Best Western Plus Hotel Canet-Plage

For my second visit I was very well received at the reception and my dog was very well welcomed. Outstanding breakfast with enormous variety to choose from and great service. Great location easy parking. Second visit and we will definitely be coming back.

If you are looking for a superb 4* hotel just across the road from the beach then look no further than the Best Western plus at Canet-en-Roussillon plage. Chantal, Stanislas and all the team front of house, the people in the restaurant and all the support staff are friendly and incredibly helpful and will do what they can to answer all your questions. Just opposite you have a great crazy golf with two courses , which if you go before 4pm you can play both for the same price as one. The beach is well kept and the sea very safe for children as it is shallow for the first 20 metres or so. Excellent restaurants and bars nearby so give it a try :-)

Worst experience ever, they gave us a room beside the staff storage. So from 8am it was ongoing banging doors, moving stuff in and out and this on a weekend to relax. Super unpolite night shift staff. Dirty bathroom with hairs sticking on the tiles.

Nice hotel , nice rooms, splendid location and views, good breakfast and staff. It is near shops and restaurants, and on walking distance of the port and Town center. This beach is very beautiful and not full of mass tourism. You easily find a place there. Mini-golf and parking are also quite nearby.

We really liked this hotel; it's right on the ocean. We paid extra for a room with a balcony overlooking the sea, and it was worth it! The staff was very friendly and helpful – especially Camille at the front desk. The room was bright and a decent size. It was quite clean and had two comfy chairs as well as a mini-fridge and coffee/tea-making equipment. There was a goofy bathroom set up with the toilet in a separate room and only a half wall in the shower. Breakfast was overpriced, so we ate elsewhere – there are lots of options. There were several English-language TV channels. There were quite a few good restaurants within walking distance, including the one right next door to the hotel, O'Cosy Gourmand, which is run by some hotel employees. We'd definitely return here.

Great location, nice arrangement, nice 6th floor room, quiet, would recommend at least in June since no idea how crowded July and August can be. Welcoming, gracious, english speaking staff. Walking distance to market place, restaurants, aquarium etc

The hotel has been renovated with style. Very good breakfast with a lot of choices and all of very good quality. All staff very friendly and helpful in all our requests. The room was big and especially the mattress was really comfortable. Prime location with a great view right in front of the beach.

We had a room in the 5th floor with view etang and a nice balkony. The room was freshly renovated, well eqipped and in modern style. Due to Covid breakfast was served in the room at no extra costs. They served all you need, fresh fruit salad, egg, bacon and all kind of bread. The personal was very helpful and friendly.

Great location and stylish boutique hotel. The staff were welcoming and really helpful. It is situated at the quieter end of the promenade so quiet peaceful. The rooms were very clean as were the communal areas. Individual reversible air conditioning was welcome. We had a room with a sea view which was lovely especially watching the bad weather roll in. As it was December we did not make use of the small balcony. We were a 10 minute walk away along the beach from the main square and any number of restaurants. I would have given a 5 but I had two small niggles: 1 no real makeup mirror - I find it awkward using the bathroom especially as there was nowhere to plug in my hair straighteners. 2 only two milk portions but 4 coffee portions. I know if I went and asked in reception I would have got more but it I was ensconced in my white fluffy bath robe. Would certainly recommend this lovely boutique hotel and will return.

BW Canet-Plage hotel is situated in a really nice and quiet area close to the seaside. When arriving at the hotel it is easy to find a free parking spot on the main road just a short walk from the hotel reception. From Carcassonne airport it is an easy journey to the hotel (c80 mins drive). The check-in is very efficient and you got what you ordered. The room itself is very clean and very nicely made up including the bath and toilet. From the room you have a beautiful overview of the ocean (if you ordered a room with see view as you should). From the hotel it is about a 60 second walk to the Balearic sea for a nice and refreshing swim. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Over-all, we are very pleased with this year's stay, our second at the BW Canet-Plage and we are already planning for next year.

This hotel in Canet Plage is in an excellent location opposite the beach, we have a sea view room, which is an excellent view looking over the mini golf. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I have no doubts in recommending this hotel, the rooms are clean and modern just as pictured with flat screen tv and mini safe, excellent bed and pillows. Planning to return next year.

If you want a sea view in a decent hotel at Canet, this is the one. As you'd expect from a BW, it provides a good room and a good breakfast. In summer you're not likely to get a parking space close by until the evening, but that's not serious - the street outside has ample space and empties out quickly by 6 pm

Wow! This hotel is a true definition of a 5 star service. The employees are simply wonderful. All with smiles, so warm and welcoming, nothing is to much to ask. Thank you all! The hotel is very well located with beautiful, direct views of the Canet beach and a little golf course just opposite. Many restaurants and shops are situated along the main street. Even though it is such a busy place, our room was very quiet and we could sleep very well. As for the size of our room, yes, it was rather small but still nicely furnished and with a comfortable bed. We had our two very big suitcases on the floor and we could move undisturbed so there was no problem at all with the size of our acommodation. The sleep comfort was very good. The rooms are air-conditioned, so we could set the right temperature for a pleasant atmosphere. We also would like to mention that our room was very clean thanks to the two ladies who worked on it every morning. Overall, we really had a lovely stay. The only suggestion would be to provide more TV programms in English. As there were only two Non-French programms and with the weather being bad, we wished we could watch TV and actually understand more of it ;0).

The hotel is situated right opposite the beach and Min-golf course. The views on the sea side give directly onto the sandy shore whilst the rear rooms have views of the town which nothing much to write about except that the sun shines right in during the afternoon so sunbathing is possible from the small private balcony.

The staff at this hotel could not be more helpful. Every single one of them would pass the time of day and made you feel very special. With its position on the promonade, it was well positioned for a gentle stroll to the numerous restaurants that surround it. If you don't get a sea view, don't worry. The view from the back of the hotel towards the lake and mountains is just as good. We loved the breakfast which was a good choice of english and continental I would certainly stay here again when next in the area

Perfect location just on the beach, close to restaurants and a long nice beach. Easy to find and to park the car. The breakfast was all that we could ask for, wide variety and very cosy. The staf and owner were very attentive and helpful. The rooms were beatifully decorated with lovely views. We booked very late and got a room facing away from the sea, but just as lovely with a balcony. Will come back for a lounger stay.

I first came here in 1988 when it was run for a good 15 years by M. Bartes. This always was a lovely hotel and looks like it still is. We never had breakfast in as we would walk up to La Liberte for a coffee and croissant. I had some of the best holidays with my late parents here growing up and I would love to come back with my family, planning for July 2019, so on this basis I would recommend.

We could park conveniently in front of the hotel and were friendly welcomed in the Best Western Canet Plage. The hotel is very tastefully renovated. We had a room on the third floor with sea view. Again: the room was modern, spacious enough with separate toilet and bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Most enjoyable stay!

Stayed at the Best Western for 3 night recently and really enjoyed this hotel. Stayed on the 5th floor - lovely spacious, modern bedroom with a very effective air-conditioning unit. Lobby and corridors in this room are all well maintained and staff were very friendly. Location was incredible with the beautiful beach directly opposite the hotel. Only point for improvement might be the possibility of offering an inclusive breakfast at prices charged.

The location is great. The beach is right across the road and there is mini golf next door. A few minutes walk takes you to the vibrant town centre where there are many restaurants. The room itself is well decorated with a fantastic shower and the air con works great. The wifi does not work! In order to catch our early bus to the airport, we went to reception the night before to pay for our stay. They could not take the payment as the card machine needed wifi and it did not work. We went down early next morning and the wifi was still not working. They then wanted us to pay by cash. We explained no one has that amount of cash at the end of their holiday. They then asked us to walk to the town to get cash from the ATM. This was in a rude manner. We explained it was their problem, not ours. They then quoted us 100 Euros more for our stay. Luckily, we had the quote from booking.com and also the man at reception the night before had printed out the correct amount so we new this was wrong. The woman was extremely unprofessional. All of this caused us to miss our bus to the airport, but we did end up arriving on time for our flight. They need to get decent wifi as not only did this not work during our stay, they could not even take the payment. Even more worrying is that they use the same unsecured network to take card payments.

Friendly attentive staff, clean comfortable room, Nice little balcony with a great sea view. No kettle in room but free hot drinks in a little lounge area by the lobby. No parking provided but free parking outside- if you think this might be full you can put '4 rue des coquillages' into a satnav and you'll end up directly behind the hotel in a little hidden square with more parking. There's very effective air conditioning which you don't need to leave on while you're out. Shame the heat from the unit blows out across the balcony, not a big deal. As usual Ibis can't provide hot bacon and eggs/sausage for breakfast I don't understand why it would make such a difference. We arrived late at Perpignan airport and the car hire had closed. The taxi to the hotel cost 60 euros one-way. The following morning went back to collect a car and it only cost 2.60€, one bus from behind the hotel 'Coquillages' line 6 get off at 'Wilson' in Perpignan (stops are shown on a screen) then from the same stop wait for line 7 to the airport. So, make sure you arrive at the airport in the early afternoon at the latest if you need transport.

The hotel is located on the sea front and the rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. The bathroom and separate toilet were well laid out. Breakfast was very good, and despite a large party of cyclists one morning, staff replenished the food quickly. Overall a nice hotel to stay in.

We reserved a room for 2 adults and our 3 year old son, being the maximum per room in theory. We originally planned to leave our 1 year old at home (grand parents). But as this did not materialize, we wrote to the hotel inquiring if we could come with the two little ones still sharing one room. Hotel refuses to respond to my email request. Resend 2 more times, getting "email read" notifications. Still no answer. So we decided to cancel the reservation. What can you expect of a hotel treating their customes-to-be like that?

We have booked at short notice for Holiday in southern France. Location is perfect to enjoy this area of France and the nearby beaches. Hotel and staff are OK and we had a clean room. Indeed bathroom and toilet may need some fresh up but we were not disappointed. We had a room to the back but had a good sleep during five nights. Another highlight is the breakfast, fine bread, cheese and freshly made orange juice. If busy not much space in the restaurant but we had no hurry. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only problem in high season is parking. On street parking is nearly impossible and your car may have some French souvenirs. Our tip there is a multy story parking a few Streets from the hotel, minmum hire is one week at EUR 65 in peak times and EUR 35 in low season. if you stay some nights it's a bargain and your car looks the same after your stay
