Best Western Hotel & SPA Pau Lescar Aeroport

From the moment we checked in to departure day, we were treated so good and made to feel at home There was nothing that was too much trouble, every member of staff were superb The hotel itself was warm and friendly with a nice vibe Although the hotel does not have a restaurant there are plenty of options to eat locally Room was immaculate with nice deep soft beds, the shower has three positions each giving a power shower in a non crampt invironment The spa and swimming pool also excellent as was the sauna, the Hamam was not working at the time of our visit Breakfast in the morning was from 06.00 until 10.00 so plenty of time I highly recommend

This is now called Hotel Spa Vamcel and i think it is part of the Inter Hotel chain. It is obviously very recently renovated, and as such is very fresh, modern, spotless and well equipped.The comfort rooms are large, with a balcony. The double bed is very comfy, and the room has TV, fridge and furniture. The bathroom has a shower with multi nozzles (overhead or full body). The Spa complex is excellent with lovely decorated pool area, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.This is all included. There are extra charges for treatments and the Spa Bier. This appears to be private hot tub baths with beer pumps to help yourself - but it is very over priced. The free Spa is perfectly adequate and local Pyrenees bier is E3 a bottle in the bar. There is a sport Bar next door, but it closes at 6.30pm. (it is a sports shop/museum with a bar inside!) Round the corner is a separte restaurant with good food and drinks. The only slight negative is the location. It is in a very quite location just past a retail/industrial estate. However, many rooms look out onto trees/hills and it means it is very quiet and peaceful. You wouldn't maybe want to spend the whole day there, but its an ideal base to explore Pau, or venture into the Pyrenees (45 mins drive). The ladies on reception/breakfast are lovely. 3 of the 4 speak English and all are very friendly, helpful and always give you a smile and greeting. Breakfast is a great buffet, although the only hot cooked items are scrambled egg and bacon (not a full English, but this is France). the rest of the buffet makes up for it, with cheeses,ham,croissants, pastries, breads, cakes, fresh fruit, hot drinks and juices, yogurts, and a great machine that squeezes fresh oranges. I .loved this place and stay in quite a few hotels with work. It only has 40 rooms, so is much more friendly and quiet than big chains, but still has the facilities. (very basic gym of cycling machine and running machine)

We were at this hotel everytime, when we had business trip in Lescar. The rooms are clean and tidy everyday except Sunday. The hotel offers breakfast (8€), smoking room and wellness. Wellness consists of finland sauna, hammam, pool, jacuzzi, russian steam sauna (baňa) and beer bath. The last two are charged if you even hotel host. Finland sauna: automatic dosing of water into furnace, more room for legs. Nice one. Hammam (steam sauna): Missing of water source and hose for flashing sweat after period. Except this error, sauna offers generous room for laying and sitting. Pool: Approx. 5x5 m, but shallow 50 cm maybe, not for long swimming. Relax: Missing crouches for relax is the biggest error of the wellness. After sauna is necessary to lay down and get rest. Privacy: The second error is missing of privacy. From the breakfast room is possible to see directly wellness rooms. Your nudity as well. The opaque door would solve this problem.

Its in an industrial estate but its quiet, clean, tidy, and one of the better places we have stayed in on this trip. The staff were brilliant supplying maps and helpful advice on finding places. The breakfast at 11 euros each a little expensive but its a buffet so eat as much as you can.

We stayed here on the way to our house in Spain. It was still in the throws of upgrading / construction, but, the main hotel bit was finished. The room was clean and reasonabley large. aircon provided. They don't or didn't have a restaurant ,but, there is a very nice one within walking distance (if you can manage about 100yds). We did not have breakfast as we were off early. Staff were pleasant and attentive. All in all a great place to stay. Stay again-yep most certainly.
