Best hotel in Buenos Aires. Can't find fault in anything at all. Staff excellent, food and restaurant excellent. Location perfect. Gym excellent and the massages are the best my son and myself have ever had anywhere in the world (and we've had a fair few). Thank you to all at the Madero.
Realy is perfect service, breakfast all concepts are perfect , may be exchange money isent the best price ..but we change late in the night .and the recommendation on how to meet Tigre , was not the most appropriate. They really need to improve in this regard.
My family and I stayed here for a full week and had an enchanted experience. Angel at Red Resto treated us like family, every day. We just got home today and we already miss him! And truly all the staff throughout the hotel and restaurant, bar, and spa were very good to us, despite us not speaking Spanish very well. Everyone really took great care of us. Sebastian was great to us, as were Julio and Maximiliano and many many others! We highly recommend Hotel Madero to anyone hesitant to travel here due to not speaking Spanish. Most of the hotel staff speaks very good English and will kindly help you if you want to try to speak Spanish. As a side note: Buenos Aires is beautiful and is like old European architecture in the heart of the city meeting the modern architecture of Puerto Madero. The people are very kind despite the economy of Argentina suffering in recent years. We heard there are some pickpocket issues in other areas of Buenos Aires, but not in Puerto Madero. Overall just highly highly recommend Hotel Madero! The restaurant is very fine dining too! Impeccable flavors and clearly skillful chefs!
The location is very good, situated in the district of Puerto Madero. It's a contemporary area surrounded by new buildings and stores, with a supermarket and several other shops within walking distance, as well as numerous restaurants along the corniche. Additionally, it's a short walk to downtown, making the location very convenient. The hotel appears to be an old apartment building that has been renovated. The lobby and ground floor are nicely decorated, providing a welcoming atmosphere. However, the rooms are the hotel's weakness and hence my 4 stars rating. They are old and lack charm or luxury. The bathtub has cracks, and the toiletries are of cheap quality. The gym is decent but small. There is a sauna as well and a pool (that I did not use). Wifi is super fast and has good coverage all around the hotel. Service, on the other hand, is attentive and very nice. Everyone was courteous and polite, which was a positive aspect of the stay. Breakfast is good, but they really need to improve their coffee; it's shameful. There's a nice coffee shop/bakery called Ble across the street where I recommend having breakfast instead. They serve the best croissants and excellent coffee.
Amazing stuff, great location in Puerto Madero and spacious rooms with wonderful views. We spent 3 nights and we didn't want to go home. Ailin and Dario at the front desk were very attentive and professional. We appreciate all your help! Looking forward to come back any time soon.
Excellent experience. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room was spacious with good ventilation. The faculty dinner for my husband's meeting was actually held at the hotel restaurant and it was very good. Though the pool was closed for maintenance, a special thank you goes out to Concierge Sebastien who went above and beyond to make arrangements for me to train at another pool.
This hotel was in the perfect spot to get picked up for our trip to fly to the falls, Tango show, and close to the port to catch our Princess Cruise. It was also a safe place and very close to take the river walk to area restaurants and bars. The hotel restaurant and bar was very good and comfortable. The breakfast served was great. I would stay there again.
Hotel very well located , I have been there lately for a fashion show and the organization from the hotel was excellent...Apetitizers, food, staff was very nice, nice facilities, beautiful, very well manteined, loved the Art exhibitions,
The hotel Madero was a perfect choice for our stay in Buenos Aires. This luxury hotel is centrallt located in the new part of town, Puerto Madero and we could walk to numeros gastronomic areas and take a taxi to all the nearby areas of San Telmo, Palermo and Reoleta. All the hotel personnel was very professional and courteous, the concierge Sebastian was the best and Axel in the front service was very helpful with all our needs and luggage handling. We recommend this hotel to everyone coming to Buenos Aires.
This hotel, though not right in the city centre is a short walk or taxi ride away. The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially as my Spanish was practically non existent! The rooms were very large, clean and tasteful. A very nice bar and breakfast room made it an ideal base. The only thing on a downside was that on our first visit we were put in a room overlooking the streets. This in itself was no problem but the boy racers with what sounded like jet engine propulsion, out and about ‘til all hours were, as the sound insulation on the windows was quite poor. On our return after a weekend away we were given an internal room with a nice balcony. In this one you could hardly hear any traffic.
The superior room is generously sized and has a very comfortable king-size bed. The decor and furniture are a bit banged up, but the room is clean and tidy. The breakfast and bar staff are all very friendly and make an effort to help if you are not fluent in Spanish. The front desk staff were very knowledgeable on transport options and tourist destinations. The hotel is in a good location and we felt very safe walking around it down to the river
Decent hotel for a one night stay in Buenos Aires. Booked a superior room which was huge with a kitchenette including a coffee machine, pods, kettle and tea bags. Strange room in the middle of the hotel with glass walls either side looking over courtyards. Not a lot of character but preferable to staying in the big chain hotels. Location is great - across the river from the bustle of the city centre with lovely river walk and lots of cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk. It was perfect for our last night in Buenos Aires before flying home after a cruise as we had already seen all the city sights.
Old favorite. 4 star, not 5 by any means. Walk to all the fabulous restaurants on the Puerto Madero. Large room. Beds lumpy and saggy. No coffee in room. Good AC. Love the bar and breakfast was typically OK. All seats in lobby were uncomfortable = wide, saggy and hard to get up from. Furniture in the rooms and in the lobby need updated. It is the staff that shines; friendly, professional. Sadly, my next visit will be to the Hilton.
I've been in this hotel for less than an hour and it's already one of my favorite places on earth. Clean, comfortable, and the service so far has been way over most Marriott and Hilton hotels for a price point that I didn't care about, until I saw how much I get.
Very good and clean hotel with good breakfast and nice and helpful staff. The rooms were large and clean. The bar was open late :) the hotel is located close to the center of BA, with many nice restaurants and bars nearby. I recommend this hotel, even though it was not a low budget place.
Great location, friendly, solicitous staff, large clean room, usual toiletries and vanity kits, bath/shower combo. On the negative side, no coffee in the room and we were told if we wanted coffee to contact room service. However there is a kettle so if you want to stay here, bring your supplies!. There is also no iron nor microwave (was stated on website).
On my 3rd trip to Buenos Aires I tried Puerto Madero neighborhood and just loved it. What blew me away about this Hotel is that I arrived on a very early flight from NYC and they let me check in before 11 am. I travel a ridiculous amount (100 Countries) and first time a hotel has accommodated me this early.
We really enjoyed this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is nicely located. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated and our room had exquisite water pressure for the shower. The bed was very comfortable. Overall a wonderful stay!
I stayed in hotel Madero 3 unforgettable days. Great location , perfect view, big and clean room with comfortable kingside beds, and good breakfast !! But the most important- people who work in Madero , supportive , professional , and kind . Basically I want highlight Martin Merino ,guest service manager .Thank you , Martin! We like your gorgeous city because you help us many times !! I highly recommend hotel Madero for everyone who are going to visit Buenos Aires!
Spacious rooms, excellent location, and a very safe and pleasant area assessable to parks main attractions, and not very far from the cruise terminal. Additionally, it's very close to the AEP airport. I will definitely recommend and would tie again in the near future.
The room was attractive, clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and has a great variety of food. The restaurant served a great dinner at a reasonable price. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and professional. This was an excellent choice for our stay in Buenos Aires.
I started out at the Hilton, and then I moved over to the current hotel, which in my opinion was much better. Martin and the staff were fabulous. I would highly recommend it to our friends and will definitely visit again the staff and everyone was polite and helpful. Highly recommend it to anyone done.
Why are the other reviews so good? - Bathrooms are dated and disgusting, please remodel - We had a group of 3 people who were each over 70, and no one offered to help with their bags while checking out - They have decent dinner, which means they know how to cook, but their free breakfast is inedible. Just charge money and make it taste better - Reception is always understaffed and has a long line - I paid for a corner room and had the view of a wall and a tree
I had booked three hotels for my trip and decided to stay at this one because several colleagues were going to. It was an excellent choice because the rooms are really very nice and well-appointed--possibly among my favourites from any hotel. But even more because the staff is so wonderful. Special mention of the concierge, Sebastien and the Front Desk staff, but also the breakfast team. I had a wonderful time and recommend this if your budget will allow. Downsides: Very limited options for vegetarians eating in and while Puerto Madero is nice, you will not easily find a little grocery store or pharmacy. If those things are important to you, you are better off in one of the older areas.
Very happy to have had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Madero for an international conference recently. I wasn't sure how good the standards would be given that it doesn't have the gravitas of some of the bigger name international hotel chains, yet in my view it's a plus that it's locally owned and operated. The rooms are extremely nice and well equipped. The breakfast buffet was delectable and tastefully chosen, with not too many options but each and every one being high quality. The coffee was some of the best I've ever tried in my life! The gym and pool are modest but do the trick perfectly well, with the added bonus of a jacuzzi and sauna for relaxing. The hotel staff were nothing but wonderful in all of my interactions with them, and they seemed pleased to help me out at every opportunity. The restaurant was also a real treat. On the whole, Hotel Madero is an excellent choice for a visit to Buenos Aires, strategically located in one of the nicest neighborhoods in the city. Five stars for sure.
The hotel is very centrally located in the Puerto Madero district - a new posh district at the port of Buenos Aires with great restaurants, and at walking distance from other central sites. Rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, very well equipped for a pleasant stay. Breakfast is great. Having said this one of the most important assets of this hotel is its staff! they have been all extremely helpful, polite, smiling, "amables" making the stay very pleasant. From the welcome at the reception, to the smile and great service at breakfast, to the excellent room service, that made my stay stand out compared to other hotels!
We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Madero and as we live in the Docklands area of London really enjoyed bein in the similar area of Buenos Aires! The hotel, room and facilities are excellent, but we felt it did not have any soul!. Nice hotels and happy to stay there but a bit antiseptic. Sorry if i am being harsh! However, i would stay there again quite happily.
Staying at this place is amazing! My first encounter was with Martin who went above and beyond to help me with my stay. From helping me fix my phone to finding a barber shop, he made me feel at home. His English was also perfect, which is helpful for English speaking foreigners. Thank you so much Martin! All the staff went above and beyond as well. I needed a late check-out and they were accommodating. The breakfast buffet had great choices for hot breakfast (eggs, pancakes, bacon), cold cuts and a wide variety of pastries and fruits. The room was spacious, very clean, and the view of the river was nice. About the location, it is in a very nice and safe spot. Only a walk from one of the greatest tango shows (Rojo Tango) and central for the ferries. Highly recommend, 5-stars easily, and I look forward to returning!!
A beautiful hotel located in the newest and most luxurious neighborhood of Buenos Aires, splendidly decorated, with modern and comfortable rooms, that provides excellent service, including a wonderful breakfast buffet and gourmet dining at its restaurant (during my stay a special dinner menus prepared by the Chef of the Zuccardi Winery was being offered). The hotel also has bar that offers great food and drinks. Although the hotel is located in this newer area of Buenos Aires, it is still walking distance from the historic San Telmo area that has some very interesting shops (do not miss the antiques) and good restaurants (some in the market). All of the employees are extremely attentive and service oriented (my gratitude to all). A special thanks to Martin Moreno, the Guest Services Manager, for the room upgrade. Sergio F.
Beautiful hotel in a great location. The hotel is close to the river in a quieter part of the city but walikng distance to good bars and restuarants. The staff went out of their way to make sure that we had all that we needed for a pleasant stay.
We stayed in this hotel over Christmas and the place was a madhouse so no doubt that colored my experience particularly because it seemed short-staffed given how many people they were trying to serve in the restaurant for both dinner and particularly for breakfast. The rooms were quite nice and modern; the little porch was lovely, though one of our two rooms had a broken lock. If you're not familiar with Buenos Aires, consider the location: it's fine if you want to be a little bit outside the city and we enjoyed walking along the canal but this whole part of town seems removed and artificial to me. For the money, I'd definitely recommend staying downtown.
We had a really nice time at the Hotel Madero. The customer service was excellent and Sebastien in particular was wonderful and very helpful. We had a couple of minor issues with our room and the staff put us into a new room very quickly and we're very attentive. Highly recommended if you're looking for a nice hotel with great service in a safe area.
For almost 2 months we have been trying to book new years eve in this hotel. Since the beginning, the service has been terrible. It takes nearly 1 week to reply to each e-mail, the phone does not answer, and in each e-mail, they respond to a part and not the rest. For more than 1 month, we wanted to book and pay for the new years eve party but it seems that the hotel was doing everything to avoid it. I don't know if it is because we are Brazilians, or maybe they do not have the intention to sell, but the point is, we couldn't book or buy online, and now we are in Buenos Aires, and they sad that it is full and we cannot help by of book anymore. A not gentle woman at all, was totally disinterested on us, since the beginning, and now she said, "I am sorry, I cannot do anything for you, just stay on the waiting list with more than 50 people, like it is not my problem" In a hotel that is soo terrible sending a party, can you imagine if you need something or have any problem there? I totally do not recommend this place at all with people who do not care about customers. Porto Madero has excellent hotels; I totally do not recommend this one!!
Nice hotel in the Madero quarter of Buenos Aires , close to the city center. Very good breakfast, fine dinner. They serve a small breakfast in case of early check out. Service very good. Rooms are clean and spacious. Nice view from the balcony on the city.
We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Hotel Madero for a total of 10 nights in November 2022 (8 nights at first, and then we returned for 2 nights later in our trip). Hotel Madero is a fantastic hotel! All of the staff [right across the areas of reception, concierge, restaurant (both breakfast and dinner), bar and porters] were exceptionally good...they were very friendly, warm and pleasant to deal with, as well as being efficient and providing great service! Our room was spacious, modern, clean and very comfortable...and had a wonderful view. The bed and pillows were of excellent quality and comfort. The hotel is lovely and modern, and is in a terrific and picturesque location, near Dique 2. The area around Hotel Madero is fresh, clean, leafy, open, relaxed and modern. Along the esplanade by the side of the river/diques, there are numerous restaurants and bars which are very close to where Hotel Madero is located. We ate out on a couple of nights, but with the Hotel and its staff being so good, we actually chose to eat at the Hotel restaurant most nights. We are ssooo pleased we chose to stay at Hotel Madero (recommended by our travel agent daughter) instead of staying at a hotel in the old, crowded part of the city. The facilities at the Hotel are first class; the breakfast and dinner menus were excellent; the food and wine delicious; the staff outstanding! We were there on holidays, but while there we noticed the Hotel had wonderful meeting rooms and conference facilities for any person (or business/corporation) considering having a business event or function there. We felt very safe indeed at the Hotel and in the surrounding neighbourhood. The security at Hotel Madero is first class, with one security man outside the Hotel and 2 security men (well dressed in dark suits) standing inside in the downstairs lobby/reception area. There were always porters on hand, and they were very willing, helpful and courteous. We are from NSW, Australia...and we had no language problems at Hotel Madero as most of the staff speak, and understand, English well. Hotel Madero is in walking distance (or a short Uber/Taxi ride) from the city's main tourist attractions...and returning to the Hotel after a day's outing around the city was like walking back into a peaceful oasis/retreat! My wife and I very highly recommend Hotel Madero!!
We stayed at Hotel Madero one night. The entire staff was attentive and clearly prioritizing the comfort, safety and security of guests. The location is terrific, great area to walk along the river with lots of restaurants and bars. We felt vey safe. We had an early morning flight so we were delighted that coffee, tea and food was available in the lobby beginning at 4:30 am. A great amenity!
We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. We found it an ideal location within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. The breakfast buffet was delicious and contained a wide range of meats, cheeses, pastries, cereal, yogurt, and eggs. The fruit salad was a highlight for us, made fresh daily and positively divine!!! We stayed in a junior suite. It had a gigantic king-size bed, a large tv, balconies on both sides of the room, and lots of natural light. It was beautiful. Disappointments? No minibar. They have a mini-fridge, though. Room service options are few and are rather complex dishes. i would have preferred some basic items such as cheese fries, quesadillas, general snack foods. Also, a warning to those of you who choose the suite, because two of the 4 walls are glass, all of the traffic noise, revving engines, honking horns, etc. will be very loud.
Located in a very safe, modern, sparkling neighborhood in Buenos Aires that is very convenient to take a short taxi to many tourist sites like the Casa Rosada and La Boca. I really loved the modernity of the hotel. The room was huge with a beautiful view from the balcony. There were tons of great restaurants, cafes, and bars in walking distance. While the neighborhood lacks some of the flavor of Palermo, it is a beautiful, safe location if you like to walk. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful and they were accommodating with my requests. I would definitely stay again.
This is my 4th stay at this property in the past 10 years. What I like the most is from the time you enter the hotel front door, the hotel has a great vibe to it. The modern chic decor & lighting gives the hotel lobby positive energy. I really like how the hotel lobby transitions into the lobby bar ( fantastic whisky & bourbon bar ) & restaurant. The rooms are well appointed with complimentary amenities. The bed & bedding are a premium. Score a corner room if you can that overlooks the water. Each room has a walk out balcony which is a perk if you enjoy fresh air or smoke. The hotel has an indoor heated pool & outside Jacuzzi. ( Take note that the Jacuzzi water is not hot... needs to be much hotter to be therapeutic. The location is fantastic if you enjoy walking. The hotel staff ( front desk team ) are very attentive & accommodating. Every body seems to be in a great mood.!! The Concierge ( Sebastian ) is an encyclopedia when it comes to questions & answers. I would suggest using him as a resource when staying at this Hotel. He has the keys to the city. A delightful guest experience.
We stayed here for just one night at the end of a cruise and apart from the fact we were unable to check in early everything was very good . We had a deluxe room with balcony and river view as part of a package giving us breakfast and a massage each and this was excellent value . As others have commented the Madero is in a good safe location with lots of bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk and the Saturday night we were there lots of people were out & about strolling along the waterfront. An added bonus was the England v Wales live rugby on the tv in the room so all was good .m Would defo stay at this hotel .
The hotel was in a great location. Had many great places to eat around it. Was not that far from main areas of Buenos Aires. Had a great breakfast. Room was roomy & clean the 1st night. They came to clean the room about 5 the second day. We had just returned after being gone all day. We wanted to take a nap before going out for the night. We would stay there again.
We stayed in this hotel 1 night and in the Hilton 3 nights and at the time this hotel was the cheapest but unfortunately we couldnt stay there after our cruise to Antartica. We had breakfast included, we had bottled water each day which was free, a clean, modern room which appeared to be well sound proofed. Prompt service at the desk, a fully stocked mini bar and close to restuarants. The Hilton in comparison did not provide breakfast except for an additional cost along with the water which they had an additional cost and the room and mini bar werent stocked adequately for the first two days of our stay. We also stayed in Chile at the Intercontinental Hotel and had money stolen from our room which had numerous other problems. We experienced a close encounter with a scam at Santiago where an official looking man will offer you help with your transport. We had transport prepaid and he acted like he knew about it. Personally knowing what I know now I would give Santiago a big miss. At the airport we noticed alot of people tranferring out off our international flight. I now know why.
This hotel did not disappoint. The facility is in an excellent location and is very modern and clean, the elevators work well and are super fast, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, the food at the restaurants was very good including breakfast. I just wished there were some universal type electrical outlets near the bed in order to charge the electronics. Everything else was perfect.
