Best Western Grants Inn

We were traveling and looking for a clean quiet place to stop, and we got it here. The staff was friendly and helpful.the rooms were clean and very comfortable .It has recently been renovated. Definitely recommend staying here for anyone traveling this direction.

Clean, updated and well-kept property offering a free hot breakfast. Indoor pool is open year-round. Superb staff always ready to help. Comfortable, well-appointed rooms. This is our family's go-to location for visits to Grants and Milán.

Friendly check in at front desk. Clean rooms. Quiet. Good Internet. Easy access. Nearby restaurants. Overall good value for the price. Safe. Good size parking lot with EV charging station in parking lot.

Great choice while driving along Route 40 aka Route 66. We were traveling with a Fish Tank and it was easy to bring inside. Yes, the fish, frogs and snail all survived their cross country road trip thanks to them. Lobby was bright, clean and easy to get a relaxing breakfast.

So disappointed in this place. It had a very bare bones, budget feel to it as if the owner were trying to economize. The glam mirrors and lighting were nice but somewhat out of place. The sheer window shade in the room was broken. The comforter is very thin There was a stack of dirty pillows in the entry way. The Internet was on and off, mostly off and slow when it was on. Wish there were a better place to stay in Grants. And please, we need more motels that do NOT allow pets.

Lobby receptionist was very accommodating and helpful. Nice clean rooms. The morning breakfast had a large variety of choices. The dining area for breakfast was modern and clean. Has easy access on and off of I44 which was a definite plus when traveling.

We make a point of staying at this hotel on our annual trip from Ohio to Arizona. The staff is exceptional - friendly and helpful. The suite is spacious and convenient to amenities. The hot breakfast is exceptional for variety and quality. We make it a point to stop here every year.

We truly enjoyed our visit to the Grants' Best Western. I had very low expectations and came away with a great experience. The front desk was awesome, especially Jasmine and the young man at the front desk. Breakfast was way beyond expectations. 2 egg choices, maple sausage and hash browns along with the usual fare. Room was amazingly quiet, great black out blinds, and a great staff. The Junkyard on 66 Brewery was awesome with the best brisket we have ever had. Beer was great, as well. Price was a tad higher, but considering the location, understandable. When coming back to explore more of the New Mexican natural wonders, we will positively make this our place to stay.

This hotel is conveniently located off the interstate. It's clean with tile floors and comfortable with updated rooms. A great value for the money. The staff is friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

We stayed one night arriving late afternoon, leaving early morning. It's a pretty basic motel, but the room was clean and after removing the top cover, we stayed cool all night. The pillows were awful, but the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. I thought the price was on the high side given the area, but their pet fee was lower than others.

Easy access from the highway, but no highway noise. Clean, modern rooms with plenty of counter space. Indoor pool and hot tub were sparkling clean. On our visit, this was the more expensive of two Best Western properties in Grants.

We made a reservation while "stuck" in a two hour delay on I-40 in western New Mexico, looking for a place that had an easy "on/off" from the Interstate. We needed a "pet friendly" hotel, and this one was listed as such. When we arrived, we were greeted by Alex. He assured us that pets are welcome, and gave us a room at the end of the building near an exit. That allowed us to take the dogs out when necessary, and to unload necessities from the car much easier. He also gave us a recommendation on where to get dinner. Alex called us about 15 minutes after we had arrived, just making sure that all was good. Much appreciated that. The stay was good. The room was clean and quiet. Our only disappointment was when we went to breakfast at about 8:30, and found that there was not much left...just the reconstituted eggs. Other than that, can easily recommend this Best Western.

1. Child-sized toilets? Really? Literally could not get up off of it! 2. Why did hot water go out entirely while I shampooed my hair? THAT was memorable.... 3. Fridge so loud we had to move a MASSIVE dresser and unplug it in order to sleep. 4. Whose idiot idea was it to wire the door light switch into one of the bedside lamps? Because either it WOULD NOT TURN OFF or it WOULD NOT TURN ON from the bedside, making lamp utterly useless. 5. You have exactly ZERO accessible queen rooms. The Justice Department would not be pleased to know this. Y'all need to seriously rethink your building logistics and upkeep. Bleh. Wanted to like. Then wanted to leave!

Newer hotel- located next to a DQ- Walmart and other retail nearby- vinle floor- dog friendly- very good breakfast- comfy bed- you could hear plumbing when used by neighbors. Refrigerator and microwave. Needed some paint touchups. Good traveler hotel.

We ususally stay at this hotel 2-3x a year and are pleased with the updates and cleanliness. Easy access off Interstate. There are not many restaurant choices, DQ,Taco Bell, Denny's, Subway, but they meet our needs. This last visit we did not have shampoo, conditioner, or body wash in the shower containers or have a bath mat. Did let Front Desk know the next morning after the fact. We will stay here again.

The lobby was separate from the rooms. Not so great when it is freezing cold outside. It did have wood floors. The blinds on the windows operated with chains. One was very stiff. I thought I would break it. The light on the desk seemed to have a short. It was finicky and didn't work half the time. The screw was taken out of the remote and the battery cover was loose and it didn't work right so I took it down to the desk. Her solution was to tape the back of it. Pillows were very thick. No thinner ones. The TV did have the guide feature for the channels which was great. The room was clean. Usually when we stay at Best Westerns everything is better than this.

The staff was very helpful. They actually called our room after check in to ask if everything was good once we got in the room. That was really nice. The rooms/hotel needs some work on soundproofing. We could hear everything and you could see lots of light through the door. Room was clean. Looks like the room has been recently updated but they also need to do some additional soundproofing.

Made reservations before arrival every thing went just as planned. easy check in great stay. good breakfast choices would definitely stay here again would recommend this hotel for the traveler great location right near highway

We checked in and went to the room. It looked fine. But, as I sat on the bed, my leg started getting wet. The mattress was wet! There was no mattress cover, only a sheet, and it was soaking through to my leg. They moved us to another room, but told me they were going to have to rent that room out since they were full. Ewwww! The next room has beds that were dry, but one side of them was completely broken down. We slept sideways on them because we felt like we were going to fall out of bed The next morning, we heard banging against the door and walls in the room under us. Then glad shattering. The police had broken in. We were scheduled to come back the next week on our trip back and want to cancel, but they won't let us

Located just off the interstate. New and clean place, rooms were fine. We had a handicap accessible room, and the shower was well set up for this. Friendly & helpful desk staff. Our first time here, and we liked this hotel very much. An excellent place to stay!!

Better to stay at the Sure Stay Inn Best Western for $50 dollars less a night with rooms equal to the Best Western. Paid more for this room than any other on my trip and was the worst room of them all.

This hotel is dirty and noisy. The bed cover was stained, and the room had obviously, not been cleaned, as the tub was dirty and even had hairs in it. After being assured that the room would b quiet, even though they allowed pets, we were woken once really early by a dog barking in a room,. That wasn't so bad, as we were able to get back to sleep Then we were woken up at 6:30am by a dog barking loudly outside out room. It made us jump up, and we could not get back to sleep. We really needed to sleep later as we had a 10 hour drive home. We ended up leaving. There was no point in staying if we could not sleep later. We could not even take a shower as the tub was filthy. I wish I had seen that the night before. When we complained to the woman at the front desk, she said that she would talk to the manager and get back to me about it. No one ever got back to me. I phoned two weeks later and was told that I could not get a refund as I had left a bad review. I had NOT left any reviews yet. I HAD answered a survey from Best Western, because they sent me one. I wasn't going to lie to them. They can't improve things unless they know there is a problem. I guess this was the review they meant???? I called my credit card company to let them sort it out. Hopefully they will be able to. And NOW, I am leaving the bad review that I hadn't left before! This hotel is not that old. They should not be having problems like that. Keep driving! Unless you don't mind a dirty room!

Good stay in an out-of-the-way town in NM It's possible that people are reviewing the wrong hotel as these 2 similarly named are in the same area. We found the hotel to be clean and adequate for our stay enroute. Breakfast is always my benchmark and waffles, breakfast burritos, french-fry-like potatoes were offered. Coffee was plentiful. Our breakfast attendant was helpful and gracious. Some say it's odd that you had to "walk to a different building" for check-in and breakfast, but it's shorter than many walks I've had inside a hotel. Plus is a Dairy Queen next door :) Note to mgmt: add some outside seating that is not the "smoking bench".More

I checked into this hotel for a business trip for my job. I was suppose to be here for 30 days. 2 weeks into my stay things were stolen from my room. I made the front desk aware of the situation and was told the manager would get in touch with me. No one ever called. So I stop by after work to check on things and was told the head manager was out of town but the front desk manager Monique was in. Long story short I filed a Police Report for my stolen items and was told I had to leave the property because I decided to press charges on the cleaning lady who had access to my room. RUN please don't stay here unless you want your things stolen. This whole situation was handled unprofessional. I will never stay at a Best Western ever again.

The entryway into the property (archway) was very pretty but a little scary in a 26' U-Haul truck. Fortunately there was at least a foot to spare. Parking for the truck was limited, but we made it. Check in was fast and efficient. The rooms were small but adequate and clean. Refrigerator worked great. The cooling system ran all the time even though set on auto and at a reasonable temperature. The elevator to the 2nd floor was a little wimpy. The lobby was very nice. Breakfast was adequate with make your own waffles, some hot foods, and decaf coffee. I would stop again.

I always stay at Best Westerns whether driving through or at my destination. This stay was special because it was a road-side location I expected road-side accommodations. This was far exceeded both by staffing and facilities. Keep it up and stay positive, it shows!

Accessible room with fleas. Outside door did not work and customers were standing outside waiting for someone coming out to let us in. The price was not what it should have been for the quality of the room. I asked when we made the reservation about dogs and they said that they were not allowed except for service dogs. A customer had his dog in the breakfast room and he was barking at everyone and the staff said nothing. Minimal breakfast. The owner of the Best Western would not refund the second night even though we payed for a night at the Holiday Inn to get away from the fleas. It is a much better stay at the Holiday Inn across the street.

Except the breakfast. Hopefully the breakfast attendant can get it together because it almost ruined my stay. The room was great. We had a suite so it was big and comfortable, not many complaints except not having enough towels, they put 3 towels and 2 washcloths, I don't know how they came up with that math. The lobby is detached so it's a walk if you need anything.

Wonderful staff. Alexander was very kind and helpful. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Wish we would have had more time to stay. Check out was so easy. I have never experienced an easier check in and check out with a hotel. Also within walking distance to many different types of food.

We checked in and we given a king suite. After unpacking our clothes and trying to get ready for an event we had scheduled, we found we had no hot water. When brought to the attention of the staff, they said it was due to the washers running and it would be 30 minutes before we could get hot water. We waited and after 30 minutes still no hot water. We brought it to the attention of the staff and now were told that it would be an hour before we could have hot water. That was unacceptable since we had an event to attend. They moved us to another building into a regular room. The next morning when checking out I brought it to their attention that the new room was supposed to be a lower price than the suite. They apologized but couldn't adjust the bill since there was no manager there but gave me a number to call back. I made the call two days later and still got the excuse that no manager was available to adjust the bill. As of today, I still have not been contacted or had my bill adjusted.

Over all nice hotel, good bed & pillows, clean, quiet, did have breakfast but we didn't eat there, but it smelled good. Good location. Girl at check in wasn't overly nice but it was late, girl at check out was super friendly

It's been a while since I've stayed at a BW and honestly was impressed. Very clean, tastefully decorated and updated. The breakfast needs improvement. Coffee was cold, eggs were cold & very burnt. The young lady working was overwhelmed.

Major Problem: I traveled for work. I made my reservation for 4 nights using the BW website. I finished my work early, so I checked out 2 nights early. The manager would not refund me the 2 nights I didn't stay. So far, BW 1-800 customer service hasn't helped me. I may have to challenge the charge with my credit card company. Not happy about paying 4 nights for a 2-night stay! I usually travel with IHG or Bonvoy and I've never had problems checking out early. I'll avoid BW in the future because of this problem. Pro: Very clean. Looks like it has been recently remodeled. Probably the nicest hotel in Grants, NM. Con: Tight parking area. Be aware if you have a trailer or motor home.

Had a very good stay. Room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Parking was real good. The help at check room friendly. I would stay there again. It was right off I-40.

Very dirty room. Night auditor did not know what she was doing. The price was not what it should have been for the quality of the room. Unclean and unsanitary, but we had to settle. The front lobby was very nice so we expected the rooms to be.. very disappointed!!!

This was a different type hotel with the lobby in a different building from the room. This is the SECOND best western I have been in that had no wifi. I called the front desk and she gave me a number for technical support. The message said they are having problem – YEA no kidding. They gave me a work around over the phone but that did NOT WORK. I gave up as I was spending too much time. Next time it is NOT BEST WESTERN!!!!!

I'm rent this room because we were traveling with my family and try to rest for the night to keep going in the morning so I can barely sleep with all that noise off the water lines every time somebody uses the in the second floor it what's up too much noise in my room I can barely rest or sleep

Was pleasantly surprised to see that this hotel is updated throughout the room. Was comfortable for a one night stay. The only surprise is that the Reservation Desk/breakfast room is not connected to the hotel. You need to go outside to get there. Not a big deal other than it was cold outside so had to dress accordingly. Location wise there weren't a lot of lunch or dinner choices. Subway, Taco Bell, DQ were the few options we found.

Good place for an overnight stay. Clean rooms, good area of town. Close to the interstate and fuel. The parking lot is also well lighted. Would stay again if I came through this way. I don't have much else to say about this since I am trying to get through the minimum required characters

We have been traveling, Michigan to Az. This was the best overnight…….. staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was meticulously kept with fresh fruit and eggs cooked onsite. Clean rooms. Thank you!!!

We were on our way to Las VegAs and really needed a place to rest for the night. We stumbled upon the Best Western close to interstate. Glad we did. Room was clean and comfortable along with a friendly staff.

Stayed one night with a friend in a double room. We chose this location because of its proximity to El Malpais and El Morro NMs. Nice rooms with inside corridors, and comfortable beds. Breakfast had hot food, which was a nice touch. We had dinner at Pizza 9 and recommend it (it's more than just pizza in a nice atmosphere, despite what it looks like from the outside!). Dennys and Walmart across the road and a gas station with DQ right next door.

Recently stayed during a cross country move with my dog. Check-in was super easy. The room was clean and located close to an exterior door, making it really easy to get my dog outside when she needed to use the bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Great experience all around.

Best Western has often been one of my go-to hotels while traveling over the years, especially when my pet was with me. This Best Western in Grants, NM is the absolutely-worst one I have ever stayed in. My safety as an older woman traveling was at severe risk - someone kept moving a heavy trash receptacle to block an entry door open so anyone could enter the hotel. (I almost called the police - it was that bad.) The room was extremely dirty with a hard floor that hadn't been swept. The housekeepers had their young children with them as they cleaned (and I never before saw a housekeeper holding their handbag as they worked). Breakfast was beyond awful, including an employee doling out whatever they served as what was supposed to be hot entree. The breakfast burrito doled out (rather than let us serve ourselves like at other Best Westerns) was cold and not-edible. The same employee watched and commented on us choosing to get some yogurt, etc. I understand the need to make a profit, but this Grants, NM Best Western is unsafe for women, is frighteningly dirty and the front desk and breakfast staff treated us like garbage.

The hotel has a very good location off I-40 and plenty of parking for guests. We found the breakfast to be ok, but not all that great. They also ran out of food very early during the breakfast hours, which should never happen. Staffing was in very short supply. We noticed that the same front desk worker had to handle serving breakfast and any kitchen needs, all at the same time. The hotel needs to staff up as this isn't fair to the current employees or to the guests. When I requested extra towels from the front desk, they informed me I had to track down someone from housekeeping. Every other hotel, especially during COVID times, has towels ready for guests at the front desk, or will bring it to a guest's room. This was a pretty ridiculous request for a staff member to give to a guest. We also found stains on the bedding in the room. Housekeeping should never, under any circumstances, use stained bedding in guest rooms.

Updated and modern - pleasant if you are on the road and need to stop overnight. Can park right outside room. Breakfast was available including coffee. Quiet and felt safe. Would recommend to anyone in transit.

This property was exceptionally clean and modern. Our suite was spacious and well-equipped. The breakfast area was bright and well laid out. Absolutely the best breakfast experience - good selection and hot food served with a smile. Dog walking areas were easy to access and well-maintained. Easy access from I-40 and good choices nearby for gas and food. We will be back!

Okay hotel, stay was just not the best after we called to tell staff that we left my wife's large counter make-up mirror there in the room after we were a few hundred miles down the road with a pending snow storm, and they could not locate it.

If you have to stay at this hotel, only do it as a last resort. Rooms were dirty and not cleaned at all during my two week stay. The first day that the room was "cleaned" they removed all of my towels and did not replace them. The shower was dirty when I arrived causing me to go to Wal*Mart to buy shower shoes. Hotel was NOT up to standards.

Breakfast was not self serve but one staff giving service to all guests. So when you ask for your food, you need to wait until other guests get theirs and this experience delayed our departure time. Also, the staff who was serving us wasn't the nicest person. I felt bad asking her for different things. As for the room, shower water pressure was weak.

Best western Grants NM is a great place to stay. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I especially like the that you have to have a room key to access the building with the rooms. The office is separate from the room building. Just a little added security in my opinion. You will not go wrong staying here.

Last minute find on my business trip. Super clean room with comfortable bedding. Easy check-in and checkout. Friendly desk staff and great grab-and-go breakfast. Will definitely stay again when in the area and highly recommend.

I stayed in a lot of hotels in my life, high end and low end, and this Best Western was among the best. For the price I like best western hotels especially this one because of the convenience, hospitality, and the professionalism. The key is to keep it simple and keep the guest informed. In the hospitality game that's the key, I Should know I was a waiter going to college. It was clean too. It can't be easy to have a clean room every day. Thanks, Sam

So we were in the one room as it turned out that is a suite. It's the only room not in the main building. It's down a hallway behind the front desk so quite a unique almost hideaway apartment feel to it. Not sure how this room was developed or came about at this property, almost feels like it used to be a manager's private apartment on site or ownership maybe. It has a full size refrigerator and kitchen is very nicely set up. Pretty much has everything one could need and the windows have a nice dark out shade on them except the one that is by the kitchen sink. That window kind of faces out toward a walgreens next door. Really none of the windows have much of a view, but if you can find a place which we did you can park your car out behind the office and see it out the window. Hotel did have a breakfast bar set up and would make fresh waffles and a nice set up though had not been told about it at check in. The hotel is not concerned much about covid. No employees wearing masks which doesn't exactly encourage guests to. That was a disappointment though i know hotels seem to be having issues retaining employees as it is. So overall the room was very big and clean. Was a odd set up but much preferable to being in the main building overall and a good experience if a bit bland in it's design. Definitely not a bad room to have if your spending a couple days going to the parks near Grants.

The staff overcharged me and refused to correct the bill even after I pointed out the correct pet fee listed on the official Best Western website. The pet fee stated on the web site was $10 but I was charged $20. Staff refused to honor the price quoted on the official Best Western website.

Water was shut off an hour after check-in and not restored. Uninhabitable room with no water, no toilet, no shower, no coffee. Asked for a price reduction and was refused. If this room was free it would have been overpriced

Do not chose a hotel because it has the BW brand. This is a fairly new hotel. Walked in and smelled odor right away, system were down, the tenant ripped of a small piece of paper to give me my room. Someone elses clothes were in our closet. The bed looked like it was not changed; the cleaning scrubber was left under the sink cabinet. I had to buy cleaning product and get our own blankets before we could sleep.

This seems to be a relatively new hotel, with oversized rooms, gigantic beds, huge showers, and lots of electrical outlets. The water tastes good here, which is nothing to sneeze at in rural NM. The Internet worked great. The air conditioning was quiet and kept us comfortable without our having to do anything about it. That's where the good stuff ends. They assigned us a room in a separate building, and it appears this was the case with virtually everyone staying here. The best place to park was served by a door that you couldn't open from the outside. You basically had to wait for some generous guest to let you in. When I pointed this out to the desk clerk, he made a feeble effort to appear surprised but then did nothing. Several guests took matters into their own hands and blocked the door open with a Coke bottle. Got the job done, although at the expense of security. The first room they assigned us had a wall switch that you had to hold open to keep the light on. And it also controlled several of the lamps in the room, which meant that none of those lamps were usable. We requested a different room, and the clerk assigned us one in which everything seemed to work. We were able to hear guests in rooms above us walking and talking throughout the night. We both sleep easily and soundly, and it didn't interfere with our getting a good night's sleep. If we were light sleepers, though, we would have wanted to be on the second floor. The hotel seems to be a haven for people with dogs, and sometimes dogs bark. So we heard barking dogs intermittently during our entire stay. The staff wore masks, but not always correctly (what is it with wearing your mask below your nose?), and they made no attempt to enforce the wearing of masks by guests. The hot breakfast -- scrambled eggs, link sausage, and hash browns -- was decent and served by an employee, so we felt safe eating it. We think we also could have asked for a waffle.

It is 235p just arrived in Grants and troed to check in. They would not allow me to check in as it was not 3 and housekeepers are still working. Go back to my vehicle to wait. And the entire housekeeping staff os outside smoking talking and yelling from rooms. This is what I have to wait on. Its a waste of time and way to expensive to be treated like I was. Not here again.

There was hair in the shower as well as mildew. The receptionist was not very friendly when we checked in, but when we checked out the gentleman on duty was much more customer service oriented. When we checked in on July 3rd, the woman at the counter did not bother to tell us the elevator was broken, nor did she tell anyone else. There were lots of people standing there pushing the button and waiting. The hotel is constructed very poorly, thin walls etc. We often stay at Best Westerns all over the world, but this one should have it's BW status revoked. Breakfast was good. The only plus I can think of. I'm really not a negative person, but I teach customer service classes and believe when you're in the business of hospitality, you need to hire the right people and step it up. Dirty rooms, broken elevators and rude receptionists do not cut it.

No one was available to answer the phone. No one was at the front desk for over an hour. There was a suspicious vehicle parked at the pet area.Itvwas very run down looking and the front door was hanging open. It appeared that someone was living in the vehicle and just parking in the lot. I was concerned and couldn't get any help from the staff because they just totally left the building. The whole front area was left unattended for over an hour. I tried to call from the room phone repeatedly with no answer as well.

The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude. The parking was well-lit, and the room was nice. The toiletries were also nice. The staff at the front acted like they didn't even want us to be there. Would not stay again. Stay elsewhere.

Checked in and was given the room right by the side entrance door. People were coming and going all hours of the night, slamming doors and it sounded like they were moving furniture. That lasted til after 1:00 am and then started up again at 4:45 am. Nobody should have to be in a room that close to the outside door. I dropped something on the bathroom floor, and when I went to pick it up, saw how dirty the bathroom floor was. The next morning as we were packing up, we noticed how dirty the carpet was; it looked like it hadn't been vacuumed for about a week. There was cheese on the floor...maybe that explains the ants we found on the bedside table and working table. It was disgusting.

This hotel was perfect in several ways. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very clean and updated. Our stay in what we lovingly referred to as “the middle of nowhere” was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities a traveler hopes to find away from a major town. Once we checked into our hotel, we found there were 2 local breweries in Grant. Both were worth a visit. Leave you to find out for yourselves. Say “hi” to Heather in one and to “Joe” in the other. This hotel was a disgrace. Had no parking spots. Room was ok but coffee maker and restroom was dirty. Staff wasn't helpful. I would have stayed at motel 6 instead of this place. Long story short. I will not be staying at this location.

I pulled in after a 12 hour drive from California, the desk clerk was so helpful and nice, made sure I got my AAA discount, so the bill was more than fair for the most beautiful room I had. Everything was brand new, clean and luxurious. I felt like a queen. Liked the extra hallway, only accessible with key card, for an extra safe feeling, traveling alone. Breakfast was early enough for early risers, hot and delicious . Staff super friendly and helpful there as well. Highly recommend it. Hopefully I'll will be in Grants again one day, just so I can stay there again.

Good location right off I-40 exit 85. Very nice rooms ... clean and fresh ... modern. Nice amenities including a desk and desk chair. Covid protocol definitely in place ... and I appreciated that ... made me feel safe. Now not so good. Shower head was terrible ... low water pressure. Asked for early check in ... but when arrived at 2:00pm was told nothing available ... “come back later”. And ... I had to wait five minutes to be even told that. Claimed they were short of staff ... but observed many just talking in the parking lot? Parking lot is extremely small ... and tight. Number of spaces does not match the number of rooms. Large vehicles or those pulling trailers will not fit. At check out ... 2am ... was told that I would be emailed a receipt ... have never received.

Check in started the bad review. The hotel clerk was very rude, condescending, right out smart mouth. She put me in a room that had never been cleaned, the bed had been slept on. I called told the lady @ft desk she was very aggravated and told me to come back to the front desk to get another room key. I got that key and it was supposed to be a king I got two full size. No big deal however, the outside door knob was not working and took several attempts to get it opened, the toilet wouldn't flush, there was no hot water, the shower curtain and toilet had hairs left behind, the remote for the tv wouldn't work. This is not a recommended stay. You would think being part of the BW chain they would have pop up inspections to insure the care of their brand was held to a higher standard. The real kicker was when I called the BW main booking office before I came to this hotel and asked about the hotel because it was a sister company, the lady insured me that I wasn't going to get a dump! It in fact, is a BW is what she stated, that the same cleanliness, care for detail, customer service was going to be no different. What a dump that's what I got. BEST WESTERN if you happen to read this. You dropped the ball on this location, you really need to evaluate weather or not this is the kind of establishment you want your name affiliated with. I expected better and you know you could've & should've been better.

This is an up to date, clean motel, with comfortable rooms. We would definitely stay here again, when in this area. The only downfall is the sound travels throughout the motel. The people across the hall had dogs who howled for about half an hour!

Great nights rest!!! The cleaning staff was amazing at sanitizing the room. It was so clean it even creeped out our husky. The darn thing wouldn't sleep on the sanitized floor and instead snuck into our bed - lol!!! They also figured out a safe way to do a hot breakfast which was pretty amazing since this area (the Navajo Nation) was a hot bed for COVID cases.

Our stay In Grant s NM Best Western was great. Aside from the sketchy late night Front-desk person, our overall stay was comfortable and the rooms were clean. The bed was so comfortable I almost missed check-out. Thank you for the hospitality.

Great comfortable clean rooms, staff is friendly, I just wish I would have asked for a room not with an adjoining door because in the middle of the night when your sleeping quietly it's not good at blocking voices, Tv, radio and snoring sounds from the next adjoining room. Oh yeah and you can hear then using the bathroom. Make sure you ask to be placed in a room with out that door and where the least amount of guests are staying. My sleep quality would have been excellent without the noisy adjoining room guests.

This is a fine hotel for the value. It's an oddly laid out hotel in that you have to walk outside a ways to get to the office and breakfast. Bed was harder than I like and the pillows were terrible. They kept your head uncomfortable as they too were rock hard.

Pros: it's right off the highway and very convenient for travelers, there is a fridge and microwave, looks like it was painted recently Cons: the pool was drained and closed, the TV didn't work, the air conditioner was blowing smoke and we had to be transferred to another room, there wasn't any soap/shampoo/etc (I had to ask to get some brought to us), the light was broken, there were ants crawling on the nightstand, 3 live (other type) black bugs scattered after moving the alarm clock, the lobby is a separate building so you have to walk out of your building and across the parking lot to go in the lobby (set up much like an older motel is), no carpet (could be a pro or con depending on your preference), and there was a solid one inch gap under our front door which meant you could hear absolutely everything (people 10 rooms down) and the hall light shining in at night

very nice and friendly staff clean little pricey but all hotels prices fluctuate parking is tight trailers beware there is some room but only 2 or 3 overall good place to stay indoor pool only offers 1 rooms with a kitchen

The rooms seem to be pretty new, the beds were very comfortable, the staff was very friendly. We were on the road and called ahead, afraid we might not get a room. We were on the second floor and they did not put anybody in the room right next to ours. It was very quiet. Breakfast buffet is closed, but you can get a bag breakfast if you want. New Mexico is very serious about the pandemic, so you need to follow their guidelines. We would definitely stay here again. The bathroom was configured a little strangely, but that was because the door was so large and needed a big area to open.

Traveled cross country by car to see our son. Requested rooms not occupied the previous night. This was the only stop that wouldn't try to accommodate us, both over 60. The mattress was awful. The in room coffee maker was broken. The staff didn't wear masks. We will not return.

fantastic stay, very clean, and pleasant staff. The one issue I had was the grab-n-go breakfast. I'm diabetic and the options offered don't meet my dietary needs. I didnt speak up because I was a little off put by the way it was presented. Nevertheless, if you like sugar then you won't have any issues.

Stayed here because it is a pet friendly hotel and was extremely satisfied with my stay. The pool and fitness center were closed due to the pandemic but they looked nice. Easy access to the interstate. I would stay here again.

We stopped here in the midst of the Covid 19 situation. The hotel pool and hot tub were open, unlike some other places. The hotel is making the best of a bad situation, which we very much appreciated. Instead of a breakfast buffet, they provided bags of fruit, packaged pastries and bottles of water. We were also allowed to grab yogurt, coffee and tea from the dining area. I would recommend flip flops or house shoes as the floors are not carpeted.

Passing through Grants, we chose this inn since we have good worldwide experience if Best Western hotels and inns ,and this one certainly stood to our expectations. Perfectly clean and comfortable rooms, very well equipped with really good amenities. Certainly rewarding. Extremely good value for money.

I drive from the midwest to the West Coast once or twice each year, and have always stopped in Albuquerque or Flagstaff. This place changed the rules. Absolutely perfect. First time ever I've taken pictures in a motel room of the decor, to show my wife (we're doing some remodeling). Even the breakfast bar, traditionally a weak point at Best Western properties, was outstanding. Great job, guys.

Clean, recently updated room with large tv. Comfortable bed and pillows. Fresh strawberries and blueberries for waffles. We could make our own breakfast sandwiches with sausage and fried eggs with lots of bread, biscuit choices. Cranberry, apple, and orange juices. Nice hot tub and pool area.

we were traveling to Chicago and hit a bad snow storm had to stop and we so happy. Beautiful hotel, room and breakfast we excellent. The girl at the front desk was very helpful and got us a room fast. Will stay here again.

Clean room with reasonable amenities. Towels very thin. The faux wood floor is undoubtedly cleaner than most room carpets. Room air quality noticeable better than most. Noise from freeway minimal. Breakfast is basic, effectively warmed items with few options. Good egg and cheese. Appears to be former Comfort Inn.

Amazing hidden gem! The beds are super soft and comfortable, property was very clean, all remodeled and updated. I would stay here again in a heart beat! I agree with everyone else this place is a hidden gem

Everything was clean and the hotel is recently remodeled; very modern. Friendly staff on our Christmas Day arrival. Located just off the interstate with a gas station and Walgreens you can walk to. Will stay here again in a heartbeat.

For a hotel in the middle of nowhere you would think they would go out of there way to treat repeat customers with a little respect. I am a Best Western diamond member and they could care less. The front desk was more interested in socializing then doing there work. The keys to get into the hallway did not work because she was to busy talking and forgot to put them in the machine.

This hotel by far is the cleanest modern best western in a small town I have stayed in this year. Great staff! Great hotel! I will stay there next time I'm in town. I did however stay in another hotel in town for a night and wish I had not. It seems to me best western makes my stay better everytime.

Bath fixture shot out of wall, hit my 70 yr. old wife in the shin. She slipped,fell, and was bruised. Reception refused to do anything even when I handed the fixture to them.Bedbug was walking on pillow.

We stayed in this hotel because it had received pretty good ratings from other guests. However, our experience was considerably different. The matress in the room was unsleepable, so lumpy and uncomfortable that we were unable to get any sleep that night. The area did not feel particularly safe, either. We will definitely steer clear of Best Western hotels in the future.

Our Oct 8, 2019 stay followed our ABQ Balloon Festival week where rest was much needed as it was also the beginning of our NM statewide 1,500 mile road trip. This hotel just had fresh feel to me as it was super clean and modern. Very comfortable, quiet night of sleeping and woke up refreshed along with the convenient complimentary breakfast. The location has easy access to the highway, gas next door and a Wal-Mart just across the street making super convenient to stock up on travel supplies.

We travel Denver to AZ at least once a year and are forever looking for decent accommodations in a clean area that take pets. We've now purchased a 2nd home in AZ and will be traveling that way more often. This hotel is perfect for the stop in our timeline. Sadly, we will be petless for a bit of time as our sweet dog has cancer. Feel we will still be staying here whenever we can. The front desk woman is so happy and friendly. Breakfast typical of most hotels. Beds comfy. Room spotless. Parking lot well lighted, a good thing after dark. Wondering if they have a pet area with bags that I missed? Overall, a nice place. Sometimes difficult to find when traveling with a pet.

Great location, big room, big bathroom, comfy bed and WiFi good. Only negative the small refrig needed to be defrosted...wasn't cooling. Breakfast was good with different variety of food. The room was very clean! Quick check-in and quick check out.

We used to go to Grants a lot because it was our jumping off point for our tour groups for Chaco Canyon and Acoma. This time we went as touists to see some sights we hadn't had a chance to take groups to. In Grants we always stayed at the Best Western, which became a Red Lion, which became the worst hotel in America and thenn was thankfully boarded up. The last time we were there was three years ago and this time we have no idea they had a new Best Western until we got there. It used to be the Comfort Inn, buthas been changed to BW It has been completely overhauled and in the 10 nights we were on the road, this was the biggest and best surprise of all. Ultra modern, ultra clean, ultra comfortable. It's Grants so I don't know how long it will stay that way, but his place is a must do on your way to a great steak dinner at La Ventana.

We had stayed at another hotel in Grants on the way through going to Nevada, weren't as leased with that hotel, so we spent the extra $30 to get a good nights sleep on the way back. The hotel was clean and comfortable and it was perfect for a good night's sleep.

The property was very clean, modern, well lit. Linens were exceptionally nice (white, thick and soft). Good Breakfast. Staff very friendly, efficient and professional. Facility was close and easy to on/off of I40.

We stayed here a few years ago and since then it's been remodeled and looks fantastic and up to date. It even has a guest laundry. The only negative was the powdered eggs but otherwise the breakfast was very good. We'll definitely stay here again.

One of the best low-mid range places we've ever stayed! Staff was friendly and helpful, room was easily accessible, breakfast was good, room was clean, very little noise, bed was probably the most comfortable we've ever slept on! Reasonably priced. If we're in the area again we'll be back!

So I would have prefered to stay at a different local hotel but they did not allow dogs that were not service animals so This was the next best option. Room was good, bed was a little hard for my taste but not too bad. Water pressure was poor in the shower. Attendant at check in was very friendly and helpful. We had a sign on the door for service attendants to not clean the room due to us having the dog. We still had attendants knocking every day to clean the room, attendant did not speak english and my spanish is very poor so it was difficult to communicate that we did not wish to have the room cleaned because of the dog. At check out - if you are checking out before breakfast is served good luck - I waited in the lobby 20 minutes, rang the bell for an attendant multiple times to get checked out so I did not miss my flight. No one ever showed up to check me out of my room. No bill was under my door to show room charges that morning either. Every other hotel I have stayed at has put the bull under the door after midnight the day of my checkout but not this hotel.

Great location for quick on & off I-40. Great guest room for overnight stay. our room's laminate floors give a clean appearance vs. dirty carpet. Bed was a bit soft for me, and the pillows too big. Gas stations nearby. Left before breakfast time, but was able to grab coffee before we left.

Very pet friendly and our room was extremely nice. The two double bed queen suite. Breakfast was good. We also enjoyed dinner down the street at the chinese buffet which the hotel recommended. Good location but gps wanted to v take me to an old location.

There is only 1 chair in the rooms. No other place for a person to sit. Makes us want to go to lobby to relax....Rooms just aren't comfortable. The rooms WERE very clean and nice and cool. Just not a place you can rekax in until you go to bed.

No reply yet about comping the room due to flooding. We had to take dogs out at 4 am and stay in the car with them, trying to sleep while the problem was being taken care of, which wasn't before we had to leave the next morning. Tired to say the least. As far as what we saw in Grant, NM, the Fire and Ice was a sight to see. We hiked to the viewpoint of a Volcano and then below to an Ice Cave. It was fun but the hike up was. little steeper than we expected but proud we made it.

The stay was nice until we awoke to our barking dogs at 5 am and the room had 1 inch of water throughout the whole room. The mechanical was across the hall and a pipe burst. The night staff was a very young man and while he did his best to reach someone the problem was not taken care of until about 9 am. Then there was not water available to take a shower or clean up with and breakfast was late. This room house should have been comped but we were only given a $20.00 discount. Not what I would expect from a hotel that I am a rewards member and have used many times. This time, just give me the room.

The hotel rooms were very nice, staff very courteous. The breakfast was a typical continental style. Located near I-40 off Exit 85. Would have given a 5 rating, but a water pipe busted on main level, 1st floor flooding the hall and several rooms with over an inch of water around 5 am. Soaking shoes and all other items placed on the floor. Maintenance staff attempted to mop up the water in the rooms. Asked about discount upon checkout and clerk said manager would have to make that decision and he was not available. Waiting to hear if consideration will be given to us for our patience during this event. It was definitely an inconvenience.

This was one of several hotels where we spent the night over the past two weeks. It stands out because of two aspects - the desk manager took great interest in answering our questions about local sights. Thanks to him, we saw a wonderful sunset at the Sandstone Bluffs a few miles east. Our room was decorated tastefully in contemporary colors, and the lighting was very effective in the room and bath.

Maybe the worst hotel stay of my life. Drunks screaming in the halls and a staff that won't address it or refund my money. I'll pull it off my visa when I get home - but what about the night of no sleep while traveling. The hotels itself was fine - but the lack of effort In quieting a loud guest was pathetic. These things may happen on occasion- but how you address it is telling of the kind of business you're running.

We were pleased with the general condition of the motel, the modern decor, and excellent lighting in the room. However, the spa was broken and unavailable, one main reason we booked for three nights. We did get a free pass to the spa at the sister motel across the highway. Dirt was a factor in room and hall way. The Breakfast was just average for a Best Western (blueberries were a nice tough, to be sure). Our key expired after one day causing us to trek to the front office unnecessarily. Otherwise, a nice stay.

Beds comfortable. Food good. Pet friendly. Love the floors with no carpet. Tub size shower stall. Things to do nearby. National parks, volcano climb and ice cave. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Grants is a nice distance from the hustle and bustle of Albuquerque.

My room was clean, quiet and large. The room had all the stuff one would need and it all worked. Check in was easy with no check out needed. The morning breakfast was very good. Great water pressure with very clean bathroom. Reasonably priced. I will stay here again.

Perfect location for resting traveling west with a friend. The view is great and and you can walk a few feet for supplies if needed. The room was comfortable and the tv has lots of great channels. The shower is fantastic.

Very nice inn with excellent breakfast included in the cost. Even more expensive hotels tend to include powdered eggs in their breakfast offerings, but we finally found a place with real, fresh scrambled eggs. Powdered eggs are for backpackers and survivalists, not for hotels. There were several other hot and cold breakfast offerings, including sausage links that did not taste like cardboard. The breakfast was outstanding for a "free" motel breakfast. Thank you! Oh, the room was just fine too.

The bathroom door opened against the vanity making it awkward getting in and out. The faucet on the sink was difficult to operate. Otherwise the room was comfortable. The hotel is located close to the interstate, but do have to make a U-turn to get into the hotel.

I stayed here several years ago when it was another brand. This isn't a new motel but a beautifully remodeled one. My room was very spacious, with a large desk and two chairs, a large flat screen TV, and a bathroom with sparkling new fixtures. The lobby is very large, with plenty of seating for breakfast and two guest computers. I especially like the location, just off the interstate, across from a Walmart and next to a Walgreens. A privacy fence gives some degree of security for parked vehicles. It is one of my favorite places to stay for a relaxing stop when traveling through.

You have to get fully dressed for your coffee run in the morning. The day we were there it was freezing so didn't appreciate when I got to the office they were out of coffee & no one was hurrying to correct it. There is one tiny shelf in the shower that even my razor wouldn't fit on. So you have to put your product on the gross shower floor. Since it was updated from a motel at least the room was clean.

This is a newer hotel. It is clean, well furnished, and makes good use of space. It was a comfortable and convenient stop on our way to Arizona. The breakfast was good too. Scrambled eggs and hash browns were hot, as were the waffles you could make yourself. Would definitely stay again.

The Best Western is fairly new and is nice. It has a large bathroom but there is no place in the bathroom to put you makeup kit as there is only a sink with no cabinets around it. They need to move in a small cabinet to at least hold your makeup bag or some of your bath things. The bed was comfortable but the room was a little cramped. It seemed to be a little noisy when people walked by outside the door as there was a rather large gap between the door and the floor. The breakfast was good.

This hotel is not up to Best Western Standards. We stay at Best Westerns all the time and have not yet been at a worse one. The rooms are small: there aren't even two chairs for two people to sit; no table. The closet is a cubbyhole entered through a sliding door squeezed next to the bed. The bathroom is equally small, no tub, only a narrow shower. There is only a single bathroom switch for light and fan, so you have to tolerate the very loud, cheap fan if you want light. Everything seems cheap: just a throw rug between the beds on a fake wood floor; the sparse furnishings contribute to the hard-synthetic feel of the place. Instead of curtains there is a window shade. The cheap door has a big gap to the floor and lets in the noise and light from the hallway. They accept pets but there is no reasonable place to walk them. The beds are comfortable, but that's not enough to make up for the sparse austerity. For the price one feels a bit taken.

When traveling, the best surprise is no surprise. This is a well maintained, well run, newer Best Western motel. Clean, comfortable room. Efficient check-in, acceptable breakfast. We'd stay here again without a second thought.

Very clean and king bed was great. Desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was very really good but had to walk outside to get to front desk and breakfast area. Only complaint with otherwise excellent remodel was $50 toilet in room. Won't last long.

We were put into an adjoining room: 115-A. A couple had checked in on the other side just moments before us. The guest in the adjoining room was speaking very audibly and my husband's splitting headache caused me to wish for some peace and quiet. The young man at the front desk denied the place has adjoining rooms when I called the front desk. (The "A" printed on our receipt suggests otherwise). I then took matters into my own hands, knocked on the inner door and the guest answered stating she was talking to her father who is hard of hearing. It was apparent that the designer of the remodel was not familiar with optimal room layout. The room still smelled of fresh paint and flooring and our dog began coughing as soon as we brought her in. The bathroom had a very small vanity, the shower enclosure had one tiny shelf and there was only a circular rack for a hand towel with cubby holes for the exactly two bath towels, two wash cloths and no floor towel. We did have 3 hand towels. The room was laid out like a narrow box car and the 300-plus channel direct tv came with no channel guide save an on-line rolling guide. There was a small round table for one overnight bag and the closet held the kind of hangers that fall out if you move them aside. There was no logical place to locate the folding bag holder and the ceiling of the closet was low enough that hanging clothes would not allow access to a suitcase placed inside the closet. The clock did not work - setting the correct time was not possible even for the techno-savvy member of our group. We unplugged it rather than risk an ill-timed alarm. There was coffee in the lobby, detached from the guest rooms. The coffee was cool. In contrast, the beds were very comfortable. Therefore the third star. The room with taxes and pet fee was $30 higher than the highly commendable LaQuinta room we shared the night before. The location was very handy from I-40. There was protein available for breakfast and the eggs quite palatable and the link sausage plenty mild and the hashbrowns were delicious. I was awakened a number of times by the sound of room doors slamming shut.

This is a really new motel right off the highway and near some fast food places. Typical Best Western in terms of VERY comfortable beds, good breakfasts, and cleanliness. Staff is professional and helpful. Breakfast was very good. I'm very happy to see the crockpot type oatmeal and "fixings" (raisins or craisins, nuts, etc.), not so happy to see packaged hard boiled eggs. Only problem. Horrendous glaring all cold florescent lighting, .

Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, shower was awesome. The breakfast, however, was terrible. We came in one hour after it started on a Monday. Everything needed to be restocked. The woman who tended to it thought it was more important to sit on her butt and drink coffee. If a guest has to remind you to do your job, then maybe you shouldn't have it. Plan ahead for eating breakfast out.

We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. It had been refurbished and they did a good job. However, the door was stuck to our room so the hotel staff told us we had to push it hard with my shoulder to open it. I had a coupon when I checked in and they told me it was the lowest rate available. After checking in I found out that the online rate for a senior was cheaper but they would not honor it. The breakfast was good except the scrambled eggs were dried out crumbles.

Nice Hotel. Right off the highway with a gas station right next door and a Denny's across the street. Staff was very nice. The room and hotel was very Clean. Our room was just painted and everything seemed new. The pool is open from 10am - 11pm. The only issue I had with the place is that the lobby is in a separate building so you have to go outside and walk about 200 feet to eat breakfast.

Newly remodeled. Walk in shower (no tub) sliding door. Very nice. Beds were comfortable and rooms were very clean. Parking is accessible via look by or hall door which is great for luggage, rooms seemed quite. Note that lobby/check in and the dining area is separate from the actual building with rooms. Check in and then park at motel building. Breakfast is a 50-75 foot walk. Not bad but different from most. I still would stay there again.

Newly remodeled and done right! Exceptional front desk service. Plenty of parking and easy access to Hwy 40. Very nice indoor pool. Restaurants and service stations close by. I highly recommend this Best Western.

We stayed at the Best Western hotel in Grants NM on our way into AZ. The hotel has been remodeled beautifully. Rooms are great. TV and internet perfect. It had a nice pool and fitness we didn't use. Staff and breakfast was great. No semi parking but well lit parking lot. Would stay again.

This is a newly renovated hotel that is pet friendly.The hotel room was large and furniture was new. The bed super confortable. The floors are a vinyl plank which looks great and with a pet are terrific for cleaning. The breakfast was also very good hot scrambled eggs,bacon,breads ,buns you could make your own waffles,yoghurt and fresh fruit. Very impressed with both the staff and the hotel itself. Great job with the reno Best Western.

I stopped one night in Grants, and I selected the BW Grants Inn. It's an average hotel, it looks new but it's not the cleanest hotel I saw. The room was OK, but insulation from outside noise was not good. Breakfast was basic, with a few choices.

I am glad that we did not write a review on this place the first time we stayed. There was NO wi-fi and we stay on business, so this is important to us. It didn't bother me that they didn't have it as much as they didn't mention it. Anyway, stayed here again and liked it just fine. Clean room. (carpet in hall was dingy though) Really good breakfast.

This hotel is just average - a place to stay for one night, but no more than one night. The quietest rooms are on the top floor (the 2nd floor in this place), but there is no elevator. The office building (where breakfast is served) is not connected to the building where the rooms are so you will need to dress to go outdoors in order to eat breakfast. Breakfast itself is nothing to rave about. The rooms are quiet and the beds are fairly comfortable.

For the price this is the best deal in town. The place is old but the beds are comfy and the breakfast is great. I am so tired of getting a waffle as a hot breakfast! Indoor pool which was a little chilly. Hot tub not so hot.

As a Choice member was I ever shocked by the property. It really needs renovation and definitely . When we arrived another couple who had checked in left. Ice maker on first floor didn't work. Our room was ok except the refrigerator didn't work, it was replaced and still didn't work. Then there was the air conditioner.It banged all night. Have cool air but how were we to sleep!

The room was neat and tidy. We found the bathroom to be very tight. Internet connection was not obvious. Beds were okay. Poor quality breakfast. Suggest some hard boiled eggs or real oatmeal, not packets.
