Came in with little to no expectations, but Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel Panglao honestly exceeded them. I feel like the hotel is underrated and can definitely compete with some of the more well-known hotels around the area. The hotel is clean, modern, comfortable, and has everything you'd need for a great stay. But what really stood out to us was the staff. Everyone was super friendly, accommodating, and more than willing to help with our requests. Their warm and genuine service really made a difference throughout our stay. Overall, this was a pleasant surprise and definitely a hotel I'd recommend. It deserves more recognition, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on my next trip to Bohol!

We had a wonderful stay at the resort and truly enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We also had a great dining experience at the restaurant—the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, but special thanks to Ellen from the restaurant for her outstanding service. She was very attentive, warm, and professional, and always made sure we were comfortable and she was so friendly with my child as well. Everything was handled smoothly, and you can really feel that the staff care about their guests. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I've had at a resort. Highly recommended, and I'd definitely come back again!

We stayed in best western plus in panglao Bohol for four days . Resort is amazing. We enjoyed staying in the hotel family room. 15 adults and 3 kids. We stayed in 3 big rooms. Staff are so nice. my family spent a night here for a weekend. we were warmly welcomed by their staff. i also remembered Fitz, the receptionist also made sure we got what we needed and assisted us immediately. while we were on the swimming pool, my baby fell asleep and the lifeguard had the initiative to gave us towels to make my baby comfortable while sleeping on the pool bench. he even inflated my baby's floater seat. the room was very spacious and comfy. we overall enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back!

The staff were attentive and made us feel welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable. I appreciate the daily housekeeping, thank you Leo. I love the view from our room. Thank you to the front desk staff especially Noel, Ronna, the pool lifeguard, the lady from Henry Transportation services desk (I apologize I wasn't able to write your name) for her help as well in helping me arrange my ferry tickets going back to Cebu. I loved the convenience of being able to arrange for guided tours from the front desk. And the best part was the location, just steps away from the beach. We had a good time, all the staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel is located perfectly in the middle of the beach promenade. The rooms were nice and clean, and the hotel is great for families with children.

We had a perfect stay! The location is excellent, and the staff were warm, courteous, and genuinely welcoming. Every request was attended to promptly, making our stay even more enjoyable. The overall stay was as expected, EXCELLENT. The room was nice and clean. Awesome and refreshing view of the ocean. Food choices for breakfast was wide and sumptuous. The best part was the ube champorado and the danggit. The tour accomodations were excellent too. The snorkeling and the countryside tours were exciting and educational. The staff were the best. Nice location, near for everything such as store, resto etc. I love the view whenever we are having breakfast. Beachfront. Super friendly staff (actually all of them) My 2nd time in this hotel.
We enjoyed our vacation in Bohol while staying at the Best Western Ivywall. The hotel was beautiful and clean. We had a premier room that had its own private direct access to the pool! All of the staff were pleasant and welcoming, especially Kuya Noel and Kuya Adrian. They spoiled us and treated us like royalty! :) They have in-house airport transfers, laundry, spa, and partnerships with local tour guides and water sports activities. We availed of the airport transfer during arrival and it was smooth and easy, despite an hour delay in our flight. In-house laundry was quite expensive when, alternatively, you can get laundry done at one of the nearby shops along the beachfront at literally 1/10th of the price. This is the only thing that I would change about our trip, but it was my fault for not looking at the prices. In-house spa was also at a premium, but worth it for the ambiance and convenience. We booked a countryside tour with their in-house partner and it was fantastic. I felt like they (Ate Elle) were very honest and didn't try to upsell me. I also booked jetskiing with their in-house partner (I forgot its name) and also wanted to do parasailing, but it was unavailable through them. We ended up doing it through one of the companies along the beachfront instead (RFS Watersports). I haggled with them and they gave us a discount from the listed price! The air-conditioned area of their restaurant was booked for functions during our whole stay, but we did have dinner in its open area during our arrival date. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet everyday and they graciously offered to pack a box for us during the day that we had a 6:00 am tour and would not be able to avail of it. We had our meals at the Lost Cow and Christina's nearby. Their location really is perfect, right in the middle of the beach with the boat dock on the right and the fancy resorts (Hennan, Amorita) on the left, with 7-11's on either side for any necessities. Both my daughter and husband are very happy and we already look forward to going back for our next vacation. :)

The location was perfect. Being right on Alona beach you're close to a lot of restaurants, bars, and activities. You can just walk along the beach or even around the streets to find anything you need. A very family friendly resort with kids activities, The hotel is starting to show some of its age but the cleanliness was acceptable. The entire staff however were all amazing 5 star quality 11/10. From the front desk to those at the restaurant. They were all friendly, professional, and accommodating making our time and experience there much more enjoyable. Noel was a stand out for our family and really took care of us going above and beyond. Definitely made our trip much easier and enjoyable. Seek him out if you need any help with bookings, getting around, or just a general guide. Check in and check out we're a breeze and we were even served refreshments while checking in. We stayed in the premier pool access rooms and they were nice rooms. Being on the first floor you have easy pool access but no real view except the pool. Also I'm not sure if this is the same for other rooms but on the bottom rooms it's easy to hear the live band that plays each night but they only play until 10pm. Overall a great and fun experience in Bohol.

We really enjoyed our stay here in Bohol, and we are really glad we made the choice to stay here at the Best Western! The staff members were all so friendly and understanding, and our rooms were perfect. and the kids had a blast doing the activities. Noel, especially, was so helpful and made our stay feel extra relaxing, enjoyable and easy. The location was awesome, because we could walk around the beach areas, restaurants and shops. The nightly live band at the hotel was really good, and the food we had at lunch was delicious. All good things to say here, I could keep going!

Returning for my second stay at Best Western Plus The Ivywall Resort-Panglao and just as wonderful as my first! This time, with my family. Indeed the consistency here is outstanding. We received complimentary parking right outside the hotel— kudos to Sir Noel and Sir Ken for the prompt assistance. We stayed here for 2nights and had a pleasant stay. A big thanks to sir Fitz for being attentive and went out of his way to ensure that we were comfortable— no request for assistance was a problem. The family room was very spacious, clean, and had the essentials we needed. An ocean view from a higher floor is excellent. Breakfast was delicious and with many choices; it was a wide buffet spread. Not to mention, their room service was excellent—quick, smooth, and hassle-free. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful. That impressed us the most.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Room was a good size with a balcony overlooking the beach. Food was delicious and the Cocktails were amazing. Big shout out to the friendly staff, especially Melvin and George. We enjoyed the live music every night. Overall we had a memorable stay.

Lovely evening with the yellow moon off in the distance... Very nice music for the last couple of hours at the right volume and that I mentioned the food was great and not overpriced. This is a decent property and a solid choice to consider if you're visiting Bohol and don't want to spend money on the more "luxury" resorts on Panglao island. There are lots of positives about this hotel: the staff are helpful and courteous, the restaurant has good food (we ate at the breakfast buffet and did one dinner and one lunch here), the rooms and bathrooms are clean, the pool area is nice, and the location is great as you're right on the Alona Beach boardwalk area to be able to walk to shops and restaurants. A few things we noted: the hotel had live music the nights we were there (a Friday and Saturday night) and the noise was very easily heard in our rooms when we were trying to get our kids to go to bed. In the hallway of one of our rooms there was a ceiling leak, and in the other room on our reservation the door handle broke off one day and was not fully repaired during our stay. We also noted that there is not much seating around the pool, but when we were swimming it wasn't crowded so was a non-issue. For us, none of these things were dealbreakers and we were overall happy with the hotel choice. Just know as you book this place that it is a great value for what you pay. The more expensive hotels we visited while we were in Bohol may have larger properties and more amenities, but for us we didn't feel like the extras offered at the others justified how much more expensive they are. BUT, if you are looking for high-end, luxury, this is not that.
WiFi is really fast, but sadly it did stop working completely overnight when I needed it for a meeting! The breakfast was very tasty, the staff are so lovely, location is fantastic, the pool area was great. Great singers as entertainment in the evenings in the beach bar area.
The grounds, rooms, and breakfast area are cozy and modern. Staff is kind and attentive. Breakfast buffet was beyond expectations.
There is a concierge named Noel who really made the whole trip much better especially when my flight got canceled. Great family hotel. Great location.

We had a wonderful 5-day stay at Best Western Plus The Ivywall Resort-Panglao with our family (5 adults and 2 kids). We booked the family room and added an extra bed, and it was still very spacious, clean, and comfortable for all of us. The staff truly stood out—everyone was warm, helpful, and very welcoming. You can really feel their genuine hospitality throughout the stay. The food was good and flavorful, with fair serving sizes. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but still comparable to other restaurants around the area. Facilities were great overall. My wife really enjoyed the gym, and the kids absolutely loved the pool—especially the large kiddie pool. There were a few minor issues with some small tiles in the pool coming loose, but thankfully it didn't affect our experience. Location is also a big plus, being right by Alona Beach with plenty of dining options and activities nearby. The beachfront itself could be better, but it's just a short walk to Henann Resort Alona Beach where you can enjoy a nicer stretch of beach. Overall, a 5-star experience for us. We'd definitely consider staying here again!

We had our very first family trip to Bohol to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday. Other family members are also celebrating our birthdays near this date so we had a big combined celebration. We stayed 3 nights and booked 2 rooms. There are no adjoining rooms available but the hotel made sure that our two rooms are on the same floor. The staff kindly helped arranged for a special surprise of 3 bouquets of flowers and a birthday cake setup in a room. The request was for a regular bouquet for my mom and two smaller ones, but all looked similar. The choice of flower colors and and floral wrap designs also looked random so it was a bit confusing which one to give to whom. White flowers also seem not that appropriate for a birthday. The birthday cake was still inside a box with no candle. There were also no cutlery and plates to share it, so it looked more like a takeout delivery. But I understand that the staff were rushing to prepare the room when we arrived so had no time to setup the cake. I would suggest being extra clear and detailed with instructions for special requests to avoid such unexpected outcome. It was definitely a mistake on my part in assuming that details like this are already taken cared of. But I was happy to see that towel cake which the staff kindly prepared to decorate the bed. Overall, my mom and niece were so happy to see this surprise. I caught it on video and it is definitely my most favorite memory of our stay in Bohol, even more precious that the dolphins, turtles, tarsiers, churches and chocolate hills. The rooms are very clean. I liked that the floors are made of wood vinyl and not carpet which feels more hygienic and also more laid back. Beds and pillows are comfy. And the TV can be linked to your own YouTube or Netflix account. The only thing I didn't like was the half glass shower partition which makes the bathroom easy to get wet. The water pressure can also get low in the morning (pulsating high and low pressure) so the shower got a bit inconvenient to use. The hotel is on the quieter side of Alona beach so it feels more peaceful. There's a live band playing on the beachfront at night, but they stop at 10pm to allow guests to rest. The location is very convenient with restaurants and shops right on the beach front. The designated loading area of boats to Balicasag Island is just a few meters walk on the right side of the beach (Hennan would be the farthest to walk from). The lobby concierge can assist with hailing tricycles if you plan to go to the poblacion area (Panglao Church) or any of the popular restos (Mist, Mossa, etc). As the airport is very near, we were able to arrange tours within Panglao Island before checking in, and in South Farm and Tagbilaran City after checking out. There's a seawall currently being built along the whole stretch of the beach and not a lot of people are swimming, but the beach in front of Hennan is just a short walk and it is quite nice. The amenities are well maintained and the breakfast buffet is tasty and had good variety. It would have been good to include local dishes like Bam-i, dried fish or an Asin Tibuok taster (like grating it over ice cream or salad) in the breakfast spread. Yogurt would be good for fruits, and fresh (instead of instant powder) fruit juice. Seating is comfortable and there's no queue to get in. Staff can also arrange for takeout breakfast if you're planning to leave the hotel early. The staff are courteous and attentive. But I feel like they are more on the business-y than friendly side, or maybe just shy to approach guests to ask feedback or do some small talk. Interaction with the online staff (viber/messenger) may also feel a bit rigid, but they are responsive and accommodates requests professionally. The people of Bohol are genuinely caring people and we didn't feel that we are taken advantage of as tourists. This hotel is no exception as they offer great service and value for money. It also has that casual modern vibe for families and barkadas, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Our first stay in Bohol had been very memorable. Thanks to the staff of this hotel for making everything so comfortable for us.

We stayed in BWP from March 21 - 24. The room was a deluxe room with ocean view. The room when we arrived was very clean, not much noise can be heard. The view of the ocean is alright, there's a construction in front but it's not really their fault. The location is a bit difficult due to the entrance going to the hotel gets a bit flooded with a bit of rain. The breakfast has some good options. I would say that the price is worth it because of the staff. The staff is what made this place good and worthwhile. The staff are friendly, very attentive to needs and they open your door when you get picked up for tours, your bags get delivered to your room without charge. I would stay in this place again because of the staff.

The location of this hotel is amazing on Alona beach. Access to beach but not in the busy part, which is really nice. This hotel is exactly where you wanna stay, it has the right atmosphere with beach access. The rooms are very spacious, we had ocean view, which was perfect for sunset. The value of this hotel is really great, for the price. I felt like the entire hotel was very clean, which is very important for my stay. Your room has ocean view, but not all of the noise of Alona Beach. Service is excellent, very accommodating. Service is very friendly on all aspects. Security made the area feel very safe. Amenities are great with gym, restaurant, beach access and nice pool. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Alona Beach.

It's our third time at best western Ivy wall Panglao, and we always have a good time. Kid's enjoy the swimming pool/playpool so much. The location is really good since it's in Alona, Panglao. It was particularly special because we had also brought with us my in-laws from the US (and it was also their first time in the Philippines). In addition to its ideal location, being directly on the beach and close to all the establishments, what made it exceptional was the service we received from its staff, who really made us feel very welcome and respected. Having traveled extensively for business and stayed in many high-end hotels, my wife and I were truly impressed by the hospitality here. I was so appreciative that I told its General Manager (Doer Escoto, amazing guy) on the day we left that if we ever had the chance to return to Bohol, that we wouldn't hesitate to come back and stay at the Ivywall again. And, that's exactly what we did. In June 2025, my family and I returned to the Philippines, this time we took along 6 of our closest friends (and their 3 teens) from the US, and our stay was even more exceptional. This is mainly attributed to how well we were treated – from the front desk to the bellhops, bartenders and lifeguards, and to their management team, we truly felt like VIPs. Just like last time, their staff stood out for their warm welcome and genuine accommodation - many of them even remembered us from our stay 2 years ago. I was particularly moved by their entire staff's gesture when they waved us goodbye on our departure. All in all, there were 13 of us and we stayed 5 nights. Our rooms all had spectacular views, and they totally accommodated my requests for specific rooms, including offering our friends (with a family of 5) a poolside room that just made their stay completely memorable. Their breakfast buffet (and their special Father's Day Dinner) were amazing, and we totally enjoyed their afternoon happy hours, both poolside and down by the beachfront on Alona. I can go on and on advocating for how our stay was even more enjoyable and memorable this 2nd time around, but I don't think it would do much justice unless you experience their hospitality and accommodations yourself. So, if you get the chance to visit, I highly encourage you to stay here.

Super friendly, and very convenient when we stayed in this hotel. Nice pool, good foods, and they have a dinner show per day(I don't know it is happened in Christmas season but I really enjoyed it.) The location is good near the beach so it's convenience for divers. The hotel has corporate with travel agency so we could book a day trip at the reception. Staffs are really helpful and have good service attitude.

From the moment you arrive the staff are there to help you. From the ladies at the front desk, to the ever attentive Noel who assisted us throughout our stay. Also a special mention to our kids favourite pool friend Melvin. Kids loved speaking with him daily and ordering their sprites from the swim up bar. The staff will be sorely missed and are a credit to the hotel. Food was very reasonably priced and delicious with more than enough food portion size. Service again, excellent - even bringing our daughter a pillow who had fallen asleep from the jet lag during an evening meal. The nightly entertainment was also great. Including a band rendition of happy birthday for my wife along with complimentary birthday cake. We cannot stress how much we enjoyed our 6 night stay and wished we had booked longer. Very nice hotel in Alona beach , all the staff were the best in every level , super helpful and courteous . Very good breakfast with plenty of choices . Our room had everything we needed , with a splendid sea view , comfortable beds , large bathroom etc. Everything looked very well maintained.There is live music from the restaurant every night and can be heard from the rooms but is over after 1000pm .The beach in front the hotel is suitable for bathing but is not the best spot , it's better to go to Dumaluan/White Beach, a short ride from the hotel

Plus points : Well maintained property. Spotlessly clean with fantastic staff in every department. Rooms were well equipped and the water pressure even on the top floor was phenomenal.. Margaritas at Happy hour were fantastic - real ingredients rather than juice powder .. Minus points : The back road to the property is liable to flood and so can make access difficult on foot. Some more western options on the breakfast breakfast buffet would help and definitely a "help yourself " coffee station rather than having to flag down a member of staff for a refill. Overall a great place to base yourself in Panglao with clean modern facilities taking the jeopardy out of booking a hotel.. Would definitely recommend

Hope no one reads this review 🙄 really want to keep this gem of a hotel and gem of an island low key so it doesnt get flooded with tourists 😅 our group mistakenly booked this hotel thinking it was for another island, but one of the best mistake we've made this whole trip. First of all the location, you cant beat being right on the beach, and central to all the wonderful restaurants...vibe is fantastic. The facilities here is wonderful, comfortable and new. The star though is the service. The staff here is the star of the hotel. Wonderful wonderful people, so friendly and genuinely want to help. My group want to keep coming back to Panglao due to the lovely experience we have here, and its mostly due to the wonderful staff. O yeah, we keep ordering room service and drinks every day because its so damn good.

We stayed in a well appointed premier pool-access room and it was such a relaxing stay. Room is clean and the people are very professional and polite. It is actually our second time to stay and the service is upgraded. The foods we're delivered in our room on time and very delicious. Indeed a home in panglao whenever we travel to bohol.

The room was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful pool and ocean view, just like in the pictures. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was well-stocked with toiletries. Best Western Plus The Ivywall Resort in Panglao offers a highly enjoyable beachfront experience right on Alona Beach. The staff are very friendly and always ready to assist, making the stay even more comfortable. The resort features clean and spacious rooms, perfect for both families and couples. Facilities include a pool with a bar, a children's pool and playground, a fitness center, and a spa—great amenities that cater especially well to families. The included breakfast buffet has a wide variety of options, and the resort often features live band performances during dinner, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. One downside is the unpaved access road to the resort. While it's manageable for vans, it's not ideal for smaller vehicles like tuk-tuks. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Panglao who's looking for a comfortable and well-rounded resort experience.

The hotel appears to be one of the better ones in the area, but with that said it needs a lot of deferred maintenance such as pool tiles being replaced that are missing in the swimming pool. In addition, the breakfast is just OK and not exceptional with problems having eggs, cooked to order done properly. Also, the pool bar is limited and drinks are not that great there. With that said, the staff was very polite and helpful, especially when booking tours. They booked excellent tour for us. There are a few restaurants in the area, but overall it's not a large community within walking distance. The beach area is also not very suitable or pleasant. I did not see anyone using the beach or the water. Beds are fairly comfortable and the rooms have plenty of space. The shower has no door so it's hard to keep water from the rest of the bathroom.

If you are looking for an amazing hotel with superior staff that makes you feel like a VIP, I cannot recommend this facility enough!!! From the minute we walked into the lobby, the staff made us feel welcome like family! We recieved a delicious welcome drink. The hotel has a open air lobby that walks into a beautiful lounge to the right and pool to the left. The downstairs has a pool table, kids area and another restaurant, followed by a outdoor patio and bar where there is nightly live music and a gorgeous private beach right along the upbeat Alona beach. The rooms and facilities are immaculately clean. We were blessed to stay in a family room that walked out to the pool. The rooms are spacious and gave us plenty of room for a family of 5! The BEST part of this hotel is the staff! They knew us by name, went out of their way to make sure our family was taken care of and were so kind. We have never been to Bohol and didn't know what to expect. This hotel far exceeded anything we could have imagined. We are looking forward to returning!
