"Kind staff, far from downtown "

Visited in July with family. The room was good and big enough for a family of 4. The rooms looking inside are a bit dark, ask for a fine looking to front. The parking place is nice and big enough to find always a parking place and it's free. The staff, especially Martin (you'll recognize him easily) is very kind and always smiling. The location is a bit far away from the downtown and located in an industry area. So, no places for dinner at a walking distance, you need to always go by car (for 5-10 min distances). The highway 15 is busy at peak hours, so make sure that you reach there off peak hours.

"Clean and comfy"

Good hotel location, right off a highway.Nice modern rooms, comfy beds. Good complimentary breakfast and breakfast aria. Would make it grate hotel for the price if not loud in -wall air conditioner didn't let me sleep almost all night .

Courteous and informative staffing, child-friendly clean better than expected hotel. Breakfast cut off time could be extended until at least 10Am. Rooms are very clean. Ice machine and microwave for general use. Rooms equipt with Iron and board.

We were very pleasantly surprised upon our arrival to the hotel and to see all the renovations that have taken place. Wow! Our room had hardwood flooring, new furniture, lamps, artwork and new wall colour. The free wifi was fast. The breakfast area has completely changed. The manager in the Breakfast area was so nice, professional and had a great sense of humour. Also, Edwin at Reception was very helpful and was able to help with any questions I had regarding the hotel. The swimming pool area was also renovated and our daughter had a great time. Great job!

This hotel has a great location in front of an amazing shopping mall. It has the most amazing service ever - Martin the Manager will make sure that all your needs are met. We were there for a celebration of life and he made sure given our grieve and stress that we did not need for anything!

"nice renovations"

This is my 3rd time visiting this nice hotel in the last 12 months. First, the location is excellent. BW is a great deal, compared to the higher-end high prices of acceptable hotels in Laval. Second, the staff is always friendly at checkin. I was pleasantly surprised with the nice renovations, especially their new printer with the computers... finally. Breakfast is always great, with protein, assorted breads, fruits, yogourts, juices, cereals. The only drawback this time was a hockey tournament for kids going on. The parents were in one room partying, while the kids were left running and yelling through the hallways until 10:30 pm. Manager tried his best to control the situation, but was a difficult task to handle so many roaming excited kids. Still, this BW is always one of my favourites in Laval.

We needed a hotel close by our appointment and they were very close! The personnel are very welcoming and the rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast was included in our room price and it opened during the week at 6h30 we were there a little bit before and we were able to have coffee while waiting for the hot food to be prepared and it was good.

"Terrible Hotel - Please stay away from it"

We booked an executive suite and did not get the exact one when we checked in. The front desk person was very rude and we had to call the manager on duty. The manager told us that he can only switch us to the right room the next day, so we have to stay in what we got that night. Next day switching room conversation was again a nightmare as if we are asking for a favor. Waited in the front for about an hour before the room was made ready/available to us. The room we got matched the one we booked online. One of the air conditioning unit keeps dripping water all the night, had to put the towels to keep the water dripping. There is no close place to eat around this hotel, it is located off the highway. Must have a car. At one instance the manager asked us why are you visiting Montreal as per him we should have gone elsewhere. We booked through expedia. Will not stay again in a Best Western chain again.

We stayed 1 week at this hotel ! It is very nice ??, even better than Sheraton which is 2 km away. To be honest I was not expecting to be that good , all rooms are renovated recently it's like 3.5 star hotel . Free breakfast ?? ?? ?? ?? , free Wifi and free parking. The price is amazing ?? vs Sheraton. I will visit again this hotel and recommend other people to give it try. Don't waist your money for Hilton or Sheraton. The hotel is 2 min away from carful Laval mall. R.T

"An average 3 stars hotel."

The registration service was excellent, courteous and effective . The bed was too soft and uncomfortable, The comfortor was too hot, we do not like the comfortors prefer blankets. It was Christmas and the check-out was very ordinary. We receive a call at 12:07pm to get out of the room. As a BW member, I was expecting a little more tolerance for the departure.

I recently stayed at this hotel before and after surgery. The hotel staff made sure I was comfortable and met my surgery needs afterwards by ensuring I had a microwave in the room as I could not leave for a few days. This was not included and the staff were very understanding Great job.

I paid $143.00 this stay- 2months ago I paid $99. Why the increase-am I paying for the renovations?-price should be less that what I paid for the disruption and mess and noise. A hotel staff said I was paying for the work being done.

I like the Best Western chain. Good quality for price. Good breakfast, including hot items, yogourt, fruit, danishes, cereal, etc. Room was next to elevator, but it was okay overall. Bed comfortable. Nice stay and will come again.

"Want a quiet room, you are a non smoker who wants easy access to freeway, THIS HOTEL IS NOT FOR YOU."

Booked online 6 day business trip. In the hotel request, specifically asked for a quiet room away from elevator, ice machines, etc. Got a room on basement floor in a corner. 2nd night kept awake by a sports team, 3rd night kept awake by party people. After 2nd complaint, told by staff that the quiet floor is the 3rd floor and got to move there in the middle of the night otherwise I would have never slept. Why would you not put me on 3rd floor to start with, I am there to work for almost a week !!! Smoke pits are immediately and directly on each side of main doors to hotel. 1st day, lady smoking a marijuana cigarette there in the middle of the day. Hotel by freeway but not easy to access. Hotel breakfast was very good and the room was clean. Exercise room equipment outdated. Pool has posted rules which requires a bathing cap. Didn't use same 1st 3 days only to witness all guests using it not wearing cap. Don't advertise rules if you are not gonna enforce them.

Frankly, I don't know why you have been put in that room which is a last resort for someone who needs a place to sleep desperately because there is just no window in there. We would only assign this room if the hotel was left with this one room and, on check-in time, we would warn the customer about its characteristic. And surely not for someone who is about to stay for more than one night. I am really sorry that this room was offered to you. There is always someone who can help you and answer you if something does seem unsound to you, if not on the very moment then on the next day. The person in charge of the front desk would have changed your room upfront. As for the rooms on the second and third floor, as far as I know, it is not noisier on any of them since most of our customers don't report noise issues regarding those floors. I just don't understand that someone at the front desk told you so. We do have customers who spend weekdays on those floors. Regarding the smoking area, I do not know the whereabouts of this particular individual smoking marijuana. Being noticed in the middle of the day, a supervisor would have probably had cut short to this practice. You are right about the pool. Since it requires assistance from parents only, there does not seem to be anyone wearing a cap. We will get new panels that are more likely to describe how to behave inside the pool area. All those mishaps that you report us are going to be review cautiously. I am just curious that no one have reported what happened to you. It is really unfortunate because we are known to solve problems quite efficiently. Now, this administration is really sorry about the experience that you lived at our hotel and that it will be taken as an example not to be repeated with other customers. The employees involved in it are going to be interview about this whole thing. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. "Terrific Staff, very nice hotel"

We decided that on our trip to Montreal this year we would try staying outside the city. We were not disappointed as the staff were very helpful and the room was very nice. Breakfast provided a nice way to start the day as did a quick swim in the pool. The hotel is a short drive to the Montreal Subway System, which is a terrific way to get around using a 3 day unlimited ride pass. We will stay here again.

"Very good hotel overall"

Our visit to this hotel was a pleasant experience, start to finish. As a non-Canadian that doesn't speak French, everyone we spoke with spoke perfect English, and were very helpful. The room was very clean and decently furnished. The grounds were simple and neat. The complimentary breakfast had a good selection. Price was average with other decent hotels in the area. A couple of issues though- the wi-fi, at least in my room, was spotty and would sometimes drop out. Also, my TV channels sometimes would be so grainy with bad reception that it would be unwatchable. Ultimately, though, these are just minor issues and I would be happy to stay here again next time I'm in the area.

"Last stay in Canada"

Quite nice hotel with really smart rooms, friendly staff, but no restaurant, no pool and most of all, as per normal in Canadian hotels no bar, plus they are basically in an industrial estate and if you want to eat you have to drive through Ind. Est. We were recommended a food complex about 2.7 kms away called Centropolis, which had a number of great restaurants, which we tried 3 of them. The main disadvantage of driving for evening meals is that you cannot have more than two drinks. One thing really annoyed me was at 8.00am some workers were removing a drain cover right outside our room and they made a lot of noise, they could have left it until later.

"Comfy clean nice staff"

We stayed for two nights ..breakfast was ok. Wish they had more plant based options...I had potatoes and a bowl of cereal at breakfast with almond milk that I brought..they also had orange slices bananas and cantaloupe...let's try to get with the times here..there are a lot more ppl that are being conscious abt their health. They did offer more than I would've expected though...nice pool didn't get to use it...hotel itself is clean. Highlight of our stay would have to be the staff at breakfast being so helpful in getting what we need. Especially Edwin at the front desk reception....I felt like we were constantly bugging him throughout our stay for coffee cups and toilet paper...printing, even ketchup and hot sauce at one point...He was delightful and IF I do come back to Montreal and this hotel it will be because of the impression he made on me...Keep up the great work Edwin! "Small & Elegant Hotel"

I have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions while visiting family and friends in the Laval and Montreal area over the years. It is very clean. The decor is kept updated. The bilingual lobby staff are helpful, friendly, and willing to help in any situation. The rooms are comfortable. The bilingual breakfast room staff are very attentive and also helpful. The buffet offers a very good selection of cold and hot breakfast foods to suit all tastes. I am never disappointed with my stay and leave knowing that this is where I will book the next time I return. It's a great home away from home!

"Do not go there!!!!!!"

I booked our reservation on the phone with their reservation booking service. We booked a K/S bed with a pull out couch ,as we were three adults. I received an email to confirm this reservation We arrived from out of town and the room booking was not honoured. We were put in a window less small room with 2 queen beds.We were put at the end of the hall by the laundry. The hall had huge trolleys in it, blocking the way from our room. I did ask at the desk and showed my confirmation and was told by staff, " It's not my fault. " I suggested that they do some customer service training there. She did not offer any solutions. Hated this stay, it was for my moms funeral, this added stress and no way of using the room to unwind or relax. Stay away from this Laval hotel. There is a beautiful one called the St. Martin, near there.

"The Worst BW I ever experienced"

We booked this hotel 5 months ago but when we arrived, they provide us a room with broken closet door, only have towel for 2 people, room with no window, a locked door beside out bed that linked directly to the breakfast area. Weak internet signal, hot maintenance and storage room around our area. When we complained to the front desk, the only excuse is the hotel is full and couldn't move us around.

This hotel was clean, provided easy access on and off the highway and the staff was wonderful. The room was clean and beds very comfortable. The wifi functioned perfectly for my needs. Also enjoyed the free breakfast.

"very disatisfied"

The suite room we stayed in was terrible. The bathtub and jaccuzzi was not cleaned, urine stains on the toilet. The outlets were far away from the bed. The room was too small for the jaccuzzi so the tv was placed in a very uncomfortable viewing area. There was a door in the room leading out to the dining area but that was blocked off with a wall on the other side. Children were playing soccer near the swimming pool and kicking it up on my door. I had to complain twice and it was only when I walked out to the receptionist that she actually went to talk to the parents. There was also NO shower curtain in the room. We had to ask the housekeeper in the hall for one. There is also no printer for the computer which is a huge concern when things have to be printed such as itinerary, maps, etc. There was also a lamp that was wobbly when touched.

"Very impressed"

Stayed in a newly renovated room with my husband and my children was very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort. The kids were delighted to be able to use the swimming pool. It's not too deep and ideal for them. The breakfast too had plenty of choice and the staff were all lovely. Easy to get to Montreal city centre too if needed. Will definitely be back.

"Good rooms. Amenities lacking."

This is a very good hotel.The rooms were well appointed and clean. The jacuzzi was huge. The staff were helpful. The down side was the pool was closed until our last night and the bar was never open. Good value for the money none the less.

There was the noise that on going every 5 to 10 minutes which made us hard to sleep. Not enough towels in the room, called housekeeping and no one answered so I went to front desk, they said they will deliver to our room but did not do so, very disappointed

Great hotel and surprisingly low price. The rooms and beds are comfortable and look beautiful. My family loved the pool and the overall performance of the place. The staff is warm and friendly. We really enjoyed out experience here.

The hotel is clean, and well situated for Laval activities. Breakfast is excellent and staff are very responsive. It is a good place for families to stay but stay away from the rooms in the back as sleep is impossible.

This hotel was in a convenient location. It was 10 minutes to the Metro which we took into the city of Montreal. This helped us avoid driving into the city with its heavy traffic. The rooms were clean and large. There was a good selection for breakfast. Our only complaint was that there was no railing at the pool steps.

I have stay with Bester in Alberta and what a difference to compare . I think pride in every job is important and everyone plays a part of the hotel service appearance . I do not recommend this location

"'Average' is pushing it"

I have stayed here a few times. The hotel has been clean, staff has been 'OK', not overly friendly. If you can get a 'great deal' here, then you should be OK, but I would stay somewhere else if the price is the same. Not on my list of 'I want to stay here again'.

Friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast hot self-service not bad. Close to Hwy. Priced well for what you get.This is our third time in this hotel in the past 2 years. We like it. Better than other hotels we have stayed at in the area.

This place is old, not well maintained, dirty and smells very bad. For the price we pain for 2 nights, this was overpriced and falls below expectations. The bathroom Tiles had groups. The pull out sofa bed was very old and smelly. The rugs old and oozing bad smell. Please do not believe the pictures on the site. This is the worst hotel I have said in my entire life. There is no microwave in rooms, small fridge that hardly works, the cleaning was not well done. My vacation with my family was a disaster as I could not even get any restful sleep. This place is a big rip off.

"No more à Best Western plus"

They need to invest in renovation and to update the hotel to 2017 standards. Also, when I booked, they were a BW plus but when we arrived, they had just changed to the regular chain. The bar that they promoted on their web site was long closed. We had no choice to book that Hotel as all other large hotels were booked. But try to find an other option.

I visited during the peak grand prix 2017 season. I wasn't happy with the room I got, but the staff were really helpful in moving me to a room of my choice. Rooms are well maintained, well-lit. Hotel has ample parking facilities. While there aren't a lot of choice for hotels, I won't complain since there are a bunch of them within few miles. The hotel served hot breakfast with decent options, plus a decent variety of cereals, juices and a good coffee. (and yes, Tea was available too)

Let me start by the clerk at the front desk was rude, seems like we were bothering her for checking in. The room was smelly! Very dated (not to say old) . The "gym" was literally a closet! One 20 yr old treadmill that made so much noise it was unusable,a bike, and an all in one machine from a large store.... The pool was moldy, and the water was so cloudy you could not see the bottom of the pool! The food buffet was limited for breakfast. All in all pass on this hotel!

The hotel is ok. Staff was very kind, the hotel looks good. Lots of parking spot. The breakfast was more than I expected. It was homemade, fresh and very good. Coffee was good and lots to choose from. I am very happy with my overall experience at Best western Laval.

Despair, shock, and exhaustion that is how we felt when we arrived at the hotel. We fell asleep easily and woke up refreshed ready to go back and face the reality of our damaged house. We got breakfast included and it was perfect and we ate well. The staff was so nice and welcoming. Our stay was perfect.

If you want to feel special do not stay here. No restaurant, no bar, no rewards. If you are a member of the BW rewards program it does not seem to matter. There is no restaurant or bar within walking distance. The staff seemed inconvenienced by my arrival and departure and really that is there only job. Find another hotel when you visit Laval, Quebec.

Positives: staff is friendly and efficient; rooms are clean; wifi is easy to connect to; the mirrors in the gym are very big. Negatives: large room with 2 queen beds (reserved a king) but too much furniture for the space. Closet door doesn't close easily. Fitness centre is in need of some maintenance love. The weight machine is missing parts and there are no free weights, just a bench. The treadmill tread slips (very unsafe) and is very noisy. The elliptical is also very loud. The pool appears to be used for local children's swimming lessons. Breakfast is free, but definitely of the "you get what you paid for" variety. Unlikely to stay again unless I'm looking for a cheap place to sleep for a single night in the middle of a roadtrip.

I couldn't believe in my eyes. I booked a two queen bedroom and when I got there my room was an inside room with a wonderful sight, the breakfast room. I initially thought was a joke but unfortunately was not. I asked to have a classical view but the reception informed me that nothing was available then I asked to void the transaction but they told me it was not possible because was an internet booking. That was a nightmare, if you are claustrophobic stay away from this place. Which hotel can sell this kind of rooms? Maybe they should have a wonderful garden inside or maybe not.

The location of this hotel was convenient to the train station to Montreal. Despite the language difference, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was sufficient.

We arrived early (1:45) to inquire if we could check in. We were told it would be about 20 minutes so instead of going on to do sightseeing we decided to wait. The clerk and another employee stood at the counter and talked. After half an hour we again inquired and we were told perhaps 10 or 15 minutes. Again we waited. By this time others were arriving to check in but were also told it would be shortly. Well to make a long story short they delayed us until 3:00PM. Rather than check us in in the order of arrival, the clerk took a young couple first who she appeared to know. Eventually we did receive our room which was on the "1st floor" which turned out to be rather small and in the basement with only a small window overlooking the breakfast room.

Bad,terrible. The worst hotel I saw . No air in the room, suffocating . Not enough light either. Smells bad. You cannot open the small window . Sign of humidity on the ceiling. Out of the reception the hotel looks old and not maintained. We are on the first floor . Maybe others are better , I don't know. For us it was a very bad experience. Don't come here , go somewhere else.

This is the second time we've stayed here. Our first was "okay" nothing out ordinary but this time the initial welcome was outright frustrating. We arrived to this hotel at night after driving all day on the 16th of December, obviously we were tired. The room given to us had a bad lock. We tried and tried it wouldn't open we went back and forth so finally the front desk guy came to try it himself with an attitude on his face. He could not do it himself either for his own defense he told us " this is the third time we're issuing keys for this room today". Finally, he told us "wait in the same room (which he opened with a master key) until I change the room for you." One thing I did not like at all was that he told us (not in an asking tone) "Don't touch anything in this room until I give you another room" Also, he didn't apologize even once for the inconvenience this had caused us. Why would you give us the room if you already knew that was problematic to begin with? We travel to this part of Canada often so we might consider their competition from now on.

Advertises restaurant and bar.Has neither except for catered events. Gave us a card for the breakfast they serve advertising it was on till 10 AM. Went down at 0937 and it was all closed down. When I am on holidays I dont need a breakfast bad enough to be there by 0930. Way too early to close breakfast. Checked the next day. By 0930 they had everything put away. I think they close down so staff can have what is left.Asked if I could get a coffee and was told very rudely that it was closed. no attempt at English. I asked to speak to the manager at the front desk and was told he was in a conference call and would call me. Surprise he never did. Rooms were OK. Cleaning staff very good. Front staff friendly and bilingual.Not impressed with hotel.Checked out a day early

The room was to what is expected from this chain. Good class satisfying room hotel. Was not impressed with the brakfast area beeing to small for the guests waiting in line. People (family guests) were loud and impolite, non caring of other guests, children running all over the place

The exterior of the hotel looks lovely. Other things are the breakfast area, and the lobby. As for the guest room, I'd rate it a bit lower. It is clean and organized, with all the things I'd need - shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, soap, towels. I also love the private jacuzzi. The only thing that stopped me from giving 10/10 is that the room looks a bit old - i could see the edges of the ceiling paint coming off, the bathtub has a bit of discoloration, etc, etc.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. We were given a suite on the top floor which was huge but still disappointing. It was badly in need of an update and nothing in the room matched. The bathroom was like it was an island in the middle of the room. Odd......the sitting are was large with 4 chairs and a sofa (and, behind two doors, a whiteboard would you believe!!) but no television. There was one in the sleeping area. A very dowdy room overall but good of the Hotel to put us there when we had only booked a Queen room. The free breakfast was what you would expect of something given free. Not great but acceptable. There is also a pool but nowhere to change. Advice from Reception is to change in your room and, presumably, return there dripping wet. We refused to use. But the worst feature of the Hotel was its location. It is like it is on an island and so, so difficult to get to. At night and in the dark streets it was a nightmare. Never again. And the staff? Certainly polite but no one, at any time, asked us how our stay was or how our room was or how we were? We think that says it all. Such a shame. Am sure, Best Western you can do better.

Booked for 115$ Govt rate. Check in was OK, but got an upgrade to a full 1 bedroom suite on the top follow. It was big, with a king bed, 2 tvs , sofa , 4 chairs (like a meeting area), big desk and work area, fridge and microwave...the furniture was not modern and frankly was more 1990s style. There is a gym on premise, decent equipment, a decent sized indoor pool which I don't think was heated, decent breakfast with sausage an beans, plenty of parking. Overall, a decent place, but eventually needs to be renovated.

The rooms were fine, the pool was so-so but serviceable but the locale is pretty convenient if you're doing business north of Montreal. The construction in the summer of 2016 made driving in this area tough, but the directions on the hotel's site are pretty accurate. Kitty-corner to the hotel is the region's largest mall: Carrefour Laval, which is really worth a visit if you need to purchase anything. All the Canadian chains and many American ones are there.

We chose this hotel because it was very close to the people we were visiting. We checked in quite late (just before midnight) - we got the last parking space. A young man came out of the office to greet us as soon as we walked in. Our check-in was very quick, possibly because we booked on line. We got our room keys and headed up to room #401. We were pleasantly surprised to see we had been upgraded to a suite - WOW!! We were exhausted after a long visit with family and an even longer drive from Boston, so we fell asleep immediately. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. We woke up early the next morning, because we wanted to get an early start. The bathroom was large and clean and the shower was great (nice hot water and great water pressure). Breakfast was included in our stay and, I have to say, we really enjoyed it - scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, fruit, bread, and coffee (there were numerous options to choose from). The breakfast staff were very pleasant and very quick to replenish trays and clean the tables. The front desk staff was great, as well. We have family in Montreal, so we will be back for visits and will most definitely stay at this hotel again. Great value for the money and great location.

The staff was not really friendly, and they gave us a new room with only one bed when we reserved 2 beds. Our room was on the 4th floor and the window was facing towards the roof which was covered in wires. Half of the lights in the room were not working which left the room to be quite dark. The hotel was old and needs a full upgrade. Breakfast was okay, but not great. When we went to check out they said that they would not give us a receipt because we booked off of a website instead of directly with them. Overall, the price was way too expensive for what we got.

We had been to this hotel before. It was adequate and fairly priced, also we know the Best Western brand is usually good. However there were many small irritations and two major issues. More serious: My husband is waiting surgery on his leg and is considered legally "handicaped". There was no handrail going into the pool and so he decided to use the small ladder/stairs into the deep end. When he got to the last step it broke and came off. Quite dangerous. To make things worse, the phone from the pool to the front desk wasn't working. Second, I have sensitivities or allergies to many chemicals. We aired the room out when we got there and my husband asked the staff not to use cleaners when they cleaned the room. They still used some sort of chemical spray (or cleaner?). Had to again prop the door open and air the room. Small irritations:our room key twice not functioning when we returned from sight seeing in Montreal and having to go to the front desk to correct it. A very unhelpful front desk clerk "sorry I don't know how that air conditioning remote works", " yes you do have less air conditioning in your room than your daughters room, that's the way it is". " We'll get some towels down to the pool for your grandchildren" (me at the front desk in a dripping wet swimsuit).

Internet was slow and did not even connect in our room. We had to sit in the lobby to use wifi. We asked the front desk employee for shampoo and they gave lotion instead and said that is all they had. One of our rooms sinks had a crack. However the breakfast was good.

My husband and I were travelling from Barrie, ON to PEI for a vacation to visit our grandchildren. We stayed one night at the Best Western Laval-Montreal. It was a nice hotel, clean room, very comfortable bed, good location. Breakfast was good. The map on the hotel site is very good with the GPS coordinates and the building next door in locating the hotel. Would definitely recommend and stay again if ever going through Montreal. Pool looked nice but did not use it. Unfortunately the hotel was having a problem with their internet and it was down while we were there. Nice staff and very friendly.

We initially stayed here 16 years ago, when we had our wedding reception here. We haven't been here since, until last night. While the hotel holds lots of nostalgia for us, I was disappointed to see that it is in bad need of lots of upgrades. While the hotel is very clean and tidy, and the beds comfortable, the bathroom in our room was in need of work. The tub was an outdated off-white, with tacky non-slip strips applied to the bottom. It looked like strips had been applied over even older older strips. The tiles showed signs of old mildew that just forms after many years, despite being clean. Also, first time in a hotel our kids w Aren't interested in going swimming. The pool room was dark and creepy, even with lights on. The chlorine levels were so high that our eyes burned just being in the pool room. We have always loved this place, but it definitely needs some upgrading.

This was a nice motel,but hard to find if you use the address given! My gps had me far away from the actual location, I finally asked a local cop, turns out I was pretty close. The desk clerk gave me the address that will work with a GPS and it is : 2300 Monterey Street, Laval, QC I used it when I went out for some food and it worked good! The room itself was just a bit narrow, the space between the end of the bed and the desk is pretty tight. It has a nice sized desk and comfortable chair, also a separate table with two chairs. The room I had, overlooked the dining area and had a small balcony you could sit on. Breakfast was the best I have had on this trip, there was scrambled eggs, fried potato cubes, link sausage, pancakes, make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, along with the usual breads, cold cereal, oatmeal mix and assorted juices and coffee & tea. The pool is indoors, adjacent to the dining area. The internet connected easily, but was on the slow side. The TV had a mix of english and french language channels, what would you expect in Quebec?

We asked for a quiet room and that's exactly what we got. We slept very well. The front desk staff was caring and very smiling. Access to the hotel is very easy from highway 15 north but when we left the morning after, we had a hard time finding our way back to highway 15.

The hotel is easy to get to. We used the hotel because it was close to our sons place. It was quiet we left at 5:30am so we wanted a good night sleep which we got and we were in a room facing the highway very quiet. Only downside breakfast didn't start till 6:30 am Would stay there again.

Its a good hotel if you need to be in Laval for business. Clean, comfortable bed, lots of pillows, and complimentary breakfast. All at a reasonable price and good value for the money. Navigating the side streets to access the 440 or 15 is relatively easy.

The Internet was down. Getting help from the front desk took a very long time. They said the problem would only be a couple of hours. It took 1 day. Then it required a call back to find out the log in procedure had changed. Each call took 20-45 minutes to get someone to talk to. plus sides: Room was a little warn but clean, the bed was comfortable the jetted tub was huge.Breakfast was good. This is a very clean hotel. The room is large and, the bed comfortable. It has a bar fridge and a sitting area with a table & two chairs. The free buffet breakfast was excellent! Scrambled eggs, sausages, home fries & beans along with a variety of fruit, breads,yogurt, juices, coffee,etc. Very friendly staff. Over all a great experience. The only negative was no window in our room. It gave the impression in the morning that it was still night outside. Also, I was concerned re safety if there was a fire in the hallway we had no escape since the window was a false one. Otherwise, I was very satisfied.

We booked a suite which ended up being a two level room with an enormous jacuzzi tub upstairs. It was amazing and I recommend this hotel for that reason plus the breakfast is decent too (with the exception of those weird buffet eggs-just why?)

This hotel is just outside of Montreal but if you are looking for a place to relax after touring around the big city this hotel is a nice spot. Our grandkids made use of the indoor pool which was very clean and a perfect temperature for kids. Our daughter's room was 2 floors and very spacious, while our room was a good size with a very large whirlpool tub. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices for everyone. I would recommend this hotel for extended stays.

On the negative side. We had two rooms. On the second day, one room was not made up.We were out from 8:30AM. When we returned at 5, we called the front desk. The manager came by to look , and apologized. However, the room was not even refreshed after that, On the positive side was everything else,Netherlands pool, the wonderful full breakfast buffet which was included, the freshness of the rooms with the exception raised here, the lobby comfort etc

Good location on the north/west side of Montreal, with easy access to Hwy 15. Chose this hotel because of the proximity to Highways 15 and 640 on my way to the East Coast. Ideal way to avoid Montreal traffic if one is arriving from a westerly direction, say Ottawa.

I stayed in 211, the VERY first room beside the lobby. The evening and morning was very noisy. Was woken up around 7 am (alarm was set for 8:30). The staff was fine. The breakfast was okay, was very greasy. My room had rows of florescent lights all on the ceiling but none of them worked. The room was dark. Looked clean, bathroom was fine. I stayed here because it was close to my appointment the next day, but otherwise would never stay here again.

We love this pet friendly hotel. Room is clean and beds comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will stay again in this hotel. We chose the hotel because of the proximity to our relative's residence since our purpose was family visit

We booked the Best Western Plus in Laval for three nights through the "Air Miles" program. having read some reviews, we were not sure what to expect. However, once there this place exceeded any expectation that we had. The rooms are clean, and staff very friendly. We booked a King room which as the name suggest is huge with a king size bed and pull out couch. The second and third night be upgraded to the King Suite with Jacuzzi. I was expected a corner Jacuzzi tub, but we were surprised that this tub was a huge Jacuzzi tub that would normally be seen outside. The tub is designed for to people to lie down facing one another. Great way to unwind in the evening. The motel also has a pool. Bonus for staying at this motel is that breakfast is included. No need to go out for morning coffee or breakfast. Several selections from eggs, sausage, cereals, waffles, muffins, breads, and fruits. So while the motel may be slightly dated, it is clean and meets anyone's needs.

hotel ok, no food exept for breakfast so if you need to eat something you have to go out. hold but somewhat clean, bed just ok. staff was nice, ask for room in the back not facing the highway, pool did not want to go in, need to be refresh,

For a business stay very good room verry clean super nice and good breakfest .Free parking , pool ,internet, fast access to the high way.5 min from Carrefour Laval and 20min from Mirabel Premium Outlet. Tim hortons 2 min car ride

This is a fantastic hotel! Really clean, customer service really nice! Big room, lot of services (cable tv, wifi, internal swimming pool..) The only problem, if you don't have a car is disconnected from everything... 5 min by taxi to centropolis and carrefour laval where you have everything but if you don't have a car is difficult to reach it. But if you have it no problem! ;)

This hotel is so tired. I stay in hotels 125+ nights a year. This hotel should not be PLUS status. It might be great for hockey teams and such but not for business traveler. Beds are rock hard, internet doesn't work half the time and the bathrooms are antique.

Stayed here while in Montreal watching our grand-daughter in a soccer tournament. The hotel had a few teams there but the kids were all great and the hotel was perfect for this kind of activity. Breakfast was great. The kids loved the pool. The exercise room could be bigger and benefit from more/better equipment but that is a minor detail. Overall, we found it very nice and I would recommend it.

Very nice room. Greeted quickly and very friendly staff behind the counter. Couple issues with my room. The desk chair is totally falling apart. My floor is messed up. Other than that.............. it's clean, roomy and I'm only here for one night and gone as soon as I can. Not a great location. I have stayed other places in Laval and downtown. I say spend the extra $100 and get down near the arena, bars etc.

Stayed before, had wonderful experience a year aago. This time exact opposite. Poor manners on desk staff. Charged my card an additional $150. without informing me. I later learned from manager, it was a "smoking deposit". He refunded it. No mention of it in reservations or by the check in person! Water in tub, hair on blow dryer, out of tissues and not replaced. Very poor service...front desk doesn't care about you!

Rooms are very nice except the old style water pipe in the washroom. need to be upgrade. Breakfast was very good. All items are fresh. Good coffee. Very Quite place to stay. Some rooms has the Balcony I didn't get that. Receptionists are not that very polite. Need training for them and as well as they should think that Customers are number one priority. Parking is very cool. all included. Closed to Hwy. Now busy all the times. Keep up the good job....

Worst hotel in Laval The whole place smells like the indoor pool Noisy, sound coming from everywhere, breakfast area and including the cleaners yelling at each other down the corridors. Agreed on rate at check in at check out it was $10 / night higher. Told them the agreed rate from check in and they said that is the rack rate and nothing can be done about it.

The staff is very friendly, the room was clean. I enjoyed the breakfast. The parking lot wasnt plowed when I left in the morning around 0800am. I do recommend this hotel for business or personnel trip.

"Would try some place else next"

Hotel was good for location to the highway. The room was mediocre at best, especially for the price. our room was at the end of the hall facing the inside of the hotel which made it feel a bit claustrophobic as the only window looked out to the back of an interior wall. But the negative for us was the smell in the room. It was as though someone had spilt a bottle of cologne before they checked out. It was very strong, enough to give us headaches. But apparently it is the smell from something they use to clean the rooms because we could smell it outside any of the rooms housekeeping was in. We actually kept our door open when ever we were in the room to air it out and did not have housekeeping come back while we were there. The front desk staff was not terribly friendly and did not acknowledge us anytime we came in to the hotel. The breakfast was pretty good though and it was clean, if a bit odorous. So if you don't mind strong smells its probably fine. But we won't be back.

Convenient to auto routes and shopping. Very nice decor, our room had a balcony to an interior atrium. Good breakfast selection. Will be back. Although on the service road for a busy auto-route, the hotel is quiet . Great shopping nearby at Carrefour Laval. Close to Hwy 15 and 440 interchange.

check in was fast with very friendly staff. the room was large clean with a couch and fridge with coffee maker in the room. No restaurant in the hotel. be prepared to eat going out of hotel or ask delivery in the room from nearly restaurant

We stayed for 2 nights and found it very good value for money at $106 a night (before tax). The room was one of the largest I have stayed in for it's category which was enjoyable. The bathroom was incredibly small, which is a shame they didn't use some of the space from the rest of the large room. Nonetheless it wasn't a big deal for us. Breakfast was included which was great; it was basic but still nice. It took about 25-30 mins to drive to the city and about 10 minutes the other way to the factory outlets. The staff were friendly so I only really have good things to say about our experience here. Would certainly stay again.

This had to be the nicest hotel in this price range we have ever stayed at. There may be nicer ones ( I don't know what could have been nicer) but you will be paying hundreds of dollars more. Lots of room in the room and bathroom to move around in. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Pool area was clean.

Was quite pleased with an overnight stay for business at this hotel. The room was very clean, bedding and linens were very comfortable. The bathroom has a separate thermostat which is quite rare and quite pleasant. The included breakfast was great, there was choices for every tastes. I highly recommend and will gladly stay again next time I'm in Laval.

I called about a week ahead to book a room and informed the clerk that I'm a university teacher benefiting from the government employee pricing. At the time of the reservation, there was no problem and the clerk gave me the right price. When I arrived at the hotel, the clerk asked me for a proof of employment but unfortunately, I forgot my employee card at home. I offered to show her other proofs of my employment at the university but she refused. She then went to get the manager. The so-called manager then proceeded to explain to me in his patronizing voice that university teachers are not government employees and that he never gave such pricing to any teacher. Even when I offered to show him the university's policy on travel expenses online, he refused to listen to me and kept rudely dismissing me. Even when I told him that I'm regularly benefiting from this pricing in a different Best Western regularly, he stayed on his position and refused to listen to me. He didn't offer me a room at the regular price. He didn't try to keep me as a customer. I left the hotel at 6PM and had to find a room at the last minute. All this manager wanted was to put me down. Well, he won. He lost a customer and so did the Best Western chain. There are enough hotels in this city for me to find a room where the staff is pleasant and welcoming. I will never use Best Western again.

Booked here based upon Trip Advisor reviews. Pro: Included Breakfast, easy access to Montreal via car, reasonable price, free parking and Wi-Fi Cons: Wi-Fi did not work for us on our phones in this hotel, staff/hotel did not have much information about Montreal and things to do; No towels in pool area; pool area and steps into pool very slippery and no hand rail into pool; bar and restaurant area were closed during our stay; pillow choice in room all firm, no soft pillows; towels in rooms were old- frayed edges
