Sure Hotel by Best Western Lorient Centre

We booked and paid, but the rooms were unacceptable, the heating did not work properly and we would have stayed if a heater was provided but the management would not provide one. So we booked out and the Management refused to refund what we had paid and were quite nasty about it!

Avoid this Hotel, this is the worst we have stayed in the whole Best Western range. The room was small, it smelt and the heating didn`t work. The Receptionist (the only member of Staff there) was totally out of his depth.

Convenient central location but quiet. Good choice of restaurants close by. Easy parking in nearby square with some parking behind the hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly. Good breakfast buffet from 6am. I will be very happy to stay here again when next in Lorient.

On arrival we had to ne let in by another customer, we didnt know where to park as there were no staff in at the time with the shutters closed. They also messed up the room as we asked for a twin and got a double. However; they did change straight away so thank you there. The rooms are quite small which I expected from a hotel in the centre of a French town. The hotel is close to the centre which is fantastic, so if thats what you are after then great. I personally would be seeking out other hotels in the area before even thinking about returning. Thanks for the stay thoufh snd have a good year ahead.

I've stayed at this hotel twice. Staff is really friendly, breakfast is great and location is really convenient. Rooms sizes are great for France! The only weird thing is that you must leave your keys always at the front desk. Internet access is also weird.

This hotel is in the center of Lorient though in a area with not many restaurants; the restaurant zone is a quick walk away, about 5 minutes. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are big and offer complimentary tea kettle with coffee and teas. However the bathroom was tiny in comparison to the size of the room that didn't really seem logical or an efficient use of space. And the walls between the rooms are VERY thin, I could actually hear the conversations next door (thank God there were no other noises...). The pub right next door is quite nice and definitely a "locals" hang-out.

We have stayed at the Astoria many times and will always return. The staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great. The rooms are fairly basic, but clean and what we notice is that improvements have been made every time we return. If you want peace and quiet best to ask for a room to the rear. Having said that, the noise from the road is not bad but occasionally there can be noise from the bar next door. The windows are double glazed so the sound of traffic is only obtrusive with the window open. The location is fairly central and handy for all the shops.
