Description
Modern city hotel in Struer on the Limfjord. Grand Hotel Struer is located in the heart of Struer, a fast growing town during the mid to late 1800s. In 1895 Consul Schou thought that the time was right for a proper hotel, and it was he who built the hotel in Ostergade, which quickly became the leading hotel in town. Originally it was named Schou s Hotel, but today the name is Grand Hotel Struer, BW Signature Collection and it has been carefully restored in a modern style. However, the Consuls name has in no way been forgotten because today Schous Brasserie & Bar facing the pedestrian street and the harbour is in the very same premises as Schous restaurant from 1895. Furthermore, with a view to the fact that all railways led to or from Struer, it is no way strange that one of the first courses of the menu is called Danmark Rundt (round about Denmark). It consists of ham from Skagen, sausage from Fano, beer sticks from Bornholm and lamb from Veno. The menu also comprises a delicious regional course, namely North Sea codfish baked in the oven.
