Best Western Downtown Casper Hotel

Do not stay here! Lobby is the only good thing about this place, it is deceiving. Rooms need updating badly. Hallways dirty and need repair. Mold in bathroom Beds okay. Restaurant next door is very good. Sat outside with our dog, enjoyable, nice flowers, good food.

We always stay at the Best Western Downtown, we always have a great experience. It's clean and comfortable, the staff is great. The breakfast is unbelievable, it was so good we went back to the restaurant for dinner. This will continue to be our go to hotel in Casper.

Stained sheets, internet doesn't work, and rooms were just disgusting! The first room they put us in was like a motel 6. The ac did not work and was struggling to survive, and the second room was just as bad. I was so disgusted by the room and bed! I asked for a new sheet and slept on top if it.

this hotel used to be my #1 go to hotel i have been a customer for 4 years, however my last visit will be just that "my last visit." this hotel may look pretty but the management and housekeeping are a joke. twice i was put in the same dirty room, dirty linens were on the bed trash on floor, i had to clean the room myself with store bought products, pool was locked for no reason when asked about for my child no one knew the answer, a.c was broke and front staff failed to mention this upon check in, lounge was dirty, fire alarm went off at 3am with no fire.. reported all to gm no response, talked to assistant gm and no remorse nor compensation or an apology at all. what a joke this hotel has turned into... DO NOT STAY HERE...

Staff at desk were not friendly. The TV didn't work and the front desk was unable to help. The carpet in the room was very dirty and looked to not have been vacuumed. The tub/shower was in need of repair - the caulk was yellowed and very dirty. The water in the shower wasn't hot.

Had to request a new room as the first had mold in it. When I told them, the response was "huh, I didn't realize it was that bad." They did find me a new room, but no apology and they obviously knew it was an issue based on their response. Definitely a disappointment!

Nice to all be in one place, finding guest rooms can be confusing so it could use more signage, facilities need some updating, but the staff was absolutely wonderful. Sad that the pool's hours were shortened, and the food was average when last year at the same conference it was great.

What a series of stupidity. Management of this hotel should be ashamed. We reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights. When we arrived they gave us our keys and we went to our rooms only to find that one of them was already occupied. They moved us to 2 new rooms. One of the new rooms was full of Weed smoke, so they moved us again. The next morning both rooms were filled with Weed smoke. They then suggested that they move us to a Suite of 4 rooms. We moved and thought everything was good. We left for a family activity and when we came back the key to on of the rooms would not work. We went to the front desk and they said they had rented that room to someone else. We got that straightened out and then they said we were being billed for a room that we hadn't rented. We go that straightened out and left the next morning early so we didn't have to deal with any more errors. Not sure how so many errors can happen. But it was no surprise to management that there was weed smoking in the hotel. I would avoid this hotel.

Definitely stay at the Best Western in casper wyoming. The breakfast are amazing. The service and the staffare great and well 10 to all your needs. They have biscuits and gravy. Eggs, country style, potatoes, bacon sausage toast yogurt fruit plates and even a bloody mary if you so desire.

Went for a conference. Conference room was very cold. Heater in room not working - probably still in AC mode. Staff was very nice. No closed captions on TV. No elevator but staff helped bring luggage to upper floor room. Windows very dirty but could be due to extensive construction by the hotel. The sandwich buffet was very good and the tomato soup was delicious. The salmon at dinner was very dry and the veggies overcooked. The creme brulee was very good. The beds and pillow choices were fine.

Great location in the heart of downtown. Coffee shop next door. Restaurants, bar and pool tables on premises. No waiting for complimentary breakfast. Bar area with plenty of booths and tables. Full Bar, appetizers or regular menu available.

Three team members provided outstanding service and deserve to be mentioned. Tony and Sharla from Banquets were exceptional. It was evident that both love their jobs and are a perfect fit for customer service. Not only did they work with me to ensure the success of my event, but they did it with a smile. Working with a team that is passionate about what they do is refreshing. Brooke from Sales was absolutely amazing. While every event experiences hiccups, Brooke was always available and truly listened to my concerns. She took proactive steps to resolve issues and came up with some creative solutions. Even though not every part of the contract could be fulfilled, Brooke took on the challenge of finding acceptable alternatives. Her apology for others' mistakes felt very genuine. I truly felt valued and heard. Brooke's professionalism has laid the groundwork for a strong working relationship, and I'm excited about the prospect of hosting future events at the Best Western Downtown Casper.

Worst hotel experience of my life. Very disorganized, assigned us to an occupied room, other rooms were full of smoke (this is a non smoking hotel, but I guess they do allow Weed smoking). Then they locked us out of our room, and gave it to someone else with our belongings still in the room.

Wow!! What a terrific hotel. While it is older, the rooms and amenities are great. The rooms are clean and it seemed very safe. The restaurant was outstanding. It is brand new, the menu is extensive and the food was great. All the people in the restaurant and at the front desk were so friendly and personable. When I am traveling through Wyoming next, i will coordinate it to make sure that I stay here again. I will bring the family next time.

I've seen Motel 6 that were nicer. Had this been called a Motel & cost 1/3 of the price I wouldn't complain. There was MOLD around the bath tub, I'm sorry did I type was? I'm sure it's still there. It looked like the bathroom was cleaned just lazily without any attention to any detail, as was apparent in the line of dirt and grime around the edges. The carpet is covered in stains. No part of the room looked trustworthy to walk on barefoot. The desk chair was Filthy & dilapidated neither of us would sit on the disgusting thing. Even with the sound all the way up we couldn't hear the TV, so bragging about all those channels is laughable. What good is HBO if when I put The Batman on the dialog couldn't be heard? There were bugs in the room; spiders & flys. You can see the outside world through the giant gap at the bottom of the back door which leads directly outside; probably how the bugs kept getting inside. One bit my son, I'm salty about that. And when our lovely neighbors parked in the spot directly in front of our room, backed in, and sat there idoling... I bet you can guess where this is going...uh huh right in our room. It's a smoke free property, so all the smokers stand or sit around outside smoking and we could often smell it in our room. As far as the front desk staff go, while they were accommodating when I asked for towels, a roll of TP, or the hot water in lobby to be filled (yes, I had to ask & wait every time I wanted hot water) They were not friendly and seemed annoyed to be bothered. I often had to stand there and wait and wait to ask for the hot water to be filled and I noticed as I stood counting off the wasted minutes of my life that are forever gone that they offered bottles of water to everyone except for us. Was there something special about us that we didn't seem like we would have appreciated bottled water? It's okay we went to the grocery store and bought our own. It's just 1 more thing that made me dislike our stay at this crummy hotel. We left after 4 nights, neither of us could stand the thought of 3 more nights in this horrible "hotel", the Marriott is sparkling clean just FYI .

Old motel! check in was interesting and poor instructions on finding our room, no elevators, room smelled like smoke, floors dirty, shower had hair and used soap still in it. Parking limited at night, lots of interesting people out and about at dark when we arrived, However it was the only place with availability the night we came through so no option to leave. If all you need is a bed for a few hours then this is an option but I wouldn't stay there again.

The hotel is so nice! I love the ease of access. If you travel with an RV or Trailer there is a lot of oversized parking. The fist floor rooms are great for pets. The breakfast is made to order instead of a buffet style. It is so good!! Rooms are very clean.

I had to book rooms for our Bus Service and developed a contract with the Sales team. Juanita, Alyssa, and Brooke were amazing to work with! They were so friendly, helpful and went out of their way to answer any questions I had. It was awesome working with them!

Comfortable beds, fluffy pillows, newer big screen TV. Front and back entrance to rooms is convenient. Boston Pizza open late attached to the hotel. Near lots of food and shopping. Fast wifi, spacious rooms. Really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to others.

Improved in all areas, I was dreading my stay but was pleasantly surprised. The place looks better, has better customer service, everything worked in the room and it was clean and comfortable. The pool is indoor and thus hard to keep properly balanced. I skipped it as there were too many small children and water toys for me to be comfortable. All in all, I recommend it. I got a good downstairs room when I showed up despite the hotel being quite busy. Great for a Saturday night summer visit.

Staff was great. Front desk girls were awesome with us. We will definitely stay again. We were there for medical reasons so it was a solemn occasion. But as I said before the whole staff was great with us. Even got sick while I was there & the staff made sure we didn't need anything. Thanks again.

Clean rooms, nice new restaurant it has everything! Service was great and very friendly staff at the hotel and in the new restaurant. Price was right where it should be for a nights stay. Close to all the amenities to down town. Easy on and off access to the interstate.

Very comfortable bed, and a very clean room. Breakfast was at the next door restaurant, and as a hotel guest, it was free. Super friendly staff, especially Jessica at the front desk who helped me get a very comfortable, and quiet room. A great stay ! Definitely recommend this hotel !

Excellent service, clean rooms & a good value. I made several requests and spoke with multiple front desk personnel during a 3 night stay, everyone was friendly and helpful. Loved that the property was pet friendly. Room was quiet and bed comfortable.

Wonderful property beautifully set and lots to look at and enjoy. The breakfast is one of the best I have experienced and I am quite the traveler. I spend on average 65 nights a year in hotels. This is a wonderful destination type place and worth the travel.

A great hotel, easy location & fabulous amenities! We really liked size of rooms, staff, pet-friendly rooms & layout.

Big, older hotel with potential. The staff is helpful and kind, but the hotel is old and in disrepair. The walls seem thin because you can hear people around and above you. The carpet was old with staples sticking through. Some plugs didn't work to charge phones. Outside, there was a lot of construction going on so it was difficult to rest. With updates, it can ve a nice place.

I was hesitant to stay here after reviews on Google and TripAdvisor complained about cleanliness, old rooms, and rude staff. But this place was great! We stayed 6/8/24-6/10/24 and found everything exactly as described on the hotel's website, everything in working order, and updated as much as an older hotel can be. While right off of I-25 and near (not visible, but near) a railyard, it was totally quiet inside the room. And it was near a great mini-golf facility and a walking trail along the Platte River. Very nice for morning and evening strolls. No, it's not the Ritz so amenities and finishes aren't top notch. But they work and are not gross. The A/C did take a while to cool down the rooms but only because it was a small unit for one of the biggest rooms I have ever had at a hotel. I set our thermostat at 67 because I like to sleep in the cold and it did cool down to that temperature. The windows were double pane vinyl windows and kept the outside noise out. The doors were solid. The beds were comfortable and the linens were all sparkling white. Was the fridge an older model? Yup! But it stayed cold and did it's job and was clean. The ONLY complaint is that the sofa bed in our suite had a stereotypical sofa bed mattress in that it was not at all soft and you felt every bar and spring. That really needs a change, but I won't dock them a rating because unless people bring it to the attention of the hotel, how are they to know? And we didn't say anything. It worked fine for our 11 year old kid. Just something to consider. The staff was so accomodating and friendly and hard working. We were there when the hotel was completely sold out (I was told that by their manager when I inquired of additional rooms for friends). And they clearly were. People everywhere, the check-in line curved around the lobby and the front desk clerks were working hard to go as fast as they could to get everyone taken care of while still being friendly. There was a large Irish dance festival/competition happening at the hotel with many participants staying at the hotel, the College Finals Rodeo was in town, a minor league baseball team was in town and staying at the hotel for a weeked series, and there was a youth baseball tournament in town. The staff had their hands full but greeted everyone with smiles and tried their best to do whatever they could for everyone I saw them speak to. The breakfast was good with lots of choices and even with this giant hotel sold out, they never ran out of food the mornings we were there. Honestly, we were incredibly impressed. Yes, it is a Best Western so don't go there expecting the highest of the high end everything. But for a budget friendly hotel it was nicely decorated, clean, safe, quiet, and welcoming. We definitely had the best hotel experience of everyone who was in town from our team for the youth baseball tournament and honestly we couldn't have asked for more. Perhaps the hotel staff all put on their game faces and rallied because it was so exceptionally busy, but I was impressed with the quality throughout even with so many people around. If we come back to Casper we will stay here again. I am not writing this for compensation or at the request of the hotel. Rather, I wanted people reading these reviews to know that this is not a hotel to shy away from as the bad reviews seem very skewed after my experience.

Our room was nice, the staff were very helpful. We were there for a dance competition which was handled well by the staff.

Stayed here for the marathon. There was supposed to be a group discount that I didn't get. When I checked in I got a room and when I finally found it (the signage is awful) the room hadn't been cleaned. The marathon expo and pasta dinner were at the hotel but the front desk staff knew nothing about it. The room was OK (clean at least) but the bathroom door couldn't be fully opened because it bumped up against the shower curtain rod. Very noisy.

A/C was not working. We were moved when the "maintenance man" took one of the TWO thermostats in our room off the wall and parts broke off. The second room had no A/C either. My parents came back from dinner to a 78F degree room and were told by front desk staff to - and I QUOTE - "So open a window". Pops immediately contacts the customer service number found online and was offered to be booked into a different Best Western at HIS COST. What a joke.

Nice reception when I arrived, then some driving around the house, parking right at the room. But, the temperature was too cool for my taste and I tried to make it a bit warmer with the wall-based thermostat. No effect, in fact the temperature even dropped by a degree... Nevertheless, I had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was excellent, before I had to leave again.

I was excessively loud and was removed from the property by the police. I also noticed a suspicious looking man whom I believed to be a danger I followed him and did a safety check behind him, I upset another customer by doing this, I reported this to the front desk and I went to get alcohol and immediately after I consumed a few ml I went out into the hallway and began to yell and scream. The police were called and I was trespassed thank you I am pretty sure I picked up on something during this that really was out of my control! I loved reading my religious books and the staff were very helpful and kind. I want to apologize publically! Thanks again

Our stay was very nice. Room was clean and mostly up to date. Nice big room king suite with separate sitting area and bunk bed room for kids plus 2 small bathrooms. Breakfast was also great lots of fresh options and real bacon and eggs cooked fresh. Staff was very personable and courteous.

This is my favorite motel in Wyoming. You can use the fitness room, or walk along the river for exercise. The breakfast is really excellent! There is plenty of parking for large vehicles. Access to major highways and the road to center city are readily available

Hotel rooms are dirty, smelly, pool is very dirty, no elevator, room keys worked 50% of the time, poor lighting all around. Breakfast area not marked, homeless people hanging out in and around lobby in the mornings getting coffee etc. Beds are very uncomfortable. I have stayed at motel 6 that was better then this place

A big sprawling hotel very close to the Freeway, and a short walk into town. Reception was pretty good. The bar was empty and would have looked better with more people in it. It had no windows, which is fine for a bar, but it was an awful, dark place in which to provide breakfast. The booming TV didn't help, either. Breakfast was as you'd expect. We booked a suite. The bedroom part was a good room; the sitting room was sparse, unattractive and lacked colour. The bathrooms are badly in need of an upgrade, and the ceilings are very low. The cost of the rooms was excessive ($175), and not worth it….a bit exploitative for little effort

I have been staying at this hotel anually for a 10 years now and this was the most accomodating staff that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The Sales Director wore many hats during our stay and helped us in every one of those positions. The staff was pleasant and ready to assist.

Check in was fast and easy, staff was very friendly and helpful we had questions with our best western points and Cindy helped us out. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great! The bacon is soooo delicious!

This was the warmest heated pool from a hotel that I been in. It was absolutely wonderful! The breakfast buffet was a nice I perk with plenty of options. The staff was friendly and helpful. The renivations were very nice.

The outward appearance may fool you but this gem here will be my stop each time I pass through. Nice clean rooms, very friendly and welcoming staff and really good breakfast. Try it and experience it yourself. You won't be disappointed. Oh, and it's right by the highway too!

Room was clean. Had an issue with HVAC, but was corrected quickly. Bob was awesome. Breakfast was very good and staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. There was some construction on the property, but overall the price and value were very good.

The good. People were friendly. The bad: Rooms smelled old. You couldn't get towels, the room service staff said they run out of towels all of the time. The lounge didn't open until after 7:00 on the weekend , which is fine I guess, but they knew we had a major fishing tournament that weekend and that at least 20 of were stying there and would be coming off the water earlier again not a deal breaker. The TV remote wouldn't work. The heat wasn't turned on in the entire building.

The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. It was very quiet during the stay even with road construction outside. The breakfast had a variety of good options. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

We stay here every year for an Irish dance competition held at the hotel. It's a bit older but they recently renovated and everything is clean and fresh. The rooms are large and have comfy beds. There was an issue with kids running in the halls and the management put an end to it right away. We love this hotel and will definitely be back!!!

Check-in time was 3:00 pm. We arrived at 3:15 and had plans scheduled thereafter. In spite of repeated assurances that the room would be shortly available, it was not actually made available until 5:30, ruining our evening plans. Also, there were no elevators to our room, requiring hauling suitcases up stair cases.

The staff was the friendliest i have ever encountered. Twice, one even walked us to our room to locate it . I was grateful they have pet friendly rooms. The dining area and motel itself was beautiful !! The dining area was superb and the breakfast was good. My only complaint was the gravy hd to much pepper for me but i am sure they don't make it home made. The bed was clean. And the room was too although i did have to clean the remote. As with all motels the housekeepers may have missed something small but nothing to complain about. The only thing i noticed was the bathtub didn't drain well and i forgot to inform them. It is easy to get lost in such a huge motel. I would not hesitate to stay again or refer it to a friend. Thanks for allowing friends

All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, and doing an amazing job, all things considered. The hotel seems very dated. Our room had a strange smell when we first went into the room. We reported this and someone came straight away to check it out, although they couldn't offer any solution except an air freshener. We left the door open for a while and switched off the air-con, which helped. I liked the idea of having two doors, one out to the car, and the other to the interior of the hotel. The swimming pool was large and we enjoyed our swim. Breakfast was nice, plenty of choice, an attractive sitting area and attentive staff. We ate in the bar in the evening. The food was just about okay, although in fairness I think they had been shut for a while, and were just opening up. They had a comedy open mike evening whilst we were eating. It was awful, and I'm pleased I didn't have children with me as the language was bad. I'm not sure if it regards itself as a hotel bar, or a hotel for locals. Overall I felt it didn't quite know whether it was an hotel or motel. I believe there was a part of the hotel that was being refurbished, so hopefully, eventually it will improve the whole place.

Excellent stay here ! Great location along the North Platte River, and restaurants and things to see are all nearby. It is just off I-25. My bed was very comfortable, the room was good, and parking was free and easy. The breakfast in the morning was amazing ! This is the best hotel breakfast I have had in many years. Everything fresh, and lots of choices. Launa and the gentleman running the kitchen did a super job !

ALL of the hotel staff was amazing! So nice, helpful and accommodating. The hotel was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. I am looking forward to staying there again on my next trip to Casper.

A clean hotel, comfortable bed, terrific service. Grace was awesome, understanding and accommodating. We asked for an extra blanket and she gladly took care of us. I travel regularly and have had so much bad customer service, this was pleasant and how it should be. Highly recommended.

The staff at this hotel are amazing!! I stayed here on business and I was really impressed with every aspect of this hotel. I would like to give a special shout-out to Cindy and Grace at the front desk . Also to Launa in the kitchen for the great food and service. You ladies ROCK!!!!

The kitchen service was awesome Launa was extremely helpful especially with all the kids we had to dish out food for. I really hope y'all recognize her for doing an amazing job. The hotel room was comfortable and fit everyone and our things as far as hotels go this one is really nice

This is our second stay here and both times have been great! Grace and Cindy were wonderful front desk assistants. Also Ricky and Hank went out of their way to help us with such great customer service. Thanks again guys! We will be staying again!

Fantastic staff here, they really do a lot to make you feel comfortable. The property has plenty of parking which isn't always the case for a downtown location. The breakfast buffet is top notch and thier coffee is excellent. Comfortable beds and quiet. I stay often when I'm in Casper.

This hotel is not handicap accessible. (I was not aware this was even legal) No elevators, no working ice machines in the entire hotel, lighting in the bathroom is non-existent. I was there with my aunt who had just finished chemo. This was supposed to be a celebration that turned into a nightmare . The experience was exhausting and I am just trying to save others the misery of an experience like the one we had.

This is an older style building, with access from both inside and outside. Some may not like the outside access. That aside, it's an older hotel with some updated aspects. It's comfortable, both bed and pillows and air conditioning. Beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. It served its purpose. Kids enjoyed the pool time. Breakfast was fairly good, better than some chain breakfast with only premade or prepackaged food. Made the reservation for a stopover after a long day of driving. Arrived really late, but no problems or delays with getting checked in. Had an issue with the room, they immediately got me into another one. No complaints about their service. Everyone was very nice. The only criticism I have is the wear of different textiles and finishes. The main hallway carpeting was worn and stained. As well, some cleanliness of the bathroom. Buildup of dirt around corners of floor. Also, a lack of attention to detail on room condition, light bulbs burned out, towel bars loose on wall, doors being difficult to close and lock. So all in all it's decent but could be better with a little effort.

Defiantly not your typical Clarion standard. Told it was bought out by Best Western. Went to first room booked, bathroom door was locked, not able to open. Floor was dirty with pea gravel size rocks, pulled back the sheets and it didn't look like it was cleaned after last stay, long black hair in bed and on pillow. Went to front desk and was booked another room. While the staff was booking second room, it appeared a homeless couple entered the lobby, went over to the coffee bar, poured a glass of ice water, then walked through the Hotel. The second room was better. Food in the bar was ok but limited because of the new owners and using up old inventory as told to us by the bartender. Don't thing I will be staying there again when in Casper!

We checked out of the Hilton Garden Inn and stayed at the Best Western for 2 nights and I'm so glad we did. For $112 we booked a membership rate and received a suite that was bigger than my first apartment! Recently renovated, well appointed, and dog friendly, this hotel also comes with a complimentary breakfast buffet that is well stocked and delicious. The only negative and reason for not giving a full 5 stars is because the living room furniture in the suite was probably the most uncomfortable we've encountered. You guys spent all this money on decorating and sprucing up the place but my back has never been sorer sitting on a couch or the chair. I'm pretty sure IKEA furniture is more comfortable. Might be something worth checking into, at least for your higher priced suites. Otherwise our stay was nice and we will definitely consider staying again if in Casper. Thank you!

Stayed on a Friday and was able to check in smoothly. Room was spacious, semi updated. Bed was a little firm, however pillows were fluffy. Water pressure was nice and hot. This appears to be a massive hotel. Price with taxes ran around $140. Breakfast is from 6am to 10am. Overall, pleased with the one night we stayed.

Very nice hotel in its price range. The rooms are very large and clean. The staff is friendly as well. Only the breakfast was not great. The breakfast area is nice, but there was no milk, tea or cereals.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND SLEEP ON SIDEWALK OR THE LOCAL TRAILER PARK. That would be a better option than being accosted by the front desk staff. Sam at the front desk is the most rude, trashy person I've ever encountered. The poor front desk manager tried everything she could to stop Sam from screaming at us because she doesn't know how to check in a third party booking. I've never been so humiliated in my life! I would avoid this hotel and SAM at all costs. Sleeping in the car would have been preferable. Clarion should be ashamed of the substandard employees that they put at the face of their hotel. My husband videoed this encounter and has sent it to the corporate office.
