. And James made the best drinks. What a funny and witty guy. It was one of the highlights of my trip. Suggestion: As much as I loved my breakfast there's one suggestion I would like to make. Since there was so many staff on the floor and to make it more efficient for guest and staff may I suggest the following: 1. to have 2 host at the front - 1 to greet/ checkin the guest and other host to lead the guest to the table. 2. have designated server for each table to offer coffee/water/juice. The guest will feel that they are looked after - this allows a staff to have a personal connection and allows them to build relationship with the guest. It would also be nice to see less traffic on the floor. Good job to all the the beautiful staff! My home away from home.

"One of the best in Puerto Princesa"
Marlon S, 09 Octobre 2017

I like the location of the property. Near to airport and not so far from the town proper witch I prefer. Not so noisy with the motorcycle rides. Walking distance with the famous Ka Lui Restaurant and some good neighboring bars. The hotel facilities serve their purpose well and staff are all friendly and caring. Definitely I will come back.

"Pleasant stay with some improvements needed..."
Katherine Z, 04 Octobre 2017

We had a King bed room and it was spacious and clean. Housekeeping came once daily - only once they forgot to give us new hand towels. The pool is a lovely area with a bar. More lounge beds are needed - there are only 3. Room service for food is apparently available till 11pm however we called a bit past 10pm and was told the kitchen was already closed - this was disappointing. The buffet breakfast is till 10am but 2 mornings we were down there at 9am and there was very limited food left. We had to continually ask for more food to be brought out/replenished. The coffee and milk also had ran out and we had to ask for this also. There were plenty of staff on duty, they should have been more observant and organised the replenishing of food and drinks without the customers asking. The reception staff were excellent very helpful and welcoming. We particularly liked Robert. He was excellent. He welcomed us, helped us with our bags, showed us around our room, helped us book tours, answered all our questions and was even there to farewell us. Thanks Robert! Overall a pleasant stay, a few improvements in the above areas will make the hotel fantastic.

"Highly recommended"
Rusty V, 03 Octobre 2017

MY husband and I have a wonderful stay in Best Western Ivy Wall, 4 dsys and 3 nights seem not enough. The staffs are very courteous, and accommodating. They greet us with smiles. The breakfast was superb. We love our room in this hotel.very clean and comfortable. We hope to bring my other family members next visit to Palawan. Highly recommended to our friends, local and abroad... More power to BW!!

"Probably the best hotel in the area"
tytuk, 03 Octobre 2017

Polite hotel staff but not very helpful. We were given a disabled access room so everytime we showered, the bathroom would be flooded and unsafe. We asked the reception staff twice if we could change rooms and highlighted the hazard of us potentially slipping and getting seriously hurt. They said they'd try but no one ever got back to us. We organised airport transfer with the hotel but when we arrived, no one was there to pick us up. We also organised transfers to get us back to the airport after our stay and the van nearly left without us! Shower pressure was poor but there was plenty of hot water. Lighting in the bathroom was too dim. Room service was good, friendly waiters. Massage services at the spa were not good. Breakfast was ok but lacked variety. Very close to the airport.

"Just excellent"
LKJE, 01 Octobre 2017

We stayed here for 6 night after visiting el nido, we were looking for a relaxed and comfortable hotel at a good price. After looking at the good reviews we settled on this hotel. From our first experience to the last I absolutely loved this place. Professional staff and great amenities, you really feel well looked after. Rooms are spotless, the bar is great for a cocktail at super low prices. The pool and bar area are served by at least 3 staff and great for a dip after a long hot day. The location is a big plus too. A big thanks to the courteous and professional security staff who always had time for a chat. I could not fault your service and would not hesitate in returning. Thank you.

"Hotel with Lots of Potential"
Edward C, 29 Septembre 2017

Stayed overnight at the Ivywall for business. Got the regular room. When we first got in the room, there was an odor - smelled like something spilled on the carpet and didn't dry properly. Even bought lysol to freshen the room up but it didn't help. Brought this to the front desk, wasn't expecting much since I figured we were in the province. Fortunately the front desk Manager (Marianne) and Housekeeping Manager (Moody). They both requested to check the room. A few minutes later they apologized and upgraded us to their suite. Room was more than what we expected and more than made up for the not so good impression. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend Best Western to everyone visiting Puerto Princesa City.

"Clean room and nice staffs"
kimitalye, 28 Septembre 2017

Before having our trio to el nido we had a night stay here at best western. Chose this since reviews were nice and rooms looked clean. We had 2 room reservations and upon checking in we were asked to show the voucher and send it. I complied to it and actually also for new bookings it is required for them to have a copy, totally understood that. The fo-tl was the one who checked us in and thank us for being patient with it and had few chats. The rooms were nice and clean as I expected, just that we find the pillows a bit hard. The swimming pool was great and restaurant's ambiance was great.

"Worth The Stay"
Helen S, 23 Septembre 2017

I booked multiple rooms at this property for family reunion. This property was beyond my expectations. The staff were all professional, caring, always greeting you with a smile. The security is excellent, not only there were security personnel, the elevator will not operate unless your room key is scanned. Breakfast food choices were plentiful, service staff constantly comes by to take your empty dishes away. Hotel ambiance, decor and location were excellent. Rooms are clean, hospitality personnel were helpful. I paid a little more than other nearby hotels but it's worth it.

"Good, nice and central"
antares62, 21 Septembre 2017

It is a very modern hotel, close to both Puerto Princesa Airport and the city center, on Rizal avenue. I stayed two nights in it and it was a wise move. The hotel is very modern and complete, with spa, swimming pool, gym, restaurant and bar. I tried to have dinner and I repeated the second day. Of course the WIFI is free. The room was spacious and the bed large and very comfortable. It is surely one of the best hotels in the city.

"Best Western Stay"
jeru B, 21 Septembre 2017

This is my first time visit in Palawan and we decided to stay at Best Western Plus for two nights. The hotel did not fail my expectation. Buffet breakfast is overall satisfying. The restaurant is clean and cozy. Staffs and utilities are very accommodating and they all greet you with a smile. One of the front desk is very kind (i forgot her name). Swimming pool is great. The room is spacious and clean. In terms of location, I believe this hotel has the best spot. It is very near the restaurants like Kalui and Kabutch. Rooms for improvement maybe are for the lobby and elevator to make them cooler.

"Great Hotel"
Dylan T, 18 Septembre 2017

This hotel is just over a year old which shows in its facilities. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. Staff are polite and helpful. Best of all is its location. Just 5 to 10 minutes from the airport thru their complimentary airport transfer, and within a few minutes walk to some of the popular food outlets in Puerto Princesa, namely Ka Lui, Ka Inato, and Kinabuch. And if you are in for some malling experience, a new SM mall just opened which is just a 20 to 30 minute walk from the hotel. Also just a 5 minute walk from this hotel is Noki Nocs Savory House. They serve the best Halo Halo in town, even better than the once available in Manila. My wife and I would visit this outlet everyday for our halo halo fix.

"Me and Mike"
gingoog, 14 Septembre 2017

It all started when we got off the plane. A nice man welcomed us with a shuttle from the hotel. Everyone greeted us so warmly. From day 1 Ms. Karen welcomed us with such a warm kind smile. We can tell she was a sweet wonderful employee. Robert one of the bell boys also left an impression. He was so nice to us. Everyday for breakfast the Chef's Caesar and the lady Chef made sure we were having the best time. The servers were wonderful!!! So sweet! To end our trip I got a wonderful massage. I was booked at 10am Sept. 14. I forgot her name. She was just terrific! ! Perfect pressure. THE BEST ANG BEST WESTERN ! Food , room and most of all the amazing staff!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

"4 Days in PP Palawan"
Ashley E, 12 Septembre 2017

This hotel is one of few in this area that is completely updated and modern. The decor is very tastefully done and the amenities are well worth it for the modest price. Was not a huge fan of the one site restaurant or the drinks served as they lacked any real alcohol and the food was pretty bland. The pool however, is awesome and the spa very affordable. We took advantage of the signature massage for 60 mins which only totaled about $18USD! There are a few good restaurants on the street as well as I small street vendor area just down the street from the hotel as well. Overall, I'd stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat. It was only 1 hr away from the Underground River and about 30 mins to Honda Bay.

"Second visit!"
Gail B, 05 Septembre 2017

Still the same. Staff are very accommodating. Especially Bash and Regine ;). I love the bed. Very comfy. Location very accessible. With complimentary airport shuttle. We celebrated my son's birthday. The breakfast was okay.

"Amazing Service"
Jean G, 01 Septembre 2017

I had an amazing time. The staff were so accommodating and hospitable especially the one assigned in the pool bar, he also makes great cocktails too, I didn't get his name though. The rooms were so clean and I loved the Alarm clock slash bluetooth speaker, it gives a modern feels to a modern place. Their breakfast buffet theme was also different everyday, I'd always look forward to what their breakfast would be. The location was also superb. It was close to the tourist spots and even to the airport. There were also cheap restaurants near their location and it is accessible to many establishments like the NCCC mall and the souvenir market and there's also chapel nearby. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and for sure I'll be staying here again in my next trip to Palawan.

"Comfortable place to stay in Palawan"

The hotel is defnitely a good choice when in Palawan. It is in a central location.. 10 minutes away from the airport, and some good restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The restaurant serves good breakfast.

"Free buffet breakfast, close to good restaurants"
Regi_grace, 09 Août 2017

Stayed for one night with my family. We booked 3 rooms. Hotel is a short walking distance to KaLui and Kinabuch restaurants and a short ride to the airport. Hotel provided ride to airport as well. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast included with our booking. I wished they included rice porridge in the selections but only miso soup was available on the morning I was there. I did enjoy specifying which ingredients to include in my omelet. Omelet station was manned by a nice pleasant staff. Room was clean and very spacious. Pillows and bed were firm; the way I like it. Robes and slippers were provided for guests' use. *thumbs up!*

"Execptional"
chefcaro, 09 Août 2017

The rooms are spacious with a beautiful large comfortable bed, big screen tv, plush towels, a bathroom with full amenities, The shower is exquisite. Service is above average for the price. As I stay in hotels around the world this was a real treat . For families couples your needs and expectations will be surpassed. Breakfast is a delight with such a variety of local or western cuisine. Again I have been there more than once and will continue to be a repeat customer.

"Mixed Feelings"
ktorn, 09 Août 2017

Right, there's so much to say about this hotel. Do read on. :) What We Liked: - The hotel offered free pick up and drop off to and from the airport. - Hotel staff granted our request of early check-in; we were also able to leave our luggage with the reception as we waited for our room to be readied. - Receptionists treated us with courtesy and had genuine welcoming smiles. - The room (we stayed at a deluxe double room I believe) was great- take note- at face value. I am a keen observer, later on I will be discussing some minor things that I wasn't keen on. - The view was priceless. Whether be it from our room or from the corridors, lush, deep green trees stand proud. It's quite a sight to wake up to and come home to. - The breakfast buffet doesn't disappoint. If you do book a room, it's best to include the breakfast option. They have lots of options, you are sure to leave the hotel stuffed. - The location is fairly near to some of the tourist spots. If you would like to do the Honda Bay tour, the "pier" is roughly about 30 minutes away (if you take one of those tricycles waiting right outside the hotel). If you want to do the city tour, farthest point to start from is the Ecopark I believe and that's 30 minutes away from the hotel. The Robinsons mall is about 15-20 minutes away. If you would like to eat out, there are tons of choices as well. I really liked KaLui and Kinabuchs grill and bar. Although the Banyan Restaurant of the hotel is quite alright as well. What Impressed Me: - My fiancée got sick at the very last day of our stay. Marianne, an angel as she was, allowed us to borrow a thermometer. She sent someone to go to the pharmacy to get medicine. She sent food to our room because my fiancée was weak enough to head down the restaurant. As if that wasn't enough, she arranged a bed for us at their in-house clinic, allowed us to stay until we had to leave for the airport. She was truly an angel, and a great asset to the company. What Can Be Improved: - Both the sink and the shower were clogged from the get go. - The sink was too far from the edge. Everything just gets messy (and wet). - The desk drawer just won't close. It did hurt me at one time as I was trying to shut it. - We booked an Underground River tour and this is where all hell breaks loose. Someone had picked us up, tried to get money from us (even though the night prior we paid for the tour), and seemingly does not even know that we were supposed to have a tour guide. Turns out, he was not even supposed to be picking us up. Imagine being out in an unfamiliar place with limited access to transportation and what not, then being told that you were picked up by the wrong person. That was very stressful and scary, almost ruined our whole trip. I suggest that before you hand over a hotel guest to a driver or a tour guide, make sure they present an ID and a document stating that they are indeed supposed to pick up the particular guest. Do not put your guests in a confusing, terrifying experience; please, let that never happen to anyone ever again. I want to end this on a positive note. Give this hotel a try. You won't regret it.

"Great hotel and great value"
User, 07 Août 2017

Newer hotel was a fantastic stay. Very helpful and friendly staff, smooth check in. Nice room with safe and comfortable bed. Restaurant had nice buffet breakfast. Pool is nice. Stayed here 1 night before going to El Nido. Would come back again.

"It's Alright"
Ricky V, 07 Août 2017

Clean, hospitable, restrained and new. The breakfast food, the food and the coffee in the room could be better. Bed cushion was so hard and uncomfortable. It's an ok hotel. The type you can live with if you had few choices. I can stay here again the restaurant beside the hotel was a saving grace.

"would love to stay here again"
isayqc, 01 Août 2017

pros: affordable room rate, good space in the room, bed and toilets are ok, staff friendly, effiicient and accommodating, lobby is well lit and furnishings are well thought of. cons: breakfast can be better but coffee was good and small pool.

"Great stay, great hotel"
Wayne P, 29 Juillet 2017

We had a great stay nice rooms and very nice hotel. Great breakfast and very friendly staff, it has a 20 m pool and small gym and spa. The place feels like a 5 star hotel I think it is down as 4 and is reasonably priced, I paid 2500 php a night including breakfast which I thought was very good value for this hotel. I would strongly recommend this hotel and also it is close to some of the best restaurants in town. They also have a free airport transfer.

"Pre-departure staycation"
charles331, 15 Juillet 2017

We stayed here for just about 15 hours for our predeparture accommodation. The hotel looks really brand new and well furnished. Check-in process goes smooth and our room is comfortable. However, brownout lasted for about 5-10 minutes. The room appointed to us too far from the elevator. There is also no room scent which made our room smells likea cabinet. Cabinet doors is broken even the lights inside the cabinet is not 100% working. Lounge chairs in the pool area is limited for only 2-3 guests. Doors in the restroom/changing room is also broken The hotel is really known to be class and appeallingand is known to be luxurious but of course there are still rooms for improvement. Still Best Western Ivywall Hotel take part in my celebration of my birthday.

"Excellent hotel with polite staff"

"Its a good hotel but power issues "

This was my 2 nd stay . I was put in room 408 it suffered from loud music late at night not sure where it came from. But i put up with it . Frequent black outs and generator problems .so one time no power 2 hours. Breakfast on a 10 day stay bacon only served twice. However i would reccomend this hotel so long as u pay a discounted rate .

"Food service to slow"
t0nycabrestante, 12 Juillet 2017

I was expecting a 5-star service from this hotel, however, our valentines dinner last February 2017 got spoiled, my wife got mad at me in choosing to dine at this alleged "5-star hotel". Hotel rooms are nice, but FOOD... never mind...

"Nightmare no Light, AC, Water for 2 hours and Discriminating"
sherifsls, 11 Juillet 2017

I choose this hotel because it's reputation but when i arrived there to spend 4 nights i faced me and my wife first problem which is the give us a room in 5th floor (537) in the end of the hotel which is your are in far island no internet at all they said the reason something technically we have to solved and for bad luck it's for one and half night not solve at all (nobody care) Breakfast it's biggest Discriminating ever i saw it in all my travels most of world country they give local guests all kind of services and fruits for example but us they said sorry it's finished!!! (i said to the lady there Basima i saw you give the local guests a mango fruits she said they bring own fruits from outside hotel and we cut it for theme!!!!!!!!!!) The hotel has a lot of local guests from local families and Chinese groups the give attention for theme only Third night it was a no Light, AC, Water for 2 hours and internet as well they have a maybe a generator for villa or a small house they try to generate electricty but nothing... even when the power comes no internet .. they said the reason is service proviider!! reasons always ready to say it to you because they think about us as not guest but as kids in garden!! I was very upset i request from the Receptionist to print our return ticket confirmation because no internet even to check in through mail, the Receptionist with a very polite atitude he said sorry for the internet service just send me the ticket to print it for you (I get happy) then he print it for me in lobby area (as the internet available) and he follow that with bill for 30 pesos!!! Finally if you want to Stay there you have to Sacrifice and struggle a lot coz nobody there can help you at all just talking and promises and you well get instead of leisure it's a nightmare......

"Great Place to Stay! Highly Recommended!"
cdrii, 10 Juillet 2017

Okay, spent 5 nights at this Best Western. Here's my quick review: Pros: Close to airport (10 minutes) Free pick up Great location! On Main Street with Kinabuch (our fave restaurant) close by. Great Staff...especially Robert, who was very hospitable & kind Very Secure, security personnel always available Nice breakfast Good wi fi Cons: Huge pillows! No wash cloths Elevator kinda stuffy Overall, I highly recommend staying at this Best Western. I would stay there again if I ever return. Tip: If you need to ride a tricycle, don't go with the first guy who approaches you. He knows you're a tourist & will try & overcharge you, forcing you to negotiate....just walk past them to the left, tell them you're going to Noki Nocs...then once you're passed them, flag down another passing tricycle & use him! He won't know you just walked out of hotel & he will give you a better price! Trust me on this one! Good Luck!

Excellent Location and very courteous staff. Breakfast menu and food are very good. Chef Ceasar interact with guest and make excellent "Misua Soup" and Banana cake which my wife and I like. Perfect swimming pool size which is perfect for lap swimming.

The hotel had great amenities and staff.. Felt very safe with security guards at all entrances and key to get access to floors.. There are a lot of restaurants just walking distance to the hotel. They offer free airport shuttle and free breakfast. Our stay was very relaxing.. Definitely recommend this place.

"modern and Friendly"
Shmuel8070, 01 Juillet 2017

Spent a weekend in this modern, well equipped, quiet hotel. Friendly and hospitable stuff. They waited and picked me up from the airport. Found it friendly and understanding to Jews who avoid activating electricity/electrical appliances on Shabbat. Manager took care that all Shabbat issues be solved and gave me manual key. Thank you

"Great stay!"
Trish d, 01 Juillet 2017

There's a lot of good things about this new hotel, nice rooms, good breakfast, free shuttle transport to and from the airport, clean surroundings, very good location and the best thing I like is the smell of the entire hotel. I love the frangrace they are using, very calming and refreshing! I will definitely go back to this hotel again.

"Pleasant Hotel"
Fitzgerald W, 28 Juin 2017

I recently visited the Philippines (Manila and Palawan) and for the Palawan portion of the trip we stayed at this hotel. After a horrendous hotel stay in Manila, this hotel was a sight for sore eyes! To begin with, I was pleasantly surprise that the hotel offers complimentary transportation from the Airport to the Hotel, a nice ride in a new Van. check in was quick and painless, the room was spacious and more than adequate Breakfast was a Buffet choice of western and asian dishes, Wifi was good and the over all attitude of the employees was excellent. This is a good place to stay and for the price paid, you can't complaint, it was worth it. The hotel is conveniently located and they provide service with a smile with can do attitude.

"I had higher expectations"
Jim K, 28 Juin 2017

Perhaps it isn't fair for me to write this review after having spent a week at the five star Marco Polo in Manila before I came here. But you certainly notice the little things that make the difference between a 5 star and a 3 or 4 star hotel. I did hours of research before ultimately choosing the Best Western and I did so based on the reviews, value and familiarity with the name. But my experience here wasn't as good as I was hoping for. I had some minor issue early in my stay that rubbed me the wrong way. First and foremost, they didn't have enough keys and were only giving out one per room, not one per person. The problem is that most hotel rooms in Asia require a room key be inserted into a master switch in order to activate the power in the room. Having only one key creates a problem when one person wants to leave the room. I like to wake up early and go have coffee while my girlfriend likes to sleep in. If I leave the key in the room and she's still sleeping when I want to come back, I have to wake her up to let me in. So I took the key with me. Half an hour later I got a call from her asking me why the a/c is off and that it's so hot in the room. Not good. Later that day we were at the pool and she wasn't feeling well so she went back to the room, but I stayed. When I was ready to go back, I couldn't operate the elevator without a key. I took the stairs up to the top floor only to learn the hard way the stairwell doors are locked as well. Now I had to go all the way back down and then disturb her to let her know I was trapped and that she had to come get me. It's just a bunch of nonsense that should never happen. When I stayed at the Marco, they gave me 3 keys upon check in so this would never happen and the room was always cool when I got back. I realize 90% of the things that annoyed me here won't bother you...the advertised king size bed being a smaller than standard Singapore king, pillows too big, towels old and rough, mini bar never replenished, no cash on hand to change $100, etc. But the two things that you need to know about are the food and the noise. The food here is not that good. The breakfast was fine. But the dinner food was mostly frozen. And that is a shame with the plethora of available fresh seafood throughout the area. My Filipino friends that I was traveling with refused to eat it after the second try. I highly recommend you take a tricycle to the Baywalk area and eat there. The second and more important thing you need to know about is the noise. There was loud music coming from nearby that went on every night except Sunday. Some days it went on longer than others. If you are a noise sensitive person, you will be bothered by it. If you decide to stay here, I'd request a room on the back side of the building facing the forest. I'm not writing this review to try to deter anybody from staying here. It's a beautiful property, the staff really tries hard for the most part, and it's very safe and secure. The location is good also with many restaurants nearby and tricycles to take you anywhere. I write this review with a negative tone to hopefully get the management to work on some of the little things that make the difference in a hotel being great instead of just good.

"Best hotel to stay in Puerto Princesa"
picky_traveller_03, 22 Juin 2017

Stayed here for three nights. Very comfortable and with complete hotel amenities. The hotel is near to banks, restaurants, convenience stores and has airport transfers. It is very accessible and near the town and airport. Rooms, staff, and overall service are great. I will definitely stay in this hotel again. Recommended for parents who would like to stay in comfort with their kids. Value for money.

"Experience Comfort at the Last Frontier"
StyleAt30, 21 Juin 2017

The main road of hotels and restaurants in Puerto Princesa are centrally located along the prominent Rizal Avenue. This was the location of the up-to-the-minute Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel, where we stayed during our charming holiday in Palawan. As our hotel driver dropped us off in the hotel foyer, I couldn't help but smile with satisfaction. My husband glanced at me and said, “We're home!” Upon entering the lobby, we were elated to see that the handsome entrance of The Ivywall Hotel was ultra-crisp, current and fresh. Furthermore, it was furnished in emblematic Filipino style interiors and décor. One could quickly see Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel's attention to detail. Guests are welcome to ooh and ahh while studying the exotic wood carvings accessible in the lobby. These woodcarvings, by the way, are handcrafted in enthralling Puerto Princesa. It is a well-known fact in ancient tradition that the locals here have a true gift with their hands. This woodcarving talent has been protected and passed on generation after generation to this very day. It was refreshing to see Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel illuminate that in such modern way for all their guests to grasp and appreciate. Before going up to your room, don't forget to look up! Surely, you'll see that the ceilings are incredibly high, making the overall atmosphere bright and vibrant. There was a ray of sunlight illuminating on us through its floor-to-ceiling glass windows as we went our way to the concierge. The check-in process was quick and professional and all came with the friendliest of smiles that the Philippine nation is known for. “Mabuhay!” they said, whose direct translation means “Long Live!” Assistance arrived in no more than a minute. Our welcoming bellboy assisted us to the third floor where we were greeted with the tallest mango trees we've ever seen in our lives. “The trees here are protected,” our bellboy said. It is typical to see hundred and thousand year old trees nestled around the city and along Palawan's famed shores. The trees looked like it has its own soul. It was as if the trees here kept secrets and stories that it was lucky enough to have bear witnessed in the span of it its long life. These islands were inhabited by the Japanese during WWII and you'll be sure to encounter a local who would be more than willing to share with you what his or her grandparents had to suffer in those times of war. The Philippines is known for its love for food and The Best Western Plus Ivywall Hotel is a shining example of that. Each morning, we were treated to a different spread of buffet every single day. It made for good conversation amongst us. Every now and then, we would ask each other, “What do you think will they be serving us for breakfast tomorrow?” Fresh tropical fruits were always on the menu. As well as an array or breakfast rice dishes and traditional Filipino breakfast staples such as delicious beef tapa and the supreme Filipino-style corned beef. Of course, the pleasant spread incorporates classic breakfast dishes that are tempting to the discerning international guests as well. The breakfast staff was proficient and convivial. If you have any custom needs, do not be afraid to ask. The kitchen chef regularly goes out to check on the spread and say hi or hello all throughout the morning. The Filipino people are widely known for excellent customer service skills. Truly, nothing is ever too hard --- especially if you would like an extra dose of those super sweet Philippine mangoes! What I truly appreciate about staying at The Best Western Plus Ivywall Hotel is the cleanliness and the comfort it provided. I got sick in this leg of my tour, perhaps due to the change of weather or environment. This is quite a typical occurrence to western travelers traveling to the Southeast. I had a slight fever. Truly, coming home and resting at The Best Western Plus Ivywall Hotel's lush beds were a lifesaver. I would never have known what I would have done if the accommodations were troublesome. The Best Western Plus Ivywall Hotel was a sanctuary of relief and relaxation. The air-conditioning was just right and the sheets were smooth and plush. I had trouble breathing at night due to the allergies that I may have acquired from my Asia tour and had to surround myself with multiple pillows around the neck and head area to encourage restored breathing. The Best Western Plus Ivywall Hotel provided all that and assisted me during my moment of weakness this holiday. Revitalized and rejuvenated, the Best Western Plus Ivywall Hotel also features its own gym facilities and a long brilliant pool in their terrace. Work on your suntan while lounging around with a good book. Sip on your papaya-mango shake and truly live the tropical dream!

"Best Hotel in Puerto Princesa only if..."
roamsweetroam, 20 Juin 2017

We had an overnight stay in this hotel before the day of our flight. It was a newly built hotel and conveniently located in the city of Puerto Princesa. You will be greeted by smiling faces of the staff at the lobby and glad that we were able to check in early as we came all the way from the exhausting journey from El Nido. They will give you a complimentary Pandan or Iced Tea Welcome drink for refreshment which tastes good. The room was quiet, clean, spacious and has a very comfortable bed. Air conditioning in the room works pretty great. The standard room that we got comes with buffet breakfast, complimentary bottled waters and full toiletries. They have nice standard pool and gym at the 3rd floor and business area with computers at the 2nd floor. They also has a complimentary shuttle service, you just have to arrange the schedule with the front desk before the day of your flight. Only one incident though that when me and my husband used the elevator and a female manager is along with us, she never effort to greet us, smile or even a warm nod; instead she just looked at us and pretend we were not there. I know to myself that she is one of the managers, not just because of her uniform but because all of the staff were greeting her and giving her courtesy. I know it was just a plain greeting, but for me, if all of your staff were doing the effort of making your clients feel at home by just simply giving a warm greeting, a smile or a nod, why wouldn't you? I am sorry but I wasn't able to get her name but the next time I'll stay in this hotel and she will still give that same attitude, I might get her full name and her attention.

"Front Office Could Do Better"
kindheartie, 18 Juin 2017

When we arrived in the hotel there were 2 staff in the front desk. When I approached the guy, he said that he was still checking in a guest who was sited on the sofa. I didn't bother to asked the girl because I thought she was part of the concierge and didn't have access to front office' software. Of course my fault to assume. The girl didn't bother greeting me and didn't bother to assist me. Such a disappointment specially when I found out after a few minutes that she can actually check me in. The whole check in took a while. I asked the guy to check my reservation using Agoda's voucher. Without looking at the e-voucher, he cut me and said he didn't have access to Agoda's system and asked my name. When I told my name, he said he didn't have any reservation under my name. I said my reservation was prepaid and maybe he should take a look at the voucher I am showing him. Without any apology, that was the time he looked at my voucher and found out that my booking name at Agoda's was different from my real name. At one point, a supervisor approached him. And guess what, the lady supervisor didn't acknowledge my presence. So now I know why the staff were not friendly at all.. The housekeeping staff, guards, waiters and utilities were a different story. The people I met on the different parts of the hotel were polite and with a ready smile.. I met again the f.o. guy who checked me in after a few minutes and he didn't bother to greet me!! I worked at a five star hotel and I know F.O. attitude is unacceptable. Great food selection during breakfast. Nice, clean and spacious room. Comfortable bed.

"The Best Staff!"
Karen A, 17 Juin 2017

It is a regular 4-star hotel, their amenities are standard with what you can find in any 4-star hotel. Breakfast - delicious but not so many choices. Room - small bed and it has a certain smell every time you enter, like moisture that did not dry up. But what sets them apart from any other hotel are their staff! They are so friendly and courteous. Whatever they're doing, they always stop to greet or to say Hi. They are very accommodating, understanding and considerate. So kudos to everyone for doing well. Thank you for giving us that hassle-free stay. :)

"Value for money."
Marina B, 15 Juin 2017

Our room was on the floor where the fitness room, outdoor pool, and spa services were. Although we did not utilize these amenities, (as you shouldn't have time to since you're in Palawan!) they looked very clean and the spa prices weren't too bloated. We got to our hotel early, so we opted to pay a 1500 php charge for checking in early. Unfortunately the previous guests messed with the router in our room -- so we did not have internet our first day there. The front desk was quick to respond, but I found that everything was better when we dealt with them in person. Also, we missed our free breakfast because we were told the wrong time for our tour. I didn't complain, we went on that Honda Bay tour -- I just got a refund and rebooked our other tours elsewhere. Beware the prices through the hotels are always more expensive than if you book with a contact. (Mine was an extremely helpful tricycle driver who I even got a business card from) Aside from these things, our stay was a good one. I would say for the price that this hotel is advertised it's well worth it even with all the mishaps. The hotel was clean, in general. Security was good as well.. some guards in the front and back. Our room also felt well-maintained. They also gave us a tour our first day there and brought our bags up. Breakfast was amazing. They had people on stand by to make fresh eggs however you wanted them. If you need a modern and clean hotel to stay at when you travel to Palawan, this might be a good investment for ya. I would give them a 7.5/10.

"Awesome Place"
Hazel M, 13 Juin 2017

The hotel is strategically located in the city, near the airport and close to nice dining places.. Staff are friendly, facilities are complete. They offer complimentary airport shuttle and make good recommendations on the places to visit.

"Short and sweet :) "
Justine M, 13 Juin 2017

As we entered the lobby, the staff welcomed us with a welcome drink. I booked a room with two twin beds using my BW points. The beds are bigger than a usual twin bed and very comfortable too. The room was very clean, I love how modern it is. I love the furnitures in the lobby and the breakfast room. They also a nice pool but we didn't get the chance to use it. Breakfast was great as well. They offer free shuttle to the airport although it is 5mins walk only from the property. Thank you BWP Ivy all! I will stay with you again next time :)

"Newer clean property in a downtown location."
Justin S, 09 Juin 2017

We stayed here for four nights and overall enjoyed the experience. The hotel itself is very clean and modern for the Philippines. The location is excellent for anyone wanting to stay in the downtown area. It's literally a 10-minute drive from the new airport. We found the front desk staff very friendly and accommodating. Upon check-in, we were provided with two complimentary drink coupons which was a nice touch. Issues or recommendations for future guests. Request a room away from the main road in front of the hotel. While not very busy at night, the typical vehicles in the Philippines are NOT quiet and this could potentially be an issue for people trying to take an afternoon nap or sleep early in the evening. Power problems. The hotel has a generator which worked great. However, the city and province really need to fix their power issues. It's not acceptable to have daily multiple power outages in this day and age. We live in another area of the P.I. and don't have these issues. The problem occurs in the switchover when the power cuts, it can wake you up or cause the A.C. to turn off. Also, we noticed when the generator kicked in it affected the water pressure and temperature of the water making it difficult to take a shower. During normal operation, the shower was very good for a Philippines hotel. Group tours from Taiwan swamping the hotel. Need I say more? Transportation, we recommend the trikes in front of the hotel. We initially met a very nice driver and kept his phone number for the duration of the stay. He had several good recommendations for us on places to eat that we would have missed.

"Highly recommended"
annacF8432ZH, 08 Juin 2017

BW Ivy wall is extremely clean, has comfortable rooms, and offers good breakfast - our experience was nothing less than exceptional. Conveniently located at the city & restaurant is within short walking distance. Would definitely recommend to everybody!

"Very Accessible and New"
Dyanne Marie L, 03 Juin 2017

Went to stay here because of a convention, hotel was nice and new. Unfortunately, my room was located at the farthest corner of the hotel i had a hard time going out because it was far from the elevators. Request for the room nearest the elevators to save energy from walking.

"Nice hotel on the main street and walking distance to a number of restaurants"
Nolin26, 01 Juin 2017

Upon entering the hotel, one smells a sweet scent that is welcoming. The room has 2 double beds which is just right for us (a family of 4 with young children). The hotel is on the main road of the city but we did not hear the street noice from our room. It is walking distance to at least 3 well-known restaurants in the area.

"Warning to Expats, Vets & Military Families"
arnettjc2002, 31 Mai 2017

Customer Care not There! We are a military family having to canx our res due to strict military orders given to my active-duty spouse. I'm still trying to resolve this, even asking for hotel credit & not be forced to pay 100% canx fee, but my sensitive situation has been completely ignored & management has been inconsiderate & insensible towards our military obligations & terrorism potential circumstances. It's even more despicable how greed is still a priority amongst BW Ivywall Management, in light of the Manchester attacks, this hotel is especially heartless. I've provided documents supporting our claim on the travel restrictions & still hoping management will reconsider & show they are military-friendly & sensitive towards our this delicate matter. The "best" they can do is offer me rebooking up to 3 mths. What a joke! I don't have the luxury & time to fly back to the Philippines, plus the government restrictions will still be in place! They know this! Just wanted to give warnings & a heads-up to All guests so you are All informed on how they operate. I'll update everyone on my status. Please wish me luck!!

"Highly recommended hotel in Puerto Princesa City"
Ogie N, 24 Mai 2017

1. Stayed for 1 night only. 2. Stayed in Room 327: a) Very comfortable bed and pillows. b) Spacious room and shower/bathroom. c) Good cable reception. Size of the TV is okay. d) Bathrobes and bath slippers are available. e) Wifi in the room is okay. 3. Breakfast buffet is decent. About 3-4 viands, fruits, waffles, eggs/omelettes, fruit juices, cereals, cold cuts, different types of bread, 4. Friendly and accommodating staff. They arranged our reservation for lunch at Ka Lui (popular restaurant in Puerto Princesa). 5. They have free airport transfers (every hour). 6. Great location - near the airport, walking distance from Kinabuch and Ka Lui (popular restaurants). 7. Decent pool area. 8. They have their own spa and gym (it is small though). 9. Free wifi. 10. I highly recommend this hotel if you're traveling either for business or vacation. This is my top choice if I'll be staying in Puerto Princesa.

"PROXIMITY IS ITS ASSET."
anaklakay, 23 Mai 2017

Less than a mile from the airport and close to most nightlife attractions and restaurants... A nice and new building but little or no yard at all!... Staffs were trying to please customers but needs more comprehension that some airline flights will arrive early and should be ready to accommodate people who arrived earlier than their hotel check in time. The breakfast buffets are exceptional with the local and foreign choices of food dishes. If you want to commute by tricycle going Baywalk or downtown direction then cross the street and hitch one that is travelling on the road already. BEWARE of those waiting tricycle by the sidewalk of this hotel--they will qoute you fares that is "unreal" compared to the real fare price!... If you have tours with transportation listed in your vacation plan then this hotel is so accessible for pick up... The nightclub is efficiently located next door-- no driving or commuting is needed as long as you can still walk back to your room after an entertaining night...(-:

"Wonderful, new hotel in the center"
Muscat_camels, 22 Mai 2017

Staff very friendly and helpful; we were able to check in 4 hours early! We stayed in a twin room and it was wide enough to fit an extra bed for one night and didn't feel crowded at all. Really comfortable bed and pillows, too -- so welcome after a long day sightseeing. The breakfast buffet had enough offerings not to feel overwhelming or limited after three days, catering to both foreign and local tastes. Food at the restaurant at night was good and reasonably priced. Hotel is a 2-minute walk to Ka Luwie, one of PP's most famous restaurants/art gallery. It is within walking distance to many restaurants and bars, but doesn't seem noisy. Excellent wi-fi. Pity they ran out of shower gel when we were there :(

"Friendly staff, beautiful decor"
drjav2017, 18 Mai 2017

The staff was super friendly and helpful; the breakfast was fantastic as the menu catered to tourists and to locals; and the decor was modern with a nod to traditional themes and materials. My sister and I stayed in a double which was roomy and the beds were very comfortable. I have two complaints, though: 1) The shower would not stay on if I wanted really hot water because of the lack of pressure and 2) I was locked inside the stairwell when I tried to just walk one flight of stairs. But, overall, I really liked this hotel and I had a fantastic visit to Palawan.

"New everything. Best in area,"
Scott I, 17 Mai 2017

This hotel was the newest we saw in PP and the breakfast was fantastic. The overall experience was very positive except for one issue at breakfast with a breakfast included booking where we had to pay at the end of the meal, We got our free breakfast the next two days.

"Perfect hotel in Puerto Princesa"
Alexx200, 17 Mai 2017

This hotel exceeded my expectations. First time in Puerto princesa and it was the best. The accommodation of tours and room was great. You can book the tours the same day you arrive with no rush. I even booked the tours for El Nido via Best Western and I had no issue. Restaurants and bars right next to the hotel. The spa is a must go. Trust me those young ladies deserve a raise Best in Palawan. Airport shuttle available. High security making sure your stay is a pleasant one. the staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back to this hotel. If you are looking for a hotel to stay in Puerto Princesa, this is the one for you!

"Lovely hotel"
Sian D, 17 Mai 2017

We stayed at this hotel when we spent a few days in Palawan and it was great. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly and always happy to help. We walked to the hotel from the airport which took about 10-15 minutes but got the free airport shuttle the hotel provided back to the airport. Was also very close to shops. The room was of good size and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was included and the food for lunch/dinner was fantastic. Could not fault it at all. Would definatley stay here again if we were in Palawan.

"Good location!"
Emmanuel Jr. B, 17 Mai 2017

The hotel does offer free pick-up/drop-off to/from Puerto Prinsesa Airport. The hotel is not far from the airport, less than a 10-minute ride. They also offer different tour packages, almost the same rate from other travel booths/offices in the area. The breakfast buffet had a limited menu. Aside from fruits and bread, there were little to not even Halal meal for Muslims. Staff were great but maybe a little more training would help (watching TV while preparing drinks at the bar, using personal phone in the middle of work, etc.)

"Great hotel, amazing staff."
Dino456, 11 Mai 2017

Stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks. Within walking distance of many good restaurants. The staff is amazing, friendly, and always willing to help. Rooms are clean, comfy beds, good breakfasts and good A/C. Overall great stay.

"Best Bartender in Palawan "
Timothy O, 11 Mai 2017

I have been to the Philippines over five times in the last few years and to Palawan three times. I have stayed at Hotel Centro, Aziza Hotel and Blue Palawan. This time I am staying at the Best Western Ivy Wall in Puerto Princesa and the hotel has been wonderful and all the staff has been great I am writing this review because of one person among the staff who stands out above the rest. James the pool bartender is absolutely the best bartender I have met here in the Philippines and that includes my trips to Makati and other parts of Manila. I don't normally write reviews but I think the Best Western made a excellent choice when they hired James he is a true asset to their company.

"A Pleasant Surprise"
Louie J, 10 Mai 2017

I had a hard time looking for a place to stay in Puerto Princesa as I am a bit picky when it comes to hotels and among the many choices and after reading reviews in Trip Advisor I chose Best Western plus. And I think I was right. The first time I entered the hotel it gave me a good feeling as the interior mixes the modern and the local designs. The hotel is relatively new and the room was very modern complete with the usual amenities. The pool was a bit small but relaxing enough as it was in the third floor and had a good view. Breakfast was good as mostly Filipino dishes were served and it offered variety of choices. This is an excellent hotel and a gem in Puerto Princesa.

"Modern and New "
User, 09 Mai 2017

I have been there 2 X now .The hotel is modern clean and chic. Compared to others in the city . On the negative side check in and check out takes about 45 plus minutes a side . Rooms are spacious enough clean and nicely appointed .

"Nice stay "
zacology, 09 Mai 2017

Very nice hotel with very polite staff, clean rooms, good breakfast and free trip to the airport. Excellent location too ; situated on Rizal street (their Main Street) , it's within walking distance to numerous restaurants and bars. Tip : It will cost 50 pesos per tricycle if you were to take one from right outside the hotel. But 10 pesos if you flag off the street.

"Very disappointed"
shelley545, 28 Avril 2017

The hôtel itself is super beautiful, it's clean and the staff at the bar, reception, restaurant, and lobby are all so nice and respectful. However as my check out date was approaching, My roommate and I each got robbed of 100 euros and 100 dollars each from our hotel room in this hotel that seemed so safe, and felt like home. Upon informing the front desk of this matter we assumed the general manager or his subordinates will get in touch with us as soon as this was communicated to him, but no we get no news from the front desk neither a manager. Then we go to ask them what is the update they tell us it is still under investigation, and that they will get back to us. Extremely disappointed by this event, as I was previously in awe about the friendliness of the staff. They are other aspects of the hotel that I could mention but this was not the reason my stay here turned bad.

"Very Nice Hotel!"

We only stayed for 1 night in Puerto Princesa and we LOVED this hotel. Breakfast is delicious and they have a free shuttle to the airport which is very nice. Staff are super friendly and courteous. We also booked our Underground river tour with them and it was very convenient. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.

"Great hotel, well above my expectations "
Charles W, 27 Avril 2017

When I saw we were going to stay at a Best Western Plus, I based my expectations on what I had seen in the US. However, once I arrived I quickly realized how far off I was. I would expect this level of service from a five star resort. Getting it here, for the price of a Best Western, was an excellent deal. The staff at the front were extremely helpful and always cheerful. The food looked exactly like the pictures and tasted great. Breakfast was always good, with lots of options. The bartender at the pool was always willing to help and made great drinks. If you are worried about running out of hot water, they have on demand water heaters in every room. Worried about losing power, their generators kick on very quickly. Need internet or wifi? Their's is stable and pretty fast. I highly recommend staying here if you visit Puerto Princesa.

"Extremely satisfied stay. Thank you"
Tymkq123, 27 Avril 2017

First time. Stayed 4 nights in a corner room. Nice, clean and spacious with full amenities. Big spread of breakfast and sumptuous too. Lobby is brightly lit and beautiful. 5 minutes from airport. Staff were all friendly and courteous. Great job!

"Perfect"
shambles10, 26 Avril 2017

Next stop after 4 days in Hong Kong for start of two week holiday around Palawan Philippines Summary of thoughts on Best Western The Good - Airport pick up - new hotel very clean and modern - Staff courteous, helpful and engaging. Camaraderie of breakfast staff in restaurant whose focus was on customer service was a pleasure to see (particularly liked young lady making omelettes) and nice to see head chef out on shop floor! - choice for breakfast - Location - Full time security guards, not that we ever felt unsafe but an added comfort - Value for money - Wifi throughout hotel including in bedroom The not so good - pool area not really practical. Limited 'relaxing' area, only two sun beds and not in the sun - poor hotel design - Lift unbelievably hot - Beds small for a tall person Observation/feedback for hotel - flowers about the hotel would be a nice added touch - Shower in bathrooms should have regular enhanced cleaning to prevent build up of mildew 4 stars Re Puerto Princesa. People very friendly. Mad busy place. Very few Europeans about. New version of Thai tuk tuk not so comfortable but still a good experience

"Great stay"
sheldon p, 25 Avril 2017

I stayed st this hotel for about a month and a half. I want the say this is a great hotel. The staff was always friendly and a helpfully. This is the best hotel in Puerto Princesa. During local power outages the generate at the hotel kicks in in seconds. The pool and the pool bar was a relaxing place to handout and unwind. When I go back I will definitely staying here. Thumbs up Ivy wall best western.

"Thank you for an excellent stay"
Rob J, 23 Avril 2017

I would like to thank all the team that works in the ivy wall hotel especially James at the pool bar his unique and excellent service really made the stay exceptional for us. We are looking forward to our next stay with you

"Western Style hotel, Nice and brand new and good value"
MrLy, 20 Avril 2017

This is the same as the Best Western chain in the US, so expect a nice and new facility. Breakfast is above average but it does not really change from day to day (comes with the stay). This hotel is in a great location! Its beside the 2 most popular restaurant in Puerto Princessa. KaLui Restaurant and Kinabuchs Grill and Bar ( I'll review later) Also has a free shuttle to the airport .. Another to note: I use Christian ( independent private shuttle for all my tour including in EL Nido) Christian - has a brand new Grand Dia Shuttle with built in Entertainment center in the van which my kids loves this especially on the trip from Puerto to El Nido. He can provide ALL of your trip needs. Tel: +639752783204

"You wont regret it!"
JYao55, 20 Avril 2017

Coming back from El Nido, I took my friend's suggestion and checked in at Best Western Ivy Wall. Conveniently located near restaurants, it us only a short 3 minute drive to the airport. Avail of the free airport shuttle of the hotel. This new hotel (less than a year old) is tastefully done. It boasts of a gym and a spa as well as a swimming pool. The rooms are spacious and equipped with all the amenities you look for in a room. Beds and pillows are comfortable . Breakfast buffet could be improved but who's complaining. The staff is friendly and helpful. Keep it up.

"Good hotel near airport in Puerto Princessa"
castaway2309, 19 Avril 2017

I think its one of best Best Western Hotels I've ever stayed. Very big and mordern, even got swimming pool. Service is good. They have bar and also Spa and restaurants here in this hotel so we didn't need to go outside. Free wifi. Minus point : My partner had sandwich from pool bar and got stomache next few days after so be careful. Hotel offers free transportation to airport which is good

"Good Value for Money"
vanessaOrange, 19 Avril 2017

Breakfast was super good. Although i had problems with the water heater the engineer responded very quickly. This building is quiet new, just 1yr old as of this writing so i was expecting the facilities are still nice and it met our expectation. The sensor in the elevator though was hyper sensitive it wouldnt close if the room is too full. The receptionists are also accomodating and friendly and fast to respond. And this is near the airport and good restaurants too. I highly recommend this place.

"Palawan trip"
Arlene B, 13 Avril 2017

There were 3 of us travelling to Palawan. Our stay at the Best Western was excellent. We had a very large room with a double bed and 2 single beds, plenty of room for the 3 of us. Very nice welcoming amenities to include robes, slippers, and a generous amount of toiletries. All 3 of us are very particular about hotel rooms and the Best Western met our standards and exceeded them. The complimentary breakfast buffet was fabulous. We arranged 4 tours through the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Our last day there we checked out early as we had an all day tour scheduled. After our tour we were provided access to a shower room to freshen up before our flight home. All the staff were accommodating and extrememly friendly. Robert was especially helpful with our luggage our last day.

"Beautiful hotel, good location, horrible customer service."
Veelzie, 05 Avril 2017

Pro's: Location is close to airport and ammenities, free airport shuttle, decent breakfast, very clean and new hotel. Con's: Horrible customer service. We booked a room with two double beds for a party of 3- on arrival were given a room with one bed and a cot- when speaking with front end staff trying to rectify situation they were very condescending, dismissive, and told us that type of room "didn't exist" which was a blatant lie as all you have to do is look on their website. I emailed the hotel manager and we were upgraded to a family suite. It smelled awful but I would have looked past that if the air conditioner worked properly we had to call three times (once at 3 am) to get them to restart it. Hard to have broken AC when its +33 outside, and no ventilation in the room...Still could have gotten over the off/on AC issue but the last straw was at check out. Every room has a minibar and a fridge, when we got upgraded our room didn't have either as it wasn't being used prior to that...we called for a fridge but didn't think about the minibar because we didn't need it. At check out the front end staff tried to charge us for consuming the minibar items that were never in the room to begin with!! Took me 45 minutes of fighting with the front end staff to get them to LISTEN to me and the explanation of why the items were never in the room to begin with, and only after housekeeping "remembered" that they never filled the minibar! BRUTAL and so disrespectful. What was the most disappointing was that when I emailed the manage to tell him what happened he didn't really seem to care and offered some bland apology. Not a good way to ensure you have return customers and to build up your hotel.. I definitely won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

"highly recommended"
Bill C, 05 Avril 2017

i would think the best hotel in puerto princesa . Would most likely stay here every time i am here . breakfast was a excellent spread . hotel pick up and drop off was very convenient . location was near two most popular restaurant ki na butch and ka louie .

"Resetting low 4 star hotel standers 1 disgruntled customer"
Ozpaddo, 31 Mars 2017

If you think its acceptable for a 5 star hotel to * have checkin staff not serve the next in line and make you wait another 10min ontop of the 15min already waited and think its acceptable * have the maintence man take 20 min to dawdle up to the room to fix the 'no hot water issue' for the second time!!! * only leave 2 tissues in the box * when reporting issues only empathise but offer no solution Well this hotel is for you but it isnt for me. Wont be staying when i return back from El Nido. All thats left now is some 'thanks for choosing our hotel and we are sooo sorry' smart remarks by the manager. Reading the previous reviews paints a picture - best to be avoided.

"a pleasant surprise"
Teniah W, 30 Mars 2017

We stayed here at the end of our trip around the Philippines. We were very grateful to have working and very clean toilets, amazing showers and a beautiful bed. The food in the restaurant downstairs was unreal! I knew it wouldn't be bad but their salmon dishes and soups were beautiful. Very impressed with the overall service and cleanliness. For a very reasonable price it was a great place to stay and refresh.

"It's what you need!"
FlakeyApollo, 24 Novembre 2016

This place is what you need really! Puerto Princesa is a place where you should get out of your room and explore the island! Tourist spots are everywhere! So this hotel is good because you'll have a good night sleep and a great shoer and breakfast everyday you're there! This is what you need! No hassle at all! Everything is nice and everybody is awesome! This place is beautiful too and they are not that expensive! Reasonable prices and beautiful place = PERFECT!

"Good location and pleasant hotel"
Merrywanderers2014, 24 Novembre 2016

This is a relatively new hotel. We had planned to stay 3 days and extended to a week. Staff are friendly and it is very safe with security on both entry doors and key swipe to get to accomodation levels. Rooms are spacious with free wifi. In room dining was great and reasonably priced. Breakfasts had a good choice but some of the hot options were overly salted and not hot enough. The pool is a nice retreat but only half is in the sun and there are only a couple of sun beds. A few more on the deck that gets the sun would be great for sun lovers. We organised tours with the trike drivers outside the hotel saving 600 pesos for two on the Underground River Cruise and about half on a trip to Honda Bay. The latter was fantastic as we ended up on a private boat and the captain and deckhand assisted us find the best places for snorkelling. There is a great food court approximately 200 metres down the road, turn left as you go out of the hotel and cross the road. You are spoiled for choice and it is very cheap. The Thai restaurant, Chilli and Lime was particularly good. The hotel is in great location. Close enough to walk to the town, 5 mins from the airport but not too noisy. Free efficient shuttle bus is provided to and from the hotel with a lovely driver, Ral. Well worth considering.

"Recommend highly"
Scott B, 21 Novembre 2016

Location is perfect. Only 3 minutes from airport. Great Staff. Free breakfast is great and restuarant is good also. All the tours can be booked from front desk. Great getaway for couples and families. Staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Hotel van met us at the airport with a simple email request. Will stay again.

"Very Expensive Brunch Buffet & Not Worth It"
Teng F, 16 Novembre 2016

My friends and I tried their Brunch Buffet on September 25, 2016 (Sunday) at Anibong located on the ground floor, and were quite shocked by how expensive we had to pay for something ahm... sorry to say, not worth repeating again. At P1,288 per pax, there wasn't a lot of choices on the buffet table, and much of the food tasted bland. The shrimps that we found served on the buffet table looked like they were kept in the ice for a very long time. It was a good thing the buffet had at least three kinds of cheese (if I'm not mistaken); the cheese table saved me. Despite the disappointing brunch buffet, the hotel is nice and clean; it's in a location that's near the airport so there's no chance of you being late in catching your flight.

"Not a great experience"
Monit G, 15 Novembre 2016

I am here while writing this review and i am gonna be here for next 3 days as well. I dont think much will change in the next few days, if it does i will update. 1. I randomly see red ants in the rooms, pic attached, i am travelling with kids and i see this as the most scary thing around. 2. I am a vegetarian and while i understand there wont be much options for us i have been lucky with almost all hotels who proactively take care of this by preparing something that suits our diet. Here i had a difficult time where i was offered to eat plain boiled rice. I had to convince them to cook it with veggies or something to make it more edible. The staff isnt attentive and u are almost by your own if u need anything. 3. I came from boracay and probably i was spoiled by the attentiveness and friendliness i received there. This isn't the case here. I ordered for a bucket of ice and nobody bothered it to deliver even after a reminder. 4. The price for the room is good 5. This is a more of a business hotel, though many tourists are seen around but trust me if u are a tourist skip this hotel (wearing a singlet is not allowed). 6. My first cut on palawan is its a boring place. A couple of attractions nearby are honda bay and underground river cave. U should go directly to el nido (may be a flight from manila directly - i dont know if it still exists).

"new, clean and near the airporr"
Lindsay D, 13 Novembre 2016

Located around 5mins from pps airport, near the famous kalui restaurant and city center. clean and decent size room, food is great, staffs are friendly. love the hotel design. complimentary breakfast and transfers, check in and out is fast. they can also book your tour package same amount as the travel agencies.

"Great localization, great staff, great room"
Jakub G, 13 Novembre 2016

The hotel is situated 5min to the airport but still in the middle of the city and a 2min walk to great restaurants. Staff is superb. We had one issue because it was saturday and in the nearby restaurant 10meters close they played live music. We were very tired after the flight and wanted to sleep but it was impossible because of the noise. After the call to reception I was informed that they will play till 11 or more...so I came to the reception and at first they didnt want to help me telling they are fully booked. After my saying that its their issue to solve the problem..The room on the quiet side of the hotel has found..its a little pity that it didnt find after my first request. The room we get had shower broken but they fixed it quickly. Overall I gave them 5* but I still think that reception didnt work well in that situation trying to ignore my problem. The room is modern, spacious with nice bathroom. The pool is nice, we tried massages they are in reasonable price in good quality. The breakfast is delicous with variety of food. The hotel also provided us a free transfer to the airport. Great choice for everyone Who stays in Pp.

"Value for money"
Anshul B, 12 Novembre 2016

It is a beautiful property near airport. We got nice room excellent room which was quite spacious . it had whatever you require. Two areas of improvement , 1st swiming pool is not temprature controlled. Secondly, the food taste can be better. Having said I will be a repeat customer due to excellent customer service.

"Excellent Central Hotel In Puerto Princess"
valladaresjeffery, 09 Novembre 2016

Fantastic accommodation rooms very spacious, clean and modern Staff most accommodating, always smiling and helpful Front desk exceptional, the girls were always very polite and helpful Breakfast and food lovely, any request was attended.

"Best hotel in Puerto Princesa"
miadan2016, 04 Novembre 2016

Booked last October for 3 nights and was really satisfied with the hotel.Room was spacious and clean, pillows are the best! Had the best buffet breakfast with variety everyday. Staff were courteous and helpful especially the driver Ralph Ferrer who picked us up and drop us at the airport. Price was also reasonable. Only downside is the a la carte lunch we had upon our arrival which took ages to come (we were already starving as it was already late afternoon.) and disappointed by the portions which was too small. There are other restaurants close to the place anyway so we never had our other meals there again. But I will definitely recommend it to other guests and will definitely come back when opportunity arise.

"New hotel near airport"
earthhaven, 03 Novembre 2016

This is a relatively new hotel very near the airport. Offers complimentary shuttle to & from the airport. Nice spacious lobby & rooms. We booked 4 nights at this hotel. Complimentary Breakfast is good. There are many restaurants near the area, Kalui is just a few minutes walk. A convenience store & pharmacy is also nearby. The NCC shopping mall is just a few minutes via tricycle. You can book a day trip to Dos Palmas Island Resort since their booking office is just beside the mall. Weekdays are P1340 while weekends are P1840 per person inclusive of buffet lunch & use of their facilities except their swimming pool. P40 is for the environmental fee. The hotel also offer tour bookings. The hotel is along the main road, so transportation via tricycle (with side car) is not a problem. Fare is quite cheap at P10 to P20 pesos per ride/way. You can give additional for longer rides like going to Robinson's Mall. Don't get the ones standing by or just waiting at the side of the hotel or Ugong Rock restaurant since they charge double. Note that there are only a few taxis & jeepneys operating in Puerto Princesa.

"A stop before a flight to Manila "
IdanBi007, 28 Octobre 2016

We found Puerto Princesa as not the nicest city to stay at. So with this starting point, we looked for the best hotel in the city. The best Western was by far the best possible choice. A modern hotel, with a nice staff and good business center (free of charge with a printer - we didn't have our mobile phones since they were stolen in el nido) The hotel has a nice small swimming pool and nice breakfast. There is a shuttle service in and from the airport.

"Booked deluxe with transfer, welcome drink etc - BUT no pick up, no welcome drink, room not ready! "
Katharine N, 28 Octobre 2016

I booked a packaged rate (including airport transfer, welcome drink and massage) but no one came to pick me up. I was lucky that the driver for Floral Villarosa offered me a lift from the airport (Guess where I've decided to move to tomorrow?!) When I arrived at Best Western check in, I informed front desk that I had to make my own way to the hotel, and all I received was a quiet "oh, sorry". I wasn't offered a welcome drink even though guests before me were. In addition, although I checked in a 8pm, I was told the hotel didn't have the queen bed I requested. (i was offered a better room but) I had to wait till 9pm before I could receive my key. I'm currently lying on very a high pillow which feels more like I'm lying on a balloon and not a pillow. I was told the hotel only has one type of pillow! Food good, polite staff, pretty and clean hotel though. Regardless, I think I'll hesitate to book this hotel again.

"Aside from the poor service, this hotel has it all"
KPow10, 25 Octobre 2016

The space itself is perfect - centrally located, everything is new, tastefully decorated and the rooms are large, clean and spacious. We used the pool and gym facilities and were satisfied and the buffet breakfast was excellent value for the money with a lot of different options. The only downside, which has a major impact on my rating was the service. The staff seem inexperienced in guest service and resolving issues. We only had two nights in Puerto Princesa and we wanted to book a firefly tour which the hotel advertised they could arrange for us. After confirming the boat availability with the travel agent and arranging a driver, the hotel staff advised us that the driver was on his way and to wait in the lobby. Our party of 3 waiting for over 45 minutes before the driver finally arrived. The drive to the firefly location was an additional 45 minutes and when we arrived, someone greeted us and told us they were closed for the evening for a party. Party?? Didn't our hotel call to confirm availability?? So we got there, turned right around and spent the next 45 minutes driving back to the hotel. As annoying as it was to waste all that time driving back and forth for no reason, we sucked it up and figured these things happen. When we arrived back at the hotel to inform the front desk what had happened, they called the travel agent to see what happened and rather than apologizing for arranging a tour that wasn't actually available, they said it was a misunderstanding so they will only charge us for the fuel to and from the firefly location. So not only did you waste our evening, but you want ME to pay you for wasting my time? Absolutely not. At this point we were voicing our displeasure with this treatment and after some discussion they agreed to pay for the fuel. The staff need further training on service and should use another travel agent if they can't relay accurate information for their guests' requests.

"Spacious and clean room"
Hadas I, 25 Octobre 2016

Located a few meters from the airport and gives a free airport shuttle. Thet staff were great and made us feel at home, espacially charming Johana. we had one small bad taste experience - when we checked in we agree with the manager on a price for the whole stay, on the check out it wasnt updated in the front desk. This was awkward and made us feel rude. The room was spacious and very comfy. It was new and clean. The food in the restaurant is recomended - we loved the baked salmon. They have room service and a pool with a small deck bar. We loved our stay.

"amazing!"
Sabrina Z, 20 Octobre 2016

we stayed four nights at best western and we were very confident. the hotel opened just a few months before and everything looks new. quiet rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. we enjoyed it! it's located in the center of puerto princesa and restaurants are very close.

"Impressive New Hotel"
MAIA518, 16 Octobre 2016

Stayed here for weekend relaxation with my family. And I would say it met our expectation for a wonderful R&R. Good location. Courteous and accomodating staff. Elegant spacious rooms. Buffet breakfast is A+. Value for money. Highly recommended.

"The best place to stay in Palawan"
QueenTraveller19, 16 Octobre 2016

This is an excellent hotel.I can't think of anything bad about this place. The room is very nice, neat, well maintained, smells good and most importantly very comfortable to stay after a tiring day of touring the city.Staffs are very polite and they have a free airport transfers. Breakfast starts as early as 6:00am. So for those who wakes up early to get a glimpse of Palawan, just head on to their delicious choices of breakfast buffet.

"Feels very homey"
jangclowd, 14 Octobre 2016

This hotel feels so luxurious yet feels like home. Room is large and the bed is very enticing to sleep in. Pool is also awesome and is definitely a great place to hang out. The hotel feels very modern and the breakfast buffet is great, though some staff needs to give equal treatment to both local and foreign tourists which I believe is the only thing lacking in this hotel.

"Hotel ok. Team clueless about their Rewards program."
querulant85, 14 Octobre 2016

Stayed twice in September for a total of 6 nights. Positive: The Hotel is overall nice and clean. Rooms are spacious and Internet, even though interrupted a couple of times, terrific for Palawan standards. There is a free shuttle to the nearby Airport & stuff is generally nice. Price was good at around 2700 Php. negative: Bearkfast is boring and the smoked salmon they serve smells odd. Anyhow it seems completely strange to me to try to serve smoked salmon imported from Chile or Norway which is extremely hard to ship to such a remote island when there is so much good quality local Seafood around. (However I have seen their set up for the sunday brunch which consisted of many juvenile Lobsters which is neither a good idea to serve as they are heavily overfished and should at least only be bought at mature sizes). Upon check in I asked to get credited Miles and More points as Best Western rewards was running a point promo by that time. The people at the desk seemed clueless on what to do so I aksed their Manager the next day if she knew how to credit the points. She assured me that everything is done already and only a matter of days. I had a not so good feeling that this would really happen, so I asked her and her colleagues almost every day of my stay if they are sure the points would be credited. They assured me that everything was ok but of course 4 weeks after my stay I still do not have any points yet. This is really disappointing. I understand that this is a new hotel and that the stuff might not be trained yet on how to handle reward credits etc. but I really do not appreciate to be lied to.

"Very pleasent stay"
Zero1One, 12 Octobre 2016

Staying at this hotel was very pleasent and comfortable. All of the staff were very supportive, friendly and helpful. The breakfust comes in buffet style and provides international and also local foods. All of them were great. Sometimes the food ran out, but just asking the staff for refilling wasn't any problem at all. If you are looking for a better location on Palawan, this hotel might not be the first joice, since it is located in Puerto Princesa, whereas the more popular and well-known spots are around El Nido or Borocay. However, if you want to explore some quiet beaches and country-side around, or just drop by for a night heading to another place on Palawan, the Best Western Hotel will provide you with a very pleasent stay and will be a perfect stay. Also great if you want to just relax at a place, not so crowded by tourist, but with more infrastructure around like restaurans, malls and cinemas.

"4 star experience for a price of 2 star"
Frederick T, 11 Octobre 2016

3 nights is very short staying in this hotel. Published rate for deluxe room is php6100 per night, but very fortunate that i spent only 14××× for the 2 rooms for 3 nights from a discounted price in Agoda..All the Hotel staffs are very nice specially mr. Ral who pick up and drop us at the Airport and the one who is always assisting me with all my needs ..The experience is remarkable, the rooms are spacious and clean just like a typical 4 or 5 star hotel rooms. Since this is a newly operated hotel, the ambiance and smell of the hotel is very fresh and clean. But the highlight of our stay is the Superb Breakfast..a lot of options for the buffet breakfast.. all food taste very nice..I miss the experience and the food. Next time when I comeback here, I will make it 5 nights for a longer stay.

"Super hotel. Very American feel with Filipino hospitality "
marQ_Qram, 10 Octobre 2016

5 stars for great value, location, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful decor, great breakfast, and comfortable rooms. This place is located approximately 5 mins from the airport. Great location since it is about 5 mins drive to the city. It is walking distance to shops, restaurants, karaoke bar, and everything you could possibly need. I love the fact that our stay came with free massage. We arrived at 9:30pm and after checking in, the front desk staff helped us order food for delivery and schedule a 10:00pm in room massage. AMAZING! The room was spacious although no balcony. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was super clean, complete with most toiletries you'll need, and it was roomy. The wifi worked and had strong signal. The complimentary breakfast buffet was superb! Their juices and espresso drinks were amazing! The Filipino and western options in their dish option is enough to please everyone. The ambiance, cleanliness, and decor is something to brag about. You will almost forget you're in the Philippines. They have. Small gym and a small pool area with a bar. I will definitely stay here again. Special thanks to Sharmaine for being super helpful, kind, and accommodating. THANK YOU!!!

"Great Hotel"
Jamie O, 09 Octobre 2016

Great, Clean and modern hotel within short distance of bars, shops and restaurants. Good breakfast buffet (although they could mark the foods slightly better for those with food allergies). Slightly bad internet speed, but that's the case with most of Puerto Princesa to be honest. And housekeeping replaced the complimentary toothbrushes daily which wasn't exactly necessary from an environmental aspect - albeit good customer service. It was pouring it down when we were due to go to the airport - but they pulled the van around and gave us a ride the 10 minutes to the airport without charge. Fantastic service.

"Best hotel in pps"
Keren M, 04 Octobre 2016

Very very clean and beautiful, good breakfast, excellent service, big and comfortable rooms. The pool is also good. Close to the airport. Only 30 min from honda bay. Im highly recommanded on this hotel:):):)

"Superb!"
Scott M, 02 Octobre 2016

We only stayed one night but it was fabulous for the price! The food we ordered from room service was nearly dearer than the room but soooo worth it! Staff we super friendly and the breakfast bar - OMG yummo!! Would definitely stay again, and it also has a free shuttle to the airport - although it's only 1km up the road!

"We loved it"
Edmund D, 28 Septembre 2016

Offers airport transfer. It's only 10 minutes from the airport. My fiance and I stayed here for 5 nights with no regrets. Staff is very hospitable which is very important. Very clean and your room was cleaned daily. We will definitely stay here again.

"Great Stay - Wonderful Personnel!"
HappyDays11112016, 27 Septembre 2016

Stayed 4 nights. Great brand new hotel located near airport and town. Rooms are clean and breakfast offering is very good. What stands out the most is the professionalism and kindness of the personnel. We needed help with a sick child and the personnel really went out of their way to help us. We are grateful for the very nice staff we had the chance to meet on this very special trip. Salamat po - to this wonderful team!

"One of the best hotels in Philippines province"
DanilaOrlantsev, 25 Septembre 2016

I travel frequently to Puerto and for this trip I saw the new addition of the recently opened Best Western. I booked there for a change and was pleasantly surprised. I am often very critical, but here do not have much to say...perhaps bigger selection of desserts at breakfast would be welcomed. Seriously, how often do you find smoked salmon outside of Metro Manila for breakfast?? Well done.

"Superb! "
Nurfahima A, 24 Septembre 2016

The place to stay if you want convenience! Airport is 3 minutes away (free shuttle by hotel as well), best restaurants recommended by the tour guides are literally across the road or just beside the hotel. Facilities are brand new because they just opened. Staff are also very friendly and helpful. Taken care of very well during our stay there. Thank you!

"Elegance redefined"
Ingrid C, 21 Septembre 2016

A haven in the heart of Puerto Princesa after a day in the sun, sea and sight-seeing activities the town has to offer. Efficient staff. Sumptuous breakfast buffet. We're definitely going back should we visit this lovely town again.

"Short and Sweet Stay"
vacaymode, 17 Septembre 2016

Stayed in this cute hotel with a friend. I love the wood interiors. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed, strong AC, decent Internet, and good breakfast. Location is also good. It's very clean as well. Since it's a short visit, we didn't get to try their pool, spa, and restaurant other than breakfast. We will definitely stay here again.

"Awesome!"
pretty t, 14 Septembre 2016

I was there Sept. 5-9 2016 beautiful and very clean hotel I super love their rooms its spacious and sanitary I love their strong wifi connection and their food as well. I really love my stay there even for a short period of time.

"Young solo female"

Negatives: As a solo female guest in my early twenties, I found that many of the hotel staff seemed almost distrustful of me- which was very unenjoyable. The man picking me up from the airport seemed to become strange when I answered that I was travelling alone when he asked... the reception staff lacked professionalism and felt they would have preferred if dealing with a man at check in. The were also not very helpful on occasions when I called- to ask for a charger which they even had listed as a service in the welcome information in the room. When I asked for an umbrella on my way out one day the porter seemed reluctant to lend me one as though I would not return it and asked for my room number a little rudely. The man who was at the pool in the morning would stand and openly and noticeably look at my body as I got out of the pool which was embarrassing and inappropriate. There were also no toiletries such as shampoo or conditioner or body wash in my room on arrival so I had to call down for some which took a long time to arrive. These were also not replenished when my room was made up the next day. Positives: The hotel itself is new and is very nice. The rooms were also very nice and new. The food- prices and taste were good. Decent size pool for swimming lengths. Overall I would not recommend if in the same demographic as me as it was very uncomfortable.

"A trendy hotel, but comes for a price..."
Rphyadav, 06 Septembre 2016

This is a trendy hotel. It is located very close to the airport. It is a new hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. The buffet breakfast was more than enough although they had less vegetarian options. They were able to cook an Indian vegetarian dinner for me, although it was not on the menu. The taste of that was okay. The service was excellent. Of course, the trendiness comes for a price. It cost me 50% more than Holiday Suites, which is located close to the only modern mall (with cinema) in Puerto Princesa. Hence, I moved to Holiday Suites during my subsequent visit.

"Nice stay "
Mxr14816, 01 Septembre 2016

I stayed here for a few nights at the end of August. This is a nice hotel. When I stayed I understand it had been open for about 10 weeks. Everything is what you would Exocet. Very nice staff hotel is super clean and I had no complaints. Resultant was good and it's central to all the local bars that you would wan to visit. Gym was compact but good enough the pool was two lanes for swimming and loungers in the shade. There is a smoking area by the pool. If I go back to Palawan. I would stay here again.

"Top notch hotel in Puerto Princesa"
Stephanie A, 31 Août 2016

This hotel is definitely the best hotel in Puerto Princesa (I've tried 2 other hotels before) and I am so glad we decided to try this one. The service was amazing and the people working there were all very friendly, helpful and pleasant. Two thumbs up to all of them! The room was spacious and cozy, and it had all the amenities you could think of to make your stay enjoyable and confortable. The pool area is nice too and a great place to relax and unwind. And the buffet breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices. I'll definitely stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

"Beautiful new hotel, amazing staff, wonderful experience"
smoberly, 30 Août 2016

I was at the Best Western Ivywall for business...we brought a customer in to town for a meeting that we held at the hotel. The staff are the friendliest, most accommodating that I have ever experienced. They have been very well trained and delivered the highest level of customer satisfaction. The hotel is only about six weeks only, so it is still in very pristine condition. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The restaurant is very good, I enjoyed the excellent breakfast buffer while there. For our meeting, again, the staff went above and beyond to make sure that every detail was addressed. (The bath towels are awesome--really huge!) The pool area is very nice and the internet works well there--I spent one morning working by the pool. All in all, a really great experience...the management and staff are to be congratulated for their outstanding service.

"A place that stands out."
Artisanmanpalawan, 28 Août 2016

Well designed, attention to detail, as one expects from 4 star. Went with friends, ate, drank had fun and overnighted, then did the breakfast, just great! Staff were well trained, happy and attentive. The GM was a Gent and very helpful and wears a suit almost as good as me. Chef was open, cool and gave us a tour. Never had time for the Gym or pool, but both look great, next time... My parents are visiting over the festive season and they will be in the BW. I gave this full marks as this is a new opening and know with the current GM and his chosen staff the BW will forge forward and beat expectations. R/

"All good except the gym"
Clarence_Beeks, 26 Août 2016

Stayed two nights. Hotel appeared new and fresh. Staff was very pleasant and helpful; security was also present. Rooms were very comfortable. The television in the room was flatscreen, HD and had about 100 channels (many in HD). Customers present were a wide variety. Parking was available and the wifi was decent for basic Internet functions (I did not attempt to stream anything). Breakfast buffet was good. Room bathroom duly noted "Tap water is not safe to drink." Rain shower head in the bathroom. Outdoor pool. Bed was comfortable. My only gripe was the fitness room - the treadmill and stationary bike were of low quality and just about useless. Dumbbells present but only up to 25 kilos each.

"Best in Puerto Princesa Without Doubt"
visancti, 24 Août 2016

The hotel is very new. It is an excellent hotel I stayed there for business two separate weekends in July. The decor is plush, the rooms and room corridors are carpeted, the bed is very good (but not memory foamed). The shower door is non-existent (somewhat irritating but I blame the architect, not the hotel management), wifi is very strong. Buffet breakfast is the best I have partaken in all Palawan. Staff are well trained. Inside the hotel, you could feel like you are abroad. This hotel will hold its own among the good hotels in Hongkong and elsewhere.

"Not your typical continental breakfast"
Carmelisa P, 17 Août 2016

I live in the states (specifically Los Angeles) and out here, Best Western isn't usually your go-to place to stay - not because of bad reviews but it just looked like a motel from the outside. So when I heard that we were booked for this place, I was just expecting a simple room with a bed and bathroom & nothing else - especially in the Philippines. Sure, my expectations were low but even so, I can honestly tell you that this has been one of my favorite hotel experiences ever. When we arrived at the airport, we were surprisingly greeted by a driver by name (didn't expect that) and brought to our hotel in a fairly new van just five minutes away. Once we got onto the drive way, my brother and I were shocked by the beautiful & modern glass entrance. Inside, was very open, sleek and just overall pleasing to the eye. Whoever designed it did a very good job. Upon check-in, we were handed juices and shown to our room. It was just my brother and I so we were happy to find two white & comfortable XL twin beds and a raining shower. Overall, the room was a decent size and it was beautiful. Another part that I thought was really cool was how you have to put in your key card in this slot by the entrance to power the room. Then once take your key out to leave, everything (including outlets) shuts off to save power. (how eco-friendly is that!?) As for your complimentary breakfast - let me tell you - this isn't your ordinary continental breakfast with bagel & cream cheese. Every morning is different. You have your fresh juice (mango will forever be my favorite), fresh fruit (cut so beautifully that I didn't want to mess it up), different meats, garlic rice, eggs, coffee, appetizers - I can't even name them all. AND if you don't see what you're looking for - for example, they have scrambled eggs but you want sunny side up, you can request it. My brother and I literally woke up at 5:30am every morning to get ready and be downstairs by 6am just to eat. It was my favorite part. Overall, the hotel and staff is great. Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you're happy during your stay & I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting. No matter the cost. Xo, Carmelisa

"A modern getaway "

"Best Western Puerto Princesa"
nightcrawler66, 13 Août 2016

Very new hotel and excellent location. 5 minutes away from the airport and walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Has a cosy little pool with a bar. The gym is also kinda small but good enough for a quick workout. Hotel staffs are all very friendly and breakfast is not fantastic but good enough. I would recommend to stay here if you want to be strategically located. This is the first international branded hotel in Palawan so it cannot be wrong. The only complaint that I have is that they did not change new towels for you everyday. You will need to request for new towels daily. Other than that all seems to be very nice. We rented a car to explore Puerto Princesa and the car park is free and in the basement. I stayed in early August for 4 nights. Very pleasant stay and would highly recommend.

"Livi g Up to its Name-BEST Western"
J O, 13 Août 2016

Was booked on this newly opened hotel on a recent business trip. The hotel's location is excellent as it at the city center and a 3min drive way from the airport. the ambience of the hotel, the rooms, its total look was aesthetically beautiful and classy. For others who may not want the long walk to the rooms from the elevator, best to request for rooms near it. The breakfast was okay, you will good choices to start the day. Service is ok but still there may be room for improvement such as speed. a minor glitch experienced was they were not able to take note of a prior reservation made during breakfast but the one in charge was able to make up for the shortcoming. Very promising hotel in the heart of the city.

"Smart choice in Puerto Princesa"
ManilaGingersnap, 12 Août 2016

A brand new place near the airport, The Ivywall is conveniently near most places you need to go in Puerto Princesa. The rooms are a good size and the bathroom was very clean. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and I especially liked the croissants which were nice and flaky (and I'm picky about my croissants). Everyone was helpful and accommodating. We had a late departure flight and they gave us access to the showers by the pool after we spent the day in Honda Bay. It was also a plus that they provide free shuttles to and from the airport. The very popular Ka Lui restaurant is practically across the street so consider that for dinner. Overall, this is the best hotel you will find if you need to stay in the city. I would definitely stay here again.

"Heavenly experience! such a HOME away from home ??"
hazeLhizon, 11 Août 2016

I've stayed here for the entire week just to have a quick escape from the noise and traffic in manila, I never thought that I will be so attached and definitely felt at home .its like staying in a 5star hotel in manila! Staffs were all so accomodating and all were genuinely smiling all the time. its like I never felt alone , the service in Anibong restaurant were excellent, Food starting from breakfast buffet up to Alacarte selections were all superb! its a mix of filipino and international cuisines.I actually forgot that Im on diet ???? I've almost tried all their selections but the grilled salmon and Ivywall burger were amazingly delicious and mouthwatering! and oh! dont forget the ANIBONG SALAD which I loved the most! its totally A MUST TRY !!! the cheesecake had become my comfort food right after swimming on their relaxing pool. the gym is simply amazing to work out too. The Food and Beverage Manager Jeffrey Razal helped me out on what could be the bestest meals to try everday, he has given me an excellent personalized service. they know my preferences already specially the wine Expressione(malbec/cabernet sauv) every after dinner. I would also like to commend your General Manager Sylvere Le Gall for having a great team! thumbs up!! He is very personable and knows how to take care of his guests. I'm planning to come back on November(that soon!) and bring my friends/family. I will DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

"Review on the food of the restaurant"
keshie07, 11 Août 2016

My friends and I (5 of us) went on a dinner date night yesterday to try the restaurant of Ivy Wall. We had high expectations because the place was fabulous and new and 4-star. We had hoped the food was the same. Reading reviews on TA also added to the expectation as most seemed pleased with their food. Disclaimer: this is of course my personal rating and judgement. To be honest, when we had our dishes, we liked the presentation and the serving seemed big, which was a plus. But as soon as we started eating, we weren't so wowed by what we ordered. We tried out 5 different dishes (I had the Chicken Tandoori), the others had Filipino dishes of Kare Kare, Adobo in ginata, grilled salmon, anibong salad and anibong iced tea. Overall, the food wasn't bad and that wasn't the point. We just didn't feel it was anything special or anything that would stand out in Puerto Princesa. We're locals and have tried almost all the restaurants in town, I think this one needs to amp it up so people will want to keep coming back. All of us had the same judgment on the food. It was subpar for a 4-star hotel and we hope Ivy Wall improves on their food so that the money will worth it. It's a shame because the interiors of the restaurant were so nice, and it was quiet and lovely and perfect for date nights. I would also like to comment on the service. The waitstaff and servers were great and very accommodating. :)

"Excellent hotel - staff were perfect"
Iain B, 10 Août 2016

My wife and I stayed here in August 2016 for 3 nights. The rooms were excellent for what you pay - we'd been ripped off a few times in El Nido before heading to PP. It's a pretty standard hotel but what sets it apart is the staff. They all seem genuinely proud to work in the hotel - the manager has obviously cultivated a strong work ethic and a friendly atmosphere. The food is pretty good, for what you'll find in the Philippines. The breakfast, in particular, stands out. Thank you! Will definitely stay again.

"Friendly staff, tasty food, sweet dreams"
Lesya2311, 03 Août 2016

I know several hotels in Puerto Princesa, this might be the best one. The rooms are spacious, very clean. Dream bed with super comfortable mattress, I could spend the whole day in this bed! The swimming pool is refreshing. It has a nice chill out area where you can have some drinks. A well-equipped gym is also available. Maybe some yoga mats would complete the professional equipment. At the hotel bar you can have good wine and other drinks. The food in the restaurant was delicious, I had a salmon steak and I tried also the Pesto-Pasta. Both dishes were impeccable. Don't forget to try the cheese cake, it's a delight! Also the breakfast in the morning did not deceive us! Great Choise of philippino and continental breakfast. Sweet and savory choices. All in all a beautiful new hotel in philippino modern art design, inviting atmosphere and very helpful and friendly staff. We'll be back for sure!

"A perfect family celebration."

"Great new hotel, great staff, large rooms, superb breakfast"
FouadDiouman, 30 Juillet 2016

Extremely satisfied by this great new hotel, great value and great staff. Personal attention by Mr Sylvain the GM. Almost no teething troubles for such a new building! Close to perfection. The few minor niggles: hot water in shower was not always available due to pressure but hot weather made this ok; at arrival, they were too quick to tell me that I had to pay more because of my daughter (contrary to booking) but another employee checked and they rectified their mistake by themselves. At departure they forgot to add one extra breakfast per day to my bill! I told them and they then added it. So, these were just some beginner's mistakes, shall we say. Great hotel, great value. Very special breakfast with great coffee, self service (bean to cup) automatic machine, my favourite. They also organised various tours for us and offered a minimal boxed breakfast for free. Nice touch. Last point: great pool on 3rd floor, nice to relax when you have spent the whole day outside. Gym very small but it's not that important on this magic island.

"Perfect location, cozy rooms and great food!"
Carla A, 28 Juillet 2016

Staying at the newest hotel (and the only international brand) in Puerto Princesa City I was so thrilled upon knowing that I will be the first one to occupy the room I was assigned to. The hotel is conveniently located at near the airport (five minutes away) and is a mere walking distance away from great bars and restaurants. Checking in was done swiftly as we had prior booking. The minimalist modern design of the lobby with touches of local artistry was superb. The staff who ushered me to my room was also friendly. My room at the fourth level had a great view of the lush greeneries surrounding the hotel. The capiz and carved wood design was predominant on my Premier Room. Earth tones and warm lighting made the room homey and the comfy mattress provided a relaxing respite from the hustles and bustles of Metro Manila. Palawan was clearly and truly reflected on the four walls of my room and the sleek design features made it more classy. The food at the in-house restaurant (Anibong Restaurant) was superb! We had a chance to sample out their buffet breakfast and lunch which featured local and international dishes with the remarkably fresh seafood (I love their crustaceans section). There was also an outdoor pool, grand ballroom, business center, gym and more. My stay at Best Western Plus Ivywall Hotel in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan was so relaxing that I just went out once (when I had a fun night-out with some friends). It was such a nice stay that I would really wanna stay here on my future trips to Puerto Princesa City.

"Restaurant breakfast only"
Mickeymouseppc, 21 Juillet 2016

They have a great staff with wonderful buffet for breakfast Did not stay in hotel but looks like it's one of the best in PPC The food was great because it had both Philippine food and western style, Swiss cheese, smoked salmon, homemade eggs to order. Breads of different type.. Will go again
