Would never stay here again. Basic hotel. Room just OK and bed not very comfortable. My husband was ill so he did not have breakfast but they still charged us for two people - even though they knew only I came down. I only took him a glass of OJ. Not worth the $19 charged ($38 for two people). Food I had was not even very good! Their web page says "mostly renovated rooms" but we must have gotten a non renovated one. Slightly smelly and worn.
Good services. Everything is like in the photos on website . Clean rooms , clean bathrooms. clean everywhere Facilities for disabled people They allowed pets . We had just breakfast there - a rich breakfast - a big +++ for us. Also a big ++++ the hotel is literally near the highway
I spent several nights in this hotel, all of them during the Covid-19 Lockdown. The Hotel and staff are very endeavour to make your stay pleasant, even during this special times. Breakfast was always possible and most of the time even dinner. This is not normal, several hotels did this not! The rooms are nice and pretty new and offers everything you expect, including Coffee Maker, Fridge and so on. If you get a room facing to the street you will not notice it, if you keep the windows shut.
Hotel is easily accessible and has a large carpark outside and Inside. There is a restaurant affiliated to hotel that provides steaks etc. had a fine dinner. In general good place, I had a room in the top floor and occasionnaly some noice during night. for lower floors there is a lorry parking next to the hotel could be noisy in summer with Windows open. Staff friendly and attentive - internet could improove, but my room was clean and large with spacious toilett-shower
I stayed in this hotel for one night. the person at the front desk was an example of a very bad service person. He did not care about my request for a quiet room and just gave me the pre-assigned room. Some of the lights in my room did not work and they did not fixed during the stay. The room service staff were OK. I will not stay here again if I come to the Niefern/Pforzheim area.
A one night business stay, I was last here over 12 years ago and it's much improved. Lovely modern clean room. Everything seemed new windows furniture bathroom etc. Clean functional and a walk in shower all very good. Wi-fi strong. Restaurant for dinner was good we had excellent octopus a new one for me. I'd come back
Easy access location, as it is nearby the autobahn. International concierge, italian speaking as well, just in case. Quite room and decent food, whom price is a bit expensive but on the average with other international hotels.
Room was very spacious and clean but had a peculiar musty smell, which I put up with as I was only there one night. I was with 3 colleagues who were accommodated in the newer section of the hotel. I was placed in the older section. No explanation was offered as to why we were split up. The room was also on the main road so was quite noisy. The restaurant offers a decent menu with several choices and the food is of good quality. I did not have the opportunity to take advantage of the spa facility which I was advised was available, maybe next time. This is a good hotel and I have stayed here before and probably will again, but on this occasion it was spoilt by the room. Next time I will request a change if unhappy.
We always try and stay at this hotel on our way or way back from the snow. On this occasion it was an utter and complete disappointment. Unloaded our bags into Reception and then discussion took place as to where our room would be. We always ask for a lower floor when booking as I do not like going in lifts so asked for a room on the 1st floor, receptionist spoke to a lady in the office and she said *no* there is one on the 2nd floor in the old hotel, but the lifts were not working they were being refurbished. We asked if we could have a room in the new hotel, were told, no the lifts are out of order and it is full !!! We put our car in the garage - where the lift to the ground floor was working, and asked for help with our luggage to the old hotel room we were allocated. Men working on lifts with covers all over the floor by the entrance to the stairs. We had driven from Austria so just wanted to have a rest. In the old part of the hotel they have some quite large rooms, although they need updating we had previously been comfortable, we got a much smaller room, it needed redecorating, the shower was part of a deep bath, no safety mat in the bath, a radiator that was only warm half way and extremely noisy, had to turn it off at night which meant a cold bathroom in the morning. We went down and spoke to reception to voice our disappointment that we were not in the new part of the hotel. We were then told it was not full !!! we could move, as I said before, we did not have the energy to repack and move everything again, we are both in our 70's, keep fit and healthy but pace ourselves. Our evening meal was very good, the best thing about this hotel is their chef, he is extremely good. The waiting staff were all very pleasant but on another planet when it came to waiter service it was not at all good, my husband ordered a desert, 20 minutes later it had not arrived so he reordered and when cooked it was delivered to another table. All I have reported here was discussed with the staff at reception when we left, they made a small gesture of recompense for our trouble but none of this should have happened. We were told all the works should be completed by March and hoped we would stay again, we are not sure that we will visit again after such unthoughtful service.
We stayed for the second time at Best Western Queens Hotel Pforzheim-Niefern and we enjoyed it again. Great rooms, nice restaurant, excellent breakfast and perfect location on our way to Austria! If we are in the neighbourhood, we will book this hotel again!
The Best Western Queens Hotel is a nice, quiet hotel. It's situated closer to the interstate, so you will need a car to get around. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating to requests. A nice place to spend the night in Pforzheim.
We stayed here twice as an overnight stay on the way to and from a holiday in Austria. The rooms were spacious, quiet, immaculately clean and had air-con, wi-fi etc. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom large and clean with great shower, and we had no noise from the road, car park or other rooms. We were on the second floor of the new part of the hotel. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was comfortable; service was good and the food excellent and sensibly priced. The location is perfect - far enough off the autobahn to be quiet, but very easy to find and only a few minutes off a major route across Germany. Parking was free and plentiful. Could not fault the hotel, the service or the location and would happily recommend it. We have already booked for a holiday stop-over this year, safe in the knowledge we will be comfortable, well looked after and well-rested for our journey.
My friend and I stayed here on our way to and our way back from Switzerland as part of a Caledonian Holidays tour. We had a room on the ground floor as I have mobility problems. The room was clean and comfortable. Dinner provided a choice of a hot or cold starter, fish or chicken (beef on the return visit) and a small variety of desserts. It was self service so you could have as much or as little as you liked. Breakfast had various cold options with the added bonus of bacon and scrambled eggs. I would definitely stay here again as all our needs were catered for.
Well needed overnight stay after travelling from Venice by road. Very clean and staff friendly on arrival. Room is just what you require with comfy bed and lovely shower to freshen up before a good meal and a cold beer. Nice one !
Always stay here on the way home from Italy because of the great staff and food. During the last two years had a room in the new block and parked in the new underground car park. This time had a room in the old block, which was still good and brought back happy memories. Staff and food great as usual, the Schnitzel is wonderful! Will be back next year and hope to say hello to Sabrina Number One again.
Here for business but the hotel staff always goes out of your way to ensure all is good with your stay. All work very hard to make sure you are comfortable and it's great to be able to talk with the team members in English as I am not fluent in German. Always willing to work with us to make sure they could accommodate all team members.
Although close to, and easily accessible, for motorway, we found this hotel quiet, spacious and with very good food. We asked for, and were given, rooms in the "new block", with lifts. We found our rooms clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet, with excellent walk-in rain-showers. We were able to relax over a very good dinner in the hotel restaurant, and a very good, varied breakfast. Nice rural setting although just off motorway.
Room was very good. Clean and well furnished. Pretty stylish actually. Mini bar reasonably priced - beer e2.60. Bar and restaurant excellent. Plenty tables outside to enjoy a drink and chat. Staff fine in the main but when I was at the bar, one of the staff clearly spoke about me in german to her colleague. When he responded (also in german), she carried on serving me but it was a little unnerving. Maybe they didn't like how I was dressed or something. When I asked if there was a problem, she said no but it was not a nice experience.
First of all, this is mostly a business hotel. Having said that, we were very impressed by how modern, organized and clean the hotel was. The staff was very kind and professional and they spoke English fluently. We stayed in the renovated wing for a few nights. Later on, we traveled to Düsseldorf to attend Interpack 2017, but we decided to pre-book a room (again) so that we'd go back to Pforzheim-Niefern for a while. We were informed that the only rooms available for booking this time were in the old wing, but we managed to make an arrangement such that we'd spend one or two nights in the old wing and then move back to the new wing. The staff handled this fairly complex request very professionally and we were very pleased with the smooth transition, not to mention the fact that we were happy to be back in the new wing. It is worth noting that the old and new wings are both equally great in terms of cleanliness and overall expectations of a good hotel room, but our taste was leaning more towards the new wing. The only exception is that the old wing's room was a little bit smaller in size. We would definitely recommend Best Western Queens Hotel Pforzheim-Niefern, and it goes without saying that we'd stay in this hotel again in the future.
Very friendly staff, good clean and comfortable rooms at affordable prices. Great breakfast. There is of course a restaurant at the hotel but too far to walk to any local restaurants. Wifi was good and easy to get in.
Again we stayed here, easy access to the A8, really comfortable rooms, great shower, fridge, coffee/tea machine, food was excellent, evening meal - best schnitzel ever (so far), breakfast - everything you would want. Staff were really good. When ever travelling this route we will have our night stop here.
Well organized hotel focused on the "coack" AND business travel. I stayed in the renewed aisle. These rooms are very comfortable and have all the amenities(also free WIFI) you need as a business travel. breakfast is OK and has everything you need. The staff was very friendly and helpfull.
This business visit was for one night only. I can not say anything bad about the hotel. But also not really good things. Personnel is friendly and food is good. The hotel is quite new, renovated a few years ago.
Sadly this is a three review as if our return journey had been the same amazing standard as our first stay would've easily been 5! We were staying the National Holidays - are stay on way to our main holiday destination was great, friendly staff, the evening meal was lovely and well organised and the breakfast was also good. Room was hot but they provided a fan so slept ok and the sweets on the bed went down well with everyone ?? Second stay on way home - sadly the experience wasn't the same and at times was as if had been somewhere different!! Hotel was busy and had two coaches in however staff didn't seem prepared for this and some were unable to cope. It would've been better to have two sittings for evening meal as trying to feed two coaches for a buffet meal was way too much at once. Didn't have salad as queue was crazy and then nothing left, soup was nice but no bowls or spoons ready, our main meal was nice but sadly same can't be said for other members of the party. The dining area was so hot didn't have pudding as again wasn't setup. We had however order and pay for icecream outside and that was lovely. This is a lovely hotel and even with the poor experience on return journey I would still happily go back - just hope they learn from this.
Stopped here on the way to Austria. Good sized room, air conditioning, free wi-fi, nice food, pleasant terrace, so no complaints. Stayed on way back. Smaller room, poorly lit, noisy, no air conditioning, hotel full, evening meal a complete disaster and the terrace full of locals enjoying a barbecue. So maybe you will be lucky, maybe not!
Comfortable hotel. Great staff and excellent restaurant. The best option in the area for business activity. Good food, typical regional dishes. A good interior design and a really modern and practical rooms in the new area
Great overnight stay at this hotel on our trip with national holidays to Austria. Overwhelmed with our room, canopy over the bed and a lovely seating area to relax. The food was absolutely lovely for our three course evening meal, and breakfast was continental but with eggs and sausage (or bacon on the way back) all served buffet style. All staff professional and friendly. Situated a short walk from the village, could have stayed there quite happily for a week! Better than any of our other overnight stays with national holidays! Great start and end to our holiday - thank you!
Stayed overnight in this hotel whilst on route to/ from Flims Switzerland on Caledonian Glacier Express tour. Found rooms very spacious & tidy with clean comfortable twin beds. Easy to use powerful shower. Found staff helpful & obliging. All meals well prepared & presented from varied menu. Would definitely use hotel in future if in area again.
On the very warm day I checked in, the first thing that I noticed when I walked in the room was the rapturous blast of cool air coming from the installed and fully functioning air conditioner. What a rare and wonderful surprise for a German hotel! Other positives were the friendly front desk staff who had big smiles and great command of the English language, the large mattress, fast wi-fi connection, and good water pressure. The price was reasonable and I would definitely consider using again when in the area.
The hotel is situated approximately 1.5 km from the A8 motorway, an ideal hotel of very high standard for a stay during a journey on the way. The rooms in the new building are of very high quality: the level of finishing is very high, the bathroom has a shower without border and works very wel (the whole bathroom is nog flooded afther a shower) and is very well cared for the finishng. The room is finished with quality materials and highly functional Breakfast is very well maintained, with plenty of choice. Finally, a word about the staff : very professional staff, you receive a decent reception at the reception (both late arrival at night, and at check out in the morning). AND: Memorable low price. Highly recommended as a transit hotel.
We had a short overnight stay in the old building. The room was adequate/small, clean and with a good shower. The bedding was comfortable but the sheets/pillowcases were like sand paper. The hotel houses a wonderful restaurant with delicious, well prepared and artistically presented food. The wait staff were accommodating and eager to please. The best however was the proximity to highway 8 to the airport in Stuttgart. A great decision on our part.
Very conveniently located a couple of minutes from autobahn. The part I stayed looked very new. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast. Friendly and service minded reception staff. Only negative was the choice of snacks at the bar. It seemed like that there were only peanuts I could get with the beer.
Well placed right out of the 8, close enough to Stuttgart messe and airport. Very nice room, large and with a kitchenette angle. Speedy internet wifi, nice breakfast. Really interesting hotel. The outside parking area, though quiet, is a bit muddy.
After a bad experience at an hotel stop the previous evening we were looking forward to again visiting the Queens Hotel and were not disappointed. We stayed in the new building, lovely room, superb shower and a very well designed restaurant area. Dinner and breakfast were both extremely good, I was not particularly hungry in the evening so Chef adapted a mackerel starter for me to have as a main course - yummy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean and well presented. There is plenty of free parking outside but as rain was expected the next morning we opted to pay to park in the underground carpark, direct lift access to Reception. This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel, mainly for reasons already stated but also it's access to the A8 for our onward journey to Austria.
The new wing is excellent , overlooking the black forest with a large window , the room has all modern amenities as climate control , coffee machine , usual condiments in minibar , adjustable lighting etc etc
The renovated hotel looks nice, we were there for a working lunch in the restaurant. We ordered pike fish fillet, was served with a generous helping of salad and fried potatoes on the side. The fish was grilled just right, and the salad was fresh and appetising Would definitely recommend for a visit.
Our room was very clean and fresh in what appeared to be a new part of the hotel. We enjoyed a very good dinner in the hotel restaurant, and breakfast, which came at a reasonable extra cost, offered a varied spread of foods. Proximity to the autobahn makes this a great place for an overnight stop when travelling to southern Germany or Austria.
If you were to set out to design the perfect hotel for an overnight stop whilst travelling - you would probably end up creating something along the lines of this property - convenient to reach from the motorway, and with ample parking. Room 324 met all of our needs; air-conditioning kept the room cool and comfortable; the spacious bathroom had a fabulous walk-in shower. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the lighting was just perfect - it was obviously designed with the comfort of the guest in mind! The in-room wi-fi was fast and straightforward, and before we left the next morning we enjoyed an excellent breakfast. Above all, the hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, professional, and efficient. We had chosen this hotel because it was easy to reach after arriving in Stuttgart Airport - we wouldn't think twice about doing so again.
We went to our old home town to visit our parents, so I HAD to write a review. Luckily we got a room at the newly built wing of the hotel. While the old part seems not so nice (there was even a bit of a smell), the new one is excellent. Perfect rooms, good (hard!) beds, very quiet air conditioning, walk-in shower, excellent WLAN. The breakfast was slightly above average (had some smoked salmon). We booked directly through the hotel and got a better rate than with the usual booking portals. Will come back.
We stopped here for just one night on our way to Italy. We'd been driving all day and were so tired, but hadn't booked. It didn't matter at all - the staff found us a room immediately and checked us in with no hassles as all. The room was quiet and comfortable and had air conditioning, which was great given the heat. The bed was clean and comfortable and the bathroom a good size and well serviced with big fluffy towels, two bath mats and plenty of shower gel and shampoo. We had an evening meal, which was very reasonable in price and beautifully cooked. The waiting staff were very attentive and knowledgable and went out of their way to make you feel welcome - as did all the other hotel staff, especially the woman who checked us in on our arrival. There was garage parking, which meant we could park the car safely with our personal belongings in it and it was out of the heat, so it was also nice and cool to get into the next day. The highlight of the whole stay was the most incredible breakfast we had the morning after, which consisted of several types of bread, pastries and croissants - all fresh and beautifully laid out. We had a large pot of strong fresh coffee, there were 3 types of egg, bacon, cheese, meat, sausage, jams and honey, 4 types of yoghurt and cereals and you could eat as much as you wanted, which we did. I left the hotel feeling very rested and relaxed and more than ready for another full day of driving. Highly recommended!
We stayed here for one night each way on a National holidays trip to Switzerland. We had room 303 going out and 403 on return. Both rooms were a decent size with two single beds which were very comfortable They had shower cubicles but no bath(on request) and were squeaky clean. The rooms both had mini bars but no safe or tea & coffee making facilities. The rooms did NOT have air conditioning and although a fan was provided this merely stirred the air rather than cooling the room. Add to this a window which opened only 4 inches at the top and you had all the makings of a sweatbox, and so it proved. Sleep was difficult to say the least and most of our group found likewise. Overall the place itself was fine but the the summer months make the heat in the rooms unbearable. Go in the winter or spring or suffer 30 degree + room heat in the summer. The hotel is close to the A8 autobahn and can just be seen from the road though there were no noise issues. Bearing in mind the hotel was working to the budget National Holidays allowed them the dinner was fine. Buffet style with soup or fresh salad to start with followed by a choice of Pork loin or fish with potatoes and fresh(not tinned) vegetables. There was a choice of 5 sweets mainly different types of fruit in juice. Breakfast was the usual continental offering. Rolls, cold meats, cheese, h/b eggs, diced fruit, yogurt, fruit juice, tea & coffee. Scrambled egg & bacon was the only hot food. We had no issues with the food whatsoever though some moaned about the limited choice. The room heat was a big issue for us in that it made sleeping difficult. Sort that out and this is a decent little hotel. It is not the ritz but nor is it a dump
