Best Western Plus Hotel Rose City Suites, Welland

Stayed here with my hubby been reserving the same suite for years main floor . Love it . It's homey the service all the staff is so nice . They Really listen to your needs . Breakfast is excellent so organize . Wish they served until 11:00 am not 10:00 am. For those Not everyone is up at the break of dawn . We are on holidays and nice not to rush . Have late dinners . Anyhow that's that also if you get a room on the main floor . You will hear the people above . I do not care I am good . Be nice for them to have a portable air conditioner in bedrooms. Also a bench at fr Front entrance would be a bonus . Ax it feels like a home away from home . With all this it's the best . I was offered to go to the new holiday in down the road .Nope this is the place for me . My hubby and I would even live here if I could Patricia and Rene

Friendly, helpful and professional staff. They were very helpful at a stressful time, as we were there for my sister's living wake. I was even able to print out my speech at the media station. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchenette, to put beverages in a fridge and have dishes to use when we brought take away to the room.

Staff were very friendly. Room was perfect for our stay, although a small table and chairs would have been nice to sit at to eat food. Very clean and updated room. Bathroom was clean and updated but they didn't swap the bath tub (still a metal tub with some minor rust).

Very clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Newly renovated and updated. Had a room with a fully functioning kitchen. Close to many beaches. Would have stayed longer if there was availability. Would appear to book up quickly.

Cleanliness of riom was great. Check-in was easy. Were here as part of a wedding group. Love the shuttle service provided. Driver was excellent! Breakfast was available and good. Parking does not seem adequate.

I found cockroaches in my room and when this was reported to the front desk there was NO follow up. The in-room entertainment was cheap basic cable that didn't even offer PPV, The rooms were noisy The front desk staff, while civil, apparently didn't care about the comfort of their guests.

Clean & comfortable room! Staff were so kind, and really cared about our stay. Breakfast was well stocked, hot, and clean. Internet worked as expensive expected. Probably one of the best hotel stays we've had in recent years. Would 11/10 recommend.

We stayed at the Beat Western Rose City Hotel for my daughters wedding. We were all able to check in early. The rooms were big, clean and fantastic. The staff from the front desk to housekeeping were the friendliest staff I've ever met. They were all happy and couldn't do enough for us. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Beds and room comfort first rate! Employees were helpful, pleasant, great southern Ontario hospitality. Stayed in Room #305, quiet back of hotel, great sleep AND wonderful walking, biking trail backs onto the river - boats, picnics, am jog or evening stroll! Bonus prize! Would give it a 5, along with other BW plus properties, if there was a swimming pool after a long hot basketball tournament.

Not COVID aware. Staff were not wearing masks. Guests in public areas were not wearing masks. Breakfast food was exposed to guests not wearing masks. Food delivery person was allowed access to elevator without wearing a mask. Room was fine and clean. Staff was good at checking. They were just lax about disease prevention.

Great hotel right off the Welland Canal trail. Suited us very well. Pleasant and caring staff. Close to walking trail on Merritt Island. Would definitely stay here again. Lots to see on the canal in the summer months.

We had to stay in Welland for a few days this past week. I needed to book several rooms over three days. I had to make several adjustments to our initial booking. The front desk staff were thorough, accurate, understanding and friendly during every discussion. Once at the hotel, every staff member was friendly and helpful, We're going back to the Best Western for our next trip to Welland.

We needed to stay in town for a family funeral. The hotel staff was very accomodating and helpful. I called ahead to inquire about an early check-in so that we could change and prepare ourselves for the funeral and the staff was very understanding and accommodating, making this to happen for us. The room was clean, cozy and well-equipped and the beds were very comfortable. We were thrilled with our stay!

Convenient location. Super clean, great smelling hotel. Plenty of parking. One of the most helpful, friendly staff members I've ever encountered. Somewhat pricey but unless you travel to Niagara Falls you won't find anything cheaper..

I stay at this hotel during our winter work season. My room was basically a small apartment with everything you need. Very clean, great staff that will go above and beyond to do the best they can to make your stay that much more enjoyable

I have been to different hotels in Welland, ON and all were average, I did not have high expectations for this visit. I came in to the hotel, it smells very clean, the staff were very friendly and supportive. The room was excellent, very clean as well, it has a small kitchen and the stuff you need. Overall, I had a great experience and for sure if I am in Welland again, it will be my go to hotel.

I traveled to this hotel with my husband to enjoy some alone time. First, I have to comment on the cleanliness, our room was spotless. Second, all rooms have the added bonus of a kitchenette, it came in very handy, and the comfort level of the beds was wonderful, so comfortable we actually both slept through breakfast accidently. Lastly, the staff here were all so kind and helpful! Great place to stay, that's super close to Niagara!

The staff at the best Western in Rose City Suites are very helpful and lovely. They are so friendly and they always make you feel welcome. The complementary breakfast is hefty and a quick in and out. The bed and the pillows are very comfortable.

Almost got a 5/5 out of my except for very minor issue with bathroom cleaning. Compared to the rest of my experience it was not a big factor and I found the front desk was very efficient in ensuring check-in and check-out was easy. Rooms are huge for the price you are paying and very comfortable, especially with two TVs with one in the living room area and one in the bedroom. Would be nice to see refrigerated milk in the vending machines and couldn't find that but not at all a big issue. Plenty of parking, excellent lights in the room and temperature control worked great. I will absolutely stay at this hotel again the next time I am in the Welland area. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. The property and rooms are great. The rate wasnt real cheap, but in line with all the other hotels in town. The location isnt in the middle of town, maybe a 5 to 10 minute drive from the area we spent our time in. No big deal, but not walking distance to anything more than a Tim Hortons. Would defiantly stay again.

The front desk staff provides absolute terrible service. Very unprofessional, not helpful and unpleasant to deal with. They need to replace them or send them to a seminar training course so they can learn and understand how to properly do their profession. Would not recommend this hotel unless you are prepared to be yelled at and talked down too by the staff. 1 star.

I left keys in the guest room. One hour later, I received a call from the front desk staff and told me about this matter. That staff saved my day! Otherwise, I would have been going back to the hotel from home if no one told me about the lost keys. Thanks again Jimmy

This Best Western is excellent in every way! We had booked 10 nights & wanted to leave for a night for a side trip. They never charged us & we even got the same room we had before we left when we returned even though they were booked solid!

I recently stayed in the Best Western Plus Rose City Suites. The suite was huge, clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely return. They include a grab aned go breakfast, which is handy if you are driving early in the morning as I was.

Room was extremely clean. We had a kitchenette with full size appliances and a separate bedroom. Room charge was very reasonable. Enjoyed our stay and will consider staying again when we are in the area.

My husband and I went away for a getaway to escape Covid and do something nice. We stayed for one night here and wished we'd stayed longer. From the minute we walked in, it was one of the nicest Best Westerns we'd stayed at. We are Platinum members and travelled a lot in the past before Covid. The lady at the front desk was amazing and our room was simply beautiful. It was a suite with separate living room, entire kitchen, separate bedroom and bathroom. We loved it!!!! The breakfast was grab and go but we were given a sheet with a nice selection and we could pick what we wanted. It was quite good and we had lots to eat. The breakfast lady that filled our order was friendly and very efficient. Check out was fast and again the staff was wonderful. We had a great experience and will definitely recommend it and come back some day soon.

We have stayed several times at this hotel. Good location, fantastic staff. Suite is well equipped with dishes, cutlery. Good parking. The hotel will need some updates soon, as some areas are looking a little tired, but nothing serious. Breakfast option for a contact-free breakfast was excellent. Felt safe during our entire stay. Always look forward to staying here when visiting Welland.

The hotel's team were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean. Sleeping was easy and the noise level was almost non existent. As the phones in the room were not working (as were several other rooms), staff were very helpful by providing a text number to get things if needed.

The service was by far the best we've ever had at any hotels we've stayed in. The check-in was easy and quick. My 4-year-old son was so excited to be there and the ladies at the front desk took a moment to sit on the couches to watch him dance. The rooms were very clean, well kept, spacious and very comfortable. I would stay here every time we're in the Niagara region!

I cannot say enough great things about this Hotel. Large clean room, king bed was so comfortable. Staff were so friendly. A room to store your bicycles. Lots of options for breakfast to go since they cannot do buffet. Its too bad they didn't have a pool but they are right beside the canal and there is a dock that l assume locals use to swim off

The bicycle storage room was an addition this year, I am glad you had the opportunity to use it and enjoy our cycling trails. There is swimming permitted in the canal, perhaps give it a try the next time you stay. We look forward to seeing you here again.

Its my first stay at a hotel after covid happened and was extremely pleased at the level of detail and cleanliness of this hotel. The remote controls for the tvs were changed to ones that could easily be sanitized. The room itself was neat and tidy and very clean in appearance. A modified breakfast was available for pickup in the morning that consisted of prepackaged muffins, pastries and breakfast sandwiches which were pretty good. I would stay here again. Its easy to get from the hotel to Port Colborne and Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake are all short drives away. The only comment is that there are no restaurants close to the hotel, you must drive to other locations in Welland to find a restaurant but no more than 10-15 minutes away.

Beautiful hotel with very large well laid out rooms. This was my second trip here for business and I highly recommend. The staff are very helpful and courteous. The rooms feel and look clean. Small kitchenette large separate bedroom. Modern amenities

I truly liked this hotel stay a lot. I was so comfortable and the bed felt like I was sleeping on clouds (very soft - ,maybe too soft for some) and it was like a nice, 1 bedroom apartment. You do have to drive at minimum 20 mins for any big company restaurants and shopping, which is not too bad.

Front desk staff are all amazing very friendly and accommodating. We were running late for check in and called to let them know. John answered and was very helpful over the phone. He even started some of the check in procedures so when we got the there the process was much faster as we were travelling with a 3 year old.

Services was fantastic, front desk attendees where very friendly courteous and helpful, location by the canal is very good and close to walking and bike paths, we appreciated access to a bike storage room, breakfast was good and well managed given Covid restrictions, house keeping staff helpful and available when needed.

We are from Ottawa and travelled to Welland, Ontario for the funeral of a dear friend. This was our first travel and hotel stay since January 2020 and not the first trip we would have wanted. The family of the deceased recommended Rose City Suites and it was also close to the funeral home and church. The staff made things so easy for us and displayed a lot of empathy. The location beside the Old Welland Canal was superb and we plan to come back and enjoy the city under happier circumstances. We will definitely be booking Rose City Suites.

our suite was really nice.love the seperate bedroom and the tv in both the living room and the bedroom .Make sure when you book room to ask for pots and pans if you plan on using the stove as there is a limited amount.Beds are super comfy rooms are spacious .Staff is very helpful .Definitly stay here again

You can feel very safe and clean staying here during these crazy times in 2021. I stayed at this hotel for 10 months while trying to find a decent rental during a time when it is very difficult. I would highly recommend it. I am a person who values clean. I love everything about this hotel and the staff is 10 out of 10....would highly recommend. I sleep soundly and comfortably and I'm provided with everything I could need. The managers (Anne and Lynn) will go out of their way to accommodate you. Don't think twice. Book with confidence and tell them Sherri sent you, lol.

Very courteous, friendly staff. Cleaning crew the best. They pay attention to all the details. Staying for 6 to 8 weeks and its just like home. Ample well lit parking. Very quite area. The room was modern with USB plugs in the lights for my phone and WiFi was excellent.

The place is clean and the staff go above and beyond to ensure everything you need during your stay is available. The rooms also come with breakfast which is grab and go during covid but great choices

Rooms are freezing. Cold air coming in around the ventilations from outside. Windows not sealed cold sir. Blankets thin and not warm. Small square pillows horrible to sleep on. Only one vending it's on first floor way back.

I love staying at the Welland BW and this last stay was no exception. The summers there are great as you have access right behind the hotel to the water. This time was a winter stay and it was just as lovely. The staff are always very kind and helpful and the rooms are always super clean and cozy. I love having the suite it just makes all my business travels seem like a vacation. Definitely recommend staying a this BW next time you are in the area!

This is the cleanest hotel with the biggest rooms I have come across in Niagara region. The bedroom is big. The living room is a great size with pull out couch that is very comfortable. My daughter prefers sleeping on it, so I get the bedroom to myself. The kitchen is a great size and easy to fix meals and comes with everything you need, or just a phone call to the front desk. I needed a potato masher and had one in 5 minutes. I love the bathroom and linens. They are very CLEAN and I had many NEW towels and linens during my stay. I have everything I need when i stay here. It's so QUIET and I sleep so well. The staff is very professional and friendly. It's a pleasure to see them during your stay. If I see a housekeeper and need anything, it's always provided. My bed is like a cloud. There are so many pillows to choose from and they are clean and soft and cozy. I love all the vending machines and I LOVE the ice machine. You don't have to scoop it. It's a cleaner method to just put your cup under the thingy and it comes out. I've been staying here while house hunting for a new home. That should be a stressful time, but it's been so peaceful here that I forget to get stressed. THANK YOU BEST WESTERN PLUS and to Anne and Lynn and thee entire staff. This hotel is a very clean hotel. Staff was very friendly. The room was awesome and clean. The only thing that was little bothersome was no hot breakfast, because of covid. No ones fault. Just missed the hot breakfast. But besides that it was awesome for myself and daughter and granddaughter.

If you're worried about cleanliness than this place is for you. Our room sparkled! We brought our own cleaning products but they weren't needed. Staff are professional and friendly. Due to current pandemic, breakfast is grab and go (brown bag style) choice of the basics, coffee and tea in rooms and lobby. All staff and guests were wearing masks. Did not feel threatened at all. We made use of the sofa bed, hubby said very comfortable, bed in suite was comfy but squeaky. We could hear people walking above us so you might want to try the top floor, we were on the ground floor. Overall, very comfortable stay and road noise is minimal to none. Don't hesitate to book it's very good value for the money.

My daughter and I have stayed here several times and are back after 3 years. We love the renovations and the rooms are fantastic. The staff is so accommodating and friendly. The room was just lovely. We were in the area for a family funeral and we were sleeping much. It was nice to grab a coffee and watch the sunrise over the canal just steps behind the hotel. It was the perfect way to start the day. It was wonderful that the room had a little kitchenette and separate sleeping quarters because my partner and I were not on the same sleep schedules and he ended up sleeping on the couch which was a great option. Everything was well maintained and in perfect running order. The hotel staff were very friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.

Stayed with 15 families for hockey tournament. Excellent location. Terrific rooms with kitchens - full 4 burner stovetop, mini fridge, microwave. Great option rather than eating out every meal. Free hot breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Best Western in Welland when we visit the Niagara region. They provide a consistent high level service and accommodation. We especially enjoy their spacious Suites. Also Welland is situated a short driving distance from all the major attractions which is very convenient.

The rooms are clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly, The breakfast is excellent - It is continental plus.. Good basic breakfast. This is my hotel of choice for this area (I have had to stay in a few of the other hotels in the area when there were NO rooms available at Best Western, they do not compare but their prices are the same!) Very courteous and friendly receptionists! Love the bright modern decor - my style. Breakfast is always fresh and the atmosphere quiet. I come in late and leave early - bedroom has a TV and lots of pillows and bathroom has a hairdryer. All a girl needs.

This is our second time staying at this hotel due to location size and value. The staff are very courteous and helpful and go out of their way to accommodate. The size of the rooms would compare to a timeshare suite and are well appointed. We will definitely return.

Hadn't stayed at a Best Western in years and was delighted with the upgrades that have been made. The suite layout was great with two comfortable beds located far away from the hallway entrance, a spacious living room, a well equipped kitchen and a clean adequately sized bathroom. All was pleasant and cozy comfortable!

This hotel exceeded all expectations. It is beautiful, very well cared for and our room was perfection. The price was very reasonable for a basic room, but for a suite, it was fantastic! Excellent value! The staff are extremely friendly and professional. Truly a wonderful stay!

I stay in Welland a couple of times a year. This is my spot. It is located along a quiet stretch of road. The lobby is attractive with some inviting chairs to read the three newspapers available. You are greeted with a smile in the course of the short check-in. There was a small fitness area in my wing. The suites are nice, complete with a kitchen, living room, separate bedroom and a bathroom. The handrail in the tub/shower area is a good idea. The wifi was easy to connect to and reliable. I am a big fan of the coffee/tea facilities in the room. The thermostat could be easily adjusted. The breakfast area has 28 seats over 10 tables. The fare was varied, from fruit, yogurt, muffins, toast, porridge, waffles, juices and hot options of scrambled eggs, sausages and potato chunks. The place has a comfortable feel.

This is where I always stay when I visit Welland. Nice hotel, convenient location to visit around the Niagara Peninsula, it's always kept very clean, comfy beds, comfy linens on the beds, VERY friendly and attentive staff. When I travel to Welland alone, I always feel safe at this hotel, and the parking lot is well lit up for the car. While I don't use every appliance in the kitchenette (don't use stove/oven for example), it's really nice to have a fridge, microwave and some counter space, if you are going to be there for several days. Coffee and breakfast are both great to have as well. The same staff - manager, assistant managers, front desk, room cleaning - have been there every time I've been for the past 6-7 years - this tells me the hotel is well managed/run, and staff are happy. It always shows when I speak with them! I only wish I'd known about their Green program before I arrived. Would have happily earned points for having them only clean my room every few days (was there for 6 nights.)

Staff, location, value all excellent. Rooms are comfortable and large suites. I found the location was close to restaurants, highway access. Loved the morning coffee and pleasant staff. Rooms are very quiet as we didn't hear a peep.

Travelled with a 92 year old with Accessible requirements. This room was fantastic with plenty of space and comforts. Price was good. Breakfast one of the best we've experienced. Staff super friendly. Housekeeping was always close if needed.

The hotel was clean. In our room I guess they forgot the floors since there were leftover chips by the couch and under the desk. The kitchenette floor also had some sticky spots. The bedroom and bathroom were both clean which is extremely important. The hotel has been renovated, only problem was they should have put more thought into soundproofing. We had to listen to our ceiling creak every time the guest above us took a step.

First time in Welland and booked this on line. The hotel was spotless from the front lobby to every corner of our room and the breakfast area that we visited. Rooms were a generous size and having a tv in both the sitting area and room was a bonus. Front desk staff when we checked in and out were friendly and professional and offered insight into where to park. And even where to sit at the graduation at Niagara College, based on their own experience!! Would stay here again if ever in Welland!!

The suites are big with a kitchenette. Rooms and grounds are very clean. Breakfast buffet is fine and convenient. The staff is very friendly. The lady at the reception notied my francophone accent and proceded to talk to me in French. Nice touch. Merci!

We stayed at the hotel as the result of my mother's death. We live in Owen Sound which is a 4 hour drive from Welland. We wanted a peaceful place to stay and the Best Western provided that and more. We had to finalize funeral arrangements, attend the visitation and the funeral. A wonderful retreat after a very stressful few days.

My family and I attended a wedding in the area and we're pleasantly surprised with the spaciousness of the rooms and grateful for the early check in. The complimentary breakfast had lots to offer and was quite delicious.

Our stay was wonderful. Everything was super clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and had lots of selection. The gentleman on the front desk went to a lot of effort helping us find a restaurant that was open on Thanksgiving Monday evening.

The Rose City Suites was excellent - room, food, service - all great! Would loved to have been able to swim - so a pool would have been nice. Would definitely recommend to others - fabulous spot! Thanks so much.

The suite was large, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was large, nice towels and basic but ample breakfast was included. We walked along the canal that runs behind a parking lot behind the hotel. I would stay there again if visiting the Welland/Port Colborne area in the future.

Located steps away from the Welland Cannel, beautiful spot to sit, relax and enjoy. The rooms are large and spacious with a separate bedroom. The Breakfast was better than most hotels. Definitely will be returning

Our rooms were clean and spacious. We had a very large group that were in town for a wedding and I only heard positive comments about their rooms. Make sure you check out the waterway right behind the hotel - it's a beautiful.

After an emotional day and an after dinner meeting I find out at 9:30pm that my reservation made elsewhere a month earlier was not available. It was after 11pm when I checked in (n the verge of tears) and the receptionist was most understanding.

Had a great stay! Quiet, friendly and clean. King Suite was a pleasant surprise. Took a nice walk along the waterfront. Free parking was since, and easy to get to. Breakfast was a nice selection of Continental and North American food.

This hotel only offers suites. I booked a 2 queen bed suite. The beds were in a separate bedroom area. There was a nice living room area with a sofa, coffee table and desk. There is also a kitchenette with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, sink, coffeemaker with coffee/tea service, and dishes/silverware. The suite was clean and organized, although I found a pill on the living room floor when I first checked in. The outlet next to the coffeemaker was dead and I had to move the coffeemaker to the counter next to the stove to be able to use it. I reported it to housekeeping, who was right outside the door when I was getting ready to leave for the day. A manager came up to look at it and tried resetting breakers, but was unable to fix it. The outlet was still not functioning for the remainder of our stay, which was another 2 nights. Overall, this hotel is superior to many that I've stayed at and the price is reasonable for the amount of space that you have to live in. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was decent, although the breakfast area seemed cramped and crowded due to limited seating and the other guests were loud.

Our stay at this hotel was most enjoyable. Very conveniently located. Large, adjacent parking area. Check-in was exceptional. Both friendly and efficient. All areas were extremely clean and pleasant. Elevators, breakfast area, coffee area, and lobby were all located just inside the front entrance. The breakfast was great with varied hot items and many other offerings. The attendant was very present, visible, amiable and attentive. Check-out was quick, efficient, and friendly. The value was excellent for this property. We will be back again if the opportunity presents itself.

Everything about the hotel met with my needs, from the friendliness of the staff to the size and cleanliness of the room. I was part of a cycling group and the cycling path was accessed right behind the hotel. I truly enjoyed exploring the canal and would definitely come back.

A wonderful place to stay! Though a bit out of the way, easy and quick to get to Niagara on the Lake and Niagara Falls. Really great staff and the suites were awesome! Free parking. Also a great hot breakfast. And the price was really reasonable (2 nights for what would have cost 1 at a decent NF hotel which much more than you'd ever get there!)

Stayed one night while celebrating a family wedding. Was directed here by wedding invite. Glad to use as I tend to favour BW line of hotels for their excellent standard of service. Greeted by front staff in friendly manner. Room was a suite and quite comfortable even though we were right next to elevator which did not bother us with any noise. Morning breakfast was tight quarters for seating. Normal BW scrambled eggs and sausages and bagels/toast. Staff welcoming and good service to clear off tables as people came and went. Cost was reasonable for a border community hotel. I would certainly consider returning to this hotel.

This is the Best Best Western I've ever stayed at. Rooms are all newly renovated. Even showers are spotless. Separate sitting area and full kitchen. Staff friendly and happy to help with any requests. This is my 4th stay in this hotel and will not be my last. A great hotel to stay in when taking students to nearby Niagara College. Only negative comment would be to have one or two softer pillows.

Before booking a room in this hotel, I thought their weekend rate seemed high. However, the rate was for a two-room suite with kitchen, and the serve-yourself breakfast was of good quality. The hotel is on the canal / park system, and was within walking distance of my main event. The room was a bit noisy over the weekend ... the sound of people locking and unlocking their doors carried ... but the Hotel provided earplugs.

Was my bucket list to visit Niagra Falls. Wanted to stay outside of the busy tourist section and chose to stay at this hotel based on the excellent reviews. Did not disappoint at all! Want to mention that Sandy went above and beyond to make sure we had all that we needed for our stay. Also want to mention the woman that takes care of the breakfast in the morning is so patient and kind to all who come in for their morning meal. She makes sure that everything is well stocked and machines are all in working order and also well stocked. This impeccable hotel is located in a great area that is close enough to all the attractions shopping and wineries. Beds were very comfortable and the airconditioner was in great working order and kept our room a perfect temperature. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need. We had a king room on the third floor with full kitchen and a livingroom. Was like a 1 bedroom apartment. TV in both rooms. Good channel selections as well. Bathrooms are very clean with plenty of hot water and soaps and shampoo is provided. Can ask for more if needed. Towels are clean and plenty as well. Complimentary breakfast is really great! So much to choose from! Contains anything you would need to complete your first meal of the day for those who require a big hearty meal down to those who just need a little to get there day started! Definitely recommend this hotel and would most definitely stay here again!!

My wife and I stayed at BW Plus Rose City during our visit with family in Welland. Tiffany checked us in and she was an excellent ambassador for the hotel. She was very friendly, explained area dinner options and gave us an overview of the hotels' amenities and breakfast hours. We stayed in the king bed suite and found the room to be very comfortable for our needs and the bed was very comfortable. The HVAC worked well and was quite during its operation throughout the night. The breakfast items offered were your typical hotel hot breakfast choices but they were constantly resupplied during breakfast hours. It was a good hotel to stay at. We stayed at this Best Western when we went to Niagara Falls. It is about 30 minutes away from the falls. It is close enough to be convenient, but far enough away to get out of the crowds and high prices! The room was amazing. There was a fully functional kitchenette and a separate living room space. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean and fresh for our arrival. We were only there overnight, but I would definitely recommend it for a longer visit to the falls area.

Great hotel. Travelled with 3 kids, the spacious suites with kitchen are perfect. Very clean and the beds are super comfortable, even the pullout. Breakfast is basic, but includes cold and hot items, so it definitively does the job. It was our 2nd stay and we'll surely go back. I strongly recommend!

Stayed for two nights in June of 2019. Anniversary/cycling mini vacation. Booked a single queen suite and was very surprised at the size of the room! Upon entering the room you walk into the kitchenette/living room. Kitchenette had an under-counter fridge, sink, 4 burner stove, microwave and enough utensils for a couple. Hint: make sure the fridge is turned on when you arrive. Living room had a chair, sofa & tv & desk. In a separate room was the bedroom and 2nd tv. Two large closets and nice size bathroom. Room was very clean and maintained. Staff at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast in the morning included a number of hot and cold items. Did not disappoint. And if you are a cyclist, the Welland Canal Trail is right out the back door. You can go south to Lake Erie/Port Colborne or north to Lake Ontario/St. Catharines. On the last day we checked out and went for a bike ride. Upon returning in the afternoon we used the public restrooms to change clothes before starting the trip home. My wife accidentally left her cycling clothes in the washroom and didn't discover she was missing this set until 2 weeks later. I called the hotel, described the clothes and they had been holding them (they hold lost and found for 6 months). After confirming our mailing address, they mailed the wayward clothes back to us. Many, many thanks to Sharon & Ivy for taking care of this! The other staff members gave us excellent recommendations on local restaurants, etc. We would definitely stay at this hotel again! Note: I will echo one other comment that the room above us did have squeaky floors. We were in room 212 & don't know if this issue occurs all over the hotel or only in certain places. We only noticed the noise in the evenings & didn't disturb our sleep. It wasn't something that would be a deal breaker for future visits.

Excellent caring front desk team both day and nightshift, 24 hours printer and scanning in good working condition, Well prepared breakfast, high speed internet connection. I will recommend the Best Western Plus Rose City suites to guests on business and pleasure trips. Building is located off roads and rails which enable sleep quality and waking up refreshed. My husband and I stayed at this Best Western for 2 nights: clean, modern, standard good breakfast but with some perks like fresh tomatoes and friendly staff! but best of all for us was that we quickly learned that the hotel is right beside the fantastic cycling pathway that takes you all the way from Ste Catherines to Port Colbourne on Lake Erie and this hotel is only 2 KM from the Welland International Flatwater Centre. And to top it all, as I left on Mothers day morning, staff gave me a gorgeous flower!

I was doing a few races in nearby Dunville. I asked a local person in Dunville for great place to stay for the night. It would have been too tiring to travel home and come back the next day (125 KMs one way). So I travelled to Welland based on directions I was given and what a pleasant surprize! What struck me first about the hotel was the great upkeep of the building and the parking lot. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. I wished I could have stayed more than one night. The complimentary breakfast was with many choices was excellent. My room was a suite and well worth the money. The suite was well suited for an extended stay. The suite had loads of storage space. My sleep was pleasant. I slept well and the hotel was quiet. I recommend this hotel to any one who is looking for safe and comfortable accomodations.

We can't say enough good things about this hotel. We were a large group in town for a wedding as the family of the groom. All rooms were clean and well set up with a great kitchen area. All staff were so friendly, saying hi in the hallways and breakfast room. The food at the breakfast buffet was really great. Lots of choices and some gluten free options as well. The staff were kind enough to allow us to get together in a room off the breakfast area late at night so we could continue the party, but not disturb the other guests (not too much, I hope). I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others planning accommodations for a large group. Thank you again for your hospitality!!

Stayed here for a basketball tournament. Very friendly staff, large clean rooms, pretty decent breakfast. Would definitely stay here again if ever in Welland. Been to many hotels this past year for tournaments and this one was my favourite by far!

My family had a reunion and many people came from out of town and stayed here. They were quite pleased. Rooms, hospitality, Location was perfect with a view looking out to the Welland Canal. Close to the event and shopping and restaurants.

We were really impressed with the size of our room and all the amenities it included. We received a discount on our room fee as we were attending a funeral, so that was greatly appreciated. I would definitely come back again.

The occupants in the room below had a loud TV all night. We weren't able to sleep at all. I called the desk service at 3 a.m. and was told that she will look into it. Nothing changed. In the morning we left the hotel exhausted. At the check out I was offered an apology. This is not acceptable.

We arrived to a speedy check-in and went straight to our room, 217. The hallway on the second floor was extremely noisy and after entering our suite and shutting the door, we realized the noise was barely muted at all. Directly across from our room was a room marked "Electrical Room" and there was also a very large vent for the heating/cooling system; which either one or both was the source of the noise. I returned to the front desk and asked if a different room was available given the noise from the electrical room. I was informed, "We don't have an electrical room." So I replied, well the noise from the room and the vent across from us, which is labelled Electrical Room. I was then told, there is only one panel in the room so it shouldn't be noisy. So I started again, and asked is there another room available away from the vent beside the electrical room which is making all the noise. We were then offered the room directly beside us. I declined since that wouldn't make a difference and said let me go back to the room and figure what we want to do here. At this time, we were then offered an upgraded suite at the far end of the hall, which was as far away from the vent as we were going to get, so we gratefully took this option. Room 223 wasn't subject to the continuous din from the ventilation fans or whatever the noise was from. The suite was large with two queen beds and an en suite 4 piece bathroom. The sitting area had a couch, desk, and TV and was situated next to the kitchenette with half-fridge, stove top and microwave. It was spacious and the area immediately inside the entry door was a large foyer area and minimized hallway noise as none of the sitting or sleeping areas opened directly into the hallway. The thing I most appreciated about this suite though was - the windows opened. This is a seldom found pleasure in many hotels today. The suite was for the most part, clean, although the couch could use a cleaning as it looked like recent food stuffs had dripped on it in a couple of places. The walls and door, though either wall papered or painted over had very large, very noticeable, and very poorly patched former holes. The beds and pillows were fresh and nice and there was ample toiletries and towels in the bathroom. Pots and pans were not included in the suite but are available at the front desk. Noise of a different sort quickly became an issue. This is the first hotel I have stayed in where every footstep from the room above was quite audible, as if there was no carpeting upstairs. Every time someone in the room above walked, sat down, peed, or otherwise made movement or noise - we heard it. Which, I guess explains the three sets or earplugs on our bedside table. I fell asleep to the sound of footsteps from above and woke up to the same. Breakfast was good and including hot offerings such as eggs, sausage, pancakes and waffles. The very best asset for this hotel is their breakfast staff. They are engaging, friendly and very attentive. An absolute delight! They epitomize excellence in customer service and obviously take great pride in their work. I am torn in rating this hotel because of the noise issue first and foremost, but also because of the nightly rate I paid. The only hotels I have ever paid more for per night are the Chateau Laurier and the Royal York... two totally different levels of hotels from this one. Perhaps had I paid half of what I paid I would consider it worth it and have an easier time rating this hotel. As it is, due to the lack of greater amenities such as a pool or restaurant, the level of noise from other rooms and ventilation systems, and that the check-in desk didn't directly address my initial noise concern but instead opted to debate the existence of an electrical room, I have decided to rate on the lower end of the scale. I don't envision myself opting to stay here again and likely won't suggest anyone else do so either but for those who don't mind a lot of background noise and are looking for a large suite, it certainly offers that.

we were in Welland to run a hockey tournament for Weekend Hockey tournaments and stayed here. It was fantastic,.. they are going through a renovation currently but the room was fantastic with a full kitchen suite TVs in the bedroom and the living area. very quiet room and a great breakfast and helpful staff

We had a great stay at the hotel. It was clean and very big. We each had suites and the price was extremely reasonable. Although the hotel is currently going through some upgrades, the noise was never a factor. The work was done during the day when we were out. I can only imagine what it will look like when they have completed it. We were thoroughly happy with our stay and it was very close to the competition which helped out greatly.

Stayed here numerous times...never had an issue...great value...extra room and kitchen is just another great value added item. Foolishly stayed at a hotel in the north end last time in town to try their heated pool...NEVER AGAIN!! Will be back here next visit irregardless of logistics...

Spending Christmas with my cousins, I decided to stay at this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lobby was pleasant and nicely decorated for Christmas. Hotel including my suite were spotless. The extra space of a suite is a nice bonus.Bed was clean and comfy. Free wifi was adequate. Anyone could find something warm, tasty and healthy in the breakfast options. I wanted to work online and print a couple things so I appreciated the computers and printer. If you need a hotel in the Welland area I would highly recommend the Rose City Best Western Plus.

I love this all suite hotel. Really nice accommodations and having the extra room a major bonus. Wish all the suites had pots and pans however, as we would have used them - I didn't realize till later that we could have rented them. My only complaint (as it was a bit annoying) was the bed was really squeaky - really squeaky. Bed was comfy and sink-in-able pillows however, so that helped. I'm not sure if anything can be done to fix the squeaky bed thing, but I would imagine other people would bring this to their attention also. But the rest truly did help overshadow this. The breakfast was truly great - and we will definitely be back again next time in area.

We were looking for place to stay after visiting in the area. The price was great, especially with breakfast included. As I hadn't researched the hotel before arriving, I was surprised to find that the hotel room was actually a one bedroom suite. The room was very clean, the linens were fresh and new. There was plenty of hot water and a kitchen area with a mini fridge, stove and plates/glasses. We didn't need to use any of these though as the breakfast was excellent...cereal, pancakes, eggs, sausages, fresh fruit and yogurt, etc. Plus, "Gluten friendly and non-dairy items available on request". The staff were very friendly and worked hard to keep the breakfast area clean and replenished. We were very impressed and happy with our stay.

Great helpful staff mostly, free breakfast saves time and money. Rooms are starting to look a little aged but very clean. TVs in both bedroom and living room. This past visit the bed was starting to sag quite badly on one side. Heating worked very well and was very quiet.

Overnight stop on the way to the Upper Peninsula and found this to be a comfortable stay in a clean two room suite. Friendly staff with helpful information on local history and local restaurants. Location on recreational waterway to walk along, a nice change from being in the car. Ear plugs were provided due to creaking floor from walking in the room above, annoying but would not stop us from staying here again.

Perfect location for our rowing event. Excellent dining nearby at Talis. Easy access to the canal and waterfront trail. Lovely view of the canal from our room. Room was clean and spacious. Early breakfast available.

Clean! friendly staff! spacious rooms! location was great- a recreational canal was right behind the hotel, so we were able to walk to dinner/lunch in town, and get right out onto a biking trail. breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, pancakes as well as juices, yogurt, cereal, etc. We will be back.

Nothing fancy, but everything you need for a great stay. Super clean! Standard breakfast. Pancakes and lots of peanut butter and bagels. No fitness room, but just go outside. There is so much to do. Very friendly helpful staff.

The Best Western Plus Rose City Suites in Welland, Ontario was the perfect choice for our bicycling club. About 50 of us stayed for five nights. We were provided with a room to meet in and store our bicycles. The suites themselves couldn't have been any better--very roomy and comfortable. A plus was that the Welland Canal Trail was literally right out the back door! Recommend HIGHLY.

We visited here for 5 days with a group of 50 cyclists. The staff was extremely accommodating. All of the rooms had a kitchenette and a living room with a sofa bed. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best we've had anywhere. The hotel is right on the Welland Canal Bike Trail. We really enjoyed our stay.

From the outside the hotel looks fairly regular. However upon entering it was clear that upgrades had been done and it was more than welcoming! Rooms spacious and the separate suite room definitely a plus! Beds and pillows luscious. Would go back again in a heartbeat! Breakfast wonderful. Loved the fresh tomato touch. Very clean, and spacious room! We had a great 2 night stay. We wish there had of been an option for a late check out for the wedding party, seeing as the room was only used for a short period of time prior to check out, but overall still a great time. Easy to find, and close to town.

Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, great workout room. Super location for visiting Welland, Port Colborne area. Great staff, friendly, attentive, very caring. Great value for the cost. We've stayed here before and will again.

Stayed here for one night and I was very happy that I chose the Best Western in Welland. The room was clean, spacious, and well laid out. It had everything I needed plus a kitchenette that was a nice bonus. Staff was friendly and helpful. Included Breakfast was a very nice start to my day. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.

The first thing that attracts me is the complimentary earplugs supplied by the hotel management for "light sleeper"; what a thoughtful idea. The next morning, I know why! Around 5:20 am the next day, I was waken up by the clacking sound as well as toilet flushing sound from the room above me. Ah, that is what the earplugs are for! Yet, I don't think this is the hotel's fault but the age of the hotel does. The management has done the best they can offer to minimize the impact (clacking sound) to the clients and ensure them to have a quality sleep. The room is spacious, clean and well organized. There is kitchenette in room, in an open concept manner linked to the sitting area. The bedroom is separated from the sitting area so that my better-half can sleep while I am watching TV outside of the bedroom. The breakfast is buffet style and the serving time is from 6 am to 10 am. I would say, the choice of dishes is limited but this is what a standard complimentary breakfast can offer. I have no complain here. The breakfast area is a bit small but the staffs there are helpful and working hard. They clean up the tables very fast in order to reduce the waiting time for the next customer to get a table ready. Thanks for their efficiency and hard working. From the experience of my stay, I would recommend to get a room on the 3rd floor that can minimize the impact of the "morning call (clacking sound and the flushing)". Please be considerate not to originate this type of "Morning Call" too early in the morning.

Have stayed at this hotel many times and the reason why I return is simply because, in my opinion, it is the best hotel in the region. On this occasion, I stayed twice, either end of a holiday visiting family. On both occasions, the staff were extremely helpful with eating suggestions, the rooms (suites) are large, comfy and well kitted out with kitchen etc. The complimentary breakfast has all you would need and the items are fresh and good quality. This hotel is particularly good if you are staying more than a couple of nights as the space in the rooms allows you to properly unpack and make it home from home.

We stayed here during our trip to Niagara Falls, and chose to stay in Canada rather than on the US side. We enjoyed our stay, the room was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The drive to Welland was easy to do without a GPS (since we did not have access to mobile data in Canada as US residents), and was not too long. If you're looking for a place near Niagara, but not necessarily within the crowded city, then the Welland location would suit your needs quite well.

We were in one of their lomgterm stay suites with a kitchenette. The whole experience was great. The kitchen was furnished (barely but enough) and the staff were super helpful amd accomodating. A great stay overall.

Stayed here for two nights while visiting various sites in the Niagara region. The hotel is very comfortable. Beds were cozy, everything was impeccably clean and the breakfast was good - lots of choice and the layout of breakfast room was nicely efficient (unlike many I've seen where everyone is clustered into one corner, no matter what they're looking for). Welland is about a 30 minute drive or less to Niagara Falls and other tourist areas, so a great option if you're travelling by car. Especially good for a family as the bedroom is separate from the living room, and the kitchen is well equipped.

My Husband and I are traveling again, and stayed at Best Western Rose City suites last night. Our room was incredible, large, with separate bedroom and lounge area. The room had a fully equipped kitchenette. The living area was nice and spacious accommodating all our luggage. Breakfast was superb, a really nice variety of breads and cereals. A complaint about the oats and granola was that it was rancid in taste. Needs changing often! There tea and coffee area also had a great variety of teas, and you had the option of vanilla or hazelnut individual milks. We used the business Centre which was totally organized with our needs. A definite return to this venue. Well done!!

Stay was good. For the price the things seemed to be more cramped...in. I have seen Best Western in other locations being spacious for lesser price. Again, it may the law of the land that matters too. Most of the things I have seen are in US. This was my first visit to Canadian location.

Worst sleep I've ever had at a hotel. Ceilings creak loudly and the utilities are very audible as well. Otherwise hotel is not bad. Would have rated 3 out 5 of but I wasn't even asked how my stay was when I checked out.

My husband & I needed a place to stay near our daughter's regatta, this fits the bill to a T. Three minutes from the course, breakfast included, no charge for parking, clean and great space in the 1 bedroom King suite. Would recommend.

on the long weekend we decided on a little drive and just decided to stay the night in Welland,coming from Barrie. Asks two locals and they suggested the Best Western. I generally look for reasonably priced accommodation and a deal. Modest accommodation as in cheap I suppose.Well as a treat in spring an a glorious day here we are. Accommodation is not just a room but a suite.. two televisions so we each could watch our choice of programs. BW. Rose City offers comfortable one bedroom suites with good kitchen facilities. This was our second visit in a year. Cleanliness of the rooms and linens were appreciated. A generous breakfast is available. Cooking a light meal in the room offers an alternative to restaurant meals.

The value was excellent, the staff was very nice and helpful, and the room was perfect. The breakfast was excellent every morning with a nice variety in a very pleasant dining room. The room was large as was the bedroom, and the little kitchen was great to have. Very comfortable bed made sleeping easy. The location is good with a pharmacy, corner store and coffee shop right on the corner less than 5 minutes walk away.

Unexpected gem in Welland; plenty of amenities nearby without having the insanity and congestion of Niagara Falls. If you don't need to be at the Falls, this location allows ample access to everything nearby, from wineries and plant nurseries while not having to be on the side of a highway!

Stayed in room 304. Well worth choosing this place. We were able to buy food and make dinner and lunch. The breakfast had something for everyone and it was included in the cost. It wasn't the crappy continental breakfast you get at other places. We stayed for 4 days and the staff were helpful and the rooms clean. We used the king bed and the double pull out bed from the couch. Both were fine Definitely will look for this hotel chain when needing a place to stay in the future.

Very enjoyable several day stay! All of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very good. Our room was a split suite that had the master bedroom separated by a door from the living room and kitchen. Nice size TV's were in both the living room and the bedroom. Very good closet space in bedroom with nice hall closet at entrance to the room. Nice, well-stocked kitchen with service ware in the kitchen cabinets. Cooking utensils/pots/pans/etc available at front desk for check out. Comfortable living room. Great hot/cold breakfast everyday, 7-days a week. Great place for an extended stay or overnight stay.

I had never stayed at a Best Western Plus with a suites set up before. The price was very reasonable though not peak season. There is no charge for parking. The place had a clean look, the brightly lit halls in muted colours. The room was excellent from the separate bedroom to the sitting area to the kitchenette. There was a stove, microwave, sink, plates and utensils if you wanted a night away from restaurants. The size of the room was more than adequate. The hotel is in a quiet area of the city, an at most 20 minute walk from several restaurants near the Welland Canal. Wifi was good in the room. The breakfast area seated about 30. The fare was not lavish but certainly satisfactory. It might be a good option for families visiting Niagara Falls if you want a place away from the hubhub of that city, yet alone the summer prices in the Falls. Newspapers were available in the lobby. For being appreciably better than anticipated, two thumbs up.

This is a dreary hotel in a very dreary area. It has the feel of the 1970s about it. There is no bar and no restaurant other than for breakfast and as far as I could tell, no bars or restaurants nearby, at least, not in walking distance. That said the rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable, although old fashioned. Breakfast is simple but very good quality and the staff are all very friendly. Its not expensive and therefore I would .say its good value. If all you need is somewhere to sleep, this is a good hotel. There were very strange noises at night. I have no idea what they were but they were from outside. Sounded like a vehicle backing up for for a long time.

One night stay in February for a curling event. Excellent room with separate bedroom, so lots of space. Very clean throughout. Breakfast as per norm, so good way to start the day.Not much that is close in terms of food services, but short car ride takes care of that.

I have stayed at this hotel several times for business trips and it's always great. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is delicious and the rooms are big! The only reason I gave it a four star instead of five is because when staying on the second floor you can hear the person above you walking around quite a bit. It probably wouldn't have been so bad, but the person above me was walking around at 2:08 a.m. I would definitely recommend asking to stay on the 3rd floor instead of the 2nd.

Absolutely amazing highly recommend this property. I will for sure be staying here again. Very clean and well maintained. I would have liked a pool on property however NOT a big deal. There was a hockey team in the hotel that was pretty loud but when I mentioned something to front desk they took care of it right away. Keep up the great work!

Spent Christmas day and Boxing day with a herd of relatives. It was stressful because 2 members of the family chose this year's Holiday Season to be on their WORST behaviour. We arrived to check-in to our prepaid suite in a frazzled state. The check-in was easy and the evening clerk handled us with extra TLC and in no time we were on our way to our room. The suite had a complete kitchen, well maintained and sparkling clean, The beds were very comfortable and there was quite a lot of stations to choose from on TV - all had clear signals too. Would have been better off cooking Christmas dinner there and having a few friends over! The staff were genuinely polite and cheery. The room was great, quiet and a joy to recharge within. Check out could no have been swifter. Seriously great suite with 4 burner, well vented cook top, appliances and great plastic drinking cups that were not the flimsy, easily spilled type either! I give the room a "VERY GOOD" rating because the sofa was a bit uncomfortable but everything else was ship shape, clean and well maintained.

We came here for one night while in town for a family Christmas. Rooms are surprisingly large with a full kitchen and fridge. While we didn't make use of the kitchen it was nice to have a fridge. Rooms were immaculate, including the bathroom. Bed was comfortable but small - It must have been smaller than a queen. Living room offered a pull out couch and tv with another tv in the bedroom. Most staff were quite friendly while a young girl at the counter on check in was quite rude. Unfortunately we came when the hotel seemed to be at capacity with a children's hockey and volleyball tournament so there were kids everywhere. We wished that staff would have encouraged parents to be with their children as many were left alone to run around the hotel and play in the elevator. We had to wait several minutes on a few occasions for an elevator with our stroller which was very frustrating. The complimentary breakfast bar was great - it offered a wide selection including yogurt, cereal, muffins, bagels, muffins, pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and home fries. Again, the eating area was overrun by many rude children and it made for a terrible experience. We would stay here again - hopefully not when there are several children's sports teams in town.

I've stayed many times and am always pleasantly greeted and served while at the hotel. I appreciate the separate sleeping space and free breakfast and free parking. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and with two TVs, my husband and I can watch one show while the kids enjoy something else. We also have lots of room to store our belongings without stepping over each other. And being able to sit on a couch while enjoying entertainment makes sure we can separate sleeping from activities. Makes for a more restful night!

The Staff is so friendly you can not ask for a more small town reception. Really make you feel at home. The fitness room has a great assortment of equipment. I have been to a lot of hotels and this one is by far the best. The breakfast is of good variety and healthy.

This is my go to hotel in this region. The suites are spacious, well furnished with comfortable furniture, easy to use temperature controls and a reasonable price for what you get. The internet was stable and fast. Bathroom was clean, well-appointed and comfortable to use. Free breakfast includes hot meals and makes for a nice start to a day. Staff was friendly, professional and easy to approach. Lots of free parking and easy access to major routes and amenities such as shopping and restaurants.

We booked this for a weekend getaway and we weren't disappointed. The rooms are large with a separate bedroom and a small open concept living room and kitchenette. Fridge/stovetop/microwave and coffee maker are included. Plates/cups/glasses and cutlery in the kitchen as well. The rooms were spotless and the king size bed was ultra comfortable. Quick check in and very pleasant staff.

We were in the Niagara region and decided to stay in the area. Best Western Plus Rose City turned out to be a great decision. Sandy the receptionist was very friendly, the rooms are suites, we had a separate bedroom with TV, a living room with TV and a kitchen (full size stove & fridge, microwave, and service for 4), a buffet breakfast is included scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, breakfast meat (ham the day we were there), tortillas with fixings if you want make a breakfast burrito, pancake maker, breads, bagels, English muffins, 3 cereals, plus instant oatmeal, juices, yoghurt so, fresh fruit, fruit cocktail, more than enough to get your day started. Plus just outside the breakfast room is coffee/tea/hot chocolate, many varieties of tea setup which is available 24/7, plus you have a coffee maker in your room as well. Would certainly consider staying again if in area. Fallsview Casino is about 25 minutes away and Niagara on the Lake is about 40 minutes or so.

Great customer service and hotel was clean and breakfast more than adequate. Did not get a canal view but good just the same. Location was very good and access in and out. Nice and quiet area without highway noise.

Enjoyed our stay. Family wedding. Many rooms were booked and I think we were all satisfied. Amenities, staff were wonderful. Front desk went out of their way to help with anything we needed. Rooms were large with a separate bedroom, which was great since we had a 3 year old with us. The only thing that is possibly missing is a small table with a couple of chairs. We had to sit at the coffee table to eat.

Everything at this facility was great, however the elevator quit and due to lack of parts was not in service for part of a day. ( no fault of the hotel ) They had it repaired ASAP. Room was clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable, Breakfast was great both the hot meal and the cold cereal. No complaints would recommend to travelers as a great choice for accommodation.

This was a necessary place to spend some time locally that enabled me to complete the house sale. Spending time here allowed for final clean up while furniture was removed.this was a stop before. Leaving area Welland to move to Ottawa.

Excellent accommodations with friendly staff and management. Breakfast is a welcome amenity. Suites are clean and comfortable. Welland is located in an area with many alternative hotel offerings. Recently updated. Quiet. Comfortable. Breakfast fare is better than the usual. Just seems a little expensive for Welland though there are not many options where to stay and BW seems like one of the better.

This was a very nice hotel. The breakfast was very good. The hotel was a little pricey during the weekend, probably because there aren't a lot of places to stay in the area. We could hear the people walking in the room above us at night.They must have thin ceilings.

I was very impressed with how friendly the staff was. Great value, spacious room that was clean and comforable. On my list of favourite motels. A bonus was being next to the canal with a walking path.

First visit to Welland to attend a wedding. Staff at the hotel were fantastic. The rooms were clean , atmosphere very nice. Breakfast was fresh and offered everything to get the day started right. Highly recommend

Didn't realize when booking that all rooms were suites, but was pleasantly surprised upon entering. Nice sitting area with sofa bed and television linked with a kitchenette. The bedroom was a separate room with 2nd t.v. and ensuite bathroom. Lovely decor throughout and extremely clean. Unfortunately we were only there one night so didn't have the need to use the kitchen area. (Fridge, cooktop, microwave, coffee maker with cutlery and dishes in cupboard). Breakfast included offered a good selection, only wish it was larger sitting area for the size of hotel. Staff were very friendly and would definitely stay again.

Rooms clean & comfortable .Staff friendly. When we go to Welland we stay here ,and have gone 2X per year for the last 30 plus years. It's being totally renovated . Would recommend it as a place to stay if your visiting any place on the Niagara Peninsula

Have stayed many times. The hotel has had a facelift and is even better now. Great breakfast, clean and comfortable efficiency suites, and great value for the money. Easy access to Niagara Falls and better rates.

This hotel was booked by my mother and myself to visit family in the area, little did we know the hotel would be so nice we wouldn't want to leave. Well appointed rooms with a separate kitchen, living dining room and bedroom behind French doors! Clean very comfortable even the pull out couch I slept on. Not much to eat close by but bring in the groceries you have everything you would ever need in the kitchen including dish soap and tea towels! Bigger then some apartments this is a very nice hotel in a quiet area of town. Will definitely stay here again for such a reasonable price!

Stayed two nights - hotel was really nice - very very nice suites was a crowded weekend but still very quiet and excellant service by all. Location was excellant central in Welland and easy to drive to. Parking was great. Rooms are like small apartment.

I've stayed here three times and we've figure out that it's the best option in Welland. Hotel staff are friendly, easy to work with, and the rooms are spacious and clean. I definitely recommend getting a room on the top floor if you can, as the sound does travel a bit through the floors. This is a good solid choice if you're staying in Welland.

The Best Western is in Welland at the edge of town. It is a quiet, well kept and extremely clean hotel. The view of the canal is very beautiful. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The ammenites at the hotel are such that you can stay for a week and feel totally at home.

We usually stay at this hotel when visiting family members in this area. Nice and clean hotel with a good selection of food for breakfast. Staff is very polite and helpful. Rooms are clean, spacious and well kept. Our room had a well equipped kitchenette. The kitchenette is useful because you need a vehicle to eat in a restaurant (only a Subway located from walking distance).

This hotel has paper thin floors and you can hear every noise day and night. We could hear someone peeing at 2:00am, and walking around all night. Avoid this hotel. Really nothing staff could do to correct the issue.

This hotel provides plenty of space for relaxing and is close to everything we need. We particularly enjoyed having a fridge in the room to keep our purchases from nearby vendors cold. We stay here every time we're in Welland.

We had a great stay from start to finish. The rooms were great with a kitchenette. The bed was comfortable, pull out not so much. The staff were all fantastic & breakfast was good. A little different each day.

It was a good hotel if you were avoiding the Niagara Falls hotel pricing. Our room came with a full but compact kitchen that allowed us to cook meals. Nearby mall,Zehrs grocery , Niagara on the lake (40 mins away)and Welland Canal (10 mins away)

We chose this hotel because it had breakfast. We wanted something close to Niagara Falls. We had 5 rooms booked and the hotel staff were accommodating enough to have all 5 close to each other. Check in was easy and so was check out. The staff was easy to work with. It is 20 min from the falls and Clift on hill.

This hotel is perfect for me as I am primarily visiting family in the area. Two issues with the hotel. The first is availability. It is often booked, good for them I guess. The second is the same for all hotels in the area and that is gouging rates on the weekend. I paid 130 for a Thursday night, but that could easily double on the weekend. The Niagara hotels often demand a two night stay on weekends as well, which is another gouge. Other than that, great hotel, I highly recommend it.

Hotel is comfortable in general terms. Breakfast is very much standard for this type of hotels. The smell from the sofa in my room was not very pleasant (like dirty..). I prefered to watch TV from my bed. Room (suite) very well equipped to prepare your own meals, although I did not need to. Hotel staff very helpful.

Price was a little high compared to what we are used to paying but, hey, you get what you pay for. This is not our first time staying here and from the services we got the first time, it was a no brainer to pick this one again. And yes we would recommend this place. Very clean, no messing around with the shower, lots of hot water etc..., full hot breakfast plus other things that we didn't use such as gym. I don't think there's a pool. Enjoy. Roger

Roomy comfortable suite. Pleasant 1/2 hr commute through farmlands and nature to the Falls. Also close to quaint Port Colborne for another off the beaten track experience. Great breakfast, quiet, convenient to expressways to explore the area.

Some friends and I traveled to Welland for some Miniwargaming goodness, and for the price this hotel was amazing! We had no idea until we walked into our room that we had ordered a suite, and I was surprised for how cheap it was. Great room, very clean, good breakfast, and 24 hour coffee and tea = happy customer.

We only stayed one night but service and facility was top notch. The check in was flawless and quick after a long day on the road. The room was spotless and the bed comfy and provided us with a great nights sleep. A complimentary breakfast was tasty and plentiful while the staff kept surroundings tidy. The staff showed total professionalism at all times making for a pleasant stay. We will be returning in the fall during our travels.

We love this hotel and stay here whenever we are in the area. Staff are very friendly, rooms are nice, and they offer a great breakfast too! They even serve Gluten Free options. The suites are a great option - save money and eat-in, plus your night owls in your party can watch TV in the living space and you can sleep in the attached bedroom. We would highly suggest this place for families who need a convenient place to stay.

Had confirmed reservations for 3 nights. I guess they were oversold, they told me, I would have to check out and if something came available they would let me know. I switched Hotels, Sheraton 4 points is better and only 10 mins away.

We had a suite with a great kitchenette, which allowed us to have a couple meals in our room. Breakfast service was great! Cleaning service keep the room well stocked/ clean! There was a Tim Horton's/ great restaurants within walking distance and most other things within 5 minutes drive.

We used the hotel and conference rooms for a weekend family reunion and the support and helplessness of the staff was superb. We had over 40 people staying there. They were very accommodating in our requests and timing for using the conference room. They set it up with everything to support our catered food. We would recommend this hotel and conference rooms anytime.

Staff is extreemy helpful and pleasant particularly Sandy is the best; Claudia (spelling may be wrong) and Sharon are also very nice. They all go out of their way to help. Ann (general manager) also very great, she tried her best to accommodate my request which I greatly appreciate. Some stuff is beyond their control; such as sofa and couches replacement which is owner's responsibility.

This hotel is currently being renovated, however besides the obvious signs of work being done - we were never inconvenienced nor disturbed. All the work was done after 9 am and stopped by dinner time. The rooms were clean and spacious, great kitchen area. Beds very comfortable, wifi worked pretty well. Furniture is a bit dated and could use some upgrades there - couch was definitely well used. Bathrooms also clean and housekeeping staff were very friendly. Nice area not too far from shopping, restaurants, and still only half hour to the falls and tourist areas. Service was great, would stay again.

I would recommend the BW to anyone staying in the Welland area for work or pleasure. The location was not the best for walking from, you would need to drive to any sites in the area. The only missing element was the hotel was not pet friendly. My complements to the staff. Great job. Bob

My husband and I came to visit Nigara Falls , we stay in this hotel is top of the line! Friendly staff, very cheerful and give us very good suggestion on where to eat. Definitely worth the recommended to everyone

We stayed here while visiting Niagara Falls and the Niagara area. The hotel is really quite nice, breakfast was great, our room had a full kitchen and separate bedroom. We enjoyed our stay.... with one big exception. We chose this hotel mainly because it had an "accessible" room with a roll-in-shower, a necessity for one that uses a wheelchair because of MS with limited use of legs. But, the bathroom certainly did not meet our needs for accessibility. There was no seat in the shower, so hubby sat in his wheelchair to shower (plastic bags kept some of it dry). Transfer to the toilet from his chair was difficult - there is not enough space on either side of the toilet to transfer laterally - the sink/vanity is on one side and a partial wall on the other. Also, the grab bar is on the wall behind the toilet, not very helpful in his situation. Assuming the hotel planned this room for people with mobility issues, it was very disappointing to see how poorly it was designed.

We have stayed in quite a few Best Western hotels, and this one takes the prize for best overall. It's very clean, quiet (something we need), has a good location beside the Welland Canal, and has a very good hot breakfast - all the usuals, but easy to self-serve. The suite had lots of room and looks like the management tried to add things that they would want in a hotel stay.

We stayed in this hotel while visiting relatives living in the area. We found the location very good, right on a main road with easy access into the town. Our suite was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was good, the WiFi worked and was free. The staff were very helpful and always pleasant. They assisted us in some small matters and were always obliging. The hotel caters for large events and there was a wedding party staying in the hotel, but this did not affect us in any way. We would happily stay here on our next trip to Welland.

We had a great experience when we stayed the staff was helpful.. and we asked for a later check out witch they gave us ..breakfast was great .. the room was comfortable.. location was perfect for us ...over all it was a good experience..

This is where we always try to stay when we are in the area. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It's always clean. Sometimes the beds are a bit too comfortable and you hste getting out in the morning.

Very nice place, quiet and central for all our visits. It is 30 minutes from the falls, 45 minutes Niagara on the Lake and 15 minutes to Erié Lake. The have ony suites and they are just perfect. We paid lest for our suites compare for a simple room the night before in a best western on the road..

I stayed 1 night on April 27. The hotel is nice and clean. Bed is comfortable. They serve full breakfast. The only complaint I have is the hotel doesn't a swimming pool and hot tub. I highly recommend this hotel.

A lovely hotel in Welland in a quiet area right beside the Welland Cana. Was nice to go for a walk first thing in the morning. Breakfast was great with quite a selection. Nice to have a suite to make something because we were too tired to leave.

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is in a great location, rooms are nice, spotlessly clean, all suites, great free breakfast and wonderful staff. My wife and I have travelled for pleasure and business for over 30 years and have never heard this much noise In a hotel. You hear every step of the people in the room above you and the floors creak with every step. You hear the bed creaking, the water running, even talking from the room above. So if staying here, take your ear plugs or get a room on the top floor. If the hotel can fix the noise problems through renovations, it would get 5 stars. Sorry but have to drop the rating to 3* as it was impossible to get a good sleep.

Rooms were a good size, beds are really comfortable. Staff are great and the hotel is clean. The breakfast was delicious. However if I was to stay again I would make sure the room is on the top floor. I could here every step the guest room in the room above.

Was very happy with the suite, having a separate bedroom with a door is very convenient. The small kitchenette was an added bonus. Staff were very helpful, breakfast was good, and location was very handy, in terms of getting to stores, hospital and major highways. This hotel represents very good value for seniors travel dollar. The rooms being suites is wonderful! Beds are nice and comfortable and the breakfast is amazing! One word, PANCAKES. The staff was friendly and welcoming. My only recommendation would be to request a room on the top floor as the floors are very creaky. We could hear people running around at 10pm when we were trying to sleep before catching a flight out. Other than that, great hotel!

Our grand-daughter plays basketball and her team were playing in a tournament in the Niagara Region. This hotel was reasonably close to the schools where the games were being played. The ladies on the reception desk were extremely helpful. Hotel undergoing some minor renovations which were not a problem in our stay. Breakfast included offered both hot and cold and was very substantial.

This is the place to stay when you're visiting the friendly community of Welland. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The hotel staff is very friendly. There is free parking and free breakfast. My only complaint is the Wi-fi isn't the best, and that can be a problem when you're visiting from the US without a cell phone international plan. But overall, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This property was recommended by a family member, and my wife and I are so glad we listened. Like other readers have said, the location is handy to all that the Niagara area has to offer, but it's just far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. The only noise we experienced was footsteps from the suite above us, which, as it turned out, was a gathering wedding party getting ready to go to the ceremony. However, other than footsteps, this was one of the quietest rooms we've experienced, with virtually no noise from hallways or outside. While not brand new, the suites are very clean and well-kept, and the layout and huge size really made our stay enjoyable. This would be a great choice for a long-stay as well, again because of the extra space. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely recommend, and will repeat anytime we visit the area.

Stayed here with a large group for nearby hockey tournament. While the building and rooms are in no way new and could use a little updating, the entire facility is kept very clean and in tip top shape. The staff were very accommodating, friendly, and attentive to our group, 1st class all the way! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and would definitely staff here again. Continental breakfast was great, with good selection, and staff kept continually topping up the hot and cold selections.

Location of BW Rose City Suites is an excellent choice if you are visiting Niagara Falls and want to get away from the noise and the crowds. Hotel is quite modern and extremely clean. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Bathrooms are spacious with lots of towels. No noise between rooms. Spacious enough to have several people in for a drink.

This is my third stay at this hotel in 2 years. Welland is my home town, and now that my parents are gone, hotel accommodations are what I must do when visiting. This is a great, clean, comfortable property, and ALL the staff are friendly, remember you each time you return. While it's pretty pricey for Welland, it's worth it in the end - there is not another nice hotel in the city limits.

Clean room. Nice to have the kichenette. Only I chair in the room and a pull out sofa. Breakfast was descent. We stayed 2 nights and they never came in after the first night to tidy up and refresh the towels. Not many choices in welland.

Used this as a stopover outside of Niagara Falls. Our GPS took us the long way to the hotel. We were relatively late checking in, but Tiffany was very friendly and welcoming. Our suite was very comfortable, albeit our son, who's taller than us, slept on the bed sofa. He wasn't excited about it, but the price was certainly right. Curtains made the room nice and dark, and the AC worked great. The hot and cold buffet breakfast was pretty good. Freshly made pancakes in their pancake-making machine! Nice and varied. It only would have been better with bacon. Thank you Tiffany in the evening and Sandy the morning after.

Very nice place to stay, The staff are very courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. You are close to all the attractions and points of interest in the Niagara area, without having to pay the exorbitant prices. I would highly recommend this to couples and families alike.

My niece arranged to have a block of room saved for her wedding. Price was right, great friendly service. Easy to reserve. All staff made sure we had anything we needed. A extra meeting room was made available at breakfast for the larger group.

The rooms is one of the best we've had -- actually it was a suite, with kitchenette (well equipped) bedroom (terrific mattress, pillows, and bed linens), living room (comfortable and spacious furniture), and bath (just fine!). Everything was comfortable, well laid out,and looked very high quality. We were quite impressed. But the breakfast -- kind of your average hotel breakfast: eggs (probably), sausage and bacon (greasy), small yogurt cups, standard apples and oranges, etc. Hotel is on a bike/walk path canal side, and the restaurant Taris (see review) is easily reached on foot.

We used Best Western Plus Rose City Suites, Welland ONTARIO as our starting point for our bicycle tour on the Niagara Circle Route. It was a great place to stay right on the trail. I wish that we could have left our car in the parking lot for a week, but there is only enough spots for the current guests. Not much the hotel can do to change that. The staff did recommend a spot about a block away where we could leave our car.

First impression was very basic, no pool, no gym, no nothing really. When I got to the room it was clean and well equipped with a fridge freezer, microwave and stove. Free internet and a separate bedroom with walk in closet! Lacking some items in the room but when I asked at reception they had it. Stopped here during the week and it's quiet. Liked it compared to the price that I booked in another night. Shockingly it's fully booked a lot so I strongly advise you book in advance. Theres no bar but there are some good places near by in Welland. Don't know if all the rooms are the same but mine was 208, very clean and under $150 a night at my time

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel and we were very surprised with how much we enjoyed our stay. Right from our first experience with the reservation staff who helped us change our booking at the last minute as we had accidentally booked the wrong night to the rest of the staff we were treated so kindly and accommodating. We had a suite which was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom has been refurbished and the bed was comfy.

Stuck in middle of nowhere. Not many shops or restaurants in area. Must drive about 20 mins to eat or shop. The rooms are large large and comfortable. Breakfast offered is good. Internet service a bit slow, maybe because it's in the boondocks.

We were happy to be serve in french. They have the reservation in hands. They gave us all the information that we needed. They were very friendly. The room was big, kind of suite, the bedroom separate from the enter, the living room and the kitchen with a coffee maker, a microwave, a stove and the possibility to cook. The bathroom was very clean as all the room. the parking spot was not too far from the room. We like to be on the first floor. It was very quiet, the mattress very comfortable. the breakfast, hot: sausages, scramble eggs very good, the coffee too. We really like the hotel and we will return there, you can be sure of that.

People here were SO helpful. Called for hotel rooms in all neighbouring cities to no avail. It was late and we were a large group with a few small ones. They opened up their door and hearts. Although they had no availability they opened up a conference room and found a few rollaway beds,towels and amenities and welcomed us with open arms. Although we had a couple of little problems, the management and staff effectively remedied the minor issues. Property is clean and in a decent state of repair, breakfast items were minimal but fine. The most important things to me are clean beds and clean bathrooms this property was excellent so I rate it as such despite the minor glitches.

Super clean, kitchen was excellent and in great working order. I recommend the suite for the little extra cost, a lot of extra luxury. The remotes were sanitized. The soaps, etc. were clearly labelled. There wasn't a pool available, but the bath was quite nice.

A clean & spacious suite at a remarkably good price. We are in the midst of a 6 week, 20 motel, North American excursion and this was the best of 8 motels already behind us. My wife pleaded for me to continue spoiling her with more lodgings like this one. I can and wii, but it will require digging into the wallet twice as deeply as I have been. Rose City is a value to price gem.

Good for family with kids, big rooms with little kitchens are supper handy, clean rooms, good breakfast, and friendly staff. Will stay there again, Good price too. Parking is free, and internet was good. Staff are very friendly and will help a lot.

We have stayed in this Best Western 5 or 6 times over the last 9 years. Our son married a Welland native. Their wedding was hosted from here. We return to visit family The staff have always been courteous and attentive. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only thing they lask is a Lazy Boy !! The breakfasts are well done....buffet style, lots of choice and well presented.

The room was excellent, as well as everyone employed there. They went out of their way to accommodate every request. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms spotless. The breakfast was very good and had a nice variety that was well prepared.

This hotel was great. All of the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was a suite so it had a lot of space. From little things to having plenty of outlets for electronics to a kettle, and a thermostat that was easy to use and worked well. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I can think of that was a bummer was not having a lot of food options around and without a vehicle it made it tricky but that is no fault of the hotel.

Best value for the dollar that I have come across to date. Will return again for sure! Only issue was the bed, I prefer a very firm mattress, but if you happen to prefer soft, you will love these beds. Breakfast was good bonus!

My family and I have been going to the Best Western Rose City Suites for years, staying for at least 10 days at a time. We have two small children and have always found the service and amenities to be fantastic. Lots of choice in the included breakfast buffet, reasonable prices and clean and large, well-kept rooms. The one thing I would change? It would be very useful (and appreciated) to have a safe in the room. We travel with passports, Ipads, etc, and would rather not have to carry them around with us all day. Otherwise, keep up the great work!

Had a great stay, breakfast was very good, new items added daily. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean and presented nicely. Room was also big with a sitting area, full kitchenette and bedroom. Lots of closet space. Staff were very friendly

At this motel, Best Western Plus Rose City Suites,the breakfast was very good and there was a lot of choice on both occasions of my stay. The friendly and knowledgeable staff made our stay there, at a most difficult time, very comfortable. The motel itself was very easy to find and the rooms were clean, comfor5table and spacious. The amenities such as the coffee bar were greatly appreciated in our time of sorrow, and beverages were available at all hours of the night when sleep would not come easily. The parking spaces were plenty and the grounds well kept. This motel has a walking trail running along beside it and was well used when I was a guest. This trail gave a good reprieve at the end of the day and helped to clear the head and exercise the body after a long, hard emotional few days. Near the motel there are a few restaurants and lunch places for pizza, subs and so on making it very convenient for a fast meal. I would like too visit again under better circumstances.

This hotel would get a much higher rating except for one major problem - the lack of soundproofing. The suite was clean, well-equipped and nicely furnished. The staff were courteous. The breakfast was fine. The location is convenient. I was awakened by the person walking normally in the room above - I thought someone was in my room!

Very nice suites, if you aren't on the top floor then expect to hear footsteps above you. Standard am breakfast and fair prices. Rooms are setup with a bedroom and a living area with fold out couch/bed and kitchenette.

Great price, great spacious rooms, clean and very friendly staff. I always forget that they are full suites with cooking surface, microwave and small fridge. We had two queen beds with separate living room, two TV's as well as pull out couch. This is a nice home base when visiting family in the area.

I've stayed in the Welland area three times this year and used the Best Western the last 2x. I first looked in the Niagara Falls area and I was not impressed. They to the very budget oriented and did not appeal to me. The Rose City Best Western is in a nice area- backs on to the canal and is easy to get in and out of. The staff is very nice and breakfast is reasonable- coffee is good. The rooms all contain nice, well appointed kitchens and have a full bedroom and living room/kitchen area. All in all a very good value. The could have firmer beds, but I am pretty sensitive to soft mattresses and can't really fault them for that. I'll stay again.

Let me start off by saying that I don't take giving hotels a one star rating lightly. This one star rating applies to anyone looking for a decent nights sleep, which is non existent in this hotel. From a glance, everything looks new and wonderful. However, once you get to your large, new, wonderful suite, it didn't take but two minutes to realize just how noisy this building is. The construction of this building is absolutely terrible. The walls and the floors are paper thin. I mean "paper thin." Asked for a new room within minutes of arrival, and the afternoon desk staff needs retraining in their customer service efforts. Very Poor! and i've worked in the hospitality industry. Some retraining of the afternoon staff is in order. The night staff was much better, but the rooms were not. I tried a total of four different rooms during my one night stay, all of which were LOUD and NOISY! You could hear every movement and motion of the people next to you and especially above you. Breakfast was good, but after a long drive I was looking to sleep in, no such luck with the person above me awaking at 6:30 am. In all honesty, staying right behind Niagara Falls would have been a lot quieter. Please look elsewhere.

Recently updated. Every room is a suite and the bedroom/bathroom are shut off from the living room and kitchen making it very quiet. Check out the water feature behind the building. It would be really fun in the warmer weather. Not much to do there (except for the exercise room) but I managed to go for a nice walk along the river while my husband had a nap before supper. All the staff (including housekeeping) are very accommodating.

Here for an industry meeting arranged by group host. Comfortable rooms, good services, well managed meeting rooms, nice food catering. Only downside, watch the room door pass keys, when you are in a hurry to get into room you might be disappointed.

We stayed for two nights for a hockey tournament. Staff were rude with our team, our room was dirty, bedding was itchy, no hot water and the sound was awful. We could hear people walking in their room above us. Just their foot steps!!! Crazy. No plans to ever return.

Clean Rooms with good amenities. Good WIFI and room is well equipped and spacious and is a small divided suite with a large queen bed and a comfortable pull out sofa in the sitting room. Well equipped kitchenette and a decent buffet breakfast included.

Stayed one night for as we were in the area for a volleyball tournament. Overall a very good hotel. Staff very friendly, great breakfast. Beds were comfy but the pillows like sleeping on bricks. Rooms were clean with the exception of the very large black spider Ii found in the morning, going to find that anywhere though!

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting family. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and had a good size shower. Very good free continental breakfast included. Would have rated a 5 but the noise transfer from the unit above was quite disappointing. If we stay here again we'll be sure to request a 3rd floor room.

A wonderful 2 nights at this hotel. Clean everywhere. Quite and a little off the beaten path. Service at the desk was professional helpful and friendly. Pricing is av enrage but we used air miles so didn't mind at all. Great suites and consistent wifi access! We'll be back??

I recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning to visit the Niagara Region especially with family more than 3 members. 20 to 30 minutes away from Niagara falls and Niagara on the lake wineries and outlets.

Each time we are in this area we stay at this hotel. The service is always helpful and friendly. We love the breakfast in the morning and they are always willing to make our stay fulfill our needs. The suites are a perfect size for our family of 4 giving us the space we need.

I was very satisfied with my stay at the Best Western. I had a little kitchenette which included a stove top, sink, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. I was staying over for 2 nights on my own, so it was nice to have the option to bring all my own food and cook for myself. It helped save money and not have to go out for dinner or use room service. The room was very clean and spacious enough for me to enjoy my time there comfortably. I had a living room area next to the kitchenette with a tv, pull out couch, chair and working desk. The bedroom had an additional tv which I thought was a nice bonus for watching while in bed. The bathroom was updated and very clean. The only issue I came upon was at about 4am, I was woken up from the sound of footsteps...from the people staying in the room directly above me. Upon the rest of my stay, I came to realize how paper thin the floors are, and not only could I hear every step the people above me were taking, it was also like that in the hallways. It was as if I was in an old rickety house. I would strongly suggest soundproofing! Knowing just how noise sensitive the floors were, it made me feel guilty about walking around in my own room and deterred me from doing my morning exercise routine, knowing that the people below me would be disturbed. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay, the complimentary breakfast was delicious and I was happy with the large selection of choices. The front staff were extremely friendly and approachable! I would visit again, with the knowledge that there have been renovations on the floors. With the high cost of the rooms, I would hope that some soundproofing would be installed to better accommodate people where noise is concerned.

Everything about this hotel was good except that there was only one slow elevator. The TV guide process like in most hotels is really bad, slow and inflexible. The industry should figure out a new and better way to make the finding channels easier and better.

We were here for a family funeral. Very pleased with the accommodations. We only stayed one night but I was wishing we had been able to stay longer . The room was very nice. I liked having a kitchenette suite even though we really did not use those facilities it is nice to know that it is available for future.

My partner and I stayed a night in Best Western in Welland, he has to work and I just went along to have a break. The place was very comfortable, clean and quiet. I used gym facility twice and really enjoyed my run. I am very concern about the sheets and towels and all were quite clean and nice. Wish they had a better bed and mattress, but I usually have problem with hotels tall bed and mattresses! Kitchenette was very handy. The place was calm and quite, so I could study. I surely recommend the place!

Best value we have seen in Niagara area, all rooms are suites, so you can make your own meals if you choose. About 15 minutes from Niagar Falls, but worth the drive, rooms are spacious, well kept, staff is very helpful, running out of good things to say.

My husband's family gathered in Welland over the weekend, some came from the west (Alberta and British Colombia); others from the greater Montreal area and east of Ontario. They all stayed at your hotel. Saturday night after all day activities; some family members asked if the meeting room could be rented. The manger on site graciously gave them access with no fee ... HOW absolutely GENEROUS! All were extremely thankful, even had a couple cousins from immediate area stay overnight ... so they could visit too. ALL said they were to stay again when back in the area.

the check in service was very quick, friendly. breakfast was amazing as per my teenage son, lots of variety food was fresh and lots of choices. hotel was full as there was a hockey tournament in the area with midget aged players and was very impressed that the food was available was fresh and plenty of it

What a wonderful hotel! The rooms are large and always exceptionally clean. Staff are extremely attentive and friendly. We were greeted and spoken to by every staff we saw. The breakfast is also very good with lots of choices. Price and convenience can't be beat. You simply cannot go wrong staying here. The hotel is located on the Welland Canal Trail which is great for walking and cycling. Bicycles stow away nicely in the extra large closets in the rooms. Can't say enough about the people and the rooms here. This is our go to place!

I did not expect such a big room for such a cheap price. It was a big room with an unexpected kitchen. Everything was clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. I slept like a baby. I wish i had a bed like that. Complimentary breakfast was hot and fresh with excellent options. Wireless internet was fast. There were big televisions; one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Excellent stay overall!

Was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and the full kitchenette. It was certainly convenient since we were there for three nights with the whole family for a hockey tournament. Hotel was clean, staff were great and the provided breakfast was good.

We stayed here for two nights over New Years. The first room they wanted to give us was right across from the ice machine and because we would be there for New Years Eve didn't think that was a good idea. They changed our room to top floor right between two storage rooms so it was perfect. Very quiet and I never heard anything either night. The only thing they could improve on is the pillows they are very small and square, the beds are very comfortable and the rooms were spacious and clean. We will certainly stay again when visiting Welland providing we get a good rate. The breakfast is also more than ample and they opened another room for New Years morning so there was lots of seating available.

My son and I stayed over Christmas after finding our regular place, the comfort inn on Niagara was charging 250 per night during Christmas. Of course I didn't want to pay that so I called the best western. I thought they were going to be expensive as well but I was pleasantly surprised by the rates. I was even more surprised to find out we got a suite with a fridge, a stove with four burners, a microwave and even dishes. We had a wonderful visit with friendly and helpful staff and a fabulous breakfast each day. I forgot to mention there was also a tv in both bedroom and living room and I got to shut the door and sleep while my son stayed up later. Needless to say we now have a new place to stay while he is in Welland. Wonderful and helpful staff and wonderful place to stay overall. We'll be back.Often. Don't forget to leave a tip for the housekeeping staff. At these rates one can afford to be generous.

We spent 4 days this visit. We have stayed here a number of times over the past 6 years. We go back for a reason ! Great,attentive service...also very near family. The hotel is well located in the Niagara Peninsula...it is central to all of the attractions that the area has to share

Spacious suites with all needed kitchen items. Breakfast room on site. Close to all amenities in Welland and a short drive to Port Colborne. Suggest choosing a room away from elevators. Comfortable beds and rooms are quiet except when there are travel teams on site. Close to the Welland Canal.

We booked our room for December 12, 2015 and our hotel stay was wonderful. The guest rooms were clean and comfortable. We appreciated the well balanced breakfast. There are quite a few good restaurant near by.

Staff are friendly, room is large and clean. Nice to have a kitchen! Rates are excellent. Free breakfast is, well, free. But there are tons of Tim Hortons in the area! Pretty quiet on the third floor. King sized bed was appreciated, as was the free wifi.

A great and friendly place to stay. Large rooms and very comfy. All staff are very friendly and helpful also management team very helpful. I would highly recommend staying here. The hotel is close to lots of good eating places and a close drive to Niagra Falls.

We have stayed at this hotel approx. 8 nights per year for the past 15 years. Overall we feel it is great value for Welland. It is always clean, bedding is always like new. We also appreciate the kitchenette. Staff is very courteous.

An excellent hotel that is very clean, well appointed, comfortable and a superb value. The staff are amazing! They treat the property and its guests as if it is their own Bed & Breakfast. Great place to stay at the end of a long day. The suites are quite large and very comfortable! Despite facing the roadway, I was very pleasantly surprised at how quiet the suite was. Next door to me were a few people having a good time watching the hockey game. Never heard them at al! I will stay here again, and will recommend friends and family to do the same. Stay here!!

It was very nice to have a suite to stay in. Access to a kitchen within the room was great, even though we mostly ate out as we were in the area for a family celebration. Wished we had more time to spend at the hotel itself. There was an interesting event happening at the hotel to attend plus I would have sought out the pool if I had more time. I only rated "good" for the service because the staff was efficient and we had very little contact with them. We were able to use our earned Best Western points to cover one of the nights. Bonus!

...or else STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP from the floor above. This has to be one of the worst constructed hotels i've ever stayed at in my life. There is clearly no cement separating the floors. And so all you hear is stomp stomp stomp from the people above. I had the misfortune of having a couple above me who stayed up watching TV and stomping around their room past 2 am. I simply could not fall asleep with all that noise. It would never happen in a normal hotel with standard construction. Aside from that, this hotel is excellent. But you could not pay me to spend another night in this creaky place.

I would stay at this hotel over and over since it is very clean and great value. the rooms are large and bed very comfortable. I did have a problem with a strong perfume smell though took care of it myself by airing out the room.

The one and only place to stay in Welland. You always know what you are getting. Has been very consistent over the years. Get room with no one above to avoid creaking floors. Someone needs to check coffee pots in lobby rather than customers telling desk. Rooms exceptionally clean. Bath soap too small.

booked for two nights and wish we could have stayed for a month. No complaints or negative comments we enjoyed the suite and explored the local area. If in this area we recommend Evelyn's Sandwich Bar. Close by and the staff ...know where it is

Needed a room for the night. Everyone I asked suggested the Best Western Rose City Suites. All room are suites. Price is incredibly inexpensive especially with breakfast included. I stay in a lot of hotels and this was certainly a great hotel at a real bargain price.

Very comfortable bed. Great to have a suite. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Breakfast was basic but complete. Expanded hours for breakfast. Gluten free bread available. About 25 minutes from Niagara Falls and about 55 minutes from Hamilton

Stay with friends at this hotel. It is very nicely laid out with all Suites. Breakfast was great. There could be a few more amenities in the kitchenette - ie: glass water glasses or wine glasses. Will definitely stay again.

Checked in on Friday for 2 nights while attending a family wedding. Check-in was smooth very friendly staff at front desk. Checked into our room which was more like a one bedroom apartment! My Husband and I were impressed with the layout of the room which had a separate bedroom and living space and a small kitchen area. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was also stocked well and kept very clean. Hot and cold Breakfast was also available each morning which offered a variety of food that you were in the mood for. If were ever in the Niagara or Welland area again I would definitely book my stay at this Hotel.

We were on our way to Niagara Falls and spent a night at The BW Plus -- once again were greeted by an efficient, helpful staff. The bed, bedding, towels were very nice and very clean. Something Best Western seems to make a priority in all their hotels. This particular hotel had a very small area for the tub/shower and toilet. The subdued lighting made it seem even smaller. The whole suite should have brighter lighting. But all in all very comfortable. There is no pool -kind of a downer -- would of felt good after travelling all day. Brunch was delicious, which we enjoyed.

There was no swimming pool which was a disappointment for our son.However the generally peaceful surroundings , tastefully decorated interiors of the roomsand very friendly staff, made our stay very pleasant.

we were in town for a Funeral, just found the hotel, loved it. So clean and friendly staff. You really need more parking though. We were surprised it was a suite, I wasn't expecting it. It was quiet and so clean.

This hotel was really nice. The suite was clean, comfortable and spacious. 2 flat screen TV's, bathroom and shower clean and worked well. The breakfast is nice. We will stay here again if going back to that area. Only 15 minutes from Niagara Falls The path behind the hotel along the canal is a nice walk.

This hotel provides everything you need for a good travel experience. Although located on a busy street once in the hotel it is quiet and serene. Pleasant lobby and room. Double occupancy provided a suite with kitchenette even including dish soap and pull out couch with 2 TVs total. The hot breakfast wasn't fancy and you had to make a lot of the hot things yourselves but everything you could want was there if you were willing to take the time to do it yourself. The hallways and rooms were very clean and well kept. For someone with mobility issues it was easy to navigate.

Myself and a work colleague stayed at this hotel. One night I left my car lights on and the evening clerk called my room to let me know! She said she does a sweep of the parking lot every night when it gets dark just to check for forgotten car lights...that is great service.
