Sure Hotel by Best Western Annecy

We moved in the apartment of this hotel as a last minute change because of some problem with the previous accommodation. It turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The room is very spacious with a good sized living room and two bedrooms. There is a kitchen with good cooking facilities as well (not Airbnb grade but good enough). The bathroom is spacious and clean. Location is quite good (just off a major road/highway), and there's ample parking. The hotel itself looks a bit old but the apartment was clean. We made a simple breakfast in the apartment so did not have their breakfast.

A bit of a strange access to this hotel through a housing estate, but we got there. Easy parking and a pretty nice hotel all in all. It had the most expensive breakfasts so resisted until the last day of our stay. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Room was clean and worked well except the a/c was broken meaning it was a bit uncomfortable at night until it cooled down with with window open. Easy to get to downtown, overall a nice experience

I ended up going with this hotel when the other Best Western property that I booked left the brand a few weeks prior to my stay. We weren't confident that the experience over there would be enjoyable. So, as a backup hotel, this one served the purpose. We appreciated that parking was included. The hotel is convenient to the highway and close enough to the major sightseeing attractions if you have a car. The staff were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the room's a/c did not work and that made for unpleasant sleeping conditions.

We stayed here during the annual animation festival that brings in thousands of visitors. While the rooms are European small, it was comfortable and clean. The staff were energetic and very helpful. While its location is less than ideal, nestled in a residential neighborhood, a 40 min walk downhill to the city center was easy. An Uber back was $20. Electric bikes also available. My one suggestion would be a shuttle perhaps once or twice a day to the city center given its location. Great breakfasts with a full buffet and dinner is served daily except Sundays. Never thought I'd stay at a Best Western in Europe but it exceeded expectations.

We stayed here for a little while to explore Annecy and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very small for a family, but the staff were extremely friendly and spoke great English. The hotel is a very long walk to the beautiful town of Annecy, but we didn't mind this so much, especially after eating the nice continental breakfast. It's a shame the hotel did not serve an evening meal as finding somewhere close by was quite problematic. Tbh next time we visit Annecy we'll likely find somewhere a bit closer to town.
