The property is located in a very unsafe area of stockton. The grounds of the hotel were littered with trash. The hallways were dilthy. As we entered our room, there was a large pile of dirty laundry laying on the floor. The front desk moved us to a room next to the pool. The pool area had a large party going well past 10 pm with lots of loud voices and music. Later in the night we were woken by other guests arguing in their rooms. The walls here are paper thin. Breakfast area was overcooked and tables were dirty. Best Westerns are usually clean safe and comfortable. Not the case here. The management here simply doesn't care about their guests.
This Hotel is likely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in! There were multiple problems with this hotel. Lying on the mattresses that offered little support and the springs could be felt. Very little sleep secondary to this. The noise from outside was loud all night long! We were going to park in the disabled space to register, but sadly there were several people sitting in chairs in the parking space smoking weed. It's legal in California, which is fine, however they were settled in and wouldn't allow customers to park there! As bad as it was, the worst was seeing Multiple drug deals throughout the parking lot!!!
This is a terrible hotel and I don't recommend anyone stay there unless you want noise all night long, hallways that smell like pot, stained carpets, broken rooms, and humid, damp rooms. The hallways are dimly lit and there are people playing loud music in the parking lot until 2-3 am. The hotel does nothing to discourage this behavior nor are they doing anything to fix what is broken, change the stained carpets, etc. It's a disgusting hotel.
Parking lot trashy . Had to step over an old toothpaste tube cigarettes, and the old drink cans sitting on the step. The drink can was still there in AM . Tho others were finally picked up . Beautiful eating area with booths as well as tables . Breakfast could have been stepped up a bit . Like real oatmeal instead of instant hard boiled eggs yogurt and etc . Close to restsurants. Helpful staff .
Friendly staff breakfast in the morning on the house and cleaning service was top of the line. Perfect for staying here for work. Helped me with extra towels and toiletries when needed would stay there again when working in stockton.... thank you best western
I had a good stay there. I did get a room close to the door coming in and it was loud. They say they could move me but didn't bother me that much. I really liked the breakfast it was in a nice room and really had a lot of choices to choose from. There are a lot of places close to eat at. Looks like a lot shopping close. I would stay there again.
This is the Worst place ever. The management sucks. Roby is the manger he doesn't care for his customer at all. I stayed 1 night someone broke my back glass of my car. IF I were you book else where. Save you the hassle.........................
Nice place, clean interior. Very nice young woman checked me in & took great care of me. The exterior was a bit dirty, but I think it was because some thoughtless guests were partying outside & tossing their beer containers anywhere but the trash cans.
Rest. Wanted spa room. Discontinued spa suites. Overpriced. Fitness room closed. Lounge closed. This place isn't special. It just has more breakfast than most places. That's it. Big deal.
It was a very comfortable stay as usual. I wish that there were better shower liners, the mess from the water getting out is always horrible and there are never enough towels.
Excellent service. Clean rooms and the breakfast was a plus. We enjoy ourselves. I will come again definitely recommended
when morning I had to call the office because I counted over 20 cigarette butts all around the pool, including some floating in the pool water. Smoking everywhere inside smoking outside and this is supposed to be a snow smoking hotel. There are no signs and as soon as staff walks away, people light up again and laugh at them it was a horrible for me because I have asthma and I could not enjoy my room. I could not enjoy the pool plus my room smelled like marijuana because everyone smoking marijuana upstairs and in the hallways are full of smoke. I reported it but never stopped four nights.
I enjoyed staying at best western. I don't stay at any other hotel. Service is good breakfast is good and rooms are clean.
Room was filthy: side table sticky, mystery noodle on phone, broken lamp, mold on bathroom ceiling, makeup on walls. High school frisbee tournament came during my stay, so I didn't sleep almost at all and decided not to wait in line 30 minutes for breakfast that I would have had to take back to my dirty room since the hotel had a couple hundred teenagers milling around every main area. My room key had to be fixed 3 times for a 3 night stay. At the end of the trip I payed with a Discover card and thank Jesus I asked for a receipt because today they charged my debit card. Do yourself a favor and don't stay at this hotel. What a waste of time and money. Worst hotel experience of my entire middle-aged life.
This hotel was disgustingly dirty. Room smelled like smoke. I asked for a different room but it smelled too. Did not feel safe.
Breakfast is awesome variety of food to choose from. Rooms are clean and locations good, a block from shopping mall. Security is excellent they do their job outside and at night time. I will be returning to this location in the future.
I wish I could say this hotel is “best”, but I can't. This is the first time I've stayed at the Best Western Plus Heritage in Stockton and it will be the last. I booked four nights and checked out after the first night. The only good thing about this place is the staff. They are genuinely nice. Where do I start? When you arrive, the front lobby actually looked nice, but what immediately caught my attention was the fact there was a big safety glass at the front desk. I am not accustomed to staying in hotels where there is safety glass. So, I asked the young lady if this was as safe hotel and her story was the glass was there from the Covid epidemic. Well, that “barrier” is not very welcoming. I've traveled all over the world and any hotel that has a glass barrier between the customers and the front desk staff only reminds me of a convenience store in crime infested area. I got pass that barrier and decided to give the room a try. Well, it only go worst. The room was big and that spaciousness was the only claim to fame. The furniture was stained and worn. And clearly was not designed for that room. A huge room with not enough furniture. It definitely did not look clean and I didn't want to even sit on it. The televisions (both of them) didn't work. They sent a maintenance man who fixed the front area television and told me everything was fine. Well, when I went to bed after 11:00pm, I learned the television in the bedroom area was not working. I reported it the next morning at check out. Outside the room was no better. While there were signs up stating “no loitering”, outside my room windows were a group of men that were there for hours sitting on the curbs eating and talking loud. Their large trucks were parked right in front of my windows denying me any type of view for my hotel room. Additionally, there were people outside smoking drugs in their cars and playing incredibly loud music. Bare in mind, there were two security guards who didn't seem to be bothered by the loitering, the loud music, nor the drug use. This hotel is listed as a “3-star” and I've stayed at a lot of “3”, “4”, and “5” star hotels in my 63 years on this earth traveling around the world. And I can say without hesitation the Best Western Plus Heritage in Stockton California, with a lot of work, could be a 3-star hotel, but it is definitely not a 3-star hotel today.
Large facility. Rooms were updated but still had old room smell. Location was close to restaurants and grocery stores, etc. Breakfast was ok but wifi was a little slow. Had some noise issues on the one night but their security was prompt and dealt with it well.
I've stayed here a few times, in different buildings & different types of rooms. Staff is friendly. Kids loved the pool. Breakfast is pretty good & it's open longer than most places 6a-10am. The rooms are cool, no complaints and INSIDE the gate, the property is nice. The only thing is the parking lot is kinda sketchy after the sun goes down. I don't feel comfortable walking to/from my car by myself. That's my only concern.
Everything was very satisfying except the grounds and elevator were not welcoming.. not clean… The breakfast was something else…so many choices… great clean dining room. We enjoyed our stay! Would highly recommend
Super shady characters in the parking lot day and night. Elevator broke, had to use narrow outside stairs to upper floor room. Place stinks like insecticide, run down, stained. Run as fast as you can away from this place.
Room was clean. Great breakfast and good gym, good internet service. Lovely front desk folks. Excellent value. We were driving from Washington to Brea and this hotel was a perfect stop along the way. I highly recommend it.
Once again the BW Heritage Inn did an amazing job caring for our team during the San Joaquin Delta College basketball tournament. The check in process was seamless, the breakfast was plentiful and nutritious, and the customer service was amazing. If you are traveling as a big grou, ask for Sonya, she'll take execellent care of you.
It was a late check in but didn't matter, was quick and got me into my room. Slept like a baby and went to work. Best stay I've had in a hotel in several years.i would stay here over and over again. Breakfast was hot and ready to go, and always a smile from staff when walking anywhere on the property.
This place is equivalent to a Motel 6. Trashy location, dirty rooms, not a place you want to stay with kids. For the price, not worth it! Worst Best Western ever! Just pass and stay somewhere else. Hard to believe Best Western represents this place in their hotels.
Got very little rest, very noisy place, if not people the traffic on the street! They made me wait 15 minutes because it was not 3PM. Elevator was not working, room was hot took 1 hour to cool down. DON'T STAY HERE
I live locally but had never stayed here before but I actually enjoyed my stay here more than any hotel in the past few years locally or otherwise. Plan to make it a regular overnight getaway from home because we enjoyed it so much.
I have stayed at many hotels in the past. They had the best breakfast. Breakfast staff was so friendly. The dining area was well kept. Very clean. Thanks so ,much NEST WESTERN. For ,along our stay a great one. Highly recommend this hotel.
This was the worst stay ever at Best Western. First of all, we arrived at 2:44pm on Saturday and the receptionist said she couldn't check us in until 3pm. We waited and then the receptionist gave us 1 room in a different building and the other two rooms on different floors. The receptionist was very rude but when I complained, then she found 3 rooms on the same floor. When we got the keys, it was almost 4 pm. When we went to the rooms, one of rooms had extremely dirty toilet. When I flushed the toilet, it flooded the bathroom. We had to move to another room which was not close. One of the rooms was for one night but the receptionist never told us. Then the next day, we checked out of one room, but then I received a call that I needed to check out of another because that room was was one night. Then to top it, the elevator was not working and we got stuck in the elevator. The help call didn't not answer. We called 911 and the fire department came. We were stuck in the elevator for 25 minutes. My daughter, wife, amd sister were extremely anxious. It was hot in the elevator and it was the worst feeling. We checked the elevator permit which expired in January 2023. Finally, when we got out of the elevator, I went to the front desk, and the receptionist said the manager will be there at 6 am. When I went in the morning, the receptionist said the manager was not there and will not be here. I believe the manager was there but didn't want to confront me. Also, the blanket in the room seemed to have blood stains. The toilet in one room had spider on the seat. Getting stuck in the elevator was very traumatizing and my family now scared to even think about getting on to elevators. 911 saved us because the front receptionist didn't even pick up the phone for a while.
My husband and I had to stay her for a week while they did work on our apartment. It was so clean and the bed was more comfortable than our $5,000 tempurpedic! The rooms have been redone very nicely and we had absolutely no issues at all. The breakfast had the selection of a restaurant and there was always someone there cleaning tables and ordering up food to be replaced. The people at the front desk were helpful and pleasant. Don't be fooled at the price. It may be inexpensive but it isn't cheap! I've spent way more for a hotel and got way less. I know Stockton and this is where you want to stay.
My family and I visited the other family and friends. The staff was friendly and was very helpful. The room was spacious, clean and great location in the hotel. This hotel was close to grocery stores, Mall and minutes away from the freeway which made things very convenient. Overall I was satisfied and wouldn't mind staying there on our next trip.
As a Diamond Member I have been very blessed to receive the Elite treatment from the staff at the Best Western Heritage. Deanne is always very kind and helpful whenever I need assistance. I am pleased with the service and the comfort of the staff.
We usually stay here while driving to LA. The rooms are clean and they have security in the parking lot. The breakfast is decent to get your day started. We will always stay here as we pass through Stockton.
PROS: - The front desk lady with blonde hair, long eyelashes, raspy voice, tattoos was seriously the sweetest and extremely professional. Although all the instructions/rules were on the contract and attached to the card keys, she repeated all of it before we could even read it. She pays very close attention to all details to cover all the bases. - I love that Best Western called me the day after to ask how my stay was and asked permission to send me a survey. - Very clean establishment, lots of parking, elevator in C building, and my room was clean. - My room had a coffee machine with K-cups, microwave, tv, bathroom looked really nice and barely used, etc. - The air conditioner works really well and is super easy to use! Kept my room cold! CONS: - Accepts only major credit cards. Does not accept cash. GENERAL: - Due to how affordable this stay was (under $100 for one King bedroom, including taxes & fees), how sweet and knowledgeable the staff were, and a wonderful room - I will definitely come back!
Been staying at this hotel for a few weeks now and the only complaint I have is since I work in construction and start early it would be nice if breakfast started at 5 instead of 6. Decent hotel love that Food4Less is in the same parking lot
We broke down on the 99 and need a place to stay with 6 other people and they fit the bill, the pool was clean, hot tub was luke warm. But it took the stress off the kids and allowed us to make a plan of action to continue our journey.
Well kept, clean and great value, friendly and helpfull staff The breakfast area was clean and organized food was good. Best western will be my to go to hotel from now on and I will recommend to friends and family with no doubt.
You cannot beat the value here. Parking, breakfast, and wifi included. A teeny bit on the rough side but CLEAN and not scary. So if you're looking for something fancy this isn't it but it's definitely decent and we felt comfortable with our family. John Williams who monitors the breakfast in the morning is such a sweet man. We enjoyed chatting with him when we went for breakfast each day (we stayed several days). We will most likely stay here next time we come to town and will continue to recommend it to others.
5 star hotel. Staff were very professional and courteous. while checkin inn there was a some trouble outside and the security staff were pretty good at dealing with the matter. the facility is clean, well maintained and lots a great amenities within the room. The breakfast was an awesome buffet one of the best I ever had in years and lots a option to choose from..
The room was clean and had great bed, tv with lots of channels, strong internet, great continental breakfast, friendly staff. Location was great close to the stores and family we were visiting. I would recommend to friends and families and will be staying here again when I come to stockton
The hotel was average. The dog friendly area is confined to the ground floor next the parking lot and freeway. The bed linens and blanket did not seem fresh. It is convenient to downtown Stockton and reaturants
The staff especially Deanne go above and beyond , I am disabled and they made sure to accommodate me in every way possible even bringing me my breakfast, that would be the employee name Deanne ,from the moment I arrived she was very accommodating!
Horrible staff: the receptionist couldn't find our reservation because she was incapable of looking for the first name. The hotel looks abandoned and the location is horrible. The rooms are old and not comfy at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
The room was dirty and the noise caused us to check out in the middle of the night. The floor and bathroom were dirty. I found a nail a vape and big chunk of debris in the room. There was a spider in the shower.
I stayed 4nights with my kids. We really enjoyed the breakfast and when my daughter got sick during the night, the front desk provided clean bedding after hours of housekeeping. I also used the convenient laundry room for guests.
We wanted to try a different Best Western on our trip. This one is a Best Western Plus so I booked without reading the reviews. First mistake. I have no idea how this hotel met the Best Western minimum standards let alone having a Plus. It was on a sketchy area. Poor lighting in the parking lot. Surly clerk at check in. Even though we had our dog with us we were on the second floor of a separate building. It was a trek through locked gates and doors. The room was plain and the bedding I am assuming was clean but stained on pillows and bottom sheet. Bathroom floor didn't look clean. So disappointing. If we had just driven 9 hours, I would have found another hotel. We went down to get another card keyed for my husband and I asked the clerk about my rewards points. She then smiled and acknowledged I was a BW Rewards member and offered me something from there snack selection. I would not recommend this hotel nor would I stay there again.
Never stay here this hotel has roaches, elevator not working and if your disabled you have to take the stairs up to your room or you have to wait for someone to try to fix the elevator, the fire alarm the sprinkler in the bathroom once you take a shower it start leaking and area is horrible. They need to hire security to do their jobs instead of sitting around. This experience has me not staying at a best Western ever again.
Rooms were clean. Heater was a little to loud. Breakfast was very good, nobody went away hungry. Staff made me fell right @ home. Rooms had sprinkler for fire. Tv channels were limited, but had plenty of news. There was lots of parking spaces & they were well lighted. I will stay here again.
Overall the Inn was very nice. Breakfast was great and the room was clean. We were a little worried about the safety of our car because of homeless people and local hoodlums lurking around, but all went well.
Recently staying here and was booked through hotwire.com. It was one of the hot deals. So overall it was about $100. It is located near the Food 4 Less shopping center. Received two keys to open gates to enter buildings and open hotel room. The bedroom itself was spacious and clean. However it had a odor from having the mini fridge left slightly open. I stayed on the first floor near the gate and so it was busy and noisy. The walls were thin so you could hear the tv and conversations of your neighbors. The room also smelled smoky for being a non smoking room. Room had mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast was decent but limited choices compared to other Best Westerns. Staff was helpful and friendly at check in and breakfast. Would recommend for a quick stay.
Bed bug, filthy carpet, friendly staff, great breakfast. They have a church group, you can host events here. There is a grocery store next door and mall across the street. Fitness room is okay. They have a laundry room.
very nice and very supportive staff, Desk clerk went out of her way to make sure my antique truck was in a location she considered more safe. She also went out of her way to be sure I knew where my room was by asking a security guard to show me. the facilty is quite large, beautiful pool and surroundings.
The breakfast offerings there were top notch, the staff was friendly and welcoming and the bed was comfortable other than that.... The air freshener in the halls is overpowering. The a/c in our room would not come on throughout the night no matter how low we turned it, so we were hit and uncomfortable. The unit also had a burning type smell in the morning, it was reported. Their attempt at an update failed and the work was shoddy. There was no luggage valet in the room so the only place to put your bag was on the floor or on the other bed. The curtains would not close all the way so light shown in all night. The door did not fit well and light also showed all night long, almost as if we had a light on all night The shower curtain was too short or the shower bar was too high, curtain wouldn't stay inside the tub. The carpet was dirty, had stains and smelled, maybe that is why the air freshener was so strong.
This BW was probably nice at one time but it's not now. My room never got cleaned during the three day business stay even after I asked for help. The desk staff were not helpful and lectured me on how Covid has changed service, oh brother I'm tired of that excuse for not do your job. The homeless hanging around the property also creates an unsafe feeling for folks coming from out of town
I was originally concerned heading to hotel in Stockton; but was pleasantly surprised by Hotel. I like the older style rooms. Nice courtyard area. secured facility. Staff was nice & friendly; big room with sliding glass door to pool & courtyard area. Kitchen area was very HOT :(
Stopped there for the night while heading to San Francisco. Big hotel with about 200 rooms. David helped us check in and he was very nice. Room clean and quiet. Courtyard nice. Breakfast was great! Only thing was trying to find a place to park close to our room.
From my initial check in to the morning I checked out was not as smooth as it should have been. The clerks need more training in Professional Etiquette. Housekeeping should be able to speak English too
I've seen a car, and even a small room, become a "hot box" for weed. This is the first time I have seen an entire hotel become a hot box. We had to ask for a new room because one of our rooms smelled so strongly of skunky pot. The breakfast excellent. I would think so, maybe that was because we had the munchies from all the second hand chronic we smoked (including my kids). Never going to stay there again. If you like to smoke doobies, this is DEF your place.
Drug paraphernalia and young kids in the parking lot, homeless person wandering around and no security in sight. Won't be returning. Rooms comfortable and free parking. Breakfast buffet uninspiring but enough to eat.
Of all the hotels I been travel for business. This is the very best and service hotel I ever been. Lovin it. Very clear and very good Morning breakfast. Great and staff are very friendly. Will definitely return to stay again.
Traveling sales rep .. This place is perfect. Location right off freeway. Food 4 Less one minute walk. Laundry room that works and is clean. Clean sparkling pool and clean HOT hot tub ...AND!!! The breakfast. They cook it .. no microwaves like Holiday Inn. Yuck. The sausages are seared and the eggs are real and delicious. Same with potatoes everything .. freshly cooked and tasty,
I'm writing this as I'm sitting in my room sweating!!! The hallways are all at least 98 degrees, the room was even hotter when we entered!! This little Klunky air conditioner is doing nothing to cool down the room since it is expelling hot air as it blows out the cool air. The elevator is super scary. I don't know how this hotel got any good reviews!!?! I won't even go into all the other dirty details like the bathroom doorknob not working and the pool being out of service as they all could have been overlooked by me if not for the 105 degree room!! I absolutely do NOT recommend this hotel!!
Very clean room. Easy check in/out. Every staff we encountered was kind and friendly without being fake. Workout room was exactly what we needed after a day if car traveling. I wish the ice machine was on every floor, but that's my only real complaint.
I booked for one day and ended up extending for 1 more. Was charged double for the second day. Then I had to pay an extra 40 on top of that to keep my same room. Nope won't stay here again. Also my sink and bathtub didn't drain properly.
I have family in Stockton and usually stay with them when visiting. I was going to bring my dogs a needed a place to stay with them. I didn't end up bringing the dogs but stayed here anyway. The property was central to everywhere I needed to go for the weekend. For a holiday weekend the price was very reasonable and the property itself surpassed my expectations. The staff was very friendly and my only wish is that the pool was open. Otherwise zero complaints.
Checking in was received very rudely by the front desk. Very unprofessional. There was an awful smell coming from the toilet. The shower faucet fell into the tub - we were not all able to shower. Cockroaches on the property. Woke up full of bug bites. Were asked to leave our table at breakfast. The juice machine nozzles were removed - could not get a drink or even water. Receive dirty looks when I asked for utensils. Turned the lights off while I was eating. Just ridiculous overall.
Booked a suite for 4 guests no tv worked room smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room stains on the bed and carpet just terrible elevator was very scary. Front clerk advised me that he would leave a note on all issues and of course no note was left
The Hotel is located in a very nice location. They share a parking lot with a grocery store that you can walk to and there is plenty of parking so you don't have to worry about finding a spot to park.
I adore this location. It is always a pleasant stay. The staff is extremely friendly & polite. Check in is always a breeze. Breakfast is great. Housekeeping is extremely quick when ordering extra towels. I will always pick this location when in this area.
If you want to spend your good money staying in a homeless shelter, this is the place for you. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with housing the homeless but I don't want to pay good money to join them. I paid for what I thought was a quality hotel. I was very disappointed & was constantly on my guard, concerned for my safety.
The breakfast was great. The hotel smells weird. The staff were mostly good but they have a few bad apples that ruin customer experience. The beds are uncomfortable and cheap. I have been to better best westerns.
Excellent stay, location and price. To say the least I will definitely be back in the future and would definitely recommend to family, friends and business associates. The staff is friendly and definitely helpful.
Friendly hotel very helpful workers amazing food as well as well kept rooms super clean Houskeeping did an amazing job quiet neighborhood I have no complainants will be stay here again. Loved it very much
Takes two card keys to access the room from the parking lot, which the desk does not tell the guest. There is so much construction equipment and storage lockers that there is insufficient parking for guests. The hotel has a bar attached to it, and people stand outside the office and in the parking lot, in a drunken state, yelling and cursing at each other. The staff even allows drunks to stand in front of various entrances guzzling whiskey and other hard spirits, all the while yelling at people. I guess the hotel is located in a run down part of town so police sirens all night long are a way life in Stockton. I would stay away from this one. Overall, an embarrassing property in the Best Western list.
French toast, waffles with whipped cream, sausage bacon eggs bagels cream cheese toast half dozen cereals half dozen juices hot cocoa. Worth the price of the stage just for the mass of sumptuous breakfast
Great stay rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the hotel was is a great location to where we needed to be. The price was well worth the stay and we were able to book with ease Thank you
The service from employees seemed unconcerned and not caring of how the hotel should operate. The two rooms I had been in were disgusting- I asked for a good clean room for my family we got a broken rolling chair!! dirty rags with hair! Bed stains on pull out couch with no sheet. Had cords hanging from The closet from the iron! Dirty a/c unit filled with dust and dirt! Windows are full of dirt/ my kids have allergies they woke up couldn't breathe out their noses! the floors dirty in both rooms I was in! I would not recommend families staying here unless you Have no other choice! The hotel smells like smoke! Just DISGUSTING DISGUSTING DISGUSTING!!
Avoid this hotel at all cost. Day & Night was an experience that was not enjoyable. Suspicious gang activity and drug use in hallway and guest rooms. Gang member handing around front entry and lobby area. Loud arguing and fight in hallway (Building A). Smoking and drug use in hallway and guest rooms.
Was given 2 keys; one to open room and one to open gates/hallway. Was told hotel was in process of changing locks. I'm okay with that, however, neither key would open room door. Had to go back and get a new key. Clerk was nice, but overwhelmed. Two high school wrestling teams were also checking in. Security was sitting in dark by back door playing on his phone. Overall the room was well used. Breakfast was the one bright spot!
Great place to stay. Staff was friendly & helpful . But the breakfast was by far, thee greatest. What a great breakfast!! The ladies were real friendly & kool. Thanks BW for such a great stay. See u soon.
We were in town during family get together for the indian wedding. The staff was awesome. The room was so spacious. This was the 1st time we stayed here and it was beautiful. We look forward to possible coming back in the future. We have absolutely no complaints!
Clean and quiet. No problem with sleeping. Bed was comfortable. Close to stores, malls, restaurants, and other useful resources. Checked in checked out no problem. The hotel is right on the corner can not miss it.
The property was what a person traveling through an unknown area would expect. Everything was clean outside as was the halls. When c I entered my room was a bit different. 1) found a used lottery ticket on the floor of room when I checked in. 2) when I showered, there was a soiled wash cloth on the shower curtain rod. 3) when I checked the refrigerator in the room there was a half-drank 20ounce soda bottle in the mini fridge. Not a clean room.
This was my first time to stay at a Best Western in several years and was just as disappointed as the last time which was in Federal Way, Washington. I typically stay at a Comfort Suites or a Clarion Inn but neither were available on this trip.
DON'T STAY HERE! Our mattress had blood on the top corner, not a little, a lot. The sirens are constant and the wall are way to thin. Our room smelled like chemicals and stale cigarettes. We ended up in another hotel in Elk Grove. After some research, which in should have done before booking this place, I found out that we were in the highest crime area in Stockton.
This was my first time staying in Stockton. Heard a lot of bad things about the city but the whole staff here made my stay awesome. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely recommend.
As I arrived to check the lobby was busy however the clerks moved through the check in process fairly quickly. When I got to my room it smelled like someone had been smoking and the dumped a bottles of Cologne on the carpet. My room was adjacent to an exit door where people were banging and screaming through the door for hours. I was on the first floor so I also had to listen to people stomping all night long. Needless to say I will NOT be staying at this property in the future.
The team from front desk kitchen housekeeping were all so helpful friendly and kind I would absolutely recommend staying at the Best western hotel Stockton to any of my family and or friends The staff made my stay pleasant much appreciated
People work very hard to make sure that your visit is well and that you're welcome, The breakfast is good everyone out the front desk was helpful and the people who clean the room did an excellent job
Hotel is located in a sketchier part of town. One of the exterior door facing a busy supermarket was obviously broken and a complete security hazard. Unmasked Front desk people were not friendly or helpful. By far room was the worst. Entire building smelled of cigarettes. Walls were paper thin, and the bed was very uncomfortable.
The motorccycles at the check in should have been enough. Lobby was nice, but when they wanted a "$250" security deposit we should have left. Drove arounb back and there was a pool party going on...Music blasting and women walking around in lingerie and hair curlers. Broken beer bottles littered the parking lot. Saw a drug deal going down. People sleeping in cars. Grocery shopping carts abandoned in parking lot. We left and called the 800 number and asked for our money back. They complied. Drove 50 miles down the road to Murphy CA.
Best stay everyone and everything was amazing. Front desk was Best customer service experience. Housekeeping was friendly and and was humble, they ask how day was going. Thank you for the Best service in all my experiences with hotels. Service upon request and fast. Clean rooms with fridge and microwave and lots of channels. Thank you have a blessed day
On the positives the rooms were nice and enjoyed the breakfast waffles sausage eggs lots of options. Overall not a big fan of the neighborhood and the parking at the hotel was terrible spots were very small and there was some overlap with the food for less parking lot. Check in process went slow for us but they did have two people working. Next time we go through Stockton will try a different place
I m a Best Western select card holder. I have stayed approximately 1500 nights over the last 20 years on business. They serve a sumptuous excellent breakfast with eggs sausage bacon roasted red potatoes with a crispy skin, plus waffles cereals juices full endless serve yourself restaurant environment of food. I am 72, in a wheelchair, and their maintenance and housekeeping goes out of their way to accommodate me, including offering to wash my truck for me haha. they're free upgrades to Best Western rewards people is a definite plus.
This place is the epitome of the OPPOSITE of Customer Friendly! I will NEVER come back here again. The gal at the front was pleasant enough, but when she informed me they would take a $100 deposit off my card to protect them from any damage I would cause, that was insulting enough, but when she further told me that it wouldn't be returned until a week after our visit, THAT REALLY ticked me off. Do the deposit, if you must, but don't hold my money for a full week!!! I have never had any deposit asked of me at any BW before now and I am a loyalty customer. IF THIS WERE THE WAY THEY ALL OPERATED I'D NEVER DARKEN THE DOOR OF ANY BW AGAIN!!! The second irritating thing here was that the front desk staff gave me 2 key-cards and told me we were in building 'B' ...and it was 'over in that direction' past building 'A'. We found it, but what they didn't tell us was that we would need to use both cards to get through the gates and doors between us and our room. Had it not been for a worker 9who happened to be there when I was trying everything to get in the first gate), who was nice enough to explained and show me how the 2 keys work, it would have been an exercise in frustration figuring them out - and the front desk gave me no warning or explanation! Stupid!! I made it to the room, finally, only to discover it stinks too. Some cleaning chemical perhaps. It is terrible. This whole business stinks. Sleep in your vehicle if you have to but don't waste your time and money on this hotel. Yick! Repulsive.
One of our rooms got broken into. Checked in, went to spend time with family, came back in the evening and found used towels on the floor, ramen cooked in a cup on the desk, shower and beds used. Tried to call front desk from the other room we reserved but the phone did not work (cord was torn from the wall).
This place has a 3 diamond rating with AAA and I have always had great experiences with Best Western in the past, especially their Plus locations, so decided to book for a week long stay. The cost for my stay was much less expensive than other places in the area as well. My electronic keycards worked some of the time. They stopped working completely to get me into the main building. All parking spaces directly up against the building were lit at night but there were not enough spaces available for everyone. Some people had to park in a back parking lot during their stay. Even though there were 3 or 4 light standards around the parking lot, the lights never came on once during my stay, making it a perfect area for vandalism or worse. I did NOT feel safe at all anywhere on the grounds at night and stayed in my room from dusk until dawn. Wi-Fi was available but every device I had almost screamed at me saying how unsecure and unsafe using the hotel's Wi-Fi was. Should I return to Stockton in the future, I will definitely stay somewhere else regardless of the increased cost. Sad to say, I definitely got what I paid for.
The world's loudest ice machine is located in this hotel. You get to figure out where your room is and where to park on your own. Parking may or may not be available anywhere near the entrance leading to your room. The "fitness" room was the most depressing I've ever seen. Both pool and hot tub had significant sediment, extremely off-putting.
The hotel rooms smelled, homeless people staying the hotel and outside, you can never reach the front desk, outside gates were broken so anybody can walk in, remotes had no batteries so we bought batteries, no blow dryer in the room had to buy one, no Iron in the room. Breakfast is the same every morning.
Check in and out was very easy. Staff was very kind and understanding. Breakfast was good also. conveniently located next to grocery store. Rooms are nice size but need decor update as furniture is really old and dirty.
Booked a one night stay through Best Western. Received a confirmation email from Best Western with room rate of $130 including taxes. Upon arrival we were told confirmation was not valid and when the desk was shown the email we were told that they didn't honor third party reservations. Because it was late, we stayed anyway but paid $160 for a very mediocre room. Would never have booked at that rate. Very dishonest.
Do not book this hotel under any circumstances. The rooms were filthy and not properly stocked. My sheets were stained upon check-in and despite telling the front desk TWICE about the issue, no action was taken. My fellow “guests” smoked marijuana all night long like it was their profession and noise, shouting, doors slamming were a constant issue. The area around the hotel is not secure at all. Homeless people took up campsites in the parking lot. Safe parking is not available. I was traveling on business and we needed to park our equipment trailer at the nearby community college because the campus police told us we shouldn't park anything valuable on that property! The lobby looks acceptable, don't be fooled into thinking the rest of the hotel meets the same standard. All of these issues and it was still $130 a night…robbery! Truly a miserable experience.
My brother passed away. I did not want to stay with family. I needed to be alone. Arrived at the hotel and found the room had roaches, a/c worked poorly, lots of loitering outside throughout the night.
I was only here for a one night stay on a Saturday, so my comments should be taken as such. First the good: check in & check out were great, very helpful and easy. The property itself was very nice, fantastic lobby, good sized room, clean and no issues. Now the not so good: location, nothing really close by. There was a list of near by resturants and shopping on the back of the proprty map, but everything was at least a mile away. And the area, the best way to describe it: "what's wrong with this picture." From the security guard patrolling the parking lot on a Saturday afternoon, I just didn't get a good vibe from everything else I saw. Again, I want to stress I was there only one night, so I could be completely off base. I did drive the neighborhood behind the motel some, it looked like your basic blue collar area. But things like a couple of homeless people walking around, parking permits for the motel lot, some of which was fenced and gated off. I just didn't get a good vibe about the area, which is the only reason I gave a lower rating. The property itself was fantastic and the staff were great. Next time I going to Stockton, I'd have to think twice about staying here. It's really about 30% over priced just because of the location.
For being a Best Western property this is the worst one I've ever stayed at very bad neighborhood rooms are dirty staff is very nice just very old property. There's nowhere to park, I received a parking ticket from Stockton PD.. I do not recommend this establishment
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Anything you can think of wrong with a hotel, this one has it. Bed bugs, cockroaches, stained sheets, smells of weed, toilet not even flushed (let alone cleaned!) from previous use, food all over the carpet from previous guests, vomit in the hallway, very limited parking and people loitering outside making it feel unsafe. Someone tried to open my door in the middle of the night. Fridge is so loud it sounds like a helicopter is taking off in the room. Dogs barking from another room. Guests playing loud music at 4am. And small square pillows (who has square pillows on a bed?). We were so tired we stayed here but please please please don't put yourself through it.
The staff was really nice. The hotel not good. They upgraded my room for me, right next to the elevator that goes all through the night and every 5 minutes starting at 6am. They should use these rooms as a last resort. I thought it was hot water pipes inside our walls it was so loud. It is 97 here so I needed the air conditioner which made horrible noises the whole night. It is no smoking as per Ca. State law, yet guests were smoking on their balcony and it was coming in my room when I would try to get fresh air. When I asked different people that were working here, where is the smoking area, they all said they didn't think there was one. I showed them 2 different people smoking and nothing was said to them. Then I entered our hallway in building A and it smelled like mold and mildew really bad. They are trying to cover up the smell with sprays that were making me sick, so I had to open my door and instead get smoke from the guests smoking. If they started actually charging the smoking fee, I bet that would stop. Also signs to a smoking area would be a really good thing. Besides customer service being really good, this was an F!!!
We stayed at this hotel about five years ago when my mother was in the hospital nearby, and were really quite pleased. Unfortunately, in the ensuing years, the property has deteriorated -- not so much in that it is falling apart, because it's not -- but because it's not what I expect from the Best Western name. I'm to the point that when I see "Best Western Plus" it translates to "better than an EconoLodge". But it also translates to "this is a low-end hotel that has paid for the least expensive Best Western designation", That being the case, it means that I'll no doubt spend a night here or there at one, but not several consecutive nights.
room was clean having a balcony was great, breakfast was a full breakfast, had many choices from eggs to cereal and fruit all included in the price, pool was nice and clean, had plenty of louge chaires would definately stay again
I stayed in Room 337 on Aug. 10th, 2021. When we got to our room our TV screen said "start scanning channels now" we didn't know what that meant, so we called the front desk and got no answer. Another occupant from a room across from us tried to fix the problem but was not able to, so she went to the front desk to notify them of our problem. Maintenance did fix the problem. The big problem is when we came back from dinner, our room had roaches crawling on the bathroom floor and around the sink. Next to our bed there were roaches crawling on the wall and onto the floor, also our TV screen kept freezing every few minutes and then would play again. Called the front desk, but got no answer. I will never ever stay at a Best Western again, especially this one.
The ‘pool view' room was a view of the gate and parking lot, we couldn't even see the pool. No blanket on bed, just sheets. Breakfast was out of several items. Noisy. Barely any parking, people were just parking in the middle of the road blocking other guests cars in. A/C made loud clunking noise.
We've stayed at Best Western hotels in the past and had decent to good experiences. This, by far, was the worst. We picked Best Western Stockton because it was the closest to my family. I should have stayed at the next closest hotel. They have a smoking policy but our room and halls wreaked of cigarettes and marijuana. The halls had no ventilation. The room - leaking toilet, sticky carpet in a few areas, stains on the bed cover, jewelry left from previous guests in plain sight. This was the least enjoyable trip I have taken with my family. I will never stay there again.
Our company had at least five employees stay at this hotel. We all had problems with bugs (earwigs and cockroaches) and the rooms smelled like old cigars. There were people loitering in the parking lot at all hours of the day. One of our group had to change rooms twice. The cockroaches were so bad we joked that we should arrange play dates for our cockroaches.
This is one of the worst hotels I've stay at in Stockton for numerous reasons. First of all, there's a very strong and deep apathetic approach to the venue from the staff and guests' perspective. Next, there is massive deferred maintenance on the property from irrigation leaks to sloping stairs due to settling issues. There is trash, clothes and cigarette butts all over the property. Guests block the drive way and don't care if there are in your way. On top of this, guests are doing drugs, smoking pot inside the hallways and slamming doors at “Zero Dark Thirty,” resulting in “Disturbing the Peace” and not being able to get any sleep after a long and hard day at work. There are bugs, flies and other critters in the rooms and the remote control doesn't work for the TV, forcing to watch only one channel. I am never staying here again!
Very well satisfied for what I needed for my short stay I could have actually moved in if I had enough time and money it was very well furnished and enjoyable! Food 4 less is a one minute walk away!!!!!
The team at this Best Western was very friendly from the front desk to the cleaning personnel. They made me and my partner feel welcome. The only problem I saw was that it is a non smoking building and the entire hallways smelled like smoke.
The front desk person who checked us in was very rude and gave my husband and I lots of attitude. It was 3am in the morning and we were very tired. We even called a couple hours ahead of time to let her know we would be in at that time. There were 4 other employees/people sitting around outside of the front desk area not doing anything just talking. It was the worst experience we've ever had at a best western. Also the bed was very old and creeky sounding and not comfortable at all, which we got a king bed and thought it'd be more luxurious. Also the front desk girl who checked us in gave us little instruction to where we could find our room, and told us nothing about breakfast or anything. Worst service ever!
Front desk receptionist was rude, hotel smells like cigarettes, rooms smell like wet carpet. No trash can in room, door looked like it didn't lock well. Pool close, lobby never answered the phone when I called. Side building doors do not work! Of course we were not told, some had to walk up then down the stairs with our things. Horrible neighbor and the “security “ looks just as dangerous as the homeless people around. Never staying here again.
Don't stay here. I did not feel safe here at all. Zero stars. There are people hanging out here like they live there. I heard that someone's car got broke into. Beware it may look clean on the outside but the inside is dirty. We stayed in a suite and the fold out matters was stained with urine and blood it was as flat as paper. Then we found food and garbage left. No one slept because we were scared and the mattress where so uncomfortable. My son got bit by something. It was so bad that we booked for two nights, we only stayed one night. I would have stay no nights! I have no idea how Best Western allows this place to represent them! We usually have very good experiences with Best Western.
Our car was vandalized in the hotel parking lot; we were parked right next to the building! Manager admitted that this is an unsafe area and that "things like this" used to happen all the time, now not as much. Despite their admitted problems, no cameras installed or warning signs posted. They supposedly employ 24 hour security, but NO ONE saw anything except a hotel guest that came by and told me he saw a man banging on the glass around midnight. The security guard on duty at the time we discovered the vandalism literally walked past us 3 times without stopping and inquiring what happened, if we needed help, etc. Another car also suffered vandalism that same night (customer reported while we were in the lobby trying to find a place to get the car fixed). There were issues with the room cleanliness as well (dirty bed covering and stained carpet).
I was looking to book a hotel that had a pool for my kids to swim in, and the pool pics looked nice and made us wanna stay. With all the virus stuff lately i figured I'd better call and ask if the pool is open so the kids didn't end up dissapointed, plus we only picked this one based on its pool.. I called and aftet a lot of ringing someone who sounded busy and a little short with me asked me to hold, which I did, I waited for about 30 minutes patiently and when they picked up finally they hung up on me immediately. Shoulda taken that as a sign to not stay there. Butte The other hotel a city or two down the highway that we almost stayed at instead had confirmed their pool was open when I called, so I thought there would be a chance best westerns was too fingers crossed. Well it wasn't, and there were many little things about the stay that were a little annoying. The line to check in was long and slow but that happens somtimes. This was not a weekend night but all the parking spots were full near our building and I had to park further down in a different lot. My key card worked fine to unlock the 2nd floor door when we took stairs but the card did not work on the first floor door that leads to the entrance area which was inconvenient for a parent alone with kids.. the air conditioner kinda worked but seemed to work sometimes and other times just not turn on. I was never told anything about when breakfast was or what the wifi password was... the wifi instructions in the room didn't work at all. They said to connect to the wifi and a log in page would load on the browser to activate guest wifi but on all 3 of our devices including galaxy and Apple it just asked for a password and no log in page on a browser loaded. The clerk at the desk was not answering the phone that rang a lot while we checked in so I gave up on wifi. I went early to get breakfast and was told they didn't have a hot meal that day and were just giving a paper bag with an apple orange granola bar and blueberry muffin.. not ideal. But seriously how are customers supposed to find out that the pool and fitness center are still closed bc of covid? I booked through the best western site and not a 3rd party and there was no information regarding this, and since they hang up on people or don't answer there's no way to find out. At least they let me cancel the 2nd night. I think besides the pool and call issues the other most annoying thing was how at 11am the employee went down the hall knocking loudly on each door saying "front desk" (which u can hear EVERYRHING people say in the hall even with your room Door closed it was awful), she wouldn't leave until you opened the door and answered if you were checking out or not. I've never had a hotel do that instead of just calling your room phone, I found it really unsettling. With how much we could hear any noise or talking in the hall I assumed she could hear me when I said through door that we were packing up to leave and were changing, she kept knocking until I got decent and came to door and told me she couldn't hear me through the door. It was just all kind of a hot mess.. we stay at hotels a lot and this isn't normal I'm pretty sure. At least the beds weren't bad and the fridge/microwave/TV with a good guide were all convenient. I'd say skip this one. I'm almost positive I paid an extra $12 to have a "pool view" room and I couldn't see the pool at all as a giant tree obstructed all of my view of the pool. The balcony was a nice touch but watch out for the $300 fee if u smoke in your room (prob balcony too I'd bet).. the front desk people were nice and helpful when i needed them tho. Just wish they hadn't been so rude and hung up on me after a very long wait. That's not cool..
If you enjoy sleeping in a gross room full of dead cockroaches, ants trails coming from the window , and a urine stained mattresses then this hotel is for you. Also absolutely nothing is open no pool no fitness center like nothing so if you're booking for either of those amenities go somewhere else. It's June 13 2021 plenty of hotels have open fitness centers but they're just lazy and cheap. Really there's probably a million other places to stay go somewhere else
Lots of homeless around. I think this is one of the hotels that gives out low income vouchers or something. There's a guy walking around the courtyard with a pit pull that is growling and jumping at people. The hallways smell like weed and smoke. Some of my family that stayed in other rooms said their room wreaked of pot. There's a pair of someone's socks and a weed bag behind our nightstand. Our pre-wrapped coffee cups were wet between the cups and smelled like stale marijuana. Our coffee maker had stinky water sitting it. Our towels had stains on them. There are people that walk the hallways and scream and yell throughout the night. Did I mention a strong marijuana smell EVERYWHERE you go? I definitely did not feel safe walking around this hotel.
Lobby staff was the only thing good about this experience. If it wasn't close to midnight & hadn't been on the road all day would have went somewhere else, room had bad odor, lots of loud outside noise, cockroaches in the room, room didn't appear to have been clean, stayed less then 6 hours!!
Floor was not vacuumed, both beds had blood stains, odor was bad, ask for new sheets. No order in that hotel. People yelling all night and smelling like weed. Not a family hotel. All other hotels booked. Had to go buy cleaning supplies n air freshener
People live there, Family living right above us with kids very noisy they are nervous being in there and around this place with my 10-year-old daughter, Dirty on the outside cars been parked in parking lots several months have all kinds of cobwebs on them just felt very uneasy
This hotel is filled with unhoused people who are loud, smoke weed, and don't wear masks. The breakfast was gross. In addition, the beds was rock hard and the breakfast is over at 8:00 am even on the weekend. Plus, the front desk didn't know how to use my gift certificates. I will never come back and will be contacting the BW management.
We have stayed at many Best Westerns over the last 15 years on our drive from WA state to AZ for the winter and coming back in the spring. Our experience at the Best Western Plus Heritage Inn in Stockton was the worst ever! I did regret that I used 40,000 points but after my review to the hotel they did refund my points. At 8:30 pm we were tempted to check out, forfeit my points and drive further north but we had already been on the road for over 12 hours. When they sent us to our room there were people sitting & smoking on their deck. One woman was standing by the sliding door between her room and the outside smoking as well. You could smell "left over cigarette smell" inside the building and the room where we were suppose to stay! When we got to our room there were hairs on the pillow. We went back to the desk and I said I thought this was a non-smoking hotel! She sent security to investigate and when they came back they said they couldn't smell anything. Well, maybe they smoke and that is why! We got changed to another building. Now it goes down hill even more! I will share the pictures of the blanket that was on the bed. It had a big worn hole plus stains that were unbecoming to anyone! The sheets were on the yellow side and the towels had stains as well. Where the laundry was there were white pieces of paper or lint all over the hallway. Our daughter's room had stains & holes on the blanket and chairs as well. No offense to the cliental that stay there but they smoke cigarettes, pot and God knows whatever else they do! The next morning we read a review on Trip Advisor which said it was a hotel for people that do drugs and for prostitutes! My main concern was the cleanliness and the condition of the bedding especially the blanket! I was appalled that a Best Western would ever be in this condition. Finally, we couldn't eat the food the next morning because it wasn't any good.
I have stayed at many Best Western hotels and never experienced anything like this. We had driven for 12 hrs to visit family, we checked in at 6pm, dropped our bags in our room and went to visit family. There were 2 reception clerks at check in, the person we had was helpful, the other was rude to customers and sat about avoiding work despite the line of customers. The parking lot was sketchy and covered with garbage. Because we were with family we didn't get to explore our room until 11pm.Our room had a king bed but 3 small pillows ( throw cushion size), the fridge had no shelves, there was no hand towel or face cloth, there was someone's hair in the tub/ shower. The room smelled of cigarettes and weed The throw lock on the door didn't work, there were supposed to be 2 ice machines in the building, one was broken the other was missing. As it was so late and we were both dead tired we just decided to suffer through it. Needless to say we did not hang around in the morning to risk breakfast so we can't comment on that.
Hotel is not in a good area. They do the best they can, using private security and gating off all exterior access to the property, but the parking lot was pretty sketchy. You can tell this was a great place back in the day. The rooms desperately need a refresh. The mattress was old and lumpy and the room smelled of stale smoke and too much air freshener. Not the hotel's fault, but it was noisy all night long.
I've stayed at a lot of hotels in my life, but this one is the worst. Ghetto area, crackheads all over the place, homeless all over the property, trash everywhere, broken glass in the parking lot from a recent car break in. Entire hotel, inside the buildings, hallways, and rooms smell like cigarettes and weed so much I probably got contact high. Room was decent but all my towels were stained with poop and dirt, not one, but all towels were stained. Went to the front desk to get new towels and they told me they would send some up, they never did. Hallways are loud with people arguing, partying, and smoking weed in rooms and stairwells. Someone smoking, some kind of drug I can't put my finger on, either meth or heroin, in a room a couple doors down from me which made half the hallway smell like that. They have security but never see them do anything besides sit in the lobby and joke around. I debated on sleeping in my car some of the time because of the zombie homeless that wander the property at night and start looking in cars. The front desk girls are nice though and the lobby looks nice, literally the only things good with the hotel, other than that, I'd rather sleep in my car.
I really enjoy staying staying here at the best western very clean good customer service complimentary breakfast close to the stores quiet place nice rooms ice machine works i will return and advise people to try it out
This is not appropriate for business travel or for leisure. If your running a prostitution ring or dealing in something illegal this is the spot for you. It's unbelievable how loud it is you can hear the entrance door slamming open and shut like it's in your face and the back and forth of traffic all night long will definitely keep you up. I feel sorry for the staff and security who tries there best to combat the problem with no success.
The damn toilet didn't work properly. Sketchy neighborhood. The staff was very professional and friendly. Appreciated the security guard walking around our vehicles late at night. The breakfast was more then expected. Biscuits and gravy wasn't bad.
1. This hotel has a stand-alone lobby with four or five buildings built around it, all centering the pool. We arrived at 10:30 p.m. and only 1 of the 5 perimeter entrances that we had to walk through to find our building was locked and secured. The rest of the gates/doors were either propped open or just not locked. 2. Our building stunk of cigarette smoke, fresh and stale. When we complained, we were told the entire premise was smoke-free, but we saw multiple people smoking outside their rooms AND there was an official sign on building door designating it as as smoking building. How is that even allowed any more? 3. Our room did not have a single linen in it. No towels of any sort or even extra blankets. 4. My daughter's sheets were stained. 4. The front desk did not pick up the phone. We tried several times over 5 minutes before someone answered. When told about the lack of towels, she responded, "Sorry. We have a towel shortage. I have none to give you." When pressed, said she would go to the laundry room to see if she could find any clean ones. 5. We waited for at least 15 minutes with nothing. No one answered the phone when I called the front desk, so I had to walk back to the lobby. I was told the blankets and towels had been delivered, but... they delivered them to the wrong room. 6. Another trip back to the lobby (now it's after 11 p.m.). This time with a picture on my phone of the "smoking building." and to get towels and blankets. They literally did not have any towels to give us so we had to pack up our stuff and move to another room in another building that "should be clearer because the head house keeper stays there." Needless to say, NEVER going back. May not ever stay at a Best Western Plus again.
Stayed at this hotel for 5 days with my partner and it was really comfortable! We are long distance and typically stay at a motel 6 but we decided to check out Best Western and found out it was actually cheaper than renting a suite at Motel 6. The interior is much more pleasant looking in my opinion and I really enjoyed the restroom. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because the microwave heated really unevenly so it was a bit disappointing. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!
Worst hotel I ever stayed in. Very dirty, loud party's all night. Did not feel safe. Whole place smelled like dirty pub.(weed, alcohol) Staff didn't do anything to stop people from smoking and being loud all night. No one had masks.
Best hotel in town and surrounding areas, this one is my favorite! Rooms are quiet and cozy, I always sleep so peacefully, they have the most comfortable beds. I've stayed here for months at a time, so i can assure you that The price per night, the staff, cleanliness, hospitality and even their security is grade A. Tayler is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible, and the staff is equally as amazing. I've never had even the slightest issue here.
The hotel stay was fine overall but being my first time they could have explained to me how to get to my building. To get to building B you can cut thru the lobby. I had to get the security guard to help me out after I went out the front to the right like they said and ran into a dead end. Security guard was super helpful
Unfortunately because of my emperience during this stay I will no longer be using any Best Western property. I don't expect much from any hotel however, this was a very dissapointing stay. Many service providers (i.e. large restaurants, hotels/motels, and other merchants have forgotten that the customer is the back bone of their business. Everything about this stay was horrible. It all started when I tried to check-in. Imagine me thinking I had pre-booked the accomodations, with a confirmation number in hand, an email from American Express informing me that Best Western had charged $345.02 to my account, only to be told by the front desk person that I did not have a reservation. I just drove an hour from the airport to this hotel. I tired, and hungry and now I do not have a place to stay? Even after showing the woman behind the counter my confirmation number there was no record of it. She eventually did find that someone else was given my room. I can go on and on about this stay. Unfortunately I did not encounter anyone that exceeded my expectations. I do want to recognize your security guard and thank him for standing outside the door and smoking "pot" as he put it. Oh, I shouldn't forget the manager for being kind enough of allowing me to check-out early without charging me for the third night because I refused to stay since there was no power to building "B" and causing me to miss a business meeting so I could get back to grab my things to check-out. It freezing in that room and there was no hot water. From my understanding, the power was still out as of midnight. I should also mention those workers that nearly pushed me out of their way as they left the building. What a grand stay this was. {sarcasm}
This hotel is becoming a motel and putting new management to bring this place back to the way it was 5 years ago.. RULES this place needs rules and needs ground keepers to keep it clean... stop letting people hang out in the back area
Had to change rooms due to overwhelmingly cigarette and pot smell. Dark parking lot. The only security guard I saw walking down the hall had no mask and didn't care about the smoking smell. Walked the dog in the adjacent neighborhood which was fine until a drunk messed up guy tried to stop us. Never staying here again. Couldn't wait to leave.
This hotel is the worst place and the last time that I booked any kind of reservation with him and I've been booking hotel stays for the last year and my recent stay which was in October of 2020 this hotel has turned into a disgusting crime infested place worse than Motel 6 they have no security cameras and their hired security guards while this is put it this way they walk around smoking weed and then going to the car and just fall asleep great security joke as night falls you her nothing but gunshots ambulance police sirens lights flashing inside the room even though your curtains are closed you have all of these people staying at these hotels are all gangsters and things and drug dealers that's what you get at your stay at the Best Western Heritage Inn and their management well he is a real jerk he has no heart and is a very foul man who would throw out a family and not hear you but to listen to these criminals who are not even supposed to be in the hotel now what kind of crap is that and as far as I'm concerned the front desk really got to get it together having to wait for 45 minutes just so they can figure out what's going on even though the reservation I booked ahead of time online and I've done this the same way each time I stayed there, they still did not know what they were doing and had me waiting forever just to check in as we were very tired and wanted to go to bed at that I asked the woman if my daughter could use the bathroom and she said you have to wait to have somebody walk you to there after the 45-minute wait for her to try to check me in, very unprofessional and very rude. girls need some better training, management really go back to class and learn some customer service skills because you guys are horrible and this breakfast on-the-go what a joke and apple a water and a little muffin that was stale for the price you guys ought to be leave it to the imagination I guess so to everyone if you like your car broken into windows busted out having to hear bunch of gunshots right above and cops all over in front and back of the hotel traffic and panhandlers then this was the place for you that's too bad you guys let yourself go way down in this community ghetto fide
Never gave me my refund for the room i couldn't make it to due to being stranded on the side of the freeway................................. I am very disappointed in how they handled the situation they told me twice they would give me a call and never followed up on the situation
The reviews stating that the area is sketch are right on. Other “guests” seem sketchy and randomly walking around. Parking lot is full off dirty dusty cars that haven't been driven in a while. This will make it difficult for you as a paying customer to find a space. Room had not been vacuumed (pic below) as there were pieces of red licorice and other food on the floor. That worries me as it's the time of COVID when everything should be EXTRA clean. Everything smells like smoke. It seems like a place for transitional housing for homeless which is not my idea of a great place to stay.
It's hard to believe there are good ratings for this hotel. Very noisy and not enough parking. No hair dryer in the room?!? We didn't even have a bath mat for the shower. Sketchy area - didn't feel safe taking the dog out at night. Additionally, they forced us to reserve a double queen room (we wanted a king) which cost more because we had a pet with us. We have been able to get king bed rooms at other hotels. Also, no good pet area outside the hotel. We had to go to the building next door with our dog. We will not be back!!
Room was fresh and clean, immediately felt comfortable upon arriving in the room. Only thing missing was an ice bucket, luckily I had some gallon sized zip lock bags. Everything was good and I really enjoy staying at this property
My mother, my husband and I rented a room here for three nights. I am having surgery down the road from here and we live out of town, so splurged on a room... On Expedia, this room's pictures look really good, so this is the hotel we picked. They do not tell you this hotel is on the shady AF side of town and that questionable characters stay and hang around here. I did not feel safe here. When we arrived, the front desk lady said she could not find our reservations. After a little research, she found it. After travelling for hours this was very frustrating. On the first night, my mom went to go take a bath and was unable to put the plug in the drain because a disgusting huge wad of black hair clogged it completely. (I have long red hair, she has short brown hair and hubby has very short brown hair. So I took the wad to the front desk and told the other lady there that during the pandemic, this being left behind tells me nobody cleaned the room. WOW!! Do they not know about COVID 19? Also, noticed dirty handprints on the walls. Honestly, I would not put my worst enemy in this room. See picture of wad.
Facility is rundown and not BW quality; room had smoke & sweat odor, no remote control, clock broken and flashing only, only 1 towel in room; requested new room but also poor quality, unsealed door with hallway noise; front Desk Sharon and Irene very polite & professional: Sharon switched rooms for us and apologized. Hispanic Maint guy also very polite, sincere, working hard for guests but facility is a dump!!
Why is this property 3.5 stars? I agree with the other 1 star reviewers. Once I checked in, we were in staying at the building in the back near the vacant graffiti laden drug store. Sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot and door ways. Non smoking? Don't think so. The hallways and room smell like stale cigarette smoke and MJ. Cigarette butts and trash in the hallways. When we got in the room, no towels, 1 roll of toilet paper, no tissue paper. Called the front desk numerous of times - no response. The next day, my elderly mom stayed at the hotel and tried to get these items. It took 5 times. Once I arrived back to the hotel around 6pm, my door was knocked on by 5 different sketchy people in a span of 10 mins. A rando was sitting at the hotel door next to me then knocked and jiggled my door handle. Called the front desk - no response. This kept on continuing and my mom who is new to this area was having a panic attack. We packed up and I went to the front desk to explain the situation. There were three law enforcement officers sitting on the chairs just chilling. Private patrol was at the front entrance. I told the receptionist the situation and where I was staying. Didnt even blink an eye. No sympathies.
Our stay here was a nightmare. A marihuana party going on throughout this motel. Elevators, hallways, courtyards...could not escape it. Hallways littered with food containers and misc. garbage. Breakfast was unavailable at 7:30 am!!! We were told that they simply: "RAN OUT OF FOOD...SORRY ABOUT THAT..."
I use to really enjoy staying at this hotel but within the last couple years it's gone way down. From the homeless people hanging around the hotel being loud and destructive at night, to the room's not being cleaned well and up kept right, plus the sad Togo breakfast bags you pick up since covid-19 makes me consider ever staying here again honestly. Everywhere is just gross there they need to clean up the inside and straighten up the bum activity outside before it's too late!
It appeared that the bedsheets needed to be replaced in our room. The housekeeper was contacted and sheets replaced. The hallway smelled like marijuana and the parking lot had debris scattered through out!
Hot breakfast replaced by sugary sweets. Absolutely no service cleaning room. Staff rude and unhelpful. Police called everyday. Shadiest location possible. There are zero security cameras. Roving security personnel useless. Found bag of dope in the parking lot, fiends and zombies roam the grounds. Horrible smell in hallway had to inform front desk someone might be deceased in one of the rooms. Friend got car window broken after second day. 5 cars were hit that day, another 5 a couple of days ago. Witnessed 10-15 cops carry one dude away and his duffle bag. Keys stop working at any given moment. I even tipped housekeeping after first cleaning. This within first month can't wait to see what next month brings. Coming from a United States Marine. Semper Fi.
my car window was smashed and everything of value stolen. Most awful was the antique Chinese lamp from my grandmother-more than 100 years old. Also 40 years of old photos in scrap books I was bringing for my daughter's birthday celebration. Bottles of wine clothes and musical instruments for my grandsons. and Staff did not see. to care. Police department taking the report Said this place has LOTS OF CRIME and management does nothing!! The thieves had from 11 to sunrise so no reasonable security checks.
The reason I gave 3 stars is because the manager was willing to reverse the room charge after my mother took the manager on a walk-through of the hotel itself on the morning of check out. He was trying to fix things along the way... The sink stopper wasn't working. The A/C wouldn't cool down enough. The ice maker on the 2nd floor wasn't working. The hallway wasn't vacuumed nor the trash picked up. Not all the key card doors were working. The complimentary coffee was good, but the staff never left stir sticks with cream and sweetener. During Covid19, most hotels (like aircraft interiors) are kept especially clean and tidy. This Best Western Plus didn't pass even pre-pandemic inspection. I was grateful for the “hotel cat” wandering near the pool. Cats are good for keeping vermin at bay.
Kids making noise and running up and down hallway at night for more than an hour. Front desk never answered their phone and security was no where to be found. Location of this hotel is in an undesirable part of town.
I called ahead to make this reservation. My mom is disabled. She walk with a cane and is on oxygen. I explained we needed lower level rooms. They suggested 2nd floor next to the elevator. She walked to the elevator which was quite aways away. The elevator was broken..I had to find a chair and bring it to her and then went back to the lobby (as my car was parked in a no parking zone) They put her in another room on the lower level but she had to walk even further. The inside of the hallways were hot and smelly. I had to drive around looking for parking. The spot I found was very small and far from my room. I felt very uncomfortable walking back alone.
Over all the stay was exceptionally and had great customer service the rooms were very clean all the appliances a worked they even Applied me with a new room and deactivated the old on right away u because mine was misplaced I will be returning for sure
...because we can't know for certain. But we didn't think the sheets in our beds (two queens, my husband has a sleep disorder so this is generally our best option) had been freshly laundered. They were very worn and very rumpled the way my own sheets look at home after I've slept on them for a few days after putting on fresh sheets. Hotel sheets, laundered commercially and 'ironed' in the process of huge industrial stacks, never look like that. We stay in 10-12 different hotels per year, and of course we change on our own sheets at home. We know what fresh sheets look like. Which makes other things a bit of a moot point. Lots of rickety issues with the building in general due to age. Heavy doors that slam on your butt, an elevator that rumbles like a dinosaur, and the like. One advantage to age, though, in these Corona Virus times--individual room air conditioner/heaters, so you're not on a shared air supply with other guests. Great front desk, though. Stephanie was very kind and helpful.
Don't feel safe here Very seedy area and the smell of cigarettes and pot are through the first floor! The rooms are fine but concerned about walking down the street in daylight. Would never stop here again and I am a best western member!
i been to best western plus front desk was nice i enjoy staying here this hotel good breakfast and clean toilet and shower i will go here again i enjoy it by my self there are friendly and staff are nice
The front desk agent was very friendly and efficient. She was engaged in our transaction the entire time and I could tell she was busy, there were a ton of people in the lobby but she was nice and focused on getting me checked in
The rooms were very CLEAN. The front desk was at all times helpful and courteous. House keeping was friendly and eager to assist. Room service was not only fast but also affordable. All around the beat Hotel stay that I have ever experienced.
I did not feel safe at this hotel - I have never had an issue such as this at any other best westerns I have stayed. Lots of people loitering around- partying, drinking and smoking outside the hotel. A homeless man was camped in front of the building that I was in - he was there as I went in and when i left. He was inches from the door that I had to use to get to my room Stray cats hanging around the garbage area. The halls were noisy - no poop bags nor garbage in the pet area. The room was clean - basic but otherwise good. I don't think I will stay at any more best westerns..
Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Unusually quiet room tho we were on the ground floor. Excellent customer service at check in and departure. Hidden gem was the full breakfast included at the on-property eatery. First of all the wait staff was exceptionally friendly all the while. To top it if off the food was delicious. A full breakfast included coffee or juice. Huevos Rancheros were some of the best ever. May schedule a return trip just to try the dinner menu.
They got us in fast when we got there late. Made reservations at the last minute. Customer service was awesome. Breakfast was amazing. Rooms were clean and overall it was a very good Experience. I will go there again.
The room had filthy grub marks on the light switch in the bathroom (brown) and on other items. The worst was the human hair on both "clean" towels in the bathroom though. Not to mention at 9pm at night there was not any hot water, only luke warm. The bedding had hair in it too! This was an awful experience and I have been to motel 6's that were cleaner. The guest rooms are also outside. The very unfriendly staff member watched me get all the way upstairs with my heavy bag before yelling in front of everyone "mam, there are no guest rooms up there, you need to go outside". It was so rude and I just wanted to cry, I was humiliated. I was there because my father was at a nearby hospital on life support and this was the last thing I needed. I had paid so much (135 +50 deposit) for this room and all I could think of was I wish I had just slept in my car at the hospital. I will never go to best western again. The location was bad too, its located in the parking lot of a food 4 less and had questionable people walking around the parking lot at 9pm! I couldn't believe the rooms were outside and that I had to go walking around to try to find the room. There were no signs outside indicating where to go or how to find the rooms doors. I had to ask someone out there who said ohh, you have to go through that door to get to them. This was the worst stay ever and I travel a lot for business.
staff accommodating and very courteous.Appearance is great and all the amenities included are excellent for cost.Breakfast had a large variety and restaurant atmosphere.Staff is very helpful and friendly
Check in staff person was very unfriendly, seemed upset at having to check in guests. Beds were old and somewhat saggy. The bathroom was door warped and very hard to close. Room was next to elevator and very noisy.
noisy. shower sprayed all over the bathroom - dingy halls - seedy area. we arrived prepaid booking - they would not let us in because they could not ring credit card through for extra charges - they tried 4 credit cards - obviously their system down - they had me call my credit card company even though 4 cards did not work - they would not admit error on their end - I offered $100 cash for sundries just so we could go to bed after 10 hour drive - no they would not accept they suggested we go elsewhere - even though the room was prepaid months ago - finally after 40 minutes she rebooted system at my suggestion and card was accepted - no apology. Terrible reception - terrible rooms - noisy breakfast area with two tv's blaring on two separate channels. lots of hotels to chose from. on way back I spoke with manager - unfortunately we had booked this same place on our return trip from vacation - she offered some points - I wanted a complete refund. Never again.
I stay at Best Western all the time. This one is cheap because you are inconvenienced with check in and the bar is not stocked. If you are on a tight budget this is your hotel. I will look elsewhere. Have a great day
When you look at pricing for this hotel in comparison to other hotels in the area the assumption is the pictures aren't telling the story. Truth be told the pictures don't do it justice. I would definitely stay here again.
No matter the reason for your stay, the entire crew at this hotel actually CARE & help you through anything! The GM, Shelly, has built a crew that she can be very proud of! You can't teach people to care like that....they just do.
It's quiet enough, the price is right, and the rooms are clean. But a couple of caveats: The only bed pillows are 12”X12” & are super mushy, making it virtually impossible to prop up or elevate your head. The hotel doesn't provide “normal” sized pillows, nor do they have any extra pillows. So be sure to bring your own. The rooms overlooking the pool area only have sliders (no separate windows) so (on the ground floor) unless you feel comfortable granting any passers by easy access to your room, you're not going to be able to get fresh air. The wall ventilation unit doesn't provide fresh air. It only heats, cools, or recirculates the room's stuffy air.
I enjoyed staying here, although it was a little challenging navigating this large property from building to building -- they could use better signage. The staff was very helpful, however! The rooms were spacious and had good refrigerators. It was conveniently located to all that I wanted to do in Stockton, and there was a fantastic new bakery nearby. Being downstairs, however, in Building D, was extremely noisy due to the people staying upstairs.
Our check in to the hotel went without flaws. Fast service and the clerk offered us a free drink and vouchers for breakfast. The room was nice but was located next to the elevator. We got settled in and drove downtown for dinner. We returned to the room later that night. I'm laying down watching tv when I noticed a roach run across the screen. Totally creeped out! I chased it down and killed it immediately. That made me skin crawl all night to the point I couldn't even sleep. Combine that with the fact the elevator was so loud it kept waking me. Finally I decided to get up in the morning and shower. Decided to make some coffee and lo and behold, another roach ran from our of the coffee maker. I was disgusted there was no way I was eating a breakfast from that hotel. Me and my girl shook out all of our clothes, packed and checked out early. Horrible experience!
We stayed one night with my family. Overall for the price we paid was not bad. My only complaint is the smell of cigarette smoke. When we exited the evaluator to get to our room the hallway had a heavy smell of cigarette and the bathroom in our room had a heavy cigarette smell also. Aside from the cigarette smell, our room was clean. The room had a refrigerator and television with cable. The hotel is not located in the best location, but they do have a security patrolling the hotel. Staff at the front was extremely nice and their breakfast selection was great.
Staff was great, breakfast is amazing and complimentary drinks at the lounge. Location is a bit sketchy. Near the ghetto and ghetto-ish characters in parking lot. But the card access into the hotel made me feel more comfortable.
Upon turning down the bed, we found a use pair of women's bikini panties on top of the unchanged sheet and under the pillow. This proves the linen had not been changed or the room cleaner was playing a joke that wasn't funny! HOWEVER the front desk clerk refunded one night's stay.
Most likely we will not stay here again. Parking was impossible--every space was full, including the curb near the lobby entrance. These days they have security guards wandering everywhere--made us worry about why the hotel needed so many guards. The room was large and well-appointed and staff was friendly and helpful. Nice touch was a complimentary glass of wine or beer. We enjoyed that after dinner in the BW lounge. It is a long way off the freeway, but that did make it quiet.
Stayed one night as we were at my daughters softball tournament, hotel was located within 10 minutes of the softball fields, hotel was clean, room was clean, bed was comfortable and price was reasonable Would stay here again for the next tournament
Excellent service, beautiful property, wonderful breakfast! The location is close to shopping and restaurants. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The A.C. units are a bit on the loud side, but I'm a lite sleeper. Would definitely stay here again.
I've stayed here more times than I can count. The rooms are clean, modern, and the value is crazy good. I travel for work and this is perfect for me. Location is good. I'll stay again and again. friendly staff, free breakfast.
One night in Stockton clean comfortable room easy check in easy check out only problem was the entrance is confusing and the parking spots are tight for a work truck the help was very friendly I'll be back in Stockton next week and will stay again
Very comfortable and well furnished hotel. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub. Some of the rooms have a little patio. It appears there is a bar that is open in the evening. The breakfast bar has a variety of hot food along with waffles and other breakfast items. The breakfast room is large and well kept. There are a number of chain restaurants close by. During our stay the downside was the painting being done on the outside of the building we were in. A bit noisy and it limited access to the building and parking. There was also a car that appeared to be abandoned in a disabled parking space.
After reading the reviews, I was a little hesitant to book here but we were going for a funeral and wanted to stay close to family. The area surrounding the hotel was interesting. Some homeless people about and trash in the streets. The room itself was good. It had a microwave and small fridge. It was clean. The AC worked. Front staff was friendly although they did give me the wrong keys to my room so I had to deal with that. In the request section of the reservation and on mobile check in, I requested a room NOT to be on the first floor and that's what I got. My view was suppose to be pool view however my view was of the gate to get into the pool area. It was very disappointing. It was quite noisy due to the other hotel guests talking loudly in the hall and outside the pool area. And the dog parking in the room across from my room was a bit annoying. Parking thankfully was ok. Although the lot did fill up fast in the front. The back lot was a bit sketchy.
Dog hair all over the carpet. Literally from he entrance to all over the room. Staff refused to give me a vacuum myself and refused to move me to another room. I checked out right than did not stay my remaining two nightS. Staff was rude about the situation. They did not care if I was Allergic to dogs or not. Wouldn't stay here if someone paid me.
Great staff, spacious rooms, very clean and a great breakfast. This hotel was very quiet. We had a balcony and could sit outside. This Bestwestern was perfect and very comfortable for a one night stay.
This location is easily accessed, clean, friendly, not sure about how safe the neighborhood is, we'll find out in a while when we checkout. The facility is well organized and the Staff is well trained, polite, courteous and efficient. Our room on the 2nd floor after finding out they only allow pets on the first floor even though I witnessed a lady taking her pet into the building B elevator & reported it to the front desk, was sparsely populated with furniture, only chair was the desk chair and the toilet seat is major loose but won't tighten up, bolts are twisting in the mount, I'm not the only one who tried to snug them. It is clean, didn't like the inter-shower, small spray area, clutter with location of the soap holder, center of rear wall but we made due and would return but unlikely we'll ever have a need. Breakfast was GREAT, enjoyed the Spanish scrambled eggs, they added colorful chopped peppers, mushrooms and cheese, would have nice to have some salsa, maybe I missed it. Thanks to all who make this location great
It was a good sleep and shower, before the meetup with the kids. The towers were fresh and so was the water. My pillows were extraordinarily soft. The front desk lady was super nice. I liked best the front desk service.
My stay at Best Western a plus was not what I expected. The room near the pool on 1st floor was not secure and due to my being disabled the walkway and room pool exit door was too narrow. But the personnel at front desk, maintenance man and security officer (Cookie) made my stay pleasurable. Room was clean and neat. Loved the pool and jacuzzi area and Hot breakfast. I will be returning when in Stockton.
Worst Best Western property I have ever experienced. The building and room smelled bad. One ice machine was missing and the other did not work. The plumbing in the shower was backwards and my wife could not take a hot shower as a result. The internet did not automatically bring up the agreement to terms page on our devices so despite saying we were connected, we were not and had to spend quite a bit of time figuring out how to connect. I told the desk clerk about all this at check out and all I got from her was "I'm terribly sorry." I will never stay at this property again.
The WORST hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at a hotel with a used condom under the bed. First the customer service is nonexistent, rude staff and they dont answer the phone I called 15 times straight with no answer. Second my door to my room can be opened with just a butt bump, I feel real secure leaving any valuables (sarcasm). My car got broken into, but the security is to worried about us parents hanging out at the pool at 10pm instead of making sure our cars aren't broken into and valuables taken. Security guards called one of the team moms a fat ass. They do NO security here at all, just smoke all night by the pool (we watched by our balcony for over an hour). The kids from the apartments across the street came swimming, yet I'm paying over $500 for my family to be here and these kids are just coming in for free. I wish I could ask for my $$ back. A/C in our room is basically broken. No towels when we have asked 4 times. One girl was followed by two men and another was followed to her room until she came back to grab an adult. Crackheads all around hotel. DON'T STAY HERE EVER.
No enough parking,Had to park in food 4 less parking lot ice machine out all the time only 1 ice machine per building, front desk was rude. Breakfast was good.maids were really nice and helpful. Be careful sketchy area.
Our benchmark hotel chain we deem excellent is Hampton Inn. Best Western has raised the bar for us as our new benchmark hotel chain. The overall outdoor area was beyond any landscape and layout we ever experienced. The room was so clean that we didn't feel like we had to keep on shoes or slippers. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were the best.
Is this the nicest hotel we have stayed at? No. Was the pool cloudy on our visit? Yes. Is it the best location. No. That said, it is a good deal for the money. Rooms were clean and comfortable enough. Breakfast was ok. We stayed here for over a week and couldn't complain about anything considering that we payed such a low price. Tip: Book through Hotwire.com or priceline.com with one of their "hidden hotel deals" to get the absolute lowest rates possible. It isn't difficult to figure out what the "hidden hotels" are before booking. Look at the amount of reviews given on the "hidden hotels" and match it up to the amount of reviews on the regularly priced hotels.
Fine property, but homeless druggies are encroaching. One homeless druggie was living in outside stairwell of Building C. The third time I used that stairwell he was getting ready to smoke some crack and started complaining about people not leaving him alone. The hallways smell of stale marijuana smoke. My stay was fine, the employees are great. But I did not feel too secure there. Too worried about a homeless druggie getting into the building. Maybe Californians are use to this problem, but safety and security of it's guests should be paramount.
That a hotel of its age would get a Plus rating from BW is a little confounding. It is a standard mid-range hotel. And aside from the pleasant and helpful front desk staff, there were way too many negatives to recommend this hotel. I wonder how many other guests also experienced: Poor security: Maybe plain clothes cops or maybe not, but always a few questionable guys in the parking lots. Management didn't seem to care that there was constant pot smoking at the pool. Broken everything: Screen door was off its tracks, broken hair dryer, noisy A/C unit, electric sockets that had no power, TV signal out, WIFI down for a full day. Careless housekeeping: Had to find a maid to ask for a Do Not Disturb sign and toiletries. Also, the maid stepped on a pair of sunglasses that must have fallen off the nightstand. (I wonder if she was the one who knocked them off) Towels: Mismatched, and the embossed ones are rough and scratchy. Ice: One machine per building (not per floor). Ours was always out of ice.
It was an excellent stay will definitely stay here again. I loved the fact that they have double security to enter the premise and to enter the building where the rooms are located. The only down fall was that in the morning we had alarms outside our room the cleaning ladies were very loud they need to speak in soft voices but other than that will let others know this place was Awsome!
Stay here for my son baseball tournament. Our experience was horrific. The smell on the hallway to the room stinks. First night we seen spider hanging above ceiling about to drop down on our bed. The following day I found another visitor, this time is a black spider by the sliding door of the closet. Third, Another spider in the restroom. I email and give my feedback to the hotel, but haven't heard anything back from them. Another big disappointment. To make matters worse, our room was close to the front lobby, which had motorcycles (2) at the time of our stay. Not only that it is at the end of the exit door where I can hear door slamming as early as 4am. Finally, either their customer or by standard coming to pick up or drop off guests. A male African wonder back and forth between his passenger and his drunk for at least 10 minutes. Ruthlessly blocking when he sees my husband backing up with in a huge car trying to get out to drop our boy off for baseball game that morning. Even when I politely asked him after 5 minutes of trying to back out of a parking space. I said "Sir, can you please move out so he can back out. You're blocking his way" The man try to pick and fight and you know what comes out of his mouth. Instead of moving when he specifically block people way. That driveway is narrow and can only fit 1 car at a time. I went to the front desk and told them what happened and let them deal with this angry and crazy man. (This was the only positive about the place). In addition to all these crap I have to dealt with, but I wasn't going to let these ruin our stay. Last, after the 1st night, the hotel ran out of towels, I asked the housekeeper that goes to other rooms to clean and even the office. I was told they were out of towels, but will bring some to our room. Well, we never got our towel replacement. I had to go out and buy towel is ridiculous. I felt like if they actually cares about their guests, Hotel manager should have inspect sanitary. The health department should go out and do an inspection on the property of their cleanliness. With that many spiders, something is definitely not right.
I have stayed in many Best Western Plus hotels throughout California. This hotel fell far below my expectations. I reserve two rooms, for 3 days...one with accessible accommodations. Upon check-in, the accessible room was not available. The best they said they could do was to bring in a shower chair to the already small bathroom. The second mistake was when we came back from a long day of being out, one of our rooms was not serviced. When we alerted the front desk, they simply said "okay" and they would send some towels... We did not get them until the next day! We were supposed to have a non-smoking room... The room we were given clearly had been smoked in! The mattresses were completely unacceptable! Very lumpy and uncomfortable!Even our younger children who slept in the second room complained of their backs hurting after one night's sleep! The only redeeming grace was the weekend a manager, I believe her name is Susan, recognized all of the difficulties we had experienced during our stay, and gave us a tremendous discount.
I highly recommend you not stay here. Beautiful hotel, bad location. After checking in we drove to the back and saw broken glass in a parking place. We were debating whether or not to stay when two women drove by and told us to take everything out of our car because theirs had been broken into. The front desk clerk let us park in front of the lobby, though. In the morning I called three times for towels and never got them.
My son's baseball team was playing in a tournament and chose this hotel to stay at. I made a reservation but had to change it from 3 nights to 1 night with a different arrival date. I called BW reservations to change this and they informed me they needed to call the hotel to do this. I asked if I should just call the hotel directly but they told me if I did, the hotel was likely to just refer me back to the central reservation number. I explained what needed to be changed, was put on hold, and when the agent returned was told everything was taken care of. On the day of our arrival, I came into the lobby and found another family from our team arguing with the staff. They had been there a day already, had gone to a game in the morning and when they returned found their luggage and clothes had been removed from the room with no notice. They were having difficulty getting any satisfaction from the staff and eventually flagged down the manager as he passed by. What I overheard of the conversation was the manager explaining to them how it wasn't the hotel's fault because the reservation was incorrect. Finally, after telling them no rooms were available they found a new room for them. Then, it was my turn and they now could not find my reservation. After much messing about they told me that the reservation for the second two days was cancelled, we were supposed to have been there the night before and it wasn't their fault because they wrote notes in the reservation so it must be correct. Oh, and there were no rooms available so go find another. I did, found the Fairfield Inn in Tracey which was much nicer, has very friendly staff and cost about the same and we stayed there instead. After checking my credit card I discovered BW had charged us for the first night without mentioning it while I was standing there.
I was a little worried finding the place but found it ok. Checkin was easy and it was easy. Parking was easy and close for me once I found my building. Breakfast was great lots of tables and chairs. Good juice choices and toast and pastries. I would stay again.
Traveling through the area I booked a room online at Best Western Plus. After getting off the freeway the first step was to find the address. From I5 the property is about 2 miles off the freeway. Once I arrived, check in was painless, and I got a room in Building C. There are three buildings all nestled in a strip mall lot with a Food 4 Less. Parking at Building A is up against the building and isolated from the general parking. Building B and C share parking. To say that parking here was a bit sketchy would be an understatement. Once inside Building C I was greeted by an aroma of marijuana, but found my room which was quite nice given the location, parking, and building aroma. Comfy bed, clean bathroom, and everything you would expect. Overall average site - not sure I would book again.
This was a nice place to stay in an older part of town. It was well located for us. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast offerings were particularly nice. You could have scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and a variety of breads/ bagels/ muffins. You could have a make-your-own waffle, yogurt or hot pearl with various toppings, fruit. and numerous other things. It was nice to take a piece of fruit for a car snack. The common area seemed more spacious than other places.
This is a huge BW with 3 stories in the 3 buildings. The breakfast selections were more than adequate. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs with mushrooms, spinach, and cheese. Aditional luggage carts would be helpful.
We booked a room two months prior to our daughter's graduation direct. We were given a room in a far wing with a "C-Train" blocking the window. The courtyard area looked more inviting since I'm very claustrophobic and felt like I couldn't breathe!! The hotel staff gave false hope of a room change and asked if they could notify us. We waited almost one hour only to find out that the staff helping us clocked out and went home. We were unable to change rooms since they were overbooked. We ended up having to go outside of the room off and on during our stay - we were very disappointed since it was mother's day weekend as well - we would not stay at this hotel again!!!!!!!
It was a great stay . Overall great staff very clean upkeep place has mini fridge and microwave in all rooms it's just great . We had a great time also loved the free wifi clean towels free parking and free breakfast
Normally do to my points status I get a decent room. This trip I got the worst room in the hotel. Internet didn't work TV didn't work. They happily moved me to the next worst room. This hotel was place I have stayed before but not sure I will return.
Inbetween a hotel and a home isnt fun or easy on a man my age. And the disappointment of real estate agents...its nice and comforting to have a place like this to relax and be welcomed in to easy the stress.
This is a nice, moderately-priced hotel with friendly and helpful staff. breakfast is complimentary and is a nice buffet. The rooms are nice and they were clean inside. A good value for the price. The only thing I didn't like is that the carpet in the hallways was stinky and should be ripped up and replaced.
Would never stay here again! People constantly arguing loudly on roadway outside our room that was on 2nd floor. Arguing in hallway. Pet fee of $30.00 was ridiculous. Charge a higher refundable damage deposit for those who's pets damage the rooms. You would never know our pet (40 lb husky) was in the room. DON'T STAY IN BLD C. Our magnetic keys given the first time didn't work so had to get new ones. A nice young man escorted us to our room the second time to make sure the second set of keys worked. The room was Ok as far as cleanliness. I would go past Stockton to Lodi,CA the next time.
We had reserved a king bed room but they did not have one when we checked in and they put us in a 2-queen-bed room. We needed handicap parking but was not available near our entry door to our bldg. No pet area that we could find, so dog did stuff on gravel and we used our own bags. Hotel seemed to cater to construction contractors so large trucks made for dicey parking. Had to hunt up a luggage cart; it seems there were only 2 for the whole hotel that we could find.
This BestWestern is clean and well run. Our room was clean and neat. The breakfast was yummy. I couldn't figure out the heater controls, but it worked OK. I forgot to check out, but when I called, she said, “No problem.” It's almost impossible to locate the phone number of your local inn.
I seek out BWs due to their rewards program. Most of the time, we are pleased. I am not familiar with Stockton. The location was not itself noteworthy. Also, there was a party going on and some altercations. It turned into bit of a spectacle. The front desk staff were watching and could have been monitoring it for escalation.
I stayed in this hotel for two nights. It was the HQ hotel for a large convention I was attending with my husband. The property was large with plenty of rooms. The breakfast was great with a large room for sitting. The only thing that was not stellar was the parking - the lot was dark in places and many of the close spaces in back by our building were taken over by dumpsters and other storage that was being used for construction activities. We ended up parking over near the Food 4 Less because it was better lit, even though it was a long walk to our building on a rainy weekend.
The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff were exceptionally courteous. They greeted us at every occasion. The only negative of the rooms was that sound isolation was not as good as I preferred. The included breakfast was excellent. Scrambled eggs that were NOT over cooked, bacon or sausage links, potatoes, biscuits with gravy, waffles, cereal, juice, coffee, and chocolate. Lots of tables with comfortable chairs. It was probably the best hotel included breakfast I have ever had. I'd cheerfully pay $15 each for this breakfast at a restaurant and it was included with our room. I consider it a $90 savings for 3 breakfasts and no driving needed. Plus it is located in a major commercial area where you can find any other service you might need. I want to come here again.
Our stay began with the security gurard, Ramon (who has worked there 6 weeks) helped us unload our car and take our bags to the room...Just because he wanted to be helpful. Then the front desk person, Brittany A, greeted us with enthusiasm and appreciation for our visit...Someone is definitely hiring the right people. This Best Western is larger than most. Our room was nice, clean and comfortable...But the service made it feel like a 5 star resort. The Breakfast is excellent and lot's of choices. There are a few Best Western hotels within an hour drive...Pick this one!
BEWARE !!! This hotel will rob you !! They will lie and say that you smoked in the room just to charge you a $300 smoking fee !! They will lie and say there are damages to the room and charge you $150 !!! These people are complete thieves !!!! How could a business just take money from people like this ?!!! I am definitely in the process of reporting them to a higher authority. Not to mention, when you contact them about the charges they act rude and dumbfounded as though they have no clue of what you are talking about. Then will make up some absurd story that is totally dishonest. The manager Katherine has yet to return any of my phone calls about these bogus charges after I have called many many times. They will be reported, as I am contacting the BBB and legal authorities. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL, THEY WILL ROB YOU OF YOUR MONEY !!!! This hotel has absolutely barred me of staying at any best western hotel. They cannot be trusted as professionals, they are nothing but theives and liars !!!! Protect yourself and your finances and stay at a different hotel.
Parking for check-in was a nightmare. I circled the area for 15 minutes as all the cars were parked backwards. Then, I stood in line for half an hour. Only two people working the desk and the line was over a dozen people long.
Very nice hotel. Everything is clean and the grounds are well kept. Nice and very clean room. Big shout out to front desk attendant, Allyssa ( hope I remembered that right). We pulled into town early, just barely 1:00 oclock and she found us a room. We travel a lot and she was one of the nicest that we have dealt with. I would definitely stay here again
We arrived at this place on March 9, 2019. We had a reservation for a room with 2 beds. They checked us into room in bldg C. When we got to the room, the room key would not work. We called front desk about that. They said someone will be right over. While we were waiting by the front door of the room, we heard voices coming out from inside the room that we were given keys to. We immediately called front desk again to tell them that someone is already in that room. They asked us to hold on!!!. Then they cam back on line and apologized and said, 'We have upgraded you to a room in bldg A'. when we got to our 'upgraded' room, we found: 1. No linens in the bathroom - NONE 2. Coffee and tea packets on the table bur No coffee maker 3. Our beds had human hair on them (very disgusting!!!) 4. The room had not been cleaned as we saw a lot of litter around the beds. We called about the above listed items, and they said, 'We are completely full tonight. We don't have any towels available but we are going to wash some for you and bring them over. Sorry for the inconvenience'. Some lady brought a coffee maker, with missing parts so we had to call them again and explain the issue a couple of times because she would not believe us! Then we asked them to bring us bed sheets so we can change them ourselves. Recall that this was an UPGRADED room!!!. Is this supposed to be the 'PLUS' brand of Best Western? Never again will we patronize Best Western, never.
The toilet in our room was completely stopped up and full of poop!!! Also, the phone by the bed did not work. When the maintenance person arrived he said that he could not clear the toilet. He would have to take the toilet up to get to the clog. He also could not fix the phone. We were moved to a different room in which the towel bar was falling off and the deadbolt did not work. I can't believe this hotel is rated "Plus" by Best Western. Stay at a different hotel.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Plus Heritage Inn. I walk into the Lobby and its so beautiful!! It is welcoming. The staff was so happy to see me, I was greeted warmly. I was checked in with ease and quickly. As I walked to my room, i noticed the grounds are very well kept and looks very inviting. The room was very comfortable, the decor nice. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The bed was very comfortable as I slept very well. My check out experience was easy as well. Very happy indeed!!
We did not have a prior reservation, so most places were going to be expensive, and what wasn't expensive was already booked. I wasn't expecting to stay at BW because I know it can be pricey, however the woman at the front desk who answered the call, Brittany, was absolutely amazing. We *wanted* to stay there not only because of her dedication to great customer service, but simply because she was such a pleasant woman. The only thing that was negative was the WiFi wasn't working, however that hardly mattered for our stay.
Messed up our reservation. Reserved a handicap room with roll-in shower. No handicap rooms available. Had an extremely rough night. Hotel layout if extremely confusing. Equipement in room not repaired. IE- phone, heater.
overall its a great place very clean parking scked but nice place. food was great and most staff were great as well, very clean and quiet nice place to get some rest. very clean and room was large lots of space.
Charge my card $200 extra for some pool towels that avocado spilled on made it out the corporate waiting on corporate this hotel only rent their sweeps out to four people which I think it's ridiculous what if a couple had more than two kids like my situation I truly think this is a discrimination on a family if more than 4
Overall, this is a pleasant and affordable place to stay in Stockton. The staff is very professional and helpful. The housekeeping staff do a great job. The breakfast provided is better than most, even better than much more expensive places. I would stay here again.
Alynna was awesome every morning at breakfast. I was there a couple days and one of the waffles machines broke. After speaking to her about she took the time to go grab the new machine and plug it in. :) The only negative thing I can say is that after 2.5 days of asking the fitness center still does not have a new water bottle. I asked multiple shifts and several employees and still....no refill. Fix that and it would be 100%. Thanks for everything else.
This Best Western Plus property is very conveniently located to dozens of restaurants, shopping, etc. During our stay, we experienced some problems due to remodeling in rooms nearby, but the management was good about making our inconvenience right. Assuming problems were temporary, would stay here again when in Stockton.
Arrival at the hotel was easy. Only one clerk-Ryan- so had to wait while he checked in two other guests. Very pleasant young man. He upgraded us our room as we had to wait for a little bit Got to our room 320 and it all went downhill from there. Definitely a smoked in room although we were assured it was a non smoking room. Had to get the maid to bring us towels and a shower curtain- both were missing when we entered room. Also no Kleenex Was told by Ryan they were out of Kleenex!! What?!?! But the big disappointment was the bed. It was so depressed in the middle that you immediately rolled to the center. Good thing we liked to cuddle at night. Ridiculous that a mattress is left in service at such a terrible state. Would not recommend staying in future
As we were moving our son to California we stopped at the Best Western in Stockton. It was raining and dark but as we pulled up the appearance looked inviting. However, the motel failed to deliver. The cost quoted us was far different than the cost we had seen when we checked on line for motels in Stockton. But given the time and weather we decided to stay. On entering our room the bathroom floor was not clean nor was there tissue in the bath room. My son has various allergies and lack of tissue to blow his nose was unhelpful. We all had reasons to be on the internet including work but there was no connection in the room. I went to the desk and asked if indeed the internet was working. I was told yes and was able to connect at the main desk but when IO went back to the room only a small distance, the connection failed. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well but the hot breakfast was disappointing since it was only luke warm. On check out the supervisor did make a small adjustment to our stay but in my opinion it was too little too late. Hopefully these issues will be corrected soon.
We checked in last night and the staff was all extremely friendly. Ruben at the bar is a gem and was incredibly nice. Great experience after a day of traveling. Very quiet hotel. 10/10 would stay again
Nice standard best western that I had stayed at previously. Seems a frequent stop over for colleges and parties. This last trip the bath tub did not actually fill so I was unable to take a bath and when the weather hit over the weekend it knocked out the internet and water was seep in in either at the baseboard or around the heater.
I never give reviews but I had to make an exception this time. This is the best breakfast I have ever had there was so much to choose from. It is kept very clean and well stocked and I must say compliments to the chef. All in all this hotel was a wonderful stay the rooms are very clean and modern and the staff is great from the time we checked in and morning breakfast girls and check out they all were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.
A couple miles off the freeway but worth the drive. the rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. Dining options are close with a wide variety of options. The staff is professional and helpful. making great suggestions about places to go and things to do.
Room is nice, spacious, and quiet. I like how there are three different buildings that surrounds the pool. Front desk is fantastic! Saibre and Brittany were really great helping me checking in after a long drive.
Breakfast was awesome never had such a good breakfast that is complimentary. The waitresses Rosey, Alyssa Ruby and Susi were great. My room was immaculate. Kudos to housekeeping has improved since my last stay. I have one issue i came in at 2am to get more coffee and the front desk agent was asleep i made enough noise woke her up and no good morning did not even acknowledge me i asked her name she said Taylor. Very unprofessional to be asleep in behind the desk and not to mention the danger she is putting herself in i think she needs more training on her people skills. The only reason that i am giving this hotel a five star is because of breakfast and housekeeping. Your security sucks
Was ok, except I could hear ppl coming and going all night due to being next to the exit. Breakfast was good staff helpful. Parking at the hotel is limited unless you park in the neighboring business. Rooms were nice to the the recent remodel.
This was my first time staying at a best western plus. I must say I am very impressed with the customer service I received at check in. Brittany and Saibre was very helpful with my needs. They both went above and beyond to find me a nice room in building B. Breakfast was really delicious!! Hotels need more friendly people like these two ladies. The next time I'm in the Stockton area I will stay here because of the service I received. Thanks again for the Kind Hospitality!
I just want to say how wonderful the young lady Alissa at the front desk was she was very sweet and helpfuland very knowledgeable with helping us sign up with your rewards program and giving us tips on places to eat in the area. Also we travel alot and I must say this was the best breakfast setup I have ever had the girls in the dinning room kept everything so tidy and stocked and food was delish. We will definitely be staying here again on our way home.
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 3 days for thanksgiving. The cook at this hotel is on point they make everything fresh. Rosie the cook came each table to ask how everyones stay was. Very welcoming environment i have slight issues with the rooms and the bar the bar had some rude guy tending he was talking to the group of people for along time before tending to my husband and I.
We were placed in room 123. Our dog immediately began trying to dig under the bed near the door, We discovered, on pulling back the bed covers, that one bed had urine stains. The other had human hairs. We asked for housekeeping to come and change the sheets and were told the housekeepers had gone home. We asked for a new room. In the new room the smell of cigarette smoke drove us out of the room. The housekeeper, who was very helpful, put us in a cleaned room. The manager came to tell us we couldn't stay there and wanted to put us in a different room. It wasn't ready but the housekeepers we were told had gone home were working on the second floor. So they lied! We had had enough and left in favor of the Holiday Inn Express in Stockton. Much better service, much better room!!! I have stayed at Best Westerns for years and this was, by far, the absolute worst. I will say that Gloria, housekeeping, and Ruben were great!
Would definitely recommend This hotel it's nothing like the pictures I got a good deal on this site and boy when I went I was impressed the hotel is Almost being done renovated the inside has been majorly upgraded The bar area is my favorite
Best Western is always usually nice. but for some reason, it attracts uncomfortable guests.men sitting on stairs smoking, not moving, we had to manuever around them to get down the stairs. thug looking young men in hallways. weed smelling hallways.
I have a card for Best Western so I try to stay "brand loyal." First my room wasn't ready and there was a repair guy in there on the phone, smoking and a bit rude when I asked when the room would be ready. We were moved to another room but not on paper. We were woken up with the housekeeping crew thinking the room was unoccupied. We went to breakfast and returned asking for an hour extended check out due to fatigue. We were interrupted three times by the manager, housekeeping and laundry still thinking our room was unoccupied. When I complained - all I was offered was extra points. Really? I will never stay here again.
All in all this hotel was alright, the layout is kinda funny, there are 3 separate buildings. The hallway of building B smelled very strongly of cigarettes, then our room itself smelled strongly of marijuana. I think the smell was likely coming into our room from the adjoining room, where the occupant played loud music all night long. I found it odd that the hotel required you to provide a breakfast ticket to enter breakfast, I have never had a hotel require this before. The room itself was fine, the bed was comfortable, and it seemed to be cleaned well.
Room was great and quite. Easy to get to doctor's office from this location. Breakfast was good even if partner couldn't eat because of surgery. Staff was very nice even if we had to wait in line to check in. They were very nice. I left my coat there and contacted them once I discovered it. They responded back after checking room and will be shipping it to me.
Building had an old/musty odor. Every door in the building was working poorly. Rooms are modestly furnished. Had to ask for more food/coffee at breakfast.Worst of all......when I mentioned the problems with doors, their response was quite indifferent!!!!Will not stay here again.
Booked a PLUS hotel through Priceline.. thought it was right off on I 5(where we usually stay) but this was EAST March lane..so very isolated “Sketchy “ area..no restaurant where we could walk to..no restaurant in the hotel..just used for breakfast (which was great in the morning) Room was disappointing...good thing-balcony/fridge/microwave.bad things- Had to call right away for maintenance as the toilet lever was broken and just sitting on counter..no Kleenex in container..no bath mat Did not have the feel of a PLus Best Western Will not stay there again
Defiantly needs to be more people at check in time. Only one staff at the front desk. The young man Adam was very helpful and was able to check us in a timely manner. Stayed here many times before nice to see the improvement in staff I actually felt achknowledged & listened to. Renovation looks nice but I walked into my room & saw 3 roaches not cool.
Early check-in was meaningless. Arrived before noon and did not get a room until 4. Towels were not replaced both days. Had to use pool towels to shower with. Hosted cocktail time use to have food, now there is none. For a Non-smoking property, the room smelled of smoke. We asked for a room away from the elevator and where did we end up, right across from it. Room keys did not work after the first day. New management has cheapened up the place. We won't go back.
We had to ask to toilet tissue for are room as soon as we checked in and the cover on the bed had a stain. We had to ask for a iron the should have come with the room. The blackout curtain was ols and had alot of small holes.
fix the following issues:1. TV did not work, had to replace box2. Poor reception on TV constantly had freezing and interference3. Dead Bugs in bathroom4. chocolate on floor under desk5. fan in bathroom sounded like a washer on high spin and extremely loud6. toilet seat loose, plus tank constantly drained and refilled7. dirt in tracks in closet8. drain in bathroom tub did not work, tub filled with water and would not drain, this affected not only our room but room next door also.9. had to call for maintenance twice, first time no one showed.10. moved to another room at 10 pm - very dissatisfied with this motel11. did not offer to lower the bill at all
First impression was...whoa! These people really know their stuff (front desk). Check in quick and informative. Got the key...tried to enter property near my room.. Key doesn't work. Called front desk. Clerk came out with new key. Her key doesn't work either. At this point it is determined that the gate entry is defective. So, had to move car (disabled) to another area and enter from there. I was never told if the gate was fixed. Room is great! Overlooking the pool! Wow!! However, young'uns in the pool area kept me up til midnight. I was told pool area closes at 10p. I can't use A/C so left the slider open for fresh air. Took me three front desk calls, and 45 minutes, until someone got the young'uns out of the pool area so I could go to sleep...they were noisy. The cobbled, red brick road, (the walk way around the property) was a bit of a hazard for an older person with balance problems. Also, the laundry carts moving around after 11P kept me awake...thump, thump, thump! Also, checked the cleanliness of the hot tub. OMG!! Scum and filth! No way was I going to use it. At check out, good thing I looked at my receipt before I left...overcharged $35!! The breakfast was okay. Although better than continental, no seasoning. I would return to this property, now that I know what to watch out for, and will have a much better experience! Oh, BTW: bring your own pillow. The "cutsy" small, square pillows are not functional for sleep!!
I had room across from laundry room & next to elevator. Bed didn't have comforter, air smelled like cigarettes, and people coming in and out of elevator/laundry room at odd hours. Couldn't sleep. This was the worst BW I've stayed at and I'm a BW member
Best Western Hotels are always on my list to search for when travelling. I've never had any issues at any other locations. I was quite disappointed with this location as I just kept coming across issue after issue. Housekeeping Staff Services are so inconsistent: They missed our room 3x (out of a 10 day stay) when they were right next to our room when we left. They don't seem to follow a checklist of making sure everything is replaced. We had one day of plastic cup refills, and one day of soap/shampoo replacement (mind you their bottles are really tiny). One day they did a good job cleaning but we were left with no towels. They overall miss spots of wiping, cleaning, dusting. Out of the five times are room was cleaned I would say 3 days it was done better than the other two and close to almost being complete. I wish I got those 3 ladies names, as it was not the same person everyday. I complained to the front desk staff about the housekeeping as we would be gone all day and come back to this unsatisfactory work (there is no night manager on duty) and they would note it but nothing would happen. Finally they told me the best they can do is let housekeeping know, but it's up to housekeeping. Which then led to me feel that there is maybe no structure in how they manage this location to keep up with Best Western standards. Overall the front desk, breakfast, and maintenance staff is nice and tries to be helpful. My issues: -We had to keep going to the front desk every other day for the first few days because our key stopped working. I finally told them we are going to be here for 7 more days and I do not want to come and do this 7 more times. They fixed the issue by programming the key correctly. Whereas the previous ones were not being check by how long we would remain there they were just programming it for a day. -Our room door doesn't shut all the way when entering/leaving we had to pull it quite forcefully. I reported it to maintenance and the front desk, it was never fixed. -Reported a weird smell in our room. It was never looked into. -The ice machine wasn't working all of a sudden so I asked if someone needs to replace the ice or does it do it by itself, it's supposed to replenish its self in about 15 minutes I was told. I waited nothing changed. Checked the next morning, nothing happened. The following day (3rd day now) she told me it was probably empty because others use it, I informed her that it was like this for 3 days and she said she would have maintenance look at it. They actually did and sure enough there was a problem and they fixed it. -And of course the Housekeeping procedures.
Marijuana smoke filling our hotel was apparently not a reason for us to be given a change of rooms. Front desk extremely uncooperative. We had to threaten to sleep int he lobby before action was taken to move us to a room without secondhand marijuana smoke. We were told marijuana was now legal in CA wo we would just have to deal with it. UNACCEPTABLE service from such a reliable hotel chain.
I had a two-night reservation planned for this hotel on September 21-23. The first issue is that I arrived early and the room was not ready (I get it that check-in was not until 3:00pm). I came back at 3:00pm and my room was still not ready. When I was told to "wait for 15-20 minutes", I did. Then when I did check in the room I was assigned was not available but rooms in another wing were available. I took the room. Where do we start with the issue: 1. The elevator was covered in cardboard (see photo) since I later found out that there was a construction crew working on the 3rd floor. 2. I tried to take a short nap and was awaken because of the construction work that seemed like they were working right above my head. 3. I then tried to take the luggage cart down to the lobby and found that the elevator was not working (can you say - construction crew). 4. I came back two hours later and the elevator was still not working. I contacted the front desk a 2nd time. 5. I came back to my room today, after housekeeping cleaned the room and I saw the following debris in the sink (see photo).
Somebody broke into our car, then police did not came, we needed to fill out online form and since I am from Europe I ask staff at lobby to help and they did not help us at all... At same night at the parking lot was also stollen car.. Bad naberhood and no one to help and hotels parking lot is not secured at all. Please choose other, safer hotel. And they was renovating floor and we stayed in same floor, ther was construction workers working in the morning.. terrible
The hotel staff was very accommodating upon check in. My husband has cancer and needed a special room set up and the staff promptly arranged for the appropriate room. Also the housekeeping staff provided extra blankets upon request. Nice hot and free breakfast is always a plus!!
The rooms themselves are fine based in mine but the grounds are a mess, strewn with trash. As a matter of fact, skip Manteca altogether. What I've seen of the town is a mess. No pride of place here. They could do with a good clean up campaign.
The things that really matter were great: clean room, comfortable bed, working AC , good security, friendly staff, plenty of parking. Some problems: check-in can be slow. Bar has short (if any) hours. Biggest problem: the full breakfast set up looked great, but they RAN OUT OF FOOD AND COFFEE before 9am. Either go at 6, or skip the breakfast.
So we stopped in Stockton on our way to visit family. They put us on the 3rd floor with dogs. The room was stifling hot, the air conditioner was struggling to cool down the room. The room didn't cool down until about 1am we checked in at 9:30pm. The air conditioner is facing the bed and the air is forced down into the bed. My husband and I took turns laying in the cool air before we fell asleep. I tried to take a shower to cool down but the shower was broken, the valve the pushes the water up to shower would not shut. So half of the water went down the drain, the end result bad water pressure. The carpet was so dirty it had brown stains all over and our dogs found a bottle top under the bed, yummy! My husband and I had been traveling all day and all we wanted was to shower and get some sleep. When I needed to take my dogs out the elevator sounded like it's on it's last leg which scared my dogs making walking more difficult. I talked to the front desk in the morning but Jesus could not have been bothered. He gave me a look over his glasses like how dare l mention there were issues with our stay. I felt like I needed to mention the state of the room as we did not want to be charged a fee for the dirty carpets. It's unfortunate because we are Best Western points members. Come guys get it together!
This was definitely one of the most relaxing stays I've had in the past two weeks. The hotel and staff are absolutely great. The staff at the hotel are very pleasant, kind, and attentive to the guests needs. I love that the coffee is available and fresh all day. The rooms are clean, spacious, with microwave, coffee maker, fridge, and blow dryer. Some of the rooms have a balcony or patio with furniture. I slept very comfortably in the queen sized bed. The bathroom was clean and ready for use. I really appreciate the fact that I didn't have to clean the shower before use like I've had to do at other hotels. Reina in housekeeping is a total pleasure to talk to and super friendly with a great smile. The front desk clerks are very nice and welcoming and always smiling. The fireplace in the lounge is super nice and the bartenders offer great company. Really enjoyed the pool! I appreciate being able to use the business center to print my contacts. The hotel is very well kept and the parking lot is patrolled all night (thanks). Three breakfast was really good and I really liked having biscuits and gravy.
Hotel was very clean, staff both at the front desk, housekeeping, breakfast area were outstanding, free wifi, free breakfast buffet and free parking. Biggest drawback is the need for more security on premises and inside the buildings. Area is sketchy and brings in ladies working on the premises. Only one working ice machine working in construction zone. I won't stay here again.
Note to self: Never stay at this hotel again!!!! I couldn't believe it was a Best Weatern!!! While the Loby would get a 5 from me and the Breakfast a 3.5 the carpet in the room I was in was truly Filthy. Bathroom was clean & bed was ok but all shot down by the carpet. Also the closest entry to my room was dirty, the bar on the door was actually sticky & the lock was faulty for letting me into the building. This facility is huge and while the grounds at the front seemed to be okay there was quite a bit of trash around the entrance to the building where my room was located. As a woman traveling on my own I did not feel safe outside between where I parked & getting into the room.
I've stayed at the BW Plus Heritage in Stockton twice. Both trips were family emergency trips from the PAC NW to So Cal. Last year the room we we're given was dirty and dilapidated, but the card lock kept malfunctioning so they put us up in the grand suite which was large and clean. They only charged me $40 plus tax and waived the pet fee. This year (yesterday) was different. The room was okay, but rundown. The hallway was filthy with carpeting stained by workers tracking in dirt, plaster and paint. The area around the property is seedy, so I made sure my car was parked in the small secured area by the office. When I made the reservation, the clerk tried to charge me $30 per dog despite their written policy stating a $30 per day fee. I insisted they follow their own written policy, which they did, but advised next time I would have to pay $30 per dog. I told her that it wasn't an issue since I wouldn't be staying there again, which the dilapidated condition served to confirm. The staff is nice and courteous, but they can't make up for the condition of the property. In a pinch this place is okay, otherwise find somewhere else to stay. Unfortunately, Stockton has no nice motels that allow dogs. Sacramento would be a better place even though you have to drive off I-5 into Davis to find something.
Condom found in parking lot. Poor water pressure at the sink. Found coach roach on the wall and a spider crawling on bathroom floor. Stains in hallway carpet. The hotel smells old, dirty, and a faint smell of cigarette smoke. To make things worse, our car was broken in on the last night of our stay. No security camera anywhere. The Receptionist acknowledged there had been thefts in the past but has not happened since they changed to a different company two months ago. It was dirty, grose, and violated!!!!
I like this hotel it's nicely remodeled and has full breakfast DECOR very nice outside and inside with pool and jacuzzi, laundry, gym, bar with free glass wine. Its near the mall and easy to get around central Stockton
This place is a dump. Never will you see a security guard until after something happens and is a den of riff-raff. Very seedy location and groups of riff-raff hanging around in the parking lot. The decor and carpeting look like it was taken from a old demolished casino. Rooms smelled like carpet glue/filth, ice machines and evelvators didn't work. Our car was broken into and items stolen. Apparently, this has happened many times in the past. Was very taken aback with the amount of thugs they let in this hotel. They took over the bar area...not family friendly at all. The pool is cold and not heated. The kids got in and jumped right back out. Read the other comments even the good ones talk of homeless people wandering around and the dimly lit parking lots you share with Food 4 Less. Don't let your children walk around alone here.
The place is going under renovations which in the big picture will make it even better, but this didn't get in the way. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, staff is friendly, in-room internet is fast, and the breakfast was really nice.
Good location, good price, good breakfast, rooms were nice and bed was comfortable, much cheaper than staying in Sacramento as we were on a trip home to Canada from Palm Springs it worked out really well.....................................................................................
This hotel is not as it is advertised. It shares a parking lot with a Food 4 Less, and only one of it's parking areas is partially gated. This room is worth, at best, $60. Paying $100 was way out of line. I left at 4am.
The staff were perfectly polite and professional. After check-in...nightmare. We had 2 rooms in our party. They were both disgusting greasy dirty. My towel was stained brown, greasy black dirt ALL over the chairs and the decor pillows. Pot smoke filtering into our room through the bathroom fan, tv working sporadically, bath fan phenomenally noisy and breakfast was depleted by 8 with one poor worker who couldn't restock fast enough for the large crowd. There was one working waffle maker and everyone wanted waffles-it took 10 minutes PER WAFFLE to cook-on ONE machine-ugh. The lobby looks beautiful and modern-this is NOT indicative of the shape the hotel is in!!!!
The property is adjacent to a Food-4-Less, which attracts a non-stop stream of fast-life people from 1am to 2am, as they filter in from local bars and parties, trying to purchase more alcohol. They do not lower their excessively loud stereos as they enter the parking lot. Make sure you do not have a room facing that parking lot, and all should be good sleep wise, except for the the usual loud encounters one might expect to randomly experience in a hotel setting. Also, the rooms lack adequate access to enable plug-in of rechargeable devices at the bedside. I had to move a bed away from the wall and unplug the lamp and alarm clock, then re-plug in the alarm clock elsewhere. Other than that, the rooms were clean and smelled clean. Staff were friendly and professional.
I didn't and was so sorry I didn't. This place is a nightmare. I had to stay as I arrived late, had no place else to go. The front desk tried to rip me off by increasing the pet free from $20 for 2 dogs to $60, then backed off when I raised hell. The room was disgusting, the carpet actually sticky, the sheets, towels, mattress and AC had to be older than I am and that's saying something. I slept on top of the sheet/“bedspread” in my clothes. Homeless people were hanging out in the outside stairwells. The breakfast was no more special than many others I've had, tho with this one I worried a lot about cleanliness. This place is a fleabag, dangerous. Stay away. No one cares.
Breakfast, while the eggs were not very good and the potatoes were burned, was in general quite good with delicious sausage, good coffee and juices, oatmeal with many toppings, biscuits and gravy. We had a few problems with our refrigerator and the non-working electrical outlets and were very, very disappointed with the seeming lack of motivation on the part of the motel to do anything about it; we spent a lot of time waiting around, and a lot of time on the phone working on getting part of our money back. We'd have preferred just to have things work or be repaired in a timely manner. Our room was kind of hidden and didn't have a great view, but it was close to the pool; it was okay as a room other than the electrical problems. There was coffee available any time, and a pleasant seating area/library or den. A bit run down; not as nice as other Best Westerns. The hot tub was cold, and we were told it wasn't working -- my husband had stayed there four years ago and the hot tub didn't work then, and it's irritating when a place advertises a hot tub and then doesn't have one. Again, several nice features but not much customer service. We'd been told we could speak with the manager the following day but he wasn't there.
Nice rooms, pleasant Staff. Would definitely stay again. Pleanty of seating in breakfast area. Staff was on hand throughout the breakfast to keep items stocked and ravles cleaned. Rooms are clean. Excercise equipment is up to date and in working order
Be sure the telephone number of a auto glass repair place is on your speed dial if you are going to stay at this hotel. There are no security cameras or lights in the parking lot. Safety is a real issue. Our dog was in the car - obviously the thief did not care - and when we came out after having breakfast, we found her running around in the parking area of the hotel and our car window smashed, shattered glass everywhere, and the glove compartment and console "rifled through". To her credit - the receptionist at the front desk gave us directions to a very responsive auto glass repair in the neighborhood and due to their courtesy, we were on our way with a new car window in 2 hours. I would have been much happier had they told us when we checked in that they had been having problems with security in the parking lot. We would have stayed somewhere else for sure!
Have stayed at other hotels in the area, the staff at this best western made the very good into an excellent. Real food for breakfast, courteous staff, and clean facility make this, and best Western, my number one choice. Thank you for making our stay amazing!
When traveling in the Valley and staying in Stockton, I always choose the Best Western because it has a good value and is the cleanest and well kept motel available. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking including over flow at the near by grocery chain. The rooms facing the pool are quiet and have patios or balconies. The rooms facing March Lane are a bit loud due to street noise but still have the same great high speed internet, complimentary breakfast and comfy beds. The motel seems very safe in a city not known for that.
Arrived early evening. It was raining. Hotel is built in separate, unconnected buildings. You must go outside to get to your building - with no lighting or covering. Cars were b!ocking exterior walkways so you had to negotiate the luggage cart on the wet asphalt parking lot in the dark. Was almost hit by a car. When finally arrived in room, it had the ice maker on one wall and elevator on the other. Constant noise! Rooms should not even be located here! So had to get another room. Didn't have one in our building so had to out in the rain and go through the whole fiasco again. Also, the exterior hallways had steps so had to also negotiate the loaded luggage cart down dark, slippery steps. There was insufficient parking so we had to park in a grocery store lot. Avoid place at all costs! The building layout is very flawed and not fixable.
My husband and I were traveling to Lake Tahoe with our two teenagers and our dog when our car broke down in the evening. We needed a place to stay for the night and were delighted with our experience at this pet-friendly property. The rooms are clean and decent size, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The lobby is nice too. Overall, excellent value. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here one night with our pet. They gave us a room with dirty stained carpet and one thin blanket on the bed. Not enough to sleep well. There were no additional blankets in the closet. The location was 3 miles from I-5 freeway. That is important when you are traveling by auto.
After a pleasant night we went out to find my husbands bicycle had its wheels stolen from it. The hotel took its security system down a couple of weeks ago. The staff seemed casual about this incident. We will choose better next time. At least verify they have a working security system and the staff cares a little! Also don't use a reservation service. It cost us $25 more to reserve over the phone rather than in person and we may have chosen not to stay here because of the neighborhood.
Hard to find when exiting from the 5 freeway. Heavy shopping and traffic on the road to the hotel. Felt Okay when we finally arrived. We were also hungry but didn't want to go out and fight anymore traffic. We ordered in and had a reasonably good pizza delivered to our room.
while I travel quite a bit with my employment; it truly was great to get away with my daughter to relax and received the same quality of service that I've received in the past from various Best Western Hotel. Thank You, my daughter had a good time too.
Poor quality mattresses, paper thin walls, and a loose toilet seat top the list of reasons NOT to stay here. Evening staff were pleasant and the breakfast was above average for this price point, so I can give credit where it's due. But that's it. Noisy, drunk neighbors kept us up past 1 a.m., and a garbage truck beeped backing up promptly at 5 a.m. While management cannot do anything much about rude people, they could do a better job with the beds and noise proofing. A comment to staff as we checked out was dismissed with a mumbled apology. This was bad enough to warrant a discount or a free night. Bad business, Best Western. Pass this one by, folks.
The lobby was very nice, check -in was easy and let us check-in early. Very friendly. Rooms were nice and clean. Hot tea was tasty in our room. Bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. Only exception was bananas were over ripe for me and there were no forks to use, my only complaint.
This hotel was average. Toilet handle fell of and could not flush toilet. Leg to refrigerator fell off and it remained crooked and lopsided. Room was clean, but bed was old and mattress was well past it time. I came home with a sore back. Door cards tend not to work all the time and you must walk around the gated facility (1/4 of a mile) to get to front desk. I would call this a Best Western but not a Best Western Plus.
The hotel is well kept up and the ammenties are very nice. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable although starting to look a little dated. The breakfast was typical hotel style and was fine.
The whole experience was very positive, very friendly staff, clean rooms, good TV, the Internet was good. I would recommend this motel to everybody. I will definitely use this motel whenever I am in the area.
This Best Western is a clean comfortable hotel in a borderline sketchy area of the city. While the corridors could use some new carpets and some spiffing up, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel staff is very well trained in customer service and is eager to please. Security is good which is important for the location.
I would not recommend staying here. Dirty, unkept, torn carpet, torn furniture, cigarette burns on furniture, sticky bathroom floors, bathroom not clean, poor security, drugs being sold in front of hotel within steps of the front door.
This Best Western Plus Heritage Inn looks nice, great location, room, grounds and amenities were clean, convenient accessible parking and breakfast choices to satisfy different palates was refreshing.
good hotel comfy good breakfast its a BW and run well. It was just what we were looking for. Had a strange event with noise that kept me up in room 118....I hope they found out what it was for the next guest. breakfast was a walk so I was grateful it was not raining and the lady over seeing breakfast did not clean out the overflowing garbage cans. food selection and area to eat was good.
Quick service.quality service and my family very happy from Best Western that`s one most important for me to make my family happy .we always use Best Western for our trips and were happy whit there service
This is not a safe place to stay. There is supposed to be a "security fence" around the parking area but it doesn't really enclose the parking area and there are several large gaps where no fence exists. Consequently, while we were out with a cousin from 1:00-6:00 one afternoon, someone broke into the back of our car and stole 2/3rds of our clothing and 2 other bags - walking away with them in broad daylight. We called the desk to report it and were told that "someone will be right out" but no one came. And I had to go to the front desk to get results. We were 2 weeks into a month long trip so lost about $4,000 worth of items - and no one seemed to care. Then I started hearing from others about items being stolen from them in the past so they take everything into their room now. Huh? And you STILL stay here? It is not a safe place and apparently is in an unsafe city. So, stay at your own risk. We certainly will never stay here again.
Staff were professional, welcoming and very efficient upon check in and check out. Good value for your money. Will definitely stay there again when in town. Hotel is within 1 mile of major stores and restaurants. Easy access to major freeways.
We travel back and forth from Victoria BC to Lake Havasu city every year at the same time, we are running to or away from the weather . This is a Hotel we like to stay at for more than one reason. It is our favorite best western and suits my driving. periods.
bad neighborhood - gun shots. Also, we got a call from security telling no to leave anything in our car as they have weekly multiple thefts from cars in their parking lot. It is not the fault of Best West it is the terrible neighborhood the hotel is in.
I booked a block of 9 rooms for two nights in October 2017, using a group rate for an event. BW confirmed the rate in writing. I was charged a much higher rate, however. When I called to let them know, the manager agreed I had been mischarged, and said they would send a confirmation email shortly. The confirmation never arrived. I called back a few days later, and had the same conversation with a new person, who said she would adjust the charge to a rate that was two dollars higher than I had been promised. Not a big deal in monetary terms, but odd and irritating. She did send an email confirmation, but some of the rooms still had the much higher rate. I will keep trying, but so far, no of the rooms have been charged at the promised rate, which was confirmed in writing. I'm disappointed that it takes this much effort, especially given that every BW employee I have talked to has agreed that I was charged the wrong rate.
Cocaine on bathroom counter, no parking at hotel, had to park in grocery store area. Couldn't eat at local fast food-so many police cars and activity at hotel throughout the night. UNSAFE area of town-in a drug infested slum
This was by far our most disappointing stay we can remember. So for that, we are thankful! However, I wish we would have read reviews before we made our reservations. No lighting in the back parking lot AT ALL. Internet did not work - was on hold for 15 minutes waiting for someone at the front desk to answer. When she did - I was told to call I.T.! Also, the lamps were unplugged, so we plugged them in to get light. The room smelled like bleach - really strong. Made my husband sick . The hallways also were chemically smells. Not the cleanest or comfortable feeling place to be. Will NEVER go to this one again!
The hotel is nice and clean the employees are super nice. My car was broken in to some time between 8 to 10 PM, the parking lot is open, somewhat dark and next to a supermarket's large parking area and a hang out for criminasls just waiting for an opportunity, be careful not to leave any thing I mean any thing visible in your car and park in a well lit area. After my car window was broken the two neighbors below kept checking on their trucks all night one had a working truck and another a new motorcycle on it, I bet they had very little sleep.
The hotel rooms are dated but clean. The exterior needs to be cleaned and more secure. The reception and breakfast staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good. Had a variety of choices.
Staff were courteous, prompt and helpful. The room smelled, and the jaccuzzi bathtub was broken. Once reported was fixed within 15 minutes. There is a grocery store in the parking lot great for last minute items you forgot to pack.
Hallways were pretty disgusting when we opened the hallway door. Carpets, doors, walls looks like they haven't been touched/cleaned in 30 years. Housekeeping seemed like they did their best to clean their rooms...but the sheets and beds seem like they have been around since the 80s and were pretty gross. The whole room just gave a pretty gross/bacteria filled feeling. The rooms and hallways need a serious update for the price you pay.
I enjoyed my sray and also my family. The two rooms were clean and nice the ameneties were good the breakfast was exeptional. I will defenetly choose best western in the future.the locatiom was fairly close to were i was going. Unfortionately i couldnt use the pool. Cause o t was chilli. But i will nexr rime i stay here. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.
It was the least expensive near the meeting. The hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood and is rather run down. But the staff was very nice, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. So for the money it was acceptable.
The price for this room was supposed to be $89, which we were shown on a tournament site, but when arriving we paid $99 plus all taxes. We received a smoking room, with horrible stains on the bed and floor. The air unit was on high all night and all three of us in the room were sweating. You obviously can't get the smell out of that room because it's in the carpets, curtains, etc...Most disgusting room we've EVER been in and we travel 3 weekends out of the month. We refused to go barefoot on the carpet. Gross!!!
I made a reservation requesting a king bed smoking room with a view of the pool and check in by noon. The woman who checked me in said no rooms were ready but she also said she'd found a rooms with QUEEN beds with a BALCONY and a view of the pool. It was NOT, it didn't have a BALCONY not was it on the side WITH a view. The room had TINY bugs in the bathroom, the chair is raggedy and I am certainly not with this type of room. I don't mess my room or furniture up and I don't appreciate being put in rooms like this at all!
Outlets in room didn't work, spent 1st night in smoking room, disgusting, was able to move next night. Breakfast was good, shared parking lot with a Food for less grocery store and behind hotel was a drive thru and a bank. Location was weird
Was really pleased with my visit.1 the front desk was so Pleasant very friendly.2 the breakfast was really good and different was like corn tortilla egg cheese and some kind sauce so good never had before 3.young lady was so nice friendly asked me how my morning was and offered to fill my coffee.I feel so at home I go back to my room the manager of cleaning gave me extra towels she was real apologetic about a baby roach I found.I told her I seen worse she kept saying sorry. I seen her about 3times and every time she was smiling and on her little ear thing, making sure the guest was getting what they wanted. I was in the elevator she asked if she can go down with me.I told her never seen some one so happy to be at work she said could be worse and thankful for a job.I asked her were does she see her self in the next 5years she said hopefully higher up, smiled at me and told me enjoy my day.Just knowing people are appreciated of work is nice. An to be sorry for something she has no control of this hotel has such a friendly staff.Do not see that these days any more. The staff and caring out weights the roach.
This hotel was a joke. Staff was not friendly, tv didnt work, and we deterred a car break in. Only good thing was the bed and the breakfast. It looked nice in the pictures but i did not feel safe and for the price we paid I am very unhappy.
The bed was big but not really comfortable. There were kids in multiple rooms on my floor being very loud. Doors slamming very early in the morning. The vents in the air conditioning unit were filthy. I left this place with a very bad sinus headache
This location is very nice but also very busy. It's next to a grocery store so there is a bit of traffic. They had a wedding when we checked in and a tennis tournament group when we left. The room was still quit and relaxing and the staff was very nice. The breakfast items are a lot better than most best westerns.
This hotel, we stayed here for what should have been 2 nights , however after our return from a day in San Francisco we arrived back to our room, to the same mess that was there when we left that morning, no maid service! we then went outside to enjoy the pool when we felt water dripping on us from the balcony above where the people staying were drying their jeans that were hanging over the balcony soaking wet like 6 pair. Into the pool area we went and were greeted to a table full of drunk and still drinking men playing music and using extreme profanity, I have a 6 year old. We complained and checked out that night at approximately 8pm after only being back at the hotel for maybe 45 minutes. We tried to get a refund and were denied by management. this Motel is disgusting and full of drugs and partiers. I would be ashamed to call this a Best anything, Best western should be ashamed of themselves.
I normally stay in Sacramento, but for some reason all the rates were more than I was willing to pay; so I opted for Stockton. This facility was very nice. I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Stockton.
This is a very decent hotel, especially for the price. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. A would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again.
The staff and the breakfast were wonderful, the best of Best Western brand for sure. However, the location is problematic, the parking is challenging and there is an abandoned strip mall next door that left me feeling less than safe. The other unfortunate thing was the hot tub and pool. They were not clean, I was thinking maybe the filter was broken or something? If it were just for the staff, I'd definitely stay again, but for the location and amenities I probably will not.
We spent one night and the room was spacious, clean and not noisy. Nice sized breakfast room with plenty of seating. Handy location to University of the Pacific (UOP). It was about a 8 to 10 minute drive to campus where we were attending an event. We'd stay there again.
We arrived late without a reservation and were quickly checked into a clean and quiet room. The hotel is located close to a variety of restaurants and shopping. The breakfast room and food gave us terrific start to our travel the next day. Overall great value.
Very nice breakfast and breakfast area. Oddly situated with the Food 4Less grocery store parking lot, but seems safe enough. Many restaurants located nearby and a couple minutes away from Highway 5. Also has a bar area.
One of the "best" Best Westerns I have stayed in ! Friendly, efficient staff. Great location. Good breakfast (it was hot). The full bar was a plus, coupled with the free arrival drink. Really the only bright spots (for me) was this hotel, and the Stockton Ports ballpark.
Very nice place. Pleasant employees. Nice room with free wifi. They had the best free breakfast I've had at any hotel. Comfortable bed and pillows. We stayed in a handicapped room because we wanted ground floor. Fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Will stay here again.
At check in, the attendee made no effort to validate the guests id before me who happened to have the same last name. Had i not coincidentally followed right after them i am sure i would have had an even more difficult time. When it was discovered they placed my personal info on the guests paperwork before me, the manager instead of apologizing profusely had me provide proof of my rate that i had booked online which was lower than the new quote they were giving me. Afterwards she apologized and assured me they had fixed the issue. However, the next day after we had checked out, i received a call if i was going to stay an extra day bc all my stuff was still in the room, apparently they still had my info connected to that room. i called back and asked to speak with manager, attendee advised no manager was in that day but would give them the message and stress the urgency. One week later i still have not received a call and i am confident there is someone out there walking with my personal info and billing information. Never staying at a western again, i dont play with my personal data and they dont seem to care. Please dont take that risk either!
This hotel is in a high crime area and we did not feel safe. I wish I had read the reviews before booking. You have to park in the Food for Less parking lot and there are lost of unsavory characters outside the hotel at night. I never saw a security guard. Our hotel room carpet was so dirty that the bottom of my feet were black with dirt. This is an awful hotel. Do not say here!
Nice stay, good staff, pleasant rooms, nice for dogs, It is located in a nice area close to a mall and restaurants as well as easy access to the freeway. Breakfast was super, waffles, eggs , Denver eggs, oatmeal, take away fruit, OJ and good coffee.
Start with the only good thing...the ladies in he breakfast room are wonderful. They kept the area clean, well stocked and were available for helping when needed. Now the rest of the story. If you want to have no safe parking, have to park in the nearby grocery store lot, or in the dark back of he hotel...this is the place for you. They have even taken 3 spots in front of building A and made them 15 minute parking to check in (no one uses them for that, folks just park and stay). They have "events" such as weddings that take up all the guest parking and are loud late into the night. If you want to sleep, try back side of building B. Construction all around building takes up much of the little parking available and plan, at least for now for pounding throughout the day. If you like rude housekeeper, no bedspreads (we had an extra sheet they were using for a bedspread) sagging matresses and dirty looking carpet....this is the place for you. Carpet in hallways ripped Laundry facilities out of order, those that work take your money (got 3 extra quarters from me the night I washed clothes). Pool has paint peeling and filthy bottom. Hot tub should be cultured. Nice area to sit in though. If you like car jackings as your entertainment this may be your place. A woman was checking in, left her child in the car and someone took it with child in it. Woman drug on the ground trying to get child out. Happy ending, child was dropped with total stranger across town and safely reunited with mommy. Lots of homeless hanging around and asking for a couple bucks. There is a security guard, but keep in mind he cannot be everywhere at once. Several cars broken in to while I was there. If you ask for a manager, don't plan on getting a "real one". In California all the hotel workers are licensed as "managers". You will get whoever is available, usually without any power to change or fix anything. If you just need to stay for a night and get there early enough to get a spot in front of hotel, and a good room (we talked to people who had been moved 3 times to get a decent room) without bugs and clean enough for you to want to stay I guess it would be ok. I will not be back.
Room was clean and spacious. Problem arose because facility had a large party booked. Parking was full due to this and desk clerk told us to park in lot of neighboring supermarket. This was unacceptable as well as inconvenient with luggage, etc. Nose from band, especially the booming base shook the room until about 11pm. Beds were comfortable and we were able to sleep well after the music stopped.
It was a pleasant stay for an overnight stop on a trip. I would recommend this hotel for a stop over on a trip. It was a short distance off the highway but not inconvenient. It was a busy area but didn't affect the stay there.
Stayed here for the night while driving back home on the 5 fwy. Beautiful place. Huge. There were different buildings, so it was a little confusing to find our building and our room at first, and where we should park to be close to our building, but we got the hang of it. Very reasonable rate. Got a really balcony room overlooking the pool. Tried out the pool and hot tub right away. Very nice. Only complaint was a couple of guys sitting on their balcony blasting speedmetal music for all to hear! What the...? There were families down at the pool, people looking up at them puzzled, but they just sat there, hostile and uncaring. Wish security would have taken care of that! Just WHO are the type of people that would act that way, without any consideration for others? Honestly. Anyway, other than that, the hotel was comfy and clean. Bathtub was a little small and the water pressure not very strong nor the water very hot. Nice clean fluffy towels though. And, nice touch: a complimentary wine or beer at the bar off the lobby for every adult in your room. For dinner, we didn't feel like driving anywhere, and there weren't many restaurants within walking distance. Neighborhood didn't look very safe to walk anyway. There is a Food 4 Less across the parking lot we walked over to and picked up some frozen dinners. Customer base seemed to be all people from the Projects across the street. Coming back there was an odd homeless type guy hanging out in the exterior stairwell to our building, but we quickly used our key and didn't linger. I'm glad I had my husband with me and hadn't gone out alone like I was going to! If you stay inside the property (all protected by keyed doors) it's great. Their breakfast room was huge and looked more like a nice restaurant. The breakfast options were good, the usual things.
This place is worth the money while staying in Stockton. Very nice breakfast and a free drink at the bar have me returning here. Recommended for business travelers. Rooms overlooking pool are very nice.
I had a small rough start at my arrival. I was tired and not looking my best. The front desk stuff had their guard up, and that is understood. Once I presented my credentials and form of payment every thing change for the better. The room was spacious and super clean. The buffet breakfast was very delicious! This place has been one of my best experiences I ever had.
If you want to find an awful and unclean hotel with over 50-year-old equipments in a unsafe neighborhood, this is it. One of my friends had to change their room 3 times due to noise and bug etc. The hallway smelled ......
We were driving to Phoenix and booked this hotel at the last minute for a night and thinking three stars hotel with Best Western should be decent for the night. The lighting was dark, carpet is filthy and the elevator making loud noises and we should have known not to take the elevator. My husband stuck in the elevator with the maintenance guy for half an hour and the fire department had to get them out.
We stayed a total of 5 nights. Our non-smoking had a strong smoking odor. We asked for another room but everything was booked. We had to open our windows while the A/C was on high. It was wasteful but we couldn't breathe. I would not stay here again even though it was in-expensive.
The check-in was okay and the front desk staff was fairly friendly. Got in the room and found the A/C off. So it was very hot and took a while to cool down. The room is old and like many old rooms there are very limited power outlets. The closet was okay with an iron and ironing board. The bathroom was okay with low end toiletries. Although the replacement toilet paper was mildewed and extremely nasty. The bed and bedding were okay. The desk was okay. I did not turn on the tv. The room had a microwave and refrigerator that were both functional. The alarm clock worked and so did all the lamps. The property itself seemed like it had been nice at one point in time. But those days have passed. There is a bar that is open in the evening for a limited amount of time. There is also a large breakfast area. The hotel is at the end of a Food 4 Less grocery store parking lot. That was convenient, but made more a very busy place. There was almost constant traffic with music blaring and thumping. Access is by room key and you will need it often as there are many gates and all entry doors are locked. The best thing about the hotel was the breakfast. It was better than what is offered at most Fairfield/Hampton hotels. But, you are given a piece of paper when you check-in that you have to show each time you enter, even if just for coffee. Although there is coffee in the lobby, it is rarely hot and I skipped it most days. So getting asked 3-4 times a morning for my slip of paper was frustrating. There is a pool and a hot tub. The pool was a strange shade of blue/green so I did not use the pool. The hot tub was under repair, but was available later in the week. At checkout I tried to get an itemized bill and could not. The front desk staff explained it so I asked for some higher up contacts to discuss the policy. They just kept trying to explain it to me as if I were an idiot. Very disrespectful. The bottom line is that this is a semi-dangerous area. They are worried about people sneaking into eat breakfast for free. That should tell you all you need to know. If there were more options in the area I would expect this property to close or convert to rent by the hour rooms.
Got into the hotel at 2:45am, Still pleasant greeting. The layout of the buildings was very confusing and if you use one of those "help carts" forget about parking lot to room. There are NO ramps to the buildings. Lots of steps, made check out with a bum knee a little difficult.
Just left (escaped) this hotel. Lost $100 because of short cancellation. But my safety is worth it. I was booked for tonight, but when I saw the extreme safety issues, I chose to leave! Cars with window broken out INSIDE hotel parking lot. Projects across the street. Homeless people. I called to complain and say I couldn't possibly stay due to safety/crime issues, and was told "NO REFUNDS!" I stay in many hotels and this was top worst hotel for me. I value my safety, car, possessions, all of which would have been up for grabs if I had stayed. Stay away. Stay away. Stay away.
Dirty and unsafe. For the price, stay at the Hilton a couple miles down. Saw cars and rooms broken into, homeless people sleeping in the hall. They allow a cat to roam in the breakfast area. Overall just a gross place
Very comfortable motel and friendly staff. Key card didn't always work in the gates and had to walk around to the front lobby since the back door was only open certain hours. Convenient to grocery store and taqueria. Rental car next door, but not open until 8 am. All car rental offices in the area closed on the July 4th holiday which was the reason for the first overnight stay. No shuttle and a distance from the airport which required ~$35.00 to $40.00 taxi ride. Excellent hot continental breakfast. Free drink in the bar which opens ~4 pm.
hotel room was clean and comfortable. Desk staff were friendly and helpful, efficient at check in. Happy hour and breakfast was great! Food at breakfast was hot and fresh, service staff were helpful and kept everything stocked.
First staff member was rude. Second staff member was nice. Unaccommodating and difficult to work with when circumstances are unusual. Noisy area and I got very little sleep. Breakfast was above average. I will not be staying there again.
It's not a kid friendly hotel wanted to charge us extra because we asked for more towels to take a shower I don't wash my face and shower with the same towel I would never stay at this hotel ever again when I'm in stockon
Room was nice, late parking was a mess. It appears that if you come late, you cannot park around the hotel, you have to park in the back lot and walk around. Other than that, property nice, rooms clean. Great amenities.
You are not disappointed with their service. Best place in town! Best breakfast with the best service everything here is so hospitable! Front desk people are always sweet and very helpful through your stay.
Friendly staff, clean rooms. Great breakfast! Easy location to get to. Even though we were in a 100% non-smoking hotel, it was obviously apparent, from the odor in the hallways, that there were a few rooms that had people smoking pot.
We had a fine time and the hotel provided all the amenities we could ask for...a good breakfast, a comfortable room, and convenience in regards to local shopping. We would use this Best Western Hotel for any visits to Stockton in the future.
Loved room, esp. frig with freezer, comfy bed, clean, professional helpful staff, good Internet, great breakfast, lots of electrical plugs, carpet in room, very comfortable & good with our request to be near door.Regretted hot tub was in hot sun.
Staff very nice. My room was upgraded. The room was very nice and spacious. The Internet was not hard to access and it was not extremely slow, which in itself is extremely unusual. I did have noisy neighbors above me and at breakfast there was not enough room for everyone to have a place to eat and had to stand in long line to get some of the items. The staff was nice and very helpful in being able to find items.
Pleasantly surprised after reading all of the bad reviews. I liked that you got a free beer or glass of wine each night and the free breakfast list was extensive and they did a good job of changing it up each day or so. The rooms stayed clean with maid service and nothing was skipped my only complaint was the hallway smelled like weed and elevator other then that the front desk staff made us feel welcomed and we enjoyed the stay minus the bad area of Stockton.
It was during a extremely torrid heat wave and the room and all the hotel facilities were pleasantly cool. also, the hotel staff were very accommodating family member visiting to attend a funeral . All in all and very worthwhile experience
The Best Western Plus Heritage Inn is a bit dated on the both the outside and inside. The hallways need a good paint job, the Carpets are very worn. The rooms a bit dated, the bed comfortable. I slept well. Now with that being said, I do recommend staying at this hotel. The hotel staff is exceedingly professional and highly trained. I bring up these issues because its a BW "Plus". BW needs to bring the property up to a "Plus" Status.
I'm traveling with just my little girl, so I wish I'd picked someplace else, where I'd feel safer. Our room is clean enough, but in the hallways the carpets are stained and snagged here and there, and there is trash that needs to be vacuumed up. I've passed a few shady looking characters in the hall, and in the elevator someone has clearly been smoking pot. The front desk staff were civil, nothing more.
Motel felt old, with poor updates. Hallway and room had odor. Had to run AC all night, couldn't open window due to parking situation. The parking lot felt unsafe. Trucks running all night next to room. We felt locked in due to late arrival and traveling with a pet.
This hotel is getto, not clean. poor attention by staff. shady people in around the hotel. Did not feel comfortable, safe or clean. One of the Worst Best Westerns I have ever stayed in - I would not recommend this hotel nor stay again.
The room was a good size, and we were pleased that they allowed pets. It does seem to be in a scary part of town, but the hotel has security partrol the parking lot though out the night. There is a grocery store right next door. It's a little older building, but a pretty one. We didn't use the pool, there were lots of worker people drinking beers and hang around the courtyard and the pool. Breakfast was good, and the dining is large and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
This would be a 5 star review if my issue had been resolved. The hotel is nice, staff was friendly. The breakfast was incredible. The pool and spa was refreshing and relaxing. Free drink each night at the bar was nice. Im reviewing as 3 stars because the air conditioning unit did not work in my room (113) for 3 of the days I stayed. I reported the problem 2 out 3 of the days and was told they can't switch my room, only send maintenance. Never sent maintenance. Room stayed very hot. As a truck driver, my wife and I rent hotels on my weekends off to get ourselves and the dog OUT of the heat. For paying over $300 for 3 nights plus the $20 per night pet fee to sleep in a hot room and leave my dog in a hot room each day and night was EXTREMELY disappointing to say the least.
I stayed here while working over by the Stockton airport. The hotel has plenty of parking, night security, a nice pool and a taqueria within walking distance. I will stay again next time I am in town.
This place was just OK. The rooms were clean, but in need of some work. The staff was helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was great. The pool was not heated and the Jacuzzi was filthy. The rooms had a refrigerator and a microwave, and there was a grocery store within walking distance.
We were told our reservation was cancelled upon check in and they wouldn't even tell us by who. I called the previous day to check on our room so that I could feel confident things were scheduled correctly and was reassured they were. Oh, they had another room available to us, but for several hundred dollars more than our original booking. Do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Their customer care is horrible. Homeless wonder the property and one does not feel safe being there. And that was just what we saw from our car!
Have stayed the past 3 years and I was a bit disappointed this time. Fridge was replaced with one that had a frozen chicken nugget and a water bottle. Mucus stain on the brown spread. No pool towels..
The staff are absolutely wonderful. The manager, the breakfast staff, and the housekeepers all worked seamlessly together to make my trip quite wonderful. Though the rooms and hallways could have used some maintenance, the clean rooms and the fast wifi made up for it.
Everything we needed for this trip. Met all of our expectations. Would stay again if in area. Clean, parking excellent. Consistent with what we were looking for in BestWestern Plus hotels, which we are now a member of the rewards program.
From the loud party, smelly building, non functioning room door, no hot water, loud refrigerator in room, I'd say this was the worst experience I've ever had! I've stayed in a hotel every other week for the past three years!
If you are looking for a clean hotel, good breakfast, courteous staff and decent rate, this is for you. The location, however, is not safe. Homeless beggars, drug addicts, speeding cars, fight that escalated into gunshots in/out of the hotel. NOT GOOD. Do yourself and your family a favor and stay somewhere safer.
This hotel is a little strange in it's layout (buildings A, B, C). The corridors are uncooled (hot in Spring) and very ugly. But the rooms are nicer than the LaQuinta Inn in La Palma, where we had stayed right before traveling through Stockton, on the way home. Maintenance didn't communicate to the front desk that all of the ice machines were simultaneously turned off in the morning, which seemed strange. Ice machines were located on the second floor of each building. The room was nice & quiet although other lodgers were audible in the hall ways. The bathroom was very nice & the fridge was on the large side. The microwave was difficult to interpret while very tired from driving but adequate. Be careful to not overheat beverages. Internet was fine but not secure. The beds & the bathroom were the best parts. The breakfast was okay but utilized a ticket system (ticket dispensed at check in) & was only good for one entry to breakfast bar. The fare was simple & adequate. I would have appreciated to be able to return after my initial visit, as I'm a light eater. There was a bar, of which I don't know the details. We arrived late at night & left in the morning.
Broken elevator. Loud guests had no respect for other guests. Extremely strong smell of marijuana on our nonsmoking floor. Garbage in the hallways outside of people's doors. Dark parking lot in some areas, park under or near a light, and on a side of the hotel with windows.
Other than not feeling safe outside of my room, it was an enjoyable stay. Staff was great, breakfast was above average if you didn't mind standing in line for an hour. Area surrounding the motel (and the city in general) sucks.
This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. I cancelled the second night I was supposed to stay there. The carpets are smelly, everything is old and cheap, therefore falling apart, very dirty. No real hot water. It's not worth the cheap'ish price. Also the location is not great.
Due to emergency auto repairs I was passing through Stockton on a Friday night, at the end of the Easter break. Normally would have stayed at a hotel closer to I-5, but they were full. This hotel is just a few miles away. Probably 1/2 way between hwy 99 and I-5. Clean and quiet.
Stayed overnight for convenience, cheap easy and fast. Was able to book a king bed for that night, and got a great price as well. I recommend getting the Best Western rewards membership, I think it will come in handy.
This Best Western is spectacular to see , the reception area is very special with it's grand staircase . The bar just to the left of reception is very nice with a door going out to the spectacular swimming pool that was being used by a great group . This trip was on April 15/17 and the weather was great .
Everyone was helpful:no problems:like the fact on the other side of parking lot is a grocery store . Stores and malls are right down the street! Breakfast is good ! Love the fact that the staff refilled it, cleaned it constantly! Good job!
A lovely hotel in a great location with a free glass of wine, newspapers, and breakfast. Lovely pool and clean grounds. The breakfast had chorizo and eggs, waffles, potatoes, nuts, oatmeal, yogurt in a beautiful breakfast room.
the evening hotel staff is very pleasant to work with and the overall experience was very good. the rooms are very clean with nice views of the pool. the pool is also very clean and is a little small but still a good pool
This was a great hotel to stay in. I recommend this place for anyone visiting Stockton, CA. I couldn't believe how comfortable was the bed! My family and I was so happy about the he stay and how nice and clean it was.
The hotel was clean by the decor was old and outdated. However it appeared they are making some improvements. Hopefully that extends to all the rooms. It is conveniently located to University of the Pacific.
We found absolutely no problems with cleanliness, rooms, noise, odors or anything at all. We had a wonderful two day stay, and had to make very quick plans on a hotel due to a death in the family. All of the staff were pleasant, especially the front desk staff. We also woke each morning to a substantial and good breakfast. The next time I return to Stockton, I will be staying there again.
Everything was good. Great friendly staff. Great breakfast selection set up. The only thing was that the T.V was not in Best working condition it was in full screen slight blur. Should be set to widescreen remote wouldn't allow us to fix it.
Lobby has been remodeled so was very nice until we got to the room - we dropped our bags and left to go somewhere so didn't see it til we got back -when it was too late to change hotels - it was smelly and the chair and ottoman were dirty, smelly. Carpet filthy! Had to sleep with door open to have fresh air.
I have stayed at many hotels in the last few years considering I work out of town quite a bit. This is one of the best that I have in a very long time. They have a complimentary drink in the bar at the end of a long workday and a good breakfast in the morning to get the day started.
Better parking for a semi truckeasier access in and outmaybe even a parking space just for semi trucks make it easier to get in and out so you don't damage property or other vehicles lot straight lower stressful getting in and out
Price quoted different from check out number and claims that manager was available to resolve. The manager quoted a rate that he changed after without my knowledge when I quote a job I must stick by that price quoted!!!!!
We checked in & were given swipe cards & a room in Building B at the back. The cards would not unlock the door at the end of this building. We found a gate by the pool & tried another door unsuccessfully, but luckily someone was exiting so we got in. The hallway was without decor & badly in need of a facelift. The room, itself, was OK but we didn't feel like we were in a Best Western plus motel or even in a regular Best Western. It felt more like we were in a rundown establishment.
We booked a room at the Heritage Inn while traveling south on I-5 in central California. The March Lane exit is easy off and on, but the hotel is actually about a mile off the freeway. It is located near shopping malls that feature all major stores. The facilities are nice with an upscale look. The free breakfast is top quality and offers a nice brunch like quality to the food. This was probably the highest quality breakfast I have found at a BW facility. The staff was courteous and caring.
A standard BW hotel in most ways, they now offered specialty teas and real sausages for breakfast (not mystery meat). The dining area looks pleasant and spacious. Staff are courteous and friendly and the desk clerk offered us free glasses of wine. The facility is a bit tired and the spa had a muddy green color. Otherwise the room was clean and quiet and near our car for easy unloading. We will stay again.
Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage links, clean and cozy room make for a great stay. This is the second time we've been here for my daughter's gymnastics competition. Customer service is great at the front desk and so is it with the wait staff at the dining are. A third stay is definitely a possibility!
We were in the A building, nice room with two queen beds. Had a refrigerator and nice shower. Parking was not an issue, also included free breakfast. the front desk was very nice and moved us through quickly both on entrance and exit.
Service was really good (The Best). But I had problems with, Wireless Internet. I could connect. I suspect router problems. I had to go over to the main building to connect. Once I had that, I had it the rest of my stay. But I did not shut down and have to reconnect. One light switch did not seem to work. The plug in the tub was broke. The bar to pull close the curtain broke when I tried to use it. The remote for the TV worked, but not very well. Breakfast Was Awesome!!!! The Staff were also Awesome!!!! Parking was OK, There are times you had to share with a supermarket.
Location for my purpose was best in Stockton. Liked my room. Breakfast was very good but large tour bus group jammed things up at 6am Sunday morning when we were in a hurry for an early morning event.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is in the Stockton-Tracy Ca area. The employee's are friendly and go above and beyond the call of duty. I will be coming back to this hotel. I like the idea that everything there was clean and each room had a patio or balcony surrounding the pool.
Though it was quiet. That is all I can say was nice about this hotel. I would give ZERO stars if I could so ZERO. Blood on the toilet seat, dirty sheets. They actually had black all over the sheets. I did not sleep in the sheets because of this but on top of the bed covers. Splatters on the drapes and and lampshade. Stains on the floor from food or who knows what. The front desk and room service do not answer calls from the rooms. When I checked out. The girl said she would have the manager call me. The manager has not called as yet. When I called they did NOT answer the phone it just rang and rang. I called and complained to best western I got a thirty dollar gift card. In my opinion I should be refunded completely. Because of this I will NOT use Best Western again gift card or not.
The hotel was nice, staff friendly and helpful, complimentary beverages and breakfast were great, but the area was very sketchy. Homeless people wandering around, trash in parking lot, loud cars cruising through the parking lot. I worried my car would get broken into. So we would probably stay at another location in the future.
Despite the City's overall rough appearance I felt safe and secure staying at this hotel. We found the hotel staff to be super friendly and helpful. Our room was updated and clean. The breakfast offered was restaurant quality and unmatched to any complimentary breakfast I have encountered.
My wife and I stayed here Sept. 9th. The lobby seemed recently redecorated and were greeted by friendly employees wanting to help us. The check in was quick and off the room we went. The hallway to our room seemed worn and need of updating compared to the lobby, Are room was better, it was clean and what you would expect a hotel room to look like. They had a Microwave and Refer. in the room. We had no issue that night except there was no Ice Machine on the 3rd floor. I needed to go to the car after it was dark and found the had Security roaming the area, which was nice. They offered Hot Breakfast in the lobby in the morning but we did have it. Our overall experience was good, .
Nice clean location, good breakfast, attentive staff. We got into a room and I guess their elevator was pretty loud and kept us from falling asleep, called front desk, 10 min later we were in the new room on the 3rd floor, the attendant walked us into the new room, nice.
My husband and I stayed here overnight on 14 September 2016. We found a big, clean room with plenty of toiletries. Breakfast was good, including bacon and sausage and eggs, plus the standard carb entries. The staff was courteous and helpful when we needed information. But the hotel furnishings looked tired and worn, in definite need of updating. The carpet in our room failed the "clean sock" test. In the hall near the elevator, a repair in the carpet was clearly visible through the threadbare flooring. Although we were satisfied with our stay, we were disappointed in the hotel over all. As a result, I rated this hotel as a three-star instead of four.
The King suite states it accommodates 4 people, but it does not. We thought it would have a hide-a-bed or something? NOPE!! So be careful booking a King suite if you have 4 people. My kids had to sleep on the floor, they did not have any roll a ways available either. It did have a great breakfast though :) John
I would say this is a 3.5 star property. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff very friendly, the included breakfast very good and the price is right. I needed a dog friendly hotel for a short hunting trip and this hotel exceeded my expectations.
First, let me just say that every member of staff I interacted with was extremely friendly and, upon check out, apologetic. The poor rating is in no way a reflection of my experience with the staff. However, excellent guest interaction can't make up for the pests that were found in our room on the third morning of what was going to be a six night stay. We killed four small bugs and one large cockroach, and also found a dead one in the mini fridge next to my daughters milk. As a former hotel manager, I know what proper pest control is and how important it is to stay on top of it. Lots of guests travel from all over, and little critters can hitchhike on luggage, which is why every room needs serviced on a regular basis and every report of pests needs to be addressed ASAP. It doesn't sound like that's being done. The hotel needs a renovation, true. But, the real problem is the pest control. Guests can mostly overlook outdated decor, especially when service is top rate. Pest control cannot and should not ever be overlooked.
Our room was nice and clean..The hall ways could stand to be repainted and cleaned up but the rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was very nice and lots of choices!. Nice swimming pool and jacuzzi . Also enjoyed the in house bar with complementary first drink. Overall a nice hotel at a good price. Located near a rough looking area but did not bother us at all. Again, the staff was very helpful and friendly!!
Check in was a breeze, room was better than expected. breakfast was a nice surprise, one of the better breakfast and dinning area than others Best Western I been too. I felt as I got my money worth overall, would I stay at this hotel again? YES!
did not feel special as Diamond member. daughter given room facing street - extremely noisy late at night. shower pressure too low and water not hot enough. bathroom ventilation did not work. TV has not HD. guest_folio not emailed automatically - had to call hotel.
This is a nice hotel with courteous staff. But there were a lot of homeless in the area and they were walking through the parking lot all night leaving us concerned with our belongings in our vehicle.
There were bed bugs found in our room, the front desk staff was completely unconcerned about them. We were simply told "Yeah, we have been spraying for them." When we called to get more towels (before bugs were found) they were delivered wet and smelling of chlorine.
Had a conference in Lodi and booked this hotel at the last minute. My conference was to start at 12:00 noon and normal check-in time is in the afternoon at 3:00pm. I asked the gentleman at the front desk if he could get me in early so I could change and get to my conference by noon (it was 10:30 and I had driven 5 hours from Los Angeles at that point!!) He assured me he'd have a room for me and it was, indeed, ready for me when I showed up around 11:00. The room was about what you'd expect from a Best Western, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and a reasonably-sized room for the price. Slept well, had breakfast the next morning, and was on my way home. Breakfast foods were more than adequate and the wait staff for the buffet were pleasant and helpful. Great place! Well-managed staff with an eye on taking care of customers' needs. Highly recommend.
For the daily rate offered, I felt you get quite a bit, The breakfast was very nice with many choices, the free cocktail daily for everyone in your party (21 & older) was an added plus. Good location for visiting your student at University of the Pacific. Rooms were clean with microwave, frig and coffee maker. The only con was the hallway corridors could use some TLC.
Well kept property that has an interior ambiance of Old California. Excellent staff. Good hot breakfast (biscuit gravy could be better). Complimentary bar beverage at night,Perfect Wi-Fi! (important if you're on business). Time to change mattresses. Back issues are personal and mattresses where you don't hear the springs are important. Otherwise, a very good value for the price point!
I know when I book a room at BW that I will have a comfortable, restful stay. Stockton was no exception. The facility was very good quality in appearance and personnel. When I travel, BW is my 'home'. I have stayed at other chains, but BW seems to be consistent in their product.
My husband and I booked a poolside balcony room for one night. We were looking forward to sitting out on the balcony after our long trip. When we pulled up in front of the hotel around 7 PM we noticed some questionable looking apartments across the street and the hotel was sitting next to a Food 4 Less Market. The outside of the hotel and the lobby looked nice and clean though. However, as we pulled up to check in we heard unbelievably loud music coming from what appeared to be the pool area. It sounded like someone had brought in a professional DJ who had cranked up the volume to the max on his music apparatus. We were absolutely stunned standing there listening when a woman with two children walked into the gate and asked us if we knew what was going on with the loud music. We immediately went inside the lobby where the blasting music could be easily heard as well and asked the hotel clerk what was going on. She said they were trying to take care of it and that they had asked these hotel guests to turn it down a few times. My husband and I said we could not stay at this hotel with this noise and we were told we could get a room in another building. I asked if it had a balcony and a pool and was told it did not. I explained that the reason we came to this hotel was because of the balcony and pool and we couldn't believe the hotel was allowing this loud music. The clerk then said that people have the right to celebrate their birthday. I said that I don't believe so when other people are paying good money to have a peaceful stay. The other clerk also mentioned something about a birthday celebration, that these guests have a right to celebrate and that it will probably go on until 10 or 11 PM. We immediately said we wanted to cancel and the hotel clerks said it was not problem. However, now we had to find another place on a Friday evening. One of the clerks mentioned the Marriott Courtyard so we called and booked the last pool view balcony room. We had to pay $25 more but it was so worth it! The Marriott is located in the best neighborhood and the rooms were beautiful. Plus, the pool area was quiet. Our balcony also did not face an inner courtyard of other balconies around a pool as the Best Western appeared to be based on the pictures. I can only imagine that several other guests must have changed rooms or checked out of the hotel that night. When we left the hotel the music had dropped down a few volumes but was still very loud. My advice: break open your piggy banks and go to the Marriott Courtyard down the street. You won't regret it.
Everything about my stay was pleasant and the hotel is nice for Stockton! Fast Internet, friendly staff and clean rooms. Will definitely stay here again doing business in Stockton. I would recommend this hotel.
Stinky smell in halls, the carpet has not beeen vacumed in days. The lighting throughout is dim.The hotel is in a getto area and people loiter around cars at night. The place has not been updated in years.PRETTY UGLY PLACE
Had a great experience. The only issue was they didn't have the credit card/house acct info from my boss who paid for the room. They charges my cc until my boss had to call again & verify the info. Other than that a great hotel for the price & a really nice free breakfast. Staff was very nice & professional.
Service and check-in/out were handled quickly. Rooms were clean and decor and beds pleasant. Near a lot of good restaurants. Breakfast was included in the room rate. The breakfast area was clean, nicely decorated. Breakfast selection was great.
Excellent service, not high end but affordable and a great bang for you buck. Perfect location, convenient and very close to our ultimate destination while in Stockton. Parking was close, seemed safe, staff was very cordial and desired to make our stay comfortable.
My family and I stayed here on a road trip down to Anaheim. Very friendly staff, nice clean rooms and very affordable! 107/night which included a huge free breakfast for everyone the following morning before hitting the road. Nice looking pool too, although we didn't do any swimming. I would def stay here again.
If you are looking for a great value, Over the top on all levels including: Customer service, breakfast, clean and beautiful rooms, Great lounge area, beautiful & clean pool then stay here. They go above and beyond and are as loyal to their guests as their guests are to them! Thank you!
great staff ask for Thomas he's the best all staff is warmest and very cheerful when checking in to checking out cleaning staff was awesome they clean the room so well all staff is professional and is happy to assets you with what you need especially Thomas with his great attitude. Also being that its in Stockton the hotel I was not expecting all to great service but in the city the hotel is a diamond in the ruff great hotel and great staff...
Almost everything was perfect, no complaints. Staff is extremely professional and helpful/ friendly. Breakfast had a lot of choices of beverages, cereals, waffles, eggs, sausage and ham. a free beer or wine every night in the lounge from 5-9. room was comfortable. Good value. Will stay here again.
We stayed here with a couple other families for a family wedding. The hotel has a nice appearance, nice pool. The hotel is divided in 3 sections. Our section (A) was the closest to both the pool and lobby. Complementary breakfast was included, which was nice. Nothing fancy just your regular potatoes, eggs, sausage, cereals, yogurts etc. Beats McDonalds. Rooms- right as we got to building A the smell was horrible. The smell on the elevator, clearly smelled like drugs. Our rooms had a damp, urine smell along with a horrific smoke smell. On one occasion, we came across a couple leaving the elevator with tons of bags and a dog on top of those bags!!! And they left the elevator smelling like weed. Pack some Lysol and spray it continually.
Having been on the go since 6am we finally got to the hotel around 9pm. Looking forward to a shower and good nights rest. Check in was good and we received the room we booked. However, the bath had no towels and it appeared the the shower had been recently used. The remainder of the room was not cleaned as one would expect from a Best Western. Contacted the front desk and told to go to the lobby to obtain another room. After waiting in line, for others to check in, I received another room. Thankfully it was in the same building, but two beds rather that the original one king. Neither key would open the door, so back to the lobby to get another key. After fumbling around a couple of minutes, was able to get the replacement key to work. The air conditioner vent was broken, which kept the carpet quite comfortable, but the room not. SoI had to prop the vent up so the rest of the room would cool. The shower was lukewarm at best, with limited pressure. TV reception was quite poor for cable. The carpet entering the building hallway was very ,very dirty over a relatively small area, which should have been taken care of. The breakfast was vey good. Good assortment and nice seating accommodations. The staff in the breakfast room were excellent and the coffee quite good. Overall would have expected a bit more from a "Plus" hotel.
Check in went well but unfortunately we had key problems for a few hours the first evening as did other guests. I think they had a problem with the machine. The staff was very apologetic and responded quickly to the issues. I was happy I was on the 3rd floor of building B no view but the first floor had a bad smell for several days. The buffet breakfast was very good and the staff excellent at replenishing and even taking care of your plates after finishing. The hotel offers a free drink at the bar for guests and the bartender Nick was outstanding. The hotel is in a fairly safe area of Stockton. The pool is nice and they have coin laundry. The rooms look a bit worn and the 4 star I give is mainly for the staff. Always trying to help and very pro active at getting a carpet cleaner for the 1st floor hall after I heard the smell was due to a guest getting sick down there. This is probably one of the best all around hotel staffs I have seen.
We really enjoyed the Best Western Heritage, Stockton and the free glass of wine at the bar was a surprise welcome bonus. The breakfast room was very nice and welcoming with actual Bananas for the cereal. The location was quite close to the Miracle Mile on Pacific Ave. which we had mainly come to see plus the Haggins Museum which was just outstanding. This is a must see even if it takes a separate trip. Who would believe Stockton has so much to see. We were very pleased.
If you're on a budget but you want a nice property with great amenities, the Best Western Plus Stockton should be your choice. Very comfortable beds, nice room, and reliable wifi internet. The buildings have workout rooms and the property has a nice pool. Add to that a great breakfast spread and you've got all you need for a relaxing stay.
The staff was friendly, the food was good at breakfast time, the pool and hot tub were refreshing, and the beds were very comfortable. It is close to shopping and services, which was really convenient. I would stay here again!
Well I had a huge issue with the key to my door. It was working every so often. Then Saturday morning it was even worse. I had housekeeper come and try and open it. It would open about every 5 times you put the key in. Then I had a manger come up same issue. They told me that they would have maintenance come up and fix it. We left for the day and came back around 3pm and it still was not fixed. At this point i am extremely frustrated. about an hour later maintenance arrived and could not fix it. He suggested I change rooms. So management approved the room change. I thought I would a least had a staff member help me move my belongings or offer to help me move to the other room but no. I did not get any help. At this point my kids want to go swimming. We walk down to the pool and I look in the spa and it is a brownish/yellowish color to it. I went to the desk to see if they could come check it out. We waited by the pool again nobody came to check it. I feel like I did not get what I paid for. I could not get in my room for half the day Saturday and I could not use the spa, it was gross. I will not suggest this hotel to anyone. Even if we stay in that area..
My family and I stayed at this hotel when we visited my Grandma. I really liked the southwest style design look they were going for. I liked the plants and the exterior grounds. Appeared well kept. However the interior hallways are outdated and ugly. The rooms were average but the bed was comfortable. They also had a really good complimentary breakfast in the mornings, which we enjoyed. The security they had in place was good. You need to have your room card with you to access everything. I think the hotel just needs to work on some updating to the inside, especially in the hallways; maybe spruce it up with new paint, carpet, light fixtures, pictures, etc. Overall it was a pleasant stay!
I was staying at the LaQuinta near the I-5. Didn't feel safe. Their amenities were limited: basic cold breakfast, pool with no spa, and no exercise facility. Too many people just wondering around. Book the Best Western Heritage thru a an on-line serivce and received a BETTER RATE WITH: pool and spa, exercise facility, a happy hour with snacks, beer and wine included (and great discounts on other beverages). Bartender Nick greeted me, and everyone else with pleasantries. The comp breakfast was full and hot. Well presented dining area. Staff was most friendly and they smiled! Amazing! Check-in staff, Thomas and Blanca, were friendly and helpful and actually read and fulfilled my "special" needs requests. I was pleasantly surprised by the complete package this hotel provided. The extra 5 minutes drive to the east of the I-5 was well worth it. If you HAVE to stay in Stockton, this is a good place to rest and relax at the end of a busy business day.
last minute reservation, so we were fortunate to have a room. its not the best but its okay, not sure if i would stay at that location again. Best western is a hit and miss, thr are some that are good not great but okay that I would consider going back too. close to the Stockton Mall, shares parking lot with a low end grocery store. Breakfast was free, and they do offer a first drink complementary during the evening. room is average plenty of lighting, small fridge, good AC, bathroom was clean, no smell in the room. did not have any problems with the bed to me it was comfortable.
I stayed a week and here are the facts: If I came back it would be because of the location and how convenient it was for me while visiting family. I also enjoyed complimentary hot breakfast every morning of my stay. The complimentary WiFi was terrible. Definitely needs to be improved. I didn't like the evening front desk clerk. She is very lazy and knows very little about the hotel, it's amenities, and the general area. We liked having access to a pool and a hot tub. But nobody cleaned either my entire stay. The hot tub was absolutely filthy. When Asked If It would be cleaned, the front desk clerk said she didn't think so. There are never towels available at the pool. And several times room service would forget to complete requests to our room. I've seen better for what we paid. I'm not impressed at all.
It's a bit off I5 and there are no nearby restaurants, but this hotel is very clean and quiet. Breakfast begins early, which is nice. Beds are extremely comfortable, and the windows are able to be opened, so we could have a nice breeze.
We stayed in two adjoining rooms for 4 nights. First off, we added the 2nd room only a couple days in advance and the front desk was AMAZING about accommodating us and making sure the rooms were adjoining. When we arrived, we had been on the road for 14 hours. The front desk was amazing. They made small talk and when they learned we had been on the road for awhile, they hurried the process along. Even told me that if I hurried, I'd still get the complimentary drink at their bar (wine or beer) (we arrived 5 minutes before the bar closed). Rooms were clean and fresh. The key cards are a little tricky, but once you know how to work them, they work easily. Everyone got on the Wi-Fi easily and it worked well. Breakfast was always terrific and their breakfast room was great! Pool was clean and cool. I can see what people are saying about the parking, but we never had an issue finding parking. A grocery store is right across the parking lot, and the grocery store doesn't seem to like to collect their carts. That's not the hotel's fault though. Terrific experience, we'd definitely book again and all of the hotel staff were friendly all of the time.
We stayed for 3 nights for my son's orientation. Our room was not cleaned one day so we came back to a messy room and no clean towels. Our room keys demagnatized so getting into our room at night was a hassle. Parking is not very good, especially if you come back later at night. Front desk staff during the night was not very professional. During checkout, the lady at the front desk did refund one nights stay for the messy room and gave us more rewards points. It was appreciated...but a little too late. Will not stay again.
The room was clean, bed was comfy, and the complementary breakfast was great. Sarah, in the breakfast area went above and beyond making my family's day! The hotel was close to shopping and the local Costco. We like having the fridge in room to store our snacks. Was perfect for a night's stay.
Nice rooms, comfy bed. Microwave and refer in room. Ice machine close by on same floor. Fantastic breakfast. The scrambled eggs with ham, onion & green pepper was delish. Real sausage links, Yum. Just be careful with the parking. Where the hotel lot ends and the grocery store begins is not real clear, Overall, 5 stars.
Hotel is located in a not so great area of town. We had a couple cars broken into during our stay. The staff was fabulous and they got us everything we needed. They just need 24 hour security to secure their parking lot.
We had an enjoyable stay at the Heritage Inn. The room was pretty standard, but it was clean and the beds comfortable. The room did need to have the carpets and drapes replaced; there were significant holes in both. Another bummer was we were unable to get the wifi to work. Not a huge deal for us, but if this were a business stay, it would have been a deal breaker. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay, with plenty of tips for weary travelers. The included breakfast was of good quality, with plenty of hot and cold choices to suit our tastes. I'd stay here again.
This is not the best location but it's off the freeway and was a few blocks from where we had to be early the next morning. The check in clerk was so polite, kind and really made this a good experience. The breakfast lady was also so helpful filling our ice chest and just being polite. Courtesy staff is hard to fine.
Stockton is going through many issues and this hotel is in one of the safer places to stay and offers good amenities for your stay. A $5-10 Uber or Lyft ride gets you to all the locations worth visiting in Stockton. It is only a 20 minute drive to Lodi and the SIP shuttle which takes you through a great wine country experience.
Very clean and quiet room, included complimentary drink in the lounge and a full buffet style breakfast. A large complex with a pool. The gym equipment was not working properly; however all the staff were very helpful and very friendly.
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The front desk was exceptionally pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. The shining point was the breakfast the next morning - waffles, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, juices... it was good and filling and definitely added value to the stay. While we generally stay at the Marriott or Hilton family of hotels, we would give this BW another go.
My review is mixed---the room was large, clean and comfortable but it took us 45 minutes to find the office since there were several buildings and very confusing parking areas, get registered, find a place to park our car near our room, returning a key which didn't work, etc. The young lady at the desk, Samatha, and Security Guard James were very helpful and went out of their way to get us settled. James even told us he would keep an eye on our car duing the night since parking looked a bit dubious. Breakfast was good and we slept well. Nice pool in the center of the complex.
The staff were helpful and friendly; the breakfast was better than average; the hotel is nicely laid out, with patios and walkways. Also, pet friendly. The hotel is in an area with a lot of eating choices.
Excellent location for everything. Costco fuel station, Kaiser Permanente medical center and University of the Pacific etc in three miles. In 10 minutes or less you can arrive these places. Free breakfast 6:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. is very good.
on our return from Oregon, stopped in Stockton for the night, half way point. Very pleased with the facility, clean, accessible, quiet, good bar and great breakfast. Staff was excellent, the room was set up well and clean. Southbound to SoCal, it will be our stop in the future.
My visits to Stockton are all related to events at Univ. of the Pacific, so this is convenient, just a mile or two away. But both times I've stayed here, I've been pleasantly surprised by the superbly kind and helpful staff (this time accommodating an elderly relative that we'd forgotten to plan ahead for). Other pluses are that the rooms are spacious and generally quiet (warning: end of the hall rooms get extra closing of the doors going to the downstairs) and the breakfast was great. Anyone who has stayed at BW knows the basics, but this one has GREAT coffee and perfectly ripe, delicious fresh fruit. WIFI was fast, hot water came on quickly, everything you'd expect - with a smile! Stockton has some great restaurants, so worth a day extra to enjoy the college campuses, walk in their parks and relax with good food and locally produced wine or beer.
The Best Western Plus Heritage Inn was a good place to stay for a couple of days when I was in Stockton. I didn't spend much time in the room except to sleep, so it was perfect for my needs. Only drawback was that the WiFi connection didn't work. That kept me offline for a couple of days, but maybe that's a good thing. But if you need Internet to connect, you need to check it first. Excellent and very comfortable breakfast buffet. Almost like being in a restaurant. I don't know if this is a "non-smoking hotel," but I had a non-smoking room.
There's nothing beautiful about Stockton. I went there because my nephew graduated from the University of the Pacific and while my first inclination was to stay at the Hilton that's in town, my sister was staying here and thus, I followed her. The rooms were clean, the people were friendly but the breakfast was FANTASTIC!! There were waffles, sausage, bagels, eggs, cereal, coffee, 4 or 5 different juices...etc. Totally made my days start on a wonderful note.
We had to book last minute in Stockton for an event. I was a bit iffy on the different hotels, then came across the Best Western. They are consistent, clean, great breakfast, very friendly at the front. When asked for a restaurant suggestion, recommended a very good restaurant! Great job
This property offers quiet, clean and comfortable rooms. The staff are very accommodating and seem pleased to welcome you to their hotel. The full breakfast will satisfy anyone's taste from a light meal to a full meal. Restaurants and shopping is not far away. It would be great for either a short or long stay. But do negotiate your rate as their are discounts available
The Best Western Plus in Stockton has always offered me an excellent place to stay. Mostly it is the friendliness of staff that makes the difference. I like the central location and the reasonableness of the room prices.
the unicorn lands on the head of pen only to be confronted by angry angles whose dance has been disrupted. Only the magic swan can flap her wings hard enough to force the unicorn to travel on. The angles return to their eternal dance.
This motel had everything we are looking for: comfort, cleanliness, safety, professional, helpful staff. Many pluses included the complimentary wine or beer offered in the afternoon in a beautiful bar area and the excellent full hot breakfast in a lovely dining room in the morning. Personnel were so welcoming and warm. We will return for a longer stay and explore Stockton more next time. Located near UOP.
Clean and beautiful Hotel. Best Breakfast of any hotel I have been to. Great Service and food. All eggs were freshly made as were potatoes and sausage. Rooms were beautiful and beds up to date comfy. Location a bit off the beaten path but not too bad. I would definitely stay again
The area near this hotel is a bit sketchy but it is also located near many great restaurants and two large malls. I would rate it as very middle of the road. Good bed but terrible pillows. Average breakfast. Room was clean but hallways carpets were filthy.
Great breakfast, its a full meal deal. Biscuits, eggs and gravy with lots of other great food.Complementary drinks at happy hour. Staff is great and pool with plenty of patio space. Close to freeway. Large room with a refrigerator.
We stayed in Stockton CA because we were going to a concert there. It's not the safest city but elected to stay close to the venue. After reading comments about this hotel, I decided to take a chance. My husband and I felt very safe and the hotel was nice and comfortable. The only thing that distracted from the stay was the carpet looked like it needed to be replaced. The room itself was nicely decorated. It's not in the best area, but that would be hard to find in Stockton. We would stay there again. The breakfast was good, eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, biscuits and gravy as well as yogurt, cereal, toast etc. Good selection. Nice staff.
Great hotel! The property and staff were excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. And the breakfast included with our stay offered a HUGE array of items. When travelling through the central valley of California, put the Best Western Heritage Inn in Stockton on your itinerary, because I know I'll be back!
This best Western is located in stockton ca we have never stayed there before , I know now that this is going to become one of our regular stops on our way to Lake Havasu. My only regret is we never stopped there before . The complementary breakfast is no doubt the best I have ever had at any Best Western or maybe anywhere.Well be back
This amazing front desk staff, Breakfast Staff, HSK staff and anyone else I forgot to mention make this place a great place to be. I will continue to be a loyal guest here. The breakfast is to die for. The rooms are always Clean and updated. The pool and hot tub are a bonus and very conveniently located! Thank you for always taking care of my family and I.
the staff was very helpful for all my needs and treated me like family. anything I needed they took care of. the staff was excellent and friendly beyond expectations thank you. the complimentary breakfast was healthy and not greasy and I loved the fresh fruit and juice. alma, Thomas dez and Katherine were helpful any time I needed anything
Great service, great staff at this best western. Clean, freshly painted. Great houskeeping staff too. Best place to stay in all of stockton, BY FAR! Great job everyone, good food in very comfortable restaurant as well
A Complimentary class of wine each night was a nice bonus. Great location, clean and friendly staff. The buffet was nice and the rooms were quiet. Room having a microwave and refrigerator was great too.
Great Hotel and great prices. Went on business however has the kids with us. Rooms are good size, comfy beds, quality staff, and free breakfast. Lots of free parking. Pool was well maintained. If we plan another trip to this area, we will return to this hotel.
This hotel has not disappointed me. I have stayed here about 5 times this last year and EVERY time i am very pleased with the caring staff and excellent service!! Great breakfast also!! So much to choose from!
The room was ok, maid service did good job cleaning. Other aspects of the hotel were questionable. Staff was friendly. Parking was an issue with a Food 4 Less sharing parking lot. The staff was helpful when I needed something. Breakfast was good, not just a continental type breakfast. I enjoy my stays at Best Westerns when I travel.
We stayed in C building, 2nd floor. Other than the dirty carpet which made our feet black, everything else was okay. Breakfast was more than we expected. Staff friendly & courteous. Some room maids did not speak/understand English which posed a problem. Room size was sufficient and amenities were all working properly. Lots of parking.
We stayed here as a priceline purchase and couldn't have been happier. The front desk staff was outstanding, including a great recommendation for a delicious Mexican dinner. The room was clean. Neighborhood seemed safe. Breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day.
very friendly employees so willing to help good beds, serves full breakfast, convenient rooms for pet owners with sliding glass doors to easily exit through taking the pets out. good location close to stores and restaurants and the 5 freeway or the 99 freeway.
For a few dollars more, this hotel stands out as twice the experience of your average franchise brand. The rooms are spotless and well appointed, the breakfast is plentiful and varied and the staff go out of their way to provide an efficient and friendly atmosphere.
I stayed at this hotel on a Priceline deal, and the experience was a good bargain for the discounted price I paid. The layout of the hotel is odd, multiple buildings with lots of fences and gates you need your room key to pass, making it feel a little like a minimum-security prison, but the room was pleasant. Had to report some unsupervised kids playing in the fitness room, which was quite decently equipped but whose door did not reliably latch/lock. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, nice mini-fridge. Decent if overly salted breakfast buffet. Didn't use the pool or hot tub, but they looked clean and well maintained.
Just a nice place. Not really a long term work place to stay. Would like to have a better rate since I am staying 4 or 5 months 8 day spans. The hot tub was not satisfactory, other then that it was nice. Nothing outstanding or to negative.
I am always extremely satisfied by the service and rooms. I love to stay at this Best Western! They have an amazing staff, beautiful property conveniently located next to shopping and and a car rental facility. The breakfast is delicious and more than most Hotels. I would recommend this hotel every time!
Our King Suite was HUGE, recently renovated, and well worth the price. Double Jacuzzi tub!! The overall hotel, however, is very dated. Great breakfast, very friendly staff. Walk to great local restaurants.
Have been here a few times before, but this was a last minute "not driving back to SF in this weather at this time of night" decision. The place was filled with cheerleaders and others like me, but I was lucky to get a room. The solo guy at the front desk had his hands full, answering calls for service from rooms, answering phone inquiries and dealing with the front desk people like myself and guests . . . he had patience, and was still able to handle everyone with ease. The room was clean and spacious, with a nice third floor balcony over the pool area. Despite the occupancy, the hall was quiet and even in the morning I was able to sleep in. Always a great visit, although I'm sorry I missed the breakfast! Next time . . . .
My husband and I had to make an emergency trip from Arizona to Oregon. We've been collecting Best Western Reward Points and so used our points to stay here. When we arrived, late into the evening, we were made to feel very welcome. The front desk clerk was extremely friendly. And since we were using points to stay here, she made us feel like royalty and gave us a room in the inside, facing the pool. We had collected points from another hotel chain and had once used them for a free stay. With this other chain, we got a rundown, rather dilapidated room. It was refreshing to feel so welcomed and get such a nice room, even though we were using points to stay there. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable also. This hotel seemed to specialize in the little "extras" -- for example, with the shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, they also included shower gel. The breakfast was wonderful and had all those little extras also -- granola and other mix-in's for yogurt, mix-in's for oatmeal, a variety of toppings for the waffles, two different kinds of eggs. The other plus with the breakfast is that it is an area that looks like it used to be a restaurant so there are booths, and a large amount of tables instead of the normal cramped breakfast rooms in some hotels. Breakfast is served from 6 to 10. The only downside is that if you're traveling on either I-5 or 99, it's about halfway between the two. So if you want an easy on and easy off, probably need to find some place else. The hotel also offers 24 hour security in the parking lot.
Let me start off with the positive. The breakfast was wonderful!! This is what saved our stay from being a total bust. This property has card readers leading into the buildings and rooms that don't work properly, so if you stay, be very patient and if it rains, or storms like it did when we were there, you may rethink your stay. Our room phone did not work properly, so make sure you take your cell phone. In addition if you plan to use their WIFI try to arrive early and log in right away. This location only lets a certain amount of people on their WIFI connection at one time, even though the website advertises free WIFI. Next make sure to keep the bathroom door closed when you're taking a hot shower, cause the smoke detector will go off from the steam. If you book late like we had to and the only choice is a smoking room, the plus is the rooms don't stink! The negative is the hallways do! And bad! This is an ok last resort type of hotel, but for the money and previous Best Westerns I've stayed at, I expected more.
Perfect for a quick overnight stay. Was not looking for glamour just a clean & safe place to stay for one night. Pool looks nice but did not get to use because of the weather but will stay here again next cheer season. Breakfast was quick & easy to get in morning as well.
Your people make the difference. I could stay any ware in town, I can usually get my rooms a bit cheaper from your competitors, but I do admire the good serves and choose to stay with you a lot of the time when I'm in town.
DO NOT STAY HERE! The whole place needs to be renovated in a big way; the outside of the building is scary looking, the surrounding neighborhood is sketchy, the door to the outside of the building didn't latch correctly and the carpet was nasty. I arrived late at night. While I was standing in the lobby checking in, the security guard had to ask a homeless person to leave the front area. Thankfully, the security guard was super nice and walked me to my room. I paid $150 for the room .. they should have paid me to stay there. Not only did I not feel safe, the place was gross. Highly NOT recommended!
I love this place when I go to visit my children going to UOP. Ask for Catherine at the front desk and you will get a wonderful and friendly staff to help to throughout your stay. This is a very close and safe location while visiting Stockton. The parking is often numerous during the day but very pack in the evening so plan to be back soon from your trip. This location is next to the mall with plenty of shops and places to eat.
Wonderful breakfast, exceeding expectations. Room was very comfortable. Close to malls and restaurants. If walking, though, recommend staying in well lit areas as a lot of homeless people in the area. Ask for room away from exit doors
We stayed here 1 night prior to my grandsons dental surgery.Entire property very clean comfortable room and excellent breakfast. The entire staff is very friendly and professional we felt very welcome.Would definitely stay again. Also very safe and secure
I brought a group of students to this hotel for a trip to stockton. During the stay we felt very safe and the rooms were nice. The free morning breakfast was very good. We will be returning to this hotel on our next trip.
The hotel itself is very clean and the staff are friendly. The room is comfortable and will do for a travelers needs. The hotel isn't to far from some restaurants and shops. The area around the hotel is a little run down, but not terrible. I was impressed by how big the lobby and bar area at the front of the hotel is. If you stay here, try to get a room that is located facing the pool.
1st time staying at a Best Western Plus and I am impressed. Traveling with 2 children under the age of 4 we arrived a little after 8 pm, our room was located right close to parking. Service very friendly and breakfast was wonderful, not just your boring continental breakfast! Thank you Sara for our assistance with everything! We will be back! :)
The staff at the hotel is amazing. They all get to know their gsts and can meet and exceed expectations. Efficient and accurate as well. We stayed here because our house was being painted on the inside. This was a perfect getaway! Anytime I have family in town, we only use this Best Western. If your not sure about booking this hotel, I am here to tell you that Its one of the best in Stockton! The breakfast alone is worth the stay!
All types of weird looking people roaming. Felt bit uncomfortable. I was regretting why did I booked to 4 nights. I can not even think of venturing out in the day time with all sorts of things happening in the area. But to my surprise blessing in disguise, my 4 night prepaid non-refundable priceline reservation was cancelled after 2 nights buy hotel staff accidentally. That was the only positive though.
I have to go to Stockton several times a year on business. I stay here because it is clean and relatively quiet. I get a good nights sleep. The breakfast is pretty decent for hotel food. I will be going back in about 2 weeks. I also feel it is a safe area.
This hotel has a lot of potential. Common areas are huge but with the exception of breakfast time they go unused. Stayed 3 nights and had constant issues with wifi. I think they limit the number of connections and if you dont log early your screwed. Rooms are newish with nice tv's. Breakfast was above average for most best westerns. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The stay was quick but pleasant. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was convenient and good. The value for our money was really good. The only downside is the location.
You get what you pay for as they say. If your looking for quality, professionalism, courtesy, comfort and an excellent restaurant style breakfast..this is the place to stay. Satisfaction is guaranteed here at this spot!!
This Best Western is a wonderful place to spend a week in Stockton. We mostly slept, had breakfast, and used the Exercise room. We were visiting with family and spent our time at that. Most things in the hotel were clean, reasonably up to date, and pleasant. The hallways weren't quite up to standard, but not bad. Just not a place you would want to spend time.
This was a very nice hotel for the price range. The reception and service was great while the check out process was made even easier. The breakfast spread was amazing with fruit, waffles, sausage, eggs and more. All fresh and tasty.
We stayed in the whirlpool suite and I have to say that it was AMAZING! I truely recommend this room for any visit! The room has a livingroom with a pullout couch. A bedroom, 2 T.V.'s and the whirlpool tub will please anyone from a 3 yr old to a Sr. This was my best stay yet!
The room was good, clean and spacious. It was hard to get to from the car with luggage and the elevator door stuck a few times. There are more that a dozen good restarurant within 2 miles of the hotel in the same direction. There is some shopping as well within 2 miles though nothing touristy, just chain stores. The front desk clerk when we checked in was extremely excellent and helpful. He chatted in a friendly way and asked questions about where we were from and didn't make arrogant assumptions about Canada like many others did during our 2 week trip. He also called 3 restaurants for me to see if they were open. We were there during the American Thanksgiving. None were open, but he did try. The next morning, we expereince the best breakfast available during our stay. There was cereal, oatmeal, toast, waffles, fruit, sausage, ham, egg, yogurt wuth toppings and tons of choices to drink. There is also tons of seating so you aren't crowded at the counter or at the table. If we had known, we would have stayed here a second night. We chose to stay the next night in downtown San Francisco. But because of the great service and breakfast it would have been worth the 45 drive back to Stockton. Will definitely revist this hotel if we go to California again.
The hotel front desk staff was friendly (Jesus). The entrance and exterior were very nice but the property could use some updating. The rugs looked very old and the furniture was stained. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was good and the parking lot felt safe. A 24 hour grocery store is in the same parking and a Mexican restaurant (on the side with the pool). The mall is walking distance.
Room was very clean. Very comfortable bed with pillows. Very helpful and friendliness at the front desk the check in and check out employees. The free buffet breakfast was really good. This wasn't my first stay and would stay again. Its also really close to restaurants.
Very nice place, nice lobby, very nice staff where ever we went or whatever we needed. They were all more than helpful. THe room was very comfortable, also the bed. Good internet service and TV reception. The hot breakfast was nice. They had a nice little bar with reasonable prices and a very helpful gentleman there who helped us with a place to go for dinner. The hotel location is not really in the best part of town, but it has fences and security men, and staff were very open to us about that and where to go for shopping (it is very near a great shopping mall!) and to eat.It really didn't matter where it was located!
Stayed at this property overnight as it's conveniently close to I5. Friendly staff extremely clean and comfortable rooms and a wide variety of restaurants nearby. Great breakfast too! Will definitely stay in the future while traveling on I5
Location was perfect for our stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety to choose from. It's dog friendly, too! Room was very clean and quiet. We will definitely stay here again when in Stockton.
loved it needed to stay overnight for a dental procedure my children and dog were all welcomed and comfortable. we would stay again if needed. we were so hungry in the morning and didnt need to go out to eat the food was good and we were able to heat it up in the microwave provided in the room, my son now wants a fridge and mirowave in his room, lol
This is an older property with all the pros & cons of such. The grounds are sprawling and pleasant, filled with lovely vegetation. The outdoor pool & spa look inviting. The rooms are large, impeccably clean, nicely appointed & quiet. The bed may be a little hard for some but I still got a good nights sleep. The bathroom was roomy, shower hot and forceful. The staff were pleasant & helpful. Hotel is just a few blocks from the major shopping area and restaurants (but not walk-able.) Nearby grocery store is walk-able. Breakfast was typical buffet with plentiful of fresh bagels, waffles, etc. Your GPS may send you in circles to get to entrance but there is actually a cross street with a traffic light that allows entrance to the hotel facility from either direction.
This is a great property for overnight stays in or near Stockton, CA. It is conveniently located and has good access to major roadways. This year I have made 3 trips to Stockton staying an average of 3 days each time. The property is well managed as has been demonstrated in a different manner on every trip. I really was impressed with their security. One call to the front desk got the support needed ASAP and after, good communication letting us know the issue was resolved.
We were unfamiliar with area, and chose this hotel based on reviews. Hotel was clean, comfortable, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, and quiet. Free breakfast was very good. I expected coffee and pastries, and instead received a buffet of full breakfast items. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.
I was very pleased with front desk agent Angelina she was very welcoming and met all my needs and she had answers for all my questions which is key I also enjoyed the breakfast it was nice hot and delicious the Chef Rosie made sure she made her rounds in the dining area asking how guest breakfast was along with her server Sara she was very kind and pleasant the wifi was so great and the room smelt like someone smoked in the room and it was non smoking
horrible staff , so rude its unbelievable, never have i been so disrespected. i will never stay hereagain. worse hotel i stayed at in my life. warning to all if you happen to stay here. its a nightmare
Check in was very easy, already had made reservations in advance, stayed for two nights for grandsons wedding, the hotel is very secure needing room key for entry to every exterior entrance to hotel, assume may be a city thing, the hallways are a little dreary, need carpet and new paint scheme, my opinion, rooms were very clean and nice, bed was comfortable, breakfast was very good, I will stay again on next visit
Breakfast was great. Check-in staff very helpful. Room carpet needed deep cleaning. Heavy febreeze type chemical smell in building hallway that never left entire time I was there. I was expecting more for a 3 star hotel.
I took my daughter to visit the University of the Pacific. The hotel is close to the University, and offers a significant discount for people visiting the school. The hotel is a great value for the money. The rooms are clean and actually very nice. We asked for a quiet room and the hotel honored the request. The breakfast is a nice add on. The neighborhood is a bit dicey, but the hotel has excellent security.
I used priceline and did name your own price and got the room for $79 +taxes. It says its a 3 star hotel I would have to say the rooms and hotel more of a 2-2 1/2 star. Could use a renovation in near future. Staff was great breakfast was better than any other normal hotels hot breakfast. Rooms were cleaned well but carpets need a little TLC. Loud music coming from maybe the banquet room past 12pm was a bother. Beds were not too bad but the pillows were not so nice. If I had to stay in Stockton again I would stay again only if prices were good otherwise I would consider the Hilton.
Not bad for the price we paid. I'm really picky on where we stay could have been more updated and beds were not too bad but pillows weren't great. Everything was clean except carpets need some care. Only stayed 1 night. They did have a big party going on and loud music was being played from their bar/reception area that stayed on past 11:30pm ended up having to turn on the fan in the room to cover up some of it.
delighted to be treated by staff in costume for Halloween. Spirited indeed. Staff approachable and responded to concern such as repairing a drain in the room above me after 9:00 pm. Easy place for me to stay as I visited people and places in the area.
Arrived after a long drive and was immediately greeted by a fast-talking (in the good sense) reception clerk who clearly explained the room location, breakfast, lounge (and free glass of wine), fitness room and all the necessary details. In and out of the reception area in under 3 minutes! After going to the clean and nicely appointed room, I went back to the reception desk to ask about a place to eat. Whalla... out comes the list with addresses, hours of operation, food type, and when requested a couple of recommendations. A tour group of 50 had arrived and was consuming breakfast by the time that I got to the buffet the next morning. Hotel staff kept all of the items full and were cleaning up the counter of spills that are always caused by having a self-serve buffet. Staff was smiling and welcoming to all; asking if anything else was needed. Friendly place!
Old property, well maintained, incredibly kind kitchen staff and front desk, housekeeping either stupid or defiant. I asked everyday to leave my bed alone and everyday they make it in that sadistic tucked in fashion. I am handicapped and I have asked six times and counting to leave my bed alone. However, the kitchen staff has prepared my plate for me every morning for breakfast because I am handicapped, incredibly kind.
Seriously, even the night-time security guard seemed attuned to helping guests have a pleasant experience. The rooms were nice and clean, we all slept well and the breakfast was perfect with plenty of hearty and/or healthy options.
I couldn't close the drapes, so had to sit in the dark to watch TV. Also, the fan blew too cold, so it was either full blast or off. The room was very clean and I had a very good night's sleep as the bed was very comfortable.
this hotel is centrally located very close to the 5 freewway and not far from the 99 CA Hiway and the 4 CA close to Yosemite and Sacramento. there's a lot of high way widening already an continued expansion.
On our way south we've stayed here. The hotel is located at a depressing area of Stockton next to a supermarket (which has some nice stuff). The hotel bar closes at 9.00pm, the breakfast is horrid, but typical American. However, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We've paid $90,- which seemed about right. A hotel which you can take for a night of sleep on the way thru, but definitely not more than that.
My adult son and I stayed after completing a long cross country trip. We were looking for accommodations that would allow us to get some well-needed rest. Based on the ratings in Trip Advisor, we chose the Best Western Plus and we were not disappointed. Check-in and check-out were a snap. Our room was clean and comfortable and extremely quiet. I was a bit concerned that the women's water polo teams staying in our building would be noisy, but we never heard them. The fixtures worked well, the beds were comfortable and the shower had plenty of water pressure. The breakfast buffet was the best of our entire trip and filled us up for our day's activities. I would stay here again.
They advertise free parking, but the spaces are all full due to the partying that goes on in the rooms. It is noisy because of the partying that goes on. The room keys don't work because the front desk help has not been properly trained. One side of the hotel seems to be much nicer than the other side. There are decent restaurants close by.
Found the accomodations very clean and comfortable. The staff was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We traveled with our dog which was very easy. I was leary of taking him but he fit right in and was well recieved
We stayed here on October 10th and checked out the 11th. For the price we paid it was very nice. Very clean and all the employees were courteous and helpful. The elevator in building B however had some issues so we choose to use the stairs. The only hiccup we had was having to wait for more than an hour for an extra blanket. Not sure if I'll travel back to Stockton in the future but if I do I may stay here again. Be warned that there are a lot of homeless around the parking lot.
I had a room with a balcony, really nice, clean with all the amenities. Comfortable bed. The breakfast was great. I went for a run in the neighborhood and found a great park. But the real reason I am writing a review is because the staff was excellent. Great attitude and smile and very helpful!
This hotel is definitely showing wear. I was very disappointed that the coverlet on my bed was filthy. The halls and building lobbies aren't very clean. The quality of the hot breakfast has deteriorated. The hotel was very full, and it was hard to even find a table in the breakfast lounge.
With a 5 month project in Stockton, I needed a comfortable place to spend my work weeks. The Stockton BW was just the place, it was comfy, friendly, and clean. The breakfast was good and I enjoyed the large pool are. the staff was friendly and I would definitely stay there again.
We enjoyed thoroughly our stay at the Best Western Plus in Stockton. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location was ideal next to shopping and San Joaquin Delta where we hosting and educational program.
For a large Best Western with a "Center" , the Heritage is amazingly quiet; it is off the highway. The staff is attentive and the location very secure. The breakfast is served for extended hours and and the selection is varied and delicious. Reservations, registration, and check out are quick.
Staff is great, but found four live cockroaches running around. I would not want to visit or stay at this hotel again. For any future potential guests, I recommend you pay a bit more to stay at the Holiday Express or something. I have never seen any hotel like this before.
