Over all the place was clean and the staff was very polite and helpful. A few things I would add would be a larger fridge with freezer. Access to the pool 24 hours like the fitness center. I usually sleep during the day and take care of my business at night. So my day begins when most go to bed. So having access to the pool after hours would have been nice. I was only able to use the pool once. Lastly I would have liked the option to rent a movie on the tv. Or maybe have a few more channel options. The channels were very limited but weren't to bad.
The clerk at check-in was pleasant and professional as well as efficient and got us checked in quickly. The room was very clean and well furnished. Check-out was also very quick and easy. I did not partake in the breakfast this time but I have in the past. Like most, it is nothing special but has a options and was filling.
A/C was extremely loud, homeless people hanging out at the front entrance bench drinking wine, fire alarm went off at 6:00 AM due to burnt toast, pool was down and we had no advanced notice of it, pallet of boxes was in the entrance way all weekend, no one took care of it. It was the first thing you saw when you walked into the lobby.
Room was very uncomfortable. The “AC” was not proper air conditioning blowing warm, moist air and it was making us all sticky. Room was very dated and just very moist which was uncomfortable and gross. Very noisy hallways after midnight. Would not stay here again.
We rented the Jacuzzi room Toilet needs repair and Some of the Jacuzzi's functions aren't working rooms have lots of towels and are very clean nicely done
Wow, I had a fantastic experience at the hotel! It's always great to hear about positive experiences. First impressions can be deceiving; I got to your room, and everything was clean, quiet, and smelled good. The fact that the staff was polite and communicated well with customers is a bonus. It's especially great that I found the experience better than my previous stay at the Holiday Inn. The price point seems to be reasonable as well. My family will love it there too when I visit again!
This barely adequate motel with sheets that smelled of cigarettes kept my credit card info and charged me MONTHS LATER for a nights stay that I didn't have. I called many times to try to clear up what should have been an easy mistake to fix but got no help, no apology and no satisfaction. They claimed it was a third party card service discovering that the original charge was just a hold but I shared my statements with them as evidence that I was charged twice, months apart with no credits to my account. Over 3 weeks they never once returned a call or email or made any effort to make it right. One time I called and the woman I spoke to before even hung up when she learned it was me and then pretended to be in a meeting when I called back. VERY SHADY!! I have taken it up with my bank but there is some FRAUD going on here. These CRIMINALS are keeping people's CC info and trying to sneak extra charges in. DON'T STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO RISK GETTING SCAMMED!!
Standard hotel, but be advised that migrants are being housed here. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time, especially with the price we paid. Staff was nice, but a little unsure of how to adress the issue.
In a prior review recently, I mentioned how Best Western Plus has taken the overall quality of the brand to a new level. Unfortunately, this standard Best Western brought me back down to reality. While staying here, we were in the midst of a 7 day/6 night excursion through Massachusetts and Connecticut. Out of the 5 hotels we stayed at, this was the most expensive, while also being the most disappointing. Exterior of the hotel is not very welcoming, including the odd looking fellow wearing pajama pants, sitting in the middle of the sidewalk, smoking cigarettes and stacking them side by side once finished. Lady at the front desk was very welcoming and informative. We really liked her. Room was clean, but a bit tired. Mattress was the least comfortable of our trip, our son's sofa bed squeaked every time he moved during the night, and the AC went on and off every few minutes. The kitchen style sink in the room was a nice touch, and the room was a nice size. Lastly, my wife went to use the treadmill in the fitness center and it didn't work. Front desk had no idea why. I really wanted to like this hotel more, especially since the lady at the front desk was so nice, but I couldn't. I feel with a little more TLC, this place could be a home run and possibly worth the higher price. Didn't hate it - would not tell you "don't stay here" - but can't give a glowing review either.
I had a nice stay here. I ended up getting a room with a spa tub in it, it was really nice and relaxing to soak in. It was kind of noisy at night, but it was more of them doing renovations and the facilities than people being loud I noticed. The breakfast was nice too. I would come back here again.
The room had a ceiling leak that it doesn't look as if they fixed or repainted. Furniture was water damaged. We did not stay here and we are still trying to straighten out the refund. They refunded us full cost then charged us full cost then refunded again and charged us again. Don't stay here.
It was fine for the one night stay. Hotel needs some updating. Rubi was amazing at the front desk. The young lady that was there the following morning when I checked out, definitely was not as nice as Rubi.
I have stayed at many hotels up and down the entire East coast and the customer service that you receive at this Best Western from the manager Terry and the other staff on the front desk is nothing short of amazing! They are extremely friendly, always smiling, can fix any issue you approach them with, and make the stay more enjoyable. The breakfast they have is delicious and very diverse. They have everything from a hot breakfast such as eggs, sausages, bacon, and pancakes (made by the press of a button) to cereal, yogurt, bagels, toast, and fruit. They also have multiple kinds of juice and coffee. Staff that sets up breakfast is always friendly and in a good mode as well which is nice first thing in the morning. I would call this a family friendly hotel. Front desk staff such as, Jasmine, Amanda, Rubia, and housekeeping staff named Chase are always very nice to my son. My son can say some pretty messed up things at times and Jasmine just laughed it off and didn't let him bother her. This was nice to see. Of course, the manager Terry is always friendly to my son as well. The entire hotel "family" here just makes you feel right at home and I am going to be sad when it is time to leave. I feel like I have met some great people here who I can call my new friends. As for the rooms they are always clean, towels restocked, trash taken out, and smell great when I come back from a long day where I just want to relax. Hitting the pool and the gym has been great also. The exercise equipment they have works perfect for what I like to do and the pool is great for relaxing or working out. I love hitting the gym and then getting in a nice warm swim right after. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel, it Is the best one in this area. I will definitely be back to stay again at some point.
Arrived at the hotel early for checkin no problem, Jasmine was very polite and gave me information about the area. Room was clean and the pool was fun. The breakfast was awesome, host Linda made sure there was plenty. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family. Staff was amazing.
I needed to visit Bryant University but the hotels near the university were very expensive and this hotel was rated the same for alot less. Only 20 minutes away. Plenty of restaurants etc. in the area too. Breakfast featured pancakes.. Only issue was there was no remote for the TV in the fitness center
Great place to stay. Check in was a breeze, thanks Dan. All staff were wonderful during our stay. Room and hotel really clean. Breakfast host Linda made sure there was plenty. Pool was awesome had a blast! Affordable and close to shopping, Gillette Stadium and more. I would stay here again and recommend to family snd friends.
They provided a great hot breakfast, their indoor pool was nice and relaxing. Terry the AGM was very friendly and Linda the breakfast lady was always smiling. Great hotel and I will definitely return! Noticed that have done some recent upgrades to property, nicely done! Thanks, Buck
The room was clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk during the evening was friendly and welcoming. The gentleman there in the morning was friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff cleaned my room maybe twice and I was there a week. Seems to be some communication issues there. The breakfast was very good: coffee, pancakes, yogurt, toast, cereal, juice, muffins, eggs, etc. The room rates are over-priced for what you get, though.
We stayed for 1 night, thankfully! The staff was friendly and helpful but there were several issues. The rooms are extremely small and cramped, the room must have been on a slight slant because the dresser drawers would not stay closed, and you could not get by. We had to tape them shut. The bathroom was not clean. The drains in both the sink and shower were so severely clogged the water did not drain. The shower curtain rod was broken and the surface on the tub floor was filthy.. the iron left a powdery white residue on my clothes...it was gross and ruined my shirt! Breakfast was horrible, it was a self serve that lacked any fresh healthy options and the eggs were precooked Omelet with some weird cheese In it! They definitely need to update the rooms, they are very outdated and run down!!
Staff who work here takes care of the guest really well. Because of them I always choose this one to stay. Breakfast choices are limited but consistently good. Location also near to lot of good restaurants.
I made a reservation to stay at this hotel the day before arriving. We were spending time with people who were staying in a different hotel. We checked in at 7:30p.m. after someone in the group ended up in the emergency room with a knee injury after a fall. We dropped our backpacks in the room and went to grab a bite while we waited the verdict as to just how bad the injury was. The hotel hallway had food scattered all over it which was such an unwelcoming site and it smelled like old stale cigarettes and pot a bit but it was just a place to sleep and we were happy to hear that breakfast was offered in the morning which made the $250.00 a night price tag a bit more bearable. The pool is tiny, no hot tub, this is just a place to sleep. Well, as often happens on a Friday night E.R.s are packed and this was no exception, Urgent care was closed and as they called each hospital in the area it was determined that they wouldn't be seen and would have wait until the following day. She had to be carried to the car after the fall so made the decision to get home where she could be seen local the following day. We decided it best to check out in the event we were needed the following day, we went back to hotel grabbed our bags from room and proceed to checked out. The staff at the desk gave us the name of the person who would be in the next day to determine whether we could receive a discount. There would be no refund, not even a discount. Our bags had occupied the room for 2 hours and therefore they weren't able book it to anyone else. Well, I could see there were still available rooms online so it didn't matter, they were going to have at least a few rooms available to offer others. I found it to be really bad customer service under the circumstances to not even offer a credit toward a future stay. After all was said and done with taxes we lost $280.00 (plus a tip for the person who would hopefully wipe the toilet seat). I understand they're a business and why they insist on some compensation, but to not show some flexibility when emergencies arise is bad business. They could have take the money then gave us a credit toward a future stay!
Very disappointed in our stay. The staff didn't seem to be able to handle the volume. My reservation was wrong and I had to fix it multiple times prior and at arrival - At check in, there were 3 families, the gentlemen and his son were waiting for about 20 min to check in - the staff was not attentive at all. Secondly, I had an additional charge of over $800 on my bank statement. I asked the front desk about the charge and she stated it was pending and would drop off. This morning it was posted and it takes to jump through hoops to get it taken off. I am still awaiting customer service management to get back to me on my billing issue. I travel often for work and can say this has never happened. Basically we are now awaiting this to be satisfied - even though we did not authorize any additional payments.
Great amenities, clean rooms, friendly staff.Breakfast is great with a variety assortment. Also has a amazing pub restaurant that has awesome food and beverages and a sport bar environment to socialize and enjoyment nearby so you don't have to leave which is a plus with traveling with family
The girl working overnight was really cool. She helped us check in and gave us recommendations to near by restaurants. They have complimentary breakfast which is a plus and WiFi is fast. Pools down so it was a bummer but Overall enjoying my stay. Thanks Kat for everything.
There have been some poor reviews about this hotel, but we found it to be clean, adequate, and affordable. Our room was nice with new carpet, window coverings, and refurbished bathrooms. The breakfast was adequate but that was ok with us. We had been paying higher prices for hotels/motels over a period of days and this one was less expensive, but still nice.
Checked in early in the morning, the front desk atendee was so elpful and even helped my elderly mother place bags on the cart. Cat made us feel happy and welcomed. Will be returning next month for sure.
Rubia front desk agent great customer service and friendly. Room was neat and clean. Breakfast was awesome, Linda the host made sure we had plenty. All staff were very accommodating. Definitely will stay again.
Linda the breakfast host was fantastic and kept asking how things were going and if we needed more things, Terry the manager was also around asking about our stay. I will definitely be back to stay her.
The woman with the short hair and glasses was EXTREMELY rude and made in very very uncomfortable from the time we arrived. She was mean and made our stay the worst we ever had! Did not give deposit back when I cleaned and made sure room was clean. Do not go there unless you want to have the worst hotel stay possible!
I highly recommend the hotel to family and friends! I stayed at the hotel for a few weeks to visit my family on vacation. Great stay with friendly staff ( Front desk & Housekeeping), especially GM Rebecca Manzo who helped me with a problem I had with my booking so quickly she and her team helped me right away and I'm very satisfied and grateful! Also satisfied with cleanliness, maintenance and location.
The tv/remote didn't work other than turn off and on. The air was dry, and the heating/cooling unit was loud on and off, so it kept interrupting my sleep. The people that worked the front counter were friendly, and professional. The value was reasonable compared to other places in providence RI.
Upon entering my room I found it wasn't cleaned well and the key card from the previous guest was on the table. It was loud and the noise went on most of the afternoon and evening. Won't ever be back.
Stayed here for a week while I was in the area on business and had a good stay. Upon arrival, I was greeted my a very friendly front desk staff who promptly got me checked in. My room was on the backside of the hotel that was away from any noise or so I thought. The second night I was there, I was awakened by the couple in the next room having full blown sex that continued for the next hour plus. By the time they stopped, I couldn't get back to sleep. After they were done, I couldn't get back to sleep so I pulled my lap top out and started work much earlier than I had wanted to. I went to the hotel manager the next morning before I left for work and was quite pleased with his response. No issues the rest of the week. The front desk is full of ideas for places to eat with-in a short distance of the hotel most of which are above average. Room WiFI can be spotty at times. The hallways in the back of the hotel could use a fresh coat of paint and brighter lighting. Hotel can be hard to find as it's hidden in a office park.
Chose this place due to its proximity to Twin Rivers Casino. We used the IHG app to book a room with points. Check-in was quick and efficient. Our room was clean and well maintained. While we were not impressed with the casino, we would definitely stay at this property again should be be in the area.
Super surprised at how nice this place was. It's small - only two floors - but the rooms are large (huge actually) and the beds were very comfortable. Nice clean room, big TV with good choice of channels. The fan in the bathroom made a terrible noise and the shower pressure and temperature would change suddenly if someone flushed the toilet or turned on the sink faucet. Included breakfast which was standard hotel fare. These hotel chains really need to do something about the lack of recycling and the use of single use plastics.
I had to book the room online from the lobby of the hotel. Clerk was useless. Room rate $129. How much was AAA rate? 4% off. How much would that be? Blank stare. So, I pull out phone to use calculator. Hmmmm. That takes off $5. Are you sure. 4% she says pointing to paper taped on the wall. Went onl to IHG in their lobby. AAA rate 119. More like 7.8 %. Book and paid online. Went back to desk with confirmation #. No problem. Are the over charging just cuz? Going off old rates? Don't know but people ARE being overcharged for AAA RATE.
