"A very enjoyable stay"
Just one night, but enough to enjoy the quality of service, room, cleanliness and quietness of the hotel. Location is perfect to visit the old town. A very pleasant stay overall. We will be back for sure.
"Friendly, comfortable place for a stop off on the way to Switzerland"
We have stopped off here in the past and were happy to see the hotel is still comfortable, with a good breakfast as we remembered. The only tiny problm is parking in the same street as the machines only allow 2 hours at a time except Saturday night to Monday morning. Otherwise would be happy to come here again, as in the past.
"Visit to Mulhouse"
Very nice hotel for a short city break, close to all facilities, easy parking outside and around the hotel. Good reception from the owner, David, pleasant room for 3 people with breakfast included at a VERY reasonable price. Room was very clean, bathroom was good, breakfast continental style with eggs if requested. Mulhouse is well worth a visit with their train and automobile museums
"Great location to visit town, but don't take a car"
Hotel provides everything you want for a short city break with the centre of town and plenty of restaurants a very short walk away (300m) however car parking is very limited and on the street, so bring plenty of change.
"Mixed bag"
Good and bad points we noticed on our arrival. We had to use a buzzer to gain entrance, the reception was manned on arrival, but after going out to eat we and others struggled to get back in,the reception had been left unattended. They also had forgotten to give us the code. The rooms are quite small for the money paid,do have airlin, and an average bathroom.
"Good location and quiet"
Lovely spacious room with everything needed available. Excellent choice at breakfast in a pleasant dining room. Front of house staff very helpful. superb location for train travellers, quiet but close to the station with pleasant walks close by.
"Birthday weekend"
The scores below tells you all you need to know. I took my wife here for her birthday treat. The location is perfect to explore the Alsace region with easy access to trains. Great hotel, great location, go for it..!
"Horrific building site and constant harrassment by cleaners"
We arrived late from a road trip from a italy. The hotel was a building site we had not been warned. There were few rooms occupied. We took two rooms one for us and one for the children. In the morning the cleaners woke us at 9am by barging into the room we told them we were not ready to check out they then entered our children's room without knocking. We told them again we were not ready to check out. They then tried twice to re enter the rooms when we were bathing. When we told them firmly that it was only 9.45am and check out was not until 11.30am they sat outside the door in the dust strewn floor in the corridor amongst the building choas. Having checked out we walked int town and bought some shopping which was stolen from a coffee shop. This is not a nice place to stay.
"great location, quality and price"
I have stayed here on 2 occasions and was very impressed with the location and service. Street parking is available outside and is free after business hours. Prices are excellent and highly recommend. The location is good being very close to the city centre.
"Good hotel for a buisness trip"
- Fast check in / check out- Highly professional and kind staff- Good breakfast (but unfortunately no scrambled eggs)- Good location (Center of Mulhouse / good connection to Switzerland - only 30-40 min. Basel)- Good restaurants in the surroundings
"one of the bests hotels to stay in"
I like the design, very nice and calm placevery good especially for ppl who want to travel in malhouse, close to the centre of the city and to the cathedralI would stay again in this hotel if I travel again to malhouse
"Good location"
This was a good Hotel to stay in to visit Mulhouse. We received a warm welcome. Our rooms were comfortable and breakfast was good. It was about a 20 minute walk into the centre for a meal. On street parking payable from 9 until 5 so as long as you leave the hotel before 9 in the morning it would be ok.
"Classic French Hotel"
Arrived at about 3.00 p.m. with a warm welcome - multi lingual reception. First problem on street parking payable from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. though the meters take cards. Rooms on first floor were in traditional French style, though our room at the end of the floor was bigger than our friends' room though both had tea and coffee making facilities. Clean and well appointed en-suite bathroom, if a little tired. We were able to settle into our rooms and then had a relaxing beer in the lounge before walking into the town centre, not too far away. Slept well and enjoyed a hot shower before a reasonable breakfast. Wide choice in the usual French breakfast style though the croissant were a little disappointing. Fresh Cona coffee as well as a coffee machine. This was the most expensive hotel in our trip, but we were pleased overall. Staff very friendly and helpful and put up with my attempts to speak French!
"Clean and comfortable "
Stayed there for only one night. The room was very clean and comfortable beds. There was complimentary coffee and tea with a brand new kettle. In the room we stayed in there was only a shower (no bath) but great facilities available (ie shower, toilet, hair dryer) and products (eco friendly shampoo and body wash) were offered. The receptionists were very welcoming and spoke 3 languages - German, English and French. I wasn't a fan of the town - not much to do - but lovely hotel!
"Convenient, clean and friendly"
The price and location near the train station were important considerations, and this hotel fit the bill nicely. The room was clean and comfortable, if somewhat bare bones. I needed to extend my reservation before arriving, so I phoned and the person was very friendly and accommodating. They have a nice place to park a bike, and they were very helpful with it. I would have liked a minibar or refrig to keep drinks cool, or ice, but neither was available. They did offer put my bottle of water in their refrigerator, however. Breakfast seemed expensive for what was offered. Overall, I feel this hotel is a good value, and they get extra points for friendliness.
"Nice location, but too many incidents"
Stayed in this hotel two nights in May 2018. In the first night, there were big problems with the internet connection (probably due to thunderstorm). In the second night, the fire alarm went off (false alarm) at 7.30 AM and was ringing noisily for about 10 minutes. Location and service were actually good. I guess I was just unlucky, but I will leave the higher grades for the luckier guests.
"Clean and comfortable"
This hotel was an easy walk from the train station and is well located near the tram and several restaurants. The evening receptionist was very helpful answering our questions about the train strike and went out of her way to check on connections for us. This is an old hotel so the room is small but it is attractively decorated. The bathroom has been updated. The breakfast includes a choice of fruit, cereal, cold cuts, cheese, hard boiled eggs and pastries, including home made cake.
"No parking space and a lousy breakfast"
I expected a lot more from this hotel. First off, I stayed there on a business trip, so went by car to Mulhouse, but the hotel didn't have a parking space. The guarded parkings are too far away from the hotel, so I had to park the car in front of the door, after paying 4 euros by credit card for about 3 1/2 hours (from 19h00 it's for free till 07h00 in the morning). The rooms are clean and comfortable, a bottle of water and some tea bags are for free. Not more not less. The people at the reception are very friendly, and will tell you where to find some nice restaurants. Now the breakfast which is about 9 euros is not worth it; a slice of cheese and a slice of ham type of breakfast. The croissants, bread, yoghurt are all synthetic (deep frozen supermarket stuff). I paid 86 euro for a double including those miserable cold cuts.
"Convenient for Eurovelo 6"
Reception staff were very nice and helped us park our bikes in a secure courtyard. Room was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was ok but if you're going to have a massive clock on the wall probably worth having one that works and isn't stopped at 11.20.
"very comfortable in an excellent location"
the hotel is both close to the train station and to excellent restaurants. Our room was spacious with excellent air conditioning. The bathroom was a bit weird but hey you are in France; however, everything works. The room was quiet and clean. I would be happy to stay here again

Dear thank you so much for our very good comment we wisches a nice summer
"Okay"
This wouldn't be my first choice. It however worked for the night. The room has a silly sensor light that goes on at random. but thankfully there was a door to be closed so that help. The rooms are nothing special just basic. The shower has no light in it so showering can get interesting. Reception desk wasn't very friendly.
"Clean and Comfortable"
The hotel is iwithn easy walking distance from the train station. The room is a nice size and the bathroom was spotless with a large tub. The breakfast is a good basic continental breakfast with cold cuts and hard boiled eggs. All in all, a good place to stay for visiting the area.

dear thank you so much for the very gut comment we are very happy
"Easy to find and park"
Not knowing where to go we googled "Best Western" nearby on our phone and this hotel popped up. We were pleasantly surprised when we were able to park in front and get rooms including breakfast for a great price.
"Comfortable older hotel"
Traveling thru France and needed a place t sleep and eat. Did a quick Trip Advisor search on the side of the road, this Best Western was reasonably priced, available and in an area that looked like it may be interesting. Check-in was fast and friendly, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, bath linen fluffy. It is older but not run down. No air conditioning but an open window cooled the room w/o a lot of noise until @ 6:30 when traffic started up. A nice local Resturant about 2 blocks away on a central plaza provided a nice meal outside with menus in english and friendly service. I would stay here again.
"Well situated"
This is a nice and clean hotel; rooms are normal size and the bathroom is not fancy but has what is needed and is clean; beds are comfortables and you do not hear the noise of the street; breakfast is simple. the price is very honest; the staff is friendly and very helpful;
"Nice hotel with good location"
This hotel is very close to Mulhouse center with all the shops, restaurants and old churches etc. The cite de Automobile, the famous Schlumpf-auto-museum, is about 2 km away and easily access by walk and highly recommendable. The hotel itself is not big and it is renovated in an old-style, but cosy and nice. The rooms are adequate and clean. I would however prefer a minibar/refrigerator in the room. The breakfast are 11 euro, which is a bit pricy considering the selection of food is not large. Parking can easily be made in the area (payable).
"a very good place to stay"
we really liked this hotel. the location is fabulous, very close to the center but also very quiet. the room was very clean, and well furbished. we appreciated the service, the extra mile crossed by all the staff members and the very pleasant feeling that we were "home". we will keep this address in mind if we ever have to go to mulhouse or if any of our friend has.
"A very good hotel indeed!"
We stayed here for one night on our way north and were so pleased we did - it's excellent! It's well located, only minutes walk from the city centre's shops, bars and restaurants. The rooms are a little old fashioned, as was our bathroom which needed some tlc, but are very comfortable and spotlessly clean, which is all you need. The buffet breakfast was excellent, as was the service from everyone we ensountered. The manageress made us very welcome when we checked in and was very helpful re our questions. An excellent Best Western and an ideal stopover!
"It loks old fashion but is very good."
Leave the station following the tram line past the post office and take first right, then first left, you are there. The hotel is in a quiet area and my room (203) was very quiet overlooking a courtyard. All the staff spoke English, were friendly and helpful. Beakfast had a range of cold dishes. One morning the coffee machine broke down and the brakfast waiter provide cofee from the kitchen. Several restaurants were marked up on a map but I still managed to get lot one evening but the central station is well signposted so I soon found myself. Restaurants: Chez Hug I would recommend. Pic-Vit- the meat was so tough that I couldn't cut it let alone eat it. Au Bureau- Very close, good food and value for money highly recommended. You must remember that French food is highly over rated, the sight of people eating raw mince meat served up with lots of ceromony I found revolting.

Dear for your information our hotel is renovated in this style,is not old. Best regard.
"Excellent Breakfast! Amazing for France!"
My wife and I have traveled to 50 countries and extensively in France, as she is French. This hotel has one of the best breakfasts of any hotel we have stayed at in France. To give you a few examples of what distinguishes it: extremely high quality gourmet coffee (best we have had in Any hotel Anywhere); homemade apricot compote and homemade stewed pear compote made with large pieces of fruit; boulangerie quality viennoiseries (pastries); delicious cinnamon brioche; homemade custards; good quality cheeses; olives, etc. Moreover, the proprietress vigorously oversees the breakfast operations to ensure they don't run out of anything. The rooms are very tastefully done in modern classic with rich use of woods, high quality mattresses, attention to detail and obviously no expense spared. Rooms on one side give onto a calm rich green square whose tall old trees reach toward upper floor hotel windows. A delight, we will be back!
"what it should be, plus very convenient location"
Only stayed one night having travelled by train from London and moving on following morning. Clean, warm place, very easy to find from main station (3 mins walk) and tram just across the square too. Reception not really 'warm', but we did check in quite late in the evening, and when I asked, we were directed to a nearby restaurant that would still be open for food, so all fine.
"Excellent Hotel"
The hotel is located in the center of Mulhouse, rooms are very large with beautiful bathrooms. We took two rooms, a double and a single, beautiful furniture. The hotel is located in the center of Mulhouse, near shops that are open on Sunday, a pub, and a square that on April was covered with flowers
"Very clean, pet friendly hotel."
Very close to town centre, 5-10 minutes walk away from restaurants and nice town walks. Very clean, basic amenities in the room (i.e.: fixed soap and shower gel, hairdryer). Would recommend, since other places that seemed better in photos, did not look that good in reality..

"No service and no food or drink available"
Arrived at 7 pm after 14 hr journey from uk checked on line in way for rooms and 5 were available . On arrival we were told no rooms available so I went outside and booked on line as too tired to travel further and went back in . The duty manager had no reason why he refused us room I can only imagine after such a journey we did not look appropriate . On line said it was dog friendly and he refused the dog who had to sleep in the car . When we asked about food or bar it was not open

"GREAT HOTEL - Don't bother to look for another"
Less than 5 minutes walk from train station. 5-10 to old town. QUIET. Sufficient breakfast although for Americans we always think they are expensive for what you get. Several good restaurants very close and many in the center of town. Rooms spacious and linens outstanding. Friendly. Won't even bother to look at another if I go back to Mulhouse. Very fair price too.
"OMG"
If this hotel is best listed here, Mulhouse must not be a place where u want to stay overnight. The hotel looks great from the outside but inside it is old. Looks like granny just died here yesterday. Rooms are clean. Staff is nice but overall: sorry Mulhouse, get your hotels straight.
LaurenceAlsace20, Responsable réception at BEST WESTERN Hotel De La Bourse, responded to this review
Dear tank you to comment, but you should know that this is our style, our hotel is renovated since 2010 WE WANT the style, is not old.your review is not fair und not good for us.I am verry sorry you have not understood it best regard Federle Laurence

"Very dog friendly!"
They do have a house cat, but he doesn't appear unless your doggies are out of sight. The staff are so sweet and very accommodating. The room was very big and beautiful. Very pleased with out stay. They allow any size dogs, as we brought a pit bull and a Doberman.

"Staff very helpful "
On our stay in Mulhouse in the hotel timothee was a very helpful kind person we struggled with language barrier but he made several extra efforts to make our stay comfortable thank you for your help .. Also very close to shopping and train station.
"Extremely poor hotel"
Extremely small size of smelly room when asked to change the room then the rude staff refused to help me. Forget the staff have smiles on their faces as a matter of fact they are always angry and ready to fight with you for no reason. I am 100% sure that after my reading my review which is based on my personal experience they will start new fight with me. Do yourself a favour stay at somewhere else.

dear customer, you can provide me with a copy of invoice and give me a name of the receptionist to check your statements! Without it we can not verify and believe what you write. thank you in advance Federle Laurence
"OK hotel near Basel"
I booked a late holiday during term holiday in basel so I was looking to staying somewhere near basel, so I chose this hotel. We arrived around 12:00 after a early flight, we were told that we had to wait till 14:00 which was the checkin time. I have been to pretty much every major european cities and in most cases I have been allowed to the room before checkin time(it it was ready). they were kind enough to let our hand language in the reception and use the toilet. The room was clean and decent size and the TV had a lot of channels (most of them french). We swicthed on the AC, and it was not working so we asked the reception who told us, if it is too hot open the window, they only switch on the heating during autumn. The location is great , very near the station and central city.
LaurenceAlsace20, Responsable réception at BEST WESTERN Hotel De La Bourse, responded to this review
Dear customer, we try to always give the rooms as possible that day it was not possible the hotel was full the night before, normally the chek in is from 14.30 this is noted on the websites you've had your room 14hrs before criticizing then read the conditions on the internet, we are a small team, and have a clean room it takes time. Thank you
"Downtown Mulhouse"
Excellent quality of service. Premium location. The breakfast is very good. The rooms are clean. They are taking care and it is easy to find good local restaurants in the area. It is typical. The visit of museums is easy. A very cool experience indeed. I recommend it.

"Not the Best Western"
Surprisingly the top hotel in Mulhouse on TripAdvisor. Small tired room with a minute bathroom (bring a shoehorn with you!). Bathroom sink had no plug and the extractor fan was not working. The whole place looked in need of some TLC. The express breakfast at 7 Euros is overpriced for burnt croissants/pain au chocolat, bread and drinks). The garden was a very small area suitable for smokers. Parking is not a problem as the Station underground car park is only 7 minutes away.
LaurenceAlsace20, Responsable réception at BEST WESTERN Hotel De La Bourse, responded to this review
dear customer before criticizing our hotel on the internet, if the room does not suit you could have asked to change the express breakfast consists for € 7 croissant plain or chocolate more out of bread butter several jams and honey to homemade cake choice of hot drink and juice fruis all this at will.To garden we are in center yes is small but found a big garden !
"Comfy, convenient, convivial"
There's a warm welcome, comfortable room and a good breakfast at Hotel de la Bourse. And, for me, a key advantage is that it's 5-min walk from the station, where we arrived and departed, with its tram stops and buses for local Mulhouse journeys. It's also next to a very handsome colonnaded square, where there was open-air tango(?) dancing one evening, and very handy for the Printed Material Museum. All in all a great choice.
"Surprised at what we found"
We are BW members so we booked through their webpage. The price was really low but we took the chance thinking the room would be just ok. It was convenient as it was near the train station. What a surprise! The room was a bit small but enough to accommodate two persons; the bathroom was also excellent with soft towels, a good shower. Everything was very clean. The A/C worked so well too. The staff was wonderful, very helpful and kind. We didn´t have breakfast because of lack of time so I can´t comment on that. I am giving this hotel an excellent because the relation price-room is more than correct. You can see they are doing a wonderful team work, and I can recognize that. After reading other reviews that talk about Caramel, the cat, I asked about him, but he was out on his night tour. Next time. Because we will surely return to this hotel.

"Nice hotel in good location close to town centre"
Quite a nice hotel on a quiet street in Mulhouse. Managed to get on street parking right next to hotel for a small charge on pay and display. The hotel was a nice change from the usual bland corporate design in a shabby chic type style. Paid around Euro 12 for buffet style breakfast as most convenient option. Good for one or two nights stay if visiting area.

"Not sure why this is the #1 hotel in Mulhouse"
Not sure why this is the #1 hotel in Mulhouse, but if it really is I would be afraid to learn what the others are like. This is a decent hotel but my experience was biased by the fact that the elevator was broken when we arrived, so we had to shlep up two flights of stairs with our luggage, our baby, and all our baby accessories. When we entered the room it smelled like a public restroom, but we were already running late, so rather than shlep back downstairs with everything to see if they could change rooms, we opened the windows to air it out and when we returned later that evening it smelled a bit better. We were also disappointed that there was no fridge in the room. The positives are: GREAT air conditioning (important in August), free wifi, decent breakfast buffet (adorably, the chef is a Cat named Caramel who does the rounds in the dining room - a nice charming touch), decent sized room for European standards. No parking but we got a paying spot right out front. The elevator was eventually fixed, and every staff person we encountered was lovely, but the first impressions are what sticks. If I were ever returning to Mulhouse I would probably try a different hotel.
"Convenient and friendly"
An easy walk from the train station, downtown Mulhouse and the tram stops made convenience our main reason for choosing this hotel. The air conditioning in the room, with control for temperature setting as well as on/off was a real plus during the very hot weather. The very comfortable bed, desk handy for laptop, welcome tray with coffee and tea makings, modern bathroom, and quiet location all made the stay most pleasant, as did the very friendly and helpful staff. Also, there is a handsome hotel cat. Would happily stay here again on a future visit.
"nice stop after a long journey"
We wars long time on the motorway. With us wars a dog and we wars very late.We hat a very warm welcome. The receptionist made extra for us somethings to eat,Then for us was to late to go in a restaurant with our dog.He serve it in our room and we was happy about this.Very friendly staff and we feel welcome,Only one point was not good. The fruits on the buffet (breakfast) was not really fresh. The banana starting to get brown.
"charming hotel in peaceful town location"
The distance from the station was just about perfect, a very short, very pleasant walk. There was no dinner provided, but then there were so many delightful restaurants in town that it did not matter. The concierge was very helpful. My impression was of a peaceful, quiet hotel with character. My room had a flat screen TV, was well presented and clean with distressed paint effects and a little curtain over my bed, wooden floorboards, effective air conditioning and a smart shower that worked, I also had a sliding door between the bathroom and the room which added a layer of insulation. To my surprise breakfast was of the German style with cold meat, cheese, bread baguette to be sliced and some sweet Alsatian cake specialities also yogurt and fruit. Coffee and tea were available on a help yourself basis.
"Freizeit, Langeswochende"
Great service from the desk personnel , Putzfrau, and in the breakfast room. Great breakfast with fresh Baguettes and croissants every day, along with large food selection. Very quiet location for restful sleeping. Less than a 5 minute walk to the Mulhouse city center which had a nice mall, numerous restaurants, and a quaint Altstadt (Old City). Short drive north to Colmar, or south to Basel. We did it all.
"satisfied"
A quick overnight stay. The hotel was good, the bedroom was more than adequate but the bathroom a little cramped. No secure parking could put people off staying, Breakfast had a good choice of the usual but I don't remember anything hot. Staff pleasant and helpful but not an inviting town.
