« Average Best Western »

Staff here is extremely attentive and helpful. The motel is just average for a Best Western. A little off the beaten path if you are just stopping over from I-95. Didn't;t use the pool due t weather but it looked like a nice and clean. Discount offered for Flanigan's for dinner was nice.

« Our may trip »

Try not to stay on weekends. Rates go way up. Pet fee 25.00 PER NIGHT. The rooms and grounds are very nice, and staff was excellent. So so breakfast. The selection of breakfast items don't change, from day to day

« Clean and comfortable »

We did a last-minute trip to Florida in early April. We ended up in Stuart by accident and really liked the town. The Best Western there was an ideal place for a night. It's clean and comfortable, even when traveling with a toddler. The staff was lovely and friendly, provided great advise on what to see and when to go. We enjoyed our free breakfast (despite a toddler tantrum). We'll definitely be back to Stuart, and would happily stay in this Best Western.

« Great Hotel, convenient location for day trips »

Stayed for 4 nights having flown into Miami and deciding to visit a new area for us on the East Coast. We were not disappointed. Old Town Stuart is less than a mile away and plenty of shopping/food stores nearby. We were lucky with the weather and visited the beaches on 2 days which can be reached in about 15 minutes. The rooms were spacious and clean and well equipped. The breakfast was certainly one of the better ones we have experienced for a 3 star hotel in Florida, plenty of choice and friendly staff. The train noise nearby did not cause us any problems, we were in a ground floor room facing the pool which probably helped. All in all a great stay and we would recommend a stay and definitely return one day.

« Comfortable one night stay »

We stayed here one night as we were driving down the A1A towards the Keys. Great hotel with a nice breakfast area with the usual hot and cold items. Room was comfortable and clean. Stores and restaurants nearby. Parking was difficult when we first arrived but the lot was much less full later in the evening when we returned from dinner. There are trains closeby which woke up my husband although I slept through it.

« Great place to stay and great location »

Nicki helped me over the phone to make reservations for 3 rooms. When I met her, she was just as friendly and sweet as on the phone. Easy parking, great location close to downtown Stuart. Breakfast room was very clean. Dianne was there every morning, greeting everyone. Good food, Best Western's are better than most. Rooms were clean and it was nice to overlook the pool. Only a couple negatives.... Yes, you can hear the train, no elevators and a few cars in back parking lot without plates on them. Way more good than bad. Nice pool area. Housekeeping staff, all friendly, Barbara at front desk great too and the 2 guys that checked us in, couldn't have been nicer. We would stay there again. We used the washer and dryers, (one out of order) which was very convenient.(charge cards only)

« Nice hotel, centrally located »

Lots of amenities on site (pool, laundry, restaurant, lounge, fitness centre, etc). Good location near other amenities. Reception staff very professional at check-in and departure. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

« Great Hospitality »

I stopped at the Best Western overnight on my way south. I had only one day to visit Stuart, and the desk staff person made sure I had the best time possible. She explained places to see, gave me a map, marked places to park, and checked hours for museums. The room was immaculate. The pool area is very lovely. The breakfast was terrific: a wide choice of food; a nice greeting from the wait staff; and best of all--delicious real eggs. The hotel is easy to find. Although it's not really walking distance to downtown, it's only a few minutes away by car, and parking is easy to find.

« Excellent hotel, difficulty sleeping »

The employees here are excellent, very friendly and helpful at check in. The hotel itself was very clean, rooms large and roomy. Decent size TV, clean bathroom. Ample parking in the lot, no issues finding a spot of your choice, plenty of empty spaces (someone even had parked a large boat). Pool looked very clean and employees were right out there after a rainstorm clearing fallen leaves to make it look perfect again. Room had nice cold mini fridge, microwave, plenty of coffee and coffee cups. Shower hot, water pressure good. My only complaint was the persistent train that came by several times during the night/morning. I could not sleep through it though I tried. This obviously is not a fault of the hotel but made my night a little rough! Also the pillows here are very uncomfortable. I would have brought my own pillow if I had known. Easy drive to the waterfront restaurants and loved the town.

« Awesome hotel »

The two guys at the front desk last night were very helpful and very polite they were awesome. Room was very clean and fully stocked with everything I need. Yes you did hear the train but once I went to sleep I did not hear it again air condition work great Nice big TV in room all in all awesome experience definitely would stay here again

« Trying again to post a review »

I tried earlier to post a review but it hasn't been posted yet, so I thought I'd try again. I seldom slam a hotel, but this one deserves it because, at least the night I stayed there, it was a blatant ripoff. Picture a sad, on-the-highway, moldy-smelling room that sorely needs updating. Now picture having to pay nearly $300 for the night. I've stayed in several BW hotels around the country, and this one was the worst.

« Harley »

We cannot say enough good things about our stay here. All the employees were so friendly and helpful. Especially Diane and Terri in the breakfast room. You gals are the best!!.Breakfast was great- a good variety to chose from. The pool area is so pretty that it makes it hard to leave for the beach. The room was more than adequate for our needs and we stayed 6 nights. I read many of the reviews before we decided to stay here and they were very accurate. If we were to be in Stuart again, we would definitely stay here

« Weekend getaway »

Overall was a great hotel, very clean. Staff excellent. Pool area was nice. Breakfast was very good. Comfortable bed and good location. Only hiccup was a loud vibration noise coming from bathroom area from water heaters.

« Clean, quiet and friendly staff, great deal for the area »

Honestly if there was a Good rating that is what I would probably give this hotel, it is a bit better than average but certainly not in the very good category, not on my rating scale anyway. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms have been updated. They have a coffee maker and a refrigerator in the room. None of the rooms have a view of anything worthwhile, so any room will do, all of the inside row of rooms face the pool so if their are a lot of people in the pool (not my experience) you will hear them. Lighting is dismal and there weren't any plugs on the night stands in my room. The front desk will ask you if it's a problem but be aware that if your on the second floor and have a lot of luggage there are no elevators and no help. The hotel is close to breakfast joints, gas stations and main roads and bridges, it is in a decent commercial area and they serve a hot breakfast until 9AM I believe. I cannot comment on the breakfast as I had other plans one day and woke up too late to enjoy their breakfast on another day. Stuart hotel prices are, in my opinion, higher than average for other parts of Florida so you don't get the same quality accommodations that I have experienced in Orlando, Daytona, Delray, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, etc. for the same price we paid in Stuart. Having said all that and having seen the rooms at the Marriott, for example, at 60% more for a "similar" room, I must say that unless you plan on spending your stay in the room instead of enjoying the beaches you are better off in staying at the Best Western and using the savings at one of the many fine area restaurants.

Best Westerns are my go to hotels when I'm travelling and this one did not disappoint. The Downtown Stuart location may be my new favorite. Clean hotel all around, friendly staff, hot breakfast. Overall great experience.

« Stuart, FL - Best Western downtown »

Older motel nicely updated. Our room faced the courtyard which has a pool. It's located close to the train tracks and our sleep was interrupted by the noise from the train whistles as they went thru during the night. This did not make for a very good night's sleep. If you are used to noise in the night it probably would not bother you.

5
« best bang for your buck in Stuart »

Best deal, clean and coherent, don't let the older hotel exterior fool you. Great staff, great rooms in the center of town. Breakfast always good. Great pool. Drive up rooms. Lots of nearby restaurant's.

« Disappointing, but has merits »

My family rented a villa on Hobe Sound so we needed a few hotel rooms near by and I selected BW in Stuart. I had recently stayed in BW In Ellensburg, WA that was quite nice so I had high hopes for this one in Stuart. Let me say that their staff merits 5 stars for helpfulness and cheerfulness, both pre-visit with phone questions and during our stay. It also gets high marks for cleanliness. Sheets were fine, beds OK, but the carpets and other furnishings badly needed updating. Dowdy. Although the pool looked inviting, I found the water kept way too cold for comfort and skipped swimming. The quality of the free breakfast was mediocre, at best, so we ate out after first morning, which was disappointing. TV channels were far more limited than the package in WA. Another reviewer noted the noisy trains passing during the night; I slept through them but one person in my family had interrupted sleep so do ask for rooms with quietest locations. But it is well located; just keep expectations low.

5
« Short Break »

This is a great place to stay. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The free breakfast was great but the coffee was a little on the weaker side but other than that it was great. The bar area was enjoyable with a lot of people from all over the world mingling together. The girl behind the bar was great at her job. I would stay here again without hesitation.

3
« Watch out for the Train »

If you decide to stay request a room facing Federal Highway or ask which one do you hear the train the least. The train travels through that area at least 3 times a night and being a light sleeper believe you hear it.

« A very nice stay... »

This hotels goes out of their way to make your stay pleasant. They check on you are lovely people to work with, it's relatively quiet. Not a lot of gluten-free, sugar free choices at breakfast (we're very health conscious) but the breakfast was certainly adequate.

3
« Clean, friendly staff »

Nice place to stay, there is a friendly staff, there are clean rooms and the hot breakfast is really good with a lot of different options to choose from. The pool is really nice and well maintained***

« Nice find »

Stayed here last week for 1 night, its a lovely Hotel clean fresh rooms ,bar area that will stay open if there's customers, very friendly Bar staff.Buffet breakfast that was very nice and included in the price. 10 minute drive from the beach, there are plenty of Restaurants ,shops within walking distance, A special mention for the front desk who are all first class.

« BW Stuart is the best! »

This was the third time I went to Best Western Stuart. It won't be the last. The location is great. It is within walking distance of historic downtown Stuart. The breakfast is great. It is a hot buffet style breakfast with plenty of choices. Much more than a simple continental breakfast. In addition to the free WiFi they have computers with a printer to use. The pool was great also. I will be back again next year when I go to Stuart to see spring training baseball.

« comfortable stay but no wi-fi! »

We were travelling to Florida and booked a hotel thru a third party. There was a problem with this reservation and as a result, we had to cancel this initial reservation and had to find another place to stay. We decided to stay at the Best Western Downtown in Stuart, Florida. Check in was uneventful and the staff was very accommodating The room itself was very comfortable, clean and orderly. Upon check in, we received a free coupon for a drink at the bar up until 9P. The only problem with our stay was that despite a strong signal, we could not obtain internet access in our room. We called the front desk and they tried to troubleshoot the problem for us but they could not understand why we could not access the internet. If it had not been for this glitch, our stay would have been perfect. Despite this, I would recommend and return and hopefully on our next visit, internet access would not be a problem.

3
« Friendly and comfortable »

Great check in by Tom who gave us a discount when signing onto a Best Western membership. A large outdoor heated pool and a fitness centre with free Wifi, parking and breakfast. Came with microwave, fridge and 36? TV. No body lotion was the only thing missing. The free breakfast was awesome as was the coffee station. Good value so I rate it at 3.5 stars.

4
« Nice Clean Hotel »

Check in staff was very welcoming, pleasant and efficient and the hotel was clean and comfortable. There were two double beds in the room with ample pillows. The grounds were well maintained as was the pool area. Breakfast in the morning was adequate. Our overnight stay was enjoyable and I would visit this hotel again.

« Not Badd! »

I will get to the point.....a great in between hotel, good location, friendly staff and a satisfying breakfast.Would recommend this spot.Does need an elevator. Was bad on my knees...and a struggle with getting my luggage.

« satisfactory place »

We had to wait for our room to be ready but, they were very nice and apologetic about it....the pool was very cold so we did not use it which was disappointing......the rooms were clean so would stay again for a brief visit.. ...

« Best hotel in Stuart! »

As a frequent patron of Best Western hotels, my experience at the Best Western Downtown Stuart is among the best I have had at one of their properties. Upon stepping into the lobby, I was greeted by the jovial front desk staff and genuinely thanked for my status as a Best Western Rewards member. The room I was in was absolutely immaculate and I could tell the housekeeping staff truly take pride in their work. Additionally, the grounds of the entire hotel were kept neat and free of litter/debris. The hot breakfast buffet in the morning is in the top tier of any complimentary hotel breakfast. This is due in large part to the fantastic breakfast attendant who kept my coffee cup full and the food selection plentiful. Typically, I opt to skip the front desk in the morning and leave the keys in the room when I check out of a hotel. However, in this particular case I felt my superb guest experience should be shared with hotel management. The woman at the front desk was absolutely thrilled to hear of my experience and thanked me once again for being a Best Western Rewards member. I would advise anyone traveling to Stuart to stay here due to the unparalleled quality of the staff, breakfast, and rooms at this hotel.

« Comfortable sleep »

Car parking and check in were easy. We had a ground floor room overlooking the pool which was very comfortable and clean. The bed was huge! The shower is over the bath but the bath sides are low and there is a grab rail. Breakfast was good, make your own waffles or toast plus buffet with oats, scrambled eggs & sausage patties. Cereals, fruit juice and coffee or tea. Trains hooting were the only negative, but they weren't very frequent. Would stay again.

3
« OK, if you can sleep with train horns and loud guests »

We stayed at this hotel recently in a room on the rear of the property. What we did NOT know, and were NOT told is that this hotel is very near train tracks, and the trains LOUDLY blow their horns as they go by. If you are a light sleeper, I would suggest going elsewhere as the trains pass in the middle of the night at random times. The rooms were acceptable, but as another reviewer mentioned earlier, they are rather dated and not worth the $150/night price. I would stay here again, but would demand a room more towards the front of the property or in the courtyard which does not face the train tracks (more costly).

3
« Solid pit-stop, good staff - workin-man's hotel »

In town for work and needed a place to stay. There's not much in or around Stuart but this had good reviews so I booked it. It was adequate-plus if that makes sense and a bit of a road-side feel. Not a vacation spot but a decent-plus overnight stay. Staff = 4 (of 5) - professional, helpful, BUT blew off my concerns about a shoeless (it was 35-degrees out) crazy guy, talking to himself and rambling like he was on meth. Property = 3 - old bones with no major updates but you can tell the staff takes good care of what's there. Again, staff seems to care about property and guests (but afraid of the crazy guy for some reason?) Room = 2.5 - tile floor, walk-way level rooms, older furnishings, older bathrooms, just ... older. Clean and decent but not "nice" or "new" or "fresh" feeling. Again, clean and cared for, just older (like me). I'd definitely stay here again but wouldn't be excited about it. I guess the Hampton inns, etc. have raised the bar for business travelers.

« SHAME ON YOU »

Came down for a business trip for a couple of days and decided to stay at the Best Western. When I checked in, Adam was totally amazing, kind and helpful. My room was decent for a Motel 8! My breakfast was a plus! However, people were hanging outside being loud until 5am and nobody stopped anything. Finally, I was able to fall asleep around 5:30am and was immediately out of my rest due to LANDSCAPING! Landscaping early in the morning right outside my room? Went to my business meeting extremely exhausted. Second morning, here comes Landscaping again bright and early with their employees yelling very loud. I called the front desk to ask for a extra hour to check out because I didn't want to drive to the Orlando Airport tired. The clerk said no problem and would take care of it. She insured me that I would have until 12 noon to check out. I thanked her and proceeded to take a nap. At 11:10 housekeeping came and I let her know that they extended my stay until Noon. She said '' Okay, no problem!" Well, 15 minutes later the housekeeping SUPERVISOR came banging on the door. I opened it and told her the same thing I told the 1st housekeeping lady. I just decided to get up and get out of dodge and head towards the airport. Please tell me it isn't always this way! Please contact me at [email protected]

« Noisy Train at Night »

The title sums it up. This hotel is more like a motel upon first glance. When you enter, you can tell that they tried to make improvements. The lobby is nice- the rooms are decent. Housekeeping does a great job because the bathroom was clean from top the bottom. No mold issues or peeling paint or anything. The bed was a bit stiff and noisy. The overall decor of the room was outdated. This is a decent place to sleep if you're in town for a couple of nights. HOWEVER, there's is a train that comes barreling through around 3 or 4 am like clockwork each night. I was woken up every time. I didn't have to get up early the next day so I tried to brush it off and go back to sleep. If you're in town for business, that's would probably annoy you. Overall, it was decent. I'd actually return if nowhere else had vacancies.

« Once again.. A beautiful trip!!!! »

Came down for the holidays to see my daughter. Best Western made my trip successful and completely stress free. Breakfast was served hot buffet style with fresh eggs and great coffee. The housekeeping staff at this hotel is simply amazing. They checked on us daily and everything is super cleanly. I stayed in 129 and the view was what I expect to see when I come to FLORIDA! Norma took care of our toiletries whenever we'd ask. Check in was a breeze and completely professional. Nikki at front desk accommodated us with a late check out. Big bonus= Security at night plus a great rate. My favorite hotel in Stuart hands down!!!

3
« Nothing fancy »

Needed a place to lay my head for the night. The staff was professional and friendly. However, the room and bathroom could use more remodelling. The breakfast bar was the standard fare and the bar closed early for a weekend.

5
« Overall Good »

Room was clean. We spent a week and had plenty of room for the the three of us. My toddler had plenty of room to play. Airplanes are kind of loud at all hours. Will definately stay again. Breakfast was pretty good. Light over sink was kind of dark which made it hard to see to do makeup. Nonetheless, it was clean! Ill take it!

5
« Friendly, nice hotel with all the basic amenities »

This Best Western was everything we needed it to be: cleanly rooms, good basic amenities, and a friendly staff. The staff go out of their way to make sure your room is satisfactory, and the overall feeling of the hotel, including the lobby and outdoor pool, is relaxed and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location to get to downtown Stuart, Jensen Beach, or other destinations on the Treasure Coast.

4
« Very good and clean Hotel. »

Very nice hotel..Little bit outdated. Housekeeping staff excellent. Breakfast could be better.Great location. We stayed for 7 nights overall great experience. I would suggest my friends and family this hotel.Thank you!

« Very Nice Front Desk Staff »

Hotel was clean, staff was very helpful and the location was perfect. Many restaurants within walking distance to hotel. The hotel was approximately 5 miles from turnpike and the travel time getting to and from turnpike was quick. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers.

5
« Spur of the moment get away. »

Well maintained hotel, conveniently located and pet friendly. Beautiful lobby, large breakfast area and very nice pool area . Pet walk at rear of hotel. Two stories, no elevator. Outside corridors. I will stay there again.

4
« Oasis away from the water »

The hotel is not situated on the water, however the courtyard is an oasis from busy Rt 1 and surrounding commercial establishments with nice landscaping and pool. And it is a Best Western allowing value pricing so you can spend your money elsewhere or simply afford to visit Stuart. Also being where it is means you can find budget options for shopping and eating when you need to, but close enough to downtown and other things as well. The staff was helpful and the place was nice and clean and the room cleaning staff left it very nice for me. There are non-smoking rooms but the property is not non-smoking so there is smoking at the pool and outside the rooms. People complain about train noise and it was noticeable from my courtyard room but no worse the noise I've experienced in city hotels from NY to SF and it was mostly quiet.

5
« Excellent place to stay..... »

Great place to stay, very nice and clean.....good size rooms, comfy beds and pillows. Lots of restaurants nearby.....breakfast included, waffles, eggs, breads.....etc. Can't say a bad word about the place, will definitely stay there again.

3
« Sort of ok! »

There was a very pleasant young men on reception in the evening. He had black hair and wore glasses there was another person who was his assistant with brown hair a short man who didn't talk, or smile all he did was stand in reception and sneer. Very strange. As noted the other person was very nice. That's the good bit. Here's the rest.... There are lots of comments about the railway. Maybe the trains were not running last night but I didn't hear them. However the hotel is on the flight/landing path for the airport. The airport cannot be far away as the jets do scream over the hotel. Moving onto the room, after walking in there was a strange damp smell that stayed throughout the stay. They don't keep the pool area very clean there were dead coffee cups left on the tables by the pool with a lot of cigarette buts on the floor by the pool with empty cigarette packets on the floor. Which is a shame because even though the pool furniture is somewhat dated the area could be nice if they spruced it up and kept it clean. The bath water comes out yellow/green so if you don't mind looking like the Incredible Hulk after the bath fine, otherwise it's not very nice. Breakfast, the food was nice and fresh. It's the shame the staff apart from one lady were not more welcoming rather than wandering around looking at the tv and talking to themselves. This was most off putting. Why on Earth don't they put the coffee where the breakfast is as everyone coming in couldn't find it? Very strange. It proves people expect the coffee to be by the breakfast because everyone looked for it there and then gave up. It would save the waitress wandering around offering coffee. They give out a token for a free drink at the bar. Well what a miserable person the bar tender is. When I walked in he didn't say a word of welcoming. Rather he kept on talking to someone for 5 minutes and then wandered over to me and said ?what do you want? ? If the token is to entice customers into the bar to spend more it doesn't work as the bar man is so rude most customers will spend the free token and then leave like I did. In all, an ok place but they need to liven the rooms up as they are dead and put life into the place and clean the pool area. Remember there are other places in the area to stay and they are better.

« Very nice motel an location »

It was better than I expected, the location was perfect for us,,the motel was in very nice condition every thing was first class for a Best Western...I would recomend this motel to my friends who visit Stuart Fla.

« Very nice »

« Stuart Florida Hotel »

I booked two rooms for a short visit with family in Stuart. One room had to be ADA accessible and an easy walk from the parking lot. We were very pleased with the price and quality of the room. We were not happy that there was no connecting door between the ADA room and an adjacent room as we would have liked to easily assist our handicapped family member. Overall, a great value and stylishly updated hotel in Stuart.

« Budget motel, not safe »

The lobby/breakfast/pool were nice. The rooms are small and dated. Our room was not as clean as I would have liked it - toenail clippings on floor. The shower head was horrible- my choices were a spray that went out but no water in the middle or a dribbling of water just in the middle. Not a pleasant experience. My main issue was I did not feel safe in the room. The rooms open to the outside and during our stay, there were several groups of really loud people, using foul language, near our room, late at night. One night I was too scared to even call hotel management because I thought they would hear us. We ended up moving because of this. Also the walls are very thin and you can hear everything - including the maids vacuuming.

« Great property »

This is a great property with well appointed rooms. It appears that the property has undergone a recent renovation and has all the amenities needed. All the staff members I encountered were polite and professional. Centrally located in Stuart area. Great breakfast and many restaurants to choose from close by.

Only in town for one night and could have stayed anywhere but this hotel was our selection based on proximity to downtown. Plenty of parking close to your room. Pretty courtyard and pool area. Free Breakfast, too!

I am super picky and this is a place I would highly recommend. I have literally no complaints. From check-in, cleanliness, staff, room, grounds, everything was top notch. There is a train line close by but it was not an issue at all.

« Best Western Stuart Florida »

Hotel had nice guest rooms, a large heated pool with beautiful landscaping around pool deck. The breakfast bar had hot and cold item such as eggs, waffles, yogurt, cereals, juices, and coffee. The food was good and I would stay here again. The staff was very friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and the WiFi worked well. I had an Ada room with a roll in shower due to a disability and found the room and hotel to very good for a travel with a disability they even had a lift for the pool.

« clean and friendly »

Wasn't looking for a five star hotel. Was looking for: clean room, good shower, decent internet, friendly staff, good coffee and reasonable hot breakfast choices. Got all I needed plus a nice pool at a fair price. Would stay there again when in the area.Hotel was right on Route 1 with plenty of shopping and places to eat close by.

« Very Comfortable Stay »

The hotel has been recently remodeled and was very clean and updated. The breakfast bar was well maintained with plenty of food choices. Overall, a very comfortable stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place in the Stuart area.

« Best Western as expected »

Clean, good value hotel a mile or so from Downtown Stuart. All was as expected for a hotel in this price class in Florida. Only used the seating around the good sized pool so can not comment on the pool itself, but all looked clean and tidy. Room was clean and the bed (King) comfortable.

« Great place. »

This was a very convenient location to the many sites we needed. It was clean and comfortable and had a mini frig in the room. Great rate thru AARP. We would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

« Good place to stay. »

Stay at this hotel was pretty good. There was lots of amenities in the rooms. Coffee, Tea and even an iron with a board. Breakfast is included and came with the usual eggs, toast, jelly bread and bagel. You can make your own waffles. There is a swimming pool and only two floors. You have to request your room to be cleaned as this was a drawback. Beds were comfortable with air condition. Rooms were also very clean and had a very good cable with HBO etc. Free wifi that was pretty fast and dependable on multiple devices in the room.

We were impressed with the cleanliness of this older property. Staff were friendly. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Beautiful pool area and landscaping. Breakfast was delicious! Next time we will ask for a first level room since they don't have elevators.

« Clean and Convenient »

Great staff, very comfortable bed. Had a courtyard room nice to be able to walk right out to pool. Had breakfast by the pool each morning. Room was extremely clean, bathroom appeard as if was recently redone. Breakfast was ok, nothing great. Oatmeal was like glue but make your own waffles were great. All staff were pleasant and helpful. Will stay again when visiting Stuart, Fl.

« Just ok »

The check in was good. Early check in was allowed and very much appreciated. The food and Bev was just ok as was the room. Big party next door and we had a noisy room over looking the parking lot. No good. We had emergency and had to leave a day early and were told by hotel manager no refund even though they could easily sell the room. Manager couldn't be bothered to help. We won't be back.

This was very nice, well equipped small hotel. Everything worked well, was clean, and reasonable. The location was very convenient to shopping. Not too close to the beaches though. Probably not ideal for a beach vacation

« Best Western Downtown Stuart »

the hotel was very nice and the rooms were large and comfortable. I would stay here again if I needed to be in that area. We were there due to a medical procedure scheduled for the next day. My husband had no problem sleeping. I was awakened several times by the noise of the train. The pool area is beautiful and quite enjoyable.

« Nicely Updated Older Building »

Building is classic 1970's motel design. Has been very nicely updated. Clean, well maintained property. Great value and convenient to the downtown and marinas. Nice lobby and fitness facility. Comparable to Marriot quality but much less expensive.

« GREAT ROOM,GREAT STAFF, GREAT STAY. »

We booked a room last minute and to our suprise we got an awesome rate. Staff was friendly, caring and extremely helpful. Check in was quick easy and we recieved a poolside room upon request. We enjoyed great relaxing time with our family by the pool. Breakfast was delicious and filling. we will use this hotel each time we are in stuart.

« Very noisy trainline »

This hotel is right next to a busy train line and does not make any efforts to sound proof their rooms. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast is of low quality. The room was very clean. If you have ear plugs and low expectations of breakfast you will be fine.

« Best Western Review »

« Fair Hotel for the money »

I had a coupon and paid $69. for a single room. Internet and breakfast were included. Room was dated. There were some minor issues: not enough towels, peeling paint in bathroom, and falling apart tissue holder. Breakfast was the same each day (eggs, sausage, waffles, and/or oatmeal). There was fresh fruit and yogurt available. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location was good.

« Very Nice Hotel, Just One Minor Noise Problem »

The room was clean and well-decorated, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was very tasty, overall a great value. My experience at Best Western was just as good as we have had at the pricier Hampton Inn. Only problem was, when all other noise sources (A/C mostly) were off, the refrigerator made a tapping noise that kept me awake for an hour or two. There is a train that passes by during the night, but it was not a problem for me.

« Very friendly staff, clean facility!! »

After shocking, gross experience across the street, it was very nice to check into this hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Spent three nights. Good breakfast. Clean rooms. Nice pool area. Would return again.

« Great hotel »

Our stay was surprisingly pleasant. We have stayed at other hotels and were disappointed. We will stay at a Best Western on our next vacation. It was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was great. Staff was very helpful.

« Weekend Fishing Trip »

This is my favorite hotel in Stuart. The staff is very friendly. As soon as I walk in I am greeted with a smile. The rooms are always very clean and fresh. They have all the amenities you need: fridge with a freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. Internet was fast and easy to use. Breakfast is always amazing. The attendant Terry keeps your coffee mug filled to the top. There were a lot of hot items so everyday I got to eat something different. I was glad they had Soy milk as an option. Special thanks to Scott for letting me rinse my boat daily after night fishing. He would have the hose ready by the hotel's maintenance shop to help me clean salt off my boat!

« Clean & Convenient at a Great Value »

Stayed here for 3 nights with the family for our son's swim meet so we needed someplace clean, conveniently located near the swim meet, and someplace where we could get some sleep since we had to be up very early every morning. At check in, the staff was very nice and polite. Our room faced the pool which I thought would be a problem but it was not. The hotel staff strictly enforced the pool hours which allowed for some good sleep every night. The room was on the smaller side and very clean. The beds were full size (not queen) which we knew when we booked the room - they were comfortable and just right. The grounds were kept very clean. The breakfast buffet was good - they had waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, onions and peppers, cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, yogurt, juice, coffee & tea. The hotel was conveniently located near all types of restaurants and shops. Great location, great value. Will come back,

« Don't waste your money »

Might as well have slept in my pickup. The bed was made up with a bunch of small pillows. Couldn't keep your head on one. Impossible to get comfortable. Bed made up with heavy comforter with a heavy blanket in it. Ok for winter up north but for summer in FL... STUPID. Either sweat under comforter or hardly nothing to cover with. Really a bad night.

« Clean, comfortable, convenient »

We booked last minute on Hotwire and got a room for $67 a night. It was well worth it. At first I was skeptical, since it backs up to an industrial area that looks a little sketchy, and the outside of the building looks a little dated, but inside the room was newly redone and the staff is friendly and helpful. The pool area is very cute and very well maintained. Our room included a mini-fridge and microwave. The hotel also has laundry facilities. We ate at the hotel breakfast daily. They had the usual hotel fare, but still kept clean and well-stocked. The coffee was weak and there was little fresh items (fruit) but there is a Starbucks down the street and I picked up some fruit bowls from Publix to keep in the fridge. Our room was cleaned well and promptly, since I came back for naps with the kids, even with all the sand we trekked in from the beach! You can hear the train at night, but I think that comes with staying in the area, and it didn't keep me awake. The pool was lively, but the hotel was quiet each night by 10 pm. We had a comfortable stay and we would stay here again.

« Exceptional Service »

This best western has the most friendly staff in my opinion. They are always really helpful and caring. They never make you feel like you're bothering them. The breakfast here is good!! I feel like the rooms and beds could use some upgrading but for the price of this hotel it's worth it!

« CLEAN and CLEAN and COMFORTABLE !!! »

I stayed four nights at this Best Western and was extremely pleased with everything about the place! I must admit that normally I do not like to stay at hotels with doors that open to a parking lot, however this Best Western turned my thoughts around completely. It is an older hotel that has been given beautiful facelift. As I entered the lobby to check in I could not believe how clean everything was! Check in was quick and easy. When I entered the room I found it to be spotlessly clean! The towels were thick and in plenty supply. The King Size bed was very comfortable. The room had a large dorm size refrigaerator with a little freezer section. It was not the typical box size dorm size refrigator you get at most hotels. The outdoor pool area was very attractive and the pool appeared to be very clean. The offered free breakfast in the morning. It was good and had a nice selection. The only thing I wish thy had was more fruit, but other than that everything else was good. The thing I really liked about their breakfast was they served it in their restuarnt that was very clean; not in the cramped lobby areas as so many hotels do. The breakfast attendant even walked around offering more coffee to people and was quick to clean the tables. The hotel did offer a small bar however we did not use it during our stay. Every employee we met was very nice and helpful. You can quickly drive to the downtown Stuart area or easily walk if you would like. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again on my next visit to Stuart.

The Stuart Best Western is convienently situated, if you are a beach goer. It makes it easy to get to Jensen Beach and Hutchenson Island. The hotel is nicely updated and very clean. The staff is friendly and accommodatin. The breakfast hours are reasonable and the variety of the breakfast items are good.

« Nice Pet friendly Hotel »

We stayed at this hotel for one night and brought our 2 dogs. We arrived at the hotel around 3:00. The check in time was at 4:00 so the room that was reserved for us was not ready yet. The 2 gentleman at the front desk found us another pet friendly room that was ready so that we could go to our room right away. They were very friendly. They asked about our dogs and gave us treats for them. Then, they gave us a list of dog friendly restaurants in the area. This saved me time trying to find places to go to so I appreciated that very much. The room was very clean and it had tile floors which was perfect for the dogs. We could hear some noise from a train passing by while we were in our room but I know this cannot be changed. The hotel has a free breakfast but we could not go to it with our dogs because only service dogs are allowed in there. The hotel had several stores and restaurants very close by. Overall, I think it was a nice place to stay with our pets.

« Friendly and fun »

I did not have high hopes for my stay here but absolutely loved it. The staff is very friendly- from the front desk to the breakfast help. Breakfast was what one would expect - eggs and sausage but that is fine. The rooms surround a courtyard pool that brings back memories of how it used to be when we travelled. They have a fun sort of retro bar - I enjoyed my stay so much if I return I will definitely be back. I moved to this hotel from another hotel - the Hampton which was dirt loud and unfriendly.

« 2nd Stay was a nightmare.... »

The hotel itself is fine. The staff and how they treat people leave something to be desired. I am a Diamond Elite member at Best Western. I just got off the phone with their sales director as I have been waiting 2 weeks for points from my stay to post. I received points for my stay last year at this hotel booking under a group. Was just told by Barbara that my stay did not qualify for points because it was booked under a group. I inquired as to why I was not told that when the group was blocked by myself. She told me she didn't know. That's the answer I get. I brought in 2 teams booking 20 rooms and I can't get points for the room that I booked for myself and can't get a clear explanation as to why either. In addition the night security guard at this hotel needs to go get a job working detail at Walmart. I have never stayed at a hotel where you are not allowed to gather in any common area of the property after 10pm on a Saturday night. Wen are talking about an adult group of 7 people, not teenagers, or kids. I will never return and will definitely not recommend that any other groups book there. Made my experience pretty bad and top it off with not getting points.....customer service is awful there.

« Great Stay and Great Service! »

I decided to stay in Stuart, Florida since it was named one of the top cities to visit in Florida. After studying the hotels online, my wife and I chose the Best Western Downtown Stuart. We were very thankful that the reviews were spot on. The hotel has been renovated recently. The rooms were nicely decorated and fresh. The housekeeping staff at this hotel is amazing. Our room was super clean and had extra tea and coffee once they saw we were utilizing it. The hotel room included a nice size flat screen TV, single serve coffee maker, refrigerator with freezer, and a hair dryer. Our hotel room faced the pool and it was super quite. The beds and pillows were new and very much comfortable. The pool and sundeck area were maintained very well. There are also areas were you can sit and enjoy breakfast outside daily. The breakfast was complimentary and include several hot items such as: biscuits and gravy, sausage, pancakes, waffles, and real scramble eggs! The Best part of the Best Western is the staff. You can't walk five feet without a staff member smiling and asking if they can help you. This hotel is ran very well from the top to the bottom and it shows in how the staff interacts with guests daily. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to enjoy a stay in Stuart, Florida.

« Clean, comfortable rooms »

If you're looking for a clean, comfortable place to lay down your head, then the Best Western Downtown Stuart is great. There isn't a whole lot to do there otherwise. The Pool is alright, water is warm and there was a bit of debris (leaves, grass, bugs), but it's not set for lap swimming--there was a rope dividing the pool in half, so I didn't use it, although I would have loved to. I ended up walking to the tiki bar across the street one evening for drinks, since the bar in the hotel seemed to be closed (no bartender or patrons).

1
« 10pm curfew for everyone! »

Don't stay here unless you plan to be in bed by 10pm every night because there is no common area outside or inside at all where you are allowed to hang out past 10pm. Especially a poor selection for groups who would like to enjoy each other's company past 10pm. Don't assume I mean just rowdy kids, I mean parents, 40 years old plus, are not allowed to sit and talk anywhere outside rooms past 10pm.

5
« Excellent stay »

« Nice night »

Went there for a weekend get away with my hubby. We live in Juno beach but needed a brake from the kids! Staff was nice, the room was clean and bed was comfortable. the only comment I would have is I wish that there were soundproof windows because we heard the train and kids screaming in the pool and in the hallways. Glad the front desk moved us to inside room or I am afraid the train noise would of not been pleasant.

« Pet friendly hotel is appreciated »

We traveled to see our new grandson and took our Boxer, Gypsy, with us. Best Western only charges $20/night extra for her. At check-in we were given a first floor room on the inside facing the pool. The floors in our room were tile instead of carpeting - smart! There's a designated pet area with plastic bags provided. It's an older building and all rooms open to the outside, but it's maintained well. Breakfast was typical and the eating area was very large and comfortable. Gypsy couldn't be left alone in the room (their rules) so the first morning my husband and I ate separately. But after that we ate on the patio and secured the dog's leash to our chair leg. There were quite a few dogs there and many guests stopped to pet ours. Every staff member was courteous and friendly; even those just passing by greeted everyone. I used the pool once - it's big but water was still pretty cool in April. Our room had 2 double beds that were very comfortable. Who came up with square pillows? The TV got many channels but NOT A&E that has PD LIVE on Fri and Sat nights. We think our room was more for handicapped as the sink was very low. The shower had a good pressure and the towels were a little thin. This hotel had a bar and you could order food from your room. Don't know if it was then delivered from a neighboring restaurant. We stayed here 4 nights and will definitely stay here again even if we don't bring Gypsy.

« A good stay »

« Vacation in Stuart »

This is an older hotel, but it is in very good shape and well taken care of. The price is very reasonable and it is located near old town Stuart area. The TV was a large fat screen Samsung, but the picture was a little blurry. The room was very clean, but needed updated some. The electrical probably needs up for USB ports etc like newer hotel. Too many power strip in our room (2 with multi things plugged into them) behind bed and TV cabinet. Overall, happy with our stay.

The rooms smell great, even the pet rooms when I bring my cat! The breakfast are inviting, and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. My favorite motel in Stuart! The pool area and landscaping is as nice as any tropical paradise, and I love the old fashioned park in front of your room. Absolutely no safety worries at this downtown location, ever.

« SO much better than expected »

We visit family in Stuart several times a year and have rented hotels and condos as well. This was for a 4 night trip and we were within walking distance to downtown which was great for walking, dining, shopping and were just a few miles from our family we were visiting. The hotel itself was extremely clean and fresh. So refreshing to go to a place without carpet on the floor! Just seems/smells/is cleaner! The staff was also accommodative and very nice.

« Once again an excellent time! »

This was my second visit at Best Western Stuart. Once again it was great. Adam and Nikki were very helpful. This time I went in the pool. The room was great. Trains were not a problem because I requested a room away from the trains. The breakfast was the best. In addition to the Wi-Fi they also have computers with a printer. When I go back to Stuart I will go to Best Western again.

« Pleasantly surprised »

We chose to stay at this Best Western because of a coupon offer picked up at an I95 rest stop. It was NOT the least expensive motel advertised. The front of this motel was pretty average, but once inside it was more attractive than we expected. The lobby, the breakfast area and the pool area were all inviting. Our room was well appointed, comfortable and clean. Our only disappointment was that the desk clerk said no non smoking rooms were available at the coupon rate. We ended up paying $10 more for the night, and were satisfied that we did, but it felt a little like bait and switch. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful and the breakfast offerings were above average. I would stay there again.

« Thanksgiving »

The motel was clean and the staff very pleasant. The trains keep us up all night, however. I am sure there is nothing the hotels in the area can do about this, but if enough people complain, maybe the city can restrict the horns between 10 pm and 6 am.

« Happy Thanksgiving in Stuart! »

Very nice find on Thanksgiving! Adam and Tom at front desk made check in very easy; the cookies were a nice touch. Property is beautiful. Staff does a great job of maintaining this hotel. Rooms are newly renovated. Breakfast is great and includes many hot items such as waffles, pancakes, real eggs, biscuits, oatmeal, and sausage. Hotel has a very large pool area and sunbathing area. If you are in Stuart, this is a great hotel with a great staff!

The Best Western was very accommodating since we had to change hotels. The staff was incredibly friendly. This is an older motel from probably the late 60's or early 70's, just guessing. Has been kept updated and is clean. The breakfast was what you would normally get, except they had real eggs instead of the fake ones. THANK YOU.

« Assistance during stay »

I stayed at Stuart Best Western last week several days and had a very pleasant experience dealing with Nikki at the front desk. She was extremely helpful, professional and pleasant. I kept losing my room keys and she was so patient every time to give me new ones with a smile, and just overall assisted me with anything I needed. She is exemplary what someone in her role should be!

Great place! Extremely friendly front desk staff, both check in and out. Beautiful grounds, lovely, peaceful pool and patio area. Room clean, linens fresh. Only reason didn't give it a 5 was the bartender/waiter was not at all friendly, not a smile, not a word. Maybe he was just having a bad day.

« BW Stuart,Fl »

The hotel is fairly well located, but a Long walk to the cute downtown. Check-in was a pleasant surprise by a very pleasant, professional young man who assured me all the rooms had been renovated.. I'd recommend booking the pool view /courtyard rooms as it's a large grassy area w/ mature landscaping and an inviting large pool w/ handicap facilities . Room had a mini fridge & mini micro & mini coffee maker. You could tell the room had new flooring, minimal decor & a very clean tub/shower. Nothing luxurious about the room, but the ac worked well & the curtains kept out the light. Was able to sign on to the wifi after a frustrating 10 min, the 2nd & 3rd nights couldn't log in at all. The 1st night the TV did not receive the normal ABC<NBC>local channels. It was fixed the next day. Overall a very good value. As I've discovered w/ many BW, the pillows were terrible, bring your own.

« Room 207, Trains »

My wife and I have been staying at this property frequently over the last several years and have always reviewed it positively. The property has been renovated and this stay we were in one of the newer rooms on the 2nd floor pool side (note no elevators) They have a great pool too! We tried to get a coupon rate but no rooms were available, however they gave us a rate better than AAA or any of the other discounts. Everything was going great until 2:53 AM when the Train Horns started. If you have ever been to Stuart before, the only track North and South goes through Stuart because it needs to cross the Waterway and the rail road bridge closes. I asked this morning why the Train Horns since we have never heard them before, I mean for the last several years! We were told that because there were some accidents or issues at crossings that now the train must blow their horns. Most of this track is for freight and they move the freight at night so as not to slow traffic at the intersections during the day. Any way we were there for 2 nights and the Trains were the same each night. It starts about 2:30 AM and then about every 1/2 hour.. Another thing about our room was the AC. It is plenty cold however it shuts off after it reaches temperature and then comes back on. This was disturbing. We wee told that it can be set at a certain number and the fan would run continuously but we never found that number. Setting it at 60 and sleeping with blankets did not help. Don't think this is a defect but just information. Breakfast was a non event, other breakfasts at other Best Westerns are a lot nicer. Waffles, Bagels and Toast, Oatmeal, biscuits sausage gravy. Scrambled eggs and sausage. Hard cooked eggs yogurt and cold cereal were offered. Thats it. Oh and weak coffee. This was a nice property and there is also one across the street. Since the change of the Train procedure we will not be going back.

Hotel staff is very kind and helpful. I booked a room with 2 beds intially but then decided I would rather have a king since my brother missed his flight. Tom at the front desk said no problem and moved me poolside to a king. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and pillows. I was thankful it had a fridge so I could store my lunch and dinner. Hotel had a nice quaint bar with a variety of beers on tap. I enjoyed sitting at the pool watching the scuba classes. Breakfast was the best part of this hotel. I stayed a week and never got tired of going down to get breakfast. The breakfast had waffles, pankakes, egg sandwhiches, hash browns, and much more.

« Excellent stay due to a fonaminal staff! »

My family stayed at the Best Western Stuart during Hurricane Matthew. It was one of the few hotels in town that was open. The hotel staff made all guests feel welcome and addressed all our needs during a scary time. They offered extended hours for breakfast, lunch, and dinner since the rest of the city had no power. The entire staff was available 24/7 before and days after the storm. The staff really excels in customer service so much so that they delivered bottles of water and hot cookies to guests hours before the hurricane hit. Front desk agents at this hotel kept our spirits up with big smiles all week. Thank you Nikki, Adam, Barbara, Tom, and Nemish. The rooms were nicely decorated with a nice modern feel. The housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning our rooms . The room had plenty of coffee and tea that went into a single serve machine. We loved this option because each batch was fresh. The bathrooms had plenty of room with nice tub and shower. The pool looked great but we did not use it. If you stay or pass thru Stuart this hotel is a must.

« BEST WESTERN IN STUART, FL - ROCKS!! »

We stayed at Best Western because of Hurricane Matthew and a mandatory evacuation. The staff was so helpful and polite even though they were very busy. We had several members of our family in town to attend a memorial and they were so understanding our added stress due to the storm. They graciously allowed us to eat the food we brought with us, as their restaurant was, understandably closed. We put several tables together and played Dominoes which help us to forget our predicament for a while. The Motel is older, but it is kept up and the rooms were clean and comfortable and we felt very safe as it has been through a few Hurricanes. I would not hesitate to recommend this motel to anyone. Couldn't use it, but the pool area is nice and the pool looked very inviting! Nancy T.

This hotel is located in a central part of Stuart. The hotel is located around a lot of shopping and offered a discount on drinks during happy hour at the hotel bar. The staff was helpful with directions.

« Great Stay! »

Enjoyed staying at the Best Western Downtown Stuart during my daughters swim meet. The hotel is nicely renovated with comfortable guest rooms and common areas. The kids loved hanging out at the pool during our off time. The staff at this hotel is excellent. Each member goes out of their way to make sure guests are comfortable. The breakfast was from 6:30 to 9:30 AM. However, the hotel staff opened breakfast at 4:30 AM for our kids so they could get to the swim meet early. Thank you Terry! Very close to Downtown Stuart which has tons of places to eat.

« Great stay for a large group »

My family and I were very happy with the excellent treatment the staff provided throughout our stay. The Direct of Sales was very helpful. She answered my emails in a timely manner when setting up the group reservation, always available when needed, help with early check in for guests that flew in early. The housekeeping staff were AWESOME too!!! The breakfast provided was a bonus!!! Pros: - Excellent staff - Clean premises, pool and rooms. - Great location. About a 10 minutes drive to Stuart Beach, good amount of restaurants near-by to choose from and a variety of store/shopping center to go to. - Complimentary breakfast - Free Wifi - Reasonable price Cons: - Sound of the train (If you're a light sleeper this may be annoying at first. To me it felt like it was happening every hr on the hr) - Tight squeeze around the shower/toilet area. Maybe a sliding door or having the door open outward instead of inside would help optimize the space. But having the sink/vanity area separate is good. - Beds a bit uncomfortable but not unbearable - A/C system loud

« Great stay »

Enjoyed our stay, service was fantastic, room was clean, recently remodeled. Pool and pool area was clean, well maintained. Only improvements, bar needs more stocked liquor and food was only ok. However, overall hotel is A. Will stay again.

« Nice Pool! »

Hotel is set up like a resort. The rooms surround the pool and patio area. The pool is really nice and its open until 10 PM for night swimming. It was definitely the highlight of my evening after work. The hotel has a bar that allows you to purchase drinks to take to the pool. The internet was fast which allowed me to work poolside. Really appreciate maintenance giving me air for a flat tire in my rental.

« Great Pet Friendly Hotel! »

My dog is the most important member of our family when we travel. The Best Western Downtown Stuart is a great pet friendly hotel. The pet friendly room we were given didn't smell like a dog upon check-in. We travel with our dog all the time and end up in pet friendly rooms that smell like urine all the time. This hotel however, has hard wood floors in the pet friendly rooms which keeps a fresh smell in the room. We stayed 4 nights and I noticed that my housekeeper would also steam my floors daily. The hotel staff at this hotel is amazing. The housekeepers make sure you are taken care of daily. The hotel pool is huge and has a great dog friendly area adjacent to it. The breakfast buffet had a lot of items on it daily. We had free internet in the room and there is a great business center in the lobby which allows you to print boarding passes for free.

« Great Nights Sleep »

Stopped in Stuart, FL on my way to Orlando for our Disney Cruise. Best Western Stuart had new beds and pillows which made for a great nights rest. The hotel room was nicely designed and was very clean. Breakfast in the morning was great since it had a ton of items like sausage, waffles, pancakes, and eggs. The staff was very kind and printed directions to Orlando for us. We will be staying at this hotel on the way back home!

« Excellent Service and Breakfast »

Decided to stay at the Best Western last minute based on the great reviews. The hotel is newly remodeled with wonderful rooms with free internet, micro-fridge, coffee, and beautiful view of the pool. The hotel staff is very friendly and made the check-in/check-out process simple and easy. Adam and Pat gave us excellent places to eat in the evening that were within walking distance. Terri at breakfast was excellent. She literally makes sure each guest feels welcome and has enough to eat and drink. She also helped my husband get his pancake and waffle made. I highly recommend this hotel if your looking to come to Stuart to rest and relax!

« Great food »

Good food. Staff should do more to promote restaurant. Drink prices are outrageous, but the menu pricing is normal. Plenty of restaurants and grocers within walking distance. Great beach. Nice rooms and courtyard. Reasonable room prices. Nice dining atmosphere for breakfast. Plenty of room in dining area. Nice bar.

« Great customer service, room was clean but room for improvement »

We had the pleasure of dealing with both Tom and Adam and both were friendly and courteous! If this review was based on Barbara alone, we would have given 5 stars!! Barbara should be the manager as she is efficient, personable and knows how to get something done! Barbara was able to get us into our room early and also tracked down the makeup mirror I had left. She did everything she said she would do! The room itself was nice and neat and had been cleaned well. The chairs in the room were dirty to the point that I didn't want to sit in them ( the fabric, not the housekeeping). Even though we left our room at 8:30 AM and did not return until 6:30 PM, our room was never cleaned (no, we did not have our "do not disturb" sign on the door). W were able to get clean towels at the office. The burgers in the bar area were delicious although we felt that the bartender who was talking to the only other patron was not happy that we were ordering food (He actually has to go in the back and cook). The free breakfast was nice and the women who replenishes the food was very pleasant. The outlying area is a bit rough and the building is old and outdated. We cut our stay short.

« Nice, clean hotel in central location »

We booked this hotel on-line because the glowing reviews by previous guests and were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed at how clean and well-kept the Best Western in Downtown Stuart, FLA is; even the parking lot was newly surfaced. Our room was non-smoking and facing the beautiful pool area (one of the nicest we have seen for a long time). The room must have been updated recently because the decor was fresh and modern and done in tasteful colours. There is definitely "pride of ownership" showing here and the owner(s) should be commended. We are now getting ready to hit the trail, but before doing so, we are heading for our "included" breakfast which I am sure will be as good as the room and the rest of the property. Usually, I don't recommend hotels such as this for a vacation, but I think that in this case, because if its higher standard, it could be a nice vacation stopover. Thanks for a good night's sleep - we will definitely be back.

« Great Visit to Stuart »

Visited Stuart, FL in the month of July. The weather was great and the hotel was even better. The hotel staff was very friendly at check-in and housekeeping went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The Best Western has the best pool and courtyard area I have seen. It reminded me and my wife of our family summer vacations when we were children. Their was plenty of space for the kids to run around and for us to lay out by the pool. The rooms were very nice. We had a micro-fridge and free internet. Breakfast in the morning was a added bonus. There is a huge set up with tons of items. We can't wait to come back to Stuart next year and we are definitely staying at the Best Western Downtown Stuart. :)

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in Stuart. We have enjoyed our stay here very much. Close to everything as far as shopping & dining. Always quiet when we are here. Outside of the rooms being just a tiny bit smaller than other BW hotel we stay at, we have enjoyed our stay here

« Nice stay »

We've stayed here once before while visiting this area. We had a pleasant stay. Really nice breakfast. Rooms are clean and comfy. My husband took a shower the morning we left and the tub filled up and would drain. We told the desk when we checked out. It wasn't a big deal. It's a hotel, those things happen. We were a couple of miles away before we realized we left with the room cards. My husband called and they said it was fine, the cards were disposable and had already been deactivated and we could just throw then away.

Recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. It was conveniently located next to the historic part of downtown Stuart which is why we chose stay here. It has an amazing breakfast buffet which included fresh scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and fresh oatmeal. My husband loved laying out by the pool. It was so relaxing. We were able to get a room on the courtyard which made it easy to go back and forth. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Stuart.

My stay here was awesome. The beds were super comfy and I even loved the pillows so much they let me purchase a new one from them. My housekeeper was amazing. « 5 stars »

Moved to this hotel after staying at the one down the street and having a horrible experience. This hotel is much nicer and way cleaner. The staff is actually nice and makes you feel welcomed and they offer a 24 hour business center which is something that I look for when traveling. The breakfast was better than I expected and they even had coffee 24/7 in the lobby. Overall I would definitely give this hotel 5 stars.

5
« Clean Rooms »

I live locally but every so often it's nice to get away and rent a room for the night. I have stayed at all the hotels in the area and this one is by far the cleanest. The rooms are always spotless and the housekeeping staff is one of the nicest I've met. I love this hotel and you cant beat the price.

« Enjoyable stay »

Last time I stayed at this hotel it was a holiday inn. It has definitely come a long way since then. The hotel looks completely renovated and they even upgraded their whole breakfast selection. When I arrived the staff was very friendly and they were able to move me to a first floor since I don't do stairs to well. The rooms were clean and you could tell they were recently re done. The owner has done a very nice job of fixing the place up.

« Recent Stay »

Recently my husband and I traveled to Stuart to go to a wedding. We had stayed at best westerns before and decided to use some of the points we have earned. Once we had arrived Barbara at the desk was very nice and even offered to send someone over to help with our luggage. We only stayed 1 night but the hotel was beautiful and the rooms were clean. We will be traveling back to Stuart mid October and will definitely be returning to this location.

5
« Pet Friendly Hotel »

Whenever i travel i always bring my dog with me and it seems nowadays it is getting harder and harder to find a hotel willing to allow pets. I had checked out a few others in the area and they all wanted $75 as a pet fee for 1 night! That was ridiculous so i called Best Western and not only do they have pet friendly rooms but it is only $20. The room was also very convenient considering it had tile. I enjoyed my stay and will be recommending this hotel.

« I love this hotel »

Every time I come to Stuart I always stay at this best western. The rooms are always extremely clean and the staff is top notch. The breakfast is better than the usual I've come across considering it has fresh scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy. My favorite thing is the business center they have down by the front desk. I usually am traveling on business and it is very helpful to be able to have computer and printing access.

« Quick and easy »

Just needed a room to rest up for the night before driving back home. Check in was quick and easy, got in to my room in 5 minutes. One of the only hotels still accepting cash as a payment. Room was clean and breakfast was good. Didn't really get to enjoy much else. Price was reasonable.

5
« Courtyard view »

Upon arriving at the hotel we were informed that we had been placed in a smoking room along the parking lot side by the company we booked through. For only 10 dollars more they allowed me a upgrade to non smoking and even gave me a poolside view at no extra charge. I have to say if I would have got stuck in smoking I would not have enjoyed my trip as much but the front desk was awesome and placed me in a smoke free room with a gorgeous view. I Will be sure to book through hotel directly next time and will be sure to stay again in the future.

My room was very clean and I also had the pleasure of meeting Lexi who is one of the housekeeping supervisors. She was very nice and was very helpful. The breakfast was one of the better ones I have seen and Terri is wonderful. She was always there with fresh coffee. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

we have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past month while house hunting. Great location, rooms are clean and have great A/C and a fridge. Pool is huge with plenty of lounge chairs. Parking is easy, they even have a small bar and grill open in the evenings. Staff is always nice. Rooms are very quiet and location is perfect for visiting the area. I'm not a big breakfast eater but they do have a good variety of fresh made food.

Had to stay in Stuart for a week. Very fortunate my company chose Best Western Stuart. My room was very comfortable and clean. After a long day at the office, I enjoyed grabbing a drink from bar and sitting at the pool. Breakfast lady Terry was great. Always kept my coffee cup full. I appreciated that the hotel used ceramic coffee mugs for breakfast vs paper cups. Staff was very friendly at front desk. « "Worst Western" »

My wife and I (and my two rabbits) stayed here the weekend of an air show that we were attending. The hotel was packed, as were the others in town. We checked in somewhere just before midnight on 30-October, Friday, and the front desk clerk was compulsively picking away at his facial acne as he spoke with me. I was so grossed out, that I wanted to walk out, but all other hotels were full. I also cringed at the thought of him handling my cards and papers, but had no choice. And then the woman who relieved him at midnight came on, and she wasn't too friendly. Finally, about after an hour of them trying to run my card; they finally gave us a room. There were no elevators and every item had to brought up the stairs. The whole layout of the place was crazy, and there was construction everywhere. I'll never stay there again, unless they greatly improve their staff and facilities. Two rabbit ears down!! (\\ (\\ ( -.-) o_(")(")

Our team was in town for a marketing meeting. Adam upgraded me to a junior suite. The room was very clean and spacious. The housekeeper did an excellent job. She saw I was using the green tea each morning so she started leaving me extra tea bags and cups. The hotel has individual coffee makers so I didn't mind using their machine. Breakfast was excellent. They had plenty of food in the hot buffet and tons of seating. The pool area was really nice and provided an excellent view out of my window. I normally don't stay at Best Western but now I will. This hotel is great for business travelers. There was free wifi in the rooms and the hotel's business center was really nice. I was able to print power points daily at no charge.

We enjoyed our stay at the Stuart FL Best Western. We had no complaints about any of the services, room, etc. We were on the courtyard side and found it peaceful and quiet. « Good Location in Stuart »

We stayed here before,so we stayed here one night last week. The motel changed from carpet to tile type floor which is better but not cleaned well. Breakfast has the best assortment of items better than other motels. Nice large breakfast room. Nice pool in courtyard. Heard many planes flying over motel all night which ruined my sleep! Brought our small dog with us since their pet friendly, but was grossed out to see another customer staying there with a huge pet lizard. She was letting it crawl on the railing of courtyard. I do not know if motel staff was aware, but she was not trying to hide her pet at all. Location is great for shops and restaurants.

« Convenient Location »

Not many hotels in the area of downtown but this one was great. Perfect location for visiting the places we wanted to go to in the downtown area. Very clean and check-in and check-out was quick. We had a king room with a view of the pool. The free breakfast included great scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles and more. Also, if you are a smoker, we appreciated that they still had smoking rooms and they did not have a smoky smell. Definitely recommend.

« Enjoyed the Pool »

The Best Western Downtown Stuart was a great pick for our children. The hotel has a very friendly staff and includes a very large pool and sundeck. The kids were able to swim until 10 30 PM. Breakfast at the hotel is a plus since its free and a huge buffet. The internet was free too so they were able to use their tablets at night. Would strongly encourage anyone traveling with children to chose this hotel in Stuart.

The hotel also had a very nice business center where we were able to print directions to our next destination.

Adam gave us a warm welcome at check-in. Not many hotels offer cookies at arrival; this was great surprise. The rooms were very comfortable and included a fridge which was great since my husband takes insulin. The hotel offers curb side rooms and pool side rooms; we chose a curb side so we could unload are things quickly. The hotel breakfast was great; Terry kept are coffee cups full the whole time. The swimming pool looked amazing at night; we didn't swim but noticed many other guest enjoying it. Next time we are bringing are swimming trunks!

I didn't read the reviews but this place is okay. Not a new hotel, by any means with outdoor rooms and only 2 stories. Nice pool area. Breakfast was good and the service at breakfast was superior. Nice fitness facility. We stayed here for a softball tournament and it was fine for what we needed it for and close to the fields. There is a train that runs directly behind the hotel that is quite loud. Went off twice each night we were there.

Hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms are very large and comfortable; looked as if they have just been renovated. The kids enjoyed the huge pool and patio area which was open until 10PM. Breakfast area was very big, which was awesome. Didn't have to wait around for seats. Girls enjoyed breakfast; the attendant had the buffet well stocked the whole time and they had someone pouring coffee. Next time we are in Stuart again for a tournament we will be staying at the Best Western!

« Clean but Train Noise »

This hotel was very clean, employees were nice, BUT we could hear a train noise several times at night. If you are a sound sleeper you might be able to sleep through it. but if you are not I would not stay at this hotel even though the hotel was clean. The pool was nice and the breakfast was very good.

« Great Location and Enjoyed My Stay! »

I travel to Stuart frequently. I have just about stayed at every hotel in town. Going forward there is only one hotel for me and that's the Best Western Downtown Stuart. The hotel location is fantastic. A few walking blocks from Old Town Stuart and minutes from fine dining and shopping. The hotel lobby is very inviting and has a bar and grill. The front desk agents were very friendly and were willing to help with any questions. The hot cookies at check-in were delicious. My room was newly renovated and include a coffee maker, a microwave, fridge, free internet, and 40 in 3D LED TV. The hotel has a wonderful pool area with a large sundeck and patio. Breakfast was free with our room which was a wonderful surprise; but an even bigger shocker was the amount of food offered for the hot buffet breakfast. Terry the breakfast attendant was wonderful. She made sure I had plenty to drink and eat daily. I think the reason I loved my stay at this hotel over the other choices in town was the simple fact that every employee at this hotel goes out of their way to accommodate you to make sure you are having a great stay!

« Baseball Trip Stuart »

My family and I got two last minute rooms at the Best Western Downtown Stuart. We were in town for a baseball tournament for my sons and we were hit a weather delay. Decided to stay versus driving 5 hours. Adam at the front desk was very helpful. He helped us get into two wonderful rooms that were adjoining. This was very important since both of my children are 14. The hotel rooms are very nice. Looks like the hotel was just renovated. The rooms have flat screen TVs, free internet, and micro-fridges. Breakfast was awesome; Terry did a great job taking care of my kids. She made them waffles and pancakes with chocolate chips. We didn't get to use the pool but it provided a beautiful view from our rooms along with the courtyard. I am looking forward at staying at this hotel again this summer for AAU competitions.

« Great Stay and Fantastic Price! »

Stayed at the Best Western Stuart on a spur of the moment trip. Booked on Tripadvisor and got a great rate. The hotel is very nice. Rooms are newly renovated. Breakfast and internet were free. The pool is very nice surronded by a beautiful courtyard. Would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat.

I am happy to have stayed there. Staff was great and place was really nice and clean. pool area was wonderful. I plan on taking another trip here soon. The place that is was located was close to a lot of places. We didn't have to drive far which was nice.

« Outstanding!! »

Gorgeous hotel! the rooms are very clean and the staff goes out of their way to accommodate you. Breakfast is included with your stay and its got quite a selection from fresh scrambled eggs to biscuits and gravy. We were upgraded to a courtyard view at check in and the view alone was breath taking. The pool was heated which made for a nice relaxing swim. I was blown away by the service this hotel offers. Will be back in July.

« The Reviews Were Spot On! »

Traveling on a vacation to the Keys, we stopped overnight in Stuart to visit family and once again Trip Advisor reviewers were spot on in their reviews of the Best Western in downtown Stuart. The property is very well maintained, extremely clean and the rooms updated and comfortable. The same can be said of the pool area with one of the older large motel pools which brought back fond memories of family vacations as a child. The breakfast bar is more than adequate with a friendly attendant moving from table to table serving freshly brewed coffee. Last of all - the price - a great value at under $100 for the night. Now, on to Key West!

« Just Good »

It's good for the price. Basic breakfast. Average rooms. Nothing else to add. There were some rare odor outside the hotel. It was on the area. I stayed as a last time called because I didn't want to drive back to miami in late night. Breakfast was average, There were some disorder on the restaurant, and just a few tablets.

« Fun in the Sun! »

Normally don't stay at Best Westerns but I decided to stay at the Best Western Stuart because of the great reviews. The hotel did not disappoint. The hotel staff is fantastic; every member smiles and always ask if they can help. The pool area is great.. huge pool, plenty of space, and lush landscaping! The rooms are very comfortable with great beds and pillows. Breakfast with Terry in the morning is a delight. Fresh poured coffee along with a hot buffet daily with real eggs! Couldn't ask for a better vacation. Hotel was close to great restaurants; staff provided directions and recommendations daily.

« Another Excellent Stay at Brst Western Downtown Stuart »

My husband and I came back to Stuart to enjoy the wonderful Flordia weather. This hotel has newly renovated rooms which are very comfortable. We enjoyed our poolside room which had free high speed internet, a 40 in. LED TV, a microwave, and minifridge. My husband has asthma so Pat offered us a room with hardwood flooring. This was a great suggestion! Breakfast did not disappoint as usual with fresh scrammbled eggs, sausage biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles and pankakes, oatmeal station, plus other items. The hotel staff is very courteous and genuine. We were tickled with the oatmeal cookies at check-in. Would recommend staying at this hotel to any family looking to relax ; we have stayed here twice and 5 days is never enough. The location is perfect. Very close to great shopping and dining!

« Pet friendly hotel »

I thought this hotel was overpriced at $200+ a night. The rooms were somewhat updated with the flooring but the vents looked like they had never been cleaned---ever. There was atleast 4-5 inches of dust and dirt on the vents in the tiny bathroom. The bed was awful-it was so indented in the middle we kept rolling into each other all night. We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly and centrally located. Refrigerator in the room was convenient to have. We did not visit the pool or breakfast area.

4
« nice for price »

I had pneumonia and needed to lay low a couple days. Front desk was helpful. After fever broke 3 days, I wanted my room cleaned and all new linens. I watched them do the bed and never changed bottom sheet, where I had sweated for 3 days, confused me how that was done in front of me. Overall Holiday Inn Express nicer for same price, but beds very comfy and would probably stay again.

This was a great place to stay. The hotel staff including the breakfast person are all very personable and top notch! You can tell that the staff takes ownership in what they do to make your stay a good one. Very reasonable rate. Nice room. Fast internet. Grounds were clean. Ample parking all around. Close to many restaurants. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Helpful staff and quaint little place in a pleasant location. Clean and well maintained grounds with nice room. Parking was a little tight with several contract vehicles parking in center of lot. I would stay again.

« quick get away »

not happy with the loud voices we could hear coming from the pool late at night, and heard lots of knocking noises on the wall/ceilings...but clean, comfortable, and we got lots of rest. The breakfast option was very good, and it was extra early! We love strong coffee, and that is to be desired here, and the single cup coffee provided in the room, not good for 2 people.

3
« Good place »

Rooms are put together well and took advantage of the free breakfast. Only disadvantage here was that there is a train that passes by every few hours or so and would actually wake me up in the middle of the night. Sounded like something out of a my cousin Vinny movie haha

« Great Nights Rest »

My family and I were traveling to Orlando to catch a Disney Cruise. Stopped in Stuart because we were tired of driving. This hotel was a great discovery; it is newly renovated and the rooms are very nice. The beds and pillows are fantastic! So much so we bought pillows when we left. The breakfast is great; it had fresh waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage, and a ton of other items. The kids enjoyed the heated pool; pool was open until 10 PM which I found different since most hotels don't allow night swimming. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to recharge their batteries in Stuart!

3
« Don't plan on getting much sleep »

This hotel is clean and the staff is great. However, it is also a very old property and showing its age. The biggest detractors are the trains that run right next to the hotel at all hours blowing the whistle as it passes the hotel. The breakfast is less than appealing but typical for a hotel offering free breakfast. I would not stay there again if I want to get any sleep.

5
« Great time at BW Stuart »

I was very pleased with BW Stuart. The staff was professional and friendly. The room was clean. There was a refrigerator and microwave. There was wi-fi and computers for internet. The breakfast was absolutely great. The train noise was minimal because I requested a room away from the trains. Plenty of parking. Pool looked great although I did not go in it. I'll do that my next trip. When I go back to Stuart next year for spring training I will be staying at BW Stuart.

« Another Great Stay at a Best Western Plus! »

The hotel is newly renovated and is close to Downtown Stuart. The staff is very nice and check-in process is very quick. The hotel has complimentary breakfast in the morning which was the highlight of our stay. We were originally in a curbside room however, after being on the waiting list we were moved to a poolside room. It was definitely worth our time moving. The view is amazing at sunrise and sunset. The hotel allows night swimming which is a plus. If in Stuart you won't go wrong with this hotel.

« Fun Stay! »

I booked through Expedia. When I got to the hotel, Expedia had messed up my arrival date. Adam at the front desk was wonderful. He called Expedia had the problem resolved. They failed to mention I had two dogs as well. He helped me get into the hotel for 7 days with a smile the entire time. The hotel staff has wonderful customer service not just the front desk agents, hotel management is always walking around the property greeting guests, the housekeeping staff comes by non-stop replenishing coffee, tea, and pool towels, even the grounds man stops ;and ask how is your stay and ask if he could help with anything. The breakfast buffet is free and its better than the local Denny's and I hop. The hotel has a wonderful pool; not a small one but a full size Olympic that is heated. The rooms are very nice and clean; the hotel has a wonderful business center which we used daily trying to find a vacation home in the area. The gym is a real gym so you can work off the breakfast from in the morning. If you are looking for a family hotel this is your place!

« Nice Hotel. »

This is NOT your typical Florida hotel. The rooms face outside; but this hotel has a wonderful view of the pool and courtyard. The rooms are newly renovated and have every amenity you can imagine. The hotel rates are very reasonable compared to the other hotels in town. The hotel has free breakfast, parking, internet, and no pool fees. I would recommend anyone staying in Stuart to consider this hotel not only b/c of its great location but the staffs amazing service and the free hot cookies at check-in. The hotel does have a bar and grill but it is only open on the week-days. The walk to Downtown Stuart is about 7 minutes.

« Great Stay! »

Our get away to Stuart was very pleasant in large part to the Best Western Downtown Stuart. The hotel staff is second to none. The staff is very friendly and caring. Every staff member smiles and greets you by name. The hot buffet breakfast is great. The food is made to serve daily and Terry the attendant provides a personal touch which is a lost art in the hotel industry. The rooms are very clean and modern. Housekeeping does a great job daily. The hotel has an amazing pool which is heated. The internet is free and fast. I can't wait to go back next spring to Stuart.

« A Nice Place to Stay »

We recently stayed at this hotel after our initial hotel we reserved was unacceptable. The staff at Best Western was friendly and accommodating, arranging a room for us for 6 nights at the last minute. The hotel is very modern and clean, serves a free breakfast and is located close to downtown Stuart. I would highly recommend staying here.

« Beware their accounting. »

Accommodation OK but accounting terrible. I and my son and family stayed there over the new year. From the beginning we emphasized we would pay separately. I would pay cash. They took my credit card anyway.I paid my bill in full in cash when I left. Then they mixed up the bills. When I got home i found they had undercharged my son, put his bill on my credit card and then refused to take it off until he had paid up. He had paid the bill they had presented him with in full on leaving. They had given him the wrong bill amount. They denied they had his ccard when they assuredly did have it as he had booked the rooms with it before we went there, and demanded he fill in his information on a form with no amount specified and send it back or i would have to pay up.I had never signed anything to say i would be responsible for his charges, and anyway he hadn't reneged-he had paid he bill they gave him. They had put the wrong amount. This took 2 months to sort out, and they were not truthful about the cards. In the end I got $100 Canadian as compensation, but this was not enough for the time and mental strain of dealing with it and the customer service person was ineffective. It was horrible to come home and find my card had been charged when I had paid my bill in full.

« Great Place to Stay! »

Wow, I wasn't really expecting such a nice stay from a chain such as this, but I have to say it was VERY nice. The rooms were very clean and updated. The service was great - really friendly staff at the counter! Pool area is beautiful and we walked back and forth to downtown a few times with no problem. I would definitely return!

« nice stay »

We stayed at the hotel during a spring training trip. This is a well maintained location with a friendly staff. The pool was very nice. The room was a standard motel room. The toilet and shower were in their own room and the sink faces the beds. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to consider a different location because it's next to a rail line and near an airport.

2
« The Train »

The hotel called me at 7pm to see if I was coming to check in. I had a four night pre-paid reservation. Of course, I was going to arrive and what time did not seem to me to be any business of the gentleman calling. Weird. When we arrived, the staff was very kind. They also have free breakfast and workout room. The pool is nice, but chilly. They have a nice, small happy hour too. What I missed when making the reservations was there is not an elevator, the rooms open to the outside, and there is a very loud, very close train that runs by the back of the hotel. Wish I would have known that??

4
« Sleep well & enjoy breakfast »

This is a motel - not a high-rise hotel. The room is clean, the hotel area is well maintained and the staff are pleasant & helpful. Will be going back later this month. The motel features a lounge Monday thru Friday nights (seems a little odd that they are not open on Saturday nights)

• 3
« Great service, Bad location »

While the staff, service, and breakfast was to what we have come to expect of Best Western, that is high quality, the location (located near a very active night rail line) and overall "feel" was that of a Motel 6, with the exterior walkways and the lack of privacy due to the room's window looking out onto the walkways.

« BEST STAY IN STUART YET! »

We stayed at the Best Western in Stuart since our other hotel lost our reservations. It was the best mistake that could have happened for our family vacation. The hotel has a wonderful pool and courtyard area; which forced our children to stay outside and enjoy the FL weather. The hotel has a great breakfast: waffles, pancakes, sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, fruit, etc. The hotel didn't have hidden charges, everything was inclusive. No extra charges for parking, internet, gym and business center access, or breakfast. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the hot chocolate chip cookies at check in!

« Enjoyed My Stay, Look Forward Coming Back!!!!! »

Stayed at this Best Western for 5 days. Our stay was fantastic. We were lucky to get a courtyard room, which had a beautiful view. The room was very clean and looked as if it had just been renovated. The highlight for us was the free hot buffet breakfast and the gym. They gym was not a typical hotel gym its had plenty of equipment along with a rubber floor so you could do yoga. The hotel staff is very friendly always greeting you with a warm smile. The hotel internet is pretty fast and its free. Our stay was great and would recommend to anyone in the area. We are staying on our way back from the Keys.

« Decent »

Through Trip Advisor we were told that the court yard rooms (with a view of the lovely pool) were the quietest. Previous reviewers were correct. Thank you. The room was fine and it was clean. There was a complimentary full breakfast, which was run of the mill (it was ok: coffee was good). The bed was very comfortable. The pool, for me, was the highlight of the hotel. It really was a lap pool, which I swam in the two days we were staying at the hotel. The landscaping in the court yard was very pleasant. Also, the location was great. It was easy to get around.

5
« Great Start to Spring Training! »

This hotel was a great surprise! The rooms are newly renovated. The staff is terrific, especially Adam who printed directions daily for us to find places to eat. The hot buffet breakfast, free high speed internet, chocolate chip cookies at check-in, and heated pool were all things we didn't find at our stays at the Clarion and Quality Inn in town. Terry the breakfast attendant made sure we were taken care of daily during breakfast. The housekeeping staff would leave extra tea since they saw we were using it. Will be back next spring training and hopefully they'll have availability so we can stay there the whole time!

« Excellent Best Western! »

This is my favorite hotel in Stuart. My company ABC Liquor just opened a new location and I have been staying here off and on over the last 6 months. The hotel staff is great, everyone is very kind and professional. The hot breakfast in the morning is excellent especially the fresh scrambled eggs vs. fake eggs at the other hotels in town. The cleanliness of the rooms and property is outstanding. The beds are very, very comfortable! Fresh chocolate chip cookies in the evening are a big hit. Have used the pool a few times; enjoyed the view daily.

1
« Dirty hotel. Rude staff »

My daughter and I just tried to stay at this hotel. First if all, it's dirty and outdated. Secondly, their tv doesn't work. Snowy channels. We called the front desk and, after coming to see that the tv channel we desired (ABC) obviously didn't work, they said we could change rooms in another bldg because the dishes were different. But, upon arriving at the front desk, they claimed we owed $40 more for the room! I said that we only changed rooms because your tv doesn't work, but they would make no accommodations for us. I am in the hospitality business. This isn't how you treat customers. It's shameful! I would never treat a customer this way. Best Western of Stuart is a rotten hotel. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

« Spring Training »

Stayed here for the night before continuing to Mets spring training in Port Saint Lucie. The road is a few miles off the highway, but is a decent stay. However, I can't for the life of me understand why this place is getting such fantastic reviews. It's priced moderately, has a pool and reasonably comfortable rooms that at least appeared clean. The hotel though is kind of dinky, with many of the rooms facing outside to a parking lot. Breakfast is good and staff is friendly. Would stay again at a cheaper price.

5
« Beautiful and Relaxing »

This hotel is the most beautiful best western we have been to. I was informed by the front desk that they had just completed renovations on the hotel and it definitely shows from the minute you walk in the door. The room we got had a gorgeous view overlooking the pool. We only stayed a few nights but as relaxing as it was i wish i could have stayed a few more. Breakfast was free and they have fresh coffee 24/7 in the lobby. It doesn't get much better than this, especially for the price. Best western has exceeded our standards and made a life long customer.

« Great Place to Stay! »

My husband and our twin boys were traveling from Mobile, AL to Boca Raton, FL. We decided to stay in Stuart to visit Bathtub Reef Beach on the way back home. We had to stay in quite a few hotels during our trip but this hotel was by far the cleanest and most comfortable. The staff at the hotel is super friendly, the fresh breakfast buffet is exceptional, the pool and courtyard have a beautiful view, and the internet is free. The hotel has a very nice business center where my husband was able to get some work in. I would recommend staying at the Best Western Downtown Stuart to anyone traveling with children. The hotel facilities and the staff are very family orientated.

5
« Friendly and Accomodating »

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this Best western while visiting my family in Stuart. I had stayed at a few best westerns before this and never had a problem so i usually try to book with them. The front desk was quick and efficient and they got me in to my room very quickly. The rooms were clean and the courtyard was beautiful. Was definitely an enjoyable stay and if im ever in the area again, I will surely book with them again.

« Close Encounters of the Worst Kind »

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western in Stuart for a couple of nights visiting with friends vacationing in the area. Although there were some negative reviews we selected this hotel because we liked the location, free breakfast, free wifi and the room price. When we checked in, the hotel appeared to be close to expectations. However when we pulled into the back of the hotel to access our room we were surprised to find several construction vehicles and roofing materials stacked near the rooms. The real surprise was when we got out of the car and the smell and noise of the roofing project was overwhelming. We went to the office to inquire why they would undertake a roofing project in the middle of their busy and were greeted with empty looks and little concern. Fortunately for us when we arrived at our room we were far enough away from the work that we didn't have either the smell or noise to contend with or at least we thought. After settling in we decided to go to the outdoor pool, only to find the noise and the smell to be overwhelming there too. Even our morning walk to the breakfast area was marred by the noxious smell. To top it off on our last evening at the hotel, we found that the rear tire on our rental car was punctured by a roofing nail. When we reported it to the front desk in the morning we were surprised at lack of concern shown. So some takeaways from this stay for us were - you get what you pay for - low quality service and accommodations for a relatively low price (although it was $116/night), a construction site instead of a hotel and a pledge to never stay at a Best Western again.

« Well maintained lodging »

Well maintained facility with nice garden & pool as well as lobby and dining area. Rooms were clean and well appointed. One of the better, quieter air conditioning units we have experienced lately. Did not patrinize the evening dining or lounge.

« Great Escape »

The BW Stuart was a great choice in a good location. Close to restaurant, beaches, shopping, movies. The pool area was like a little oasis. The hotel is well maintained and the staff is extremely helpful. The breakfast is well stocked and enjoyable. A couple of minor issues were quickly resolved. Some other comments mentioned the closeness to an small airport but we did not find this to be a problem. Would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is going to renovation as of now, but I couldn't tell because they were really quiet. I was one of the lucky ones who had a new updated room which was great. Overall I think this is a nice place to stay. I stay here every time I come to visit family.

« Horrible Service »

The beds are so uncomfortable...the pillows are a lumpy mess. We asked for a roll away bed...cost of $15 and we were ok with that. However, the bed showed up 1 1/2 hours after requested. It was late at night and my child was TIRED. When the bed did arrive it had no pillow or sheets. I called up front to have them bring those items. "I'm the only one here right now so I can't until someone else arrives" after another hour of waiting I went to the front desk to get those items since the front desk person clearly couldn't leave. He offered me a blanket but didn't understand why i'd need more items. The "MANAGER" was now there and overheard this conversation. He then proceeded to scold me...telling me they would have put a rollaway bed in our room but our reservation was for 2 people...this was a complete lie on many fronts. They never add a roll away bed first of all...and we had reserved our room through hotwire as 4 people. He then told me it is completely acceptable to get just a mattress to sleep on :( Needless to say I will be contacting Best Western about this "manager" and his questionable professionalism and leaving an employ by himself so he can not serve the people staying at this "fine" establishment. One positivie...it does have a nice breakfast. One more negative don't let the heated pool thing fool ya...nothing heated about it!

« Another Great Stay! »

Whenever I am in Stuart, FL I look forward to staying at this hotel. The staff at the Best Western is excellent. They are always willing to help with early or late check-outs, future reservations, or room type changes. I have had to make multiple reservation changes due to the weather and not once has the staff not met my requests. The breakfast provided by the hotel is the best in town. The hotel has been recently remodeled so the rooms are excellent, the internet and parking is free, and the pool is heated. The hotel is very well maintained especially in the courtyard area. I would recommend this hotel over any hotel in Stuart whether you are in town for work or vacation.

This hotel is located blocks away from Downtown Stuart; we were able to walk back and forth from restaurants and shops. The price is very reasonable for the amount of amenities that are provided for free such as the hot breakfast, high speed internet, business center, gym, and pool area. I found that the best part of the hotel was the staff. The first night we got to the hotel the city had a gas leak and had turned off the feed to the hotels pool heater. Every member of the staff was concerned and apologetic over something they couldn't control. As soon as the issue was resolved, the front desk called to let us know. Bryan an engineer at the hotel saw my wife trying to lift her bag into our van; he not only helped her load the bag but also went to the room back and forth twice to get the rest of our luggage! The staff takes great care of the grounds; there are several young men that are always cleaning and rearranging furniture around the pool to make every guest comfortable.

« Very good place to stay. »

Very polite people working at check in...they went out of their way to help me... the rooms were very comfortable and clean... the pool area look great very well kept and clean... I was not very impressed with the restaurant but I don't think it was supposed to be... I think the restaurant is there just to be able to say they have one..... there are some great places to eat as well as wonderful bars close by...

« Very helpful »

The staff at the front desk were very helpful during check-in checking into my room it was one of the remodeled rooms which looks very very nice everything was cleaning and fresh the breakfast was also good in the morning they actually have real eggs not that powdered stuff you get at a Holiday Inn.

« Could have been better »

We did not get great customer service and eventually were forced to change rooms. The breakfast was good and staff was helpful and friendly. We were initially told the pool was heated but once we were at the pool, were told it was not heated (making it unusable).

« Great Anchor Hotel to Explore Area! »

This is a Best Western -- not a Four Seasons!! As Best Western's go....it was great. Staff was terrific and helpful, room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was adequate and FREE, free wifi as well. Based on recommendations on Trip Advisor, we stayed in a room facing the inner courtyard (and pool) and were very happy with this location. Hotel is conveniently located, 1 mile from cute downtown area, and close to shopping, restaurants and movies. Would recommend for sure! Slightly inconvenienced when they turned the water off one day. However, we were given advance notice and the opportunity to shower in another room.

This was an excellent hotel with courteous, helpful staff and comfortable beds. The breakfast was very good with a nice selection of hot and cold foods. We always try to stay in Best Western motels because they are top notch!

« Home Away From Home! »

The Best Western Stuart is my first choice for hotels in Stuart. The hotel staff makes you feel that the hotel is your home away from home. From the moment you check-in you are greeted with endless smiles. The hotel rooms are new and very clean. The hotel offers amenities that exceed a typical Best Western. The internet is fast and the pool is heated so the kids are always happy. The hot breakfast buffet in the morning exceeds your expectations daily. The best part of the hotel is that they actually have a gym with equipment so you can get a normal work out in.

« Consistently Great Experience! »

I have stayed at the Best Western Downtown Stuart for the last week. I am very impressed how consistent the service and quality of my stay has been. The housekeeping staff takes extra steps in making sure that my expectations are met daily. I have really enjoyed the breakfast buffet that is offered daily for FREE. The rooms are newly renovated, spacious, and clean. The heated pool in the courtyard is a great way to relax after a hard day of work. The hotel also offers free high speed internet. I would highly recommend this hotel for any traveler coming to the Stuart area.

« Very Nice Hotel Rooms Great Staff! »

I have been visiting the Stuart area looking for a new home over the last month. I have stayed at 3 hotels in Stuart while looking for a home; and by far this is my favorite hotel. The rooms are newly remodeled, the price is reasonable, the staff is excellent, and the best part is the free breakfast in the morning. The hotel is very close to Old Town Stuart and numerous attractions in the area. The rooms have free high speed internet, 40 in led televisions, and mini-fridges. The hotel also has a very large pool and garden area that is very well maintained. I would highly reccomend this hotel to any traveler wanting to have a tropical experience!

« New rooms Good staff »

I am working in the area for several months. I'm glad I found the BW this pace is better then the other hotels around in the same price range for shore. staff is nice. cleaning crew is on top of their stuff, and if you drink the room coffee every morning you'll start seeing two packets instead of one just in case (its the little things you appreciate after been gone from home for so long). my only complaint is that the train in the area is loud when it come through at night, which is a problem of most hotels in the area. However i switched to pool side and its not noticeable there.

« Enjoyed our stay »

The hotel is an older hotel for the area, but the wonderful staff made this hotel a good place to stay. We enjoyed the breakfast, the pool and the quiet. The rooms are basic, but very clean and worth the price.

« Looks more like a motel. »

My biggest problem was that it had more the appearance of a cheap motel than a hotel. The fact that someone attempted to break into my vehicle in the dark parking lot was concerning. It was the best I could find for $90 per night in prime season. Next time I will pay the extra money.

« Wish I could stay forever!! »

This hotel is absolutely phenomenal. The minute I walked in the door I was greeted with a warm welcome that immediately made me feel at home. Nimesh at the front desk was quick and efficient at getting me into my room after 17 hours of straight driving. The room was gorgeous and the bed was beyond comfy. Breakfast is my favorite meal and the fact they have everything from pancakes to biscuits and gravy blew my mind. And it's a buffet no less!! I will definitely be returning in the near future. You have made a life long customer.

« New Year's Trip »

Stayed here on my way to South Florida since rates were cheaper than anything in South Florida and wasn't that far away of a trip from where I was going. Only issues I had was the toilet made a noise when you flushed it but it wasn't an annoyance at night. The shower was still dripping out of its tub faucet when you turned it off but it didn't keep me awake at night or was noticeable unless you were in the bathroom. Breakfast was awesome and plentiful. Fitness Center was good for me too. WiFi was fine on my computer but was sporadic on my phone. Once I turned my phone off and back on, it was fine.

« good for the money »

rooms very clean and all fixtures were in good working condition. pool was in nice condition. numerous rooms were being renovated at the time of our stay. breakfast was average quality (biscuits and gravy were nasty).

« Nice renovated rooms - trains and planes »

This is a nice hotel with renovated rooms (no carpets anymore) close to a local airport and next to a railway which can be loud though we slept very well. Great free breakfast, fast internet and pool complement a good experience. Amenity provided are good products which is rare these days. I would return.

« Excellent Service and Stay! »

My company has been in Stuart working on opening another location. I have stayed at all the hotels in Stuart over the last 6 months. By far the best hotel in town is the Best Western. The staff is outstanding; always greeting you with a smile and willing to lend a hand with any request. The rooms are new, clean, and comfortable! The Internet is not only free but very fast which is a plus since I like to stream Netflix. I recommend asking to get a courtyard/poolside room since the view is beautiful. Breakfast is the best part of the hotel. Everyday there is a grand buffet breakfast; plus Terry serves endless hot coffee to each table which I have never seen at a hotel.

« A Very Merry Christmas Vacation »

My family and I came to visit my grandparents in Stuart for Christmas. We decided to stay at the Best Western. This hotel was a great surprise! The staff was very friendly; Nikki at the front desk helped us find helicopter tours for our children. The rooms are renovated with great amenities; the hotel is within walking distance of old town Stuart. The hotel has a wonderful pool area that is maintained very well. There is a complimentary hot buffet breakfast which was great since we did not have to spend extra for breakfast. The hotel also had free internet! If you are heading to Stuart, this is a wonderful hotel to stay at with your family!

« Old and Under Construction »

There are not many choices of hotels in this area, so we chose this one because of its proximity to family. Everything about this place is old- furniture, fixtures, a/c, etc. The power saws began at 7:45 am, right outside our door. Got in late, left as early as possible. We would not stay here again.

« Excellent Vacation »

My family traveled to Stuart last week for a wedding. We stayed at the Best Western Downtown Stuart. The hotel has an excellent location since its a few blocks from Downtown Stuart and several restraunts/shops. The rooms are very comfortable since the hotel has been just renovated. The free hot buffet breakast in the morning with Terry is a bonus (eggs, waffles, pancakes, sausage biscuits) The hotel has free wifi and parking also. The best part of the hotel is the staff; everyone at this property is friendly! The pool area is huge and very clean.

« If you like lots of noise - stay here »

To start this hotel is located right next to the train tracks so you hear every train going by on the hour (yes, every hour) blowing their horns and rumbling through. At the time of my stay they also had construction going on which started at 7am. I love pets, however the night I stayed here there were many dogs barking. So to sum it up... If loud train horns, construction and barking dogs are your thing, this is your place. I would never stay at this Best Western location again.

2
« IF YOU LOVE TRAIN HORNS 24 hours a day then this is the place to stay »

The rooms were fine but the hotel is located right next to the railroad tracks. Train horns all night long. Staff was courteous and the rooms were clean. It is pet friendly so you will hear dogs barking. If you stay here you should bring ear plugs.

« Poor service/ »

We booked two rooms a month in advance - asked for first floor facing pool. Was told both parties used canes. Ended up getting one on first floor and one on second. Was not told there was construction going on. We were awaken at 7:30 with saws in room beside us and behind us. Front desk staff very rude and not helpful

« Outstanding Room and Impressive Staff!!!!!!! »

This was our first time trying the Best Western Downtown Stuart. The hotel has a great location surrounded by restaurants and walking distance from downtown Stuart. Internet and breakfast were awesome. This hotel is by far the cleanliest hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms looked brand new and were comfortable and spacious. The hotel staff had smiles that were contagious from the housekeepers to the people picking up the linens. Bryan the maintenance engineer stopped what was he doing to help my husband change a flat tire. If you want a great hotel experience at a reasonable price, this is the perfect stop in Stuart.

« Excellent staff and room! »

To quote my children this hotel was ?the bomb and they had a blast? because of the huge pool and courtyard area. Upon arrival Nicole was very helpful with check-in and recommending places to visit in the Stuart area. She provided maps and directions every day with a smile. The hotel rooms are newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast was a wonderful surprise since the hotel provided a hot buffet breakfast daily that had waffles, pancakes, sausage and biscuits, and plenty more to keep my kids excited over 5 days. Terry the breakfast attendant made sure my coffee and plate were never empty. There is always hotel staff on the grounds cleaning and making sure guests are comfortable. I would take the Best Western over any hotel in Stuart. The hotel is very family orientated and the price did not break our bank. I look forward to staying at this hotel on our way back home!

« very satisfied »

Hotel was clean, breakfast was nice, room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful from the front desk to the dining area, to the housekeeping staff. We stay at this Hotel when we come down to visit the family. This was Thanksgiving and it was a very nice stay.

« NICE STAFF, BUT ROOM ON THE OTHER HAND?!! »

We were traveling to Ft Lauderdale for a cruise and stopped to visit a friend who lived in Stuart. We were put in the "Remodeled Area". Yes it had been painted, and everything was clean, but the room had a smell to it that was like it had once been a smoking room, and there was still that lingering musty smell. The bathroom door had so much new paint that it couldn't close. Other issue is the address. Not being from the area, the Street address is actually Highway 1, and not a single sign indicating that the road is Old Federal Highway. We got lost as a result since we were looking for the address listed on the Hotel Literature.

« Another restful night »

This Best Western is in a good location (close to restaurants-a movie theater & a short drive to cute historical downtown Stuart) and has helpful and nice staff. The rooms have always been clean and we enjoy our dips in the refreshing pool surrounded by great vegetation. Nice breakfast location and food too.

« Good value hotel but noisy »

We stayed for one night at this hotel during our recent road trip around Florida, it is very good value, clean with all the facilities you need including breakfast. The only problem is that it is situated very close to the railway line, the huge goods trains with their very loud horns come through just about hourly all through the night. As we were only staying for one night we put up with it but I wouldn't recommend staying for longer if you are a light sleeper like me!

« Surprising Nice »

Not much on Best Western's, but not alot to choose from in this area. We were there only overnight. This is a very nice hotel. Well kept, nice bedding and decent breakfast. Bathroom even has a seperate sink and counter area. One drawback, there is no elevator to 2nd floor, so if have issues with stairs, ensure you get a room on 1st floor. Would go back.

« Quality of room and breakfast »

Ended up staying there three nights. The rooms were clean and orderly. Everything worked. The front desk people were very nice over the phone and in person. They seemed to like the interaction with guests. The breakfast area was nice and airy, clean and neat. Worker came around to clean off the tables and supply hot coffee and hot water for tea, quite often. Overall, rate this place as very good but my best comment is that I,d stay there again if I came back to the area.

« Pool area a 5, room a 2 »

Located on Rte. 1 in Stuart, near fabulous little downtown. Over wkend, they had booths. There's a walkway along water, great area. Hotel itself: really nice lobby and breakfast area. Very nice staff. Breakfast was fine. Pool is so clean and one of the biggest we've ever seen for roadway lodging. Pool area and courtyard are fabulous. Not as good: we had older room. They're definitely doing construction in back rooms. Watch out when parking. We parked to side of place. Inside bar was not open.

« great »

change up the breakfast a little , maybe some 1 egg omelets or bacon like.. i stayed here about 25 times in last 2 months. always the same breakfast. . i notices in a couple of rooms the bathroom fan is broken. Best western is a big plus for being pet friendly . The renovated rooms look great. overall im very happy.

« Family road trip »

Brought my daughter's here just for a weekend getaway. Very nice for the price. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and things to do like bowling, movies, etc. Would definitely come here again. Not for an adventure seeker but more for just a plain get away from life.

« Promises not kept »

A promise for a certain room was made to a visiting family member. The counter person even made a note on the computer stating, "Do not change." A most unacceptable change was made. The room was old and needs modernized, the shower was pretty worn out and the toilet flushed slowely.

« Happy guest! »

Great experience... The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, the property looked great, room was clean, with a comfortable bed, and he breakfast was great too.. What more could you ask for? I would definitely return...

« Great Stay »

After a disasterous try at the Best Western in Port St. Lucie, this hotel in downtown Stuart was a beacon in the night. Great room, great view and Sergio at the desk went above and beyond in helping us find places to eat and shop. I recommend this highly.

« good , no proplems »

good stay , quiet . good internet service . was able to get work done . i will stay here again. my wife and i enjoyed the breakfast. i felt since we were already in the room , they could have made some arrangement for another night , its was inconvenient to pack up and search for hotel in 1 hour., bot there was vacancy+ at clarion hotel across the street.

« Excellent and affordable place to stay »

The staff and amenities are great. For the money it is a great value. There are a lot of restaurants on Federal highway. The area is a quiet and safe place to stay. I do not have to worry about my vehicle while I stay there.

« Best Western »

have stayed there several times for work. Room clean, parking was ok, there seem to be a lot of work/construction people there. Several times I had to excuse my way up the stairs because people were sitting on the stairs on the phone. Many restaurants close by. Not far from the ocean.

« GREAT SERVICE AND VALUE »

Fantastic staff, great location as well as very clean interior and exterior. Rooms are superb, although the beds are very soft. I would recommend this hotel to couples, singles and families. It has many plus items including the pool, exercise room, great breakfast room and good business center. The staff are willing to assist you and all wear a smile.
