Description

Welcome to the NOFO Hotel! Find yourself in a beautiful and historic building from 1780 on Sodermalm in the central parts of Stockholm. The hotel is within walking distance of Old Town, Slussen and the City. Stay in a vibrant neighborhood where people of Stockholm living. Sodermalm is one of the oldest districts in Stockholm and was a long time working quarters with much feeling. For many years known as the area where we are located 'Sofo', Stockholm's answer to London and New York's trendy SoHo. Amidst this vibrant neighborhood, you will find our oasis. Enter through a portal, out on a cobbled yard and you'll find us. We are housed in a listed building from the 1700s that originally built as a brewery. As the house was built at one time, with a roof and walls according to original drawings, has been completely control the hotel room disposition and layout. This allows the hotel to get a personal and original touch that along with the eclectic decor boutique reinforces the feeling. Upon arrival at the typical courtyard, which can be likened to an oasis in the middle of Sodermalm, enriched it with an inner calm. You feel far from the trendy areas, both north and south of Folkungagatan, where hipsters, taverns and street life plays out like a true 'reality soap'. We look forward to seeing you! Enjoy your stay.

"Coolest Hotel and Great Wine Bar"
Melissa R, 14 Mars 2024

Gorgeous hotel and super fascinating decor. It's one of the few places I've stayed where you want to walk through every floor and around every corner because there's so much intrigue. Our industrial room was beautiful and very clean. All the staff was wonderful. Great breakfast. And we loved the wine bar. They have an incredible selection of wines, a lovely cozy space with a cool vibe, and some very knowledgable sommeliers; Emil was fantastic!

"The cosiest hotel in Stockholm!"
Question M, 06 Mars 2024

Super stylish hotel. The rooms are clean and specious and have very different themes, including La Belle Epoque, Soho, Queens, Bronx... The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything about NOFO hotel is top notch. Highly recommended!

"Great staff, unique experience"
Bjarne C, 23 Janvier 2024

Wow. This is a place you need to visit. To me, travelling the world the past 10 years due to work, this is one of my favourite places, best places, and most missed places. The staff is service minded, the rooms are quite unique, the hotels bar and restaurant is pushing the limits towards what you've expect from a hotel. Allow me to put Tassos in front here. The service you are going to meet, the smile, and the willingness to make you feel both special and just plan good, is something unique. I haven't met a person in the hospitality business like him before. I cannot recommend NOFO enough!

"A great place!"
cyberbob2000, 01 Décembre 2023

W O W !! We stayed four days at this marvellous hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. Set in an old hospital it has many rooms on four different floors, each with a different theme. Also there are many sitting places on the floors to have a drink or read. The staff is amazing, kind and helpful. Absolutely great. The breakfast is wonderful with a large variety of dishes. It can be a bit cramped when eating at a busy time, but you're in no hurry anyway when enjoying this buffet. There are many different dining rooms to chose from. Our room was in the 3rd floor, nicely decorated with a large bathroom and a comfortable bed. There was no room for the suitcase, which was a shame. Also the windows were tiny and really low, you had to kneel to see what the weather was doing. But still, we will be back. It was amazing.

"Amazing hotel and staff"
G S, 29 Novembre 2023

We've arrived to the hotel 3am and the first thing we got was a male member of the staff asking to pay all in advance, we were so tired that asksd for the room, pay whatever and sort things later. We went to our room and they had given us Cinderella's room the one on the very top, extremely small, no wardrobe and windows at the floor level, however the size of the bathroom was ok. Went to ask for a change where they showed be the IKEA style, went for my daughter to check and by that time obviously she was exhausted and didn't want to move so we stayed in the tiny but lovely room for the night. The next day we brought our bags oit and left them at the concierge as we were heading out for the day. In the evening when we arrived we collected the keys and went to our new room to which our amazing surprise it was the suite! It was an amazing room at the level floor but no noise could be heard, so the upgrade was fantastic and really appreciate since this trip was my daughter's birthday present from us to her. The breakfast was always amazing as well. All the girls at front desk were more than wonderful especially Gabrielle, who was always happy and willing to help and listen to the customers. Location is great as well so it worked perfectly for us. We will indeed go back again even if we don't get as lucky as the first time, hotel is amazing Location is

"Dinner"
U3212XIklaudiam, 22 Novembre 2023

I was today with my cousin for a dinner and the guy named Tasos treated us super well. In my life I have never seen such a treatment and I am a person that tries new places quite every day. He deserves the highest position there ❤️

"Wow!"
Lex T, 15 Novembre 2023

I booked this hotel for my friend's wedding gift when I was staying in the same hotel. I contact the hotel in advance for the parking and extra pet. (Yes, they are a pet friendly hotel)Very good convenience location, restaurants, shopping mall and shops are just on your door steps. Excellent services from the front desk, well choices of breakfast, lining and shampoo, lotion. They even have a dog bed for my friend' pet. You felt the homey as it is with a dip of sparks of everywhere in the hotel that you definitely need to stay at the Nofo when you are in stockholm.

"Amazing hotel in a great location"
AHaski, 30 Septembre 2023

I celebrated my 60th birthday in Stockholm and invited family and friends from the US to join me. (I was born in Sweden). This was the perfect hotel choice. Staff is amazing, breakfast was outstanding as was the tasting dinner. Location is perfect, 5 min walk to the subway, but there are plenty of great restaurants close by. My daughter uses a wheelchair and even thought they don't have official ADA rooms they gave her a room close proximity to the elevator and with a larger bathroom. She had no problems navigating the common areas. I can't wait to stay here next time I return to Stockholm.

"Nice place "
Dylan E, 24 Août 2023

Place is nice and clean and great staff, if you don't like small places upgrade to deluxe soup e not the standard rooms, overall great location and great hotel.I would stay here again as close to bars and restaurants.

"Hard review - as it depends on what you want in a Hotel. But bottom line - not managed to the level of the pricing."
Esploratore, 04 Août 2023

This is a difficult review as I appreciate it will depend on hotel type preference - hence going for three, for me was lower. It is too much design over function - from entering through a courtyard where suitcases with trolly's don't work, to entering the building with loud speaker noises, many steps and lifting points to getting to the elevator, shower in the bathroom that is in an old design bathtub which by definition makes the whole bathroom wet, and thus the whole room has a permanent damp smell. Worst points where (i) breakfast. Complete and utter chaos is the only way to describe it. And all the clearly untrained staff making it worse by running around, running into people. Also no way to sit on multiple mornings at different times - without any exaggeration were forced to sit outside in the rain. (ii) Checkout / luggage storage. In 30 years of travel this is the first hotel at any level I have ever stayed at with no ability to leave hour luggage. They have a room where you can leave stuff, but that is freely accessible to all, including restaurant and bar guests. Have fun explaining that to your insurance.

"A great stay in a wonderful city"
Terence B, 11 Juillet 2023

The NOFO was an excellent choice. The hotel is conveniently located to so many of the sights that we had hope to visit, as well as restaurants and transportation. The room was comfortable and had a unique charm. The quantity and quality of breakfast choices were excellent. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and professional. Our stay in Stockholm was enhanced by this choice of accommodation. We would definitely stay here again.

"NOFO Hotel perfect Stockholm Stay"
Patti P, 02 Juillet 2023

We spent three night at NOFO before our cruise. It was exactly what we were looking for in our first trip to Stockholm. After traveling for 24 hrs, the front desk young women were so helpful and welcoming. We picked a Scandinavian room decor which was perfect. It overlooked the cemetery/church next door. It was very quiet. The beds were perfect , and bathroom spacious. We ate in the restaurant the first night. Great food and a nice glass of Cava wine to start our vacation. The front desk also gave us recommendations for other restaurants in walking distance in the neighborhood. Loved the breakfast buffet variety , yummy breads! The patio was a great place to relax after a day of touring the city with a glass of wine or sparkling water. Monday morning we left and took taxi to cruise port nearby. Once on ship I realized I left my prescription glasses in my room earlier. Guest services on ship called NOFO front desk and yes they did have my glasses. They gave them to taxi driver who delivered them to me at the pier! So thankful to cleaning staff for finding them! Disaster averted. I would definitely stay at NOFO again and highly recommend it for anyone who wants explore the great neighborhood of Sodermaln or even going on a cruise with the pier so close by .

"Areal gem of a hotel with winebar"
607marthab, 02 Juillet 2023

This sleek beautifully designed hotel is a wine lover's paradise! Our room has little touches of luxury—especially the bathroom with it's warmed Turkish towels. The skylight helped keep the room cool, though the lone daylight did shine through—be prepared! The hotel boasts an amazing wine bar with a small but delicious menu. Breakfast was sumptuous. Really a find!!

"Lovely hotel & neighbourhood. "
AmberExplorer, 19 Juin 2023

Wonderful hotel. Great atmosphere & decor. Funky neighbourhood with great cafes & shops. Staff allow you to feel at home & utilise several different lounge & dining spaces. Very clean. The breakfast was delicious & staff will make espresso coffee if requested. Easy walk to Old Town & close metro & buses.

"A great find with style."
Woodson W, 04 Juin 2023

Beautifully decorated, great service and a nice breakfast spread. We were put into a Moulin Rouge suite, and it was fantastically decorated and had all the expected amenities. We faced a cemetery and it was very quiet. Not too far from the Metro.

"One of the best of the best in the Sodermalm city area. For sure!"
Dani_Stockholm, 24 Janvier 2023

Me and my wife had a fantastic 24h staycation at NOFO! Intimate vibe, warm and trendy interior, great comfy room and fabulous winebar. Generous breakfast hit the spot. Everything you can wish for really. We'll be back!

"A luxurious hotel with a personal touch that impresses!"
FridaMichelle, 17 Janvier 2023

My boyfriend and I treated ourselves with a night at NOFO Hotel and we had a marvelous experience! L-O-V-E-D it! Everything from details in the interior to they way they take care of you, are so well executed, and the food...where do I even begin? It was least to say, creative and impressive (it's that kind of food that you are unable to make at home if you aren't a Micheline chef). The breakfast will make you f feel like you're in breakfast heaven. You should definitely check out this hotel if you haven't already!

"Beautiful hotel with some personal touch and great location"
MatkustajaNizza, 10 Janvier 2023

NOFO is a true gem! Relaxed and friendly customer service, nice selection of different room styles. Breakfast is so good: many vegan options, good coffee and everything fresh in a beautiful surroundings. The wine bar is also great, great drinks and also food. My room was quiet, pretty and clean. I would like to visit again! Ps metro station is very close, good connection to the city.

"Best boutique hotel"
Discover607005, 09 Janvier 2023

Best boutique hotel in Stockholm. Stayed here several times and will come back many more. All the rooms looks diffrent and are cozy. And their breakfast is the best! We have been here several times just for the breakfast.

"NoFo Hotel"
Bosse G, 01 Janvier 2023

After 20 years travelling all over Europe, i do not hesitate to say that NoFo is on my top 5 list of favourite stays. Even if we did have the biggest Suite, I compare NoFo with Hotels that are a lot more expensive. We are coming back! Bo Granström Varberg

"Cozy hotell "
Global32073680387, 01 Janvier 2023

Nice bed, nice breakfast rooms and very cozy hotell very central in Södermalm with a lot of restaurants and pubs, they have also a nice vinery bar to taste a kit of wive if you like it. No ice if you what to stay in in Södermalm

"Could be one of the best in Stockholm"
jacobl720, 29 Décembre 2022

The hotel was excellent. But we lived in room 339 topfloor. During the night it was 24-25 degrees in the room. there was a heating element in the room and no other possibility to affect ventilation or heating or cooling, which made it almost impossible to sleep. But otherwise everything in the hotel was fantastic. However, the main point of the hotel room is to sleep there.

"Amazing"
karinl450, 18 Décembre 2022

Amazing hotel in a old Stockholm courtyard. Most old 20s kind of interior with a modern touch. The breakfast was completely amazing and so was the wine bar! Thanks Amanda in reception for an awesome stay

"What a lovely weekend!!"
Silvan T, 12 Décembre 2022

Wow....it's been a perfect stay at the NOFO Hotel, cosy room, great people, excellent breakfast and all that in Soedermalm. Not to forget the great quality of the winebar.Definitely exceeded our expectations. We'll be back in summer for sure

"Wonderful stay at NOFO"
Bo H, 11 Décembre 2022

Beautiful hotel located in a great area of the city, and a short walking distance from the metro. Rooms were nice and clean, and the staff were friendly. I have never tried a better hotel breakfast, and great that it's served until 11. I warmly recommend this hotel.

"Amazing breakfast and fantastic hospitality!"
brianna722, 07 Décembre 2022

I stayed at NOFO with my husband and parents in two separate rooms. We all thought it was an absolutely fabulous hotel! The breakfast buffet was especially wonderful, and we really loved the heated floors in the bathrooms :) My parents had the Scandinavian design room and we had a Belle Epoque style room - both were very nicely appointed. Bed were comfortable and everything was extremely clean. The location was nice and close to a train station and lots of places to eat and drink, and the in-house wine bar + restaurant also looked really nice. The hotel staff were so friendly, accommodating our request for early check-in when we arrived early in the morning fresh off a red-eye from the US, which was very much appreciated. They even left us some nice treats in the rooms! Looking forward to my next stay here!

"Always a pleasure!"
Y6621UPjonb, 04 Décembre 2022

I realy enjoy the friendly staff, the god selection of wine in the wine bar and the different interior styles. So with that said I can real recommend a stay in stockholm/södermalm and at NOFO (And yes, I'm a returning guest)

"Luxury at affordable price, fabulous!"
Loupb, 30 Novembre 2022

The hotel is so stylish and the quality of the interiors is equally matched by the wonderful team who work there. So friendly (shout out to the night time reception staff, they were so welcoming). This hotel has hit the sweet spot - high end quality and upscale style, but relaxed and friendly and unstuffy. The breakfasts are incredible. The bar/restaurant is very stylish, consisting of 4 or 5 linked rooms each with its own character. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Everything is perfect.

"An excellent stay"
Sean C, 28 Novembre 2022

Very warm and eclectic hotel in a beautiful old brewery with plenty of history. Our room was amazing with vibrant decor and one of the softest most comfortable beds we've ever tried.. To quote my wife "it was like sleeping on a cloud" The staff were quite friendly at reception and the restaurant and the extravagant included breakfast was first class with so many delicious options and heartwarming coffee. Would definitely return to this hotel 100%

"Lovely Experience"
britwitt, 27 Novembre 2022

My friend and I enjoyed our time at NOFO. From the staff to the room, our experience was exceptional. We loved the breakfast. Even on our early morning departure the staff made sure we had to-go coffees!

"Great 5 night stay for thanksgiving week!"
NJMcCabe, 26 Novembre 2022

Just a great boutique hotel in a real Södermalm neighborhood. The kind of hotel that makes you feel like you are experiencing a new city as you should. Suite was amazing. Modern yet classic with 12 foot ceilings and finely appointed furnishings. The breakfast was great with every Swedish delicacy you can think of. And the wine bar was spectacular at night with a cool vibe… every single staff member was exceptionally polite and helpful. Niklas was a great bartender too! Will return!

"Great in many ways... BUT..."
340nilsb, 20 Novembre 2022

Nice spot. Nice interiors. Fabulous beds. Super breakfast BUT the lady at the front desk needs to be more serviceminded, listen to the guest and not brush off what is being said without having the full frame.

"Perfect weekend!"
Isabelle H, 14 Novembre 2022

We are very pleased with our stay at Nofo. Great food, both dinner and breakfast, the room was stunning and the stuff very nice and serviceminded. Would definitely recommend Nofo to everyone. We are happy to be back next time in Stockholm.

"Nogo"
362hjalmarp, 05 Novembre 2022

Small rooms, nor really close to anything, the kitchen ventilation leaks so the floors above it smells like whatever is being cooked. The breakfast was okay Also this hotel is quite expensive. And dusty

"Nice and cozy"
Mikael L, 08 Octobre 2022

Nice and cozy hotel, small rooms but nice looking with comfortable beds. They served really great dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Dinner with various medium sized dishes. Breakfast was huge and really fresh.

"One of the best stays"
ReineNassar, 03 Octobre 2022

The hotel concept is very unique, it merges authenticity, creativity and design. The spaces are very well organized and decorated, not a typical hotel layout. The rooms are very comfortable, well equipped, beautifully designed and the overall atmosphere is amazing! The breakfast is delicious and the service is great ! I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back.

"Birthday getaway"
aramboz, 14 Septembre 2022

amazing stay for my partner's birthday. The staff has been amazingly helpful and caring. They helped me choose the best room for our stay and even surprised us with a nice little birthday gift in the room (cava, red wine and chocolates). The food at the wine bar was exquisite and the waiters were very knowledgeable. They recommended us some wines which were a perfect match to the food. Breakfast was just as impressive as the dinner and the room was perfect : super comfy bed, quiet room, nice little roof window which echoed the sound of the rain. We couldn't have wished for a better stay! All in all, very cozy and comfortable stay. We will definitely come back here!

"A real gem"
QoS4, 08 Septembre 2022

I had been on many business trips to Stockholm always staying at (the perfectly good) hotels near the Arlanda Express terminal. This was a family weekend away and guided by previews we decided on NoFo. Historic building, quirky decor, great rooms, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast to die for and an ambience that fitted perfectly with the Sodermalmen neighbourhood. Easy to reach the old Town and the waterways by foot or via nearby Metro or even easier to enjoy the local Soder chill out.

"Nice"
Mathias K, 27 Août 2022

Nice but not exceptional. Great breakfast in the courtyard. The bar was closed when we came in at midnight. Never understood if the snacks blocking the table in the room were courtesy of the hotel or if there was a price list somewhere. No air conditioning, so I would avoid it on warm days.

"NOFO's is a thrill !"
Jan_Kjellerup, 14 Août 2022

Please dont be sad when your guest are leaving, as you texted me after my departure. You run a Hotel ! It's what a hotel is all about. Nevertheless, we had an excellent stay. Playlist though, should be changed during a three day stay. We will come again next time we're in Stockholm. So don't be sad at all.

"Wonderful and completely charming"
Naomi_Guibarra, 12 Août 2022

The location was amazing. The Old Town and central Stockholm was easily walkable, but we actually really enjoyed spending time in Sodermalm itself as it has a high concentration of interesting and good quality restaurants, bars, parks and shops. It was about a 5 min walk from the nearest metro station. The hotel has so much character. Lots of attention has gone into the design of the communal spaces, as well as the individual floors. It was great to have the courtyard and balconies as outdoor space to relax in as well. The breakfast was the best I've ever experienced. I am intolerant to dairy and wheat and for the first time in my life there were multiple healthy options to eat. Highlights for me included freshly squeezed juices, chia seed pudding and the overnight oats (helpfully soaked in soy). I am told the bacon and eggs were amazing too! Also, I loved that the breakfast went on to 11am - this is perfect for a relaxed vibe and if you've had a late night previously. The downside is the size of the rooms, if you go for the cheapest double room, though I understand this is common in Stockholm. There could have been more storage space for suitcases and also more privacy in the bathroom (as the window panel is not entirely opaque). We were in the Queens/NY style room which was maybe not the most aesthetic but it was super quiet which was great for sleep! Overall the experience was fantastic. Thank you NoFo staff for your hospitality!!

"A hotel with a heart & eye for detail"
Reasinable, 12 Août 2022

Refreshing to stay at a family owned hotel that put people first and have their heart in treating them in such a respectful loving manner. This hotel makes you feel TRULY like a guest. The breakfast buffet is spectacular. The rooms are so perfectly fitted with the best (bathroom)hardware & sleeping software. The lounge areas are stylish, with a definite urban vibe, and hippy groovy feel. AND the STAFF are the best with recommendations, help, advice and tips. Definitely will visit Stockholm, DEFINITELY will stay at NOFO again. Greetings to Glen & Alexander from Holland.

"Short trip to Stockholm"
I7200FJvictorp, 10 Août 2022

We (2 adults and 2 children (8 and 12 years old) enjoyed our stay at Nofo Hotel. It is perfectly located in Södermalm, Gamla Stan is in walking distance, bus and Tunnelbana stations are nearby. The beautifully decorated room (Scandinavian Design) was spacious and provided plenty of room for our family. All necessary amenities could be found in the large and tasteful bathroom and we all enjoyed the twin rain shower a lot. The friendly staff and the delicious breakfast buffet also contributed to our excellent experience. We can highly recommend Nofo Hotel and will certainly come back.

"Small rooms"
paulolivierrl, 05 Août 2022

Nicely decorated hotel but with minuscule room (not even a closet to hang up our clothes) and a small bed. Difficult to walk in the room if one of us 2 was not lying on the bed …..…. And the hotel doesn't accept cash which feel utterly wrong and with a lack of customer service spirit.

"Excellent stay"
Brandi C, 04 Août 2022

Excellent stay at NOFO. The breakfast was very complete & delicious. We loved the junior suite, and it was fun to explore the neighborhood and walk to most places of interest in the city. Would definitely return, and encourage anyone looking for a funky but very nice hotel!

"Exellent"
795anttij, 29 Juillet 2022

What a delight! So friendly service from start to end ja cool room! Possibility to choose different type of styles of room. Also breakfast was super. Hotel located close to heart of Södermalm and easy to travel everywhere.

"Weekend in Stockholm"
BjornBjorn69, 25 Juillet 2022

Hotel holds a high standard. Rooms have high quality and breakfast has many different choices. I can recommend the hotel to others. What was not satisfying was the rook temperature or ventilation. Hot outside, sauna inside. We had windows open to keep cool, but then was annoyed by the hotel bar outside. If room had air conditioning it would be 10/10 or atleast proper ventilation, but since it did not, I'd say 6-7 out of 10.

"Incredible staff and charming decor"
Tim W, 23 Juillet 2022

Amazing reception and bar staff, awesome breakfast, and a good location near lots of restaurants make this an easy choice. Plus if you want to just chill, the connected wine bar, courtyard, and unique decor on each floor make this a great place to hang out. We did have an issue with our room key, but the way they handled the problem made us feel welcome and supported, and serves as an example of how the service industry should be!

"Great room, breakfast and vibe. Cleaning a bit lacking"
nresare, 23 Juillet 2022

The room was great. Very comfy bed, maybe a bit on the soft side, good shower. No AC, at least not thst could be configured in the room, but the temperature was fine even though there was a bit of a heat wave in Stockholm at the time. There was some issues with the cleaning initially that was addressed promptly

"Perfect place to stay!"
S7185GOmarias, 21 Juillet 2022

This place is the perfect place to stay for a few nights in Stockholm. The bed was comfy, room tiny but just right. The location is awesome and the breakfast buffet just ace. If I had to complain about something it would possibly be the teeny tiny bathroom. Had to open the shower door to fit my legs to sit on the toilet. And the sink was then also in the way. But definitely not a deal-breaker. Hopefully the bathrooms in the double rooms are bigger!

"Amazing stay"
489evelyno, 16 Juillet 2022

We were staying in Stockholm for one night. We had a wonderful time at Nofo Hotel. The service is excellent, very friendly staff . The breakfast was delicious, lots of variety. The room was so beautiful, elegant interior. We will come back!

"NoFo"
868terhit, 16 Juillet 2022

I love the place, been there before and will return for sure. The rooms have a lovely variety of styles, location is great, staff helpful. Breakfast is excellent in general, but I would appreciate if there were more vegan options (there is chia pudding and vegan overnight oats, which are lovely, but some warm/savoury vegan dishes would make a world of difference). Anyway, a gem worth visiting.

"Brilliant value, chic space and clean comfy room"
annakS2583GS, 14 Juillet 2022

Spot-on Södermalm location, central and walkable yet a peaceful haven thanks to large courtyard. Fun, youthful décor with thoughtful comforts. Very clean, comfortable beds and friendly, easy-going staff. Lovely wines, local gin and generous quality breakfast. Extremely good value.

"Wonderful stay at cool hotel!"
213famp, 01 Juillet 2022

Everything about this hotel is great. We stayed at the Moulin Rouge floor-very stylish! The kids loved it and so did we. Wonderful room, cozy beds and perfect breakfast. Highly recommended to anyone who visits Stockholm and doesn't want the ”typical” place to stay.

"A must stay hotel"
tomkF8892OJ, 30 Juin 2022

Quite room, wonderful smell, incredible breakfast, the most exploring decoration (always something to take picture of). So many things to explore and shop around. A wine bar to rememeber in the hotel!!! Friendly and trained stuff. Till we meet again.

"Quirky, cool and relaxed hotel"
KingofHerts, 29 Juin 2022

This was a lovely relaxed hotel, really cool decor and very relaxing compared to some corporate marble clad building Ive stayed in previoulsy with work, the environment and style just makes you feel far more relaxed. The twin room I shared with my son was sizeable, airy, very clean and whilst authentic decor it also has the modern vibe. The bathroom though small was really modern, clean with a lovely glass fronted shower. Breakfast buffet was amazing and served ample amounts of bacon, much to my sons pleasure, as well as cooked / continental breakfast, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, juices and the list goes on, its was remarkable. The staff were smart and friendly I would defintiely go back here, the location is great also!.

"Excellent stay"
Jari N, 26 Juin 2022

The hotel has a very nice "artsy" concept. I liked it very much and will be back some day for sure. Also the location at the heart of Söder is great. All the cool things in the neighborhood are within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Nearest tube station is at Medborgasplatsen some 300 meters away.

"Charming hotel in an excellent location"
lenap55, 24 Mai 2022

NOFO is located in “Söder” a very nice part of Stockholm. It is close to local transport and it is just a matter of minutes to get downtown. The rooms are small but charming and the breakfast is fantastic with all you can wish for.

"Go elsewhere"
brucebruce13, 22 Mai 2022

This hotel is dark and pokey, our superior room was dark with no aircon and only a small window for fresh air. The curtains are hopeless as the room stays light so we ended up sleeping with our aeroplane masks on. There is minimal clothes/ storage place with a tiny hanging space above the cups and kettle, the tea/coffee cups provided are totally useless as the are to hot to hold and have no handle. The receptionists although very friendly we're totally inexperienced and no help with the touristy things or anything else. Breakfast was very good and they serve a lovely coffee. Will not be staying here on our return.

"Fantastic place"
Krantzan, 15 Mai 2022

We stayed 2 nights in this wonderful and inspiring environment. Fantastic staff, both in reception and restaurant / bar. The food and breakfast with the best ingredients. Love the different concepts in the rooms. We stayed in the light Scandinavian section this visit. Quality all the way. We will be back, Thank you NOFO. / Anneli & Janne

"Best stay!"
Krisisb, 08 Mai 2022

Nice location, very familiar atmosphere, lovely happenings in the garden… we slept well in the nest of beds and we can highly recommend to have dinner at the hotel and save at least one hour or two for the breakfast! Best hotel in Stockholm

"An almost great boutique hotel"

In so many ways this is a great hotel - ideally situated for the shops, bars and cafes of SOFO in hip Sodermalm, lovely interiors with a great sense of style, very friendly and efficient young team of staff, comfortable beds, fantastic breakfast. The wine bar is lively and full of atmosphere, the ideal place to unwind at the end of a day out, and the food selction, while limited to a relatively small number of sharing plates for dinner, is top notch quality. The only downsides? Rooms are small, but that isn't unusual in a Stockholm boutique hotel - the main issue is poor noise insulation on the windows. If you are on the side of the hotel that has a row of household recycling bins outside then expect to be woken up regularly by street noise from passers by and the municipal lorries emptying the bins. And since there is no climate control in the rooms if it is warm you just have to take the heat, because opening the windows just isn't an option. If you're a heavy sleeper I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly, but if you're easily disturbed then don't say you weren't warned!

"Awesome"
MatsW113, 28 Avril 2022

There is a special sense of quality, unfortunately only rarely experienced in connection with a hotel stay, when everything is just right. When the bed welcomes you, the room is tidy and fresh, the bathroom (although small) has perfectly tempered towels and the water flows generously from the showerhead. When the staff is super friendly and greets you with a smile, the breakfast buffet has it all and the champagne, available by the glass, lets you glimpse a taste of heaven. There you have it: NoFo.

"Unforgettable visit"
oona_amanda, 25 Avril 2022

Stylish and cozy hotel in a wonderful part of the city. Every detail seemed thought, from rainfall shower to artwork on the walls. Recommend the hotel wine bar too, and the breakfast was top! Would definitely come again.

"So Sodermalm"
AliThompsoni, 15 Avril 2022

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast with many vegan options. Strong design focus in decoration with different themes in different wings. I came across this hotel by chance on web search, and in a pinch took a small room for a couple of days, but would be pleased to go back and enjoy the benefits of a larger room. I enjoyed discovering the little sitting rooms and sunny balconies.

"Best hotel in Stockholm"
667melindaf, 07 Avril 2022

Nice rooms with great beds. Lovely breakfust with healty alternatives. I always live here when in Stockholm. Nice and friendly staff and great winebar with good food. I like that the restaurant are divided into small, different cosy rooms.

"Excellence (except the tomatoes)"
oscarfT1712DB, 06 Avril 2022

I adore this Hotel. Everytime im in Stockholm I choose to stay here, whether I'm solo or traveling with my family. Everything is great, service is great, rooms are unique and beautiful, beds and pillows feels very luxurious. If you stay here make sure to reserve a table in their restaurant. One of the top food experiences in Stockholm. Breakfast is top notch also. Freshly baked bread. Fresh juices, smoothies, crisp bacon - selection is huge and just lovely. However, and this is beyond me, the tomatoes and cucumber on the breakfast are soggy. I love tomatoes, but hate the soggy ones. My guess is that they are prepared the night before. This issue is actually bothering me. When everything else is so high class, why not just prepare the cucumbers and tomatoes in time for breakfast?

"Fab location and wonderful stay"
Karesson, 05 Mars 2022

Love this hotel! It feels very much like a home away from home. Also, it's in a very nice location on Söder where there are few hotels at all. Think of Söder as the Brooklyn of STHLM ish. Parking is easy - the hotel has a garage. Breakfast is extensive to say the least!

Best get away for mother and tweenie-son. Great room, breakfast and service. Lots of things to do and see in the area. Great range of restaurants nearby. This will be an annual tradition. Peaceful environment.

"City trip to Stockholm"
ralflK2190CE, 15 Février 2022

We had very pleasant stay in the hotel. The hotel has a very charming style. Service, food, quality and staff is excellent. In special the staff of the reception is very friendly and helpful. For the next stay in Stockholm the NOFO hotel will be again the choice.

"Happiness and perfection."
filipdepauw, 12 Novembre 2021

Not the first time I stayed in this hotel, but again proven why I always like to come back. Staff ever so helpful, whether reception, lounge or breakfast. Room very hygienic - breakfast is good quality. A relaxed lounge room, feeling home while traveling.

"Nice hotel"
pailakas, 14 Octobre 2021

The location was perfect, a beautiful district, and not far from the central and the metro station was also close. The breakfast was amazing! The room was very nice, slept like a baby. The staff was very helpful and sweet.

"Trendy hotel"
476neiln, 11 Septembre 2021

Now this is an amazing place. A hidden gem in Stockholm's "Söder" part. Everything is classy, trendy, cozy, cool. Like living in a movie set. We've now been here twice this year in their different suites. Both suites have different extravagant themes that make you feel like a star. A perfect place for a weekend treat. And we will certainly be back. Service was perfect. Professional, understanding, friendly. Breakfast, wow a lot to choose from. @Niklas, sorry this review is so late. Time just slipped away in the squirrel wheel of life. Your service was top notch. Time for a new visit soon.

"Cool hotal in a cool part of town."
robbret, 27 Juillet 2021

My spouse an I stayed at this hotel for two nights in July 2021. The hotel is located in Södermalm, a cool and trendy part of Stockholm. The city center can easily be reached by metro or by one of the thousands of shared electric scooters in the city. Even on foot the city center is only 25mins away, beware returning to the hotel is uphill though. The hotel has a courtyard where their wine bar/restaurant is located. We had a classic double room. The room was rather small and located on the top floor, under the roof, south-facing. The room was HOT and there was no air conditioning, just a fan and a small window. Had to sleep with earplugs due to the city noise with the window open. Not ideal. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is good but not exceptional. Lots of things crammed into a very small space (the bar) and it gets very crowded in the morning. Also not ideal. We did however enjoy being able to have our brekfast outside in the courtyard. All in all a decent hotel but with some drawbacks.

"Cosy hotel"
kajardart, 31 Mai 2021

Hotel with atmospher in peaceful district of the city. It's close to everything you might need in the lovely Södermalm area. I would recommend to everyone that loves the oldtime charme. From here you can easily ans sagely walk to eateries

"Great design hotel in hipster trendy area"
jenniferwilliams2021, 14 Avril 2021

Beautifully designed hotel in old building situated in cool area of Stockholm. The hotel has calm surroundings - facing park at the back. And entrance is in an old court yard where in spring/summertime you can sit outside. Walking distans to central Stockholm and all necessary sightseeing. I stayed with my daughter 15 years old for a night - we had a great time.

"A hidden gem!"
williammathiassabel, 29 Mars 2021

I stayed at NOFO hotel with my husband and our small dog during a weekend in March 2021 and we are all stunned how cozy it was! The hotel and its Wine Bar is really a hidden gem in Stockholm (Södermalm area). I Can just imagine how nice it is to sit and sip on a chilled champagne in the courtyard during the summer months! We will absolutely come back!

"No COVID-19 Refund"
OzzieMelbourne, 30 Décembre 2020

As a retiree, I planned a trip of a lifetime for July, August & September 2020. I booked most of my hotels via Qantas Hotels, with some of them being Non-refundable. As the World closed down international travel, I contacted Qantas Hotels to see where I stood with all of my Hotel Bookings Some of which were also Non-refundable). In all cases (except the NOFO Hotel), my bookings were cancelled and the full payments refunded. I understand that Qantas Hotels contacted the NOFO Hotel twice, and refused to refund twice. I also emailed the NOFO Hotel myself, and also received a reply from them that they won't refund me. I will make my first visit to Sweden in the future (when COVID-19 restrictions permit), but rest assured I won't be staying at the NOFO Hotel. Unlike many other Hotels around the World that I was planning to stay at, the NOFO Hotel has absolutely no compassion. Be very aware. I also read with interest another review of someone who was thrown out of the Hotel at 10pm at night due to their full name not being on the registration form. How odd, but more importantly it shows that the management is focused solely on it's budget rather than its customers needs and well being.

"They literally kicked me out of my room on a booking technicality!"
Docaroo, 30 Novembre 2020

This is the most anti-customer and unbelievably rude hotel experience I have ever had in any hotel in the world. Just awful. I was staying with a friend who booked the room as '2 guests' and the night manager came round at 10pm and kicked me out of the hotel (with security) under threat of calling the police - all because my full name wasn't stated as a guest on the room! Despite the booking being for 2 people! On this technically they decided I had to leave the hotel with no where else to stay that night!!!! Absolutely shocking and unbelievable...never ever stay here. I've never experienced anything like this before in my life. Avoid this place at all costs.

"Great hotel in a fantastic location; amazing breakfast"
travelwiz13, 04 Novembre 2020

This is a really charming hotel in a fantastic location -- at the heart of Stockholm's most vibrant neighborhood and just a few blocks from a major metro station. Tons and tons of cafes, bars, shops, grocery stores, and restaurants surrounding the hotel. The building is historic and feels a bit more like an apartment block than a hotel -- you enter via a courtyard where there's also a popular wine bar. I stayed for a week and booked a single room, but was pleasantly surprised to receive a full bed, perhaps because of reduced travel. The room was spotless, had a very comfortable bed, and a great bathroom with good water pressure and hot water. WiFi and TV both worked great. At a time when hotels in many countries refuse to serve breakfast or give you a plastic-wrapped apple, the free breakfast at this hotel was truly incredible! Massive selection of hot and cold items, coffee, tea, smoothies, breads from a local bakery. The breakfast adds incredible value to one's stay. I hope to return to Stockholm and stay at this hotel again.

"Lovely hotel in a beautiful city"
botrip1, 15 Septembre 2020

Stayed there for 3 nights while visiting the beautiful city of Stcokholm. Located perfectly well in Södermalm, we could easily explore the city by foot. Stylish, modern hotel, friendly check in, nice and clean small room. Breakfast was excellent with all you can ask for, Swedish fish pickles, fresh scrabled eggs, all sorts of bread and healthy options, smoothies, etc... We recommend staying there, itˋs a lovely place! If you are into wines, check them out for their wine events/tastings.

"Cozy hotel, beautiful rooms, one of the best Breakfast buffets I ever experienced"
goncaloluz, 03 Septembre 2020

I stayed over as a guest, in a suite my friends had booked for themselves. I really enjoyed the room, the service and the neighborhood. The sofa-bed was quite comfortable. But the thing to really look forward to, is the amazing breakfast buffet. I travel a lot, I stayed in many different hotels and resorts around the word, and I rarely experienced such amazing quality and careful variety of food.

"Not a very funny experience"
Freemountain, 29 Août 2020

Situated in a quite dodgy area in Södermalm but came highly recommended we decided to try this hotel out. On the surface and exterior is top class. We tried an executive room and we were to say the least disappointing. The room is small, not clean, stains on the walls and uncleaned bathroom. Our room was inspired by Paris but I am sure the interior designer has never been to Paris. When you enter you are greeted by a room with sofa, minibar and hangers that serves no purpose at all. I was sure this couldn't be a executive room. The bedroom is very very small. The bathroom is the biggest joke with a shower and tilted glas rack over the sink. The whole room feels dated and old. I will not recommend this hotel. It is poorly situated and it's all about surface but no quality.

"Made our wedding weekend perfect!"
JournoTraveler, 28 Juin 2020

Our stay at NOFO Hotel in Stockholm was fantastic. We had booked two superior rooms for our wedding weekend. Since I informed the reception that we will have a photographer as well as a make-up artist come up to our room, they gave us a bigger room and a bottle of wine, a hand-written note, as well as some toffees upon arrival. The rooms were incredibly beautiful, spot clean, and the bed was super comfortable. While we had hoped that the room had an air con, we were provided with fans who did a good job too in keeping us cool during these hot two summer days. On Friday evening, after our wedding, we pre-booked a special request vegan dinner and a wine package for two. The staff was incredibly attentive, from Michelle at reception confirming every little thing for me in detail, to Head Chef Patricio who called me to confirm the dinner choices, to Ellinor who organised the special dinner, to Malou who was an extremely friendly and attentive waiting staff. Thank you once again for making our wedding weekend so special!

"Amazing "
FGiggity, 20 Février 2020

Comfortable bed, linens, pillow. Amazing breakfast buffet (protein, eggs, carbs, juice, coffee). Staff are sooo kind. Close to everything. Fast check in, check out. Great internet connection. Hot water, great pressure. Worth it.

"Good hotel, great staff."
Steinihfj, 10 Février 2020

I stayed at Nofo for two nights in February very good hotel, clean, great internet, nice bar, offered free chese and food after 3pm if you bought a drink (dont know if that is always). Great sleeping comfort and fun place to stay. The reception staff told us about two amazing restaurants, that did the trip amazing. Great hotel I will stay there again :)

"Regret not spending our previous stays to Stockholm here"
kevindk2019, 26 Janvier 2020

The hotel experience at NOFO was exceptional. Staff was very attentive and friendly. The building itself feels cosy and is well restored. Rooms likewise (bed very comfortable). The continental breakfast was well presented and one could tell the kitchen puts effort into it. Needless to say that Södermalm is a great neighborhood to stay in Stockholm. We will surely come back.

"Would stay again"
132cillianh, 16 Décembre 2019

Great location! Have stayed here a few times now. Would stay again. Everyone was very helpful. Great staff - very welcoming, professional and courteous! Room was clean and overall no major complaints.

"Your base on Sodermalm"
from_moscow, 01 Décembre 2019

NoFo hotel is conveniently located close to famous SoFo district and famous Sodermalm vistas. It also borders one of the most beautiful Stockholm churches - Katarina church. Some of the rooms face the park and cemetery attached to the church, but that's much more peaceful than scary. The hotel welcomes you with cozy and calm courtyard, followed by front desk area. The staff is always there, smiling and ready to help. I was kindly allowed to check-in couple of hours earlier than the official check-in time. Hotel design is inspired by Nordic, Italian and US themes and combines chic of these regions. Take a look at the photos on the official web site to choose the design you prefer, cause they are so different and seeing a single photo doesn't guarantee you get the same experience. I've got a Nordic room inspired by Swedish countryside houses. It was rather simple, maybe even too simple, while everything was clean (apart from someone's here in the bathroom) and comfortable. The bed was a bit too soft for me. TV set had only 12 available channels, including BBC. Probably, the room was the most modest experience I've had in NoFo, while the common areas on the first floor are a state of the art! Breakfast is held in a beautiful restaurants consisting of several rooms. Since no one navigates you, you can end up in the first room which can become crowded even in the low season. The choice of cold meals was good, while for the hot ones it was limited with eggs, bacon and pancakes. Overall, I would rate it 4.5, and end up saying that NoFo could be your almost perfect base on Sodermalm.

"Beautiful Hotel. 7-9 Nov"
MrCliveEdwards, 09 Novembre 2019

Wife checked in a day before. She was assured by reception that a key card would be left for me upon my arrival the next day. Upon my arrival I was told there was no information regarding a key card. “Due to security reasons they could not give me access to the room” said the receptionist. I was able to tell them the name of booking, room number (309) she was in and check out date. Still unable to give me access. They attempted to call the wife but as she was in meetings the entire day would not be able to accept calls. Eventually they decided to give me a card to the room. Despite this small inconvenience I would strongly recommend this Hotel. Perfectly located in the Heart of Södermalm. Has all the amenities you could ask for. Staff are very friendly and polite. Room was small but perfect in every way with all modern fixtures and fittings. Hotel is exceptionally clean and fresh. The bar/lounge is relaxing and cosy. I could go on and on praising this Hotel on every aspect and feature. Try this Hotel.... you will not be disappointed!!!

"Forget about the glossy-shiny hotel images!"
Franck_T, 26 Octobre 2019

The overpriced standard rooms (222 & 224) in NOFO Hotel were tiny like in a youth-hostel with an even smaller bathroom. The walls are wafer-thin and you can hear every little noise from the neighbours. The shower-area in the tiny bathroom was awful with the shower curtain. I felt really uncomfortable in the NOFO Hotel room.

"Quiet and charming hotel at Söder"
turisterna2019, 17 Octobre 2019

Very beautiful and quiet hotel in the middle of Söder in Stockholm. It´s in an old building and the beautiful church Katarina Kyrka is just outside the hotel. You can sleep with the window open. Don´t miss this place!

"great neighborhood location, terrific breakfast buffet"
wallymoon, 14 Octobre 2019

met out expectations and more. our first stop in Sweden and it was comfortable, quiet, secure. breakfast was outstanding. rooms were nice, neighborhood is fun place to walk. didn't get as much helpful direction as one might expect from front desk when we asked about vegetarian restaurants for one of our party. They directed us to a place that didn't exist, and didn't mention one we found just a few blocks away with all vegetarian choices and a buffet. But I'd certainly stay here again if I were ever back in Stockholm.

"A hotel with wine and inner court yard"
Mia226, 08 Octobre 2019

Nofo hotel clise to the Sofo area of Sodermalm but on the North side of Folkungagatan is almost like a secret place. Especially good during summer thanks to it' Great inner yard where both locals and tourists mingle. Good selection of wine also by glass as well as local beers. Food from small menu available. I can definitely recommend this place.

"Dreamy"
dianapixie, 02 Octobre 2019

I love staying here for my business trips. The design is gorgeous, in the rooms and common areas alike; love the different city inspirations! Do yourself a favor and book a bigger room, it's so worth it! The beds are very comfortable, as are the rooms overall. I've tried several types of rooms, including the suites which are fabulous and include a personal sauna built next to the shower. The staff are very welcoming, bubbly and attentive, even to the point of remembering guests by name. The metro isn't particularly close but there are bus stops 2 minutes away from the hotel. I cant say enough good things about this hotel :)

"Fabulous hotel!"
phoebesjoanne, 29 Septembre 2019

Quirky fabulous luxurious hotel - can't rate highly enough! Rooms of a very high standard with lots of attention to detail and immaculate. Staff so friendly and amazing breakfast with masses of choice! Definitely worth every krona!

"great boutique hotel in Sodermalm...."
pepe_of_perth, 26 Septembre 2019

What an amazing hotel! The service is excellent, the rooms are amazing! Our first room was very spacious and beautifully furnished. It overlooked what we thought would be a quiet lane, but the lane had a small recycling station on the footpath, and around 1am, we were woken by someone putting their glass bottles into the recycling bin! The next day, we asked if we could move to a quieter room. Lucky for us, there was a room available, albeit a bit smaller, that faced the church grounds/cemetery. We didn't mind as long it it was quiet, which it was. This room was also beautifully and tastefully furnished. The breakfast was amazing, a little bit crowded with people at the peak times, as the food is laid out in a very small space, but still very enjoyable. There are lots of cafes and restaurants in the area, and we walked everywhere from the hotel, even as far as the Vasa Museum. Highly recommend this hotel if you visit Stockholm, as we felt like we were staying in an uber cool neighbourhood, but not too far away from the sights of Stockholm. We felt very safe walking the streets in the area at night.

"Wonderful hotel"
PC20132013, 25 Septembre 2019

The NOFO is perfectly located in hip Modburgerplas, one of Sodermalm's evolving districts. The hotel has different designs for each section based on precincts of London and New York. Our first night was in a very small room. They moved us to a bigger room for the next two nights. Both were well appointed and the extra room was appreciated. Breakfast was great, notwithstanding that you have to make your own teabags. There was an “IT issue” that prevented us getting a second room key. I got sick of asking about it although wonder if the issue prevented booking and payment how quickly it would have been addressed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I will certainly consider returning to NOFO if I return to Stockholm.

"The perfect hotel "
Liron K, 24 Septembre 2019

In one word- perfect! The hotel is located in a great place with many restaurants around and a train station just 5 minutes by foot. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was awesome with many choices. The room was big and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel is breathtaking and each floor is designed by a different theme. I would definitely return:) Two things that could be improved: tv English Channels and newspapers in English at the breakfast. But I will back even without a tv or a newspaper:)

"Excellent boutique hotel!"
sofia_slb, 24 Septembre 2019

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful hotel. The room was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hotel is located on a quiet street nearby the metro and main sights. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Stockholm!

"Lovely hotel in Stockholm"
JanetW922, 22 Septembre 2019

We had a delightful 3 night stay here. The hotel is very comfortable and close to transport and sights in a quiet area. I love the interior design as it is very funky. We came across a wine tasting in the courtyard when we arrived which was fun. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

"From the moment you walk in you're amazed!"
Kikki_LaMarChica, 04 Septembre 2019

From the moment you walk across the courtyard to the hotel reception at this funky hotel in trendy Södermalm to the nice welcome of the reception staff and the quirky details of the hallways you're in for a treat! The rooms are great, small but really nicely decorated with attention to detail and story telling by each hallway being themed; Brooklyn, SOHO etc. Beds are very comfortable and bathrooms modern and spacious with all the amenities needed. The breakfast too, served in the hotel's winebar, is a treat too with lots of fresh and homemade food to choose from. I will definitely recommend this hotel and be back next time I visit stockholm! Thanks for a lovely stay.

"Really ovely hotel with a truly brilliant breakfast (but ask for a quiet room)"
Grassland88, 01 Septembre 2019

We stayed four days at the NOFO Hotel in the Södermalm section of Stockholm, having extended from our original booking of 3 days because we liked it so much. The hotel is close to a T station and buses, and an easy 15 minute walk to to the old part of Stockholm - Gamla Stan. The hotel is in an old brewery building from the late 17thC that has also been a barracks, cholera hospital and most recently, apartments. It has a very nice, quiet, enclosed cobbled courtyard with outdoor seating for a wine bar. The hotel is notable for its amazing breakfast spread. Available from 7-10 daily, and to 11am on weekends, it's one of the best I've ever experienced, with an incredible range of choices. The hotel is obviously popular with a vibrant crowd of both Swedish and international business and tourist visitors, and I'd say younger than the usual hotel guests I see, with many people in their late 20s and 30s. The only piece of advice I have is to request a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor that overlooks the church/park, rather than (as we were given) rooms on the ground floor with the community glass recycling bins right outside the window, but we absolutely loved the hotel and we will 100% return.

"Stylish boutique hotel in excellent Sodermalm location"
mnotti472885, 30 Août 2019

Very well appointed boutique hotel adjacent the beautiful church gardens, a short stroll from Sofo. Excellent amenities and friendly, efficient service. The common areas like the lounge and courtyard are particularly pleasant.

"Almost perfect"
373tl, 30 Août 2019

My husband and I stayed at the NOFO hotel for 3 nights in room 337, the Brooklyn style. The hotel is in a great location, near metro, cool shops, bars and restaurants. It not a bad walk to Gamla Stan, if you don't mind a 25/30 minute walk. The hotel also includes breakfast, which is really good. Buffet style and the have a little of everything. The bed was comfortable, however the walls are a Iittle thin. We could hear our neighbors muffled talking, which we were able to look past. Our neighbor on the other hand could not and kept pounding and banging on the adjoining wall. We weren't using the TV, playing music just simply talking in our normal voices. This went on for our entire stay. The lights in the room are at a pretty dim level so if you are trying to read it is difficult. The other thing that was a little annoying is that the water gets under the glass at the shower and gets all over the bathroom. On the plus side the towels are nice and large. Overall we liked the hotel, there a few things that could be improved.

"2 nights for a concert in the Tele 2 arena."
rik6, 05 Août 2019

Rooms tiny. Bed very comfortable. Wardrobe, drawers? No. Fridge smelled horrible. Food very good. Recommend or stay here again? No. Location not great and room far too small. No air con. 4 star? No. Overpriced? Yes, but most things in Sweden are.

"Very nice hotel with friendly staff"
Esther G, 21 Juillet 2019

Very nice hotel, rooms are small and compact but have good amenities and the hotel is in the Old Town which is a good location for sightseeing. Staff are friendly and rooms are kept very clean and the wifi works well. The hotel is reasonably priced. There is not a desk and chair in the room so if travelling for business it is not easy to work in the room in the evenings.

"Excellent boutique hotel"
Kirstin C, 21 Juillet 2019

Really loved my stay at the NOFO. The hotel is in the best location - quiet street in a nice neighbourhood, and really handy for transport links. Check in quick and easy. Room was on the 3rd floor - loved the windows. The entire design of the hotel is fantastic, with each area given a different vibe e.g. NY, London, Paris. The courtyard is fantastic, as are the little balconies. Enjoyed the evenings here. Breakfast also great. Would absolutely love to return.

"Incredible staff, charming hotel"
happyviajero7, 20 Juillet 2019

Funky little hotel - the entrance is in the corner of a courtyard. Once you get into the hotel, the staff is incredibly friendly, and helpful. Small elevator up to the rooms, but we never had to wait long. The wings of the hotel appear to be related to parts of New York City. We stayed in the Brooklyn area. Our room was lovely - small but beautiful Scandanavian design. To open the roof window, they had this neat little arm/gadget. Breakfast was incredible, one of the best if not the best, of our stay. Staff was incredibly friendly. Most hotels in Europe are not used to Americans expecting available ice. The front desk person actually ( this was around midnight ) went over to the bar and filled up a pitcher for us. I cannot say enough good things about the staff, and this hotel. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, and stay here again!. Thank you, NOFO hotel for a wonderful stay!

"A perfect Stockholm stay "
Gemmacope, 17 Juillet 2019

A stylish and beautiful hotel located in the chilled, laid back area of Södermalm. Breakfast is just stunning and sets you up for the day. Very cosy beds and comfortable rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful with local information.

"Great boutique hotel in trendy, residential area"
crosby372, 15 Juillet 2019

We loved staying at Nofo! Boutique-style (it's not tiny but it feels comfortably small) hotel with a lovely courtyard where you can sit outside and eat at their wine bar/restaurant. There's also a small table where you can eat your own food (nice in expensive Stockholm). We stayed in two different "double rooms"--one on 2nd fl was small but comfortable, with 2 twin beds and a big window overlooking the park. The other was on 3rd floor, much larger, with a single bed and a queen. Great mattresses (average, neither soft nor firm), nice linens. Everything new and clean. Rooms very quiet. Breakfast is superb; a huge amount of options for vegetarians, everything fresh and delicious. We loved the neighborhood; it is not touristy. There are loads of cafes, restaurants, and bars. The hotel is very close to the metro. From the airport, via Arlanda Express, it's about 35 minutes (3 stops on metro from Central Station). We stayed here twice and would happily do so again!

"Mariam"
mariamnyirenda, 15 Juillet 2019

Perfect hotel, atmosphere and location if you want to enjoy a couples weekend. We stayed here for my partners 30th birthday so the staff was super nice and decorated the room with balloons. The restaurant, inside and out, is super cosy and so nice if you just want to sit and relax with a glass of wine.

"Perfect for a stay in Sodermalm"
travelluver222, 14 Juillet 2019

My husband and I stayed at NOFO for four nights and loved this hotel! The breakfast was awesome, with a wide variety of hot and cold items, all fresh and delicious - it's worth staying here just for that. The staff was attentive, all spoke beautiful English, and were helpful with recommendations. Location was walkable to all the tourist attractions, as well as the bus and metro. Sodermalm is a great neighborhood with lots of cafes and restaurants. The rooms are not equal, however, so try to pick based on what is important to you. The "classic" rooms are very small, and I was unhappy with ours; it was on the top floor with one dormer window that was too high to look out, and the toilet was literally two feet from the bed - small even for a couple. I should note that my husband had no problem with the room size, and for the price, it is still excellent value. The room faced the church courtyard, which was very nice and quiet. On our last night, a "superior" (slightly larger) room finally opened up, so we moved. It was also on the attic floor, but had a second window and more space so was well worth it for me. My husband preferred the first room because the second faced the street and was noisier (I am fairly deaf so not a problem for me!) The floors have different themes - we got a kick out of our floor's NYC theme - I guess that goes with the small living spaces on the top floor. The beds were comfortable, the shower strong and hot, the decor throughout the hotel was charming, lots of small touches that gave it a great vibe. We will definitely stay there again.

"As different from a big chain hotel as imaginable. And just wonderful !!"
David L, 09 Juillet 2019

Located in a quiet residential neighbourhood near to everything, with a unique and innovative character. It's my home when in Stockholm. Brunch and wine bar is excellent, but it's the decor that really stands out. There aren't really words for it, it's so imaginative, cozy and comfortable. It's in a very old warehouse or office building, probably built in the 18th century. They've just completed an extensive gutting and renovation. Rooms are all new and modern with different themes. My wife fell in love with it instantly. Scores of neighborhood restaurants all around and a short walk to the cliffside with amazing views over the harbor, and many interesting small shops. Also right near the Fotografik Museum. If you're looking for a big hotel with bars, casinos, nightlife, this is not the place for you. The Nofo is small, elegant and not at all pretentious. Staff is helpful and friendly, too. Breakfast can get a little crowded so pick your time carefully. The offerings are sumptuous, and the courtyard is a great place for brunch or a drink at the end of the day. Will try to continue to stay there each time I visit Stockholm

"The best hotel of our Scandinavia trip"
tripellen, 06 Juillet 2019

NOFO is close to perfect. Spacious well appointed room with mini bar, iron and board and large bathrooms. Wonderful bed and pillows. The breakfast is amazing with a huge range of hot and cold food available and great coffee. The location is fabulous with shops and restaurants nearby and a 3 min walk to the metro so you are in the Old Town and city within 10 minutes. The only change which would make the hotel perfect would be a steam iron. Staff are friendly and efficient. Stay here when is Stockholm and enjoy this wonderful hotel. Great value too.

"Wonderful hotel"
irbet, 29 Juin 2019

I absolutely enjoyed my stay in Nofo. Very comfortable superior room, great bed, atmospheric yard. And breakfast is just top class. Sodermalm district has amazing atmosphere and offers wonderful opportunities for lovely, non touristic walks. I highly recommend Nofo.

"Amazing hotel near Gamla Stan, excellent breakfast, fantastic courtyard, friendly staff"
Claudia R, 24 Juin 2019

The NOFO hotel exceeded our expectations. It is about 10 minutes walk from Gamla Stan. The great courtyard of the hotel where you can also enjoy the breakfast is unique. The breakfast was excellent. If you want to eat in peace you should go there before 9:00 clock, because it could be a bit crowded afterwards. The interior of the hotel and the rooms is very nice! Everything was very clean. A small bathroom but with everything you need. The staff attentive and especially friendly. Also, the wine bar of the hotel is very recommended. All in all if you are traveling to Stockholm you should choose this hotel. We'll be back for sure.

"NoFo has personality and great staff"
Bots927, 23 Juin 2019

I like to travel and try to stay at a variety of accommodations when I visit a new country. We stayed at NoFo at the end of our trip, when we were a little tired. The rooms are well-appointed, with windows open to allow you to take advantage of the evening breeze. Check in and out were seamless. The hotel decor is trendy and fun. There are interesting and convenient common sitting rooms and balconies where you can relax with friends (see photo - I was enjoying the sun). Do go visit the other floors, each has its own decor. The restaurant has a short but excellent menu, and the bar is beyond complete and offers very tasty mixed drinks. Do try the local rhubarb gin; I wish I had brought some home with me. We abandoned our t.rex masks in our room) shopping took up space in our bags) and hope someone got some more fun with them. NoFo is located in a nice neighborhood filled with little restaurants and bars, and is a short walk to the subway. We parked in their nearby garage, making return to the airport easy. Staff was very helpful during our stay, giving good recommendations, calling cabs, and giving us maps of the neighborhood. If I return to Stockholm, I'll return to NoFo.

"Love love love this hotel!!!"
birketts2018, 06 Juin 2019

I stayed at the hotel whilst i was in Sweden on a work trip and fell in love with this place. It's so unique - nothing like any hotel that ive stayed in before. The decor is very quirky. Outdoor area to sit is great in the evening and away from the road so nice a quiet. I feared the hotel was going to be noisy when i first arrived but i had the best nights sleep ive ever had in hotel. No noise at all! The bed and pillows were perfect. The only reason it hasn't got a 5* is it is quite dimly lit and i prefer it a bit brighter. I also kept tripping over the ledge that was across the floor in the bedroom between room and hallway. Food was excellent - staff were all super friendly.

"Nice hotel in a trendy location"
Ricardo A, 27 Mai 2019

NOFO Hotel & Wine Bar is a very comfortable, boutique-style hotel in a neighborhood very close to historic Gamla Stan, adjacent to a beautiful park where Katarina church stands on a hill. It has a Brooklyn feel to it, complete with nearby waterfront with old buildings warehouses and factories being repurposed into museums, cafes, restaurants, offices and residences (do not miss Fotograkiska). Great breakfast and excellent service. Family friendly. Definitely recommend.

"Beautiful little hotel with lovely staff"
GourmandGalway, 27 Mai 2019

I have stayed here a couple of times and I love the staff, the fact that there is a good restaurant on site and the breakfasts are brilliant. It is near a metro which adds to its ease of location, only a couple of stops from T-centralen. My room was small but had everything I needed.

"Good rooms - superb service"
LAtraveller19, 21 Mai 2019

Although I stayed in a smallish room, it was comfortable and well designed. But the supportive and exceptionally knowledgeable staff make NOFO worth 5 stars. I asked about restaurants, boat tours, trips to the islands, museums and public transport- they had the best recommendations for each! I would stay again.

"Lovely hotel insulting management"
novaking, 16 Mai 2019

Lovely hotel but shame about the unfoubded allegatuon of theft................. I was very insulted and the fact management rang my wife over drinks other people did not pay for despite the money we spent at the hotel over the few days. Awful awful customer experience.

"Beautiful hotel, excellent service"
Tourist24311329960, 06 Mai 2019

We loved the Nofo in Sodermalm, Stockholm. It was ideally placed for the the trendy bars, cafes and restaurants in the Sodermalm area, and very close to the metro to access the rest of the city. The hotel's design is stunning: sophisticated fabrics, colours and furniture have been used throughout the building, including details in the often forgotten areas like landings and corridors. The quality of the food and wine served in the wine bar and at breakfast was very good. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the staff worked tirelessly to tidy used crockery and replenish breakfast items. The bedroom we had was very small, but well thought out and well appointed for the space there was. The bed was comfy and the view over the park at the back of the hotel was unexpected. The shower room was small and I'm not a fan of shower curtains, but at least this one was very clean! The basin was hard to use as it wasn't very deep and there was a shelf above it so it was difficult to get your head over it, but that's a minor issue, we managed! Overall, really impressed with this hotel

"Wonderful Stockholm"
Scenic33965609617, 26 Février 2019

Wonderful hotel in Soderhalm district that has great restaurants and bars all in walking distance. We took the suite which even had its own sauna! Very quiet and very comfortable. The kids had bedroom and adults sofa bed but it was like a real bed. Breakfasts very copious and I enjoyed a wicked Porridge daily.

"Good hotel but in wrong spot for tourists "
260francinea, 08 Février 2019

Incredibly cool hipster style character design but whilst room size is okay it is very compartmentalised being a historical older building and we thought the hotel location was not so suitable for tourists (maybe some will think this a positive but not us) with mostly pubs and bars nearby as opposed to any city landmarks or attractions. At the time of our visit renovations were underway, which are still needed in the rooms' bathrooms but caused minor disruption as the hotel wine bar had a limited pizza and charcuterie only menu - in fairness we were pre notified at time of booking. A few simple alternative restaurant options are within easy walking distance. Breakfast spread was good especially inclusive of gluten free and lactose free choices.

"Cozy and Elegant with a great wine bar"
jslater0973, 07 Février 2019

This boutique hotel is perfectly situated in the Bohemian area of Stockholm, Södermalm', an area rated as one of the best in the World. The room we had (tip - 209) was quoted as the most favourite by guests and we can understand why - a good size, a very comfortable king-size bed, well stocked mini-bar and an amazing and large bathroom with a separate 'waterfall' shower as well as a bathtub. The lighting was super and elegant and the TV was a 65" LG smart TV. The room was spotlessly clean and is in their 'Soho' themed area and suited us perfectly :) The staff were very professional, polite and also kind with a sense that they are really there to help your stay be as best as it can be. The hotel is smaller compared to some of the chain hotels, but that also means it is more exclusive, not so stressy, and gives a calm stay. The Wine Bar is well stocked and the sommelier excellent. Can't wait to stay there in the summer - when the wine bar also has outside seating. Overall, a hotel to enjoy and relax in its calm elegance, yet in the middle of Stockholm.

"Worthy of praise"
KimmoS92, 04 Février 2019

This was a lovely hotel! We have stayed in many hotels in Stockholm over the years, and this is really the best so far. The staff was very friendly and the service overall excellent. Plentiful and varied breakfast, with great gluten-free options. The location in Södermalm is great with just a few minute walk from the metro, yet still very quiet and with wonderful views to the park. Our flight was canceled, so we got to stay an extra night in a different room. Both rooms were quirky, but in a good way. The rooms were maybe a bit small, but we could live with that. Warmly recommended!

"Nice and cousy"
_stephan_b_boethius, 20 Janvier 2019

The feel of being home although at a hotel, no overkill anywhere just nic and welcoming. From from front desk, stair, corridors to the facilities all is relaxed and personally in a nice way. Really comfortable bed and breakfast, would rate this stay higher if it wasn't for the noisy snow scraping early morning.

"Cute boutique hotel in great neighbourhood "
NayLS, 19 Janvier 2019

This boutique hotel was such a nice surprise! Our room was small, but the bathroom was a great size. It was very clean, very comfortable and well appointed. Our room was 60's Carnaby Street themed, which was just awesome! The buffet breakfast was among the best I've had at any hotel anywhere! I almost didn't want to leave for that reason alone :-) The hotel is located in Södermalm, where there are lots of great cafes and eateries. It is also within easy walking distance of Gamla Stan and other attractions in Stockholm.

"Very good value and excellent service."
Gilberto Z, 11 Janvier 2019

The hotel has very good value and great location. Small hotel with lots of personality. Everyone I met were extremely nice and hospitable. One thing that really made my stay is, that at the restaurant the server went out of his way to serve me what I asked for, even if it wasn't in the menu. Overall a great straight forward experience.

"Great boutique hotel in Sodermalm"
claudiamgold, 05 Janvier 2019

My boyfriend and I stayed at NOFO hotel for eight nights and got to know it well, so I feel a review is in order. Overall we really enjoyed the experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well designed, with good attention to details, such as doors that open automatically (very nice when it's freezing out and you don't want to take your hands out of your pockets!). The location is fantastic, with cool bars and restaurants all around and a subway station two blocks away. The rooms were very nice and comfortable, though maybe a bit small for eight nights (and we were in a comfort room). The shower was fantastic with good pressure and nice and hot, and the towel warmers were a nice touch. The rooms were also warm enough despite the cold weather outside. It would have been nice to have some drawers to put our clothes away and more closet hanging space, because with winter jackets etc over eight days it got somewhat hectic in there. Our room overlooked a cemetery, which was pretty and covered in snow, and it was nice to watch the families come visit on Christmas Day and leave flowers. Breakfast was great. It was an extensive variety and I didn't get tired of it even after eight days in a row. I loved the berry compote, the bacon, the hard boiled eggs with mayo, and the cereal bar. Just a few very small suggestions to make it even better. The scrambled eggs were inconsistent and a bit watery, and got cold from sitting out. The coffee could be improved (I believe it was robusta coffee). It could be nice to feature one of the local coffee roasters. Also we noticed that the cereal bowls were dirty several days in a row, probably my biggest reason for the 4 star review instead of 5. Great gluten-free and lactose-free options, including gluten-free cereal and bread, and lactose-free yogurt. There's also soy milk. Overall it was a very good experience and we would happily stay here again.

"Birthday trip "
rebeccastacey1997, 09 Décembre 2018

Went to Sweden for my 21st bday with my boyfriend and we stayed at the NOFO hotel. I'll keep it short and sweet otherwise I'll be here all night. It was fantastic, the rooms were huge and so were the beds. The rooms were very clean and had lots of storage to put your things away. The breakfast was a buffet style thing and it was all amazing. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. When we go back we will definitely be booking here again. It's a good distance from all the attractions and is easy to get to from the airport.

"For non A4 lovers"
Survivory, 25 Novembre 2018

A great place full of personality. I tend to prefer hotels where you do not have 200 room the look exactly the same - and this for sure is one of them. Currently under renovation, our room had recently had a face lift so it was very nice. Comfortable beds, nice couch to sit in. Super friendly service. Breakfast with plenty of options (limited seating at times, so a good tip is to get there early). Very convenient location, close to public transportation. A bit narrow corridors which may be an issue if you are not 100% mobile and fit to walk in stairs. We had a pretty small bathroom, which I guess comes from this being a house that was not built as a hotel in the first place. But that is really the only thing that was not super with our stay. Will happily come back. (In the summer time when the court yard is open for sure).

"Quite ok, but there are plenty of them in STO"
258harrik, 07 Octobre 2018

Bit of a boutique hotel at lively Södermalm. Partly under construction. Service was partly very pleasent, partly standard. Breakfast was very good with variety of non standard items. Interior (on the side we were) french cabaret style. Room was quite cold and no way to increase the heat. Not too good lighting in the room (not even if the one broken bulb of the lamp in the ceiling gets fixed). Maybe deliberate to go with the Paris back alley theme. Pre-bookable parking space in the near-by garage very very narrow, forget sqeezing your Range Rover to it, unless you're able to climb out of the car's window. Volvo V40 barely fit. Entre at the small innergård, which could be nice place to sit in the summer. All in all, pretty much what I expected, didn't blow my mind, but served the purpose well

"Best hotel in best location"
Mr L, 29 Septembre 2018

Located on the hill of Sodermalm, where the restaurants and bars offer a huge range of options, the Nofo hotel (currently undergoing a refurb, but still open) is only a 15-20 minute walk from Gamla Stan (the old quarter) or 5 minutes from the nearest tube station. The hotel itself has a really relaxed vibe - staff are friendly and there are a sequence of 4 seating areas where guests can sit downstairs and enjoy a drink/some food. Breakfasts at the hotel are worth the money - huge selection of healthy, hot and other options all with variety of teas, coffees and juices. Excellent way to set yourselves up before walking along the waterfront during the day. The rooms are clean and certainly a good size (ours was on the first floor), with en suites and although in a central location there was little noise either from outside the hotel or from other guests going to-and-fro. Staff (3 different receptionists) were really helpful and keen to help. For those not trying to bluff it through in Swedish (I tried a bit but failed), their range of languages is good and their English is flawless. We'd certainly consider going back again and staying at the hotel.

"Great Experience!"
FightOnTrojans5, 21 Septembre 2018

While this hotel can be a little confusing to find, once you walk through the courtyard and walk in, you're going to love it. No, there is no elevator or lift and you'll have to walk up & down the stairs everything. Yes, the rooms are small and the bathrooms are smaller. But this hotel, for the price point, service, breakfast and location is perfect. You can walk to several train stops with plenty of restaurants and nightlife in the area. If you're a solo traveler, you will love this place!

"Loved the hotel"
Marlis0707, 02 Septembre 2018

Was impressed as soon as we entered the courtyard, great atmosphere. My room was on the second floor, unfortunately no lift, but beautiful decorated staircase and kept me exercised. Loved the deco of my room, had a great window seat with brilliant patterned cushions overlooking the leafy graveyard, which was very peaceful. Small on suite bathroom, which was sufficient for all needs. Fantastic breakfast so much choice, absolutely excellent, really enjoyed all the different things. There was plenty of places to eat and it could be taken out to the lovely courtyard and to be enjoyed in a peaceful atmosphere. We stayed for 4 days and one night we stayed there for dinner, I had a great pizza. The location is prefect very close to the subway station and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Stayed in 3 different towns in Scandinavia, but this hotel comes up tops. Highly recommended!!!!

"Nice hotel - not on business"
AtlasPinwheel, 15 Août 2018

For quick readers: - Nice decadent atmosphere - Beautiful interior especially at the bar - Very tiny bathroom (acutally wet-room) no shower box, just curtain - Dusty old furniture - Nice Garden with table - Delicious breakfast - Not for Business travellers - Excellent Staff - Great Location for Soder The room I had was very old, very fascinating decoration, but completely unpractical. There was no shower box, but just a curtain, so morning shower will make a mess all over your bathroom. Hotel is currently under renovation (so it may improve in the next few months. Delicious full complete breakfast Currently I would not come back here as it feels somehow not convenient. Room cleanliness could also be improved especially because very old curtains and bed header collect a lot of dust and need strong cleaning.

"Perfect stay"
supaberri, 07 Août 2018

I was stayed in one of the single rooms at the back of the hotel facing a graveyard - although to be fair it is actually a very peaceful park area. The single room is typical of rooms in Stockholm and is small with a single bed and narrow ensuite which might be problematic for anyone preferring a bit extra space. That said the bed is comfortable and the room is clean with the usual tea/coffee facilities, iron, hairdryer, safe and minibar available. The breakfast is a wide ranging buffet which was plentiful and tasty and should suit most people's preferences. The hotel has a lovely courtyard area where you can relax after a day's sightseeing and order a drink at the bar. The staff are very friendly and courteous. They were able to lend me a phone charger for my stay as I had forgotten my adapter plug. Much appreciated. The hotel is located in the trendy sodermalm area close to plenty of restaurants and bars and short walking distance to the tunnelbana. I have can think of no negatives about this hotel (maybe the small dimensions of the room but that is common in Stockholm city) and really enjoyed my stay. I really look forward to hopefully paying a return visit in the future.

"The best Hotel in Stockholm"
Magbudda, 06 Août 2018

Everything about. this hotel is beautiful and understated luxe.....from the entrance garden to reception to your room to your breakfast, most outstanding features are the garden, feels like you are a million miles from the middle of the city and the breakfast is the very best , hot and cold which is unusal for Sweden, which can be indulged in the garden. I have now stayed here quite a few times and it never disappoints...feels like coming home

"Great Potential...After Construction!"
CharlieOrlando, 05 Août 2018

We stayed at the Nofo three times in one week as we popped in and out of Stockholm, staying in different rooms each time. As of August 2018, there is significant construction going on, but only in one of the rooms did it adversely impact our stay. The great things about the hotel are the location, the breakfast, the patio and many of the staff. The neighborhood is wonderful, full of restaurants and boutique shops with easy access to the subway. We had one room overlooking the wine bar patio, which was a bit noisy; one room overlooking the cemetery, which was really pleasant; and one night in a Junior Suite which was adversely impacted by the construction. We upgraded to this this Suite since it was our last night but in the end felt the other two rooms were better- certainly a better value. The suite was a suite, but the windows were (are) covered in dirty, dust encrusted plastic. You can “open” the window, but the plastic is right there, so in reality, you can't. It was warm in Stockholm while we were there, so no AC combined with the dust creeping in from the construction, my wife and I both woke up with scratchy, dust covered, throats! We really should have been warned and either offered to take a standard room, or a discount. The construction won't last forever and the hotel will be even better when it is over, but they really should make some allowances or at least proved full disclosure upon checking in while it is ongoing.

"Nice hotel in Sodermalm"
Zach U, 19 Juillet 2018

We stayed 3 nights in Stockholm and decided to stay in Sodermalm as it is a younger area of town. The location of the hotel is incredibly convenient to the nearest subway station, maybe a 3 minute walk. From the subway you are one stop away from the Slussen station, which can connect you just about anywhere. Around the hotel there is ample shopping, eating, and drinking. We found numerous restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk that were wonderful. The hotel itself was nicely appointed. Even though it was undergoing renovations you could hardly tell. Our room was nice, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was a very impressive spread, with just about everything you could want. Truly a great experience, we would definitely stay here again when we are in Stockholm.

"Great location; Excellent staff; clean lodging"
Steven C, 10 Juillet 2018

Though roughly enjoyed stay at Nofo. Even with construction going on it was very enjoyable. Only qualm is that there was no air conditioning in our room and it was very hot during the day. At night we had to leave the windows open which provided fresh air but also lots of chirping from birds who appear never to sleep. Breakfast was excellent.

"Stylish design and brilliant location..."
rosyvalentine, 21 Juin 2018

My brother and Dad stayed for 5 days in June 2018, when they were undergoing renovations so it was a little loud, and the rooms aren't huge - just a little lack of storage - but I'd 100% recommend based on their lovely breakfast and really groovy decor, as well as the proximity to 100s of restaurants around Sodermalm where you can easily have a fancy dinner or just a takeaway.

"Pleasant Stay"
Barry Y, 20 Juin 2018

Prior to our arrival we were notified that building work was happening at the time of our stay. On arrival, we were given an upgrade to an Exec room, i assume our original room was being redecorated. This was a very nice sizeable room with a separate living room. The views over looking the church was quiet and relaxing. All work on the hotel was carried out during the day, whilst we were out, so caused no problems at all. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice. The hotel bar had a decent choice of beer, not just your bog standard macro breweries that you get everywhere else

"Sweden Style "
huetchene, 20 Mai 2018

Very cute Hotel in Södermalm with rooms typically furnished by swedish style. The bed was perfectly comfortable, with on of the best pillows ever had in Hotels. Next to the parquet floor there were some stone floor left in the entrance part, remaining of the old building, nice. Small bathroom but perfectly used and equipped with all you need. Also breakfast was great decorated and lots of things to try. You also can enjoy NOFO as a winebar during the day.

"Great breakfast!"
Katarina K, 05 Avril 2018

(We only came in for breakfast), didn't stay at the hotel) Delicious food, great variety and everything really looked a treat. Decent spread of gluten-free stuff as well. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere in the heart of Södermalm.

"A cozy hotel, you feel at home"
MonikaV1, 04 Avril 2018

We stay on the third floor and our room faced a type of park with an old church, it was beautiful with all the snow. There is currently no lift but the staff help with our suitcases up and down - the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is perfectly located. They are busy with some renovations, but it did not bother us. We enjoy the breakfast (hot and cold, including smoothies and cake), We love the coffee and bought some to take home. The coffee mugs in Sweden don't have ears and it was kind of strange for us. We took the hop-on-off bus and had to walk only a few min to the nearest stop. There are lots of restaurants around. I can recommend the hotel.

"Very good breakfast!"
Sirja J, 27 Février 2018

Staff was very nice and flexible and helped us a lot. Room was clean and beautiful. Breakfast was really good and there were large selection of choises. Unfortunately we stayed in the hotel during construction work so there were some noise in the morning.

"Fun and unusual"
bmay87, 07 Février 2018

I loved this place. Super knowledgeable staff and extremely friendly and casual, who provided excellent recommendations. When you drive up to it, it's in an old building in an alley and you wonder what it's going to be like, but then you walk into the courtyard and it's actually quite homey. Doesn't feel like a hotel, almost actually like you're staying in someone's apartment. Everywhere was very clean and the decorations were funky. Room size and bathroom were small, sure, but that's to be expected in most big cities. Our room looked out the back of a building so we had a view of a nice cemetery and large church. Location is central and a nice neighborhood. Also, the complimentary breakfast every morning is amazing quality.

"Brilliant hotel"
offonmyholssoon, 19 Janvier 2018

Can't praise the place, location, service, cleanliness of this hotel highly enough. Without doubt the best breakfast we have ever had- freshness, choice, healthy options. Totally loved every second of this friendly boutique hotel. Had some amazing meals at local restaurants. Only used public transport to get to and from the airport- just an hour using tunnelbann and bus from central station.hotel just 2 min walk from medjbotden(?? Spelling?? )station on green line which is just 3 stops from central bus station. Hotel was quiet with lots of separate bar/ lounge areas. Quaint 1800s building full of character.room was Well equipped and very clean with comfy bed.price paid is exceptional value.

"Over-rated"
Peripatecian, 05 Janvier 2018

Boutique under construction. Disappointed by this property as it failed to live up to expectations from other reviewers. Rooms are small and bathrooms even smaller. The hotel cleanliness was also questionable, although the last two nights we clearly had a different house keeper which was noticeably better. Breakfast was good.

"Great location, good breakfast, nice facilities"
Marianne M, 29 Novembre 2017

We spent a long weekend at NOFO in November. The hotel itself is lovely, and the room is nice and of a good modern standard. The breakfast was fantastic, with many delicious options. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the location of the hotel, in the quite corner of trendy Sodermalm, within walking distance of everything, was perfect. On the downside, we found the walls to be quite thin, so we heard noise from the hallway. Our room window was facing some sort of recycling area, so from early morning we were awoken with the sound of breaking/crashing glass bottles being thrown away.

"Trendy, Friendly Hotel"
Ben C, 26 Novembre 2017

Stayed at NOFO for two nights in May. Room was on the small side, but as I was travelling solo wasn't too much of a downerm, and based on the website gallery other rooms in the hotel are more spacious so worth checking to find out room type before travel. Location was within a short walk of the Metro, with plenty of shops and bars within easy walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, speaking fluent English better than some of my fellow countrymen. Hotel had a decent breakfast and was comfortable for the most part. I did have to open my room's skylight at night as the room got a little stuffy but otherwise was a great spot for a short stay in a very welcoming, picturesque city.

"Cosy, great hotel"
Sanna V, 21 Novembre 2017

Supernice hotel with excellent breakfast. Quiet and cosy rooms with good beds and pillows. Calm, friendly staff. Breakfast was abundant, vegan options available. They have put effort on catering the breakfast.

"Perfect hotel"
JW-RDAM, 23 Octobre 2017

I booked this hotel because it looked nice. Nice decorated rooms etc. I didn't regret my choice at all! The hotel is located in a trendy neighbourhood (sofo, södermalm) full of bars, restaurants and little shops! In my opinion the best part of Stockholm. However you are not limited to this area. If you like to visit the other nice neighbourhoods of Stockholm you can either walk, everything is neirby or take the metro. There is a metrostation, Medborgarplatsen, nearby (5 min walk). What else? The rooms are indeed nice as shown in the photos (maybe a bit small). The breakfast is perfect. The staff is very friendly!

"Training Course"
robertfE312, 19 Septembre 2017

Very charming 'homely' hotel in central Stockholm. Peaceful, relaxing with excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The staff are hospitable, courteous and very helpful. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet courtyard, but still walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops and public transport. The bedrooms are quiet with minimal noise audible. Watch out for the single rooms thought - some fo them are tiny.

"Good hotel with excellent breakfast"
David T, 13 Septembre 2017

Situated on Sodermalm about 20 mins from the Royal Palace on Gamla Stan. In the back streets so reasonably quiet. Rooms are reasonable price for Stockholm which generally is expensive. Under £200 per night is good! Our room 001 was small and even smaller bathroom. Just enough room to sit on the loo, next to walk in shower and basin. Breakfast really good, both cooked and fruit, cheese, meats, rolls juices etc - no croissants though. Staff helpful. They have a luggage room to leave your stuff in when you check out, so you can collect it later.

"Best hotel breakfast "
EmilyCooper123s, 26 Août 2017

Nice hotel not too far from the centre. Extremely friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and lots of areas to sit outside and in. Best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel by variety, quality and quantity. Absolutely fantastic!

"Great boutique hotel"
Bysmariann, 09 Août 2017

Tucked away in a courtyard and backing onto a churchyard this quirky hotel has some beautiful features and excellent staff. We were lucky to have our rooms upgraded to suites, one of which had a Sauna. Very well appointed rooms with exceptionally comfortable beds. Good location a couple of hundred years from Medborgarplatsen Metro station.

I suppose this is what you'd call a boutique hotel. An old building, fancy decoration, nice location. However no lifts and I'm starting to get to that time of life where I look for the easy way upstairs with a case. Some distance from the central station and the taxi was expensive (not sure if we were particularly ripped off or if it's just Stockholm). Better - in retrospect to use Stockholms Soda or the tube (a good transport system when you get your head around it). The staff are young and helpful. Nice breakfasts. Would go again.

"Cozy hotel/wine bar in a hip neighborhood"
Ashley S, 07 Août 2017

Nofo Hotel has quite a lot to recommend it, including attractively decorated rooms, a very nice breakfast buffet and a nice location in trendy Sodermalm, somewhat away from the more touristy attractions but with plenty of easy access to them on foot or via Stockholm's convenient public transport system. The in-house wine bar and secluded terrace are also a perfect way to end a full day of sightseeing (though the wine is quite expensive, more than in local restaurants), and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. The bed was VERY comfortable with excellent pillows. Potential drawbacks: our standard room was small, and the bathroom was so small that the shower doors had to be folded in toward the wall to allow you to use the toilet. Our room was also on the first floor, and there was both no air conditioning and quite a bit of street noise, prompting a nightly dilemma between quiet and allowing some cool air to get in.

"Perfect boutique styled Hotel in great Location "
Per N, 05 Août 2017

I guess most visitors know that Söder is the Soho of Sthlm. Great indipendent stores for sneakers, jeans and acessories.. Lots of cool bars and restaurants. Heaven for vegetarians and vegans since most of Sthlms raw and vegan spots Are Around This area. Nofo Hotel is Located in a very quite part of Söder Next to a park. It feels like a great mix in between an airbnb Apartment and a luxury Hotel room. The building is Old and and has a residential feel to It. Rooms Are nicely remodeled and furnished. Scandi Meets Miami in some sort of way.. If that's possible. For me this Hotel ticks all the boxes. 48 rooms and super friendly staff. Feel like home. Feel like a local.

"Special hotel, pictures don't do it justice"
DavidP6207, 31 Juillet 2017

This was a highlight of our baltic states driving holiday. Initially not much from the outside until you enter the courtyard, then you see the bargain that you've booked, just lovely with a great quiet vibe. Reception staff were lovely then you get to your room - we were given a stunning room which had a private area off the main area for wardrobe/dressing and 2 bunks. The bathroom had a great shower. This hotel is spectacular, nice and quiet but a short walk from local shopping and great bars for food etc. We selected it as we had an early ferry to catch, but will use as a base when we visit Stockholm again

"Nofo?? YESFO!!"
irishdeelish, 29 Juillet 2017

This hotel is fabulous. We usually like to be in the centre of all the action so we wondered how sensible it was to stay outwith Gamla Stan. Once we had time to explore Stockholm we were delighted with our decision to stay in Nofo which is located in trendy Södermalm. Gamma Stan is nice but it is heaving with tourists and not necessarily the most authentic Swedish experience. Södermalm is full of shops, bars, restaurants and locals and has plenty of buzz without being too much. Nofo is only a five minute walk away from Medborgarplatsen metro station so you can whizz around the rest of Stockholm in no time at all. It was definitely 10/10 for location. We arrived at the hotel at 1am but we still received a friendly welcome and we were checked in and standing in our fabulously stylish room before we knew it. There was everything we could possibly need - iron and ironing board, safe, plenty of space to store clothes and luggage, tea and coffee making facilities and mini bar. We sank into our sumptuously comfortable bed and had a peaceful nights sleep. So service and room were as good as location. Breakfast was outstanding - so much choice and everything was fresh and beautifully presented. We wanted for nothing and eagerly anticipated our feast each morning. Breakfast was as faultless as everything else about the hotel. Nofo was perfect, quite possibly one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. We wouldn't stay anywhere else if we are lucky enough to visit beautiful Stockholm again.

"This place was so fabulous"
accarch23, 13 Juillet 2017

When you arrive you may feel some trepidation; the entrance is underwhelming, but once you get inside, this place is magical. The public spaces are fun, idiosyncratic, and charming; the courtyard in the sun is so peaceful and accommodating, and the rooms (we had a small suite) are beautiful, restful and calm. Sodermalm, which I call the Brooklyn of Stockholm, is buzzing with great stores and restaurants, interesting bars and even more interesting people, and this hotel is at the heart of it all. The breakfasts are amazingly good, and the ability to take your plate outside and eat under the trees in the courtyard is a real plus. All kinds of travelers are here; hipsters, rock stars, young families, older guests, you name it, Everyone is made to feel so welcome and the staff is absolutely charming and totally helpful. I am looking for an excuse to come back to Stockholm soon so I can stay here !

"Perfect hosts"
KerryDiamond, 08 Juillet 2017

We stayed st the start and at the end of our midsummer break in Sweden. They were very helpful in advising on transport from the airport and to be honest it's easier and marginally cheaper to take a taxi door to door if you are 2 or more. It was well located and close to some good restaurants. On our return we were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite- amazing experience after 3 days in the wild without electricity!! We would definitely recommend this hotel - staff are very helpful and breakfast was spot on perfectly presented and seating meant you got to know other guests

"Great Hostel and Hotel"
Rwanda17, 05 Juillet 2017

We stayed here only two night on our way home from Russia. We had a double room with bath and shower. The staff is very helpful. Their wine tasting bar is a fun place. The location is centrally located and only a 10-15 minute walk to Gamla Stan old town

"Clean and quiet boutique hotel"
RodSnyderWV, 01 Juillet 2017

Our group of three friends stayed at the Nofo Hotel for two nights during a recent visit to Stockholm. We loved this hotel. It's located in the trendy Sodermalm neighborhood but sits on a quiet side street, so there is no traffic noise. There's a lovely courtyard, which is a perfect place to relax when the weather is nice. We made a mistake when we booked our room and had only requested a double. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helped us upgrade to a larger room upon checkin. We ate a light dinner in the restaurant on our final night, and while the menu is very limited, the food was delicious. I would certainly stay here again!

"No elevator, but I loved this quirky hotel (and its location)"
MatthewMoggridge, 25 Juin 2017

I always try not to use a taxi when I travel abroad, so when I arrived at Stockholms södra (or Stockholm South) I followed my own sense of direction and walked to the NOFO Hotel, having already taken a train from Arlanda Airport. If you're going to do this, beware: the journey from Uppsala station is very expensive, so instead take a short bus journey, the 583 – no more than 15 minutes – to Marsta and go direct to Stockholms södra, it takes about 30 minutes. From Stockholms södra it's no more than 10 minutes on foot: you come out of the station's main exit and go straight across the street and keep walking until you reach a kind of square. Cross the road and then bear right and take the first road you see that is effectively a left turn, but basically you're still moving roughly straight ahead from the station and you'll find the hotel on your left. It's a quirky place. There's a lovely secluded courtyard (perfect on a warm, sunny day) and then there's the hotel reception area, which is dark and cosy and perfect. Check-in was easy and I was given room 315, a tiny room with a single bed where, I'll be honest, it would have been impossible to swing a cat. It was, however, a very small ‘apartment' in a sense with a bedroom and a bathroom. I must point out that the NOFO Hotel used to be the Columbus Hotel, but it's also been a brewery and once served as a barracks for the city guard. It's also listed, which means there is no elevator and you have to walk. Fine if you're able-bodied, but if not see if they have rooms on the ground floor or, at the very least, on the first (depending on how immobile you are). The room was small, but it was fine. It had a flatscreen television on the wall opposite the single bed, a small desk on which I could rest my lap top and a few hooks with coat hangers instead of a wardrobe. Not a problem for me, but it might be for others, but then I expect they give their single rooms to lone travellers like me; there are ‘proper rooms' and judging by the quirkiness of the hotel, they're probably pretty cool. I slept well, which was good, and the only downside I could think of was the view from the Velux window of tree tops and sky – not that good in other words, but this isn't a complaint as most of the so-called ‘views' from the hotels I've stayed in have been poor (buildings) so swaying tree tops and blue sky is nice and surreal. One big complaint: the shower in the bathroom, I couldn't get hot water on day one and on day two I got it but only after considerable faffing around, which annoyed me. It might have been me, but it's rare that I don't get a hot shower in the morning. Room 315 is right on the stairs so there's a very real possibility of falling out of the room, tripping on the stairs and ending up in a crumpled mess on the landing. Fortunately, it didn't happen, but it could have. So, on to breakfast: very good – a wide selection of ‘stuff' hot and cold. What baffled me was the tea situation. There were teabags, but they were empty. The deal was that guests filled their own teabags with the leaf tea provided in glass jars. Call me an idiot, but I couldn't figure it out on day one; it was only on day two when I saw another guest with what looked like paper tissues dipped in a mug of hot water that I finally clicked. Unfortunately, it meant that I didn't have tea for breakfast, just very strong, black coffee. Again, it wasn't a problem. It is possible to eat at the NOFO, but I got the impression that the food was light and designed to accompany the wine, for which the hotel has a reputation. There are, however, some extremely decent restaurants nearby and the receptionist will recommend them to you. I enjoyed Bistroteket and Bistro Boheme. The area in which the hotel is located, Södermalm, is a pretty laid back and quiet part of Stockholm, which is perfect for me; add a decent and quirky hotel like the NOFO and it's heavenly. I would definitely return, but I might ask for lessons in how to work that shower, unless it was a problem specific to room 315.

"Unbelievably cosy city hotel"
Sanna A, 24 Juin 2017

We stayed only for one night, to celebrate Midsummer in Stockholm. We couldn't have ended up at a more perfect place to stay at. We walked from the Central Station, took about 20-30mins, which is nice to be able to walk straight through "old town" and to grab some snacks along the way. It's close to pretty much everything, and its nicely hidden away with its own court yard, with greenery and plenty of seating out front. The staff welcoming us was very polite and helpful, giving all the proper information about the hotel and everything they have to offer, such as the impressive breakfast and a wine bar. The room was super cute and, modern swedish, so traditional and cosy! Walking down the hallway to our room was impressive we thought, wooden floors with oriental rugs spaced out and modern poster/paintings on the walls. This is for sure not one of those cookie cutter hotels with no personality! The bed was super soft ( and you'll get 2 huge fluffy pillows ) needless to say we slept like royalty. The bathroom was also spacious and cute and the fixtures very nice. We also had a view of greenery from the huge window that you actually fit to sit in. All and all it was a great hotel as there's nothing to complain about, not the price, nothing. Whenever we will go to Stockholm again, this will be our choice to stay at. Hope you guys will enjoy it as much as we did!

"Excellent breakfast"
poppykia, 24 Juin 2017

Stayed at this hotel for a short stay in Stockholm. Small but very comfortable rooms. Lovely helpful staff who were only too happy to book taxis or arrange restaurant booking. Fabulous breakfast but most important catered for gluten and lactose intolerance. The best breakfast I have had in ages!!

"Fantastic breakfast. Friendly staff. Cosy atmosphere. Room only ok."
WeLoveSydney, 21 Juin 2017

The room was ok. Not as vibrant as presented on photos. Worn carpets. Interior felt slightly boring. Shower compartment was missing a shelf to place products etc. Breakfast, staff & atmosphere make this hotel still worth a visit.

"Unique, friendly hotel"
swissfraser, 19 Juin 2017

Great hotel and a nice change from the more typical chain hotels. The rooms were small but have everything you need. Amazing breakfasts and very helpful and friendly staff. 2 minutes walk to the subway.

"Great location on Sodermalm"
Debo2707, 18 Juin 2017

Lovely little hotel in a great location. Handy for the T Bana, Fotografiska and a great selection of bars and restaurants. The breakfast choice is excellent. The rooms are small (but as you would expect for a City Centre) and the room we had was not suitable for less mobile customers. Would recommend especially for guests who like nightlife.

"Wonderful Boutique Hotel"
hjhoosier, 13 Juin 2017

First, this hotel is located about .3 mile from the T stop Medborgarplatsen. And it's pretty much a straight shot, turning off of the main road on the next block to reach the hotel's street. When I first saw the sign for the hotel, I was a bit disappointed thinking I chose a hotel that was not worthy of being 4-stars. But as I entered the lobby I was pleasantly surprised by the quaint feeling and old-world charm. The rooms were even more impressive, decorated with a Copenhagen bicycle motif and a mix of modern accents and old world trim, doors, flooring, etc. The bathroom was generously sized for Swedish standards as was the room (I had two twin beds). Now, for the hotel itself, they offered a wonderful breakfast (included in room rate) each morning full of traditional Swedish delights, and at night turned the lobby area into a wine bar. They even have a nice courtyard with patio tables/chairs for your enjoyment while drinking a bottle of wine. I would definitely recommend this hotel and next time I am in Stockholm I will be staying here again. One word of caution - there is no elevator in the hotel, although the staff will help you with your luggage if needed.

"Peaceful yet lovely "
Claire T, 03 Juin 2017

We stayed here for 3 nights, tucked away in a courtyard is this lovely hotel. As it's slightly tucked away it was so peaceful but at the same time is central to many bars and restaurants plus the metro Rooms were not air conditioned but even though it was warm it was fine with the windows open Staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast had a good selection and plenty of it Would recommend this hotel to others

"Comfortable hotel with great decor"
lisajacobson, 29 Mai 2017

Great location, staff, breakfast (incredible!), and modern decor in rooms and throughout hotel. Highly recommended. Typical smaller European bathroom but had everything you'd need. Great neighborhood to stay in in Stockholm - very walkable and the bus and subway are within spitting distance. Even though in the middle of the city, quiet for sleeping at night.

"A very nice hotel in the south main part of Stockholm."
Lars S, 23 Mai 2017

The location of this hotel is one of the best I have stayed in when being in Stockholm. Calm. No traffic and my room was located with a view of the cemitary. I like cemitaries, so what could be an issues for some is not an issue for me. I did not use the bar but several people did. And they seemed to enjoy it.

"Nice hotel near Medborgarplatsen"
Mattias A, 05 Mars 2017

Nice hotel in Sofo, sorry Nofo. Great location, friendly staff, clean (except for the window setback), tasty breakfast with enough choices, nice view if you like cemeteries and I do. If you enjoy space try a double room. The only minus is the lack of information that you have to grab bathroom accessories down stairs.

"Home Away from Home in Stockholm"
Aidel K, 17 Janvier 2017

Stayed with a group of friends in the third floor loft (hostel). It was a wonderful experience; the accommodations were clean, the staff was incredible and accommodating and the vibe was great. We planned to stay one night but after out plans fell through we returned straight to NOFO. They offer late check-out and luggage storage so it was easy to schedule our stay in the most convenient way possible.

"Long and pleasant stay at Nofo"
DrAlbatross, 30 Décembre 2016

I had a long stay here for several weeks this December. It really is a lovely hotel, that falls neatly in the "boutique" category. In the middle of the Södermalm district, and if you like vibrancy and are not familiar with Stockholm this really is the area to stay for restaurants, coffee shops, and people atmosphere. Upmarket hipsters abound, sporting uber stylish beardage. And many a great bar (Oh man, try the Himlan skybar for an exey cocktail and stunning view - will write about that too). Unless you prefer a far more touristy setting, olde-worlde charm, and strings of souvenir shops, in which case go for the old town (Gamla Stan). Anyway, back to Nofo, only a 3 min walk from the underground station (Medborgarplatsen). Breakies are good. Staff friendly. The rooms are varied in decor (hence boutique), and whereas I started off in one at the top of the building, which was a little cramped and the decor was simple (think Ikea), I then moved to a very plush room lower down, which ticked all the boxes. Loved it. I agree with other Tripadvisors' about the (apparently new decision) for lack of bathroom pampering accessories. A single pump dispenser soap. Not a great call - felt budget not boutique. These little things count in boutique hotels, especially when you are paying a boutique hotel price. Also a tad stingy on the pillows (a single person staying = 1 pillow). But these are minor points. Still a good find. Would stay again. Oh, almost forgot - they don't do much in the way of dining (bar breakfast), though personally I prefer not to eat in hotels, and this is certainly a place where exploring is key, and plenty of great and varied restaurants to choose from.

"Nice and cosy"
Megumi H, 29 Décembre 2016

We stayed a night because our flight was delayed and we missed our ferry connection. I chose this hotel because it was close to the terminal, but this turned out to be my kind of hotel. The reception and breakfast area was all wood, nice and cosy. Room was small but tastefully decorated. We arrived late and the kitchen was closed, but they kindly fixed us some sandwiches. We had to leave early in the morning, so they offered to come early for the breakfast at 6 am for most of the things are ready. The breakfast, even without hot dishes, was one of the best I have had in an European hotel. The wine celler looked attractive, too. Could have stayed longer.

"Loved the charm and location"
bearclan04, 26 Décembre 2016

Had 3 nights recently in a Superior double room that was actually a one bedroom suite which was a lovely surprise, as we were travelling with our daughter so she had the lounge area to herself to sleep in (double sofa bed). Great location, surrounded by lots of restaurants and just a short walk to the TBana and buses. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice and delicious. The hotel is full of charm and history. Would definitely stay again!

"Nice but....."
prestijacopo, 16 Novembre 2016

No doubt that the hotel looks cool and it's in a nice location. The breakfast is also good and the wine bar it's nice.......BUT and these are not small "but" if you ask me: I was given a room so small i had to put my luggage (a normal suitcase) on my bed and sleep with her, they no longer (apparently new policy) offer toiletries in all the rooms so make sure you check or bring your own. Sorry but i won't be coming back p.s.: no elevator.....

"Amazing Breakfast!"
Rachael R, 25 Octobre 2016

Breakfast buffet was UNREAL!!! Yum. We got a lovely twin room with private bathroom (thought we'd have to share but didn't have to) Great location! Really close to tram and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

"Good for Business"
darksasy83, 28 Septembre 2016

I stayed at this hotel for business trip. Position: very good! Close the city center and not so far from a Metro Station Rooms: not so big, I always booked a double room single use but they gave me a single room. It's not a problem because they are really well cleaned. Breakfast: good, with a lot of food. Reception: very available and helpful. WiFi Connection: free but the quality could be better

"Good location in Södermalm, but slightly overpriced (hostel section, 3rd floor)"
dustygianni, 29 Août 2016

Positive: - Location (Södermalm). - Quiet (only form outside noise, as most rooms face an inner yard). One facade of NOFO is directly opposite a glass recycle station which seems to be used 24/7... - Wine bar that serves as well quite a wide range of locally brewed beers. Negative: - Value for the money: For the same price you can get your own toilet/shower with more space in a similar centrally located hotel in Stockholm. - Noise insulation from the inside (hostel, 3rd floor). Through the very thin wooden room doors one can basically hear EVERYTHING that is going on in the hallway (in particular the doors of the other rooms falling in the lock...). I would label this particular inconvenience unacceptable for the price range. - Be aware that If you book the "cheaper" hostel option on the 3rd floor, you end up with shared bathroom/toilet facilities. - Breakfast is not included in the price for the night (165 SEK / approx. 18 Euros / approx. 20 US-$ per person extra). - No washing basin in your room (hostel, 3rd floor). Even if you want to brush your teeth or quickly wash your face, you have to use the shared facilities. - No elevator. Even if building an elevator is not possible, there are other alternatives to help guests getting their (heavy) luggage to one of the 3 floors (be creative!).

"Breakfast is amazingly good"
sonialovestotravel, 29 Août 2016

My friend and I stayed here the end of July beginning of August. The hotel is in a very old building that was originally some sort of stables. It has a very large/expansive courtyard complete with several very large heavily fruiting cherry trees with several tables and chairs for the guests. The staff are very friendly which is always helpful. The rooms are quaint and sort of old worldly with a retro feel, not super large but certainly large enough and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms have fridges, and tea making facilities. Wifi is included and the reception is good. The bathroom is very clean and roomy. The highlight is the breakfast, a most delightful smorgasbord including all sorts of meats, cheeses, eggs filled with seafood and topped with dill and all sorts of breads and cereals including yogurts and fruit. Don't miss the mixed berry comport that they make from cherries, blueberries and vine berries as it is absolutely delicious and not to sweet....you'll be back for seconds! The breakfast seating area is pleasant again with a quirky lavish retro feel. The area is interesting and the station is very close. I certainly give this hotel my tick of approval.

"Just perfect!"
Johnm0773, 27 Août 2016

Great, quirky hotel in a very convenient location. Ideal for walking to local restaurants and bars. Great courtyard for enjoying a glass of wine. Nice staff. Parking over the road in an underground car park. Free wifi which was very good. Breakfast selection is excellent. Would stay here again.

"NoFo / SoFo – perfect place to stay!"
UndaNijntje, 25 Août 2016

Chose this hotel for its location and the information found in Tripadvisor – and was very pleased as it was exactly what I was looking for: Special atmosphere of an old building in nice surroundings, spacious room with wonderful view to a park. Second floor without a lift means some steps to climb but that was no problem for us (me and my 16 years old daughter). Lovely old wooden floors, simple Scandinavian style (reminded me of some visits to Stockholm as a kid), nice bathroom, flat TV screen... The inner courtyard was lovely as it was hot in August in the evening – really enjoyed it after a heavy buffet dinner and plenty of walk in the city… Maybe this is not a hotel for uptight businessmen (easygoing ones, have a go!) or disabled people, but great for you who are bored with standardized chain hotels. And, what always makes a place: The staff is really friendly and helpful, so, absolutely recommended! One suggestion to the hotel management, though: In the bathroom there was next to no place where to put your cosmetics / toiletry bag (only a small rack by the toilet seat); wouldn´t (for instance a glass) shelf fit under the mirror…? Anyway, will return!

"Södermalm silence"
instantserendipity, 15 Août 2016

Cool quaint hotel, tho staff not so experianced. Smell in the bathroom. We considered age of the hotels building. Near to Hermans :), near to Fotografiska, near to Medborgarplatsen, near to Bikram Yoga studio and subway. Great pizza just few streets down.

"Nice and quaint"
AlanUk2012, 04 Août 2016

I stayed in the loft which is the cheaper part of the hotel as in it has shared toilets and showers. So the room was nice, TV is tiny and limited channels. No lift so going up and down 3 flights stairs becomes tedious. Showers and toilets are spotless. Reception are great and helpful ( Nicolas) and a lovely courtyard where you can drink from wine bar. Location is brilliant as central to Soderhalm and near tube. Great experience, I did not have breakfast so no review on that, sorry. View from loft was nice as well.

"A nice experience"
sagKuusankoski, 01 Août 2016

NoFo was a pleasant surprise. A good location, a lovely garden, nice room and a delicious breakfast. The atmosphere was good and the building itself was fascinating. The stairs might be a challenge and some people might miss the air conditioning. We didn't miss anything, just enjoyed our short stay. Would come back anytime.

"Best hostel I've experienced so far"
Doppes, 23 Juillet 2016

Great location, nice rooms, delicious breakfast, friendly staff. Will be coming back to this hostel if I'm ever in Stockholm again. Small annoyance: Your toiletpaper is like a rasp, not nice if you just came back from a week long camping trip in the Swedish wild.

"A very nice place! "
Vera R, 20 Juillet 2016

Loved staying here! After reading some of the reviews I was worried that my room would be a disappointment but it actually was really nice. I booked a single room and the price was quite low compared to others places in Stockholm. The single room was very cozy and there was just enough space for one person aka me :D Why would I need more space if all I want to do after a long day of exploring and walking is to take a shower and go to bed? The bed is really nice and comfortable, by the way. The only problem I faced was the total absence of shelves in the bathroom. But oh well. This didn't spoil the experience. There was a lovely area by the window in my room where I could sit with a cup of tea or munch on some snacks while reading. Oh, most importantly, there was a small kettle in my room, which was great. And also tea bags. Breakfasts were great too! I especially loved their sunflower seed loaf. Also, there was some plant based milk available. Isn't it awesome? I appreciated it very much as a vegan. So... The room was clean and lovely. Nice breakfast. Good location, close to the metro station and Fjällgatan. Very quiet. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Local, personal, supernice hotel in the best area of Stockholm"
LizaM237, 19 Juillet 2016

You can tell right away that it is not run by a big hotel chain. It feels very local and personal. Great localtion on Södermalm with a nice winebar and a very nice inner yard where you can eat and drink. Stayed in a bigger room which was amazing. Great breakfast and nice staff. This is the hotel where I will recommend all my friends to say when in Stockholm, and I am from Stockholm myself :-)

"Nice Little Corner of Stockholm"
BBRebozo, 17 Juillet 2016

The NoFo hotel is a great place to stay in Stockholm. The courtyard is beautiful, and serves as an outdoor wine bar, with the hotel staff pouring and making wine recommendations. You can't beat it on a pleasant Swedish day. There's also a nice little club room for cold and wintery days. The staff was very helpful in every way, providing Stockholm maps and answering questions. The room was fine, if a bit cramped. Not quite small enough to touch opposite walls with both hands, but close. Everything was comfortable and the service was good. Maid service didn't bother us when the "Do Not Disturb" sign was out, but made up the room quickly when we put out the "Please Make Up The Room Now" sign. If there was one thing I'd change about this hotel, it would be to build an elevator. You get to drag your luggage up one or two narrow flights of stairs. I don't think there were any ground floor rooms. But overall, it was a great experience and I'd stay here again.

"Terrible Hostel"
AVC_12, 26 Juin 2016

This is not a good hostel. It's very expensive and ridiculously overpriced. The beds are uncomfortable and the curtains don't block the light, so it is impossible to sleep. I was tired everyday as I was travelling for work. The room was so hot that I had to request a fan. I would never recommend this hostel. Very disappointed. The reviews are very misleading.

"A weekend in Stockholm"
660Patty13, 21 Juin 2016

Great hotel, for all prices and types of rooms, good atmosphere cool and calm. average priced wine and beer for Stockholm. Exceptional choice for breakfast even good scrambled eggs, which is hard to find in a hotel.Very clean throughout, staff very helpful especially Niclas and the young woman who looked after food and drinks in the evenings we stayed 16/17/18 June sorry I forgot her name. Niclas tended to all our requests very well suggested a couple of restaurants that were really what we wanted, and provided a good service. thanks

"Enter the hipster life"
Chokk, 18 Juin 2016

Booked a room with descent price when everything else in the city was overpriced - this wasn't cheap but the less expensive. The building is cozy and totally laid back with a calm atmosphere. The weather was good and many guests were hanging out in the courtyard having a beer or a glas wine. The room was located on the second floor - there are no elevator by the way. The room was really large and in 4 sections; entry, sofa, bed and bathroom which surprisingly had a small sauna, which I used a lot. The breakfast was nice and with tasty dishes. The hotel had a garage nearby but you had to bring a key back and forth every time you parked there, but it was pretty close and not a problem. It was a really great stay.

"Third floor = third class in hipster-land"
BizLeisureFred, 16 Juin 2016

The location of this hotel is not bad - in a cosy area of Stockholm's hipster centre: Södermalm. You will have nice, alternative, restaurants nearby. And the metro is just a short walk away, taking you to downtown Stockholm in ten minutes. The hipster feeling is strong also in the reception/lounge area which is cool and nicely decorated. The rooms on the third floor are reasonably priced and I was fully aware of that this meant that bathrooms and toilets were to be shared. But they are shared by too many rooms - worse than in most hostels. The bathrooms/toilets are acceptable, but not more. The rooms are so-so, giving a worn and not 100% clean feeling. I was worried that they would be hot during summer (no AC), but since the building isn't facing the street, you can have the window open without noise coming into the room. The beds are small but provide a decent sleep quality. The TV set is old, providing bad image quality, but Wi-Fi works well. Even if the price is reasonable, there are other hotels in Stockholm (First Fridhemsplan) who manages to provide a small (cabin type) room with your own bathroom for the same money. And they are more up-to-date. The breakfast isn't included, but is actually of high standard and nice (although missing porridge) - but it's also grossly overcharged (165 SEK) which is a price level of luxurious hotels. The rooms at the two lower floors are likely much nicer (the only fact which can explain some of the high Tripadvisor rankings) than on the third floor - but likely also charged more.

"Comfortable & Peaceful"
Heidar R, 01 Juin 2016

It is a good hotel, located in a good neighborhood. You can walk 5 to 10 minutes to get to the metro station and bus stop. Staff are nice and helpful. Our room was clean & spacious. We had a good stay there and I can surely recommend this hotel to others.

"Great location and friendly staff. Rooms are basic"
erikvdg, 22 Mai 2016

My room was on the third floor under the roof, right in front of the stairs. There is no elevator so be aware of the need to walk up. A small entrance hall with separate shoer and toilet on the left and the actual (small) bedroom straight ahead. Under the roof, with a Velux type window. No view. The room was cosy and clean, coffee/tea making facilties in the room. The curtain of the roof window is hard to close properly so the room becomes very light very early .... (this time of year). The shower was ok, not a lot of water, and no room to put anything down, no washing basin, no shelf. The toilet has a small hand wash basin and that is it. Also no shelf or any place to leave toiletries. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast is very good with lots of variety and nice bread. The location is excellent and there are many bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, This is not a 'tourist trap' area but simply downtown Stockholm. I will definitely consider a stay in this area again, and possibly in the same hotel.

"Loft living"
dominikbeck, 12 Avril 2016

Take a Loftroom if you do not mind to share bath and if you like to stay somewhere away from the other "all look the same" Hotels. Great, helpful and friendly Staff 24 hours! Breakfast is more you would expect in a 3*. 5 min to T-bana i hype Södermalm.

"Great place"
Ville T, 07 Avril 2016

Economy room with shared bathroom. No freezer or cooking equipment. Friendly staff and cozy lobby / wine bar. A bit noisy area since the traffic is quite busy on the near streets. Location is very good in the middle of Södermalm. There is tunnelbana station and bus connections on walking distance. Many bars and pubs as well. Recommend for low budget travellers who do not prefer dorm accommodation.

"Thumbs up for NOFO"
gerro81, 29 Mars 2016

Really liked the hotel. Rooms were nicely laid out and had good facilities - comfy bed, tea and coffee making facilities, desk, etc. Minutes away from Fotografiska Museum and there is a metro station at the end of the road. A walk along the sea front is also moments away. Staff very friendly and breakfast had a good range of choices.

"Delicious breakfast"
77Gelada, 29 Mars 2016

I'm of mixed views about this hotel. Great location - not in the tourist area and near a wonderful area with great restaurants, cafes and bars. Breakfast - outstanding and brilliant selection. Service - good but nothing to write about. Local knowledge not flash although they did look up the information we were seeking on the internet ... it turned out to be incorrect. Rooms - clean and well appointed but didn't live up to expectation. Noise travelled through walls hence I'd seek a room away from others. Also be aware there's no lift, although they did assist us with our bags. Would I stay here again - not so sure - if I did it would be because of the location and the breakfast.

"Surprised in a very good way!"
CAli2Everywhere, 29 Mars 2016

We had a spacious room with a view of the church and was very pleased with the hotel. They are 2 minutes away from the metro station (Medborgarplatsen). The hotel is in the Sodermalm neighborhood and is a short walk to Old Town/Gamla Stan. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was delicious (food was fresh and had a good selection), and the hotel is well maintained. We also tried their afternoon wine before heading out to dinner and really enjoyed our happy hour. The bottle prices were very reasonable and the staff made an excellent recommendation. The hotel is a short walk to many restaurants and markets as well. We have stayed at other Best Western locations before and did not have high expectations-besides a place to rest our heads at night. We were pleasantly surprised and only have very good things to say about them. We will definitely stay with them again on our next visit Go book with them, you will not regret it!

"Lovely hotel- well worth a visit"
Teresa M, 11 Mars 2016

Hotel staff were helpful, rooms comfortable, decor lovely.... Quaint hotel well worth a visit. Would definitely go back. One thing I missed was that the hotel has no lift but it was not a problem for us

"little slice of swedish heaven"
lucyred50, 28 Février 2016

I loved, loved, loved this hotel. Trendy yet nice low light candle, atmosphere, stylish yet comfortable. Plenty of seating downstairs to relax. Comfortable beds with cool blankets, clean rooms with wooden floors, our room had both toiletries and a hair dryer. Really quiet at night. Located in trendy Sodermalm area, close to metro, ferry and bus stops. Near restaurants and coffee shops but set back from main road with a park to the front and church yard to the rear. Breakfast was amazing, beautifully presented, hot coffee, choice of juices, cereal, cold meats and cheeses, yo ghurts, fruit, eggs, bacon, variety of different breads, excellent value in a city like Stockholm, really made our trip.

"Very good"
AndrePont, 28 Février 2016

Great hotel in sodermalm. Very close to Gamla Stan (10 min walk). Lots of great restaurants and bars in soft. Very close to metro. Great huge breakfast; also glutenfree. Bathroom is a bit small because it's build in into a beautiful old building. And it's relatively cheep. Great value for money!

"Good ambition but lack of finesse"
annica s, 09 Février 2016

Friendly staff, nice location, interior design were fine. We lacked hot water in our room so we got to shower in another room, which solves the problem, but it is not what you is planning for to gather everything and move out of the room without even getting a shower at first. Breakfast had good ambition but it needed to be filled up, seems that they were low on staff.

"Just wonderful "
Taalfindings, 16 Janvier 2016

NOFO is situated in the rightfully popular area - Södermalm. Right behind the hotel lies the beautiful Katarina Church where Anna Lind, Cornelis Vreeswijk, Lars Wivallius and other rest in peace. Great food and shopping in the neighborhood. The rooms are wonderful and the breakfast and breakfast great. Good service. All in a wonderful 18th centrum building. Just love this place!

"Great weekend"
Carina S, 03 Janvier 2016

We stayed in Stockholm for 2 nights and the NoFo Hotel was perfect. The old building was charming and the personel was kind and friendly. Plus the breakfast was great! The area was great too. We will definitely come visit an other time.

"Charming and "value for money""
Nordholm, 02 Décembre 2015

Small and personal hotel in a rather unknown and calm part of Stockholm. Value for money and high standard room in an old building. Breakfast was excellent and well composed. Nice and serviceminded staff.

"Great value hotel right next to SoFo"
laurencejdavies, 11 Novembre 2015

My fiancee and I stayed at this hotel (previously known as Hotel Columbus) renamed the NoFo Hotel to gain followers who want to frequent the trendy SoFo area in Stockholm. Stockholm can be very expensive so finding this little gem right where we wanted to be for a great price was awesome! Very helpful staff, really great rooms, good historical setting - i'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Hidden gem "
Hugh T, 07 Novembre 2015

I love this place, it's a real slice of trendy Stockholm. I had no idea it was a Great Western managed place until I came to write this review, feels unique and a bit special. Beds are amazingly comfortable, nice dark blinds, hot powerful shower. Great decor, feels like a boutique hotel. The lobby is lovely place to relax and breakfast is very comprehensive. Maybe there's not a lot of hot options as English people might be used to but the food is a high standard and maybe try to be a bit healthier and we'll all look as good as the locals! The only negative I have for this place is people walking outside your room is very loud, it's disturbing in the mornings if you're trying to lay in. Would def come back again and again.

"Not impressed but good neighborhood"
HelenMirrenJunior, 29 Octobre 2015

This hotel is ok but leaves me unimpressed. There are no toiletries at all, no hair dryer and no black out curtains. The court yard is quiet though, unless the alarm goes off in the fire station next door. There are only 4 -5 tv channels, most of them Swedish. The breakfast is good but already closes at 10 am. Coffee is not tasty at all, but there is a café called Coffice very close to Nofo where you can get a good coffee. Staff at reception are friendly but impersonal and without charm. Neighbourhood is cool!

"Great hotel!"
Claudel2653, 29 Septembre 2015

This was a lovely boutique hotel in Stockholm. The most comfortable bed! And the morning breakfast was amazing. Really loved staying here and would definitely stay here again. The front desk staff was very helpful with everything we needed.

"Oldm quiet and wonderful"
Goran K, 16 Septembre 2015

Charming hotel in a really old hous with really nice rooms and a quiet atmosphere! No restaurant, but all other thongs are perfect except a little slow (minor) internet connection (free). Breakfast is fine and in the evenings there is a nice winebar in the lobby.

"What a little gem"
Anettzi, 10 Septembre 2015

Stayed one night only on business. Smallish room but perfect for me since I was travelling alone. Wifi worked perfectly and there was everything needed for a stay. Really nice bed with several pillows to choose from. Lovely breakfast topped it off. Will definitely come back.

"Super nice boutique hotel"
Roger P, 10 Septembre 2015

It might not look like it from the outside but Nofo Hotel is a small cosy hotel with a boutique feeling. We got a very nice room with beautiful views to the rear green park. The breakfast was included and it was great, everything fresh and delicious. The only con would be that the bathroom was for me a bit small, but in general i had a very pleasant stay. I was for business but it's ideal for couples too. Totally recommended if you want to stay in SoFo.

"Dirty"
ntfinn1, 24 Août 2015

The shower curtain was filthy and the soap container is rusty and hanging off the wall. There is no WIFI in the room for more than a minute. The staff is extremely unfriendly. Breakfast was the worst I have had in our travels, unless you like meat and cheese. Being a vegan, I have found many fruits and vegetables at previous hotels. There was little fruit available at the breakfast at NOFO. All I can say is No Mo of NOFO for me! I can't wait to return to Helsinki to our decent hotel.
