« Nice Room, Helpful Staff »

We stayed at the Best Western Pembina Inn and Suites while in Winniipeg visiting family on Mother's day weekend. The checkin was quick and efficient, the room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The beds were really comfortable and easy to sleep on. The usual consumables were provided. along with a hair dryer. The breakfast was wonderful and included hot foods, scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausages, make your own waffles, yogurt, fruit, muffins cereal, etc. It was very busy when we were there and the hotel opened 2 extra rooms with tables off the lobby area so that everyone had a place to sit. The food at the breakfast was always kept full so that everything was always available. We had an issue with extreme noise coming from the room above us and the when the front desk was notified it was immediately dealt with. It did start up again a little later and again the front desk people again acted immediately and effectively. All staff was extremely professional and competent. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

    « Luxury At Prairie's Edge »

Staff, location and amenities are perfect for our needs. Couple of things that BW Plus needs to fix: 1.) When we asked about a shuttle to the airport we were told no problem but when it came to the evening before our time to leave the next day we were told you needed 48 hours notice because of staffing. This is not acceptable. 2.) A bus with a load of people was parked out front with running motor for twenty minutes. The fumes came into our room- which was on the fourth floor, which is also something that needs addressing.

    « Great Hotel »

This hotel is clean and inviting. The room was very comfortable with a good selection of TV channels during my down time. It is also located right on the river which was nice for a walk to unwind. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Winnipeg area.

    « good stay »

Everything was wonderful. Helpful staff, and nice room. There was many good restaurants around. close to the university and hospital. Airport shuttle also helpful too, nice van and easy to figure out which one is from your hotel.

With out a doubt the best most friendly group of people work at this hotel. Picked us up at international air port saving a $40 taxi ride and took us back to airport as well. The breakfast meal is quite amazing. More than enough items and all quality product. we were sick and the staff paid extra attention to make sure we were ok. an all round excellant four days at this very well managed Best Western Hotel.

    « Love this place »

I highly recommend this place. Location is great as is the price. Breakfast is top notch. They have a hot tub, pool and waterside. The serve free soup and snacks in the evening. The staff is amazing. I've stayed many times and always had a fantastic stay .

    « highly recommended »

Clean comfortable rooms with great beds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you are flying in make sure you book shuttle service before you arrive. They need 48 hr. notice. Even though there were sports teams staying the same time we were, it wasn't disruptive at all.

« Really nice experience - would stay again »

The hotel staff was very nice. The room was comfortable - super clean and no 'cleaning' smell, and we stayed with a pet. If we are lucky enough to visit Winnipeg again we will stay here again. The breakfast seemed very nice- eggs, potatoes, waffles, meat, fresh fruit, lots of cereal, bagels etc. Probably regular but very well stocked and displayed. We don't stay at hotels very often but they had hot tea and coffee available all of the time which was perfect for us. They kept it super clean! And one evening they had soup and chips with salsa and veggies. Not sure if that is a regular thing but if we hadn't already scoped out restaurants we would have taken advantage of that option.

    « Spa weekend »

I stayed at this best western plus because I've stayed at their hotels in the past & they are always pleasant & clean. Luxury at a lower cost. It was also close to the thermea spa we went to, which made the trip convenient.

    « Very welcoming »

Beginning with the friendliness of the desk staff, its a comfortable, relaxing stop away from the stress of travelling. This is always our first choice in the city. The staff makes one feel like you are an old friend.

    « Great hotel! »

Great place to stay with a wonderful hot breakfast. Kids liked the pool and hot tub, beds were comfy, rooms clean. Would definitely recommend for others to stay here. Very close and convenient to other prominent locations in Winnipeg.

    « Birthday »

The staff was excellent. Linda went out of her way to accommodate our larger group and find us a room where we could visit and play games all evening long. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was fantastic and the staff is very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

    « Always a pleasant stay! »

Wonder staff, great breakfast and a pool for the kids- what more could you need? Wifi? Check! Restaurant right next door? Check! (It even serves chicken fingers for the kids!) This is one of my personal favourite places to stay in Winnipeg- if you're travelling with family, this is the place to stay.

    « Delightful! »

Complimentary breakfast was the highlight of our stay. They had a wonderful selection of hot (eggs, hash browns, sausage, waffles) and regular options of fruit, muffins, toast, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt & toppings. The coffee was also really good! We loved the fact that they had real plates & cutlery instead of the disposable kind. We spent some time in the pool & hot tub, very nice although the tiles in pool area were really slippery. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean! Beds & pillows were really comfortable. Would stay here in the future!

    « Amazing customer service »

We stayed at the hotel for around 5 days in September. I was traveling by myself with my 3 month old and 2 year old to visit my husband. Breakfast and daily snacks were probably the best we have ever had that were complementary. The day we were flying out I had asked what we could do before they shuttled my daughters and I back to the airport. They suggested some nice walking paths and a great little cafe to eat at. They even extended my checkout time to 1 so it would coincide with my flight home. As I was heading down stairs to go the the cafe, one of the men working asked if he could pick us up some sandwiches for lunch so we didn't have to go out. This was so nice of him to do I will never forget it! We politely declined as I wanted to walk before we headed to the airport. When we arrived back at the hotel from lunch the manager (I think) looked after the girls so I could run into the washroom. Thank you so much for the stress-free stay! We will definitely be back.

« Overnight stay in Winnipeg »

We stayed overnight with three young children. The room seemed nice and clean which is important to me especially with children! The breakfast had a great variety of foods and the waffle maker for making 4 small waffles in one iron was a hit!

« Well kept, clean hotel, in great location, »

This hotel is right on Pembina, and easy to get to. Clean, and well kept with attentive staff. An appetizing, well maintained breakfast bar. My room had both iron and ironing board, fridge. Parking. The pool isn't very large but the slide is fun, large windows provided well needed poolside sunlight. Starbucks, Pizza Pizza, and Pony Corral restaurant right next door.

    « Best Experience ever »

From the kindness of Sveta at check in to store my luggage and speed up my check in to soup and snacks as well as breakfast everyday. This hotel was an incredible experience. As a frequent business traveller I stay on a lot of BW properties. This is among my favorite. Have already booked for my next trip to Winnipeg.

« Hidden gem for sports teams »

Our ringette team (14 families) travelled to Winnipeg for a tournament in late January. Let me start by saying that we have stayed in a lot of hotels with ringette through the years and this one was one of the best for a few reasons: 1) The group booking process was easy, the person who handled our booking was personable and accommodating. The price point for our group booking was also very affordable. 2) The hotel booked our families on the same floor in close proximity to each other. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. 3) The free breakfast was very good and plentiful. I was told that the weekday evening snacks were awesome as well, although we missed those with our group. 4) The hotel owner/manager went out of his way to accommodate our big group so we could have a space to eat our meals together. Although the breakfast room was available to us, he offered us a larger space in one of the boardrooms so we could spread out for our lunch and supper meals. I have to add that there were renovations going on in the boardroom at the time, but they managed to get it done and cleaned up so we could use it. The renovations did not affect our stay whatsoever. 5) We did not use the pool, but it looked like lots of fun with ample seating for parents to supervise their kids. This hotel was in a good location for us, close enough to the Southdale arena where our team played and relatively close to The Forks where we visited on two occasions during our stay. It is not fancy, but it did check all the boxes for us. In summary, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable, clean, and comfortable place to stay where the staff are both friendly and helpful.

    « Birthday bomb »

While renting the room I said it was for a birthday party for my daughter. Since she wanted to go to the beach for her birthday when I got here, they told me her friends could not go swimming. So then they told me it would be an extra charge for them to go in and they can only go for half an hour, even though I was paying for them to go into the pool. It was a very upsetting start to the day. Also, the pool is very small.

    3
« Typical budget hotel with some nice touches »

This hotel will be quite nice once they complete renovations, however, until completed 3 stars is being generous based on this stay. We have stayed twice in two weeks. Parking is a nightmare and lacking lighting. Handicapped parking is nonexistent 4 spots out of about 100-really! Most of the parking is down a slope making accessibility questionable for those with mobility issues. The room we used for the second time this month was just renovated however, housekeeping had clearly not changed the one bed as two long hairs were found in the sheets. Very disappointing based on their TripAdvisor award! Bonus, having a great selection of breakfast foods and having soup through the day makes this the place to stay for family affordability.

    « Best wester experience »

Great place to stay. I've stayed a couple times in the past..the place is nice good air and you are surrounded by restaurants and stores for The traveling needs you need on a trip. Was there on a snowy day. Came out in the morning and staff had my car nice and clean by blowing the snow off.

    « Christmas stay-cation! »

I take my two kids to a hotel every January before they go back to school. We have done this for 4 years now! This stay was very good, we all got an excellent sleep...I'm not sure if they changed the mattresses but it was super comfortable! We also tried a restaurant on Pembina that we had never tried before and that was great too! (Nicolino's)

    5
    « Very Good! »

This Best Western is my go to hotel when I stay over nights in Winnipeg. Two thumbs up! Good service clean and for good value. Speedy check in and very friendly service! Good for all types of trips. Business, Family, Friends and solo. Great location.

    « Weekend get away »

We didn't have any issues. We have always liked this hotel and stayed there many times. I would like to see this hotel have family rooms. We had to get 2 rooms as we have 4 kids. I was able to us my points for one room and paid for the other.

    « Affordable & Quality »

I love this hotel. The location is great. Free parking, convenient access to restaurants and shopping. The hotel is always clean. The staff helpful and consistent. I love the pool, especially that they don't use chlorine and the water slide is so much fun. There is a fitness room and the breakfast is hot with lots of options even for vegetarians. I usually bring my dog and they give her a comfy welcome packet. This place treats you with respect and care about your business with an affordable price.

    3
    « Unspectacular »

Hotel was quite nice, but pool area was very cold. So much so that our kids did not want to stay. Breakfast was relatively mediocre - not on par with other Best Western+ hotels we have stayed at. Baked goods were stale / hard and there were not many choices for vegetarians.

    5
    « Best Experience/ Super Quaility »

As a couple, had grand children visit us The quality of stay was Exceptional Lay out very handy- from pool. to eating area, and t wash rooms. parking options of many Very helpful staff go out of way to help Of many chains we travel and stay at, rate one of best in Winnipeg.

« Best Western Plus Pembina Inn and Suites »

This was a great place to stay. The staff was great and the rooms were very clean, quiet and very comfortable. The hotel offers a convenient location to the nearby amenities and provides easy access to the highway as well as the airport which is only minutes away. The breakfast provided in the morning was more than adequate to see you on your way. Definitely will stay here again.

« Great Place to Stay! »

Really friendly staff and very clean place. We enjoyed our suite for it was very spacious and we enjoy the extra comfort of having a large shower and tub space. We would recommend this place 100%. Thank you, Gord & Crystal

    5
    « good value »

Modern décor, clean, friendly staff, convenient location, good price. The meeting rooms are also excellent. Breakfast offers many options, but the pastries were quite hard- that's my only complaint. Great place to stay!

    5
    « 2 for 2 »

First time we stayed at this location, we lucked out! Pool was almost empty each time the kids went to use it. The staff, food and presentation of this hotel is A+. The second time the same thing, I hardly want to leave a review because I feel like it's my best kept secret. I will definitely keep Best Western on the top of my list for hotels to stay at.

    5
« Wonderful place to stay »

We drove from Calgary to Quebec City and back again. This was our penultimate stop and the last of 18 facilities that we stayed at that were new to us. Most of them were reasonably comparable price-wise and we would rate it among the top three of our stays, no question. Beyond the usual amenities one comes to expect at a Best Western (spacious clean rooms, ample parking, nice bath facilities, etc. etc.), there were several extra perks that pushed it over the top in our opinion. The complimentary breakfast was easily the best we had... all the hot items (eggs, sausages, hash browns) were of high quality and fresh, there were more juice options available than usual, a fruit salad bar and great bagels and muffins. The bonus was real cutlery! In the early evening, there is the added bonus of soup, veggies and dip and other nibblies available as well. The chicken noodle soup was excellent... two bowls worth for this guy! Finally, the pool area is attractive and the hot tub had good jet power to ease those aching muscles. In our limited interactions with staff, we found them courteous, amiable and excellent to deal with. The hotel is nicely located in the south end of town near the University and easily accessible to the Trans-Canada highway. There can be traffic issues there during rush hours but nothing compared to what you'd experience in the core. If ever we return, we'll positively stay here.

    5
« Super clean and comfortable for the price. »

This is an excellent hotel for the price paid. It is very clean with great maintenance and cleaning quite evident. They did offer a very good free breakfast with some hot items such as hashbrowns, eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles, and all the continental type of carbs. Easy check in and check out. 10/10. I wish it was a little closer to downtown but it did not hinder my travel nor make it a problem.

« Great hotel and staff »

Great staff and excellent service. The room was spotless. The bath room was a bit dated but we don't spend a lot of time in there. It was very clean. Close to investors group stadium and transport to the field. Pool looked very nice.

« Amazing Hotel great place to stay if I was back there again I would go back. »

I stayed at the Hotel in September this year and the owner of the hotel had picked me up from the airport great man very help full . All the staff are very friendley and provide great customer services . The breakfast was great and the staff running operation on her own was very helpful and on the weekend the owner was helping his staff to so we stayed for 2 weeks and loved the customer service and we had fun times in the pool area. Over all 10 out 10 made us feel like we were home.

    « Welcoming »

A snowstorm brought us to Winnipeg a day earlier than planned, Oct 26th after 10pm. I called last minute and was able to get one room. I believe the guest services lady was "Linda", while on my cell, she guided us to the hotel. Very friendly greeting when I walked through the door. Hotel is clean. Beds are comfy. Full breakfast. Thank you for helping us out!

Nice hotel comfy beds no eating for dinner or lounge to relax and wind down for the day or gathering for families to visit. clean and friendly just not close to any family type restaurants and or entertainment. Staff were all nice and helpful and breakfast was amazing for all. Breakfast hours could go a little longer for the late risers on weekends, but food was good and siting space is crowded.

« Great beds, Poor service »

I am 18 and my boyfriend is 20. When we arrived at the hotel we were interrogated for reasons I'm assuming because we are so young. The clerk asked for our I.D's which is required and nothing wrong with that but he then went onto ask me when I turn 19. This confused me because 18 is the legal age here and he can also tell when my birthday is on my I.D. He then went onto to tell us that if we are thinking of having any parties that we need to be quiet by 11 p.m. which is fine because no one wants to be in a hotel where people are noisy but just because we were young he seemed to think that we were going to cause trouble and I thought that was very rude. I felt very unwanted in that moment and gave me an unsettling feeling of the hotel. He then continued to ask if we were having anyone over or if my boyfriend was driving anywhere that day. Perhaps it is part of protocol but it was very rude the way he went about it.

I stayed here for work since it was beside the business I was working in. I have had bad experiences with Best Westerns before but this hotel was excellent. It seemed new or newly renovated. The restaurant next door was a good place to eat plus there is a pizza place in walking distance otherwise you will be driving for food. I would stay at this hotel again.

« Great family hotel, fantastic staff, love the breakfast »

We stayed here during a very busy time of the Canada Games 2017. The hotel is nicely updated, spacious, great indoor pool area for the kids, and the breakfast is excellent (huge time saver). Our room was very comfortable. All the staff are energetic, and everyone wants to make your stay great, and even the shuttle to and from the airport was very accommodating to our schedule. The owner was mingling with the guests each day, checking in on their stay. I highly recommend for business or family leisure travel.

    « Short toilet »

OK, now you hear my bathroom rant. Lovely property on the river, close to the university and the new stadium, lots of restaurants in the area and a Starbucks outside the door. BUT, a tiny bathroom with a tiny toilet placed inches above the floor so that if feels like you are falling to sit on it. Upgrade please!!!! One more rant, doubling the room rate just because there is a football game in town, come on, quit gouging. Nice breakfast, pretty location, short toilet!

There was plenty of parking and the location was very good with many restaurants close by for supper.

« Good location not far from U of Manitoba campus »

We stayed here for couple of nights while visiting the campus and looking for housing with our son. We had a one bedroom suite with a sofa bed. The bedroom is small with room for not much more than the king bed but did have a TV. However the living area was fairly large with a dining table and small kitchen area. There were a number of options for dinner nearby. This hotel worked well for our purposes.

Checked in to this lovely BW Plus property. Front desk staff was cheerful and foendly making me feel very welcome. Gave us bottled water and snacks. Parking is controlled with a parking sticker. Soup and veggies with dips was available on check-in and desk staff brought us ice water too! Room very comfortable with I would say were most comfortable I have slept on in many years. Location is good access to Perimeter Highway. Starbucks across the street. Wished Tim Hortons was close by. Morning free breakfast was well stocked with scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns cakes. Cereals, toast and bagels. Coffee good with 3 juices too. There was the U Sask football team staying there so we got to breakfast just before them.... Laundry onsite was easy to use. $2/wash and $3/dry. Fridge in room. Ice on 1st and 3rd floors. Nice looking pool but did not get to use it. Elevators pretty quick. Fairly close to city attractions like The Mint and shopping. Overall I am very happy with our choice of hotels and highly recommend this hotel.

Great location for attending an event at Investors Group Field. We took a cab to the concert and was able to walk back to the hotel after seeing the long taxi line. Close to bars and restaurants and a short drive to Polo Park for shopping.

    « Terrible customer service »

The frontdesk who checked in my family was so rude and that she even charged them extra $60 while in fact the reservation is for free night stay. I phoned the lady to ask why they were charge extra, she was not friendly over the phone and doesn't even sound friendly. She just told me to fax the paper showing that the 2 rooms are booked for 7 people which I did faxed back to her. The thing here is that, first she should not be rude in checking in guest just because its a free night stay and she should be move attentive to what the printed reservation details are. She is terrible and it's not acceptable at all cause I too work as a customer service and I always make sure not to show rudeness to people no matter how annoying they might be.

The hotel was easy to find, guests were predominately adults. The room was spacious and quiet. I walked in the evening before going for a swim. This hotel is one I frequently use when I travel across Canada.

« Super solid choice for a hotel »

The hotel building itself is up to date and clean. the staff could not have been more helpful. The location is 15 minutes from downtown during rush hour. plenty of restaurants (and a Starbucks) nearby. Very affordable pricing for what one gets. Stay here!

    « I LOVE THIS HOTEL! »

My wife and I have stayed here at least a half dozen times during our trips to Winnipeg. It is on a great location, Pembina Hwy is an easy trip into downtown, and it's easy to get elsewhere in the city as well. Starbucks within walking distance (literally the next building over). The staff are friendly, and the breakfast area is large. They often host touring sports teams, but even then there isn't any concern about breakfast food running out. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and perfectly heated despite the bitter winters in this city. The hotel is reasonably priced as well. If you don't know Winnipeg, stay here. You'll have a great starting point to begin your adventures!

« Clean and comfortable, but definitely not the best »

No complaints about cleanliness, comfort, amenities. But I wouldn't call it the best hotel in Winnipeg or the best Best Western Plus. There were no charging ports by the bed. The shampoos were tiny and didn't lather. We usually get glasses at a Plus and they were plastic. All in all a nice stay but for the "#1 rated" hotel in Winnipeg we expected to be wowed. Based on the reviews we paid about $40 more per night than the Holiday Inn, and I don't feel we got $40 more of value.

The wedding we attended chose this place for us to stay. Very nice choice. Clean, comfortable, everything we needed. Wished I'd had time to check out pool. Breakfast was a great surprise. Lots of hot food to fill us up for the big trip home.

    « Great room »

A very nice room, updated with nice furniture and lots of ways to plug in your electronics! Free breakfast each morning with slightly different hot dishes to choose from. Likely the best free breakfast I've ever had at a hotel!

Josephine was extremely helpful when we realized we had booked a room with 1 double bed and organized another room for us. Though it may need a bit of modernizing the location was great and the parking lot was large and fit our car and uhaul. Very pleasant stay.

    « Great overall! »

We stayed here during the Canada Summer Games in August. The staff, hotel owner and manage were very hospitable, the hotel was clean and the rates very affordable. The breakfast offered many options - even gluten free! In the evening there was a nice hot bowl of soup in the eating area if we didn't feel like eating out that night. The pool area was great as well.

« Great hotel, great staff »

Stayed for Canada Games. Great location to events, university, even downtown. Could not say enough about the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Lots of good family restaurants nearby or even walking distance. Clean rooms, hot breakfast, evening snacks (chips, pretzels, bowl of soup), airport shuttle. Couldn't really find any fault, overall great visit.

This hotel is our favorite place to stay when we go to Winnipeg. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to your needs. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. I like that they offer coffee or tea 24 hours a day because it makes it feel like home. They also have a pool which is kept clean and tidy. They are also on a river which is nice to go for a walk.

« The Best! Excellent Hotel! »

We visit Winnipeg yearly, but this was our first stay at this Hotel! We will definitely come back again, as this was a lovely Hotel! We loved the entire stay which was so relaxing! We chose the Suite, which was excellent for visiting with family and friends. Each morning we had a excellent breakfast, which included fresh scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, toast, muffins, bagels, cereal, fresh fruit, fruit cocktail, juices and coffee. They even provided gluten free items for those who needed! The Staff were so pleasant and the food was served perfectly each day! Each afternoon from 5pm-7pm, they served soup, fresh veggies with dip, salsa and corn ships and other snack chips! Coffee was also available. Our Suite had a large countertop area, sink, fridge, microwave and coffee maker! The rooms are spotless, and well maintained. The cleaning staff go beyond the call of duty! The hotel was lovely and quiet for sleeping, which was a real bonus. After 11 pm is quite time! The parking area is monitored and easily accessible. There is a lovely, sparkling clean swimming pool and a great fitness room! A great addition is the availability of a laundry room for guests. I will certainly always stay here when visiting Winnipeg! The front desk staff, and management were amazing! Loved our stay!

The staff, especially at the front desk, were very friendly and fun to chat with. The room had newer decor and was comfy, clean and welcoming. The restaurant next door (Pony Corral) was a good place to go for supper as well as for evening appetizer and drinks. Will check in here again!

The bathroom is tiny. If you are a large person which I am not, you will have a problem moving around in the bathroom. The parking is very tight, cars jammed up to each other on either side. The room and the bed were comfortable. The front desk personnel friendly and professional. The breakfast was so-so.

« Great stay at Best Western Plus Pembina Inn »

I stayed for a weekend at this location and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was immaculate. I stayed in a room with a king sized bed. I was pleasantly surprised that the room came with a microwave and mini-fridge. That is very handy for those wanting to save some money on food. Speaking of food, they provide a good selection of food for breakfast and it's free. They offer cereal, instant oatmeal, yoghurt and toppings that you can add. They have bagels, toast and muffins. There is also some fruit salad or apples and bananas. Finally, for the hot breakfast part, they have sausage, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. The hotel also offers soup in the evenings, but I didn't take advantage of that. My room was spacious and quiet. The fitness room offered the necessities to get a good work out. I didn't try the pool. Location wise, it's pretty central to everything (except Transcona lol). I would definitely stay there again. Oh! and it's pet friendly. And there is free parking.

« A nice escape in the city »

We were looking for a place to escape with our infant daughter, before the birth of our second. The hotel was very clean, and offered snacks, breakfast, wireless internet, a saltwater pool...Just great. My only complaint is the price. We paid 225.00 for a suite (all in), which is a lot for us, for one night, and the room, however clean, was by no mean luxurious. The king bed was very firm as well, and I had a hard time sleeping on it ( everyone's preference is different in this area too). The sofa bed made our backs uncomfortable after sitting on it to watch a movie. All in all, we would recommend the hotel for a quick getaway, but we certainly could not afford to stay very often, and probably wouldn't pay that much again for an uncomfortable sleep.

It was an excellent hotel. The river is right beside it and it's walking distance from many things. The breakfast is great and so convient especially for families! We had a fantastic trip and it was definitely in part due to our great hotel.

« VERY GOOD BUSINESS HOTEL »

An associate and I stayed there for one night while on a road trip to Milwaukee. The hotel staff were very pleasant, the room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Internet service was fast and the breakfast was typical Best Western Plus fare. It is well located to the Perimeter Highway and Highway 75/I-29 to North Dakota. The only issue was frequent sirens when we stayed there, so I am assuming there must be a hospital close by. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

    « Good hotel »

A good hotel to stay with a pet and kids. Nice breakfast. Good pool with slide. Lovely walk along the river at the back of the property - convenient with dog. Best about this location is the great staff who truly stood out for their graciousness and warmth.

« Great breakfast, clean rooms »

A group of us stayed here for the weekend as we were in town to celebrate a wedding. Check in was pretty quick, though you have to initial the waiver in several places. The lobby is very nice, has free newspapers, which I have missed in other fancier hotels. There are plenty of ice and vending machines, a bar and lots of food places nearby, which came in handy for happy hour and for arriving back late at night. One of our family took the free shuttle to the airport, so that worked out great as well. Our room had a king bed, the windows don't open though, so had to rely on the AC. The best part of this hotel though is the breakfast staff. Wow, they work hard. Of the three mornings we were there, a lot of people went through the breakfast lines. Lots of hot food, they never ran out and the place was spotless, I have been to these free breakfast places before and they often run out of food or the place is mess, not here!!!! I had eggs, bacon, waffles and lots of juice each morning. There is coffee, tea, fruit, muffins, yogurt, cereal and other hot items. All of the staff we met, from the front desk, to the room attendants to the breakfast staff, they are all very friendly and run a great hotel. When we were looking to watch the football game as a group they gave us three different options, what a treat. I do wish patrons of the breakfast area would do more to thank the staff. We tipped here and there, but when you see people taking 5 plates of food and drinking coffee and juice and not cleaning up after themselves you think they would at least leave a tip for the workers who are working hard to make the place enjoyable for everyone. Anyway, I would stay here again if need be. We picked this place initially for the location, but it is a clean, well run hotel. There is a inside pool and waterslide I believe, but we didn't go and see it.

« BEST HOTEL TO STAY AT »

This Hotel is a great place - nice and clean and friendly staff and general manager is a great guy - an excellent hot breakfast and the good coffee mmmm - the rooms are spacious and comfy beds make for a good rest after travelling - the location is very good close to the bypass highway and close easy route to the Polo Park mall and St. Vital shopping mall and all the other stores and restaurants in the area - I have stayed at this Hotel for several tears now and will continue as its great value for such a nice place

    5
« All pros no cons »

For the price I have to rate this as the best. All staff are friendly and accommodating. The hotel is kept clean and nothing really outdated. The beds are very comfortable and the room was a nice size. The breakfast had many choices and all were good. The soup at night was also very good. If you factor in what the breakfast and soup at night would cost you the price of your room has dropped. I would recommend and I will be staying again when in Winnipeg. Great job by management and all staff.

« Great experience, excellent service! »

We stayed at this Best Western for our "staycation," since we had a day scheduled at Thermea (we wanted to have a glass of wine, so we chose a hotel that was walking distance). We were very pleased with our visit as this hotel offered services that I've never experienced at any hotel before - they had TONS of options at the complimentary breakfast, offered complimentary snacks/soup in the evening, and had excellent customer service. The pool and hot tub were kept very clean, and weren't busy or overcrowded at all during our stay. Overall, we had a great experience - highly recommend!

    4
« Good stay for families »

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel while visiting family in Winnipeg. This Best Western is a good place to stay if you have a family. It's a bit more dated in decor that other Best Western's I've stayed at but its clean and it's still a good hotel for the money. The breakfast is decent except that they only had 1 high chair for the dining room when this hotel is geared towards families so I had to have my baby sit on my lap. The staff is generally friendly. What's nice about this location is their salt water pool with water slide and hot tub. That's fun for the kids. Overall a good stay.

    « Great night! »

    « Doggone Great! »

We booked a room the night before our dog was to have surgery. We booked online via eBates and specified a pet friendly room. I called the 1-800 number with my confirmation number to make sure our request would be recorded. When we checked in, our reservation didn't indicate a pet friendly room, even though it was requested twice. Luckily our friendly front desk person was able to accommodate us. We settled in, got dinner then spent the evening relaxing at the hotel. You will be given towels to use for your pet, a folded blanket for your pet to sleep on, a bag of treats for your pet to enjoy as well as a welcome sheet with guidelines to follow to make sure your pet and other guests are comfortable. We were pleased the parking lot has bags for elimination of pet waste as we didn't bring enough for our stay. There is a lovely walking path along the Red River that we walked in the evening and morning. Please make sure you pick up after your pet. We had a great stay with our pupper and wouldn't hesitate to stay here with her again if the need arose.

    « Clean and comfortable »

We were only passing through and stayed one night, but I have no complaints about this hotel. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. It has a nice pool and waterslide for some evening fun before turning in. The included breakfast was fabulous! There was yogurt, waffles, cereal, fresh fruit; and no one objected to me taking my waffle "to go" since my family had already eaten, and we were ready to hit the road! There's a Starbucks and restaurants nearby. We got a good rate on the room for the one night.

« Dog and people deluxe! »

We travel with two large dogs ( German Shepherd and Labrador retriever). In the US we stay at la Quintas that are pet friendly everywhere. This hotel, which we found through BringFido.com, was exceptional. There were two plush blankets to bed the girls down PLUS towels to wipe paws because dog trail was by the river. Did I mention two dog biscuits for each? Blankets wrapped in ribbon. Also a door hanger to alert staff that dogs (Very Important Pets) were inside. After a long drive from Saskatoon to Winnipeg, the welcome for dogs and their people was awesome. Other amenities were indoor swimming pool and breakfast (but not for the dogs). Well done BringFido!

Staff was very friendly....the only thing I would criticize is that the hot food offered at breakfast offered very little variety...it was the same everyday and we were there for 5 days. I would also like to see some of the gathering spaces accessible for no additional charge.

This is located on the south end of Winnipeg about 25 minutes south of the airport. When we arrived they were very efficient and friendly during our check-in and our room was comfortable, quiet and clean. The breakfast was better then the normal offerings I see at BW's and my wife enjoyed it. There was a nice pool and slide for families although we did not use it and parking was free and ample as was the wifi. I'd stay here again!

« Superb Front Desk Staff Member »

I am travelling with my father and found the front desk staff member that checked us in to be superb. She was extremely helpful and kind to my father, who has some difficulty in hearing, as we checked in. Definitely the best experience we have enjoyed in checking in to any hotel. I had high expectations of this hotel due to it being rated so highly on Trip Advisor and those expectations have been met in every area through our first two nights of a three night stay.

Stayed here one night and definitely going to stay in the future. Pets are welcome and they get all the basic stuff that they need (a mat to put their bowls, a blanket, and treats!) Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean, and the little one loved the pool. Breakfast was amazing and staff was so accommodating, we went for breakfast close to closing time and she asked us before she closed if we needed anything else before it closes, that was very thoughtful of her to ask. Thanks!!! In general I was very pleased with my stay, highly recommend it!

« wonderful location- great staff »

I was attending my school reunion. This hotel was within walking distance of my dad's place. We had many visits in the breakfast room and lobby. He was even invited to stay for breakfast a couple of times. The hotel is on a riverbank with a walking trail- I enjoyed walking it and observing the ducks, geese and squirrels. All the staff were great- very helpful. I was fairly busy so did not get to use the exercise room. I did use the lobby computer many times. Enjoyed the vegetarian soup and snacks a couple of nights also.

« Awesome Experince Staying Here »

We stayed there twice. Once on our way to our vacation by Air and when we got back. The hotel offers a shuttle to the airport, however it stops at 7p.m., our flight was after 9 pm. We just took a taxi back to the hotel. The room was clean and the staff were awesome. Best Westerns do not have good soaps or shampoo's so it would be best to take your own. I would stay there again.

Rooms were very clean; hotel was quiet; staff was friendly and went beyond the call of duty; breakfast was delicious; and bed was comfortable. Location is great with lots of parking. The staff was very accommodating when I called in last minute to book in a day early than my initial reservation. Though my room wasn't ready they gave me another room for the night and transportated my belongings to my room the next day without any hassle. Looking forward to my next stay!

« An Excellent Place To Stay »

After a long day on the road this modern, very clean hotel was a welcome refuge for the night. We had a king room on the third floor. The night was very quiet despite being directly over the front entrance and not far from the main road. The tv and wifi were excellent, all of the amenities worked as they should and all was very clean. This Best Western provides snacks and soup between 5 and 8pm which we had never seen before but was most welcome. The breakfast room was large, clean and well equipped. Breakfast itself was as good as we've come across without paying extra. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a nice, but small, pool and hot tub but being a weekend too busy to enjoy.

    « Weekend Conference »

My spouse and I were coming into the city for a Conference and arrived early at the Best Western. I should add that we had been contacted the week prior to arrival and offered a free upgrade to a suite, which was appreciated. We arrived in the morning, due to possible weather issues and despite being early, within 30 minutes we were contacted on my cell by the front desk that our room was available. The room was very clean and well appointed, with lounging area, fridge, coffee maker, kitchenette and a separate bedroom. We really appreciated that the room also had a bathtub/shower as so many hotels are leaning towards showers only. A soak is sometimes so very appreciated. The included breakfast room was well appointed with plenty of choices and I would recommend this hotel strongly. I was also given an very good rate for the suite as a member of the BW rewards plan.

« Incredible kindness and professional staff »

We were on a trip through Canada, from Vancouver to Hamilton, Ontario. In last week we have been guests of three Best Western Plus hotels as those provide pet-friendly rooms. In Pembina Inn & Suites in Winnipeg, we have found ourselves late night, without booked room, and no room available. Ms. Linda on front desk has devoted quite a time trying to find accommodation for us in many local hotels. It was for us unexpected kindness and caring. Finally, she has found a room for us in another city, 45 minutes away in our route, but before we started, she called us back, as there was a cancellation, so we were able to check in. Ms. Linda spared us a lot of trouble.

    « Excellent experience »

Stayed on a Saturday night after a Tai Kwon Do tournament. Kids had a great time in the pool and water slide. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent as well. Will definitely stay again

« Always an enjoyable stay »

We are always impressed whenever we stay at this particular Best Western. The staff is very friendly and checking in is always a breeze. The one particular night we stayed here (Friday), the pool area was rather crowded with kids and we didn't take a dip. Other than that, I would recommend this property in the south end of Winnipeg whenever possible.

    « Comfortability »

Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable to sleep on. Breakfast is good especially the sausages. The place is accessible to the Max Bell Centre - University of Manitoba where the Manitoba Schools Science Symposium was held.

    « Hotel was good! »

Had a few issues...crazy elderly lady harassed our children! I asked about a cot and was immediately told "no" (by the man at the front desk ) and that my room couldn't fit one and that they didn't even have any. Then as I walked away he asked what room I was in and said he could get one and charged me 12.00...it was strange

    « Always a great stay! »

The BEST WESTERN PLUS Pembina Inn & Suites is our "go-to" hotel in Winnipeg! Full marks all around! The entire property is very clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and our kids LOVE the pool and waterslide. A full hot breakfast with a great selection is included in your stay. I have nothing but good things to say! Thank you, Best Western! :-)

« Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. »

We recently spent 3 nights at this property. The staff are great. The rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the soup and snacks in the evening were a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a busy day! We will be back.

    « I'd stay again »

We were very satisfied with this hotel. Our room was spacious and very clean. The beds and pillows were extra comfortable and this was a bonus for us. Breakfast was great, lots of everything. Except, we wondered why there was no bacon or ham on Good Friday. Not everyone is Catholic! We like our meat for breakfast.

« Great stay at an awesome hotel »

Helpful & friendly staff, clean spacious room, a great free hot breakfast and had a swim in their salt water pool before we checked out. I first stayed at this hotel 7 years ago on a business trip, and fell in love with their pool. When I have a choice, I stay at this hotel for both business & leisure trips to the city with the family. I like the location. It is relatively easy to find, there are restaurants near by, a night club and stores just down the street (either way). My family and I also stayed here after a Winnipeg Blue Bombers game last year, thank goodness its close to the Investor's Group Field!! Traffic is crazy!!

« Nice accommodations in Winnipeg »

The location was convenient for me. Had a minor issue with the TV audio, staff corrected the issue quickly. Good temperature control, excellent sound controls - no outside noise was audible in my room. Will stay again when I'm back in Winnipeg.

    « Amazing location »

This site has everything I could have needed. Breakfast amazing and there was an afternoon soup we were so pleasantly surprised. And the snacks were healthy and fresh this might be the best location I have stayed at so for and I do about 50 plus rooms per year

« Hotel served our needs »

I think this hotel is great for families: ample free breakfast and late afternoon snacks, although we didn't find the food to be anything special--kind of what we expected. Kids would enjoy the pool and slide. We were surprised by the damage deposit on check-in. I guess they've had problems. We had to buy a box of "soft" tissues to use instead of the toilet paper they provide. The lighting is okay if you're just lounging around but it's not the greatest if you're reading. As a woman who wears make-up, I found the bathroom lighting poor. I set up the ironing board by the window to act as makeup station. Fortunately, we had sunny mornings. We were in a queen suite and surprised to find only one small closet upon entry. Our bed was a bit lumpy. The hotel was convenient for our needs (in town at the last minute for a family funeral) and I'm sure being on the river in the summer is quite lovely.

    « Clean with a fair price »

This is my go to hotel while in Winnipeg, Very clean with great staff and the rooms are affordable. Seems to be located in a good area no problems with leaving my vehicle there. Free breakfast, snacks during the day and evening appetizers. The beds are very comfortable and great pressure with the shower heads.

    5
    « Quite frankly, you'll be impressed »

Upscale Best Western Hotels have become our choice by default. We have never been disappointed . . . unlike other experiences we've had in other hotels when when traveling to cities we haven't visited before. And, the breakfast is outstanding. No minimalist approach there - don't need to stop for lunch if you're heading off on a road trip.

    « Our wonderful stay »

Great Hotel. Staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is hot, with a good selection. The staff keep the breakfast area very clean. The owner was very helpful. Great location. We would stay there again.

    « Best Western - Wpg MB »

Great location, good value and excellent rooms. Have used this hotel numerous times for my husband's medical appointments and surgery. Great location in terms of distance to the hospital and clinic. The evening soup and snacks bar is great for a light meal when our schedule is busy. Staff are very friendly.

    « Banjo Bowl Stay »

Very nice breakfast included, ate at the hotel almost every morning. Just a quick drive to the stadium for the game which was a huge bonus. Spent lots of time in the little pool and hot tub there! Staff were also very friendly to all of the out of town visitors, considering the rivalry. Definitely will be staying there again in the future!

    5
« Great staff - our Go-To in southern Winnipeg »

This is our favourite place to stay when in the city for football games. Just a 30 minute walk to IGF. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and recognize us as return visitors. Breakfasts are plentiful, fresh, and served on real plates with real cutlery - no disposables! Rooms are well-appointed and clean. Many restaurants within walking distance. Dog-friendly. Highly recommended!

« Our go to spot »

We stayed here for another medical appointment, and while it was not convenient to the Hospital, it was for all the other plans we had in the city. The cab ride was pre-negotiated at $22 with a receipt from the hotel to Health Science Centre Winnipeg. Check in was swift and staff was courteous. The price we had booked during our reservation was what we signed for at check in. Our room was clean with everything we expected. I have allergies to cleaning and scented products. Our room wasn't overly 'smelly' and I didn't have any reactions for the duration of our stay. We opted to not have our room cleaned while we were visiting to minimize chemical exposure. There is a fridge in the room, but no microwave. I used the microwave in the kitchen when I needed to. We were please to find soup and snacks upon our arrival Thursday night. Our kids were hungry. While we have encountered this perk in the past, we were not expecting it. It was much appreciated. The breakfast offers hot and cold options. I have severe food allergies, and while I brought my own food, I was pleased to see I could have had breakfast at the hotel safely. The first day, the dairy free milk was the same brand I use, which was nice to see. It was used up and a different option was available the second day. It had soy, however, and I couldn't use it because of my allergy. The breakfast hostess noticed I had my own Almond Milk and offered the one she stocks. When I explained my allergy, she was very kind and understanding that I can't take a chance. While we were staying at the hotel, there were two visiting University Basketball teams. They were all very cordial and represented their schools with good manners. :) We used the pool in the afternoon and evening, usually enjoying it by ourselves or with one or two other people. Again, having an allergy to chemicals, the salt water option was welcome, as I have previously reacted to the sulfited 'shock' as well as the chlorine at different hotel pools. I could enjoy the pool and watch my kids safely. We walked to some shops while our vehicle was being serviced. It was nice to have the option to shop and visit restaurants as needed. We took a short drive across the river and visited St. Vital park. What a beautiful retreat in the city! Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would stay again, should we need to.

    « Mr and Mrs »

Always a wonderful place to stay. They have the most wonderful staff...always smiling and willing to help. There is plenty of parking and central to shopping and easy access to the MTS centre. They also have soup several nights a week for those weary travellers.

« Great stay, very welcoming. »

I highly recommend staying at the Best Western Pembina Inn & Suites, in Winnipeg. It's a really nice place to stay, very welcoming after a long drive. The decor is beautiful, the ladies at the front desk are great and they even offer free soup and snacks after 5pm for guests. There's a nice pool and the breakfast was terrific.

    5
« Grear service and very clean »

Very well kept place. Everything felt and looked extremely clean. I highly recommend staying here. The pool also has a waterslide and a nice hot tub for relaxing. If you plan on drivint througj. Definitely stay here

    « Ripped on price! »

Quoted $130 on Best Western Rewards online and was charged $170 first night and $130 next two nights. Said they would change to $130 but when got express checkout there was no change. Had to complain again before they finally changed it. Holiday Inn will be my next stay when in this area as they were less expensive and I've never had the bait and switch pulled on me at their properties. My room was clean but in need of updating. Breakfast was awful but coffee was hot and banana was good. Their so called evening supper snack is cheap also and not recommended. Good location but so is Holiday Inn. Can not recommend this property!

« Great hotel close to stadium »

LOVED staying here. We were in town for the Heritage Classic hockey game. The ladies at the front desk bent over backwards to ensure we had a good time. The included hot breakfast was a huge bonus. The morning we left they even opened up some of the breakfast area for us early so we didn't have to go to the airport hungry. We were also like 15 min to the stadium which was great. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

    « Excellent as always!! »

This is a review from my 5 night stay last April. Fabulous stay! I am from Winnipeg but I live out of town now. I always stay here for my visits to Winnipeg. Spacious, comfortable rooms and the staff is amazing! They are friendly and very helpful! Great area and close to everything! My go to hotel in the city. Thank you!

    « Super practical »

Attended a family wedding in Winnipeg. Hotel was perfectly. located between downtown and the airport. Facility has all the necessary elements for comfortable and practical stay. Located conveniently besides many other businesses. Highly recommended.

« Great Place for a reasonable price »

Nice size upgraded room with a king-size bed that was very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean with a great shower. Very quiet at night so we slept well. The staff was incredible; every one greeted us with a smile and a "good morning", from the front desk to those looking after cleaning the room or vacuuming the hallways. Any time we had a question, we received a helpful response. Breakfasts are included in the room rate and were very good. Scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns and a full complement of continental goodies. Breakfast room staff made sure there was always enough to eat. The breakfast room was spacious with an overflow room if necessary. Highly recommended!

    4
« In Town for CFL football »

The hotel was an excellent choice for us to attend a CFL football game in Winnipeg. The facility was within 10 minutes of the stadium and was close to food and entertainment facilities for pre and post game activities. Staff were attentive and helpful with information and making the stay as enjoyable as possible

    4
    « Clean and convenient »

We've been travelling by car across Canada for almost a month now and frankly it gets hard to distinguish between the various mid-level chains. That said, this hotel met our needs. It was clean, comfortable, convenient and provided the standard breakfast. Service was friendly and efficient - and parking was free. What it lacks in character it makes up for convenience, consistency and quality.

« One night of bliss »

Excellent stay. Had the pool slide and hot tub to myself! Beds really comfy, shower had good pressure, rooms were clean and bright. There was complimentary soup and snacks when we arrived. Only complaint was the powdered eggs. Everything else was top notch.

    « A Winnipeg Winner »

Outstanding service and hospitality describe this motel. We rate this as the the example for others to follow. The owner/manager knows, 'people matter'. Soup and crackers are on offer for the weary traveller several nights of the week. The jug filled with iced lemon water, numerous continental breakfast choices with several hot options, leave no one wanting. The rooms are clean and quiet. They have a gym, heated pool and water slide. It is positioned close to several good restaurants and we enjoyed the fresh healthy meals and excellent service at Stella's. If we weren't impressed already, they accommodated a late check out and then the owner drove us to the airport in their courtesy bus. Very impressed!

« Great Stay in Winnipeg »

My wife and I were driving Australian friends from Ontario to Winnipeg and selected this hotel for two nights; an excellent choice Staff were friendly and efficient; rooms and breakfast were lovely and our friends were driven to the airport by the manager gratis. They were very impressed compared with Aussie hotels, especially with the price for all of the above.

    4
« Central Location, Good Hospitality and Accessibility »

This is an impressive hotel, true to the name of Best Western. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel also has a gym and swimming pool which is an upside for fitness minded people, though I feel the gym equipment could be redone. The check in, check out service was quick. The house keeping was punctual and the best part was the break-fast which was on offer at the restaurant below.

    « Excellent value »

On our way to BC from Ontario stayed for the night excellent pet friendly choice very clean, great beds, nice pool good laundry facilities very clean and an excellent breakfast included with your stay very good value and the hotel was well kept and clean reminded me of a Marriott suites I've been to before

« Super Clean and excellent for those traveling with pets. »

I was very impressed with this place. Not only do they welcome travelers with pets, but they take their picture and mount them on the bulletin board in the lobby. You are not relegated to a "pet room" either, nor charged extra. There's a truck stop behind the hotel with plenty of room to walk your dogs. Good morning continental breakfast. Comfortable beds and very pleasant staff.

    « Great Hotel »

As always, our stay at the Best Western on Pembina was perfect. Clean, quiet and a great place to stay. You can never go wrong with the free breakfast. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Our first choice hotel to stay when we go to Winnipeg.

    5
« Great for the family and the wallet »

The hotel had everything we needed - waterslide, wireless internet, and free breakfast. It is in a pretty good location, close to major roads to get around Winnipeg. The hotel staff were all very friendly and the hotel is well maintained. We stayed in the queen suite (two adults and one small child). The bedroom was a bit small, but for the price it worked for us. The wireless internet worked very well - and that is a good thing because our child is hooked on Netflix. The free breakfast offered many choices and certainly wasn't a typical Continental Breakfast you get in some other hotels. The waterslide / pool was a hit with our little one as well. We would certainly stay here again.

    « Meh »

I would describe this hotel as underwhelming. Our room smelled funny and the reception staff were only mildly responsive. The decor is outdated. Location is good. Breakfast was ok - but busy with a small eating area. We switched hotels for our second night - the location wasn't enough of a pro to outweigh the cons.

« You have to stay here! »

I could not be happier with this hotel! The service is great; the staff is wonderful; the location is pretty good; the breakfast is great; the evening snack is a nice treat; etc. The staff is so caring and fantastic. My son got sick all over his bed in the middle of the night. I called the front desk for some fresh sheets. Without hesitation, the kindest lady from the front desk brought us fresh sheets and a blanket. She even took away the dirty sheets. Shout out to her (I'm sorry I didn't get her name). The staff is always smiling and greeting guests, and they will go out of your way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I am very impressed with the excellent service!

    5

    « Awesome! »

There's really nothing to hate about this hotel, everything was awesome, if there is, i think there's no pancakes/pancake maker during breakfast, but waffles was okay, the hot items were ok too. Waterslide in the pool area was great too, my son had a great time. Wifi connection was fast. We always try to stay at BWH every time we go for short/long holidays, they're always the best!

    « Great stay! »

The service was awesome, beds were wonderful and pool and spa were great. ( Big shout out to Linda!). Room and bathroom were a bit small for 2 couples. We needed to ask for a different room because the first room we were given had a musty smell. A big surprise was delicious potato soup served in the evening along with snacks. It made for a perfect light dinner!

    « Moving »

If you looking for a pet frindly hotel dont look any more this is the most pet frindly hotel we ever stayed. there was extra blankets and dog treats for our dogs in the room as well towels for our dogs in case we like to give them a bath. we give the hotel a 11 out of 10 for the whole service and should be used as an example for any other hotel. The kids loved the pool with slide

« Best place to stop outside of Winnipeg. »

While travelling across Canada we decided to stop in for a night here on our return trip. Hands down the best choice for a hotel around Winnipeg. We had a great room with all the amenities, access to the pool (really fun) and we were so close to the Flying J that we were able to swing over for dinner and grab a few things we'd run out of. Great experience over all and I'd highly recommend you stay here.

    5
    « Great Location »

Our stay at this hotel was great. The place was very clean and the staff were very nice. Cant go wrong with the breakfast every morning. It is very close to the stadium which worked great for us. It was easy to get to for all the places of interest that we went to. The room was very clean. Great value. The swimming pool and hot tub were a nice added feature.

    « Summer trip »

Excellent hotel, very friendly staff who went the extra mile to help visitors, extended breakfast hours 6-10, full breakfast & an extra bonus from 5-9 when complimentary soup & snacks were provided, clean room, comfortable beds, adequate lighting.

    « Good location »

This is in a wonderful location, close to so many shopping centres, palces of interest, etc. Free break-fast makes it attractive. If you have transport, this is one of the finest places. Cos', they need 48 hours notice for ride to and from the airport.

« Fantastic Hotel with Super Staff »

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Great value, and just all round wonderful place. The staff is so good, they are quick to provide assistance and so friendly. The hotel itself is clean, updated and has excellent amenities. The breakfast features eggs, some type of meat, hashbrowns, as well as the waffles and other breads. In the late afternoon they bring out a big pot of soup with crackers and snacks which is a welcome treat after a long day of sightseeing. Overall this is a great place to stay and I recommend it highly. The only suggestion I would have is to shut down the slide at around 9 so there could be some quiet swimming.

    « Best stay on a trans-Canada road trip! »

Stayed at this property for two nights on a trans-Canada road trip. Arrived after a 15+hr drive from northern Ontario. We were allowed to check-in early and were provided with a room on the second floor. We paid $104/ night was was very reasonable. We were traveling with a small dog and just after check-in the housekeeping mgr (Shauna) knocked on the door and greeted us with a blanket, and treats for the dog. She introduced herself and asked how the room was. She was very polite and welcoming. The front desk mgr Jenny was also great, always greeted us when we walked by and was very welcoming. The room was exceptionally clean and had a fridge, coffee and tea making facilities. The morning breakfast was great, lots of options and in the evening the hotel provided complimentary soup and snacks. The pool area was large with a massive waterslide, pool and hot tub. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the Forks area and is close to restaurants and pubs. Parking was free. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone else. Of all hotels we stayed at across the country this one was the best considering all factors particularly the service.

    « A great little 'stay-cation!' »

We spent two nights here and loved our full kitchenette suite! Our nearly 8 year old son gave it a double-thumbs up! It was a very clean hotel, the staff were equally friendly and responsive :-) The salt-water pool was a welcomed change for us, and the water features did not disappoint! We were even able to have my sister and her family come visit on the eve of our arrival and enjoy the pool with us. Sunday's breakfast was especially tasty. And we were just a short drive to ThunderRapids and to the Assiniboin Downs. It literally felt like we were 'out of town.' Thanks for a great way for our family to wrap up our holiday stretch:-)

    « Wonderful »

My friend and I really enjoyed this motel. The breakfast fare is good - real china coffee cups, plates, and silverware! Water and juice available in the lobby. Motel staff were very very helpful. We had a king size room with business desk, living room chair and ottoman, and separate smaller chair. Nice for watching tv. For US travelers, from North Dakota and MN, you can get local major news stations. Winnipeg paper is available each day. The parking lot is not large, so yellow parking lines are a little tight for vehicle. Guest washer and dryer available.

« Oasis on the Prairie »

Outstanding hotel..first class all the way. Beautiful room..granite countertops in bathroom. Cleaners even made little creature with a face cloth..just like on a cruise ship! Best beds ever and shower had great pressure and lots of hot water. In house breakfast was good. They even served soup for guests in the evening. Riverside pub just a few short steps away was wonderful. Patio was open and busy. Best of all..the route back to the highway was super easy and very little traffic.

« Decent start to our holiday »

Spent two nights here recently with my family and we had 3 rooms between us. I chose it based on its reviews and also wanted to be South of the city as that was our direction of travel after our stay. It's also walking distance to several churches as a couple of the family wanted to go on the Sunday. Easy to get to from the airport and plenty of parking available, check in was quick with the helpful receptionist. Rooms were clean and comfortable, a little bit of road noise from the main road but not too bad, we had a room directly above reception I guess it may be quieter further down the corridor. Breakfast was decent with a couple of hot items available, the main breakfast room is not that big but there is additional space in a room opposite. Breakfast seemed to be less busy after 0830. There is a restaurant and bar next door, we didn't eat here only had a few drinks but food looked OK and there is a nice seating area at the rear overlooking the river. Driving in to the city was easy but we went on a Sunday so minimal work traffic. With good WiFi and an on site pool a good choice South of the city.

    5
    « Very comfortable »

I chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews and it did not disappoint. We spent 7 nights at the hotel and it was very clean and staff were extremely friendly and helpful to me on several occasions. I even met the manager one day - he introduced himself to me in the lobby. This hotel is great value for the money.

    5
« Pruned their shrubbery not our purse. »

My wife and I spent two enjoyable days at the Pembina. An immaculate room, spacious, comfortable and pretty. Upon arrival my keen-eyed wife said to me that the shrubbery needs pruning. We didn't mention that to anyone. The following morning they were being pruned. There are hotels where you can get exceptional value for your money. The BW Pembina is one of them.

    5
    « Great hotel »

This is a great hotel on the Pembina highway. Clean rooms, friendly staff. There is a complimentary breakfast which is good. There are a number of restaurants in the area. It is about a 15 minute drive to downtown. I am not sure how old the hotel is but it has probably been renovated recently. It is in very good shape.

    4
« Good location, rooms and breakfast »

Family of four, we shared one room. With a car it is nicely located, between the football stadium and downtown, Airport is easy to resch als well (with car - good parking). Nice breakfast, you could bake your own waffles. Shops and restaurants/ coffeehouses nearby.

« Clean, quiet, but cramped »

We booked this hotel last minute after other plans fell through and were overall very pleased with our stay. The parking lot has plenty of room and the front desk staff checked us in easily. The hotel was very clean and quiet. Everything looked almost new and was quite pristine. Despite the location being on Pembina and In a very busy area we found it was extremely quiet. We loved the little fish hand towel art in the bathroom! It was a creative and beautiful extra touch! We had a suite with a comfortable pull out couch, table and chairs, countertop, mini fridge, and extra bedroom. Although everything was in great condition it was VERY cramped. You could hardly walk between the bed and the wall in the bedroom. The breakfast in the morning was good and the dining area again was very clean and well done. The main issue here is that the price is quite high for a simple hotel and very cramped rooms.

    5
« Holiday Weekend with Family »

Staff was excellent, hotel very clean and our rooms were spotless. Appreciated the complimentary hot breakfast as well as complimentary evening soup/snacks. Location was great for everything we were doing. Grandkids really enjoyed the pool and waterslide, pool area was neat and clean. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

    5
« Great accommodation near a great pub! »

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past year. We like the proximity to both the perimeter highway and to the Pembina Highway leading to the US border. Gas stations are nearby. "Barley Bothers", a great pub with >150 beers on tap (more than 30 IPAs) is a 15 minute walk away.

Manager gave me motorcycle stand/pad for my bike and towel to my husband for his. Would recommend and definitely stay there again. Cudos to the staff at this fine hotel.

« Great place to stay. Recommend Queen Bed Suite »

We attended a Blue Bombers game. This hotel seemed close to the stadium, and we liked the idea of a suite. In all, our family booked 3 rooms for this event, all at the Best Western Plus on Pembina highway. Two of the rooms were great, while one of the rooms described as a "suite" had only a room, with a cot at the end of the bed. This was disappointing, as there were 2 adults and 2 children staying in this room. However, hotel staff advised there was nothing else available. Overall, it was a really great place to stay, with a pool the kids enjoyed, and room for the whole family to get together after the game in the Queen Bed/Sofa suite (which included a dining table & 4 chairs). We will definitely stay again.

Clean room, very quiet, helpful staff, good pool supervision. Easy to find and right along the river for those wanting to take a walk after a day of traveling. Though we didn't have our pets with us there were lots that. Lots of parking.

« Best Hotel stay ever! »

Really was superior on every point. Location, ease of access to city points, service was impeccable, clean, pool was fun and perfect temperatures, each and every personal request was handled in a friendly and prompt manner. Beds were comfortable. The hot breakfast was great every day and they even offered evening snacks and soup. I was delighted each and every day with all things about this hotel. My compliments to both the staff and the management!

    « Great family stay. »

We were in Winnipeg on a family vacation. although this hotel is not downtown it seemed to be right in the middle of everything we wanted to see like the zoo, IKEA, Forks. We enjoyed our stay and had no problems. Breakfast was great, with lots of options. Pool was clean and salt water so no bad chlorine smells. Kids enjoyed the water slid. The staff was very helpful with directions and questions we had.

    « I keep coming back! »

Excellent hotel and staff! Complimentary Soup and snacks on at 5pm. The hotel has a nice pool and business centre. I would highly recommend this Best Western for both business and pleasure. Many nice hotels in Winnipeg bit I keep coming back to this one!

We arrived early and were glad that we were able to check in immediatley. The staff were very friendly and professional. Room was large, well furnished and very clean. The high speed internet worked perfectly. I enjoyed having the coffee and tea available all day in the breakfast room. Hot breakfast was very good, a nice selection of other items as well. In all it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend the hotel

« Like staying at a first rate boutique hotel »

We were back again after an absence of two years. It was like coming home. Staff greeted us as old friends. Linda, the evening staff person, is absolutely amazing and adds so much to keeping guests happy. Nothing was too much trouble for her. How rare a jewel she is. Room was as good as we expected. I loved using the pool for an early morning swim each day. Breakfast was great. Even though this is a large hotel, it is more like staying in a boutique hotel. Thank you to all the staff.

    5
« Friendly and great hotel »

A highly recommended hotel. Staff are very friendly and service is great. Breakfast is very good and hot food is hot. Soup is served after breakfast is shut down, which is a nice option for later. A great pool and water slide and fitness room all appear well maintained, all though we didn't get opportunity to use them.

    « One night stay »

we were in Winnipeg for the home opener of the Blue Bombers football club. Check in at 6 pm was quick and professional. The internet connected easily and worked well. It was a 30 minute walk to the stadium for the game. The room was quiet even thru the thunderstorm. We slept in , however the breakfast was open till 10 am. A good stay. I recommend.

« I can honestly say I have no problem to recommend this Hotel to any one staying in the Winnipeg Area. »

Rooms are on par with most good hotels, fairly new big screen TV with lots of channels, really good quality bed (had great sleep both nights stay) A/C unit whisper quite and never heard any outside traffic or other sounds...........Found all staff that I had conversations with to be very helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was one of the best I have had, one small note pancakes where not very hot but second day made the waffles which where hot.......Really appreciated the hot soup or salsa and chips or pretzels later in the evening, this I believe goes a little over and above witch I really appreciated..

« Excellent and welcoming staff »

After driving 10 hours and checking into the hotel at 8pm. The front clerk mentioned the hotel offered a selection of 2 hot homemade soups, snacks and beverages in their breakfast lounge. My husband and I were tired and took advantage of this offer and were pleasantly surprised and the quality of food offered. I took advantage of the fitness room the following morning and was pleased that it was accessible 24 hours.

    « Great Breakfast »

Clean and comfortable rooms beside the river. Large breakfast room with a complete selection of hot and cold foods. Very friendly staff. Location gives easy access to downtown and the university area. Free wifi worked well.

« Great for hockey team »

Our entire hockey team stayed here this weekend while in a hockey tournament in Winnipeg. The rooms were modern and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. They provided a meeting room for the parents to hang out in during the evening, and helped us plan our route to the rink to avoid road closures due to a marathon. The water slide provided lots of entertainment for the kids. The breakfast was hot, and tasted great! It is located about 30 min from the airport and Canlan, Iceplex, and Gateway arenas (depending on traffic). While I would probably prefer to stay a little closer to the airport, this was an excellent choice for us.

Rooms where clean and renovated. Flat TV. Pool is warm with water slide. Hot tub was great on the back. Starbucks and pizza pizza next door was great since we checked in late. Breakfast is served hot and nice variety. Gluten free bread. Will be back next time in the area.

    « Loved it here!!! »

We were driving through from Edmonton. Got the last room available which was a "family suite". It had a queen sized bed (extremely comfortable), pull out sofa and semi-kitchenette (with dishes which we were impressed with). We also had my dog and when we walked in the room there were treats, rags, poop bags, an extra blanket and a nice note with tips on where to walk. AC worked good, water pressure in the shower was amazing, and breakfast was pretty average. Great place to stay overall!!

« Good place to stay in Winnipeg »

A very good place to stay while in Winnipeg. It's centrally located so it's easy to get to any part of the city. Our room and the whole hotel were exceptionally clean. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Reasonably priced. We spent two nights there. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Winnipeg.

    4
    « Good stay »

Nice clean room, AC unit was quiet. Staff was ok but puzzled on the $200 damage deposit on our card. Did not check out any of the amenities as we were visiting for dinner and breakfast. Did have dome disconnect issues when I was Skyping out. First time on trip that had happened.

    « Football Trip (U16) »

Perfect Choice for this group. Great location near stadium, clean rooms, hot breakfast included. Great parking and lots of amenities close by. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Couldn't have asked for much more. Also was travelling alone as my son went on the team bus and felt very safe in this hotel which is important in a larger city.

    « Great hotel »

Very nice hotel with fantastic continental breakfast available. The pool and gym both looked very good as well, but I didn't have time to actually use them. Many restaurants and shopping options nearby.

« Clean hotel and friendly staff »

Visited this hotel and was very impressed of how clean the hotel property was. The parking lot was so clean that u could walk bear foot outside. The staff was very friendly as well. The breakfast staff went beyond normal call of duty to make sure you were taken care of. The place overall was very clean. The room we had was on the smaller side but I'm sure size of rooms would change with different types. Pool was very clean as well

« Good staff in a well run hotel »

Spent 2 nights at the Pembina Inn while moving my daughter back to BC from a 2 year course at the local University. We had two small vehicles loaded with all her possessions, between Linda, Desola and Gerald at the front desk we were able to park close to the hotel in a well lit area near the front desk's windows...A big help. Really well run breakfast room with more amazing staff, I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Winnipeg.

« Best Western Plus Pembina Inn, Winnipeg »

What an awesome stay at the Best Western Plus Pembina Inn on the banks of the Red River. Our accommodations were spotless, the breakfast outstanding (regular earthenware plates and cups were used), the staff was friendly and super helpful. Linda at the front desk suggested we use the bus for travel to downtown. She gave us the bus numbers for travel to/from the hotel to downtown Winnipeg and where to catch the bus. The bus was fast and efficient! We left our car sitting safely in the hotel parking lot! The staff went the extra mile to make our stay incredibly enjoyable!!

Beautiful hotel, clean and modern accommodations. Was easy enough to find but kinda out of the way. Had a nice pool with a smaller water slide which our boys loved. There was a really nice continental breakfast... Hot and cold items. Was nice!

« Awesome Place to Stay with Kids! »

When I couldn't find a pop machine to give me a club soda, I asked the front desk if I could get some anywhere in the hotel. While they apologized that they didn't believe club soda was available in the hotels machines, a wonderful member of the staff, named Linda, later surprised me at my room door with a couple of bottles and cans of bubbly water. She'd walked at least a couple blocks away to get them. And she never charged me! This is only one example of how much it was a wonderful place to stay. The boys and I especially loved the morning breakfast, and the waterslide-equipped indoor pool and hot tub. You can't go wrong with this place. Thanks, again, Linda!

« Privately Owned, Well Run, Comfortable Hotel »

This is a family owned hotel within the Best Western chain. It's convenient to the University of Manitoba ... about 4 kms away. I was attending a conference there and it was the hotel for the conference. The rooms are spacious nicely decorated and comfortable. Everything appears to be recently updated. An expanded continental breakfast is available each morning and is included in the cost of the stay. The staff is excellent ... warm, welcoming, friendly, courteous and very helpful. For the kids, there is a pool complete with a waterslide. The breakfast dining room is smallish for the size of the hotel and when there are kids in residence (there was a baseball team there while I was staying) it can be chaotic, crowded and loud. But the breakfast will meet your morning needs and the coffee is very good. The location is not great if you want to be downtown but the transit system is good and if you have a car you're not really that far from much of anything in this city. If I needed to be in this part of the city again, I would certainly stay again at this property.

    5
« Excellent hotel at this price point »

We stayed at this hotel for one night while traveling through Winnipeg and had a very positive experience. Our room was spacious, quiet, tastefully decorated, and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and provided coverlets that were just the right weight and warmth. The mini-fridge in the room was a nice touch. The staff friendly and helpful, and the free hot breakfast, though nothing special, certainly met our needs. The property is a bit south of downtown but it took us only a few minutes to drive there for dinner. Bottom line: We were very pleased with our stay and would very likely choose this property again when visiting Winnipeg.

    5
« Wonderful Place to stay! »

Another great stay! The staff is very friendly and accommodating! Breakfast was excellent and my room was very quiet and had a peaceful sleep! We have a great business rate and I always recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the city! Thanks for always making my stay a memorable one!

    « Most comfortable beds! »

My husband had to go to Winnipeg for work twice in two weeks we stayed here both times. All the staff were incredible! The beds were EXTREMEMLY comfy, rooms were very modern and very clean. Amenities like the pool , hot tub, small fitness centre was great. They also have pretty much a full "continental" breakfast as well as afternoon soup and snacks. We will stay there everytime we go to Winnipeg .

    5
    « Great Experience »

The front desk staff were so friendly, helpful and happy. The breakfast and snacks were awesome. Very nice pool and used the fitness center each morning. Had a great sleep on the bed and my room was very nice. Highly recommend you visit this location if your in need in the area.

« Best Western Standards fully applied »

I stay at a lot of Best Westerns due to their standards and this hotel maintained that fully. You will be pleased with the staff and the rooms. There is the standard included breakfast which has the basics along with hot food. Did not use the gym facilities on this trip.

    5
« Completely opposite than the Best Western Plus in Dryden »

There was a mix-up in the reservation which was done through their central operations centre and not this hotel itself. The staff went out of their way to find me a room despite this. They were fantastic. The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom area was perfect. There is a great place for my dog to do her business and I don't recall reading any pet restrictions as we did in Dryden. Keeping the pet quiet goes without saying. The pool was average size but it had a large area with tables for the parents to sit while their kids are swimming...a very nice touch. It also had a decent sized circular slide for the kids to use as well. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in this area.

« Great overnight in the "Peg »

My husband and I were on a quick trip to check up on his parents. We decided to check out the Best Western Plus on Pembina Highway, and we are glad we did. Very reasonable price -- but exceptional service from Linda!! She gave us a very warm greeting as we checked in. We didn't know our rewards number, and she was trying to get it for us. We went out for a walk and dinner while she checked. When we came back, she'd had no luck, but assured us she'd keep trying! The next morning when we woke up, there was a note slid in under the door -- "Look what I found - have a great trip" signed Linda! She had found our rewards number, printed out a card and had written our number on it!!! She wasn't working that morning, but I left a note in thanks. The room was very clean, beds and linen very comfy, the waffles for breakfast the next morning were tasty -- all in all a good trip. But we'll always remember Linda and her welcome, efficient, and above and beyond service!!

« Nice, clean, friendly staff, good breakfast »

    « very nice hotel »

    « worth the stay »

when you consider the rates of other hotels in the area, Best Western competes with them all. Place is very clean and tidy in hallways, lobby, parking lot. The rooms were clean and the bed and bedding very comfortable. No trouble accessing the internet. They even had a lite snack in the breakfast room, when I signed in at 730pm. Breakfast was hot and not like other continental breakfasts. Quiet after 11pm, lots of parking space. Stay here again, you bet

    « Unprofessional »

I had my vehicle hit in there parking lot within the first hour of being there. Reported it and felt I was put off and avoided for the rest of the weekend. Cameras are not able to pick up a license plate number on a vehicle sitting directly in front of the camera!?! Did receive a call from management once I returned home with an apology but still have a dent in my car and a bad taste in my mouth??

    5
    « GREAT great stay! »

We were traveling with two small dogs. What a nice surprise at the hotel but to receive two blankets for the dogs wrapped with ribbon and doggy cookies for them to use during our stay. The room was clean. The bed really comfy. And the staff was so pleasant and helpful. This is a great place to stay. I highly recommend it!

« Nightmares or front desk? »

DO NOT stay here!!!!! The walls are paper thin. The night guy decide for whatever reason we had made noise which we HAD NOT and proceeded to wake us up three time through out the night up until 4am asking us to keep it down. We had made no noise. Very unprofessional under trained staff. Out of everywhere you could stay why stay at this hotel. I feel bad because the staff are so incompetent they had to bother the owner in the middle of the night. This place is a disaster run horribly.

    5
    « We never knew! »

A wonderful place to stay! Staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. I will definitely plan to stay here again. They offered soup in the evening and this was something very warm and comforting after a busy day of being in and about the city. The pool was clean and safe for our family. Thanks for hosting us in such an amazing way!

They made our kids feel so welcome they would rather visit the staff than their own relatives!! Linda (I hope I got the name right) came up to our kids and got them drinks, turned off the water slide so we could enjoy the hot tub in peace, and ensured our comfort at every opportunity. The pool was clean and fun! The rooms were clean and comfortable. I will make a point to return.

We've been coming to this hotel for years and appreciate it for it's location and the rates. It has amenities that we like to use and find it's always clean and the staff are available if you have questions. It's not overly fancy but the comfort and space of the rooms is great. For a place to stay for the night or start your day, it really can't be beat, whether it be for business or leisure.

    « Always a Comfortable Visit »

We've stayed at the Best Western Plus Pembina Inn & Suites several times for summer staycations over the years, and have never had a bad moment. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoy spending a lot of time at the pool and waterslide, and love the snacks they offer in the late afternoon. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety, and is included in the price of the room. The work-out area is on the smaller side, but has newer-looking equipment. The staff have consistently been friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

After driving straight from Saskatoon in bad weather, I was determined to call it a night. I saw the ad on the hwy and it look really nice, so I called to made the res and the agent said they were fully booked, and then she had a no show so I was lucky to get a room in this busy hotel. When I arrived I was greeted in a warmly way and and the rooms were comfortable and modern and the beds were amazing. Amazing hotel with amazing location. My number one choice when I'm back in town !

Excellent place to stay! Staff are exceptional. Very clean, the beds are extemely comfortable, Pillows and bedding are of high quality, lovely and no strong smells of laundry products. Accessible rooms are very comfortable. Great full breakfast! Would highly recommend this hotel.

    « Good value. »

The hotel was very clean and the housekeepers were very friendly and helpful if we needed anything ( location of hair dryer in room, another towel, etc). The parking was free. Electric stalls to plug your vehicle in during winter months. Many spaces and appeared very safe. No room service or restaurant in this hotel, but the service was still great. For the price you pay you get a good deal. The breakfast is decent. Fairly typical of its kind. The hot items such as bacon, waffles, eggs are a great touch. This is so valuable if you have family or just don't want to leave the hotel early in the morning to eat! The pool area was very clean and well kept. The area was safe and many restaurants on the street. I stayed in winter so we still drove everywhere, but I'm sure in the summer it is an easy walk. I'd recommend staying here if you want service and value at a budget hotel. No frills, but had everything I needed. ( aside from a restaurant and spa!). Clean, safe, comfortable and friendly.

    « Always a good stay »

We stayed for one night. Desk staff are friendly and helpful. Beds, towels, rooms all very clean. A great breakfast in the morning. One criticism - the parking spaces are very tight - like I said, it's a small critique! Pool is adequate, with tables and chairs and spaces for adults to watch the kids. We've stayed here before, and the experience is always the same.

    « Great place, but... »

At 11 pm, the cable and internet went out. Almost right on the nose. After a half hour of waiting, I called down to talk to the front desk and was informed that it was being looked into. The next morning on our way to checking out, I asked a cable-repair person what happened. He informed me that he hadn't been there working on it that long and was surprised that no call came in to be fixed until early the next morning. The breakfast was decent, the rooms were nice, the clerks were helpful, but it's hard to get past the idea that I was given the wrong information regarding the outage, as if to shoo me away (along with whoever else called), and so it makes it much more difficult to give this place a higher rating. What actually happened here? Why was a customer lied to?

    4
    « Surprised at comfort »

I wasn't sure what to expect with a Best Western but was pleasantly surprised. The room was very nice and comfortable, the only slight complaint I would have is that it was very noisy in the early mornings but that is due to the guests. The door to the room is not very soundproof. Great breakfast also.

« You can't go wrong with this hotel »

Stayed with daughter, son-in-law and 2 small grandchildren. Breakfast was very ample with eggs, pancakes, waffles, cereal, toast, yogurt, etc. Breakfast room was open all day for coffee & tea - a nice place to go if staying a few days. First that I have seen - soup and cracker snacks available in the evening. Rooms very clean, pool and area great. Best of all was the staff - they treated us as family - so pleasant and helpful

    « 100% recommend »

We are regular guests at the BW Pembina highway because we have family in town, and we are never disappointed with our stay. The hotel is well-priced, with ample parking, a pool with waterslide, breakfast (waffles, eggs, sausages + continental) and pet-friendly with great staff. But what has set our experience apart is when the staff have gone above and beyond for us. Most recently we were in town for a funeral and we were trying to put together a slideshow. The front desk staff generously offered us to use their scanner and were very happy and helpful although we were clearly imposing on their little back office space. We also utilized the "conference room" space for other meetings. During this time, we were also forced to bring along our large dog and 2 cats into our hotel room which the hotel accommodated gracefully. Our dog tried to go swimming in the Red River and came back COVERED in mud. The lady at the front desk kindly hooked up a hose for us outside to clean off the dog without seeming imposed upon (which we were... ) Aside from that, definitely recommend the Pony Corral next door for a dinner spot during the summer. The patio is amazing.

    « Great location »

Stayed at this location over the Thanksgiving long weekend. Over all the experience was great. Shuttle on web site was NOT available for pick up at airport on the Friday night after 6 pm. We made other arrangements, but for a long weekend, this was surprising.

    « Pet Friendly exellence »

We like to stay at this hotel in Winnipeg. The Pembina corridor gives easy driving access to any location in the city. They treat pets well. Staff bring you a large blanket for the bed complete with a couple of biscuits, doggie do not disturb tag for the door and a couple of small towels to wipe feet with. There is sufficient area outside to walk the dog. There is a good restaurant next door with an outdoor patio if you're there in the summer and a Starbucks within sight. A good location that we've stayed at many times. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast fresh and decent.

    « Great Place »

Excellent hotel to stay at. Good location close to many restaurants and close to shopping centers. Service is great and rooms and beds are very comfortable. Day starts with an excellent breakfast. Staff are always cleaning and making sure there is enough food for all the guests coming in. A must hotel to stay at.

    « Pleasant Stay »

My family and I recently stayed here as we had a family wedding. Staff were very pleasant, rooms were clean, pool was fun and the towels were plentiful. Breakfast was included...good choice of cereals, juices and fruit and the make-your-own waffles were good but the hot foods should be avoided...not so good.

    « Good place but »

We stayed here a year ago with a standard room. it was clean, comfortable with handy breakfast included. This time we had a queen suite - 402. Avoid this room. The bedroom shares a wall with a boiler room! The boil comes on periodically during the night with sufficient noise to wake us numerous times. To the credit of front desk staffer Josephine, we were promptly relocated to another room. The hotel staff was good, the place was clean, the breakfast was handy. The concern has been raised with hotel management. Rates were not adjusted.

« Always Friendly and Comfortable »

I travel regularly to Winnipeg, and the BW Pembina is my first choice for reasonable priced accommodations. I've always found the service to be utmost friendly, breakfast is good, and the rooms comfortable. A good place to call home away from home.

« One of the best hotels I've stayed in »

Beds were very comfortable, hotel very clean and welcoming with laundry facilities a bonus. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast was good and lots to choose from. Loved the swimming pool and water slide as did my Grandson. Was situated on a busy highway and next to a restaurant/bar but we were never disturbed by any noise. Will definitely stay here again when I return to visit family who live close by.
