Description

Chicago's West Loop has grown into one of the city's most sought-after neighborhoods, a former meatpacking district now full of acclaimed restaurants, galleries, and the crowds bound for the United Center. Hotel Chicago West Loop, SureStay Collection by Best Western, makes a comfortable base in Chicago, Illinois, close to Fulton Market, the United Center, the Loop's theaters and museums, and the trains downtown. Among the restaurants and galleries of West Loop's Fulton Market, the hotel puts downtown Chicago close. The rooms have a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi, a fitness room is on hand, and the city's trains run a few blocks away. Fulton Market, once Chicago's meatpacking row, now lines up some of the city's most acclaimed restaurants and galleries. Loop museums and Fulton Market dining, the arena, and the lakefront all sit close by. Settle in and let the West Loop set the pace.

"Fraud Alert"
Mark S, 22 Septembre 2026

Fraud alert! Dharmesh Patel, the manager, knowingly and intentionally accepted payment for reservations and then directed desk staff to turn guests away when they tried to check in due to housekeeping issues. This review is after several attempts to get a refund issued, but Dharmesh won't respond to messages or emails. This is fraud and theft. Beware of prepay.

Owner Response, 22 Septembre 2026

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take concerns regarding reservations and payments very seriously, and we are sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced. We would, however, like to clarify that Dharmesh Patel is not a manager at our hotel. Based on the information provided in your review, we would like the opportunity to look further into your reservation and determine exactly what occurred. We encourage you to contact the hotel directly and ask to speak with management so that we can review your reservation details, payment information, and any previous communication regarding a refund. If the reservation is associated with our property, we will be happy to investigate the matter and provide clarification regarding its status. We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention and welcome the opportunity to better understand and address the situation. Hotel Management

"Perfect location for a United Center concert"
Alexander R, 15 Septembre 2026

We had an incredible weekend stay at this hotel while in town for a concert at the United Center! The location could not be better since it is literally an easy five-minute walk right around the corner from the venue. As dog owners, we also loved how welcoming and accommodating the staff was to pets. Our room was nicely appointed, spotless, and wonderfully quiet, which made for the best night of sleep after a long night out. Finding a place so close to downtown with convenient on-site parking at such a reasonable price was a very unique find in Chicago. Everything about our stay was absolutly wonderful, and we will definitely be booking here again the next time we catch a show in town!

Owner Response, 15 Septembre 2026

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had such an enjoyable weekend with us and that our location made your visit to the United Center even more convenient. It's especially great to hear that you and your four-legged companion felt welcomed by our team and that your room was clean, comfortable, and quiet after a fun night out. We truly appreciate your kind words about our staff and property. We loved having you as our guest and look forward to welcoming you back the next time a concert brings you to Chicago! Warm regards, Hotel Management

"Convenient, Pet-Friendly Stay Just Steps from the United Center"
Debra G, 15 Juillet 2026

Stayed here as it was conveniently located to the United Center where we went for a concert. It is literally around the corner and an easy 5 minute or less walk. It was a dog friendly hotel that was very accommodating to its guests. Although it is an older hotel, it is very nicely appointed. The elevator is tiny and it takes a while, so it is better to take the stairs most of the time. The room was very comfortable and quiet all around. Parking was on the lot next to it, but it is better to get there early so you can get a spot. It was a decent price for a downtown hotel near a concert venue. It had comfortable, clean rooms.

Owner Response, 15 Juillet 2026

Thank you for the wonderful 5-star review! We're so glad our location made your concert visit to the United Center convenient and that you enjoyed a comfortable, quiet, and clean stay with us. We're also happy to hear that you appreciated our pet-friendly accommodations and found our team welcoming. Thank you as well for sharing your feedback regarding the elevator and parking availability. We appreciate your helpful comments and are always looking for ways to improve our guests' experience. We hope you had an amazing time at the concert, and we'd love to welcome you (and your four-legged companion!) back the next time you're in Chicago! Warm regards, Hotel Management

"Worst experience ever🤦‍♂️"
Diamond J, 03 Juin 2026

Worst hotel ever, very bad smell coming from the lobby, hallway and elevator. Sheets were not fully clean. They re-use blankets without washing for months. Constant findings of bedbugs in certain rooms. Inappropriate soliciting coming constantly from the assistant manager onto guest and bus drivers.. managers are never on duty. I wouldn't recommend my dog to stay here. There are rats in the building, don't recommend to use the coffee machine because rats has been in all of the supply for the machine. Sleep there at your own risk. ⚠️

Owner Response, 03 Juin 2026

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We are very troubled by the experience described in your review, as the allegations raised do not reflect the standards we expect for our property or team. We take matters involving cleanliness, pest concerns, and employee conduct very seriously. We have procedures in place for addressing and documenting concerns when they are reported, and feedback of this nature is taken seriously and reviewed appropriately by our management team. Guest safety, cleanliness, and professional conduct remain important priorities for our hotel, and we are committed to maintaining a welcoming and comfortable environment for all of our guests. "Just SO SO"
LiaAloi, 11 Novembre 2025

We stayed at this hotel because some of our family had booked this spot. I thought I had booked a room with 2 beds, but was told I did not. The room was small as was the bed, and that would have been okay if it wasn't dirty. At first glance, it was fine, but the baseboards really needed a cleaning as did the outside of our shower. When we turned on the ceiling fan, I sneezed about 15 times. The worst part was the smell. I am not sure if Marijauna is legal in Illinois, but the smell permeated throughout the hotel. Our room was across from one of the areas where the cleaning staff refilled their carts. The smell really was strongest around there. The front desk staff were lovely though and very helpful. I am not sure I would book a stay again.

"Convenient and comfortable hotel"
Johnson B, 20 Septembre 2025

The QPR is unbeatable for Chicago and coupled with its proximity to the United Center for concerts or games it can't be beat. Easy walking distance to direct bus lines into the city proper as well as to Union Station. Very cute, but ample breakfast bar and free afternoon cookies. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Close to some good local Mexican restaurants and sports bars. Spent three nights here.

"Hotel Chicago - West Loop - No Complaints"
Emily M, 12 Septembre 2025

Nothing to really complain about. Rooms are very small. LVP flooring so no carpet. It's definitely an older building that has been remodeled. Floors and walls are fairly thin. Carpet could have been vacuumed more (there was dirt/small pieces of trash in the same spot every day of my 4 night stay). I did like the secure entry (you have to use your key card to enter the building). When first arriving, you just push a call button and the front desk will let you in. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was stocked and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Had a mini fridge, microwave and a Keurig. Would choose to stay here again if the options closer to my office are not available.

"Dishonest hotel"

Hotel is not honest about forced fees. The price promised will not be close to the actual cost. Just beware and ask for total cost in writing

"Walking distance to United Center"
Jean T, 11 Août 2025

Stayed here for 1 night when we were in town for a concert at United Center. Our full sized bedroom (1st floor) was very small but it did have all that we needed-microwave, small fridge and a clean comfortable bed. A big plus for me was that the room had hard flooring. It felt so much cleaner with it. The bathroom was quite small. There was a large wall mirror on one side of the room and that helped make the room feel bigger. The toiletries were a nice product. The door to our room didn't close properly. We had to pull hard to make sure our door was closed and locked. This would be one of my concerns if I had an extended stay and wanted housekeeping services. I just wouldn't be sure that they would fully close the door behind them. The bathroom door also didn't close properly because the top hinge was not properly attached and caused the door to lean so we couldn't fully close the bathroom door. We briefly walked into the fitness room and it's super compact but did have some equipments. I woke up around 3am to the smell of smoke and weed…not very pleasant. There were 2 small complimentary bottles of water in the room which we appreciated. There weren't many options to eat. It was a quick walk to United Center. I will say I felt very cautious about where we walked afterwards. Thankfully there were other people walking in the same direction. Although I didn't need to use the parking lot (we ended up flying in), I did look into backup parking in case their lot was full because there's not many spaces. There is a parking ramp next door but if you do park there keep in mind of their business hours and if you need to park overnight you do have to take some additional steps which is posted on a sign. The ramp does close on Sundays so you won't be able to leave. Another big plus to this hotel that I appreciated is that the front door is locked and will be opened by front desk or your key card! I'd stay here again for another event at United Center for the convenience.

"You get what you pay for"
Christine K, 11 Août 2025

Pros: good location to the Blue Line, walking distance to the United Center. Rooms were accommodating; fridge, microwave and coffee. Staff was helpful. Cons: small rooms (but what do you expect from an old building?), tiny gym, breakfast was snacks, oatmeal packs and fruit cups. There are very few food options around - you have to walk a bit to find anything beyond one tavern and one Mexican joint. Parking is basically a private garage next door; I paid $37 for overnight. Not my favorite hotel in Chicago, but it was a functional stay for one night to see a concert at United Center. Next visit I'll probably pay a bit more for a little more space and fluff.

"Go somewhere else!"
Debbie P, 09 Août 2025

The staff was very friendly, but the hotel left much to be desired. The rooms are tiny, tiny tiny more like a college dormitory. There was about 2 feet to walk around the bed. There is really no place to sit other than the bed- The bathrooms are minimal, sink, toilet, super small shower, with no counter space. Worst of all, there's no Wi-Fi in the rooms. They tell you to bring your device down to the lobby to connect, but when you get to your room, it's gone. Everything appears clean, but when you take off your shoes, you'll stick to the floor. Definitely not coming back.

"Bug Hotel Hell"
Drew B, 24 Juillet 2025

We stayed at this location this past weekend. There were thousands of bugs on the bed/floor/bathroom. The hotel did not have another room available so we were given bug spray to try and kill all of them and also offered half our money back. They have processed the full payment and will not return phone calls or emails in regards to the refund. Do not stay at this place. Its nasty and the managers do not car at all.

"Very dissatisfied , disappointed and angry with cleaning, rooms and responses!"
Journey824982, 31 Mai 2025

This is definitely not a place you want to stay when they clean your room once in two days! Imagine having to deal with an unclean bathroom, towels not cleared and the room not swept. Very poor in response and cleanliness! And all this when there is a large imp conference in town- you will think that they would up their standards! Also the rooms are super tiny! Don't forget they offer only BF snacks and not BF for this price!

"Okay hotel"
Ella S, 31 Mai 2025

The hotel was okay, the bathroom was pretty dirty and not kept up with. I was told it was $25 to park in their parking lot for the entire stay, then I was charged for $25 per night for parking. I called and they said it is $25 per night, but when I asked at the front desk another employee told me $25 total.

"Vraiment bien !"
Line G, 10 Décembre 2024

Very well located place, near the subway and the united center, very soundproofed room and helpful and smiling staff, I recommend,It is certain that if I go back to Chicago I will go back to this Hotel very easy to orient and be able to visit this beautiful Chicago...Go ahead, you will be charmed

"Great hotel but parking awful"
Amanda s, 03 Décembre 2024

Hotel was amazing but parking situation was awful. They sell out and we checked in at 4 and was told we had to find other parking. Ended up paying $65 a night to park somewhere other than outside the hotel. So heads up before you come call and see if they have a spot available (not free).

"Loved it."
dnta, 05 Novembre 2024

Overall I was very happy with this small hotel! I loved the art on the walls and my room was clean and comfy. Nice TV, climate control worked fine. Lots of electronic hook ups, etc. The entire staff was friendly and kind. I have offered them two suggestions 1. that they be more clear when people are searching that the on-site parking option is LIMITED, and FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED, and that they offer some FLATTER sleeping pillows as ALL of theirs are EXTREMELY FAT. BUT AGAIN, OVERALL THIS PLACE IS GREAT! I do highly recommend it!!
