All and all a good experience. Arrived and got very well taken care off and even offered an early check in. Can recommend this hotel to everyone. Situated bang in the Center of bustling Sukhumvit rd with BTS close by and a lot of shopping, restaurants and night life
Exellent hotel it was because it is located in city area easy access to every where staff is very nice i will recommend one can book this hotel for stay as i am vegetarian SARAS gujarati hotel is near by as we could had gujarati food also. over all exellent.
Located in prime location and very convenient, Recommend for friends, family and colleagues who want to stay in sukhumvit area. Easy to access to BTS which is not far from hotel, variety of attraction places. Nice and helpful staff and cleanliness of room
Definitely recommending this for everyone who is visiting Bangkok, transportations are convenient lots of shops. It's nearby to most stations. Hotel staffs are professionally trained, upon arrival they provided me and my spouse a warm welcome. Definitely a good experience there.
I arrived at 11am and the conceirge accomodated me very well. The hotel is about walking distance 600m from the MRT station. The hotel sign is a bit hidden, so took few minutes to find the the entrance. Overall is good. Staffs are nice. Recommended, Good service.
I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Best Western Sukhumvit 20. The room was exceptionally clean, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was commendable. The staff were not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, making my stay all the more pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and comfortable accommodations.
I recently stayed in Suite Room 702 and had a fantastic experience. The room was impeccably clean, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, providing top-notch customer care throughout my stay. I was genuinely impressed by their professionalism and warmth. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Peter(702)
We're very satisfied and enjoyed staying here. All staffs are very helpfull, very friendly, full smiling, and fast response when we needed any help. The room, the facility and furniture are clean. Love the breakfast and coffee. We'll be back to stay here if we go on a holiday in Bangkok again.
Good service. Easy to find. The the suite was really large. Shower, bathtub, two couches, two tvs...all the amenities you may need. Very Good English speaking staff. Clean and tidy room. ...............................................
It is centrally located. Staff is also okay. Room is spacious and ambiance is also okay. Easy access. No good veg breakfast. They have breakfast arrangement at deck restaurant Otherwise it is okay but good for business visit. And this is my third stay in the same hotel
The staff were friendly, and the room was beyond comfortable.Thank you, for the wonderful hospitality ! We enjoyed the stay and found comfort in our accommodations. We look forward to come back in the future! Will definitely recommend this hotel.
Wonderful experience, Kind staff, Clean Room, Good location, very convenient stay for business trips, nearby plenty of restaurant options, taxi from hotel is cheaper, helpful front desk, room size is also very decent….worth every Penny.
We have had the worst experience ever in this hotel! - no porter to help us take the luggage to the room. Staff very abrupt and advised us to carry our own luggage. -no hand towels in the bathroom. - no soap bar. - bathroom very dark and badly lit. - 1 teabag provided for 2 people to be used in a day. - no breakfast facility at the hotel. A voucher was given that could be used at a cafe called “the deck”. 3 options were provided only. Please see photo attached. We have visited many destinations and have been extremely disappointed with this hotel. The staff were not helpful or welcoming. I would not recommend this hotel at all.
Sandy at the reception is really great. Warm welcoming, smiling and helpful. The hotel is Well located in the heart of Sukhumvit many amenities available all around. The room is clean and comfortable. Really nice pillows. Spacious room. Will be back
Had the opportunity to stay at this hotel during my recent stay and I got to say I had the best experience ever. Rooms were clean, staffs were friendly and even their service was top notch. Really have to give credits to their staffs for being super welcoming. Will definitely recommend my friends to stay.
The workers are so friendly~ had to do an early check in and she helped a lot. The staffs are so kind and generous. they all have a lovely smile. The bed and pillows are so nice. The room is so nice compared to the price. I will definitely come back here next time.
As a travel agent I would strictly advise please do not suggest this hotel to your clients it behaves like prisoners with their gusest they ask for security deposit while refunding they tried all efforts to cut security amount we talked with company and hotel but everything was waste in the end we had to left 500 thb of security amount in the a travel agent has to face all other escape
I lolike this hotel very cozy look like 5 star hotel the bed the interior and everything is very clean , my experience was good 😊 , when i come to bangkok i will try to book this hotel again because some pf my friends also staying on this hotel they love it also
I recenty stayed at the Best Western Sukhumvit Soi 20 Hotel. Very friendly and helpful team at the hotel which to me makes all the difference. The rooms are OK, internet good and the hotel is in a perfect location. What more can you ask for?
Clean room. Staff are helpful n polite. Will come again next visit . See you soon. Near to few shopping centre. "Friendly and personal service The staff were all very friendly and helpful and no request for assistance was a problem for them. The hotel is well situated, being close to shopping, transport, and the tourist sites. We would definitely stay there again. "
Very clean and comfortable room. Located in the heart of Sukhumvit BKK...easy to move around as there is a BTS asoke station nearby, also the MRT Sukhumvit station. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Have 2 elevators which are good for a hotel this size.
The room looks so cozy and smell so good, and the bed is very comfortableeeeeeeeeee…….. receptionist is very friendly and good service. Location is great, I have stayed here many times cuz this hotel is very good. And Khun Sine is very nice and helpful
Great service! Lovely receptionist and in a great location in Bangkok. A great place to stay near lots of good restaurants and shops. The hotel is cute and has a lovely vibe. It's down a little street with excellent cafes and bars. The warm welcome is the best part of the stay!
This is the first time I choose this hotel. The overall experience is good. Room is clean and service is good! Will definitely recommend to others. Location is also convenient, close to Asok station and there are shops and restaurants all around.
Great location. Great service. This hotel is right in the centre of the city, about a 10 min walk from the BTS and MRT. There's also a decent restaurant onsite. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay again next time I'm in town.
The room is really big and spacious, clean. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. if you planning to work and travel room has dedicated work space. And Last the staff is friendly and very attentive.
We had a very pleasant stay during our trip to Bangkok. Special thanks to Mr Go for making us feel special and being so polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious. Very close to most happening places around. Highly recommending. 5 Stars
Good experience and good staff (Mr. Go) working there 24/7. Nice experiences. The best western here is close to the centre and lots of 711 around which is really convenient for travelling and having fun with friends here in Bangkok!!! Really nice
Very good service staff, clean rooms, convenient transportation, quality food. Accommodation prices are reasonable, travel is convenient, traveling with friends is very happy. Next time I will definitely come back and stay here again.
Fantastic hotel and experience. Hotel location is great and near to downtown. Very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff is very friendly and always willing to help and accommodate according to needs. I recommend it. Good good good good good
Friendly staff in reception, arrived early and they let me check in before 14'clock. Quiet rooms clean rooms. The food restaurant connected to the hotel outside was amazing, the staff super friendly and you could feel they wanted you to enjoy. Negative in the room was the aircon that suddenly 2 days startet letting in exhaust air as I was going to sleep so I had to turn it off and let the reception know. The shower head was a bit cracked so a bit of maintanace is reccomended. All in all enjoyed my stay, good location.
Anticipation is building for my upcoming trip to Bangkok, where I'll be staying at a luxurious hotel. From the vibrant city life to the rich cultural experiences, I'm looking forward to immersing myself in everything this destination has to offer. With the promise of comfort and indulgence at the hotel, this trip is shaping up to be an unforgettable experience filled with exploration and relaxation.
Amazing team and really helpful. Really sweet. Kuntida is really sweet ! Location is great and the place is cute and really amazing cafe at the hotel with amazing food and great coffee. With really helpful stafff who is there to help at any point
The staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful. The HOTEL is located in one of the best location in Bangkok which has good connectivity with all main places of the city and special Thanks Ms.Sai who helped for an early check...................
The bed was super comfortable, clean bed with soft sheets, really clean room with no dust. In a very good location for nightlife in sukhumvit or for commuting via BTS skytrain. Fancy restaurants around or streetfood. The staff and manager Chakrawal were very professional, pleasant, and informative. I stayed in other places in the area similar in price and found they didn't provide the comfort and quality as Best Western did. Even Best Westsern here is better than the American locations back home!
Picked this hotel as I needed a base around Sukhumvit 20 while visiting friends in Bangkok. Initially it wasn't too bad, it seemed in need of a refresh/redecoration and the location was very convenient. So far, so standard. However, there was a strange smell encountered around the hotel and with the air conditioning on - on closer inspection I found black mould in the air conditioning vents in my room which can be seen in the attached photo. I mentioned this to the person on reception and noted with horror that the vent above reception was absolutely caked in the same black mould to an even worse degree, with the air blowing down on the poor unfortunate manning the desk. My room was changed which was appreciated (And the new room did not have this problem), but the whole experience really put me off using a Best Western in the future; I do not expect to have to deal with health hazards as part of a hotel stay. The one star is for the staff who were a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. I don't blame them for any of the bad aspects of my stay, but rather the franchise owners who it seems cannot be bothered. I hope they at least rectify the vent above reception for the poor staff.
Hotel is tucked in a small place but so is everything else. Very close in walking distance to mall maybe an 20 minutes and it's a nice clean mall also. The rail is also there but this being my first time I'm still learning. There are lots of places to eat. Great value
Overall good The location is not bad. I just walked from BTS about 7 minutes, better getting stuck in the traffic. Room is big enough for me with my children. That's okay for 1 night before going to Pattaya. Quite good in overall.
Nice hotel. Suite Room is perfect. Nice corner of the hotel building with city. Front office service is great and helpful. Hope to have a chance to revisit again soon. Price is also good and not expensive.
One of the best hostels I have stayed at. The great staff really make an effort to engage with guests. Good relaxed activites each evening ensure no one feels lonely. Clean and comfortable beds, clean bathrooms.
Good Room Room is big enough for me and by friend comparing with twin bedroom in some hotels at this price range. Staffs are attentive in working, good job. Overall is good for me. Set menu breakfast is good option, i think. Didn't try though. Maybe, next time, i will try. It's quite rush for us this time.
Walking to Asoke, it's quite easy, but it's hot during the day time. I stayed there twice. I like the room, spacious and simple. Nothing much inside the hotel, but it's not big issue for me. I went to shopping and do my business all day long. Price is not aggressive for the room and location. They have small computer room at the lobby to use. Good staffs and room. Hope coming back again.
Had a long travel and very tired...FD gave me an early check-in with a smile:) Also the room is quite clean...location is good too. Quite and reasonable price. If you travel for business, it's a good recommendation
This was a special price during Covid shutdowns. They had a good monthly rate which was very helpful as I was trying to get through the Covid restrictions. The hotel was comfortable and for me quiet. Although it was not a normal stay and had staff reductions, as I had stayed there before, the service was of high quality and professional. Any issues with the hotel were from restrictions Bangkok had placed on hotels and almost everything else. An example was that lobby furniture was removed for a time.
I booked this hotel because I was supposed to meet up with relatives but they cancelled. So I was left with this reservation. However, I would recommend this hotel, and come again. This hotel is clean, the service friendly and prompt. The rooms are sizable, kitted with safe box, and snack bar. The bathroom was clean and had a good shower. Great location; restaurants, bars and cafes, and of course, lots of massage shops. In the street, you can also try street food. Although only about a 7 minute walk to the MRT/BTS station they can run you there by tuk tuk which is a short and fun ride away. This hotel is not far from the shopping mall Terminal 21. There is a rooftop restaurant where breakfast is served. You have the option of a light breakfast ; cereal, bread, fruit and yoghurt, OR go for the full monty with a lavish fry up. The hotel was quiet so no disturbances from other guest or any construction work.
Stayed at Best Western Plus at 20 Sukhumvit during our latest Bangkok trip, and found it to be of great value. Pretty decently cheap for a 4-star hotel, with quite a spacious room and pretty modern design.
I stayed from Jan 30th to Feb 11th 2020, the Best Western Plus at 20 Sukhumvit was beyond my expectations. very well operated team from the operation manager Khun Chotikar to the receieptionist , house keeping, and the two secuirty guys outside the hotel. I felt very comfortable with their warm hospitality extended to me during my stay. The location was superb, everything just a walking distance. Not only i will stay with them again and again, i also will send them guest from Dubai too. Abdulrahim Alawadhi Managing Director Al Awadhi Travels Dubai-UAE
This was an excellent choice . Price value for an excellent location and very new modern hotel. Ok no swimming pool but really not require when is gas such a good location to shops , bars and nightlife . Easy walk everywhere. Or a very short taxi ride. Modern clean hotel. Excellent service with friendly professional staff. Yes I will stay again.
I unfortunately booked a non-refundable stay at this horrible hotel and wasn't able to push through because of the Novel Corona Virus travel ban of our business. I messaged and called directly and they said they can't refund. BUT THEY HAVE THE CHOICE TO REFUND. Thave no consideration at all despite the GLOBAL EMERGENCY. They don't understand hospitality at all. This hotel is BS. Their responses are repetitively scripted and not helpful at all. Their services are not flexible and accommodating and have no concern for guests' health and well-being even when the hotel have the choice to waive the no-refund policy. I wasn't even asking for my money back, I'm only asking for a change of dates or a voucher which I can use in the future at the hotel. If your going to a best western hotel go to Sure Stay Plus by Best Western Sukhumvit 2 instead! Their services are way better.
I have now visited this bar/restaurant 3 times. First time we left after 15 min after waiting for the staff to come to us for a order. It's a small place. Second time the food was cold and the third time after waiting fore ever the food was so bad. Spring rolls that was cooked not fried. The service is soo bad I cant give them any excuses. The food arrived before the plates and fork and knife, just an example of everting going wrong. I place looked nice from the street and good location. I will never ever go there again, so many better places on that soi.
I have been to the hotel a gazillion times within the last four years and cannot rave enough about it. Aside from the very courteous and helpful staff and great management (Ms.Sukanda) I love the rooms that get a lot of bright daylight thanks to the large windows, comfortable beds, great working area and modern interior of the room. Two elevators that run quickly ensure a fast access to the room. I disliked other hotels on Soi 20'where it took you years to get in and out of your room. Soi 20 is a perfect location as it is residential for the most part which provides you with tranquility. However, soi 20 is centrally located in Sukhumvit.
The hotel is slightly off the main road, Sukumvit. For that reason there is not any road noise in the rooms, it is easy to go for a quick walk to the shopping mall, or catch a taxi or tuk tuk to anywhere else you would like to visit.
What's great: attentive staff who assisted me right away. Room was clean and spacious for 2, location is near Asok bts. Shower stall is small and could use a caddy, otherwise toiletries will be on the floor. when showering water flows outwards so pls be careful.
The place is nice, rooms are quite large, location is very good, staff very friendly. The only disappointment was the breakfast. It was very poor and not very varied, no good pastries. The place is good but breakfast not good at all.
Stayed here for 3 nights at start of holiday. Hotel in a good area and close to all amenities and for sightseeing as near MTB and sky train. Hotel rooms clean and staff very attentive.. but the hotel is a bit on the dark side even with the lights on. Beds too hard, felt like there was a very thin mattress in bed not usual hotel standard (in uk and rest of Thailand). This is more of a business hotel for the business traveler.. would not stay here again
The hotel is centrally located at Sukhumvit area, within walking distance to both Terminal 21 and Asok station, approximately 15min by foot. Sukhumvit is my best option whereby you can get everything here, closer to all major shopping malls, all varieties of eateries (restaurants, cafes, as well as street stalls) and spa centers... Stayed here for two nights. The check-in process was smooth and quick. All staffs are nice and friendly. The room is spacious, trendy and nice, king size bed and also came with a big sofa bed. Everything looked great, they provided nice amenities too. Another great thing is the hotel room rate, it's really reasonable and worth for the value! Will definitely consider to revisit this hotel for the next trip!
Our second time in this hotel and as good as ever. The location is good. Food is good. Staff are fantastic. Rooms are large and well maintained and clean. A big plus for me is good water pressure for showers.
Very good hotel which is near to Bumrungrad hospital. I am visiting this time to do surgery so I did go around Bumrungrad to find the good hotel and I find this one as a best option ( location, room , price, food, service). Very good option for medical visit in Bumrungrad.
This place even though centrally located is not good for families. There were cockroaches in the room and when we brought it to the notice of the Housekeeping supervisor - she was very casual about it and said it may happen. We went with proof (pictures) and she brushed us off! The second was, we stayed for 5 days/ 4 nights and the room was not cleaned once. We had to ring for the maid, to make up our room, and she did it. The sheets, coffee powder, tea bags, milk creamers, sugar was never replenished and we had to go and ask for some. The third and major thing was, they said i had stained their pillow and i would be fined 200 Bhaat. They gave me an official letter to that effect. i ignored it and thought of settling that amount at the time of check out. We had booked 3 double rooms and 2 rooms with extra beds. But they said they had only 1 extra bed. The last straw was when they said they we had ruined their carpet and wanted US$ 2000 as compensation, which we refused. Then they started bargaining, went down to USD 1000, then to 5000 TH Bhaat, 4000, 3000 then finally 2000. We said we will pay up 5000 Bhaat, but we needed a letter from the hotel to that effect. They refused and said that they cannot give us any proof of the amount we had paid. Luckily for us, one of our relatives was a Thai lady and was fluent in the language. She called the Police and they came to the hotel. The policemen were very decent, they checked the room and could not find the stain. It was hat miniscule. Then the Housekeeping lady changed her tack completely (putting some politicians to shame) and said she never asked for any money from us. In short, do not go there, unless you want to pay extra. A very unprofessionally run hotel and the staff trying to make money on the side!
We had trouble finding a hotel in the area that would allow our 10 year old daughter to sleep with us without having to spend 1,000 baht a night for an extra bed. Bed in the Best Western was huge, plenty of room for 3, no extra charge. Price for the night was very reasonable for the area, for any area for that matter. Will stay again
Excellent value for money - located a short walk from BTS and lots for restaurants around the area. Room was excellent quality - large, clean and good sixed bathroom, staff are also very friendly and helpful Would definitely stay here again
Im very disappointed in your service. The room is so good, everything is fine even the food and from the staffs ( except to the Front desk who gave us an annoying look when we get inside the hotel wet caused by heavy rain and didn't even bother to greet us on our whole stay), maybe we just didn't receive what we supposedly be getting at the first place.
I think this hotel is underrated. It has spacious rooms, comfortable beds and breakfast on the roof bar is included! It is also on the middle of Sukhumvit road, not far from the Sky Train. It is inconspicuous fro the street and the reception area is small. But the staff will go out of its way to help you with anything.
This was my first stop over in Bangkok. Hotel staff were very helpful and always with a great smile! The location of the hotel was very nice. Terminal 21 was just a few minutes walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was so so. However, there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The housekeeping service was excellent. I'd recommend this hotel for those who are looking for a short stay with a reasonable price.
We booked this hotel by using reward points. I arrived at the hotel around 11 and the room was ready! At check in I heard we were upgraded to a suite because of our membership. I would really recommend this hotel since it's good located and had a great service. The only con is that there is no pool, which can useful in the Bangkok heat....
BW Rewards recognition - none. Front desk was clueless about the program. 3 days after check out (time of review), no nights/stays/points were credited. Room hardware in extremely bad condition, our door lock cant read the card and they suggest that we let the staff escort us up to open the door for us. The 2nd time it happened, even the staff card have issues with opening the door. Had asked for a room move and was not allowed for the first night stay but managed to move to a functioning room the next day. Since when have proper working room been a privilege and not granted? And its a BW Plus? Amenities wise is pretty basic, wouldnt expect much. However, its really shocking that the hotel charges for ice bucket. Even if the hotel does not run the fnb operations themselves and would like to transfer that cost to the guest (understandable) but the basic courtesy was to inform the guest first before sending the bucket up and not sending the bucket up along with the bill. Service staff was indeed friendly and helpful, although they were indeed clueless with the loyalty program.
Hotel staff is friendly and very supportive. transportation: 7-10 mins walk to the sky train or shopping mall. Hotel surrounds with restaurants and Family Mart. Cleanliness still needed to be improved.
Upon check in ... the staff was very hospitable. They allowed us to check in early with no fee. The hotel is very well kept. The beds are twin but all in all good. Will definitely recommend to family and friends. :)
We Were stay one Night, at this hotel.. Nice staff.. beautyfull room, and a Nice bar.. we vane to early. So ouer room wasnt ready.. We went for a Walk.. and sit in the bar. After an hour. They came and Said ouer room was ready.. no ekstra charged... A super Nice place..
We had a 3 night stay and this Soi is quiet and convenient to restaurants, bars and shopping. Very walkable or a short taxi ride. The hotel is very modern and clean with professional friendly staff. No swimming pool but really for a short stay that was no issue. We will stay again. Great value rates with spacious rooms .
The Best Western is a great place to stay. Aside from the nice, clean and bright (!) rooms with large windows and the nice view on the skyline as well as the amazing staff the access to your room is a great plus. There is no huge lobby to cross and two elevators run very quick an efficiently. The manager, Sukanda, has been so helpful during all my stays. I think this month has been the 10th time to this hotel and I love to come again.
Staff couldn't be more accommodating, as a Best Western Diamond Select member, I was upgraded to a suite which was a lovely place to spend 5 nights, the room was spacious and comfortable with a large bathtub, My room was at the front of the building on the 4th floor and it was very quiet this hotel is reasonably close to both the BTS and MRT meaning getting most places in Bangkok is easy. The only negatives with this property was that there is no powerpoint near the bed and the bed is on the firm side (too firm for my liking).
We stayed here two nights and had a good experience. The hotel is walking distance from BRT station and Terminal 21 mall. The rooms are good size, prompt housekeeping and helpful staff. We didn't use any other facility as we were out most of the time. Decent place to stay and would come back again.
Booked first 3 night in Asia again at BW20. Have been quite un-loyal the last few years by moving to hotels on walking distance from the the Airport Link Skytrain station Phaya Thail (Pratunam area - Baiyoke Sky, Baiyoke Suite and others) as I usually head to the Airport again the next day. After 30 years of BKK visits, now it is just transit place and .....to eat my fav hidden gem restaurant Krua-A-Roi. As I really needed a quiet place I choose good ole BW@Sukhumvit 20 again. Nicely tucked away from Sukhumvit road in soi 20. Asked and got a room on the quiet top floor, directly under the restaurant area. They have removed the little pool on the rooftop and increased F&B area. Pro's: - Love the rooms; cleaned daily, modern, great shower and it is quiet. - All staff are very welcoming and helpful; reception, cleaning staff and Mr Warayut from the F&B, really wonderful. - Good channels on TV, not going through 90 Thai channels looking for English language world news but all international pre-programmed. - Great value for money.... Con's: - can't think of a thing beside not being at walking distance from the Skytrain to Suvarnabhumi Airport. Traffic remains a killer in this city... Next time probably BW again!
Pretty well located and the hotel has a drop off service for the MTR. Room was tidy, clean and functional. We were too early for breakfast on both days so cannot comment on that. If being dropped just check the driver is taking you to the correct Best Western. Ours did not (not the hotel's fault at all). Change money at the money changers just down the street (much better rate) and eat in the Green Garden next door, rather than the hotel eatery.
We stayed in the hotel for three nights. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. Servis was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offerd something for european and asian taste. The Skytrain is located 5min walk from the hotel. Across from the street there is a German pub and a supermarket with a coffe shop.
Nice clean hotel with a lot of street food and convenient store nearby. Short walk to Terminal 21. Hotel corridor that leads to your room got no aircon but that doesn't bother me. Helpful staff and good hotel to stay for a small Budget.
Superb Place, strategically located in the heart of Bangkok. Hotel staff was too friendly and helped us to book all our cab bookings. Excellent breakfast and facilities. Must visit and highly recommended.
Arriving this hotel at 11 o'clock at night was a problem, we just couldn't find the hotel is the lobby is hidden in the back of the restaurant all front was dark signage very bad even during the day. I kept telling the driver to go to the Novotel which is across the street and is more visible. Other than that,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it was all G O O D. Just great helpful employees, I loved my room, it was big spacious and very comfortable, always clean, and I got extra towels daily, as per my request from day one. (Usually in other hotels you need to request daily) Everybody speaks English, so it was very easy to communicate, quick checking quick check out no room changes, breakfast was always fresh not a big variety of food, but always fresh eggs can be done as per your request and hot coffee to start the day. See you again next year
Pleasant experiences were forgotten when there was an incident of rude staff. One of the rooms we booked had twin beds merged together to pass off as a double bed. The bed was hard to sleep on, by the way. When we requested to change room, front desk staff Mr Somsak rolled his eyes, with rude tone that they were fully booked. He dismissed us, advising us to check with morning shift reception for room availability. We did not demand for room change on the same night. All we asked him was to reserve in the system a change of room for us for the next 2 nights stay. When I asked for his name, he pulled off his name tag for me to note down. For the remaining days, whenever we made eye contact, he would look away, pretending we did not walk through the front door. Horrible staff to ruin a pleasant stay. Be alert if this was a room you shortlisted for consideration.
Hotel is located centrally.but the nearby places serve only Thai food .you literally have to walk a lot to find Indian food. This hotel has no swimming pool and gym . Reception area is too small. Its only 7 floor hotel . breakfast is on 8th floor and that's all. No doubt the reception staff was good but when we checked out we were asked to pay 180 bahts at the counter for the snacks that were kept in complimentary tray. The counter person was not ready to listen anything as we were not told before that it will be charged.anyways that's not the issue.the bedsheet was stitched from centre. Language is big problem.here Thai ppl don't understand simple basic English too.and yes one big drawback ;this hotel doesn't serve Indian meal .They repeated same breakfast for four days .boiled potatoes, steamed veggies, and kidney beans that's all in Indian breakfast. We were little disappointed.and for sure next time won't prefer this hotel at all.
Stayed here for 2 nights. It's a new property (or at least it looks like it) located at a vibrant street with loads of street food and restaurant. Good service, very polite staff, reasonably priced rooms service menu in for business travellers and pretty good internet speed (i watched a movie online). One of the good choices in town for mid budget travellers!
This hotel is little far from busy sukumvit tourist attraction . But they have tuktuk service which goes up to Ashok bts station. Good hotel with courteous front desk. Very clean with modern amenities.
The room service breakfast was fast, fantastic and only about US $10. Definitely worth it!! Clean, comfortable room with a huge bed in a standard room. Took taxi to everywhere under US $15 to get anywhere. If you want to use the train the station is about 10 minutes walking distance. The bar on the ground floor and the room top served good choice of drinks and food. The hotel staff very helpful. I would comeback.
It's an okay hotel, no issues apart from a slow internet connection. If it was branded as a regular Best Western, perhaps impression would be better. Staff is rather nice, but elite recognition could be better. Rooms are okay. Sound-proofing is poor. More electric outlets needed.
We stayed twice for a weekend trip the past months and always felt welcome. Once our room was free and we were able to get complimentary early check in, which was very much appreciated and is not common in every hotel. We hope to be back soon.
Stayed here for one night on 22nd Nov. Staff at check in were great, room wasn't overly big but a fantastic bed, really nice bathroom with a great shower. The rooftop restaurant was good value and the food was really tasty. The concierge staff were great and organised our transport with ease. The hotel does not have a pool, but on a quick trip I don't think that matters too much. Overall; A really good short stay hotel in a great part of town close to Ploen Chit BTS. Well worth it.
Great hotel, ok I was upgraded so my room really was spacious. Well equipped and a nice view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of food choices around especially German and Swiss. Close to BTS and Mall.
Located at soi 20, very near to next soi 22, lot of good food at the street. But the hotel room is clean, spacious and nothing to be complain, at night its not noisy as well, and nearby family marts and 7/11, so its quite convenient. Will stay at this hotel again next time visit.
Nice and clean Acceptable accommodation. Relatively affordable. About 10 mins walk to the closet BTS, with shopping centres around. Quite convenient. Breakfast was a bit too simple, pool is more like a jacuzzi size It was also nice to have a free welcome drink
Friendly and attentive staff upon arrival at the hotel. Organised a taxi for our departure the following morning. Room was super clean and bed was great for a quick stay in Bangkok, with noise of the hustle and bustle muted. Located conveniently in 20 Sukhumvit, with nearby bars/restaurants and close to Soi Cowboy for a “wilder” night. Around 600baht from Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Totally loved the buffet! The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. The facilities were clean. The bed was the most uncomfortable since is on wheels. Overall, I'd stay again because it is walking distance to the mall!
we stayed at the best western plus sukhumvit for 2 nights. the location is great with short access to BTS and MRT, about 9 mins on foot. a lot of restaurants, stores, massage shops are available nearby. the hotel is not luxurious but functional and clean. room is quite large at the standard of bangkok. Breakfast at roof top restaurant is OK but not great. overall, I can recommend this hotel for all travelers.
Over the last few years I have had several trips to Bangkok and stayed at hotels of different price ranges, including the Banyon Tree and So Sofitel close to the Lumpini Park. This hotel is probably the best choice I have made and compares very favortable to other hotels on Soi 20, e.g. the Well Hotel. What I love about this hotel is aside from the amazing staff the functionality and setup of the hotel and rooms. You have two eleavators that get you quickly up and down (unlike other hotels) and the room is wonderfully bright with a comfprtable desk so you can confortably do some work while you are there. You don't have to cross a large lobby or even go into an adjacent building. The rooms are nicely furnished and I felt so comfortable at the hotel that I stayed there about 6 times during my 2 1/2 months trip to Southeast Asia.
Hotel is located in a great location. The free tuktuk ride made it easier to move around as well. The staff are very friendly and attentive to our needs. Rooms are of a good size however they are not as clean as we want them to be. Breakfast is also good. The reception though was very small, almost non existent but again the staff compensates for this small issue. It was a good stay.
Modern hotel nicely located in the vibrant Sukhumvit district. The Best Western Plus is just a short walk from Asoke BTS station and is surrounded by multiple bars, restaurants, street foods, convenience stores and massage parlors. Rooms are absolutely fine but somewhat a little bland. The room décor is all but fancy. I was not particularly impressed by the staff. I did not find them particularly friendly or professional. To conclude I would say that rates are generally attractive and if a good deal can be secured then you should not hesitate to stay there for a couple of nights.
Excellent stay. Staff were terrific, room was fine, location great and value very good as well. Stayed for 5 days. This was a very nice home away from home amidst the bustle of Bangkok. Minutes from Sukhumvit and the sky train. Street food right outside (best won ton soup ever) along with other traditional eating and drinking options. Can't say enough good things about the staff - 5 star service in a 4 star hotel. Highly recommended.
It was hard to chose a hotel in Bangkok since there are so many options. This hotel is well located, five minute walk to Asoke BTS and subway, surrounded by restaurants and street food. The staff are very friendly. Clean and recently renovated, it's a good deal.
Arrived at the hotel at about 9:00pm and the staff was waiting to take our luggage when we stepped on property. Smooth check in with lots of information on the questions we had. We had a large room on the 5th floor with a living room, bedroom and bathroom with a large tub for two. Minibar was stocked with lots of complimentary water. Any questions we had, the staff was able to help out, and if there was a language barrier, they were able to hand off the phone to someone who was able to answer the questions. The front desk always offered with our luggage or calling us a taxi. They set up a taxi service to the floating market for us which went very smooth. They have a little bar outside which has convenient happy our specials and cheap beers. It is a little out of the way of the Wat Aran and the Grand Temple, but it was still a great place to stay.
Decided to explore another Bangkok area and picked this hotel to stay 2 nights. Very nice hotel located at sukhumvit, less than 10min walk from the Mrt or BTS and very convenient. We booked superior room and had a huge king bed and spacious room. Bathroom, bed everything was clean and modern look. Great and polite staff working there as well. In the hotel surrounding there were several bars that broadcast the world cup and many massage saloon. There is family mart, atm and money changer as well just nearby. I need explore more this side so will probably book again next time. Thank you!
Stayed here for a few days with my partner, mother and brother in May. Was very easy to get to from the airport- immediate area is very vibrant. Lots of bars, restaurants and convenience stores which were very handy. Close to the BTS and Terminal 21 too which was great. Mine and my partners room was great- spacious, clean and no noise from the road outside. We had no problems with insects but my mother and brothers room next door had a few visitors. There's no air con in the corridors so it can get really stuffy when you're walking too and from your room. Breakfast was ok- not great by any standards, not sure I would pay extra if I were to stay again. The upside was we had a very early morning flight out and the hotel provided us a breakfast to go which was greatly appreciated. Overall I would stay again next time in Bangkok but without the breakfast.
Room was clean and huge size. For the price, i believe this has got to be one of the best of not the best value hotel within the area. Its a little bit of a walk to the nearest BTS (Asoke) but for those that dont mind this then I would very much recommend this hotel. I asked the reception if there was a pool in the hotel and she smiled and told me no, what she didnt add was there is a small jacuzzi pool that maybe could fit about 4-6 people on rooftop of the hotel for those that are interested. Only small complaint I have is the that bed although HUGE, is a bit hard. Overall a very pleasant stay. Thank you
Best Western Plus is a hidden gem. Excellent value for money. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Deutsches Eck restaurant across the street has good happy hour deals on German draft beer. Friendly staff at Best Western. Ten minute walk to the BTS Asok station.
The staff was very polite and professional with wide from the moment I stepped in, room was clean and I didn't have any issues during my stay. The only thing this hotel is missing is a nice swimming pool.
I stumbled across this hotel whilst staying in Bangkok. Whilst I have not stayed at the hotel I have had many meals here. There is a quaint little restaurant on the top floor which is essentially a roof top restaurant. The ambiance is lovely but the food is fantastic. I had the pork tenderloin which was perfect in every respect. A very generous serve with thick cut chips and the best tasting spinach I have ever had. The gravy was perfect. It was also very affordable. The beer and meal came to 390 Baht which is exceptional value for a high quality dining experience. The staff were attentive and welcoming. I will stay here next trip. There is also a nice open air street front bar that is nice to sit and relax and watch the world go by. Loved it.
The hotel although centrally located in a rather dingy side street. The hotel itself was smaller than the adverts suggested . The reception area was small and rather Spartan - and the adjacent 'bar area' was open to the unwelcoming street beyond . Our hotel bedroom itself was very clean and comfortable - and the reception staff were most helpful . The restaurant was on the top floor - although this turned out to be one floor up a flight of stairs from the last lift stop. The breakfast was truly awful The restaurant decor was tired and many of the receptacles for the buffet were either broken or 'not fit for purpose' There was no hot water and so when I asked the staff for a cup of tea, rather than the available coffee - they took my cup into the kitchen returning 5 minutes later with the hot water and a teabag in the cup. . I ordered 2 scrambled eggs but received only 1. So, in summary - the experience was rather like the proverbial 'Curate's Egg' - good in parts .
Very modern and stylish suites in this brand new hotel. Staff is super friendly and will do anything for you. Breakfast is ok, nothing too fancy. The pool however is incredibly small. if your looking for a hotel with a pool this is not the one for you.
A small hotel (7 floors I think), no swimming pool or restaurant (but small cafe linked to hotel adjoining). Now what it misses in size (and size isn't all that matters), it makes up in with super friendly staff, spacious clean room and good location with access nearby to some great German food or the Asoke area. They do have a free shuttle to the top of the road but Soi 20 is a flat well lit road that's much easier to walk on than say Soi 18. I did avail myself of a massage at Sabai Sabai nearby but the lady was hopeless and kept falling asleep many times mid massage. Wouldn't recommend that place. Got one through the hotel and that was excellent. For you guys out there, this is a ‘guest friendly' hotel and anything else you need is not an effort for anyone. The only downside was housekeeping that didn't clean the room until 2pm every day, and even when I asked reception at 12, they didn't turn up until 2. I will definitely come back and thanks to the night receptionist for some great help. He helped my stay to be memorable.
The hotel is about 10 to 15 mins walk from both BTS and mrt station, which makes it easy to go places. Room is clean and tidy. Hotel staff are generally very attentive, esp male staff. Breakfast was a bit bland, but acceptable. The bed was big and comfortable.
Went there for work... the hotel is nice and centrally located... room was nice and clean... Hotel staff was kind of helpful... Hotel is around 800 meters away from BTS... The breakfast is not Ipro the mark... there are almost no options for vegetarians... The good thing about the place is there is very good vegetarian restaurant Saras right next to the hotel... Overall rating: 4/5
Clean hotel in an excellent location that was cheaper than similarly rated hotels in the area. Short walk to the Asok BTS/Sukhumvit MTS stations for easy transportation. FamilyMart across the street for convenience goods. Lots of restaurants, clubs, and bars around the vicinity. The room itself was clean and a decent size, but little things, like having the toilet paper holder coming off the wall and two of the lamps not working, made a bad impression. Also, a large double bed is only two twins pushed together, so for a solo traveller I could not even take advantage of having a "bigger" bed by sleeping in the middle. Also during my stay, the hot water in the shower only worked once, so I spent the majority of the time taking cold showers. I didn't bother complaining about the hot water issue only because it wasn't worth the hassle for me when I found the cold showers to be refreshing after a long day of sightseeing in the sun, although this is definitely something that would be unacceptable otherwise for a 4-star rated hotel. Overall I had a fairly pleasant stay, but would consider staying elsewhere on future visits to Bangkok. While the location is absolutely wonderful and the price was cheaper than similarly rated hotels in the area, the difference was not so big that I would not spend a little more next time for improvements in the little things that would make my overall stay more pleasant.
Ran off to Thailand for some "me" time for 2 days - 22nd & 23 Feb. I love to stay in Silom/Sathorn area but everything was full up with minimum rates going around USD 150 + due to Chinese New Year peak. Found Best Western Plus on Sukumvit 20 for under USD 100. Room as well as the hotel was a bit small, the bed was not as soft, the views out of the windows were nothing much I was in 301; but the hotel, rooms, bath were very clean and the staff were super friendly.
I stayed 2 nights in this hotel, (late December 2017) and I really enjoyed my stay. The best is the location of the hotel. The staff was brilliant. Kind and funny. The room was big and comfortable. Price was really really good.
Stayed over at Best Western Plus with family during a weekend in Dec'17 The rooms were clean, with good facilities , location was superb, reachable to many shopping malls. Very friendly staffs . Would surely recommend this place and look forward to stay over again.
Stayed one night. Bed was rock hard and towels and bed cover had holes in them. They need to be thrown away. Toilet roll holder falling off wall. Receptionist didnt want to honour our breakfast package even though I proved we had it included on Hotel.com booking confirmation. Promised to change it but when we arrived for breakfast was told we had to pay...so back to reception and finally got it fixed.
This is one best place in Sukhumvit to stay. Good staffs & rooms are good. Breakfast need to change a bit. Overall Good stay at cheap price. AC system should be more improved though. Other amnities were good. Breakfast lacks Chicken items. Fruits should have more varities.
We've been staying here past couple of years. It used to be nice but now, the room is dirty, the maid hasn't vacuum my room since before we checked in. Terrible water pressure, shower temperature horrible either too hot or cold, bed is cheap and hard, towers and duvet cover got holes in them. Not coming back next year.
On transit, I knew this hotel would be of a reliable value, but the night spent there even was above expectations for the following reasons: professional but also much careful and merry staff, very clean and new hotel and rooms, much comfortable and pleasant rooms all this at a central location.
Careful and dedicated professional staff. Clean and calm rooms. Convenient situation: at walking distance from Asoke or Prom Phrong BTS (sky train) station; ATM right in front of the hotel, convenience-Stores and massage parlours in the vicinity, good Italian and Thai restaurants nearby). Possibility of parking a car in the hotel place.
Hard product is low end and staff might have been sincere but they aren't knowledgeable as well as they have very limited ability to communicate in English. No recognition of elite benefits.I hope this could be improved.
Cleanliness is an issue. There were Cockroaches in my room and the bathroom. The bed sheet looked like a used one, though they have changed it. The lobby is not great for a hotel of this kind. The bar was OK and so was the breakfast.
Sleek, stylish and in the center of the action, Best Western Plus At 20 Sukhumvit is the perfect option for guests seeking the bright lights and bustling charms of Bangkok. Located just a short walk from Asoke BTS skytrain station, in the vibrant Sukhumvit business and entertainment district, this modern hotel is just moments away from sprawling shopping malls, buzzing bars, gourmet restaurants, rooftop bars and other exciting attractions. The hotel's rooms and suites are all designed in a contemporary style with panoramic windows, working desks and modern bathrooms. Guests are offered free Wi-Fi and facilities including a business center, restaurant, bar and even a rooftop hot tub. For guests seeking a smart base from which to explore the sights and sounds of Thailand's thrilling capital city, Best Western Plus At 20 Sukhumvit is the perfect choice.
The hotel was okay, but maid service was lacking. I always had to call to have the room clean, even if I turned the sign on to clean the room on. Four hours later still not clean. Also the cleaning was not done well. Also I only had a full amount of clean towels the first night only.
well located on sukhumvit, not too far from the action. Rooms are still good and big enough. Easy access from skytrain and friendly staff at the reception. Did not try the breakfast however. Will come back for sure.
We spent only 1 night here on our way to Koh Chang. No problems with check in like others said earlier in reviews Welcome drink beer was nice suprice after a long day. Rooms are good and clean. Location is also good. Family mart nearby and bts is also in a walking distance. And we paid 40€ / night. Really good price/quality.
3rd trip to Bangkok. Nice staff, clean, spacy and cozy room. Strategic location. Convenience shop just across the street but stop selling beers after 12am. I will be definitely stay at this hotel in the future. Fully recommended for short and budget trip.
The stay is good. The location is good. Computer use is good. Would be good to have shuttle service to airport and main attractions. Add a gym is good. The room card detection for electricity is not really sensitive.
reasonable value for money good location was quiet when I was staying ,but the potential for noise was evident with many Chinese guests ,be aware ! arrived at 1700 hours room not ready ! why !!! offered a free breakfast but it still took an hour for room too be ready ! one has to ask why ?we had already prepaid and subsequent to our booking the rate was reduced by 25% .still the room was not ready why ? we never got an answer !
I have always stayed in this hotel due to its cleanliness and location. However, I have had bad experience during my 2 previous stay here. All check-in timing for hotels are normally fixed at 2pm. On the day of checking-in, I arrived at 1pm and hotel staff told me my room is not ready and to return back at 2pm. When i returned at 2pm, there was already a long queue of hotel guests waiting to be checked into their rooms. I waited and was only given my room at 3pm. I went to my room, showered and had a rest before leaving for dinner at 5.30pm. When i went passed the check-in counter, there are still guests waiting to be checked in. Hotel guests are tired after long flights and all they need is to get checked into their rooms on time. I think having the hotel guests to wait 1 hour to get checked in after normal check in time is simply to much to bear, when the hotel have ample time to get the rooms ready after previous guests checked out at 12pm. I have given my feedback to the hotel and the bad experience from my 2 previous stay has deterred me from considering this hotel for my next trip.
Overall the hotel in a great location. Close to Terminal 21 shopping mall and Asok BTS station and Sukhumvit station. You can easily walk around and find many good food. The downside this version of best western is similar to a Budget hotel and not much to eat even for the buffet breakfast. Overall...just a good place to stay for a few nights.
Have stayed at this hotel a number of times and the location just off Sukhumvit and easy access to the Skytrain makes it a good stay. The front desk reception staff are very friendly and helpful and make a huge difference to staying in this hotel. Rooms are clean and well appointed and the breakfast is very good
The hotel is located at the best spot. Room was very comfortable and the associates there are extremely friendly. It was me and mom travelling to Thailand and the purpose of staying at bangkok was only shopping. The location of the hotel is a blessing as it is not very far from metro station or the main street. The street to the hotel hosts a lot of massage centers as well. A foot massage will do a lot of good after a lot of shopping.
I had a good stay here, the hotel is in quite a good location. The room exceeded my expectation, it was a good size, clean and well equipped. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is quite good. I would stay again.
this trip was a business trip hence we looked for location. Best western is near public transportation. Room is clean and comfortable, nice staffs it was a good choice to stay for next time prompt service
The bed is too hard for me. Asked to arrange a quiet but give me a room beside the street. The shower room is small, the water pressure is not enough and the temperature is not stable. But the location is okay, the price is valuable but I think I will not stay again.
Great location, good price. Clean and nice. Will come back. Nice staff. Nice rooms, a bit short bed... Bathrooms are large... Recommended, i did not try the breakfast. Of course there are better choices in Bangkok but it depends on the budget.
Clean room, friendly staff and easy access to Asok BTS station and other transportation mode. Walking distance to Terminal 21. Additional bedding charged to almost price of room ! Housekeeping of room conducted only late in the afternoon.
Simple clean and comfortable for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff. Location is in Sukhumvit Soi 20, central and easy walk to BTS/MRT. 15min walk from Terminal 21, on a quiet slip road from the main. No noisy pubs and bars, but it has ample choices for food and massages.
First moment when i arived hotel, lobby a little bit small and uncomfortable but hoel staffs is really helpful and nice. We're stay at room with big window view to city, beautifull and the room very clean and modern. Nice breakfast but please put more western food. Lovely stay and thank you for help us w/ free tuk tuk to rmt on the last day. Hello from Hanoi, Vietnam.
This is the hotel I choose every time I stay in Sukhumvit in Bangkok. The hotel is very well kept, the staff are friendly and helpful and it is in a quiet location. Very close to BTS Asok and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants.
We stayed here for 1 night in a very comfortable room, good bed and nice shower. The staff was very helpful and spoke very good english. Breakfast here is a good addition. Location is perfect close to the skytrain that takes you everywhere, or take a taxi to town
A short comfortable stay in Sukhumvit with just a 10 min walk to Phrom Phong BTS and EmQuatier. Polite and friendly staff. Located in a soi with frequent taxis and tuk tuks. Located within the street are two popular German restaurants / bar including other good variety of international cuisines in the area. I indulged in the delights of the near by Korean grill restaurant called Banjoo.
Clean hotel, value for money, great location and easy access to MRT station. Near the main road, and easily accessible to food stalls, pubs, and massage center. Would definitely stay in this hotel again!
I only stayed one night but I had a great experience - the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and check-in and check-out were both fast and efficient. The location on Soi 20 is also great and very convenient. Good value!
Checked in very good ans fast. Staff are nice and friendly. Lounge outside hotel. Mini market just infront of hotel. Room is nice and comfort. Bathroom is good. Aircon is good. Lovely hotel. Walk around and shopping area already in distance
nothing much to say, but I will definitely stay again in this hotel, hotel staff was so caring, everyone of the them, if you are looking for the hotel, don't even think twice, trust me, you will love this one.
All Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Location of the hotel is spot on, close by to all party spots and shopping ( night markets and malls ). Rooms and room amenities are just perfect. Not too pricy.
This is a good location and only a 5 min walk to terminal 21 shopping mall and the station... the rooms are a good size.. beds are comfortable. Good size bathroom. Small pool on roof. Nothing bad to say except pool and pool area is small
The staff were nice and helpful. Hotel was nearby bts and mrt and also terminal 21. However I was lost in day 1 since the google map was wrong and hope hotel to fix it. It was convenient to have spa and eat as well as there was suitable for night life. Highly recommend for friends or couples.
water pressure in the shower is weak, carpet is full of stain, window curtains are full of stain, lobby should have a bigger wider sofa, the rest are good, location is great and the best thing is right next to street food stalls
Stayed here for 3 nights, honestly not that impressed. It's inside a very narrow lane ( Soi). When you enter the lane fro Sukhamvit, you will find lot of street food outlet and they keep the area pretty dirty. After entering the hotel, i found the lobby is extremely small ( tiny infact) The room was large enough for one person. But the interior of the toilet was very depressing. Also, the views are not existent. The bed was very hard. The house keeping staffs cleans the room on a daily basis but i found some dirt in the corners of the room. Wanted them to launder some cloths urgently, they said they need one full day. Lastly, my biggest complaint, after checking out, I wanted a glass of water, and they asked 30THB for that. Service level can definitely improve.
Although I stayed here for a day only out of 10 days tour of Thailand, I am happy with the services. Easy and quick checkin with smiling faces, informative front desk, neat and clean rooms, cozy bed and few snacks and drinks (chargeable) inside rooms. Close to a Kilometre from night life area Soi cowboy and a little less from sky train station. Overall nice place to stay and would recommend. Will come back!!!
Nice room, good size bathroom, strong wifi bathroom could be brighter. Close to the skytrain and terminal 21 mall. Family mart across the street. Would recommend anybody to this hotel. Not far from sukumvit main road.
The roads are pretty narrow and busy during office hour. You'll get used to it after the first 10mins of stay. There's also lots of tailor shops along the main road, who can tailor business shirts and / or pants within 24hours at a reasonable price. I'd go back to tailor more shirts and pants next time if I were to return to Bangkok.
Stayed here many many times but my stay of May 17 was a disaster to say the least. Stayed in room 801 and around 10.15 massive amounts of water started pouring out the aircon onto our cases and shoes. Called reception and maintainance came to fix the problem. Went back to sleep only to be woken again at 2.45am with water everywhere again resulting in us having to change rooms and a sleepless night. No compensation offered even after talking with the operations manager who I might add did not even offer an apology
Great location, near BTS Asok and Metro Sukhumvit. The room considered quite big for 2 adults Poor service, because everyday housekeeping always forget to replace our towels ( face and hand towels ) The water running in toilet had bad smell.
Great hotel, Hotel staff where so helpful, Rooms where really big, great internet, felt like home away form home. Highly recommend, and was a great price as well. The bed was really big, fit for a king :P
I arrived to the hotel late after checking in the bathroom was not clean and garbage in the toilet was still full from the first before and the next day even that we asked the reception to clean the room before we leave we came back and no one has cleaned it, some of the reception staff were really unprofessional and unfriendly especially the guy who works in night shift
We stayed for 2 nights. We arrived at the hotel at 07.00 we left bags as too early to book in, the bags were put in a locked room which we were happy with. The room was of a good size and the bed enormous. The room was clean though the carpet was in need of a clean. The breakfast was good and there was something for most tastes. The location was really good, easy walk to Skytrain and Metro. Metro great for getting to the train station especially if you have bags as all escalators so no heaving bags up and down stairs. We would stay at this hotel again it is a reasonably priced good value hotel in a good location.
Whenever we travel before we book a hotel I always look online for a local Best Western. If it appears to be nice and conveniently located I will book immediately, this was done six months in advance. It is normal as a travel writer to observe the conditions, employees, restaurants, and location of my lodgings. The BW Plus at 20 Sukhumvit was an excellent choice. The staff is very friendly and helpful with first timer information. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and the roof top restaurant had excellent Thai Curry. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the Terminal 21 mall the Sky Train as will as MRT. Enjoyed our three days and when we return for another visit will be staying here again.
Was only in Bangkok for a few days, but we enjoyed staying here as we could walk to alot of places, and taxi drivers/tour guides knew where we were to make getting around easier. The rooftop bar is lovely, and the breakfast was so good!
The staff was amazing and helpful- good place for a fair price to stay near Bumrungrad hospital. No facilities but as it is located on a central area is ok. By taxi easy to access restaurants and shopping mall.
Went for a beer as it was happy hour and looked like a nice place to sit and watch world go by! 69 baht was also reasonable price for a pint. The singa was watered down. When I asked and said I could not drink it as it was flat and bad taste to it, not fresh beer at all. They made us pay for both beers and we left. Make sure you don't make the same mistake as staff were also very rude as we saw water next to the singa keg with a hose in the water. I wonder! See photo attached.
It is located near subway and sky train and many good restaurants and bars around this area. It takes only five minutes to walk to subway and sky train. The staffs here are very friendly and helpful. The room is very clean and comfortable. Also the price is very reasonable.
I have checked in early of April 2017. Was greeted by the hotel staff and did a fast check in. I was escorted by the hotel staff and bring my luggage to my room. The room is quite modern design with a nice big bed. More like a business class hotel. The air-conditioner temperature control was excellent. I able to control it down to the most cold temperature i have ever sleep in a hotel. The water heater temperature was excellent with good control of hot and cold shower. The location for this hotel is well connected all around the happening entertainment and restaurant in Sukhumvit. You can reach to Terminal 21 shopping mall. In addition, you can take BTS transit line to Phrom Phrong station to EM Shopping Mall. Further, you can go to Ekammai Station for the Ekamai Shopping Mall. You also can take the MRT transit line to travel all over Bangkok. The hotel location is highly convenience and nearby to the transit line. The staff is helpful and always greet the guest. In addition, was helpful to make the taxi reservation. Good location!
This hotel is located very close to Sukhumvit. It's just a short walk and not much farther to the closest skytrain station (Asok) and MRT station (Sukhumvit). The rooms are clean and spacious. We will be back.
A very honest hotel with superb staff and management, I was rushing around and totally forgot my watch in a case , I emailed them and they said they had found it ! Stayed here many many times , never found a fault , clean tidy smart and the best part is the wonderful staff !! Many thanks BWplus 20 see you soon
I stayed here in 2015 and really enjoyed the room, service and staff. Returning in 2017 was a disappointment. Rooms were not as well kept, lots of young people working here now and don't have a clue about service. I notice restaurant and wait staff on their cell phones; long wait for food drink even though not many people around. The best thing about the place was the bellman Ecklon, when he was working. He was friendly, helpful bent over backwards to ensure I was serviced. Half the time cleaning staff did not replenish coffee, water, and bathroom products as they should. One day I told them to skip cleaning and just bring bottle water. I got a call asking if I wanted my room cleaned and no water. I stayed 9 days in room 403. It was across from the elevator but still quiet. The view is nothing to rave about as there is a building next door and view of an Indian Restaurant entrance. Overall, stay is only OK as the area is convenient, on foot or sky train you are OK. Try to get onto the main street from the Soi 20 can be daunting in a taxi.
Hotel is filthy for a Best Western, staff are not helpful and will attempt to coerce you into fix rate taxis. The tuktuk was "broke" while we were there and could not shuttle us to station, it is close and the walk is fine. Not worth a free stay, next trip through we paid for a better hotel.
this is budget hotel but not cheap, the strength point of this hotel is location which middle of sukhumvit and near BTS sky train. Hotel also offer free shuttle sent to BTS and room are include ABF on hotel rooftop.
Good hotel in this price range. About 10 minutes walk to nearby BTS station. Only allowed 1 hour late check out when I have asked for 2 hours. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Stay was good. Location is central and there is not much noise. R they can improve the breakfast a little which was a good value buffet for 300BT
The hotel is quite nice. However, I had to waste time and money with their Wifi that is not setup properly. My smartphone can connect everywhere except at that hotel. To be fair, other customers had no problem. However, my phone doesn't accept unsecure connections so I had to either go to the restaurant next door or eventually buy a THB 170 SIM card.
This is my 5th or 6th stay at this property and I booked in again in 7 weeks. OK its just a hotel like plenty of others in the area but the staff give it an extra edge. All are competent, friendly and courteous. The rooms are spacious and well equiped. The beds are exceptionally large and comfortable. The bathrooms have large walk in shower cubicles. The water flow is hot and consistent. Just a small tip. Make sure you change the electronic switch from "do not disturb" to "clean room" when you leave. I forgot and the room never got serviced. My fault not theirs. Also if rain is forcast buy a brolly. The concierge only has a limited supply of complementary umbrellas. The Family Mart across the street is further than you think in a Bangkok deluge. The street and surrounding area has a huge range of food and drinking options. From Thai street food to a whole range of International options. The German bakery down the Soi is very good. Again I was more than satisfied with my recent visit.
Very hospitable and friendly staffs. Bell boy went the extra mile to make my trip more convenient. Hotel provide free Tuk-Tuk shuttle to the nearest station as well. Lots of food stalls around as well. Would definitely come back again.
The hotel is in a nice central location. The room was clean and well-furnished with nice amenities. However, we found the place a bit stuffy and dark. The reception staff can be warmer. The hotel has a four star rating although it seems half baked (meaning, the services and amenities barely made it just to comply with four grade standard). The breakfast was a bit pricey for the type & quality of food you get. There was no pool but a big jacuzzi on the rooftop. Improvements can be made, of course.
We stayed 3 nights in the hotel after booking through a online app. The hotel is very nice to stay. Decoration is new & wifi speed is also good. Reception & staff are cordial. However, location of this hotel is little bit far from night market.
Amazing location in the the heart of the city .. we stayed there for 2 days .. we didn't spend much time at hotel .. we were shopping and enjoying massages near by..that's what we liked so much the room was comfortable being hotel fully occupied the room was quiet .. Nd the property easily connected via metro train right at the door step.. if u gonna party in city and need comfortable sleep afterwards this is the best (western) option ...
Overall it was a good stay. The hotel though is a bit far from the main road and BTS but there is a free tuk-tuk service that the hotel provides (I just tip the driver 20 baht as its one of the staff driving) The rooms are comfortable and the bed nice. The only complaint I have is that the air conditioning in my room had an extremely powerful and cold motor and it was constantly blowing on my head when I slept. I didn't use the pool though I heard people going in and out of it as my room was just below the roof top pool. My only peeve is that the hotel does not seem to recognise and acknowledge their elite guests from the Best Western Rewards programme which was why I chose to stay here. Its a nice hotel, but its a little out of the way..
Firstly. I had just come off a very bad experience in Sea Sun Sand Resort in Phuket. So the moment I entered Best Western I was extremely pleased with the pleasant smiles and excellent service that was being provided by the hotel staff. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and the staff was just excellent (Right from the time we stepped into the hotel to the time we checked out and left for the airport). The location is a big plus too! It is very close to the metro station!
I was there 2 times in 10 days, the first time i made a booking for 2720 baht, when i come this girl in lobby take photocopy from my Master card and when i done 2 days later she have charged 3600 baht without any code or any request to me, my card is 3D secure and i dont no how this management do for take money without card and without safety code. The room service is perfect and cheap. But after control I see also than this accounter not make my rewards points for 3 night to my membership card. Really take care dont give any card copy
The best western plus at 20 sukhimvit was very accommodating for my first trip to Bangkok. Walk able distance to terminal 21, Soi cowboy, tons of street food. Great location, very very helpful staff there to help you with most anything. Room service was on par, delivered fast, good quality and very affordable. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to be in the heart of it all. Lots of massage shops around, tuck tuk and taxis available and the sky train links at asok which is also walking distance.
This hotel is very well worth the money. The location of the hotel is very good; the room is at the same time quiet and comfortable and has every basic stuff that one would need for a good hotel stay. I am very pleased with the hotel and consider it a very good value for money. Just minor point - parking is rather limited. Bring no car if you can.
It is a convenient hotel with a lot of cafe around the hotel. The room consider spacious enough. They have connecting room if needed. They have quite a lot of channel's TV if we prefer to stay in the hotel.
This hotel in Soi 20 is a your classic hotel experience. The rooms size was adequate and big enough (standard room). Here you find all the typical amenities as you would expect such as minibar, cable tv, aircon etc. The bed was big and comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom although clean looked a bit dated but overall ok. A little drawback is the open shower where water splashing on the bathroom floor is inevitable. Staff were very nice and polite. If you look for a quite reasonable hotel in a quiet area a bit of the beaten track this hotel is a good choice. The skytrain station Asok is just a 5-7 min walk away. Also there are quite a few restaurants within a short walking distance. All in all a good experience and good value for money.
This hotel is in the heart of the town a great value for your time. The staff is the best, friendly, helpful, accommodating. The rooms are large. And the breakfast great accommodating both Asian as well as Western tastes.
Best Western is a more than adequate hotel and I enjoyed my stay. The room was well aired and excellent views . The staff in the main were excellent. I still would prefer to have a lift without access without a card or some similar precautionary measure. However the area and room were excellent value for money. Unfortunately I had a problem and made a mess in the room. When returning to the hotel after a night out I was addressed by the night manager in front of other guests and had the offending item waved in my face by this person. While asking when I would pay to have it cleaned. this was unnecessary and very embarrassing in front of other guests. My stay apart from this was excellent and good value for money
Only stayed here for a couple of nights but the rooms were very nice with a really good ensuite with a massive shower, very clean and seemed pretty new and well kept. Staff were friendly and efficient. The room is worth the money but some of the extras such as laundry and food seemed a bit expensive.
When I arrived the staff at the reception was very nice and helpful. The room is quite big and with modern furniture. Even the provided internet connection is quite well. So far that's okay but there is one big BUT: If you need electrical medical equipment to help you to survive the night like I do be aware to bring a very long cable with you. There is absolutely no power outlet next to the bed. I had to rearrange the furniture to be able to use my anti-snorring machine at night. And the carpet in the room is very dirty. In the end I must say I have been in better hotels for a lesser price. One more addition: Tripadvisor asked me if the hotel has a rooftop pool. As I am an honest person I must say yes, but there is no place to give a comment so I will give it here. What they call pool is just of the size of a big whirlpool and it is, according to what it says, 1.2 m deep. So to call a rooftop pool is a little exagerated.
Generally quiet good hotel. Quiet, staff were very friendly and helpful. Bar and Breakfast staff were great. We did have a difficulty with a booking agency AMOMA who made a claim that was not fulfilled, this did create some confusion with front desk staff. This was probably my only area of complaint. The front desk and myself experienced communication difficulties. It did require me to check several times to ensure my instructions were carried out. It is best not to assume in this hotel but to check details.
I spent few days in BKK staying in this hotel with pleasure. To reach the town centre the position of the hotel is not the best, anyway the metro is quite near and everything was fine, good room and service.
Overall it is a good hotel with nothing can complaint. Room are spacious enough to place our 2 big luggage. I love the sofa in the room and suitable for reading. Bed are large enough and comfortable. it come with 4 pillow and 2 little pillow on the sofa. Bathroom are nothing can complaint , provide with tooth brush and shave kit. Staff are friendly enough , they able to find me a carpark in front of the lobby although the hotel did not provide carpark. the breackfast are normal , egg station , fried rice , spaggeti , sausage , and also serve cheese. it does surprise me a little bit with this price level. However , the restaurant on rooftop are aged and suitable renovation are needed. the swimming pool are super duper small , but i din't enjoy it since it it under maintance. The hotel location are nice , 10 minutes walk to asoke or phrom phong. there are a Family Mart just opposite the hotel, you can buy some beer or snack there. The hotel location are a bit far from main road but it gives us peaceful rest. there are some restaurant around the hotel even a pub there for enjoying sport channel. Nothing can complaint at this price level, it is superb for those who are travel a lot and rarely rest in room.
Pathetic staff I called upon a bottle opener and I was told to come down and get bottle opened. Firstly they never pick up phone on front desk we have to try couple of times to get through them and I think they belong to hospitality industry where this kind of answers are not accepted. I stayed with them for 5 nights and all what I had asked for was above thing. I visit Bangkok very often so I would suggest and would also stay at Novotel next door or like always 39 Boulevard at soi 39. Anyways I was dissatisfied with them and would never ever be staying in Best Western unprofessional group.
Spent just over 2 weeks here after I broke my leg in southern Thailand. The staff were amazing and always helpful. With everything. My mobility... They gave the disabled room with the disabled equiped bathroom. You don't know how good this can be until you need it. Paperwork... As you can imagine, insurance paperwork and scanning documents, hospital visits. All handled easily for me and with no problems. Room service... Being stuck in bed for a while and not able to navigate the streets of Bangkok very well. I ate everything they had on the menus a few times over. Great food at a good price. Will I go back? Absolutely! A great hotel in a great location. Many people I spoke to were multipul returning guests. It's great value in the insider deals and too good to miss. I would choose the bigger rooms if you plan to stay a longer time. I will return, you can count on it...
What we saw on the Booking.Com website was totally different from reality. From now onwards will never judge the book by its cover. The first impression of a two person cramped Reception destroyed everything though the Reception staff were helpful and friendly. We were unsatisfied with almost everything from the poor quality of accommodation and very basic break in addition to a crapy environment outside the hotel. Overall, we were unhappy with the hotel and will not stay there again mor would we recommend to anyone.
This is a good hotel but needs some improvements to meet the standard it is aiming for. I had problems with my reservation, with services that were listed but in fact not available such as laundry and with the air conditioning in my room which was loud and impossible to adjust.
This hotel is not too big, but it is so basic. The rooms are normal. The shower is ok, beds are firm. Breakfast is too limited, don't book it because it's a waist of money at this moment. Everything is average, the room, the service but also the price. I don't even have much inspiration to think of good or bad things. Take it for sleeping, not for enjoying the hotel. And as mentioned by other reviewers, that bathtub jacuzzi next to the breakfast room is funny and not something to use. Take it if you don't have good other options, otherwise look further.
We stayed here for 2 nights and it was wonderful! Our first night we ordered room service from the hotel's restaurant and I ate the best Phad Thai dish I've ever had for 250 Baht. The roof top restaurant have an all you can eat buffet for 200 Baht a person which is super cheap and the food was good! All the staff in the hotel are very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and nice as well. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again.
This ain't a bad place to just stop over for a few nights if you are travelling to Bangkok. From the airport also it's not too far. And also you are not so far away from the most popular and main shopping malls if you are going on a shopping trip. We only had one problem while we arrived. we communicated the hotel to arrange our transportation to the hotel from the airport. But in the end we have to get a cab and go to the hotel by our self. Unfortunately it was a early morning we reached there and it was i bit of hassle to find a cab at that time. When we gave a call to the hotel there was no answer and after 02 or 03 time we call, they answered and informed us that the person who went to pick us up came back because they couldn't find us. This could be a misunderstanding and a miscommunication between the hotel and the transportation company too. But it was a bit disappointment to wait in the airport early in the morning not knowing what to do for more than 45 minutes. But the hotel was good. The service was also good. If you have to travel a lot, Take sky train. That really helped us to save a lot of money for transportation. A special thanks to Kristakorn and Jin from the front desk for making our trip a lot more easier.
This is the hotel which i can say is "the best hotel" in sukhumvit. 1. Good hospitality 2. They care us if any help needed 3. Rooms are super 4. Budgeted hotel witb breakfast 5. Jacuzzi on the roof top. 6. Sophisticated and well maintained restaurants around the hotels. 7. 2 Supermarkets opposite to the hotels 8. Bus stop on the main road 250mts away 9. BTS sky trains located just around 1km away from the hotel or bus stop 10. Too many malls locate for shopping And lot more.. Thanks Arun Minus point: No swimming pool
Value of money! Good locations, good services, good room. The setup of the lobby is small but the rest is perfect. You might want to call to check for car park too because it looks like no car park available
The hotel is modern and well furnished. The king bed was very nice. We found the location to be just ok, as the street to get to 20 is always slammed with traffic. Most taxi drivers wouldn't take us there. However, it is close to Terminal 21 and the train station there. We paid for the breakfast, and thought it was overpriced and not very fresh. There were always bugs flying around the buffet line. We found the staff helpful but didn't interact with them much. The best part about this place is the price. We wouldn't stay here again once we come back to Bangkok.
Enjoyed the stay. Close to restaurants, shops and train station. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Our stay would have been made more satisfying, if the hotel had taken care of issues such as 'broken bathroom door lock' and 'safe doesn't lock'. One suggestion. After confirming that the purpose of the visit is tourism, the hotel could email a list of 'things to do' and how the hotel could be helpful.
We found this hotel convenient, It is a pity that the hotel is fairly soundproof but the air conditionner was too noisy. The room is medium size. The dinner and the breakfast were soso. For the same price, you can find a better hotel in Bangkok.
One of the worst check in experiences i had in recent times. The check in staff were non-chalant, pay no attention to needs and show no inclination to listen to you. You just have to take the key and leave. There is no space in the lobby area to sit and relax on reaching the hotel after a long journey. The hotel is thoroughly compromised on space, service and appearance. Rooms are good and wifi is OK. The hotel has a nice roof top longue area to spend some relaxed evening. One good thing is the hotel is close to a lot of multi cuisine eating place.
I think the check in staff does not care possibly cause they are overworked or they do not bother. They don't care to explain anything nor prefer to provide a good service. I am happy with the restaurant and the breakfast and the staff.
nice room. appreciate the coffee maker and free bottled water that they provide. good free wifi in the room. toiletries provided and replenished daily. smooth check in, allowed us to leave our baggage after check out while we do last minute shopping. motorbike driver did not know where the hotel was and had to go in circles i think 4 times before we spottedthe hotel signage. overall satisfactory stay.
Got a deal through Trivago/Hotel.com which meant that the accommodation was great value for money. Bed was very hard for me. Stains on sofa and carpet needed cleaning. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was acceptable and good value.
I'd booked two King-size rooms for my family of four. I was allocated rooms 204 and 205 which were at the lowest level. First, both rooms had most of the things broken. Simple stuff like bathroom latches, door stoppers, night latches, drawer handles, HDMI connections to the TV, light switches. These are small things that a housekeeping should take care of, I did not even feel like pointing these out. Overall the rooms are clean and spacious, 204 had a smaller sit-out couch and a DVD player while 205 had a bigger couch near the window but no DVD player. The pressure in the bathrooms is quiet high, especially in the ablution faucet which can hurt sensitive parts during a wash (for some people in Bangkok this may be likeable, but not me for sure). The reception staff is courteous but in a robotic manner, couldn't feel much warmth and friendliness. The surroundings of the hotel are good, two Indian Restaurants, two Pizzerias, a Mexican restaurant and a few pubs at a walking distance. A family mart and 7-11 are also close by.
Sukhumvit soi 20 is an excellent location - an easy 10 minute walk to the BTS and Terminal 21. A relatively quiet road with not too much traffic but with lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance. Check in was very smooth, we got an early check in due to being Best Western reward members. The reception staff speak very good English and were very helpful. The room was spacious and clean and the air con worked well. We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and have noted that sometimes the bathrooms aren't configured very well - the showers in some rooms can spray all over the bathroom floor, soaking the floor towel. The included breakfast is extensive and has a very good choice with eggs made to order. One thing that has definitely improved is that now the door boy or security guard will hail a metered taxi on the street for you and make sure the driver will put his meter on. When we first stayed here, there seemed to be a bit of a taxi scam/no meter taxi thing going on. The situation is much improved! All in all, an excellent stay and we will stay there again with no hesitation.
Actually, we booked Park Plaza Hotel and we can stay there only one night over there and a staff over recommend us to this hotel and he said this hotel less room than Park Plaza Hotel. Anyway, when we came back from Pattaya and checking in at Best Western Hotel. We found that this hotel is very nice hotel. My wife and I like it. We would recommend you to stay this hotel.
Always stay in a dbl. room even if I'm single. The Superior Room with 1 King Bed is nice and comfortable with all facilities you need. The WiFi is free and fast. On the rooftop it's possible to use a small pool and relax. The restaurant at ground floor offer you some Thai and International dishes as well as tasty drinks and cocktails. All the staff are very friendly and service minded. It's also possible to buy street food close to the hotel and a small supermarket are open 24/7. Always a great pleasure to stay at this hotel. There is no other destination quite like Bangkok. While the heat, traffic and street noise can be an assault on the senses, there is plenty to smile about. The warm and friendly faces, food on every street corner and an energy that soon gets under your skin. The sprawling city of angels is packed with things to do from visiting historic attractions to shopping and nightlife. Sukumvit district is where the best nightlife in Bangkok can be found. The huge road has so many side streets or ‘sois' to discover. The trendiest nightclubs are around Soi 11 such as Bed Supperclub and Levels Club & Lounge. Thonglor and Ekkamia are where the cool urban crowd hang out and for those that prefer dancing girls can head to the seedy neighborhoods in Soi Cowboy and Nana.
The hotel room was very clean, and the location was good. Not noisy as well. Wherever you want to go in Bangkok, this hotel may be a smart choice. They had nice friendly bar near the antrance, and I enjoyed beer form the bar everyday. I and my husband actually accidentally booked this hotel for holiday trip. But soon, we found the hotel was more suitable for business people maybe.
First time to stay at this BW ,great value for money,in a good location where the soi not too noisy at night. Will definitely return.Did not use the dining facilities or bar due to large selection very close by.
This hotel was surprisingly nice with a upscale feel. The bathrooms and showers were very nice, the Air Conditioning worked really well. The rooftop pool is a bit small, the free breakfast was good. Unfortunately we had a sewage type smell near the windows of our room. Must have been near an alley. Hotel location on Sukhumvit is a huge plus.
We arrived late at night and had a few bumps at check in - room key didn't work, room only had one bed and not two - but once we got settled this Best Western did not disappoint. Great location by BTS and National Stadium. Quick walk to Siam Paragon at 10 minutes away. Breakfast had variety of hot and cold. We stayed during CNY, so the hotel was quite full. Breakfast was a little crazy in the morning with so many guests and it took a while to find a place to sit, but staff worked quickly to clear tables and kept buffet stocked with food. Hotel doesn't have a pool, but in the end this was ok because we were out touring BKK during the day. The location, breakfast included and great price sealed the deal for me. I loved that we didn't have to battle BKK traffic getting back to the hotel because we just took the BTS or walked. Big shower in room. Comfortable bed and fairly clean room. Quiet as we didn't hear the traffic or BTS down below. Great value and location.
Great location and service was excellent. Room was very nice, clean and bed was very comfortable. Very nice view from top of hotel where you could dine our just enjoy drinks by the pool. Staff was very kind and spoke good English, no communication issues.
stayed for 3 nights for leisure. location was good. 10mins walk from terminal 21 shopping centre. the rooms were big and nicely decorated. like the overall design of the rooms. seems like a new hotel as the taxi drivers do not know about this hotel. friendly staff at the reception and bellboy. greets you every time you walk in / out of the hotel. fast cleaning of the rooms, which makes us wonder if they really clean the room. so far, no complaints about this hotel yet. will stay here again if the price remains like this.
Good location for start of exploring tour and very good service make this hotel attractive venue in heart of Bangkok. Food and room comfort are additional advantages for the price. Different kind of travellers can enjoy the benefits of this hotel.
Perfect for business and holiday travel, good location , good food near by, 2 main shopping centers near by. Free tuk tuk drop off to train station but its a 10min walk at most to train station. There is a park near by for people to walk and relax NO GYM - YES THERE IS NO GYM TV is good bed is a bid hard but perfect shower is perfect and large bath room mini bar works well everything looks perfect for the stay. Good luck guys but cant go wrong here
This is a small hotel on quite street right next to everything. Staff are great and put themselves out for you.hotel is clean and tidy and very good value. Sky train, shops bars resteraunt etc very local love d it
We booked the hotel on line for two nights after viewing pictures and reviews. Check in at their small lobby was very quick, the staff spoke english and were very friendly. They arranged for our cab to the airport for an early morning departure and all went well.Staff always acknowledged us when we left and when we returned. The room was exactly how we viewed on line with a very comfortable king size bed, large, and fully equipped bathroom. The room can be rated a 5 star, with all of tis amenities, water each day, reliable and fast wi fi,quiet and a mini bar if one so desires. Breakfast was not the best in selection and quality especially their morning meat of bacon, sausages and ham. Overall, its a nice hotel, in a good location and provides good value...would certainly recommend it.
The room was spacious, shower was great and beds were everything we could have hoped for. The location was great near both the sky train and the subway. Service was friendly and we always got what we asked for. Would recommend.
I arranged for a late checkout for 16:00 and house maid Knocked on door at 13;45 . Then said you need to check out . I said I have a late checkout she replied you need to go to reception. I had DO NOT DISTURB lit up on door. So I then got ready and went to reception where they charged me 500BHT for the extra time. Which I answered I arranged this last night and it was agreed that I could check out at 16:00 > but they took the 500BHT . I would not recommend this Hotel if you want a late checkout. I normally use this Hotel 3 to 4 times a year but when I comes to late check out I am very disappointed. I will be taking my business else where , my wife phoned them as she is Thai and they were extremely rude to her and her family. I am not after compensation just to clarify after several stays in this hotel and I recommended this hotel to friends which have stayed . But in future management need to control there staff an notify them on shift changes which are late check out rooms..
Our first impression was bad.. 3 Farang standing infront of the counter, my Asian wife in the background, and the girl behind the counter starts talking trhough us to my wife who had no knowledge of the bookingarangements... "Give me you Creditcard for deposite" was a phrase that was said a couple of times to me, even though i paid in advance... Our room had no towels, no toilettpaper, loose racks and toiletpaperholder, The TV reception was so bad, static noise overtook the picture. Breakfast was good though... Not brilliant, but certainly not bad either. In my parents room the LED readinglights did not work and one of the bathroom lights was broken. For the price we paid (we had simulair rooms, but completly different prices, our rrom was 450 SEK, my parents 650SEK) this low level of service and shabbynes is not acceptable. We will not be coming back here.... Not a good
Good: Friendly and helpful staffs, clean and spacious room, well-maintained amenities, international breakfast, walking distance to the MRT/BTS Sukhumvit Stations... what else I can say more about such a decent stay in Bangkok? Thanks for offering such a top notch service with an absolutely reasonable hotel rates... Areas to be improved: The lighting in the room can be better, the complimentary tuk-tuk service from the hotel to Asoke station... I know you can do better! Please keep up the good work and I will definitely come back during my next visit!
The location of the hotel was good as it wasn't that far to the nearest BTS station (8-10 minutes) leisurely walk. The room was just like the pictures, decent size, massive bed as they were 2 double bed joined into 1 king bed. The wifi was fast enough for browsing, at least faster than the 4G cellular service I was using. The front liners were helpful in assisting your needs whether it was direction or trying to rectify faults in the hotel. On the other hand, the housekeeping staffs weren't the best as they gave us a dirty room which was rectified quickly by the FO team with another clean room. They did not refreshed our towels on the 2nd day and drank something from the minibar and left their takeaway in our fridge. These were all quickly rectified with the front office team. Security guard was great willing to get us metered taxi to anywhere in Bangkok. If you're a bit adventurous, there were plenty of street food or local food that Thai people would eat at a decent price just outside the hotel. Have a really spicy grapow or pork tom yum in the morning with rice for 40-50 baht!
This accommodation exceeded our expectations. It offers great value for money in a location that's reasonably close to restaurants and a train station. The staff were very helpful and would gladly assist with any queries. We would stay here again when visiting Bangkok.
My wife and I have been here for about 3 days and the front desk has been mostly helpful but on certain basic services they charge you money. My wife wanted ice for a can of ginger ale she bought from the market across the street and the bar refused to give her a glass of ice even when i offered to pay they said I had to buy a whole bucket. Very weird and bad service. When we wanted ice in the upstairs bar they charged us 65 baht and then the next day when we wanted ice again they wanted to charge us 70 baht. The food upstairs is overpriced but thats the same with a lot of hotels, though we have stayed in a hotel in koh samui which had very reasonable food prices. The rooms here are pretty basic and the beds suck, you can feel the springs! All in all I would not stay here again!
one of decent "on budget" hotel during my south east asia trip last few weeks. Hotel is located in a big alley 10 mins walking to Asok (BTS) train station. They also have free tuktuk service if you feel too lazy to walk to the station, but its only available after 11am. There's also some fancy Italian restaurant and German restaurant beside the hotel. and there's also seven eleven and family mart where you can buy light breakfast if you're hungry. Room are spacious and really nice. we had pleasant time here.
Place is good enough for single or young couple for a no frills short stay. Don't expect too much from the pool which was about the size of 6 bath tubs combine. Just not correct to call a pool. The location is not really that near to the BTS Asoke. You still need to do some amount of walking. But if you happen to chance upon promotion on this hotel then it's a good enough deal. Apart from BTS Asoke the terminal 21 n exchange tower is close by as well as MRT station Sukhumvit which you can take 1 stop to the Makkasan station on the airport rail link line.
I was on a transit via Bangkok and I booked this hotel. I read good review and thus decided to try this hotel out. The hotel is hidden in the middle of Soi 20 in Sukhumvit and it's not easy to find; especially if it's late at night. Upon getting to the hotel, I was greeted by a friendly stuff who administrated my check in quite speedily. The lobby leading to our room was nice and I was pleasantly surprised by the setup of the room. Although the building looks small but the room was very spacious. Besides having a queen size bed, you can find a mini sofa in the room. The room was cosy. There was a flat screen Tv mounted right Infront of the sofa and a build in wall cabinet. The toilet was impressive. It was very spacious. I love the water temperature and the pressure. I had a good time showering with all the amenities provided. Bed sheet & towel was clean. However, I had to pay 500B for a taxi to the airport. This is very expensive. Nevertheless, I will go back to this hotel if I have a chance .
Good location. Good small, neat hotel. The jacuzzi isnt a jacuzzi its a small pool. The bathroom needs, more/better lighting. Other than that its a nice little hotel well located. The bed is super comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious enough.
My husband and I booked a nights stay at this hotel. The hotel is located in the Sukhumvit area, which has great connectivity, nightlife, food and shopping. As for the hotel, it has a small lobby, but really spacious rooms. We found the bed to be really wide. The rooms were clean and really nice. I look forward to coming back to this hotel in the future.
Stayed there for 2 nights, rooms were extremely clean and tidy. The service staffs were all very helpful and polite, thou they spoke little English, it was still easy to communicate. There is a tiny outdoor jacuzzi pool up on the 9th floor, but you wouldn't considerusing it as it is situated right in front of their restaurant where everyone can see you. Also, the restaurant provides daily breakfast buffet. The buffet spread wasn't fantastic. Just the same old stuff everyday. Mainly asian food such as congee. All in all, it was a great stay...worth considering.
I booked a 1 night stay here for myself and my partner when we were stopping over before a flight to Phuket, the room cost £29 and was great. Stylish rooms, comfy bed, great location, fantastic bathroom and shower we would defiantly stay here again.
Got a very good price at this hotel and stayed for 2 nights in a corner room which was quite spacious and modern, with very comfortable bed. There is no pool (just a small rooftop jacuzzi style thing), nor is there a gym, but this place is perfect for brief stays in Bangkok. Centrally located with easy access to the BTS and the malls and plenty of eateries nearby.
My Girl and I spent two nights in this beautiful hotel. The rooms were excellent and we lvoed the rooms and the space and decor The bed quality was lovely and size of the bed was wonderful. The location is unbeatable as it is very central location and many highlights are walking distance only. Many restaurants and getting a taxi is so fast or walking distance to get the train. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed the stay in this lovely hotel.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus @ 20 Sukhumvit earlier this month. We were stopping over for a night in Bangkok and decided to stay here. I have listed down some of the things I noticed about the place: 1. We arrived way before check in time. And the hotel staff said that the room won't be available until 1 PM. We decided to wait around in the lobby and noticed that many, many people had checked out. I assume that it would be ok for the staff to rush about and arrange for only 1 room for us to sleep in. They did do that but they were really slow to it all, and we still ended up waiting for 3 hours or so. I appreciate that they let us check in early for no cost, but the leisurely pace did annoy me. 2. The room was really spacious and well decorated. The bed was really 3. The hotel provided us with free ride to the BTS station close by. The location of the hotel is quite perfect and it is an hours drive from Grand Palace and there is terrific 4. WiFi speed wasn't incredible but it wasn't the best. 5. We left the hotel really early in the morning to catch a flight, and the hotel was kind enough to organize vegetarian breakfast to go for us at 5 AM. I truly appreciate it. The breakfast too was delicious. 6. The shower was an open shower, i.e. there was no door to stop the water from coming on to the bathroom floor. This caused a bit of a problem, so probably the management may want to have a look into this matter for every room. 7. The shower napkins were worn out. I hope the hotel management changes that real soon. All in all, this is a good 4* hotel. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to people looking for a place to sleep at in Sukhumvit area.
Modern hotel, great location and proximity to some shops, local bars (although no noise was there at night). Complimentary tuk tuk ride to nearby Asoke BTS station which was very helpful and welcomed (note this is also walkable) but depending on what activities you have planned in Bangkok you might welcome the ride to save your legs. Staff at the hotel were always very pleasant, attentive and helpful.
This is a very good budget hotel to stay in the main area of the Bangkok. Though it is in the main area again it provides peaceful environment. I liked the service, hospitality and support of the reception and staff. Will look forward to stay at the same place again.
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in the beginning of November and we enjoyed our stay. Great bang for your buck. It is a modern hotel which we found to be pretty clean. It's a quick 10 minute walk away from the Terminal 21 shopping center. Staff was very friendly as well and greeted us every time we came in and out of the hotel. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Sukhumvit area.
The staff went out of its way to help, especially with checking in and out, and arranging transportation to the airport. They knew the area and the train system. There was always at least one person there to help. The house keeping staff was accommodating as well.
Everything looked good at first. Then I noticed the carpet is full of stains. Then I noticed the mirror wasn't completely clean. These things make me wonder... Is it really clean? The robes and slippers are a nice touch. The choices of English language TV is good if tha's important to you. There is a bit of false advertising. I saw the pictures of what looks like a pool. When I asked about the pool as I was checking in, they cheerily told me that there is no pool only a hot tub. Who needs a hot tub when it's 100 deg F out? There are better hotels for the price (even with 50% discount). See my other reviews. As a female traveling alone, walking down the street to the hotel after dinner did not feel super comfortable.
After staying at Dusit Thani for five nights during a conference, moved to Best Western at soi 20 . good rooms ,Central location and proximity to Indian restaurants. Had a comfortable stay. you can walk to the metro terminal 20 ,which also has a large shopping mall. The staff were very courteous. Limitation of the hotel is that it has a very small lobby and limited options for in-house food.
Location along Sukhumvit good enough and plenty of restaurant/bars in easy walking distance. Hotel offers a complimentary tuk tuk to the Asoke BTS station (Sky Train) a few minutes ride away ~ and from there of course, Sukhumvit is your oyster. The room was good, everything worked, except the air con was quirky (room #401) and the room got a bit close and sticky at times. Plenty of places to stay in the area. This place wasn't remarkable in any way, it did the job. I would stay again but being we like variety, would probably try a different venue.
In general the stay was more than OK. The staff is extremely helpful, kind and discrete. Only downside is that I was charged a fine for dirty sheets of 1000 baht. Not only was the charge questionable, as I stayed for 10 days more later on, I would have exppected little bit more flexibility on this issue.
Location is not bad as it is within 200 metres inside Soi 20 from main Sukhumvti Road, and within walking distance from Asoke BTS station. Hotel provides a complimentary Tuk-tuk service to ferry guests to Asoke BTS station. There is a 24 hour ‘Family Mart' opposite the hotel for those who wish to stock up on drinks and snacks. The black / grey colour theme runs through the entire hotel, from the external façade to the toilet tiles. It is a thin and long black building with a distinct curved front. Lobby is small but efficient. Breakfast is served at the rooftop but lift only stops at the floor below – need to walk up a level via the staircase. The roof-top pool is too small to actually swim in but good enough to dip in. Room has carpet flooring and is tastefully furnished. The couch is a nice touch. The 7 feet wide bed is a real treat. Water pressure is just sufficient, but not strong. Most importantly, the air-con is very strong and cold – a compliment actually, in the warm & humid Bangkok weather. For short stays, I'll recommend this hotel. It is quiet and there are several Western restaurants nearby.
After 6 weeks of budget accommodation in Thailand I wanted to splurge on a fancy big city hotel the night before my flight back to the States (in Thailand $65 is a splurge). This Best Western certainly presents itself as a five star hotel - huge lobby beside a swanky cocktail lounge with a live piano player, smiling well-dressed women at the front desk, a friendly bellhop greets you at the door and escorts you to your room, classical music plays in the hallways, 24 hour room service, etc. However, the room itself was nothing special - more like a decent budget motel in the U.S.. It was fine, and everything was clean, but you can easily find a better room for 1/3rd of the price. This place definitely caters to westerners just off the plane (for example, they have a sign hyping a "discounted" 1 hour spa treatment for over 4,000 baht!) And the rooms suffer from some tech related annoyances that are inexcusable for a supposed 5 star hotel. No device charging stations, no accessible outlets near the beds, and worst of all an obnoxious wifi system that requires me to repeatedly re-enter a needlessly complex username and password every time I pick up my iPad. C'mon folks, I stayed in rural huts up north for $18 per night that managed to keep me connected. On the plus side, I did have easily the best shower I've had in Thailand - nice and hot with amazing water pressure. Certainly not an awful place, just don't expect The Ritz.
It was our first time in Thailand and we chose to stay at this location due to the area. Big tourist area with tons of restaurants and bars (we did our research all within Tripadvisor). You feel safe in that area and just walking distance away from the mall too. The hotel is clean, super friendly staff and will always help you with taxis and whatever you need. It also comes with buffet breakfast which is great. The only downside is that the pool is very small and you feel self conscious to even swim in the pool because everyone can see you. It's just as big as two jacuzzis put together. We went during February and we wanted to get a tan and swim but turns out we didn't at all. I recommend to stay here if you're on a budget! We stayed there for 6 nights and paid $641USD. Besides the pool situation, I recommend to stay here. We were kind of iffy because it's Best Western since we live in the states and that's considered a motel but in Thailand; it's completely different! Thumbs up!
Good location, about 15 mins walk from 2 Metro stations (Asok & Phrom Phong). Nice people, the concierge was great in making arrangements and giving helpful suggestions. Nice modern furnishings, HUGE bed. Good wifi.
Excellent hotel in a great location. The staff are wonderful and the rooms are spotless and really comfy with huge beds and fast internet!! We stayed here at the end of the holiday and we were looking for somewhere close to amenities and easy to get to. The staff were so helpful and made our trip so pleasant. We would definitely recommend it!
Excellent standard Best Western quality. Very comfortable bed, large bright bathroom, all amenities, large new TV with countless international channels, excellent quiet air conditioner. "Lobby" is non-existent, but that's no problem. Two free computers doing Internet fast. Just slightly far to walk if you have a lot of luggage, but really only 10 minutes from Sukhumvit MTS station and Asok BTS station. And the area is one of the "hearts" of Sukhumvit, with anything you want in the way of shopping (low and high end) and entertainment (low and high end).
