"Great location, comfortable & clean room, friendly staff and good breakfast"

20/09/2018

We stayed 2 nights in September 2018. It is only minutes from the West entrance to Yellowstone so the location is fantastic. We had a large and very comfortable room complete with a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The beds were comfortable, the a/c-heater was quiet. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We thought the breakfast was bountiful and the coffee was actually quite good. Over and above all this, the front desk and breakfast staff were as cheerful, gracious, welcoming and friendly as one would ever want. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here.

"The location drives the price"

13/09/2018

The hotel was clean and the service was good, but the price definitely comes from the limited options in West Yellowstone not from the quality of the hotel. The rooms were older and mattress not the most comfortable and the breakfast was lacking, but the rooms were clean, the front desk staff was cheerful and helpful.

"Friendly"

We stayed at this hotel with our 2 granddaughters while on a trip to Our Yellowstone. Yes the hotel is dated but it was clean and the staff were friendly. The front desk staff was manned by 2 older couples. One of the males also served as the breakfast nook Sargent making sure everything was full and no one took anything out. The pool was clean and a little the small & the hot tub was working. It was close walking distance to main street shopping. Nice place for a 1 night quick stay. I did leave my $200 costa sunglasses there which the returned to me the following week by a great service called send it home. I would stay there again

"You're paying for the location"

This hotel is very dated with exterior metal stairs. I would never have stayed here if it weren't for it's closeness to Yellowstone. It is only a few miles from the Western Gate entrance. It is clean and there is a good free breakfast. But I think all the hotels here are pretty expensive.

"...it's market's law, isn't it ??"

27/08/2018

My wife and me spent three nights at this hotel during our visit to Yellowstone National Park. I will not spend too much time describing all the cons of this place (low quality/price ratio, motel-type structure, dark rooms (at least the one we were assigned at ground level), questionable security, small and overcrowded breakfast room, etc.). I will focus instead on some issues that definitely made my evaluation drop at "poor" level: - At our arrival I discovered that my credit card had been mistakenly disabled by my bank for security reasons (I live in Europe and they were supposing a possible cloning in the US). The man at the reception (possibly the property owner) stared at me as if I had just stolen his wallet... When I presented a second credit card on another circuit (and this was accepted as guarantee) he eventually relaxed but immediately took the opportunity to tell me that I would not receive any Best Western rewards points as I made the reservation through a third-party website... "Ok, fair enough" I said to myself, in the end I was on holiday and did not want to pay too much attention to a rude employee... - On our second morning I spotted a big insect inside our room (see photo). I asked politely at the reception to remove it, check the situation and if necessary sanitise the room. When we returned back to the hotel in the afternoon, the insect was exactly in the same position. I urged again the reception to solve the problem and a guy (possibly a supervisor) came to remove it (it turned out to be a big longhorn beetle or similar). He apologised for the inconvenience, promised us that they would have paid more attention during the room cleaning the next day, but confessed that he could not guarantee that other insects would not sneak into the room through the front door !!! - Finally, on our departure, I asked the lady at the reception to charge my bill on my first credit card (which had been re-enabled in the meanwhile). The lady made two payment requests (which were both authorised) but was not able to associate the invoice to them, so I eventually had to pay my stay with my second credit card. However, despite my recommendations, the hotel did not promptly release the deposit of more than 1800$ requested on my first card! Three days after our departure I called the reception asking for clarifications and they answered me that they were not holding any payment guarantee and I should solve MY problem (due to THEIR mistake...!!) with my bank or credit card company... As a result, I was forced to spend the remaining 11 days of our holiday with a credit card with a significant allowance reduction... I noticed that the Hotel Manager wrote in the answer to other TA reviews "prices are high but we offer close vicinity to Yellowstone Park": in other words "that's market's law, baby". Based on my experience, my suggestion to other travellers is "since market's law include competition, exploit it and for 300$/night choose another place for your stay in West Yellowstone..."

Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others.Authorizations happen when you make a reservation and continue until you check out, upon check out the hotel releases the authorization to the banks and it is than in their hands. We thoroughly enjoy our Best Western Reward members but are unable to issue points when booked through an OTA. Our hotel has two buildings, one with exterior entrances, one with interior, we do our very best to keep the elements outside - however from time to time nature will encroach on our territory, but that is half the beauty of the location. The town of West Yellowstone is a prime location and a seasonal location, because of these factors it is very expensive to stay here, but worth the convenience - if this comes as a shock, Cody, WY, Bozeman, MT, or Idaho Falls ID, are all within a 2 hour drive. We thank you for staying with us and for your remarks. We hope we can see you again on your next visit to Yellowstone National Park. A nice hotel in West Yellowstone, 2 blocks away from Yellowstone National Park west entrance gate. Friendly staff, nice breakfast as usual. The room was very clean and well organized. Our request for additional soaps and blankets were immediately accommodated.

The best place we have stayed, but the priced is considerably above our normal price range. We needed a last minute place to stay, and were happy to grab the vacance at the peek of the season. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast selection.

Prior to our vacation i had made a couple of calls to this location ensure that all of the booking stuff had gone through correctly. Ans it had. Upon our arival to the front desk Bill was already aware who I was and had everything ready for a quick and easy check in. The next morning we were very surprised by the large breakfast bar and all of the options. Easy and friendly checkout started a great day in Yellowstone park. Great job

Wonderful location - located close to Yellowstone entrance. Staff was great with restaurant suggestions, tips for Yellowstone, etc. West Yellowstine had plenty of restaurants, a Catholic Church, and stores within walking area. Our room was,a small room with a queen bed. Very clean and nice! The breakfast was a typical Best Western breakfast. I would stay here again.

"Decent but so expensive "

04/08/2018

We stayed two nights at the Best Western Weston during our honeymoon road trip that included a visit to Yellowstone Park. The evening staff was extremely welcoming and friendly, providing a great recommendation for dinner and offering cookies. The room was clean and well maintained and you could tell that it had been recently renovated (bathroom tile was modern, soap / shampoo dispensers in the bathroom, etc) but you could also tell that the building was old. We stayed in room 114, which was wheelchair accessible and perhaps larger than the others? It's located toward the back of the property so noise wasn't much of an issue. Breakfast was decent, sausage, eggs, waffles, breads, and biscuits and gravy. The breakfast room was cramped and difficult to navigate with multiple people, but the outdoor patio was nice when the weather allowed. The pool was a nice amenity, but overall I feel like $650 for two people staying two nights was a bit extreme. I'd gladly pay $100-$200 less for a hotel 10 minutes farther from the park.

David C, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others. Our location is a great base camp for your national park adventure, due to this and high demand the town of West Yellowstone sells out most every night. We are pleased you enjoyed our breakfast, we've been working hard to improve this and offer a wide selection. We thank you for staying with us and for your kind remarks. We hope we can see you again on your next visit to Yellowstone National Park. David Corliss, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Close to Yellowstone"

30/07/2018

We stayed two nights while visiting Yellowstone. The location is great. It's close to the entrance to the park and walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The rates are very high for such an average hotel. But I guess you're paying for the location. The rooms are clean and the WiFi is good. Breakfast was so so and the dining room is way too small.

Clean hotel Friendly and help full staff Great breakfast , starts at 6;00 am 3 min from entrance to Yellowstone!!! Great beds and bathrooms, they can improve on pillow quality , but a wonderful hotel if you planing to visit the park !!!! Love it!!

Very basic hotel. Needs refreshing! Filthy carpets, not very clean Cleaning service of the room is very poor. They hardly clean the room and toilet. No service. Personal at breakfast is friendly and helpfull. Breakfast room too small. You hardly can sit and walk. Breakfast is also poor! But we don't have choice and I think they know that the people need place to sleep overnight

David C, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others. Our ground floor units are very susceptible to tracking in dirt, because of this we do clean them on a rotating schedule as often as possible. Typically cleaning 2-3 rooms a day allowing no more than a week to clean the entire ground level before we start again. Our housekeeping staff works very hard to ensure the room is spotless when you check in, our typical stay-over cleaning refreshes your room and extra care is taken upon request. Breakfast is also on a rotating menu changing each day. We receive many compliments on our menu and are always looking for ways to change it. West Yellowstone is a destination location due to the national park, the entire town fills most every night during the summer, the nearest city is 88 miles and offers more budget friendly options. We thank you for staying with us and for your remarks. We hope we can see you again on your next visit to Yellowstone National Park. David Corliss, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Very close to Yellowstone"

27/07/2018

We stayed in 2 rooms at the Best Western Weston Inn for one night recently. The accommodations were average but very expensive. It's very close to the West Yellowstone entrance to the park, which is its greatest asset.

Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others. Our proximity to Yellowstone national park and the wonders within are fantastic for the someone wanting to get the most out of their vacation. We thank you for staying with us and for your kind remarks. We hope we can see you again on your next visit to Yellowstone National Park. 25/07/2018

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Yellowstone. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower had good water pressure with plenty of hot water. We stayed in a room that faced a large park with a play structure, which would be great for families traveling with children. It was also great to walk our dog in. The breakfast was standard hotel breakfast but the waffle maker were the highlight for our family. There are tables in front of the hotel with heaters, which make for a great place to eat breakfast or relax after a day of sightseeing. The hotel was also within walking distance to town. It was also just a few blocks to the west entrance to Yellowstone. I would recommend this place!

This is not the newest hotel but it is very clean and the staff are extremely nice. The rooms are well accommodated and the breakfast is delicious. I highly recommend this hotel. If a hotel is particularly good I give it high marks but almost always give an average mark for value for the money, however this hotel is well worth every penny you pay and the value for the money is excellent.

"Pay for the location - and nothing else"

2
17/07/2018

The price we paid was really excessive for the quality of the accommodation and the service received. A dark and dampish room with dated furniture, a very poor breakfast buffet and smiling but ineffective service. For instance when asking for butter for breakfast we were told there would be some the next day ! And even that didn't happen. But the location is excellent, five minutes from the west entrance to the park.

David C, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others. We just replaced all of our furniture 2 months ago in May 2018, it is brand new and has received many compliments. Our breakfast is also on a rotating menu with something different each day, we pride ourselves in keeping it fully stocked during breakfast. West Yellowstone is a resort town and a destination location, because of our proximity to the park there is a premium in the price all across town. Our staff work tirelessly to make our guests feel welcomed during their stay. We thank you for staying with us and for your remarks. We hope we can see you again on your next visit to Yellowstone National Park. David Corliss, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Great Staff"

16/07/2018

The stand out at this motel was the friendly staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly and went out if their way to make us feel welcome. We stayed in the kitchenette suite. The kitchen was convenient, but unfortunately we couldn't use the sofa bed in the living room area because it can't fully extend without hitting the TV cabinet. That made sleeping space very tricky for our family. Also be aware that there is no TV or air conditioning unit in the bedroom of this suite. All in all we had a good (albeit expensive) stay.

"Quiet and Friendly"

4
10/07/2018

The property is old but well maintained. The room was clean and large. It provided a great resting spot because of park located across street that my kids loved, quiet with no street noise, and pool to get the wiggles out. It is close to shopping and restaurants. The breakfast was as expected for Best Western. Best of all was the friendly and helpful staff. July makes all motels expensive. It would be more affordable in the off season.

David C, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others. "Overpriced"

3
16/06/2018

I paid well over 2x more here for one night than any other best Western. It is just a basic motel with a great location to Yellowstone. Breakfast was good. Our room was comfortable and clean but I didn't like the sheets, they felt old and unpressed. $347 for 1 night was too much, but I guess it's all about location.

"Unexpected, Surprising Experience"

5
15/06/2018

The AC in our room was not cooling. The hotel manager, David, took it upon himself to exchange it with a working one. These units are big and heavy, but he carried the working one up 3 flights of stairs and the non working one down 3 flights of stairs so that we would be comfortable for the night. Not only did he surpass our expectations, but he managed to keep all the rooms occupied by inconveniencing himself. All the staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms clean and well furnished. A truly wonderful experience.

"Great base location for touring Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks "

5
02/06/2018

We stayed 5 nights at this location as our base for touring Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The rooms were cleaned and had encased mattress cover on 1 of the 2 beds in our room. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. They provided wonderful suggestions and was always making sure you were having a good time. The Breakfast area can get crowded but with the outdoor patio area there was plenty of places to find a spot to enjoy the plentiful breakfast. Hotel is about 35-60 minutes from Old Faithful depending on traffic and animal crossings and about 2 1/2 hours to Grand Teton. This is a definite recommendation if you planning to enjoy the National Parks or just stopping by at West Yellowstone, Montana.

"Great Place to Stay Before or After Visiting Yellowstone National Park"

The price is right, the service terrific, the employees friendly, large room, extensive breakfast, close to other amenities - it's a perfect place to stay before or after going into Yellowstone. Highly recommended.

"Conveniently located, expensive, friendly and accomodating staff."

21/05/2018

All the hotels around Yellowstone are expensive, so not much can be done about that. The BW Weston Inn is located close to the west entrance to Yellowstone Park, with restaurants, shopping, and gas close by. The staff were warm and friendly, very nice heated deck for enjoying a cocktail. Our room was very small wtih poor lighting.

A typical USA motel, good rooms, has an outdoor pool and hot tub. The pool is not large but we were lucky as no one else was using it. Complimentary breakfast and access to drinks 24hrs, tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Good out door seating area although a lot of lorrys passing as the main road to Bozeman.

The Best Western Weston Inn is an excellent option for a stay in West Yellowstone. It's conveniently located just off N Canyon Street where the majority of the shops and restaurants are. The room was nice and featured a fridge, microwave, HD TV with DirecTV (lots of channels) and free Wi-Fi, but no safe. The complimentary breakfast set you up for the day with a good selection including scrambled eggs, sausage patties, hash browns, cereals, oatmeal, biscuits & gravy, bread, waffles, yoghurt and fruit. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

10/10/2017

this Best Western is in West Yellowstone, MT. the gateway to Yellowstone National Park. Hotel was very clean and served our lodging needs while on a road trip. Friendly staff on each shift who were knowledgable about places to eat and local services. We especially liked that we could walk to many shops while visiting and leave our vehicle parked at the hotel.

Very convenient being so close to Yellowstone National Park. The room was comfortable and the breakfast had a lot of choice. The staff were very helpful. It was a nice gesture to have free drinks and biscuits after coming back from a day in Yellowstone Park.

09/10/2017

We needed to stay an additional night and the associate made this happen. She was there when we checked in and there was a gentleman there too and he made a suggestion for a steak place and it was great. The next morning this lady helped us with travel plans, I cannot remember her name but she was really great too. Also the next morning we left and had to return because my husband forgot his wallet and she escorted us to the room and there was his wallet, right on the floor. All of them were so wonderful to us. You should stay at this hotel when you visit Yellowstone.

"Basic and old property "

3
06/10/2017

Probably the last property on the main strip. The town is small anyway so nothing is too far away. Room on the expensive side for what it is. We paid half the amount in SLC for similar. Everything in this town has prices marked up for the tourists, even maccas. Room door handle opens the other way. We struggled a few times only to work it out much later. Internet is shocking. Breakfast room too small. Too crowded and people queuing. First morning we started at 6am and it was very busy. Next morning we had bfast at 6.45am and it was fairly empty. Nothing fantastic. Very basic. Hot food not great. Shower has no adjustments so it was quite a hard massage on the body. Can't adjust the pressure. Staff very nice.

Rooms are comfortable and clean. This is our second time staying here, last year we stayed her with our granddaughters. Breakfast is good, although the breakfast room is long and narrow and can get crowded.

25/09/2017

Had a great stay at the Best Western Weston Inn with our dog! Room was extremely clean and across from a park for easy dog-walking. Breakfast was standard continental with biscuits and gravy, sausage and eggs, oatmeal, waffles, cereal, and mixed baked items - nothing great but not bad either. Short walk to main strip with bars and restaurants. Friendly staff. Would stay again if in area!

"Great hotel in West Yellowstone"

24/09/2017

Best hotel we stayed at on a weeklong trip to Yellowstone. Very comfortable room and mattress, very friendly staff and complete breakfast. Location is really close to the best area of the park- trust me! We saw it all!

"good stay"

4
22/09/2017

good stay, nice helpful staff, hotel is older so room décor is a bit dated but everything was clean and functioned properly so I would recommend this hotel. Breakfast area was a bit on the small side and the selection wasn't as big as some others but OK overall. I rated the value average only because this hotel is expensive due to it's location next to Yellowstone.

"Most Accommodating Hotel Ever"

5
22/09/2017

We toured Yellowstone for 3 days and stayed here 3 nights. Extremely friendly service, nice, clean rooms with all the amenities. Breakfast bar is excellent with home cooked breakfasts with a kitchen staff. Our group of 6 usually has a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers before dining out. We asked if we could use their breakfast room and without hesitation they did all they could to accommodate us as well as giving us nice warm cookies while we sat! The morning staff of Jaime and David were extremely nice (we later learned they were the managers) and the evening staff were just as friendly! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants the friendliest place to stay right outside of the Yellowstone west gate!

"A friendly, comfortable place to stay--especially for mobility-impaired travelers"

20/09/2017

We really enjoyed our two nights at the best Western Weston. The owners and staff are very friendly, greeting us with home-made cookies. They invited us to join them and other guests in the evening around a firepit. Although we did not take advantage of this, we appreciated being invited. Since one of us uses a power wheel-chair, we especially appreciated the handicapped-accessible room, with all the necessary bars in the bathroom and shower. I believe the motel has two such rooms. We had dedicated handicapped parking right outside our room. In addition, the (small) swimming pool has a chair lift to enable mobility-impaired guests to get into the pool. We also got an excellent recommendation about a place to go for dinner--the Buffalo Bar, with good food and local beer. Although there is no guest laundry, there is a laundromat next door.

"so very close to Yellowstone"

This is a nice hotel. Terrific staff. Friendly and quite helpful. A bit older of a hotel, but well maintained. Everything was great, but I think the mattress was a bit hard, doable but I've slept on worse. And yes, this motel is so very close to the gate of Yellowstone, loved that. So, this motel is worth staying at, for sure. (like I said, nice hotel, but I think the price could be lower). No elevator too.

"An ok motel with great customer service "

20/09/2017

A nice place to stay in West Yellowstone that has complimentary breakfasts and a nice outside seating area. The motel rooms are ok and with a little more thought from other customers could be quiet! Please stop the shouting and running directly outside the upstairs rooms! Fantastic customer service and Susan could not do enough for us and her home made cookies are lovely! Great base for visiting Yellowstone NP although not a lot going for the town of West Yellowstone! Thanks Susan for your effort!

"Average hotel in a good location"

19/09/2017

This quality of this hotel is standard for the Best Western chain. We did not care for the location of our room which was down some stairs to a semi-basement level. However, we had no specific complaints about the room itself which had typical corporate decor and furnishings. The bed was OK, but the pillows were old and uncomfortable. We liked the free breakfast which had some healthy choices. The best aspect of this hotel is its location - really close to the entrance to Yellowstone and walking distance to many restaurants, shops and the movie theater. The hotel is expensive ($240 for double room) for an average quality property.

19/09/2017

Excellent friendly staff, superb hot breakfast included, coffee/tea 24/7 in lobby, microwave and fridge in immaculate room, hair dryer, coffee maker too! Laundry right next door and the pool looked great although we didn't use it. Within walking distance to great restaurants and souvenir stores...as well as a supermarket. Of our entire 12 day trip to Wyoming/Montana/Colorado, these were by far our best three nights! Thank you, Best Western!

"Fantastic Folks at the Front Desk!!!!"

14/09/2017

We met Sherry and Jon when we arrived and you couldn't ask for better folks. You instantly felt like they had been friends forever. They filled us in on the area and where to head for dinner. When we returned in the evening we met Jamie and David and they were just as welcoming and friendly! Great folks all four!!!! The rooms are pricey but you'll find that the case wherever you stay during the summer season in West Yellowstone. Our room was clean and comfortable but is old and in need of updating and the like. We were able to park right outside our door which made unloading and loading easy. Breakfast was good which you become accustomed to with BW.

"Fantastic Staff"

11/09/2017

We had a wonderful experience here. The rooms and amenities were great and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. A real pleasure to deal with. The breakfast area was always well stocked and refilled in timely fashion. And the outdoor deck with heaters is a very pleasant place to relax.

"Don't stay here PRICEY"

10/09/2017

We stayed on a Friday night, room total charge $271.72!!!!!! We have been at 5 motels, in the last 10 days in Jackson Hole and Yellowstone, staying at both 3 diamond and 2 diamond. We was not sure of this place when we first drove up, we asked to see our room, they had sprayed a deodorizer in each room they showed us, as if they were trying to cover up a smell. It took our breathe away it was so overwhelming!!! We did not want to stay here at all, but AAA had booked this for us and would not open till Tuesday. We left this place although the couple showing us the rooms were very nice. We checked out 3 other motels, 3 diamond rating, all were almost a $100 cheaper. Even the Best Western on Canyon Ave, 3 diamond, 2 blocks away, from this motel, looks so much better for the same night, room rate $170, plus tax, stay at BW on canyon at.

Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others. As I am sure you noticed throughout the duration of your trip, Montana has been having an air quality alert due to the wildfires, the "smell" mentioned is an air purifying DE-ionizer to keep the smoke out of the rooms and ensure the health of our guests. In regards to price, you had booked this two-months prior at a great rate, we are in line with other hotels in town. We thank you for staying with us and for your remarks. We hope we can see you again on your next visit to Yellowstone National Park. David Corliss, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

This Best Western is a great value for the amenities received in an area that is always expensive because of the tourist trade. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this Hotel for value and cleanliness.

Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others. Great location. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Four blocks from the park entrance. Hotel breakfast was better than most and there were homemade cookies. There is a covered deck right outside the front door. It has tables and chairs, a heater for the cold, and plenty of hot chocolate. We spent a good deal of time there enjoying relaxing and visiting with family.

The room was clean all except the carpet needs to be cleaned. My socks were black from walking across it. Nice accommodations. Breakfast was great. The management were very very nice. Not used to that where I come from. It was nice because it was right there at the entrance to Yellowstone. Close to all of the restaurants.

I was in a party of four sharing 2 rooms prebooked for the night before the total eclipse. The manager at the front desk was careful to promptly turned people away from the waiting line because he just sold the last room. After we checked in, the manager spotted from his room list a booking under a similar but slightly different name, and checked with us. It turned out my partner's first call was cut off after he provided his credit card information, but before he got a confirmation number, and he called to confirm there was no booking before he booked again (and it turned out the first booking with the main franchise was through but the name was mis-spelt). The manager quickly sorted this out so we would not be double-charged (and they also sold those two room later, much to our relief). They gave us really nice eclipse glasses. Then, in the morning, when most people left 5:30-5:45am to drive south to the path of totality, and missing the breadfast from 6-10am, they prepared packages to go. We're very grateful for the kindness shown by the manager and other staff. Aside: the room was clean and comfortable, and well equipped.

Arrived in the early afternoon. Found the motel to be easy to locate and near the downtown area. The staff was friendly and efficient. They provided recommendations to the various restaurants and things to see and do. Susan went out of her way to ensure our stay was pleasant and fun. The motel has a repetitively new patio with fire pit. The rooms were adequate in size, clean and comfortable. Breakfast had both warm and cold items available. The motel is within three blocks of many good restaurants and item shops. The museum also falls within this radius. This will be my stopping place in West Yellowstone.

12/08/2017

After spending a day in Yellowstone with my elderly parents, we enjoyed a quiet, comfortable evening at the BestWestern Weston Inn. The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. The staff was fantastic, recommending a great place for dinner and offering us beverages and a nice fire to sit around during the evening. Breakfast included many hot and cold options and was a nice inclusion as it allowed us an early morning start back into the park. This property is very conveniently located and I will stay here again.

10/08/2017

Spencer was great. Very informative and went above and beyond to help. The female hotel manager was super enthusiastic and really loved her job, even tending to the breakfast area to help out joyfully. The rooms were much nicer than I expected. Very comfy beds. Clean.

"Pool bugs"

2
09/08/2017

The pool was filled with bugs and debris as well as the spa. For the price of this Hotel I expected to have a pool for our family to enjoy together as well as the spa. The beds are hard. The hot water was very little with the faucet turned all the way to hot. Needs some work. It was surprising to see when the staff said it was the "New" addition.

David C, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others. Our outdoor pool is cleaned three times daily and as needed, being an outdoor pool has it's challenges as the weather in West Yellowstone can change on a moments notice. We also recently purchased the mattresses, which receive many compliments. I hope you and your family were able to enjoy your time in West Yellowstone and our proximity to the dining, shops, and park entrance. We thank you for staying with us and for your remarks. We hope we can see you again on your next visit to Yellowstone National Park. David Corliss, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Great hotel, though pricey"

5
09/08/2017

The hotel itself was very nice. The staff was fantastic. This is an older hotel, outside entrances to the rooms, but the rooms have been recently updated and the beds very comfortable. Everything thing was very clean. We couldn't hear the outside noise at all -- (a lot of LOUD motorcycles around due to Sturgess being held in a few days), with the AC running (AC was terribly loud either). There is a park across from the hotel, with a playground. My kids enjoyed the pool. Rooms were pricey though.

09/08/2017

I travelled with my parents from the uk. We spent three nights in canyon and then three nights here. This hotel was perfect. It was very clean, superb friend and helpful staff. The breakfast was brilliant- getting to make my own waffles was exciting in itself! A great choice, a fabulous selection of teas and coffees available 24 hrs a day plus tea and coffee in the room. The hot chocolate was yummy too!! Perfect location, able to walk to everywhere we needed to. Plenty of parking too. Would highly recommend x

"Convenient location"

4
06/08/2017

The inn is very expensive in an area that is high priced, but we spent one night at this inn. The hotel is nothing special for the price that you pay. I suspect that due to the short season and the inn's location, it is more expensive than what you would pay for a similar accommodation elsewhere. I did like the people at the check-in. They were a very lovely husband and wife team working behind the desk. The inn is within easy walking distance to all town shopping restaurants. The hotel, like many other Best Westerns, has a 24-hour front desk, which would be helpful for long-distance travelers who arrive late or want to check out early. WiFi was fine. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub. If you do make a reservation, make sure that when you arrive you know which Best Western by address you are staying at, because there are three Best Westerns in town! I was impressed by the service. We had an issue with the shower head, called upon them to fix it, and we went out to dinner. When we returned, they had already installed a completely new shower head! My only complaint about this facility was that they had very limited seating space for the breakfast area, and it was very crowded.

"Only chain hotel we could find literally just outside the park, and price was right!"

03/08/2017

We got nervous once we exited the park late at night to see tons of mom and pop motels. It would have been fine and more of an adventure had it been just hubs and I, but we also had my mom and our 7yo and toddler with us. Luckily we phoned 2 days earlier and they had a cancelation. We were on 2nd floor, no elevator. Parking lot was small and needed more light, but there was extra parking a few yards away. Pool was outside and across the parking lot. We got a small queen suite. It was a bit cramped for the 5 of us, but we made do and slept well. The bathroom was just big enough to turn around in, but nice. New tile. Good shower, had a rainfall shower head and mounted shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers, but there wasn't any shower gel in ours. The shampoo smelled and felt amazing! Nice surprise. The AC was not consistent and got a little warm middle of the night no matter what we did with it, but was finally nice before we woke up. Breakfast was good too- again, tight quarters but we had it all to ourselves for quite a while since it seemed everyone else left for the park much earlier lol. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and asked about us and our trip. Very nice visit all around!

Overnight stay near Yellowstone on my way to Seattle for an Alaska Trip. Best Western was the Best stay of my travels. Friendy and efficent staff, very clean room. Close to shopping and resturants. Nice Breakfast Room and lots of choices.

"Great Spot!"

31/07/2017

The breakfast area was a bit small but boy oh boy was the park beautiful the whole town was small so nothing was far. We walked everywhere in town, a good change of pace from sitting in the car for so long! The staff here was FANTASTIC! Front desk was helpful. I believe they were the managers but I am not sure. Price was a bit high, but worth not driving another couple of hours. Great Stay!

"3 day stay in West Yellowstone"

5
30/07/2017

Across from park that allows your dog to be off leash. This was a great hotel. The only complaint I have is parking is in front of the hotel room doors and some people get in and out of their cars and honk the horn every time they lock it. We had someone in front of our room who got in and out of their car at least 20 times beginning at 6am and locked the car honking the horn every time. The vehicle locks without the horn honk people!

"One of our best hotels during the journey"

29/07/2017

We were very happy with this hotel, nice and large rooms and the city center with restaurants and shops is less than 5 minutes away by foot. The breakfast was excellent, they offered full hot breakfast. A very little negative point; it was sometimes a bit loud (we guess if someone had a shower on the floor above). And the room rate are very high but therefore the west entrance is just a few minutes away.

David C, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others. I am more than pleased you enjoyed our location being minutes from the shops and restaurants of West Yellowstone and less than a mile from the park entrance. Our breakfast changes daily and is available 6am-10am included with your stay. We are typically full every day of the summer and do ask guests to be mindful of others with their noise levels. We thank you for staying with us and for your kind remarks. We hope we can see you again on your next visit to Yellowstone National Park. "Big price for not so great motel"

27/07/2017

We stayed here after a day in Yellowstone. The staff was pleasant and helpful at check in. Room was clean and a good size with a frig and microwave. The breakfast was adequate...both hot and cold items. However, the price charged is way too much.

"Best Western at its Best!"

26/07/2017

We had a great stay on our trip to Yellowstone. The hotel location is ideal for exploring the park with easy access to its major landmarks. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious! The best part was the hotel staff! All employees were cordial, welcoming and attentive to our every need. We also enjoyed the food at the local restaurants. Would definitely stay there again!

"Best Western Weston Inn...........A great pick among nothing but poor choices."

24/07/2017

In a small town with limited choices, this place is highly recommended. There are simply no good choices in this area, so get over it. Don't go thinking you're going to get a four-star hotel in this area. This is definitely not big city hotels and most major top brand name hotels do not offer anything in this area. The kicker is that these low budget hotels charge prices higher than east coast name brand hotels. So in a nutshell you get third world hotels and western prices. Saying all that, this place did offer a limited breakfast with a few hot items. There are no bad locations in a town this size. Our location was in walking distance to everything, no more than 5-10 minute walk at max to every store in town. The people working at this hotel are the highlights to your visit. They will do almost anything to make your stay enjoyable. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about the staff, they were all top-notch and really cared about their clients. The rooms on the other hand is a different story, I'm just not use to such small rooms for three people. The rooms are very small especially when the bed is directly in the middle of the room. If you stay here the thing to do is enjoy at Yellowstone and not be in the room. Cheers MarylandVacation

"A nice experience but expensive."

23/07/2017

We were greeted with a very pleasant and friendly staff but this is the most expensive Best Western we have ever stayed at. We also stayed at the Best Western down the street, Best Western Desert and found it to be a better value but still expensive.

19/07/2017

This hotel is amazing. The employees went out of their way to help us in any way possible! The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and a great location to Yellowstone National Park. We visited a few restaurants in town, and the Wolf and Bear Sanctuary.

"Great hotel"

17/07/2017

The room was roomy. It had wall dispensers for shampoo, etc , which is better than little plastic bottles. The breakfast was phenomenal. There were fresh bakes cookies every afternoon. Clean outdoor pool and spa. Thick towels. Front desk staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Overall great stay. Just outside West entrance to Yellowstone.

17/07/2017

With limited choice of Hotels in Yellowstone, I would recommend this one for stays by the weston entrance, it is less than 1/2 mile from the western entrance, its typical Motel layout, clean a d comfortable rooms and accomdating staff. Hotels in this area are very expensive in comparison with the average.

"Warm, welcoming staff & perfect location"

5
12/07/2017

We were traveling to Yellowstone National Park and couldn't have asked for a more welcoming, friendly experience at the Weston Inn. The hotel location was perfect! It was less than a 5 minute drive to the park. The park across the street from our room was ideal for regular dog walks with our pup. The room was very close to town - we walked to get dinner every night. Most memorable of all - the hotel employees were exceptional! We were warmly welcomed every time we entered the lobby. They provided great recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. The employees made our whole stay cheery.

"The only surprise was that it was nicer than we expected"

5
11/07/2017

Reasonable prices for West Yellowstone. Not a 5-star hotel, and it isn't trying to be. It is very good and very pleasant for what it is. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and everything works. Wifi was nice and strong. Breakfast room is a bit cramped, but the food was decent and there were additional tables in the lobby and outside. Location is great, very close to the park entrance. Overall positive experience and I would stay there again.

"Great location!"

4
10/07/2017

We really like this hotel. It is located right at the town center, very convenient. I have to say probably the best location for enjoying the facilities for a family. All restaurants are nearby. The hotel is very clean. The only inconvenience is no elevator.

"Great location, poor stairs"

3
10/07/2017

Liked location, particularly for July 4 fireworks! The outside staircases are unsuitable for bare feet, and steps are too narrow for my foot size. I was unable to find an elevator, which made it difficult to take bags to the 2nd floor rooms

"A place to stay"

3
10/07/2017

Location is good because it's very close to west entrance of yellow stone national park. Hotel is so so since everything is a little bit old and bed is not very comfortable. Water pipe needs better maintenance.

"Great Hotel!"

5
06/07/2017

After pulling in to the hotel late (long drive from California!), the staff was very helpful and attentive. Our room was very comfortable and we slept well. In the morning, we were only about 5 minutes from the entrance to Yellowstone - very convenient!! My only complaint was that the continental breakfast lacked bagels and other finger foods for the road. (Also, the fruit was a bit old.) All in all, though I plan to return!

"Horrible full breakfast"

1
04/07/2017

The motel rooms were thin walled. You could hear everything next door. The breakfast that was advertised as full consisted of fake, processed eggs, fake processed sausages and very processed biscuits. Don't offer a full breakfast if your just going to serve jail food. The staff were all very nice, but there was no value in our stay. We paid $279 plus tax. Please consider offering a different type of breakfast. Maybe it's because I'm from California and we are accustomed to fresh whole food, but the food was simply inedible. Really gross. Macdonalds would have been healthier probably.

David C, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others. Our full breakfast differs from a continental breakfast because we do offer hot eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits/gravy, waffles, and oatmeal, as well as cold options from whole fruit, to yogurt, cereal, and pastries. We rotate our offerings daily; so, depending on length of stay you will have a nice variety to choose from. The proximity of our hotel is less than 1 mile from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park, and walking distance to anything in town. We do offer complimentary parking, an upgraded WiFi service, a heated pool, and knowledge of the area. We thank you for staying with us and for your remarks. We hope we can see you again on your next visit to Yellowstone National Park. David Corliss, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Helpful, clean and dog friendly!"

5
01/07/2017

This place is a gem if you are travelling with a dog. The fee is only $10 and they gave me a couple treats and a sheet to help protect the bed from dog wear and tear. I was able to keep this sheet too. After learning I was travelling alone with a dog and infant they offered express check out promptly. Room was clean , standard free breakfast, well kept facilities and great location.

David C, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others. In addition to the treats and sheet we are also located right across from the dog friendly city park. Walking distance to the little town of West Yellowstone. There are tons of shops and restaurants. We stayed in the back building. It has been updated very very nicely and is very comfortable. "Clean, comfortable, and convenient"

4
28/06/2017

Yes - we paid out the nose for a Best Western, but it was peak season and given June's propensity for variable weather - I'm really glad we did. It snowed and rained the days we stayed here. The room was clean and comfortable, and plenty spacious. There's warm breakfast every morning. The location is very central - plenty parking - and a city park right outside if you have kiddos. Friendly staff too. Very good wifi, which is really helpful since we had close to no cell reception. Would stay here again if we go back up to Yellowstone.

"Pleasant hotel conveniently situated."

4
26/06/2017

The staff at this hotel were all very pleasant and friendly. We had a reasonable sized room on the 3rd floor. Be aware, that if you have a mobility problem, there are no elevators. There is parking but insufficient. However parking across the road is available. Situated on a busy road junction we found traffic noise an issue. Breakfast is average but the dining area is far, far too small. We were pleased to have stayed here and whilst the price charged was competitive for West Yellowstone, the costs to stay here was outrageous. We have stayed in full service 5* hotels in many capital cities around the world for less money.

"Good West Yellowstone Hotel"

4
25/06/2017

The location was great, the staff was friendly, breakfast was good, only issue was the price, but that is to be expected in peak season in Yellowstone, It is pet friendly which was great, overall no big issues.

"Very happy with this Best Western"

22/06/2017

We stayed for two nights while visiting Yellowstone (like everyone else I assume) and were totally satisfied with our choice. Check in was easy and friendly, rooms clean and well equipped. We were in ground floor rooms with parking right outside the door and although I could hear a little noise from the room above it was not a problem at night. Breakfast was good, but like most of these smallish hotels the breakfast rooms are small and the cold weather made eating at the outside tables not an option. The trick is to be there when it opens, or if you're not after an early start, wait a bit. It is an easy walk to the shops and eateries in the main street and a couple of minutes to the park entrance.

"Excellent rooms, service and breakfast"

5
20/06/2017

Check in process was fast. Service was excellent. People were courteous and friendly. Rooms were pleasantly good. Excellent in fact. From outside it does not look like the rooms inside are going to be nice. But we were pleasantly surprised. They have a swimming pool and a hot tub which are nice. Rooms are clean, nice and updated amenities. Even though the rooms were pricey, its worth the price. Breakfast had lots of choice and was excellent.

Stayed here for a week, the staff were very friendly. We were given a room in the 'new section' on the ground floor, the room was very clean and spacious, it looked out onto a fence. As we were out all day we did not worry about the view. The week we stayed there was a terrible 'banging' from the water pipes every time anyone used the water or flushed the toilet, during the day this was not an issue but when it happened through out the night it was very annoying. We did mention this to the reception staff who were very apologetic and reported that the manager has slept in the rooms and was aware of the noise and was trying to fix it. Also the rooms are not particularly sound proof - we heard every footstep, sneeze and snore from upstairs, they were like a herd of elephants marching across the room and they were always up at 5.15am !!! This was also very annoying. The breakfast area was quite small and had very limited seating (although there was outside seating for in the summer) it was also very hot in the breakfast room. The choice of buffet breakfast was great and plenty of it and very tasty. The man who worked in the breakfast room was very busy, he was always replenishing food and drink and very helpful if you needed something. Tables were always clean. If staying here I would request an upstairs room and get to breakfast earlier rather than later. The hotel is easy waling distance to shops and restaurants.

Super nice and friendly staff, good location for a Yellowstone visit, although it was too cold to use the outdoor pool or jacuzzi at the hotel. The room was well maintained and comfortable with good breakfast selection included.

This hotel was great! Rooms were biggy. My hubs enjoyed having the nice chair in the room to watch t.v. Breakfast was out of this world, the service of the breakfast room was great. The employees worked as a team really well, stocking and keeping the tables cleaned in between people. I didn't realize the pool was heated until check out. SO mental note for next time.

Very pleasant and helpfull reception staff and the room on the third floor was very quiet, although we were a distance from the pool and breakfast area this was not a problem to us. The breakfast room was very small and breakfast counter congested. although there was outside seating the weather didn't allow its use.

A nice Best Western. Request room in the new building if booking there. Location is great for visiting Yellowstone, with the park entrance only about 1 mile from hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff and very clean.

Conveniently located for access to Yellowstone National Park. In walking distance to local shops and restaurants Helpful staff on reception Comfortable beds and very substantial breakfast, although the room can be a little cramped if everyone comes down together. Complimentary coffee in reception and home made cookies by one of the receptionists. Very Yummy

We stayed two nights. It is such an easy access to Yellowstone. Close driving or walking to stores and restaurants. Nice large room. Comfy and clean. Refrigerator and microwave. Nice fast free wifi. Does serve a lot of choices for breakfast. This would have been 5 star but the first morning the eggs, potatoes and sausage gravy was cold. Next morning it was hot and the oatmeal was delicious! Would stay again. Friendly staff

"Nice enough for proximity to the park"

This hotel's rating is higher for me just because of how close it is to the west entrance of the park; it's nice to leave the park and not have to drive another long distance to get back to the hotel. My brother actually booked a room at the Best Western Desert Inn down the street, thinking it was the same as ours, so I was able to compare them. This one unfortunately is much older, and you can see some of the wear in places. Our door closed and locked but didn't quite seal all the way, so the wind and cold air came in through the sliver it was ajar. The room itself looked like it had been recently renovated, The bed (which is most important) was comfortable and I slept well. The downside to this hotel is it's more motel style in layout - we went in mid-May, and it actually snowed 5 inches the first night we were there. So unfortunately when we got up for breakfast in the lobby, we had to bundle up and walk on the exterior stairs and down the building outside to get to the lobby. The breakfast area was pretty tight and there were a lot of people there. I could see in the summer how the outdoor seating could spread every one out more but it was 28 and everyone was huddled in. Their selections were mostly what you'd expect at a continental breakfast, but limited in inventory (eggs, sausage, some bread options, oatmeal, gravy). All in all if you're not picky, it was still a decent enough stay, clean and comfortable.

We had rooms booked here quite awhile ago & a few weeks ago we had the opportunity to be in West Yellowstone. We drove by and saw a motel type cinder block looking throw back to an earlier era. Hoping for the best, a few weeks later we arrived to check in during the early evening after spending the day in Yellowstone. Our check in was very cordial & they had located our 2 rooms next to each other. I believe they called them "family rooms" & we found them to be quite spacious & comfortable. There were 2 queen beds & a sofa that made into a bed. The bathroom was updated & there was a closet area between the bathroom & the vanity, which was a long vanity with lots of room. We had plenty of plug ins for charging our devices & free wifi. Breakfast had several hot items, including cheese omelets & oatmeal. Everyone in our group found plenty to get the day started right. The attendant kept busy keeping everything stocked & accommodating requests to locate items. He brought our 7 year old chocolate chips to accompany a muffin. That was a hit! The morning staff in the lobby were also first rate & very friendly. In fact, all staff we encountered during the one night stay were exceptional. Glad to have this property on our radar should we have the chance to stay in West Yellowstone again.

This was a great place to start our trip to Yellowstone. It's right by the park entrance and much less expensive than staying in the park. We had a room in the newer section that was nice. I'm not sure what the other rooms were like on the inside, but the windows on the first floor looked small.

Clean, handy, located close to West End of Yellowstone. Easy traveling in and out of the area. Many restaurants in area and a Dairy Queen. We enjoyed our car being able to be parked with easy access. The breakfast was fine (we do not eat meat) so the waffle and fruit was exceptional

this hotel is worth the money. Cheerful & positive staff in the lobby. Cleaning crew is also friendly and the maintenance folks are friendly. Breakfast is hot with scrambled eggs one day, cheese omlets the next, and egg sandwichs the next. Always had either sausage links or patties (hot), taters n gravy n biscuts. good choice of cereals, jucies, yogurt, fruit and toast. Waffles were great also. Bed was very comfortable and water pressure in shower (soft water) was good and water temperature good even if you sleep in. I'd 100% recommend this hotel and expect on my next trip to Yellowstone that I will Stay here again. thank you for making my time in West Gate, MT memorable.

We stayed in the Best Western Weston Inn for one night during our 2-week trip to Yellowstone. We got a room in the adjacent building in the lower level, which I feared would be loud during the busy tourist season. I got a great night's sleep though. The town of West Yellowstone is very commercial, but from this hotel you can walk to any number of restaurants or other entertainment. Free buffet breakfast here was especially good---better than most on our trip. West Yellowstone & this hotel are very close to west gate of the park. Everyone on the desk---when we checked in & when we left---was friendly and welcoming. ***TIPS: Keep in mind, you pay more for the convenience of being close to the park. We alternated staying nearby (more expensive hotels) and further away to save money. Also, if you stay in West Yellowstone in the summer, be prepared to rise VERY early to avoid long lines at the gate. There are LOTS of hotels here & virtually every visitor is going to the park.

Jim b, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for sharing your comments on your stay with us. We appreciate your taking the time to respond and agree that West Yellowstone offers travelers the convenience of just being a few blocks from the popular west entrance of the park. And the town also offers many fine restaurants, shops and attractions, most within walking distance of the hotel. We are glad you had a good night's sleep and enjoyed our complimentary breakfast service. We hope to see you again. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

We weren't sure exactly where we would end up so didn't look for a place to stay till leaving Yellowstone. As soon as we got reception again we began calling places. Lots of places were booked. This location was more than we wanted to spend for just an average looking hotel but they had an availability so we took it. The girls/women that checked us in were super friendly and breakfast the next morning was tasty and hot. Our issue was with the beds. OMG I think the floor might have been softer. We both woke the next morning completely exhausted because neither one of us slept well.

Jim b, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments on your recent stay with us. I apologize that you found the beds were too firm for your comfort. We are considering replacing the beds when we replace all the guest room furniture before we re-open next springs. This will include new headboards, entertainment centers, end tables, desks and chairs in each of our guest rooms. Our mattresses are high quality and rarely are the source of complaints from our guests, but we may replace them anyway as a part of our constant improvement and investment in the hotel. In fact, most of the comments about the comfort of our beds are positive. Again we are very sorry that you found the beds were uncomfortable. We do appreciate the kind words about our staff and breakfast service. Hopefully you will give us another chance on a future visit to the Yellowstone National Park area. Good and spacious romes. Clean and nice shower. Complementary breakfast was sufficient. Desk personal was verry helpful. Pool was already empty. Easy to walk to nearby restaurants, if they are open, lots were closed during our visit.

Jim b, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your comments and the time you took you share them. Yes, mid-October is a transistion time at Yellowstone National Park and, of course, the weather becomes more challenging with colder temperatures and more precipitation (snow yesterday). Consequently, many business close during the winter months to await the summer high season, which typically runs from May through early October. The drop-off of visitor traffic in the park in October is significant, especially as the annual fall closure of the park approaches, this year November 7. Later in November or early December the park re-opens to track vehicles (snow mobiles and snow coaches) for the winter months. The process is reversed in April, when many resturants, hotels and shops begin to re-open for the heavy traffic in the busy summer season. Our seasonal hotel is among the businesses that close in mid-October. Barely any guests use our seasonal heated outdoor pool or hot tub in the waning weeks of our season, which is why we close those amenities as outside temperatures drop below freezing. We apologize if we did not explain the seasonal nature of the pool and hottub when you checked in. We try to make that clear in our webite and promotional pieces, but this information sometimes gets lost. Thanks for staying with us and the kind words about our hotel. We hope to see you again on a future visit to the area. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Westerm Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

16/10/2016

In looking for a place to stay near Yellowstone, price and convenience were a top priority. This hotel met both criteria. The staff was exceedingly helpful, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was an added plus, with waffles, eggs, muffins and other items that make it better than the described "continental" I would definitely recommend and would stay here again when visiting Yellowstone.

Jim b, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for sharing your comments. All Best Western hotels are committed to improving and expanding their breakfast menu and the quality of the products served. We meet or exceed those standards, although we find instances like yours where our breakfast is listed on some web pages as a "continental" breakfast. We have been offering a hot breakfast with a broad menu for several years and we are striving to correct those inaccurate descriptions. We appreciate your staying with us and your positive comments about our property. We look forward to seeing you again on a future visit to the Yellowstone National Park area. "Thoughtful Breakfast Buffet"

14/10/2016

We found the room to be comfortable and in good condition. Rooms are pricey due to the remoteness of the location and the short tourist season. That is to be expected. I found the addition of Lactaid Milk on the breakfast buffet to be very very thoughtful--as we usually have to bring a cooler with our milk along with us as very few places provide lactaid milk or almond milk or soy milk to replace regular milk. It is difficult to be lactose intolerant on a trip. It is difficult to find grocery stores that sell it as well in remote areas. Thank you Best Western Weston Inn.

Jim b, General Manager at Best Western Weston Inn, responded to this review
We're glad that we could provide for your special needs at our breakfast service. We attempt to anticipate special requirements such as gluten free items, sugar-free syrup, and lactose-free milk products for those guests that require them. While we cannot anticipate every need on our menu we appreciate hearing from guests such as yourself that our efforts are recognized and have made a diffference. Thanks for your comments. And thank your for staying with us. We hope we can serve you on a future visit to the Yellowstone National Park area. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

Not what I expected. Not the usual Best Western. Still hard to believe Best Western or Weston put their name on this Hotel. Although the staff is great and the rooms clean, this is actually a refurbished strip motel. Those of us who are traveling for a long period and have luggage and are assigned a third floor room should be told when scheduling that there is no elevator. This should be noted clearly in hotel information. If you want quiet while you sleep this isn't the place. Very little noise suppression.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your comments and thank you for taking the time to share your experiences at the Weston Inn. While our property is not new we pride ourselves in meeting or exceeding Best Western standards expected of all members of this chain. This includes meeting high standards for staff training, housekeeping and breakfast service. We apologize that the hotel's structure did not meet your expectations, although we strive to provide clean and comfortable rooms for all our guests. The owners continue to make significaant investments in the property including a major room renovation three years ago and recently improved internet service. Next season all the in-room furniture will be replaced with new "casegoods" (entertainment centers, desks, chestsn night stands and chairs) as an example of continued improvements. If the staff did not offer to help you transport your luggage to the third floor, that was our mistake. I'll make sure this is reinforced with the staff. Thanks for staying with us and your consstructive comments. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Friendly daytime staff"

13/10/2016

The room was clean, and had all the amenities expected. No complaints except for the noise from multiple RV generators parked outside our window, that went on and off all night long. The evening staff were a bit on the cold side, but the daytime staff made up for that with warmth and genuine concern for our comfort.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences during your recent stay with us. I apologize if our evening front desk staff seemed "cold". Both ladies are experienced and effective front desk agents, actually helping us out at the end of our season from another of our owners' properties. Usually they are warm and bubbly, so i'll see if there was some particular distraction they recall during your visit. We really appreciate your comments, which help us make sure our staff and service levels are consistent with our guests' needs and expectations Thanks for staying with us and we hope to see you again on your next visit to the Yellowstone National Park area. "Well run motel-style"

11/10/2016

Looks a bit like nothing, but this 2-story motel is clean, well managed and well staffed. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful on anything from dinner recommendations to which place we should go visit in the park. The place was full, even as the Yellowstone Park season was winding down; and that's not without reason, the best places stay full last. It's priced very reasonably, it's a stone-throw from the park West entrance, the rooms are comfortable, what more can you ask for... Yes, the breakfast room is a bit small, no, it's not the Ritz, but it really did it all for us for 4 nights. Highly recommended as a base to explore Yellowstone.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and we appreciate your positive comments. You're right, we are not a glitzy new chrome and glass property, but the owners continue to improve and upgrade the property to make it a pleasant and comfortable facility. Our staff is aware that meeting our guests' needs is their most important priority and I am delighted to hear that we seem to have succeeded in that effort. Your comments will be shared with the entire staff. We recently expanded our outside seating area with a new deck and moveable planters to provide additonal seating for our breakfst service. Granted these areas are appreciated more as the weather improves in the summer season. But we have noticed our space heaters allow many guests to enjoy being outside even when there is fall chill in the air. We recently upgraded our internet service with all new equipment which will be hooked up to fiber optic service that has finally arrived at West Yellowstone. We are anticipating that our guests will now be able to enjoy the quality of internet service comparable to 'big-city" hotels that has not been previously available in our remote location. Thank you for staying with us and sharing your experiences. We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to the Yellowstone National Park area. Everyone who works there is so nice and caring. They make you feel right at home during your stay. We were there for 10 and were treated wonderful. There breakfast bar has great food and the biscuits and gravy are as good as home made. You could count on the staff for help, as when one night my husband developed an eye problem and Brooke & Danielle went out of their to find a place for us to get help.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Its always good to see you folks every year and we appreciate your positive feedback. We hope the eye problem has corrected itself and every thing is back to normal. It is gratifying that our efforts to maintain a high standard for service and sensitity to our guests' needs are recognized. Both Danielle and Brooke are pros at the front desk and will appreciate your kind works. Thank you again for staying with us and sharing your positive experiences at the Weston Inn. We look forward to seeing you next fall and hopefully that visit will be a little less eventful. Safe travels... Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"West Yellowstone Best Western Weston Inn"

3
01/10/2016

Facility and staff were fine. Breakfast was on the lower range of okay. Price paid as relates to lodging and experience itself, too high. The price paid reflects proximity to national park, which is outstanding. The price paid does not reflect superior lodging experience.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your comments and thank you for staying with us. No question the room rates and prices of other services such as resaurants and shops in West Yellowstone are higher than in metro areas 100 miles away in Bozeman, MT or Idaho Falls, ID, for example. This is a function of supply and demand, convenience to the nearby Yellowstone National Park entrance and our remote location with an absense of major supplers in the local market. That being said it is incumbant of all of the lodging units to remain competitive with comparable properties. We monitor the room rates of like branded hotels on a daily basis and adjust our rates to remain competitive. Economy lodging options are available for those travelers not wishing amenities such as a hot breakfast as a part of their offering, or pools or hot tubs, or wi-fi, or updated furnishings and fixtures or ice machines, or coffee service in the rooms and lobby, etc. Another option to save money is to visit the park early in the season or at the season end when rates and prices are lower than in the "high season" of summer and early fall. We are committed to providing clean rooms and superior customer service as part of our brand standard. We believe our room rates are competitive with similar properties and we offer amenities that many travelers feel are important to make their stays with us comfortable and pleasant. We appreciate your business and hope that we have provided a better understanding of our business and other the activities and services available just outside our beautiful Yellowstone National Park. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

We needed a room at the last minute as the road to our planned hotel was closed due to an unexpected snow storm. Mary and Jim could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. Breakfast was terrific. They gave us great advice regarding the park and local restaurants. Go to the local Union Pacific Museum. It provides a new perspective on the area.

"Great staff and extremely comfortable stay"

24/09/2016

The staff at this Best Western was extremely knowledgeable about the area and were great conversationalists. They truly care about the job they are doing and it shows. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was early every day, so even at 6am there was a fully stocked area. They do need to clean the carpets in the rooms a little more often, but overall a wonderful experience.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your comments. We take great pleasure in sharing our extensive experiences in touring Yellowstone Park and offering suggestions to our guests on how to maximize their experiences in the park. If this service was of value to you we appreciate the feedback. We are pleassed that you found your room comfortable and the breakfast service to your liking. We are committed to Best Western's standards of superior customer service and clean room. We do perform a regular rotation of carpet cleaning in each guest room. I apologize if the condition of the carpet in your room was not satisfactory. We will evaluate ways to accelerate the carpet cleaning rotation and appreciate your pointing this issue out to us. Thakns again for your kind comments and for staying with us. We hope to see you again on a future visit. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Amenities"

2
23/09/2016

No breakfast is provided for guests, not even a stale donut. Guests are directed to a restaurant in front of the hotel. No voucher is provided for breakfast. There appears to be a direct financial relationship between the hotel and restauarnt as there is a direct phone line to the restaurant from the hotel room for ordering food for pick up or delivery.

"Way too expensive!!"

3
22/09/2016

While this motel had a pool and hot tub it was not worth the money. They change 3 times the normal rate for being at the entrance of the park (all the motel do). The place was small and felt like a motor court.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your comments on our room rates and the time you took to share them. It is true that the room rates for hotels, including ours, in West Yellowstone are higher than rates offered in larger cities 100 miles away such as Bozeman, MT and Idaho Falls, ID. But the trade-off is the lengthy "commute" time and cost for the travelers wishing to spend several days exploring Yellowstone National Park. Properties like ours are located just a few blocks from the popular west entrance to Yellowstone, which allows quick and easy access to most of the attractions in the park. And our community offers a variety of fine restaurants and shops that our guests can enjoy when returning from their sightseeing each day, many of them located within walking distance from our hotel. For the budget-minded traveler an option to lengthy "commute" time into and out of the park during the high season is to visit the park during the "shoulder season" in May or October when the room rates are lower. In summary there is no question that the room rates in West Yellowstone are higher than in non-resort metro areas, but the benefits our our location outweigh this premium for a vast majority of our guests. In the interim we monitor the prices of other similar hotels in town on a daily basis and make immediate adjusts to remain competitive. We thank you for staying with us and and for sharing your comments. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"The only place to stay in West Yellowstone"

This was our first trip to Yellowstone and the help Jim & Mary gave us in planning activities and food suggestions were perfect!! Would not stay anywhere else! This is the only place in our opinion to stay - location was central to all local activities.

"nice hotel room"

"OK but expensive and dated."

3
13/09/2016

The staff are very friendly and helpful. But the property itself is dated and is sorely in need of a refurbishing. The lower rooms are very dark but you can park right in front of your door. West Yellowstone during the summer is expensive, but for the money it cost me to stay at this motel, I can't help but feel I could have done better.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the time your took to share your experience with us during your recent stay. The hotel was renovated a little over two years ago with new carpets, new paint, new tile and granite counters, and updated sinks and fixtures. We continue to invest in the property to provide clean and comfortable rooms for our guests. It is true that our hotel is not new...some other properties in town are newer and many are older. But despite this and our continued nvestment in the property we monitor our room rates daily as compared with comparable branded hotels in West Yellowstone. This is to assure that we are always competitive. As you noted hotel room rates in West Yellowstone are higher than in metro areas 100 miles away. This is the result of unprecedented numbers of visitors to Yellowstone National Park in the last two years...approaching four million visitors passing throught the popular west entrance to the park. Most of our guest appreciate being just a few blocks form this entrance even though the rates in the summer tend to be higher in the busiest season. Thank you staying with us and providing your feedback. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Economical and close to Yellowstone"

4
13/09/2016

We couldn't get a reservation in Yellowstone and this was close to the west entrance of Yellowstone. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast was good. Do you pay more during tourist season then it is worth...yes but in comparison this was the best bang for my money that I could find. Also it is close enough that we walked to dinner every night. Loved the soda fountain in town...what a treat!

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We're pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and thanks for sharing your comments. You're absoulutely right that our location is ideal for touring Yellowstone National Park. The west entrace, just a few blocks away, is positioned between the upper and lower loops in the figure eight layout of the park. This location gives our visitors a quick and easy way to tour the park by day and return to our quaint little town in the evening to visit the many restaurants and shops within walking distance of our hotel. Thanks you for staying with us and we hope to see you again. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Great Staff, Happy Stay"

4
12/09/2016

The price was high, but alas, we are in West Yellowstone. We were in the separate building of the hotel and on the bottom interior corridor floor. Almost felt like a basement room, was very dark, not much of a view when looking out directly at a fence. Luckily we weren't looking for a view, but a good night's sleep. Breakfast was good. They some type of eggs & meat, waffle maker as well as yogurt and small selection of fruit. They had a very friendly staff that kept breakfast well stocked and the front desk manned. Overall we had a pretty good stay!

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Weston Inn during your stay with us. Indeed the room rates and prices in the local restaurants and shops in West Yellowstone are higher than in some of the larger metro cities 100 miles away. But with our location just a few blocks from the popular west entrance to Yellowstone National Park it compensates for these somewhat higher rates and prices. It is easy and convenient for our guests to return to West Yellowstone each evening after a long day of sightseeing to enjoy a leisurely walk through town visiting the local restaurants and shops. We appreciate your staying with us and hope we can see you again on a future visit to the Yellowstone National Park area. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

The Staff were friendly and helpful, they made the stay pleasant. This is an old motel that is being updated, but the lay out and location, is wide spot in the road 1970's style. There are much better lodgings for the money in the area. Shop ahead and read all reviews.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your comments and the staff always welcomes the feedback. You are right...we are not a new hotel, but we continue to invest in the property to keep it fresh and comfortable for our guests. Hopefully we can see your again so you can take advantage of our many upgrades and improvements now in progress. Thanks you for staying with us. Nice motel! A little pricey but when you figure the location it's right in line with the area. Decent breakfast, clean, just what you would expect from a Best Westerm. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful!!. Definitely recommend!'

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your recommendation and thank you for sharing your experiences at our hotel! We constantly work to meet or exceed Best Western's high standards for clean rooms and superior service. We are pleased when this is appreciated by our guests. Our close proximatey to the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park justifies in part the somewhat higher room rates and prices of other activites such as resturants and shops in our small community. With our location our guests are able to travel into and out of the park with relative ease. Consequently they can return to West Yellowstone after a long day of sight-seeing and walk to a variety of fine restaurants and shops near the hotel. We appeciate your staying with us and hope we can see you again on a future visit to the area. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

Prices were expensive, but I guess this is typical for Yellowstone. We were very happy with our room. We had to change our reservation dates and they were very helpful and accommodating to meet our needs. Wifi was good, until everyone tried to use it. Room was very nice, beds comfortable, lots of pillows. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices and protein. Mary and Jim were so helpful and nice.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for for your comments on your recent stay with us and the kind words about our staff. We strive to make all our guests' experiences with us pleaseant and comfortable, even memorable. It appears we were on the mark during your visit. One of the advantages of booking directly with the hotel is that this offers our guests flexibility in changing their reservations as their trip plans change. Third party agents do not afford that luxury. We are pleased that we could accomodate your travel plans and thank you for staying with us. We hope to see you on your next trip the our beautiful Yellowstone National Park. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

I don't usually stay at Best Western, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was huge and the bed the most comfortable on my week long trip. Very pricey but so is everything near the park during season. The breakfast was phenomenal with biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, all the fruits you could want, and anything else you could want. Very quiet, clean and so excellent rating and I usually only give very good.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We are pleased that we could surprise you with a comfortable room and tasty breakfast. Hopefully, this will encourage you to continue to explore other Best Western hotels, since the chain is definately on a roll. We continue to invest in our property and have a number of projects underway including updating our exterior with new lighting, landscaping and a spacious deck. Sorry these projects were not completed during your stay, but hopefully we can entice you to visit us again. Thank your for your excellent rating of our property and thank you for staying with us. We stayed here with our son & family prior to heading into Yellowstone Park. They offered a family suite for our son & family (2 queen beds & sofa sleeper). They pool was a warm (to our surprise because the air was cold 40's) & the hot tub was working. The kids had a great time. I was surprised to see that they had chair assists into the both the pool and hot tub, what a great thing for those who need a little help. The breakfast was hot and of standard fare. The staff was friendly & helpful and accommodating.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments on your recent stay. We're pleased that our familiy room worked out so well for your family and that the pool and hot tub was enjoyed by the kids. While our pool and hot tub are located outside, we keep that water termperature at comfortable levels regardless of the outside conditions. The pool is heated to 85 degrees and the hot tub to 104 degrees, which make a dip on a chilly evening a pleasant experience. I guess that why outside hot tubs are so popular at ski resorts. Of course on warmer evenings our guests can enjoy viewing Montana's famous "big skies" while enjoying a warm soak in the hot tub or pool. Thanks, too, for the kind words about our staff. We are all focused on make our guests' experiences with us pleasant and comfortable. We appreciate your staying with us and sharing yur comments. We hope we can lookk forward to seeing you on a future visit to the beautiful Yellowstone National Park area. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

Great Best Western. This hotel is clean, well staffed and the desk team - Jordan and Jessica are friendly and customer driven. Good basic breakfast in the morning. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel. Unfortunately, the air quality in West Yellowstone was poor because of planned fires. Not their fault!!

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your positive feedback relative to your recent stay with us. We'll surely pass you kind words on to Jordan and his new wife, Alyssa, who continually step up to the challenge of making our guests' stays at our property pleasant and comfortable. It is gratifying to hear that their efforts are appreciated. Yes, the several fires in Yellowstone National Park have been a distraction. But thankfully the fire crews, many of whom have stayed with us during this crisis, have done an incredible job of containing the fires and helping keep the park open throughout this period. Hats off to them and the fire managers who have done a great job of protecting our beautiful park despite reversals from mother nature. This is not the grandest spot in West Yellowstone but the room was clean, nicely appointed and the staff was very friendly. Quick in, quick out and on to the park. I would stay there again. It's a block our do off the main highway into Yellowstone and away a few blocks from the party places but easy to walk to those. No truck noise in the room at all.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate the time you took to share your experiences with us during your recent stay. Because of its proximately to the most popular entrance to Yellowstone Natinal Park our location is ideal for getting into the park quickly to enjoy the beautiful attractions. And likewise it easy to return to our little town each night and relax at a variety of reastaurants, bars and shops within easy walking distance. This is a good stop for exploring Yellowstone . Rooms are spacious and ours overlooked the park and caught the evening sun . Breakfast was very good with choice of hot and cold , fruit, yogourt, etc. we ate at the Tapas place as it was close but found it expensive and second night at the Buffalo Inn which was good but huge meals .

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your experience at our hotel and West Yellowstone. Like you many of our guests enjoy being so close the the green belt provided by the expansive city park across the street, especialy our pet owners. Yet we are only a block or two from "city center" which makes most of the restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. Madriz and the Buffalo Bar are a couple of our favorites, but there is a broad range of other restaurants we recommend, too. Mary and I split our favorite sandwich, the Old Faithful, at the Buffalo Bar, which gives us a tasty meal without overdoing it. We apprecaite your taking the time to comment on your stay and look forward to seeing you again on a future visit to the Yellowstone National Park area. "Good base for West Yellowstone"

29/08/2016

This hotel was not cheap, but then, few around Yellowstone National Park are. The room was plenty big enough, clean, well furnished, with an excellent bathroom. The breakfast was very good, although the fairly small space could get packed out at peak times. All the staff that that we met were very friendly and helpful and one small issue with our room was put right immediately upon notification. There was a lot parking around the hotel, all free. The hotel was a 5-10 minute walk from the main town centre, which catered for a wide range of dining and drinking options, although none very cheap. West Yellowstone is an 'OK' base for the National Park, especially for the main Geyser area around 'Old Faithful', but it is quite a long drive in - allow 40 mins after you go through the park gate to actually get anywhere.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for sharing your comments on your recent stay with us. We agree that the room rates and prices in the restaurants and ships in West Yellowstone are higher than in non-resort areas 100 miles away. This is a function of supply and demand attributed to the almost four million visitors that pass through the popular west entrance each summer season, just a few block from town. Also popular attractions like Old Faithful may seem far awary owing the the enormous size of Yellowstone National Park. Old Faithful, 30 miles away, is much closer to the west entrance than any other access points to the park, which makes our location very desireable to visitors planning to visit the park for several days. We appreciate your kind comments about the property and the staff. We try to make every guest's stay comfortable and pleasant and we appreciate hearing that we met your expectations. Thank you for staying with us and we hope we can see you again on a future trip to the Yellowstone National Park area. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Nice motel for the area."

28/08/2016

This was a nice, clean location for a really busy area. Breakfast was a good variety of sausage/eggs/potatoes, toast, waffles, and cereals. The rooms are a good size. Fridge is an added bonus. We didn't use the pool or hot tub because we spent so much time in Yellowstone. Everyone from check-in, maintenance, and breakfast hosts were really friendly. They offer free wi-fi which is a nice touch. The only negative is that this is a older motel and you can definitely hear when people are walking above you or in the room next to you.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your comments and thank you for taking the time to share them. We are especially gratified that you felt the staff played such an important role in making your stay comfortable and pleasant. Yes, we are not a new property, not a glass and chrome edifice. But we continue to invest in our property to keep it up-to-date and a pleasant place to unwind from long days visiting our beautiful Yellowstone National Park. Our staff's responsibility is to make sure all your expectations are met to the best of our ability. I appears that they accomplished that goal during your stay and we thank you for recognizing them. "The. Worst. And they don't care!"

25/08/2016

Worst hotel experience in past 10 years! Poop on toilet when checking in. Told front desk politely, out of earshot of other guests. Said they'd check. sent manager and said was paint and would clean. Paint? On underside of toilet? A color NOT in the room? Was told it was the color from Last time. ...Seriously? Asked to be moved or at least a discount. None. Disappointing after driving 8 hours. Told we could cancel. They knew there were no more rooms in town. No discount from them. Asked if we wanted more cleaned. Ummm.. I guess not. Found more 'paint'/poop later. Was of motel 6 quality for more than Hilton prices, typical of the area but this one is one of worst! No towels at pool. Given a roll away w so little space in our room (king) that we had to step over to use restroom. I'm seeing the allure of the motor home more and more in these areas. The worst breakfast at a best western I've ever had! Eggs were awful. Ran into the main manager the next day, although we were told he wouldn't be around the entire weekend! We took some time the previous evening and called the best western headquarters who called the hotel and talked to them to hear their side of the story. They ended up frontloading us enough points for a free room in the future after that phone discussion. I could tell the manager wasn't happy w us; we did stumble upon him although we told he was offsite and couldn't be reached. Strangely, we have family in the area and often drive through. They count on folks passing through for business but missed out on possible repeat customers. DON'T. STAY. HERE.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
I am sorry we did not meet your needs, especially your many many demands for a discount or free lodging from before you checked-in though check-out during your one night stay. Seemed like a practiced artform to me after meeting with you and reviewing your endlesss complaints and demands with my senior staff. Between the generous points given and the discount I offered it was clearly not good enough. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Nice Hotel/Good Location"

25/08/2016

We stayed here for two days - August 17 and 18th. We had family suite that slept five and was perfect for us with 3 boys. Very good location to Yellowstone and also walking distance to lots of restaurants/stores, etc. We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub (though it was windy the first day we were there and boys had to clean some debris out of both pool and hot tub - after that it was fine). Parking was free and so was breakfast which had pretty decent spread and good hours (I believe 6AM to 10AM). The only issue with breakfast was that it got crowded especially at certain times. We always got a table but moving in and out to make waffles, etc. was somewhat difficult. For price/amenities - would definitely consider staying here again.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and that the property met the needs of your family. West Yellowstone is an ideal location for visitors to Yellowstone National Park since we are just a few blocks from the popular west entrance to the park. Besides it gives visitors a chance to visit two states since we are in MT and the park is in WY. Some of our guests enjoy counting the states they visit and can check off ID by driving just a few miles west of West Yellowstone. We are aware that when the hotel is full and most of our guests decide to show up for breakfast at the same time the breakfast room gets crowded. We are currently expanding the outside seating with a wind protected bistro area and a large deck near thehotel entrance, Hopefully these expanded outside seating additions (with heaters) and new furniture will provide a pleasant alternative to the inside breakfast area. We are happy that your familiy enjoyed the outside pool and hot tub and I apologize that pool sometimes attracts debris from a near-by pine tree when it is windy. Our maintenance people keep an eye on the pool throughout the day in an effort to keep it squeaky clean. But an occasional gust of wind dumps pine tree debris into the water. We are reluctantly considering removing this large tree, but have not made a final decision since it adds to the ambience of the property (when the wind is not blowing). Thank you for staying with us and sharing your comments. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Great location for Yellowstone national park"

4
23/08/2016

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Yellowstone national park. I was pleasantly surprised - room was clean and comfortable. There was a fridge in the room. There is free parking -not necessarily right near your room but near enough. There wasn't a lift so a room on the upper floor was interesting with a heavy case but it was fine. The location is perfect for visiting Yellowstone - only a couple of blocks from the entrance to the park. The town seems mainly to serve tourists with numerous motels and restaurants -easy to walk to places to eat. Breakfast was the same as most places we stayed - waffles (make yourself), eggs, etc.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and taking the time to share them with others. Our staff is instructed to offer assistance in helping handle luggage, especially for upper level floors. I hope the offer was made because we are happy to provide that service whenever required. West Yellowstone is the most popular location for visitors to Yellowstone National Park because of our close proximity to the west entrance just a few blocks away. And as you noted the town offers many fine restaurants, bars and shops within easy walking distance from the hotel. This provides a pleasant wind-down experience each night from busy sightseeing activity in the nearby national park each day. We thank you for staying with us and for your kind remarks. We hope we can see you again on your next visit to Yellowstone National Park. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Poor value"

2
23/08/2016

Carpet was dirty / room was dark / only positive was water pressure. Parking was convenient right in front of the room but interior entrance is much better. Bottom line is the room was way overpriced. For the amount of points and Diamond level status with BW I expected much better.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
I apologize that we missed the mark during your recent stay with us. We have a systematic schedule for cleaning all the guest room carpets so your comments will help me determine where that process broke down. I can assure you immediate corrective action will be taken. Some of our guest rooms are darker than others due to their position in the hotel. Regrettably this is aggraveted by the paint choice approved for our recent renovation, which includes one dark colored accent wall. Regarding our room rates we monitor our room rates daily as compared with similar branded hotels and adjust them accordingly. There is no doubt, though, that the room rates in West Yellowstone are high during the busiest summer months of July and August. Compensating for this is the convenience of our location just a few blocks from the most popular entrance to the park. Lower room rates are available in Idaho Falls, ID and Bozeman, MT, but these locations require a 200-mile round trip commute for guests that plan to spend several days touring Yellowstone National Park. Budget-minded guests can enjoy lower room rates during the shoulder seasons such as May or October. But record visitor-ship to Yellowstone in the last two years, approaching four million visitors, does impact room rates in the high summer season. It is very important that we provide our diamond rewards members with the service and accomodations they deserve. I am very sorry that we failed this committment during your stay. Your comments are appreciated so that we can correct the things you pointed out in your review. We will continue to invest in improvements to our property and hope that you will consider giving us another chance. Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to give us your constructive feedback. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

Stayed 3 nights. Great location! Walking distance to small shopping/food tourist area. Very close to the West Yellowstone Park entrance. Clean and comfortable rooms. Small refrigerator and microwave in room. Breakfast is included with room stay (waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, assorted pastries, coffee/tea, juices). Hotel has outdoor pool..we never used because we were busy touring Yellowstone. Very friendly and helpful staff. Yes, would stay again.

"Pleasantly surprised!"

17/08/2016

Our plan was to stay in Idaho Falls but we did not plan well and ended up having to head up to West Yellowstone in order to have somewhere to stay on our trip. The Best Western Weston was the only place with a room available. It was busy season and the price did show that, which was not surprising. The staff was incredible and the gentleman who checked us in even offered to come back up after closing to let us in since we thought we would be arriving after 11pm. The room was huge, clean and appeared to be renovated. We were pleasantly surprised.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for sharing your experience at the Weston Inn. "Nice people, good location, good place"

11/08/2016

Very nice people, good location (5 minutes from the park entrance),good price (you are in West Yellowstone!), good breakfast: very good place. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Finally, people at the front desk know also that Andrea is originally a male name from the ancient Greek. I recommend it definitely.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your very kind and warm words. Our staff is focused on trying our best to make the stay of each of our guests memorable. We can't always control the weather or the traffic or even the economics of the super high levels of visitorship that Yellowstone National Park has enjoyed in the last two years. But we can try to make the stay at our hotel a pleasant experience each evening in keeping with long days of traveling through a breath-taking national park with a clean and comfortable room. Our breakfast has been tailored to give our guests a healthy and tasty way to start each day's adventures. We also appreciate that you understand that hotel rates in West Yellowstone are commensurate with the popularity of our location and our park. Simply supply and demand dynamics. But our location so close to the park and within walking distance of fine restaurants, bars and shops is valued by most of our guests. Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to share your experiences with us. We appreciate it a lot. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Clean place, great location"

4
10/08/2016

First, the pros : great location (so close to Yellowstone), good breakfast, pool and hot tub, friendly staff. And the cons : the pool and hot tub are in the parking lot, very expensive during the high season. Overall, the place is very clean and the pool was very much appreciated after long days spent in yellowstone. And getting to the park is only 2 minutes away.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and for your time to share them with us. Yes, many of our guests enjoy the hot tub and pool at the end of a long day of sightseeing. The pool and hot tub are outside so our guests can enjoy the open air experience on sunny days versus enclosed pools is some hotels. Being outside it is tedchnically in the parking lot, although we have not heard that description before. Visitorship at Yellowstone National Park has set records for the last two years so the heavy traffic of tourists, approaching four million/year, puts pressure on the hotel rates and prices of about everything else in West Yellowstone. But our location just a few blocks from the popular west entrance to the park compensates for the economics. Budget-minded travelers can save some money by visiting the park in May or September/October when the park is not so crowded and the weather is cooler. Again, we appreciate your observations and thank you for being our guest. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Family vacation"

03/08/2016

This motel was fine but just pricey. The breakfast was very good. With 22 of us traveling together we enjoyed it being convenient on our route thru Yellowstone. If we are in the area again we would stay here if couldn't find anything less expensive and as nice a motel.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your kind words. We are pleased that your family enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, the rates during the busy summer season are higher than off-season rates due to the record level of visitation to Yellowstone National Park in the last two years. We strive to be competitive with similar branded hotels during this season and monitor our rates daily. For the budget-minded travelers we recommend considering visiting the park in May or September/October when the park is less crowded and rates are lower. These are great times to witness very active wildlife, too, since it is cooler and spring is a good time to welcome newborn bison to our beautiful park. We pride ourselves in being a family hotel and deal with only a small number of commercial tour operators during the "shoulder season", consistent with our family focus. We are delighted that we could meet your family's needs and hope we can see you again on your next visit to Yellowstone. Thank you for staying with us. "Mixed Experience"

3
01/08/2016

The people at this hotel are very nice and accommodating. The reality of staying in West Yellowstone is the prices are high compared to many other areas so you expect the fundamentals to be flawless. So, when the air conditioner does not work and the hot tub is out of order this is disappointing. The upside is they addressed my a/c problem, partially, and they got the hot tub back up later in our stay. Nice people but the building needs work.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences at our hotel. I apologize for your difficulties, which regrettably included two unfortunate events. First our one-year-old spa heater experienced a catastrophic failure and was replaced within few days. Since that time the spa has been operating at a toasty 104 degrees. The heated pool was fully operational during this period and was not affected by this problem. We check our heating-A/C units in each room on a regular basis and are replacing the older units systematically, hopefully before they fail. We have replaced the one in your room since your stay which, of course, has no impact on your stay with us. We do have a rigorous maintenance program which in most cases allows us to keep up with mechanical equipment issues before they happen. I am sorry that this program was not evident to you because of the unfortunate timing of two events happening at the same time. We appreciate your inputs and apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Way, Way Overpriced even for a tourist trap"

2
31/07/2016

Hotel is fine. Way over-priced even for a tourist trap - paid $300+ per room. Plan early so you can get a better rate. However, also be aware that this is one of the better properties in this town - there are far worse options in West Yellowstone.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thanks for your comments. We understand the issue of room rates in West Yellowstone. We monitor our rates as compared with similar branded hotels on a daily basis and adjust our rates according to make sure we are competitive. But the reality is that with record visitation to Yellowstone National Park for the last two years (approaching 4 million travelers each season) demand for all goods and services in the area have driven up hotel room rates and the prices of everything else. However, the ideal location of West Yellowstone, located just a few blocks from the most popular entrance to Yellowstone National Park, represents a significant benefit to our guests. Access to the park is quick and easy and returning to West Yellowstone in the evening allows our guests to enjoy a variety of restaurants, bars, shops and other attractions within walking distance after a long day of sightseeing. Accommodations are available in Idaho Falls, ID or Bozeman, MT at lower room rates. But these locations require a 200-mile round trip of commuting time to visit Yellowstone. Since many of our guests have budgeted multi-day stays in order to enjoy the entirety of our beautiful national park (a large one indeed) the room rates in West Yellowstone become much more justifiable. We appreciate the compliment that we are a better property despite our room rates. We thank you for staying with us and we value your comments and the time spent to share them. We stayed here for 2 nights during our visit to Yellowstone. Overall nice place to stay. They offer free wifi and hot/cold breakfast. The pool was very warm. It is located across from a big park with a playground. Our room was clean. It takes about 35 - 45 minutes to get into Yellowstone park, pending on traffic. A nice 5 minute walk to the main strip of West Yellowstone where you can find many gift shops, restaurants, ice cream shops and even a grocery store. There is a ropes course near the post office. I would definitely stay here again.

Thanks for your comments on your recent stay with us. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at the Weston Inn and were able to take advantage of the local establishments that are so close to the hotel here in West Yellowstone. The city park across the street is very popular with our guests with pets and for familites such as yours that enjoyed the extensive playground. You hit on many of the many highlights of the area and we appreciate your sharing your comments. Thanks for staying with us and we hope we can see you again on a future trip to Yellowstone National Park. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT g

"It was fine for what we wanted"

It is still a little pricey but OK for 1 or 2 nights. The breakfast was a joke. Scrambled eggs were runny and cold. Bacon was nearly raw. For most part it was unappetizing. It is offered as FREE, but not really. I'm sure it is included in the price of the room. I would have preferred to pay less for the room and go elsewhere for a decent breakfast.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Apparently this review was for another hotel. We do not serve scrambled eggs or bacon in our breakfast service. You may want to advise the hotel that you stayed in so that they can take corrective action. Thanks, Jim Brye, GM, Weston Inn, West Yellowstone, MT

"Expensive Hotel and not a great experience with the rooms"

28/07/2016

We had a late check in that day. The hotel itself has three floors and we were on the second floor with no elevator access. With luggage, we needed to do multiple trips to the room. Secondly, the temperature was over 90 degrees outside and the AC unit was not working in the first room. We were switched to another room. However, the AC unit in the second room was cooling for just a few minutes and stopped. We had a similar stay in Best Western in Gardiner the previous night and it was a wonderful experience with great view, breakfast facility and facility. We just did not have the similar experience at the West Yellowstone location and it was pricier at the Yellowstone location. The internet service was working that the kids liked and the breakfast was basic continental food.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We apologize for the difficulty you experienced with the air conditioner in your room. We checked the A/C units in both rooms after your visit and found them both to operate properly. We will continue to monitor both units and will repair or replace them if we can duplicate similar results as you experienced. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Gardiner, which s a fine hotel. While our breakfast is listed on some web sites a "continental", we do provide a hot breakfast including eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, and potatoes in addition, to continental fare of pastries, fresh, four juices, yogurt, three cold cereals and two blends of high quality coffee. We will continue to identify menu items to expand and improve our breakfast service, which was upgraded this season. We apologize that our breakfast service did not meet your needs despite the fact that it is quite a step up from "continental". We appreciate your inputs and the time you took to share them with us. "They staff could not have been nicer. "

Although the facilities have been upgraded, it was still small and had some cosmetic issues. The door rubbed and was difficult to open, but this can be fixed. The rooms were clean and the staff could not have been any more friendly. It was pricey for a Best Western, but you have to consider how close you are to the west entrance to Yellowstone. The outdoor pool is tiny and the spa did not work during our visit.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us. We appreciate your kind words about our staff and are gratified that we could meet your needs. I apologize about the issues your mentioned like the sticky door. That has been fixed and we have a new spa heater after the old one failed prematurely just before your visit. It is now up and running and maintaining a toasty 104 degree temperature. We appreciate your comments and thank you for staying with us. We hope to see you again. "Perfect location for visiting Yellowstone!"

26/07/2016

Best Western Weston Inn has recently renovated, clean and comfortable rooms with refrigerators and microwaves. Jim and his wife (and other hotel staff) were wonderful hostesses and gave great suggestions for places to eat, etc. Free daily hot breakfast was very good and well tended. Other reviews mentioned noise was an issue, but we never heard anyone and the hotel was completely booked. All hotels in this area are pricey, but you are paying for being 1/2 mile from the park entrance. All restaurants and shops in West Yellowstone are within walking distance from the hotel. We had some time to kill before flying out on our last day, so we did the walking tour of the town and it was fun and interesting. I would definitely stay here again!

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We were pleased that your stayed with us and we appreciate your taking the time to share your experience. Our small town and our beautiful national park both offer a lot to our guests. We take great delight in sharing our insights on how best to spend your valuable vacation time. Because we are so close to the popular west entrance of Yellowstone National Park there is pressure on room rates, restaurant prices and the cost other items offered by the many shops and attractions in West Yellowstone. The park has set records for visitor-ship for the last two years causing this demand. But we are very sensitive to maintaining competitive room rates and monitor our rates as compared with similar branded hotels in the area on a daily basis. Thank you again for being our guest and sharing your comments. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"STAY AT ANOTHER HOTEL!"

25/07/2016

Book early at a yellowstone property! We booked last minute and stayed here. Not only were we put in the basement, but dated hotel and very crowded breakfast area. Hotel needs to be remodeled and redesigned. The pool area is very small. Look around for a better value for your money.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We apologize that we could not meet your needs during your recent stay with us. Your advice is appropriate in that it is wise to book early when visiting Yellowstone National Park. This is because essentially all the branded lodging units fill up very quickly during the busy summer months. Our property was renovated three years ago with new carpeting, new paint, new tile, and new granite counters. The property is not new, but we continue to invest in it to keep the facility up-to-date. For example in a few weeks we will replace all the case goods (headboards, dressers, tables and chairs) in each guest room with brand new, high quality furniture. We'll upgrade out internet service using state-of-the art equipment at the same time. We wish we could have made you happier with your visit. But we appreciate your comments and we appreciate your staying with us. We take all of our guests' inputs very seriously and thank you for sharing yours. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

25/07/2016

The hotel looked older from the outside, but was totally remodeled very nicely inside. The front desk personnel was superb. Helpful with suggestions for Yellowstone & every other request. The location to Yellowstone was 5 minutes from the entrance. We would definitely go back.

"Great locatoin, good facilities"

24/07/2016

Room size was good, two double beds. AC took a while to get the correct balance. One narrow counter for the bathroom sink. Needs to be remodeled. Tight room for shower and toilet. Excellent hot water and finicky shower adjustment. Room is way too dark. Needs more lights. Not enough wall outlets. I had two cell phones being charged and two camera batteries....that was just two many devices being charged. At this price I expect a double bathroom vanity. It's time to spend the dollars to modernize this busy place. Note, we checked out before the office opened and they would not email me a receipt. Instead, I have to go back to the Internet source where I made the reservation for that document. Come on get into the real world. Beds were good.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences during your recent stay with us. The hotel was renovated three years ago with new carpet, tile, paint, etc., as a part of our continued investment in our property. Unfortunately there is a limit to the options we have due to the layout of the rooms. Your inputs regarding the vanities are well taken and we'll certainly try to expand this area when we renovate again. Within the next few weeks we are replacing all the "casegoods" (dressers, tables, chairs, headboards, etc.) in each guest room. We recognize that the demand for charging stations has increased dramatically in recent years so we will incorporate extra charging stations with the new furniture. Regarding your need for a receipt for the charges associated with your stay, we are always happy to email your statement if the business arrangement is made with Best Western central reservations or directly with the hotel. I suspect you were represented by an independent on-line travel agent. In those cases we have no visibility into what rates or conditions you have made with those agents so we cannot provide any documentation on those arrangements. It is not because we do not want to provide you with this information...we just don't have it on our system. Thank you again for your comments and for staying with us. We appreciate your comments and look forward to seeing your again. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Nice, clean, well run hotel"

23/07/2016

I was quite satisfied with this hotel; however, the rate was very high (at least 4X the normal rate for this type of hotel) due to the tourist season. Management and staff were very friendly and helpful.

"National Park Visit"

23/07/2016

Stayed for 4 nights whilst visiting Yellowstone National Park with our cousins during our recent US holiday. Whilst room rate was generally more expensive than we paid elsewhere during our visit it was over the 4th July weekend. Breakfast was average and breakfast room was full during peak period. Positives were very friendly and helpful staff, location within 5 mins drive of park entrance and 5 mins walk for restaurants/shopping. Room was clean, comfortable. and quiet. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

I have stayed at this facility for my annual one week Yellowstone summer fly fishing trip for over a decade. They keep getting better and better. The breakfast is very, very good and the WiFi has really improved. It is quiet, affordable and comfortable and the staff is really nice!!!

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
The entire staff appreciates your kind words and we thank you for being our guest. Our owners continue to invest in the Weston Inn to make it more comfortable and convenient for our guests. We anticipate another major upgrade in our internet hardware and software this year. We will replace all our guest room "case-goods" (headboards, tables, chairs, dressers, etc.) as another example of our commitment to the property. It is gratifying that you have noticed our improvements over the years and we will always be pleased to have you stay with us again. 14/07/2016

Per night cost is too high. Value for money is less. Paid $260 per night. Breakfast is average. More of Motel type building. Need renovation. Staffs are friendly. Good location. Many options for Food and Leisure.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We certainly understand your concerns about the cost of visiting Yellowstone National Park, especially considering the record visitor-ship for the last two years. This demand has put great pressure on hotel rates, restaurant prices and the prices of all services offered in our community. We review our room rates daily as compared with similar branded hotels and make adjustments to make sure we are competitive with other lodging establishments. Our location so close to the most popular entrance to Yellowstone National Park is a benefit for travelers who wish to reduce the commute time from metro hotels 100 miles away. We value your inputs and concerns and take them seriously. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for staying with us. "West Yellowstone 2016"

13/07/2016

The Inn was a basic motel with 2 floors, plus a newer addition with 3 floors. The location was very close to all the town's activities and the Entrance Gate to Yellowstone NP. The free breakfast was good with waffles, eggs, sausage, fruit, muffins, bread, etc. We were able to park next to our lower level room. There was a park across the street. We had a pleasant 2 night stay.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate you comments and are glad you enjoyed you stay with us. Indeed, West Yellowstone offers a very convenient location for travelers since we are just a few blocks away from the most popular entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Also with most hotels, restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance the town is a pleasant contrast to the enormous (and beautiful park) enjoyed by over three million visitors each season. Thanks for staying with us and thinks again for taking the time to comment on your experience. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Basic amenities, great location"

3
12/07/2016

The rooms were pretty clean, and the location is just minutes outside the west entrance of Yellowstone national park. That said, its a bit over priced for the fairly basic amenities. The breakfast is 4 inch omlettes and alternating sausage links or sausage patties. There are also biscuits and diced potatoes. It gets very crowded for breakfast but eases around 9 or 9.30 am. It had ample parking and is well placed near a lot of restaurants within a 3-4 block radius.

"Great hotel - free parking - Good location"

11/07/2016

Stopped here for just one night, expected to be staying in the main block wooden with balconies but were sent to a new block just next door which was really clean and appeared quite new. Room was spacious and clean with all amenites and free parking. Easy short walk into town which was great with a real 'western' feel. Good shops and eateries we ate in Old Town Cafe which was good. Short drive into Yellowstone.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments on your recent stay with us. Yes, we are located within walking distance to most of the restaurants, bars and attractions in West Yellowstone and close to the most popular entrance to Yellowstone National Park. But being adjacent to the large grassy city park sets us apart from the fray of the "downtown" area. We ae pleased that you enjoyed the cleanliness of our property and appreciated our staff, which is dedicated to making our guests' stays memorable and pleasant. We hope to see you again on your next visit to the beautiful Yellowstone National Park area. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Great hotel! Great staff! Great location!"

This was a great hotel very close to Yellowstone's west entrance...1 block from park border! Big laundry mat next door...plus city park across street. Hotel staff was so nice and super helpful about the area. Free breakfast was very good as well! We Will come back to this hotel in the future!

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We are pleased that your enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for taking the time to share your experience. While we may not be objective we are big fans of our West Yellowstone location, which is so close to the most popular entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Plus we are within walking distance of several fine restaurants, bars and attractions in West Yellowstone. Thanks for your kind words about our staff and our property. We appreciate your staying with us and we hope to see you again. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Excellent stay"

08/07/2016

We booked 6 months in advance and the price was still high, but it was so worth it. Clean rooms, great bed & pillows! Continental breakfast was okay didn't care for the biscuits and gravy... some kind of spices that my stomach didn't like.. lol couldn't ask for a better management and staff.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thanks for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us. We are pleased that our facility and staff met your needs. I agree with your comment on the biscuits and gravy...not the kind of breakfast fare that suits me either. But its surprising how many guests rave about this item. It must be a regional thing! Also, your comment about the room rates being higher than in less remote areas 100 miles away is on target. Its true that the record breaking visitorship levels currently enjoyed by Yellowstone National Park are pushing up the room rates, restaurant prices and the prices of other services in West Yellowstone. Offsetting this trend we remain as the closest and most convenient location to the most popular entrance to the park, the west entrance. Plus the community offers a wide variety of unique and quaint restaurants, bars, shops and attractions all within walking distance. Thank you again for your comments and for staying with us. We appreciate the feedback very much. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

We had 3 rooms for family. All exterior entrances, very well maintained, and great beds. One fine motel. We travelled for 2 weeks and this was one of the best places. Super attentive people and well staffed---a rare occurencs in many motels today.

"Nice & Clean!"

06/07/2016

I stayed here for 3 nights in June for the Yellowstone Half Marathon and had no issues whatsover. The room (2 queens) was spacious, everything was updated and clean, and the staff I spoke with were friendly. It was very pricey (nearly $300/night), but it's Yellowstone and high season, so what can you do?

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments on your recent stay with us. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and we appreciate the feedback. Yes, hotel rooms in West Yellowstone are higher than in near-by metro areas 100 miles away due the the enormous popularity of our location. Being just a few blocks from the popluar west entrance of Yellowstone Naional Park we offer the convenience of easy access to and from the park. We are sensitive to remaining competitive with similar branded hotels in the area and review our rates daily to make sure we are in line with other fine hotels. Yellowstone National Park will likely set another record of visitor-ship this year with close to four million travelers passing through the west entrance. This puts pressure on room rates, restaurant prices and the prices of other services in the area. But in general our feedback from guests is that the convenience of our location more than compensates for the the rates. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for staying with us. I can't express my gratitude to Mary and the staff for the stay at this facility. Each and every time I had a request, the staff helped past what I expected. They truely acted like they wanted to help make my stay the best possible. .

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your kind words and for staying with us. We try to make each of our guests feel welcome and we are gratified that your perception of our property and our staff was consistent with that goal. Our front desk manager Mary is especially helpful to our guests since she enjoys the park so much and loves to share her experiences with others. "Great service"

4
04/07/2016

The hotel room is more of a motel feeling, room very basic. I guess for a small West Yellowstone town, that's typical. I rate this hotel a 4 mainly because of their outstanding services. All staff are very friendly and went beyond their way switched my family of three from a King room I booked (only room type left) to a two queen room. Breakfast area very small but food was ok. There are coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the lobby area all the time. The hotel is very close to Yellowstone West Gate and within walking distance to several restaurants.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us. The staff always appreciates the feedback and we try to fulfill each guests needs as much as possible. Selecting the most appropriate room for traveler's specific needs is one of those services. We have plans to increase the size of our breakfast room, which can get cramped when the hotel is full (most of the time) and many guests show up at the same time. Hopefully if you can visit us agin in the future those expansion plans will be in place. Our West Yellowstone location is just a few blocks from the most popular entrance to Yellowstone National Park that serves over three million visitors each season. The location allows for easy access to and from most of the must-see attractions in the park, plus an easy walk to restaurants and shops in our small town when the day's sightseeing adventures are over. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and we thank you for being our guest. We hope to see you again. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Wetern Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

02/07/2016

We had two days to experience YellowStone park. Mary, the owner of this hotel, was extremely helpful with suggestions on how to spend our two days in the park. She was spot on with all of her suggestions, and because of this we had a fabulous trip. The hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast gets busy so get there early. Our room was very quiet. I would stay there again.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Your comments are greatly appreciated by the staff, especially Mary. We take delight in playing a role in making our guests' visits to the oldest national park a fun and memorable event. For many of our guests their visit to Yellowstone Nastional Park is a once in a lifetime "bucket list" item. For others it may be a nostalgic return to the park with kids or grandkids. In all cases we are pleased to assist by sharing our knowledge of special things to do in the area. Plus, we like to offer a few insider suggestions to make our guests' experiences a little better. We appreciate your kind words and thank you for staying with us. We look forward to seeing you again. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Great stay also for few days."

01/07/2016

We was there for two days. The room was big and ok. The floor was very very dirty. Withe socks gone brown.. But the rest was clean. The staff was very frindly and helpfull. The breakfast was ok. The room for breakfast is a little tiny for all customers. But they made some tables outside in the fresh air. The pool is ok. Parkingslots are ok for a Tahoe but not for bigger cars or trucks. But they are free. All in all i recommend it. We come again for a few days.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and we are pleased that you will stay with again on your next visit to the Yellowstone National Park area. We are working on plans to expand the breakfast area and hopefully those improvements will be in place for your next stay. I'll certainly address your comments about a dirty floor with the housekeeping staff. We are committed to meeting high standards for cleanliness of our guest rooms and your experience is unacceptable. Thanks for letting us know so we can take corrective action. Nice hotel, just far away enough to get away from the crowds of the town. The rooms were nice, no elevator but they had staff on hand to haul bags to rooms. The pool was nice as was the hot tub. I found the front desk staff to be very nice and accommodating.

"good location for visiting Yellowstone park"

4
29/06/2016

Great breakfast & good location for visiting the national parks. Only downside was their inability to send me the phone charger that I had left. They referred me to an outside service whose price was too high. The cost of a replacement was less than the postage fee of the outside service,

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your response regarding your recent stay with us and please accept my apology for our failure to meet your expectations regarding the return of your phone charger. As indicated in my separate contact with you we do, in fact, refer guests that left items in the hotel after their stay to an outside vendor which is well equipped to pack, ship, track and bill for the return of lost or forgotten items. This is a one-stop service convenient to our guests. Many other hotels in the area use this service. The service also picks items up at the hotel for shipping and handling. Most guests appreciate the service because the vendor is very efficient and effective on handling the timely return of items for travelers, sometime forwarding items to another hotel. Yes, they charge for their service and sometimes for low value items the service may be of questionable value. There is no mail pick-up or delivery service available in West Yellowstone, so the alternative for hotels to handle lost or forgotten items is to dedicate an employee to travel to the post office to pack, post and communicate with the guest regarding the process and timing of the return. We are not as good at this as the vendor we use. This is especially true since it is not uncommon that there are several requests for returned items each day by guests who have departed. We try to offer all the services that are necessary to meet our guests' needs during their stays with us. Once they depart we feel that the use of an outside service to return lost or forgotten items is the most effective method to provide for the return of those items regardless of the value of the items. Again, we appreciate your stay with us and acknowlege your concern about the return of your phone charger. Based on your comments we will evaluate our policy for handling the return of small, low-value items to see if there is a better alternative for returning these items to guests who have departed from our hotel. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Good location"

27/06/2016

Stayed here for 4 nights and had everything we needed for our visit to Yellowstone. Close to the park but with all the shops/restaurants etc close by. Very friendly, helpful staff. Nice, clean, spacious room with fridge and microwave. Decent breakfast with hot and cold food on offer. Also laundrette next door which came in handy for us mid trip! Would definitely stay here again :)

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and that your took the time to share your evaluation of your positive experience with us. We continually remind our staff that their jobs are to do everything necessary to meet or exceed our guests' expectations. We'll pass your kind words on to them, which they always appreciate. Yes, our location in West Yellowstone is ideal for visiting all parts of Yellowstone National Park since we are so close to the poplular west entrance to the park. Included in the "package" are a variety of fine hotels, restaurants and services within walking distance. We are most pleased that your decided to pick us and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit to the area. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Over priced"

2
27/06/2016

This is a below average bw especially for the price. It is probably in the price range of west Yellowstone at nearly 300 per night but don't expect anything special. For that price consider the old faithful inn in the park. Sorry we did not do that.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and we apologize that your stay did not meet your expectations. We monitor our room rates daily as compared with similar branded hotels in West Yellowstone and adjust our rates to be competitive based on this frequent analysis. Visitorship to Yellowstone National Park set a record last year and the Park Service advises that this season will be even bigger. No doubt this record-breaking demand puts pressure on hotel room rates, restaurant prices and the cost of most services available in the area. Staying in the park at one of the many lodges and hotels is certainly an option. However one must be prepared to have a smaller room, no telephone service, no internet, no pool and perhaps sharing a bathroom with other guests at several of the in-park hotels. It is simply a matter of preference and convenience. The location of the lodging in West Yellowstone allows travelers easy access to all parts of Yellowstone Park, which accounts for the popularity and price of our location. We appreciate your commments and thank you for staying with us despite your perception of our property. We take all our guests' inputs seriously and make adjustments, corrections and improvements to our property and our service wherever possible. 24/06/2016

Stayed 1 night 31 May 2016 We were given a nice room in the new building of the motel on the 3rd floor – should have taken them up on their offer of help with luggage. It does astound me that so much money is spent on a new accommodation building and yet an elevator is not put in. An elevator sure does add to the comfort and convenience of your guests.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments on your recent stay with us and please accept our apologies about the absense of an elevator in either of our two buildings. We make every effort to have our staff make all our guest aware of the fact that we do not have an elevator at check in. As apparently was the case when you checked in you were offered assistance with your luggage. Also, if a guest has special needs we try to assign him/her a room on a lower level if they are available. Again, thank you for your feedback and for staying with us during your visit to the Yellowstone National Park area. We apologize that our property does not offer an elevator. We take steps to mitigate that fact in order to meet our guests' needs by offering special services and assistance to compensate for the lack of an elevator. "Pros and Cons"

Pros: Courteous front clerks and managers Helpful local info Clean rooms Good free hot breakfast Check in and out was easy Cons: Pricey, typical for tourist area Pool run down and dirty Room had chemical smell from cleaning Other: the parking lot filled up each night but we always found a spot. No towels at pool when we went but they had some at front office. Free WiFi does not reach pool area. Laundromat next door...unaffiliated.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us. Yes, we are in a destination resort environment minutes from the most popular entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Record traffic through the west entrance for the last two years has put pressure on room rates, restaurant prices and the prices of other services in West Yellowstone. We monitor our rates daily with respect to comparable branded hotels and make adjustments to remain competitive. Metro hotels do offer more competitive rates but require a 100-mile commutes to the park. Many travelers appreciate the convenience of the West Yellowstone location. Your comments about Wi-fi coverage in the pool area are appreciated. We are taking steps to add an additional Wi-fi access point for that area based on your suggestion. As you indicated we provide pool towels at the front desk, close to the pool. We'll make sure our front desk staff offers that service as each guest checks in to avoid any confusion. Thank you again for your comments and for staying with us. We appreciate the feedback so that we can make appropriate changes to meet our guests' expectations. "Pricey, but pleasantly surprised!"

Stayed here for one night after driving around Yellowstone. You are definitely paying Yellowstone premium prices, but what can you do? We had a dog with us and they are pet friendly, but you must reserve ahead because they on,y have a certain number of pet rooms. The front desk staff was very pleasant and welcoming. We stayed in room 123 which is the back building. It was a short walk from the front desk, but parking available right in front. It seemed this was recently renovated, could smell the new carpet. The room was very clean and modern decorations, including flat screen tv. It was a large room. Beds were very comfortable and we had a great night of sleep. Shower was very hot and with great water pressure. Wifi was ok, but not much quicker than the limited 4G data speeds. Hotel is about 2-3 blocks away from the "action" of the small town. Easy to walk to restaurants. The big sell is that you are less than a 5 minute drive from the west entrance to Yellowstone. I would definitely stay again, even at the premium Yellowstone rates (almost as high as NYC prices!).

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments on your recent stay with us. We are happy you enjoyed your visit and our location. Our pet owners appreciate being across the street from our large city park, which gives Fido a lot of room to run and romp. Also thanks for recognizing the recent renovations of the all hotel's guest rooms. We continue to invest in the property and if you come back to see us later in the season you'll see all new casegoods (headboards, dressers, tables and chairs in each guest room). Yes, room rates in West Yellowstone are higher than in metro area hotels 100 miles away, a function of supply and demand as Yellowstone National Park enjoys record visitorship. Well over 4 million visitors are expected to travel through the west entrance a few blocks from our property. This puts pressure on room rates, restaurant prices and other services provided in our community. But I think you will agree that our easy close access to our beautiful national park more than compensates for the cost. Thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you on your next visit. We booked this motel well in advance so got a decent deal for 4 nights in West Yellowstone and was very pleased with the accommodation . The welcome we received at check in was excellent and all the staff we met were friendly and positive . The location was pretty central and I would be happy to stay again if we were in the area . My only complaint is that I hate reformed egg for breakfast but unfortunately it appears to be common in lots of places.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We are pleased that we could provide lodging that was suitable for your needs. We appreciate your feedback very much and share it with the entire staff. Our goal is to make each guest's visit to our beautiful Yellowstone National Park pleasant and memorable. The reformed eggs are new to us and replace scrambled eggs on our menu. The form factor is to accomodate those guests who like to make breakfast sandwiches. We also serve omelets on alternating days. I apologize if the eggs on our menu were not to your liking. Thank you for staying with us and for offering your comments. We hope to see you again on a future visit to the area. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Nice Enough But Noisy"

12/06/2016

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on a pass-through visit to Yellowstone on our way to Glacier NP. It's away from the tourist crazy center of town and across the street from a park. Our room was in a separate building from where the arrival desk is located, and getting to our room involved opening 3 heavy doors and going up a half flight of steps. The room itself was fine but dated. There was what appeared to be a coffee bar area near the bathroom, but when we went to make coffee in the morning, there was no outlet in the area. We had to move the coffee maker to the desk. There appears to be virtually no sound insulation in the walls. We could hear every word from the man next door who had long conversations on his speaker phone. There were a group of Asian visitors who all had rooms near each other, and they were treating the area like a dormitory, with their doors open and visiting between rooms. (Little did they know they could have done the same thing with their doors closed.) All the conversation was noisy but not particularly distracting since we couldn't understand them. A caution about rooms in the rear building. The rooms on the first floor are a half flight down, which makes their windows at the exact level of car headlights when they pull into parking spaces next to the building. Every time we parked, we saw someone blinded by our lights. I would likely look for a different property if we visited again and couldn't get a room in the park. It's not a definite "no" but there were other options.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay with us. I apologize for the disturbance from your impolite neighbors and hope that you brought this to the attention of our front desk staff. We have senior staff who are trained to handle these situations diplomatically and to the benefit of all our guests. I will check into the issue you raised about the lack of an outlet for the coffee pot. The vanities where the coffee service is located has an outlet adjacent to it. I was not aware that we have any rooms that have a missing outlet, but we will certainly checck this out and take corrective action. Thank your for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your constructive comments and thank you for staying with us. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

We stayed here for 7 nights and were very pleased with our choice of this hotel as a base for visiting Yellowstone Park. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - particularly Mary who, when we checked in, gave us full details of what to see and do and helped us choose what we think is the best room in the hotel - Room 219. This room is at the end of a balcony on the first floor and, effectively, is private as it is not passed by any other visitors. Also its position is such that you can sit on the balcony and enjoy the last of the afternoon sun. The room itself was clean and spacious - an important requirement when you are going to be living in it for a week. Room facilities were good. Breakfast was also substantial and varied - only minor quibble is that the breakfast room itself awsa bit small so, t busy time, it felt a little crowded.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your kind words about your recent stay with us. Mary takes great delight in helping our guests enjoy the area during their visits and is our not-to-secret weapon. We also appreciate your patience with the size of our breakfast room, which can get congested when the hotel is full (which is the case during much of the summer season). As the Montana weather moderates we provide outside tables and seating so that our guests can enjoy the cool, sunny mornings while they enjoy a hearty breakfast. We look forward to seeing you again. "Another great stay at Best Western"

09/06/2016

We have come to expect great stays at Best Western, and were not disappointed here at the Weston Inn. summer is a busy time in west Yellowstone, and the staff here are kept hopping. the breakfast room can be a bit crowded ,with everyone hurrying to start their day in Yellowstone National park, yet there was never a want or a wait for any of the items presented for the breakfast. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff goes out of their way to make sure your stay is a good one.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
It was a pleasure having you as our guest. We appreciate your comments, which the staff enjoys hearing, both complimenary and occasionally constructive. We are exploring sevral options for increasing our breakfast area. When the hotel is full and our guests tend to show up for breakfast at the same time we agree that the breakfast room gets crowded. Hopefully we'll be able to implement one of our expansion plans to make this area less congested for future guests. We appreciate your understanding. Thanks for staying with us. I stayed here while driving through from Nevada back to Canada and it was the perfect place to stop. I was impressed with how clean it was how large the room was. Staff were very helpful as I wanted to explore the area, they were able to guide me in the right direction. The hot tub looked so relaxing, however I didn't have time to try it out. I would certain return when I'm in the area again.

"High price for a disappointing room!"

04/06/2016

Staying in West Yellowstone is always a gamble. For the $257 price hotel, we received hairs on our sheets, a smashed bug on the bottom sheet, a flickering light when turned off, a lamp with a burned out bulb, and hair in the shower. Bathroom is so small you must stand next to the Toilet to close the door. And our first floor room was below street level. No elevators - carrying everything up and down stairs. We will not return to Best Western Weston, West Yellowstone.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review

Again, we apologize that your experienced the difficulties you described and have taken action with our housekeeping staff for immediate corrective action. What a pleasant surprise after a long day in Yellowstone Park. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly checked into our room. We had specific room requests and it was happily granted. Rooms are not huge, but we're very clean comfortable and very close to downtown eating areas and shopping. We had an issue with the Wi-Fi connection. Jordan came up to our room and did not leave until all of our devices were connected and working properly. Jordan was so polite. We had a great time talking to him and appreciated him going the extra mile. The ladies in the morning were just as sweet. We will definitely stay again.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments and for staying with us. Yes, Jordan is one of our stars and we are happy that he returned to the hotel for another season. As an added bonus he brought along his new wife who assists him at the front desk. We hope to see you again on your next visit to the area. Thanks again for your comments and the opportunity to have you as our guest. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Not as advertised."

04/06/2016

When we made the reservation, we were told that this was the LAST room available, but when we got up the next morning and took a semi warm shower (no hot water), and went down for the OK breakfast, there were numerous rooms with the windows open and beds that had not been slept in. The price for this hotel was more than I paid to stay at an Embassy Suites overlooking the horseshoe falls at Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay with us. As indicated in earlier correspondence with you we are evaluating the no-hot-water complaint (now semi-warm water complaint) since we replaced and upgraded our water heaters and circulating pumps two years ago without a single complaint since. There are many reasons that rooms are made up when you passed by them in the morning including early cleaning of early check-outs and no-shows from the prior night reservations (uncommon during this season becausue of the demand for rooms). You may be assured that the hotel was full on the day of your arrival although other rooms may have been assigned to other guests with prior reservations that had not yet arrived. We constantly review our room rates to remain competitve with like-branded hotels in the area, all of us close to the very popular west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Last year was a record year of visitor-ship to Yellowstone (almost 4 million visitors) and the National Park Service reports that they expect to break last year's record attendance again this year. This demand puts pressure on hotel room rates, restauant prices and and prices for general services in the area. While we are competitive with like-branded hotels in the area we cannot fairly compare our room rates with the rates at hotels located in other parts of the country where the demand and supply dynamics are not the same. We appreciate your comments and will certainly address those issues that we can control. Hopefully based on your comments we can make the experiences of future guests more pleasant and fulfilling. "Good Location to Yellowstone National Park"

26/05/2016

While we prefer a different hotel brand which was not available in this area, we picked Best Western – Weston Inn. This hotel was better than what I expected. The room was very clean but the bed wasn't too comfortable. At least we were able to sleep OK. The people at the desk were very friendly. We were able to walk around the town. The breakfast room was pretty crowd and I wasn't too crazy with their selection of food. If we ever come back here, I'd like to come here again or I'd like to try Best Western Desert Inn. The distance to Yellowstone National Park was a perfect reason to stay here at West Yellowstone. Very nice and quiet area.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We are happy you gave our brand a try and found our property suitable for your needs. Your visit during an unseasonal cold snap in the West Yellowstone area put a lot of pressure on our breakfast area space. It seems that when the hotel is full many guests arrive for breakfast at the same time. We are exploring ways to expand the area, but in the interim we provide outside seating under propane heaters which many guests enjoy. As the weather warms this option is is offered every day to give everyone ample seating and in a comfortable environment. Thank you for staying with us and for your comments on your visit. "Very nice place to stay"

4
25/05/2016

The only reason I didn't give this an "Excellent" was the room location. Different rooms are probably fine but ours was right by the 2 doors going to the outside, so every time anyone went out or came in, you hear it. (room 116-A) We had our dog and the fee was more reasonable than most and there was a place across the street to take them to play and do their business. Just make sure you pick up after your pet.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate you comments and thank you for taking the time to respond to our survey. Most of our pet owners agree with that you that our hotel's location next to the large city park is a great way let their pets get a good run and let off some steam. We apologize that your room was so close to the entry doors and hopefully we can assign you to a room more to your liking on your next visit to the Yellowstone National Park area. Thanks for staying with us and we look forward to seeing you and your pet next time. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Older hotel with average room"

3
22/05/2016

Our room was on the backside of the hotel. As the last king room available when we booked online, we ended up with a handicapped room that appeared to have been remodeled fairly recently. The backside of the hotel though does not have any curb appeal and the parking was tight and very limited. The room itself was basic but fine for an overnight. The breakfast was better than average. The lady at the front desk was very sociable and nice and was concerned with our satisfaction. However, on a week long trip through the region, this was probably the least pleasant room we had-- with squeaky floors to boot!

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate the time your took to share your experiences with us regarding your recent stay with us. It is true that our property is older, but we continue to invest in upgrades and renovations to make our guests' experiences more pleasant and comfortable. As you noted the guest rooms were recently renovated and we are currently reviewing plans for renovating the exterior of the hotel with upgraded landscaping and lighting. This is a challenge because of the weather in West Yellowstone limits the opportuity to implement these changes. Regrettably your visit preceeded our planned improvements. We appreciate your staying with us and your candid comments. We take them seriously and we will continue to make efforts to improve our property. "Hotel location is a plus"

20/05/2016

Stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to Yellowstone National Park. The hotel is located in the middle of the town , 5 min from the West entrance to Yellowstone park. Most of the restaurants , bars are a walking distance from here. We found it to be clean and well maintained and had no issues with our stay. The breakfast spread was good.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for commenting on your recent stay with us. We are pleased to hear that your were satisfied with your lodging experience and appreciate the time you took to share it with us. Indeed, West Yellowstone is a very popular location for touring Yellowstone National Park because of its close proximatety to the West entrance of the park. Being just a few blocks from this entrance used by 3 million visitors each year our location allows a quick way to get into and out of the park with a minimum of driving time. Old Faithful is only 30 miles away, a real plus as compared with other more remote entrances to the park. We appreciate your staying with us and hope to see you again on your next visit to Yellowstone. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Best Experience at Weston Inn"

5
19/05/2016

Best Western Weston Inn, West Yellowstone. When thinking of visiting Yellowstone, there are three things to consider; which area, which accommodation and how to get there. We chose West Yellowstone and it could not have been better; it is about half a mile from the NP's west entrance and the closest town to most of the famous sites to visit; Firehole drive with cliffs of volcanic rock either side of the road and roaring river; the plains where the bison graze and roam; the fuming gaseous lower, middle and upper level geysers; and the mighty 'Old Faithful', which is 28 miles away! There is plenty of accommodation in West Yellowstone and we thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at the Best Western Weston Inn. Prices are competitive, rooms are well appointed, clean and cleaned and the hotel management is second to none, as I experienced when trying to sort out the shortcomings of Expedia. If it had not been for the accommodating nature of Jim, the GM, we would have experienced Expedia at its weakest. How to get there. Obviously there are lots of ways and different forms of transport. We chose flying Southwest from LV then hiring a car, all pre-booked and cost effective. It is a long drive and the journey can be broken at Pocatello. There are road and speed restrictions but beyond Pocatello an 80 mph limit helps the time to shorten

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review

The motel is located in West Yellowstone - the bed and pillows were really comfy - the layout of the room - twin queen - large and plenty of room to move about - wifi was bad - breakfast ok - but not enough room for all the guests - had booked on points - but they had debited my credit card - and it took quite a while for the credit to come back to me - overall ok experience

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate the time you took to provide us with some feedback on your recent stay with us. I apologize for the inconvenience your experienced with our WiFi. We did have a problem with our equipment, which has been rectified and the system is now operating properly. We have since increased the bandwidth provided by our internet provider by 66% so the expecation is that our WiFi service will improve significantly. The hotel has been full very early in our season, which has accounted for high traffic in our breakfast area during certain times of the morning when it seems many of our guests decide to show up for breakfast at the same time. We are exploring ways to expand the area and hope to incorporate those sin the near future. Regarding the delay in getting the credit for your debit card used at check-in this process is based on the policies of the banks and regrettably we have no control over this. We encourage our front desk staff to suggest that credit cards be used at check-in for incidentals, etc. even if the room is paid with Best Western Rewards points. Consequently credit cards are typically never charged since we only charge at check-out if there are no additional charges to a guest's room. This is not the case with debit cards which are charged immediately by the bank and it take several days for refunds if we post no additional charges at check-out. Thank you for staying with us and for your constructive comments. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"GREAT VALUE"

11/05/2016

Finding a moderately priced accommodation in West Yellowstone is a challenge. Several months ago, I booked a room at the Best Western Weston Inn. The rate was terrific when booked ahead. Mary, at the front desk, greeted us with great enthusiasm. She wants every guest to live their bucket list dream by enjoying the Yellowstone experience. Mary shares information, eagerly oversees breakfast, and takes time to offer suggestions for places to eat in West Yellowstone. If a visitor stays at the accommodations within the Park, getting use to NO WIFI, NO TELEPHONES, NO READING LIGHTS IN THE ROOM, and NO TV is a challenge. Arriving back at the BW Western Inn was like coming home.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments on your recent stay with us. We agree that Mary is one of our treasures and she takes great delight in helping our guests maximize their experience in our beautiful national park. You're also right that it is a "bucket list" item that many guests have finally achieved and she wants it to be a memorable one. Her enthusiasm is infectious and it helps motivate all our staff to remember that our guests needs are our first priority. We are gratified that you have recognixed and appreciate these efforts. "OK but!"

2
10/05/2016

Hotel was more of a motel type of building with rooms entered from an outside walkway. Room was large with two queen beds which were comfortable. We both woke up in the morning feeling unwell ( dizzy, blurred vision & feeling sick) and noticed that the carbon monoxide sensor was quietly beeping intermittently. We told reception about this potentially dangerous situation but they tried to convince us that we were probably suffering from the altitude. Since we have spent the last forty years skiing in the Alps we knew our problem wasn't altitude. I do hope they have room 204 fully checked since we referenced CO symptoms on the net which confirmed our suspicions.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your input regarding your stay with us and your difficulties with the CO2 sensor. I personally checked the CO2 monitor and replaced the battery, despite the fact that I could not duplicate the problem you reported. I returned to the room twice thereafter and the alarm was quiet. It is very importnant that issues like this are reported so that we can identify the cause and take timely corrective action. I do not have a good explanation for how CO2 could have infiltrated your room, especially since it is located on the second floor away from automobile exhausts or other sources of contaminents in the atmosphere. I can assure you that we will continue to monitor this room to try to identify the problem so we can fix it. We appreciate your staying with us and apologize for the difficulty your experienced. Hopefully your comments will help us avoid problems for future guests. We also hope that you will consider staying with us again on a future visit to the Yellowstone National Park area. Our room was clean & originally for Accessibility. Large and spacious for those needing the space. Mary is warm, friendly and VERY knowledgeable about the area. Staff in the breakfast area were top-notch and kept the area clean and presentable in-spite of the large groups coming and going until 9am. Wide selection of breakfast items for such a cozy space. For those on a family budget, this is a safe, clean and appropriate motel. A large park is across the road from the motel for children and pets. Pool was not open yet on our stay.

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay with us. We have upgraded our breakfast service and are delighted to hear that those efforts are noticed. All our staff has a responsibility to provide service levels that exceed Best Western standards. We will continue to reinforce that activity by hiring the right people and training them well. Our breakfast attentants are doing a good job of serving our breakfast items so they are warm and fresh. Your kind comments have been shared with them and they are flattered by your response. Mary, of course, is a great resource for us and takes great pleasure in assisting guests in making the most of their visit to our very large national park. This motel is the older of the two in town, but it could not have been more hospitable. Mary made sure all needs were met and that guests were comfortable with no issues. Though the motel was aged, it was clean and the breakfast second to none (it should be listed on the web site as full breakfast instead of continental - the gravy & biscuits put the eggs and meat in the shade)! While I thought the price was a tad high, one has to consider this town is apparently a "high-rent" district because of Yellowstone Park.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your kind words regarding your recent stay with us. We have upgraded our breakfast service and we appreciate your acknowledgement that we met your needs. Many of our guest give us positive comments, like you, about the biscuits and gravy. These items help provide our guests with enough fuel for a busy day sight-seeing in our beautiful national park! Regarding room rates we monitor our rates daily as compared with the other major brands in the area to make sure we are competitive. Most of the time our room rates are slightly less that our competition. Yes, it is true that in general room rates are higher in our destination resort area than the rates in metro areas 100 miles away. However we make every effort to provide value with superior service and cleanliness that makes our guests' stays worthwhile as compared with "commuting" several hours a day from distant communities. Of course being located just a few blocks from the most popular entrance to Yellowstone National Park offers benefits enjoyed by many travelers. Thank you for staying with us and for your kind words. We hope to see you again. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

The staff and rooms were just perfect for our stay. Breakfast was very good and I appreciated all the advise at checkin in my first visit to the area and the park. We could walk into the charming town which was a plus.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your kind works. We especially appreciate your feedback since we just opened for the season and are "getting our thumbs" in order. We hope you had a pleasant visit to our beautiful park and have a safe and enjoyable trip. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn

This hotel is located just a short drive from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park in the cutest little town. It is right next to a laundromat and a Chinese restaurant (didn't try their food so can't comment on it) and the gas station is right up the street. Just a few blocks down is The Buffalo Bar & Casino, a must try eatery! The room is typically what you would expect from a Best Western, spacious and clean. We had a room on the first floor and parking was right outside your door, super convenient for loading and unloading your things. The breakfast room is pretty tight so you would have to plan your meal to avoid the crowd. The price is a little high for what you get but thats expected when staying near a major tourist area.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us. West Yellowstone is the most convenient location for touring Yellowstone National Park and is the reason that the west entrance to the park attracts over three million visitors each year. This year was a record for visitors according to the Park Service, which put a lot of pressure on room rates, food prices and services in the area. However, we monitior our room rates daily to make sure we are competitive with similar branded hotels in the area. We are aware of the congestion in our breakfast area when it seems most of our guests choose to visit at the same time. We are working on several alternatives to expand our breakfast area to reduce the bottlenecks when the hotel if full, as has been the case for most of this season. Please accept my apology for any inconvenience this caused you. We appreciate your staying with us and hope that we can see you again on your next visit to Yelllowstone National Park. Clean rooms and polite staff. Easy access for any vehicle. Pulling a trailer with personal pontoon boats and had no problem parking. Nice location. West entrance is a nice distance to old faithful and other main attractions. Price was a little high but enjoyed our stay.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us. We appreciate the feedback, which helps us correct any issues. We are pleased that our parking worked out OK for your trailerable boat. We agree that our location just a few blocks from the popular west entrance of Yellowstone National Park is very convenient for all our guests and makes navigating our huge park much easier. Thanks for staying with us and we hope you caught the big one! Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

The room was clean and the breakfast was good. We only stayed 1 night and left early in the morning to head to the park. I wish I would have know the pool was outside and only open seasonally. The manager in the morning was very friendly and quick to ask if we had any problems.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
I apologize if there was confusion about our outside pool. We try to make it clear to our guests when they check in that our pool is closed when the weather is not conducive for using the pool or hot tub due to near freezing outside temperatures in the evenings. Of course, our guests enjoy these amenities during our hot, sunny summer months. Regrettably, those conditons are rare in October when you visited us and few if any guest choose to use the pool during those times. So we shut these features down for the season. We thank you for your feedback and appreciate your staying with us. We are gratified that the balance of your stay with us met your expectations. My family and I stayed here on a trip to Yellowstone. I am a best western rewards member and so we picked this hotel because it is a best western. On arrival the room had no remote and when I spoke to the kid at the front desk he was like we had a rough year and I am not sure about any remotes but he did find me a remote. The next morning the blow dryer did not work and we spoke to a nice man at the front desk and he made sure we got it taken care of that day. When the maids cleaned though they left half the dirty towels out and did not fill up the body wash that was empty. The parking was not very good so we had to park at the park across the street. The breakfast room is small and was very busy and hard to find somewhere to sit. It was not the worst place I have stayed but not the best.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Please accept my apology for our failure to check that the TV remote was available and working in your room when you arrived. It sounds like the front desk staff was able to rectify the situation, but it should not have happened in the first place. Regarding the hair dryer, they do tend to fail and we have an ample supply of spares. We replaced yours once you made us aware of the problem. We are looking at alternatives for expanding our breakfast area, which is indeed challenged for space when the hotel is fully booked. Exacerbating this it seems that many of our guests occasionally show up for breakfast at the same time during our four-hour breakfast service period. We are fully aware of this issue and are pursuing ways to rectify it. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced in our busy breakfst area. We appreciate your staying with us and thank you for your constructive comments, which help us improve our service. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

When we arrived the hotel in the evening after a long tired day, we were greeted by very friendly working staff. When we asking about the dinner options, because sometimes we find it difficult to find a good local restaurant to satisfy your stomach, the receptionist named Logan gave us various suggestion, we really appreciated his help. With the good location, free Wifi and breakfast, I think my overall staying here is more than excellent.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
I've passed your positive comments about Logan's service on to him and he extends his appreciation for your thoughts. Logan is a "local", a lifelong resident of the area, so he adds an element of local insights and suggestions to help our guests navigate through the city and the national park. He is an asset to our team and we thank you for taking the time to recognize him. We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit the to Yellowstone National Park area. Right near the entrance of West Yellowstone park. Plenty of eating places in walking distance. Walking distance to the majority of the stores in West Yellowstone. Don't forget to check out the Grizzly bear and Wolf center in case you don't see them in the park. A must see.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thanks for taking the time to comment on our hotel during your recent stay with us. Our location near the popular west entrance to Yellowstone National Park is convenient for all our guests and we are thankful that you decided to choose us among many other fine hotels in the area. The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center is one of the jewels of West Yellowstone and is a treat enjoyed by young and old. When we have guest swith small children we explain the childrens program the Center offers. This program allows the kids plant treats for the bears in the compound for the bears to find. The moms and dads usually report that their visits to the Center provides a lifetime memory for the whole family. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

I enjoyed the stay at this hotel as it was central to walking in West yellowstone and very close to the Yellowstone Park. The room had been updated and it was very comfortable. It was great to visit in the Fall as there were not a lot of people. We did miss the spa but we didn't have much time so it wasn't a problem

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Your comments on our hotel are greatly appreciated and we thank you for staying with us during your recent bisit to the Yellowstone National Park area. We're glad that you enjoyed our recent renovation of our guest rooms and apologize for the spa problems that you experienced. Unfortunately we cannot predict equipment failures, but we try to put things in order as quickly as possible. Regrettably not in time for your stay. Hopefully on you next visit to the area you will stay with us again and enjoy soaking in a toasty 104 degree hot tub. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

18/10/2015

The price for what we got in a room was very disappointing. Not like most of the best westerns we stay at. Will never stay here again. The room was small, the bathroom was a 1960's style, and the parking was terrible.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We apologize that you found your experience with us during your recent stay so disagreeable. There is no question that our property is not new, but we continue to invest to improve the comfort and appeal of our hotel within the limits of the basic structure. For example, we completed a renovation of all our guest rooms two years ago including new carpet, new paint, new bathroom tile, new fixtures and general upgrades of amenities. We continue that investment, although we are unable to modify rooms sizes and other structural elements of the hotel. We understand that we cannot be everything to everybody and regret that your experience with us did not meet your expectations. There are many other fine hotels in the area including a very acceptable Motel 6 that is a newer hotel a few miles out of town that may better suit your needs on your next visit. We appreciate your kind words regarding your recent stay with us. Excellent location to Yellowstone and superb breakfast that is truly available for late risers like us (fresh hot eggs and sausage up until 10 am). Very clean and room was adequate, with the bed comfortable. But the main advantage and the reason for the five stars is that the staff is fantastic. Always friendly and provide a wealth of great info about Yellowstone. This is my go to place to stay!

"Such a PLEASANT Surprise!"

5
10/10/2015

This Best Western is conveniently located (close to the National Park entrance), the check in staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is large and comfortable, for the area and pricing, this is an excellent value. The best surprise was the wonderful hot full breakfast in the morning. Apparently the hotel has been serving a full hot breakfast with delicious meats and eggs for the past two years and the Best Western website still list them as serving a Continental Breakfast. At checkout, we saw the owners and they were really pleasant and made us feel so welcomed. They really cared about maintaining the quality of their place. So if you are looking for a good value, look no further.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for reviewing your recent stay with us. We appreciate the time you spent and for your comprehensive evaluation. We especially value your kind words about our breakfast service and our staff. We are neither the newest nor the largest hotel in West Yellowstone, but we try as best as we can to help provide memorable experiences for all our guests visiting the spectacular Yellowstone National Park. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and hope we can see you on your next visit the the area. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Annual Yellowstone Trip"

05/10/2015

As part of our annual 2 week trip to the Yellowstone area, we have stayed at the Best Western Weston Inn many times, and stayed here recently again for 3 nights. We like the location as it is easy walking distance to West Yellowstone restaurants. We always stay in the annex as the rooms are much larger. The rooms are always clean, secure and functional. We were pleased to see the upgrade and remodel of the rooms as well as the breakfast room/lobby. The owner has put a lot into the upgrades and it was very nice. The managers of the property are very engaged in the operation, service oriented and helpful. Will stay here again.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Thanks for choosing us again and for taking the time to share your experiences with our hotel. We're glad you noticed our guest room renovation since we continue to invest and improve the property. Our goal is to provide clean and comfortable rooms and your acknowledgement of this is truly appreciated. Great stay. The room was large and comfortable. It was quiet, which is very important to us. Parking was good. The staff was very professional and helpful, especially w/r questions about Yellowstone Park. We especially appreciate the day manager Mary, who went to extra lengths to help meet our needs as seniors, even though she was dealing with a fully occupied hotel.

Both Mary and I are very pleased with your comments on your recent stay with us. She does and terrific job of assisting guests, especially first-time visitors, in planning time-efficient and pleasant tours of Yellowstone National Park. "Nice Hotel"

04/10/2015

This is a nice hotel, easy to find, staff are friendly and helpful. Car parking is a problem with insufficient parking spaces for the amount of rooms in the hotel. To get a good parking space arrive early. The rooms are a good size, very clean and the beds are very comfortable. This hotel is in an excellent location, if you are visiting Yellowstone National Park, as the West entrance to the park is only half a mile away.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your kind remarks regarding your recent stay with us. We remodeled the entire hotel two years ago and have found that most of our guests have been pleased with the results. This endeavor included new carpeting, tile-work, granite counters, wall paint and fixtures in all our guest rooms. Thank you for staying with us. We hope to to see you again on a future visit the the Yellowstone National Park area. Jim Brye, General Manager Best Western Weston Inn West Yellowstone, MT

"Disappointing "

2
03/10/2015

This property was a poor value for the money. The walls were paper thin and the breakfast was full of processed foods. While the interior of the rooms have been upgraded, I still would not stay here again. In fact, I would avoid West Yellowstone altogether! prprocessed foods. verprocessed.

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
I apologize that your recent stay with us did not meet your expectations. It has been a very busy season for most of the hotels in West Yellowstone and typically the local hotels including ours are fully booked. With this high level of traffic there is always a possibility of noise and congestion in the hotel. Our staff is available to assist guests in dealing with noisy neighbors if brought to their attention. We make every effort to provide fresh food with twice a week deliveries and all the items we provide are either fresh or frozen depending on the item. We are not a restaurant with individually prepared dishes and not equipped for that level of food service. Occasionally some of our guests request recommendations for local breakfast restaurants and we are happy to suggest several restaurants and cafes that offer extensive menus of quality food. Most of our guests find the quality and convenience of our breakfast offering to be very acceptable. In fact, we regularly get compliments about our breakfast service in terms of quality and abundance of food. I am sorry that our breakfast offering was not to your liking. We thank you for staying with us and hope that the balance of your visit to our beautiful national park was pleasant and memorable. "Disappointing Stay...Noisy Room, Tour Groups and Chaotic Breakfast!"

2
02/10/2015

We've just had a very disappointing 4-night stay when we were expecting to have a lovely peaceful once-in-a-lifetime visit to Yellowstone NP. We made our booking nearly a year in advance, and we're Best Western members...but that doesn't guarantee you a nice room at this hotel. We were given a room in the new building which is like a dormitory building. It had no outlook, and we had a window which looked onto a messy backyard and a right-there satellite tower with fan-cooled electrics at the bottom operating all night...making for poor sleep. We tried to get a different room as soon as we arrived but the reception clerk was firm that that wasn't possible because the hotel was booked out. We didn't want to have any hassles so stayed...even though we did discuss finding another hotel. The building we were in had very bad sound insulation and it was so busy with tour groups while we were there...so the noise overall was bad..and the tour groups made continuous noise...loud talking at all hours, slamming of doors very early etc. In our room we could hear the talking in the adjacent room, plus coughing, sneezing, microwave, showers, toilet fan etc etc.We asked people to keep the noise down quite a few times, but they couldn't care less. As a result of the hotel being fully booked and with the tour groups, the situation in the small breakfast room was chaotic...quite ridiculous really. I don't know how the hotel lets this happen. (Maybe they could have an extra breakfast in the dormitory building as well when they are booked out). This hotel obviously didn't suit us, so if you're not concerned at all, and you get a good rate, go for it. We paid a high rate... and expected to have a good experience. We're writing this from a lovely BW hotel in Twin Falls...it's half the price, the hotel has met our requests for a quiet room, and there are no tour groups! .

Jim b, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Weston Inn, responded to this review
Please accept my apology for not meeting your expectations during your recent stay with us. We try to accommodate our guests at any time that they have special needs or problems. We certainly would have moved your room after your first night if requested. Its distressing that you felt you had to endue an unpleasant experience for four days and certainly would have responded in any way possible to make adjustments in your accommodations. West Yellowstone is a very busy destination since we are so close to the popular west entrance to Yellowstone National Park, Our hotel along with many other local hotels have been fully booked for most of the summer season. Accordingly, there is usually a lot of traffic in the hotel and in our breakfast area. Unfortunately we cannot always control noise from other guests, but our staff is trained to respond to noise complaints if they are brought to the attention of the front desk. I thank you for staying with us and regret that your stay did not meet your expectations. Hopefully if you choose to visit the area again you might consider a less busy part of the season to visit the park when the area is not as busy and congested as you experienced.
