Your hotel in Athens

Athens can be explored by day and by night, so rich is its natural and historical heritage. Start by climbing to the top of the Philopappos Monument for a panoramic view of the whole city and to admire one of the most beautiful sunsets in Europe. Between the Acropolis on one side and the surrounding mountains, the spectacle is striking. Also admire the beauty and rigorous layout of the straight streets of this powerful city.

The Acropolis Museum deserves a visit. Modern and spacious, it houses exceptional masterpieces. Continue to the Athens Central Market to immerse yourself in the daily life of the locals. The atmosphere there is lively, festive and joyful. The National Archaeological Museum of Athens will satisfy art and history lovers, before you head to the largest architectural complex of ancient Greece, the Acropolis. At the foot of the Acropolis, the Agora was once the centre of the ancient city and helps you better understand the lives of the Greeks at that time. And the Erechtheion is by far considered the most sacred site on the rock. Take your time there before going to the Parthenon, the unmissable religious monument of Athens, which once housed a chryselephantine statue of Athena.

If old stones and historic monuments are not your favourite pastime, the National Garden will charm you with its lush plants, its mini zoo and its botanical garden. This place is perfect for relaxing, resting and family walks before heading back to more cultural sites. Likewise, Mount Lycabettus offers an unforgettable view of Athens, during the day or in the evening, especially when the city is lit up.

If time allows, stop at the National Archaeological Museum, which displays an impressive collection of sculptures from all civilisations, or at the Parliament on Syntagma, Athens' main square.
