room needed to have a deep cleaning we found all kind of things on the carpet and the shower needed to be cleaned a lot better it had mold in the corners and along the bottom of the shower The pool area was clean breakfast was included food was ok for hotel food
The pillows were fluffy and the room was clean. The staff was attentive. My grandson loved the swimming pool. The free breakfast was really good. There was a decent variety of what was for breakfast. Liked the Texas shaped waffles. The hotel was not too far from Sea World.
The worst hotels I've experienced in over 20 years of traveling. Pros: It's conveniently located. Kennedy, front desk staff, was super nice and welcoming Cons: Literally everything else! We had no hot water and when reported, we were told “Since the renovations you need to do tricks for hot water, but it eventually works”. I requested a room that doesn't require “tricks” to shower. I was told “I can't guarantee that”. Are you serious? You can't guarantee hot water? I requested to check out early and not be charged for the next night. She informed me that “The manager is the only one that could authorize a refund after 12:00 and she left to run a personal errand”. I was livid that I had to delay my vacation even more to wait although I KNEW she could issue the refund. After I called the corporate office, she “found a way” to cancel the next night without me being charged. This place was definitely a 1.5 star stay!
Very friendly and good staff place is very good place to stay for the night . Place is nice and clean.
Stayed here for 3 nights with my wife and 4 kids. Our room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, garbage everywhere, floors hadn't been vacuumed, you just did not feel clean in it. Walking down the hallway there were room numbers falling off the walls. It felt like staff did not care, which makes me question if management cares.
We were in a lodging bind. When I called SureStay Hotel, Mr. Patel answered the phone and was more than willing and accommodating to us. The gig Go light of our stay was Mr. Patel. The only odd thing is the amount of disabled vehicles in the parking lot.
I truly enjoy sure stay The staff is very friendly we had to put a shoe in front of closet to gold shut, no ironing board iron did not work properly. There was a muggy smell almost turned on a candle.
Great price, but understaffed and needs maintenance. Good points - good breakfast, free (but slow) WIFI, ice machine worked, no bugs, plenty of parking, close to Sea World, and helpful staff (but obviously understaffed). Bad points - AC unit drained onto carpet, light bulbs missing from lamps, old urine stain on one of the sheets, and the pool needed to be cleaned. If you are on a tight budget and willing to lower your expectations, this hotel is ok.
We got sick staying here. Felt this place is cursed. Carpet smelled like piss. It was wet and smelled bad. AC unit was old and got breathing Air in the room got is sick. We had to take medication. I would not not recommend this hotel. This hotel looks nice from outside. Inside needs a remodeling. Health dep't needs to give citation for health concerns.
The hotel smelt awful! Front desk lady was unprofessional and SureStay Plus does not care about their guests safety or privacy. The front desk lady said my room number and gave me directions very loudly while other guests were in the lobby. I opted for late check out at noon the following day, but despite my request and the door hanger outside, I was still woken up at 10:30am by house keeping. They knocked twice, I barely made it to my door by the time they opened it after the second knock. Bathtub was filthy by the way. Unprofessional staff. Travelers save your money!! Buy a coffee and keep driving.
I stayed 3 nights with my kids. It was a very clean budget friendly hotel. Raymond, the night clerk, made for a quick and easy registration. Leslie was also friendly and very helpful. This was a nice basic hotel. I would definitely stay again! It's in a great location to restaurants, Sea World/Aquatica, and shopping. They also had 24 hr coffee in the lobby, which was a plus! Save your money and still have a good night's sleep with cold AC, decent breakfast, and a safe stay!
As soon as you walk in you are hit with a dirty moist moldy sensation and extremely dirty floors. Breakfast wasn't good but it is free and the tables were dirty so you just have to choose the least dirty table. Your room may feel moist as well so much so that when you have the fan on it feels even more wet. And be careful in your restroom because if it was like ours then your tiles in your restroom will be lifting. Never had any issues with the staff they were really kind. Overall I don't recommend this place but if you are looking for something affordable then this place is definitely a place to sleep.
Classic example of don't judge hotel by its lobby. Past the lobby it was dated, smelled terrible, too many broken things to count, uncomfortable beds, terrible linens, rooms not clean, stains everywhere
I don't believe that the room had been vacuumed, I picked up quite a bit of loose things from the floor when I got there. Staff was friendly and courteous. Manager did tell me she was working with a new crew and I know that can be frustrating. Breakfast was ok, but not stocked very well each morning. Coffee bar not tended to very well either. For what I paid, it was ok, but will definitely pay a bit more next trip and stay elsewhere. Rooms do not have USB ports so make sure you have your plugin.
Lacking bathroom amenities and tile popping. Blood and semen residue on bed sheet and comforter. Dusty and carpet needs vacuuming. I was charged additional $10 after checked with no explanation. Breakfast was great typical of most BW. Building not easily seen from the freeway or service road with roof sign having burn out lights and trees blocking the building when driving. Friendly staff.
Addie and staff we're extremely great and friendly, including the night crew and housekeeping. Breakfast was on time and coffee was always hot. It was four of us and we enjoyed it. The jacuzzi was hot and the indoor pool was an added bonus
Area isn't the best and the hotel is adequate for the area. It's alright if you're working but not somewhere I'd bring the kids. From what I was told is to next time find something in north sa or the river walk.
Love the manager Chris is very true and integrity follows his nature/ he is honest man speaks and spiritually positive all the time / people love him because he cares and goes out of his way to help people/ impossible to replace a man of such character !!!! Man of passion truth integrity out of the norm and everywhere he goes his positive attitude gravitates towards people! Everyone loves him thank you Chris Bonewald never stop being you
Over all goods experience. Breakfast was Okay, great location, and the staff was very friendly. wasn't as clean as i hoped it would be.and like every thing else now days..., It seemed as if they were under staffed a bit.
Did not honor my request (in advance) for adjoining rooms even though they clearly had at least one available. Not real easy to get to the property. Overpriced in comparison to other Best Western in the area.
Check in was fine. Room had empty Redbull can by bed. Remote for tv didn't work. Noisey, could hear other guests next door, upstairs and outside traffic noises. The pool was dirty, and the spa had grimey film on the edges. It was in process of being updated, so mess along the halls and in the breakfast room. Breakfast choices were ok. Front desk personnel very friendly. Great location near SeaWorld. Value on a budget.
If you like unclean/smelly rooms, noisy yelling neighbors, stomping kids feet above your room and somewhat digestible free breakfast then this place is perfect for you! Last 2 nights had the pleasure of listening to stomping feet (kids/adults) from 11pm-12:30am then the next night a couples argument at 1am. What fun! And the cigarette mold smell will definitely give you the headache of your dreams. And that breakfast? Well it's so yummy even my dog (if I had one) would pass it off under the table too. But in all seriousness, it's really my fault rushing to plan a last minute spring break vacation and not researching thoroughly. And no this hotel isn't across the street or really close by to SeaWorld that I thought it was due to the name. It's about 10-15min drive.
we enjoyed the stay at the hotel, nice breakfast spread with lot of variety. Hotel is centrally located to - riverwalk, sea world, lot of restaurants around and very close to "The Natural Bridge Caverns"
Good location for SeaWorld but the hotel is in a poor state of repair. There were several broken tiles on the bathroom floor that caused a potential hazard and risk to cutting feet. The baseboards were broken in the bathroom. There were random black curly hairs in the bathroom when we first got to the room. The carpet had fluff and bits of trash on the floor. The public areas are not clean and again in a poor state of repair. THere is a reasonable choice of breakfast items but no one replenished the breakfast when it was out and the food looked like it had been sitting around for some time. The pool and hottub are nice and in better condition than most of the hotel.
If your looking for a kid friendly place to sleep, look no further. This place is amazing we love staying there every time we stay in San Antonio and it's cheap. Good breakfast and the people there are so nice.
The hotel was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good. All of the front staff and maid service were very professional, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. The price was very reasonable.
My family, and I want to say a big thank you to Chris one of their staff for an excellent customer service that he provide to us. The SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western are a place to stay, the service were excellent, the rooms are big, very clean, and most of all it was not expensive.
The staff is caring and helpful; convenient location to restaurants, interstate, and Walmart. Clean decent sized room with refrigerator and microwave. Clean Indoor pool & hot tub; good Best Western breakfast. Not fancy but clean, convenient, and reasonably priced and I would stay again when returning to San Antonio area.
Chris Bonewald made our stay absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond and exceeded our expectation. He made you feel at home every time you saw him. Very polite, welcoming, just over all a great guy and perfect for his duty. He is what customer service should represent. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything Chris Bonewald! You were awesome!
Customer service was terrible. I voiced three concerns. A broken lock, roach infestation, and the TV did not work properly. It took many attempts for management to even address my concerns and they made clear that it was not a priority.
Our family enjoys spending time in San Antonio. This was the first time we have staid at a Sure Stay Hotel. We were greeted by a kind and happy receptionist that took the time to answer all of our questions about the area and the hotel itself. The family room, 3 queen beds was a little cramped but the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the indoor pool was great. We will be coming back.
This hotel needs a complete makeover and new cleaning staff. I hate giving a bad review, but it really was sub par. The front desk employee was friendly and helpful. I didn't take photos, but you can look at the photos that others have posted.
We appreciated the friendliness of the staff, and their willingness to work with us. The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed fresh coffee from downstairs anytime we wanted it. Generally, a good experience.
We LOVED this surestay! Front-desk was so nice! Stores and highway were convenient. The only issue we had was not getting house keeping during our 4 night stay. Trash piled up and dirty linen stayed in room. Other than that we loved our stay!
Always friendly and helpful staff. This is my family's choice stay. It's a welcoming atmosphere and is kid friendly. The pool and hot tub are always a plus always clean. And breakfast has a very good selection.
I found blood on the off white sheet on the bed(took a picture). The hotel neglected to mention that the hot breakfast is only on weekends, breakfast bag during week. Pool description: indoor pool HEATED. That appears to me as a heated indoor pool, incorrect. Walls are paper thin, found out waking up to super loud TV at 9am from from next to ours. Management was unsuccessful with getting them to lower volume. Smell in the room was not pleasant. I've stayed in many hotels but this being a 3 Diamond, I cannot see it.
The room was dirty. A water bottle had been left behind. The shower had a dead fly and mold in it. The mattress on the sofa bed was horribly stained! I had to walk down and get linens for it myself. They only had one pillow to give me for my two children that would be sleeping on this sofa bed. I was given a folded up sheet and told to use that. Unacceptable when the room was reserved for four people. It is close to Sea World and had waffles for breakfast.
The hotel needs to complete a deep clean followed by daily cleaning of entire facility; inside as well as outside. An overall update would also be helpful as it is very dated. It is a very convenient location.
Overall, we were very disappointed in this hotel. Upon entering, we noticed smudge marks on the tables. No biggie, I disinfected all surface areas with Clorox wipes. In the R.R. there was a used toilet paper, white spots all along the mirror and floors. I think it was toothpaste or soap. Then I see a brown mark by the toilet thinking it was a smashed bug...NOPE IT WAS POOP! The R.R. floors don't look like they have been moped, there was crud behind the door stopper, hair in the tub, the shower curtain had mold stains and orange at the bottom like they don't wash them. The pull out sofa was beyond dusty. My son who suffers from allergies had been sneezing the entire night. The pool seemed cloudy. The jacuzzi had bubbles, I thought it was going to be at least semi pleasant, nope. There was some brown funk that sat at the top of the bubbles, then noticed it on the walls as well. We quickly went back to the room. I have all the pics as proof! It was beyond unacceptable! If you need to verify go check out room 309, take a wipe and run it across the top edge of the RR. counter and you will see the dirty grime. We will not stay in a Best Western Again!
Breakfast was terrible just go to ihop always check the bed sheets they were nasty we didn't get a chance to use the pool due to one family hogging it because it wasn't a very big pool furniture in the room was old and need to be replaced!
Don't charge for breakfast if you are not going to serve it. Didn't feel save when we drove up to check in and there was people outside by front doors sitting with their coolers drinking beer and listening to music.
Had to complain twice to get a clean room. Was moved to 4th floor and it was cleaned, but out of the four nights our rooms were cleaned once. Never had a problem out of all the times we've stayed there but this time was horrible.
When we got to the room, there was hair in the tub and a used soap bar in the shower. The cups by the coffee pot were stained with coffee. We only had three towels and one toilet paper roll for a two night stay for four people. Trash was consistently piled high outside the main entrance garbage can. We never saw the general manager masked (though the staff was) regardless of the signage throughout the hotel. One of the interior halls by a side entrance is reserved for a wheeled dumpster. I am very surprised this is affiliated with Best Western.
We stayed for four nights. Other than the beds being comfortable, nothing else was good about our stay. Garbage in the room, pool was closed with no indication when it would open, the breakfast was minimal, no housekeeping done (and not informed of that at check-in) and just handed a basket of clean towels. Also, we arrived when San Antonio had a boil water advisory and we were not informed of that or provided any bottled water.
We came for a staycation so the kids could enjoy a indoor pool during the winter. I called ahead and made sure the pool and poolroom were heated and was assured they were. While the pool is “heated” per say, it's definitely not adequately heated for the temperature of the room. The temperature of the pool room was 58 and even though the kids were determined to swim, even outside the pool in a jacket I was still chilly. When the front desk was notified and they called their manager we were told that per city orders they couldn't raise the room temperature because it could lead to mold growth. I looked up city codes for indoor pools and it said no such thing. What the city codes did say however were many codes that weren't even being followed such as alge control and a locked thermostat outside the pool. Speaking of alge, the pool water was visibly green. I again expressed to the front desk that we came solely for the pool and they basically told me there was nothing they could do. I'm sad we wasted our time and money here.
The hallway and room was really hot. Didn't feel a temperature change in the room until the next day. The shower hot water took about 15 mins to work. Breakfast area was closed. Check-in person was not polite. Check out lady was very sweet.
I just want to say when we were exhausted and tired of all the sadness we checked into best western plus and Shiv was at the check in he was very compassionate helpful very friendly and he had two shifts he worked that day . Was so heartwarmed by him . I recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone great rooms comfortable and great people that work there . Thank you Shiv for all your help . .
I have been using this hotel for business and leisure for about 7 years and had no complaints of the professional dedicated employees that work there if there is a problem which seldom happens I have encountered that the management and the employees working under management arw swift to remedy the issue. I highly recommend this hotel.
i loved the staff they were very helpful and curtoureous in a troubled week i was having . They couldnt have been more amazing to me !!! im so thankful for them that week. I cannot wait to stay with yall again thank you somuch!!!
It was a good stay, the room was what I needed and the Internet speed was what I needed it to be at. I don't have any complaints, and the front desk people were nice. The vending machine with the soda pop was functional.
Need to do some new paint, Breakfast got out of juice You have to wait for food Room toilet sink is stock up need to fix we have to wait for the water to be drain so we can use. Front dest they are friendly
I just wanted to take a minute to recognize Jason (front desk). I called Surestay Best Western after a terrible experience at another hotel in San Antonio. My family was in town for my son's graduation from Airforce. Jason went over and beyond to help my family get a nice clean rooms at the last minute. This hotel was clean, great breakfast and everyone was so helpful. Great value for the price
Pictures of lobby were great, but very misleading. When walking into the building it smells musty and bad. The halls are dirty, musty, and need a good scrub. Once in the room we noticed holes in the carpet, stains, damage to the drywall that needed addresses, big window that opens with no screen on the second story. The list goes on and on. I would not bring children into this hotel or anyone that needs a clean comfortable location to stay. When trying to discuss ways to clean the room or refund the money the lady at the front desk was not friendly and no help to us. We promptly left and booked a room at the Drury.
Stayed here while moving our daughter into college. The location was fabulous, close to her school and any shopping we needed to do. The room was very nice and very clean. The breakfast had a nice variety of both hot and cold food options.
Staff is great always welcoming coming and out. It is very closed to lots of restraunts and stores to shop at. Breakfast attendent has everything well stock and welcoming and greeting you. Texas size waffles are the best
My parents and I have stayed here twice now and we love it! The staff is nice and very helpful. The rooms we have stayed in were clean and comfortable! We'll be definitely be staying here again. I'll book for April 2020 and December 2020
Good location with several restaurants nearby, the staff are very professional, friendly, and helpful. The complimentary hot breakfast is very good and presented well. The room was very clean and was completely taken care of for our second night's stay.
I have never been a customer with Best Western. I thought I would give it a shot. I booked on their website and was offered a rate of $66.66 if I prepaid the room so I did. Once there the service was great. Room was ok not what I am used too but for the rate I didn't except more. When I checked out I was emailed the receipt. I was overcharged by $150.00. Now I went back to reservation confirmation and it was $312 for the total to include taxes. I called hotel and was told there is nothing we can do that is what we were sent. I called customer service and was told the hotel is who changed my rate and they couldn't tell me why though. I had them open a complaint. I DID NOT authorize the charge. I will be disputing the charge with my credit card also. I have NEVER had this happen with ANY hotel chain. I have attached both my reservation and my actual bill just so there is proof.
Overall this hotel met all our expectations, after a long day at SeaWorld the kids just wanted to rest, and this hotel is so close to the park. The receptionist, all the staff were friendly. In the morning a nice hot breakfast.
Wish I could say good morning but that isn't the case. I rented 2 rooms and we had the most uncomfortable stay. Room 416 keys would not work, all night neighbors were extremely loud and the front desk clerk Raymond was dismissive and did not address the situation and was extremely rude. Room 414 had a leaking coffee pot, refrigerator was warm and the toilet was disgusting. And on top of all of that, while checking out, Raymond did not ask us about our stay, was rude and dismissive when told about our horrible night. I will be addressing this issue with corporate. We did a 12 hour drive and received a poor nights rest. Unacceptable.
This hotel stay was well worth the price. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The shower was great. The only problems we had were: 1: Not enough shower towels. 2. No sheets for the sofa bed -- had to go to the front desk for the sheets. 3. The pool area was being painted during our stay and we were not informed of this up front when we booked the room or checked in.
Beds were comfortable breakfast had different selections. Pool was indoors. The staff was very helpful with every question i had. Location was close to many restraunts that I can choose from. I will be back
The staff was nice, room clean, and comfortable. Only complaint is the breakfast room was very small, and not much left choose from with so many people. I would stay at this location again though, if I needed to. Over all good stay!!!
Felt like I was staying at a Super 8 or Motel 6. Staff was not friendly, pool was very dirty and over-chlorinated. Fitness Room had 3 pieces of equipment and two of them were falling apart. Breakfast was chaotic!!! Free-for-all dash just for egg and sausage patty.
Staying in this hotel for our SeaWorld trip was a great decision. The staff was good and breakfast was great. Staff help in every request we made. Breakfast lady even went out of her way to get my granddaughter a straw to drink with when there wasn't one in the breakfast room.
Lobby is nice. Hallway carpets are run down and need replacing. The room was clean and cool. There were no batteries in the remote for the TV. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner. Breakfast was adequate. Location is great, near the highway so a quick hop on and you can be anywhere in SA in 20 minutes. Front desk staff at check in was not very friendly, but they were ready with our key when we arrived after 2:00 am. The next day when our key didn't work, a middle aged lady wearing way too much costume jewelry and a vanitude, first said it didnt work because it was after check out. When i pointed out that i had paid for 2 nights, she wanted to argue that it was our fault because we kept the key near a cell phone. She was incorrect, and she could have fixed the card in 30 seconds but she went on about how it couldnt have been the hotel's fault. We weren't interested in placing fault, we just wanted back in our room. My only real complaint is the hot tub has a ring of black tarry goo at the waterline. DONT GO IN THE WATER!
Love love love that is was really clean. Cleaning staff out due them self. Very friendly!! Couldn't be more happy! Loved that we were close to so many different places to eat. Loved the in door pool it was very clean!
This place is great. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, and the beds are very comfortable. It's close to anything you might need and a short drive to SeaWorld. The breakfast was a little disappointing with limited items, but that is common for most places. We would absolutely stay here again.
This was a decent stay for the price. The suite was large enough to accommodate my family of 6. Kids enjoyed going down for hot breakfast. The hotel was clean, but needs to be updated. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Stayed June 29th, had a good time, the kids loved the pool. It is close to several places to eat, fuel, and shopping. Is also close to SeaWorld and Fiesta Texas. The beds were very comfortable and for the WiFi signal it was good. Did not partake in breakfast but is like many others, we just decided on McDonalds instead due to the fact several people where already filled the breakfast area.
Hotel had a bit of an odd odor to it upon entering and throughout the building. It wasn't overly noxious and offensive, but was noticeable to me. Room was par for what I expected - could have been cleaner bathroom, floor swept better, etc. - definitely the desk needed pulled out and cleaned behind as there was debris and food particles back there when I had to move it to retrieve an item. The sheets and bedding were clean at least. Breakfast was about what you expect for a free breakfast at a hotel. Not great, not awful, typical offerings. Pool not available until 10 am as it is located in the vicinity of guest rooms and the noise from it carried down the hallway when I was in the lobby the previous evening.
Front desk staff is very nice. Parking was good. We walked in and immediately noticed carpets were dirty and stained. At night while we were sleeping could hear neighbors talking in the hallway, walls were paper thin. Lots of noise could be heard. Something by the TV wall was making a rumbling noise. The beds were lumpy and somewhat uncomfortable. There was a foamy pink ring around the toilet. We weren't sure what it was. We will not be staying at these hotels again.
In checking the price of the hotels in the area Best Western was the best value. I would recommend Best Western properties to anyone. Our favorite Best Western is in Lytle, Texas. This property is well kept and has been from it's opening day.
Nice hotel. Great price. Only problem was when I checked into my room my bathroom was not as clean as it could've been but the front desk attendant did not have a problem giving me another room. He also had the security lock on the door fixed.
Definitely would not recommend poor management! We had missing items/medication from our room, and we were treated rudely by all staff after reporting it, situation was not addressed with any concern.
Hotel looks good online, but the pictures do not represent the state of the hotel in person! Hotel was falling apart. Bed was not comfortable. My wife has a bad back and sleeping issues. After 1 hour of resting on the bed, she knew she could not stay in that room. We complained to management, who said they were full and could not switch our room. We asked for a refund or to switch to another Best Western. They refused, were angry, and did not work to solve the problem. But even the sheets were thread bare, cheap and scratchy. The shower was dirty and the carpet was not clean either. No walking in bare feet! The pool was near and noisy to our room. No wonder it was the last room left! Where did the saying of the customer is always right go? They got their money (or took it) but letting others know the truth may help them not to get ripped off in the future! Greed doesn't pay! Don't stay here! You will be sorry. Even the best western manager at a different location told us we were not the only ones coming from there who complained of the same problems at the other property. There are many hotels in the area. Pick something else!
Good size room, breakfast was included and very good. Very centeral for places of interest. Within 15min drive for most. They have a washer and dryer, which was perfect to wash my son's cloths. Staff were very friendly.
Our room did not get fully cleaned the 1st day theu didnt even make up the bed. The toliet had dried pee on the sides at the bottom the whole time we were there. The pool was not really heated the room was cold and the hot tub was disgusting.
Clean room and nice mattresses. Front office check in was very nice. Indoor pool and hot tub. Extra towels available by the pool. Nice breakfast in the morning which included two waffle makers, sausage and eggs, pastries, fruit, and juice. We would stay again. Not fancy but nice.
Hotel smelled, it's old and floor squeak. This hotel needs an upgrade fast. The only good thing I have to say about the hotel is the staff and the indoor pool. We do not recommend this hotel to a family. We got this hotel because it was closer to Sea World but I rather pay extra for better hotel and breakfast.
Wasn't too bad but, for the price I felt like it should of been cleaner. There was a spot on the wall that looked like mold and the baseboards needed to be wiped down definitely. The staff was nice though.
This place is very nice, clean and a great value. I was pleased with the staff, location and cleanliness. This place exceeded my expectations and would recommend it to my friends and family. Keep up the good work, your staff make the difference
They have a small sign on counter that if u dont take the time to read they double authorize charge freezing ur funds . Here we are 2 days later they took funds for one night stay but still holding the same amount for the pre authorization. But other than that it's an awesome place to stay close to everything and lots of restaurants very close. Will be staying there again for sure.oh and if u think u can check in early that's a no .
Our room was great. Very cold and comfortable beds, but you could hear everything around you. It sounded like horses were above us running back and forth, slamming doors! It was a horrible night, couldn't even get any sleep! Although the room was spacious, there was not enough towels, only 2 washcloths for 3 people, and only 1 towel for our hands. The indoor pool was small, but clean and had a hot tub. Too many kids made it impossible to hear each other with the echo in the room. Breakfast was nice and hot. I wouldn't stay here again being that you hear everything and people have no consideration for others!
Beware they charge for crib rental, don't be surprised at check out. It's not listed on their website and they don't tell you at check in. When I noticed it at check out and asked, the guys response was "I didn't even know we charged for crib rental" and then was unable to do anything to help. Also, both nights the 4th floor including our room smelled horribly for marijuana. I've stayed at many budget hotels and the smell has never been this strong. I called the front desk to see if they can help with the issue and they just said they can't do anything about it because they can't tell which room the smell is coming from. I tried stuffing towels under the doors but it hardly made a difference. Their promise "If something goes wrong, we will make it right" is a complete lie. Many things went wrong, and they did nothing to make it right.
My 2 year-old found an uncapped, dirty hypodermic needle under a bed. After repeated attempts at contacting the hotel manager, Best Western corporate was contacted. Corporate advised that they couldn't help “due to the severity of the incident” and that liability would rest in the property. We have been ignored by hotel management. Pick a different place to stay. They will treat you better.
Addi Campos was very accommodating to me and my family during our stay. The breakfast was hot and fresh daily. The staff at this hotel are friendly, professional and courteous. The on sight laundry area was very clean. The equipment appeared new.
Sheets and carpet dirty. Pillow case had apparent lipstick. I got stuck in elevator and front desk implied it was my fault (I'm a grown adult...NOT MY FAULT). It didn't get fixed the entire time. I asked if they would put an out of order sign. They didn't. They advertise and indoor pool but it was ice cold. NOT A HEATED POOL. Front desk staff was OK. Breakfast staff seemed irritated
This is one of my favorite places to stay at when i go to SanAntonio. Not only do you get great service but you sleep great. restraints and local stores are close to wrk to and they have a variety of restaurants that a you can order from at all times. Book your rooms tonight with Leslie and tell them Eddy sent ya !!!!
When I first booked the room I was a little nervous because of other reviews. However, if I had to visit the area again, I wouldn't hesitate too book this hotel again. It was 10 mins from Lackland AFB and very easy to commute to and from for the duration of my stay. Convenient to stores such as Walmart, Ross and Target if you need last minute supplies. Many restaurants to choose from for any meal of the day. It was a quiet stay even though they were full. My room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty decent and did the trick. SeaWorld was close by as well as it's about 20 mins from the airport.
I only do one star if we have to leave. 2 stars are if the hotel is tolerable. Clean room ? Yes on the surface. But there was a was of bright pink bubblegum on the lampshade. Inside the drawers is dirty. The carpets need cleaning. Room needs a deep cleaning. The rest of the hotel seemed the same -surface clean. Breakfast was big issue - not enough space and the attendant needed some pep in her step. This hotel is very close to Sea World with 4 floors - they need to do something to accommodate all the families. They have paper signs up that state you can only eat your " complimentary" breakfast in the designated area. In other words it's free deal with it. One other issue is desk attendant not exactly friendly and she only keyed our keys for one night. We had to get maid to let in, then have redone at desk. Complete with no apology. I cannot speak to value as I got a deep discount through my Legal Shield membership. I do travel at least two weekend a month - for this market they could do much much better.
Hotel was very clean, both inside and out. Our room was cool and comfortable when we arrived. Personnel was polite and helpful. We had no problems during pur stay and gladly recommend this place to anyone. We will stay here again.
Beware if you stay here. There is a theft ring that targets this hotel. Be sure to park as close to the front entrance as you can or your car will be broken into and they will steal anything they can get their hands on. My vehicle had the window busted out and they stole about $1000 worth of tools that were covered up inside of the cab. I tried to contact the manager several times to make them aware that they needed to beef up security or see if they could have patrols stepped up in their area but no one would ever call me back. It is a shame because this hotel is in a good area; it is close to restaurants and shopping all accessible from side streets without having to get on the freeway. One other thing, be sure to check the top cover on the bed because either they use a strong chemical on it or it had some kind of infestation in it because it made my hands and arms break out with red bumps. Needless to say I won't be staying here anymore. I hope this review helps.
Well all I can say nice is that it is close to Seaworld and shopping the owner/staff are polite. First of all the rooms don't have AC on when you arrive. It's 104 in Texas? Really? Also we had booked two nights but only could make it to one. No refund or even discount. The beds are lumpy the couch, the wall and the chairs had stains. The bathroom had mold and black grit all around the tub. I stayed at a Sleep Inn in Round Rock, TX much different. This hotel needs a mini maker over and return to Choice Hotels standard.
