Best Western Plus Brunswick Bath

Made a reservation for 2 nights (Thurs & Fri). However, our plans changed after one night, and we asked the front desk if we could cancel the 2nd night (that night) and they said YES, and 'we'll refund your 2nd night'! Wasn't expecting that, but it was very nice of them to do so. Room was good sized, bed was comfy, WiFi was very good. Only downside was that the bathroom could use more counterspace - there was plenty of room for more counterspace to put toiletries, etc. Wish that were so. Breakfast was plentiful and varied at 6:30 am when I went out for coffee, but when my wife and I went for breakfast at 8:30 am, offerings were mostly gone. Otherwise, a good stay.

We have family in the area and have stayed here many times, my last 2 reviews weren't great with complaints from me, this trip was better and improved since last time! They no longer run out of breakfast food and actually got a yogurt machine which was helpful since they always ran out of yogurt...I brought my own pillow so that solved that complaint and when asked daily for towels they were given to me even when I asked for towels at the pool they came within 5 mins, the staff was very pleasant and helpful... Glad to see the reviews are read and improved upon! Thank you!

The hotel was overpriced for what you get very rundown. I couldn't even take a shower because the showerhead was so disgusting corroded and dirty. The air conditioner was so loud. I thought there was construction outside my window and the person across from my hall must've slammed the door 20 times late in the night and early in the morning. I didn't sleep a wink.

Stayed here two nights when visiting nearby Boothbay Harbor. Got a room on the third floor toward the end of a corridor so it was quiet. Adequate accommodations for our needs. King room was very roomy. Within a hour of the sights we wanted to see. Free breakfast was satisfactory. It was nice that they started breakfast at 6 a.m. so we could get an early start to our day.

For a handicapped room that did not have a working air conditioner nor bathroom light, a 10% charge adjustment was clearly low balling our inconvenience as well as comfort. Will not stay here again based on very poor response from the hotel management.

I have stayed here at least six times and the service has constitantly not improved, my review from a year ago stated the pillows are too soft, they still are, they run out of breakfast food, they still do and this time the shower head in the room was so bad I could hardly get the shampoo out of my hair!! Also not once but twice I asked for our room to be cleaned on day two of a 3 night stay and no one ever came! This stuff is not acceptable! I have family in the area and the location is perfect so I'm sure I'll be back however I'll bring my own yogurt and pillow and towels. However for 400$ for a 3 night stay, they need to be more competent ...running out of breakfast food is inexcusable as well as not cleaning a room after asking twice!! Hoping my next stay things will have improved!!

We love this Best Western Bath-Brunswick! It is super affordable, yet nice and clean, comfortable beds and pillows and bedding, has a wonderful indoor pool, and a really good breakfast with many many choices. We come here just to get away for a night or two and use the indoor pool! It just needed to be warmer because it was colder than usual. When we brought it to the attendants attention, he promptly turned the heat up. But it was 8 pm and it takes time for it to heat up. Love this hotel.! We highly recommend it and we will be back!

This is the third time I've stayed here, it's fine but there is always room for improvement! Pillows are awful, too soft! They run out of breakfast food way too quickly with not alot of guests at the buffet, the one desk Clerk was literally sitting at the desk when I approached to ask for extra towels for the room and she was Sleeping!! The indoor pool water was very cold for a heated pool I feel like they are trying to save money so they are skimping on things I'm sure it won't be my last stay as we have family in the area Clean and nice just can improve

Beds were comfortable. However, the bathtub was not adequately cleaned. There were long black hairs in the tub. Breakfast offered a good selection of items. Our group of ladies stayed one night. I'd recommend hotels closer to Booth Bay if they are available. Our first choices were sold out.

This place is an absolute dump!! Don't let the ratings fool you. The room they gave us had blood or something covering the toilet, so we got another room. The second room had hair stuck to the shower walls. The toilet was running when we walked in and we had to shut the water off to get it to stop. Nasty scum all over in the fridge. The curtains were built in such a way that you couldn't close them, so anyone outside could see straight into our room. Not to mention the share curtain had nasty stains all over them. There was one towel and one wash cloth. Although I wouldn't dare shower in this place or sleep under the sheets. As a matter of fact I didn't even open my suitcase in fear of what might crawl in. The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Absolutely disgusting. I've stayed in best westerns and other hotels all across this country , and this was by far the nastiest place I've ever been in!!

While the accommodations were generally clean, and the staff was courteous and helpful, the Brunswick/Bath Best Western is well past its prime. On a busy summer weekend, the single breakfast attendant could not keep up with the demand and many items were out of stock. The pool water was cloudy, trash cans were overflowing, And the air conditioning unit worked sporadically.

We have stayed at the Brunswick location several times. The accommodations are comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. A pleasure to stay there!!!

They charge you an additional $35 per day pet fee upon checking in with a confirmed registration for a pet friendly room. We were never notified in advanced of this hidden charge.

We stayed here in June for one night on our way to our destination. The breakfast was very good. Rooms were clean. Staff were very courteous. WiFI was very good. Quiet place which was nice. Location is close to restaurants. We would stay again.

The hotel is getting worse. On my last stay the bathroom was not swept properly, there was black mold on the ceiling and spotty bath caulk. The aircon system is dated and noisy. Breakfast has never been great here, but this time it was pretty dismal. Coffee machine was out. Bad value. The location is nice. And the employees are pretty friendly. One recommended that I write this review so that management knows of the problems.

There was no hot breakfast. There was no shampoo, conditioner in our room . The room was not clean well. When we came down to let front desk person know he just took down note but did not took any action. When we ask manager front desk person said manager is not on property. They need to train staff.

Upon arrival or reservation that we made earlier in the day was not even in the system. The gentleman who took our reservation, card info and personal info was rude to begin with. The room had not been clean well. For needed vacuuming and the bedding was dirty. The overnight staff was not available only a note with a number to call. The hotel did nothing to rectify the issues.

We visit last week but the hotel room was dirty and poorly managed. The floor we stayed was unpleasant smell. When I went to tell front desk about rooms they don't understand English . I don't blame staff look like lack of management. They need to change management.

The room was clean, the environment was on par. However, the free breakfast offered very limited choices, specifically no hot stuff like sausage and eggs. Tangerine was the only fruit I could find. We had to go out for breakfast because what they offered was not a normal one.

only a couple of minor issues. i was the most put off by the employees parking under the canopy out front. and on a previous stay we were there 4 days and during that time there wasn't a functional ice machine. on that first stay i will compliment you on an outstanding breakfast, this last stay was not nearly as good. overall i would return to this hotel with no reservation.

The staff here is very accommodating. Everyone is very friendly. Breakfast is always early. Pool, gym are great. Rooms are just right. I have been there four days a week for the last three weeks and haven't more to go. Thank you!

Clean, comfortable accommodations — and incredibly friendly front desk staff. Who could wont for more??? We especially enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and great dark coffee. We plan to return next year.

This dump does not have it's act together. It's almost 2024 and this place is still blaming the pandemic for its lack of staffing. We went to check in at 3pm and were told housekeeping wasn't done cleaning our room. That was a red flag. We came back at 3:50pm and the front desk still wasn't sure if our room was ready. Then without checking, she gave us a room that belonged to someone else. We walked into a room to find a man just as surprised as we were. Luckily, he was just unpacking and not in the middle of something else. The other front desk person exhibited troll like behavior & attitude. She was very rude and offered zero apologies for their obvious mistake. Run away from this place. It's an absolute train wreck.

Web site needs better clarification on which rooms are NOT pet pet friendly vs. pet friendly. The site was not clear and therefore I was not given the level of room I had reserved. In fact they almost did not give me room. Overall quality of hotel had fallen since our previous two stays.

Spent one night here as an intermediate stopover on my way to a destination further up the Maine coast. Chose this place due to its convenient location, good reviews and easy access to Bailey's and Orr's Islands, which I'd never visited previously. WHAT WAS GOOD: This is apparently a refurb of an earlier property that must have needed some upgrades and BWP has done a nice job of bringing it up to date. My room had all the modern amenities, a microwave, fridge, coffee machine, and a good cable TV selection. The bathroom was modern and stylish. Common areas are nicely decorated and well maintained….Set in a wooded area just below a commercial strip, the location is excellent, offering some quiet, with easy access to the services typically found at a major highway interchange. WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER: If you look for it, you'll find some wear and tear in the rooms. Mine was clean but there was evidence of water damage around the window and some peeling paint….Rooms have those older style A/C units that go on and off based on the thermostat setting. Mine was a little noisy when it kicked on….My biggest disappointment was with the breakfast, which was adequate but a cut below the quality and selection you typically find with most similarly priced chains. Seemed here like just going through the motions to check the included-with-room-breakfast box. BOTTOM LINE: Good enough choice for a short stay if your travels take you to the area and you're looking for basic every day accommodations.

Unfortunately, our visit to this hotel and the Brunswick, ME area was an understay... we should have stayed 3 nights - 5 full days; however, we fell sick and returned home (nothing serious, though better to be safer than sorry). The hotel is clean and tidy. We requested that how room be dander-free as we have serious allergies - the room was perfect.

This was our fifth stay at this Best Western while visiting family and it may be the last. The hotel is very clean, quiet and comfortable, but not worth nearly $300 for a single night stay!. We were charged over $60 extra in taxes and fees! The hotel is close to restaurants and about 8 miles from the water. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

My wife and I stayed here with our teenage son. The hotel has a new feel to it and has lots of room. It seems that there are fewer rooms that some hotels, but the rooms are nice-sized and our room had a mini-entryway so when you open the door the hallway light does not get on the fa es of those still sleeping (important as I like to get up early). The room itself was comfortable, dark, quiet, and cool. There is an area outside the elevator on each floor with some couches, and the breakfast area is sizeable as well. The breakfast options were solid. The "extras" such as the fitness room and pool were on the small side, but everything was working in them which is the key. The woman who checked us in was friendly and gave me some ideas for what to see in and around the area.

Had a wonderful stay! Rooms are spacious, extremely clean, and reasonably priced for this time of the year. Full breakfast in a pleasant dining area. Staff was very gracious and helpful. Definitely would stay there again on our next trip.

Great experience at this hotel while traveling for work. The staff was super helpful as we were not locals. The continental breakfast was great! There were so many great options and all the food was made fresh!

The staff was very friendly, it was relatively clean and the beds were comfortable. The recent renovations were rather shoddy, in my opinion. The frig froze our food- no temperature gage. Breakfast food was empty for hot choices last hour of service.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice people to visit with. They made it feel like they were hosting us in their home. The breakfast room was well stocked. The attendant Omar made sure everyone had what they needed. The desks clerks and management helped a great deal with a couple little booking problems we had.

This was my second stay at this hotel as we have relatives nearby. The front desk needs work, I made a reservation via phone and when we checked in the front desk person had to re do the entire reservation because we wanted to use my husbands credit card instead of mine, We travel extensively and it never matters whose name the reservation is in! Its the credit card you use, ok, fine it took the front desk 10 minutes to redo it! The second day I went to the front desk to ask for extra towels there were 3 women at the front desk all seated while one was checking someone in. The other two sat and watched her check the women in while I stood there waiting to get towels, I couldnt believe I wasnt helped and these two women were just sitting there, this took another 10 minutes when one of them finally gave me towels! Bad front desk service! At check in we werent told that housekeeping was at a request so I was upset coming back after a long day and my room wasnt cleaned and had to go ask for fresh towels as we used all of them, awful either make sure that is known or clean daily! The good, the rooms are clean, the pool is great and the breakfast is excellent, the staff for the most part was friendly, just bad service at the front desk. And from my review last time I was here, be warned the pillows at this hotel are AWFUL! soft pillows with no support, We had stiff necks the entire stay, just unacceptable

Rooms were very clean. Front desk people very professional. The pool was great - water perfect temperature. Very happy with accommodations. Hot breakfast. Coffee 24 hours. Location right near shoppng and restaurants.

We were without power over Christmas. Thankfully, Bestwestern had a room for my family. I hever would have thought about staying in a hotel in my home town....but I will never hesitate again to stay at Bestwestern Brunswick if the house is cold....very friendly, warm accommodations with a good breakfast.

Clean rooms; decent accommodations; very friendly staff; complimentary hot breakfast a bonus!!! I would definitely recommend this Best Western — which, when we stayed there — was accommodating the line repair crew from New Brunswick, sent to repair downed power lines following a major rain and wind storm.

The room rate is so exorbitant vs. the poor quality, or lack there of, the room accommodations. The owner has demonstrated absolutely no concern or regard in a guest's negative experience at his property. The disinterest & inattention by management & the owner existed many years before the pandemic.

Stayed several nights here with my father as we loaded up parents items from storage to move south. My father needs help at times and the staff was excellent. I hope I get these names right... Kendall on swing shift helped us check in, she got us get settled, and recommend good eats! Kelly on night shift, he helped me so much getting into another room that better suited my father's needs and Hannah on day shift checked on us to make sure all was well and she helped me get items from the old room. The rooms were clean, beds were rather firm and perfect for me. The shower was great with plenty of hot water. The free breakfast had a little bit of everything you could want and the coffee was better than i expected. The only thing I would recommend an improvement of was the wifi coverage and speed. But would not me stop from coming back or recommending this hotel.

Extremely happy with my stay here. Hotel was quiet (on a main artery, but set back and trees around 3 sides, so very quiet and feels somewhat secluded) and very clean. Staff was wonderful, super nice and accommodating, Complementary breakfast was surprisingly good—lots of combination options in a relatively small space, and whoever cooks the eggs each morning does a great job (because you know it's easy to wind up with rubbery ugh when doing eggs for many). Honestly was super impressed with the breakfast. They do allow pets, but aside from seeing/saying hello to one dog in the lobby area, there was no disruption in that regard. Had a fridge and microwave in the room, which allowed for snacks/late suppers which helped my schedule immensely. Also, bed was very comfortable (I often have problems with hotel beds which are too squishy—not a problem here). I have family in Brunswick and I will stay here again in heartbeat the next time I visit.

Was a great place to stay on vacation if you are looking for somewhere to sleep. We were mostly gone during the daytime but the staff always welcomed us back. The Breakfast was a good start to our day and would be available for a longer window than other hotels. The Internet was up to par with our needs and bed was comfy. Would definitely stay again

The hotel was not worth the price we paid. It was dated and kinda smelled. The carpet in the lobby looked to be over ten years old as was the room carpet. The sofa or lounger in the lobby looked like it was out the 80's. The outside was not keep up, weeds and crabb grass. It was out of the way , not near anything. We went went to both Booth day and Bar Harbor, there were both cheaper with much better amenities and presentation of the facilities. The breakfast was poor.

It's an old, run down hotel. The door/walls were so thin you can hear people next door and in the halls talking. The toilet was filthy, stained by someone else's use. There was not hot water. The staff were courteous but had not useful solution.

We have stayed at this property a few times over the past several years and we are always pleased with the friendly staff, clean room and common areas and great breakfast with so many options to choose from.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our daughter's 11 birthday at the Best Western Plus's. The kids had a blast swimming in the pool and then enjoyed cake and opened presents in the dining room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Everything was very clean. Guests even wished her a happy birthday. We highly recommend this party venue.

I highly recommend this Best Western PLUS in Brunswick, Maine! Kory and Amneris went above and beyond for myself and my 2 little dogs. We had just experienced the horror that hurricane Ian brought to SW Florida and I was a mess. Kory and Amneris were accommodating, understanding and so compassionate. I will never forget and be forever grateful for the kindness and professionalism you showed me. May God bless you both and your loved ones.

If I was someone that gave 5-star reviews I would for this hotel. Called a bit before arrival & they were able to get me in for 2 nights. Great location to be based for exploring this part of the coast. Very welcoming front desk staff. Mentioned that it seemed busy - they were having a staff party for the housekeeping folks & their families. Nice to see that. My room was very nice & had no issues with noise. Breakfast was diverse, wish there'd been a "veggie" or turkey meat option, otherwise a great selection. My 2nd morning I had an issue with a hot sauce packet......lets just say it went everywhere..... Luckily, it didn't land on Kory the GM who happened to be walking by..... I was mortified, it was dealt with & even though I volunteered to clean up they wouldn't let me. My only issue was the TV was broken in the breakfast room & missed the news. (Queens funeral.) It happens. I'll be back on my next trip to the area! Thank you.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was large and comfortable. I will definitely be staying here again when back in the area for business and leisure. I did not have the breakfast offered because of my early start to the day, but it seemed like a good selection.

Management is obviously conscious of appearances and service as the hotel and grounds were well kept and employees were trained to take care of guests. The breakfast had excellent choices of cereal, eggs, breads, waffles, and fruits to go with tea, coffee, decaf and lactose free milks.

Really nice - like a Fairfield or Hampton so BW did this one right. But the breakfast was not good - and we ate at Wild Oats (nearby). Still, for the price and location, this hotel is a winner - really really clean - we'd stay again.

This was a surprising find in the Brunswick area. Nice room, friendly staff at the front desk, nice breakfast. The pool was a little cold, so it could have been warmer. Management wrote to me to tell me what the temperature was supposed to be, but it was much colder than that. That was disappointing. The housekeeping staff in the morning, however, doesn't care what time it is or that you want to sleep. They are loud, laughing and talking loudly in the hallway before 8 am! I mentioned this to the front desk and the hotel management but they didn't even address it, so that's why I'm letting everyone know about it right here. If you stay, get a room away from the first floor employee closet or entrance. I would stay again but I won't get a room on the first floor near the lobby. Too loud, and the housekeeping staff obviously doesn't care that you want to sleep. I would stay here again if I picked a different room and if they fix the pool temperature. This would have been more stars, but I'm being generous with 4.

We came here from CT on motorcycles and booked for 3 nights. The staff was so friendly and accommodating to our needs. One of the nights it rained and we could not find a restaurant that delivered. The manager offered to drive us there to pick up our order. If not for him we would have had to ride in pouring rain, thunder and lightning. This was above and beyond and we certainly appreciated this. The room we had was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast has hot food (eggs, potatoes, sausage, oatmeal, waffles) as well as fruit and several breads. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again if we visit this area.

We frequently travel throughout the northeast with other couples via motorcycle and for this trip we were touring the Casco Bay islands and area around Brunswick and Bath, Maine. We booked three rooms at the Best Western Plus. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Our rooms were clean and newly renovated and much nicer than expected. Honestly, I don't understand some of the earlier negative reviews. The rooms are updated and generous in size. Added bonus, the a/c system in the room is super quiet! The breakfast/ eating area is very clean and large with lots of options for an included breakfast (including chocolate waffles!) And breakfast started at 6am which was a huge plus for us. Coffee, tea and juice are available throughout the day too. We stayed three days and one of those days it rained heavy. The hotel manager, seeing we were on motorcycles offered to pick up food for us and he did! Thank you to the entire staff at the Best Western for accomodating us and making our visit to Brunswick/Bath Maine so wonderful!

Although this hotel needs a few cosmetics, the staff and management of this Best Western location make it a 5 star in my opinion. Their personable, kind and considerate manners accommodate your needs.

We used this hotel as the meetings place for our large family reunion. We were incredibly impressed with the warmth extended to our group during our stay at the hotel. The staff greeted us and were incredibly helpful time and again. Hannah at the front desk was pleasant and helpful making adjustments as needed in order to meet our needs. They allowed our group to use a common room to celebrate an important birthday when we all arrived Thursday night which was a key part of our family gathering. We were a large family with lots of kids and all of the staff were kind with accomodating our noisy crew. The kids loved the indoor pool! We enjoyed the continental breakfast each morning which offered a nice variety of food. We found the hotel to be clean and well maintained.

My family met together for a family reunion and all stayed at this hotel. We had 45 or so people and lots of little children. The hotel staff was exceptionally helpful with any requests or needs that came up. The kids enjoyed the pool and park across the street. The hotel is conveniently located. We all had a great time, and I would highly recommend and stay at this hotel again. Thank you Best Western Plus Brunswick Bath!

My family had a large family reunion and a majority of us stayed in this hotel. The manager and staff were extremely friendly and ver polite. The rooms were clean and they brought us what ever we needed. If we ever get to have another family reunion this wi definitely be the place we book again!

The hotel accommodated over 50 members of my family for several days. The pool and the playground across the street were great for the younger family members. We played various card games and group games in the dining room. We even had a birthday cake. In all this, the multi-lingual staff was very responsive to our various needs and requests.

Clean room, good breakfast and exceptional staff! The young lady who checked us in was super friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. The value was good and the location was quiet and just off the beaten path.

I am a repeat customer who will never return. Our reservation was made months in advance but when we arrived they gave us keys to a room that was being recarpeted. So they gave us a second room where we unpacked and took a nap only to be awoken by a phone call asking us to leave the room so they could work on the carpet there. Now we are in our THIRD room and the walls are covered in mold! The air conditioning unit is dripping so much I put a cup under it which was full after two hours. The carpet it soaked - I assume that's why they are being replaced. Did I mention that the drip is right next to an electrical outlet?! When I told the front desk this and showed pictures NOTHING was done to address the issue or offer us a better room or a refund so we could LEAVE - nothing. We will never be back.

The pet friendly rooms have their own deck and exit to a walking area. It's away from the road too which is a plus. Also, the hotel is quiet so there's not a lot for your dog to bark at. I would stay here again with my dog.

Had an excellent stay, the room was very nice and had a Jacuzzi and a fire place that we were not expecting!! Was super cool! The pool was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great as well. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Loved this place! Clean rooms… awesome pool… but the staff was the highlight! Awesome people everytime i met someone at the counter! Specifically Rebecca and young man (i believe he was African-american) who was in the navy prior to working here… they went above and beyond!

We arrived later in the evening, so we didn't really utilize much of the facilities, but the gentleman at the front desk was so kind and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic! Waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, etc. There was also a nice large seating area to sit in for breakfast.

I traveled with a group of 44 people from suburban Philadelphia, PA, and we had 2 nights at this lovely property! Spacious rooms with updated bathrooms, good internet, and TV. The tour operator made a mistake with the number of requested rooms, and the management bent over backwards to resolve the problem, and they organized a nice wine and cheese party for our return from attending the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland, Maine. The management extended that great Maine hospitality that keeps us coming back to Maine, year after year! Thank you General Manager Kory Webster for making us feel so at home! Great value!

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! The customer service was TOP notch! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and they allow pets for a small fee. The breakfast buffet was terrific, with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, fresh berries, biscuits, waffles, and MORE!! Definitely will stay here again!

I have been staying at this hotel for the last 15 years. This morning I asked the GM to change the channel in the breakfast room to something more kid friendly (I and other families had small children in the area.). This has never been a problem. Today the GM had FOX news on. I was told it was either (News or weather). I said "Weather". He never changed it. He was rude and dismissive. Apparently, he has an agenda to keep FOX News on all day. The other employees are wonderful. Too bad that management doesn't learn something from the employees. I won't be staying there anymore after this kind of treatment.

We booked 7 rooms at this hotel with family members. Between the unclean rooms, water dripping from ceiling, small vanity in bathroom, broken handles, mold on shower curtains. Walls are thin, so very noisy. UNSAFE tiles around pool. Had 5 family members fall on the wet tile. The pictures shown on their website are not what any of our rooms looked like.

Very easy to find. Staff very friendly, close and convenient to stores, restaurants, and downtown Brunswick. Freeport is also only about 15 minutes away..Breakfast had lots of gluten free options. Check out was simple.

This Best Western property is affordable, but don't look for the amenities of some of the other chains. It has a small indoor pool. It does offer a free, but very limited breakfast. It is centrally located for easy access to Harpswell, Bath and Portland, but it is definitely an older property with some quirks. First off, all of the employees we encountered were friendly and welcoming. This was perhaps the property's greatest asset. The hotel is located right on busy route 24, so there is a fairly constant stream of road noise. Those seeking quiet might want to request a room on the backside of the property. Our room was comfortable enough. The king size bed was fine, but the furniture was arranged rather oddly, with the TV off to the side of the bed, and the desk at the foot. I'd have reversed these so that sitting at the desk wouldn't impede movement around the bed. There was a mini fridge and a microwave oven which both worked well, but the fridge emitted a constant buzzing sound which was noticeable when the tv wasn't on. Also, the AC unit cycled on and off relentlessly, regardless of what settings we tried. It did keep us cool, but that cycling can make it hard to sleep. This property is also equipped with those little half pillows, rather than a standard size, which I have never cared for. Shower had really weak water pressure, but was hot. For some reason, there was a touch tone phone on the wall in the bathroom. Very strange. This was in addition to the regular bedside phone. We had a laugh over this. Breakfast left something to be desired. There was exactly one bagel, some English muffins, prepackaged danish, dried up hot oatmeal and sausage gravy. There was some breakfast sausage in a chafing dish as well. A small fridge held yogurt and prepackaged hard boiled eggs. There was coffee and a juice machine, which in my case dispensed some watery cranberry juice. Not very inviting, but better than nothing. While the hotel served our purposes, which were basically a home base while we went out each day, a family planning to spend a lot of time here might find it lacking. We'd probably look for someplace more modern should we return to the area. It was clean enough and it's worth repeating that the employees are wonderful, so I hate to paint a less than glowing picture. Simply one person's impression.

I was in Brunswick for a couple weeks with an open ended schedule while visiting potential home sites. During the entire time, the staff at Brunswick Best Western Plus were very friendly and accommodating. Each and every person, from Jose and Hannah at the front desk, to the folks maintaining the rooms, grounds, and preparing and replenishing breakfast each morning, were unfailingly helpful whenever I had a request. Even my dog was made to feel welcome. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the internet connection had plenty of capacity. Zero complaints.

Jose at the front desk was amazing to my Mother would was in town for a brief stay. He let my son come and see her, have breakfast and swim! It was super convenient stay! The rooms were clean, and attended to.

Excellent customer service. The staff was so attentive and accommodating. I was traveling with small and very active children and staff made the stay more enjoyable. Jose crespo was the front desk agent that made our stay great from the beginning at check in. His attention to detail made it feel like a vacation and I could relax better.

The staff are absolutely amazing! They work with you to make sure you have the best experience possible. When my boyfriend and I stay there (which is every weekend) they make sure we are well taken care of and after each stay they contact us to make sure it was wonderful and ask what they can do next time to make it even better. Since our first stay here we won't go to any other hotel! I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for the best hotel experience ever! Any special request you have they will work with you to make it happen!

The staff were extreme nice and helpful. The room is amazing and comfortable. The pool was a nice bonus. The breakfast provided wa filling and tasty. I would recommend staying here if you were in the area.

I have to say that although we bumped into some turbulence in the begining. Rad, the AGM was very understanding and professional making sure that we were satisfied with everything. Always had a ‘ anything is possible' attitude and really cared we enjoyed our moment there. So a special thanks to this man who made our stay worth coming back.

Train people at front desk better so they have more knowledge of hotel facilities and what is available in the room Keep your breakfast supplies better stocked especially the berries. Don't give other guests your room key by assigning them your room.

From the moment I called in to inform that I was delayed, a very professional man, Rad, assisted and helped me get all arranged from transportation to the type of room that I preferred. It felt like service from high end hotels. He acknowledge that I was a Best western rewards member without me telling him. The rest of the staff was very good the hotel needs to be updated but it was clean at least. I was just surprised by the service, felt very detailed and personalized.

The AGM, Rad is rad!! Dedicated, attentive staff from front desk to housekeepers! Very welcoming and attentive to my satisfaction. The breakfast is included and it is very good. Broad variety. You can see renovation is underway , though slowly. But they work they're best , it is very clear, to ensure we feel at home and even if problems happen, we come out satisfied.

This was by far, one of the best hotel stays we have had in a while. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well maintained. And the amenities were above and beyond what I expected. The hot breakfast was as good as all the rest of the stay! We will definitely be staying here again!

Amazing staff here at the best western. Everyone from Ericka who dose breakfast in the morning greeting you with a smiling face and a friendly hello, to the maintenance crew who work all day fixing even the smallest issues and making sure to stick around a little later incase any bigger issues arise, to the laundry and house keeping crew who keep your rooms sanitary and fresh throughout your stay..such as Gabriel and leah. The general manager Kory is always available to help if you need anything..even right up to the friendly face who sits at the front desk..Rad! He is a warm smile coming in from a cold day or a cool composure coming in from a hot one. Either way, the best western is just as good as home! Everything about this stay was a disappointment. Slow check in, dirty facilities, safety issues. Only in town for one night for funeral but would definitely have checked out had I been there for extended stay.

Clean and spacious rooms, breakfast was not being refilled so was not very good. Eggs were over cooked bye a lot bread was stale pool was too crowded. Kids were woken up bye barking dog at 3 am so that was upsetting

Front desk clerk was professional and friendly upon check in, housekeeping was friendly and accommodating when we needed an extra blanket and the customer service was amazing at breakfast. Erica greeted us every morning with a smile and took the time to ask how our day was going, and was always asking if there was anything we needed....amazing customer service, we will definitely return when we are in the area. It was nice to find a good, clean hotel that is pet friendly.

Stayed 6 nights for a family funeral in the area. There is no housekeeping. We had to empty our own trash cans and when we needed anything we had to request it from the desk. This included towels, soap, shampoo, cups, and coffee supplies. The hair dryer didn't work and neither did the requested replacement. Pool area is filthy and no towels. The police and K-9 unit showed up in our hallway twice during our stay. One time was right across the hall and they had the residents standing against our door for about 15 minutes thus we couldn't leave our room. This was not something my 5 year old grandson needed to see.

My (new) wife and I went to this hotel for our honeymoon getaway and we're terribly dissatisfied. We got the room with the jacuzzi because we've been to the Bangor White House Inn Best Western and loved the hotel. This one was far from that, very dirty, smelly rooms and hallways, busted door knobs in our room with rust, rusty jacuzzi, doors were on hinges, the lighting was awful, and the tv didn't even work. The staff was very friendly but that was the only upside besides the location.

We stay exclusively at Best Westerns. Best Western Plus in Brunswick Maine is an example why. The room was clean, top to bottom; the continental breakfast was varied on a daily basis and offered a wide array; the staff was courteous and responsive; our Manager Corey was on-site every day and made himself accessible. It was quite obvious that the staff and Corey worked as a team to ensure our stay was enjoyable!!!

Best western plus? More like best western MINUS. I stayed here for one night and the next morning woke up covered in bed bug bites. I told the hotel staff and they said that the room I stayed in had already had multiple complaints and no one should've stayed there. Because of their incompetency I risked spreading bed bugs home for absolutely no reason. This place actually sucks and no one should stay here. The woman wasn't even apologetic.

For $160 I expected something more than bargain basement bathroom. Cheapest shower, had to put toiletries on floor to use. Stayed here a couple years ago and had double faucet shower, was great. Shower is small very basic 3 walls and spigot, nowhere to put toiletries. Bed extremely uncomfortable.

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Best hotel in Brunswick! Great, friendly staff, super clean. Perfect location. Rates are good. Will definitely be staying here again! The other hotels in Brunswick do not compare!

No room cleaning for five days, no coffee pods for the rooms, limited breakfast (cold) that ran out before 8 am, have to bag your own trash and set it in the hall, broken luggage carts, broken doors at the pool, many parking lot lights out, potholes that could eat a car, no clean towels or washcloths, other than that, it was great.

I would never recommend staying here. For the price we paid the room was an actual dump. When you first walk into the room the smell was pretty over powering of must and old feet. The backdoor to the outside deck area was broken and did not lock or shut properly (which you know isn't save AT ALL). When we addressed this issue to the staff at the front desk and they were completely incompetent with trying to help us resolve the issue. We were told someone from the maintenance department would come fix the issues and when no one ever showed up we asked for a screw driver to just fix the door ourselves and sadly the staff couldn't help with this either. The bathroom had a leaking drip in tub the entire trip, the toilet was leaking water at the base and the number of towels we were given was pathetic. I've stayed at 100s of hotels across the country in my days of working as a traveling sales man (pre COVID) and this had to be the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. I didn't need my expectations to be blown out of the water by staying here but at least hitting the bare minimum for $400 a night would have been great.

Room had horrible odor, inoperable smoke detector (battery ripped out) and cigarette burns in the chair in a nonsmoking room! The bathroom sink the hot water handle fell off in our hands and there was a thick layer of dust under and around "clean" towels. We didn't see any bugs or stains, and we had no other place to go so we stayed. We did check out a night early and won't be back. When we checked out we did tell the issues to the desk and he said to write a review, didn't even bother to write down the issues I told him about. It's funny our friends had a better night stay at a motel down the street and paid 1/2 of what we did...

Our extended stay was a disaster, Over priced, over booked, totally under staffed After 7 nights, we asked for clean sheets. Came back to the room to find the bed made, with the same sheets. took hours to remedy this. 3 requests for toilet paper and clean hand towels. John at the front desk did his best to make our stay tolerable but his hands were tied by corporate. BW used to be on our A list...no longer. Understand that Covid caused problems, but other chains have handled it much better.

I've stayed at BW Plus hotels before. This is not in that category. Very rundown and shabby. Doors to the room and the bathroom were swollen and you had to bang and push them shut (I felt bad for our neighbors). View to a weed and garbage filled back parking lot. The furniture was shabby - the ironing board was just shoved into a corner of the room. There were no electrical outlets next to the bed so couldn't charge the phone overnight while also being able to set an alarm. The bed was fine but there was only a top sheet and a very thin second sheet. No blanket, no duvet, none in the room either. No hand towels, just washcloths and bath towels. And the breakfast. I understand that hotels are shortstaffed and have to deal with Covid rules. But there is no excuse for not providing some food that is edible. No fruit, the smallest possible yogurts (I didn't even realize yogurt could come in such small containers), pre-packaged muffins that were so disgusting that I spat it out after taking a bite. Good things are the location, the courteous staff, and the shower pressure.

This hotel is in a beautiful location just outside Brunswick. The appearance is nice and Brunswick has plenty of restaurants etc. As for the hotel itself, they fell short of other BW in Vermont, New York, and New Hampshire. The 'hot' breakfast consisted of a cold continental breakfast with the option of grabbing a sausage/egg biscuit and microwaving it in your room. The microwave was pretty old and my wife overheard someone complaining to the manager that theirs caught on fire. The person behind the desk seemed unfamiliar with the BW summer promotion of up to five $20 gift cards, even though we eventually (after a phone call to BW) did get our due credit for them. On the good side, the rooms were nice, clean, and quiet and TV and Wifi worked fine.

I have never had such a bad experience in my life and hope to never have this one again. The bathroom was terrible, it was either blood or poop on the wall which was going to be cleaned by housekeeping but they never got to it so a hotel lobby clerk had to come in and clean it, we inadvertently picked a handicapped room and found the shower floor sloped into the main bathroom floor instead of drain so the whole floor was wet after showing which we were worried about slipping, water temperature in shower was hot to scalding hot with no cold water, walls were painted awful and splattered paint on kleenex hold, towel rails, and floor, light fixture was grimy. Bedroom had a very small closet with 2 hangers supplied, bed was comfortable, refrigerator had no temperature controls but believe it was broken off and only froze items in there. Laundry room had 2 washers that worked and 2 dryers where only one worked. Fitness room temp was set at 84 degrees and thermometer was locked so couldn't cool it down but had a water cooler but no water. The only positives I felt was there was a girl at night at lobby desk that tried to help us out and went above and beyond her duties.

no milk, no napkins, no bath towels, no bottled water. Enter pool area at own risk as peeling paint is everywhere and bad fumes are overbearing in pool area. The folks behind the desk were nice but one employee said the poor quality was due to covid. You have no milk for your cereal is a covid problem?

Stay away from room 204. The room smelled like smoke. The lampshade was gross and should have been white, but it was dirty and gross. Had to take it off. Was going to unplug the lamp, however behind the bed must Never have been cleaned. We were so grossed out! The sink did Not drain at all! The fan was very loud. The window was not attached and practically came out when I tried to open it. We talked to Mike the manager the next morning, he told us he just became the nanager 2 weeks ago and is hearing of problems. We changed rooms to 208 the next day and it was better, but you can tell that Mike is Not manager material. John at the front desk is very caring and helpful snd Should be a manager. Mike the manager told us that the general manager that I talked to when we reserved the room in Feb. was fired from sleeping with the customers. (What kind of professional manager tells customers this??). I have stayed here three times in the past 6 years and this was the last. I have much more to say. But I hope you get it!

After driving for hundreds of miles my wife and I rested at this Best Western Plus. The rooms were clean and refreshing. In the midst of Cov -19 it was important to us that the facility was clean and well maintained. The hotel met our expectations. The surrounding area of Brunswick lacked good restaurants that we were expecting but we managed.

Hotel in a nice wooded setting but room had issues. Not thoroughly cleaned, lipstick stain on sheers, bed not completely made, room service required a minimum 5-night stay, so be prepared to make your own bed and use the same towels for a while. Dimly-lit sign for hotel so hard to see at night, and a huge pothole in the driveway.

The air-conditioner dumps water into the room. Rather than get someone to fix it, the solution was to put down bath mats. The bathroom door did not close. No on-site bar. The place is definitely dated and not well maintained.

Great experience here, staff is excellent, everyone very friendly and accomodating. Cleanliness was good, room was decent, with fridge and microwave and coffee maker in room, and bathroom was remodeled recently, I was told by staff. Hotel did a nice little grab and go breakfast. Indoor pool and fitness center were open.

No phone in rm, no ice on first floor, new manager very rude, unkind and unprofessional. Broken mirrors in my room and my mothers, mirrior glass on floor with my twin one year olds in there. Moms mirrors and walls were dirty.They wouldn't change my sheets my entire stay, just remade the bed i stayed in after switching rooms on the 13th . I stayed here from July 10-22nd. This was 5th summer coming, and i will never return here after this visit.

The AC unit in my father's room did not function. A fan was brought in as a substitute but it was very hot and muggy while we were in town. In my room, the bathroom/tub had little black hairs all over and the drain did not function. it was clogged. I let the front desk know about the clogged drain. I did get an apology but there was no effort to send someone in to fix it. We stayed 5 nights. I was told that 1/2 way through the stay house keeping would come in to clean the room. They never did.

The only bright part of the stay at the Brunswick Best Western was the front desk ladies - they were accommodating and professional. My biggest complain was the cleanliness of the hotel. It was like our room had not been cleaned between guests, although clean sheets and fresh towels were there. There was crumbs/trash all over the floor, the bathroom still had hair on the floor, and the toilet had not been cleaned. Lights didn't work, mirror had a major crack in it, desk/bench surface needed to be wiped down 2-3 times before the cloth came back clean. It was really gross.

Normally Best Westerns are great to stay at however the only thing that made this stay halfway decent was the staff. They were very cordial & for the most part friendly. Normally one can get gluten free options at Best Westerns, not here. They have none! Second our room was not good! We loved the shape of the hot tub. But the only thing it produced was hot water. The cold faucet doesn't work at all! Really I've heard of hot love but this is a little ridiculous. (We had to use several buckets of ice the second night to cool it down after using several buckets of cold water from the other bathtub the first night.) There were no blankets except for a very thin bed cover & the second night I was cold. The first night my husband was cold. The desk chair is broken and will not go up. Last in order to flush the commode one needs to hold the handle down to flush it clearly. This is a concern because basically it can lead to it being totally broken. Last the breakfast quantity is very low. The only thing one can be sure of getting past 8:45 is juice. I am sure that the staff is putting out all that they have but the first morning we went down there was not hardly any cereal left. (Of course none of it was gluten free.) Normally I like to leave positive reviews but unfortunately not for this stay & having stayed at another Best Western in Maine in the Bangor area we thought this would be better.

I chose this hotel as it was near the conference I was attending over the weekend, plus I had had a great stay at another Best Western last month. I was initially pleased with my room, as I was traveling with my dogs and the room had direct access to a lovely grassy area outside, and a little deck just outside the room, too! The room was neat and clean enough, and also fairly spacious. First issue I noticed was the sink taps were reversed. The hot was on the right and the cold on the left. Then I noticed that the toilet seat didn't really fit the commode, and my legs touched the cold porcelain on the front lip of the bowl. The refrigerator was set to freezing, and everything I put in there became frozen. There was no temperature control, so I could not adjust it. The breakfast room is rather dim, and didn't appear to actually be functional at first glance. I asked the front desk if there was breakfast, and they pointed into the dim room. The choices were slim. On my third and final night, my next door neighbors apparently decided to have a party. They had a barbecue grill set up outside and brought a lamp out to set on the table. The light leaked into my room, but this was not the worst problem. At 11pm, I sort of thought I heard the noise becoming less. Sadly, I was mistaken. At 12:30am, I finally decided to call the front desk. Imagine my surprise when I groped around in the dark and found NO PHONE in the room. I picked up my cell phone and had to google the hotel phone number in order to call the front desk, just adding to my irritation. The person who answered told me they would call the room next to mine to ask them to quiet down. I am not sure what they actually did, since there were no phones in the rooms. At 1:00am, I called the front desk again, as the noise level was exactly the same. After a dozen or so rings, someone finally answered, and this time I was much much more adamant. Several minutes later, the light went out and the loud voices outside my window stopped. I had a 6:30 alarm set, a full day at a conference, and a long drive home after. When I was ready to leave the hotel in the morning, I decided to check out at the front desk and mention the night before. The young lady said, "I'm so sorry" and went back to her computer. It didn't sound very sincere, and I probably should have asked to speak with a manager at that point. But, I wanted to get to my conference.

Close, convenient, economical, welcoming, dog-friendly, this is perfect for families when visiting Bowdoin. We particularly like the rooms with decks and access to the lawn behind when traveling with a dog.

Located just off Route 1, this hotel was in a good location for us to see Bath, and then head north. Beautiful area, with plenty of great restaurants. Desk clerk was very nice, room was clean and neatly appointed. Bed was very comfortable. I'd stay here again.

This BW hotel stay was a failure from check in to check out. No one at front desk for check in due to limited staff. Filthy room, hotel room phone didn't work, bathroom filthy, breakfast a disaster as refrigerator didn't work so drinks and yogurt was warm. Avoid this hotel.

While this hotel possesses a central location, that is about all that is positive about this place. When we arrived we were informed that no suites or upgrades were available due to construction!! We had made the reservation about a week in advance and were never informed of this. Additionally, we were asked if we would like an early check-in, but no mention of a fee was made. When we checked in the associate at the front desk informed us about the lack of available suites and/ or upgrades. When we asked why this was not brought to our attention prior to this or even during booking the associate was rude and then told us about the early check in fee!!! We declined and said no fee was mentioned and we would be back later. The associate then said she would waive the fee. Our bathroom contained only a minimum of towels and looked dirty. The bottom of the shower curtain was dirty and moldy and the sink vanity looked as though someone had spit on it and/ or spilled something on it. Needless to say, we have no plans on returning to this hotel! We were very disappointed and have never experienced these issues with the Best Western brand hotels. Hopefully, someone can make improvements in staffing before others have these sad experiences!

The best western is the best hotel to us. They go out of their way to make us happy..they are curtious and friendly and always happy to see us. They treat my dog very well. We plan on going there for fun as many times as we can in the future

This place offered a room jacuzzi which was beautiful and relaxing after a long trip. Our receptionist was very helpful and made our stay pleasant. I know they were renovating but things were out of the way so we had no problem getting to our room. I'll definitely return here when I come back to visit. It was worth the stay.

Me and my son stayed there for one night. The rooms and customer service were superb. I thought everything was great and they handle the restrictions of COVID-19 very well. Will definitely stay there again.

I tend to choose this hotel because it is familiar, and close to town. I have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly, and the rooms and lobby are always clean. Given the circumstances with covid restrictions, I can definitely there are extra efforts put in place to maintain comfort of all guests.

Although clean, the room was in terrible shape even though recently redecorated. Lighting Poor or not working, Plumbing a mess, hot and cold waterlines reversed, No heat in bathroom, (this is winter in Maine. Had to ask for room service and clean towels, my stay was a week long.

The pet rooms are on the first floor. The one I stayed in had an adorable little patio with the grass and the treeline right there so there is no fuss when you need to take your dog out; you have your own exit and dont have to avoid people in the hallway, kids trying to pet them, all while they just have to pee! It's an absolutely great room, the bathroom is larger than I would have guessed and the tubes are large enough to soak in. The area the hotel is located is right near shopping and franchised food options, so its convenient for people stopping on their way either north or south. I would love to return here again.

I have stayed here many times. When a big Noreaster hits and I don't want to do my commute between work and home, this is where I choose to go. This service is excellent. The rooms are impeccably clean. This was my first visit during the pandemic. Everything felt like attention had been taken to details to keep me safe. Staff were all masked-- and fully so, no pulling down under their nose. The room was very clean Highly recommend this for a comfortable night.

My wife and I stayed here during a recent road trip to Maine. We used it as a base camp as we visited Bailey Island and other seashore towns on the coast of Maine. The staff was excellent and our room was clean. Because of COVID-19 they offer a limited breakfast which was fine for me because I am not a big breakfast person. It is a short drive to Freeport, Portland and other coastal towns. On my next trip to the area I would stay here again,

Building is old. Window didn't work, fan was noisy, sink was half-clogged. Aside from that, ok. Not much more to say but they want 200 characters here, so just typing away. I wouldn't stay there again.

This hotel was by far the best hotel I ever stayed in. I checked in July 23/2020 and checked out October 31 2020. This was a business trip that was these best one I ever had. I spend 340+ nights a year in hotels. This hotel met all of needs and the staff was by far the best I ever experienced in my stay at any other hotel chain.

Buy your own toletpaper, the quality was very poor, there was mildew in the bath tub, bring own tub tile cleaner,, and plenty of dust on location. needed to ask for your linens, The desk workers were very friendly.

The staff did not wear masks. The shower in our room was moldy. The fridge was unplugged and our food spoiled. The laundry room was dirty and the machines were covered with soap scum. Guests were not wearing masks and smoking just outside the door. The lobby reeked of cigarette smoke. I complained and was told the hotel didn't have a mask policyand smoking was permitted outside.

This Best Western property is very clean and well kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast is delicious and fresh. My room was clean and had no issues. This hotel was reasonably price.

Some cleanliness issues to report in room 201, May want to provide some training to your cleaners or do an audit of employee who cleaned room 201 prior to guest stay on 10/06/20. Issues: bathroom linens stained, underside of toilet seat had female monthly residue (disgusting!), nightstand nearest wall had dried spillage (like a drink was spilled), bed sheets not changed, hairs on sheets and stains. Absolutely astounded at filth especially during COVID. A definite discount is in order for this overnight. Thanks for your inquiry.

I would not stay at this hotel again! Staff was not friendly, or helpful. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting with mold all over the tub and shower. We asked for a new room and the second room was just as bad! No follow-up from the staff on this issue or even an apology. People were not wearing masks, even staff! The breakfast was supposed to be a "grab and go" with prepacked bags. Instead, everything was left out on the counter in boxes for people to make their own bags meaning everyone is touching everything! Doesn't that defeat the purpose?! Our beds only had a sheet and top cover - no blanket. We also did not have a coffee maker as advertised. I did not enjoy my stay or even feel comfortable at this hotel.

My husband, my brother in law and I stayed one night. The room had a full size bed, not a queen. When I booked the hotel room, I requested a sofa bed. There were no covers or sheets for the sofa bed. My husband had to go back to the lobby and request the sheets. The bath tub was filthy and had mildew as well as the shower curtain. The bathroom floor was filthy. I went to use the hairdryer and it was covered in dust. The room could sleep up to 4 people but only 2 towels were available. The a/c was not working only the fan worked. There were 2 TV's but only one remote control which my husband went back to the front clerk to let her know there was only one remote. He wanted to make sure he wouldn't get charged for the missing remote control. I was truly disappointed. They also state on their website that they are 18 miles from Dodge Point Preserve... they were actually 45 min. away. We will definitely not return or recommend this place.

Pleasant, friendly, quiet. The rooms are pleasant and comfortable. Good free breakfast. Great little swimming pool and gym. We stay here several times a year over the past 10 years, with our dog. I had no concerns staying there during the pandemic; all the best practices were in place.

Charged more than what was originally stated, Internet does not work at all so TV Constantly out, air conditioner super noisy, leak by front door after rain, nighttime staff not friendly, had to clean ourselves because bathroom was filthy.

I recently tried renting a room during COVID-19 as I'm a essential worker that changes all the filters on all 180 Hannafords. I walked in to the hotel in full uniform, tools & all with my company name clearly on it. My form of payment once again had company name on it & a service vehicle right outside the door with name on it proving what I did & that wasn't enough for the rude clerk. I was DISCRIMINATED against getting a room, because of the Governor's order, which I clearly followed by identifying myself. They wanted more documentation and extra paperwork filled out that was not required by law. I was told rudely that I need to leave her hotel now!! Though I never raised my voice, even after having a long day. We're not in Nazi Germany where I have to show my papers! I was only supposed to prove that I was an essential worker & what I did. Which clearly I did with all the fore mention. If this was truly the law why did the Best Western in Freeport not hassle me or a few other hotels that I stayed at sense? Management is still blaming me, owners won't contact me, & Best Western Corporate has no comment.

We havew a summer home on Bailey Island and came up to Maine for a few days to check on the cabin and my father-in-law. Stayed at this reasonalby priced BW. Great breakfasts, good indoor pool, nice staff.

Hotel was very clean and neat Staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very tasty. Location was quite. Several very nice restaurants within a fifteen minute drive.Parking was plentiful and well lite.

I stayed for one week at the BW Plus in Brunswick/Bath with my 10 pound Shih Tzu. We had a wonderful room that had a back door to a yard behind the hotel. The hotel is also near the Blue Dog Day Care where my pet stayed with new friends while I traveled to Rockport and visited my friends and museums. The hotel staff were all very helpful and their recommendation for gelato at the Gelato Fiasco shop on Maine Street in Brunswick was excellent!

This is a very nice hotel to stay. It was good from the moment of walking in the door with a very helpful receptionist. The room was very clean, updated with modern furnishings. The beds were very comfortable too.

We stayed at Brunswick BW since it was convenient to our explorations of BAiley island, Bath , Freeport etc. Clean, convenient and quiet. We like to stay at Best Western, Brunswick Bath did not disappoint.

The price for the BWP was very good, and the location, though not in scenic downtown Brunswick, was overall easy to get to and find; it's also close to some basic entertainment options (movie theater, mallish place) and a terrific seafood restaurant that we stumbled upon on our second night. If you're a walker or runner, there is a housing development next door with wide clear sidewalks where we took a nice long walk one afternoon as well. The breakfast was fine, and the room comfortable and clean. It's not picturesque and, in the off season of November in Maine, felt a bit under-populated, but we would stay there again!

My wife and I have travelled up to coastal Maine a number of times and have stayed here two or three times over the years. Our rooms have always been clean and comfortable. They have been quiet and restful. The hotel is a little out of the way, but close enough so it's no problem.

Nice hotel with full hot breakfast, about 45 minutes from Booth Bay and 20 minutes from Freeport. Staff very nice. We had a king bed, with fridge and a window that opens. Quiet area and pleasant room. They need a "smoker's area" outside with ashtray.

We came for the Gardens Aglow viewing. It was cold out but we were able to book a room here easily on line. We missed yse of the pool, website showed indoor pool and salt water pool but desk rep stated they only had an indoor saltwater swimming pool. We were very disappointed with this. We were looking for a hot tub or salt water tub either in room or in hotel to access after the viewing. We arrived to late to use the pool and did not have a hot tub to utilize. Orherwise service was good, room was beautiful and clean , breakfast was good!

The staff and front desk were friendly provided me with what I asked for but neglected to make sure things worked the box fan I was given danced across the floor the hot water came out brown and the extra towels I was given for the jacuzzi tub were hand towels .

The room was large and the bed comfortable. The bathroom looked pretty new and the shower pressure was good. Towels were a good quality. Shampoo, conditioner and soap smelled soooo good. Breakfast was the best I have had in a hotel, they even had gluten free labeled items. Staff was upbeat and helpful. I had read some of the reviews of the hotel that weren't that great, but I didn't see any of that at all. We were really satisfied with everything about the hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I went to visit friends for the weekend and were so happy with our stay at the Best Western. Room was ready, clean and we had everything we needed. Staff is super friendly. Hotel was convenietly located to everything we needed.

This is our third time staying at this facility and the services were great! Clean rooms, filling breakfast, and a great pool! Only suggestion would be to increase the water temperature a bit. Staff was very helpful for our most recent stay.

Good mid-range hotel. Breakfast choices were wide ranging and tasty. Hot tub and fireplace were nice touches after a long day of weaving class. Two things they need to fix badly were the constant loud noise of the hot tub (when not in use) and the hard mattresses I had both times I stayed here. I do have fibromyalgia though so other people may love the extra firm mattresses. The staff was pleasant and efficient.

It's nothing like the picture here. I arrived late evening and the first thing I noticed was the darkness of the grounds meaning very poor lighting outside most of the lights did not work and trying to park in lighted area was not possible. The inside was dark as well. My room was okay a bit dated but the mattress was very hard and if you moved the wrong way you could feel the springs. There were no extra blankets in the room. The ice machine needs to be fixed.It does not make solid cubes it makes hollow shells. One evening I came in I couldn't get the free Wifi. I found out later that they had changed the password and no one informed me of it. The next day when I return I discovered my room had not been cleaned at all. Trash in the cans, bed not made and bathroom dirty. I called the front desk and they just dumped the trash and gave me clean towels. I must have picked the wrong week to be here because the army had 60 guys staying here for a week and sleep at night was very difficult because these guys were up all night slamming there room doors. I did mention it to the front desk but nothing happened. There were no price adjustments due to the room not being clean and from the 60 army guys being there that were up all night.

There are not many places to choose from in Brunswick on a busy weekend and we were glad to find this hotel. it is close enough to Bowdoin College to make it a feasible choice and is much nicer than some of the other options in town.

Probably won't stay at a BW again after this experience. Room was hot when we got there and even after setting temp to 66 there was no change. Front desk staff couldn't help but next day maintenance person said thermostat didn't read correctly so we had to set it lower to get any cooling. Tub walls had mildew in the grout. Doors around us kept slamming. After returning to room after it was cleaned found my personal pillow on floor next to bed. Couch in lobby had seen better days. More items to list but you get the point...

this was actually a business trip for a good friend ..we get together when he is close and play wingman for each other.. painting the towns red !! we go to local shows, eat out, get drinks.. and look for ladies...(we are both single losahs for life prob lmao) but we have a blast doing it and this is one of our fav places to stay!! indoor heated pool.. friendly, accommodating staff...BEST free with stay breakfast!!! love the waffle mix variety of bagels eggs sausage one day..bacon on others homefries snd stuff yummy for a lazy me like not fav restaurant ..lol but def get ya goin if ya super hungry when ya get up like me with munchie;) hangovers lol loved this place fo sho will def stay again and HIGHLY recommend..kisses best western plus Brunswick maine we loved yall

Hotel offers great service for the price and service staff is excellent and very caring. The rooms are spacious,comfortable with microwave, fridge and great internet access. Plenty of parking and handicap accessiblity.

Rooms are very clean and,well appointed. Breakfast was filling and refills kept coming. Pool was,nice but back sun deck was forgotten. Light fixtures were missing and exposed wires hung from the walls. Smoking was at side exits and numerous butts litter the exit.

This was a nice place to stay, but the best part is that they cared about the Navy mug that I accidentally left there, and were very helpful and that meant a LOT to me. Our son is in the Navy this this mug has a lot of meaning for me. We were able to swing back there and it was waiting for me, along with a beautiful note inside the mug thanking us and our son for his service to our country. That made me cry!

I hadn't stayed in a Best Western before, but won't hesitate again. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was large and well equipped. Could have used a little bleach in between some of the tiles, but otherwise, very clean. The lawns were well maintained. The outlets were adequate. Breakfast was hot and plentiful with scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, oatmeal/ sausage gravy, cold cereal, bagels, toast, muffins. Juice, coffee available. No cream cheese for bagels but there was butter. Also had a machine to make waffles. The housekeeping staff were very pleasant. Great location near the highway but honestly could not hear highway noise in our room. Asked for top floor and were given top floor. No odors.

We had a comfortable two night stay here. Although the hotel is looking very dated and in need of a refurb, our room was clean and very comfortable for our stay. The breakfast provided was more than adequate with a good choice of items. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly at all times.

Love the staff at this hotel, they are very helpful. the rooms are very nice with the exception of the chair in the room. Don't sit on it, seriously, the floor is more comfortable. Since I have to add more words to make this 200 characters I will say try Richards for dinner. They have excellent food.

We booked the room via TripAdvisor. We asked for top floor. When we checked in, we ARE on the top floor. So that was quite nice. People do read the comment/suggestion section. Others stated that the decor or overall setting is somewhat outdate, that we concur a bit. Overall, our room was clean and pleasant to stay. The bed was just right, so we slept through the entire night without waking up in the middle of the night. Oh, we brought our own pillows, so maybe that helped as well. I would recommend this to my friends for sure.

Stayed at this hotel on a visit to Bowdoin College. Reviews were very good, so I was particularly surprised when I arrived. Hotel was very dated and had an overall musty smell. Room itself was fine, but dated as well. Breakfast looked and smelled awful. I chose not to eat anything. Fitness center was advertised, but it was a tiny room off of the pool with sub-par equipment. Price was about $150/night, which was more than any other hotel we stayed at on our New England college tour, and was significantly worse than any other hotel. I would not stay at this location again.

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Brunswick on our way home from Canada. The property itself was clean and well kept. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem is that this property is far off the highway and somewhat difficult to find.

Although the hotel has had some improvements, it is very dated. Our room was sprayed daily to cover up an odour. We had to ask for an additional towel every day as they only gave three when there were 4 of us inn the room. The mattresses were very uncomfortably/poor quality. terrible sleep and woke up with very sore back each morning. When I checked out, they gave me the receipt for another guest, and didn't even ask how our stay was. Does not even come close to compare to other "plus" hotels.

When we arrived with our 2 grandchildren we were hoping for a great vacation. First there was garbage in the garbage can. The girls wanted to have a bubble bath and when the water started the mat in the tub lifted and there was mold and it was floating in the water. Not nice !! The girl at the desk was very kind and was the only person working. I think her name was Melissa. She was very organized. Then we had a problem at the pool. Breakfast was very good . Staff was excellent except the Manager was not helpful at all. She ignored my husbands request to come and check the tub. We would never stay there again.

Very nice hotel. Would have liked a nicer laundry room. One of the 2 washers was broke and the machines were all very old. The front desk staff was not at all friendly, but the housekeeping staff was amazing and very friendly. Also, the lady that made breakfast every morning was outstanding. Super friendly and very accomodating. We really liked our room as well. Having a microwave and refridgerator is a big plus.

We stayed for three nights as part of a tour of New England, Overall the hotel is clean, the staff were very welcoming and indeed were actually good fun to deal with, they offer a good breakfast with a variety of hot and cold options and the package represented good value for money. Two suggestions for improvements would be to introduce some seating area outside so that people can enjoy the sunshine, and secondly, the breakfast service uses a lot of single use plastics - the rest of the world is trying to reduce the use of these and it wouldn't take much to make this change.

This hotel was extremely clean and reasonable priced. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast that included hot and cold choices. We looked at other area hotels and this is by far the best band for your buck.

We only had a quick sleepover came in late and left early. The room was clean, the staff was nice. The one thing that concerned me was the whole bed was wrinkly. Which made me wonder why? Were the bed not changed or did they sit in dryer....I guess I'll go with the 2nd option since I have to sleep on them.

when we first arrived was told pool was not working, ok dealt with it..went to the room and upon arriving in room, my 7 yo grandson noticed a dentist tool in window, which seem to be used as a drug tool being it was burnt on both ends. Was offered a change of room but declined because of grandson being tired..room looked otherwise clean. The next day we noticed a large spider crawling on wall. Made staff aware and no refund offered..200 dollars later and an unhappy customer.

We have stayed at this property a number of times, both with and without a dog. Their rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and a simple, but nice breakfast is included. The service team is friendly and helpful. This Best Western is conveniently located to Bowdoin College. Not to mention, their rates are an excellent value.

my wife and i, and on occasion other family members, stayed at the best western plus in brunswick, me, many times during the past 11 years. however, we will not go back unless there is some major change in the way they treat both visitors and staff. this hotel was older when we first started staying there, but the fantastic staff more than made the stay enjoyable. then they started getting rid of some really good employees. one that really sticks out was the firing of bob, a long time maintenance man. bob knew that building inside and out, and he could really fix just about everything. this job, for bob, was simply a supplement for his pension. he did a great job, but he did it on his own REASONABLE terms. the owner of this and many other hotels expected "department heads" to attend overnight seminars. bob refused, and was ultimately fired. since then they have not found competent maintenance people, and it appears they have no intention of doing so. in this old building, plumbing is a major problem. on most of our recent visits, running toilets were a constant problem. on our most recent visit, just a one night stay this time (usually spent 2 or 3 nights) when we checked in (we had a reservation) i asked the desk clerk cassidy if there were any first-floor rooms available. she told me they were all taken and the hotel was rather full because of events at bowdoin college. no problem, i thought. when we walked into our third-floor room, we noticed the toilet was running. i tried the jiggling trick, but to no avail. i called the front desk and asked cassidy to have a maintenance person look after this. she old me there wasn't one, and someone would be in later. when i questioned this, she told me we could have a first-floor room if we wanted. this was just ten minutes after she told me there were none available because they had been booked by those attending the bowdoin affair. since we had already unpacked and were going out, we requested the person coming in later take care of the toilet. we were assured they would. later that evening when we returned i checked with the front desk manager and was told the matter had been taken care of. when we got to our room, after the first flush, the toilet continued running. in the morning when we checked out, i asked cassidy about the first floor conversation and she fumbled with some ridiculous excuse. left a note for the manager, but never got a response. done with that place.

We brought our dog and the room had a back door leading out to a porch and the lawn which was convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. Really loved the indoor pool and breakfast. Only a short drive to Bailey and Orr's islands where there are seafood restaurants and hiking.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel at least once a year for the last nine years while visiting friends in the area. We have always enjoyed our stay.and the staff has always been very accommodating when we had special requests. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable and we plan to return in the future.

Hotel staff was friendly. I know she was busy, but had to wait in the lobby for about 10 minutes before I was greeted. There was a note on the front desk that said someone would be with me soon. Was a bit disappointed with the coffee maker I am a coffee drinker and was looking forward to the Keurig coffee make that have listed in their amenities. This was an old coffee maker with nasty coffee. The hotel is a little dated, but was clean and Comfortable.

Very nice property convenient to everything in the Bath/Brunswick area. I remember this as the Parkwood Motel some 20 years ago. It appears either well maintained or nicely rehabbed. Clean rooms, very adequate breakfast, good wi fi and free parking. Certainly the nicest property that I know of in the area. I would recommend it and would not hesitate to book it if I was to stay in the area again.

The room was nice enough. Looked as if there had been some improvements, but still somewhat dated. A phone on the wall in the bathroom? The carpet was pulling away from and frayed by the wall. But it seemed clean at least. There was a good sized fridge and a microwave. Our room had a nice chair with an ottoman. The TV was a nice, good sized flat screen, but the remote was very basic with no menu or info button. Now for the breakfast... eggs.. powdered but meh.. potatoes, diced and funny taste.. sausage-acceptable, biscuits and gravy- not good! Hard as a rock, dry biscuits, gravy, meh...oatmeal- dry hard ball. The bread/ bagels, etc were standard. They had waffles and offered toppings which looked good. We needed a bed, and were stuck with a $200 bill (for one night).

We have stayed here several times in the last year and had a very pleasant experience each time. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Our rooms were always very clean and well supplied. The beds are very comfortable and breakfast is a definite plus rather than leaving the hotel. The hotel is convenient to everything and our little dog loves the peace and quiet. We plan to continue to come here a few times each year.

Wasn't happy when we went our floor to get to our room and there was a strong cigarette smoke odor not only in the hallway but in our room as well. When we went into our room there was a musty smell. Made a phone call to the front desk and wasn't really happy with the answer. Had to open a window to get rid of the odor. Tried the a/c and it didn't work. Not a great experience.

A nice hotel undergoing renovation. The breakfast was good and the staff was top notch. We look forward to coming back after the renovation. Missy was especially helpful and friendly. She solved our issue with an inconsiderate smoker and made our stay very pleasant.

This is my favorite place to stay when I am in town to visit family or to vacation in Brunswick/Harpswell/Bath/Freeport area. I have been staying at this Best Western at least twice a year for the [ast four years and I don't expect to stop any time soon. I stay for an average of two to three weeks each time, and each time, I am delighted to be a guest at this hotel. The people who work here really make the experience special. Pooja and Vishall have been at the desk since my first visit and I look forward to seeing them now. They are so kind and they bend over backward for me to make sure I am happy and comfortable during my stay. Pooja checked me in and she remembered me! She remembered what I was up to, the last stay, and asked me if I was back to work on that. She is a living doll. She is vigilant and she knows what I like. This stay, my husband and I were unpacking and the hallway light went out. My husband called Vishall and within two (literally - no joke) minutes, Vishall was up with a new lightbulb and a stepladder to get things lit up. He did this with a smile. After he did that, he suggested a few local places to eat - the kind that the locals like and not the touristy places. We tried one that night and it is now our favorite lobster spot. The housekeeping staff are so fastidious and I love that. I do a lot of travel and cleanliness is really the most important feature of any hotel. I usually bring my own linens because of the amount of travel I do and the number of times I've been skeeved out. Here, it is just extra stuff I brought for no reason. These rooms are spotless. The housekeeping staff are always around and continually ask me if there is anything I need done. I don't even get this at the super pricey hotels I've stayed at. Finally, the breakfast is great. Amelia goes above and beyond to make sure there is a good breakfast for everyone. I am lactose intolerant, so her addition of soy milk to the coffee table makes my morning every single time. The biscuits and gravy are my favorite. My husband loves the scrambled eggs- they are real and not the stupid BS kind you get at most hotels. Can I say enough good about this hotel? Probably not. I am likely making it more difficult for myself to get a room here or a room at a decent price, but I really love this hotel and the people who work here. They deserve an excellent review because they do so much to make me feel so at home. Thank you Vishall, Pooja, and the Best Western Brunswick Team. You made another stay so unforgettably lovely.

Best western of cooks corner Brunswick Maine is the best motel we have stayed in and will again. You have to come to this great motel to know you are among the greatest!!! The service was great along with the room it was fantastic. I love the location just one minute from the highway and all you could want is in just in a one square mile of the motel. I liked the quietness the best but did not care for the entrance to the motel. Thank you best western for a great time!!

This Best Western Plus in Brunswick Maine is Dog friendly and has the best customer services, They get you in and out quickly and offer a very good variety of breakfast foods. Been here twice and will be back next year God willing!!

I stayed here for two nights. No problems at reception or with my reservations. The price was OK at $90/night. The overall hotel feels old and a bit dark. The breakfast space is fine, but breakfast itself was a bit weak. Overall, just not as nice as the other budget or mid-priced formula hotels. The parking lot was laid out oddly and the grounds are not inviting. The parking lot was dark and some of the lights are out.

Kendall the receptionist at night and Cheryl the lunch lady are the most absolutely amazing kind souls that go above and beyond for the people coming in and out of the hotel as patrons! They deserve a pat on the back!

Great breakfast, small but nice pool, pet friendly options, welcoming staff. VERY comfortable beds! We brought our puppy and was never made to feel it was an inconvenience. My child LOVED the warm salt water pool and had a blast!

March 17 th 2019 I was very brutal in my first review of this hotel but I changed it. This is the kinder, less angry re- post. Human error on housekeeping's behalf kept us from a good nights sleep. Could have been handled better. The good things: The front desk was very hospitable. The rooms are big. Hotel is close to restaurants, Walmart, supermarkets and gas, Paying closer attention to cleaning the linen, sheets towels will improve this experience. Done!

This is a great value for a very nice place to stay, welcoming staff. Amenities include a well done breakfast. The rooms are a bit dated but clean, well cared for and have a refrigerator and microwave.. Had a good bed with lots of pillows. Enjoyed my stay and will be back. .

Had to switch rooms because there was not hot water as well as water was coming out yellow. As well due to stains all over linens and furniture. When making the reservation, I stressed to them the reason I chose this hotel, due to the numerous competitor hotels in the Brunswick area, was because I wanted to use the pool. They told me it was open. So I made the $107 reservation. We had to switch room due to the issues with water and stains at midnight, the attendant working, made us go and check the second room to see if it was clean ourselves as the guests. Most places thats something the attendant does and then has the guest come to make sure they are happy with it. - At one point we were told the hotel didn't have hot water that it was a known issue, then why would I need to pay $107 when A.) I can't shower nor bath, B.) the pool access that is included in price but never opened The room we were moved to was a pet friendly room which the attendant DENIED TO TELL US, the person I was traveling with has severe allergies to pet dander and was up all night doing breathing treatments but we didn't know it was pet friendly room so we didn't know why she was going through this. At 6AM after switching rooms at midnight we were loudly awoken by industrial sized fire alarms and the fire department at the hotel. I went to ask what was going on and the attendant shrugged her shoulders at me turned her back to me and walked away. Now that its 6 AM and its bright out I see a few pieces of dog food on the floor and knew in that second that is why my friend was having horrible breathing troubles, because she is allergic to pet dander severely and we were moved to a pet friendly room without being told or asked about allergies. When speaking with Justin the manager to see how we could make our stay right for all we endured, all he could offer was a week free pass to access their non working pool. This was not ok to me, I felt they should have refunded us, or offered another night free. When I explained that we were put in a pet friendly room without being told and that my friend had severe pet dander allergies, the manager showed no sympathy nor care. -Overall we had a miserable stay, their manager is very unfriendly and a rip off to put it blatantly. I am now having to involve booking.com, best western corporate as well as GIRI Hotels, as the best Western Plus in Brunswick is privately owned by them and having to fight tooth and nail every day for a resolution

We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was wonderful, and it had a great variety of food options to choose from. The whirlpool tub in our honeymoon suite had a jet not working properly, but we forgot to complain about it. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. All in all, we were satisfied with our stay and will return to this location again.

While travelling to Georgetown, Maine, my daughter and I needed a place to stay overnight. We chose the Brunswick, Maine Best Western and we are glad we dis. There was a warm welcome, immaculate facility, very nice room/bathroom and close to where we were visiting and grocery store/gas stations, etc. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices and the food was fresh. The lady on breakfast duty was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this Hotel! The price was quite reasonable and accepted AAA for a discount.

We stay at this location every time we go to Maine. They have meet our expectations all the time. Great amenities and love the pool for the kids. Rooms were fantastic. Lots of stores in the immediate area to go shopping.

We stayed here for 3 nights and the everyone from the front desk, to the cleaning staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. They made our stay very pleasant. The hotel is kept nice and clean. the complimentary breakfast offers a lot of choices. Well worth it. We will definitely be staying here again.

Our first room was so dirty we needed a 2nd room. Breakfast had no TV and wasn't very inviting. This hotel should be a Best Western- NOT a Plus! This should have been much better for being a Plus property. I thought that other Best westerns that were not a plus property were better.

The hotel is clean, the staff is extremely helpful and we felt like we were hosted by a good friend. Get the room with the hot tub in and you will feel like a king or queen! Nirev at the front desk is very kind.

The hotel was up to date and very clean. The breakfast was full of choices and the food was good. Loved having the indoor pool as an option. We will definitely chose this hotel again for our future travel needs!

Nice property with clean, spacious rooms, friendly service staff, and convenient location for our purposes. Complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. Bathroom amenities could use an upgrade. Property is less than a ten minute drive to Bowdoin College. Excellent value.

The room was dimly lit and requires more outlets. Needs to be updated. The rugs were very old, and hallways were in need of a deep cleaning. This hotel did not meet up to other Best Western's that we have stayed at The staff was very friendly though.

We loved are stay here, It is located right in between portland and boothbay harbor. About a half hour to both with restaurants right there in the area. The rooms are very clean and they have a fantastic breakfast every morning. We would definitly stay here again

We decided to give our daughter in law a couple's weekend so we took our grandsons to the Brunswick Best Western for the weekend. We selected the hoel for its proximity to the movie theaters and Applebees as well as the fact that the place has a good size indoor swimming pool. Our suit had a queen bed for us and a fold out couch in a separate room for the kids. I'm not sure what the kids liked best, the pool, the movies or the continental breakfast in the morning.

I travel a lot for business, 100+ nights per year. This hotel is very clean. Staff is attentive and gracious. It's the little things...rewards recognition etc. They have power available on the bedside table. It's a little thing, but two 110 outlets and 4 USB's make a huge difference. Nice place. Give it a try.

We stayed for one night in October during our 15 property/21 night New England road trip, so this review is relatively objective. Easily found with good parking. Friendly and efficient staff. Good sized twin Queen bedroom, which was clean, comfortable, and as expected with BW Plus, well equipped. Low wattage bulbs made the room feel slightly gloomy. Perfectly adequate, but basic hot & cold buffet breakfast. Excellent value with a magazine coupon.

This Best Western is set back from Route 24, providing for quiet. Route 24 itself is a quiet road, so not lots of traffic here. Lobby is very welcoming. Sophisticated decor. Low lights. Feels like a class act. As at all Best Westerns, room was large. Super comfortable pillows and mattress. Nice lighting in bathroom. And what can I say about the breakfast buffet? A most attentive staffer made sure that everything was up to snuff. There was even fresh, cut fruit. My husband says the eggs seemed just made. And there was a waffle machine, which I have never experienced in a BW. Fall decor outside, such as mums and pumpkins graced our October visit. But best of all - LOCATION LOCATION. If you are planning to car hop in the Harpswells, this is the place to do it from.And Brunswick is close by for restaurants and cinema. In fact, there is a Regal Cinema just 3 minutes north from the hotel. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Well run BW- location not in walking distance of anything, but convenient enough for coast and Brunswick by car. Everything else is pretty standard - clean rooms, passable breakfast and easy parking- good value

We have been in New England before. For our touristy excursions, this motel is well placed so that we can get to many destinations easily. The staff are friendly, the rooms clean and pretty. The location is easily accessed from the major roads.

Great room. Great service and great location. Registration was a breeze when I registered from another Best Western hotel. Directions to the hotel were very accurate and the hotel was very convenient to a major interstate.

In terms of location, value and comfort, this is a perfect place to stay when visiting Bowdoin. We've spent at least a dozen nights here and never been disappointed. The breakfast is not fancy, but is generous and offers plenty of choices. The staff is unfailingly helpful and welcoming. On this last stay, our room had a little deck that looked into the woods. Lovely.

Nice property but a bit away from Brunswick where there are ample restaurants to choose from. Not far from Bath. If we were coming back to the area we would stay here. Really like the coffee machine in the breakfast area. The public areas could use refurbishing.

Very nice room, far enough away from the bustle of Portland, yet close enough to everything. Shopping, sights, etc.. Has a wonderful “in the country” feel. Take a trip down the road to Bailey Island. Spent a whole day there, and it was fantastic.

Had a great stay. Friendly helpful staff. The room was clean and had all we needed in it, enjoyed the free wifi. Had a great breakfast, overall great service. Close to local shopping and dining. Enjoyed our stay.

The Brunswick Bath, Maine Best Western is a terrific hotel. We've been there a couple of times and have always been very satisfied. Great staff, great customer service, great rooms and free breakfast.

We could stay at this location and go in any direction for our various Maine sightseeing venues and be within a reasonable driving distance to and from. Clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff make it an even nicer stay.

We only stayed here one night, but we enjoyed this hotel! Clean, nicely appointed, very good free breakfast. The location is very convenient, close to restaurants. The college is just a short distance away.

On a drive down 1 Maine coastal road. This place seems good spot for night avoiding high coat hot spots. Easy to find and formalities easy. Room large and comfortable. WiFi good. Included b'fast has usual.

We were travelling through New England and needed to stay between Bar Harbour and North Conway, so being a long time fan of Best Western we booked at B.W. Plus Brunswick/Bath. As usual, all was clean and tidy, staff were all polite, helpful and friendly, our room had a huge comfortable bed, and our visit was all rounded off with a brilliant breakfast, to see us on our way. Thanks Best Western!!!! (Let you into a secret, I paid with points I earned staying in other B.W. Hotels. I have found all their Hotels are good value, a good standard of cleanliness and comfort, plus if you save the points!!!!!!)

Everything was great about the stay from the check in to the rooms, internet, staff, decor. The breakfast area was nice and clean. Food was standard fare but good. Just a pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Nice hotel, good breakfast. Slightly older, but still nice. Gentleman at front desk helpful and provided change for washer/dryer. Stayed after trip up new England coast on way to Acadia. Easy check in and check out.

The property was more remote than we anticipated but the staff was great. However, the hotel looked “tired” and need some TLC and a deep cleaning. The breakfast was the normal sort of fare with sweet buns, eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereals etc.

Navir, the receptionist was so accomidating to us. He not only was polite and kindhearted, but understood our situation of needing a last minute room on a tight budget! He came to our rescue and agreed upon an affordable price for us. Traveling with my daughter to visit a college and being too tired to make it home, made it necessary to find a last minute room. Many hotels were completely booked. Navir really came to our rescue! The hearty breakfast, clean room, and friendliness of the staff was very much appreciated! I know where I will be choosing to stay as I visit my daughter over the next 4 years! Thank You!

We had stayed here once before and found it quite satisfactory. This time (Labor Day weekend), after looking at our room and the exercise area we complained about the dirt and messiness. We then watched the desk clerk, who said he was the only staff person on the premises, try and sweep debris off the deck of our room (including a doggie bag full of poop). After about an hour, we checked out and found a room elsewhere. The only good thing I can say is that the desk clerk tried to be as helpful and accommodating.as he could.

Never been to a Best Western Plus but now I know what the "Plus" stands for. When I stay at motels I always look for those extra little things that make our stay an enjoyable experience. This motel had it all; excellent service, friendly employees,great beds, large and clean bathroom, a large and comfortable breakfast room with a very good selection of breakfast items and a breakfast staff that are very helpful. My only regret was that we only spent one night !

I have stayed at Best Westerns before with no problems. This BW was in need of a deep cleaning in all areas particularly the rooms. We had dirty towels and one bed had dirty linens the first night and trouble with hot water. We were assured by the Saturday desk clerk that all issues would be addressed. When we got back for the night the room had not been cleaned and linens not changed and plumbing issue not fixed. The night desk clerk actually came up and changed the linens and we discovered that the mattress pad was bloody but sheets were not which means housekeeping simply put a sheet over the mattress pad and left. We did not see a manager the entire 4 days we were there. We could not get another room as the hotel was full. There were no hotels near that had rooms either. I gave my rating two stars only because of Ne the night desk clerk who changed our linens and Cheryl the person in charge of the dining area and food. Had they not been so helpful and professional I would have only given one star!

We had a great two night stay, August 17-19. The room was big, clean and quiet. The front desk staff was polite and very helpful Friday when we checked in. The only disappointing thing wacky 6:15 am the breakfast staff person was very loud. She talked very loudly, sang loudly and band the cabinets loudly at 6:15am. Otherwise a great hotel.

Beautiful and well maintained facility. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating to your needs. It was nice to find a pet friendly hotel that did not over charge you for multiple dogs. Great location to explore the seaside. I would highly recommend this Best Western.. This Best Western has a wonderful breakfast from 6am - 10am each morning.

This hotel is located in a small town about 25 minutes outside of Portland and gives you the opportunity to see more of the area than if you were staying in Portland. The facility was very clean, attentive to all details and provided an excellent hot breakfast. we really enjoyed having restaurants, places of interest and shopping close as well. The town itself is charming and is the last stop for the Noreaster Amtrak from Boston.

We stayed here for 2 nights, room not bad was clean, the mattress toward near the wall was bad needs to be replaced. Other bed not bad. Had to ask for hand towels. Pool was ok. No towels had to go get them from desk, because bin was empty. Breakfast well I had better. The 1st morning the worker Cheryl was very good and on top of everything. Breakfast was ok that morning, but next morning(today) was terrible it was left over ham which was hard & dried. The eggs were over cooked. The place needs updating. Otherwise not bad. The service could be better, when we checked out the lady at the desk did not ask how our stay was or anything. We stay at most Best westerns and we were a little disappointed with this one thinking it would be top because it's a plus one. Overall it's was not bad. I give it B-

Stayed here for 3 nights and had an excellent experience at the Best Western Plus Brunswick Bath. The rooms are a healthy, sensible size and were extremely clean and tidy on arrival. Check in staff were extremely pleasant and allowed us to check in early, which was helpful! The breakfast was by far the most plentiful and fulfilling breakfast that I've ever had in a hotel. There was so much to choose from, not to mention Cheryl's daily fresh pastries! She was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Hotel was ideally located close to main roads and Brunswick town centre. In a fantastic area. Would definitely stay again!

this hotel is centrally located for our yearly lobster trip to Maine. The staff in the hotel are very nice and helpful, they can't do enough for you. I especially love all of the stores in the area, including Starbucks.

We enjoyed our stay at Best Western of Brunswick, ME. It is set back from the road, so it was quiet. I felt safe with the interior access. The front desk attendant was helpful and at least attempted to find answers to my questions. The air conditioner and refrigerator worked well, which was great since a heat wave had settled. The breakfasts were good and well maintained. We were close to shops, restaurants, and major roadways. Considering other lodging in the area, they were priced affordably. They met the purpose we needed, and it was an overall good experience staying at Best Western.

My bedroom faced the back of the property and folks smoke cigarettes there, because our room smlled like a dirty ashtray (I suspect the smoke was drawn in through the air conditioning unit. My travel companions had a different room on the first floor and they said it was quite loud, and they also came home with flea bites on their ankles (this was the first stay of our travels, so it couldn't have come from anywhere else). No towels were stocked at the hotel pool, and the desk was often empty leaving folks to going looking for or wait for help. I would not stay here again or recommend it.

We were welcomed and everyone was super friendly. We were only there 1 night-just a rest stop on our itinerary but won't hesitate to stay longer the next time we're in Maine. The entire property was clean and the room was a good size so we didn't feel cramped. My only suggestion is that it would be nice to have some benches outside to sit on and look at the stars.

We had a long drive to get here. We were tired. They could not find our reservation but I couldn't find my confirmation. But she gave us the room at the rate we were originally quoted. She was wonderful. Our room wouldn't open and she spent about 20 minutes trying everything she could to get it open. To no avail. So she found us a room right next to the elevator because my wife was on crutches. She is a wonderful addition to the staff at this hotel.

This was our first stay at this Best Western while visiting family. The hotel is very clean, quiet and comfortable and we plan to stay here again when visiting family. It is close to restaurants and about 8 miles from the water. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

Close to the airport, Portland lighthouse, awesome shopping, and excellent Maine Restaurants. Vacationing in Maine, we took advantage of all these options. I will definitely use this hotel again when in the area.

It's a solid hotel with competent staff at reasonable prices. The breakfast buffet is better than average. We put our guests here when our house is overfull and we stay here ourselves until our home has running water restored when we arrive in the spring. The indoor pool is a nice plus that we haven't used in a while.

Hotel was dirty and certainly not worthy of accolades that were present on other reviews. White coverlet had brown streaked stains on the bed. When asked for more linens, the front desk gave us a different comforter with larger stains. The Keurig coffee maker had mold in it... I didn't take photos of the bathroom, but it was filthy. It would appear that the ratings are artificially inflated--there are lesser rated, but vastly better properties to choose from, I'm sure.

We stayed for 5 days at this location and found it to be comfortable & clean. The property does have some age, our bathroom door for example had apparently been damaged some time prior & it was patched & painted over. The bathroom was not appointed ideally for today's traveler. A pedestal porcelain sink had no counter & the small shelves in the bathroom were not sufficient for keeping necessities we would use daily at had in the bathroom so we had to often put things out in our room. The room had a larger refrigerator freezer and a small microwave and the climate control was excellent. The bed was a bit soft for our liking but overall we rested well. The location is pet friendly as well. They have a very nice breakfast area and the staff person was VERY attentive. We would stay here again , just one entry exit driveway but just off a business district which has many amenities available.

This hotel was the most cleanest, well maintained, beautifully decorated hotel that I have ever stayed in, and I stay at a lot of hotels! Bed was very comfortable. We had to leave early so was not able to have breakfast there. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This is our favorite in the Brunswick area. Over many stays we have found the staff to be friendly, the breakfast outstanding, and the rooms well equipped and clean. The only negative is that the in-room TV doesn't offer the Hallmark channel.

This is a nice quiet place with clean and comfortable rooms, good amenities. The included breakfast included is also good. The location is very convenient for Brunswick, Bath, other mid-coast Maine destinations such as Boothbay Harbor.

I was here with a group tour of Brunswick, Maine. The Best Western Plus met my needs. It was quiet and comfortable. Appreciated both microwave and fridge in room. Bathroom had phone by no fan! Throw pillows on bed had some dirt. The regular sleeping pillows seemed less than regular size were OK. Hallway air on Floor 3 was stale. Elevator got stuck for about 10 minutes but ringing alarm set it free-this is scary for guests. Front desk helpful and very good breakfast buffet. I'd stay here again albeit not within walking distance of anything!

The staff was great, the place was nice...my only complaint was that the pool was closed while we were there...and that was one of the main reasons we picked that particular hotel. The breakfast was fantastic--lots of choices! Not a lot of places to take a nice walk in the morning, but it is quiet. It was close to the Joshua Chamberlain Museum and that's why we were here, so it met all of our expectations.

As usual with Best Western Plus, we are very satisfied. Also, Pooja at the front desk was very helpful, particularly when she mentioned that we had accrued enough points for a free stay. This place is clean and quiet.

I don't usually write reviews but i have to on this one! I don't understand how this hotel got a 4star reviews?!. We were assigned to have a room on the first floor. When we enter the room, first thing I noticed are the beds. Lots of tiny hairs. It could not be a human hair because it's thin and short. And then I looked closer and sure enough, its a dog hair. And its on the pillows, on the bed, on the floor, or the furnitures. All we can figure out is when they clean the room, they put everything on the floor but the floor is dirty so there you go! We usually take our shoes off and just walk on our socks. But my husband noticed that his socks got coated with hairs from the carpet. The bathroom has dog and human hair. Same with the pillows. And the sheets and pillow cases ate very thin and old. They never wash the top sheets because it is dirty and has stains.. coffee maker is disgusting!!! It was so frustrating.. so we asked to have a different room. They tried calling us but it would ring but we couldn't hear anyone on the other end. I tried calling the front desk but the phone has no dial tone. Finally they came to our room and change us to a different room. Not so hairy. But still, the sheets are dirty. So we said you know, just one night.. its okay.. we just put the top cover down and only use their thin sheets. Breakfast: Went between 9am -10. Most of the food are gone. Waffle maker been having problems.. they have hot pans but no food in it... The outside if this hotel looks fancy but don't let it fool you. Even the pictures on their site. It looks good in the picture but not in real life. They're probably taken when they first build it but man!!! Its the sort of place where you feel dirty just touching anything. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

We had to book at the last minute. A very warm Saturday in June is busy in this area of Maine, so we were grateful that this facility had a room available. Melissa worked with me on the booking. She was determined as my cell connection kept weakening. We were very appreciative of her efforts, for the hotel was full the night we stayed. I think we got the last room. The clerk who checked us in was efficient and our room was ready when we arrived at 2 PM. The room was spacious, very clean, and well-appointed. The hotel sits back off the road, so it is very quiet. The breakfast room is large with plenty of tables. The eggs and sausage were excellent AND there was real, hot oatmeal with several toppings.The only negative comment is that the bathroom fan was very noisy. It came on when the light went on, a good thing, but that meant that the noise came on as well.

Was pleasantly surprised as we booked last minute. The place was very welcoming and nice. Interior was nice as well, seemed to be recently updated. Continental breakfast great, one of the best I've had.

This hotel is very convenient to Brunswick but nestled in the trees out of the main traffic. Within half a mile are coffee shops, big box stores, gas, and anything else you could want. 5 minutes gets you to Bowdoin College where we were attending graduation. The hotel is spotlessly clean, very comfortable, with an attentive and friendly staff. The breakfast was better than most of the buffet sort of breakfast with fresh mellons and other fruit, fluffy fresh scrambled eggs, make it yourself waffles , etc. The food was fresh, clean, good quality and well prepared. The facility in general seemed to be very well run despite a full house for the graduation and there were many extra touches that made us feel appreciated and welcome. Five star all the way!

This Best Western in Brunswick ME is a favorite of ours. It is conveniently located Pooja checked us in recently and did a fine job The staff is so friendly. The rooms are immaculate. Breakfast is great. We will return

Every piece of equipment is broken. Slime on the rubber floor tiles. It is next to the pool and the air in the center feels like the pool area. False advertising that fitness facilities are available for guests!

This hotel is conveniently located to downtown Brunswick. The hotel was clean and the staff was pleasant and efficient. The breakfast had a nice selection of eggs, link and patty sausages, bacon, waffles, breakfast pastries, fruit and yogurt. The woman in charge of the breakfast room did a great job. The only thing that detracted from it was there was no bathroom vent on the 3rd floor and the bathroom door always automatically would shut. This was just a minor inconvenience. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

A cut above most BWs, but priced accordingly. Breakfast spread is low-quality industrial type food., but most people seem to like that stuff. Work-out room is not much. Indoor pool! Who knew?. Rooms are clean. Microwave, fridhe and Keurig. Coffee choices are awful. powdered non-dairy creamer too. Yuck! Coffee in lobby is very, very weak. Starbuk's less than 1/2 mile down the road! Hooray!

Stayed in February, discovered an incorrect charge on my card in March. I returned to the hotel to resolve this, but desk staff refused to acknowledge the error and made MULTIPLE EXCUSES why the charge should be there. I asked for a manager. Staff told me there was none on site, asked for my phone, and advised one would contact me. They would not provide me with a manager's contact info. Their mistake was not an honest one. With no other recourse, I then emailed my complaint to BW Corporate. Three weeks later, I got a response from corporate. Shortly after, the GM of this property (apparently they do have one) also contacted me. I was eventually refunded the overcharge, in late April, after a lot of leg work on my part. Suffice it to say that I had to earn the money back that the desk staff took from my credit card. Lesson learned: Check your credit card statements monthly, long after your stay, to look for incorrect charges. DO NOT STAY HERE! THE DESK STAFF ARE INEPT AT BEST AND DISHONEST AT WORST, AND WILL USE YOUR CARD TO CHARGE FOR ROOMS, AFTER YOU HAVE CHECKED OUT!

When moving our business to Maine, we looked for a place to stay central to the various mid coast areas. WE PICKED THE RIGHT PLACE! Located perfectly to several coastal attractions, many major stores within minutes to get those 'oops I forgot it' things cheaply, and easy freeway access for travel. The staff here was second to none. Ready to answer any questions or give friendly advise as locals. Really enjoyed our stay. PS great breakfast spread.

Hotel was in a great location- easy access to get on and off the road and relatively near many great restaurants. Stayed here for two days. Place was clean, beds were more on the firm side. Breakfast area was phenomenal- first place we've actually seen the staff taking care of everyone getting breakfast. Internet was fast and reliable. Would stay here again!

Has a pool and dining area but no dinner service, only standard breakfast included. Its near the center of Brunswick (4 miles) and all the restaurants. Many options so you will not be bored. The road in front leads to the scenic coastal roads. The cost is less in winter and shoulder season.

Room smelled damp. Tub was dirty and sheets were either stained or dirty. Refridgerator made a high pitched buzzing noise when plugged in that was unbearable. Jetted Tub was advertised to be in the room but was actually in the bathroom. Black mold/mildew on the ceiling in bathroom. Toilet wouldn't stop running unless you pulled the lever up from inside the tank...when front desk informed they said thanks for letting us know.

Things that are good about this hotel: the room size and the pool. Things are great about this hotel: size of in-room TV and the grounds, for those who have pets. Things that are fantastic about this hotel: the delicious breakfast and, most especially, the staff. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Super friendly, professional and effective. At this price point, for a pet-friendly hotel, this place is an unbeatable value.

DO NOT STAY HERE! THESE PEOPLE ARE DISHONEST AND WILL USE YOUR CARD TO CHARGE FOR ROOMS, AFTER YOU HAVE CHECKED OUT! When I experienced this issue, I was told that I had stayed multiple nights. I stayed one night, during a winter storm. Hotel staff initially denied the fraud, then concocted another story when that one fell apart. I asked for a manager, and was told one would call me. This family is a bunch of crooks and should be deported back to the 3rd world country they slithered here from.

Spent the night here while traveling for business. Nice and cozy rooms, ample/well lit parking. The fireplace in the room was kind of a pain in the neck to operate (if you want to adjust it while it's running you have to touch a pretty warm/hot handle to access controls). Instructions would of been helpful since I have never used one before!! Staff we're friendly but didn't know what an Ethernet cable was (I needed wired internet and wired internet was advertised on their site) but at least they tried. Overall a nice stay.

We were so pleasantly surprised by the Best Western Plus Brunswick Bath. The room was spacious and well-equipped. There was even a clothes line. The beds were comfortable and the floor was quiet. The breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, and waffles as well as the usual breads, cereals and fruit. They welcome dogs which was really helpful to us since we had our dog with us.

The rates are reasonable, the beds are comfortable, they have an indoor pool and they allow pets. They also have rooms with outside access for pets but not many so you should book ahead. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they have a great selection on the breakfast buffet. I stay there quite often when travelng to the Maine coast, they also have suites.

We had an overnight trip that brought us to Maine. Not a lot of options, kinda a small town from what we saw. I stay at Hilton properties mostly. This place was clean, comfortable, quiet, great breakfast offering, great price, they get it right every time I've stayed here.

Friendly check in. Breakfast items good, sometimes things out or burnt and not replaced. Breakfast should be till 11am. Jetted tub had body odor that obviously was not bleached. Always stay here but jetted tub was gross.

Wonderful experience! I stayed there with my family for two nightsI and we had a great time. I highly recommend it! Professional staff, good location, good amenities! Despite the extreme cold and ice, the location of the hotel next to the highway protected us from any bad adventures.

For a hotel that claims pet friendly does not use pet friendly salt for winter operations. Found their snow removal and front entrance for icy conditions poor for customer safety. Two things that were a plus was the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was a big plus.

Very small indoor pool and fitness room. Breakfast choices were better than the average continental breakfasts most hotels offer. The extra charge of 20 dollars per day on pet stay was too much (total $80). Specially we did not request any room cleaning. T

Stay at Bestwestern brunswick is excellent. All staffmember are doing great job. Rooms are clean. Pool and pool water great .staying at this property from long time always hase nice stay. Breakfast is delicious

I couldn't have asked for a nicer time and I can't wait till I can afford it again, We loved the hot tub and the fireplace as well as the breakfast in the morning I even liked the coffee lol the staff was very friendly as well as helpful , The neighborhood was also nice and quiet

Convenient location for mid coast Maine. Staff is very accommodating. Breakfast buffet is included with something for everyone. Indoor Pool for the kids.Depending on your room rate, I might give this facility different ratings. Our comp night would get a 4. The toilet seat hinges were loose and dirty. But the the bed was comfy. So, bottom line is well managed, very good location but a little worn, breakfast and pool for added value, a great choice if luxury is not one of your requirements.

I had a very nice room. Even though my room was near the elevator and vending area, I never heard a sound from outside my room. The layout of the room was well thought out. The staff was very helpful and courteous.

This Best Western is near Bowdoin in Brunswick and also is very close to the decommissioned Naval Air Station. It is right on the road to some of Harpswell's best attractions, like the Crib Bridge and Dolphin Restaurant.

The setting is a quiet wooded area very near the needed amenities. Very clean rooms and good air quality. Pleasant staff and a great breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was much better than I expected.

This is the best hotel on the northern end of Brunswick. It is near restaurants and is on the way to the coastal islands of Midcoast Maine. I have stayed in Brunswick many time and this is my first time staying here. I will definitely go back in the future.

We've stayed here before but this is probably going to be the last time. After driving 8 hours with our toddler and dog during the thanksgiving holiday, we arrived and was told that the dog friendly room we specifically asked for wasn't available. My husband called to confirm weeks in advance to ensure we would have the room with the easy access to outside. As you can imagine, we were extremely upset and the front desk receptionist had no idea how to handle this as there was no manager on site. She offered a $5 discount which was insulting and after going back and forth for at least 20 minutes they got rid of the pet cleaning fee. The rooms are grossly outdated and seems like pretty crappy handyman work. For example, there was a gap in the rug going into the bathroom and nails were sticking up, ready to poke my son's foot. tip: when calling to confirm asked for the name of the person you are speaking with so if there is an issue you can make sure to hold them accountable.

We stayed here for three nights visiting family in the area, the hotel is beautiful, clean, welcoming staff, breakfast selection wonderful. Its in a great location, close to stores and resturaunts... The salt water pool was warm and the excersise room was great as well...would stay again for sure !

My husband, 2 adult sons, and myself stayed here 1 night as we were traveling further into Maine. We arrived late after a full day of site-seeing in the greater Boston area. The check-in was easy; front desk staff was very pleasant. Our room was big enough for us; it was clean and the beds comfortable. The full buffet breakfast was excellent; it was the best we experienced for our 10 day trip. The offerings were meats (yes, more than 1 choice), eggs, fruits, pastries, milk, juices, coffee, etc. Check-out was quick, and again, the front desk person was nice. We would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to this area.

Great place to stop. Central location allowed easy access to many diverse activities. Service, staff and amenities were excellent! Lots of great choices in complementary breakfast and plenary of seating allowing us to relax

Enduring an electricity outage after a windstorm, for our respite decided to move to a hotel. The Best Western had reasonable rates and a room. Prompt check in, the room was fine and well provisioned. It looked east away from the highway. The bed was comfortable; the bathroom is dated but everything (HOT WATER!!!!! Hooray) worked. Chef Cheryl (spelling?) runs the breakfast room. She deserves the Heisman trophy, no wait, that's football. I recommend she earn the Cheryl Trophy for serving the customers so well. This couple appreciates a good breakfast and a professional server. Two recommendations, the one flaw is room vacuuming is a tad deficient. A previous guest must have had a dog in the room, pieces of dog food were discovered in the blind spots under the desk and tables. Ventilation is underpowered. We had a warm day and even full cool on the AC was insufficient. Yet the room was still rather comfortable. The staff are cordial and helpful. It is a bit of a drive to central Brunswick yet quite manageable. Our electricity has returned so we are home; the three day Best Western stay helped us recover from three days in an unheated, dark, waterless house.

My bed had hair in it and was dirty. The room was not clean. I had wipes with me and wiped everything down. Hotel was full and we had 50+ people on a bus tour and they had other guests. The bathroom needs to be redone. Two women using a pedestal sink and trying to find enough spots to put toothbrush and makeup was not possible. The spa tub is so high and out dated and dirty. We were staying here three nights. If the room was clean and updated it would be a nice place as it was a spacious room with micro and refrig. I wiped out a couple drawers to place my clothes in and hung up other items.

I booked a one night stay here, King bed with "spa" bath. The room had the appearance of clean, but as I was setting my chargers up I noticed blond hair on the table and the comforter had someones short and curlies on it, as well as food crumbs. So basically house keeping just changes the sheets, and puts the comforter back on, no washes in between. Just what youd expect for $130 a night right? After throwing the blanket in the corner, I laid down to read. I heard the door lock beep, and someone enter briefly but shut the door before I could get up. So someone else has a key to my room, I really enjoyed lugging my computer and electronics around with me as I went out for dinner since I wasnt going to trust leaving them behind. The "spa" bath is large but the paint is peeling in several places and the home improvement store silicone job is catching moisture and grime. Wont be back to this hotel, thats for sure.

My husband and I recently stayed a couple of nights at this property after flying into Portland. Pros are that it was a lot less expensive than hotels in the Portland area. The first night we arrived kind of late... and the room was clean enough, bed was overly firm, but was okay for a night. We had a King room with a microwave and refrigerator and it had a decent full breakfast. On our last night before our flight home, I booked a room here again. I tend to request rooms on the 3rd floor where it is generally more quiet. The room we were given was nothing like the room we had the first night. The sheets looked as if someone had been laying on them. The pillows smelled like they had not been washed and the bed covering was stained. The room didn't appear to be very clean. I requested another room. We were given a room on the 2nd floor. That room was a "little" better, but the bed covering had what appeared to be an unwashed small blood stain on it. I refuse to sleep in something like that. We were then given a room on the 1st floor. It was late and we were tired, so I was not looking forward to having to find another room that late. The room on the 1st floor smelled cleaner, looked cleaner, and the sheets and bedding appeared to be cleaner.. so we stayed the night. The bed was more comfortable than the first night we stayed at this property. The person at the front desk did try to work with us in giving us an acceptable room. It is totally your call on selecting this property. Your experience may be fine (as ours was the 1st night).. or it may not be. In all honesty, for a Best Western Plus, this was not up to the "Plus" standard that we are used to. I will most likely look elsewhere should we be in that area again. They need to wash the bed coverings though "in every room"... that I can say. Throwing the decorative cover over stains doesn't cut it for me... when those are removed, the stains are evident.

Just what we wanted--a reasonable place with now worries for one night visiting the nearby college. Room was clean, bathroom spacious, bed comfortable, and breakfast well done. No complaints. The bed could have been bigger, but it slept two as described, and the one chair could have been more comfortable but it was nice clean leather.

This motel is a treat. Don't miss it if you need a place to stay in the area. We booked late while on the road and received the last room. We were pleased to get what we paid for. Very quiet- super quiet place.

We always stay at the Best Western Plus when we visit Brunswick ME. Our daughter attends Bowdoin College and we visit a couple times each year. This hotel is less than 10 minutes from Bowdoin College and more reasonably priced than the hotels adjacent to campus.

I absolutely loved this hotel!! The outside is in a shady, quiet area, but not far from stores. The lobby is beautiful and large. I thought it was a new property, but was told it was 20 yrs old! The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated with a large bath. Bed was comfortable. We had a fridge, which came in very handy. The breakfast was hot, extensive, delicious. My husband got bacon, eggs and toast. The bacon was crisp, my oatmeal was good, with several condiments. The dining area is large and relaxing. I would recommend this property to anyone.

We really liked this place. Everything was clean and well kept. The staff was very nice too. It is right by the stores and restaurants. The pool and fitness room were well maintained. Everything looked new. The breakfast was great, everything you would want and it was hot..

Good room with outside door leading to small deck that was good for the dog. Area for pet walking was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good, several options from waffles, scrambled eggs, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, pastries, etc.

Outstanding value. Very clean and comfortable environment and helpful staff. Loved the bed. This was a very good location a short distance off of Rt. in the midcoast Maine area. I would recommend it to close friends

My wife and I have stayed here several times over recent years because they are pet friendly ($20.00 pet fee) . The breakfast has been consistently OUTSTANDING. The quality of the sausage and bacon as well as the friendly breakfast lady deserve special praise, The problem remains the dreadful wifi that goes in and out all the time. It is also hard to get working...unlike the Portsmouth hotel where we are staying tonight. No problem whatsoever here, So,,,BW Plus...put some $$ into internet/Wifi upgrades.

My wife and I, and our dog stayed two nights over the weekend at this Best Western in Sept. of 2017. Overall, we thought that this hotel is better than most similar hotels. For dog travelers, this is a very welcoming hotel, with lots of outdoor areas for exercise. Plenty of parking right out front, and check in was easy and staff were very friendly throughout our stay. Our room on the second floor was adequately clean. It had a nice fridge and a cheap microwave. There was a desk/desk chair to sit at, and another large chair. We both like firmer mattresses, and I thought my bed was as comfortable as any hotel bed that I've slept in. The bedding was fine. The bathroom was huge. but the towels weren't terrific. The TV and wireless both worked well, we had to get the password from the front desk. They offered a really terrific breakfast, lots of variety and choices, in a very peasant room. There is a computer and printer in the lobby that was convenient. this hotel is convenient to many restaurants. We didn't like that the heat/cool unit was right next to the beds, and it blew air across the beds all night. The bathroom fan sounded like a freight train. Overall we both would recommend this hotel with no reservations.

A perfect stopover. A clean exterior and interior, nice room, helpful staff. A quiet location for relaxation, but close enough to Portland to enjoy the sights. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area for business or relaxation.

This is a very nice place to stay, It is located in a wooded setting that is very quiet and attractive. The facility is nicely appointed, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was in great shape and very clean. The breakfast was very tasty and included lots of choices. I would stay there again!

All services were provided pleasantly and courteously. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. I vote a five stars rating. The hotel and grounds were very well maintained and clean. The staff could not have been more helpful and courteous.

We stayed in few Best Western's on our trip and were very satisfied so this was no different. It was good value for the money and good location to find restaurants nearby. The people at the front desk were helpful and offered to show us a restaurant on the map. Had a good night sleep and a very satisfying breakfast.

This property is a solid 3 star - helpful staff, rooms were clean - they have dog friendly rooms which offer outdoor space - really nice, but you have to call to book those as they are based on availability. Convenient location off the highway.

Room was very nice and very clean. Nice amenities. Keurigs in the room which was a bonus!!! Hairdryer included, nice mini microwaves and mini frig. Beds firm but not hard. Not enough pillows but we asked for more with no problem. Real nice breakfast bar!! One of the better stays we have had on our adventure.

We stay at this Best Western on our way to vacation and on our way home, but for me it is a vacation all by itself. Nice, clean, quiet rooms, great beds and pillows! and the swimming pool is wonderful. Very good breakfast. They take dogs, which is a must for us, and we get one of the rooms in the back with a porch. Always quiet and pleasant.

The hotel was central to where we wanted to explore. Did not look forward to going back at night as the beds were very uncomfortable. The breakfast we below the quality that I would expect since people are trying to eat healthier. Very spotty internet service in the rooms.

Nice BW with pleasant facilities and staff. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit options which I liked. The room was ok - spacious and clean. Our shower was a bit funky with a head at each end but both not really usable. We had an end room so maybe it was different from others. We had a broken soap dish which we reported on checkout.

Stayed two nights for the 2017 Airshow. Around 2miles from the Airshows entrance. Old Best Western Hotel only newly painted. Worst beds since a long time. Pool area old and not in a good shape, like the rest of the hotel. But room was clean and breakfast was surprisingly good (fruits, eggs, bacon, waffle). Price during the airshow (~200$/night) way to high.

This hotel is just right for visitors to Bowdoin College. It's close to Brunswick, scrupulously clean, and offers a full breakfast at an excellent price. Parking is ample. If you aren't looking for charm or character, but just want a good place to spend the night for yourself and the family, it's spot on.

My son and I stayed one night for college tours. The hotel seems old and shabby. The employees were pleasant, but we did not have extensive interaction with many. The room was very dirty - there were old beer bottle caps on the floor, dried grass clippings in both beds, a layer of dust behind the beds that was disgusting and the towels looked like they were thrown into the bathroom. We slept with blankets and pillows we had in our car. The breakfast was average.

Rooms had tons of mold in the bathroom pool is very cloudy and slimy ran out of breakfast food every morning no and the price you pay is not worth the quality of the room that you get I don't know if I'd stay there again

this hotel has the most caring employees of any hotel we have ever stayed at. and their breakfast is the best hotel breakfast we have ever experienced. when we are in the brunswick area, we make this our home away from home.

We stayed 2 nights at Best Western in Brunswick. The staff was excellent in making changes to my reservation from 2 beds to 1 king. The best suprise was the quality of breakfast at this hotel. At most places, the breakfast buffet has runny, powdered eggs the BW Brunswick had REAL eggs, perfectlly cooked bacon and sausages. Quite a nice suprise. I would stay here again.

this is a wonderful hotel to stay at if your are staying on the Maine coast. this is our 5th year visiting lobster shacks and our first time at Best Western. We will be back. In previous years we thought staying at smaller hotels would be nice. We were tired of poorly air conditioned rooms and soggy mattresses, so decided to stay at Best Western, we were not disappointed. The beds and pillows were wonderful, breakfast beyond wonderful. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and modern.

The hotel is pet-friendly, although we didn't take advantage on this trip. Enjoyed the included breakfast. Had a couple glitches which the front desk handled, TV service just "OK", staff was nice, overall cleanliness just average.

This hotel does a disservice to the Beat Western Plus name! We arrived and hour early for check-in to see if the room was ready and were told .. not yet. We returned at the specified check-in time and were shown to our room. The room on entry had a moldy smell and it was immediately apparent that the carpet had not been vacuumed. Our attention went to the bed which seemed to the lumpy. When we turned back the bedding it was clear the linen had NOT BEEN CHANGED!! There was hair on the sheets and pillow cases. We notified the front desk that linens needed to the changed. Prior to Housekeeping arriving with clean linens we noticed blood stains on the pillows. Upon further exam we found 2 large blood stains on the mattress!!! It took 2 room changes to find a clean one. I"m a public health nurse and didn't think that our request for a clean room was too difficult to meet but it was at this hotel.

A tad bit pricey for the area, but in line with most other offerings. In-room internet was spotty, but rooms were clean and comfortable with microwave and minifridge. Complimentary breakfast was great with eggs and breakfast meats, breads, muffins, biscuits/gravy, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, and my personal favorite, waffles. Would not hesitate to book again.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered many options beautifully prepared. The room was larger then usual which was nice. The pool had a waterfall feature. The location is nice in that you can open you window at night and it is quiet.

Outside appearance is not a match to the staff and service we encountered. Looks great from the outside. Front desk and breakfast staff were unconcerned with assisting customers. They were not rude, but not helpful. For examples- keys didn't work (no apology), toilet ran all night (when reported they didn't even write anything down- and we told a supervisor), breakfast was served with old waffle batter and food that ran out, understaffed at breakfast, table dirty, food ran out.
