This hotel is cosy and quiet and have a marvellous breakfast!

The room was nice and clean, with a good bed, and proper blinders for bright summer nights. The breakfast is superb and the service provided by the staff was too! The parking is near and cheap in the weekdays and free in the weekends. The hotel is perfectly situated in downtown Sundsvall - making it a good hub for different activities, events and evenings out enjoying dinners or even parties. Even the hotel itself has a good restaurant to dine in - marvellous!

Good location for Sundsvall, close proximity to bus and train station and restaurants/bars Room and bathroom was small and basic but functional, though my husband and I both agreed it smelled like our respective university halls, which though nostalgic, was not entirely welcome (could have done with being aired out!) Breakfast was very good

Great beds and nice room, i stayed in this hotel several times and has good service and excellent breakfust. Their restaurant for dinner is always up to nice standards and they every now and then has events as well. In its price range its good value

On our way to visit family vi stopped at Baltic. Got the best stay thanks to Mårten and Anna-Karin in the reception. The breakfast is really really good! They have personalized little things like home-made yam and other stuff that is made with love.

The hotel staff is friendly and seem to be happy working at the hotel. An amazing gym with pretty much any equipment you would need including a sauna. Breakfast has a large spread that was continuously replenished. Great assortments of coffees and teas available 24 hours. I would not hesitate to recommend and look forward to returning.

Amazing week-long stay with my family. Everyone from cleaning staff to management were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is top notch and worth mentioning, we looked forward to it every morning. The location is perfect and close to everything. My kids enjoyed the electric scooters that were always available close by the hotel. Very affordable rates, we will be back next time we are in town!

We stayed with you this week on Wednesday night We had been driving from the far eastern side of Finland .... and spent the last 3 months crossing Europe in our Land Rover. We were really tired and the people who helped us at the Baltic reception were absolutely fantastic! Sara and Mike were their names Their warmth, and friendliness and efficiency were fabulous. We have been to many hotels and camp sights on our trip and this was a wonderful experience with Sara and Mike Thank you

Apartment is fully quipped with good facility, we had a good stay in Long stay apartment, the staffs are very courteous and helpful in guiding, The whole team were very much helpful and supportive, Thank you Team!

This hotel has definitively everything what you can expect, even more! Its perfect location in the city centre with nice decorated interiour and profesional services gave us amazing experience! Delicious rich breakfast, easy parking, free relax and gym room was just a bonus, we really appreciate! Kindness and welcoming from staff made us feel so comfortable and we definitively come back!

Stayed here for a night and was impressed: lovely room, great buffet spread, hand sanitizers in common areas and restaurants and social distancing was also observed. The hotel is close to most tourist attractions (Sundsvall city center is really small) and parking is just is front of the hotel. For the price we paid, the hotel is highly recommended.

If you're in the neighborhood or staying at this hotel please do yourself the courtesy of having their Sunday brunch. It's simply the best! The staff were very nice and professional, a warm welcome from the moment you step in.

Best Western Hotel Baltic was our choice for a day stop on our way to Lapland. First, the staff was very kind and helpful. Our room was big enough, clean and with a comfi bad. I missed a balcony and the bath tube, but could live without it. The most pleasant surprise was the breakfast: the best I ever had in Scandinavia, variated, tasty and all this in a very cozy restaurant.

Nice hotel and very friendly staff, the breakfast is very wide varited and neatly care. The company book me an 1 person room, those are very small, but clean with a good bed and bathroom. Dog's are allowed and there is an elevator, the plubic room is small so you have to join the table's what nice is ( my oppinion ) to have or start a chat with the other visitors.

I can not say something different than excellent. The room were extremely gorgeous and cozy. The breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly and helpful. It is very close to the historical center and also to the train station, that you can walk from there. I will come back for sure

I stayed here (unfortunately) just for one night during a business trip. The hotel is located right in the city center and parking is available nearby. The hotel is very good in all aspects but I would have rated it 4/5 if it wasn't for the front desk staff (in particular the woman that worked when we checked in on the late afternoon of Thursday 21/11). We got a fantastic check in where she showed a great sense of service and a great sense of humour, while having high energy and positivity. When you see someone that loves their job, you instantly feel much more positive as a customer. Facilities were good and the rooms spacious enough. I really liked that they don't have the traditional closeth that is just bulky and takes up extra space, but instead just a rack on the wall. A smart solution that provide you with the functionality without using up too much space. Breakfast was good with high quality components and a large variety of food selections.

Nice hotel with renovated rooms. Good location, very clean and a staff that give you more than you pay for. Very nice and good breakfast, good variety, also for the allergic visitors. Nice restaurant and if the menu doesn't fit you have a big selection of restaurants in walking distance.

Visited with my partner, extremely polite and helpful receptionist. Room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was amazing great choice freshly prepared and helpful staff. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

The location is really great the hotel it self appears old and would love to have some paint here and there. The staff were very friendly. The biggest problem for me was the hard closing doors of the other rooms. Every time a door was closed you heard the loude noise and felt the vibration. The breakfast was outstandingly good!

Stayed here 2adults and 2kids, had nice family room, beds very comfortable. Breakfast was really superb. There was everything one could wish for. Good location with parking just outside. If passing be again we will be back here.

My flight was leaving at 6 in the morning, so they prepared for me a breakfast at 5 in the morning, very very good service. Everything was fresh, coffee, fruit, warm bread and at 5.20 the taxi was there in front of the hotel

I have been in Sundsvall for the Business meetings, where we chose to stay at western baltic, The Stay was very pleasant and the staffs where very helpful and best part of the stay was the breakfast it was so good :)

Close to old town center and a little walk to the casino, this hotel has a nice location. Nice and smooth check-in. The room was clean and had a really comfortable bed. Good breakfast with generous opentime. Easy checkout. I like this hotel.

Really nice hotel, small room but good planning. Nice friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was really excellent, fresh and tasty and a lot of extra options your don't see too often. Well worthy the price and a little more.

Really comfortable hotel without complications, as you want a hotel to be. Convenient check in and check out, friendly and helfull staff at reception, great breakfast buffet (although some guests really need to start behaving, but thats not upto the hotel to teach them), we enjoyed the eastern dinner buffet. No bar, but a fridge at the reception where you could get some cold drinks.

I love this hotel. It is situated in a great area with many nice walks and restaurants close by. The relax lounges spread throughout the hotel are cosy and comfortable. When visiting Sundsvall this is my hotel of choice.

The room was really nice with double bed. I booked an upgraded single room because I read that there were people complaining about the fact that the single rooms were claustrophobic. The bathroom was really nice. The stuff was very kind. I didn't have breakfast yet but I think that it will be very good. The only minus is that the room has a backyard window so that was not so nice.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. The room we had was pretty spacious as it was a family room. The bathroom though was tiny to the point I was glad my 194cm tall husband was not with us! He would not have been able to sit on the toilet except from sideways. I almost banged my head in the opposite wall once, and I am only 157cm. Housekeeping was a mess! In a room for four people we only got two mugs. No sugar for our tea and only one milk. Of course nothing to stir with either... The second day they didnt even care to give us new mugs for the tea and coffé we could make in our room, but left the old dirty mugs! Really bad for a hotel that price range! Hotel breakfast was among the fresher and thats why I still give it three stars. Unfortunately I will not return to this hotel next time I visit Sundsvall, which is quite frequently. There are better hotels there around the same price range.

From arrival to check out the staff provided the best service. The room was small and the bathroom tiny but had all I needed (except a hairdryer). And the bed was so comfty. Plus one of the best breakfasts I have ever had in Sweden. Freshly squeezed juices, creamy scrambled eggs, a lot of fresh fruits, chia pudding and a lot of other yummie things. I would definately recommend this hotel.

I arrived at mid night unplanned to the hotel to find nice smiling receptionist who was quick in arranging everything. The room was not that large bu enough to have a comfortable stay. Bed was very comfortable as well with nice clean shower. The internet inside the room was not that good. The breakfast was very good, not that large buffet but high quality almost everything . I really liked the home made juice of (orange juice, pineapple, and mint). It was as perfect as everyday.

We stayed the night at the hotel and decided to dine in on a freezing Friday night. The food was really great, service kind and understanding (family dining with pree-teens and a five year old is not always a holiday...). We will certainly stay there again and have dinner in the restaurant!

If you want a good value hotel in Sundsvall then this is for you. Right now and for most times its 20% cheaper than First hotel Strand but Baltic is at least a star or a star and a half better tuna First Hotel. Good sleep quality and beds, I always sleep okay here. Rooms are bigger than First hotel and better organised. Baltic is calmer and away from the conference hustle and bustle so you get a quieter stay. Prices are reasonable for Sundsvall. Food and breakfast are good and their spa/gym area is clean and nice, my wife was impressed and she doesnt impress easily. I recommend this hotel.

Nicely located, friendly staff, fresh rooms of adequate size, nice fitness and sauna area, very good breakfast. Walking distance from the city centre and railway station (even at minus 15 centigrade...). It was already dark when I checked in, and still dark when I checked out, so I can't say much about the view.

Cool hotel in a old building, the staff was great, put us in the Corp apartment on the top floor for a great price. This room was large and comfortable, others looked very small as we passed them in the hallway. the location was perfect for exploring downtown.

Luleå was next stop on the way back to Norway. Hotel Baltic was booked via Booking.com using mobile. The service on arrival was absolutely impeccable and the room we received was nice and clean but not of the biggest rooms we have rented during our trip. We ate dinner at the hotel and were very pleased with the food and service from our waiter. Parking right outside the hotel and even free for the next morning. We will be happy to return.

We slept here for one night passing through on our way from the northern parts of Sweden to Skåne. This place can we highly recommend. Our room (two grown-ups and two kids) was very good and beds were comfortable. The only thing missing was a mirror in the room (the bathroom had two, but you might still need one if the bathroom is occupied). Breakfast was g r e a t with everything you can wish for. If we return to Sundsvall which we found to be a very cozy city, we will most likely stay here again.

On the way to north, we decided to stay in Sundsvall overnight. So happy we did! City is so nice and close to sea. Best Western is my favorite choice for hotel when travelling and this time my expectations were exceeded. This hotel must have had a renovation lately, because lobby, restaurant and rooms look nice and modern. Almost fell to sleep in the cozy library at the lobby. Bed was new and comfortable; I slept like a baby. Breakfast was super; all you could wish and my favorite; Nutella pancakes :). There's a separate corner for gluten free food (see pics). One star is missing because of parking. Available only is paid parking in a lot (mostly full) or surrounding streets. After all I warmly recommend this hotel

Very good clean and spacious hotel in sundsvall. The rooms have high speed internet - it works great if you need to work online. They have a big breakfast buffe with everything you can think of and it's well cooked. We've tried some other hotels in Sundsvall but always pick Baltic if they have free rooms.

If you enjoy Gin, this is the place to go with over 20 choices and an experienced mix of Botanicals to match the Gin plus choice of premium tonics. Dinner was also excellent, with a glass of wine recommended with each course.

5th or 6th time I'm staying here. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are nice. Good beds and a good shower. The breakfast buffet is extensive and of high quality. Although close to the center the rooms are very quiet. Really recommended to stay here.

We booked two economy single rooms and got upgraded on arrival. Rooms were smallish but perfectly pleasant and extremely good value. Dinner in the restaurant was disappointing - a menu devised by someone who doesn't really like food I would say. But, there are plenty of restaurants nearby and breakfast was fine. We needed to be near the station for a morning train so the location was good. I'd happily stay here again.

Stayed one night on a stopover travelling north. The reception and dining room staff were pleasant and helpful. The really poky bedroom on the 3rd floor was comfortable and faced the public car park so at least we could keep an eye on our car once the really thick fog had lifted, although I got the impression that lovely Sundsvall isn't a crime hot spot. The only complaint would be that the bathroom was in dire need of modernising. The breakfast had everything you could wish to choose, and very tasty too. The library area was restful and cosy.

We got a great room for our family (2 adults, one 12-year old and one 7-year old) with sufficient space. Lack of refrigerator was negative. Very slow elevator. Very good breakfast. The superb location of the hotel weighs up for the cons of no free parking.

The hotel is situated near the harbor and close to main roads, and therefore easy to find. A good sized parking area just outside the hotel (free parking from Saturday evening and all Sunday). if you come by motorcycle, they offer a looked courtyard at the hotel).The service from the staff at the reception was very good. We got a lot of help and information without even asking for it. They have a small selection of beer, water, snacks and toiletries in the reception. The room had the best bed in the whole world, and the room had a fairly good size for two people, and some view to the harbor. The hotel is located near a road, and some traffic noise could be heard in the evening, but we slept through it. The airsystem is good, so you can sleep with the window locked if necessary. The bathroom was warm and modern, and even had a little shelf in the shower to put your shampoo etc on, which you don't find in many hotels. The hotel has a restaurant which offers dinner in the afternoon/evening. The hotel had gotten full score from us, if it wasn't for the breakfast. Perhaps it's summertime and a lot of young untrained girls are working there, so it might not be this way normally. They ran out of a lot of stuff, and it never came more of it, and clearing the table ourselves isn't what you expect to do at a hotel.

Stayed for a short business trip during February 2015. This is a building with some history which makes a change from a bland modern hotel. I got a room high up in the roof which was clean and pleasant enough if a bit on the small and sparse side. The bathroom was dated, but clean and serviceable so nothing to complain about. However I noticed that the ventilation in the room was below average for Sweden (where it's usually given a lot of consideration) so it was a bit stuffy. Additionally, although air conditioning is not required in February, I noticed it didn't have it and I suspect it could be a bit stifling up there in the roof on a hot summer day. A very good Scandinavian breakfast buffet was included which I can't fault as it had a wide selection of good food. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the reception has a small selection of snacks/toiletries etc. to buy.

Small room, tiny and probably overpriced compared to any other hotel, just based on size. But breakfast was great as was the complimentary dinner if you joined the BW club. Small TV and the floorboards in the adjacent room creaked so loud I though whoever walking around was in my room. That said, same occupant banged the wall when I turned on the TV so there you go …

This is a nice, reasonably priced place situated in a cozy old building, but it was recently renovated and some of it is brand new. Because of this, the position of some of the rooms is a bit unconventional, but it's not a problem at all, since the staff is helpful and they'll let you know how to find your room. The interior is nice, clean and nearly as cozy as the building itself, albeit decorated in a lot more contemporary manner. Our room was quiet and comfortable, so I wouldn't worry about quality of sleep. There's plenty of room to park if you're traveling by car and the hotel is very easy to find. When it comes to breakfast, there's a lot of variety and all I tried was delicious. I would definitely stay here again, especially considering the price. Great value for money.
