What a fabulous location. Easy to get around on the Metro or by bus. Lots of patisseries and restaurants nearby. The room was tiny so thank goodness we just packed an overnight bag each for our short stay. If you're staying for longer and pack large suitcases you'd be really pressed for room. Customer service was great. Elevator to your room - be prepared if you're claustrophobic. Barely holds one person and their luggage. Breakfast could be improved so I'd suggest not going for the breakfast option and instead visit the restaurants and patisseries nearby.
Excellent location. Great customer service. Was a little disappointed in the breakfast selection but then should have done a bit more research and found that there are award winning patisseries within walking distance. Also a great brasserie next door. The room we were in was a bit tiny but then you don't go to Paris to stay in your room right?
Great hotel and staff! Hotel was very clean. Great location in the 6th arr. Within walking distance to all the great sights; including bus/metro. Restaurants on every corner; Thevenin Boulanger Pâtissier across the street, would definitely recommend. Again, front desk staff were fantastic! Would definitely recommend and stay agin.
The most important thing for me in a hotel is a good night's sleep, especially after big time change. The rooms and baths are small, but very quiet and the beds, linens and pillows were comfortable. The staff was very helpful and polite. The location is very close to two metro lines and the Luxembourg gardens. The hotel breakfast is simple but puts the typical American hotel breakfast to shame. The are several typical French cafes nearby and a terrific Thai restaurant just a few blocks away.
In the 6th. Bus and Subway stop are right there. 3 cafes one each corner. Walking distance to Luxembourg Palace. Stay was very friendly spoke English without putting you down. Entry was secure into the building. Has a lift to get to upper floors.
This is a lovely hotel with wonderfull staff members. A parking lot is down the street if traveling by car as we were and very walkable to the river and attractions.
This hotel is in a great location! Close to metro stations and in a safe clean neighborhood. There are cafes on 3 corners, a fresh market, and a boulangerie. We booked a superior room with 2 twin beds. It was worth it to have the extra space for me and my daughter. The AC worked, we had a tub and shower, a small balcony, and good WiFi. The staff all spoke English and were very helpful. The full breakfast was very good, we had added it to our hotel package and it did not disappoint. I would stay here again. We felt safe and enjoyed our stay very much.
Enjoyed 3 nights in Paris visiting family. Hotel Aramis provided an ideal stay , literally around the corner from family, and central for the Metro ( saint placide). Friendly & helpful reception staff. V clean and quiet. Secure & safe.We will stay here again when next visiting family. Thank you
Great location, friendly staff, clean and tidy. would stay again. Loved being able to walk to most places or catch the metro outside the door.
Great location, bus & metro short walk. Rooms are small, but clean & adequate when you are busy sight seeing & there to sleep. AC, small elevator appreciated. No drawers or closet, but a large tiered shelf in corner, worked for 2 people. Did not get breakfast. Loved having a tiny balcony on the 5th floor for morning coffee & evening beer. Front desk staff helpful, friendly, no complaints at all. Would book again if ever back in Paris.
This is a comfortable botique hotel in the middle of St Germain. You are a few steps from bistros & bars. I was here for the Olympics & I simply had to cross the street to catch the subway to everything. It was hot outside but my room was very nicely air-conditioned. It was also quiet. I found the staff to be outstanding and helpful. There was a large typical continental breakfast with hard-boiled eggs. Be aware that a standard room is "cozy". For me to set up the luggage rack would involve blocking the balcony or making a tight walk around the bed. 2 big bags? I have no idea. There are shelves & drawers if you don't live out of your suitcase. The room was clean, modern styling & the bed was quite comfortable. I would stay here again.
Very nice, clean room, with coffee machine and water boiler. The room was on the back side, and quiet. Good air conditioning: the weather was hot. Iced water for guests in the lobby. Very polite employees. Near to restaurants and boulangeries. Convenient parking nearby.
Our favorite boutique hotel in Paris . The staff William, Sylvia and Andrew are extremely helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. Hotel is in a fabulous location, near Metro, Gare, Small Cafes and Small Shops. We have stayed here five times - all excellent
Excellent location in the beautiful Saint Germain area. Directly across from metro and bus stops. Friendly and easy check in. Small elevator up to rooms. Our room had three windows and 2 combined twin beds. It was well laid out to take advantage of space and storage. Windows were essentially noise proof, we slept great. Would highly recommend! Enjoyed our stayed and will be back next time we're in Paris.
This hotel location is hard to beat. Metro and bus lines right outside the door. Multiple restaurants and businesses of every description in the immediate neighbourhood. Great twice-weekly farmer's market 2 blocks away. Staff was very accommodating to our requests, very pleasant to deal with. Aramis St. Germain is an older hotel, and provides all you need for a stay in Paris.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming property. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom large and modern and the bed was super comfy. The location was perfect, close to Montepartnasse and all the main sites!
I've stayed in a few hotels in 6th arr and this is one of my favorite. Great location steps from 2 metros and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Great staff and nice/clean room with a comfortable bed. I wilI stay here again!
This was a wonderful hotel, so close to metro (walking) but not touristy..We felt very safe, even at night for two ladies traveling. So close to all the typical adventures for your first time in Paris. The daily breakfast was so fresh, beautifully displayed, and plenty to eat each day. It was the highlight to start our adventures with each day. We were so happy we chose the 6th Arron. and this hotel. Lots of cafes at the corners to choose from, shopping all within walking distance. The neighborhood was lovely and we could see that we were within where typically Parisians dine and visit. It was not overcrowded area at all.
Best Western Aramis Saint-Germain is a good choice for a budget friendly hotel in Paris. It is located close to several Metro stops and great food options. We opted for a standard room with a double bed which was actually 2 twin beds pushed together with separate bedding. The beds were comfortable and clean We were able to check in a bit early which worked well with our arrival. There is a very small (1 person + luggage) elevator to bring you to your room. The stairs are very steep and narrow to accommodate the small footprint of the building. The room and bathroom were very small, for US folks, think a dorm room with a double bed in the middle. Being a taller couple, we had some issues in the bathroom as the sink was basically on top of you when you sat on the toilet. The shower had sufficient hot water but the flow was a bit low despite only being on the 2nd floor. Everything was clean and the cleaning staff did a great job ensuring everything stayed that way our entire visit. The thermostat didn't seem to work as our room got very warm every day and we often resorted to opening the window to cool off. We opted to not pay for breakfast (16 euro per person per day) since there were some amazing restaurants and boulangeries less than 2 min walk away. Overall, this hotel met our expectations for a budget hotel in Paris.
Hotel Aramis is lovely and very reasonably priced. I enjoyed the breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. My friends stayed closer to the Seine and I was able to enjoy the 3/4 or so mile walk feeling very comfortable walking on my own at night. This is important to me. I would stay here again for sure.
We choose this hotel based on location and price and were very happy with both. We had room # 32 which is a basic room. The room is very small (as are corridors and lift) but we knew this beforehand and was not an issue as we spent very little time in the room. The bathroom and shower were a good size. The bed was comfortable and overall room was clean. Location is great with shops and bistros on its doorstep. There are also 2 metro stops close by. We didn't bother including breakfast in our booking but you could add this for €16 pp per day. We had little dealings with the hotel staff but any we did were professional and polite. Overall we were happy with our stay.
100% non smoking; individual room thermostat control plus air conditioning in summer months; very clean; convenient to St Placide metro across the street; variety of Brassiere adjacent to hotel and across street; legitimate bank ATM across street; 2 pharmacies around corner; neighborhood coop for fruits , vegetables and groceries; 24 hr McDonald's down the street. Main metro station 2 block walk. Excellent taxi service and concierge service.
The room was decent, the bath is ok. But the most important thing is breakfast. Wow, I was shock by the selections of the food! There were pancakes, sausages and even EGGS! I was really shocked by the building! It was really tall but the TV sometimes doesn't work.
This hotel was located in the perfect location walking distance to many attractions, lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. The hotel itself was cute. The rooms were small the hallways were smaller. The staff was excellent. Overall, it suited our needs and I would recommend this hotel.
My partner and I enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It is clear that the hotel staff are trained professionals in the domain of hospitality. At both of our stays, we were very grateful for the kind gestures (greeting us with a smile, allowing us to check in early, giving us a complimentary upgrade for our second visit, helping us to print our train ticket) we received. Besides this, the hotel passes all the tests: it is comfortable, perfectly placed in the city (close to Gare Montparnasse if you have a train leaving from there and close to Boulevard Saint-Germain, which provides endless entertainment and delight, several cafés, shops...), clean, quiet, and reasonably priced.
Reservations for 2020 had been made in 2019 prior to covid. When we had to cancel our 2020 trip, they would not make any concessions (like everyone else in the world was doing because of the pandemic) to their non-refundable policy. It was nice that they'd honor our reservations until 2023, though I guess. The hotel was very small, even our "superior" rooms were tight, but it WAS clean. Silvia at the desk was very nice and very helpful, but we found the gentleman who was there at the desk most of the time to be not so great. (I don't know his name - it was not William though.) His personality was not very customer friendly, for one thing. The look on his face said he didn't really care if he resolved your problem or not. Our friends had to make multiple requests to have their AC checked, but this never really got taken care of. (There was a non-commital glance at a control of some sort next to the check-in desk and a bored/patronizing statement of "No, it's working." (It wasn't.) To the contrary, our own AC was working great, to the point that I was cold, and when asking for an extra blanket, they didn't have one. Odd for a hotel, isn't it? We had also pre-arranged that they would call for a taxi, specifically a VAN, so that all 4 of us could go to the airport in one vehicle, and even checked to confirm it the night before, but that morning, just a small car arrived. We had to quickly call for a second car and were thankful we had allowed enough time to get to CDG airport. On the whole, they made some money on us. Our original reservations were for 4 nights each for 2 couples. Due to travel date constraints, we had to shorten that to 2 nights, so a total of 4 reserved and paid for night were not used. At that point we were upgraded to superior rooms and included continental breakfasts were added. However, breakfast came out after we left each of those 2 mornings. That wasn't their fault - it was because of tours we had booked the 1st morning and our early departure time the 2nd morning, but again, we sure didn't use up nearly the services we had paid for. All things considered, would not stay there again, and would not use booking.com to book anything.
We were happy with the cleanliness and location of this hotel, however the room was very small and the service was not what we expected. We requested that a taxi be reserved for us on the last day to take us to the airport. We specifically requested a van or similar size to accomodate all four of us and our luggage. A small car (Prius) showed up which barely handled two of us and our luggage. We were very disappointed and had to pay extra money for an additional cab to accomodate our needs. Also, the bathtub was very unsafe and I had to help my husband in and out because of the way it was configured. And he had to help me. Very slippery as well. Also, we had trouble with our air conditioning, it kept shutting off and it was very warm in the room.
Really enjoyed our stay in this great location, with clean and comfortable rooms. Be aware the top floor is not for those with mobility issues but no problem for us and great views. We really liked having brasseries next door and lots of shops on this street. Staff friendly and helpful.
We stayed for 3 nights. Firstly the good parts. The location is very convenient with 2 Metro stations within a couple of minutes walking. There are also restaurants and a nice Boulangerie nearby. The staffs are excellent! Very friendly and helpful. 5/5! Now the not so good part - the room is pretty old and dated. Standard room is a bit too small so will recommend to get the deluxe room if budget allows. The air conditioning is great for summer so that's a plus. But for the price that I paid (probably peak), I might get a better deal in some other locations so the price-to-value score was a bit too low for me. 2/5.
We were given two rooms for our family on the second floor. We were pleasantly surprised to find AC in both rooms, although one of the AC units began leaking from the bathroom ceiling on night two, requiring a move to another room. That room also was like a dungeon without any street-view lighting or windows. We were also pleasantly surprised to find sound-proof windows so the rooms were very quiet at night. Beds very very comfortable, and the rooms are pleasingly appointed though cramped. The location can't be beat with excellent shopping and dining all around the neighborhood. Staff was helpful and super friendly. Besides the dungeon-like room with the leaking AC, our only other criticism was that the bathtub/shower in Room 10 is very awkward and dangerous to get out of, requiring one to lean down and hold the sides of the tub to avoid falling down. Seems like an accident waiting to happen.
I used to promote Best Western amongst friends and family in Europe. Not any more. We had to switch rooms because there were hairs everywhere - one mound on the fresh towel on the floor in the shower and old food in the fridge. We moved to a room with gross carpet and writing on the wall and chipped paint. After the first day we asked if breakfast was included (no one mentioned) and they said yes and gave us the times. Then at the end of the stay we were charged for it instead. We could've gone across the street to a beautiful bakery and pastry for so much less. I felt very taken advantage of which is dangerous when there is a language issue. Our cups/coffee were not replaced each day. We list $60 worth of mean and cheese when we left the room and took out our key it made the fridge not work and returned to a horribly smelly room with spoiled food (for the second time.) the shower was not adjustable and did not drain and water flooded the bathroom. The location was great but the stay was over priced and cost us and the lack of cleanliness was not acceptable. We stayed an an American hotel for this reason. Luckily we were busy most of the day and didn't want to move rooms for a third time but I won't be staying at a BW again.
This hotel is in a great location with cafe's and bakeries, shopping and sightseeing all around! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are small, but laid out very well. The bathroom seemed small at first but was actually spacious because of all the shelves and cubbies for storage. The hotel was also very clean and quiet. We were in Paris on a family vacation and this hotel served us very well!
An amazing, cute hotel that is worth the price! The location is perfect, with the metro and larger train station being right nearby (not to mention all the amazing cafés in the area) The staff are amazing, I had an emergency in which I needed a room and they were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself is very clean and has a warm, inviting feeling. I cant recommend it more.
The hotel is across the street from Saint-Placide metro, which was incredibly convenient for traveling to other parts of Paris. The only problems I bumped into during my stay was with the air conditioning. I know that when travelling to Europe there oftentimes may not be air conditioning. I have no problem with this. However, I chose this hotel partially because it advertised air conditioning and I knew the weather was going to be pretty hot. The first night my room's air conditioning was not working. I asked the front desk if they could help. They ended up moving me to a different room, but the AC also did not work there. Rip. I asked for a fan. The front desk gentleman informed me that he had distributed the last fan just a few hours previously. So invest in more portable fans! Other than this mishap, this hotel is a great option for travelling on a budget, especially for solo travelers. The room was somewhat small. This was fine for me, as I was travelling alone. The bathroom was very nice and not cramped like others I had experienced. There is a little cafe and Asian restaurant across the street from the hotel that I frequented most days! I believe they were called Thevenin and Nezard. Additionally, I felt pretty safe staying here as your room key opens the otherwise locked front door at night.
Great value for money and friendly staff. My room unfortunately faced a wall and so was dark which made it seemed even smaller. I am not complaining as the room was only for sleeping but did mean I gave it a lower rating than the other categories
The location was ideal....we walked to almost all of our destinations. I enjoyed the charm of the hotel and I felt it provided everything we needed. It felt very French...The staff were so friendly and acco
Hotel is across the street from Saint-Placide metro which is great for travelers heading to/from Paris Est (long distance TGV / ICE trains), since you don't have to transfer as they're both on Metro line 4. The hotel bathroom appears newly renovated, however the bathtub is oddly angled with no safety bars - not great for elderly guests. Also avoid rooms on the 6th floor as the elevator only goes up to floor 5 and you have to use the stairs. The wood floors are very creaky overall - could hear noises from adjacent rooms. Great front desk staff - always friendly and helpful.
My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights and we enjoyed the friendly staff, convenient location, great neighborhood. Our first night was in a smaller dark room on the 1st floor and there was construction noise right next to our room early in the morning. The staff was extremely accommodating and moved us to a different room on a higher floor with the street view, which was bright and comfortable and away from the construction noise. We greatly appreciated their friendly and accommodating staff. The location was very convenient.
Good location, close to old town and train station. Efficient and friendly front desk, and adequate gym. The locks on bathroom doors were broken and there is a bit of noise from the street at night , but not too disturbing.
This hotel was great, it was very good value for money, the staff were very friendly, and the rooms were very clean. There were also 2 train stations on 2 different train lines very right near the hotel which was helpful.
Excellent location, close to a Metro station which means major sites are easily accessible. Lots of choices for places to eat. Excellent boulangerie/patisserie close by. Helpful and friendly staff. Overall, we had very good experience here.
we enjoyed the Aramis St. Germain - my only suggestion would be for a handle to hold onto getting in and out of the bath tub. It was higher than the floor so was difficult to step out of the tub, and could be dangerous if one slipped.
I read many reviews before selecting this property near Luxembourg Saint Germain. Far exceeded my expectations of modern cleanliness. Rooms are efficient and the elevator is small, but these are insignificant details. Kind and proactive staff, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. A minor issue with the air conditioning unit was resolved BEFORE I inquired about it. What a delight! I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you, BW Aramis Saint Germaine! Wonderful walking neighborhood and experience.
Great place to stay and we would stay here again! Large room and great price for Paris. Extremely friendly staff. Very close to Montparnasse train station and several metro stops, Bakeries and restaurants everywhere!
It is in front of the Saint-Placid metro station. It is surrounded by restaurants, bars, little super markets, stores, etc. 5 minutes away walk to Luxembourg Gardens. All staff is very friendly. The cleaning service is great. The only problem we had the first day was that the A/C did not work in our room, and we were moved to a different one.
The ARAMIS Saint-Germain is my “go to” hotel in Paris. This was my fifth stay here. It is in a central location to walk and to take the metro to anywhere in Paris. The rooms are typically on the small side, but they have comfortable beds and are quiet for a very good night's sleep. And the rooms feature a very nice Nespresso machine. All you need for a night or several nights in Paris. The best thing about the ARAMIS is the first-rate staff in the hotel. They are the most helpful reception staff anywhere. They will help you with anything you need or might want. I cannot praise them enough. In the area you will find whatever you need - very good bakeries, cafes, the wonderful Bon Marche store and the Jardin du Luxembourg. This hotel is really the perfect Paris hotel. Thanks again to the excellent reception staff here.
The hotel staff was friendly and polite! The rooms are small but well maintained. Nothing fancy the furniture and things like lamps and desks are definitely on the cheap and used side. So I found the price of $746.00 for 3 nights double occupancy a bit on the expensive side for what your getting. It maybe just what one needs to expect from being in Paris these days? Don't know but seems a bit pricey to me.
A lovely and welcoming hotel, very well located in Saint-Germain close to Montparnasse, right across the street from Saint-Placide Metro. Amazingly friendly staff who looked after us and our every need. We booked well in advance and were given a spacious and light-filled double room, on the fourth floor with large windows facing a quiet back street – at a very reasonable rate given the prime location and high standard. Impeccably clean room and facilities, good security, comfortable bed and pillows. Wifi worked fine with Teams meetings for a couple of hours work at the room desk. Breakfast at the hotel or take a pick from very good boulangeries and restaurants you can literally see from the hotel entrance. I can highly recommend Hotel Aramis (and Paris in April is probably as good as it gets when choosing a Euro city long weekend). À bientôt!
The hotel is situated right in the heart of the Montparnasse area with a lot of good authentic restaurants, boulangerie and pâtisseries nearby, some of which are Michelin starred but in a very reasonable price. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. They accommodate your needs to the best of their ability, in the quickest way possible. 10/10 would recommend
Polite and efficient service with a helpful night porter. Room and bathroom were fine. Woken up by loud banging next door - hotel did not warn us this would happen and we didn't get an apology or a goodwill gesture of compensation which was disappointing. Good location, right near cafes and metro stations and the Luxembourg gardens.
Great location! Right by metro (across the street) and front desk can get you a cab in a matter of minutes. Opted for breakfast included - Just cold options which were the same everyday. Lots of shops and restaurants/cafes/bistros just outside the front door. Rooms are not large but manageable. Good shower water pressure. Front desk was friendly and helpful.
This is my third time staying here. The staff are lovely. The location is perfect. It's clean and just perfect. The rooms are quiet and well designed. There is everything you need and more. I love it!
Loved the place , everything was perfect and just the way my son and I wanted things . Perfect place to go if you are looking for convenience , comfort and cleanliness all in one place . The hotel is surrounded by high street shops as well as 3 metro lines which is all within a 5 minute walk.
The hotel has normal sized bedroom for central Paris but with a rather spacious bathroom incl bathtub. Small safety box not fitting laptops or iPads, but the hotel reception could take our stuff in their bigger box. Short distance to metro stations Saint Placide (Nr 4) and Rennes (nr 12).
The location is suitable to travel within the city. Instead of taking cabs, from this location we could just walk around and visit the sites. The staff are really really helpful and supportive. Had a great stay. Will be back soon. :)
I had a small, comfortable room in this hotel - exactly what I required. Great location. The manager was professional, friendly and helpful. I would say that in terms of the room I booked, it would good value and a great choice for a weekend or a three night stay.
We enjoyed our visit for 3 nights. Location is excellent with metro stop just across the street, lots of stores, cafes etc. nearby, Very friendly and approachable staff. We stayed at the cheapest room option which while small was all that we really needed. While it's at a street crossing our room was very quiet with windows closed.
I had a horrible experience at this hotel. First, at check-in, the agent didn't know how to apply my three gift cards and blamed me for not having emailed the gift cards to the hotel in advance. Secondly, he did not provide nor offer a welcome gift for me as a Diamond Select member, as required by the terms and conditions of Best Western. When I mentioned the welcome gift to him, he said he had never heard of Diamond Select, nor was he aware of the different status levels with Best Western. He obviously didn't recognize my status in any way. Third, he didn't provide the welcome drink that the hotel prominently advertises at the top of its webpage. I emailed the hotel management and spoke to the manager in-person the next day, and he refused to offer anything for this terrible experience such as a complimentary breakfast. He insisted that his hotel didn't need to offer the Diamond Select welcome gift because his hotel had upgraded me. He failed to recognize that the welcome gift is separate from a potential upgrade, in direct violation of the terms and conditions. He also said that it was unreasonable for his staff to be familiar with Best Western Rewards, such as how to process gift cards or what status levels are. Finally, he said the welcome drink wasn't offered due to COVID, even though the webpage still prominently advertises this. This hotel should lose its Best Western affiliation immediately because it has no respect for Best Western elite status.
I have nothing but good things to say about Aramis hotel on Rue de Rennes in the St. Germain area of Paris. Although it is part of the Best Western chain, it really feels like family. It is in a great location with lots of everything you need at your doorstep, including metro stops, and only a 10-minute walk from Jardin du Luxembourg. What sets this hotel apart is the excellent service. Although it is not family run, the front desk staff makes you feel like family from the minute you walk in until the minute you check out. Our appointment at a lab for our required Covid PCR test for return to the United States was a few hours after our check out time. The hotel was going to shut down for a month and they were getting ready to leave. But they kept our luggage and waited until we had the test done before closing the hotel. The three gentlemen running the front desk always went above and beyond with any questions or concerns we had. We had a very nice room on the fourth floor with plenty of counter space, refrigerator, and a real armoire. There was plenty of room for our suitcases. The building is triangular facing two very busy streets—Rue de Rennes and Vaugirard—so there is a lot of noise if you open windows (unavoidable if you choose to stay in the city). However, the double paned windows work like magic and shut out the noise completely. We had the air on during the day but opened windows at night to get the cool breeze. It worked out. The best part about this hotel is its location, double paned windows, and especially the service. We can't praise them enough for treating everyone like family and genuinely caring to make sure all guests have a very pleasant stay. Aramis hotel is our home away from home in Paris.
Our trip to Paris was delayed by a year due to Covid. Our travel agent became a complete waste with rebooking our trip. We've stayed in Paris before, but the Aramis in St Germain has become our favorite place to stay. Staff and accommodations were excellent.
This Hotel is right where you want to be in the middle of Paris. Very cosy room. It had everything we wanted with a great staff to help. We found the bed to be very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that doesn't mind a small room. We loved it.
I liked so much about the hotel...the staff were great, the location is fabulous, everything was great...except the mattress! We stayed for five nights and I don't think I slept well a single night. The mattress was very hard and I found the pillows uncomfortable as well. Unfortunately, it really doesn't matter about everything else that is good about the hotel if the beds are so uncomfortable. If they fixed this, it would really make this a great hotel.
This is a local area but not far from tourist attractions. It's maybe a 5 min metro ride to everywhere. I would easily recommend this place and stay here once more. The latin quarter is wonderful and the bars and everyone is great. It will be very evident you are around locals especially at night. the bar next to this hotel is perfect. It is just as friendly and upbeat as staff here.
I had to find an option to host my extended family for a weekend. I couldn't hope for a better alternative at this price. This hotel is perfectly located, just 0.3 miles from the most beautiful district in Paris, St Germain des Prés. Perfect welcome and flawless room quality. I recommend without any doubt !
Had a great weekend at the Aramis... perfect location, close walking distance from all the main Paris attractions and great value for money! Friendly staff that gave me great advices to discover Paris! Would warmly recommend it to friends and family!
Haven't been to Paris since I was a student staying in hostels. Was surprised how affordable this hotel is, given its great location, in a nice neighborhood, and the amenities. Wonderful open air market a few steps away. Short walk to Bon Marche for shopping. Bus stop and metro station out front (and another metro line a block away). Friendly staff.
Ok first off, the location is perfect . Abundance of shops and restaurants . There is even a mini grocery store nearby at the back street . If traveling as a couple, pls book a superior room because the standard room is super tiny . There is no way you can open your luggage because the space is just too tight to move . It's a room for a single traveler with only a carry on. And this was on the 6th floor. The elevator only goes up to the 5th floor so you have to drag your luggage/s up the winding and narrow staircase . Bad enough the elevator is a size of a small refrigerator . It was so frustrating the night we arrived from the airport apart from being tired . Fortunately, the front desk staff were very understanding and patient with me since I was annoyed already. They were able to find us a superior room to our liking . So I commend them with excellent customer service.
Perfect central location opposite a Metro station. About a 15 minute walk to Notre Dame through safe and beautiful neighborhoods. Very close to the Luxembourg Gardens. The room size was fine - it's central Paris so a little on the smaller side. Great to be able to open the windows fully. Room was very quiet - no traffic noise. Very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel is situated a couple of minutes walk from two different Metro lines - and is an easy walk from many of the sights and lots of wonderful restaurants (so we didn't eat in the hotel at all). Room was small but clean and lovely. Front desk staff were brilliant - especially Alessandro (I hope I have his name right!) who ordered us an airport shuttle bus. Only downside I found was that as I had booked thru a third party website I had to pay the tax when I checked out so I couldn't do express checkout - my own fault for not realising this, and it wasn't a big deal.
Folks at reception were extremely nice and helpful. Good central location. Parking was a bit expensive considering when we booked we thought it was included. Very nice room. Shopping, restraunts and convenience stores all close. No complaints.
This is the fourth time I've stayed at Aramis Saint-Germain in the last 15 years. The staff & service are great and the rooms clean. Excellent location; across the street from the metro. Lots of nearby restaurants and shops. Great soundproofing- quiet neighborhood at night. I only wish they hadn't switched the breakfast to a “buffet” style. It used to be such a great breakfast experience.
My husband and I were as always impressed by the friendliness, of the staff of Aramis that were at all times available, and willing to help with a smile. The room was comfortable, very clean, and plesantly presented. We have stayed before in this hotel, and we will come back. Also, the fact that it is very centrally located makes life, even at the time of the strikes that we were there, easy enough to walk around.
We stayed here 3 nights for our Viking Paris to Normandy pre cruise . The location was excellent, Andy at the front desk was the best , I asked numerous questions and he provided me with maps and directions, he was like my personal concierge the whole time I stayed there. It is in an excellent location, the metro is across the street and you can travel around Paris from there , I highly recommend staying here !
We were there in Oct and had trouble with how warm our room was. This is the time when AC/to heat was occurring. He had to reset our heating so that we could have the fan blow. He knew exactly what the problem was and could resolve it. Very helpful on directions and just making the stay a pleasant one.
Was a great price for a last minute buy(booked the night before), location was excellent easy less than 2 minute walk to the metro. Great food and shopping near by. The service was very helpful and staff was very friendly .
Slept well in comfortable bed, room was clean and quiet. The neighborhood was fun to explore and conveniently located near the Metro and bus lines. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good.
The overall experience is quiet good. Hotel location is excellent near the Metro and Bus Stations. The surrounding are quiet at night busy at daytime. Rooms are very small, but clean and tidy. Price was very high, when I checked in, it's a high season in Paris at these dates
This was our 2nd stay at BW Aramis St-Germain. We were there in 2017 and the hotel has had some remodeling, adding a nice lobby, new key system while keeping the excellent service provided by very friendly, helpful staff. The location is perfect, with 2 Metro stations practically outside the door. The rooms are small as should be expected in this price range but they are clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay there whenever we are in Paris.
Perfect hotel - immaculately clean, everything in very good condition, very comfortable beds, good bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Exceptionally pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent location in smart area near Metro stations and good restaurants and shops. (Review from British couple, visited Paris several times before).
Could not have been better. The hotel layout and rooms are a little tight to say the least but easily made up for by efficient and friendly staff and the unsurpassed location. That is, in a square that comprises two great bistros (esp. L'Horizon), a coffee and pastry shop, a green grocers and most importantly Saint-Placide metro station. Easy walks to Gare Montparnasse and, in the opposite direction into Luxembourg Gardens and the 6th and 7th arrondissement. Quiet area but accessible to everywhere you want to go, by metro or foot. This will be a go-to for any future trips to Paris.
This small hotel is actually family owned and operated. That single fact makes this Best Western experience worth the high rating. It is a small hotel that feels more like a boutique than a chain. It is clean and well managed. The staff at the front desk all speak English (along with other languages) and Andy (owner / manager) may be the hardest working (and nicest) hotel Manager I have ever met. He was helpful with every request. Expect small rooms and some without any view (though our upgraded room had two large windows opening to a quiet street). Both of our rooms had thermostats with strong AC, fast internet, and small, modern and very clean bathrooms. The Express breakfast with Coffee, fresh squeezed juice, and croissant at 6 Euro is a good deal considering a coffee alone is often 4 Euros in many shops. A taxi to the middle of Paris' zone of tourism is about 15 minutes and 10 Euros (depending on traffic) though we walked (about 30 mins) most days. There are cafe's immediately outside the hotel as well as a bakery and small shop (with wine, food and drinks). In the opposite direction from the river (a 10 minute walk) is an amazing area with large crowds and outdoor restaurants that spilling into the streets from everywhere you look. If you don't expect a Hilton in the heart of the Paris tourist district, you will enjoy this hotel.
Stayed with my son. Very clean, decent breakfast. No issues to have breakfast early 6am. Food was already laid out but staff not yet in. Front desk guy made me coffee as the breakfast lady did not arrive till 7am. Convenient to St. Germain area. Some great little restaurants in area La Georgette was excellent.
I love this hotel, staff very friendly & always smiling. Fast WIFI everywhere. Rooms are large enough, beds are comfortable, room is isolated from any noise, have a balcony, A/C is good specially is July, bathroom size is fine. Breakfast is good, but need some more varieties of cold cuts, as there's only one type. Location is amazing, Metro Station Saint Placide is in front of the hotel, street full of shops like H&M, Micromania, Etam, Pandora, Fnac, Benetton, Zara, Levi's, Also C&A but at the end of street in Montparnasse shopping center, also many restaurants & cafes around the corner. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
I was thrilled to find this hotel. It was a great price and had AC which was a must for me in July/August. I was pleasantly surprised to find a lovely hotel, clean rooms, very comfortable, and still very French. It's in a great location but our room was completely quiet. The rooms are small but there was a ton of places to put our stuff. They use the space very well. And the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I just can't say enough about it. We had a great experience all around!
This is a great central hotel to enjoy your stay in Paris. Great bakery, cafe and bistro all downstairs. It is a family run business with the entire family being attentive and friendly and responsive to any needs you may have. Housekeeping was great and there is a breakfast available should you wish to pay a little extra for it. Overall, it truly exceeded my expectations. Do keep in mind the rooms are small in Paris no matter where you stay. Truth is, you shouldn't be spending too much time indoors :)
Clean, comfortable room and bed. Room is well insulated from outside sounds, making a good nights sleep possible. Outstanding front desk staff/manager who was very friendly, welcoming and able to readily answer questions both about the reservation and about the area. I was by myself so the room was appropriately sized. There is s very small elevator for those with luggage. The hotel has good Air conditioning and secure Wifi, which are both a must for me when I look at hotel bookings. Short walk to Luxembourg Garden, Galerie shopping and train/car rental at Gare Montparnasse.
Great location, neat and clean, great vibe, amazing balcony with super views - perfect to wake up with a pain au chocolat & coffee and watch the streets of Paris below. Only drawback is rooms a bit small, but hey, we're in Paris and it's all about the character! Extremely clean and tastefully renovated, would stay again.
I am a woman in her 50s traveling solo who had one night in Paris before going to Bordeaux. I took Le Bus from CDG and walked with easily with my suitcase to this hotel. The staff was very friendly! The room and hotel are clean. I felt safe. I got a good sleep. It's a great location to explore some of Paris. I plan on staying here again.
Been there this May for 5 nights. The Room was small like many parisian hotels. Bathroom was comfortable.breakfast we just had once, but was very good. The area is very close to a couple of metro stations, and there's a lot of cafes, patisiers, restaurants,a supermarket etc...it is also close to the Luxembourg gardens and Boulevard Saint Germain. We highly recommend!
Room was neat and clean. The size of the room is small in comparison to American hotels, but typical of most European facilities. Staff was friendly and spoke in English when they realized that I spoke little French.
The location of Best Western Aramis Saint-Germain was excellent. We could walk to many venues and cabs and ubers were easily available when transportation was needed. The staff was knowledgeable and extremely helpful in answering questions. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. I would recommend this place to other travelers to Paris.
This was my third time of staying at the Aramis St. Germain, although only a short two day stay. The room was adequate and bathroom facilities were good. Staying on the 6th floor was difficult with luggage as the elevator only goes up to Floor Five. The desk personnel were wonderful and gave several recommendations for making our short time work....Thanks so much!
You walk out the entry and there are three restaurants/brasseries on the adjacent corners of Rue de Rennes. There is a bakery, chocolatier and newsstand within a block. Two different Metro lines are just steps away. This is a very busy street so the people-watching is a treat. The hotel desk agents are personable, especially Alex who helped me immensely, and speak English well. My fourth-floor "comfort" room features a double set of French casement windows that open up to a generous view of the vibrant street scene and of course admit a ton of beautiful French air and daylight. There is a functionally well-designed long counter for personal items, beverage glasses, etc. There also is a big closet and a well-appointed bathroom with good water pressure and shower/tub arrangement. The room has a fridge and safe too. Sleeping for me was decent all seven nights. I will definitely book this hotel on my return to Paris as it is a tremendous value.
The location is great with easy Metro access and plenty of resturants, pastry shops and endless shopping availble. Easy walking distance to many attractions. It may not be a 4-5 star hotel by North American standards but was very acceptable for the 3 nights we stayed. Front desk staff were excellant. No issues encountered or regrets about having stayed at this hotel.
I stayed in Best Western Aramis Saint-Germain for 2 nights during my trip to Paris. The location of this hotel is great since there is a metro station in a few minutes and also you can walk to Luxembourgh Park in 15 minutes. Besides there are a lot of supermarkets and restaurants in a walking distance. Very clean room decorated with internet and climate control system. My bed was comfortable, I didn't face any problems during my stay in this hotel.
The location could not be better - the Saint Placide metro station is right across the street and the Rennes metro station just a block away. Walkable to the Musée Orsay and Notre Dame. The front desk staff could not have been more helpful, and communicated with us in English with no problem. The only complaint would be the small elevator, but that is minor compared to the positive aspects of this location.
Perfect location for small shopping in Paris. Democratic price for stay cafees, restaurants, metro station and all main shops ar very close. Rooms are small, but clean and nice. Breakfast is included, but there is plenty of nice breakfast places around. In front of hotel you can find chinese bistro with good food to take away.
We booked a family room for two nights in February half term. The room was very clean and the bathroom had lots of decent toiletries. The Reception was being refurbished so it was temporarily re-located to the bar area, which was a shame because it meant the bar and breakfast area was out of use for guests. Breakfast was served in your room instead. The Receptionist was extremely helpful on check-in and gave us some ideas of places to visit whilst we were in Paris. The hotel has a good location with lots of restaurants close by. I would definitely stay here again.
We spent 3 nights here and had breakfast in the hotel every morning. The lady on breakfast was very smiley :) and the breakfast room is nice and bright. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is a kettle and a minibar in the rooms. The bed was very comfortable. We had a quiet room on the Rue de Vaugirard side. There are lots of shops just outside - cafes and bakeries. The nearest metro stop is the Saint-Placide which is just outside the hotel. You can also pick up the RER B to/from the airport at the Luxembourg stop which is a very pleasant 15 minute walk via Rue de Fleurus through the gardens.
We loved the location on Rue de Rennes- not excessively touristy, close to several metro lines, short walk to Blvd St Germain - which has many excellent and reasonably priced restaurants, long but very doable walk to Isle de la Cite, les Halles, Place de la Concorde, Louvre (35 min walk) , shops and supermarkets close by, many Churches and museums nearby etc. St Placide metro is across the street and Rennes metro is a block away; Montparnasse RER (train direct from airport) and metro is 3 blocks away. The hotel rooms are small but not by Parisian standards. Room was clean (though rug seemed a big questionable), bathroom was nice, small fridge where we could remove their drinks and put in ours, helpful staff at front desk, good recommendations on nearby restaurants. Elevator was quite small but functioned OK as did steep stairs. Room temperature was adjustable with thermostat. A fairly ample closet to put our stuff. Room has safe and TV including CNN in English, etc. We had the "comfort" room instead of "deluxe" but it was quite adequate. Apparently deluxe has an expresso machine instead of just a water boiler with (quite good) instant coffee and tea. We liked the hotel would stay there again. Price was high (about $260 with breakfast for two) - two or three times what web sites advertised for this and other nearby hotels, but apparently some conventions in January raised the prices of this and other nearby hotels. Holiday Inn across the street was similar price - perhaps a tiny bit cheaper - but I would prefer this smaller hotel, all things considered. Good instant coffee and tea in the hotel room. The breakfast was adequate (15 Euros if you pay or 6.5 for a petit dejeuner the latter avail 6 to 12). Full breakfast included hard boiled eggs, coffee or tea prepared for you, apple, sometimes banana, fruit cocktail, yogurt plain or flavored, cereals, croissants, bread, pain au chocolat - little rolled up pieces of ham. Not quite as nice as the full buffet choices at some hotels but quite adequate for our needs - full breakfast is only available 7 to 10:30. Hotel is affiliated to Best Western, but not owned by them. We loved the area, liked the hotel and would stay there again if it is price competitive with holiday inn or other nearby hotels. Reception staff speaks English and French. Internet is free and worked well with my Samsung phone but for some reason didn't work with my wife's I phone - perhaps problem was her phone. Lots of places in Paris have free internet these days - restaurants, etc. We paid for a double (available at 2 PM) but we arrived at 9 AM - exhausted and they gave us a triple, available immediately at no extra charge.
First of all, a lot of mold and dust in the ventilation system (the photo is attached) which makes the room dangerous for health. I sneezed and coughed regularly, it stopped only with the opened window. Second, a very arrogant and never helpful person (actually the only one) at the reception - whatever I asked him the answer was "no". The last irritating thing - twice he couldn't print a bill without a mistake in my name. He told me that sent me it by email, but didn't do it. The location of the hotel is perfect & good cleaning.
My wife and I stayed in Hotel Aramis and everything was good. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating and we would stay there again. The location is close to shops, restaurant, bus stop and Metro.
Summary: I recommend this hotel for the combination of rating, price, and location. Location: Saint-Germain is a desired location in Paris. You can do your own research on this. This particular Hotel has Bus Lines and two Major Metro lines (Metro 4) immediately outside the entrance and Metro 12 (two short blocks away). This is important to get around. There is a French restaurant (Le Trait d'Union) immediately next door on the corner. We ate their many times (breakfast, dinner, and late food and drinks). Excellent service with the pricing comparable to any French corner restaurant. We liked it because it is mainly a local “hang-out.” Other amenities that we used local to the hotel were a clean laundry mat (maps says 5 min walk) called Pressing Laverie at 5 Rue d'Alencon, the local grocery store (called Franpix), and no-frills coffee shop chain called Brioche Doree. Despite what other reviews say about the slow and bad services of waiters, in the eleven days, we did not experience any bad service at any of the many restaurants we visited. All waiters were polite and quick. We did not use any rating guides to pick where we ate. We ate when we got hungry, wherever we were. Hotel amenities: Clean and up to date. Windows are practically sound proof. The hot water is instant. The down blanket was plenty to keep us warm. The heater worked perfectly. The elevator is very quiet. The employees are all 5 star. Very comfortable room for two people. We were on the 6th floor. The elevators only go to the 5th floor but worth the Great views. Taxi from CDG airport to the hotel was flat rate of $55 euros. I would definitely stay again.
We very much enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are small but comfortable and very clean. Great location we were able to walk to most of the tourist spots and there were lovely shops close by. And great food.
Staff exceptionally friendly and nice. Room always clean and has everything you may need: Coffee; mini-refrigerator; hair dryer; WiFi. Location excellent with many nearby cafes and restaurants. Next to the Metro.
This is a super hotel. The staff especially Alessandro are brilliant. The rooms are cozy and so quiet. The advice and recommendations are there on tap from Alex. Buses across the road will bring you almost everywhere and the metro is right beside the bus stop. It's a great location and the hotel has a really lovely feel to it. We will be back!
Great location updated bathroom clean rooms and bathroom which is very important for me the cleanliness Rooms on small size but overall experience great thank you hotel AramisLocation unbeatable on rue de Rennes Highly recommend
Convenient to Metro and buses. Lovely boulangerie across the street for quick retrieval of breakfast pastries. This was a guilty pleasure as a perfectly adequate breakfast was available through the hotel. The staff were all helpful, charming and friendly despite my mangled french. Our room was very quiet despite being on a busy road. The room was compact (small!) but the amenities were all there. I did not plan to dance in the room anyway.
All sights and cafés are within walking distance. 5 minute walk to Blvd Saint Germain with the famous cafés and 5 minutes in the opposite direction Tour Montparnasse and all the creperies. Very friendly and service minded hotel staff. A good place to stay.
Friendly staff. Clean nice rooms. Lobby was a bit small that even the luggages would struggle to fit. Good view of the Montparnasse from out window. Great location. Breakfast was not worth noting but everything else was good.
The Aramis is in a great location in a neighborhood with good restaurants and steps away from a metro station. Our room was clean and well appointed with a roomy bathroom and lots of hot water. It is small and family owned. The owners sometimes man the desk and are often seen carrying luggage and giving good information about getting around Paris. Breakfast is served in an interesting room facing the street so you can watch Parisians scurrying to work or school. Other breakfast options are only steps away.
Very convenient location with tube access on street and attractions. Rooms are bit smaller compared to US standards but include all amenities. breakfast buffet is good and Front desk staff are very professional.
Great Location..... a 20 minute walk from Notre Dame, The Louvre , Eiffel Tour , The Sienne. EASY to get to from the Airport using the RER and the Metro Line. Rooms are small but very comfortable and everything you need ..... They have Breakfast but I had to leave for the Airport really Early
Good hotel in great location. Price good compared with the boutique hotels close by. Decent size room walk in shower' fridge' safe (free) wi fi all there. Hotel reception excellent especially the American guy.
The gentlemen at the reception desk spoke perfect English. He was extremely helpful with directions and entertainment suggestions.( sept. 11-14) . Great variety of breakfast food. Walking distance to Galleries Lafayette, Montparnasse Tower and variety of restaurants .I recommend this hotel.
The staff were very friendly and most helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The rooms were quite small even for paris and had the bare minimums for a 3 star. There were no features or particular special touches to make the hotel at all interesting or memorable.
Our stay here was just wonderful. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The location is so perfect - right next to Saint-Placide metro and easy access to anything you would like to see. I would highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again.
For my family it was no doubt what hotel chain to choose for its high standards and comfort of the staying. It was our first travel to Paris and when planning the trip the above all and mandatory requirement was to have a triple room at a reasonable price in a walking distance or close to public transportation to get to the most must-see things in Paris. This hotel met our requirements to the full. A metro station just to cross the street (by the way, really convenient to get from and to CDG airport with just one change), bus lines leading to Paris attractions in the centre, as well as cafes, pastry shops and famous Montparnasse Blv restaurants – all so nearby, simply next door. The triple room was comfortable, clean, neat and quiet, though the hotel stands at the cross roads, there was no street noise inside thanks to modern windows. Maybe some might say the room is rather small, but trust me, it is enough for three adults to relax after all-day-walks exploring the city and have good sleep in comfortable beds. The hotel provided all the necessary things: shelter, comfort and breakfast to start your day, not to forget tea/coffee machine in the room. I can't but give many thanks to the hotel staff for their great hospitality. They kept our room tidy and clean, full of supplies, answered all our questions how to get here and there etc.; and special thanks to William for his great help providing us with some kind of administrative support. Should we have a chance to visit Paris again we would definitely stay at this hotel. P.S. Other guests may have different opinion on the subject but the great impression of the hotel is reserved mine and only mine.
We stayed in Paris for couple of days for sightseeing. The hotel is in a great location. It is steps away from Metro line 4. It has plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and is within walking distance from Montparnasse, which has more eating and shopping options. The room is very clean and tastefully decorated. The hotel has AC, which we very much appreciated after spending long hot hours outdoor. The room is small, however, so need to be mindful of the room type when booking especially if you have luggage. The staff is very friendly, stored our luggage when we arrived too early. Would highly recommend this hotel.
First time visiting Paris on an extended stay... Hotel staff were very professional, personable and genuine. The location of the hotel is very close to public transportation and within walking distant to restaurants and other places of interest. Will surely re-book with them if in the area again!
Hotel was great. Room and bathroom where clean. The location was excellent. Just a few minutes to walk from important areas of Paris . Alessandro was great as well as an Italian staff member Highly recommend
Had reserved and paid on arrival a Superior room. They first offered us a 1st Floor Comfort room, then found a Comfort room in 4th Floor. In my reservation I clearly asked for a room in a higher Floor. I do not write the wish to keep me warm! It always spoils a little your welcome if you have to "discuss" the details on arrival. I checked on the BW Aramis home page that we are paying for Superior room but the picture of Comfort shows our room exactly. They denied any refund on reception. So please check the prices and what it includes when you reserve. The standard ot cleaning was good, but no replacement for shampoos and shower gels without asking. The hairdryer was from the sixties and did not work properly. The location of the hotel was excellent. Shops, restarants, bus routes, metro very close. But the earlier TA comments on which I decided the hotel were not valid.
We have stayed at this hotel several times now and every time the experience is great. The staff is always pleasant, the rooms are quiet and comfortable and the location could not be better. I love having a home away from home in Paris!
The staff and location were both excellent. The staff was always willing to assist when needed and always gave us a warm welcome ! The location was great with the Metro directly across the street and lots of cafes and shopping in the area.
Would stay again and recommend to others. Centrally located if you use the Hop On/Hop Off buses or public buses. 10 mins from Louvre by public bus, 15 mins to Eiffel Tower by public bus. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Bring your bags down early when checking out to avoid waiting a long time for the small elevator when other visitors are checking out at the same time.
This hotel is exceptional in every way. Perfect location, extremely helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are what you would desire to give you the feel that you are in Paris. All the touches from the lavish curtains, armoire and small touches. You leave your actual key at the desk and they are there to give it to you no matter what time you return. You never have to keep track of it. I will stay here again and hopefully for a much longer time.
Stayed at this hotel for my 70th birthday celebration and first time in Paris. Booked this hotel 18 years ago but had to cancel late due to illness. They were very fair and understanding so vowed to use them again when finally having the opportunity to visit Paris. Very convenient location, helpful staff, clean, comfortable and quite. What more could you ask? A definite recommend .well done Aramis!
I've stayed in this area of Paris for more than 25 years, but now that I'm retired I needed to find better pricing. This hotel was absolutely perfect for me. The room was small but very reasonable size (for Paris!) and quiet. I was worried about street noise, but I didn't hear anything. The front desk staff was always helpful and the housekeepers kept the room nice and clean. My only complain was the old carpeting...but I always bring dip flops, so it wasn't a problem. The location can't be beat...great access to the Metro right across the street (and another line near Bon Marche department store about 7-8 min by foot.) You can take the train to Versailles from the Montparnasse station (10 min by foot.) All in all a very pleasant experience.
Hotel was average, nothing amazing, nothing terrible, room was clean but very small which seems to be pretty normal in Europe, first night our shower was backed up which the staff fixed the next day, staff was friendly and spoke English well and good access to the metro/train station.(Gare Montparnasse train station)
The staff were very helpful and friendly, Room was small but typical for Paris. Fairly quiet, not bothered by any noise. We could hear a little traffic.Safe, loved location. Close to nicer metro stop. Wonderful shops, resteraunts, bakery just outside the door!
This hotel is in a great location, across the street from a metro stop, near restaurants, and a nice walk to Luxembourg Gardens. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the room, while a little small, was clean and comfortable and with all the amenities I expected. A typical nice, European hotel. I will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
Hotel was average but the location was great and compensated for this as we were out most of the time. Rooms are quite small so if you have more than two suitcases then it will be a challenge manoeuvring around the room.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable but small as expected. The location is superb. There are 3 wonderful cafes steps away from the hotel. Also close to a market, and shops with beautiful and delicious French pastries. Close to metro and not far from the Montparnasse station.
Enjoyed our stay. Room clean, beds comfortable, staff friendly. Liked the fact that they had dark shades. Lots of shopping and good places to eat close by. Also close to Metro stop. Is quite a step in and out of bathtub for anyone with balance issues but no problem for us.
Great location!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The front desk was incredibly helpful and accommodated us so we were able to check in early. There are 3 restaurants right next to it and they all are pretty good. Metro stop is right across the street. The 6th floor doesn't have a lift so you have to go to the 5th floor and climb a flight of stairs. No big deal if you don't have issues with stairs. The corner rooms appear to be a little bigger so try to get one of those. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone.
Great location in the 6th district, near metro, shopping, restaurants, sites etc... My room was on the top floor, which had no elevator access, so I had to carry my bags up the stairs from the 5th floor. My room was a bit outdated, although clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and most spoke English well. I stayed there for 4 nights last October 2017.
This was a nice hotel right in Paris. Across the street from the Metro. The staff was very pleasant, especially Andy & Paula who run the place. Several nice cafes surround the hotel. The only drawback was the breakfast, which was not that great.
Our party of six took 3 rooms in April 2018. We were very pleased with this hotel, our first stay there. We were pleasantly surprised to find our rooms were available well before official check-in time. The rooms are quiet, well-appointed, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is terrific with many shops & restaurants nearby, and Metro stations just a few steps away. It is a lively area, but feels safe. The petit dejeune was OK, but not exceptional. The airport taxi arranged for us by the front desk was also clean, on time, and the driver was helpful and friendly -- many hotels will get you a cab, but sometimes they are a little sketchy -- this hotel works with a specific taxi company. We all especially appreciated the exceptionally helpful front desk staff on all shifts.
ALL ABOVE EXPECTATIONS ! Hotel Location is Exceptional. Impeccable Front Desk Staff. Room space convenient. Bed size and comfort remarkable. Spotless cleanliness of Room and Bathroom. AC is excellent. Breakfast ok. Overall: Have already re-booked for our next visit in 3 months!
My wife and I stayed here for our first time in Paris. The room was small but from talking to others, all hotels are in Paris. You do not need a big room to enjoy Paris! Bathroom is spacious and modern. The hotel is a 30 min walk to just about every major attraction. If walking is not for you, the hotel is right next to two metro line entrances. You can get anywhere in Paris by going on either one of these lines with catching connecting lines at other stations. We took the train into Paris at the Gare de l'Est train station. We took the purple line from the station to the Saint-Placide metro stop, which is a 15 meter walk to the hotel door, for €1.90 each. If you want to save money, take the metro. The staff is friendly, you have bars/cafés/bakeries/conveniences stores within a block, you are centrally located in a safe arrondissement (the 6th), and the hotel is a great price! If you want a great time in Paris this is the hotel for you!
Excellent hotel great staff and perfect location. Very good service and very helpful particularly with getting around Paris. Clean rooms and quiet all in all great stay. Highly recommend for private travel or business. I
We stayed at this hotel over the weekend. The hotel was overpriced. Friday night $150+, Saturday night $180+, no breakfast included. ??The room was tiny, even for Paris. The bathroom was tiny, even for Paris. There was no view. ??The walls were thin. ?? The location was the best thing about the hotel. There were two lines that had easily accessible stops, although one of the lines had stops under construction, so you had to be on your A game when choosing your route. There were some restaurants and small patisserie shops that had good selections. We have stayed in Paris multiple times and I always like to stay in hotels that are near the touristy things we like to do. I choose this hotel for the Best Western name and knowing it was an American-type brand. It really means nothing. The last hotel we stayed in was Hotel Eiffel Turenne, which was awesome. It is a very nice modern boutique hotel that I would highly recommend. It was also well priced. The rooms were larger, brighter and had a great view. ??It was also in a location walkable to the Eiffel Tower!?? Do your research and look around before you pick this hotel.
A group of us stayed here for 4 nights at the end of March. 2 of us got rooms that had no window that viewed the outside, the only window looked out onto a spiral staircase fire escape. Hence there was only dry air conditioning. When you opened the window you got a horrid smell so had to shut it again. The bathroom also kept smelling of cigarette smoke periodically. The room was so small I struggled to get my suitcase in the room between the gap beween the door and bed. I would NEVERstay here again. These rooms should not used. The breakfast was nice but a much better breakfast is available in a local hotel which includes hot food.
Very friendly and helpful hotel staff. Conveniently located near the metro. Rooms were very small, but clean. Just enough room to walk around the two twin beds. Nice sized bathroom. Only real issue was the room temperature. It was way too hot even though we turned off the heat. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but in all fairness we didn't get to breakfast until close to the end of breakfast time.
The rooms were very small and dated. The lobby was the best part of the hotel. Good news is that the hotel was close to the Metro. We had a 3-person room and all that meant is that they brought it a roll-away bed into a normal size room, so we were cramped.
Thumps up and will select again and will surely refer to select this Hotel . Very Close and walking distance to almost everything ... Loved the location , the hotel environment was very friendly. Especially the hotel receptionist were very friendly. They even helped and loaned me the adapter to charge my Phones etc ...
We stayed 2 nights at the hotel Aramis for a family week-end in Paris. I would highly recommend it. It is located in the Latin Quarter, surrounded by lovely shops and restaurants and a 5 mins walk from les Jardins du Luxembourg. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. The room was lovely and very clean. We will definitely be back!
The Best Western Hotel Aramis-St Germain is a marvellous little gem in the heart of Montparnasse, just a block or so from the Gare Montparnasse and with easy access to buses, taxis and the wonderful Paris Métro. The staff is excellent; everyone is very polite and friendly, and terrifically courteous. If you ask for something, or if there is a problem, they take care of it straightaway. The rooms are spotlessly clean, ditto the corridors and main areas. Everything is very well maintained and in excellent, working order. The breakfast is very filling and wholesome: lots of good baguettes, croissants, and pain au chocolat (a personal favourite). Fresh fruit salad, boiled eggs, ham, cheese, and yoghourts round out the menu. It would be nice to have some hot food, but that is a personal thing and should not be considered a critcism of the hotel. They really do offer a good breakfast! The rooms are a bit on the small side, and could use more dresser drawers and better closets, especially for longer stays. But, overall, they are well furnished, and have nice bathrooms. There are lots of outlets so you can plug things in, and the Wi-Fi is very good, too. Frédéric and Paola are the owners and they are there nearly every day. They really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and taken care of. I very, very much enjoyed my stay here, and would definitely plan to return, very soon!
Good location. Clean practical rooms. Lovely bathroom with relaxing bath. Hairdryer much better (more powerful) than at most hotels. Staff are friendly, professional be helpful. I didn't have the breakfast but it looked good. I would definitely stay here again.
Had a very nice 4 day stay here. The rooms are a bit small but we'll organised so it was not a hassle. Staff was friendly band helped us out wherever we needed. Location is great and price is a good bargain.
Great location, comfortable rooms and attentive staff. The location of the hotel makes it very easy to travel around Paris. By the time we stayed the M4 line was closed, but just in front of the hotel has a bus stop which we used as a subway substitute in some situations. It was all perfect!
A comfortable two night stay with extremely helpful staff. The hotel is small and the rooms are cosy and well equipped with coffee making facilities, a small but contemporary shower with power shower, AC and heating. The hotel is conveniently close to the metro, a whole range of eateries and bars and a mixture of boutiques and familiar stores.
The personnel were very efficient and very helpful. The room was clean and the hotel was well located. Bathroom and bathroom utilities were OK and renewed every day. Towels clean. Over all we had a nice holiday trip in Paris and, we enjoyed staying at this hotel.
Small but perfectly formed. Spotlessly clean and well managed. Rooms typical of small French hotels but delightfully appointed , very comfortable beds and quality linens etc. Bathroom was very up to date with a big walk-in shower and powerful hair dryer. Front office staff were efficient and helpful. Breakfast is simple but with enough choice and everything very fresh. Would happily recommend this place to anyone wanting simplicity with quality in an area where transport and plenty of good eateries are on the doorstep.
Neat and clean hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful any time I asked them for something. Would stay here again. The room seemed small by American standards, but really not that big a deal if you are planning to visit a new city!
I stayed at this hotel for a business trip. I suffered a rubbery of EUR5000 which I saved in the hotel safe. So far the hotel has not reimburse me and claims that the insurance company is analyzing the case. Other guests were robbed on the same day as me.
Excellent location convenient to Metro, restaurants museums and shopping. Desk staff courteous. Good Wifi. Would have liked more breakfast options and the walls were a bit thin. Other than that everything was great.
The Best Western Aramis Saint Gernain is a small but very nice hotel. Our room was for 3 people with one double bed and a small extra bed, it was a little tight but but not uncomfortable. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the area and a Metro station just across the street. We had a small breakfast on just one morning which was basic but there are plenty of other options just outside.
Perfect location in the heart of the 6 arrondissement , clean, nice service and good quality price. Metro line at 100m. We will be back in the future in one of the next visit in Paris. Family owned for generations
The location is excellent - it is very well connected to every place in the city. Although it is a reasonably long walk (around 40 mins), I did walk to Eiffel tower. Louvre is even closer. It is a very good choice for what you pay for. The hotel is well-managed and the staffs were friendly and helpful. The only downside is the breakfast - it is just an average one with limited choice. However, if you would like to be in a decent place close to the city, there are few places to match.
We ended up getting two rooms at this hotel, one was a queen bed and the other was a triple (double and single beds). The rooms were on the 6th floor because we were able to kind of have our own hallway area leading to the two doors which was very nice. Downside to being on the 6th floor is that the very small elevator (can pretty much squeeze 3 people no luggage or 1 person and maybe 2 bags) only goes to the 5th floor. So we had to lug our luggage up one flight of stairs to our rooms. That being said, the rooms were not cramped at all and the hotel was very nice, clean, and quiet and right on a bus line and metro. The front desk was very helpful with maps and they were always willing to help us with our french. We did not do the breakfast here but instead walked across the street to the bakery in the morning, not sure if the breakfast is worth it for the price.
Great value for money. We booked a room for three nights. The room and the toilet were spotless every single day. There are two metro stations close by - which makes getting around Paris very easy. All the receptionists I talked to and dealt with were also very friendly and helful. I highly recommend Best Western Aramis Saint-Germain.
Very well located, room very clean ( not that big ), charming with good bathroom and relaxing bed. Breakfast just normal but a good choice, you can order it on room. Great staff, friendly and kind. Nice street view !!
Professional staff, ideal location, clean rooms and comfortable bedding. My goal to enjoy Paris again was met in part due to a return stay at this hotel. Requests were handled graciously by staff. The location is fantastic and the chance to relax was wonderful because they think of everything. Summary: perfect.
Have just returned from here after almost a week with friends. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in an ample sized beautifully clean bedroom. Faced onto the street but double glazing ensured no noise and peaceful nights. Very comfortable bed. Staff very helpful and very obliging. We had a problem with T.V reception and they did their best to sort it. WiFi connection very good. Breakfast continental selection and plentiful. We found this hotel ideally placed for metro, one station ( St Placide) directly across street and Rennes just around corner. Plenty of shops and restaurants close by . We caught train from Garre Montparnasse station at the top of the street to Versailles and took approx 12 minutes. Couldn't be any easier. If we visit again will definitely be back.
We stayed 7 nights at this hotel, and we were very pleased! The room was a bit small, but as a couple we were fine. More important, it was very clean. The reception were very kind. The thing we liked most was, of course, the location! Two metro stations nearby, one is just across! And the 6th arrondissement is lovely, with Rue de Rennes as one the main streets around, full of shops and cafes(but not noisy at night), and not far from Boulevard St Germain. The elevator is small and does not reach 6th floor, but for the price it was more than worth it. Thank you!
My stay was very short as planned. I was there with two daughters and two grandchildren. It was exactly what we needed for our short stay. Excellent location. Rooms were clean, staff friendly, I would certainly stay there again.
Great location, the rooms are what you'd expect from a Paris hotel, clean (although our first room had a smell in the bathroom, we were provided a new (larger) room upon advising the staff so they dealt with that well). The service was fine throughout however upon checking out we were told we cannot use gift cards (which were provided from Best Western) despite being told prior that we could. This very much soured our experience, no so much because of the fact they didn't know how to use them and ultimately refused and demanded we pay with card, but more due to the way the dealt with it; being told that we must wait until 7:30am for the manager to return - it was 6am and we had already told the reception we had a 7am train and; their refusal to call B/W to verify or even ask how to do this, I was told to call them myself - this should have been addressed with a call to the B/W company support line to ask how to apply the cards. Unfortunately, because of this we would not stay here again.
The Aramis was wonderful! It's centrally located at the edge of St. Germain De Pres. There are both bus and subway stops across the street. Both are very simple to use. You have a choice of three good cafes steps from the hotel. The neighborhood is full of cafes, boutiques, churches, and gorgeous architecture. The staff is multilingual and very helpful, e.g. they ordered a taxi for us to get to the airport, helped us get/print our boarding passes and offered suggestions. Highly recommended!
Next to a Metro ... on the Left Bank so not heaving with tourists ( busy with locals as numerous eating places and little shops) We like walking so Musee D'Orsay and Rodin near enough + Seine and Jardin Luxembourg nearby but even walked to the new Picasso exhibition. A long time ago had "done The Eiffel Tower + Notre Dame ... do go up. ( walked back through the heaving tourists at Notre Dame + tour coaches + Seine bateaux. This visit just two nights before we caught the TGV to Nice (check out First Class and quiet carriage !! )
Lovely hotel with very helpful staff in great location...buses just outside and metro across the road. Lots of places to eat around and big shopping centre close by. The only issue I had wa that the safe was too small for my iPad but lovely staff let me leave it in their care.
As a frequent visitor to Paris over the last 25 years, I have stayed in lots of accommodations. This trip was for business, and I was traveling alone, so tried to travel economically. I read the reviews of this hotel ahead of time, and thought it sounded like a place that would be fine, if not exceptional. I knew the area, and thought it was very well located. The metro station, Placide, is just across the street. Upon arrival at around 11 am, I was so happy to find my room was ready for check in. I was given a lovely room on the fifth floor, room 53, which was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens were especially nice. The bathroom was larger than some 5 star hotels in which I have stayed, and was very clean. The best part of the room, by far, was the terrace which looked out upon the rue de Rennes, complete with a table and 2 chairs. I had 2 double windows which made the room very light. I spent each evening on the terrace watching the light fade over the zinc rooftops of Paris- pretty spectacular. At bedtime, the double windows closed nicely and I was not disturbed by the traffic on one of the major thoroughfares in the city. The helpful and very cheerful desk staff made a dinner reservation for me at a local restaurant, Le Recamier, which was wonderful. All in all, I found this hotel to be a great value in a wonderfully located area. I would definitely stay here again.
We paid for room plus breakfast for 4 nights, unfortunately the hotel failed to provide a breakfast for Celiac, even though we checked on booking and on our day of arrival, it was only on the last day following further complaints that they provided food for breakfast. Wine Bar is also limited and the wines are warm.
Paid over €170 per night for a two-bed room without breakfast. First room given was on top floor (6th) which can only be reached by stair. The tiny elevator does not go beyond the 5th. The room on the 6th looked clean. But for 2 tall people (over180cm) with to large suitcases it was too tiny to our liking. Also not all rooms there have a nice view, so if you find this important: be aware. We were a bit struggling where to put our cases without breaking necks, etc. So we asked for the possibility to move. Which was kindly approved! So next nights we stayed on a lower floor in a larger room which provided more room to move and again was nicely clean. Beds also were made up wonderful and slept good. Beds maybe are a bit on the short side for tall Europeans, but that is with many hotels and was no issue for us. We did not make use of the breakfast. + Clean Friendly staff willing to service Close to metro 7*24h reception - 6th floor only by stairs - okay though with hand luggage Bit outdate looking furniture - though also matter of taste Not all staff members could provide good info on f.i. nice restaurants, bars in large area around hotel; other than "walk that way and there are many". Why not create a list put it at desk so all staff can provide it to guests f.i.
Yes, the room was small. It was well decorated, clean, beds were very comfortable and the area is a great location. The elevator was small (as most are and at least they have one). The hotel has a cool staircase. We stayed on a high floor. Big bay windows open. The bathroom was recently remodeled.
Clean hotel in a great location. Very quiet rooms and a lift. The lady at the front desk was friendly and kind. The only negative was the night manager didn't know how to use the wine dispenser at the bar and I wanted a red wine night cap. Only white wine was in the mini bar.
Nice location With good restaurants nearby. Comfortable bed and nice room and fresh bathroom. Room a bit warm and no ventilation and cooling from what I could see. Very simple breakfast. Cold and hard egg.
Great location, easy access to metro, bus station, restaurants and shopping, updated bathrooms and good facilities. My concern was about the fire escape if in need!! I will recommend to my friends for the stay
The hotel was very small and the room was very basic. This was all we needed however given the high cost of accommodation in the centre of Paris. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom was clean while the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when giving directions around the area. The price was better than the norm given it's brilliant central location. Numerous bars and restaurants close by along with a choice of metro stations a minutes walk away. Excellent, authentic and delicious french brasserie across the road too! Do go!
In this nice hotel, there is nothing missing : perfectly located, charming and neat room, furnished with a lot of taste, helpful and nice staff, good products... All in all a very good address to discover Paris from the very centre.
Great Hotel :) Location couldn't be better - great area, good access to Metro station & Gare du Nord (for Eurostar). Lift was small but this is Paris...my room was big enough and the bathroom was clean and functional. Breakfast was also nice. Can't really fault anything about the hotel. I will be back again.
Hubby and I had a short stop in Paris on our European vacation. This hotel had everything we need. Access via subway (which is right across the street) was very easy. We caught the train and subway in from the airport. The opted for the shuttle they provide (for a small fee) on the way back. Friendly staff. Walking distance to great shops and restaurants. Not too touristy of an area but easy to get to all the famous sights in Paris via the train. Will definitely be back.
Wonderful service from the very helpful and charming staff on reception to the breakfast staff. Lovely bathroom and very comfortable beds. Excellent location on the Rue de Rennes close to many metro stations. Would definitely stay again.
Ok the rooms are a little small but they have everything you need. The staff are very friendly and the location is awesome with 2 local tube stations. They keep the rooms very clean and in a good condition. will recommend.
Great Hotel great location. Room was clean and convenient, friendly helpful staff. Helpful with directions and getting us a cab to airport. Would stay there again when in Paris. Did not have breakfast there. so can't coment.
A lovely little hotel with friendly and helpful staff. In a great location for shops, restaurants and a number of attractions in walking distance e.g. Eifel Tower, The Louvre and Notre Dam. Breakfast was a perfect start to the day. Would definitely recommend this hotel to other Paris travellers.
We have stayed in this hotel two times. Last year, we moved from another hotel to this one, and this year we booked it again because it left a lasting impression. For the sake of efficiency I will list the pros and cons of both stays for a more thorough review. Pros: Friendly and amenable staff. Last year when we walked in off the street, unhappy with our other hotel, and were greeted by some of the nicest hotel personnel we have meet in our trips to France. Both the young man and lady were very informative, gave us an amazing deal, had the friendliest demeanor, and we got a great room. This year we didn't see either of them until our last day, where the young man remembered us from last year. I have to say that is a big plus for a hotel and it was for this one. Location: The location of this hotel can't be beat. It is located on the St Germain area with a subway entrance just across the street and the most delicious French bakery on the opposite corner. It is so good it always has a line in the morning. It is also surrounded by shops, cafes and within easy walking distance to some of the bigger shops in Paris. So truly fabulous location! Quiet: This is a fairly active area of Paris, but not the most active and although, this year's room faced the street, it was surprisingly quiet both for both stays. We did have someone with a new born baby next door, but you could hardly hear the crying which says much about the hotel's insulation. Pro & Con: Rooms: This is where our experience last year and this year differ. The rooms all contain safes, a small refrigerator with some refreshments and are air conditioned. Last year's room was on the very top floor, and although the lift stopped one floor down and we had to lug our luggage up and down a floor, it was a much better room. It was bigger, had a larger restroom with an area to place toiletries, a tub and shower. This year's room, which we booked earlier, was smaller. My friend had to move furniture out of the way to have space. The bed on both sides almost touched the walls and the bathroom only had a shower, no tub and absolutely no room to put our makeup. It was a much different room and it actually made us reconsider if we would stay there again. We have stayed in boutique hotels before and we are familiar with the small rooms, so I guess the disappointment was the big difference between the rooms. Overall, I think this is a good hotel and recommend staying here because it is well kept up and the price is pretty good. It has some amenities and, believe me, the location makes a big difference.
Very convenient location.1 minute from the nearest metro station and 15 minutes walking distance from the Saint Germain church. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable and clean. Good value for money.
The hotel has a great location next to a subway stop, centered between Notre Dame, the Catacombs, Luxembourg Palace and the Eiffel Tower, all within walking easy distance. The only downside is the breakfast options and the room size.
Hotel Aramis was a good location central to most things and easy access to Metro. Rooms were small but very clean and comfortable and we still managed to get 8 of us in for a late drink. Staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel.
The hotel's location is ideal if you are traveling with young children. Jardin de Luxembourg is a short walk away, and the hotel is across the street from the metro. The room was super clean. The perplexing thing about our particular room was a large armoire that took up a lot of space but was not configured to store clothes or luggage. It essentially turned a nice sized room into a cramped room, unnecessarily. It is worth asking if all the rooms have this bizarre armoire. It's not a big deal, but every square meter of space in a Parisian hotel room is worth preserving, right?
The people at the front desk were very helpful during our stay. The location is great and there is an excellent bakery next door that is very convenient for a breakfast before touring the city. The only issue is that we were lacking any bathroom towels one afternoon and had to inquire at the front desk. Apparently, few rooms received towels that day, which is somewhat strange.
Great location, very nice neighborhood. We were able to eat at several of the places around the hotel, there were some great shops as well. Close to the metro, walkable to Luxembourg Gardens. The rooms were a standard European size, very clean and very friendly staff.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Best Western Aramis Saint-Germain. It is a reasonably small hotel however the location is great not far from the Metro station. It is in one of the shopping strips and supermarkets are not far away. The staff were a real highlight. Very welcoming and helpful. Went out of their way to help. Only negative was the breakfast on offer. I have gluten/lactose intolerance so not a lot to eat for breakfast as mainly croissants/pastries ect. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again and have recommended to others.
The building was an older building but the room, though small, was clean, well organized and just fine for a business trip. The location was excellent being just across the street from the metro stop Saint-Placide. There were plenty of very nice restaurants in the area.
Room was cozy and very clean, well appointed. Location is ideal. In the 6th arr. and right by a metro station. Many shops in the area, and decent restaurants right nearby. Will consider staying here again. Staff was very friendly.
I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past three years, most recently in mid-December. The hotel location is great and there are lots of restaurants, cafes, boulangeries and patticerries in the neighborhood...and the metro stations are steps away. I have always found the staff to be friendly, courteous and very helpful. As others have mentioned, the rooms (even the superior rooms) are tiny by North American standards - there is barely enough space for two regular-size open suitcases - but not unusual for Parisien hotels in the same class. The room rate varies hugely from night to night so watch out of for that. At the lower end of the price range, the hotel is an outstanding value for money.
I stayed here for 6 nights over Christmas with my 13 year old daughter and 16 year old nephew. The rooms are very small but most rooms are in Paris. And if we can mange for a week with two teenagers, one being quite grumpy anyone can survive a small Paris hotel. We had a little balcony and my daughter loved sitting out there. The location was great! We will be coming back! I usually stay at high end hotels but this one was fantastic for the price and location. Everyone at the front desk was super friendly!
Perfect combination of location, cleanliness and comfort. I highly recommend it. Small rooms, but nothing unexpected, it's Paris. Tons of great cafes in the area. Great connections to all parts of the city.
Comfortable, clean rooms. A fantastic location with endless choices nearby. Staff members who are helpful, professional and so often find a way to go the extra mile for me. Important issues like safety and minimal noise disruption are observed. Easy CDG access. I've only been home 1 day and am already plotting how I can return!
Booked the hotel through my United Vacations package. My room was small but perfect for me and my daughter. I had a front view. It was great to be able to open the windows and look out at the traffic and street life below. Staff was always very helpful. The location was perfect for shopping and not a bad walk across the Seine. I would stay here again. Only downside was breakfast, very expensive and not a lot of food (great coffee and orange juice with one dry croissant) for 6 euros. There is a bakery across by the metro entrance. If I were smarter faster, I would have been over there in the evening buying my pastry for early morning breakfast on days when I had an excursion to go on.
The Best Western Aramis Saint Germain is a great location for 1st time visitors as well as return visitors. It's on a main street so getting lost shouldn't be an issue. It's in the middle of quintessential Parisian architecture and yet all your needs of food, shopping and necessities are near by. There's a perfect chocolatier near by! When we arrived, there was a guest asking about the 'demonstrations' and the staff was able to direct her and us about the march going down the street that day. They gave us recommendations of where it was starting and ending and when it should pass by the hotel and where we could go to avoid it if we wished. We had plans not to be around at that time, but were able to have dinner at the corner cafe watching the post-demonstration happenings. The staff was very gracious and helpful no matter our needs! Our room was very small, but in Paris, we feel the intimate quarters is part of the charm! It was clean and fresh and there was even a (tiny) elevator! That's a nice convenience when you've walked the entire day.
Staff was exceptional - friendly and eager to help answer questions, provide directions St. Placide Metro directley across the street, as is the perfect bistro for a quick breakfast of late night snack 15 min walk to Saint Germain or Luxembourg gardens
Helpful staff & lovely room. Small, but that's Paris. Nice breakfast cafe area with plenty of food to choose from. Gorgeous lady helping us with breakfast. Fabulous jugs of nice, strong expresso coffee. Good location for walking & train travel. Clean, lovely room. Would recommend to other visitors.
The Best Western Aramis hotel was a wonderful oasis for my wife and me during our three-night visit to Paris. The room was small, but exceptionally clean, had all the amenities we needed, and was very neatly appointed. The solid air conditioning was seriously appreciated during the heat wave that swept over the city during our stay! The location was great with a slew of restaurants and shops within a short walk and very easy access to the Metro. To top it off, the staff was outstanding... very friendly and helpful.
We stayed here in mid August for a weekend. We were a family of 3 so we booked a triple room. Location was excellent, right across the road from St. Placide Metro station. This meant changing at one station from the airport train. The Rue De Rennes has plenty of shops and restaurants, and there is a Galeries Lafayette at the Tour Montparnasse. Check in was smooth and efficient, the room was perfect for our needs and spotlessly clean. There is a lift to the 5th floor where we stayed but a small stairs to the floor above. (could be awkward for those with large luggage). At all times, staff were very friendly, and courteous, and rooms were cleaned each day. We didn't eat breakfast here, as we felt it was expensive with cheaper alternatives within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good location in Paris, as the metro makes it very accessible to all areas. We would certainly stay here again.
Great location, between Boulevard Saint Germain and Tour Montparnasse. Staff is excellent and always eager to help mad solve problems. Great value for money, ideal for travelers who will only sleep in the hotel and are looking for a good budget selection.
We stayed for 8 nights in 2 doucle rooms. Rooms wereclean and well equipped (kettle, mini bar. Rooms a bit small but was ok and bathroom size was good. The staff were friendly and helpful whether at the reception or breakfast room. The area is very nice with lots of cafes around, starbucks and McDonalds nearby if your kids are into that. Lots of shops around too. It's quite close to tour montparnasse and we walked to notredame (20 min.) There is a hop on hop off bus stop not far away (5 min walking). Metro stop close by but we mainly used uber or hop on hop off bus. I would definitely stay there again.
Small but very clean rooms with tea/coffee facilities (added value). Great central location with two major train stations at less than 5 minutes walk (Rennes station located just across the street). 15 -20 minutes walk to the St Michael Fountain where most of the tours start and to Notre Damme Cathedral. You can also walk to the catacombs from the hotel. Pleasant and helpful staff especially, William who has been a star to us from the time of the booking from Cairo, to check-in and out in less than 5 minutes. William was always willing to help us with how to get around town via underground and never seem to mind if the questions was asked a several times. Thank you William for adding so much value to our trip to Paris.
Pretty nice hotel for travelers who aim to visit Paris. Love the location and the food was nice. Staff may be a bit grouchy at times, but overall, our stay was pretty ok. Would love to come back soon!
A very charming hotel with a lot of old world charm. spiral staircase that went all the way up to top floor and beautiful antique Brass room keys that you leave and pick up at front desk when leaving or entering hotel. The couple that run this family owned hotel are absolutely wonderful along with the rest of staff. We had 2 rooms a double and a triple. Quarters were tight as expected for this rate in Paris. Bathrooms were modern, Beds were exceptionally comfy , room was clean and very quaint. Lift was very small but staircase was fun. Location was excellent with lots to do nearby. There is a wonderful cafe right outside the door with fresh baked croisants . The buses and underground were very close as well. We had very easy access to all the sights in Paris. Wifi was very random worked on and off .
Cosy and clean hotel really close to the Metro. It is also close to a hop-on-hop-off-bus and lots of nice places to walk to and through. Great service, nice breakfast (simple) and I can recommend to anyone. I could see myself returning another time.
Nice spot in Paris-close to the center of everything and very close my first stop, the catacombs. Solid rate. And a comfortable room to boot. The staff have been great so far. The only flaw is a tv that does not work. The hotel bar is lovely.
Travellers should know that the Best Western properties in Europe are way nicer than their US counterparts. I don't know why – but they just are. The Aramis is no exception: great location, terrific service and the rooms spacious by European standards. We did reserve a “superior” room - #35 – but rates are reasonable. We overlooked Vaugirard St. on the “back” side of the hotel which was quieter than the front. Being in the 6th, you have access to a large interesting area of Paris. We walked to Au Comptoir for meals (twice); short walk to Bon Marche and down to the area near the Seine. Also, you are right at a Metro line to access all of Paris. Beds were very comfortable and there is good lighting for reading. Rooms are exceptionally clean with good air circulation. The bathroom had been renovated and are quite large, providing a big tub/shower combination. I do suggest a grab bar to exit the tub because it is dangerous – there is a glass partition which swings in but it doesn't give you enough room to get out of the tub safely. Also, the towel racks are REALLY high. My sister had to stand on the toilet to reach them. Breakfast, an extra charge, is nothing exceptional and costs €15 – small croissants…and a travesty for France, the cheese was processed. But there are many places you can get breakfast outside the hotel. I always carry Starbuck VIAs to have that first cup of coffee to get going.
We stayed here during the euro 2016 tournament, for 6 days. I'll star t by say thing this, based on what it cost us, the type of hotel we needed and the purpose it served we couldn't hve asked for a better located hotel. There is a Metro opposite and it will take you to all the major tourists attractions fairly easily, you can walk to the Eiffel tower / Louvre (we managed it in about 40 minutes, leisurely stroll through the streets. Around the hotel are plenty of shops, café's and restaurants (there is a Thevenin patisserie opposite, well worth it!) there is a supermarket next door which is handy for snacks etc if needed on your travels. On the road the hotel is situated it's basically a shopping high street, behind too and to the left as you walk out. IF you come out of the hotel and turn right walk up you will head to a bring cross road and there are some brilliant restaurants there, well worth exploring. As a location we couldn't have picked a better place, it was far enough from the main city centre so quiet when needed and away from the crowds, however near enough to get to all the places you need to visit. Sacre Coer was 30 mins on the metro if that, The Paris catacombs are a 10 minute walk away. Come out of the hotel and turn left there are more shops and restaurant as you walk. The best way to explore this area is to walk, you will see lots and there is so much to take in. The hotel itself is compact like most in Paris, the room was perfectly fine, we were 3 sharing and it was adequate, we didn't feel cramped at all though perhaps needed a bigger bathroom. The room is well equipped with plenty of mains outlets, a flat screen tv and tea / coffee facilities. The only English speaking channel we found was BBC World so we just plugged out laptop in to it and watched Netflix. The bathroom is designed for one person really but again it was good, clean and tidy. It had a bath with a shower attachment, if anything it would have been good if there was more power in the shower and also a shower curtain, the small glass barrier didn't keep out much water. The lift I a but snug too but its just as easy to take the stairs. We didn't frequent the bar area too much, nor did we have food there so I cant vouch for the quality, my assumption is that it would be perfectly fine. The best thing about the room was that it had windows that opened. It may not seem much but you get the good noise of the streets below, some fresh air and a good view in the mornings. The staff were very friendly and helped with all our requests. Were kind enough to hold out luggage after check out while we went to a few shops and called a taxi to the airport. If you are looking for a well located hotel in terms of Metro links, shopping and places to eat then book this hotel. The hotel is clean, tidy and a pleasure to stay at. I'd stay there again without hesitation. Oh one final tip the restaurant Les Antiquaires is less than 10 minutes walk away, go there, great place to eat! Thanks
I was in Paris for a conference, and wanted somewhere to stay that had easy access to the Expo centre at Porte de Versailles. The St Germaine area looked great, and the hotel had reasonable reviews - so I booked one of the superior rooms for €220 . On arriving I was given one of the rooms on the 6th floor, carrying my briefcase and suitcase up the spiral staircase, as the lift only goes to the 5th floor. I was also somewhat disappointed by the room size, but it was very clean and the wifi was great, so I was happy to accept it for one night. I worked for the afternoon, but was aware that it was getting hotter and hotter, and on turning on the air con, the light was flashing and there was an error message. I photo'd the errors and went to reception to see if it could be fixed. The manager was there but left as I was explaining and the receptionist said he was new and he didn't know what to do. And someone would sort it out the next day. I pointed out that the room was too hot to sleep in, and asked if there was another room. I was offered another room on the 6th floor. When I checked it, it was also hot and had the same errors on the air con. By this time other guests were also in reception complaining. The receptionist then called his colleague and I could hear him explaining that the central control panel had a red light flashing for a whole block of rooms. The colleague said he was coming back to the hotel , so I said I would go out for dinner and hopefully it would be fixed when I got back. It wasn't, and I was told someone would come and look at it in the morning . The room was a sweltering 34 C by this time, and I asked again if there was another room that I could have, to be told no. I explained that I would have to then leave the hotel. It was 10 o'clock at night and I had to start searching for an available hotel room in a foreign city. The second hotel I found said they had a room, so I went back to the Aramis to check out. I packed and carried my suitcase and bags back down the stairs . When I was leaving the receptionist said that as it was after 10pm I could have a room that was reserved for someone else, but as it was so late they probably weren't coming now. Having paid for another room In another hotel I declined. As I was leaving someone else came down to reception to complain about the heat - hopefully he got the now available cool room ! I know problems occur, but a new receptionist that had no idea how to handle problems ( apart from to say someone would deal with it the next day ) and had no way of contacting a manager or getting issues resolved is ridiculous. It's a good job there wasn't a real emergency. However I also felt that expecting customers to just put up with problems is not acceptable so I left. I won't be back ! By the way the Holiday Inn round the corner is lovely and cool and cheaper !
Great hotel in a great location.. Few lines of metro and bus in front of the hotel. Sympathetic staff. Room small but very comfortable. 2 points for improvement: the splashing water in the shower and the very expensive breakfast. But a lot of cheaper and very good options for breakfast around the hotel. Would defiantly return to this hotel...
The hotel has friendly and helpful staff. weekend on the night shift at the front desk had a super sympathetic Brazilian official who helped a lot . They gave good tips of the city and tourist sites. The room has a good size with wifi ,refrigerator and renovated bathroom. Its a small hotel but very cozy. Very good location , near subway, cafes and stores. I recommend the hotel.
If I could live here, I would. The access to the Metro, shops, delicious dining and entertaining walks make it a top favorite. The hotel staff is professional, helpful and responsive. The rooms are clean with comfortable bedding and hot showers. This is a repeat visit for me for all the right reasons.
Best Western Aramis Saint Germain is a lovely little hotel in Montparnasse, rather close to St. Germain des Pres. There are two metro stops very close to the hotel. There are also a number of cafes and restaurants right next to the hotel. This hotel has a small distinctive lobby, with a mixture of contemporary design elements with Parisian flair. The check-in was quick, welcoming, and efficient. They give you those large traditional keys that you are expected to leave at reception when leaving the hotel. Retrieving the key was never delayed or problematic. My room was much larger than expected, so was the bathroom Both were very clean. My room overlooked Rue de Vaugirard, though my reservation called for a room overlooking Rue de Rennes, so this is my only little dissatisfaction with the hotel. Having said that, it was fine, and it was very quiet without any street noise. The free Wi-Fi worked fine. Checkout was quick and uneventful, which is how you want it to be. The receptionist arranged for a taxi to take me to the airport, and the taxi showed up within a couple of minutes. Generally, I found this hotel to be a lovely choice for Paris, and am happy to recommend it to all.
nice hotel in excellent location on the rue de rennes with all its shops, cafes and restaurants and close to montparnasse - room was small but that is usual for paris - modern well equipped bathroom, comfortable
The space is small, but to be expected anywhere in Paris centre. Hotel was clean, easy to find and staff was friendly en very helpful. Metro close by. Lovely restaurants, deli and patisserie on opposite street corners.
I liked this hotel so much last year, that I booked it again this year. As a Best Western Rewards member, I get points here as well. Nice clean room with comfortable beds. I sleep well here. The awkward problem of two beds stuck together was easily solved by moving them apart at an angle. This place has 3 cafés just outside the door and the Saint-Placide metro stop across the street on the corner. A couple blocks down is the Rennes station. We walked to Notre Dame, Saint Sulpice, Luxembourg Gardens and Montparnasse from here. If you walk down Rue Saint Placide it leads you to cool small shops. If I return to Paris, this will be my stop.
The location of this hotel is amazing, metro station is just steps from the door and there is great shopping and restaurants on the same street as the hotel, so location is amazing. It is about a 30 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, and a 7 minute walk from Montparnasse building with the rooftop viewing deck. The hotel is small and lovely, exactly what I expected from Paris. The rooms are recently renovated, with a lovely bathroom. The hotel does have a lift, but it only goes to the fifth floor, we were on the sixth and had to walk up the stairs with luggage, but oh well - it was Paris! The wifi is sketchy, so this is the only item I would complain about that prevented me from giving 5 stars. I highly recommend to anyone travelling to Paris. Great location, helpful staff, and superb hotel at a great price.
Out of their way front desk staff, great central location, minutes away from St-Germain district, Very clean, rooms functional and very clean. close to restaurants shops and local attractions, my 5th stay in 2 yrs.
This hotel is perfectly located in Paris, very close to Montparnasse tower and line 4 of the Subway. We appreciate its size, and are delighted by small but natural & human attention of all staff. To be noted: rumour less! To be visited in Paris
Hotel rooms are TINY. We also had cigarette smoke coming into our room through our 3 night stay and it was difficult to vent it. We heard noises at night, hopefully it was just their heating system and nothing live running through the vents. Other than the location, I do not recommend this hotel.
Great location, close to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. Taxi service was quickly available and inexpensive when we asked the front desk staff for service. The front desk staff went out of their way to offer advice for visiting the local attractions. Rooms were clean and functional, slightly small, but typical for large European city hotels.
Hotel was in good location. Room was clean and the staff very friendly. As stated before the rooms were not huge but we knew that was going to be the case for a city hotel. We stayed for four nights and would happily recommend the hotel to others.
My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights, it was close to everything walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. We walked everywhere from there. Some nice little eateries around and we found a Starbucks not far from there. It was nest & tidy.
Hotels in paris are notoriously small for what you pay. That being said, whilst your room was certainly cosy for a friend and I who were sharing, for a two night trip it was perfect. If you like a bit more space then perhaps opt for a larger suite. Our room windows opened onto the side street behind the front of the hotel - luckily this was set back so we weren't disturbed by noise (although we had drank a lot of wine so perhaps this helped us to zonk out!). The beds are very comfortable and shower is great also. Make sure you close the curtains though as you can see straight across into other apartments. Next door is cAFE d'UNION which is great for a quick bite or a glass of wine if you arrive around lunch time and want to go to the closest place. Behind the hotel there is a number of side streets with interesting shops and little wine and cheese bars. We sat at a great bar called Le Vin En Bouche for hours and ate Fois Gras and drank red wine until dark. The man running it was incredibly friendly and discussed the different wines with us with good sense of humour. It's very small and around dusk filled up quickly, so if there is no space, you can head to a number of others further down the road which were also busy an full of Parisian atmosphere. The hotel is very close to all transport - you can order a taxi from reception or jump on the train which goes pretty much everywhere. You are also walking distance to St. German/Citi/Museum Louvre and you have a number of high street shops on your doorstep like H&M. Highly recommend doing a Paris bike tour also - a great way to see the sights and learn about the history of Paris.
My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 3 days. The hotel is in a very good location and easily accessible by metro. There are a lot of cafe's and restaurants within walking distance. It is more of a boutique style hotel. Rooms are very small and there was very less space to move around. The hotel is good for business travellers. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They provide airport shuttle service for a discounted rate and I would recommend taking that as a taxi will cost you easily 51 plus euros from the hotel.
Less than 48 hours in Paris and I used up a few getting to and from this hotel in order to repeat a pleasant experience here. A warm greeting upon arrival with efficient check-in and check-out processes, a clean and comfortable bed, neighborhood options that are fun and no pressure to overspend. The Metro practically at the doorstep, interesting shopping nearby and tempting markets all make this my favorite place to stay. Anywhere in Europe. Like any city, rules for street smarts apply. However, I can say that I have never felt safer in Paris. Security is obvious and abundant in this neighborhood and many others. I recommend.
We arrived in Paris late at night, around 1am. We had already booked and prepaid our stay in Paris, we were to be staying at a hotel down the street called Hotel Perreyve. When we arrived, Hotel Perryve was closed, and locked. It was 1am, cold, raining, and we had no idea what to do or where to go. We were in a foreign country, so we had no wifi or phone service. Luckily we had remembered seeing the Best Western on the drive in, so we walked down there. The person working the front desk, Josef, was the best part of our whole evening. He was accommodating, tried calling our hotel for us, and provided such great hospitality to us. This hotel is very lucky to have him as an employee! We took a room from them, and now I wish our whole stay could have been there. It was a nice, clean room, great location, and had a charming feel to it. Thanks again to the wonderful Josef!
When in Paris on business, I usually choose from one of the many Best Western hotels across the city. I find that they offer consistent quality and excellent value for money, while each hotel retains its individual touch, contrary to certain chains such as Ibis which all seem to be copycats of each other. The Aramis Saint Germain is a perfect example: it is ideally located next to various means of public transport, but also within walking distance to several sights, plenty of pubs and restaurants, and shopping venues (don't miss the Bon Marché department store). The hotel is in perfect condition, obviously recently renovated. The rooms are not big, but that is simply the norm in central Paris at this price level. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom spotless, and there is a desk should you need to finish some work. Wifi connectivity is excellent and free of charge, but that is to be expected nowadays. My only complaint is that the TV is rather small, and does not carry many channels (no BBC), but you hardly come to Paris to watch the telly. The staff were all very friendly and make you feel welcome, although being on a short stay I did not require any particular services or help. The hotel offers a somewhat limited continental breakfast at an additional cost, but if you feel it is not worth the expense there are plenty of 'boulangeries' close by for a fresh croissant. In any case I recommend the hotel, both for business and tourism.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Great location right opposite metro station and short walk to bus stops. If you are keen the Eiffel tower is within good walking distance (we did it). We found the staff to be extremely pleasant, understanding and very helpful. Yes the rooms and lift are small, but I would expect that anywhere in Paris and don't see this is any real negative. Our room Was quite warm, but I'm not about to complain about that when people are freezing sleeping in the streets not far away. We just opened a window for a while.
The staff was accommodating, friendly & spoke good English. The breakfast was a perfect start to our day. While the room was a bit small which is typical of rooms in Paris, it was clean & charming. We had a balcony & enjoyed the view & fresh air on the 5th floor. Thank you Hotel Aramis for making our stay in Paris so wonderful. We would definitely return to this hotel. The location is perfect. A special thank you to William & Paola.
The room was small, but clean and well maintained. The location was very convenient to the major tourist sites of the city. Tour bus, taxi and subway transportation services were easy to access. The shoping and restaurants in the immediate area were super and easy to walk to. We were quite pleased on our selection of this hotel and the location in the city.
We chose this hotel for its perfect location in St Germain de pres. We were pleased with everything about it, great shopping close by, nice restaurants and happy hours spots, clean rooms, helpful staff. With all the choices in Paris, we are so happy we chose this spot. We will be back.
Getting to the hotel is really easy. The metro station St Placide is right outside the hotel and has a direct line from Gare du Nord (arrival of Eurostar) plus Gare Montparnasse is only a 10 minute walk away. The Luxembourg Gardens are also within an easy 10 minute walk as is St Germain des Pres and the Latin Quarter is approx 20 mins. I travel to Britanny most summers and always stay a night each way in Paris, as I travel from Montparnasse station, I always try and stay within walking distance of the station hence selecting this hotel. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly a male receptionist who, also spoke good English, the lobby is quite small but still had a seating area and felt warm and welcoming. I was traveling with a friend and we had two single rooms booked, mine was on the second floor. The hotel has lifts ( very small with room for one person plus suitcase). Inline with the majority of Parisienne hotels the room was very small. Mine had a double bed and little room for anything else, I had the room as single occupancy but I gues if there are two of you with a suitcase each it could be a struggle. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary bottle of water, air conditioning and felt very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely, the bath had a jacuzzi and felt very airy and light. The hotel also offers free Wifi. I was worried about noise as the hotel is on a busy boulevard but I could not hear a thing and had a great night of sleep. We were booked on room only so opted to have breakfast in the cafe opposite, which at around 5 euros for a coffee and a croissant was really good value for Parisienne standards. We paid approx £70 per room booked on Expedia and I consider this exceptional value for money and would definitly consider staying there again
This hotel and their staff are so wonderful, I consider it a reason to visit Paris again. The interesting neighborhood, easy Metro access and French charm make it a top favorite. The front desk and restaurant staff members are thoughtful, guest centered and professional. Clean, quiet rooms with optional breakfast on-site add to the goal of relaxation. Logic suggests that I try other hotels to maximize learning about the city. Mai non! I like this one way too much to give it up.
I understand how fantastic the location is, however I fail to see how being offered a tiny tiny room with a view into a dark stairwell is worth €200 a night. I'm converted to Air Bnb now where you pay €80 for one night in a whole apartment! We had to add one night onto our travel so I did the latter and the difference between the two was ridiculous. Realising we didn't want to stay in the dark room I kindly asked the lady on reception to relocate us and she was extremely rude. "Oh you want a room that looks onto the street". I explained I didn't mind I just wanted one that had light coming in not the current view (as shown in picture). So she charge us and extra €20 a night for a room with a view. If you are staying for location then it's probably great for the money but if you want some character and a bit of room is advise air bnb!!
We stayed for 13 nights at the hotel. It was small, clean and in a good location. Although not close to central Paris, it is very close to the Metro, about two long blocks. The neighborhood has a market, pastry shop, butcher with cooked meats and chicken, all of which allowed us to help keep the cost of food down. We made use of the small kitchen in the room for light meals. Our room was very small and there was not enough room for the luggage. We had to step over it. Perhaps if we were lighter packers it would not be a problem. My only advice is not believe the website that says they bring a breakfast to your room. That is an additional cost and it is very basic. I would stay there again because of the staff, cleanliness and value.
The Hotel is very clean, well located, is in front of a Metro Station, close to the Bon Marche, Jardin de Luxemburg, Tour de Montparnasse and 10 minutes walking to Sain German des Pres. The room has a good space for european standart, there is a coffe maker and the bathroom has a good shower with hot water with good pressure. The staff is very nice and i the price was good because i made my reservation from the Hotel website. I really recomend !
Spent 2 nights at this hotel. Great location, 2 steps away from metro. Staff really nice, professional. The room was small, but that was not a surprise. The room is spotless, bed is comfortable, bathroom is nice. This is a hotel where you go to sleep during your visit. I would come back to this hotel.
This is my second time staying at the Hotel Aramis and I cannot rave about it enough. The room we had on this visit was updated recently - paint and finishes, new (amazing) mattresses and bathroom. It is clean, quiet and comfortable. The desk staff are friendly and happy to assist. The neighbourhood is my favourite in all of Paris. But, the price? Wow. This place is an incredible value for what you pay. I couldn't actually imagine staying anywhere else! I can't wait to return.
The locación is very good, the people is nice, the hotel is pretty small, the room was really really small, in sixth floor and the elevator get just to the fifth. Breakfast available but expensive for what you get. I would say that is almost fair for what you pay, but in Paris hotels are quite expensive, and this one is not an exception.
I stayed in this hotel for 1 night on the weekend of the tour de France. We arrived on a Saturday after touring for awhile in Paris. The maps make it look like it is only 4 blocks from the Seine River when in actually it is about 25 blocks away. When we arrived the rooms were ready but the girl behind the desk was too busy laughing with someone on the phone ( a friend because I could understand some of what she was saying) then taking care of the "Americans". We dropped our stuff off in the rooms and went back out to tour and look around. When we returned at night, My wife and my room was hot and uncomfortable. I turned on the A/C and 30 mins. later the A/C turned off. I turned it on again and it shut off 20mins. later. I went down to the desk to tell the clerk and he said to "Be patient it takes about 30 mins." I went back up and turned it on again. 20 mins later, it was off again. I turned it on again and went down to tell the desk when I found out the Clerk was turning it off ! When I confronted him, he told me it was making him cold. I thought the customer came first. The next morning I asked to speak to speak with the manager and all I got was a run around. SCREW PARIS !! Also, Paris is loaded with pickpockets and THIEVES !! I WILL NEVER GO BACK !! Go to the Hotel Messina in the Madeline section !! This hotel will be reviewed as well
We stayed here for a week in July and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and spoke English which was very helpful. We were glad to find out they had a lift when we got a room on the top floor! The room was clean, and the bathroom was actually pretty spacious all things considered! Rooms are small when compared to hotels in the US, but that is to be expected and was plenty of room for two people. And as a bonus, we really enjoyed the small balcony overlooking the street outside our window. The bed was very comfortable and the room very quiet. Other than a few doors opening/closing, we could not hear anyone else in the hotel. The location is fantastic. There is a metro stop across the street from the entrance, which makes a huge difference! This hotel seems to be in a less "touristy" area which was very nice. After a long day, it was nice to get away from the crowded areas and into what seemed like more of a regular neighborhood. That being said, there are still many great activities within walking distance: the Luxembourg Gardens, Church of Saint-Sulpice, great shopping, ect. We even walked home from the Eiffel Tower one night. Everyone we met working there was very helpful and friendly. Our only issue was not being able to communicate with the maid, but that is our fault for not speaking French well! Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Paris
We've now stayed here three times and I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Paris! Excellent value, exceptional staff, and perfect location. The rooms are always spotless. The Metro is just outside the door, but you are also withing fairly easy walking distance of many landmarks. Plenty of good restaurants close by.
This hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of the Montparnasse Train Station, within a couple of blocks of the Grand Episserie at the Bon Marche, across the street from a Metro station and surrounded by restaurants and cafes. The staff are very customer service oriented and the room was spotlessly clean. The only downside was the size of the standard room - too small for 2 people so check into booking a larger room if you need to spend any significant time in it instead of enjoying Paris.
Excellent location, clean room and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The metro station across from the hotel makes everything in Paris accessible. A/C and Internet works well! Great places to shop and eat around.
Near Montparnasse off St Germain. Small hotel and rooms, but very nice, clean and close enough to walk or Metro anywhere. Staff extremely helpful. would definitely stay there again. Regarding Metro -- there is one directly across the street that takes you anywhere you want to go. The Rue de Rennes is fairly busy but not obnoxious and there are great restaurants and cafes up and down the street.
Hotel is in a nice location with lots of shops and restaurants in the area. Also, very clos to the metro. Only one stop to get to CDG airport. I forgot my voltage adapter and the staff was very helpful and let me use one of the hotels.
Nice place to stay. Easy to travel from. Underground parking in the vicinity. Good shops around. Small but clean rooms. Friendly personnel. Breakfast could be better. No Russian TV channels. Fast and reliable WiFi internet access.
Enjoyed this hotel, great location close to main tourist sites, metro station across the street restaurants and shops ALL around. Felt safe as well. The staff was multi lingual and since we don't speak French that made us feel at ease. They were also very helpful, they arranged a taxi for us to take to the airport for our return trip. The hotel was comfortable and clean. I will definitely consider this hotel on my next trip to Paris ;)
Old building renovated just right. 6th floor rooms over the Rue de Rennes are wonderful. Need to walk the last flight up which is cool. Bed and sheets super comfortable. Across street from Saint-Placide on LIne 4 - almost perfect location to get anywhere on the Metro. You can do your own laundry 3 blocks away, great for one stays. I will stay here again for sure. Internet slow at night.
For our first trip to Paris, we booked two rooms in Aramis, St. Germain. Firstly, the area is lovely and crucial; there is easy metro access, it is charming and clean while also being in the midst of various cafes and shops (perfect for people watching), but not touristy (so a nice place to return after a day of touring the city). The hotel itself was just what we needed. Rooms are small, but that is expected in Paris. They are clean and bathrooms are recently redone. Wifi access was key since my cell phone data and roaming were turned off because we were traveling internationally. The front desk staff was always helpful, pleasant, and attentive, which was key to the success of our stay since it was our first time in Paris. Be sure to negotiate a breakfast deal, the breakfast staff and options are perfect before the start of a long day of being out and about. I would definitely stay here again, or recommend to anyone.
Spent 6 nights in this hotel. First, the staff was wonderful, helpful with their suggestions for restaurants, travel tips, even with printing boarding passes for return home! The location is great. Metro in front,ATM across the street, great neighborhood .Shops, restaurants & easy walking distance to many sights. Room was spotless and quiet, even with neighbors next door. Beds very comfortable. 2 breakfast types (small & large) give you choice. My daughter & I bought one of each and combined them for what we felt was a very good size breakfast between us. Having breakfast at hotel was useful on days we wanted to get out sightseeing quickly. If you want, there are many other options close by. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Our room was petite but we didn't want anything bigger. It was perfect for us. The hotel has larger room options. What made the hotel special (besides location, cleanliness, comfort etc.) was the staff. I would return to this hotel without hesitation.
