Everything was perfect. Nice clean, comfortable room, friendly helpful staff. Appreciated the comfy armchair, side tables, and dedicated desk space. Things you take for granted until they're not there. Quality of TV wasn't great but that's not how you choose a hotel
Worst Hotel Experience Ever! LOOK FOR A BETTER PLACE, AND BETTER OPTIONS I would give this place zero stars if I could. My stay was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The room next to mine had a constant party going on — loud music, people shouting, and god-awful noise at all hours. To make things worse, the guests were openly drinking, smoking tobacco, and causing chaos right outside my door. This wasn't the entire night. The staff and management couldn't have cared less. They allowed the noise and disruption to continue despite multiple complaints. When I spoke to the manager about the party and the unacceptable behavior, they just shrugged and basically said there was nothing they could do. Clearly, they don't care about guests or providing any kind of peaceful environment. They're only interested in letting the party roll on, even if you've paid good money for a relaxing stay. It's obvious that they have no authority over the guests causing the ruckus, and it's clear they don't value their paying customers. If you want peace and quiet or a place that actually respects its guests, DO NOT stay here. There are plenty of better hotels around that will treat you with respect and ensure a pleasant stay. Honestly, don't waste your time or money. It was a complete disaster.
this is MR kim won Tae 2024.10.2~10.06 i had stayed please my deposit money refund to me why did not refund yet k80601@hanmail.net
We booked in for a Ringette tournament and were very impressed with this property. Very clean and check in process was easy. I was VERY impressed with the breakfast buffet - not your usual fair and looked forward to it every morning. Very friendly breakfast staff as well. Great place to stay.
Beautiful and clean environment... Great customer service and if room is available you can check in earlier. Also breakfast is amazing. Easy to assess different amenities around and much close to Airport. For your Therapeutic and Relaxation Massage after long trip, just give a call to Mpire Massage Clinic & Spa @ 403-453-9498 to book for appointment. Just few minutes drive, and thank me later. 😃
Excellent location with very close by amenities such as grocery store and strip mall. We're impressed how clean the room was. It's 20 mins drive to cross iron mall and 14 mins from the airport, The only problem encountered is one of the elevator is not working,I would definitely recommend this hotel
A beautiful upgraded room along w/ a bottle of wine and a lovely card was very unexpected and much appreciated by my husband and I as we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. We selected this location because it was where we spent our wedding night 40 years, 4 sons and 7 grandchildren ago. The experience was perfect. Thank you
This is our choice of Calgary hotels every time we visit. It never disappoints! Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms exceptionally clean. Close to shopping and a variety of restaurants. We were upgraded to a premium king room , absolutely fantastic, spacious and great city view from the 12th floor.
I was placed in a room on the second floor and was woken up by a loud party hosted by the hotel on the first floor. I asked what time the music was going to stop and I was told 1 am. I've stayed in many high quality locations that host potentially loud events. They either have strict noise curfews or they do not book guests untreated to the events near them. Apparently this hotel does not see the need for that curtesy.
Room was clean and had a nice area to complete work from the day. Food was fast and well priced. Staff was friendly,I will definitely stay again when I'm back in the city. Would recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant stay while in Calgary..
We have to changed our room three times from 11th floor to 5th floor. Maintenance guy was the one who helped us to figure out which room we should be going and did not hear anything from the receptionist. Not a pleasant experience when you have a little one with some luggage.
Great staff! A beautiful hotel with great amenities . Comfortable spacious room. We had the best sleep in weeks. As BW Reward clients the price was within our budget. Our needs were met & we took advantage of everything this hotel had to offer!!
Staffs in the hotel are nice and friendly, the room is clean and settled. Good for traveling and the price is decent. I have encountered a little problem with the stays, and the staff was responding quickly and help me with problems in the satisfaction way.
No issues! clean, good service, comfy room, and the shuttle was great for the airport. Close to the c train for the stampede- this was pretty easy and affordable. Must have enough mobility for at least 15 mins walk to and from the train tho. A few homeless ppl at the train station but not bad.
The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable. Easy access to internet, charging equipment. The fridge could have been a little colder, but that's really nothing to complain about. There was a swimming pool, and wish I'd brought my bathing suit.
Im a die hard BW hotel fan. I truly dont like staying anywhere else. However I can honestly say this was the worst BW I have ever stayed in. Same price as other BW( we stayed at one previous night to this one which was a 10 and loved it but had to move to be close to hospital a family member was in), however this location doesnt offer free breakfast like every other BW I have stayed in, the room had trim taped on to hold it up, the air conditioning didnt work, and when maintenance came to "fix" they looked at thermostat and gave us fans in 35+ weather, bathroom had rust on ceiling, missing a comfy chair in room and they gave us a conference chair to fix that. Comfy chair we did have was ripped and smelled foul... need I go on?? Find another BW... this one was definitely not worth the value!!!
Great location easy access off and onTrans Canada Highway. Three tour buses parked outside when I arrived so hotel was busy but staff handled things very well. Room was a good size and bed was comfortable. Parking lot is rough and needs to be resurfaced.
We had a great conference using this facility. Our International Accountants Conference was held here, and the experience was excellent. All participants enjoyed the hospitality, courteous staff, and clean environment. It was a memorable experience for, me, especially
Staff was very pleasant. Hotel was also very clean as was the room. My biggest disappointment was the bed. The mattress was very old, it felt like sleeping in a bowl as it sagged so badly. Breakfast was poor with powdered eggs and a staff that could not keep the food refilled fast enough. At one point there was no juice/water/milk. More staff was needed. The same restaurant had wonderful supper meals however.
Best of accommodation experience in Calgary. Room cleanliness is top notch Staff were quick and very friendly We had an issue with the lighting in our room, the front desk were quick to offer an alternative room and very quick to get back to you either in person or via the door phone.
Excellent room, restaurant and breakfast good choice and service. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Excellent position for catching the train to down town Calgary, or going up to Banff and the lakes. Would definitely return to this hotel in the future
Usually my stays at a beat western have been excellent. The breakfasts are great, the rooms are clean and if anything is wrong the staff literally go out of their way to make sure you are happy and that everything meets a standard of care. This place while pretty, fell short of my expectations by a fair bit. The beds were clean, but hair on the toilet and in the shower and a hand print on the wall of the shower was a bit gross, the air conditioner just shut off part way through the night, and they have limited shuttle service which they don't tell you! So if you have an early flight... good luck take an Uber.
We had an enjoyable stay at the Premier Best Western in Calgary! Amenities, staff and restaurant/ lounge were all nice and appreciated. Close access to lots of things to see and do! We appreciated the Best Western customer appreciation very much during our stay Thank you! Mark C
The hotel was in a convenient location. There was lots of parking. It get safe going in and out of the hotel. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable.
If your are celiac this restaurant is as good as it gets! By far the best beds and clean rooms we've seen! Next level customer service and welcoming team!
Although this hotel was farther away from the airport, they offered a shuttle for $5/ person The beds were huge, and comfortable with very modern bathrooms There was a kettle microwave and a fridge which would be handy for a longer stay The onsite restaurant was great food and reasonably priced
Bed is comfy Washroom is clean Pool is nice I love the idea that there's a kettle and chamomile tea inside the room as I am a tea drinker. Staffs are friendly. There's enough space to move around inside the room. Lots of parking spot. Overall, we had a good stay.
Great Hotel, location is close enough to downtown prices are great and the rooms and everything are new and clean. The breakfast restaurant is also really good.
We have stayed at this hotel a few time over the past two years. It is very nice and clean. Enjoy the cleanliness of the room and the space.
We have been coming here on an annual basis for several years. Food and service above expectations. Hotel clean and staff very helpful. Beds are great and slept well both nights.
Best hotel at an affordable price with an amazing staff. This hotel really exceeds our expectation in term affordable pricing and cleanliness. The staff are very friendly and helpful with answering all related questions.
very clean, maintained place with clear directions from the front desk when you check in and as well when you check out, building is secure after 11pm
The front desk staff set the tone for the worst stay I've ever had. From being uninformed to unprofessional, we felt like they didn't want to help the customer enjoy their stay one bit. There was a conference group of us that had to have rented out at least 50 rooms and yet never felt appreciated.
Last time I'll be staying here, one problem after another. Didn't stay 5 hours, never again. "Someone will call you". Why can't the employees at the front desk do anything but give you the brush off? One guy lied about being at the front desk, the security guard woke him up for me, he says that didn't happen. Boil water in kettle came out very dirt, I had to wiggle the cord to make it work. I don't feel like my room could have been cleaned. $140 night, the front desk lying to me caused me to cancel my next 2 nights stay, leaving at 5am for a nicer hotel. Calling this a "Premier" best western is laughable.
I didn't stay at the hotel but I ordered a meal and beers I the restaurant. The food was delicious and perfect portions. And the cheesecake omg was to die for. Jayden was my server. She was so friendly and helpful. We had a couple fun chats. I'm glad I was able to make her laugh.
Very clean, managed and friendly, knowledgeable staff. The best feature is the secure elevators. If you do not stay or have someone who stays there you cannot use the elevators to access the rooms. Comfy beds and room amenities. Thank you, will come again.
Great sleep. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Definitely a stay that I would recommend for anyone wanting a good night's sleep with clean comfortable beds. Stayed by myself and felt very safe and comfortable at this hotel. Family or solo this is great
We enjoyed the stay overall. Everyone was extremely helpful and very kind , We. Appreciate how they made sure everyone was taken care of and our needs were all met. I like that I was able to use my visa debit in an emergency. They were very accommodating when we needed them to help us .
Excellent customer service. Awesome job for cleaning the room. Amazing staff. They always help me with a smile. When the staff see us they always treat us with respect and greet us by saying "HI" . Definitely I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Had the pleasure of staying for 5 days for business reasons and from the check in to check out a superior experience due to the courteous and professional staff at the hotel. Well appointed rooms and décor as well as a great selection of amenities that made the trip comfortable, everyone should take the opportunity to stay here when they are given a choice of location or hotels.
Was not very clean floor not vacuumed had to ask for coffee and soap. Could hardly see through window dirty. Asked for management and he called then asked for general manager he refused. I had a card from front desk for general manager left message no call back. I would not stay again.
Attended a recent weekend convention - great space for hosting large events. The food was enjoyable - both in the banquets as well as room service and resto. There isn't much around the hotel to take in - but wasn't a huge deal as I was only there for the weekend meetings.
Got the zoo package as we were visiting. The breaktast makes it worth it. Still a bit pricy but what can you do. Hard finding carts so if you have lots of kids, good luck taking everything up the elevators.
Had a great view and very friendly and professional staff The room (a suite) was super clean and comfortable. I wish that the last time I had a business trip I had a room half as nice. We were delayed at the airport and missed the last shuttle run, but the staff paid for the cab
Was fortunate to stay at this hotel for a conference. Very clean, quiet and comfortable room. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever experienced in a hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed at Best Western Premier Calgary before and after Canadian Rockies tour. We like the hotel location even though it's not located at downtown area. There are few shopping malls and restaurants with walking distance which is quite convenient for tourists. We appreciate the spacious room size and configurations especially after trip ended. Most of the Rocky Mountain hotels were really small and a bit dated. Best Western seems just remodeled recently. The hotel is feeling new and staff are all kind and efficient. With reasonable rate that included breakfast buffet, this hotel is a good stay for whoever consider visiting Canadian Rockies.
Beautiful modern hotel, very clean, spacious room, I can go on for days about the bed..the best night's sleep we've had in a very long road trip! A/C is very silent, love the lighting in the bathroom, great fitness room with top of the line machines…pool was crowded so we didn't go but looked really nice. We would stop here again on our next visit to Calgary!
Recently stayed at BW premier in Calgary, with my daughter. Hotel rooms, pool, hallways and restaurant are clean. rooms were spacious and didn't really hear any noises from neighbour or hallway. They offer great hotel packages, I recommend looking into them, as one suited our holiday needs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a large amount of outdoor parking area (no fee). Breakfast offered a variety of food. Pool was a bit on the smaller size, however it was clean and proper water temperature.
Our car broke down leaving Calgary back to Saskatchewan, had to take into closest dealership. Beat western was closest hotel, we did not know if we would have to stay 2 nights. Aiden at front desk was amazing, and helped us. I was able to use government rate as I am a government employee. Because this was a non budgeted stay the discount was appreciated and he gave us 2 free cocktail vouchers since we weren't driving. We were able to check out the next day and we were refunded the extra night we did not need. Aiden made sure we were looked after.
Comfy bed and well appointed room. We enjoyed our stay. The area of the city the hotel is located in doesn't have many things nearby to get to on foot, you def need a vehicle or taxi/Uber. Staff were friendly and the room was clean. We will definitely stay again.
We stayed 1 night on our way from bc to Saskatchewan and I will be back!! The front desk service was friendly and helpful and on my way up to our room I was struggling to carry up all of our luggage and playpens for our babies and one employee stopped on his was out and came back in and helped me carry some stuff right up to our room!
Hotel has been totally redone and is a relaxing place to spend a night. Beds were very comfortable and amenities in the room were everything you needed. Excellent meeting area for conference or convention.
We stayed here for one night on our way to Banff. It was a nice hotel, clean room, and a comfortable bed. What more can one ask for. The hotel is kind of close to the airport and also close to a nice supermarket, starbucks etc. We did not use room service or eat at the restaurant.
It was a very comfortable hotel with a very attentive staff. It is out of town but well connected by the Skytrain. The rooms are spacious and clean, well equipped with the usual amenities. A number of reasonably priced eating places nearby. The staff offers a number of useful tips. Was done up well for the Stampede.
The room was spacious, the staff friendly and responsive and the location was great. I encountered a problem with the shower head. I hadn't walked 3 feet from the desk and I heard the front desk agent contact maintenance. By the time I returned from breakfast the shower head had been replaced.
My family and I (wife, parents, 4 yr old son) thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were here to see the zoo, and this location has a great package that comes with tickets for 2 adults and 2 kids, plus free breakfast (good quality buffet) all at a very reasonable rate! All staff was very friendly and helpful, the Hotel is very easy to get to and within only a couple blocks of a C-train station. The Barrington restaurant within had great food too! Highly recommended! Will definitely stay here again next time we visit Calgary.
The bathroom was extremely inaccessible for a wheelchair user. The doorway was aprox 28 in wide and I couldn't get in completely because the toilet was in the way. I had to brush my teeth in the hallway.
Very friendly staff, clean rooms, pool was nice , hot tub is small but does the job. Hotel is nice and big ,breakfast was very good , lots of choices , foodservice was nice . Got the food hot and the serve was very nice. Was only there one night for the zoo package. Definitely recoomend
Great staff. Pet friendly. Was a quick stay. But I would return if I was in the area. I was unable to use the pool as we were moving. But it was a feature that attracted me. As well there looked like a good breakfast set up
The hotel is a great hotel for the price. The reception staff were very courteous and responded very well to inquiries and requests. The conference rooms are well spacious and the hospitality is very good. The rooms are equipped with a mini fridge, and microwave are also available in the rooms. The checkout process is very quick, and they meet all my expectations.
The title sort of covers most of my thoughts on this Best Western. The lobby was pretty filthy when we checked in, so they need to mop more often, and none of the hand sanitizer dispensers had anything in them, indicating neglect. We got the breakfast included with our room, but that doesn't seem to be the case for everyone, and they were charging a whopping $18 a head for rubbery eggs, tasteless fruit salad, and toast. While most of our stay was lacklustre, the staff were all very friendly and was the only silver lining. Oh, and they limit the number of devices you can connect to their wifi.
I I am happy with everything, all the employees are just super Also I am very grateful for the fitness room The location is also convenient Nearby there are all necessary shops and so on. In general, everything is super
Superb hotel location. Service and complimentary breakfast is great. Lots of great spot like asian store available nearby. You can't go wrong booking with this one. Great experience and we are pleased everytime.
For 4 nights stay we're disappointed and we didn't expect those kinds of staff in One Big Hotel., Cause I used to work in one big hotel in bC and we didn't experience like a negative stuff like what we experience….…….
The hotel main area and dining room was spotless, as was our room. The staff were super friendly. The bed was very comfortable and as requested we were quite away from the elevators. Overall, one of the nicest and cleanest hotels we have stayed in.
This is our go-to hotel if we are going to Calgary and have to bring our dog with us. They are one of the remaining hotels that are not only welcoming to pets, but give your pet a gift bag! Travelling without a pet, well this is a great hotel for people too. Haha. Comfortable rooms, comfortable beds, always clean, heating/air works well, and the staff is friendly, welcoming, efficient, and professional. We've never had a noise issue - people or pets - on any of our stays. The pool and hot tub are not large, but they are a refreshing place to use and relax. We live three hours out of Calgary and if we need to go to the city this is where we stay. We love the location, T&T Foods, Ohmomo, Bianca's… lots of place to shop and have fun. Jolibee for chicken and an amazing plethora of various Asian cuisine is available at walking distance. There's a large mall, Sunridge, just a few blocks away.
The hotel room and bathroom were clean and well maintain. Confortable beds. They have an adicional charge for an standard breakfast. The front desk young lady was nice and helpful. Our only complain was a rude waitress at the restaurant, and the next day at the breakfast another one was speaking too loudly to the customers (not rude, but an uncomfortable loud voice).
Room 1031, tower B. Stayed 1 night only, trade show held at hotel. The good: Very clean and spacious room, with latest renovations (though bathtub enclosure) seemed to be kept from prior renovation. WiFi worked better throughout property than several Hilton hotels I've stayed at recently. Great and comfortable bed. Great reception crews and staff that was helpful with every request I had. The bad: Location isn't the greatest, next to a car dealership and car repair shop. Although on the 10th floor, was able to hear machinery in the middle of the night. Also, not within walking distance to restaurants. Water is not provided complimentary with the room, that's a shame. And finally, the in-house restaurant is good with sandwiches but the pizza, well you decide if a shoe sole is better, perhaps the worst I've had in a while. The thermostat in my room was a relic from the 80s, maybe even 70s, and not effective at keeping the room at the temperature desired. Overall, this is a great place, well run, and would gladly stay again despite the minor annoyances.
We had a great 5 day stay at this hotel, visiting Calgary, friends and family. Very relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel and the staff were very accommodating. Area was close proximity (15 minutes) to downtown. Very enjoyable stay.
Stayed here for a conference and the rooms were exceptionally clean and always equipped with all the amenities without asking room service for anything Beds were comfy and really enjoyed the pool & hot tub!! Great hours of operations and very clean as well ‘
Second time staying here. Excellent customer service. Hotel and rooms are spacious and extrememly clean. Beds are extremely comfortable, firm, but not too hard. Restuarant/lounge on site was very good food and we had a coupon from front desk which was nice for 10% off.
They charge for breakfast and the key card never worked, the front always busy. Other customers agreed with me they would not stay here in the future I was extremely disappointed I could access the pool area also because of the key card not working. Even after being replaced. Long line at front counter because of poor staff or under staffed
Comparable to the Best Western Plus and very affordable. The staff are amazing, the rooms are spotless and the food is delicious. The location is easily accessible and central to main arterial roads. This is a first class hotel in every way. Had a king-size bed and had an amazing sleep.
Great experience, everyone was professional and welcoming. We loved the pool too! Breakfast was great, no complaints. Have been there 3 times now and its great every time. Staffing is great and everything is clean
The hotel is pleasant, the staff is kind, and they make a light cleaning on the second day of stay upon request (they could have done as well beds). The restaurant is very good and we have been served by a very kind named Jehanne. The location is not very good far from center in industrial outskirts of town, no good without car. We stayed 2 days and ir was quite good stay.
Great choice for a family vacation, value is amazing. Included zoo package for the family and breakfast which had so many hot and cold options. Kids were thrilled there was a pool (and hot tub) and less than 15 minutes to the zoo. 5* from us!
Great experience at this hotel. It was easily accessible off the east end of 16th Ave and the Trans Canada Highway. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, my room was clean and quiet. I'd definitely stay here again
I was visiting Calgary in order to volunteer at the nearby casino. From the friendliness and efficiency of the check-in staff, to the modern / new décor, absolute cleanliness of the room (and everywhere else), comfortable bed, I was completely satisfied with my visit. The only quibble I had was that the restaurant seemed short staffed on Sunday night, as, after a fruitless wait for a server, I left to go get something at a nearby fast food place. But my other meals in the restaurant were excellent, including the very friendly / personable servers.
We stayed here for 1 night to visit the Calgary zoo. We really enjoyed the zoo stay package and the proximity to the zoo. Great hotel and great value. Rooms were clean, elevators were fast and always available. Pool was nice. Breakfast was delicious. No complains.
We've stayed at this hotel a couple of times. The hotel is very clean and the staff cheerfully try to address any problems you might encounter. If people are talking loudly in the hallways, you will hear them as in any hotel. However, after people have gone into their rooms, it is very quiet. The only thing I wish would be that the restaurant and lounge were two separate areas. Very good value for price at this hotel.
This was one of the best hotels that I have stayed in this summer. We have been to 3 hotels in Calgary since March and by far this is the best. Everything was clean and ready to go. I think in the 3 we stayed in this was the only one that had the bathroom fan clean.
Hotel was spotless with friendly and efficient check in staff, ready helpful and pleasant. Pool and hot tub were great too, lovey cool pool after the hot day driving to Calgary was a welcome relief!! Great free parking and we were able to leave our car there the following day which was brilliant.
Clean, friendly employees. Requests were promptly addressed. Beds were clean and comfy. A buffet breakfast was included, which we both looked forward to, and enjoyed. We will certainly return to this hotel in the future
We were visiting and going to the zoo so this location was very central for us. Also it had the most comfortable bed my daughter and I have ever slept in. Asked for the brand to get one when I replace my current.
Spent one very pleasant night while on our Prairie Memory Trip. From check in to check out, we had a wonderful experience. The bed was great and gave both my wife and I a very restful night's sleep. There was no problem with the air conditioning unit in the room being too loud at night. In fact I could barely hear it run. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is conveniently off the main highway and near a number of places to eat, which was good because we were driving across country and convenience of location was important to us. Staff was friendly, room was clean. Didn't eat there or use the pool or anything, though. It was good for what we needed.
Hotel was very loud. It was a Sunday night and an event was going on at conference center. The guests were rude, crowding and pushing us when getting in elevator. Guests were Loud and drunk coming and going to event. Finally at 4:30 am we just got up and left and started out drive to BC. We stayed the night to go to stampede. Next time I would stay at a cheaper hotel outside the city this was most definitely not worth the price.
We stayed here for one night, after landing in Calgary. The check in staff were fantastic, really friendly and personable! The room was very clean and large, which was great for us, as we were 3 adults. Beds comfortable. However, the room was very hot and even with the air conditioning on full, this did not really make a difference. Also, there was a party going on right under our hotel room, which was incredibly loud and not what was needed after a 9 hour flight! We could have called and asked to be moved, but by this point we were too tired and had already unpacked. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and this was faultless. Fantastic quality and choice and the service was superb!! We had enough time, after check in, to use the pool and hot tub. These were a welcome condition and kept clean. We would stay here again.
We were there for a wedding in the hotel. The wedding was at 3:15 pm in the garden court. We asked for an early check in since check in was the same time as the wedding started. We were told it was $45 a room for a total of $90. We opted to just get ready in the bathroom and check in at 3. When we checked in- our rooms weren't ready. We had to haul all out things back out. We had two young babies with us and a lot of stuff. We put our things quickly in our truck and ran back to the wedding. When we were able to check in at 6:30 pm some of our bags were stolen. We lost the wedding gift, a wallet and an irreplaceable family heirloom. The hotel was not helpful at all. We were told a manager would contact us Monday. This happened Saturday. Then they tried to charge us more than the wedding prices and it took a lot to get them to honour that price. Sunday morning housekeeping started banging loudly on our doors at 8 am. They woke everyone including the babies. They wanted to know when we were checking out. We said 11. They came back at 8:30 and asked again. Then came back at 9:30, banged on the door and asked a third time. Same people. It was frustrating to be woken up once but 3 times was outrageous! Check out is 11!! Why are you at my door at 8 am? And why 3 times! I wouldn't ever stay again. They had no sympathy and offered no help whatsoever for our lost luggage and items, there was just a lot of excuses about being busy. If we had been able to check in at the time we paid for- we wouldn't have lost items we can't ever replace. Lost a lot of clothing, a wallet we have to spend the time and money replacing Id etc and money in it. We didn't even get to use the room for the sleep we all very much needed after a stressful day before and some quiet time after a wedding the hotel very much profited off of- since they woke everyone up. We chose to stay here since the wedding was at the hotel thinking it would be more convenient to Get ready and have a room To use for the babies. We'd have been better off to stay somewhere that was willing to let us get ready in our room, check in at a normal Time. Have secured parking, and maybe cared a little more for their guests. We might also have been Able to sleep in… a drive somewhere else would have been worth it for sure.
We loved the deal that got us breakfast for family of 4 and zoo admission for family of 4. I feel like the location and the price, along with the cleanliness and the friendly staff and the great pool/hot tub made this an easy choice. But more than that we were really really pleased with our stay here. Our baby had a spit up on the bed and your staff was so kind and quick to get us fresh linens, no hassle.
Excellent facility with very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was tasty and met our needs for the day. Good value / Clean Premises and Kind Staff ... what else could you want. The beds were comfortable and the family slept well. Which keeps everyone happy.
The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff friendly. The property is located near the airport and kind of feels like it is in an industrial park. It was a good stay and I enjoyed it, so I don't want to come across as too negative. The hotel is a 10 minute walk of the light rail system, which I used since I was sick of driving my car. It is a quick trip to downtown Calgary. The room itself is spacious and well maintained. perhaps a bit sterile feeling, but comfortable. I would recommend this property. I don't think i will stay at this particular property again, however I do recommend it.
The smell of smoke was hard to take even though it is a smoke free hotel and front desk did not address the problem. They said they sent the Security Guard up to check in which he said he could not smell smoke. I asked him in the lobby and I said the strong smell of smoke is still there. So he went up to the second again and now he could smell smoke. I believe he did not even go up the first time or maybe he is a smoker and could not smell the smoke. My wife and I have never smoked and smell was unbelievable strong and with going in and out our room the smell eventually came in our room. All the front said to me upon checkout was they were investigating it. We stay at Best Westerns a lot and have 5 nights booked in BC and now Deb if I should cancel and look for a different hotel.
Service was great, employees were all very very nice. Restaurant staff were great and engaging. The rooms were clean. The disappointment was that the pool was closed & my daughter was disappointed. There was also no computers for us to use, although front desk did offer to look up anything we needed, as well as to print it out if we needed.
We loved our stay in western Calgary. Such a beautiful property. We will be booking western for our future trips. I highly recommend western due to their rewards program - you can redeem your points on any vacation in future.
The experienced and helpful staff made a welcoming experience. I attended a conference at the facilities and the amenities were very satisfactory. Food was excellent and the beds were very comfortable.
Excellent hotel with coffee maker, microwave and frig in the room. Very good friendly service. Fast checkin and checkout. Only issue (minor) was that the key stopped working and had to be replaced. Otherwise I was extremely satisfied.
Hotel was nice and the rooms were appealing. Really enjoyed the breakfasts and meals at the restaurant. Hotel was a bit busier than we would have liked due to a conference during our stay. Staff is very cheerful and hard working, especially the restaurant staff.
Check your towels upon check-in, as we were not given enough sets, even though our booking was for four people; saving grace was the beds, bedding and pillows were very comfortable (fluffy, but firm enough); would have appreciated a “How was your stay” or even a “Thank you”, upon checkout, but all we received was “You're good”. For a “Premier” hotel, we expected more attentiveness. You want to feel special, that you selected their hotel, during these pandemic times especially. We were also a bit bothered that they called us on check-in day, to see if we can switch to 1 King, instead of 2 Queens, when they should have known we are four adults booked (?). That was alarming to be asked, when one is trying to enjoy a leisurely vacation. Of course we said “No!” And wondered if it was because we used some travel points for the booking, so we were treated differently (?). Regardless of how the booking is done, all clientele should be treated equally.
Came to this property for a conference and the one thing I can say is thank you for genuinely taking care of me during my stay. The staff at the desk makes you feel at home, the restaurant staff made me feel part of their family! Karim the General Manager you are a true inspiration to this team, thank you for the tremendous hospitality during my stay! Until the next time.
I was in Calgary for a conference and this hotel accommodated our group meticulously from start to finish. Great attitude and service from the team members make a difference and they were fantastic. The room was immaculate and food was delicious! Would highly recommend this hotel for all types of travellers. Thanks to the hotel team for a very pleasant stay.
Handicapped door not working upon arrival. Women's washrooms both in restaurant and in pool change area not Accessible. Pool access requires you to manage multiple steep and wet stairs so also not accessible. Room was not cleaned until after 7:30 p.m. following 2 ohi e calls and a visit to front desk.
Beautiful room booked at the last minute with help from a contact who raved about this hotel .Turns out there is a lot to rave about ! Exceptional room and exceptional service at a very good price ! Sp convenient to the highway near Airdrie , yet very quiet !
In Calgary for a conference, the room had everything I needed to rest comfortably. The coffee in the room wasn't very good but McDonalds is right next door so getting my morning coffee didn't not become the crisis it could have, lol!
From arrival to departure the hotel offered friendly staff to delicious food to a great all around atmosphere The hotel was a great place for the conference the staff were efficient and friendly - professional.
Our team was in Calgary for a hockey tournament and this hotel was an excellent choice! Great value for money and the staff was very helpful and courteous. The pool was open until 11pm Wich the players took full advantage of. Would definitely book again.
So satisfied with this hotel, room was very clean, had an issue with power outlet and the building maintenance guy came up in sec and fixed in no time. Mattress were nice and comfy - firm which I really like. Definitely recommended
The service was really bad. We went to the Gym which has one of the worse treadmills. You can hardly read the display. There were no water and first, we asked for water and got water from the breakfast which tasted bad, like there were not fresh. The day after we had to pay for 2 bottles (which we refused to pay). Water should be free no matter what. The breakfast is really bad. No real coffee (cappuccino or espresso) and no yogurt with fruit. The guy at the reception read my review and was very angry at me, and that's also unacceptable ! A guest should feel free to write a review based on their experience without having to give explanations or answers to the receptionist…
The hotel is far from the center. The service is very slow. Checkin took 15 minutes. The Gym had one of the worse treadmills ever. You can hardly see the screen. Breakfast was terrible: no cappuccino and no plain yogurt with the granola. Only sweetened one. The shower is Ok but not much water pressure.
The staff are friendly, helpful and genuine. The hotel itself is modern and clean. We had breakfast in the restaurant, the service was very attentive and the food was a great size and served warm. I would recommend staying here for a conference or even just the night!
Given the circumstances, this hotel goes to great lengths to ensure comfort and quality. Wonderful Bed, quiet surroundings, professional staff, hot-water kettle. Only minutes drive from city centre. Will choose this hotel again.
Had a layover in Calgary due to Airline/Airport issues so know this hotel is close to lots of stuff. Stay here all the time. $40 taxi ride from airports but Casino down the street & lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Plus the best beds in the city! Always best sleep when here!
Room&prop itself great, marred by sneaky fees& papers needed to access restaurant. Refit of a previous coast. They did a good job. Property. Room etc is nice. Let down by our the door sneaky DMF and ‘enviro' fees- which are not gov taxes. Ask that they be removed. If they are not, just file a credit card dispute/chargeback for the amount. It's a modest amount. But the principle is there. Advertising a good rate, then clawing it back on fees out the back end is not an honourable way to do business.
My husband and I just stayed one night at this hotel, and one of the reason we decided to stay here was it said on their website that they take all the precautions for the Covid19 pandemic. We were very impressed as we seen them sanitising everything so we felt pretty safe staying here. The other reason we stayed here is they had a restaurant right in the hotel, so we didn't have to try and go out to find one. The food at the restaurant was very good, and we were very impressed with the fact that the food came out hot! The waitress,(sorry I can't remember her name) was very attentive to our needs. Good job to everyone at this hotel in making it a very clean and safe environment.
This is a lovely hotel. Very clean and tastefully decorated. The rooms were very clean and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The lounge is part of the restaurant so lacks the usual lounge ambiance. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very quiet.
The entire experience at this hotel was exceptional! The check-in was painless, they had snacks for sale, the lobby was tastefully decorated, the elevator had the best enunciation of lobby ever, the beds were pillowy soft, the room was spacious, the bathroom amenities were plentiful (even mouthwash) and such a diverse offering of coffee, kettle and hot chocolate. Well done Best Western Premier! And so close to airport and a major shopping centre. Brilliant. I was sad I only got to spend one night here.
the rooms are very nice..they are clean and everything worked..the beds are comfy and clean..i stay here often and the service never changes..always a great stay..the check in and out people at the counter were super friendly and knew their jobs well..which made it very fast..
This hotel is great. Clean rooms, pool and you get Calgary Zoo tickets and breakfast included. What else you looking for? Ample parking space. Like breakfast. Service was good. 10 minutes distance from Calgary Zoo. Lobby area is spacious. Staff is friendly.
This hotel is located more in the suburbs, but it's pretty close to the airport. For Calgary standards, it's considered "far", but by far, it's a 15 minute drive from everything, so for Toronto people, it's not far at all. There's a lot of plazas around the hotel too so lots of options for eating or snacks if you need it. We enjoyed being able to use the hot tub as well. Would stay here again!
We stay here multiple time this summer and were treated like family. The customer service was friendly and outstanding. Clean room. nice beds and a reasonable rate even on the weekend. . Thank you Anna S. (scooter) for your hospitality.
Location is in industrial areas but close to the Calgary zoo, which was great for us. Easy process to check in and staff were very friendly. Impressed by the cleanliness of the room and overall facilities. Had a great sleep and beds were super comfortable. Breakfast options were great (bacon, eggs, sausages, yogurt, pancakes and cereals) and service was exceptional. Great value for the zoo package! The only few things I wish they would consider are limiting the amount of guests using in the pool/breakfast buffet room at the same time and offering fresh fruits at breakfast.
A good start with many things. But I was displeased with the noise I had to endure with a wedding directly below my room. Also I was hoping to relax in a bath. My room had no bath. At the pool the floor was a hazard. Big time slip and fall rick there. The Jacuzzi had a way to short timer on it.
We usually stay at the best western plus which suits all of our needs. Very clean, updated, and breakfast included. If you're a rewards member toiletries are available if you've forgotten yours(extra stuff besides the usual provided shampoo conditioner soap and lotion) and water bottles upon request. This was NOT the case for this best western premier Calgary plaza. The lobby appeared very nice and updated, as well as the elevator. Our room on the over hand was not as nice. Old brown ugly chairs, broken curtains and awful carpet. The bathroom looked like it was fairly new but that was about it. Breakfast was for a fee unlike other best westerns we've visited and there were no toiletries or water for guests, unless again you'd like to open your wallet. The one saving grace was the room was clean. We were only staying for one night but if we were staying any longer I'd probably look for some place else. We were really hoping for a premier experience and I was looking forward to the top tier of our favorite hotel chain but was left disappointed. Based on this experience, we would not come back to this best western and even might consider trying a different chain all together.
We took advantage of the zoo and breakfast package. The zoo was located a short drive away. The hotel is conveniently located between two shopping malls and several dining options which we took advantage of.
From the time we arrived to the time we left all staff were polite and courteous. The reception area, the actual room, exercise room and pool were clean. Would stay there again if we go back to Calgary.
I love this Best Western! The staff are friendly, clean room, comfy beds and modern! Love that we could stay her with our big Fur boy, which he had plenty of room. I will definitely be staying here again!
Incredible friendly staff, clean rooms and a great pool and hot tub. We stayed for our one year anniversary, and many times before. This time, the staff went above and beyond. We checked in shortly after 11pm, and realized we were in an adjoining room with a group of guys that were drinking, talking very loudly, playing music, etc. My husband went to the front desk ans kindly asked if anything could be done. Not only did they move us rooms, they upgraded us to an executive king room for our troubles. This made our anniversary even more special. It was a fantastic weekend and this hotel gets better with every visit! I cannot wait to stay again.
We'd booked 5 nights at this hotel, but checked out after the first night. The exterior and lobby look nice, but our room was dirty and rundown. I understand that hotels don't give housekeeping a lot of time to clean, but that needs to change. The walls in our room were covered with grey scuff marks and mysterious brown stains. There were stray hairs in the shower, on the chairs, and even embedded in a towel. My dog had entirely too much to sniff, which made me think it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned after previous pets- he's never done that before. Also the location is very meh.
Purchased the zoo package, room & 4 tickets to Calgary zoo for $225 with taxes. Was very happy with the room and the value of package. Zoo tickets were $120, so essentially paid $105 for the room. Very happy!
Front Desk was amazing. Very fast check in. Room service was awesome. Food was delicious as always. Pool was amazing. Just what we needed. I would highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends.. such friendly staff and very clean..
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Calgary Best Western Conference Centre. The rooms were very comfortable and tidy. The restaurant served good food and we enjoyed our meals there. The staff with whom we dealt were all very helpful and kind....they especially showed great kindness to our 3 year old Labrador.
Booked online and paid for a premium room with king sized bed. Online it said the hotel is pet friendly, but when we showed up they changed our room because only certain rooms are pet friendly. We paid for a kind sized bed and wanted a way nicer room. But we got a dirty, dingy room with two double beds and dog hair everywhere. Definitely won't be staying here again.
Always an amazing stay with Best Western Premier Calgary! All staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's a great location, walking distance to shopping centers and restaurants. Our room was spacious, beautiful, and clean! We also had the option of express checkout which was amazing and very convenient for us. When visiting Calgary this is always our go-to hotel – each visit is excellent and we look forward to returning very soon! Thank you Best Western Premier Calgary!!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and all of the amenities. We especially love that we were able to get a joining rooms. The staff at the front desk as well as the restaurant were very friendly. We are looking forward to returning again!
Always clean. The rooms are clean and pleasant. The staff is professional and very welcoming. The restaurant staff are very good at their jobs and the food is good. The amenities are plentiful enough and so far, always available. I have to problem recommending this hotel.
The hotel and zoo package is a good deal and it includes free breakfast. We booked three packages and one package is missing one ticket. We told the front desk and did not replace it. The airconditioning at the hotel needs to be checked too.
While booking online there was no option to pick a suite, or a room with a couch. I did have the total number of guests staying marked as 3 people and asked for a cot for the room. It wasn't until we arrived that they informed me a cot wasn't an available option, best they could do was book us another room. I mentioned to them i was kind of disappointed that no one would have contacted me about this, i could have came prepared with an air mattress etc had i known. Their resolution was free breakfast vouchers. Again it was stampede weekend so i told them i understand they are busy etc but the resolution was subpar. Went for breakfast the next day to find out the vouchers were only valid for "the special", had the special and it was terrible. Somehow they managed to make bad hashbrowns and the food was cold. Every company makes mistakes, the mark of a good company is how they choose to resolve issues and solutions they provide. I will not be staying here again simply because of their lack of concern for the issue with the room.
Our room was stuffy and hot. The air conditioning did not function properly, and there was no way to adjust it. Breakfast is NOT included with the room. An item of clothing that was left behind was "not found" when I called about it. With a few exceptions, the staff seem uninterested and unhelpful.
Stay here every year when travelling back to Saskatchewan from BC to visit family. Easy on/off from hyway. Lots of restaurants & shopping in the area & casino close by too. Hotel is clean, safe & staff is very nice. Highly recommend this hotel! Always a great stay!
The service was excellent throughout my stay as the response to my questions were promptly and professionally answered. Any concerns/services requested were dealt with immediately; without hesitation. I will be back and will recommend this hotel for friends and family.
This was a business trip and although I did not stay, my daughter had to travel for me at the last minute. The front desk staff accommodated this without problem and made the booking and payment for the room seamless. I recommend this location for their superior service, and care to details.
Everything was beyond perfect --Could not have been a more pleasant experience - In Calgary, I would never consider staying any place else , It was pet friendly & excellent in everyway --An absolutely perfect stay , great value etc etc. I cant say enough good things about our stay
My son and myself spent a night here. Clean, friendly hotel. So enjoyable to have the pool to ourself and all COVID-19 protocol was followed. We felt safe and relaxed!! We will stay here again for sure.
Excellent service. Location was very convenient for my purpose with ample parking. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to the situation were in now but the last time I stayed their it was open and was great. Will definitely stay their again;.
The front desk team was awesome- very helpful, polite & courteous. I decided to check-in at this hotel thinking that we could use the pool. Unfortunately,I was informed that the slots were full. That was a disappointment. The rooms were good (I got one queen room & 1 king room), beds were comfortable but the pillows were kinda hard to have under my head. Very "bulky". The internet kept turning off. I usually listen to music to lull me to sleep but I couldn't when the internet stopped. I checked and it was disconnected, I had to sign in several times. The room keys : Rm. 514- one was activated, the other one not. Front desk reactivated it. Rm. 206-my daughter brought 1 key card with her to work while the other one was left with me. When she returned that night, she couldn't enter the hotel because the key card was deactivated. Now, when I decided to go out the room to buy some drinks, I tried opening the door using my key card, it was my key card's turn to be deactivated!!! I mean, how often do you have to activate & deactivate key cards? Other than these, we had a restful weekend. Even if the restaurant was closed, there are other eateries accessible to the hotel.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in Calgary, especially in the North East. Easy to get to, with free parking. Decent dining options close by as well as fast food. Very professional and friendly staff.
This is the only hotel I stay at in Calgary. Price range is good. You really get what you pay for! Staff are also polite, courteous, and will listen and attend to your needs. Amenities are amazing. Location is also perfect!
Absolutely loved staying here for a few nights. Felt very clean and modern, and the bed was very comfortable. Shower was nice and relaxing after a long day as well. Nothing really to complain about, feels like a 5 star hotel for a 4 star price. Customer service was also some of the best I've ever experienced and they're taking very careful care in following safety protocols. Thank you, this will be my go-to for staying in Calgary!!
This hotel was in the perfect location for my needs. I was greatly impressed with the service, cleanliness and decor of te hotel and the rooms. The bed was amazingly comfortable. I will be staying there again and again.
Stayed here twice for one night at a transit hotel for the airport. Reception was friendly and helpful with good covid protection practice. Plenty of sanitizer all over the place. The room had a microwave and coffee making facilities so I could eat in without heading for a restaurant. Room was usual chain hotel size and equipment, bed was comfortable and room was clean. It had a shower and no tub which was disappointing but overall was fit for purpose. I never heard noise from either corridor or other room so noise suppression was good. Location is in a shopping area so it's ok for shopping but walking round it doesn't feel the friendliest area though I never felt threatened so it seemed safe to me. There are a few chain restaurants locally but nothing I would eat at.
Great Stay, front desk staff is friendly and efficient and ready to answer any questions. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. Best of all very quiet and the bed is very comfortable. The restaurant is a gem, tasty food, elegantly plated at a decent price,
On the long trip back following my mother's passing, we had driven for 13 hours and made an online reservation about 15 minutes before arriving. The staff were great, very helpful and took time to help us get a good place to park where they could monitor our vehicle with my mothers possessions in it. In the morning I had a slight water temperature issue in the shower and they compensated us with free breakfast.
Perfectly acceptable, but nothing more. Having stayed in truly "Premier" entries in the chain, this falls short. Must have earned this rating on simply size and scope of the property, a massive convention hotel in a somewhat sketchy warehouse section south of YYC. Staff tried hard but the hotel falls short of expectations.
Great visit to Calgary. Attempted fishing and a visit to the zoo. Such friendly staff at the BW; Made our Masked stay great. Fast and efficient check in/out. An exclusive visit to the pool and a yummy breakfast. Accommodated a second visit to the pool before our return home. Thank you.
Very very nice hotel! Our first night the room had no air conditioning so they moved us to another room. Would have been nice to have been offered a credit or something for the inconvenience of having to pack and move
I didn't intend to stay at first but just to check pricing and vacancy. The price was right and the room was well worth the money. The room was so inviting and the king size bed was so comfortable. The staff were very gentle and inviting--didn't look at you like you were out of place. The view was nice from the 10th floor and the lightning storm seen was from there was so beautiful! I'd recommend this hotel for anyone who is in the Calgary for a night to however long. I am in the future taking my family there to stay for a couple nights!
Very spacious hotel Calm and relaxing very secure - needed key to get into hotel and also elevator my room was beautiful staff was very accommodating I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a very relaxing, quiet and enjoyable stay!!
This property is in very good condition; rooms are clean and modern and staff are excellent and knowledgeable. The building is secure at night and located in an area with public transportation and amenities close by.
Went for business, but super impressed with all of the amenities and wonderful staff. Would definitely stay here again by my choice. Close to other amenities for shopping and dining out. Easy to find and great access to main thoroughfares.
This hotel had such great staff and service, they were genuinely helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the fitness centre and the pool was clean and had lots of amenities. The conference area was set up with good AV and had enough room for all the delegates. Food was service very quickly and orderly too.
Rooms were comfortable and clean. Good value overall for attending a conference in Calgary. Location was not great and a car or uber service was required to get around. Pool area was disappointing as it was located in a basement.
I had a great stay here while attending a conference. The room was very comfortable and the meal was superb. I would recommend this hotel to anyone especially those on business assignments. The amenities were great and I felt safe by the safety feature in the elevator.
Hotel is at a quiet corner in a busy district, conveniently located near Hwy 1 & Hwy 2. The rooms are spacious, modern & clean. I haven't found another hotel that offers this much for at reasonable price. I keep returning to this hotel everytime I visit Calgary.
Always look for Best Western first, if available, and this was no exception. Hotel staff, room, bedding, cleanliness, room service food, breakfast, were GREAT. Few little extra touches that we really appreciated - welcome bottled water, fridge & microwave, sanitized TV remote. Will stay again
Great Hotel. Quick staff and clean rooms. Everything you could want in a hotel for a work trip. The shuttle to and from the airport was reliable and it was a short walk away. From shopping centres and restaurants if you did not wish to partake in the hotel restaurant.
The Best Western Premier Calgary is a great place to stay rooms are very nicely decorated, beds were super comfy. Lots of parking space close to the casino if you like that sort of thing. I would stay there again
Enjoyed the free upgraded room and they have nice complementary breakfast and service was very good..thanks for Elaina for quick help on front desk and for quick check out. Room was nice and I've got 2 free water bottles.
From entering the hotel the staff were very helpful and friendly plus very accommodating. My room was so very nice and clean nd the bed was incredible. I live here in the city but will find an excuse to stay there again.
Nice location close to restaurants and supermarket, clean room especially the jacuzzi - jetted suite (same jacuzzi feels but in the privacy of the room), friendly staff, quick check-in and express check out,
Excellent property all round, staff excellent, free parking. Had three rooms, family trip, all with two queen beds. Great location , close to most venues. All rooms very clean and modern feel, no bathtub ,large shower stall, coffee pot, kettle and microwave complemented the room. Stay 5 days.
You know when you want to have a holiday and do absolutely nothing except lounge in the pool and dine in and as my daughter says "chill" the Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre is the place to go. And we did just that - the beds were so comfortable and the room was so clean that we didn't feel like going out - truly a home away from home without the dish washing ! The housekeeping associates that we met in the hallway were quite friendly. And the Front desk associates both at check in and check out were professional and friendly. The hotel also has large conference spaces attached and a huge parking lot which I presume would be for large events. The pool and the hot tub are recently renovated and great place for kids to splash around. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay close to downtown with shopping and restaurants nearby
Stayed here as part of a wedding weekend. The room was comfortable and clean. The beds were very comfy and the linen was nice. Queen beds in tower B and King in tower A. Nice pool and hot tub. They have a little gift store with snacks for purchase if you get the munchies. The restaurant is good- breakfast buffet is about $13. Close to a small mall and a couple of fast food restaurants. Great staff and was a wonderful wedding venue—great wedding rates for staying. They do charge the destination marketing fee but the wifi in the room is fabulous.
Stayed here the night after a company Christmas party, I loved it. Room was comfy and very clean, staff were always friendly and attentive. I especially like that they have a huge parking lot and it's free.
This hotel may not look like much from the outside, but it has been recently renovated (the Lounge included). Very modern look, clean and comfortable guest rooms. I stay at this hotel regularly for work. Staff are friendly and helpful. Easy access to major roadways, and not prohibitively far from the Calgary International Airport. They have an airport shuttle if needed.
the stay was excellent. the facility was clean. the check in was slow and seem to always have problems with same staff with our check ins. the breakfast buffet has good selection and the cooks are great.
Rooms were clean, friendly staff, and one of the few conferences where the room was comfortable. Not to hot or cold. Little tricky to find the first time but worth the effort. Would stay here again. Did not eat here so no comment on the food. Others liked it though.
Premier Best Western in Calgary Alberta was a great stay. The staff is friendly and helpful, great service at the restaurant and lounge too. Our shuttle was also free from the hotel to the airport which was a bonus! If I ever visit Calgary again I know where I will be staying. You won't be disappointed staying here. The price of the room was really reasonable too!
An excellent hotel with an excellent price, especially given that it should be considered a higher class of hotel. The hotel is close to a nearby C-Train station, it has exceptionally professional staff who were very accommodating
For years lounge was great, but now no VLT and no big screen tv on all the time. The ambience is gone. Great hotel otherwise. For years we would come to Calgary and entertain family and friends in Barrington lounge, play on the VLT and drink, eat and have lots of fun. But with the new renovations no more VLT so we get our room grab a taxi and go to the casino up the street and drop $$$ there.☹️
This hotel is spacious - lobby area, rooms and the swimming pool area. The rooms are super clean. Loved the walk in showers. Had a fridge and microwave. The decor is impressive - lots of art work. Staff are professional and super nice. The bed is very comfortable. Highly recommend to any person.
I was here for combination work/leisure and I can highly recommend it for anyone visiting Calgary! Accommodations were lovely- clean, spacious, and well appointed. Room service was prompt (and delicious) and the catering for our meeting was also outstanding. I will be back!
The hotel is very open and well lit. Breakfast was very good, variety of options for food and drink and omelettes made to order. Every staff we came in contact with was helpful, smiling and friendly. Room was meticulous. No dust, smelled fresh and clean, beds were amazingly comfy, (SLEPT LIKE A BABY, very sound proof hotel, temperature control actually worked. Never too hot or cold. Pool and hot tub was perfect and again, very very clean. I am a bit of a germaphobe and was so impressed with the cleanliness. Security driving in the parking lot. One of my Top 10 places to stay now. Every facet of stay was TOP NOTCH !!!!
We loved the easiness off getting there, the staff at the front desk was super friendly and helpful our room was so clean and welcoming, over all super great place I highly recommend it to all who come for business or pleasure.
Our suite was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was very large. The AC was a little loud but it was alright. Overall a nice hotel with decent breakfast buffet, although it could have been a little better organized.
It's a lovely hotel, recently renovated, and very elegant. However, though the rooms are beautifully furnished with excellent amenities, the constant high-pitched whine from the ventilation system ruins sleep, and detracts from the overall experience. Even with earplugs I could hear the loud whine of the system, made worse by constant ticking noises in the wall as the pipes heated and cooled. As sleep is absolutely key, I would likely not return to this hotel as I did not sleep well at all. It's a shame, really, because all the other amenities and services are top-notch.
I was looking for a hotel with close proximity to a location where I would be writing an important exam - given the neighbourhood I did not expect the hotel to be as nice as it was - it was like finding an oasis! Just too bad someone pulled the fire alarm and woke us up!!
I stayed at this hotel when it was run by another company, love the new look and feel of it. The hotel is very welcoming and staff is very helpful. The breakfast was fantastic and so is the workout room. Next time I am in Calgary I am staying here.
Another exceptional stay. Front desk staff are excellent and the breakfast which is included with your stay is the best I have had (Sunday buffet is exceptional) I love how comfortable the beds are, I sleep even better than I do at home. Definitely the best value for the quality of service and amenities that they have. This is my go to Hotel whenever I come to Calgary
Best service, comfiest rooms and TRY THE PLAZA BURGER if you get food there. By far the yummiest burger ive ever had! Everytime its a easy check in and out, they respect your privacy and its very clean!
Awesome venue. From upper management to front line professional courteous staff continues to make it easier for us to return be it personal or business. Over the years we have developed a personal and business relationship with the hotel and it's amenities that meets our needs above and beyond.
This hotel is very nice. Quality fitout, neat, clean and tidy with everything you need onsite. Except a laundromat. Think it might be marketed towards conferences because there is not much happening near by. The city centre is about 15 minutes by car and that was on the weekend. It's surrounded by car yards and industrial complexes. There is a shopping centre within walking distance, but our impression of it was not that flash. Very close to the airport. Maybe 15 minutes by car. Overall we felt comfortable and safe while we were at the hotel.
Stayed mid October 2019 for two nights. I travel for business frequently and this was my first time at this hotel. This hotel offered everything I would expect from a top rated Best Western. A little older than some I have stayed at but the comfort level was on par with the best I have stayed at. Dined in the Horizons restaurant both nights and both food and service were good.
Room is clean , price is right, good for short or even long business trip stay, location is good, not too far from city , staff is helpful , and free parking pass which is good.definitely will pick the same hotel for much business trip
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a few days. We got the zoo package and it was worth it. The hotel is accessible to many stores, restaurants and even the train station. The room was nice and clean. The buffet breakfast was abundant and there was a very good selection including hot omelettes. The front office manager was great, friendly and courteous. We were able to use the computer. There was a time that we waited for the shuttle bus but it never came and the front staff told us to take a taxi and the staff paid for the taxi. This is what I call excellent service. We always stay in a Best Western Hotel anywhere in the world to make sure that we get the benefits of being a rewards member AND we also get the best sleeping accommodations.
Check in was a breeze. Very friendly staff. All amenities were great. Food in the restaurant was amazing. The view from the room was beautiful. Quiet floor. Pool and hot tub was nice after a long day at work. Would diffently stay again.
Stayed here for a conference, overall a good experience. Location is not too far from city or airport, with a couple good restaurants around it. Would stay again for work trips. Really enjoyed the gym for a hotel gym.
This was a lovely hotel to stay at. The check in was fast and efficient by staff staff that was not only courteous but very friendly. My room was quite spacious and clean with a real comfy bed. I would definitely reccommend this hotel to travelers.
The hotel was clean and well kept both inside and out. All of the staff we interacted with, from desk to breakfast to housekeeping were friendly and professional. The breakfast was hot and delicious! Even with a conference being held there and the airport so close by, it was quiet day and night there-wonderful for these two weary travelers. Breakfast is not included with all room purchases, so check ahead if you want a complimentary breakfast, check ahead or else it will cost $13/person for breakfast. They do have a 24 hour restaurant and room service, which is nice.
Because I live over one 3rd of my annual days in a hotel, I tend to book at upper-class hotels with great reputations and amenities. Of late, I've noticed that in many locations Best Western has but up some higher-end looking hotels that feel as good if not better than my usual haunts. This hotel is definitely one of them and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
We were in Calgary for a business meeting at this hotel. We have stayed at this hotel several times previously for meetings. Lots of nice upgrades have been done. We were in a very nice renovated room. We purchased one breakfast voucher. Breakfast was a hot buffet, very good. One breakfast was included at the meeting. Hotel is in a good location. Certainly recommend this hotel.
Access to the city transit is a block away. Calgary has the best transit system for any large city and its right off the TCH, so visitors can park and play right from this hotel. The COBB salad is so good, I had it 2 evenings in a row. However the price point is a little unreasonable and could use a 25-30% reduction.
Enjoyed my stay here. Only stayed for one night. My family enjoyed the heated pool and the breakfast buffet the next morning was good. Staff in hotel and restaurant were very friendly. Would stay here again.
The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable. Shower had great water pressure. The breakfast buffet was very good. I had a great sleep there. The hotel was very receptive to me travelling my pets. They even had a treat bag for the dog.
The beds were comfortable, check in was a bit slow, in a good location. We would stay here again if we need to be in Calgary. We had our small dog and kennel with us which they accommodated no problem. Would recommend.
I was very pleased with the room size, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent, coffee great and the most important to me was how clean it was. The only thing not too great was the work out room was small if you wanted to do weights and another person there then not much room also needs fans or air circulation as was too hot and humid.....sucked it up cause I really needed a run on treadmill and skipped the weights.
We stayed two nights to attend my brothers funeral. Our stay was great from beginning to end. Very comfortable bed, clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast was very nice as well. Thank you for a pleasant stress free stay.
My family and I stayed at the Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza Hotel and we very much enjoyed our stay. It felt like home away from home especially with the great service and amenities including hearty breakfast and free in-room movie. They also delivered for us a playpen for our baby which made the stay even more enjoyable!
The hotel is very good. very convenient from the airport, there is a shuttle provided from the airport to hotel. nice room and comfortable. Smooth check in and express check out. Will come back. Good services. Location is close to shopping and TT&T Asian market. We had nice stayed.
BWP Calgary Plaza and Conference Centre - the best place to stay in Calgary. We are seniors and we will stay again in this hotel. The service of Jen, the duty manager, exceeded our expectations. Boni the cok served as a most delicious, healthy, veggie omelette. Hiya, the waitress gave us excellent table service. The Cagary Zoo package was excellent in contents and in price. We give this hotel an A+ rating.
My family and I stayed at this hotel as we were attending a wedding and were amazed by the service and quality of the hotel. The room were clean and the beds the most comfortable we have slept in. The food quality was also exceptional. All the staff who were present and served us during breakfast and other meals understood our needs and provided excellent service. We would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend to friends and family.
Had to travel to Calgary for a family emergency. First room was so dirty with hair on both beds we had to ask to move. They front desk attendant was nice and happily transferred us to a next room which was cleaner. There was always uneaten remnants in room service trays in the hallways during the stay, some there over 12 hours. Parking lot is half filled with dealership cars and if there is an event at the hotel, it is very hard to find parking. I was offered the option for quick check out, which I signed for, but was not provided. I did the survey after, had someone contact me for feedback, I sent pics and details but no response. Hotel is convenient, good Reno's, but needs some better housekeeping.
Room 519 in the tower. $136 Canadian including xtra fees/taxes. PROS: Large, well appointed room with luxury linens and amenities. Seattle Best coffee in room, ample parking at rear of building. No breakfast included. Onsite restaurant good but pricey. Bar/lounge area under renovation. Pool has dressing area. CONS: pool, while nice, is FAR away and up stairs to access. The front desk personnel, "Alicia" came across aloof and unhelpful. Be aware that this is a large convention oriented type hotel. Families may need to go elsewhere for dining.
Stayed here with two young children and took them to Calaway Park with the package provided by the hotel. Snacks delivered to our room while we were out for dinner. Kids loved it. Pool had no slide like in pictures online which was a bit disappointing. Overall good hotel for kids and mom and dad too.
I would recommend Best Western Premier Calgary to stay in because of it's clean rooms and friendly staff. It is easy to get to. It is close to all amenities. The breakfast has a variety of food and was tasty.
This hotel is very nice, friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Checking in staff were knowledgeable and very friendly. Great location. Would definitely stay again. Beds were comfy. Great value for hotel . I recommend this hotel
Really enjoyed our stay at the BW Premier. Very nice accommodations, comfortable bed, very clean. The location is great and the price is very reasonable. Would definitely stay again the next time we're in Calgary.
I will not be staying at this hotel again. Does not meet best western standards in any way in my opinion. I have always opted for best western hotels when travelling but severely disappointed here. One facecloth for 3 people for 2 days (when we asked housekeeping in the hallway, were told they couldn't give us more but then the front desk said housekeeping would have to be called to bring some to us). No acknowledgement as a rewards member. No working air conditioning on 30+ degree days(apparently an issue with that whole side of the building). No mention of included breakfast so we had to pack up and drive to find and pay for breakfast each day. Were told they did not have a calaway park package when we specifically asked while booking but turns out they did. The maze to the pool through the basement is a little uncomfortable and then requires stairs to even get to the pool level. This was fine for me but I ran into someone in a wheelchair who had a much harder time. Staff were not accommodating or friendly when anything was discussed with them. And the best "resolutions" were a mobile air conditioning unit which leaked water all over the floor and an offer for a few bonus points. No discount or refund or apology. I would not recommend this hotel or stay again.
The hotel was very accomodating. Tgey resolved any issues we had and went out of their way to please us. We always had certain timings ggat we needed our room cleaned and the staff were very accomodating. The front desk was slso very helpful.
For traveling with an 8 month old and a toddler the hotel room was still spacious to go about the day along with being able to relax after going to the zoo and heritage park. staff was very polite and courteous to us.
Always stay here when we go to Calgary. The deal with the zoo/calaway park tickets plus a complementary breakfast for 4 with a gift basket full Of fruit and treats is a great deal and hard to beat. Room was clean except the bathtub could of used a better clean.Staff was friendly and the pool is great. Highly recommend.
We stay at this hotel every summer we come to Calgary, although this is our first time since it became a Best Western. Out of all of the years we have stayed, this is probably the best one yet. Which makes me feel better about bringing two other couples with us this time, whom also had rooms here and enjoyed themselves. Not every year has been so seamless. Our check in went well and the front desk clerk was friendly. It tends to be a very busy hotel and this was no exception, with there being a lineup. But they were quick and courteous. The hotel felt cleaner this time around (granted last time we were there it was under renovations). We stayed in tower A this year. Our room was nice, a king size Superior room. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our only complaint was that the Friday night we arrived, we went to the grocery store and purchased a bunch of food to keep in our fridge as we had very full days planned and were going to eat close to home. Well, this is actually the second year in a row that the fridge froze everything and spoiled all of the food we purchased. A bit disappointing and not something we will attempt again. Otherwise, the room was nice. I was a big fan of the shower. I know most people love having a bathtub but it was actually a nice change to have just one big shower in the room. This was also the first year we ate anything from the restaurant other than their breakfast buffet (had no choice once our food spoiled). The food, aside from the buffet was great. The breakfast buffet needs a bit of an upgrade. It is a bit boring. Normally I can eat the same thing a few days in a row, but there wasn't much on the buffet I could actually have. So I didn't have much to eat; thankfully, we had breakfast vouchers and weren't paying for it. But overall, the food itself is always tasty and the service is good. Parking has never been an issue here, and we feel very secure with leaving our vehicle in their lot. There is always ample parking available. The location of this hotel is very ideal. Close to a lot of amenities, the airport, and not so far from downtown that it isn't an easy drive to get to. Knowing the price of most downtown Calgary hotels, I'd much rather stay in this area. Next year, we potentially discussed trying out somewhere new, but being creatures of habit, and knowing we like it here, we will be back. Maybe this time we will bring the dogs again and test out their pet friendly amenities. Overall, I do recommend the Best Western Premier. Aside from a glitch here and there, there is nothing big enough that would deter me from coming back.
I enjoyed our room and felt it very spacious. The shower setup was one of the nicest I have seen in a hotel - it did not make a mess all over the floor like most. Our door to our room was very tight as was the bathroom door. So that was annoying as both were very loud to close. Only one elevator was working to my tower and that was eventually fixed during my stay. However, it was annoying to wait for the elevator for the first few days.
We had a bad experience right from check in. We booked this hotel one months in advance using our Gold Member points. Upon arrival, we confirmed at the front desk we were using our points to cover the two night stay. We recieved our Express checkout invoice showing we had been charged for both nights. At the front desk we were told we didn't have the points, even when it was confirmed at time of booking directly through the hotel. Staff said we had enough to cover one night, but still charged us for both nights. We will never stay at this hotel again. Terrible customer service!
Good clean hotel with some glitches not everything would be perfect anyway Firts parking there are clear signed where to park when we arrive there their front was newly fix so we that we did not know so we have to turn around just to park. Second aircon broken we reported it no one come a look to fix it my son end up nose bleeding in the morning because of the heat. Phone/online promo was different in the front desk and it took a well from them to figure it out. Slow check in that time it was busy we understand but there should been a faster way to do it when it is busy like that.
Great location as we travelled along Trans Canada Highway. Comfortable and clean room. Good breakfast. Friendly and efficient staff. We were particularly impressed with all the staff. Good value. We would definitely recommend it to friends.
small pool not even worth mentioning hot tub fits 3, front desk staff nedd some more taraining as to customer service. i told them i was leaving so they could fix the broken door handle, and they waited till i came back to fix it all maintenance did was tak the door handle offrone door and put it in another like he didnt believe me but our room cards worked good after that.
This property is conveniently located and is a great value for the price. The complimentary breakfast is located in the on-site restaraunt and was more of a buffet than your regular "hotel continental" breakfast. They even made your eggs to order! Overall a nice stay.
We staid here 2 weeks into a 3 week road trip. The quality of service we received was amazing. The room was beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. The hot water kettle and coffee maker was a great way to start/end the day. Everything about or experience here was perfect. Within walking distance to the train station to downtown which was great and easy freeway access to Banff. The pool was clean and fun for the kids. The staff went above and beyond to answer any questions and made sure we had everything we needed. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
We arrived the Hotel around 2pm and the rooms are ready, but the official checkin time is 3pm. We Were not allowed to checkin until 3pm or We can pay $15 extra per room for early checkin. I have been travelling extensively around the World and this is the only Hotel will charge for early check in when the rooms are ready. I wonder If they would pay you $15 for late checkin!
Hotel has been nicely renovated, clean, bright, spacious. Easy access to highway, near airport, near many shops & local restaurants & near shopping malls, a great way to experience local's lives. Great value for staying at a hotel with all that it has to offer.
The front desk staff was friendly, and helpful. Quiet and comfortable room, the king sized bed is excellent, firm and large. We only stayed for one night, did not have time to use the exercise room, nor swimming pool.
the staff are very friendly and helpful . the rooms are clean and well stocked the food was very good . the hotel is close the the station if you want to go downtown , and the is a couple of malls nearby
As a rule, I am generally not happy when I am booked in a Best Western as I prefers bit more luxury. Our conference was in this hotel so I figured I could deal with it for convenience sake. Boy. Was I surprised but I like it! A lot! Start with the best people located at the front desk. Awesome! Buy the breakfast coupons from the front desk. Good value! Great staff in the dining area. The room was spacious enough and comfortable. We liked having the small fridge and microwave in the room. They also had a safe. Problem with our safe on our arrival, but once we placed a call. It was fixed immediately. We were quite pleased. They also have an airport shuttle. Lastly, we enjoyed the onsite bar as well. All in all, we were very pleased with our 5 day stay.
The room was dated but renovated. There was a constant noise like a drill or a motor that would stat every minute and we could not sleep the whole night. The next day was ruined. The hotel upon complain tried to bribe us with free breakfast coupons which we returned and did not use. The cleanliness was not there.Dishes were left in corridor from 9 in the night till 11 in the morning till the time we checked out. Worst ever best western experience.BEDS(MATRESSES) WERE VERY OLD AND HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED AFTER RENOVATION.
We stay at this hotel everytime we stay in Calgary. This was our first time staying since it changed to a Best Western. They still have the same prices and deals which I was happy about. We always book a package when we go and this tine was the Zoo package which is an incredible deal and I highly reccomend! The upgrades done in the lobby look great and the pool being redone is a huge plus. Its is much cleaner now as it was pretty gross our last visit. With the package we booked it came with a snack basket and a free in room movie. I ended up having to call about the snack basket which was then delivered in about an hour. (Past visits it had always been in our room on arrival). Then at checkout I didn't notice that we had been billed for the in room movie we watched that should have been included. It wasnt until we were half way home that I realized, so a cheque had to be sent to refund our money for that. (The cheque did arrive promptly). Other then these little mishaps everything was great. The beds are super comfortable here and we love the warm buffet breakfast included in the package as well and we will continue to use this hotel for our trips to Calgary every year.
Did the title catch your eye?! I stayed at the Best Western Premier recently for a conference. The hotel is in a good location close to the airport. The rooms are recently updated, clean and quiet. The staff do their utmost to help you in any way - much appreciated in this day and age! The butter chicken pizza served in the lounge is delicious with a light and fluffy crust. Now for the title...the hotel is in a great location with three craft breweries just up the road - Red Bison, Toolshed, and Common Crown. So, you could go there for business, or leisure, then go for a good beer.
The front desk staff were absolutely amazing and helpful. My husband caught a salmon in BC and we required a freezer for it during our stay. Everyone was understanding and helpful in getting our request accomplished! Thank you!
The staff were very friendly however, I can't imagine how no one had reported the fact that the shower was leaking from the ceiling and flooded the bathroom prior to our stay. I am sure it must have happened before us. They changed our room however we could not go to it as it was occupied and had to rely on the staff to move our belongings which was ok. Had we not had to change rooms, we would not have been stuck in the elevator to get to the new room at 11 pm.for 45 minutes. We had to use our cell phone to call the front desk to tell them we were stuck. They had to send for the elevator company to come and get us out. The company had to be called and once they got to the hotel, it took another 15 minutes to get us out.. Both rooms we were in were supposed to be "Executive" rooms but after staying at many hotels, these were just ordinary rooms in my opinion. That second room had a toilet that could have done just about anything if you could figure out how to use it. That was more of a hindrance than anything else. On the positive side and the only one, the breakfast was a great buffet and the food was excellent. We were not offered any compensation for any of our issues.
Stayed for two nights entertained friends in the lounge. Food, drinks, sports on large tv screens and playing VLT and the service was excellent. Highly recommended if your staying in Calgary. Also used the swimming pool and the breakfast buffet both excellent, very friendly and accommodating staff.
Great place to stay with your pet. Very friendly staff. Rooms need a little work - closet doors very old and hard to open and close. The drawers for clothes were hard to open & close too. Great property and easy parking.
We are loyal Best Western customers. We travel a lot through the US and Canada every year. Always staying at a Best Western when available. This was our favorite stay at any of the Best western's we have stayed at. Including the pricier, fancier Best western's in San Francisco. We were in Calgary as i was having surgery. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. They were wonderful. The hotel was clean and modern, The have the awesome pillow top beds, lot's of parking and the breakfast was excellent. The staff was also fantastic and friendly in the restaurant. A great price point for a wonderful stay. This will be our go to hotel when in Calgary. Only sorry we didn't find it sooner being as we are in Calgary so often! We highly recommend it! Excellent!
We were in town for a karate tournament. This location was so ideal for both the event and all the surrounding amenities. The staff were friendly and very help and kind when we had to switch the rooms/reservations that we had with my mom's as she could not make it as soon as she was hoping. We even got a delicious brownie on check-in. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Awesome pool and hot tub. The only thing is we didn't eat onsite as they were a bit pricey. We will be staying here for next year's tournament.
Our team was in for a tournament. Alishia Mcdonald was excellent in helping with bookings and looking after us during our stay. Great looking Hotel and friendly helpful staff!! Great rate and location.
We were in town to visit the kids and grandkids. We stayed here because close to where they live and my son works there. The room was more than what we expected, we were upgraded to a king suite. The kingsize bed was quite possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slet in. The breakfast buffet was far beyond anything I had expected. I highly recommend a stay here. Airport shuttle to and from.
I stayed at this hotel for the first time just recently and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms was very clean and large. The bathroom was small but met my needs all the same. It was close to the LRT station and a number of restaurants were withing walking distance. The hotel has a restaurant in it but I never used it myself but it looked very nice; albeit a little pricey for my taste based on the menu I saw. Overall, I quite enjoyed my stay there and would do so again.
Very good place to stay. Would absolutely go there again. We were there for a basketball showcase and it was a great experience. Had supper at the lounge and it was delicious. Room were very nice and the beds were excellent.
Nice and clean overall. Simple and not extravagant. Access to Hotel location is through the industrial area, so though its not too far from the main road, its still a short drive away, and a fair walking distance to the shopping mall and restaurants in the neighborhood. The lack of complimentary breakfast for all customers was a downgrade to the rating ($10/per person), as the hotel appeared to be quite selective as to who gets free breakfast and who had to pay, almost as if it depended on where/who the customer used to reserve their hotel room, or else depending on how much they paid for their hotel room. Some customers had free breakfast vouchers, while others had to pay. Knock on the Hotel Management for this bad discriminatory practice. Also the Restaurant that served the Breakfast stated that customer couldn't take their food up to their hotel suite, but yet they made an exception for others. The Quality and Consistency of service for customers is a bit of a concern at this hotel. Hotels that don't discriminate customers are those with better hotel management practices, and this Best Western Premier needs a little wake up call. Otherwise the hotel stay and room, was good to very good.
I ALWAYS stay here when I'm in Calgary. Hotel is nice pool and hot tub are nice. Very nice gym facilities. Staff are awesome and the FREE breakfast is amazing! Omelets made to order...need I say more?
We had stayed with a sports team and found the hotel staff very accommodating. the breakfast options were great and food was plentiful and hot. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Thanks for a great stay!
The renovations are lovely. Ample parking. Comfy bed. Free breakfast voucher and the buffet is great. Had a good chuckle at the phone in the bathroom. Only qualm was that the pillows were overstuffed so I woke up quite a bit, but that's the case at most hotels I find.
Front desk service excellent, hotel accommodations great, Breakfast was very good, again with excellent service. Staff were very helpful. Maintenance staff were quick to respond with an issue and resolved it quickly. I would say at this hotel again. Approximately 20 minutes from the Calgaryairport
Came down for an nhl came booked last second. Complimentary upgrade of our room breakfast was awesome the staff were all super helpful and nice. Will 100% be the hotel I come back to every time we are in Calgary! Thank you bestwestern!!
This was hotel stay was very impressive from the great staff to cleanliness of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable. I had a great sleep. The location is close to everything from food store to close proximity to Airport and downtown. Highly recommend this hotel
Hotel staff: From the front desk personnel to restaurant staff/chefs to housekeeping and maintenance staff nothing but outstanding service. All staff are extremely professional, polite, informative and western down to earth. What ever mgt has in the water: do not change. Restaurant: Outstanding breakfast selection, quality and superb staff. Our dinners again were very professionally presented and the quality superb. Pool: Used the pool five times and each time no towels were available either in the change room or pool area.
I stayed here when this was the Coast Plaza hotel earlier in 2018 and both experiences were great. Friendly staff, quick check-in, and the location is pretty good. The pool was a bit small, but the hot tub was enjoyable. Would stay here again.
We stayed at this hotel as part of a very large group. They were able to accommodate us with a group breakfast and store our luggage. The rooms were very clean and quiet. The pool area and change rooms were very clean as well. The only downside was the very small hot tub! If you are not with a group you have the option of buying a voucher for a buffet breakfast. It is well worth the money! There were lots of parking spots with plugins for the cold nights! The rooms were basic but well appointed. The microwave and fridge and little extras like free bottled water and a variety of hot drink options were appreciated. We will definitely stay here again as it was great value for the money.
A huge Special Olympics Group and I Stayed at this hotel this weekend and it was lots of fun. Rooms on tower B from the 8 to 12 floors have a awesome view of Downtown Calgary. I was Super Impressed with the huge facelift or renovation they did the old way when this was the Coast hotel in the past was Very Ugly and dark inside I think the Walls were brown and lighting was very dark when I was just for the Special Olympics banquet and dance 12 years ago. After facelift a huge improvement and brighter and cleaner I'm sure this Hotel was closed a few months. I was very happy with my room and very clean and free bottled water and Coffee in room. Shower worked very well. Only thing is it's a little far from Downtown but the LRT takes you right to Downtown in a few minutes. I've been on it. Marlborough station is not too far. I didn't have the time to use the pool but I hope I would have enjoyed it.
Over the last several weeks, I have stayed at this property twice in two different room types. Both rooms were modern spacious and clean. The property has been recently upgraded with all of the amenities that you would expect in a full-service hotel. The staff throughout the property were professional and courteous! The breakfast buffet was better than most. I did like the option upon check-in of purchasing the Breakfast Buffet at a discount for the mornings that fit into my schedule. The location is OK, I would not call it central but it has good access to the major routes. Expect to drive to any destinations, it is definitely not a walkable neighborhood. There is some decent shopping near by and lots of Restaurant options, which can be hit or miss. The Front Desk should be able to steer you in the right direction. I am not a big fan of the Environmental Levy but I am sure that they are not the only property charging this fee. Obviously, the environment is important but in my opinion, this is just an excuse to force an additional fee upon the consumer. If the environment is so important, why did one room provide ceramic coffee cups and glasses and the second room had plastic glasses and disposable cups? Go figure! The only annoyance that I experienced was booking through the in-house on-site reservation agents. On both occasions I was quoted a rate higher than the posted rate on the Best Western website. The first agent acknowledged this lower rate and honoured it immediately. On the second booking the lower rate was not honoured until I provided proof of the lower rate. To be clear I had to provide a screen shot of the rate posted on the Best Western website to the Agent that is employed by the Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza Hotel. Give me a break! All this aside, I have enjoyed my stays and if I have a need to be in this quadrant of Calgary again, I would stay here. I would not have a problem recommending this property.
I stayed at this location for a business meeting. The rooms were clean and featured better than average furniture, towels and soaps. Room was quiet and the staff was friendly. Our meals was catered by the restaurant. It was okay. The in room service was better.
This hotel is renovated. I like the vanity - it's really spacious and separate from the shower and toilet. The beds are comfortable. Staff are good. Pool and hot tub could use a refresh, but overall I like staying here and would return.
Beautiful hotel with a nice pool, hot tub and gym...looks to be recently updated with modern decor. But the best part of my stay was the hot buffet breakfast with a made to order omelette station. This is just a lovely hotel with a wonderful restaurant and staff. You won't be disappointed!
Was unable to book the Whirlpool Suite room at the BW Premier Freeport Inn Calgary Airport location so decided to give this hotel a try and book one of their Jacuzzi Suites. Was surprised at how spacious the entire suite is … large sitting area with dining table and 'kitchenette', the separate bedroom with a comfortable king bed. The nice touches includes a small bench just inside the entrance where you could sit and remove your footwear, the surprising festive animal towels on the bed welcoming us, a wardrobe closet in the bedroom. We were just floored however when we walked into the 'luxurious' bathroom … with a large modern jetted tub, large rain shower style shower and a … Japanese style toilet! The water is a bit slow in warming up … the jacuzzi tub drain is a bit fiddly to operate Overall though, this is our new number one hotel in Calgary.
We went to Calgary for some Boxing Day shopping and stayed here. It was not busy, but it is a gem! We were upgraded to a suite which was wonderful and took in their breakfast buffet offering. The food was great, made to order omelettes and a variety of other items. Service was great. This property is on our list when we do a return trip.
We had adopted this as our official hotel having stayed here in its previous incarnation as the Coast Plaza. If anything, it has improved in the transition. Big kudos on their chef - the food is great! The staff is warm and welcoming as well as being knowledgable and helpful. We'll be back!
I would recommend to stay here, the service is great, rooms are lovely and we always have a great stay. The lobby is welcoming and friendly and it is easy to get too. Staff are very nice and I have never had any issues. Great pillows too :)
Hotel newly renovated. Staff friendly and helpful. Meals were good. Buffet at breakfast and lunch helpful for speedy meals very tasty too. Base room very good comfortable king size bed great shower. Close to 2 shopping centres and many specialty restaurants for variety
I booked a 2 night and was pleased that my Diamond level membership got my a free upgrade. It as to a one bedroom suite with jacuzzi tub.The suite was massive and my wife loved the high tech toliet.."heated seats!!" She wants one now...Staff was helpful, I needed a new hair dry and we got one promptly. Business centre was typical but no issues with printers and computer speed and so on.
We had special request to have adjoining rooms. My daughter was having major surgery and we were going to have to stay some extra time to be sure she'd be ok. Got them. And with king bed too. People are fantastic. The rooms were exactly what we asked for. The rate was well below what we had anticipated. Restaurant served good food. Overall, it made a difficult 3 days, so much easier on us all. Will definitely be back
Location great for where we had our course although not far from down town in rush hr may not be ideal! Excellent value especially for 4* services! Nice big Modern rooms, wifi, pool, parking & Buffet breakfast were all great! Wish check in was earlier then 3pm! Excellent customer service and BW rewards program!
We have stayed at many Best Westerns over the years, and this new Best Western in Calgary is the largest, by far the most luxurious, and the most friendly we ever stayed at. This Best Western truly IS a premier property. From the shuttle driver / doorman who offered his assistance on our arrival, to the extremely friendly front desk staff, and every other staff we came across, everybody greeted us with a genuine smile and hello. And it seems every customer would receive that. We stayed in a spacious one-bedroom jacuzzi suite - small kitchenette, dining area, and a huge, lux bathroom with dual sinks. Our bed was oh-so comfortable! Their rooms are well-appointed, and well thought out. We loved their large indoor pool with hot tub. Even the change rooms at the pool were upscale. From a grand piano in the lobby to high-end decor, we love this hotel, and we'll be back!
All of the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a seamless stay. Friendly and helpful staff from the front desk, lounge, restaurant, cleaning staff. I only stayed 2 nights but I would definitely stay there again.
I highly recommend Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre, Calgary, ALBERTA. The room was spacious, super clean, beautifully decorated, and the pillows and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! I absolutely loved everything about our stay. I just wish we didn't live 2600 miles (4184 km) away!
When I stay at Best Westerns, I generally know what to expect: not to be wowed and not to be royally pissed off. This was exactly one of those stays. Mishap: Based on the organization of my stay, the organizers were supposed to account for payment of room and taxes. As I was checking in, they advised I would be paying for my room which is incorrect, so there was a miscommunication on this part. Rectification: Front Desk called me within an hour after I checked in to advise the payment was taken care of. But it's not the best surprise to be told you have to pay when you're not supposed to. Breakfast: standard hotel buffet - I loved the hashbrowns, stir fried with green & red peppers and red onions. Room: Bed was super comfortable. Renovated washroom was really well done!
I stayed two nights at this hotel for a work conference. I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was clean, the rooms were large, and they offered a great price per night. The conference was catered by the hotel and the food was absolutely delicious, the staff was amazing as well.
This facility is set up beautifully for conference use. Everything is situated well and access to conference rooms is quick and easy. Restaurants and fitness facility are convenient. Staff is friendly, and helpful.
Recent acquisition for the Best Western chain. Extremely clean rooms with recent upgrades. Friendly helpful staff. Loads of outdoor parking with plugins for winter. Convenient location as long as you have a car.
Stayed here for two nights. On the upside, the room was nice and big, the wifi was reliable, and the food quality & value for money for the breakfast and lunch buffets were good. However, there were numerous issues which suggested the management should tighten up training and supervision of staff. For example: I left a breakfast order card hanging from my doorknob before going to bed one night; the following morning it had not been picked up. My check-in process was disorganised and my credit card imprint did not get taken which caused problems for ordering a room service dinner; I didn't get any apology for the inconvenience this caused. As well, staff allow people to butt in for check-in rather that prioritising people who are already standing in line. My hotel room key stopped working midway through my second day, and when I went to find out why, I was told accusingly it was because I should have already checked out, despite the fact that I was booked to stay for the following evening; again, no apology. Dinner in the restaurant had issues with service and timeliness. Two other issues - the hotel gym is cramped and extremely hot; a couple of floor fans to move around the air might make things more comfortable. As well, the left-hand treadmill randomly stopped or slowed down while I was trying to run on it. Lastly, recent rebranding is incomplete and the external signage still brands the hotel as a Coast Plaza which is very confusing.
We held an international sporting event with competitors from 11 different countries across North America, South America and the Caribbean. The Coast was our host hotel and banquet facility and did a superb job. They were accommodating, helpful and helped solve issues that came up. Huge kudo's the the Front Desk Team, without their stellar service, the event would not have been successful. So successful that the local committee has an open invite to host future events from the international selection committee. THANK YOU Coast Plaza
The hotel itself has been upgraded and the rooms are very comfortable. Food was average compared to excellent in previous years. The room had 2 chairs in it which I like so you don;t have to sit on the beds.
Staff are friendly and accomodating. Hotel is clean and rooms are comfortable. I mistakeninglyonly booked for one night when I needed two nights. The hotel had two conferences going on simutaneously so all the rooms were booked. The staff on different shifts were in touch with each other to book me a room as soon as there was a cancellation. They were able to accomodate me. I was so thankful.
