Best Western Le Vauban

This was our first stop on our trip west through the Pyrenees. It was such an enjoyable experience because of the outstanding desk staff. An Irish woman explained everything about the hotel and the wonderful view we had from our room. You can see it in the picture from the pool. The next morning Paula was very helpful with breakfast. Both went way beyond the usual desk help to express genuine interest in our trip and giving helpful insight. It was better than any Best Western greeting we have ever had and we have been staying at Best Western for more than 20 years. These two women made us feel very welcome and we want to give them both a big thank you🤗

Excellent hotel, great location, flower garden around the pool are was beautiful, great air conditioning.

Arrived late afternoon and after checking the website we booked a room , not the cheapest but advertised with Aircon , restaurant, bar , laundry and service. Apart from. A/c Nothing else is available. The receptionist told me that the website is a lie and there is no staff for the restaurant or bar so they are always closed! I was given the name of restaurants in the town that I could use but as it was Sunday they were closed ! Best Western is the worst!!! Will never use again and suggest that you done either!

This hotel checked all the boxes - easy parking, amazing full breakfast, AC, mini fridge and coffee in the room, stunning pool area, and an adorable cat who wanders around :) The room was clean and modern and I also enjoyed the short 8-10 minute walk into the center of Prades for dinner. There is also a huge grocery store across the street which is handy, plus the hotel has a Lottie bar and I think a restaurant. The hotel is in a great spot to visit Eus, Villefranche, Les Orgues (all within 10-15 minutes by car), and I even went to to Queribus and Peyrepertuse Castles (and Cucugnan and Gorges de Galamus) which are about an hour away. I would definitely stay here again, the pool view alone is worth it!

This is a truly fantastic hotel. Excellent rooms, excellent food and amazing staff. The location is beautiful and the rooms around the pool are wonderful with the views of the Canigo mountain. We have symtayed here several times and are always amazed at this wonderful place.

Purpose of visit: to photograph butterflies up in the eastern Pyrenees, so location was ideal for me. No idea about the town. But everything was as I'd expect of a small four-star hotel. My ground floor room faced, beyond the pool, le Canigou (the local mountain). Mural photo on the wall opposite the bed is a clever way of making the room feel wider. Facilities faultless. And so to breakfast. I'd stay here for no other reason than their four-star breakfast. Incomparable. Stayed a whole week so not cheap but would I recommend it? Without a second's thought. Loved it. Loved

We were initially disappointed that this hotel was out of the town centre, on the ring road. We like to be in the middle of things so we can easily walk to different places to eat during our stay, and we thought this was what we were getting. The receptionist was surprised, insisting it was only ten minutes walk to the centre, but she doesn't know how slowly I walk! In fact it took us 15 minutes, which was fine most evenings as the weather was good. The hotel restaurant was closed in the evenings while we were there, other than the last night, due to some problem with their fridges, but we found some nice places in town to eat. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool, which husband tried but came straight out saying it was freezing - not heated! Behind the pool was a beautiful snow-capped mountain and the whole scene looked like something out of a travel brochure - totally beautiful. Our room was very comfortable with room to unpack our things and a good bathroom. Good wi-fi. Everything worked well and was perfectly clean. The breakfasts were excellent, with the terrific French bread I adore and everything else you could possibly want to eat. The staff were friendly and helpful, serving us drinks in the evening when we got back after dinner, although there isn't really a proper bar area in the hotel. We had the buffet they were at last serving on our last night as it was raining and we didn't want to walk into town. As French meals go it was a bit disappointing and we were glad we were only having it one night. Prades is a good place to stay to tour around the area - so much to see and do and the huge Tuesday Market is excellent.

Absolute gem of a hotel located just 45km away from Perpignan airport. Staying in Prades means you have amazing restaurants within walking distance and beautiful villages and beaches a ride away in the car. This hotel was fabulous. I've included a couple of pictures of the pool which was very welcome after a day in the best. The rooms were great, very clean, climate controlled (a/c or heat) with either a balcony or terrace. I initially had hoped for a pool view room but absolutely loved the garden / mountain view instead. The team are what made this hotel great, from front desk to housekeeping, there was clearly a team effort going on. The cherry on the cake was the breakfast buffet. Both hot and cold options available. Finally, add in ease of location, free parking and WiFi. What more could you ask for? Was in France as had business to attend to however after staying here, I'm very tempted to come back for a vacation. The region is simply stunning.

Needed to spend a night in the area on our way through, and found this hotel on the main route. The staff were very pleasant and knowledgable. Our beautiful rooms looked out over the garden and pool area. We sat on our patio and had a drink overlooking the pool. The restaurant was full so we drove a couple minutes into town for dinner. Breakfast here was excellent

Lack of cleanliness (see attached picture with hair on the sheets), TV did not work at once (we had to call someone to fix it), TV did not have internet connection, toilet seat was cracked, there was no blanket for a hot summer night (either sweat or cold) and missing food description during dinner (I did not know what I was eating) ... the last one is a suggestion for food description at least in English. Good was the service and personnel attention.
