Modern comfortable accommodations with excellent staff. Breakfast fresh and lovely. New bar intimate and friendly. I would recommend visit. Airline lost our luggage and hotel helped with swift recovery. Young lady at front desk was helpful with dinner recommendations and CEO stopped to chat. Young woman at breakfast service was all smiles and helpful without English. We had fun.

This is a very good hotel in a great position. Very central but a quiet street. The room was quite small but very comfortable with a nice view over the local Bordeaux roof tops. I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were professional and helpful .

Modern, comfortable, well located, and above all amazing staff. Élodie in particular at the front desk was caring and friendly. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the breakfast spread varied and delicious. Definitely a great choice if you're looking for a comfortable night.

We spent two nights at the Best Western. Our room was very tired looking and had no view apart from the hotel garages and some flats above them on the back street. The bed was comfortable and we slept well considering we were holidaying in a heatwave. The staff we met were helpful and friendly. The hotel had two secure garages which was good. We were very disappointed with Aurillac there was very little to do or to see and it was run down but I have to say renovations were in progress. We walked up to the Volcano Museum from the hotel which we found interesting. We were advised by a member of staff where to eat in Aurillac which we did and the restaurant and food was very good.

Needed a stopover to collect eldest. Friendly warm staff, good location. Room well appointed and ideal. Would recommend without reservation. Did not eat on site as had a recommendation for breakfast but as a hotel in a provincial French town a good choice.

The hotel is very central close to all amenities, Agnes welcomed us and arranged for us to get a space in the garage for 10€ a night although I had not reserved it! Our room on the third floor (lift available) was small but comfortable and clean with a good shower and separate toilet with view out on the “Palais de justice', tea/coffee making facilities, and a small fridge which unfortunately wasn't working. Agnes took our bottles of water and put them in the hotel cool room for us. The hotel has no restaurant but provide a very nice breakfast buffet at 12 € with lots of local specialities. The “fouasse” was particularly tasty! There is a bar in the hotel but we didn't use it and saw no one in it! There are also a couple of lounges with books on the local area.... a rail In the shower room would have been useful to dry the towels,... and better quality toilet paper would have been nice for such a lovely hotel!

We recently spent a night in Grand Hotel de Bordeaux and very much liked our stay. Staff, both at reception and during breakfast, were very nice and helpful. Our room was rather spacious and well appointed. The lobby, bar and the breakfast room all looked very bright and elegant. Breakfast itself was nice, offering quite a range of warm and cold dishes. They do not have a restaurant, but there are a lot of places just round the corner. The hotel is perfectly located right in the center of Aurillac; you can leave your car either in the hotel garage or the public parking just across the street.

I never intended being in Aurillac, I was put on the wrong bus in Clermont Ferrand so was forced into finding somewhere to spend the night and what a lovely place to do just that. The staff were most kind, the room was very nice, made even better by having a bath tub to have a long relaxing soak after a long hot day travelling all the way from Stansted, UK. There is a lovely dining room where I had a most satisfying breakfast and another bonus was that the train station was only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I would say this is a great hotel to stay and perhaps I may just go there again, deliberately next time.

Well located at the center of the city of Aurillac with a parking facilities. Clean, with nice comfortable rooms and beds. The aspect to be highlighted was the quality of reception, assistance, advice which I got from the lady at the front desk and her colleagues. This sort of attention can make a change in the stay.

Another of our last minute bookings. Great position, friendly attentive staff. Took advantage of the secure parking which cost 10 euro (Sept 2016) There is street parking but make sure that you read the conditions. The bedroom which overlooked the terrace was quiet and comfortable. The bed and bedding were lovely. The breakfast which we took in the breakfast room, was pretty good but the coffee was awful. It would be nicer if Best Western invested in a single cup of coffee machine rather than keeping coffee warm on a hot plate. Such a shame that something so simple spoiled the meal. The brasserie on the opposite corner was pricey but a lovely meal. Would eat there again for sure.

Lovely hotel, very clean nice rooms and friendly staff. Secure parking offered too. It was a pity that the town felt a little unsafe, with a lot of people living on the street with their dogs and making a lot of noise. The park in the centre was locked up at night and surrounded by large metal barriers - not a good sign.

Well situated in downtown Aurillac. Nice refurbished common areas. Warm welcome and friendly and helpful staff. Just across the street, a convenient place to eat out late at night (lively brasserie with pricey but outstanding quality local steak and charcuterie specialties from Cantal).

Had a very last minute booking as our original choice of hotel was dire. What a great place this was to stay - friendly, attentive staff and an ideal location just off the Square. Clean, comfy room, big tv, huge bed...would have given 5* except the parking is an issue (not the hotel's fault). Would definitely recommend.

We had the Terrace Apartment. It was spacious enough for 3 people. Good kitchen facilities although instructions for working the hob would have been helpful. It has a TV in the sitting room and 1 in the bedroom but be careful using the remote as it activates both TVs, a problem if someone is sleeping in the bedroom. The single bedroom is ideal for a child or young person. It has its own door out on to the terrace but shares an inner door with the bathroom which means you have to check there is no one in the bathroom before walking through to access the lounge. There is another set of patio doors to access the terrace from the lounge. When we stayed it felt like the apartment hadn't been used for a while and it had a slight ant problem, which was partially rectified when we reported it. I am a light sleeper and did experience some noise from another room but all in all this apartment was good value for money and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Excellent location.

Stayed at the hotel last weekend. I was happy to hear that they had a room available when I walked in there to ask if there were rooms available for the night. The hotel is situated in an old building which leads to use of existing space and for example uneven floors. As an example; the elevator on the 4th floor "stops" 20 cm higher than the floor itself. The bathroom and the toilet (I stayed in room 402) are in the same room but in two different corners of the room. There was some noise in other rooms when I went to sleep but I was so tired that I did not really bother. The bed was OK but the double bed had a split at 2/3 of the bed width. I did not like that the pillows could move up and leave you without a pillow in the night. There was a free bottle of water and a coffee maker with enough coffee sticks for a couple available. I did not hear the elevator and that's good. Like that. You need to pay extra for the breakfast and for parking in their own garage. The garage has room for 6 cars. I found navigating out of the garage a little challenge.

Don't let the plain exterior of the hotel put you off, it's fine once through the door! Atmosphere is calm and relaxed with period decor, but if you are looking for a trendy boutique hotel this is not for you! Location is excellent right in the centre of town. Parking outside to unload is difficult, but not impossible. There is a secure on site garage (€10/night) which removes any parking hassle and is useful if you are en-route and want to leave things in the car. The room I had was of a good size with whirlpool bath, hospitality tray, TV and CD player so I was very satisfied. Just like the rest of the hotel, it was spotlessly clean; top marks to the housekeeping staff. All of the front of house staff were welcoming, attentive and courteous. There is no restaurant, but there are plenty within easy walking distance (one just across the street) so this is not a problem. Breakfast was very good, plenty to choose from and even a limited hot selection (scrambled egg, bacon and mini-sausage). Free WiFi of adequate speed. If you need to be in Aurillac, this hotel is certainly worth considering.

Friendly staff and helpfull. Parking very expensive @ 10€ /night! Could include breakfast for the price. Rooms are good but bathrooms very small. I am very tall and there is not a lot of space at the toilets. Over all a good experience

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel a lot. The room was nice, the bathroom clean and functional, the breakfast very good and the reception staff very helpful and friendly. Above all, the price we paid was more than ok compared to other hotels with equal equipment and level of service. The five points rating is therefore especially a reward for the good value for money.

We had 2 nights here and desperately needed a couple of pairs of trousers and a jumper laundered. No facilities open, and because of May day holiday (and people taking extra days as holidays), even the hotel's laundry facilities were unavailable. Jacky organised for our things to be laundered, and he himself ironed them on the Public Holiday. First class job, too! Hotel has secure lock-up garage located in a side street, and good restaurants are within 5 minutes' walking distance. We booked a junior suite, and the layout of the room was awkward, with the desk in a position that walking past to get to the other side of the room meant the chair had to be moved.

This hôtel is well situated if you wish to stay in Aurillac, which is a good enough base for the Southern Massif Central. The interior is better than the first impression of the exterior, and the price seemed fair. On arrival there was no porter handy for our multiple heavy cases. The pleasant young lady said she could help, but at about 100 lbs, I didn't really feel I could accept. There was a luggage trolley, but once loaded it would not fit in the lift - so not a great deal of use. The rooms were acceptable. The "Just OK" part was the rest of the staff; no acknowledgement when walking past the desk, and a generally indifferent air. Would I go back? I really don't know, it's a maybe. William.
