It was a really good stay. We will be back.

My mom came to visit and booked her room months ahead of time. When she tried to check in, they said they were overbooked and sent her to a hotel in another town (Petoskey instead of Charlevoix). Definitely not what she wanted to do after a long day driving. She remembered later that the parking lot didn't even have that many cars. This was terrible customer service! They didn't even offer her a discount. Definitely won't recommend in the future.

For this price this is a great hotel. Cheaper than the awful nearby Americinn which we had to leave and move to the Charlevoix Inn. My family has stayed at the Charlevoix Inn probably ten times over the last 15-20 years and it's always clean and nicely apportioned. It's not luxury by any means. But clearly the owners care about the furnishings and comfort and appearance. The beds are relatively new and comfortable. The bathrooms are spartan but functional. The bedding is relatively new and clean. The hallways are bright and clean. The staff is nice. The breakfast is fine. The location is good. Definitely recommend especially over the Americinn. My main recommendation is to make all the rooms more accessible with bathroom support bars and higher toilets to accommodate elderly or mobility limited customers.

Bad location. Rooms face the highway and look run down. Traffic to Petoskey or Harbor Springs is horrendous! This place looks so uninviting. We paid for the night, but went somewhere else.

Our room was a little outdated, but comfortable. Price was good and it was close to town. They had a good continental breakfast.

I'm extremely disappointed with this hotel and the response from Management. There is a lack of concern for customer care. I've called Management and have been in contact and emailing Corporate in regards To my serious concerns with my stay here. I had a severe allergic reaction when I was staying in the Charlevoix inn and suites/best western during my stay. My eye blew up like a balloon and was extremely red. I noticed some mold and I'm EXTREMELY allergic to mold. I'm not sure if the pillows had down in them but I had to go and purchase a down alternative pillow, Since I was having an extreme allergic reaction While saying in the room at the Charlevoix inn. Also there was a crack in the entry to the bathroom and I stubbed my toe so badly it bled. This is frustrating because I was there for a very important wedding and was looking forward to staying there. All these issues were extremely frustrating. Very disappointing. It really took away from the whole experience for this very important wedding. I would never say at this hotel again. I've even sent pictures to Corporate with the Mold sports that were on the curtains and ceilings. I try to deal directly with management, but they said that I could be allergic to anything which is not what you'd expect to hear from our hotel that's attached to best Western. I've been in contact with Corporate that said that they've been in contact with the Hotel and upper management haven't heard back and this has been going on since July 4 weekend.

This is a large hotel, easily located on the north side of town. It is about a mile from the town center. There is plenty of off street parking. The rooms are "standard" wtih a fridge and microwave and very clean. The help is accommodating and pleasant. Check in and out are easy and the rooms are reasonably quiet for being on the main street. The kids loved the pool whcih was clean and well maintained. Staff brought us extra towels with no charge. The breakfast room is not large but crowds are avoided by the extended hours of service (6 am to 10 am). I liked the idea of providing laundry baskets for used towels. It kept the room much neater.

Great location for exploring Charlevoix, Boyne and Petoskey. Rooms are kind of on the small side but clean. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was very good. Definitely would stay here again.

My stay at this hotel forged memories with myself and my two daughters. The staff was so warm and caring. The type of feeling I got from them was one you would experience from family members. The happiness, smiles, conversation was so uplifting and joyous.

This was our second stay here. Beautiful location. Our room was clean. Our shower had great water pressure. There is a good restaurant (Jax) diagonally across the street and a gas station directly across the street. We didn't swim, but the pool and hot tub area were also clean. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Good breakfast, pleasant staff and good location to downtown Charlevoix. Minus: the rooms need of updating and the pool area is needs updating. The hot tub was not hot enough. Everything was just not as expected.

I find this property to be a great value. The rooms are nice. The staff is nice and the price is great compared to other similar places in the region. Petoskey, Bay Harbor, Boyne City, and East Jordan are all within an easy 20 minute drive. You're only blocks from beautiful downtown Charlevoix.

Was looking forward to our stay and had paid for a lake view room. At first no one was at front desk because employee was washing floor(this was early evening).When we went to the room it faced the lawn not the lake.I immediately went down to discuss and was told(curtly) that when the hotel was built it had faced the lake but now trees had grown up.Unless the hotel had also shifted over time I found this an implausible reply in addition to her refusal to change the room.We stayed in the cramped room in severe need of updating.At breakfast there was no yogurt and the breakfast employee said they were out and out of most things that I needed to be there by six not nine(breakfast was unti ten) I am frankly surprised at the good reviews.

Such a prefect location! Away from the busy-ness of downtown Charlevoix, but close enough. Friendly staff, very clean & accommodating and a yummy breakfast! Housekeeping was great with taking our trash and linens during the day as we stayed there for three nights; replenishing everything them as well. Very clean pool and hot tub and common/lobby area. Convenient market across the street for whatever you may need. The microwave and fridge really came in handy as well. Amanda at the front desk is super kind, personable, and knowledgeable. She was soooo sweet to my (80-something) parents' 8 month old pup! We can't wait to come back!

I made a reservation for a family trip. The morning of our reservation, I was woken up at 7:00 AM by a phone call from the hotel and was told that my reservation in Charlevoix was moved to a hotel in Petoskey due to an overbooking error. I let the hotel know that I did not want to go to Petoskey and that I had chosen Charlevoix for many reasons. She told me that my room was moved and I was selected because I had booked on the BW website and could get my points at the other hotel. She let me know I had no option to stay in Charlevoix. Since I had young children, was currently on vacation, and had no internet service, I had no other options but to stay in Petoskey. Upon returning home, I contacted the manager of Charlevoix Inn - she passed my concern up to her boss (Marjaree), and told me I would receive a call. I have called multiple times and have not heard back from Marjaree. If want to ensure your reservation is honored and not cancelled the day of your intended stay, I would avoid this hotel.

For the $200 a night we spent, the breakfast was marginal and the sleeper couch (which was needed) was unusable. When we brought it to the attention of the front desk their answer was for us to remove the mattress from the sleeper couch and put it on the floor to sleep. Completely unacceptable.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I highly recommend it to others. I had a lake view room and the view was nice. I didn't see a lot of the lake, but the view was good enough. There are chairs outside in the back of the hotel where you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The hotel has a swimming pool and a good variety of breakfast items.

Stayed here with family. Check-in was smooth. Room was as described. We enjoyed the hot tub. Perfect temp. Beds are comfortable and we did not notice any road noise. Breakfast was ok…not many options, but waffle was tasty. Parking lot is well-lit and we felt safe. Would stay again.

Great dog courtyard. Easy access. Easy check in/out. Nice pool area (hot tub a little too cool.) Rooms a bit worn, but very clean. Our special requests honored (visually impaired husband and Leader Dog, so we wanted a first floor room near an exit). Great breakfast variety. Free coffee/tea/cocoa available 24/7. WiFi, microwave, fridge, TV with movie channels all worked well.

I enjoyed staying in this clean and tidy hotel while skiing at nearby hills. The room I was in was simple but it had everything I needed. I was also working online during the day and the wifi had no problems.

I had surgery scheduled in Charlevoix and had to be at the hospital at 6 am. Charlevoix Inns and Suites advertised as pet friendly and I have a Service Dog. We booked a Queen room. When we got there and to the room we were surprised to find a full size bed in a tiny room. When we asked at the desk the staff tried to tell us that Queen beefs were different size for motels. This was an out right lie. The room is clean, but extremely small. The bathroom being barley 3 feet wide with a pocket door. The room itself was about 15 ft by 12 foot with an Amour, desk with a tore up chair Microwave and refrigerator. I would not recommend, and never will stay here again.

While attending a family wedding, stayed in a room with no closet and an armoire that could only hang shirts, no room for my wife's dress. Phone was not working and they couldn't provide any wake up call till maintenance was available sometime in the next day. Pricey for the facilities provided.

Stayed at 3 Best Western's on this trip to Michigan. The food is predictable and, well, a little disappointing for people who are healthy eaters. HERE the hard boiled eggs were gone, we came late. But we asked and they were refilled (yay!). But other choices were all suger or even worse, high fructose corn syrup laden. The service people where very friendly and helpful so no issues with them. Its just the choices. You did have no sugar oatmeal but NO toppings ;-( Rooms are small but clean and as long as we didn't get a pet room (first one they gave us), it was clean and smelled fine.

Room was not updated but clean & furnished w/fridge & microwave. "View" was paid for but a strain to see! In other words the "with view" price point was a stretch. Think I would look around for my options before returning

First, there are no suites. The property is poor condition. The "lake view" is maybe a sliver of the lake from only a select number of rooms. Worst of all, the management is corrupt. We have now been charged three times and were forced to dispute multiple back charges. CORRUPT

My husband booked on Bookings.com. He didn't read the reviews on TripAdvisor. We stayed the night on our way back home from Beaver Island. Did the Mushroom House tour. NO VIEW- Bookings claimed that the hotel had a view. The only view is out on the back lawn where there are some cheap white plastic tables with no shade. Our room didn't have a view. None of the odd numbered rooms have one-just the parking lot. Some even numbered ones have a tiny sliver of a view. ROOM- The room was small with the sink in the room. The toilet/shower room was teeny. The toilet backed up in room 231. The door looked damaged and there was no extra hinge closure which was off the door completely. The alarm went off at 6 am. BREAKFAST- The breakfast was not to my liking for $229. (Inflated rate due to the Venetian Festival.) CLEANLINESS - OK. Seems clean enough. LOCATION- About a mile from town so you have to drive in. Thankfully we were only staying one night. Sorry we didn't just do our tour and get on the road back home since it wasn't a relaxing stay.

I booked a queen room with a view. The first room we were given overlooked the parking lot. So I went back to the front desk. The clerk said Booking.com has the wrong information. And it said a view, not a view of what. So you got a view of the parking lot this time. She said because I was a disgruntled customer she would change rooms. The second room, also has no view. Well unless you move to the far right side of the window and see a little gap between the trees. Actually I can't believe any of the rooms have view in July.

Great personal experience for my wife and I. The friendliness and desire to make our stay enjoyable was obvious. Nice room, nice view of Lake Charlevoix, nice breakfast, nice people, good rates (October, so non-peak season). An hour away from Traverse City, an hour away from Mackinaw Bridge. 20 minutes from Petoskey (1/2 hour ? from start of Tunnel of Trees North of Petoskey) . Will definitely stay here again whenever we're in the area. Really enjoyed the trip. Thank you, Jeremy, for making our trip so memorable.

Rooms are very small and overpriced. They advertise lake view rooms for which I paid for could hardly see any water from room. When we asked to go up on a higher floor to see lake we were told no. No shampoo in shower which is very small . Breakfast not enough food was out . just was dirty in general.

We recently stayed in July 2021 for 5 days. This place is run by Best Western and it was absolutely one of the worst hotels I have stayed in my 50 plus years of traveling. Mold in the shower everywhere, paint peeling every time we used the pocket door, lobby was never vacuumed with dirt galore everywhere, the baseboards in our room were all pulled apart from the wall. Because of the COVID, the room was cleaned only once every five days. We had to leave our trash and towels and sheets outside our rooms to get fresh linens. We had to stop at the front desk to get kleenex and toilet paper. I have stayed at multiple hotels during the year and half of COVID and never had any of these issues. When they finally "cleaned" our room, they maid service didn't even vacuum up the peeling paint. It was disgraceful. I have photos but I couldn't get them downloaded. DON'T STAY THERE.
