This was our first stay at this hotel and we were very impressed with the staff and with the condition of the building, rooms, and facilities. I was surprised to learn it wasn't brand new. Even the equipment in the exercise room all worked, and that is rare. Would stay again. Good job!

The room was clean. The A/C worked well. The bed was comfortable with many pillows. The breakfast was good. Some of the cleaning people did not smile or address us, but the kitchen crew and front desk attendant were very helpful and nice.

We appreciate your review and are pleased to hear the bed was comfortable, the room cool, and breakfast was good! Our heating and air-conditioning units are upgraded on a regular basis. Our entire staff genuinely want all guests to enjoy their stay and we are happy to hear your compliments of their helpfulness during your stay. We have a priority of cleanliness with this hotel and housekeeping puts in long days because we are short handed. We have new hires and for some it is their first job, with much to learn in a short time. Our goal is excellence, with a dedication to our trainees cleaning and customer service skills.

We stayed with our pets during a road trip for one night. This is an older hotel that has been renovated and is very clean. The room and bathroom are on the small side but otherwise our stay was great. Staff are courteous, if you have a pet it's easy access (can access your room from the outside), and there is a hot breakfast. It's just off the interstate but the room was quiet.

Thank you for the review. "Pet easy" is a good way to describe our “designated pet only rooms” which allows guests to bring pets directly into their room from the car, and makes walking pets easy as well. This system also protects our guests who have pet allergies. Thank you for mentioning our cleanliness, it is a priority for this hotel. We do have rooms with larger bathrooms in our newer section, however these rooms do not have direct access to the outside and we were unable to make them pet friendly for that reason.

A great pet friendly hotel. Door to the outside makes it really simple to unload the car and take out the dog. Very clean. The hard floors made it obvious that the room was clean, and worry free with the pet.

We take pride in the cleanliness of our entire hotel and feel we charge a fair price for the extra cleaning we do to maintaining our designated pet rooms. We value our pet traveling guests who pick up after their pets on outside walks, it makes our landscaped area enjoyable for all guests.

We were pleased to find this gem of a hotel in the friendly town of Buffalo. It is very convenient just off I-25 and close to the interesting historic downtown. Rooms were larger than you find in the more expensive hotels. We were on the second floor and the elevator was right there. The rooms were very clean and well furnished. The bed was comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep and was the best value of all places we have stayed in on our recent road trip.

Thank you Jerry, we appreciate the review. Our hotel has two room options for guests. Our newer section rooms (available on first and second floor) are larger with very spacious bathrooms. Our original section rooms (available on first floor only) are smaller, however, they have the option of entering the room from the parking lot, which makes loading and unloading luggage a breeze. These rooms also have a second door that leads to the hotel lobby and all hotel amenities. It is our pleasure to help guests find the room to meet their needs. We look forward to serving you again.

employees were awesome! Rooms were clean and comfortable. 20 people in our family gathering. All enjoyed the pool, the meeting room was set up for our food and fun time gathering. We were able to stay there till 10:00. We appreciated the desk clerks! Answered all questions and provided what we needed!

We stayed here on the way from Wisconsin to Oregon. The location was just down the road from great restaurants (The Bozeman Trail Steakhouse). The price was very fair. Due to Covid-19, it was a grab-and-go breakfast, which are normally terrible. This one, however, had a hot breakfast sandwich along with cheese, hard-boiled eggs, and muffins. A nice touch to what is typically a terrible breakfast. The heater in our room was very loud when it turned on, but that was our only gripe. We'd stay here again for sure.

At first I was a bit concerned about the location and if this would be a "colorful" experience with noise and drunkards and certain folks "hanging around". Not at all and it was super quiet and the bedding and vibe was very cozy. I thought another cool component was the room had an exterior AND interior corridor door. So I could get to my truck parked right out front any time I needed and also just go to the main lobby via an interior door entrance as well. What an interesting perk I felt. Great checkout experience and would give it 5 stars if it was a bit updated in the shower. I did feel the price was a bit high for the quality though. I have been finding places much cheaper along this cross country route with better quality. Just my take. It would make me question a repeat stay.

Our hotel is located within walking distance of two restaurants and a gas station directly across the street and more business within three or four block area. We are unsure why our location seemed negative to you. However, Buffalo is a gem of a small town with little or any of the “concerns” you listed. Our rooms with the two doors are our most requested rooms due to the ease of unloading luggage directly into your room, and a second door that leads to the front desk lobby and all amenities such as, pool/hot tub, exercise room, and guest laundry. We make continuous upgrades to this hotel and have plans in place for more this winter.

We truly enjoyed the Best Western Plus in Buffalo, WY. Chelsea, JR, Crystal, Dan (front desk), Mary, and Dan in maintenance were all exceptional and truly exceeded expectations. Great Team at this location as we sensed they really enjoy their individual customer service roles as well as a Fun Team camaraderie. The lobby is beautifully furnished and appointed with historical Native American photos as well as a lovely collection by a local photographer. Clean rooms, comfortable beds with great bedding, great water pressure and all amenities in top working order. All staff members were great in answering all our questions and filling us in on the area. Recommended a great place to eat right across the street called the Dash Inn which was amazing with a down home cooking menu. We were traveling and stopped in on the way to South Dakota then doubled back for our stay on the way home. We highly recommend this hidden gem and will definitely stay here in the future.

We went the extra mile instead of staying in Sundance. The front desk when we got there was brisk and not at all cordial. We had to ask questions to find out when breakfast was and never were told where. We were told it was a grab a sack but it was minimalist at best. Other BW hotels have given us at least a sandwich or burrito to worm up. We are elites with BW doesn't seem to matter to them. Room was good, clean and comfy but the front desk put us off. Nice freeway access.

We had a CLEAN, large and well appointed room. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The location is great easy on and off I-25 not far from on off I-90. We will stop again— so should you if you are on the Buffalo Wyoming area.

This property isn't worth staying at. The beds are too soft, the air conditioning is loud. The shower pressure was good. The breakfast was dismal. Based on my experience over the last few weeks of traveling, every hotel has tried to provide at least some hot option for breakfast making sure everything is safe. This was shipped to be a grab and go. One option has coffee, yogurt and fruit and they ran out of fruit! The other option was a lousy microwave breakfast sandwich and this nonexistent fruit. I think this property is using the continuing Covid crisis to cut costs at the expense of other Best Westerns that are really trying to please their patrons

Thank you for the review: We respectfully disagree with your review. Buffalo is having issues with COVID outbreaks like the rest of the nation. Our own staff members have had their infant's day care, and some grade school classes shut down due to COVID. We can't replace staff at a moment's notice. We accept and work with the reality we face as a business to keep guests and staff safe, children cared for, and our hotel open. We will continue with the “to go” bags, which have been well received and appreciated. Our hot breakfast sandwich is made with a pork tenderloin patty and we put the sandwich together ourselves. It is warmed in the microwave and delivered hot to the guest. We get our fruit from our local grocery store and it is rare that they or we run short. However, our front desk staff did ask if she could add an extra item to the bag, such as yogurt or a granola bar and most guests were happy with that offer. A buffet style breakfast in a small breakfast room like we have at this hotel, with COVID on the rise would be irresponsible.

I travel frequently between Colorado and Montana. My favorite layover spot in Buffalo WY is the SURE STAY HOTEL by Best Western. It is a great spot ,consistent, reliable, safe and very clean. Everyone who works there is professional, kind and accommodating. A very comfortable and reliable stay.

Stayed at this location in Buffalo two separate times. The second time the bathroom was not clean and had hair on the toilet, floor and in the tub. My son wasn't able to swim in the pool either because it was full of adults on a biker trip. Overall it was a decent hotel for a quicks night deep but be prepared to clean it yourself. And if you are ground floor be prepared to heat everyone loading and unloading their car at 5am.

This hotel was clean, had comfortable beds and pillows, with soft towels. Simple, but fun pool and hot tub. Choice between a hot or cold grab and go breakfast. We loved having two doors on the main level, one to the hallway, one to the parking lot. Friendly staff.

Sort of has all the amenities listed. The pool and hot tub looked nice but men standing around talking with each other eyeing everyone made it uncomfortable to use. Vending and ice machines out of order so if you want a cold drink go down the street to McDonald's. Bed was okay. It didn't smell musty or anything being an older property. Breakfast was a sack with a sausage muffing orange and bottle of water. Really. After everything in town is packed to the gills they can't put out a breakfast for guests.

Thank you LongLong Trailer, The men you mentioned in your review were the owner and his top repair man with, Leisure of Montana, one of the best pool and spa business's in the area. They were in town for the day to do some adjustments to a digital water system upgrade we made in spring to keep the pool and hot tub chemicals at optimum comfort levels. Because Leisure arrived at our hotel in the afternoon, all guests who came into the pool area were told the pool was under maintenance and it was a guests choice to stay or to go. Our ice machines are not out of order, nor have they been. Guests use our ice machines daily to fill up coolers with ice with no problems. Coke and Pepsi have been unable to provide us with reliable machines, we chose to put them out of order, saving guests from frustrations. As the COVID variant continues to rise, we made the decision to stay with the “to go” breakfast bag. A crowded breakfast room is not safe for our guests or staff. We have a small staff and do not want to see our hotel close due to illness. We are doing our part to keep things moving. This hotel has the original building and the new section. Our most requested rooms (although smaller) are first floor, original section with the two doors, which allow you to enter the room from the parking lot, a second door leads to hotel lobby and all amenities. Guests are welcome to check out our original, and newer section rooms (more spacious). We stand on our cleanliness and service.

Hotel or motel? My first floor had doors to a lobby and the parking lot outside. Never seen before. Very small town with not many choices but I trust Best Western but this branded BW was new to me. The desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. Not wanting a bagged breakfast, the gentleman who checked us in recommended a café in town which was very good for breakfast. Room was decent size with comfortable bed. Clean room and bathroom. Branded shampoo and conditioner made in Canada. A nice touch for a budget hotel. However, my friend's room (which I did not go in) he claimed was very musty and worse with the air conditioner on. This was not a problem with mine. We paid $125 plus tax which in my opinion is a little high for a budget style hotel but then nothing is cheap now after a year of closure.

Thank you bpdogs, the first floor rooms of this hotel were built in the “motel” style, being able to enter your room from the parking lot, with the added benefit of a second door to the hotel lobby and other amenities. A later addition to the hotel does not have that this feature, but has larger rooms. The “motel” style rooms are our most requested. We are continuing the “to go” breakfast as the COVID numbers continue to rise. We felt it was safer for staff and guests to not be in a busy, and sometimes crowded breakfast room. We do not know the room your friend stay in. All our AC units were cleaned in spring and again after the cotton wood trees shed their cotton. We monitor filters carefully. Your are correct, prices have risen for many of the supplies we use for the hotel and serving guests.

Clean and all the comforts of home, I stay here every time I head up to Montana. Very nice staff, and great amenities, I really love the two door exits, one into the hall and one right out to the parking lot. Makes unloading the car easy. Super nice office staff and good breakfast to go!

I paid top dollar for a very average stay. The room was clean and the AC worked, but several lightbulbs were out and the toilet didn't flush. There was absolutely nowhere except one tiny patch of dry grass to walk the dog without getting in the car and driving elsewhere. The hotel is right next to the highway. I was the only person on the premises to wear a mask. I definitely would look elsewhere next time. Not worth the extra $ over one of the cheap local motels.

Our hotel parking lot border is landscaped with aspen and maple trees, evergreen shrubs and flowering plants. Most of our guests have found a walk around the parking lot is adequate for their pets. There are sidewalks for longer walks leading from the hotel. Buffalo does have a dog run park, and we are happy to give guests directions to its location. With the continuing draught and high temperatures, the dry patch of grass you mentioned is due to the watering choices we have made to place our efforts on the survival of the many trees we have planted. An investment of thousands was made in them. As you enter the room and turn on the overhead light, floor lamps are set to turn on as well. If the over head light is not on, it can appear that the floor lamp is not working. We sent housekeeping to inspect the light bulbs and the toilet, we agree, both items we should have caught ourselves. We are doing our best to handle all travelers this year, vaccinated and unvaccinated. All the rooms in this hotel have independent heating and AC units which bring in fresh air from the outside. It is not recirculated air from a central location. Guests in their room are in a safe environment and all our rooms have windows that open, which ensures even more fresh air. With the rise of the Delta variant, we will continue to serve a ‘to go' breakfast to keep guests from spending time in a busy breakfast room. Clearly you found little value in your stay with us, which is not the review we want to receive. For the amenities our hotel offers we feel we charge a fair price. Our hot tub and pool had a major upgrade in equipment to digitally monitor the quality of the water. Our exercise equipment is top of the line Matrix brand, and we have a guest laundry for convenience. All our mattress and pillows are encased for further cleanliness. The cheap hotels do not do this. This year has seen a sharp increase in the cost of items we use in serving our guests, and maintaining this hotel.

The Best Western Plus hotels are a little nicer, seem to be cleaner, always have good breakfast whether it's a buffet or a bagged option. We have always found the staff to be friendly, professional, helpful in suggesting someplace to eat is a great value for the cost.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay both nights at SureStay in Buffalo. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are very clean. The sack breakfasts (because of Covid) were the best we have had at any motel. The pool and hot tub were awesome! We had been traveling on motorcycle with the 100 degree temps, so the pool was refreshing! Very, very nice motel!!!

We traveled to Buffalo, Wy. in order to stay in a first class Hotel, take a swim and soak in a hot tub. Both were excellent at this Hotel. The best steak house in Buffalo is within walking distance and we enjoyed that as well. Although we were on a leisure trip I had a zoom meeting to attend to and the internet connections were very good. We will do this again.

My husband and I had a wonderful an overnight stay at SureStay Best Western in Buffalo, Wyoming. Our room was on the first floor with an outside entrance from the parking lot, which made it easy to bring our luggage in and out of our room from our car. The was also an indoor door to the common hallway which lead to the lobby, indoor pool and guest laundry. The lobby had beautiful photos of Buffalo and other animals, as well as landscape photos, local art and a Buffalo head hung high on the wall by the check-in area. The pool was fantastic. Very clean and there was wonderful hot tub as well. Plenty of guest towels at the pool and many options for seating around the pool area. We used the guest laundry room which was just down the hall from our room. One washer and one dryer, along with a folding table. The front desk had plenty of quarters to make change. Mary at the front desk was not only helpful, but very knowledgeable about the area. We really enjoyed her pointing out the various photos and framed artwork in the lobby and hallways, and sharing her knowledge with us. We found that the staff in this hotel really made the extra effort to make their guests happy. Very enjoyable stay. Very happy guests.

Unfortunately, Bill Groethe, passed away in December of 2020. His collected works show the history and the beauty of the west. We are glad you enjoyed them.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Perfect. We only stayed the night. Grab and go breakfast (because of covid-19) was good. Would definitely stay again. We recommend eating at the Virginian Restaurant. Great food. Spendy but really good . Buffalo is a nice town.

Dear Wyominggabe We are sorry for the frustration the kids experienced. The soccer team rooms were booked in advance of the spa/pool repair problems. We had hoped parts and repairs could be made before the tournaments. It was not to be; there are supply chain problems due to increased demand for pools over COVID lockdown and the freeze in Texas this spring. We tried our best, and continue to all we can to have repairs completed. We advise all guests who book with us by phone with the spa/pool issue and we also tell guests at check-in. We will cancel the booking at no charge so they are free to stay at a hotel that meets their needs. We did let all guests know at check-in that our spa/pool were down.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room appeared to be recently renovated and was very clean. The fitness room was small, but had new equipment. The pool/hot tub area was also very clean. We had a room on the side away from the Highway and it was quiet.

The first room didn't meet my expectations. Was promptly corrected, by gracious, courteous staff. The room was spotless and comfortable even though it was a pet room. The grab and go breakfast sandwich was delicious! This is now my go to hotel in Buffalo, Wyoming.

When traveling West with a family member, on a ‘bucket list' trip to Yellowstone in winter, we happened upon the SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western in Buffalo. It ended up being so much more than just a place to sleep for the night. From the check-in with Dan, and meeting staff member Mary, and the owner too...it all just went beyond our expectations. The hospitality alone would keep us coming back, and the room was very clean and accommodating. Beds were comfortable, access was great on the ground floor with a door to the outside parking as well as to the inside hallway. When the weather delayed us from going north for a few hours, until the road conditions improved, we were able to stay in our room into the afternoon until we were ready to depart safely.

Driving with a full van of kids and grandkids we were packed in tight and with the room layout on the ground floor that opened to the parking lot and a inside hallway it was easy to unload the van into the room and load it up again in the morning. Rooms were large with very comfortable beds and we would stay here again on our way to Yellowstone.

We spent one night here, largely on its reputation as the rare Buffalo hotel to take Covid seriously. We were not disappointed. The hotel takes seriously masking, social distancing, and cleaning. Staff is friendly and proud of the safety measures, and that fact leaves guests feeling comfortable. Otherwise, internet is fast, beds are comfortable, and prices are reasonable. Recommended.

I chose this hotel even though the town is a bit smaller than the neighboring city of Sheridan because it was a little farther down my travel route with out going all the way to Casper. The hotel seemed a bit dated from the outside and the hotel room had a few chips and dings in the paint but overall was very clean and comfortable. The bed was nice and there were a good variety in the firmness of the pillows. The shower was hot and had good strong pressure. The free wireless internet was fast.

I have traveled the world, Europe, Asia, the former Soviet Union, stayed in more hotels than I can possibly recall; however, this is one experience that I will remember. Not only is this the best hotel for the price, but even superior to those I have stayed at more than twice the price. The entire facility is clean and well maintained, the service was at the level of a four star hotel. The rooms are well appointed with extremely high-end fixtures, beds, and bedding. And finally, though the breakfast room is closed due to the pandemic, they provided each of us with a breakfast grab bag that was filled with quality and delectable treats. I highly recommend this hotel to any and all! You will not be disappointed!

The front desk worker, Chelsea, went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure our stay was comfortable and even our departure. About a half hour of being on the road heading home, Chelsea called to inform us a lovable stuffed animal got left behind by my daughter. She said she would mail it to us!! The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The hot tub hot! But seriously, thank you to Chelsea.

The staff at the front desk was so nice and helpful. We made a same evening reservation on the 4th of July weekend during COVID and we needed help making sure we were getting the right space. Buffalo is a nice town but the hotel is near the highway on the outskirts of the main downtown area. There is a nice gas station conveniently located across the street for anything you might need. We were traveling with bikes on the back of our car and four young children. We felt very safe. The room was a good size, clean and well appointed. There was a lobby restroom that was well maintained and breakfast in the time of COVID was well organized. We had spent the previous night in Dalhart, TX and a stay in Buffalo, WY put us those few hours closer to our final destination in MT. For a family or someone just passing through. I would recommend this hotel and especially its very kind and helpful staff.

Kudos to Dan at the desk!! He is super helpful and so friendly! He gave us a lot of good tips about visiting this area while on our road trip. The pool was nice and warm... The only drawback was that the laundry facilities didn't work very well, particularly the dryers. I had to leave the motel with wet clothes. All in all though, a great place to stay!

Hotel was just okay. It was clean however the rooms were a little bit in disrepair. The workers were friendly and no complaints there. For the rating it had on TripAdvisor I expected better than it was.

Was told the pool and hot tub were being worked on and "should be fixed" by the end of the day. Then told it would be the next morning. Morning time was told by afternoon, then evening, then morning, etc All weekend long that was the story. When we checked out, we were told that the owner was still trying to reach the maintenance man.........just be honest, no one was working on the amenities. Breakfast is for the carbaholic only.....OJ, muffin, granola bar and apple.....not cool. Curtain rod was pulled half out of the ceiling and angled down causing the curtain to slide open on it's own.

“Just be honest”, we couldn't agree more. Our front desk attendant should not have promised a specific time on pool repairs, although it was not entirely her fault. We received the parts, only to discover when maintenance arrived to install them, that the right part, in the wrong size had been shipped. We had start over. Repairs could have been completed while you were here, had it not been for that issues. We did sincerely try and have taken steps to correct any misstatements by staff in the future. You declined our offer of another room when you reported the curtain rod to our front desk. We would have been happy to move you. You are correct about our breakfast; too many carbs. We are making changes for a much better start to the day!

It was my first stay at the hotel. It is right off the highway so easy to get to. Alot of places to eat withina few blocks. Lots of parking and a gas station right across the street. I would stay again.

We found this place after stopping elsewhere first. I am so glad I ended up here. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions concerning food, area, parking ect ect. The environment was A+ easily best we've seen on the road yet. The owner puts the money into this place and it shows unlike other places where they just use the business like an ATM. Clean clean and clean. We had children and they were completely safe here. Rooms were comfortable and stocked with the things that are so vital on the road. Shower was hot and was welcome. The atmosphere was just great I cannot stress that enough. There cleaning staff work here and it showed. Will use this place again and again.

We rolled into town like a tumbleweed and found this place on here and liked the look of it. Upon checking in the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Went the extra mile for us as were completely ignorant of the area. Rooms were cleaned and I mean good. None of that slime around fixtures or dirt under strings either your kids can run free and be safe here. Bed and shower was superb as well. Due to Covid-19 we were not able to take advantage of the pool or dining room but from what we saw excellent facilities. Parking was more than ample for our little convoy including a 26' bob truck with a car hauler. Vending machines are well stocked and creatively stocked! Will be staying here again when I come back for Yellowstone later in the year. STAY HERE!!!

Staff pointed out that hotel had cleaned elevator buttons, door handles, room furniture, etc. with disinfectant to stop spread of virus. Comfortable beds, nice rooms, pleasant front desk. A real bargain. Will stay there again.

This hotel was Well prepared to deal w/ the coronavirous. They made the guests feel safe. Great front desk staff. Very accommodating. The morning front deck clerk even wanted to make cetain we got something to eat before we hit the road. He suggested making a biscuit/ bacon sandwich, hard boiled eggs, tangelos, and coffee. He then helped me carry everything to the car so we could get on the road to get ahead of a bad snowstorm.

My family and I stayed in two rooms during a snowstorm that made the interstate unsafe for travel at night. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. We were put in ground-level pet rooms that had just been "redone" according to the desk clerk. They opened to the outside and inside which was handy. Both rooms had new "wood" flooring but still smelled faintly of dogs. The rooms were small but clean. We used the hot tub, which was great, but not the pool which was pretty chilly- even for our kids. The breakfast was good and included waffles, eggs, and the usual items. Overall, it was an affordable stop with basic amenities.

Thank you, Wyobooklover, for the review. A high quality vinyl plank flooring was professionally installed in our designated pet rooms a little over a year ago. After each guest stay, the floors are swept to remove pet hair, and then steam cleaned. Pet rooms require extra cleaning and we have made the investment at this hotel, to give our guests traveling with pets a good experience.

The staff was very helpful. Rooms were especially helpful for those traveling with pets. There was a door that opens directly outdoors,which was very helpful with a pet. I left my cell phone and they answered when I called looking for my phone.

We got a room on the 2nd floor in the 'new' part of the Hotel. No pets had ever been in the room. They have rooms were pets can stay but also have rooms where no pets ever can stay. The room was well appointed and clean. The internet was not as strong as we would have liked but we managed just fine. The bathroom was well lighted and had plenty of towels and washcloths. There was hot food for breakfast as well as fresh fruit. We would stay here again.

Excellent Motel with a strange name. As soon as you see the outside and then enter the lobby you know this motel is given much love and care. The entire motel is super clean and totally updated. The rooms have those special details that show you they really want you to have a great stay. From leather chairs, to fluffy all cotton towels, to modern shower curtains, to charging station for electronics, to very comfortable beds, this motel has it all. We try to stay here in our yearly trip west, we are never disappointed.

Driving to Denver for a USTA tournament from Missoula, MT, I stayed in Buffalo on the way south and again on the return north; it was about 1/2 way. The hotel was easy to find. The front desk clerks, Dan (southbound) and Sheri (northbound) were simply delightful. They were so kind and welcoming I was deeply moved. The room was very clean and oh so quite! The bed was a dream haven and I slept like a baby. The free breakfast really had a nice variety of items and the staff, once again, was helpful and grateful to serve. This is the place to stay if you are in the neighborhood!

This is a good hotel in Buffalo WY. It is a long strip of rooms on both sides -- it seems most have outside doors which we like. We were on the west side of the hotel and could easily walk our dog out past the parking lot.

We call them the "two door" rooms. We have dedicated several of these rooms as, "pet only rooms." It is a great convenience for our guests traveling with pets. It also keeps pets from the interior of the hotel, in recognition of guests who may have pet allergies. .

Right off highway. Rooms were clean and large. Typical breakfast fare. Only complaint was toilet seat had a crack in it, had to put a cloth over the crack. Zoom rooms have a door to the outside and a door to the hallway which is convenient for unloading your luggage

Thank you, rm, Your review sent me to the internet to look up "zoomroom," which is, a software based room for audio conferencing. While we don't have that ability, some of our first floor rooms, with the "two door" option, does make "zooming" in and out of the room with luggage, a breeze. We should have caught the toilet seat issue ourselves, and genuinely apologize. It is scheduled for replacement today.

We were very impressed with this hotel and the value was great. The bed was comfy and the wifi worked great. Buffalo, WY is a friendly and fun small town. We had fun eating at a local saloon that had Blues music.

The room was large and clean. The hotel is older and the AC is wall unit which I find loud and either too cold or too hot but most hotels in this price range have wall units. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. They offer essentials like the deodrant I forgot which is amazing for a budget hotel. The breakfast was really great! They had a waffle machine, scrambled eggs, bacon one day and sausage patty another along with juices, cereals, oatmeal and an assortment of breads, muffins and fruit. Things to know: - Wall unit ACs - Thin walls - we could hear every chair move below us in the breakfast room that for some reason people were in at all hours (room 203) - Pet friendly for a very reasonable $15 per pet fee! - Great location on the highway - Dash Inn was highly recommended for food locally (we were too busy to try it though) - Pool was cold but the hot tub was nice - If you're looking for a nice walk head towards the KOA and Hampton Inn down the sidewalk. The grounds of the Hampton Inn are stunning! A beautiful little creek and plenty of green grass. PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG AND SELF! Don't ruin it. :) - Mini fridge does not have a freezer - just a heads up - Microwave worked just fine - This is worth the nightly charge.

When I booked this hotel, I will admit I did not know what SureStay by BW was. Now I do and would probably not book there again. That's just me. Overall, the hotel was mostly clean, there were some small spider webs at the ceiling level, with a small spider still in it. The rooms in the older part of the hotel have a musty smell to them. Just takes some getting used to. The grandkids loved the pool. The breakfast was good, equally comparable to other all other BW hotels. Good stop for someone taking a budget minded trip. I didn't care for the 2 door option. Outside door into the room and and inside door to the hallway. However, it did make it easy to unload luggage from the vehicle into the room.

It is their economy hotel and offers basic essentials; free wifi, continental breakfast, and Best Western Rewards. Our hotel in Buffalo is a SureStay Plus. In addition to the offerings above, we have a pool, hottub, fitness room, guest laundry, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and last but not least, an iron & board, for last minute “touch-ups.” We take issue with your statement that our rooms have a musty odor you must get “used” to. The rooms with two doors, (not all rooms have that option) are the most requested rooms in this hotel. We work in this building every day, and would never get used to an unpleasant environment. We would have been happy to move you to another room with a single door had we known of your preference. We are here to serve, always let our front desk know. We did ask housekeeping to keep a sharper eye out in all rooms for spider webs, it is that time of year when more tend to show up. We do have the year round services of a pest control service.

We loved to stay here. This is really a nice hotel, all motel rooms have two doors one facing the hallway and one facing the parking lot. Our room was very clean, we even used the guest laundry which worked perfectly fine. Check-in was really uncomplicated and hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast had some hot choices as well as the typical stuff. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night but we would have loved to stay a little while longer.

The wife and I stayed one night at this hotel. Not really top shelf, but clean enough. We stayed in a room on the first floor that had both a inside door and outside door. The wife hates hotels/motels with outside doors. Why? Who knows! Anyways we did stay there one night.

Thank you, James, had we known at check-in of the "hate" of the "double doors" we would have happily moved you to another room. Only a portion of the ground floor rooms have the two doors; moving you to another room that met your needs would have been a snap. Always ask, we are here happy to serve our guests.

This hotel was older but very clean and updated. The front desk staff was especially helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Having both an inside and outside entrance to our room was especially helpful since we had to totally unload our vehicle due to a flat tire.

Hotel was easy to find off hi way. Rooms clean, breakfast kept up, items fresh. Checkin was difficult and no hot water in room. However the day shift staff accommodated me with a room to shower in. Probably will not stay there again.

Thank you, Christine, we did have a hot water heater that failed. All guests arriving at the hotel were told of the issue, given the option of a discount, or canceling a reservation at no charge and choosing another hotel.

We booked this while on the road. We arrived at 9 at night and the gentleman at the desk was very nice and accommodating. Our first floor room had a door to the hallway and another outside and we were able to park right in front of our door, very easy and fast to load and unload. The hotel is extremely clean and has very nice accommodations. The breakfast area was very clean and well stocked with lots of options. We were 3 adults and 2 young kids. Plenty of towels, glasses and cups with a real coffee maker, not the single cup ones.

We love our "freespirit" guests!

As I pulled into the property, my first though was why would I have made a reservation at a place like this. There is a much newer, large chain motel next door. The outside was questionable at best, but once inside I had a sigh of relief. The lobby was very nice, the front desk employee very friendly, a beautiful room with a large bathroom and a good morning breakfast. The price was right, our stay was great and trying to break a trip from SD to WA into somewhat equal driving days, I have found that stopping in Buffalo at the Sure Stay Plus will be a good place to stop.

All of the best love stories have one thing in common, you have to go against the odds to get there. I thought of this quote when I read your review. Buffalo is a great little town, and I think you will come to love it, as many of our return guests have. The owner of this hotel, has worked tirelessly on renovations, with more upgrades planned. Chuck, thank you, for taking a chance on "a place like this," we loved the review, and look forward to your return.

Average summer rates, clean and quiet, comfy beds, park in front of your room if you wish, pool, and substantial breakfast offerings. The host was friendly and offered good pointers for seeing sites in and around Buffalo. It's right off the interstate so it's very easy to access. Quick shop in the near vicinity.

Thank you, Wildflower, we appreciate the review. With all the rain we've had this year, the country side is lush with tall grasses and wildflowers, we hope you had a lovely time touring the sites around the Buffalo area.

This is a very neat, clean, and friendly place. The facility is very well-maintained and everything in our room worked as advertised. The breakfast was standard BW fare but with better than average pastries and a banana that was actually yellow, (as opposed to mottled brown!) High quality all around! Incidentally, they recommended the Winchester steak house down the street for dinner and so do we!

This hotel had one redeeming feature a great hot tub and good pool. This was a $130 at most hotel that I paid $230 for. I expected a better experience. The food items were awful, the eggs tasted like powder and the sausage needed squeezing out to be edible. The room smelled smoked in and the beds were very broken in . If there was room at the KOA in Buffalo, I would have had a better experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the internet worked well.

We are glad you liked the pool, hot tub staff and WIFI! The eggs are 100% real eggs and our sausage and bacon are cooked in a draining dish.The problem arises with a full house and refilling the sausage pan on the breakfast buffet.This is an issue we can, and will address. The room you stayed in has one king bed. The box springs, mattress, and pillowtop mattress cover, were a premium set, purchased four years ago. This hotel has also invested in encasements on every mattress and pillow in this hotel; a great feature. Your trip through Buffalo, was unfortunate timing, the Longmire Festival, brings in thousands of people; hotel rooms are booked solid for months in advance. Our rates are listed online. Last, but not least, we ask all guests to smoke outside away from the building, if there is a breeze the smoke smell can come through an open window, as it did in your case. We have looked at smoking enclosures; it would cost a great deal to meet requirements and installation. In the end, it may not fix the problem of cigarette smoke in the air.

We stayed here for one night on our trip from West Yellowstone back to Rapid City. Buffalo is a neat little town, and this hotel was a great place to rest up. It's clean, the beds were comfortable, it's right next to the highway, friendly staff, breakfast had everything we needed to fuel up, the price was right. It was also very convenient to have a first-floor room with a second door that led to the parking lot....unloading and loading luggage was a snap, because our car was parked right outside the door!

Nice little stay here. Clean, but a bit dated. Pool was satisfactory for our kids, Hot tub was nice. Breakfast was nice....standard hot continental buffet. Close to the Winchester Steakhouse, which was a great place for dinner.

One of the best accessible rooms we have stayed in. It was spacious and well laid out. Great selection of food at breakfast. Quiet rooms. We did not hear noise from the hallway even being across from the pool. Very nice pool and hot tub.

Needed a quiet room with a firm bed and plenty of water to shower the road off of me from work. I got all 3 needs covered and a decent price to go along with it. Sadly, I missed the breakfast by being an early riser and departing in the wee hours.

Motel is possibly an older motel, but updated and clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was hit and miss and not re-stocked very well until someone asked about it. Not much for a variety to choose from. Pool seemed nice, however the water was very cool, not very well heated IF the water was suppose to be. Location off the interstate was great, quick off and on to the interstate.

Thank you, Kim, for the review. You are correct, we have made many upgrades and have more planned. We are sorry you did not find a good selection for our breakfast. While we are an economy hotel, we try to provide a rounded breakfast offering. We have yogurt, fruit, waffles with strawberries, oatmeal, cold cereal/milk, French toast, muffins, white & wheat bread by the Wheat Montana Company, sweet rolls, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausage or bacon, along with orange juice, coffee and tea. We also offer by request; gluten free bread and turkey sausage for special dietary needs. We apologize for a lapse in service and brought this to the attention to our staff. Due to a recent pool repair, we drained and refilled the pool. The water may have been cooler for a short time.

We stayed here one night on our way to Yellowstone. Its right off the hwy so super convenient. Staff was nice and even gave us restaurant and activity suggestions. The pool was broken so that was a bummer for our kids but overall a great stay.

I am here to say this is the best hotel staff I have ever experienced. I have stayed in many hotels and have never seen a staff so accommodating. My husband is paralyzed and most of the times accessible means one bed, and a raised toilet. But this hotel accommodating means so much more. From the initial phone call to our arrival the staff bent over backwards to help us out. I will stay here every time I come to Buffalo. This was truly the best experience we have ever had. I would proudly recommend the Sure Stay by Best Western to anyone that comes to Buffalo. 10 stars for me! Thanks for making our stay wonderful. What a great staff as they are so helpful!

Easy to find, close to highway, friendly staff, rooms very clean and the breakfast served was very tasty. We were on our way to Yellowstone and a few other places and we needed a good nights rest and very easily found this hotel. It was refreshing to still find very good rates at the last minute. Nearly anyone could afford this hotel. The amenities were amazing. We did not use the pool but trust me when I say it is beautiful. We got in late and both Richard the owner and Dan at the desk were so helpful and their honesty was a breath of fresh air! They had an answer for all our questions. We may stay again on our way home and definitely would come back another trip!

Thank you for the compliments to our staff. They genuinely enjoy serving our guests, and will appreciate your kind words. Buffalo is a great little town and you are correct, while we have all the fast food offerings, we also have independently owned restaurants with some very tasty dining options.

We stayed here twice on a cross country road trip. We have stayed here previously so that's why we choose this place again. The last time we stayed it was part of the Choice Hotels chain but has since become part of Best Western. It is still a very nice place to stay and we experienced the same nice, clean rooms and very friendly staff as before. Our first stay in April was a OK despite a heating unit that made noise during the night but our second stay in May was better without a noisy heater.

We also have instructions in each room to help set the heaters for a quiet and comfortable stay. We look forward to your return, we could not do it without the loyalty of our return guests.

We're moving to Buffalo and have stayed here twice now to support meetings with our bank and builders. The property is older, but well maintained and the room rates are very competitive. The venue meets out needs perfectly.

This hotel was very clean, very friendly & close to a great restaurant. Immediately off the highway but had to walk under the highway to the restaurant. After driving 550 miles it was a very enjoyable walk. Very quiet and excellent breakfast with eggs, sausage and bacon, waffles etc. delicious.

When we arrived we were greeted by Chelsea who was very welcoming, helpful and incredibly friendly and efficient. Our room was spotlessly clean and had a very comfortable bed.The breakfast was enjoyable and set us up for the day. We asked about restaurants for dinner and Chelsea recommended a couple of options one of which was the Winchester about 10-15 walk from the hotel. We decided to go there and enjoyed an excellent meal with impeccable service and very reasonable. Overall a very nice stay.

This was our second stop in a weeklong motorcycle trip and day two was a long one. Wanted a break from the bike and thought a cab to dinner would be perfect! Unfortunately no cabs, Uber or Lyft. We booked this hotel thru a different website and thought we were all set? Got there and our reservation was booked for the previous day. Not a problem. The couldn't credit the website but they gave us the night for free. Great room, comfy bed and quiet. Breakfast was great. Didn't get the gentleman's name at the desk but he was so pleasant and courteous. It was a great stay and made us feel a whole lot better after traveling 7 hours by car with a dog! My family mad ea week trip through Wyoming and central Montana. This by far was the best hotel. The price paid at $125/night for 2x queens was a great value. The hotel staff was VERY friendly and welcoming, the room was very clean, bright, and current, the beds were the most comfortable we had, and the breakfast was the best at all of the hotels we stayed at (although still like like most hotels it's still limited).

This is a third generation, sustainable farmed bread that features some of the highest quality wheat in the world.

We stopped here for an overnight stay on the way to Montana, The room was very clean, the bed and pillows were super comfortable, and the room had plenty of space, The breakfast was good. I have no complaints. I would definitely stay here again.

Wife and I stayed July 3rd and 4th, 2018, and we had a very nice stay. We stayed on the upper (2nd) floor, East side of hotel. It was very quiet at all times. Hotel staff was very friendly, breakfast was the typical Best Western breakfast..filling and good. This is an older property, but I thought it was well maintained. Our room was roomy enough, slept well on the bed, and the bath towels were really nice and soft. There is a grassy field to the east of the property, and one afternoon I watched a white tail deer feeding, the next afternoon I watched two hen turkeys and 12 chicks going through the grass, eating. Not an advertised feature, but it was a cool thing to see.I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. We would definitely stay here again.

Thank you,Tom, for mentioning the turkeys. They are an unexpected treat for many guests, and we enjoy them year around as our hotel is on their grazing path. One morning enough of them passed by our front door, that our automatic door opened for them. The turkeys hearing the sound, all stopped and peered intently into the hotel lobby, I was thinking, “I may be booking a room for a few turkeys today.” However, they thought better of entering and continued on their well-traveled path through Buffalo as they have for many years, and with the new batch of chicks you saw, will continue on for years to come. We loved the great note you posted and hope you do return, we will be here, along with the turkeys!

Very friendly and accommodation was to our needs. We wanted a bigger room and they were able to make the change easily. We had troubles with our booking agent and they were very helpful in solving the problem.

We were welcomed by a friendly staff member and given a top floor, quiet room. The room was clean and comfortable. Mattress was comfortable. We had no complaints and would stay again if in the area. Breakfast was the usual offerings. They suggested we eat at Winchester's Steakhouse right down the road and it was excellent. Probably best meal on a three week trip. A lot of fast food places nearby also

Day 3 of Ch. 17 bike trip around US. Booked this property for the location and amenities. Excellent choice. After being on the bike all day in Yellowstone, was nice to have the hot tub and pool. Walked to Bozeman Trail Steakhouse, but also close to other restaurants. Staff were very pleasant and inviting. Room was clean and well appointed. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was nicely presented, well stocked and fresh. Overall, very impressed and would highly recommend to anyone in the area. US16 is a beautiful highway for motorcycling.

Listed as one of the top 10 motorcycle rides in the United States is Beartooth Pass, located in the northeast corner of Wyoming. It is known as one of the most diverse ecosystems accessible by car (or motorcycle), and you can get there from Buffalo in 4 ½ hours. We welcome all motorcycle guests and appreciate those who stay with us each year as they enjoy touring beautiful Wyoming!

Great location from both I-90 or I-25. Super clean, comfortable beds, well done breakfast. All the amenities to get a family vacation or couples weekend off to a great start. Had a room facing the interstate, and no noise bothered me, impressive as a light sleeper. Will be staying here again.

Great hotel...rooms are clean...bed was comfy-not to hard or soft. Breakfast was excellent...they had french toast. Staff was very friendly. Hot tub and pool were nice too. We would stay there again!!!

The desk clerk was so kind and made us feel welcome, we were very tired after a long day. The staff was extremely pleasant and friendly. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast selections were numerous and the staff person on duty that morning was so attentive she came out to ask us if we needed anything else. Thank you!

Stayed here just one night on our way through to Yellowstone. The service was friendly and helpful although we were bummed that the hot tub had been out of order and wasn't in service after a long day of traveling. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. A descent place for the $$

I would stay here again. The front desk receptionist was very polite and friendly. She provided lots of information about the town of Buffalo, such as places to eat and things to see in the area.The room was clean, nicely decorated and the bathroom was spotless. The breakfast was tasty and hot. A great way to start the day.

We were greeted by a wonderful receptionist and a clean lobby. Very personable and accommodating. She also gave us a very fair price. She even took into account parking our long rig near our room. We had a door to the exterior as well as the interior of the hotel. Very convenient. Breakfast was perfect. Our room was clean and we had plenty of towels and supplies. Very happy with our stay.

This property is a great choice with easy access to two major highways and city center. The pool and hot tub are clean and a perfect temp. The exercise facility is just right if you want to get sweaty. ?? Overall a perfect spot for our visit in Buffalo, Wy.

We very much enjoyed this stay. We had a ground level floor that had a door going directly out and a door into the hotel. It was very clean even though it was a pet room! I could find any evidence of former animals, no smells, hair, or stains. The pool was great as well! Well maintained location and the breakfast was good. Recommend for anyone who is staying in Buffalo.

Stayed in the Sure Stay during the last weekend in January. The place is immaculate. The clerk was very friendly. The rooms are basic and are as clean as a surgical suite. The beds were fresh and comfortable. The continental breakfast offered warm, fresh breakfast; far more than the buffet of carbs that are offered at most hotels. I highly recommend this hotel.

This was an exceptional stay. Extremely clean. Huge breakfast spread. Pool was clean. I will come back. Staff was respectful. Cleanest hotel I have ever been to. I was in a room nearest the highways and had only slight road noise. I had a good nights rest. The room was clean, comfortable, and roomy. It was nice to have both an interior door to the hallway and an exterior door to the parking lot. Only small issues in the bathroom where a towel rack not secured tight to the wall behind the toilet and paint on the ceiling around the heat light and fan. The breakfast was good with the standard items that one expects. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties, waffles with orange juice is what I had.

We stayed here after a long drive from Moab, UT. Easy freeway access and this property is reasonably priced as a waypoint stop. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was helpful in directing us to a restaurant for dinner.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The finishes and the bedding were great. They have a very ice hot tub and pool. The room was very quiet even though it is right next to the interstate which makes it very easy to find and access. Parking was spacious and offered room for trucks with trailers. I would definitely stay there again.

In addition to the spacious parking you mentioned, we want to let guests know that some of our first floor rooms also have outside electric outlets for engine block heaters as we head into the colder winter temperatures. We found this hotel to be right off the highway with very easy access. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. All staffing that we met had smiles for us and said hello. The front desk staff were very helpful with restaurants close to the hotel. There are 2 steakhouses very close to the hotel and there is a gas station right across the street. We stayed for a night visiting family in town. The hotel was decorated for Christmas and very adorably done. They even painted their windows. We highly recommend this hotel

My wife and I spend one night here while passing though Buffalo on a recent road trip. The hotel was ideally located near the freeway, the staff were wonderful, the room was clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was all we needed to start our day. After a long days driving it was great to relax in a pool and hot tub.

We stayed at the Sure Stay Plus for a weekend away to celebrate our anniversary. We were there a total of 3 nights. We arrived late evening the first night and I immediately noticed how good the building smelled when we walked into the beautiful, homey lobby. From the moment we checked in, until the moment we checked out, we had very pleasant service! The staff are very polite and helpful. Each morning we were greeted in the hall by “hello's” and “good mornings” by the housekeepers & other staff. I can't say that I've ever felt so welcome at a hotel before. On one morning at breakfast, another guest managed to spill and make a big mess of waffle batter, and he was less than polite about it. I was especially impressed at how the morning staff handled the situation. I personally would have been aggravated, but she was very nice about it all while she cleaned the mess very quickly, even though the guest wasn't very apologetic. That left a great impression on me. The breakfast is excellent! Fresh fruit, eggs, sausage/bacon, waffles, & plenty of variety. We got a filling breakfast each morning. The breakfast area was always spotless & there is plenty of room & seating. There's TV and a daily newspaper available while you eat. Fresh Hot coffee was always available. We are an active couple, so we're grateful for the nice equipment in the exercise room, along with a pool that isn't freezing cold. The pool and hot tub are very nice and very clean! We stayed in a single king room. It was very spacious and updated. The amenities were great for our extended stay: charging station, fridge, microwave, TV, and the perfect amount of furniture. The bed and pillows are very comfortable as well. The bathroom has beautiful granite & quality toiletries & linens. My favorite, by far though was the shower. The shower head was amazing! Perfect pressure and never ran out of hot water. I wish I could have taken it home! We are outdoor enthusiasts that enjoy the mountains and hiking, & enjoyed the history in downtown Buffalo. The hotel made our visit to this beautiful, friendly town a perfect get away. It has all our preferences in a hotel. We will definitely stay again and recommend you to everyone! Thank you!

Thank you so much for shining a light on our breakfast and housekeeping staff, your thoughtful words will put a smile on their face and is genuine recognition and appreciation of the work they do. The owner of this hotel will be so pleased that you LOVED the shower head, he handpicked them (after having the same experience) and personally installed them in every room! With your keen eye for detail, I know why you found Buffalo so beautiful. This little town with all its charm will call you back again and again. There's a Motel 6 up the road in Sheridan that will save you about $30. But, you won't get the extras you get here. The room is considerably larger than the 6, but still not what I would call roomy. You get a good breakfast, scrambled eggs and bacon when I was there. There's also all the usual items for a good motel breakfast. I didn't notice the waffles (what a surprise :) ). I don't expect that you'll see the family of wild turkeys, in the parking lot, at the 6, but you might. This is, after all, Wyoming. The beds were good. The bathroom was small but OK. The AC pretty much worked, for October. They charge an extra $10 for your dog, which is why I didn't give a four. If you don't have a pet :(, you only have to pay an extra $20 over the 6. That makes it a really good deal.

We do have waffles and I am sorry you missed them! I'm glad you didn't miss the wild turkeys that pass through the parking lot each morning as they wind their way through Buffalo. We enjoy watching them as much as the guests. The $10.00 charge for pets is to cover the extra cleaning that we do to all pet rooms, regardless of the size or type of pet. This is important for our guests and their pets. Thanks for the review!

Spent 2 nights at this hotel recently while visiting friends in Buffalo. Selected this hotel because of their connection with Best Western. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ground floor room was exactly what we had requested as we have a service dog in training. The room's design allowed access to both the parking lot and the hallway to the front desk. The only reason I didn't rate this hotel a 5 star as the rooms and establishment does show signs of wear and is older, but we would definitely stay here again when visiting the area. The breakfast offered was complete with eggs and bacon/sausage and a good variety of other items.

Our plan was to stay in Sheridan, but we couldn't get a room. The Best Western reservations suggested this hotel as a part of their group. I'm fairly picky about where I stay and was hesitant at first, but was pleasantly surprised. We were in the "newer part" and the room was large and very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for mentioning our hotel has two sections; older and newer. We have a priority on cleanliness for all our rooms and we are glad to hear we met your standards! While our older section has smaller rooms & bathrooms, it is a tradeoff some guests are willing to make to have parking access outside their room door, as well as access to all hotel amenities through a second door.
