My wife and I where placed in this hotel by Lufthansa Air lines on 24th of September 2024. Hotel is nice and clean as for 3star. Stuff very nice and helpful. There is one think I have to mention for future travellers as well as for hotel management. We where picked up from the airport stop no.6 around 8.45 pm after 1h wait. Haven't seen small black bus with hotel name 8.00pm as the pickup time should be in full hour as we where told by Lufthansa representative. Fortunately one of the travellers let me use his phone to call the hotel to ask abut the shuttle. after 40 minutes black minivan arrived. I will remember this road to the rest of my life . We where driven by some crazy driver. there are some speed limits on highway, 80k/100k. From my back seat I've clearly saw him driving close 150 in speed limit zones in rainy whether. When i mentioned this to some of hotel staff they replied that they know him from this behaviour. I don't think someone with such a heavy foot should be driving passengers. For a change our shuttle driver on the way back was super nice and balanced driver.
Ended up here after major flight cancellations. Rooms have a very comfortable bed and spacey bathroom. The interior design is clearly outdated but well maintained. They offer a high quality breakfast with stuff like omelets prepared on the spot. Service provided by the staff was very helpful and correct. A very decent experience, so recommend.
Hotel is clean and efficient if not particularly "friendly", good bas eif you are working in Hanau. The surrounding town area, however, is great to stroll around of an evening and has a great choice of restaurants
I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is very easy to find and located very well for the old town sights. Reception is spacious and the staff were friendly and efficient. The room is simple, clean and adequate with a simple, slightly cramped bathroom with a good shower. TV choices for English channels are limited, as is common for German hotels. The bar was very quiet while I was there and I got great service for beer and sandwiches. Breakfast is fairly extensive and the usual cooked, cold cuts, fruits and yoghurts type offering. I enjoyed my stay here and will return.
I stayed here three nights. It's just off the highway and easy walking distance to the old town which is very nice with Several restaurants etc. The public rooms are nice, restaurant and bar good. Service is very good. Bedroom and bathroom was good size and very clean and smart. Bed was two comfortable singles pushed together as a double. Overall this is a nice mid range business hotel BUT the Wi-fi is enough to drive you crazy. There are two options to log on. You need to enter a name, room number and correct checkout date each day for each device ( phone, tablet, pc) the accept their conditions. Connection success was about 50%. Painful.
Small double room but very clean with good ensuite and toiletries provided. Very good choice of food at breakfast. Had lunch and dinner at the hotel during my stay. All fine. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Pretty town right next door. Had a G&T in the bar and that was expensive!!
We stayed at this location for 5 nights. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was efficient but not exactly friendly. The hotel is in a very good location. We had breakfast at the hotel and I would call it adequate. It was never very busy but when things ran out they didn't seem to be replaced. It was even difficult to get hot water for tea. When a server did appear they were helpful. The housekeeping staff did a great job. Expensive but I would stay here again.
Stayed here for business. Nice surroundings. Beautiful hike/bike trails along the river and Steinheim local attractions are easily accessible by foot. The room is on the small side compared to US hotel rooms, but typical for the area. Rooms and conference rooms are not well air-conditioned, so dress appropriately for the summer months - lose the coat! They offer the typical continental breakfast buffet, but they do cook eggs/omelettes. Nice to have a bar at the lobby to socialize with colleagues after meetings/work. Easy to request for cab to take you to nearby towns or to the airport. Helpful staff.
€19 for breakfast is way too much for what was on offer, didn't bother with restaurant as again prices too high for what was being offered, plenty of places in the town offering more for less. Don't park inside hotel it's €8, free outside of wall.
We returned to this hotel again for another visit, as we had such a great time the first time. Started the booking process by booking directly on the bw website. Booked one of the two suites available according to the webpage. Drive the 700km to Hanau and after experiencing some bad traffic, called the hotel to let them know we would arrive late but would definitely arrive . Arrived about 19.00 and was greeted by front desk with the answer that the hotel does not have suites, I had the forethought to make a screen shot or the webpage , showed this and the girl explained it was incorrect, she could however offer rooms with joining doors , which we accepted. Arrived in our rooms to be greeted by the smell of raw sewage or fouled water. Returned to reception, greeted by a different member of staff, explained yet again the full situation and was offered another room with joining door. These were advertised with double bed and king bed , received maybe king and definitely a single bed !!!. Then noted that the second room was actually a function room/office with projector screen etc. at this point patience was running thin. I asked for the manager, apparently none were available, I demanded some compensation for the string of events and to be honest criminal behavior, was offered breakfast , when I responded that I didn't think it a fair compensation I was told it's enough and take it or leave it . I am still waiting for a response nearly a month later
room was clean ,staff were very friendly.. good food for breakfast. I thought the room will be bigger but it wasn't small either. the area around the hotel was beautiful you could just walk around. I would stay again.
I stayed 1 night on business. Rooms are fine and quite big. My room was at the back near the road and outside was the cleaners cupboard where they like to have a chat at 7am. Good breakfast. Decent business hotel. I arrived to late to have dinner. Staff were helpful and friendly
i was in this hotel for 3 nights for a job meeting. Very nice and clean hotel. The breakfast was good and there is also a small gym. Really nice the bar, always open and also the location is not bad really close to the old city center where are some nice restaurant
Probably a very old building restored few good years ago.A lot of green around, quiet, nice restaurant. One of the very good hotels of Best western where I was in different places. For sure a good choice
Stayed for 2 nights, nice enough but nothing special. Was disappointed with room service- after ordering at 8pm I was told the only options available were panini. Breakfast also disappointing- no one to greet me (even though the room was almost empty) and I had to fetch my own coffee jug from behind the server's station.
I spent there a couple of nights for business. The hotel is big and beautiful. Rooms are well equipped and clean. Bed and pillow too soft as often in Germany. Cover too warm. Breakfast is very good, but too expensive (18€). Very nice is the new gym. Not too big but ok, a lot of Windows so with a lot of light. All equipment are new and of good quality, remarkable.
Situated in a calm place in the middle of green trees. The rooms are OK, however there are different kind of rooms depending if you get a room on the old side, or new side. Breakfast is above average for German standard,
Functional, clean, safe, fine hotel for a 2 night business trip. Wouldn't suit couples or families in my opinion but for a short stay for business, it was suitable. I didn't get a chance to look around but colleagues said there were good restaurants locally. We ate in the restaurant and no complaints for dinner or breakfast. Food was tasty and felt like a particular effort was made to offer more than just your standard hotel service at dinner. The restaurant manager was very attentive. Also let us try wines and advised us on our choices which was appreciated.
Stayed there 3 nights for business. I slept well as the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and well made. But the overall style of the room is old, and doesn't comply with modern hotel standards (lightning and carpets is old fashioned, plastic shower, old furniture...). Breakfast was ok.
Car parking excellent at front of hotel. Reception area good, but to reach designated room necessary to actually go outside (three floors up) onto a linking bridge, incorporating the emergency escape spiral stairway on the corner, covered but no side walls (not good if you suffer from vertigo); access by this route only option - alternative routing within building closed off. Other guests in same situation. No luggage assistance, but trolley available - fun on the bridge! No evening restaurant (Sunday), but minimal (three item) bar snacks available. Room itself very good, if a little tired. Recommend the five/ten minute stroll into adjacent old (1500s) walled town, with choice of at least five good and very reasonably priced restaurants. Breakfast good cold buffet, hot food limited to very tired bacon, sausage and scrambled - but surly lady chef was preparing good omelettes to order - if you had adequate time and patience! Overall, reasonable overnight stop, but not worthy of the "premier" BW status.
The staff did not inform us that we couldn't get directly to our room without walking up and down stairs across the dining room while they were doing repairs. No English tv stations to watch. Breakfast is way too expensive comparatively. In an industry where service is key, this place is lacking.
I stayed here for two nights whilst on business in the area as the hotel is close to my office. It is very well suited for a business trip - I don't know if there is much to do for tourists in the area. The hotel is modern and the rooms are a reasonable size. My room was a twin (quite common in Germany) and the beds were comfortable and not too hard which is often the case in German hotels. There was no air conditioning which meant I had to have the window open which also allow the noise of aeroplanes in which was a little disturbing. I think some rooms in the hotel are air conditioned so if visiting in warmer months request one of these! The bathroom was a reasonable size, with just a shower cubicle which had strangely opening doors which leaked so the floor got wet every time I used the shower. Both bedroom and bathroom were clean and everything was well maintained. I ate dinner in the hotel on one evening and the food was very good. Service was a little bit slow, as it was at the bar. There is a nice outside seating area. Breakfast was also good, with a nice selection of hot and cold items. WiFi was free and a good speed. The staff I spoke to were all friendly and helpful.
The room and bed were good but the staff is very unfriendly. I had an issue with the booking and the staff at the reception was very unfriendly solving it. Prepaid room and still wanted to charge my credit card... During breakfast one of the waitresses dropped a can of milk on the floor splashing my business suit literally from waist till my feet. All she did was giving me a tissue and walked away without any word!!! Ordering a bear took ages... Slow service, then had to wait for the bill, then had wait to get a pen so I can sign for each drink separately. That repeated itself 3 times.. For each beer... I will send them the bill for the suit steam cleaning and I will NOT come back to the hotel for sure...
Stayed two nights. Modern hotel right at the edge of old town Hanau Steinheim. Staff was very nice. Room includes minibar and snacks for purchase (there is a Lidl across the street if you need a nosh). Friend ate at restaurant and declared it underwhelming.
This Best Western has most of what a business traveler would need. The breakfast is traditional. Bathrooms are small, but this is to be expected in most of Europe. Wonderful dining available in a short walk up the hill in Steinheim (Hanau) makes this a great place to stay.
I stayed at this hotel the 1st week in July for 4 nights. The hotel staff are efficient, friendly, polite and helpful. The rooms are very clean if a little bit small but comfortable. I was lucky and had a balcony albeit without any furniture. The beds are good although you may have to ask for an additional pillow which there are a number of different types available. The bathroom was spotless and there were plenty of clean towels. Food wise the breakfast is very good with plenty of choice and eggs cooked as you like them fresh. The food in the evening be it in the restaurant or lounge bar is very good and well presented. We were at the hotel at the time of the European football semi finals and the staff went out of their way to make enough seating and service so everyone could watch the games in comfort. This is a very good hotel and is well placed for the town center where there are other bars and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel for both Business people and holiday makers in the area.
...the best alternative to many outdated hotels in Steinheim. The area (old town of Hanau-Steinheim) around makes you feel a little like in a medieval movie. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Service was quick.
Excellent service and personnel, extended breakfast, hotel is close to highway and easily accessible close to a lot of good restaurants in the neighbourhood in 5-10 minutes walking distance. To be recommended for stays in the Frankfurt area.
We spent a night in this hotel and it was not a good experience... First of all, the room we booked was kind of difficult to find, even with the little map the reception staff gave us (at least one of the front desk ladies was nice). The room was on the 4th floor but the main little elevator only reaches the 3rd floor, so you have to get off here (carrying all your luggage by yourself) and walk to another area of the hotel, which means to get outside and walk through an open aisle in order to reach the other building (it was raining!) and then get another elevator to the 4th floor. We booked a "Double Bed-Executive Room-Deluxe Furnishings-Courtyard View" room type, it was average but the bathroom was tiny: When you opened the bathroom door, it hit the toilet!! We could not belive this. The air condition never worked, even following very carefully the instructions to turn it on. We called the front desk but nobody answered the phone. So, we had a hot, humid and windless night. Next morning, we were leaving the hotel and one of the hotel staff wanted us to go downstairs carrying 4 pieces of luggage instead of the elevator to the 3rd floor! Why? Just because! Of course we didn't pay any attention and got the elevator. The only good thing of this hotel: It's located next to the amazing medieval Hanau downtown, it was so beautiful! We had a delicious dinner at an Italian restuarant with an excellent service. We do not believe that is a Premier hotel, is at best a 3 star hotel.
I stayed there roughly 3 weeks per month over the course of half a year. The food was good but the breakfast was excellent! They also serve veggie/vegan bread spread in quite some variety. The staff was great - without saying I was served my special things, also in the bar. I definitely will come back!
I've spent 2 weeks in this hotel for a business trip and I was impressed. Room are very clean, provided with kettle, and iron can be requested at the reception. Very good internet speed, large free parking and a very nice neighborhood. In 2 min you can walk in the old city center of Steinheim and to the fortress wall and tower. Many restaurant options - including the hotel one. Staff was extremely efficient and friendly and I can see the hotel is always busy with group conferences. Very close to Frankfurt airport, but if you rent a car pay attention where you refill with fuel - no gas station on the road from Hanau to the airport, and the one in the airport I honestly didn't have time to search for it.
Room: functional, clean, bathroom with shower having good water pressure Outside parking available free of charge Excellent restaurant, really top quality and great service. (bringing your food with white gloves) Close to the old city and walking distance from supermarkets. Received a bottle of water free of charge. Hotel is located in a quiet area although close to the highway. I only take a small breakfast so to pay for a slice of breath with a coffee 17€ I find a little expensive. This is the only negative thing I can say.
This hotel is worth staying if you are in the neighbourhood since the rooms are clean and breakfast is very good. My room had a very good bed (very high) and one of the best i had recently. Make sure you visit the old center on walking distance from the hotel since there are some very nice restaurants in the center.
Visited hanau for a family christening , opted for this hotel . Easy to find, easy to park . Was greeted by extremely friendly and professional front desk , room was spacious and very comfortable and the missing child's bed ordered was very quickly put in place. Great location to the town and breakfast was very good. We didn't get the chance to use the restaurant , but by the amount of outside guests visiting it must of been good ... Very few free tables . All in all , highly recommended
I have stayed here multiple times. It is a nice hotel, rooms are a little on the small side, but clean & well appointed. The best part is the location - short walk up the hill to the old town - many restaurant options. For a business traveler, it's nice to have so many restaurant options close by. The staff is friendly and helpful. Despite it being close to the highway, the walls & windows are very solid there is no outside noise in the room.
They take care of the things that matter to business travelers. It is located adjacent to several good restaurants in addition to having a good restaurant on site. Breakfast is very good quality. The hotel is perfectly clean.
Have stayed a number of times at Villa Stokkum, and it has always been a good experience. This time I stayed during a small heatwave, it was 35-36C, and it was impossible to get the roomtemparature much lower that 30C. In the room it even says that the aircon only can reduce the outdoor temparature by max 6C, for a hotel of this standand this is not good enough, they need to upgrade the aircon. Apart from having to sleep at 30C, it was as expected, Room are of a good quality, and though the Hotel is located just next to the Autobahn, you cannot heat the cars.
This hotel is not bad. It is decent but definitely for the price nothing outstanding. Rooms are very small bed was very small. Bathroom not too impressive but not too bad either. Given that there are not too many choices in Hanau this is one of the better choices.
This is a clean, good business hotel. My single room was on the small side, once I opened my suitcase I had to step over it as there was not enough space to walk around it. The decor is rather bland, but the pillows and bed were very comfortable and the breakfast selection very varied and good quality.
This was an overnight stay while visiting clients nearby. My single room had all mod cons; the shower and Wifi worked well, I didn't turn on the TV. The buffet breakfast is excellent in variety, quality and quantity. My price (a corporate rate) was €107 including breakfast. There are several restaurants within walking distance in the Altstadt Steinheim. The hotel is about 30km, mostly Autobahn, from Frankfurt airport. Travel time depends on the traffic, anything from 20 minutes upwards.
