« Relaxing stay with family »

We spent 4 nights in this peaceful and relaxing hotel. A beautiful view and amazing pool set up, an infinity pool at the top, cascading down into a waist height pool along with a shallow area for the kids to play. Lots of lounges to relax on. Food is great and we'll priced. I could stay here for ever!

« home away from home »

Our choice of stay at this hotel was right; - Huge room with comfortable bed - Bath room interior is perfect, good quality for equipment & supplies. - Nice Pool - All staff very helpfull & full Smile - Thank you for taking us to Tjampuhan hill to see the sunrise for free - Highly recommend this hotel

    « Amazing »

Great bed, perfect shower and balcony! Amazing buffet breakfast with so much variety. Pool is relaxing, love how there were two levels one for adults and kids. Staff are so accommodating, would definitely stay again next time!

« Many better options in Ubud »

We considered the hotel average. We were really disappointed not getting the room with pool view we paid for. We got a room on the ground floor and couldn't sleep properly because we could hear loudly the showers and toilet flushes from the upper floor so we changed room (still didn't get the room booked though). Plus, they accommodate groups which can be really noisy especially if your room like ours faces the restaurant. They also privatised the restaurant for them so we had to have dinner next to the lobby, with view on the street. These are details compared to the reason why we were really unhappy about this hotel: the day before check out we asked for a taxi to go to our next hotel and the lady at the reception announced 250k which we agreed on and suddenly on the next day, the driver told us 350k as apparently said by the receptionist and if we aren't happy, we can go argue with her. We didn't and just wanted to leave. The amount isn't much but it's the fact that we thought we could trust our hotel not to try and rip us off. Of course the driver drove as slowly as possible to justify the additional amount.

    « great little hotel »

we stayed at this hotel from 5th-8th May. The service was wonderful, they couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the two pools. Breakfast was great, had everything you needed. Location was about a 10 min walk to the main bit of Ubud. Slightly up hill on the way back. But the hotel has a free shuttle which was great. Would stay again. perfect for what we needed.

« Great and comfortable stay »

While in ubud we were booked to stay at the best western premier and I must say it was the best . The staff especially the reception are very courteous and always ready to help . The rooms are comfortable and very clean , even the swimming pool is clean. They have a free shuttle service for drop and pick ups to ubud city center though one can easily walk it down too . The breakfast is great ?? Keep it up ..

    « Very good hotel »

The rooms and hotel are very good. The pool is very clean and the food is okay. The service is very nice.Though it is far from city centre the shuttle service was very good.overall a very good experience and we enjoyed it very much

    « Fantastic!! »

We were meant to stay that Max One Hotel in Ubud with 14 women but we checked in there and were bitterly disappointed. We desperately tried to find a hotel that could accommodate all of us and luckily the Best Western had rooms. They were so incredibly fabulous with looking after us. We had a lot of needs given we were an organised group booking but nothing was ever to much for them. Every time I went to the front desk they accommodated our needs quickly and with a smile. It was a little out of Ubud Centre but they helped out with providing the hotel transfer van. The service and hotel staff outweighed being out of the centre though. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

« Very convenient to Main Street Ubud »

We were very grateful to be able to experience this new resort. I received this package as birthday gift from my daughter. It was a Scoopon package for 5 days beginning from 4 th May. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We love our room with a balcony opposite the pool. We bought a 2 day deal from booking.com from the 2nd May to the 3rd May which include a new experience for us, a herbal bath. Too our delight we. We're looking forward to the bath after walking around Ubud. The spa staff gave us very strange outfits to wear into the bath, so I queried why we had to wear them. He then showed us the bath, we were buried in a dirt pit filled with herbs and buried firmly for 30 minutes at around 70 degrees. It actually was a wonderful experience, it is a Japanese treatment and we would do it again. This resort is a hidden gem

« An absolute beautiful place and stay »

We planned a family trip to Bali and wanted to stay in Ubud for 3 days just to see what it was like before heading to the coast for the majority of our stay. I saw a deal on scooping for $300 Australian dollars and thought it was cheap and only for 3 nights if it was a disaster no big deal. How wrong were we. It was the bargain of our holiday. The resort is small and beautiful. Pools are imaculate in amazing grounds. The staff were a delight and just beautiful with our 2 year old, especially Dea the front office manager. The deal included breakfast which was fine and a lunch or dinner daily. Yes the menu was the same for the three days but plenty to choose from. There is not a thing we could complain about and we would definitely stay again. We couldn't recommend this place more highly and again an extra special thanks to Dea.

    « Value for money »

Everything feels right when you get to the hotel. Good ambience, good service, good food. Location is not exactly advantageous but if you are used to walking, it might suit you. If you plan to go out at night, bring along a flashlight as it could be very dark when you go back to the hotel. And if you are from the airport, hiring a taxi could take up 500k Rupiah per ride.

    5
« Charming place to stay »

The place is very nice and clean, the staff is very friendly . You can enjoy the amazing view of the forest feom the pool . The breakfast is diversified and full of fresh fruits . Overall I advise you to came and see for yourself :)

    « Great room + ambience! »

The room that we stayed in had a really nice interior and the scent of the essential oil (I think?) was very good, I wish we asked the hotel staff what it was before we checked out! The room is cleaned pretty early in the day (we return to the hotel around 3/4PM Everyday to rest before dinner) and they always place really cute folded towels on the bed, we got rabbits and elephants and it's always nice to come back to those :) our package came with a herb bath from the spa which was good, but we wanted to redeem the bath on the day we checked in after 8pm but when we went there the staff told us that the spa was already closed although according to the book in the room the spa was open until 11pm? So we were kind of confused and mildly disappointed at that as it would have been nice to do that after swimming in the pool (which was great!). We went the next day and forgot to ask the staff to clarify, but according to a different review after 6pm the spa is only open if you have made an appointment, so it would be nice if that was stated clearly in the information book. Overall it was a really great stay and we wouldn't mind staying again if we were to visit the area again.

    « lovely hotel »

I travelled on a scoopon deal for 3 nights to the Best Western. Lovely room overlooking the pool amazing staff and food. Free shuttle to ubud central every hour. The 2 pools are fabulous and overlook the beautiful greenery. I would definitely come back to this one

Very good hotel and peace of mind in stay. Very quite and systemised place. The hotel I visited, I never see that such sweet people I met with. In my visits to hotel, including New York, I never see such comfortable place.

« Best interior room and view (no elevators) »

Best interior room and bed are comfortable. Best view for garden and pool so large. Good staff. But no elevators so make sure to take a big luggage. Overall i like this hotel and i will stay for next time.

    « Fantastic »

Just loved this hotel. The staff were amazing and so friendly. The kids were kept entertained and happy with the selection of food. A short walk into town centre (10 minutes) but far enough away to be peaceful and relaxing

    « Fabulous hotel »

We loved our stay at Best Western. It was fantastic. Breakfast was lovely and the rooms were gorgeous. Loved that our family of six were all in rooms next to each other. The rooms were huge with beautiful bathrooms. We will definitely be back.

Great hospitality and very peaceful. Good room service around the clock. Very cheerful staff at the front desk which helped us all the way to the smallest thing. Peaceful environment all round with lush green fields. Can also have a nice walk. They also provide free bike service.

« Nice Weekend Gate Away »

Best Western Premier Ubud is a hotel with a very beatiful view, very helpful and nice staff. But for 4 hotels standard, the breakfast menu is less varied, they should add more variation. Keep the good work.

    « Simply Amazing »

it was a short 3d2n stay for myself in Ubud. Staffs were amazing, friendly and helpful! Room was clean and spacious. not alot of options but provides quality breakfast. Will definitely be back again for a longer stay with BWPA.

    « Amazing »

This resort is immaculately clean and in a super quiet area of ubud. You can easily walk down to the main street in less than 10 minutes or get the regular shuttle from the resort. All the staff are really friendly and speak good English. The spa is excellent, providing high quality massages. We stayed here on a scoopon deal and it was beyond value for money. Thank you for an amazing last few days in Bali!

« Good hotel, somewhat secluded »

Nice hotel with all the amenities one expects. But it's located a fair distance away from ubud market, it is a long walk. Hotel provides a shuttle, but the timings may not suit your schedule Breakfast spread is decent, nothing fancy. Dishes get over and are replenished slowly. The hotel has a spa and provides complimentary herbal bath for guests. But the spa timings are 10am - 6pm. That's the time guests like to go out for sightseeing. So it isn't really possible to use the spa. Noise from the corridor is audible inside the room and feels like a nuisance if there are guests coming in at late hours. Very regular place, better to be near the main Ubud market and enjoy other attractions at a walking distance.

    5
    « Fantastic value »

We had the scoopon deal. Very happy with the offer. Great view from our pool view room. Good location, new property, great value and very friendly staff. The pool area is beatiful. Also there is a great spa across the road.

    5
    « Friendly plce »

We stayed in BW Agung with our family. The hotel is located just 15 minutes walking distance from ubud central and even offers a free shuttle service there. The hotel facilities (rooms, gym, pool) are very new and clean. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest.

    5
« Friendly and relaxed Hotel »

We stayed in Best Western Premier Agung Resort 9 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The check in was really smooth even though we asked for an third bed in one of the rooms and we were automatically upgraded into the highest rooms option. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and tried to make our stay as enjoyable as possible (e.g. they made us special vegan pancakes for breakfast, organized soy milk and gave tips for activities and restaurants) Big recommendation!

« Midweek escape with my daughter »

I stayed at this hotel to visit our family and escape a bit from our routine in the city. . I have a very good and smooth check-in, the introduction of the room and a very memorable welcoming greeting card from the former DOSM of BWPUbud, Mr. Bayu ( Thank you very much, sir :) ) . Pros : comfort bed, spacious room, water replenishment, suitable for family and group, i like the sweet-sour fish for the breakfast and pastries, and very big swimming pools. The staffs are warm, smiling and working happily. . Minus : HARD PILLOWS, the noise of the fridge at night, cooling system noise at night, except the sweet-sour fish at breakfast, the rest just so-so. I was ordered GADO GADO for our dinner, and the peanut sauce was too thick, so asked them to pour more water and lime. NO FISH on the fish pond and NO FLOWER makes the room ambience not alive. . This hotel is very suitable for family with children and group. They have different daily activities for the guests and shuttle service from/to Ubud city. . Very suitable for relaxing and stay along the day at the hotel, but please ask them to change your pillows in case you got the hard ones. . Thank you and Keep your Good works :)

    « True Compassion »

It was a beautiful night to stay here. they have complete facilities and great design. I believe people who's trying to find quietness would fit here. the service were really warm, they show genuine kindness (unending complimentary) to my mom who's now suffering certain sickness. especially to "Dwi", thanks for enlightened up our day.

    « Perfect Hotel »

Visited here with my girlfriend in March ?18, the hotel is lovely. The staff can't do enough for you, the facilities are great and the rooms are superb. They offer a free shuttle into Ubud Centre 5/6 times a day (with pick up if required) which is great as Taxis do ?chance their arm' on price and Uber is ?banned? (it's not). The rooms are cleaned daily and the products replenished. It was a pleasure to stay here and we would definitely visit again!

    « Tranquility »

Stayed 3 nights, located near downtown, complimnenatry shuttle bus was provided, however only approx. 15 min walk into town. Beautiful pool and had a pool view room and the surrounding Ubud forest just gorgeous. Your staff were lovely. Only thing I can fault is at breakfast for the coffee lovers your coffee was very ordinary, so I purchase a cafe latte, this should be complimentary with breakfast. Will visit Ubud again will stay 5 nights next time. Highly recommend your hotel and really loved my stay in Ubud.

« Ubud country side nice new resort »

I was very pleased by this new resort from the check in to departure. I was received at arrival by Sri Utari at the reception who offered an exceptional service during my entire stay. The resort is small enough to have personalized service and big enough to have all services, Gym, great pool and spa. I took a room with ?garden view? which gives an amazing view to the rain forest. The room on pool side looks very good as well. The room is modern and neatly decorated in Bali style, very comfortable. It is less than 10 min by car or motorcycle from Ubud main areas, so location is great to be outside the busy tourist area but easily accessible when needed. I found the best way to travel to Ubud and the region was with motorcycle taxi or to rent a motorcycle. This is a great value hotel, service and quality is above expectation for this price.

    5
    « Home Sweet Home »

The room is clean and spacious, the area is green and walking distance to Ubud central market. The best place to get away from hectic downtown. I love the spa, you should try the "Kozoburo" bath with enzym and the real traditional Balinese spa. I am really recommended.

    « Amazing »

Thank you for your kindness throughout our 5 night stay, such a peaceful stay yet close to town, great shuttle service, beautiful food, beautiful surroundings, clean rooms, great pool, all staff are wonderful and very caring, unfortunately I became ill through no fault of best western, staff were quick to arrange a visiting DR , and continued to look after me proving ginger tea and porridge, very much appreciated thank you , unfortunately I didn't get to use the spa service that I was looking forward to but believe it is amazing as stated by other quest, We hope to return one day bringing our family , we can not recommend this property highly enough thank you, Sue & Robert

« Peaceful, beautiful and extremely enjoyable! »

A fantastic hotel run by very welcoming and warm staff. Very new and luxurious just about 15 minute walk from UBUD town centre. Great pool and amazing views of the jungle backdrop. Extremely recommended :)

« Beautiful, relaxing hotel in the middle of Ubud »

I'm staying here for 5 nights with my partner and so far it has been amazing. The view of the jungle out the back is stunning, the pool is beautiful and the rooms are very clean and beautifully presented. Free shuttles into the town centre, but its also only a 10 minute walk down to the main shops and 20 to the ubud palace (generally agreee upon centre of ubud). The staff are amazing, so friendly and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Best Western for your stay in Ubud :)

    « Beautiful »

Stayed here with friends and we loved it, great value for money the rooms are beautiful and the pool is so nice, beautiful location short walk to town or use the hotels free shuttle. The herb bath is a must try experience in the hotels spa.

    « Peaceful hotel »

We stayed 2 nights here and really love it. The hotel is located near downtown but you should not walk since it is the forrest along the way. They do provide free shuttle bus wbich you can book the time. The hotel give free herbal bath which is very nice; lay down in the hot herbal sand. Breakfast is not delicious but thats not the big deals. The facility is new and very clean

« Most friendly and helpfull staff »

This time was four times we visit this resort. From time to time as long as our stay there, was excellent. The room cleanest was good, the staff was friendly and helpful. The last time we stay there, one of my family had allergic and need Doctor immediately. The staff directly seeking Doctor and not to long, the Doctor had arrived. It was very excellent service for me, thank you for all staff and hotel manager to accommodated our need and make excellent experience during our stay there.

    « Great stay »

We recently stayed for 5 nights. Was quiet during our stay not many people at all. The pools although not big were very refreshing. Always able to get a pool lounge. The rooms were very clean and a reasonable size. Good to get 2 large bottles of water a day. Mattress was a little hard for our liking but still ok. The balcony overlooking the pools and greenery was very nice. Aircon worked a treat. Breakfast was very nice with a constant flow of fresh food to replace any empty Bain Marie. A large selection of western and Asian food available. Beef bacon though. We used the spa a beautiful massage but ridiculously expensive. The spa across the road was cheaper and most probably nicer. Even though it was still expensive for Bali. There is a free shuttle into town but only about a 10 minute walk. We really enjoyed our stay and if we stay again in Ubud we would stay here.

    « A hidden gem »

My wife and I had not had a pleasant start as our plane got delayed more than 12 hours from Melbourne, and therefore arrived 12hours later than the plan. We were bit worried as the pick up was meant to be at 12:30pm and it became 1:00am. Honestly, I thought we should find our way to Ubud from the airport as many hotels are not offering pick up after 10pm, but kindly enough, management has arranged a driver for thar time of the day. Even though we had list a day in Ubud, we were welcomed with big smile at 2:40am in the morning and it was off to a good start. Following day, we finally had a chance to look at the resort with a sunlight and it was even better than we had expected. It is in the secluded area surrounded by tropical plants and it sure has an exotic atmosphere. Buffet breakfast menus are changing every day and you can enjoy as much as you want with a warm welcome from the staff members. They were constantly checking tables for the customer's need and always came up with a professional attitude. We have used a Scoopon deal and this was definitely by far the most wise spent we have ever made on selecting an accomodation. This place has many features include clean and decent sized communal pool, gym and restaurant you can enjoy. Everything was exceptionally clean as I assume it is because still a very new accomodation and because of that, furnitures, beddings, bathroom and many more were all in a wonderful condition. Location wise, it is only a 13-15minutes walking distance away from the main street of Ubud. Shuttle is also provided under pre-order but not so necessary if you want to enjoy your trip with a flexibility. Surprisingly, we were worried about mosquitoes as we had very bad experience with it in Seminyak area on our last visit to Bali, but this place is clear from bugs. I saw a staff who were constantly working on spraying an anti-epidemic liquids around the ways with in the resort. Scoopon deal had daily Lunch or Dinner and daily drinks included and the food was also nice. They serve 3course meal and it was pleasant every time we walked in the restaurant. Also we had 60minutes Balinese full body massage and especially my wife loved their professional service. She said it was much better than the one we had in the Main street. I cannot stress more to recommend this place and enjoy the most value for money experience. We would definitely want to come back on our next visit to Ubud.

« Sick but not forgotten! »

This is my third day here on a seven day stay. My wife and I have been coming to Ubud for 25 year, 1st time at the Best Western. We arrived mid February Hotel wasn't full so was upgraded from superior to deluxe room. Unfortunately I got a debilitating chest cold my second day, waitress doctored me with local natural remedy and the second day came to my room with her manager which was proper to give me sweet porridge as was given to family members that are sick. What can I say, the facility is as good as I have seen, the price is an excellent value but most of all a caring staff that goes way above and beyond the norm.

    « Beautiful »

Stayed at this hotel late Feb '18. The hotel wasn't full so we were upgraded to a 'garden' (forest ) view room (inc balcony ), which was great. The room was quiet, spacious and very comfortable. Received a welcome drink upon arrival and fresh fruit in our room. The hotel feels like it had been built in the middle of the forest, so it is very tranquil - palm trees everywhere, birds singing. The staff all lovely, as was all the food. ...the restaurant is open all day from breakfast to late evening, which i particularly liked as want restricted to set meal times. Breakfast was different every day (we stayed for 3 nights) and catered for all tastes. The swimming pool (infinity) was lovely, no problem getting a sunbed any time of day during our stay. The hotel is a good walk into town, however a free shuttle bus is provided at various times throughout the day. Had an excellent stay here and would not hesitate staying again

« Almost Perfect Tropical Location »

When reading this review please bare in mind that the occupancy rate during our stay was very low. My Scoopon deal represented exceptional value in my opinion. COMMUNICATION - The Reservation Staff answered my emails promptly and fully answered all of my pre- arrival questions. CHECKIN - Very efficient with everything explained and the Scoopon voucher system fully explained along with some guidelines and what could and could not be provided via a voucher. ACCOMODATION - Deluxe Pool View Room 1119... very clean, great linen, good size fridge, excellent aircon and everything seemed fresh and ?up market old Bali style? with all of the supplementary bathroom items renewed everyday and absolutely everything worked the way it should. Great Rain Head shower and the hot water never ran out. HOUSEKEEPING - Exceptional...we requested that every day the room was cleaned etc before 11:00 so we had confidence that when we got back to the room each day our room was clean and everything had been replenished... well done ?housekeeping? MEALS - whilst we could have easily walked (about 15minutes) to Central Ubud to eat we chose to eat 95% of all of our meals at the Lotus restaurant within the resort...The restricted Scoopon menu was sufficient in portion but limited in choice the main menu provided good choice and meal portion size was more than adequate plus the environment was extremely clean LOCATION - We have been visiting Bali on and off for the last 30 years and most years we come at least twice . The location of this resort is almost perfect just 15 minutes walk from Central Ubud but you could be a world away as this place is so serene ...it's quiet, it's clean and is surrounded by dense tropical jungle and rice paddies... The one thing that we were initially concerned about was the impact of mosquitoes with the resort so close to the jungle and the rice paddies...we were pleasantly surprised with absolutely no contact mozzies or other bugs. There are several laundries within walking distance with the average cost per Kg @ Rp.15000. Directly in front of the resort is a small store that sells ice cold Bintang large 660ml Rp.33000 Small 330ml Rp.22000 the Resort also had a promotion on whilst we were there ...buy 2 small Bintang and get a free Bintang Raddler ... Rp.36000 for a 330ml ++ which works out to about A$4 ... just be aware that all prices advertised in the resort do NOT include the the Service and Govt tax ++ (21% needs to be added to all purchases) WiFi - Exceptional with 4 bars showing in all areas of the resort - we were even able to stream Netflix with no buffering...but occupancy was low so there was plenty of bandwidth available...plus Unlike some other places we have stayed in Bali recently there was not even 1 staff member using their smart phone whilst on the job...very professional Best Western.! SUMMARY - The Best Western Ubud is a relatively newly refurbished complex, it's clean and friendly set in a very serene location with both rice paddies and dense tropical jungle on your doorstep. Would I stay here again...ABSOLUTELY!

« Hotel with commendable staff. »

Hotel is 7 months old as at Feb 2018. Hotel is serene and quiet and lovely at a first sight. I have booked a room with balcony and pool view. Room is spacious and clean. Complimentary of two bottles of 1 litre water and coffee/tea. Bathroom is clean, has a rainforest shower, bath tub, full set of toiletries, towels and hair dryer. Balcony does has mosquitoes but not a problem to us as we spent times by the pool mostly especially during 4 to 6pm with the hotel's free tea set that comes with my booking. Breakfast is simple but not very vegetarian though with East and West choices and on the spot eggs cooking station. The services starting from front desk to driver to bell boy to waiter to technician to cleaning staff to room service to spa to higher management are all highly professionally, welcoming, smiling, greeting every time we see one of them. This is the only hotel that makes us stayed in most of times and ordered room service and ate at the open air restaurant. Menu is limited but foods are delicious and cheap (50% for Best Western reward membership). Shuttle service provided free of charge every 1 to 1 1/2 hours to Ubud Centre about 8 minutes away which is not advisable to walk. Really appreciate the services provided and thank you.

    « Nice Room »

Good property especially as it is under a year old, room and bathroom had some nice touches,I would have liked a larger pool but that's because I like to swim.On the whole staff and hotel were good and had no problems.

    « Great value for money ! »

Nice place, very close to the center of Ubud. Nice staff, welcoming you with the famous Balinese warmth. Well equipped rooms, spacious and comfy bed too. Nice pool with large terrace, so easy to sunbath or just hang around the pool. Great place to stay in Ubud.

« Fantastic Location Ubud Hotel »

We stayed seven days and it was a great hotel. Fantastic location, walking distance down to the main street in ubud with lots of cafes, shops, restaurants and markets. The hotel has a free shuttle bus that runs several times a day if you don't want to walk. We often walked down to dinner and caught the bus back afterwards. Room was good, very clean, the bathroom lovely and very clean. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Food was great. Breakfast had plenty of choices and lots of it. Free afternoon tea between 4 and 5pm. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant a couple of times and the food was delicious. We had lots of great walks around the hotel, saw rice paddies and village life. Friday they offered a free guided walking tour which we took, thank you to the wonderful guide! Overall a great hotel, lovely location and I would stay again.

    « Scoopon excellent deal »

We bought the 5 night scoopon deal which was fantastic value! The inclusions in the deal you just couldn't look past and made the stay worth it. However, we had 2 young children with us and when buying the scoopon and reading the T&Cs it did say children were included which we assumed meals as well. I questioned this which management agreed and our kids had a few meals. The next day management showed me further T&Cs on the scoopon website (not on our voucher) saying meals were excluded for kids (however the meals they already had were then complimentary because of the misunderstanding) so we were thankful for that. Our initial request when booking the resort 6 months beforehand stated if we could have our room set up for our 10yr wedding anniversary with petals. This was overlooked, however 2 days late lovely Dea found out this hadn't happened and spoke to me about it then arranged it for the next day. She also included a beautiful heartwarming letter with photos for us that was beautiful! Dea is a lovely person and this resort is lucky to have her! The pools are amazing & the resort has a beautiful view. It's such a tranquil setting! The food was ok for lunch/dinner but breakfast was gross. We didn't eat much at breakfast as getting between 8.30-9 seemed to have nothing much left. The actual food could improve. The complimentary massage was amazing as well as the room & view with it. The shuttle bus was excellent apart from one time it didn't pick us up when it was raining hard. We ended up walking back as we had an activity organized shortly after. I LOVED how the resort was away from the hustle and bustle and secluded from people! Overall, was great value for money on scoopon with few improvements needed. I'm glad we stayed there.

Best western was an excellent place to stay in Ubud. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The food is excellent and the staff were amazing. It is in a great spot easy 15 min walk down to centre of town if want to walk off your buffet breakfast or they have a regular free shuttle each way. Great pool and Spa is also very good. Would certainly recommend

« Great value on outskirts of ubud »

This is an excellent hotel, with a great location just outside the busy streets of ubud centre but still within a short walk. The hotel is very tranquil with amazing tropical riverine forest views at the back of the hotel and rice paddies to the side. The buffet breakfast is particularly good as are the 2 pools and there are also free (new) bikes you can use which is great for seeing the local area.

The staff was very professional and helpful, room is comfortable and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The shuttle service was good and in house activities such as herbal bath and craft was very enjoyable.

    « Fabulous stay !!! »

Fantastic from start to finish. We stayed here on a scoopon offer and will stay again. Beautiful well appointed rooms over looking the pools and jungle. Lovely and quiet, fantastic staff , great food at the restaurant and we were very spoilt on our Anniversary. Room made up with swan towels, rose petals on the bed. Bath tub full of roses in the shape of a love heart. We were serenaded by the staff at brecki and presented with a traditional Balinese wedding cake - just beautiful

« Nice & quiet resort with friendly staff »

Stayed there for 3 nights as part of Scoopon deal. Overall the resort is fairly new and very quiet. The staff are always friendly. The pools are great, with varying depth levels which my kids loved. The main down side is the setup for the massage room seems a bit basic - not even air conditioned... Also there is only one open air restaurant in the resort - it would be great to have more food choices.

My family and I stayed here in Jan 2018. Positives: The room was a good size and had a view of the pool. The scenery around the hotel is stunning and the atmosphere was tranquil and relaxed. The staff were amazing and nothing was ever to much. The quality of the food was also good. Negative: the selection of food was not great. The same menu for lunch and dinner. There was not much selection for vegetarians although the staff did accommodate by altering dishes that contained meat to make them vegetarian.

Located walking distance to ubud main street the best western is a tranquil little hide out from the hustle bustle of ubud central. Very friendly service, clean new rooms and boasts a gym and a pool. We had a very good stay here.

« Absolutely Amazing Resort in Ubud »

Wow what a hidden gem ithis amazing resort is.?????? I purchased a scoopon 5 day holiday at this great resort. Such great service with by hourly shuttle bus, drop off and pick up outside Ubud palace. The drivers are all very pleasant and going out of there way for u. « Incredible Value Resort With A Gym »

This hotel looked like an incredible bargain on Agoda and I was not dissapointed. I paid between 630,000 IDR and 740,000 IDR per night (before taxes and service charge) using the Agoda app - which was more than 30% off the best price direct from Best Western. For this price the hotel far exceeded my expectations. So much so that I extended twice and ended up using the hotel as my base for 10 days. Room: My room looked brand new, just as pictured, with a dark hardwood floor and traditional balinese wooden furniture. The room was clean and I didn't see a single bug or mosquito in my room my entire stay. The bed was very comfortable, and comparable to the quality of bed you would find in a Marriott hotel. The rainfall shower in the bathroom was perfect with excellent water pressure and easily adjustable to get the right temperature. Every day, they'd give me two complimentary 1.5 liter bottles of water, so I never had to buy any water, and there was a fridge in the room to keep it cool. The air conditioning worked well and had a remote control. The only thing about the room I would improve is the television which was a cheaper brand and didn't have great sound. I was, however, able to hook my laptop to it with an HDMI cable to watch movies. Staff: The biggest asset for the hotel was the staff who went out of the way to make my stay enjoyable. The front office manager, Dea, in particular, went beyond the call of duty, even coming to pick me up from Starbucks when there had been a mix up with the shuttle. Every morning she'd come to breakfast and spend time with each guest to make sure they had everything they needed for the perfect stay. She was very attentive, and passionate about her job, and I wouldn't be surprised if Best Western promote her to manage one of their flagship properties one day. Location: The resort is within walking distance of Ubud town centre, but far enough out that it's very peaceful. There is a complimentary shuttle which is very convenient for getting into town and will save you some money on taxis. They also have bikes available to rent at reception and umbrellas you can borrow if it's raining. Restaurant: This is probably the biggest thing the hotel could improve on. The free breakfast buffet was adequate. It doesn't compare to some of the other breakfast buffets I've had in Bali, but those were at more expensive hotels. They make eggs and pancakes to order and there is a decent selection of hot and cold items. The "fresh milk" didn't seem very fresh though and there wasn't an option for skimmed (0%) or semi skimmed (2%) milk. Maybe a mini fridge with the milk straight from the original carton would be a better solution. You'd waste less milk and customers could see that it was fresh (this is how the Courtyard Marriott in Seminyak does it). For other meals, as a Best Western Rewards member I received 50% off food from the restaurant. I would have liked to have taken more advantage of the discount but I found the menu to be limited, and didn't think the quality of the food was that great. I tried the nasi goreng, the chicken club sandwich, and the Ubud burger (which someone on Trip Advisor had rated highly). Of those three, the only item I would order again is the nasa goreng, and it wasn't the best I'd had. The french fries that accompanied the sandwiches were very average. Spa: I didn't use the spa during my stay partly because it closed quite early (I think the last massage was at 5:00pm), but the prices for massages looked reasonable for a resort, and I received some coupons for a free herbal bath when I checked in. Pool: I didn't use the pool, only because it wasn't very sunny during the time I visited, however it did look very clean and other people seemed to enjoy it. Gym: This is a big thing for me and I didn't see much information when I booked, so for everyone who likes to work out when they are traveling, I've detailed the fitness facilities. I only saw pictures of CV equipment on the website, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a free weight area. They could really improve the gym by buying a bench for the free weights, however. CV equipment: 2x Life Fitness treadmills, 2x Life Fitness recumbent bikes, 1x Life Fitness elliptical machine. The only thing it's missing in regards to CV equipment is a Concept 2 rowing machine. Resistance Machines: Older Precor multi gym machine with incline / decline / flat chest press, shoulder press, lat pulldown & low pulley row (high & low pulleys), and leg curl / leg extension. Machine was probably bought secondhand as it looks a lot older than the rest of the equipment but it gets the job done. Free Weights: Pairs of dumbbells from 5lbs to 50lbs, however no bench. I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western and would recommend it to everyone coming to Ubud who wants a great value for money full service resort rather than a homestay or a villa. I will definitely be back again next year and would be really happy if when I come back some improvements have been made on the things I've suggested.

    « Great Value! »

I love the place. Its clean, new, rooms are big and comes with free breakfast, afternoon tea, use of the pool and gym. Breakfast wise, they have several stations. Not overflowing with food but enough. The usual sausage, bacon, etc. They also have an egg and pancake station, soup and congee, noodle soup, fruits, bread, cereal, etc. Again, not the best out there but you get more than what you paid for. Staff is very courteous and attentive. Thwy also have a free shuttle to-and-from the city. This is very convenient since ita about a 45 min walk if you decide to trek it. Will definitely come back.

    « Perfect get away »

Was a near perfect getaway. Some minor things with hotel were bar service by pool a bit patchy and you had to seek someone at times and hunt for beach towels, but that can be expected as it's a small resort and they can't just sit around waiting. Would be ideal to have a bell near bar to press when you want service. Otherwise gorgeous rooms, lovely location and would recommend

    « Beautiful experience »

The staff were outstanding, from the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and they engaged with our kids throughout our stay. The location is great, we could have walked into town but didn't need to because the complimentary shuttle service (to and from) was available and was an easier option with 2 young kids. The pool is central to the hotel - and its such a peaceful and tranquil setting so you really can do nothing but relax! The breakfast buffet was good, and complimentary afternoon tea was a nice touch too! We had a wonderful time here and would definitely stay here again.

« Hotel with Quite Location but Near Ubud Center »

The hotel is new and located in a tenag location, but not too far from the center of ubud, only about 900m or about 15 minutes walk. If you do not want to walk, the hotel provides a shuttle bus to take and pick up from / to the hotel and central ubud, you can ask the receptionist about the schedule. The location of the hotel is very quiet, so we can rest comfortably. The pool is not too big but is nice and there is a children-only pool. We chose the premier deluxe rooms which are quite large and equipped with beautiful bathrooms, but unfortunately the scenery is normal because it is blocked by weeds. The mattress and the ambiance of the rooms are quite comfortable with a large led tv. The food at breakfast is quite tasty but the variations are just as standard as a 4 star hotel. The service from the hotel staff is very friendly and very helpful. Only this hotel may not be suitable for families who bring parents or family members with a wheelchair. Because I saw no elevator facilities to go up or down to our room and no steps to go to our room terrace, maybe this could be an input for hotel management. Other than that, this hotel is too quiet on the front and somewhat open, I just see there is potential for outsiders to get into the hotel environment without being notified by the hotel front desk.

    « Short Stay Ubud »

We checked in for a 3 day stay and have had a fantastic time as we haven't been to Ubud in years. The resort is less than a year old and have some great deals available. The staff are friendly and very attentive, facilities are great including a restaurant, bar by the lower pool, spa (massage) and a reasonably roomy and equipped gym. Ubud central (art market) is around 1.4km walk or bike ride or 2.0km by car or scooter. The resort has 4 bicycles that are of good quality and worth while borrowing for 50,000/ day. The road to Ubud is a great ride (down hill), however 'what goes up must come down' works in reverse in this case!! If you're not quite up to the return hill climb there is a longer route back to the resort which is a lot less strenuous next to Ubud Palace (via Jl Suweta) The pools are on 2 levels and are refreshing after a day of exploring. Our ground floor room was spacious and clean with a full size bath, large bed and large flat screen TV. The resort also has a shuttle service which drops off at the Palace on a regular basis.

« Amazing, peaceful and tranquil. »

Omg, where to start? This hotel is amazing. I have only been here 1 night out of my 3 night stay and i am already planning my next visut. The hotel is set i the beautiful green ju gle, which is both peaceful and tranquil. This is amazing as maybe 5 minutes down the road in the daily free shuttles that are airco ditio ed cars supplied by the hotel are the busy bustling streets of Ubud. From the moment you heck in you feel very welcomed, cold dri ks,cold towels and a photo with a puppet so the staff can learn your name during your stay are just some of the personal tou hes this hotel has. Also it has an amazing gym, 2 pools, bikes for hire, free shuttles, free activities like the rice paddies walking tour that i cant wait to do in a few days and an amazing restaurant that looks gorgeous at night time. Also it has beautiful rooms with large free aqua bottles. I dont know what else to say to convince you to stay here but you must on your next trip to Ubud!!!!!

« Outstanding hotel; highly recommended »

We arrived after midnight, greeted by happy and smiling staff. Maha in particular, was bright and bubbly, given the unsociable hour! The check-in process was seamless and took just a few minutes. Everything was explained in great detail, about the hotel, amenities and the room - a very spacious deluxe executive suite. The room leads onto a big balcony with a table and chairs. It overlooks rice paddies and some exceptional views. If you're contemplating something special then you really can't go past this room type. It is worth the upgrade. It is very roomy, the bed was comfortable and the room provided every necessary amenity. We even received a fresh fruit basket on arrival. We particularly liked the 2 x 1500ml sized bottles of water in the room every day. Another nice touch. This saved us having to buy them and cart them back to the room. The restaurant is amazing. We loved the service by Yuni. She was constantly happy and very positive. She is truly a very focused and customer-oriented young lady who had no issue going the extra mile for us. The food choices are excellent. Because we were in an executive suite, we were given a complimentary espresso coffee at breakfast each morning. Perhaps not a great moment in the big scheme of things, but a nice touch. The front office manager - Dea - was simply outstanding. Absolutely nothing was a bother. She happily attended to everything we needed. That included arranging our massages, calling for taxis, finding great places to visit in downtown Ubud and whenever an issue arose, she was right onto it without a second thought. Dea is an amazing trouble-shooter. She is a very capable manager. I have no doubt the hotel is very proud of this young lady. They will surely miss her when she is promoted (that should not take long!!). We had the opportunity to have a massage each. I have to say there were some challenges as Dea was forced to find an alternate space as the massage room had a leak in the roof (it was torrential rain). It was done with a minimum of fuss and a warm smile. The massages were beyond incredible. The masseuses, a man and a woman, knew exactly what they were doing. It was an hour of pure pampering and relaxation. Selecting a man to massage a man and a woman for a woman was again, a very nice touch. The hotel pool is HUGE, as one level flows into another. It is clean and bright: It also has the proper fencing. Overall, we had such a great experience here, it was very sad to leave this hotel and the beautiful staff members, who were constantly smiling. We will definitely return. The hotel is far more spectacular in real life than in the photographs. We recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great Ubud experience (it is literally 5 minutes' drive from the bustling town centre). The hotel has a complimentary shuttle service.

« Three magical nights at Best Western »

We checked in on 23 December and checked out on 26 December. We booked the deluxe room with the rice field view. We came from Seminyak and were disappointed with our hotel there. Best Western hotel in Ubud staff have changed our experience in Bali to be a magical experience. The service, the room and the staff are amazing and very friendly. They make you wish to live here forever. We had a minor hiccup with our booking for the spa but the front office manager Dea gave us a herbal bath treatment as an apology which was an awesome experience. The breakfast here is just another wow experience. They change the items on the buffet daily. You don't get bored from the food. Savitri was our waitress at the restaurant. She could be easily a restaurant manager at any Four Seasons hotels. Her standards, service and attitude were spectacular. We highly recommend the Best Western Premier Agung at Ubud. We hope they improve their spa to be one of the best hotels in Bali.

    « Awesome Ubud Hotel »

This place is outstanding situated in nice bushy area 5 minutes from Ubud centre by free shuttle. On check-in we were given 3 free meal vouchers, free massage, free drink each day... WOW. The pool is gorgeous, the spa fantastic and service impeccable. Thanks Ari for dropping us wherever we wanted to go. Look no further, you have found the ideal Ubud stay ... and rooms were lovely.

    « Exceed expectation ! »

We were lucky enough to stay in this charming hotel and we wished that we had booked to stay longer! I have to recommend this hotel for their cleanliness and location. The breakfast was adequate. All the staff are so nice and friendly, however a special mention needs to go to Bu Dea (Front Office Manager) - she helps a lot during our stay and her hospitality are worth for a thumbs up. The front desk help was very polite and informative. Our room was clean and spacious and the location of this hotel is perfect. When we return to Bali (which we will because it was our favourite city), we will definately be staying here!

    « A fabulous Resort. Highly recommend! ???? »

We have spent 6 days at this fabulous resort. Our deluxe pool view room(1219) is situated perfectly within walking distance to both the pool and the restaurant. Our room although not huge, is lovely with a huge walk in shower and best rain shower ever. (Strong water pressure).Very clean with terrific aircon that works brilliantly. The food has been terrific but because the resort is very quiet due to the volcano, it's not worth setting up the buffet breakfast for so few customers but the a la carte menu is quite sufficient. The Staff are brilliant with most speaking very good english. They go out of their way to make sure we are looked after and everyone remembers our names so we always get a friendly greeting as we pass by. The hotel has a few organised activities that are free but we only did the 90 minute morning walk through the rice paddies with Dewi from reception. It was just beautiful. The hotel is a few km from Ubud village but there is a free shuttle running almost hourly. We have used this every day and if it didn't suit us for their specified pick up then it cost about $7 in taxi back to hotel. There are no restaurants, shops or massage close to the hotel so you need to go into the village for those. Overall this has been a magnificent stay. The lack of tourists at the moment means it is extremely quiet everywhere we go. Let's hope they return soon and help get the economy going again. Thanks Best Western staff for making our time with you so special, especially Dewi, Dea, Iri and our restaurant girls. We look forward to our next stay. Can't wait to come back and try the Balinese dance class! ??????

    « Best Western »

Short walk from Ubud. Tiles around resort are slippery when wet. Pool is a refreshing temperature, just nice. Restaurant is open air, so no air conditioning. Menu is OK for breakfast and lunch I think local restaurants are the place to go for dinner.

    « STOLEN RING »

Had a ring stolen from my toiletries bag in the bathroom. I know I had put it in there as I was very sick and took it off as I had to continually wash my hands. Advised management when I couldn't find it after leaving the hotel. Management were useless & suggested it had fallen down the drain, the ring is very large and fortunately not expensive. I will never stay at another Best Western hotel & after my experience would not advise anyone else to either. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Should of known better but the staff seemed very nice, how wrong can you be?

    « What a lovely hotel! »

Check-in process was quick and receptionist was friendly. Welcome drink was nice. The room was clean with large double bed. Free mini bar, complimentary fruit and 2 large bottles of mineral water. Free afternoon tea at restaurant. Bathtub, rain shower and complete amenities are provided in the bathroom. A green field and a small temple can be seen from the balcony. Many choices of breakfast with good taste. Had dinner at the restaurant and taste was good as well. City center is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel but scheduled shuttle is provided. You just need reserve it at the reception

Just wonderful amazing hotel. The receptionist were friendly, great rooms, clean, cool with lovely view of the fields from the balcony of my room and other have awesome pool view. Food are very delicious, Water and light snacks available at reception all day. « Relaxing Stay »

We stayed for 3 nights at this resort. The staff was very helpful. We were staying with two kids and they thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool. The rice paddy field tour was very informative. We ended up buying paintings from local shops. The resort was mostly empty because of the fear of Mount Augung eruption. The complimentary herbal bath was great experience. Overall a good quiet place to spend few days at Ubud.

« Excellent place to stay! Lots of extra touches. »

Wonderful hotel! We had a nightmare with a place we booked on Air BnB so we checked out the next day and came here! It was a God send. The receptionist were friendly, great rooms, clean, cool, spacious with 2 large bottles of water each day. Lovely view of the fields from the balcony of my room. Complementary fruit. Water and light snacks available at reception all day and tea/snack at 4pm. The breakfast was plentiful and set us up for the day. We could walk into town in 15 mins although a little iffy if walking in the dark - not for safety reasons but because there are mopeds and cars driving pretty fast around the corners and the pavements are incomplete. The hotel provided shuttles into town which was really useful at night time. I would come back here and stay again.

« Experiences Totally Thumbs Up! »

We came here on the weekend for 3D2N. Check-in smoothly, front office with warm personality, and helpful. Since we came on Friday, we have a chance to see Balinese dance performances during dinner. They performed 3 Balinese traditional dances. I remember it was Pendet and Baris Tunggal dance. Our dinner is excellent. It's a set menu. You might have to see my yummy photos here and on social media @wewentweshare. We stayed in Deluxe Double room with Pool View. In the morning, sunrise, more with the view. We can see Mount Agung from our balcony. Room; spacious, clean and neat. Bathroom with shower and bathtub. Best Western Premier Agung Resort have a beautiful garden and large pool. We enjoyed our cycling around the village and our Best Western Premier breakfast in the morning. We love Ubud, and we'll be back. Thank you Best Western Premier Agung Resort Ubud for your hospitality.

We came to Bali on our honeymoon and they had a wonderful set up in our room upon arrival on our bed & bath tub. The hotel was gorgeous! What a beautiful place, very clean & staff were wonderful! The pool views were gorgeous, food was good. They always had a large buffet in the morning for breakfast that was very tasty! Had a shuttle to the markets downtown every day as well as free bike rentals!

Our first stay at Best Western Ubud was very lovely. The place is very relaxing with a nice pool and beautiful surrounding. When we were staying there, my son had a cold, so we had lunch and dinner at the restaurant. The food was tasty and the staff was very nice and helpful. The location is quite far from Ubud Centre, but they had free shuttle services in almost every hour.

« Beautiful hotel and staff in Ubud »

Me and my three girlfriends stayed at this lovely hotel for three nights (30 Oct, 31st Oct, 1 Nov 2017) on a Scoopon Deal. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. Staff at the front desk were very welcoming and accommodating and check-in was a breeze. We were given our vouchers and everything was explained in great detail. Our rooms were absolutely lovely with beautiful views over the pool area. This beautiful balinese style hotel is amazing. Breakfast was lovely and staff could not do enough. We loved our stay here at the Best Western Premier Agung Resort Ubud and cannot wait to return. Terimah Kasih to all the staff - you were were amazing. Thank you for making our stay at your beautiful hotel a memorable one.

« 3 night stay in lovely Ubud »

Our first stay in Ubud at the Premier Best Western has been absolutely lovely. From the moment we arrived the welcome and service from the reception staff was exceptional. Nothing was too difficult for Sri to arrange for us and this flowed on throughout the resort. Our room overlooked the fabulous pool perched on the hillside of magnificent vegetation. We had a scoopon voucher and this gave us so many additional services we have not had at other hotels. From the relaxing massage by Antari in the spa overlooking the jungle, the free cocktails made by Putu and the well presented meals all day. The shuttle service was great for a night out for dinner as well but the walk to the Main Street was easy as well. Recommend you do the Campuhan ridge walk as early as 6.30 am. We walked to the start then ventured through the spectacular scenery ending with a great coffee at Karsa Cafe. Well worth the extra 500 metres walk. Back to our hotel for a swim and a breakfast feast I've not seen elsewhere. Well done , we hope to be back to stay longer next time. See you soon. Janet and Alan Morgan.

My partner and I spent 8 nights here, and had a fantastic time. The service was delightful from before we even checked in (by email organising transfers) all the way through. We had a great day trip out to the Campahan walk with Suamatir, Dea and the team at the front desk were always super helpful, and we even got an upgrade to one of their suites mid trip! We enjoyed the different festivities that were hosted for free during our stay (some local dancers and musicians performed), and as we were looking for a place to wind down being able to relax by the pool with loads of open green forest around us - away from the bustle of town - was great. It was only around a 10 minute walk into Ubud and we only used the free shuttle bus once or twice, but it was helpful when we did need it. The breakfast options were pretty good but it would be great to see more vegetarian options on the main menu (although they were accommodating where feasible when requesting changes!) - the pasta was particularly tasty. I'd definitely recommend this place for couples and people looking to get away from it all - we really switched off and had a really lovely time.

« Amazing place with great staff in Ubud »

Stayed in the hotel for 5 nights with my friend back in May and have to say it was amazing experience. Hotel is located in quiet area around 10 minutes walk from main road. When we arrived we received warm welcome as well as small refreshment which was nice after our long journey from Europe. Rooms have good size, really nice decor and most importantly comfortable beds. Breakfast had good choice and having restaurant with decent food on site is also very handy. What I really liked is the pool area. It's great place to chill after days out discovering Ubud area. However biggest asset of this hotel is its staff. Staff was very attentive to our needs, always smiling and were always willing to help in every possible way. Special thanks to Dewa. She was very very helpful and attentive to our needs from the time we checked in until we left. Her smile and positive energy made us feel welcome anytime we came with all sort of questions. Also special thanks to Ari who helped us getting some food late in the evening after jetlag got better of us when most of the restaurants were closed and also for arranging doctor to my room when bali belly striked. Definitely recommend this place and will stay there again when coming to Ubud.

« A very good experience thanks to the hotel staff....Congratulation to the management team! »

Very hospitality place... clean, professional staff, they were opened to negociate the better option for us for a fair price (I think.) Even they provide regular free shuttle to the center, we prefer a short walking to the town (20 min walk) every day...very easy! Hopefully, we will come again next year! A big thank you to all hotel team! Good thoughts from Romania!

« An amazing experience thanks to the hotel stuff. »

I could not wait to write a review, thus I am writing this while I am still in this area. Checked in here on the 20th of October and will be here till the 28th. We had this recommendation through a friend that is the most cost effective hotel. As a honeymoon couple, we already had covered many expenses for the wedding and were quite low on budget. BWPUbud had offered the best price for a high quality. Ever since we got here we had amazing support from the hotel stuff and got a free upgrade to Exclusive suite room with no reason. Apparently, the hotel stuff knew the room isn't booked till our check out date and wanted to make a gesture since we are just married. The hotel is taking you to center and back to the hotel with a scheduled program. Included breakfast menu was open buffet and quite variant. Staff is quite hardworking and they love what they do. My only disappointment was the free coffee served in the morning (which was a well known instant coffee brand). Beside that, everything was far better than we expected. Thanks for the hotel management and especially for the staff, for this outstanding experience, in advance.

« Very disappointed with the check in process »

We stayed in BWP ubud from Oct 7 - Oct 11 (booking under my name). We arrived in the hotel around 2:30PM and went straight to the receptionist for check in and got the first bad experience , she told us to wait in the restaurant area because the room is not ready yet . We waited in the restaurant for exactly 30 min and got no update and i decided to walk back to the front desk and ask her again about our room. She hastily offered us a room (room 1121) and i thought its all well and good now. but as soon as we entered the room , we noticed that the room doesnt have a bathtub (which obviously mentioned in agoda) . we called the front desk and she told us the room that we booked is not available so we are given the twin room (which is cheaper then what we already paid in full ) ! After traveling to alot of different countries (and hotel) , i never got a downgrade its either the exact room we booked or an upgrade I tried to asked her to connect me to a manager in charge , but she said the manager is already "off" and again, i asked her for the manager's phone number , none given . I keep on pushing and in the end she gave us different room (1221) but when i checked the manager's letter in the desk , the room is supposed to be for someone else. But the room does come with bathtub In the end we wasted around 2 hours just for check in !! but other than the massive "hiccup" we got at check in , everything else is perfect. The staff are nice , the breakfast is ok , The area is tranquil Contact me in private if you need more details

« Amazing resort style hotel at exceptional value »

We stayed here in September 6th - 11th and had the most amazing break. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and all of them were so friendly and helpful. Without asking we got upgraded to a deluxe executive room as we were staying there for our 8th wedding anniversary. The room was well appointed, very comfortable and had everything you needed to make it pleasant stay.Breakfast was very good and with plenty of choice. The pools and surrounding area were very clean and the pool side bar had a great atmosphere. The bar manager Putri was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him. The only down side was the lack of pool side beds but we were assured that more were being ordered. Overall a fantastic resort and we will be definitely returning. we have already recommended to our friends and two couples have booked to come here.

« Tranquil Retreat. Sensational Resort »

This place is a palace. So clean! The staff were happy, friendly and very helpful. The staff would laison with guests and interact with children, suggest different food to try. We stayed for 5 nights and just enjoyed it so much. The pool was so clean. The pool side bar had a great atmosphere in the afternoon. Breakfast was amazing! So much to choose from. The pancakes were my favourite with the freshest fruit, yoghurt and honey. The resort organised the most wonderful driver to take us to near by tourist spots. He was outstanding to say the least. We would use the daily shuttle to go into Ubud to shop and have lunch at Oops. Back to resort for a latte or cocktails (try the midori splice) and dinner. The tranquil sound of the water, lovely music in restaurant and ambiant setting was so relaxing. We had the best sleep ever away from home. Very impressed and im looking forward to returning in the near future. Its a real credit to the team at The Best Western Premier Agung Resort Ubud.

« Fantastic Hotel. High recommend! »

We have stayed in this hotel for our honeymoon and it was great. Everything was perfect. When we went upstairs in our room they left some rose petals in the bathtube and they made a towel heart. It was so romantic! There are two swiming pools, in my opinion the nicest one was located next to the restaurant. Breakfast was included and it was delicious, excellent to start the day. The hotel well located 15 minutes walking if you wanna go to the Monkey Forest that we recommend to visit too. The staff extremely kind and helpful, all of them. Thank you to all to make my honeymoon very special :)

« Nice quiet area away from the crowds »

Very nicely appointed rooms as would be expected from a Best Western Premier resort. Rooms had all the room needed including guest robes and sandals as well as complimentary toothbrushes, sewing kit, shaver and grooming kits.Large rainwater shower with bath as well. Large LCD TV with range of channels that had enough of a selection of English speaking options to keep entertained mainly Fox movies. Hotel restaurant breakfast buffet offered a wide and various selection with some things normally thought of as dinner options. One chef out front in the egg station made fresh mixed omeletes for you upon request. Dinner in the restaurant has a various range of options but were a bit on the slow side when it comes to service even when not very busy. Can be quite a bit dearer than in the township but depends on budget expectations and is to be expected being a resort. Average meal for 2 of 2 x Sirloins, 2 x desserts and 2 x cocktails will set you back around $500,000RP($50AUD) so still damn good value. Nice pool area and shuttle service to the heart of Ubud runs every hour so worked well, You just ask for the pickup time and they are there promptly.on time dependant on traffic. Walking distance to the Monkey Forest is approx 1.5klms so out 20-30 min, if you dont want to walk Taxi will cost about $50000RP($5AUD) The only let down was the free herbal bath offered as part of our package. Had no idea it involved getting into a full overall set up and being buried up to your neck in soil etc so we declined that. Took massage treatment in coupes room instead which was around $500,000RP($50AUD). The english is pretty weak with the front staff as well with some very good, but others give you the blank stare and can not understand you at all. All in all very nice place and would stay here again if we ever came back to Bali.

    « Great Retreat! »

THIS HOTEL is great services. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay relaxing. The staff provides on-site opportunities for activities, or will arrange reasonable prices. Great food, nice room, beautiful property... I want to go back! the staff in the front were polite and very helpful. We initially booked for two nights and added for two more nights on as our plans were flexible. I would definitely recommend this hotel.. I am very pleased and satisfied with overall experience i got from this hotel. Make you feels at home.

« New resort in Ubud »

Location ? the resort is about 20 mins walk from the main market. The resort provides a shuttle service to the main market for which you need to register in advance. The neighbourhood is quiet and there aren't any commercial establishments around. Rooms ? very large, spacious and comfortable rooms which includes a couch with side table and also some verandah seating (one above base category room). Food ? the buffet breakfast spread is good. However, the menu is otherwise limited. We preferred to dine at outside restaurants and there were many fantastic ones. Service ? decent. The reception sought a deposit when I checked-in but did not adjust the deposit made against other charges in the final invoice! They said the onus is on the guest to claim it which I thought was ridiculous. So you if you forget to claim it, which is very much possible since you're in a holiday mood, the hotel happily keeps it.

    « 5 night scoopon deal »

This is a lovely hotel with a beautiful pool but we did have a lot of issues. We had to wait at reception for a long time to check in as there is only one person checking people in and out. We had a room that looked directly at the pool area so asked to be moved as we had no privacy at all. This was done on the next day as they were too busy to move us straight away. We had problems with the air conditioner not working but this was fixed promptly. I think the main problem was the communication, many staff members had very poor English. We went to the massage area to book a massage at about 6pm one night (it was open until 11pm) the girl had no idea what we were saying and went to get someone else who also didn't understand us. We eventually had our massage but as my partner had a man massaging him and we were in the same room I felt a little uncomfortable. The massage was not good and I actually felt worse afterwards. Because we were on a scoopon deal we had to select from a limited set menu that was the same for lunch and dinner and never changed, we only ate there once and it took 45 mins for our meal to come to the table even though there was hardly anyone in the dining area. I found out on our last day that we could have chosen one thing from the pool menu instead.. bit late! I must say the breakfast was very nice with a lot of choice and 2 large bottles of water in our room every day was greatly appreciated. We found no problems with our shuttle to the airport late at night. Overall the stay was still enjoyable and the staff were friendly even if most had no idea what we were saying! I would just like to reply to a review saying the sheets were not changed, all you had to do was ask and this was happily done. I did like being a little away from busy Ubud and it was an easy walk into town if you didn't want to take the free shuttle. .

    « Relaxing stay »

We stayed here for 5 nights in September & wasn't disappointed. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of ubud in a peaceful setting. To access the centre the hotel provides a shuttle bus which runs frequently throughout the day. The hotel has recently been built & as been done so to a high standard. The rooms are spacious & clean. The staff at the hotel are very friendly & nothing seems too much trouble for them. Overall a relaxing stay & we definitely wouldn't hesitate in staying there again. Thank you Best Western.

« Tranquil resort with so much more »

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend. The resort is less than a kilometre from Ubud market area and shuttle bus is available.. Modern facilities you'd expect from a large hotel group while the design and layout offers the peaceful Bali experience. The rooms are spacious modern and who could resist a large fluffy white towel and plush bathroom with rain shower. Two large bottles of water in room daily not to mention complimentary afternoon tea. The menu was varied and tasty and the young staff very welcoming. There was a number of entertainment evenings scheduled throughout the week . We did use the Spa and massage facilities however found communication a little difficult. We found this little gem with a Scoopon deal and so glad we did..... excellent value. Thanks to all staff at Premier Ubud we enjoyed our relaxing time with you.

    « 4 Night Stay »

We are just completing a stay at this hotel on a scoopon voucher with an added night. The hotel was quite and relaxing not many guests staying which was great. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was truly amazing traditional Balinese wood and the bathroom so well laid out. The room turn down service of a late afternoon was very sweet my son loved the towel animals left on the bed daily. Great shuttle service into Ubud as it is a walk about 10-15 mins on uneven ground although doable. Food options good, buffet breakfast included with a good selection. My only feedback would be to consider a kids menu with 5-6 options as you do not really have specific kid friendly options although we managed. Also place salt and pepper on your tables at set up. I loved the pool 2 tiered clean and lovely to swim in and the massages included in our deal beautiful room open and pleasant with great traditional Balinese massages for both my husband and I. We have really enjoyed our stay at this hotel for the 4 nights great staff, service and amenities and would highly recommend it.

    « Very enjoyable stay »

Our group of 5 stayed at the resort in August. I was a little concerned because we usually stay in private villas but we were very pleasantly surprised. We had a wonderful 3 nights here and really couldn't find fault with anything. The rooms were lovely and quite spacious, bathrooms clean and modern with great rainfall showers that didn't run out of hot water. The pools, bar and restaurant were fantastic but the highlight of our stay was the wonderful staff. Everyone from the lovely guys at reception, the housekeepers, the waitstaff and in particular our favorites, Putu at the Pool Bar and Juni in the restaurant went out of their way to make us feel welcome, remembering our names and making us feel like we were the most important guests of all! We did have a few minor issues mainly due to communication/language barriers, but they were resolved quickly and professionally. We would not hesitate to recommend this resort and would definitely stay here again next time we visit Ubud.

« Great hotel that I would return to. »

Stayed here using a scoopon deal with friends and happy with the decision. It's a new hotel with beautiful rooms and facilities. It has a buffet style breakfast with a lot of choice of food and beverage. The free meal (lunch or dinner) that came with the deal was good except for the duck...I was the only one in our group who did not order it so the only one who enjoyed her meal that night. There is a shuttle that drops you off and picks you up from town which we had no trouble with, it is only a 15min walk into town but only 2 of our group did this. Negatives.... our 2 scoopon deals came with pick up, unfortuneately only 1 car arrived and the 2nd part of our group were stranded at the airport for a while...NOT happy and no apology. I had everything confirmed by email regarding time and names but still they stuffed up. Secondly...there are no where near enough sun lounges around the pools which is ridiculous. PLEASE add more sun lounges there is the room.

Came here on vacation in September. We were happy with out room and how amazing everyone was. Breakfast was amazing! Lots of different western and eastern food which you can never go bored with. 15 mins walk from Center Ubud. They also have shuttle buses that take you and pick you up from Center Ubud. Super clean and friendly staff! Will come back again

    « Great stay »

Beautiful hotel and exceptional service. For the price, I was beyond satisfied. Hotel is about 10-15 walk from ubud center. There is a shuttle that operates at peak hours, every half hour then every hour or two on off hours. The walk is not so bad, so if you miss the shuttle, just walk. The breakfast included was amazing. Lots of variety and great quality. The dinner menu is also very good. The gym however could use an upgrade. My one tip would be to not book a taxi or day tours with them. We asked for the price for renting a taxi for half a day, they told us 700k IDR but we managed to find one for 400IDR just down the main road.

    « Definitely the Best! »

The Pros We arrived at the BW hotel for 6 nights. The hotel is located in central Ubud but slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main roads. This gives it a calm and tranquil atmosphere. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus into and from town, but we didn't need it as the walk is pleasant and more than doable. The grounds were beautiful and tropical. The pools are very attractive and the staff, super attentive to our every needs. We stayed in a deluxe room. Caution- the hotel website states that every room has a view (pool/garden etc). However, in our room, although it technically faced the pool, the window was almost entirely blocked by a set of stairs which made it dark and gloomy. We discussed our wish to move rooms with the reception staff and were promptly moved to a much more pleasant room the following morning. Breakfast is plentiful and very nice. There is a good range of options to choose from, no complaints! The Cons Dinner in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. We found the food to be average and quite overpriced. There perhaps could be more sun loungers around the pool, although this is a very minor detail. Overall, a wonderful hotel for a decent price. We would not hesitate to return to the Best Western Premier Agung Ubud in the future. Thank you!

« Georgeous hotel in Ubud Town »

It was very beyond expectation for my experience stayed with these resort. Eventhough, walkin distance around 10 minutes from Ubud Centre, for me nothing to be complained. Huge room with free upgrade from the management due to my original booking was under construction. Otherwise, Im lucky for got nice room with bathub. My husband and me in special ocassion for wedding celebration. Decorated room was very romantic, the importanest was free of charge. But unfortunately I forgot to took picture first. I would never bored for stay longer in the hotel as many as guest activity provides i.e yoga, balinese dancing lesson morning walk rice paddies, etc. If you want to unmemorabls one peaceful in Ubud, Best western ubud was a good choice for couple traveler.

« The Best of Best Western in Indonesia »

Travelling around Indonesia as many as often in a month for twice. Smile front desk with well explaining as function of room when he escorts me to the room. I got daily afternoon tea and free treatment like sauna but little a bit different due to i burried in the "warm sand" What a unique experience! Great service at restaurant and pool. Clean and huge room with cool bathub. Service at restaurant and pool bar was excellent. Thet provide guest activity and shuttle bus to Ubud Centre. Atmosphere in calmy Ubud brings up good common sense and mood for us. Would be recommend for other travelers who willing to chill in honeymoom special occasion.

    « Wonderful Boutique Hotel. »

Wonderful international boutique hotel in Ubud. Staff is incredible and willing to help with anything. They were willing to help resolve a very minor room request issue upon check-in, which made our holiday wonderful. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and delicious, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The bed was heavenly to sleep on! Also, the swimming pool and the hotel grounds are clean and beautiful.

    « Lovely hotel »

The hotel was beautiful, clean and had exceptional staff who couldn't have done more for us! The food was also lovely and location great. Only negative was that our room was quite noisy and the pillows were rock hard but these were changed immediately when mentioned to reception. Would definitely stay again!

    « Disappointing, wouldn't recommend »

I'm really hoping the staff will take on board my criticisms and look at ways of improving. POSITIVES: Lovely room Lovely Pool Dining room staff and pool staff are nice NEGATIVES: Food is very ordinary Hotel is not really easily accessible in my opinion and the shuttle is very unreliable One afternoon I rang 4 times waiting for the shuttle in Ubud and was assured 4 times it was 'nearly there miss'. After it was over 1 hour late for pick up we grabbed a taxi to get back to the hotel to find the shuttle had not even left! The traffic was very bad that day I know but if they had only said to us, 'unfortunately we just cannot get there for the pick up due to traffic could you please try to get a taxi' (which was almost impossible at that time) at least we would have understood better than, 'he is almost there'. Seriously upset by this. Why lie?? Then when we booked the 9am shuttle to go down this morning to Ubud, it was 30 minutes late in leaving! We were the only ones on it so what was the hold up??? and no apology either. What if we had an appointment? And the shuttle times are very inconvenient. Not well thought out. Another NEGATIVE: is the rooms are not made up until late in the afternoon which is ridiculous because that is when you come back to the hotel to rest! Yesterday our room was made up at 5pm! and today (our last day, we leave tonight, thank goodness) it is 2pm and I am still waiting!!! This is crazy. Very poor service! Also we have been here for 6 days and our sheets have not been changed in that time, I know because there are marks on them. Very poor for a 4 star hotel. So, if you want to stay out of the way and happy to fork out money every day for transport, happy to pay 4 star prices for 2 star service then this is the place for you. Like I said very disappointing.

    « Location and Cleanlines »

I stay and booked last minute at this hotel .... The staff is very friendly, they try to possibly full fill the customer request and need. The staff effort I should appreciate and admit.... The location is great, it is very easy to access on foot, however shuttle bus is available almost hourly. My room is clean as well as the ground, pool is large enough for us to do sun bath and lying down during the day.

    « +Staff - Location »

I stayed 5 nights. The positives: The staff here is amazing. It's the best "Best Western" by far. The negatives: It's about 1 km from the main strip. So that's a pro and a con in itself. They have a scheduled shuttle bus to take you there and pick you up. It does get full so the hotel recommends you check an hour ahead of time. The doors do not seem to close all the way. You can often hear a lot of noise from outside the room. Overall though, I'm enjoying my stay. I can't rave enough about the staff here. I will say I wish I had upgraded. The price increase isn't huge for the nice view of the pool.

« Fantastic resort but IMPORTANTLY please beware the taxi skimming at the front desk!!! »

I have no hesitation in recommending the BWP in UBUD. We stayed at the resort in late August using a Scoopon offer. On arrival we were upgraded from a deluxe pool room to an executive room. The rooms are very specious, clean and well equipped. Being newly opened the decor is fresh and clean. The pool area is large and positioned well so that wherever you sit you get an opportunity to enjoy the sun most of the day. There are 2 shaded seating areas and a small bar on the lower deck. The restaurant is excellent. Breakfast has a good balance of cooked and fresh options and it is well presented - staff are extremely friendly. No hesitation in giving the hotel top marks. Cons: Very few. For some the location might not be great its about 500m from the town centre. There are only a couple of restaurants close-by (they are good by the way). The other major concern is that when this hotel is busier there will not be enough room for everyone to enjoy the pool area - currently there are only 10 sets of sun beds. I should also mention that the Spa was very good. IMPORTANT BEWARE - Do not book a Taxi through the hotel. I was told by the reception that it was 500rp from the hotel to the airport. Most local taxi firms and executive car hire will only charge 300rp max. When I challenged the receptionist they said that it was 500rp if you book through the hotel. This is skimming and I invite the manager to investigate this and offer guests better options.

« Nice new hotel, with some start-up issues. »

This is a very beautiful, new hotel. Rooms are very clean and facilities are good. Breakfast buffet is sufficiently large and diversified. Staff are always friendly and ready to help. Location is close to the city centre (10-15 min walk or by shuttle). There is a spa, you can rent bikes etc. We really liked our stay. There are some problems however due to the fact that the hotel is so new: although staff are very friendly, it's clear they don't always know what to do or how to react. This will become better with the time I guess. Two things that annoyed us in particular: There's a shortage of poolside beds. For a large hotel like this, it's not ok that there are only 16 poolside beds, although there is plenty of space to put more. Every day, there were numerous people that couldn't find a spot to sit at the pool. When mentioning this to the staff, they said: "yes, other people complain about this too, but we are only open since 4 months". I think they should just put some more beds. Two weeks in advance of our stay, I sent an e-mail through the contact form on their website to ask if it was possible to book an extra night. I never got an answer and when in the hotel, I had to ask 4 days in a row at the reception desk (everyday someone else at the reception desk who was not aware of our question, then they had to check with the boss, then with the reservation centre and so on...) before they told us that they did not receive our e-mail and that by now, room prices had gone way up. Their reaction to this felt very unprofessional. Therefore, for our extra night, we booked another hotel. To conclude: the facilities are very good but there is some work to do on staff training.

« Awesome Best Western Ubud »

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, i found the room is clean and well maintain. Breakfast is quite large for me, and it's cater for vegetarian as well and show a large of traditional choises. One day i miss my breakfast back home and i asked the staff at the restaurant make it for me, they are very happy to make it and served for me. What a good moment...the staff are very friendly and attentive. Cocktail is a kind of things that make me addictive, i love them. I wish i can comeback and stay again at Best Western Ubud

« Perfect stay at great value »

Purchased 2 x 5 night deluxe pool view room deals via Scoopon so it was great value staying here with 2 young kids in inter-connecting rooms. The pool was child friendly and sun was ample around the pool area. The food was very good, although the service was slow every time. Like the free shuttle service although it's really quite quick to walk down to the centre and often quicker than waiting for shuttle. We would happily stay here again as it's very relaxing (the cocktails are tasty too)... not too many guests at breakfast at any given time and not a bintang t-shirt in sight staying here - a very pleasant surprise. Can't wait to stay again.

    « Will never return »

First, we booked a room with two beds, and paid extra for a third person. We recieved coupons for two people for afternoon tea and a spa treatment - I guess paying for a third person means nothing. When we arrived to our room, the room had only one bed. We spoke to management about this and they told us, 'we could downgrade you to a smaller room, if you want, they are the only ones with two beds' or 'you can pay an extra per day for a roll away bed'. I finally decided, fine, I'll just pay the extra $100 for the roll away bed for 4 days. That night, dining in their restaurant, one in our party did not receive their meal until every other person had finished theirs (it came 15-20 minutes after everyone else). They did not offer anything for the inconvenience, not even a salad for him to eat while he waited an inexcusable amount of time watching everyone else eat. The next day, we went to our free breakfast buffet, that was included with the room, and for which we paid a little extra on the site (breakfast included or not on Agoda), plus extra for a third person. They were literally waiting for us to come out of our room to tell us we did not get free breakfast. Instead of talking to me, they pounced on my teenage daughter, telling her 'you have to pay for breakfast, it is not included in your room'. They argued with me and my party (we booked 2 rooms for 4 days for 5 people). They did not send a manager to speak to us, only told us we had to go up and talk to a manager at reception. (We also saw the same thing happen to a group of 4 ladies). The manager said we did not pay for included breakfast - which we did. The issue turns out to be a miscommunication between the booking site, Agoda, and the business. We had to threaten to leave and cancel our three remaining days before they would relent. I was surprised they didn't demand a screen shot of our confirmation of booking email (which we had prepared to show them). A terrible way to treat your customers, and going up to a child the second they walk into your restaurant to tell them something they should be speaking to the adult about is inexcusable. I felt very uncomfortable here, unwanted, and unappreciated. If you do book here, the cafe next door is much better than their restaurant. On the plus side, the room was nice, they give large bottled waters, my 'green view' was beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, and the wifi is very fast. I will never return. I have been to $22 a night places that were miles ahead of this place in customer service and comfort.

« Great service, family friendly facilities, new condition and good price. »

Excellent meals particularly the buffet breakfast. Staff are very customer focussed and the rooms, pools and amenities all really great quality. Walking distance to "town". Kids pool plus adults pool were well maintained and serviced for food and drink.Very good choice for a family or couple.

    « Good overall stay »

We requested two adjoining rooms facing the pool and we are glad the hotel honored our request. We had dinner in the onsite restaurant and both nights, our dinners were excellent and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was included in our rate and the made to order omelettes and pancakes were very good. We didn't care for the rest of the food but that is a cultural matter of taste. They seemed like they had a lot of options for lots of preferences. We arrived late our first night and then left early after our second night and we toured during the day so we didn't get much time at the hotel itself. The rooms and bathrooms were nice. Beds were a little hard for our liking. Our teenager's balcony had furniture but our balcony did not and we noticed some balconies did have furniture and some did not. I would suggest the management have furniture for all balconies. The rooms are along an open corridor and there is a bit of a gap at the bottom of the exterior doors. The doors are heavy so when people come and go you can hear the noise of the doors closing. Unfortunately, there was a family staying across the hall from us with three young girls and they were standing outside their door crying and being very loud and the sound traveled right into our room waking us earlier than we wanted (but the parents should have been trying to manage that situation a lot better, in my opinion.) The pool and outdoor setting was very nice. The staff was very nice although some of the staff's English could be better for being in tourism/hospitality. We never tried walking to town. We thought about taking the shuttle into town for our last night's dinner, however, after dealing with the ridiculous traffic on the way back to the hotel after touring, we didn't want to sit in more traffic. The staff told me that it was taking the shuttle about an hour due to the traffic (should have been 10-15 minutes if you just look at the distance.) Having never been to Bali, I was really shocked at the amount of traffic in the touristy areas. Overall, I think this hotel is a good choice if you want to stay a bit out of the central Ubud town but not too far in the outskirts. Ubud was much bigger area-wise than we anticipated so you could probably end up in some fairly remote areas so I do think this location is good. I wish we would have had a few more days to enjoy the pool and scenery and take advantage of the walking distance to town. Note to management...we were in rooms 323 and 325. I believe 325 is the double room. The shower in that room does not drain well due to the tile placement.

« My Favorite Hotel in Bali! »

My daughter and I stayed at the Best Western Premier for 5 nights and I wish we had stayed longer! The staff at this hotel are fantastic! They are all so kind and helpful, they really made us feel at home. The pools are beautiful, and the tropical view from the pool is gorgeous! The rooms are big and comfortable. The soaking tub in the bathroom and the rain shower were both great amenities. Our room was on the first floor, but still had a really nice green view. The breakfast at the hotel is fantastic! There are tons of options to choose from and the coffee is really good. There is a nice mix of local and western food and we never had trouble finding something delicious to enjoy. The afternoon tea offered by the hotel is a nice touch also. The location of the hotel is a short 15 minute walk from the center. There is a shuttle to and from every hour, but it's no big deal to walk. We walked it in the dark also and it is completely safe. The only thing that I would improve about this hotel is the number of sunbeds and umbrellas at the pools. There are too few for how many people are there, and a couple of afternoons we either had no chair, or no shade. Other than that, this place is perfect! It will be my go to any time I'm in Ubud.

    « I should tell this- »

The pick-up shuttle service which I confermed with the driver twice never arrived, and we, total strangers with a little boy who was extremely tited, had to stand on the ubud center's busy street waiting for the shuttle which never came. It was such a horrible and terrifying experience. Worse? The front staff(Ayu) was very rude in this situation. She made us feel like idiots. That's why we left this resort. Yes, the pick-up service can make a mistake. However, we needed a sincere apology and some genuine make-up for that, not mockery. Well, other two staffs, a male whom I don't know the name and a female staff named Dewa, were relatively kind, attentive and patient. I can surely admit that. Still, the Ayu staff never apologized till we leave. She needs to be retrained, no matter what.

« Best Western Premier Agung Resort Ubud »

This new hotel was a bargain, we booked a scoop on deal for three nights (my sister and I). We were picked up from the airport free of charge and our driver Meri was a great communicator. Hotel staff were all very friendly, the resort was new and very well appointed and maintained. To our surprise our stay also included one free balinese massage for one hour each, a complimentary cocktail or beer daily, plus in addition to the free daily breakfast (wonderful omelettes) it also included either free lunch or dinner daily, however we didn't take this offer up as we were out most of time. Only a 10 minute walk to Ubud Centre.

    « Costly but ok »

Our experience at this hotel has been ok. While the facilities are great, I'm not sure we would come back as I think there are other places that offer the same things for less. Putu at the bar was great, very knowledgable and friendly. The rest of the staff did not really got out of their way to get to know you, it made us feel like we were just another number to them. Had buffet dinner on Sunday with wine tasting. There was only red wine to taste and the meal was very limited, not a lot of choice for $25AUD. Breakfast is good but expensive too so make sure you get it included in your room (we were advised we had got it by reception but then told that this wasn't the case). The rest of the menu was good but again quite costly and took ages to come arrive at our table. They have a consistent shuttle service to and from Ubud which is good. The room was good, bathroom nice with good hot water. Internet is good very fast. There are lots and lots of stairs, if you are disabled this would not be the place for you. Overall, the stay was adequate and met our needs but we probably wouldn't stay there again.

Putu's special Cinderella. Great taste refreshing and always consistent. Best bar tenders creation ever. Top service. All staff very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Rooms clean and modern and staff keep it that way. We'll be back.

« Nice hotel but poor service »

The hotel itself is gorgeous, the pool and the room were absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately it is still a new hotel and that was reflected in the service. We arranged an airport transfer, but they use a tour operator for this, and so the driver actually got lost and drove right by the hotel. This resulted in him driving around Ubud for an additional 40 minutes (and we had just spent 2 days travelling!) You would imagine that the driver the hotel sent would be able to locate the hotel, right? Apparently not. That night we found our room to be very noisy because we had been placed in an adjoining room - when I rang reception and asked if we could move I was told the hotel was fully booked so this would not be possible. Now I might be wrong but I checked and there were rooms available online for that particular night. The first morning we tried to use the pool, there was nobody at the pool side bar so I asked a member of staff near reception where we could get pool towels. She told me to ask the restaurant. I asked someone at the restaurant, who said she would bring us some towels. Two minutes later she came down to the pool and told us we would have to go to the poolside bar for the towels (miraculously someone had appeared). It was nothing major but I thought that it showed a lack of staff knowledge and a lack communication between staff in the hotel. This became clear again when we rang the spa to ask for a massage. It was after 6pm but the book in our room said it was open until 11 so we thought we would try make an appointment. The staff in the spa were extremely unhelpful and unfriendly - the first person who answered told me they were closed, and when I queried this she put me on to someone else (after I heard laughter between the two of them) who said the same thing. They both sounded like they didn't want the inconvenience of actually taking an appointment. I rang reception who told me that massages are by appointment only after 6pm, which I found very confusing as I had been in fact trying to make an appointment. Eventually I gave up because again the person sounded very unfriendly and as if answering the phone had been a massive inconvenience. Another night we tried to order room service - there was no menu in our room so we rang reception and asked for one. They told us they would bring one down. We waited but nobody brought one to the room. My boyfriend went to reception, where a member of staff was sitting on their phone, and seemed to know nothing about our request for a menu. Rather than get one for him, they told him to go to the restaurant and get one, which to me kind of defeats the purpose of room service... These are just a few small examples and each incident on its own wouldn't bother me, but when you receive poor service on multiple occasions, it's something you remember. The hotel needs to provide better staff training and in particular improve communication between the different departments. One thing I will say is that the staff at breakfast were always super friendly and very good at what they do, so the other staff could learn a lot from them! In terms of location, it's only a 15 minute walk to Ubud centre, so it's very convenient. I don't recommend walking back in the dark though, but you can get a taxi for about 50,000 - taxi drivers might try charge you more because of the one way system but it's really not that big of a deal for them to drive round. All in all I think this hotel could be great once they iron out the kinks in the service, because it's a beautiful place in a beautiful location. Hopefully the service will improve as staff become more experienced.

    « Fantastic resort »

Best western has been very accomodating to our needs, as a large family and single mum travelling with three little ones they have always gone out of there way to help us. Very friendly staff in particular bar staff (I putu Agus Wiratama) food and Bev manager and his trained staff man Karisna have gone out of there way to greet us with very friendly faces and remembering our orders and taking care to make us feel comfortable. Amazing cocktails and again making things to our needs and liking. The other staff member I must note is the driver ari putra suatmaja... he went out of his way to help us and his communication is very positive, clear and overall very happy man. Thank you for our stay and your wonderful hospitality... rooms very comfortable and clean and beautiful resort very close to ubud central. I will defiantly stay again purely to support the staff mentioned above.

« Brand new hotel with great staff and excellent amenities »

Stayed here for 5 nights and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The room was pretty new, everything worked well, it was comfortably furnished, with blockout curtains for sleeping, excellent a/c for the heat/humidity and plenty of room. The bathroom was especially large with both a shower and bath. in addition there was a health spa on the complex (the massages are a must), a well equipped gym, new mountain bikes for daily hire, 2 pools (1 shallow child pool) and a cocktail bar nearby to serve drinks and for ordering nibbles. There was also a coffee shop near the main reception area as well as a undercover/outdoor eating area that served the buffet breakfast as well as a la carte lunches and dinners. Breakfast had a good assortment of western and indonesian dishes, and eggs were made to order. Both quantity of food and quality was sufficient. The cocktail bar had a good selection of the popular recipes and they didn't stint. Putu the food and beverage manager is especially helpful. The staff were all friendly; reception had great english and assisted with my various tour excursions organising pickups etc. They also organise shuttles to/from the airport as required. I had a really relaxing time at the Best Western Premier, the space is clean, welcoming, quiet, reasonably close to Ubud central and for a new hotel running quite well. I wish them well and would be happy to return anytime

    « OK - but over rated »

We stayed 3 nights in the hotel in July 2017. Picked hotel based on the exceptional good ratings in TripAdvisor, and paid a premium for this. The experience was somewhat different. After having stayed in various hotels during our Bali vacation, this was sadly a disappointment. Reception/Services We booked volcano sunrise hike through reception. Trip was to include hiking boots and steam bath, but this turned out to not be correct. We ended up paying 45% more for same trip as others in our group. Recommend the trip but better to buy from certified resellers in main streets of Ubud. Reception is not the best place to get advice. Breakfast Simple with limited selection. Good choice for eggs, otherwise nothing special. Surprised to not find fresh juices!? Ants on most all tables (and most other places in the common areas). Rooms Ok rooms, somewhat clean (dust, paper and old socks found under beds). Bathrooms good, clean and with confortable showers. Possible to have connected rooms if families. Pools/sun beds Two smaller pools to dip in, but that's about it. A few sun beds available, but if you are looking for a location to rest by the pool, there are plenty of nicer places in same price category to choose from. Location It's a 20+ minutes walk to central streets, restaurants and sights. It's ok, but coming back another time, we are likely to choose different. Ok hotel, but price/value is far from good. I cannot recommend this hotel, knowing there are other better choices in Ubud and Bali!

« New hotel and great staff »

New hotel. Clean and tidy rooms. Bathroom has both shower and bathtub. Some rooms has no views. Staff are very helpful. Breakfast is decent. They have also dinner offers in their restaurant. Dinner is good for that price. Close to Ubud market. 15 minutes walk. Because it is located on a one way street, driving to hotel from the center can take up to 10 mins while going is only 3-4 mins. Hotel offers free shuttle to the center of Ubud.

Spend 6 nights in a connecting room with our 2 children (8 and 6) and was fantastic. Hotel is located in quiet neighborhood, 10 minutes walking from Ubud center. The rooms are really comfortable, in very good shape with all the equipments needed. Finally, the peuple working are majong à really good job in housekeeping and food and beverage.

    « A relaxing stay »

This hotel offers a comfortable stay for travellers. It is peaceful, yet only a 10-15 minute walk to Ubud centre. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I had a beautiful executive room, which could be better insulated from the noise of adjoining rooms, but this wasn't a big problem - it might be for light sleepers though.

« Best western Best place »

We stayed here for 3 nights thinking it would be to many. After staying in Seminyak for a further 7 nights we would have loved to have done longer in Ubud. The hotel was perfect. You will always find things to pick and moan at but what's the point enjoy it. The hotel has been open or a few months and they are nailing it. The room was really nice great size bed, we had a balcony which over looked a little rice field and a small prayer temple. The pool is really good. It's a nice size and over looks the lower deck and trees. The staff couldn't do enough for you always checking if the room was ok or if something needed doing. We would stay here again una heartbeat beautiful place with beautiful people. Thank you best western and your team.

« Very clean and friendly hotel »

We stayed at best western for 6 nights and it was very refreshing. The rooms were always clean and the staff was very attentive to all our needs. We also booked a day trip around ubud and our driver Ari was happy to not only drive us to places but explaining everything and taking pictures of us every step along the way! The only thing they could improve on is making the shuttle dropoff a little more consistent, and maybe adding a later pickup time since 8 pm is still pretty early.

« lovely new hotel in Ubud »

We spent 7 days here as a family of 2 kids and 2 adults. The property is resort-like without being overwhelmingly large. It is very pleasantly designed, lots of green open views and paddy fields. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. Service was excellent, esp Sri and Dewayu at reception, Savitri in the restaurant and the smiling Hendra Putra of housekeeping who made the most beautiful towel animals for us daily. The hotel is a 10 min walk from Ubud centre - we walked down many times and it was not difficult even for our kids. There is also a shuttle service to town. The buffet breakfast was excellent and included indonesian and western dishes. Couple of misses - like the airport pickup which never arrived and the wake-up call which never came. Also a bit of mix up with our request for connecting rooms - the hotel made this up by upgrading us, which we appreciated. We also have to place on record our appreciation for the flexibility of the hotel in helping us with changing our dates even though they were not in any way obliged to do this for us. Jalan Sri Wedari where the hotel is located is lovely, quiet street with a community feel. On the same road, I would recommend the Iman Spa across the street, the silver making workshop at Chez Monique and the kecak dance at the Desa Pura Taman Kaja. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, it exceeded our expectations.

My wife and I have just spent three days at this beautiful hotel in Ubud it was a great experience . From the greeting at the the reception desk they made us feel very special . The wait we're very friendly and attentive always making us feel welcome (special mention to Made the waitress who looked after the buffet making sure everyone was happy ) The other members of the staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable I would highly recommend this hotel when you visit Ubud as you won't be disappointed Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a great holiday experience

    « Beyond Pleasant! »

It has been awhile since I've stayed at a Best Western but I don't think too highly of them. This experience has changed my perception. It was not part of my plan to stay here, but I was dissatisfied with my previous accommodations. I was searching for a new place to stay and found this Best Western. It was reasonably priced, had great reviews, and the pictures looked great. Wow! I loved it here! The service was excellent, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was amazing. They had a complimentary breakfast with made to order omelette bar and pancakes. There is a shuttle that will take you to downtown (it is walkable) Ubud several times per day. The staff was sweet and the manager I saw several times around the property. She apologized on my last day for not having introduced herself to me earlier. The pool was nice and I had a great Balinese Massage in the spa. Instead of staying 2 days, I extended my stay to 4 days. I highly recommend this resort!

« Incredible hospitality in the heart of uBUD »

My husband Anuj and I travelled to Bali for the first time a few weeks ago for our anniversary. He surprised me by his excellent selection for our first leg of the trip in Ubud. What was meant to be a four night stay ended up with us extending it for a couple of more nights, only because of the great staff in the hotel led by Alit and the F&B manager Putu. It is truly one of a kind- not just because of the great facilities for the price it offers but more because of the people who run and manage it. We are vegetarian and Putu and his team ensured that all our needs were met. In spite of being a hotel, we found home in BWP, ubud. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will most definitely come back and stay longer. Not because it is only a great hotel but our entire experience was more memorable because of our experience with the lovely staff who we will remember for a very long time.

« Brand new hotel, good service and friendly staff »

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night (the rest of our family stayed 2 nights), and we just found out that the hotel is brand new (opened in April 2017). Located on a one way street, it is a little bit of a hassle to go to the first time. The room was clean and spacious, the swimming pool is very good, with 2 pools (normal pool and kids pool). The breakfast was simple and decent. There is no elevator in the hotel, so it can be problematic for older guests. However the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had flat tire during our stay, and the staff was very helpful. With the price that we got, it is a very good value hotel.

Loved this hotel! This hotel is located quite far from the hustle and bustle of the centre but within a close enough distance of a taxi ride, we walked back one evening and didn't feel the safest the paths throughout Bali aren't up to a high standard and there isn't much lighting on the streets however Bali taxis are so cheap that this is just how we would have got home however the hotel is well within a close distance enough to walk. There is nothing I could fault about this hotel the rooms were great, the staff were a awesome and just couldn't do enough to make sure you were happy! The pool area was great and the surrounding areas were really quite attractive! I know this is a brand new hotel and not fully open so there wasn't any entertainment so can't comment on that, however me and my partner both received a spa treatment the therapists didn't speak much English so we didn't know what was going on after the massage but overall it was a nice experience. The food was lovely!! However felt the portions could be bigger as we didn't feel full enough after considering the prices of the food. My recommendations towards the new hotel would be, maybe two chairs on the balcony instead of one :) music in the massage room (whilst your on a balcony the nature sound would be lovely if it wasn't for the many scooters passing) and bigger portion sizes for the al la carte meals. Overall I would definitely stay here again if we were to come back to Ubud! A huge thanks to all the staff who made it a very enjoyable trip :).

« thisThis hotel/resort is far enough from the busy streets of Ubud, yet near enough to reach on foot »

I don't want to let the secret out, but this hotel/resort is far enough from the busy streets of Ubud, yet near enough to reach on foot. Having opened in April of 2017, this brand new resort hotel has fantastic facilities, a big pool, nice quiet surroundings and some really nice rooms. Above all, the staff go out of their way to ensure your comfort, the food served is excellent. I could easily stay here for a long period as it falls within the luxury range of places to stay. Some might like something nearer to the town centre, but a short 10-15 minute walk gets you there.

« Good place to stay near Ubud Center »

This hotel is newly opened. Not even yet grand launched because there were some rooms & facilities were not ready. This semi resort hotel located just 5 - 10 mins walk to Ubud Center. But they also provide free shuttle if you prefer. I stayed @ Deluxe room w/ pool view & the view from the balcony was beautiful overlooking the two tier swimming pool. A good place to have tea or maybe just taking selfies i guess. Deluxe room is decent size (28sqm) & i had nothing to complain about it except the lighting. At night the room seems to be too dark for me. A little advice is if you can ask for the Pool View room, bcoz the Green view room is not too good & mosquitos sometimes could be a problem. Staying here @ rainy season can also be a little problem since there is no shelter / roof on the way from the lobby to hotel room. However, the hotel provides umbrellas in each rooms & @ the lobby. The hotel gave us a complimentary afternoon tea which was just Ok & 15 minutes of traditional Spa (Unfortunately i didn't have time to try it). Our breakfast was in free order a la carte & there was only a few menus to choose from. Luckily the taste wasn't disappointing. Overall i think this is a good place to stay near Ubud Center with reasonable price.

« Great stay in Ubud »

What an amazing stay we had! The resort is well taken care of and the staff is just amazing! They are so helpful and nothing is a problem. We started every day at the restaurant, enjoying the excellent breakfast. The buffet is great, and you can also order a la carte. The quality of the food is very high and all the dishes we had were really tasty. The location of the resort is perfect, not in the busy centre, but in the quit part of Ubud, within the walkin distance to all restaurants and bars. We have rented a motor bike and the front desk arranged for us in no time. The rooms are pretty big with a lovely huge bathroom. We had a super stay in Ubud and next time we're coming, we will definitely stay at Best Wester Premier Agung again!

    « Service excellence »

We were having a retreat programme in the resort from 18-22 May and staff had been very accommodating to our meals and needs. Breakfast was a simple affair, but you get whatever you need. Staff also helped us to prepare our lunches and dinners which were sent from another resort to our place because of the programme. I would say all their staff were excellent, especially when helping us to contact our yoga teachers from another resort, or when we needed something for our room. Great thanks to the lady at the reception who seemed to be working non-stop for the first 3 days that we were there. Unfortunately, we did not get her name. I've got the name of Wayan from the restaurant who also did an excellent job in serving us. In fact, the staff of the resort were the stars of the show, even down to the young man who helped scooped sand over us for the medicinal sand bath, which was truly a unique feature of the resort. Taking about which, the sand bath is quite an experience. You get into a suit and lie buried in heated sand for 30 - 45 minutes, with someone watching over you in case you decide to get out early. The sand is truly organic, where you would initially see small insects crawling over it but later would settle deep underground as you rest. Nothing to be alarmed about as you are fully protected by the suit. I loved the quietness of the place, and it is ideal for couples or anyone who needs peace. They allowed us to use the suite room for our yoga and meditation, and the small touches count. Staff bothered to light up aromatherapy for the room even though we only needed it for an hour. Such thoughtfulness is hard to come by. I loved that we had a pool view and was near the restaurant. This place is truly a gem as it is within walking distance to the ubud market but yet private enough. You would love this place.

« Amazing hotel with excellent customer focus »

We chose a room with the balcony. The view is calming of the fields. This is a new hotel and the rooms are spacious. They have 2 pools and the concept of the small waterfall is brilliant. The breakfast could be better. The staff at this hotel are simply amazing. They go all out to their way to please the customer. Dwi the HR manager gave us gift of a sling as we were enquiring where to buy it for our baby. The staff volunteered to look after my infant whilst we ate. There is a free shuttle to Ubud town. Overall we loved the stay

« Did not regret choosing this hotel a single bit!!!! »

I had arrived the hotel pretty late, about 1ish in the morning. The front desk was super attentive and checking in was pleasant. I loved how he explain thoroughly to us about the room and knowing it was late did not drag on us. Breakfast was acceptable, nothing great but i wasn't left hungry either. I do hope that in the future the in-room menu would more varied. Im a lazy traveller so some nights i just preferred to stay in and eat at the hotel, price was extremely reasonable but came 2nd night i already did not know what to order. Maybe im just a picky eater but since it was a new hotel i have nothing to complain. I do however have to highlight that the staffs which was positioned here were extremely attentive, if they realized you did not turn up for breakfast they would call you in the room and ask if you would still want to eat, the care and extra effort , that to me is a thumbs up! The staffs were more than happy to provide information about the area and extremely friendly. Location of the hotel was super! just 15 mins walk to the city, close enough to coffee shops but away from the noise and traffic. The surrounding area of the hotel was pleasant and relaxing, infinity two tier swimming pool facing trees was nice. The only problem about the swimming pool area was that there was hardly any staffs around, which made it really difficult to order drinks or even ask for a towel, i kept on having to go the the restaurant and ask. The room that i had was way beyond my expectation, I had stayed for 5nights, and was really the highlight of my stay, the bed was so comfy, spacious and the room was well lighted and clean. The bath area was also really nice and not to forget, clean. The pictures on trip advisor as well as the hotel website does not serve it's purpose. A new thing that i had the chance to do was the herbal bath! if you have the time please, please give it a try, it was my first time experiencing something like it and it had left me so rejuvenated and relaxed, i would surely do it again! I love going somewhere and feeling like you don't want to leave, and yes after staying at this place, i didn't! I would surely come back to this place again!

« Good Location, Best Value, Nice Place to stay »

Stayed here for 4 nights, didn't have high expectations of the hotel as not many reviews. However, The hotel surpassed my expectations and It became a great stay for myself and my sister. We booked the hotel online and we requested for the room near the fish pond and we got it! Not many hotels read the requirements during booking and sometimes you need to remind hotels on your requirements. For Best Western Ubud however, we were happy to get the rooms we requested for. We arrived at 1am (due to late flight). Check in was a breeze, the BW team were very friendly and helpful. My sister and I got a room next to each other. The rooms were spacious and clean. it has a nice bath tub and nice bed. However the pillows were a bit too big for me and the breakfast choices were minimal. But its understandable because there were not many guests at the time. Perhaps in the future, the breakfast can be improved? The 2 tier swimming pools are great split between adults and children's pool. The staff are attentive and helpful and the location is not too far from the center of Ubud. I would recommend staying here for families / couples.

We got free upgrade to suite, very spacious and lovely furnished. The hotel is new and just amazing: beautiful pool zone surrounded by the jungle, great location (walking distance to the center), attentive and very welcoming staff. Wish I had more nights to spend in this wonderful hotel

I was here for a very short stay of two nights while exploring Ubud, the view from room was absolutely amazing, the staff from the minute we got there were so helpful and really nice. An amazing staying from the beginning to the end, really quite, location is good and close from city center. The main pool was good, with good views and some private dining areas pool side. Would definitely go back again. Thank's.

    « JUST PERFECT »

Wonderful stay in Best Western Premier Ubud. The resort is so beautiful, lovely designed , has so many open spaces . The surrounding is seren & relaxing. Service is incredible, the staffs are so forthcoming & friendly. The room is homey & clean. The location is not to far from Ubud centre, we can just walk 15 minutes to the center. So the hotel just perfect for relaxing but just walking distance to main attraction & the stores or restaurants.

Nice location, walking distance to Ubud Central Market. Spaciuos room with traditional furniture but very clean and neat. Great swimming pool, the one and only Balinese style spa in Bali. If you want to relax and enjoy your life with luxury and green living. This is the best.
