Small pool, good continental breakfast. Bathroom in king suite room was very small and sofa bed not too stable…I suggest it be changed for future guest's security. Other than than our stay was good. Staff was respectful and courteous.

Good location, wide breakfast, clean pool. Close to city centre and largest shopping mall. Went with 4 year old that appreciated the pool. Breakfast buffet is good. We live in the city but chose this hotel as mini vacation due to location to other activities, shopping, hiking in nearby wooded area, sliding in nearby park.

Last minutev reservation. Exactly what we needed. Breakfast was ok but people there were very knig and fast for repsonding to our demand. A bit noisy cause of the boulevard but we expected iit. If you, like me, are sensitive to the noise, easy, just bring your earplugs and the stay will be perfect.

Excellent hotel to to stay at well. Visiting relatives in the area. It is a little far away from tourists attractions and the highway system is some what difficult to navigate bur if you have to navigate in a circle to approach the hotel again the distances to travel around are not that bad and much safer then trying to push through heavy traffic or attempt any u-turns. All said the accommodation are not disapointing.

The place was clean. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast area was clean and organized. Complimentary breakfast was reasonably good. For families with small kids would be a perfect choice as kids under 12 are offered free breakfast as well.

Maybe not the biggest hotel with the most amenities but it was clean, comfortable, friendly staff, had a warm breakfast, quiet and not overcrowded, small pool but not overcrowded, it was a nice stay overall.

second time at this location. we found it close to shopping mall and outlets. and only a short drive downtown .easy parking included. very clean and organized. and the staff are very helpful. the only thing the pool does not open early enough to go for a wake up swim .

a 4-night family stay. the hotel is clean (clean room, clean breakfast space, etc.). we loved the full hot breakfast and the delicious crispy bacon every 2 mornings! staff is generally helpful and dedicated to their work. nice renovated room with wooden floor, a window with a view on the breakfast area. we enjoyed the heated pool which is longer than at most hotels, which allows you to swim laps. the exercise room is small and some things weren't fully working. event though hotel is a few kilometres from the main downtown core, it's easily accessible by car. an example: a trip at night from Place Bell to the hotel only took 6 minutes. also, price was very competitive (considering it's one of the few Laval hotels with a breakfast included). we would definitely stay there if we go back to Laval one day.

I travel a lot but never came across such a pleasant stay. From the front desk to the room, to the breakfast to the pool everything was perfect. The entire staff is very professional and courteous. They go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. Especially At the front desk Tiziana and Manouka. Next visit to Quebec I will definitely stay at the Best Western in Laval

If you are unconcerned about being a long way from restaurants, shopping, entertainment etc you might be satisfied with this location which is in the middle of an Industrial Park, but a long way from anything else. The staff, however is very accomodating and fluent in both French and English. They provided great service. If you like natural light, stay away from any rooms surrounding the pool on the lower floor. Price was reasonable, $30 to $50 less expensive, but I spent more than that on UBER getting to places I could have walked to had I chosen the Holiday Inn Express.

We stayed four nights and throughout the visit the staff was friendly and helpful! This hotel is very clean, everywhere!! The bed was very comfortable and it is a quiet place at night! The location is excellent! It's 5 minutes from the Centropolis (which features many many excellent restaurants)! It's also ten minutes from the metro to Montreal (metro ride is 30 minutes to Old Town Montreal)!

The hotel was very nice, it had a welcoming atmosphere. Great customer service and staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was great. The room was clean. Will definitely come back again!

We traveled for a hockey tournament with a large group, staff would not allow us to sit in common areas of the hotel, which there are alot of! We were pretty much forced to stay in our separate rooms or socialize outside in the parking lot. Pool did not have towels and the staff kicked our kids out so they could close early. Wifi did not work! It was the most we've paid for a hotel this hockey season and it was the worst hotel yet! Breakfast was good, that was the only good thing about this hotel!

Had an amazing time at this hotel they have a beautiful pool and very nice rooms. The staff are amazing and speck French & English no problem. I stayed 9 nights and had a very peaceful stay. Definitely will be back.

Awesome people, always accommodating to customer wishes for a good stay! They managed to find me a room with a bigger bed and a sofa bed for the all family to have a good and restful sleep after a long journey.

Rooms are in basement facing the interior pool. There are no windows to allow aeration and staff isn't accommodating at all. When we complained about the odour of the room, they told us to turn on the bathroom fan. Very claustrophobic room and not worth the price at all. We couldn't sleep there, we left the same night and booked somewhere else.

The hotel was very nice and was well laid out. My room was spacious and very contemporary. Breakfast was very good and the gym was nice. It was in a good location and not far from downtown. I did find it pricey compared to the other BW 25 minutes down the road.

They charged extra for breakfast for our 13 year old even though the terms of our booking showed breakfast included. Breakfast is pretty bad anyway. I regretted booking here. Rooms are clean but bear-bone with tiny non-HD TV. Shower is terrible. Avoid if you can.

My kids enjoyed the indoor swimming pool! We would definitely recommend this hotel for families with kids looking to have a getaway and some fun with their kids at the pool! The pool was not very deep which was ideal for the kids, it was also a small one and not too many people using it, with covid situation, you have to book a time slot and there is a maximum of 10 people per time slot in the swimming pool. It was very well coordinated and available for use. We had a very nice stay and will be going back!!

stayed overnight with my partner, staff were friendly and service was good. atmosphere was nothing to write home about however. finding my room was easy with clear instruction on how to get there from the reception. upon arriving to my room there was some garbage on the floor next to the trash can (soap bar wrapper and an empty travel sized shampoo bottle). the coffee machine had water stains possibly mildew within the compartment for the grains and the water tank itself, it didn't smell all too pleasant so I passed on making myself coffee on arrival. I had no other issues with the room but can't say the same about the complimentary breakfast. little to no variety just eggs (boiled or scrambled) toast, yogurt, a fruit, and meat (I have no idea what kind since on the menu it didn't not specify the type or cut of meat for all I know it could have been smoked ham, bacon, or maybe sausage but I wasn't too excited for the selection of "meat"). honestly overall not the worst hotel I've stayed at and still enjoyable with the friendly staff even bringing my uber eats to our room. I'd give this place a solid 6.5/10

The rooms were beautiful and soundproof. There were many large common areas, and a spacious breakfast room. Staff were helpful, friendly. Only complaint is that the fitness centre has slightly outdated equipment. Otherwise, a great experience.

Convenient location next to a highway. Room was clean, beds comfortable, breakfast organized (fill a paper order, they will serve you) no sharing utilities with other guests, way better than Hilton branch hotels. Close proximity of Tim Hortons and Costco.

Nicely renovated hotel on the inside. Suite we had was very large which allowed air mattresses for kids. Pool was a good size, no jacuzzi though. It was nice and quiet for sleeping. Breakfast quality was terrible! Otherwise, good place to stay.

We stayed for 1 night during the long weekend. My family needs were all catered and my kids enjoyed the pool . Hotel is nicely renovated and room was immaculate. Staff was so helpful specially the frontdesk girl Emily and the breakfast lady. We will definitely be back.

On a week-end when the hotel was sold out, there was not a manager to be found. Front line staff provided the urgent call number for the manager and she hung up on us as soon as we asked if this was Best Western. While the hotel is beautiful- do not judge a book by its cover because this hotels service was horrible!

Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Good hot breakfast, good variety, cafeteria staff is attentive. Front desk employee friendly, efficient. We feel welcome each time we stay at Best Western Laval. "Modern rooms"

Modern renovated rooms and hotel, but a few things to know. Some of the rooms only have windows to the inside no daylight. The room we had was very very small for a family of 4. We reserved 2 queens beds but got 2 double bed that were jammed in a very small room. During COVID-19 and I don't believe that the hotel was full. Noise from the hall way was very noticeable in our room, making a stay very noisy. For the rest location and was clean during out stay. I will not go back personally. Good location for a short stay I would have to say.

Stayed here for one night. Room is quite large and modern, recently renovated. There is a small fridge, coffee maker and iron. Free wifi. Although it is situated on the highway, rooms are very quiet and you can get a good night's sleep. Breakfast is usually a buffet but with Covid, you would give your order and they would bring you the food or you had the option of taking it back to your room. Choice was a bit limited.

We rent a Training Room for a 2 week Training with 10 participants. It was a perfect experience. Everyone in the Hotel is very kind. Full or part time employees, everyone is Friendly very happy to help. We have not a single thing to say that need to be improuved. Very good job guys !!

The man at the check in counter was really helpful and at breakfast you were serve like a king really great variety of choice of food. The rooms were clean the bed confortable, I slept like a baby. also the location is right next to the highway which make your traveling easier.

"Poor Sleep"

I was put in a room facing the street and was woken up at 4 AM by a snow clearing operation. It sounded like trumpets in my ears. I approached management at the front desk at 4:30 AM and asked if I could get a late check-out to catch up on sleep, but they requested I pay for that service. I was deeply offended that despite being a rewards member and having my sleep disturbed in this manner, that they wouldn't acknowledge it and wanted to charge me for the late check-out. My inability to make it for breakfast + to get a good night's sleep will likely ruin my vacation. I do not recommend this hotel if sleep is important to you.

Great service, this was a gift to my parents and they had a great time. Everything was perfect! The room was upgraded to a more luxurious one by the hotel. Wow! The reception personel was very nice qnd friendly. The room and he hotel were very clean.

"Fantastic king room"

All around fantastic stay at the Best Western Laval! The check-in was friendly and efficient, the room was comfortable and clean with a beautiful and romantic atrium balcony! All in all, I highly recommend this hotel. The only caveat would be that public transport in the winter is a bit of a problem, since the area streets have no sidewalks, but if you're by car, or in the warm months, there is no problem!

"Great Beds"

We stayed for 2 nights in November. Hotel is right off the highway. Our room was very clean. The beds are excellent. Great night sleep! The shower although beautiful is not that practical. Lots of water on the floor so be prepared. Free breakfast offers lots of choices.

Room was updated and very clean and spacious (including bathroom). Pillows were great and mattress was extremely comfortable. Breakfast included hot food as well, and a sign noted that gluten free options were available, but, I didn't ask for any. Only issue was that breakfast area is closed at night so if you get up very early you can't get coffee/tea before the area opens. Also - I couldn't find restaurants in comfortable walking distance, but, they do have quick Uber Eats to deliver. Only real negative was that the room prices were very high that week - must follow demand in the area.

As for the coffee you can always have some in your room at any time of the day, otherwise we have a coffee machine on the second floor near the room 209 (fee) and the last option, is the coffee machine at the front desk, there is always a clerk that can help you to make some :) In the area the best place with a lot of restaurants is the Centropolis, walking distance let say 45 minutes, it is at 2.5km on the other side of the highway 15, I would say summer time it is a great walk, but winter time ... maybe it is better with a car, but like you noted, you have a great choice of restaurants with Uber Eats. The mattress company that we are using is Simmons Beautyrest, as for the pillows the provider is Eden Textile. Friendly bilingual staff, the rooms are very nice, kept very clean. The bed is extremely comfortable! Good options for breakfast. High speed internet. Very quiet hotel, the breakfast gets a little noisy!

BW hotel laval it's a lovely place to stay with kids and not far from Sky Zone where kids can play on trampoline. We just had a great time with the kids. The only bad thing i will say it about the room that not clean, i have to call the desk to have it clean up

The BW Laval-Montreal has a great breakfast selection, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Ideal for business travelers who value quality. The location however is not suited for travelers arriving at the hotel by public transport, as there are no walkways. If cost is a factor, I suggest taxi/uber from Metro Montmorency.

"avoid at all costs"

I slept (tried) here on the 9th of october for work. Even though I called in advance to request a room that was not noisy, I was given a room right next to the reception (215 or 205 I believe) . The door to my room was not farther than 20 feet from the front desk. Sitting on my bed, I could hear the conversation going on at the reception as if I was right there. When I spoke to the man at the reception during check in (around 4 pm), he was extremely arrogant and said that the hotel was full so I had to deal with it. To top it off, I found hair in the bed as well as in the shower and the heating/ac unit was extremely noisy. I heard people coming in and going out of the hotel all night, did not sleep a wink. I will not be coming back here again, and I will discourage my employer from using this hotel in the future. I will happily pay extra to never have to stay here again.

Traveling for business I find this hotel very well located. The staff are extremely friendly, professional and efficient. The facility is always clean and well maintained. Quiet and subdued during evening hours makes it a great spot to get business done.

IF you are looking for style and comfort, with hopes of keeping the budget down, this is a great choice. Feels more like a condo complex than a hotel with its unique design. Breakfast is par for the course at best but expected for a free selection. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Only concern would be the tv choice. poor quality definition and smaller compared to similar designed hotels. Overall, very comfortable and welcoming. First time staying at this location when in Laval. Would go out of the way to stay again if the price was sensible. But then again prices are always outrageous in the Montreal!

Great hotel! The outside looks a bit old but the newly renovated rooms are beautiful. I had a King room with a balcony and it was great! The only thing I could complain about is that I couldn't log in to my Netflix account on the smart TV that was in my room, so, I just watched on my phone. Best Western hotels are always a great place to stay!

"Horrible service after hotel cancelled reservation"

I originally booked 3 nights through booking.com. I then realized that Best Westerns offer rewards points to be used towards free stays, so I immediately cancelled my booking.com reservation and booked directly through the hotels website. I received confirmation and cancellation emails from booking.com and I received a confirmation email from best western. Then, after a 7 hour drive from out of province, we arrive at the hotel and try to check in only to be told that they have no reservation for us. I gave them the confirmation number from the email I received from best western and he informs me that the reservation was cancelled. I told him that I only cancelled my booking.com reservation, not my reservation from the hotel. He then tells me there's nothing he can do, but they do have a room available for 2 nights only as they are sold out for the third night (Saturday night) I called the customer service number, they put me on hold as they called the hotel directly and were told the same thing. They said that they would have to get in touch with the owners of the property to see what can be done, but they could not guarantee me anything. I called booking.com who advised me that their bookings for that property are handled by a third party company who the hotel has hired to do their bookings. Somewhere along the line my original booking.com reservation was never booked properly therefor when the cancellation came through they cancelled my booking through the hotel which left me with no reservation at all. I was told to talk to the manager in the morning. I spoke with her the next day and she was very rude and unwilling to do anything for me for the inconvenience of me now having to find somewhere else to stay for a saturday night on a long weekend. They suggested I book at a property close by that was a motel that was nowhere near comparable to their hotel.... for the same price!?! We ended up booking at another property that we found ourselves. What was supposed to be a nice relaxing getaway for our birthdays turned out to be the most stressful weekend. Horribly rude staff.

The reservation system is build in 2 way, when someone from the 3rd parts or someone from Best Western booked in the system, they can cancel anytime by there own sides, without showing, asking or sending us a physical confirmation, yes we received the cancellation number in the reservation but the only way to see it is to open the reservation Unfortunately we were sold out on Saturday, when we meet on the morning I promesse you that we will do anything to help you to find a place in Laval, Edwin and Cindy make many calls around to find a place in an hotel and Edwin found a place for you, he immediately call you at the cell number that you let us at the reception and he propose you to make a reservation for you because the room was on hold, you refuse, you told him that it was ok that you will verify later to find a place. Clean comfortable and friendly with a great breakfast. Lovely staff. Perfect for a longer stay with my kids for a recent sporting event. Great location in Laval. Pool was nice. Heard there are plans for a lovely common space in the atrium which sounds lovely. Will stay again.

We stayed at Best Western for my wedding preparation. It was an amazing experience,the hotel was clean, the room was clean and the staff were amazing. The breakfast staff was very helpful and polite. He greeted us with a smile. He was making sure that the breakfast counter were clean and filled.They have a lot of food choices for breakfast. I'm am very satisfied with my stay at Best Western.

Clean and orderly. Rooms are updated with a clean modern appearence. Very good breakfast is offered with a friendly staff. Not too far away (very short drive)there is a new area where there's a variety of restaurants for lunch or dinner. We chose Thai but there are so many other types of restaurants to choose from. I'd reommend this hotel to others.

Excellent hotel, but too expensive compared to previous years. We have stayed at this hotel in the last 8 years and and the PRICE MORE THEN DOUBLED!!!! Very happy with staff, location (close to hwy), WI-FI, breakfast is very good, gym has what you need for a good workout. Comfortable beds, roomy dresser, room had lots of space left (2 queen beds) after all luggages were in the room. Did not use pool. Newly renovated and decorated, looks very nice after renovation. Would recommend this hotel.

Wonderful hotel with exceptional front check-in staff. I had numerous questions for them and they never got annoyed with me. We were really worried about the language barrier but they all spoke excellent english. The breakfast was the best i've had at any hotel.

"Good Value, Poor Water Pressure"

The hotel is conveniently located by the highway and overall it's clean and modern looking with a great hot breakfast buffet. However, the water pressure is very weak and staff did not look into correcting the problem (assume that is how the pressure is to save money). The room was freezing when we arrived as the temperature was set to 13 celcius. Also, noise travels throughout and could be disruptive.

Rooms were clean, tile floor not carpet, very updated look and style. Little balcony that opens to inside hotel courtyard was great place to relax and read morning paper. Continental breakfast that was included was amazing, good selection of fresh fruits and hot scrambled eggs. Real china dishes is delightful to eat from instead of paper cardboard of most hotel. The pool is nice also.Most of all, all personnel working there was pleasant and helpful. I have stayed in many other hotels in this area and for the price this one is my favorite! Will definitely return there

"Very cozy rooms with very friendly staff"

We checked in for one night into two rooms with 4 teens. The check in was quick. The rooms were VERY clean and extremely comfortable (the youngest wanted to bring the bed home LOL). The pool was small but the kids didn't mind. The breakfast was surprising. We expected a small continental breakfast, however the eggs, potatoes etc.. was very delicious. Stayed here in holiday checkin was a nightmare. Total cock up by the Best Western. The hotel is next to the freeway and so is very noisy with road traffic noise, add to that the fridge noise it doesn't add up to a great sleep. Breakfast was ok won't rush back

What a disappointment. First time at Best Western, and I picked it based on reviews and photos here on TripAdvisor. Looked good, and I liked that I got a check-in email 24 hours in advance. Great! I asked for quiet room, away from the elevators. What did we get? Room 117, sandwiched between the elevator on one side and the gym/treadmills on the other. Noise from the elevator all night. Not only that, you walk in and there is no light switch by the door - but if you try to reach around the corner, you hit your knee on the sharp corner of a side table. I notified the front desk about this, but didn't even get a 'I'm sorry'. Also, there is another door on the far side of the room, with a 1 inch band of light and noise being allowed in from the interior courtyard, and no lock. Odd. I had to walk around to confirm that the other side does not have a handle, thereby allowing someone to enter our room from this back door. In the bathroom - looks fine, except there is a 8 inch wide hole in the floor under the sink, as if they cut it to put the toilet there but changed their minds and installed it further over. But the hole was never filled in and instead remains there, about a foot deep, with bits of garbage in it. To top it off, the phone rings at 3:30am with "bonjour, this is your wake up call"! I will never stay at this hotel again. If you want a room that has a veneer that looks great, but delivers lots of interruptions and bruises, then this is your place.

We went for family trip to Montreal. The location of the hotel is quiet distant from old Montreal. 25 min drive, with some traffic. The hotel is remodeled. Heated indoor swimming pool . We did not use. It is very small. Gym equipment are old. The gym facility very small. In all the hotel is very good. But far from Montreal.

From sign-in to sign-out, our one night stay at the Laval Best Western was excellent. The front desk staff were more than helpful and very friendly. They even provided us with written instructions to get back to Highway 15, which was fairly complicated, to leave the hotel. The rooms and hallways were recently renovated and were modern, super clean and comfortable. Wood floors in the rooms were a great way to go. Lounge areas and breakfast areas open and bright. The only negative was the breakfast. Although the staff member in the dining area was excellent, the food was NOT hot at all....in fact room temperature, making it very unappetizing. Either the Waffles you make yourself or non-heated choices were the way to go. Other than that, I would highly recommend this location for convenience and great service. Would certainly stay there again if I was in the area.

We've stayed here many times. They continue to be a very good value. The renovations have freshened up the rooms and make them feel modern and attractive. Large rooms, free parking, very good included breakfast. In the past two years we've probably stayed a dozen times. We keep returning because of the comfort and overall value, even though it means a little farther drive getting to and from this hotel when we're visiting our family in the Plateau area.

Manager provided incorrect information related my cancellation request . And did not respond any of my subsequent questions . Managers response : On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. When you say that the hotel charged you $145, well in fact you did reserve with a third party, which is ----------, and we cannot interfere in this case. Therefore, they did charge you this amount and this matter have to be checked with them. Response from third party online booking service: Hello , I would have liked to speak with you; however, it's not an appropriate time to phone. I just spoke with Front Desk Supervisor regarding your cancellation and the message you received from the property. Front Desk Supervisor apologised for her manager sending incorrect information. They are the charging party, (should show property as charging party on your bank statement) and its their policy.

A comfortable and clean hotel that is next to two major highways making it easy to access Montreal in 10 minutes. Front desk servie was quick and efficient. Hotel staff are professional, friendly, and willing to address problems quickly. Breakfast was included which is a bonus! Kids loved open breakfast space next to pool.

As a "non-seasoned" business traveler, I had a meeting in the Centropolis area forcing me to book a hotel room on a wednesday. I always target hotels offering remodeled rooms, complimentary breakfast and basic services like wifi, workdesk & fridge in room. I asked for a room away from noisy streets and heavy circulation areas like elevators and stairs to get a good night sleep. Got everything I wanted. One of the cleanest rooms I ever had, I was impressed. If felt good having breakfast in the airy atrium with its high ceiling and skylight. Without being extraordinary, breakfast offer seemed better than what I saw in most similar-range hotels I stayed at in the past. To get a real edge, though, I would suggest steering away from heavily processed food to offer a more "home-made" taste. A few minor downsides : The bathroom did not undergo full remodeling like the rest of the room : the plumbing fixtures, floor&wall tile look outdated but are very clean. Small disappointments : iron was leaking water while I was ironing my shirt and HVAC, even though powerful enough to get the room warm, was slow to react & its commands were worn out. For a few minutes, it let me wondering if it was working at all. I had a good night sleep (wearing earplugs as usual in hotels). Pillows are on the soft side. Bedding was clean, soft and static electricity free.

The renovation looks good but we had few small issue. #1 toilet clog many times over the weekend, it's just annoying little thing #2 They dig us an extra 50$ for breakfast, I'm not impress, the invoice was all wrong and we had to spend time to get it fixed... #3 watch the curb up front, we damage a door on our van... The curb is way to high... #4 the bed was a bit soft but that's a question of personal taste Food was goo, no complains there.

My card was charged the full amount hours before we checked in, I specified while booking I was paying with cash and also selected a time for check in. We checked in 2 adults and 2 children. We were given 12 breakfast tickets for 4 days. I counted them and returned to the desk. She argued with me, while I showed her our confirmed booking for 4 people. Second trip back to the desk she tried to charge me $40 plus tax for 4 tickets for our 11 year old. I asked to speak to management, which was not an option that evening. On my third trip to the desk I emailed a copy of my reservation to booking.com and they sorted it for us. I was finally given the 4 tickets.

Front desk was very accommodating, professional and friendly. The weather was about to get bad with a snow storm on its way and I requested an early check in if there was a room available. They where able to accommodate me which was very nice of them to do, thank you BW!

I had a terrible night in this hotel. A lot of kids running and screaming until late night. And early in the morning is well. My room had a nice balcony but was on top of a breakfast area, pretty noisy

We have restriction established and we have security guard for those busy weekends. I hope that you will stay again with us on your next trip in Laval, you can always ask for a room with no balcony and an outside view, those types of rooms are not facing the atrium, they are more quiet. Hotel was good and service terrific, especially at the restaurant. I would strongly recommend this hotel to family. Pool and common area were very clean. The only issue was soundproofing in our room - I was able to heard my neighbours.

"woke me up at 3am with smoke detector bateries issue"

Checking in to your hotel the on the Thursday at 8PM to get a good night sleep. At 3am the smoke detector was going off with a beep every 30 seconds waking up my son and I. I got out of bed and got dressed. After going to the front desk to ask if there is a problem with the smoke detector, they said oh its just the batteries that need to be changed. They called someone and they came in the room and rip the unit off the wall and changed the batteries. It was not 3:30am. My son was able to go back to bed but unfortunately I was not. I went to my meeting that same morning and then came back to have a nap to recuperate on my sleep. My room was right in front of a conference room and there was a hockey team with parents drinking and making lots of noise. At that point I needed to get out of bed again and ask to be moved to another room. At the same time I asked what the hotel would do for all of the issues encountered and I was told 15% off for both nights. This is clearly acceptable.

Our hockey team stayed here and was supposed to have a minimum two night required and could check out by check out time and not have to pay the third. They did not permit this and forced us to pay the third night. Not flexible or accommodating at all. Poor customer service. Gouching customers. If your team books you will get a better rate if you book without the team. We had to pay 140 per night and our friends paid 109.

Hi, your reservation was made by a third part, hotel planner, those platforms signed contract. The contract was signed with a 2 days not flexible, witch was the Friday and the Saturday, your team came on the Thursday night that night was not included in your contract and was at your own convenience to take it or not. I suggest you to make arrangement with the hotel directly on your next stay for a tournament, hotel are more flexible when there is no third part included in the transaction. Have a great day

Very nice hotel . Good service. Room was a bit on the smaller side and the washroom was extremely small.Pool was good size and the water temp was nice and warm. The breakfast was better then the typical stuff you get.The in charge was very polite .

Our stay at this hotel was a disappointment: our room did not have any direct daylight (small window overlooking the somber interior court). On Saturday night, sleep was difficult as the hotel had allowed a conference room to be booked for a company party with loud music. Our bathroom was vibrating to the beat. I would have asked for a change of room, had my youngest child not already been in bed by the time the loud music started.

Hockey tournament with familly. The good: -Security is good and reinforced (even with a hockey tournament!!!): great job. - Breakfast is good. -kids enjoyed the pool Not so good: - Beds are not comfortable (personal opinion I guess) Bar was closed (I guess 2nd to renovations): it would have been nice to hang out at the bar. Overall: - good for the price - would be even better after renovations. Hopefully, they will update their bedding too at some point.

THis hotel has been completely renovated including the hallways. WE've stayed 3 or 4 times this summer. It's all good. The free hot and cold breakfast plus the free parking make it an amazing value. It is close to the terrific Carrefour Laval shopping mall and a Walmart. We go to Montreal often to visit family who are in the Plateau and NDG. Eventhough this hotel is near the 440 Expressway it is only about 25 to 30 minutes away by car.

Best Western can be counted on for consistency wherever I stay. This is second Best Western I have stayed at in the last 4 months. The room was clean and nicely laid out. Easy to find along a major highway and close to shopping and restaurants by car.

I have travelled extensively around Canada and the USA and can say that this hotel needs major renovations. Firstly, if they are going to charge their customers on average $168 a night, they should consider upgrading their: washrooms (our room had dirty, seemingly moldy tiles, see pics!!); improve room air flow (could not believe the musty smell in the room during our 3 day stay); and customer service needs some work (as a group of us were travelling for a baseball tournament, we received different messages upon check out (ie. cancellation policy for our group of 35 people). And finally, I find it unreal how some of the parents in our group were given a lower rate per night vs others who paid a higher price for what turned out to be a sub standard hotel. I was not expecting a “Hilton” type of experience as I am used to but seem to have paid way too much for this hotel stay. I would consider another hotel as there are others nearby...

Visited in July with family. The room was good and big enough for a family of 4. The rooms looking inside are a bit dark, ask for a fine looking to front. The parking place is nice and big enough to find always a parking place and it's free. The staff, especially Martin (you'll recognize him easily) is very kind and always smiling. The location is a bit far away from the downtown and located in an industry area. So, no places for dinner at a walking distance, you need to always go by car (for 5-10 min distances). The highway 15 is busy at peak hours, so make sure that you reach there off peak hours.

We were very pleasantly surprised upon our arrival to the hotel and to see all the renovations that have taken place. Wow! Our room had hardwood flooring, new furniture, lamps, artwork and new wall colour. The free wifi was fast. The breakfast area has completely changed. The manager in the Breakfast area was so nice, professional and had a great sense of humour. Also, Edwin at Reception was very helpful and was able to help with any questions I had regarding the hotel. The swimming pool area was also renovated and our daughter had a great time. Great job!

This hotel has a great location in front of an amazing shopping mall. It has the most amazing service ever - Martin the Manager will make sure that all your needs are met. We were there for a celebration of life and he made sure given our grieve and stress that we did not need for anything!

This is my 3rd time visiting this nice hotel in the last 12 months. First, the location is excellent. BW is a great deal, compared to the higher-end high prices of acceptable hotels in Laval. Second, the staff is always friendly at checkin. I was pleasantly surprised with the nice renovations, especially their new printer with the computers... finally. Breakfast is always great, with protein, assorted breads, fruits, yogourts, juices, cereals. The only drawback this time was a hockey tournament for kids going on. The parents were in one room partying, while the kids were left running and yelling through the hallways until 10:30 pm. Manager tried his best to control the situation, but was a difficult task to handle so many roaming excited kids. Still, this BW is always one of my favourites in Laval.

We needed a hotel close by our appointment and they were very close! The personnel are very welcoming and the rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast was included in our room price and it opened during the week at 6h30 we were there a little bit before and we were able to have coffee while waiting for the hot food to be prepared and it was good.

"Terrible Hotel - Please stay away from it"

We booked an executive suite and did not get the exact one when we checked in. The front desk person was very rude and we had to call the manager on duty. The manager told us that he can only switch us to the right room the next day, so we have to stay in what we got that night. Next day switching room conversation was again a nightmare as if we are asking for a favor. Waited in the front for about an hour before the room was made ready/available to us. The room we got matched the one we booked online. One of the air conditioning unit keeps dripping water all the night, had to put the towels to keep the water dripping. There is no close place to eat around this hotel, it is located off the highway. Must have a car. At one instance the manager asked us why are you visiting Montreal as per him we should have gone elsewhere. We booked through expedia. Will not stay again in a Best Western chain again.

We stayed 1 week at this hotel ! It is very nice ??, even better than Sheraton which is 2 km away. To be honest I was not expecting to be that good , all rooms are renovated recently it's like 3.5 star hotel . Free breakfast ?? ?? ?? ?? , free Wifi and free parking. The price is amazing ?? vs Sheraton. I will visit again this hotel and recommend other people to give it try. Don't waist your money for Hilton or Sheraton. The hotel is 2 min away from carful Laval mall. R.T

The registration service was excellent, courteous and effective . The bed was too soft and uncomfortable, The comfortor was too hot, we do not like the comfortors prefer blankets. It was Christmas and the check-out was very ordinary. We receive a call at 12:07pm to get out of the room. As a BW member, I was expecting a little more tolerance for the departure.

I recently stayed at this hotel before and after surgery. The hotel staff made sure I was comfortable and met my surgery needs afterwards by ensuring I had a microwave in the room as I could not leave for a few days. This was not included and the staff were very understanding Great job.

I like the Best Western chain. Good quality for price. Good breakfast, including hot items, yogourt, fruit, danishes, cereal, etc. Room was next to elevator, but it was okay overall. Bed comfortable. Nice stay and will come again.

"Want a quiet room, you are a non smoker who wants easy access to freeway, THIS HOTEL IS NOT FOR YOU."

Booked online 6 day business trip. In the hotel request, specifically asked for a quiet room away from elevator, ice machines, etc. Got a room on basement floor in a corner. 2nd night kept awake by a sports team, 3rd night kept awake by party people. After 2nd complaint, told by staff that the quiet floor is the 3rd floor and got to move there in the middle of the night otherwise I would have never slept. Why would you not put me on 3rd floor to start with, I am there to work for almost a week !!! Smoke pits are immediately and directly on each side of main doors to hotel. 1st day, lady smoking a marijuana cigarette there in the middle of the day. Hotel by freeway but not easy to access. Hotel breakfast was very good and the room was clean. Exercise room equipment outdated. Pool has posted rules which requires a bathing cap. Didn't use same 1st 3 days only to witness all guests using it not wearing cap. Don't advertise rules if you are not gonna enforce them.

Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property. As I read on your survey, you were provided with a room that did not suit your needs. Frankly, I don't know why you have been put in that room which is a last resort for someone who needs a place to sleep desperately because there is just no window in there. We would only assign this room if the hotel was left with this one room and, on check-in time, we would warn the customer about its characteristic. And surely not for someone who is about to stay for more than one night. I am really sorry that this room was offered to you. There is always someone who can help you and answer you if something does seem unsound to you, if not on the very moment then on the next day. The person in charge of the front desk would have changed your room upfront. As for the rooms on the second and third floor, as far as I know, it is not noisier on any of them since most of our customers don't report noise issues regarding those floors. I just don't understand that someone at the front desk told you so. We do have customers who spend weekdays on those floors. Regarding the smoking area, I do not know the whereabouts of this particular individual smoking marijuana. Being noticed in the middle of the day, a supervisor would have probably had cut short to this practice. You are right about the pool. Since it requires assistance from parents only, there does not seem to be anyone wearing a cap. We will get new panels that are more likely to describe how to behave inside the pool area. All those mishaps that you report us are going to be review cautiously. I am just curious that no one have reported what happened to you. It is really unfortunate because we are known to solve problems quite efficiently. Now, this administration is really sorry about the experience that you lived at our hotel and that it will be taken as an example not to be repeated with other customers. "Terrific Staff, very nice hotel"

We decided that on our trip to Montreal this year we would try staying outside the city. We were not disappointed as the staff were very helpful and the room was very nice. Breakfast provided a nice way to start the day as did a quick swim in the pool. The hotel is a short drive to the Montreal Subway System, which is a terrific way to get around using a 3 day unlimited ride pass. We will stay here again.

"Very good hotel overall"

Our visit to this hotel was a pleasant experience, start to finish. As a non-Canadian that doesn't speak French, everyone we spoke with spoke perfect English, and were very helpful. The room was very clean and decently furnished. The grounds were simple and neat. The complimentary breakfast had a good selection. Price was average with other decent hotels in the area. A couple of issues though- the wi-fi, at least in my room, was spotty and would sometimes drop out. Also, my TV channels sometimes would be so grainy with bad reception that it would be unwatchable. Ultimately, though, these are just minor issues and I would be happy to stay here again next time I'm in the area.

"Last stay in Canada"

Quite nice hotel with really smart rooms, friendly staff, but no restaurant, no pool and most of all, as per normal in Canadian hotels no bar, plus they are basically in an industrial estate and if you want to eat you have to drive through Ind. Est. We were recommended a food complex about 2.7 kms away called Centropolis, which had a number of great restaurants, which we tried 3 of them. The main disadvantage of driving for evening meals is that you cannot have more than two drinks. One thing really annoyed me was at 8.00am some workers were removing a drain cover right outside our room and they made a lot of noise, they could have left it until later.

"Comfy clean nice staff"

We stayed for two nights ..breakfast was ok. Wish they had more plant based options...I had potatoes and a bowl of cereal at breakfast with almond milk that I brought..they also had orange slices bananas and cantaloupe...let's try to get with the times here..there are a lot more ppl that are being conscious abt their health. They did offer more than I would've expected though...nice pool didn't get to use it...hotel itself is clean. Highlight of our stay would have to be the staff at breakfast being so helpful in getting what we need. Especially Edwin at the front desk reception....I felt like we were constantly bugging him throughout our stay for coffee cups and toilet paper...printing, even ketchup and hot sauce at one point...He was delightful and IF I do come back to Montreal and this hotel it will be because of the impression he made on me...Keep up the great work Edwin! Thanks for everything!

I have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions while visiting family and friends in the Laval and Montreal area over the years. It is very clean. The decor is kept updated. The bilingual lobby staff are helpful, friendly, and willing to help in any situation. The rooms are comfortable. The bilingual breakfast room staff are very attentive and also helpful. The buffet offers a very good selection of cold and hot breakfast foods to suit all tastes. I am never disappointed with my stay and leave knowing that this is where I will book the next time I return. It's a great home away from home!

"Do not go there!!!!!!"

I booked our reservation on the phone with their reservation booking service. We booked a K/S bed with a pull out couch ,as we were three adults. I received an email to confirm this reservation We arrived from out of town and the room booking was not honoured. We were put in a window less small room with 2 queen beds.We were put at the end of the hall by the laundry. The hall had huge trolleys in it, blocking the way from our room. I did ask at the desk and showed my confirmation and was told by staff, " It's not my fault. " I suggested that they do some customer service training there. She did not offer any solutions. Hated this stay, it was for my moms funeral, this added stress and no way of using the room to unwind or relax. Stay away from this Laval hotel. There is a beautiful one called the St. Martin, near there.

"The Worst BW I ever experienced"

We booked this hotel 5 months ago but when we arrived, they provide us a room with broken closet door, only have towel for 2 people, room with no window, a locked door beside out bed that linked directly to the breakfast area. Weak internet signal, hot maintenance and storage room around our area. When we complained to the front desk, the only excuse is the hotel is full and couldn't move us around.

The suite room we stayed in was terrible. The bathtub and jaccuzzi was not cleaned, urine stains on the toilet. The outlets were far away from the bed. The room was too small for the jaccuzzi so the tv was placed in a very uncomfortable viewing area. There was a door in the room leading out to the dining area but that was blocked off with a wall on the other side. Children were playing soccer near the swimming pool and kicking it up on my door. I had to complain twice and it was only when I walked out to the receptionist that she actually went to talk to the parents. There was also NO shower curtain in the room. We had to ask the housekeeper in the hall for one. There is also no printer for the computer which is a huge concern when things have to be printed such as itinerary, maps, etc. There was also a lamp that was wobbly when touched.

Stayed in a newly renovated room with my husband and my children was very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort. The kids were delighted to be able to use the swimming pool. It's not too deep and ideal for them. The breakfast too had plenty of choice and the staff were all lovely. Easy to get to Montreal city centre too if needed. Will definitely be back.

This is a very good hotel.The rooms were well appointed and clean. The jacuzzi was huge. The staff were helpful. The down side was the pool was closed until our last night and the bar was never open. Good value for the money none the less.

There was the noise that on going every 5 to 10 minutes which made us hard to sleep. Not enough towels in the room, called housekeeping and no one answered so I went to front desk, they said they will deliver to our room but did not do so, very disappointed

Great hotel and surprisingly low price. The rooms and beds are comfortable and look beautiful. My family loved the pool and the overall performance of the place. The staff is warm and friendly. We really enjoyed out experience here.

The hotel is clean, and well situated for Laval activities. Breakfast is excellent and staff are very responsive. It is a good place for families to stay but stay away from the rooms in the back as sleep is impossible.

This hotel was in a convenient location. It was 10 minutes to the Metro which we took into the city of Montreal. This helped us avoid driving into the city with its heavy traffic. The rooms were clean and large. There was a good selection for breakfast. Our only complaint was that there was no railing at the pool steps.

I have stayed here a few times. The hotel has been clean, staff has been 'OK', not overly friendly. If you can get a 'great deal' here, then you should be OK, but I would stay somewhere else if the price is the same. Not on my list of 'I want to stay here again'.

This place is old, not well maintained, dirty and smells very bad. For the price we pain for 2 nights, this was overpriced and falls below expectations. The bathroom Tiles had groups. The pull out sofa bed was very old and smelly. The rugs old and oozing bad smell. Please do not believe the pictures on the site. This is the worst hotel I have said in my entire life. There is no microwave in rooms, small fridge that hardly works, the cleaning was not well done. My vacation with my family was a disaster as I could not even get any restful sleep. This place is a big rip off.

"No more à Best Western plus"

They need to invest in renovation and to update the hotel to 2017 standards. Also, when I booked, they were a BW plus but when we arrived, they had just changed to the regular chain. The bar that they promoted on their web site was long closed. We had no choice to book that Hotel as all other large hotels were booked. But try to find an other option.

I visited during the peak grand prix 2017 season. I wasn't happy with the room I got, but the staff were really helpful in moving me to a room of my choice. Rooms are well maintained, well-lit. Hotel has ample parking facilities. While there aren't a lot of choice for hotels, I won't complain since there are a bunch of them within few miles. The hotel served hot breakfast with decent options, plus a decent variety of cereals, juices and a good coffee. (and yes, Tea was available too)

Let me start by the clerk at the front desk was rude, seems like we were bothering her for checking in. The room was smelly! Very dated (not to say old) . The "gym" was literally a closet! One 20 yr old treadmill that made so much noise it was unusable,a bike, and an all in one machine from a large store.... The pool was moldy, and the water was so cloudy you could not see the bottom of the pool! The food buffet was limited for breakfast. All in all pass on this hotel!

The hotel is ok. Staff was very kind, the hotel looks good. Lots of parking spot. The breakfast was more than I expected. It was homemade, fresh and very good. Coffee was good and lots to choose from. I am very happy with my overall experience at Best western Laval.

Despair, shock, and exhaustion that is how we felt when we arrived at the hotel. We fell asleep easily and woke up refreshed ready to go back and face the reality of our damaged house. We got breakfast included and it was perfect and we ate well. The staff was so nice and welcoming. Our stay was perfect.

If you want to feel special do not stay here. No restaurant, no bar, no rewards. If you are a member of the BW rewards program it does not seem to matter. There is no restaurant or bar within walking distance. The staff seemed inconvenienced by my arrival and departure and really that is there only job. Find another hotel when you visit Laval, Quebec.

Positives: staff is friendly and efficient; rooms are clean; wifi is easy to connect to; the mirrors in the gym are very big. Negatives: large room with 2 queen beds (reserved a king) but too much furniture for the space. Closet door doesn't close easily. Fitness centre is in need of some maintenance love. The weight machine is missing parts and there are no free weights, just a bench. The treadmill tread slips (very unsafe) and is very noisy. The elliptical is also very loud. The pool appears to be used for local children's swimming lessons. Breakfast is free, but definitely of the "you get what you paid for" variety. Unlikely to stay again unless I'm looking for a cheap place to sleep for a single night in the middle of a roadtrip.

I couldn't believe in my eyes. I booked a two queen bedroom and when I got there my room was an inside room with a wonderful sight, the breakfast room. I initially thought was a joke but unfortunately was not. I asked to have a classical view but the reception informed me that nothing was available then I asked to void the transaction but they told me it was not possible because was an internet booking. That was a nightmare, if you are claustrophobic stay away from this place. Which hotel can sell this kind of rooms? Maybe they should have a wonderful garden inside or maybe not.

Convenient to the highway. Room looked onto the atrium so no road noise. Noise from adjoining room louder than normal however. Room was good otherwise. Breakfast buffet was also good. It was very irritating that their bar was never open.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Fairly priced and clean hotel, also includes breakfast. 20 min drive to downtown Montreal and right next to the highway, therefore making it easy to hop on and off the highway.

The location of this hotel was convenient to the train station to Montreal. Despite the language difference, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was sufficient.

We arrived early (1:45) to inquire if we could check in. We were told it would be about 20 minutes so instead of going on to do sightseeing we decided to wait. The clerk and another employee stood at the counter and talked. After half an hour we again inquired and we were told perhaps 10 or 15 minutes. Again we waited. By this time others were arriving to check in but were also told it would be shortly. Well to make a long story short they delayed us until 3:00PM. Rather than check us in in the order of arrival, the clerk took a young couple first who she appeared to know. Eventually we did receive our room which was on the "1st floor" which turned out to be rather small and in the basement with only a small window overlooking the breakfast room.

Bad,terrible. The worst hotel I saw . No air in the room, suffocating . Not enough light either. Smells bad. You cannot open the small window . Sign of humidity on the ceiling. Out of the reception the hotel looks old and not maintained. We are on the first floor . Maybe others are better , I don't know. For us it was a very bad experience. Don't come here , go somewhere else.

This is the second time we've stayed here. Our first was "okay" nothing out ordinary but this time the initial welcome was outright frustrating. We arrived to this hotel at night after driving all day on the 16th of December, obviously we were tired. The room given to us had a bad lock. We tried and tried it wouldn't open we went back and forth so finally the front desk guy came to try it himself with an attitude on his face. He could not do it himself either for his own defense he told us " this is the third time we're issuing keys for this room today". Finally, he told us "wait in the same room (which he opened with a master key) until I change the room for you." One thing I did not like at all was that he told us (not in an asking tone) "Don't touch anything in this room until I give you another room" Also, he didn't apologize even once for the inconvenience this had caused us. Why would you give us the room if you already knew that was problematic to begin with? We travel to this part of Canada often so we might consider their competition from now on.

Advertises restaurant and bar.Has neither except for catered events. Gave us a card for the breakfast they serve advertising it was on till 10 AM. Went down at 0937 and it was all closed down. When I am on holidays I dont need a breakfast bad enough to be there by 0930. Way too early to close breakfast. Checked the next day. By 0930 they had everything put away. I think they close down so staff can have what is left.Asked if I could get a coffee and was told very rudely that it was closed. no attempt at English. I asked to speak to the manager at the front desk and was told he was in a conference call and would call me. Surprise he never did. Rooms were OK. Cleaning staff very good. Front staff friendly and bilingual.Not impressed with hotel.Checked out a day early

The room was to what is expected from this chain. Good class satisfying room hotel. Was not impressed with the brakfast area beeing to small for the guests waiting in line. People (family guests) were loud and impolite, non caring of other guests, children running all over the place

The exterior of the hotel looks lovely. Other things are the breakfast area, and the lobby. As for the guest room, I'd rate it a bit lower. It is clean and organized, with all the things I'd need - shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, soap, towels. I also love the private jacuzzi. The only thing that stopped me from giving 10/10 is that the room looks a bit old - i could see the edges of the ceiling paint coming off, the bathtub has a bit of discoloration, etc, etc.

The hotel was in a terrible place, nothing within walking distance. The halls smelled like smoking staff . There were ants in our Room. My television remote did not work, It took 2 days to get it fixed .

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. We were given a suite on the top floor which was huge but still disappointing. It was badly in need of an update and nothing in the room matched. The bathroom was like it was an island in the middle of the room. Odd......the sitting are was large with 4 chairs and a sofa (and, behind two doors, a whiteboard would you believe!!) but no television. There was one in the sleeping area. A very dowdy room overall but good of the Hotel to put us there when we had only booked a Queen room. The free breakfast was what you would expect of something given free. Not great but acceptable. There is also a pool but nowhere to change. Advice from Reception is to change in your room and, presumably, return there dripping wet. We refused to use. But the worst feature of the Hotel was its location. It is like it is on an island and so, so difficult to get to. At night and in the dark streets it was a nightmare. Never again. And the staff? Certainly polite but no one, at any time, asked us how our stay was or how our room was or how we were? We think that says it all. Such a shame. Am sure, Best Western you can do better.

Booked for 115$ Govt rate. Check in was OK, but got an upgrade to a full 1 bedroom suite on the top follow. It was big, with a king bed, 2 tvs , sofa , 4 chairs (like a meeting area), big desk and work area, fridge and microwave...the furniture was not modern and frankly was more 1990s style. There is a gym on premise, decent equipment, a decent sized indoor pool which I don't think was heated, decent breakfast with sausage an beans, plenty of parking. Overall, a decent place, but eventually needs to be renovated.

The rooms were fine, the pool was so-so but serviceable but the locale is pretty convenient if you're doing business north of Montreal. The construction in the summer of 2016 made driving in this area tough, but the directions on the hotel's site are pretty accurate. Kitty-corner to the hotel is the region's largest mall: Carrefour Laval, which is really worth a visit if you need to purchase anything. All the Canadian chains and many American ones are there.

Shower was stained and dirty. Internet did not work in our room and when notified was dismissed and not helped at all. It was almost like we were bothering them at the desk with our concern. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of food.

We chose this hotel because it was very close to the people we were visiting. We checked in quite late (just before midnight) - we got the last parking space. A young man came out of the office to greet us as soon as we walked in. Our check-in was very quick, possibly because we booked on line. We got our room keys and headed up to room #401. We were pleasantly surprised to see we had been upgraded to a suite - WOW!! We were exhausted after a long visit with family and an even longer drive from Boston, so we fell asleep immediately. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. We woke up early the next morning, because we wanted to get an early start. The bathroom was large and clean and the shower was great (nice hot water and great water pressure). Breakfast was included in our stay and, I have to say, we really enjoyed it - scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, fruit, bread, and coffee (there were numerous options to choose from). The breakfast staff were very pleasant and very quick to replenish trays and clean the tables. The front desk staff was great, as well. We have family in Montreal, so we will be back for visits and will most definitely stay at this hotel again. Great value for the money and great location.

The staff was not really friendly, and they gave us a new room with only one bed when we reserved 2 beds. Our room was on the 4th floor and the window was facing towards the roof which was covered in wires. Half of the lights in the room were not working which left the room to be quite dark. The hotel was old and needs a full upgrade. Breakfast was okay, but not great. When we went to check out they said that they would not give us a receipt because we booked off of a website instead of directly with them. Overall, the price was way too expensive for what we got.

We had been to this hotel before. It was adequate and fairly priced, also we know the Best Western brand is usually good. However there were many small irritations and two major issues. More serious: My husband is waiting surgery on his leg and is considered legally "handicaped". There was no handrail going into the pool and so he decided to use the small ladder/stairs into the deep end. When he got to the last step it broke and came off. Quite dangerous. To make things worse, the phone from the pool to the front desk wasn't working. Second, I have sensitivities or allergies to many chemicals. We aired the room out when we got there and my husband asked the staff not to use cleaners when they cleaned the room. They still used some sort of chemical spray (or cleaner?). Had to again prop the door open and air the room. Small irritations:our room key twice not functioning when we returned from sight seeing in Montreal and having to go to the front desk to correct it. A very unhelpful front desk clerk "sorry I don't know how that air conditioning remote works", " yes you do have less air conditioning in your room than your daughters room, that's the way it is". " We'll get some towels down to the pool for your grandchildren" (me at the front desk in a dripping wet swimsuit).

Internet was slow and did not even connect in our room. We had to sit in the lobby to use wifi. We asked the front desk employee for shampoo and they gave lotion instead and said that is all they had. One of our rooms sinks had a crack. However the breakfast was good.

My husband and I were travelling from Barrie, ON to PEI for a vacation to visit our grandchildren. We stayed one night at the Best Western Laval-Montreal. It was a nice hotel, clean room, very comfortable bed, good location. Breakfast was good. The map on the hotel site is very good with the GPS coordinates and the building next door in locating the hotel. Would definitely recommend and stay again if ever going through Montreal. Pool looked nice but did not use it. Unfortunately the hotel was having a problem with their internet and it was down while we were there. Nice staff and very friendly.

We initially stayed here 16 years ago, when we had our wedding reception here. We haven't been here since, until last night. While the hotel holds lots of nostalgia for us, I was disappointed to see that it is in bad need of lots of upgrades. While the hotel is very clean and tidy, and the beds comfortable, the bathroom in our room was in need of work. The tub was an outdated off-white, with tacky non-slip strips applied to the bottom. It looked like strips had been applied over even older older strips. The tiles showed signs of old mildew that just forms after many years, despite being clean. Also, first time in a hotel our kids w Aren't interested in going swimming. The pool room was dark and creepy, even with lights on. The chlorine levels were so high that our eyes burned just being in the pool room. We have always loved this place, but it definitely needs some upgrading.

This was a nice motel,but hard to find if you use the address given! My gps had me far away from the actual location, I finally asked a local cop, turns out I was pretty close. The desk clerk gave me the address that will work with a GPS and it is : 2300 Monterey Street, Laval, QC I used it when I went out for some food and it worked good! The room itself was just a bit narrow, the space between the end of the bed and the desk is pretty tight. It has a nice sized desk and comfortable chair, also a separate table with two chairs. The room I had, overlooked the dining area and had a small balcony you could sit on. Breakfast was the best I have had on this trip, there was scrambled eggs, fried potato cubes, link sausage, pancakes, make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, along with the usual breads, cold cereal, oatmeal mix and assorted juices and coffee & tea. The pool is indoors, adjacent to the dining area. The internet connected easily, but was on the slow side. The TV had a mix of english and french language channels, what would you expect in Quebec?

We asked for a quiet room and that's exactly what we got. We slept very well. The front desk staff was caring and very smiling. Access to the hotel is very easy from highway 15 north but when we left the morning after, we had a hard time finding our way back to highway 15.

The hotel is easy to get to. We used the hotel because it was close to our sons place. It was quiet we left at 5:30am so we wanted a good night sleep which we got and we were in a room facing the highway very quiet. Only downside breakfast didn't start till 6:30 am Would stay there again.

The Internet was down. Getting help from the front desk took a very long time. They said the problem would only be a couple of hours. It took 1 day. Then it required a call back to find out the log in procedure had changed. Each call took 20-45 minutes to get someone to talk to. plus sides: Room was a little warn but clean, the bed was comfortable the jetted tub was huge.Breakfast was good. I travel for business, I expect a clean comfortable room, high speed internet and curious and helpful staff.

This is a very clean hotel. The room is large and, the bed comfortable. It has a bar fridge and a sitting area with a table & two chairs. The free buffet breakfast was excellent! Scrambled eggs, sausages, home fries & beans along with a variety of fruit, breads,yogurt, juices, coffee,etc. Very friendly staff. Over all a great experience. The only negative was no window in our room. It gave the impression in the morning that it was still night outside. Also, I was concerned re safety if there was a fire in the hallway we had no escape since the window was a false one. Otherwise, I was very satisfied.

We booked a suite which ended up being a two level room with an enormous jacuzzi tub upstairs. It was amazing and I recommend this hotel for that reason plus the breakfast is decent too (with the exception of those weird buffet eggs-just why?)

This hotel is just outside of Montreal but if you are looking for a place to relax after touring around the big city this hotel is a nice spot. Our grandkids made use of the indoor pool which was very clean and a perfect temperature for kids. Our daughter's room was 2 floors and very spacious, while our room was a good size with a very large whirlpool tub. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices for everyone. I would recommend this hotel for extended stays.

On the negative side. We had two rooms. On the second day, one room was not made up.We were out from 8:30AM. When we returned at 5, we called the front desk. The manager came by to look , and apologized. However, the room was not even refreshed after that, On the positive side was everything else,Netherlands pool, the wonderful full breakfast buffet which was included, the freshness of the rooms with the exception raised here, the lobby comfort etc

Good location on the north/west side of Montreal, with easy access to Hwy 15. Chose this hotel because of the proximity to Highways 15 and 640 on my way to the East Coast. Ideal way to avoid Montreal traffic if one is arriving from a westerly direction, say Ottawa.

I stayed in 211, the VERY first room beside the lobby. The evening and morning was very noisy. Was woken up around 7 am (alarm was set for 8:30). The staff was fine. The breakfast was okay, was very greasy. My room had rows of florescent lights all on the ceiling but none of them worked. The room was dark. Looked clean, bathroom was fine. I stayed here because it was close to my appointment the next day, but otherwise would never stay here again.

We booked the Best Western Plus in Laval for three nights through the "Air Miles" program. having read some reviews, we were not sure what to expect. However, once there this place exceeded any expectation that we had. The rooms are clean, and staff very friendly. We booked a King room which as the name suggest is huge with a king size bed and pull out couch. The second and third night be upgraded to the King Suite with Jacuzzi. I was expected a corner Jacuzzi tub, but we were surprised that this tub was a huge Jacuzzi tub that would normally be seen outside. The tub is designed for to people to lie down facing one another. Great way to unwind in the evening. The motel also has a pool. Bonus for staying at this motel is that breakfast is included. No need to go out for morning coffee or breakfast. Several selections from eggs, sausage, cereals, waffles, muffins, breads, and fruits. So while the motel may be slightly dated, it is clean and meets anyone's needs.

This is a fantastic hotel! Really clean, customer service really nice! Big room, lot of services (cable tv, wifi, internal swimming pool..) The only problem, if you don't have a car is disconnected from everything... 5 min by taxi to centropolis and carrefour laval where you have everything but if you don't have a car is difficult to reach it. But if you have it no problem! ;)

This hotel is so tired. I stay in hotels 125+ nights a year. This hotel should not be PLUS status. It might be great for hockey teams and such but not for business traveler. Beds are rock hard, internet doesn't work half the time and the bathrooms are antique.

Stayed here while in Montreal watching our grand-daughter in a soccer tournament. The hotel had a few teams there but the kids were all great and the hotel was perfect for this kind of activity. Breakfast was great. The kids loved the pool. The exercise room could be bigger and benefit from more/better equipment but that is a minor detail. Overall, we found it very nice and I would recommend it.

Very nice room. Greeted quickly and very friendly staff behind the counter. Couple issues with my room. The desk chair is totally falling apart. My floor is messed up. Other than that.............. it's clean, roomy and I'm only here for one night and gone as soon as I can. Not a great location. I have stayed other places in Laval and downtown. I say spend the extra $100 and get down near the arena, bars etc.

Stayed before, had wonderful experience a year aago. This time exact opposite. Poor manners on desk staff. Charged my card an additional $150. without informing me. I later learned from manager, it was a "smoking deposit". He refunded it. No mention of it in reservations or by the check in person! Water in tub, hair on blow dryer, out of tissues and not replaced. Very poor service...front desk doesn't care about you!

Rooms are very nice except the old style water pipe in the washroom. need to be upgrade. Breakfast was very good. All items are fresh. Good coffee. Very Quite place to stay. Some rooms has the Balcony I didn't get that. Receptionists are not that very polite. Need training for them and as well as they should think that Customers are number one priority. Parking is very cool. all included. Closed to Hwy. Now busy all the times. Keep up the good job....

Worst hotel in Laval The whole place smells like the indoor pool Noisy, sound coming from everywhere, breakfast area and including the cleaners yelling at each other down the corridors. Agreed on rate at check in at check out it was $10 / night higher. Told them the agreed rate from check in and they said that is the rack rate and nothing can be done about it.

Hotel was good for location to the highway. The room was mediocre at best, especially for the price. our room was at the end of the hall facing the inside of the hotel which made it feel a bit claustrophobic as the only window looked out to the back of an interior wall. But the negative for us was the smell in the room. It was as though someone had spilt a bottle of cologne before they checked out. It was very strong, enough to give us headaches. But apparently it is the smell from something they use to clean the rooms because we could smell it outside any of the rooms housekeeping was in. We actually kept our door open when ever we were in the room to air it out and did not have housekeeping come back while we were there. The front desk staff was not terribly friendly and did not acknowledge us anytime we came in to the hotel. The breakfast was pretty good though and it was clean, if a bit odorous. So if you don't mind strong smells its probably fine. But we won't be back.

Convenient to auto routes and shopping. Very nice decor, our room had a balcony to an interior atrium. Good breakfast selection. Will be back. Although on the service road for a busy auto-route, the hotel is quiet . Great shopping nearby at Carrefour Laval. Close to Hwy 15 and 440 interchange.

We stayed for 2 nights and found it very good value for money at $106 a night (before tax). The room was one of the largest I have stayed in for it's category which was enjoyable. The bathroom was incredibly small, which is a shame they didn't use some of the space from the rest of the large room. Nonetheless it wasn't a big deal for us. Breakfast was included which was great; it was basic but still nice. It took about 25-30 mins to drive to the city and about 10 minutes the other way to the factory outlets. The staff were friendly so I only really have good things to say about our experience here. Would certainly stay again.

This had to be the nicest hotel in this price range we have ever stayed at. There may be nicer ones ( I don't know what could have been nicer) but you will be paying hundreds of dollars more. Lots of room in the room and bathroom to move around in. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Pool area was clean.

Was quite pleased with an overnight stay for business at this hotel. The room was very clean, bedding and linens were very comfortable. The bathroom has a separate thermostat which is quite rare and quite pleasant. The included breakfast was great, there was choices for every tastes. I highly recommend and will gladly stay again next time I'm in Laval.

"Worst rudest service ever"

I called about a week ahead to book a room and informed the clerk that I'm a university teacher benefiting from the government employee pricing. At the time of the reservation, there was no problem and the clerk gave me the right price. When I arrived at the hotel, the clerk asked me for a proof of employment but unfortunately, I forgot my employee card at home. I offered to show her other proofs of my employment at the university but she refused. She then went to get the manager. The so-called manager then proceeded to explain to me in his patronizing voice that university teachers are not government employees and that he never gave such pricing to any teacher. Even when I offered to show him the university's policy on travel expenses online, he refused to listen to me and kept rudely dismissing me. Even when I told him that I'm regularly benefiting from this pricing in a different Best Western regularly, he stayed on his position and refused to listen to me. He didn't offer me a room at the regular price. He didn't try to keep me as a customer. I left the hotel at 6PM and had to find a room at the last minute. All this manager wanted was to put me down. Well, he won. He lost a customer and so did the Best Western chain. There are enough hotels in this city for me to find a room where the staff is pleasant and welcoming. I will never use Best Western again.

Booked here based upon Trip Advisor reviews. Pro: Included Breakfast, easy access to Montreal via car, reasonable price, free parking and Wi-Fi Cons: Wi-Fi did not work for us on our phones in this hotel, staff/hotel did not have much information about Montreal and things to do; No towels in pool area; pool area and steps into pool very slippery and no hand rail into pool; bar and restaurant area were closed during our stay; pillow choice in room all firm, no soft pillows; towels in rooms were old- frayed edges
