The hotel and the room were clean. The room actually felt like a high end hotel. Spacious. Nice furniture and fixtures. Extra wall outlets to plug into. King room had extra seating so I didn't have to sit on the bed the whole time. The staff was polite and helpful. Hot breakfast of eggs, French toast and a hash brown.
The property is immaculately clean. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast every morning was not only substantial and tasty, but changed a little each morning, which is very nice when staying for multiple days. Coupling all of that with the very competitive rates and you get an excellent stay experience. This was my fourth time over the last three years to stay here. Will definitely be back.
Barely adequate. If I travel through there again I'll try somewhere else. Maybe for the area this is normal, first time I've stayed in Slidell. I did book at last minute but I wouldn't expect that to be an issue. Either a room is available and ready or it isn't and they had them available. Carpet was wet, hand soap dispenser was empty, facial tissues were practically empty, parking lot was unkempt.
With so many amenities the Best Western has makes traveling a lot easier to have one everything under One roof.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and have never been disappointed. Location is excellent and it is surrounded by excellent restaurants and a Harley-Davidson dealership (I travel on a HD motorcycle). Price, location, quality breakfast, amenities, and staff make this establishment a key element to an I-10 corridor trip.
Was just an overnight on a roadtrip but it was a great experience! Would definitely recommend. Super friendly service and well appointed clean room
It's the first time I've stayed here although I pass through about 4 times a year. Check-in was easy and she was informative. She was helpful about a restaurant within walking distance. The room was clean and nice. The fitness room needs a bigger sign - and some more equipment (therefore a large space). I was told breakfast would be at 6:30 but was open at 6. I had already eaten before I came down. Check out was easy.
We stayed for 4 days. My wife was having a procedure at a surgery center close by and we wanted something near. The Hotel was very clean, the linens on the bed smelt fresh and the towel were the same. The staff were very friendly.
Front Desk Staff made us feel very welcomed as soon as we entered the lobby. Professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Housekeeping was exceptional.

We were passing through on way home. Great affordable place. It was clean and close to places to eat. Breakfast was ok.
I stayed at that hotel from May 27th to May 30th, 2024. The rooms (305 and 225) had several roaches. Both rooms smelled like wet carpet and felt humid. There was also a roach in the hallway of the second floor. I stepped on it the 2nd day of my stay. The dead roach was still on the floor when I checked out 2 days later. It's to wonder if the cleaning crew actually cleans. After I reported the roaches in my 1st room, the receptionists put me in a different room where I woke up in the middle of the night with a roach crawling on my face. I reported the issue. Nothing was done. I had to remain in the same room with the roaches for the remainder of my stay (2 more days). I didn't change hotels due to the nature of my trip. Also, in the second room, the iron did not work. When I asked for another one, the person at the front desk (not Mary or Chelsa) wasn't willing to bring another iron. She asked me to bring the broke iron to the front for her to give me another one.
They don't give complimentary toothpaste which I found odd. Front desk was friendly rooms were clean
Slidell BW is simple beautiful. The Hotel is clean and all amenities working. Chelsea was amazing upon my arrival and was very helpful in guiding us to our destination. She even told us a great place to eat. And explained as a whole all the things this hotel had to offer. One small knock was being double charged today by the front desk. This has happened 3 times this week. I try to explain that my card is already being charged. And they are still charging it again. These charges do not just fall off. It takes days for this to sort itself out. Still over all I give this location an amazing score. Thank You Chelsea you're amazing!
We had an awesome stay! Very convenient to interstate. Room was very clean and smelled great. Plenty of towels. Brittany at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. Would definitely recommend or stay again when in town. Good job Best Western.
This was a one night stay for us. Very clean. The receptionist was very pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was good.
The hotel is located off of I-10 and since I was riding my motorcycle on a trip, the extremely close proximity of a fabulous restaurant and a Harley-Davidson Dealership were a big plus. The hotel clerk was very respectful and helpful in booking my room. Additionally, the breakfast in the morning was actually better than most of the other Best Westerns I have stayed in recently. Bed was very comfortable, room looked nice and everything worked. Overall, an ideal stay. This is my second time to this location and it won't be my last.
A great place to stay while visiting New Orleans. It's only a 30 minute drive and keeps me just far enough away from the crazies. I often visit New Orleans and prefer to stay outside the city for safety, ease of travel and comfort.
The front desk people or friendly and helpful in directing us to a great place to eat. The rooms were comfortable and clean with plenty of space for us and our bicycles .We stayed two nights and were happy with everything.
We were very satisfied with our stay here. Checking in was quick and simple. Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nice and quiet. Breakfast was nice. Checkout was quick. We would stay here again.
Comfortable and clean. Room was not fancy, but functional and clean. Breakfast was the now standard motel offering, but well presented and the breakfast room was very clean. Hotel is convenient to both I-10 & 12. Would consider staying here again on the return trip.
Came through for a wedding. Chelsa helped me out with extra towels and late checkout. Easy to talk to too! The rooms were clean and fridge was cold! I got a bargain when factoring pricing and accommodations. Unfortunately our late night left us without trying breakfast but I heard it was good. 24/7 availability on the fitness room as well.
Wouldn't stay here again for comfort! Warm water at best. Don't hold out hope of having a nice hot bath/shower. Oh yeah, the water is also brown. Shower has very poor water pressure. The beds are rock hard, may as well sleep on the floor. Staying here again won't be a mistake I make twice.
Hotel is nice and clean. Desk staff friendly and explains policies very well. Parking lot is well lit. Can walk over to several fast food places quickly and safely The breakfast is not the best but would be adequate.
The parking lot is a little awkward to navigate other that It is a great place to get a good night's sleep. I will definitely be staying there if I am in the area. The breakfast was good just needs to be served a little more early
The room was new, very comfortable, and clean! Great stay overall. Will com here again if I pass by Slidell. The main factor in my positive review is that the room was so clean and well kept. Congrats to the hotel staff.
Mary on night shift when we checked in took great care of us & made us feel so welcomed & like we were visiting family instead of staying at a hotel! Even our teens commented on how amazing she was & that she certainly deserved a raise because she does her job so well & goes above and beyond to make your stay amazing! All staff we met were friendly & helpful but Mary just was amazing and went above & beyond!!
Bed was really comfortable. Room was spacious. Needs some updating. Only bad thing was bathroom door kept locking when shut. Looks like its been a problem for a while as lock was rounded out. Used my pocket knife to get it open. Left door open after that. Also dont like being charged for incidentals. Just put a hold
The hot breakfast is good, the beds are very comfortable, this hotel is very clean, and the staff is very nice!! We have stayed here before and will stay here anytime we are in the area. This is a great hotel!
A mid-level hotel. The receptionist was very unpleasant. The rooms are specious with a fridge, a safe box, AC, toiletries, coffee machine and a desk. Breakfast is very poor and time limited 06:30-08:30. The hotel has a washer and a dryer, a very small swimming pool and a tiny gym.
The place was clean. The beds and pillows were dreamyCustomer Service was awesome. The hot breakfast was delighted. Overall the place was really nice . You cannot beat the price for a great and clean hotel.
Mary at the front desk is awesome. She is kind, welcoming and so hospitable. Truly an asset. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the water is hot, the room coffee so good. I have nothing but compliments for this Best Western!
Average hotel. Fine for a business trip. Staff at the front desk are courteous. Room was quiet. AC worked well. Breakfast typical for these types of hotel; not eco-friendly (Styrofoam plates and bowls, plastic utensils), very small selection of food. Located very close to the highway and many restaurants. Plenty of parking on site. Nothing wrong with the hotel, just very average.
Clean comfortable spacious room with plenty of hot water. The mattress was very comfortable. Slept very well after a hard day's work. Will recommend this hotel to my other company employees working in that area. The full breakfast was very good especially for someone like me who leaves early and doesn't always have time to stop once I get started with my day

Check in was a nightmare with a less than knowledgeable clerk who called me sweetheart continually and told me to be quiet while he worked out our reservation. We stood at the desk for half an hour while he insisted very aggressively that it was a "hold" not a pre-payment on our room...he was wrong. Once I just let him do what he was intent on doing, we went to our mildew smelling room (can't be helped in this region) and things were okay. It is a bit beat up but the breakfast staff was nice and it was good enough.

Great service. Late checkout made life easy. Friendly workers and helpful. Walking distance to all kinds of cool stuff like smalls sliders, chik fillet, McDonald's, racetrack, rouses, sportsman warehouse.
The cleaning/maid staff are a subcontracted company that constantly violates your privacy & personal space and they push you out of your room. They throw your stuff away and have no understanding of what a privacy sign means. They entered my room multiple times with the privacy sign on the door. They packed my stuff up twice and put it in the front office even though I wasn't due to check out and threw my food away twice even though I was not due to check out. They refused to reimburse me for the food and did not even acknowledge that they made a mistake. DO NOT STAY HERE!
I was very impressed with this hotel! If all hotels could be like Best Western Plus in Slidell. Will definitely stay here the next time we come to Slidell! The breakfast was awesome too! The room was extremely clean and the bed was super comfy!
We stopped here on our way back to Texas: everything was fresh and lovely, clean and comfy. Room had been recently remodeled; bed was comfortable, room well designed. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit and cooked oatmeal, among the other usual offerings. Parking was easy and plentiful. Front desk was friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast looked good but I did not try it (was not feeling well.) The internet worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful. I appreciated being able to get a room where I could use the shower without having to climb in and out of a tub.

Stayed here in order to ride part of the Tammany Trace Bike Trail as we make our way to Dallas. Also wanted to eat some good cajun food. We were able to do both easily from hotel location. Nice comfortable place to stay. Room was slightly worn around the edges but still nice and clean as well as comfortable.
Been staying here for at least 10 years . Really love the upgrades to the rooms. All of the staff we've had encountered are polite and knowledgeable about the location. Close to many good restaurants & shopping. We will be back .
During checkout very bad customer service. Was not allowed to late check out so I purchased another night and when I went to my room my sheets where half way off my bed with cleaning supplies in room,so I called from the room to complain and she did nothing so I said I did not want to spend another night. And she said I still had to pay for the Night. I said whatever and turned in my room keys and booked at another hotel
We have two families traveling with high school age kids visiting colleges and universities throughout the Southeast. We were welcomed efficiently at a late hour. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and included hot items.
Easy on & off the Interstate. The service was efficient & breakfast food satisfactory. There were numerous utility companies employees returning from hurricane clean up, but they were put on an upper floor so the facility remained quiet for the rest of the guests.
The staff in Slidell were very concerned for customer satisfaction. They were very friendly and helpful. I had a problem with the corporate reservation service. The staff in Slidell made efforts to help me resolve this.
Room was larger than average, extremely clean, and comfortable. Overall, the hotel was quieter than average. Breakfast was not plentiful, but absolutely sufficient. I did not use the pool, but it looked very inviting. The rates were significantly less than other hotels nearby where I have stayed, but the accommodations were superior. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.
The staff was nice and helpful. The facility was clean and attractive. The kids loved the pool. We are very satisfied with our stay at this Best Western Hotel. The pillows were wierd. Overall, we were very comfortable staying here.
I'm a truck driver and my A/C went out. I was desperate for relief from the heat. Got a room here. Very up to date and clean. Staff let me pull my rig up to the property on the street. Means I can sleep a little longer vs walking to the truckstop and also keep a better eye on it. I swam in the pool. It was so awesome and clean. I will be checking out at 2am and miss breakfast. Staff put together a little snack for breakfast for me. Even got my laundry done while here. I recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. The staff here treat people with respect like I have not seen in the last years.
This BW is amazingly difficult to actually reach. All clearly visible signs are NOT on usable approaches. The facility itself is poorly maintained and not especially clean. It was malodorous and the slow elevator sounded as if sand was in all its working parts. The lady who checked us in, however, was friendly and personable, and the breakfast was first rate.
Located directly off I10. There are quite a few restaurants near by and some in walking distance. The staff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast has fruit and juices. There is also som kind of hot food each day. Coffee is available all day long.
rude staff, refuse to give you copies of a bill, inaccuracy of the final bill from what you were quoted before hand but they refused to show you a copy of what you signed on the pad before. Food was cold but you had to wait till the kitchen staff and their kids ate before they were an hour late getting the leftovers to the guests, The response from the front desk was, "look, this is how we are trained, I am just trying to go home."
The worst hotel I have ever been in. The room was so filthy that I had to purchase cleaning products to wipe down the surfaces.If I was spending my money instead of using my Best Western points I would have left immediately. Upon a lengthy wait to check in, I walked into a room that appeared to be unkept, worn and dated. They didn't have the decency to restore basic amenities like toilet paper from previous guest. There wasn't working bathroom ventilation and as an Best Western elite I expected more. This was a 1 star dump.
Beware - owner of this property holds back rooms so can charge much higher rates than on BW website. We were charged almost $100 more than the going rate because owner blocked rooms and refused to release so we could make reservation through the BW website.
Hotel is older but was well maintained and clean. Grab and Go for breakfast was a disappointment as I was looking forward to a hot waffle. Staff was friendly and the hotel was close to the highway but there was no highway noise in the room.
Beware - the hotel does not reflect what is shown on the website. The door on the side of the hotel is not locked, anyone can enter, big security issue. The room had a weird smell, but was tolerable. Towels were rough. Paid way too much money for this hotel!!!!!!!!
I thought it was a little pricey, but it was a good stay and the room was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable with nice pillows. Towels were soft and fluffy. Microwave and refrigerator were available. We did not eat breakfast there, as we had other plans.
This is my new place to stay in Slidell! The service, cleanliness and size of the room were all excellent. Mary's personality was great. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation and I will be returning for another stay very soon.
Its a great place now they do clean your room without permission everything works the people are super nice now the park in the front was limited and people park selfishly but the overall experience was great the sheets are white. There high in my oppion but i did go after hurricane ida so beggers cant be choosers i spent 900 so a 100 a day.
The neighbors continued to make noise all night. The walls are poorly insulated, except for the hall ways. could also here TV playing upstairs. Asked front desk to help, they said the asked them to hold it down but it continued.
Ev'ry year my wife & I travel to New Orleans but , we always stop at the Best Western in Slidell, La. before our checking date in New Orleans. We spend the afternoon around the hotel we drive around Slidell looking for places to eat. It's laid back & quite to hang out we also walk around the area to sight see.
A picture is worth a thousand words. But since I have to write a minimum of 200 characters, this is what we found when we arrived. (Empty roll and an almost empty roll of toilet paper.) For the price, mediocrity is expected, but never dreamed we'd have to ask for toilet paper upon arrival!! Just wow. However, for a stop in the night on the way home from a Florida vacay, it was a fine place to sleep.
This hotel needs some work. It's old and dirty. The least I can say about it. We found food in the refrigerator and hair on the bed. Elevator lights were not working and at night time you can smell weed coming from the hall. I will never go back to this hotel.
Enjoy the atmosphere and location. They offer complimentary breakfast. My check in was delayed do to staffing, but while waiting, we were able to have early dinner at one of the many restaurants nearby. The pool area was my best spot of the trip. Thank you!
Stayed here on our way home after a week of traveling. Check in was smooth and friendly, breakfast explained well and off we went. Room was spacious and comfortable. Plan to return in December on our way to our cruise!
I made an advance reservation at the Slidell BW, as we were motoring west it appeared that we could continue past Slidell and make further progress in our journey west. I called and spoke with Dennis and he cancelled our reservation. After traveling for a few more hours, I realized the time zone change made it appear that we were going to arrive in Slidell too early to quit traveling, but in fact our "Body Time" made me want to stop due to fatigue. I called Dennis back and reinstated our original reservation. He was very helpful and gracious with my "On again-Off again" reservation. Thank you Dennis. The room was clean and there was no down side to our stay.
We stopped at this hotel because we always like Best Western hotels ,especially Best Western Plus this place was not clean dirty diaper outside right on the side of the door, tv remote did not change the channel so we could only watch one channel. The breakfast was horrible old food. Please don't stay here you will be disappointed .
We have been staying here for a very long time trying to find a place and get on our feet the people here are very welcome they make you feel like family. And I have never seen housekeeping on their hands and knees to make sure everything is sanitized and the cleanest I have ever seen
We needed to make last minute plans for a stop in Slidell. This Best Western offered a room and price that was what we wanted. Both Mary and Cheyenne at the front desk went way above and beyond to attend to every detail to make all facets of our stay perfect. That included everything from check-in to check out. That brown bag breakfast was what you would expect with Covid restrictions. Would book again.
My wife and I stayed here for a trip to New Orleans and this was a great hotel. I want to start off with saying that Mary was phenomenal. She was such a nice lady that treated us really well. The room itself was clean and comfortable. There were two things I didn't like. First off, stop with the incidental holds. They're stupid and not necessary. My room was free with points. You don't need to hold $50 when I'm not even paying anything. And the other thing was the guy who checked me out was kind of a jerk. He was a medium build with short dark hair. No mask on and playing with his phone and then asked for my last name when I checked out. You're not supposed to do that. You may ask for the room number and that's supposed to be it. I give you my keys and I leave. The fact that he was breaking at least 2 rules and then decided to be a top notch employee. I didn't like that encounter. We would probably stay here again and just do an express check out so we don't have to be harassed.
We was on the way to Galveston we stay at the Hotel for a few nights we love it wasn't crowded it was very clean the housekeeping was nice only down was that breakfast was limited to simple items other overall experience is 4.9 of five

Slidell is a great stayover hotel. The hotel is clean, comfortable and a great bargain. I recommend this hotel if you are traveling near slidell. We enjoyed the stay eventhough we were under covid-19 precautions.
Walked in the lobby and couldn't believe what I saw! Around 15 people gathered, having a party, food and towels all over the floor! Unbelievable! I felt like I was in a cheap motel without any rules or management. Not only a horrible way to be received in a hotel lobby but they completely ignore CDC guidelines because of the coronavirus pandemic. I felt really bad and wish I had time to go somewhere else. I don't recommend this place which is a threat for your health.
Great price! Needs to improve the grab and go breakfast. Not even a decent snack! The staff was good and the room was very clean. We were there for a relative in the hospital and it was a great location.
Great place to stay. The biggest negative is breakfast ends too early at 9:00. This place is a great place to stay if you are driving down for a cruise. It's only about 40 min to the cruise terminal and the motel has comfortable beds and a good breakfast.
My husband and I love this hotel. We will definitely continue to stay here and would recommend it to others!! Always a great experience! So far, I do not have any complaints. Good value for the price!
Loved everything about this hotel. Convenient location for my employees, family and friends for Mardi Gras Parade in Slidell. Breakfast was hot and fresh daily. Staff was welcoming and eager to please during our stay.
We spent only 1 night as we were boarding a ship the following day. Our room was clean and neat. The bed was comfortable so got a great night's sleep. The bathroom was well supplied and very clean. The free breakfast was very good. Sadly, I left behind a small cooler with my prescription eye drops in it in the mini fridge. I called the front desk and was blessed that the clerk, Will, answered the phone. After explaining we had just checked out and discovered I had left my cooler in the mini fridge, Will did not hesitate a moment to make sure it was still in the room. He then said he would tag it with our name and put it in their fridge and I could pick it up when we returned from our cruise. We did pick it up and I cannot say enough about Will and his outstanding customer service. If we are in the area again we'll be happy to stay again.
Arrived on December 30th for a 3 Night Stay in the area for a Wedding. Arrived a little earlier than the check in time and was allowed to Check-In. Process was smooth and fast and the front desk attendant was very helpful. Went to the room and it was clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of parking and close proximity to Restaurants, Shopping and 25 minutes from New Orleans off of I-10 Highway. The area was very quiet. Ate the Breakfast for 3 days, first day it was terrible. The area was not stocked and had limited choices. The 2nd and 3rd day was a much better Breakfast. Shower water pressure was good and stayed hot. There is only one elevator at this hotel and we stayed on the second floor so we used the stairs majority of the because our room was located by the stairs. Overall a Nice Clean Hotel and I would stay here again.
I was traveling with young kids. + The parking lot lights are *ridiculously bright* and even with the curtains completely shut, there was a lot of light shining into the room. It took a long time for the kids to fall asleep since it wasn't completely dark. + Folks in the room next to us were smoking and all we could smell was cigarette smoke. + Folks were partying in the room by us till around 130 am. We could hear every word. The kids woke up multiple times throughout the night and I even contemplated just putting them in the car at 2 am and just driving back home.
We stayed here one night on a return road trip to Texas! This hotel was very nice and comfortable! The staff we dealt with were extremely friendly and helpful! The checkin process was easy and efficient! The breakfast was great and well stocked! I would definitely stay here again! The area was quiet and safe!
Overall had a good experience here, the rooms were very clean, a little bit of maintenance needed in the threshold between the carpet and tile... felt a carpet tack, but other than that...great room. Fridge and microwave included. Staff is very hit or miss. The ladies were very hospitable, friendly, personable. The male staff... completely the opposite. Breakfast in the morning was a standard continental. Scrambled eggs, overcooked bacon, tater tots and some unknown substance. Make your own waffles, and some breads and pastries. Same as the hotel next door. Too cold to use the pool, looked clean, but it's an outdoor pool so weather dependent.
We often stay here as it's on the way between two sets of grandkids. On most recent stay, we left a jacket behind and they were on top of it very quickly and professionally. The parking lot is a bit strange (in shape - weird but not dangerous), but the hotel's a winner.
The hotel was very clean. The front desk night clerk very friendly. We had our service dog and the night clears loved her. Our room was clean and the air conditioner cold, just how we like it. Breakfast was a full breakfast. Hot and tasty. Very good.
This is a very nice hotel with very friendly people. The red headed Lady that checked us in was very friendly and helpful with a great attitude. The hotel was very clean and well maintained the rooms were very clean and quite. This hotel is located close to some very good Restaurants. Every time I come to this area I always stay here.
The room was generally clean, but when we went to leave and I went to check the bed for socks, there was blood on the other side of the bed. I hadn't seen when my son got in because he slept on the other side of the bed. I know for sure it wasn't his. I was thoroughly repulsed. I mentioned it on the phone to the morning clerk, and she just said "okay." When I left, she didn't even acknowledge me when I walked by the front desk. (The night clerk was lovely.) I checked out over the phone. Other than that, generally speaking, and this does not reflect on my rating - just personal preference, but it's a bit cold, lighting wise and the curtain as a closet didn't really do it for me. It didn't feel very “plus” for a BW plus. Funny enough, I apparently stayed here in 2016 and didn't find it memorable because my old review popped up and I didn't even recall it. I'll remember it now, however, for all the wrong reasons.
We checked in at midnight and Katherine at the front desk was very personable and greeted us with a smile and express service. The hotel is dated but you can tell it is kept clean and tidy! We had a group of 10 people in 5 rooms and no one had a glitch of any kind. Definitely recommend so long as you are not expecting 4-5 star luxury on a 3 star budget! Not fair to the hotels that have rates this low to receive bad reviews because customers always want 4-5 stars!
Slidell trip stay. During July 19. Very unclean room and bad area. The employees dont speak or understand English at all. Very pricey room rate for the received quality. Some electrical plugs dont work
Dennis and Mary were awesome it was a speedy check in and out. They took the time to make sure me and my kids were happy. The pool always is our favorite but the rooms are nice also. Great place to see even as just a one day geta way
Every time we stay at Best Western, Slidell, we have a wonderful experience. The service is excellent, rooms are comfortable and clean, and the location is convenient and safe. I find the staff helpful and willing to go the extra mile to provide stellar customer service.
Everything was great. Beds were comfortable, shower had good water pressure, room was quiet, no bugs or weird smells, breakfast was good and fresh, employees were nice. Swimming pool area looked nice. I have no complaints.
Booked this hotel because Best Westerns are usually really nice. The hotel is pretty clean but worn. Stayed on the 3rd floor where the hallways weren't air conditioned! It was in the 90's outside. Needless the room was warm with the air conditioner running full blast. Had to use a small fan to keep cool. The bed was comfortable and the shower clean. Lots of pillows. The TV had very poor sound that couldn't be heard over the air conditioner!! Had to use closed caption mode to watch a program!! Fridge and microwave and coffee maker. I guess in an area of higher priced hotels this one was ok. Close to lots of places to eat, shop.
Dennis at front desk greeted us and checked us in, was very courteous and professional assisted to our needs and was very friendly when giving directions showing us where to eat and the best place to park etc. room and breakfast was great
When we visit our son's family, we use this Best Western Plus. We have been very pleased with the comfort, friendly staff, and breakfast. We will continue to stay there when we visit and would recommend it to anyone.
The hotel is an older hotel and had some irregularities. The parking lot was extremely tight and I would be careful if I had a large vehicle. The bathroom door was trimmed to go around the toilet. The water pressure in the shower was very low. The toilet seemed to run a very long time, but this could be due to the low water pressure. The pool is between the front entrance and the parking lot so do not expect much privacy. This Best Western does not offer any meat for breakfast, the had rice dressing in lieu of meat options. The hotel was clean and worked for a cheap overnight stay while traveling, but it is hard to find as it is behind many other hotels.
Left a $45 Izod Men's mint green shirt in room, called to retrieve it but said was not there, stated they would follow up with housekeeping but did not receive any calls. This was a new shirt bought to wear to the family reunion.
We came for our first time to visit the New Orleans area. This Best Western was close enough to the part of the City that we wanted to visit and had easy access to the Highways to New Orleans. We were happy they had laundry machines but you could only use one dryer at a time. (Or a breaker would trip.)
The pics on the website were awesome the hotel not quite so much. The door to the parking lot was broken not taking hotel keys and anyone could have walked in. The location was very convient. The hotel room had a sweaty smell to it.
Stayed here as an alternative to the crowds, prices and confusion of New Orleans. It's only a 30 minute drive and a pretty one. The rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was OK but nothing outstanding. Good value for the price.
Our stay was perfect until the morning hours. Desk staff was great and checkin and the evening. We were put in room next to maid services. When morn rolled around the maids came in and they were SOOOO loud! They laughed and yelled over the sounds of laundry. They yelled to each other in hall. Breakfast was great. It was too cold to use outdoor pool but it looked nice. If staying ask to be placed anywhere but 109.
The room was clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and it's a short distance to a major bicycle path and an approximate 30 minute drive to New Orleans. This would have been rated a 5 but there was no TV sound or apparent a/c in their gym. But I'd still highly recommend it.
Stayed here for a few days while looking at relocating to the area. Room was great with comfortable beds, clean and the heat and AC worked great. Didn't use the pool as it was too cold outside, breakfast was ok but appreciated each morning. Easy to walk to local convenience store for snacks and several restaurants very close. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
For what I needed and the reasonable prices I'd return. My service and stay will bring me back. This hotel was quiet for a rested nights sleep. It's close to shopping no matter the name. I'd recommend.
Overall this hotel was very reasonally priced, rooms were GREAT! Bed was nice with extra cushion on top. And it was very clean. This is a perfect place to stay if going to New Orleans and you can have about a hour to drive there. We will make this a regular place to stay when going to New Orleans!!
I stayed for Mardi Gras and highly recommend this hotel. The location was within walking distance of the end of the parade route. The tv and rooms were nice. The staff went out of their way and their customer service was amazing.
On our way from TX to Orlando for a gymnastics meet, we booked this room at 10 PM for a midnight arrival. No problems with booking on the 1-800 hotel site. No problems with late check in. Only issue we had was that there was a strange noise constantly coming from the slightly uncovered wall vent in the bathroom. It was loud, but we were able to close the door to the bathroom so we couldn't hear it while sleeping. We joked that it sounded like a time portal. We told the front desk about the vent when we checked out, just so they would be aware. The breakfast looked delicious, but my daughter has Celiac Disease, so we brought our own food. We did enjoy the fruit and juice available. Overall, a very nice experience. Would have given 5 stars if the “time portal” vent hadn't been so loud. We were on the third floor. Nice staff.
Weird stinch in room, bed was lopsided. The room was pretty clean. The breakfast looked disgusting. Worst part was I booked through Expedia a week in advance. Over 24 hours before check in they charged my card for one night and tried to tell me it was a pre-authorization. We get to the hotel and they then charge my card for the two nights I was staying, meanwhile I still have a hold on my card for the "pre-authorization". When we asked about it the guy at the front desk said it's Expedia's policy which is a flat out lie. They said by tomorrow it'll fall off . Nope, three days later there's still a hold. I booked three hotels for a four night trip through Expedia and the other two hotels didn't do this to me. If you're looking for a place to crash, good with cereal and dried up pieces of ham for breakfast and pay in cash it'll probably do.
Passing through the area. We like BW Plus hotels and this one was a great value, decent location. Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was messy in the morning. Only a few tables and there was syrup and crumbs on several and although there were several employees in the area, there was no effort to wipe the tables between guests. Small thing but important. OK for hotel for a quick sleep and shower.
Always an enjoyable and a pleasant stay. Cleanliness of the rooms are always wonderful. The cancer until breakfast was very enjoyable. I love having the coffee all day. Staying at best western is always my first choice
Everything was okay BUT the linens!! There was pubic hair in the wash clothes and long strands of brown/black hair on and in every towel but one in the room. My fiance is bald and I have red hair so it couldn't have been our hair. I will not be staying at this location ever again because cleanliness is clearly a second thought. I guess I got what I paid for. The manager did address this and he was extremely nice and embarrassed.
Not sure why this was a BW Plus as it was a fairly basic hotel. I have to say though that staff were very good and when there was an issue it was passed to other staff members which was encouraging. However, we had some issues with our room which resulted in a rather unpleasant stay which they apologized for but it was unpleasant none the less. The price was also way too high for the area.
The hotel is a little hard to get to for it is on a side road. It is a slightly older hotel that is very well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and the room very clean. The staff was great. They went out of their way to make sure you had all you needed.
Upon our arrival to the hotel, we were greeted warmly by the front desk attendant. Our room was clean and well maintained. It surprised us to find both a mini fridge and microwave. Of course this pleased us as it was a cost savings to warm up leftover restaurant food. The recreation center had a few cardio machines and universal-a great way to maximize the space. The mounted TV was an added plus (for those that like to work out with one). I did recommend that they ventilate the space better or add fans. By far breakfast was one of the best I've had at a smaller hotel like this. Not to mention, the service was outstanding! Finally, it was nice to be within walking distance of a host of restaurants and stores. I would definitely return to BW Plus Slidell.
The folks at this Best Western were great! Should I used the word "Best"? When our Ionosphere bus arrived, they were very helpful at bringing our luggage to the room, as well as showing us where to go. Due to our early departure time, they came in early to open the breakfast early for us, and the folks were quite nice and helpful. Say, "HI!" to Belinda, OK?
The front desk staff went out of their way to make our visit very pleasant. We had intended to stay one night but ended up staying two nights. The breakfast was excellent and well stocked. The rooms were clean plus quiet and the beds very comfortable. If we are ever in the area again, this will be our hotel!!
Excellent hotel. Close to New Orleans. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. Had to wait for our check in but was ready when we returned. Didn't use the pool so no comment. Would recommend for a good nights rest.
I tried to call front desk for an hour and 15 minutes about the noise level in the lobby (right outside our room) from 11pm-12:15am with no answer. (A member of the loud group in the lobby did answer the phone at one point because the ringing phone was bothering their party in the lobby and told me no one was at the desk.) Finally received an answer at 12:15am by a staff member who had just arrived to work and was told she would be calling the police to handle the situation with the noisy people in the lobby. The people did leave at that point. My concern is not only my family not being able to sleep due to the noise level but lack of the presence of a staff member for over an hour. A manager I spoke with offered to refund $7 of our stay and hung up on me when I told him I didn't believe that was an adequate refund given the situation and that no one was at the hotel to handle the situation while it was going on. He then tried to tell me that he was there at that time and never heard the phone ring which was a total lie because I called the front desk every 10-15 minutes from 11pm until I received an answer at 12:15am. When I questioned him about changing his story from what he told me at check out yesterday, he said he was mistaken about the time he was at the hotel because the clock on his phone was set wrong. I do not know who was supposed to be on staff between 11pm and midnight, but I believe he is making things up to cover for himself or another employee who was supposed to be on a duty. At this point I do not know which I am more upset about, being woken up and having no one there to handle the problem or the lying manager who is giving me the run around and says he can only refund $7 and some change as compensation. I fully expected at least a 50% refund of our stay but now would like a 100% refund due to the way the manager has lied and refuses to refund more than $7.
I visited this hotel after picking up a friend from the air port, and the experience was quite pleasant! The hotel clerk, Dennis, was especially wonderful. He was courteous, eager to help, and professional! We will definitely be back!

The quality of hotel is beyond its price! They have nice breakfast, clean room, even a small gym. It is a walking distance to major fast food and malls. Convenient located off the high way. A good option if you have budget constraint

This is a nice hotel and has a great breakfast served starting a 6:00 am everyday and that is great if you are there on Business. The breakfast has a very good with a large selection.The room are very quite and clean. In addition there several good restaurants in the area like Texas Road House, Outback and some very good local restaurants as well.
This was our 2nd Best Western in three nights and once again we were not disappointed. Great place, great people, rooms were awesome, everything worked, breakfast was good with many good choices. Staff were great and gave us great instructions on where to go eat. Overall, really great place although I hate your parking lot, lol, too confusing but even with that if we are ever back there we will stay here again.
We had no real issues with this hotel. Nothing really stood out as much more than average. The bath towels were very small and kind of starchy. The free breakfast was pretty good. Overall, it just wasn't memorable.
I was on a little trip to Alabama to see some friends I have not seen in years. This hotel was one of the top rated, so I booked a room for the night. The lady who's name I cannot remember was truly helpful at check in, and let me know where to go get food as it was really late. In the morning Dennis at the front desk was also incredibly helpful, he was able to give me information about some construction being done on the Mississippi Alabama border. That way I could go around it, and save my self a lot of time getting to my destination. I do not pass through the Louisiana area much. But I will most definitely stay here again, if I am ever down this way. The staff at this place makes it 5 stars all the way! They also have a great newly updated look to the hotel, and the breakfast is good as well.
I did a lot of research before deciding to stay at this Best western. Many sites and lots of review reading. We were looking forward to staying at such a highly rated hotel. A day before our stay we had a family emergency and could not travel. I 1st called Best western but was told I booked from some where else and they could do nothing. I booked from Best western.com....they too said too bad ! I than called the Hotel direct and Talked to Dennis....he had enough compassion and understanding to take care of things. A prayer goes out to you Dennis ! So I learned in the future to call hotels directly and make reservations.
While this was an older place, they seem to have updated the flooring and room furniture. The toilets remain and are very low, so taller folks will have to bend knees a bit. Quiet and clean. Breakfast area was a bit small, but selection was good. The parking lot is also a bit small. Seems to be crowded out by the Country Inn and Suites built adjacent to this building.
This is a very nice clean and up to date hotel. Facilities are kept neat and clean, room was wonderful. They have a really good breakfast with all the essentials. The staff are all neat and portray a professional appearance and are very helpful with any questions.

New mattresses, pillows, and bedding were very comfortable. Hallways and guest room had a “clean” smell. Sheets were a high quality thread count and so relaxing after a long day on the road. This was a great experience, overall!
Solid business class hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room and amenities are all very good. The bath towels are small and scratchy but the shower is good. The TV doesn't have a 'guide' channel which is an inconvenience. The breakfast provided is near restaurant quality and is a highlight for this hotel. Overall, I'd rate this property as very good!
The French Quarter was all booked up because of the Music Festival so we decided to give Slidell a try. The Best Western was our hotel for two nights. The room was very clean, spacious, in good repair, and except for the toilet, very comfortable. The toilet was one of those little short ones and was not made for 70+-year olds to comfortably get on and off of - but, being fairly thin and in reasonable shape, we managed. The hotel looked like it was in a safe location, surrounded mainly by other hotels, restaurants, and other businesses. The staff was friendly and helpful and there was a breakfast included in the price; nothing exceptional, but what you would expect from a mid-price hotel. The dining area, (like the lobby and business counter), was small and somewhat cramped, but we were able to find places to sit both mornings. We hoped to take advantage of the pool, but its location was between the parking lot and the entrance drive and not very private or appealing - I don't know where else they could have put it because the property was very small and barely fit the hotel and parking lot. Anyway, I couldn't give it five stars because nothing was really exceptional, just very adequate. We won't hesitate to stay here again when we just want a place to sleep between trips in to New Orleans.
We stayed overnight while traveling from state to state. The breakfast was awesome! The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was new, with nice modern look. The wifi was easy to access. We would stop here again.
Perfect stopping point after a long drive down to New Orleans. Convenient location just 30 minutes away, very clean and updated. Didn't like the sink and mirror separate from the bathroom, since we were traveling with others, but not a deal breaker. Priced right---I would definitely stay again.
Block of rooms for wedding party/guests/family.. The day of wedding canceled 3 rooms and blamed it on corporate office mix-up.. Very upset having reserved these rooms 8 months in advance in some cases..

Ah, the Best Western “Plus” in Slidell... We stayed here for 4 nights for a family visit to New Orleans (March 2018) Location was fine, price was a tad high. Staff was very friendly, but oh so many problems... We booked an “accessible” room with 2 queen beds. Unfortunately, the room was designed by morons. We couldn't even get in the room because the bathroom door had been left open. With the bathroom door open, there wasn't enough room to get our wheelchair by the door to get to the rest of the room. Once in the room, you had to close the bathroom door, get real close to the exit door, open the bathroom door, then you could go in the bathroom. The tub was a modern marvel. I have never seen a tub with a shower and no tub spout. So taking a bath would take hours to fill up using the shower head. But dont try to use the assist rails to get back out, due to the structural cracks in the shower wall. Also, dont fall into the floor drain, no telling what diseases lived in there. Want a room with a view? Check out this one! Yes, that is the awning for the covered entrance... who needs to look outside anyway... Unless you want to scream “SHUT-UP!!!” to all the construction workers that leave very loudly every morning between 4-4:30 AM. Not to mention the Rap Mogul 2 rooms down from us who decided to have a marijuana & hooker party one evening .. (thanks for the free contact high. My daughter loved her first illegal drug experience!) of course this was reported to hotel staff. They quickly addressed this illegal activity... by spraying tons of air freshener in the hallway... nice job! Beds, yes they have them. Comfortable, only if you like very hard beds or are used to sleeping on concrete. So hard, that I actually slept on 6 pillows one night. On the bright side, the facility was very clean. Rooms were cleaned well every day, although the staff regularly blocked the hallways which is hard for a chair user.. We never ate the free breakfast. It looked fine, normal hotel food. Nothing special to note. After drinking the free in-room coffee using tap water, we learned a valuable lesson. We then opted for Chick-Fil-A and Cracker Barrel each morning (DONT DRINK THE WATER!!!) Will we go back, not a chance. For $130 a night, we really expected alot more. Like I said, we never found the “Plus” that they mentioned. Other gripes: the in room safe didnt work the hot water in the sink & shower took 9 minutes to warm up No extra blankets
I recently booked a room at this hotel using a third party website. I made the reservation for the same day at about 11pm, which caused a problem on the website and automatically listed "today" as the following day, I assume because we booked the room so close to midnight. Well, we called the third party website to sort things out and they were totally helpful. Then I attempted to call the Best Western-- wow, what a difference. The Best Western manager Britney was very warm and helpful. They worked quickly to help me out, even though the hotel was in no way at fault. The hotel spoke with me and Priceline separately about four different times, which is going above and beyond what they had to do. I eventually got refunded by the third party website, only because the Best Western was so persistently kind. I am grateful. With such professional, warm staff, I will certainly stay at this hotel the next time I make a trip to New Orleans. They turned a bad experience into a good experience. Thank you again, Britney!
We have stayed at many Best Western properties. Pros: Cordial night clerk, bed was good, large screen TV w/good channels, ok wi-fi, AC quiet. Cons: Towels were small, few and scratchy, no lotion provided in room, breakfast-stale muffins and bread, watered down eggs, fire alarm went off but no one notified us to leave room or gave any instructions or information as to why. Overall just not the quality we have experienced from Best Western Plus Hotels.
Great hotel! Breakfast was fantastic! Biscuits were nice and warm, perfect for putting gravy over. Eggs were great, one day they were circle shaped next day they were triangle with cheese and peppers inside, yum! Staff was friendly and had told for Mardi Gras in New Orleans. There was a landline phone hanging on the wall in the bathroom, I've never seen that at a hotel. The room had there landlines. The only downside was the distance from New Orleans if you want to see parades, there are a few that are a couple blocks from the hotel.
This Best Western offers clean rooms and good service. There is free parking and internet to all guests. It is centrally located right off the freeway. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the New Orleans area.
While my wife was recovering from a medical emergency at the hospital, my daughter and I stayed with the Best Western hotel, which overall was a very good experience and convenient to the hospital, with many restaurants near by.
Mom's getting older, Ive lost sooo many influential people last year, and I just needed to be home again. So me & mom stole away for a quick pop up visit. Felt good being home w/familiar people, rules, & personalities. OMG, I could go to Walmart & buy liquor. On a Sunday. Before noon. King Cake, seafood, all my favorite restaurants. Basically, I visited most all I needed to see, put flowers on dad's grave, & realized just how much I'm missed & have been missing. Best Western was a convenient, familiar, comfy spot that provided stellar service for me to rest. Thanks, I can't wait to come back.
Dennis was extremely helpful at the front desk with helping us with our reward points and very patient & friendly. Our room was very nice & clean. Breakfast was cheese grits, eggs,french toast sticks,hashbrowns, sausage, oatmeal,fruit, bagels,etc. We would definitely stay again. Quiet also. I would stay here again!

Actually will not be certain if what was charged in my card. My bank says that my card was authorized. They say no they used 3 different cards when I was told they needed a second. Money was available on everyday. WAS LOCKED OUT OF MY ROOM bc of this. Other wise. Your basic 3 star hotel. Clean and decent accommodations Area has many places to eat or shop
I stayed here during hurricane Irma when I fled from south Florida to use the time off to spend with my boyfriend in Slidell. It's great quality for the price and I have absolutely no complaints. It's quiet and the staff are courteous.
Clean, friendly, comfy bed and well appointed room. A free breakfast bar. Also a small gym and outdoor pool (we stayed in December so we didn't use the pool) Easy off and on from I-59 We were on our way to the port of New Orleans for a cruise. It is thirty minutes from this motel. Perfect place to stop. Nice restaurants, shopping and Walmart nearby.
We stayed because our home had no electricity for the weekend because of snow. We had our kids with us. The rooms were clean, the price was good, but there was some noise in the hotel and would not allow us a late checkout the next day because we were not sure when the power would be on. There is a nice breakfast buffet included hat we enjoyed . Would stay again if necessary . Close to many reataurants. Pillows were nice but mattresses were pretty old.
The room was very good, I loved having breakfast on the site. I had healthy choices. The bathroom had great water pressure (wonderful shower), and I liked the sink in the room instead of the bathtub area.
The rooms were clean and accommodating, location left a little to be desired just in a real congested area overall a satisfying experience, The front desk employees work for and would polite and friendly
Stayed here for 4 weeks. Staff was very friendly and offered advice on restaurants and activities. Coffee was not the best, and breakfast was ok, but the hotel is right behind a Chick Fila. Room was clean and well maintained.
Breakfast was delicious!! Rooms were super clean and very spacious. Would stay again. Didn't get to use the outdoor pool but it looked very clean. Staff was friendly. Supplied me with free razor and toothbrush/paste since I forgot mine.
I stay in a lot of hotels & can say that they really try at this one. Very well done for the price. This is a great hotel to stay at. Comfortable beds, nice breakfast friendly staff. You can never judge a hotel by the people that stay at it, but you could tell that they try to accommodate everyone.
This was a horrible night. Three men came in to the room next to and were extremely loud, waking us up. They were continually talking extremely loud in a foreign language. We called the front desk to complain. The desk clerk called the room and they just laughed about it. The same three were at breakfast with the same attitude. I feel that they should have been evicted. We got no sleep after midnight. The desk clerk did not care. We talked to the manager the next morning, he seemed concerned and was going to consult with his boss. I wrote a poor review to Best Western. I got a reply from the Hotel Management saying they would try to do better in the future, but offered no compensation to me. I will not visit this hotel again. My rating is very poor overall.
Nice hotel, close to freeway, free parking and free breakfast. Rooms are clean and breakfast had a decent variety. Location was nice with a variety of restaurants & gas stations nearby. Will stay again if we're in the area.
Do not stay here we were disgusted with our room it stunk terribly! The very strong mold smell was causing us to get headaches and when we reported that and the urin smell on the floor the clerk acted like it was no big deal. Did not offer to check it out or move us to another room. And when we abruptly left she did not bother to ask why or offer any discount or refund! We pd 100 for that room and it was rated a 3 star! It is NOT worth that!!
I was actually impressed by this hotel. The presentation of the hotel was generally great. I appreciated the free breakfast, which was good. It seemed like there was no hot water dispenser for tea (had to ask for this personally). The staff overall were friendly and helpful.
The room as a bit cramped. The lobby was also rather small and had an odd layout. The parking lot was extremely tight. I was concerned several times while going in and out that I might hit someone else's car. The beds were ok. Overall pretty clean except for the vent in the bathroom by the toilet. It was caked with dust on the inside and looked liked it has never been cleaned. Seriously, it was really gross!! I did inform the front desk clerk. Staff was ok. The lady at check in was much friendlier than the gentlemen at check out. Don't get me wrong, he wasn't rude, mean, etc., just didn't have much of a personality. Can't say anything regarding breakfast as we did not consume any. Did have in room coffee, but we weren't impressed. Even though our stay was acceptable I'm not sure I would stay there again. I feel like the room size and overall quality of the hotel didn't justify the price we paid.

It is an older hotel, so we could see it was not in the best condition. Great location, near restaurants, gas stations, and easy access to the freeway. Good breakfast and great coffee! It was a bit pricey for the condition.
Driving through the parking lot is not easy , especially at night.. All else was as good as a motel can be . Food not great , but adequate . Saves a ot of time from having to leave for an outside restaurant .
I had a great stay at this location! The only issues I had is the parking is kind of tight and so is the breakfast area. Just a little too cramped to try to fix breakfast. Even though our room wasn't ready when we arrived, Dennis was very pleasant and assured us that our room would be ready within the hour. Which it was. Thank you Dennis and staff!
The staff was good and the rooms were fine. However, BW only offers one type of pillow and they need to change that. It is too fat for us. Also, in this hotel you can hear sound from a room above. The room upstairs from us had people coming in at 10 pm and stomping around until midnight...and then again starting at 6 am.
Good place . Easy access. They had nice clean rooms. But the ice machine on second floor was not working. The door to outside on right side of building didn't lock. I was impressed with the nice comfortable bed.
Staff was very helpful and friendly, Different hot breakfast everyday. Close to New Orleans for party and fun or just take in the sites. Not far from the WWII museum and Mississippi's gulf beaches. Great price for the location. Many restaurants walking distant.
The rooms were clean. The Friendly staff was much appreciated. Breakfast was tasty and had a array of breakfast choices. We requested a roll-a-way and it was already in roomwaiting for us. The pool was refreshing after a day of traveling. We were running from Irma (hurricane)
Needed a hotel for a few hours that night.. We got to Slidell around 12:30 a.m. Stayed here a few hours to rest before a swamp tour then on to New Orleans. Not quite worth $105 for a Thursday night but gave us a place to lay our head.

Hotel was undergoing renovations. Would have been nice if they had this info on their site as we would have stayed somewhere else. The breakfast was not very good and the rooms need updating so I can see why they are doing renovations. On the plus side, the customer service was quite impressive which is why I gave the hotel 3 stars.
Very clean looks like carpet and beds had not been long replaced, everything worked, AC took a little bit to cool down but room was not hot. Very updated motel but they are working on updating the lobby . Friendly staff also makes for a great stay. was a little hard to find since it is behind another motel and a business but is worth looking for..
Terrible service at this hotel! there was wet carpet and a terrible smell..and the so call manager dennis did nothing to resolve it, not even an offer to move us to another room.we only stayed there because it was closer to missssippi. we will never stay at that location again. we were there for a funeral, which made it even worse.
We did not encounter any issues during our stay at BW Slidell Inn. The front desk staff and other staff at the hotel were very kind, helpful and offered good suggestions for our visit to New Orleans! Will stay again.
I never stay anywhere else when I am traveling in the Slidell, LA area. This property always has in the past and continues to provide amazing service, quality accommodations, excellent breakfast and wonderful amenities (pool, work out room, etc). I have no reason to even check out any other hotel. I am sold on this one!
I always stay here when vacay in or near New Orleans. Very reasonable rates, pleasant staff. Although on-going lobby renovations were in swing, dust was controlled, lobby was clean, quiet, and the front desk clerk was pleasant. Breakfast held conviently in nearby lobby area and was served hot. I was also allowed early check in. The hotel is located around the corner of choice restaurants to include 2 of my favorites, Baskin Robbins, and a beautiful Mexican restaurant named carreta's. Hope you choose BWP for your next visit to Slidell, I know I will.
Very good, clean hotel. Nothing wrong with the hotel itself, just the price tag. $93.00, including tax, is WAY too much to pay for a mid-week stay. I could find a smaller name hotel that would be about as comfortable, for $15-$25 cheaper per night. Best Western needs to lower their price quite a bit if they want me to keep staying there.
When we travel we look for a safe place to stay and the security of our vehicle. With this at BW we also get breakfast, confortable room and very polite staff. We try to stay at BW but not always successful.
Stopped here for the night while en route to TX. Stayed here with my husband and our 4 children. The room was clean for the most part. The staff were very friendly. The only complaint I have is that the rug felt sticky and oily and the sheets felt damp as if they didn't dry them enough. I would've said something but we were so tired we just fell asleep. In the morning the continental breakfast was good. My kids wanted waffles but their waffle maker was not working. Checking out was quick and the attendant was super friendly, giving us suggestions to kid friendly places to visit in Houston.
This hotel was very unethical and nice. They were doing construction so you couldn't use the front door, you had to come in through the side. Working with he public, I however understand, if you want improvement and you want expansion you must do construction. Nice breakfast, clean room, friendly staff.
This is a decent enough place, but the rooms smell moldy. It was clean, the bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast was average, not excitingly special, but good enough.. they had bacon and that is good. I don't recommend staying in Slidell unless you are really tired. It is kind of a sketchy town.
Anytime we come to Slidel, LA we stay here. The customer service is amazing and rooms are all ways clean and smell good. Brittany is AWESOME!!!!. we were checking in and I had become sick with fever on our drive and felt horrible. Our room was not ready yet so she put us in a different room and upgraded us. Bless her heart. It meant to world to me to beable to get checked in and lay down. Thank you Brittany and Slidell you rock!!!!
Only downfall was a/c not keeping up with the extreme heat during the day, very low water pressure in rooms and slow internet and the pool was a lot dirtier than the pictures show online. Other than that everything was great! Great location, comfy beds and pillows, good free breakfast, friendly service and clean hotel.
Very nice hotel! Didn't expect to be stopping here, but I'm glad we did. Ate dinner a very nice local place and got some rest. Great service from the staff! The only real "problem" was finding it, the navigation on my phone took us a roundabout way and it was a bit hard to find the entrance.
It was a very clean and friendly place to stay! They were willing to help us with any questions or requests we had! I was very impressed! I would strongly recommend this hotel to any families headed on a vacation. It was our first family vacation and we enjoyed the stay!
This hotel's staff is the worst and does not offer solutions to issues. The staff is not professional and do not know what customer service means. We will never stay at this hotel again and will never recommend them.
Rooms clean, good internet service, bed comfortable. Kids liked the pool. Location is easy access to interstate and some good local restaurants. For a weekend trip great value. Front office and cleaning staff very friendly and accompanying.
We only stayed one night. The room was clean...the best part. Older hotel, very hard beds, lots of noise from the air conditioner (which didn't cool very well). Decent place to lay your head if you can ignore the noise and hard beds. Shower water pressure was ok. Continental breakfast was, well, continental. Not the worst place we've stayed but I wouldn't run back.
Our experience was great in all areas of this hotel. Wonderful place to stay!!! Staff was great. Outside and inside of hotel was very neat and well kept. Breakfast was really good, and our room was so clean and, and the decor and layout of it was absolutely great. Bed was amazing!!!, and that's a big plus for me! Was a wonderful experience. My family of 4 stayed here for one night in June 2017. To me it is just a basic hotel with a free breakfast. Nothing special, nothing bad. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked fine. The breakfast was fine, about what I had expected but the space was very small and congested during breakfast. They have a small, outdoor, saltwater pool. While I was there they had a group of no less than 15 young (6 yrs old?) girls softball players staying. They were running around screaming everywhere they went. They were even running up and down the halls at 9:30 at night. This really wasn't the hotel's fault, it was the parents not being parents. I actually heard the manager tell someone in the group that they must quiet down due to the complaints received. Oh, free cookies at the front desk too!
Best Western Plus has been my choice hotel in Slidell for the past 3 years. They are always clean and so very hospitable. The location is most convenient and the breakfast is always great. It's my first choice in Slidell always for my dollar.
From the start everything was WONDERFUL!!! The breakfast was delicious and there was a wide variety of foods. The staff was very kind and helpful. The fitness center was great as well as the pool. Nothing negative to say at all!!!
It was late. I was exhausted. I tried to do the Hotels Tonight app and ended up across the interstate and wouldn't even enter the building. I drove to the other side of the interstate and walked right in and was helped by the nicest lady. She even met the online price for me and set me up. I was there just to shower and sleep but being by myself I wanted to feel safe too. This fit the bill. The bed and shower were perfect. Breakfast wasn't great aside from the waffle maker. Everything was cold and the other guests and I sat and watched an employee stock up on her breakfast. Nothing wrong with that, just a bit odd at the sheer quantity she was grabbing. Lol. I'd stop here again and recommend it to everyone.
Extremely clean and super friendly staff! Kate the nice British girl at the front desk pointed out a few good restaurants to eat. She was super nice and good with directions. I would definitely stay here again when I decide to return for a New Orleans trip.
Excellent service and particularly pleased with service at the front desk. Kate and Dennis were wonderful and so helpful. Our 2nd trip back to this hotel. We had to travel for a family emergency and did not arrive at the hotel until after midnight and the front desk personnel made check in so simple. We are grateful for the kindness shown to us at this most difficult time.
Nice rooms & breakfast. Only complaint was the oatmeal was barely warm and we wish the pool was larger... the motel 6 a block up had a pool 2x as big. Friendly staff. King size bed was comfy with plenty of pillows.
All front desk staff encountered were excellent-very helpful, friendly and professional. My 3rd time and would stay again. This property is wonderful. You get a good value & property is clean and well- maintained. This was third year I've stayed here on way to Florida & I think they've even refreshed decor and mattress again so all stays fresh and clean
Needed a place to stay overnight after attending a wedding in Florida. The location was convenient and easy to find. The room decor was modern (not outdated), bed was comfortable, and the breakfast selection was great!
We had a great two day stay at this hotel. Extremely clean and very helpful staff. Breakfast was really good. Many hot items to choose from and different on both days. Did not hear our neighbors, very quiet. Beds very comfortable. Had read that some people had trouble finding it. We used google map and had no problems. Will be staying here again when we visit New Orleans again.
Disappointed. Breakfast lady picked up breakfast well before time was up and two boys were trying to get something to eat. I had to ask the lady for a plate for hem and I had to get their silverware. Asked one lady for help and she kept going because she did not understand English.
I rolled in on saturday no reservation,or where i was going to stay when i got into the area. But Brittany checked rooms for me to see what she could do for me .I needed atleast 4 days . and shore as it is she foun d a room that a man just gave up cause he didnt like it . I LOVED IT :) . i will use Best Western Again and Again in the future i have been treated like it was home . :) And i was the guy who roled in on a saturday with no reservations and the scedule showed all booked . And shore it to be Brittany found one for me and for the days i needed . So thanks again Best Western Managment for having a dedicated person that cares about a service and a quality with it and thats being treated like a person (Thanks Brittany) Have an Amazing Day to all at the Best Western here in slidell LA. My husband and I stayed at this location from June 3-4, just one overnight on a road trip. We are diamond select members and are not strangers to the Best Western chain. Brittany greeted my husband at the front desk and was absolutely charming. Very professional, and clearly exhausted from all of the customers in the lobby, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. When we entered our room, everything appeared clean until there were a plethora of long silver hairs found throughout our room. Not to mention a USED band aid stuck to the night stand beside the bed. We laughed it off, but it was a very unpleasant sight, all of it.
Great room for the night! Brittany at the front desk was extremely helpful! Room was very clean, and despite what other reviewers said, it isn't difficult to find. We will definitely stay here again next time we come through.
There are two over-twenty-foot-tall signs on roads ...nowhere near the hotel. My GPS drove me around for about ten minutes before it could find the place. As I walked in, the customer in front of me was complaining about the fact his GPS could not find the place. The room was adequate. However, for a good hotel, the bath towels were small ... like hand towels. Although the shower and commode are enclosed and the sink is outside in the main room, we were given one small piece of soap for the room. When we tried watching TV, the channel guide on the remote control did not work and there was no written guide to the channels in the room. In the morning (first day of three day stay) we left to explore New Orleans. When we returned in the middle of the afternoon, The sheets had been removed, but the room had not been "made up." We had to call twice to get someone to bring us sheets. I found that rather shabby for the price I paid. When we tried to eat the free breakfast, we could not sit. The tables were all filled with people and kids eating, drinking coffee or just sitting talking on their phones. I don't know the solution to this problem, but your free breakfast was not available to us. I actually chose this hotel because it was priced above most of the other hotels in Slidell. I won't stay there again.
This particular hotel has great accommodations and it's within walking distance to many eatery's. The pool isn't that big but it's suffice. I would definitely recommend this hotel for group stay. The staff made it easy for groups to stay together on the same floor.
Feeling happy in Slidell,Louisiana. Experience was very nice. Room and area very clean. Breakfast had a variety and it was good. Coffee was fresh and hot with variety of creamers. Staff was available to always lend a hand if needed and to refill items.
Toni that works at the front desk is a sweetheart. I don't usually review hotels but Toni made our stay wonderful. She made more cookies for us because we missed the first batch and anticipated our need for pool towels. The rooms were clean and modern. PLUS - the A.C. was appropriately sized for the room.
Great rooms and amenities for the price. Brittany was super helpful with working large group reservation. She was extremely accommodating. Easy access to NOLA or Gulfport. Plenty of local shops in the area.

I worked all time on the road and stayed in lot of hotels between Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana. In Best Western Plus Slidell Inn I haved one of the best experience ever. Starting with the ladies in the front desk and the ladies that served the breakfast and clean the rooms. Sometimes we asked for something special in the breakfast and they served next day. Rooms extremely clean and organized.
A fine Best Western property. We were greeted by Brittany who was delightfully friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, quiet, and well furnished. The property is close to numerous restaurants several within walking distance. One of the nicer motels at which we have ever stayed. Be sure to consider this Best Western property if you're ever in the Slidell area, you won't be sorry. A very pleasant experience.
The entire staff were very friendly and tended to our needs quickly, efficiently, an professionally. We haven't been here for 10 minutes and we can already tell this place deserves 5 stars!! Brittany was very sweet and gave us a wonderful first impression. We recommend for anyone to stay here. There are an abundance of restaurants near by and New Orleans is just a hop, skip, and a jump over the bridge. No more than 20 minutes!
All the usual for a clean decent hotel on the road. The exceptional part is the large number of restaurants and stores within a couple of miles and Brittany's knowledge and direction to what you want. A Chinese restaurant I would have ignored from the curb appeal turned out some of the best food I have had in decades, Thank You Brittany. Longhorn was good also the second night. The location just far enough outside of New Orleans was perfect for early to the WWII museum and out of the city before dark. Good location, great staff.

Family of 4 had a room with twin queen beds. Plenty of room and wardrobe space for 2 night stay. Room has coffee machine, fridge with small freezer compartment and microwave. Generally clean but did find a discarded false eyelash! Breakfast good and plentiful. Staff very friendly and helpful particularly Brittany. Hotel in good position with restaurants nearby
We stayed here from out of town for a death in the family. After we checked in and was leaving for the memorial, 3 or 4 people were outside in front of the motel with a 6 pack of beer. I didn't really care for that. I will find somewhere else to stay the next time I am down there.
We stayed for 2 nights on the second night our room got a little warm. Everything else was excellent. We would stay again. Breakfast was a very nice plus to our stay but it ends a 9:00 am needs to stay open until 10:00.
Heater did not work in our room during the end of November. I was traveling with two toddlers. Thank god I travel with my Marine Corps sleeping system. The lack of service did not help matters either.
Went in early November and was not disappointed. Very clean, very quiet and a great place to stay. The staff is wonderful and go aboveboard to ensure that your stay is wonderful. I must put over the first Front Desk Girl. Her name is Toni... She was the best!!! Anything that you need, Toni will get it for you!... Brittany, Jessica, Kirstin and Dennis are the bomb! They went above and beyond to do what they could to keep you happy... Kudos to the whole staff...
We were just passing through Slidell on our way home, so this hotel was perfect for a one night stay. The staff members were courteous and professional. The free breakfast was fantastic and the hotel was overall very clean and tidy. The rooms were updated with new decor and fixtures and were very clean. The beds were also quite comfortable.
I would like to thank Toni, Brittany , Miss Lauren Gibson and all that I have not named including housekeeping! This is a very nice place to stay. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, very accommodative to every one and we highly recommend this place and in walking distance of outside shopping mall. Will definitely stay here again! Just off I-10 and only 20/25 miles from New Orleans/French Quarter, clean, quite place to lay your head. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. All of the front desk personale were great but I am only going to mention Toni,( personal promise). Free Wi-Fi and breakfast. Not coffee and donuts... Eggs, waffles,sausage,bagels,biscuits and gravy,juice and more... Great place to stay
Excellent value with good amenities for the money in a quiet and peaceful environment. Professional and courteous staff. Short drive to NOLA. I booked at this location after reviewing several options including New Orleans which is only a short drive away from Slidell. When comparing options this one seemed to be the best value overall. The check-in and out was quick and easy. My experience here was better than anticipated.
We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and quiet our room was considering the hotel was at full capacity. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good, and all the electronics in the room worked well.
Dennis was VERY helpful and courteous. He helped us with directions to the French Quarter in New Orleans. Without his guidance we could have paid up to forty five dollars for parking. However, he directed us to a safe location that was free and close to all the establishments. Furthermore, he made several suggestions for eating and shopping venues that were most beneficial to us. He made our visit there one we'll never forget. It was a blast.
Stayed here for one night after flying into Louis Armstrong airport. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Fresh baked cookies were available in the afternoon. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a good variety of items. Had no problems with anything in the hotel. Since it was a short stay, we did not take advantage of any other amenities.
Rooms comfortable and great staff. Lauren Gibson-manager, Toni Sevin really went above in beyond to make me aware of the area and followed up to make sure I was comfortable with my stay. I had the opportunity to call back in for more information and Kristin greeted me on the phone and answered my questions. The plus on this list cation is because of these folks professional caring manner.
Tacky shower covered closet opening. Some ones initials carved in 4 inch letters in coffee table. Picture didn't fill TV screen. 2 to 3 inch black strip at top and bottom. Was told I couldn't get a complimentary upgrade as a Diamond member because the hotel was booked. At 7 AM there was a total of 13 cars in the lots, at least a couple would be employees.
We were a little disappointed in the property. When we arrived, it was clear the cleaners had forgotten to finish cleaning our room. There was a wet towel in the tub, and the soap, shampoo, etc were just sitting on the counter. Otherwise, it was clean, though. The toilet didn't flush properly, the bathroom door and the hot water faucet both squeaked, and the hall door had to be pushed hard in order to lock the deadbolt. The curtain over the closet was pulled toward the hall when the door opened, so was a little quirky. For breakfast, the employees didn't seem to be quite on top of the items needing to be replenished, so there was a little wait for a couple things. The parking lot is easily maneuverable in a small car, but there are quite a few sharp angles for a larger vehicle, making it quite difficult to maneuver. However, the room was a little larger than some properties, and the front desk employees were very nice. Overall, not unpleasant at all, just a little different than what we expected.
Enjoyed our stay very pleasurable. Your Front Desk Clerk Kristina was a ray of sunshine, The breakfast was delicious. Not very often can you get a hot breakfast. Excellent location. The pool was also a great experience. Rooms are clean and staff very helpful.
Overall good place to stay overnight. This place is a good bang for the buck. The breakfast was a little off maybe because I got their late and it was close to closing meal hours. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I am not sure I like the design of the bathroom and the area where you wash your face separated. However, I know that would not be an overnight quick fix item.
Kristina at the front desk was so pleasant and nice. She gave me the rundown on when breakfast was and what food they would have. The burritos were awesome. Yum! She explained exactly how to find to my room with ease.
This motel while not brand new and updated is clean and comfortable, The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The only "fly" in the ointment is the kitchen staff? They don't speak english or at least pretend not to. The food and coffee is cold and they are slow to refill.
I booked this hotel through a work travel system. I was actually a bit worried because the price was relatively low. It was fantastic. Close to highway access, great staff, the rooms were clean and quite nice. Thanks to Ms Toni and Ms Krisitn for always having a smile on their face and friendly service. The entire staff represented your hotel professionally, and most important to me personally, friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this hotel - it is close to various businesses you may need to visit and an easy drive to New Orleans. Price can't be beat.
We stayed at this BW last week. We were greeted by Dennis, desk clerk when we arrived. Dennis was friendly, helpful, and offered great advise to help us find a restaurant and place to do some necessary shopping. We arrived early but this was not treated as an inconvenience by Dennis or other staff members. Being from out of town and traveling a distance we were happy to be able to rest. Of course being a visitor to the area we asked for directions and assistance with choosing a good place to have dinner with some local flare. Dennis supplied us with a list of restaurants and their locations. We chose NOLA which was great and close to the motel. The food was delicious. We would like to thank all of the staff but Dennis stands out as a young man going out of his way to assist the patrons of the motel.
I stayed here for a week while working at the Stennis Space Center for the week. The distance to work was an easy trip up route 10. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Everyone I met at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there the next time I am in town. I love that the weekday breakfast begins at 6am since I had to leave for work at 6:30 am each day. The breakfast was great with a variety of hot food to choose from.
We had stayed in the french quarter one night so decided to stay here on our last night to save a little money. The hotel is located about 40 minutes from the French Quarter. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous. Both hot and cold items were available for breakfast.
Kristin at the front counter was very friendly in the most professional sense possible. Anytime I needed something she had no problem going well out of her way for me, exceeding any expectations that I may have had going into my stay. Breakfast offered a wide variety of food that tasted great without feeling like I just ate the typical low quality hotel breakfast. The room was spacious and felt like it was brand new. Good water pressure and temperature as well. Air conditioner worked great and I was comfortable throughout my stay. If I ever need to be in the area again, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Everything about my stay was enjoyable and with Kristin's ability to make anyone feel like family, I am looking forward to any future stay with Best Western Plus, Slidell LA
Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was good. Close to the highway but no highway noise. Workout room was a nice plus. Refrigerator and microwave in room.
This place was such a great surprise! We stopped late at night, road weary and worn out, and this was the best hotel we stayed in our entire trip. Beautifully appointed room, super comfortable beds, very spacious accommodations, very clean, great, friendly, helpful staff. Our only complaint is we couldn't stay longer and use the pool! Great place to stay right outside of NOLA or even to test while traveling I-10.
From the moment we walked in we were greeted by Ms. Toni with a welcoming smile. The check in was quick considering I walked in with a large group in front of me but Toni was fast and efficient. Rooms were very clean and the grounds were well maintained. Large hot and cold breakfast selection. Checking out was also a pleasant experience with Ms. Kristin. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I am a local and booked a night just so that I didn't have to drive all the way home from a wedding in the area. It is also located in a safe location.
We had a small problem with the air in our room and Toni was so quick to respond. She came straight down and moved us in minutes. Never seen a hotel employee that good anywhere!!!! And we travel a lot. I think she should be the manager! She definitely deserves a raise. A rare find these days.

This hotel is the perfect spot for exploring the world of Alligators .there are many swamp tours nearby and just a short drive away is a ranch/hatchery where you can catch live alligators (mouth taped, of course).Breakfast is included and many resterants are within walking distance. New Orleans is also very close.
Very nice hotel, stayed during a motorcycle fund raiser and enjoyed this hotel and the staff was great. Location is outstanding for local restaurants and easy on and off of the interstate. Will stay at this property again next year with a doubt.
Stopped here on way home from Florida so the kids could swim, the hotel was clean and convenient to places to eat, it included a hot breakfast, looks like it was just updated, the pool was also clean. I would use this hotel again, the staff were very friendly and helpful
Room was clean. Toilet seat was not fitted correctly so it didn't cover the bottom right and my legs would touch it. That was kind of gross. Bed was comfortable but pillows were not great. Stay was overall good. However the breakfast was somewhat disappointing.
Great place to stay away from the busy city of New Orleans! We stopped here for the night on our way to Ft. Walton. Friendly staff, great breakfast, and comfy rooms made our overnight stay very enjoyable!
When we first arrived, the lady checking us in was extremely nice and overly helpful. When we came into our room, the AC wasn't working and the front desk was understanding and helpful in getting us a new room. The room was large and comfortable, and I received no problems for the duration of the stay. Dennis checked me out of the room and was also extremely helpful. My hotel card was constantly deactivated, and he informed me that my iPhone was the reason for it. So keep your phones away from the hotel card, unless you want to keep going to the front desk to get them to reactivate it. Unsure of the lady's name that was constantly running the front desk, but she was a fun lady and easy to talk to. I enjoyed just chatting with her! So shout out to her, she's a good addition to the hotel staff!
The lobby and our room was very clean. The locations was also excellent; it was located in a great location with many businesses and placed to eat within walking distance. The staff, especially Kristin, was courteous and very helpful. The value versus the price was excellent.

One of the major criteria I use when I visit is breakfast included and the ability to do a cardio workout. If those were not important to me, I would stay at Motel 6 for a lot less money. I visited this facility on my way to Orange Beach, AL from Houston. The room was adequate - not superior and not inferior. However, I woke up in the morning expecting to do an hour cardio workout with 10 to 15 minutes to spare for breakfast. When I got to the exercise the facility, I could not figure out how to turn on the elliptical. I asked for help from the front desk, I they could not figure it out either. We tried a different outlet and it came on for a second briefly and then turned off. After 15 to 20 minutes of experimentation, I concluded the problem was in my opinion a flimsy radio shack power adapter. As a result of that wasted time, I had to start on a bike, then move to the treadmill when it freed up (there were only three pieces of equipment - one of each). BY the time I finished I had also missed breakfast. I complained on checkout at the front desk, and they told me first there was no one authorized to comp me even if part because there was no manager available and even if they were around, they would not do it since I reserved and paid for the room via booking.com (via tripadvisor) and that the room was discounted already. So let me understand - they failed to have working equipment on July 4th weekend, then they never tagged the elliptical as out of order, used third party inadequate power adapters, didn't empower the front desk to 'make it right' and finally decide what to do NOT based on what happened but on how you booked your reservation! Needless to say, I am not a happy camper.
Kristin at the desk is absolutely wonderful! She made our stay very pleasant and relaxing. We arrived late and had checked another hotel but weren't impressed. The rooms are very clean, quiet, and extras are provided. This hotel is a good choice for families.
This BW is adequate. Comfortable and quiet room. I think this is the first hotel room shower I have ever been in that did not have any place for the soap... no soap dish, no ledge, no inset, no anywhere to put the soap when you are not lathering... odd.
I have come to enjoy the standards of excellent at Best Western Hotels already. I ONLY look/search for Best Westerns every time I travel, I just don't want to waste time and money to stay at other hotel with dramas and frustrations.
Got in at 3 am after a late arriving flight in New Orleans....They could not have been more accommodating! Room excellent and they allowed us a late checkout due to arrival time...Spotless with a very comfortable bed and excellent staff!
I can't recommend this hotel unless you like an overly soft mattress. Although the room appeared to be recently redecorated, the mattress was soft and uncomfortable. I did not sleep very well. The breakfast was adequate, but the breakfast room was very small. I've stayed in numerous Best Westerns and Best Western Plus's, but this one makes me wonder, why is it a BW Plus? It didn't seem to be any better than many “regular” Best Westerns.
We have stayed two times at Best Western PLUS Slidell Inn and enjoyed our stay each time. The stays were several months apart. Each time we experienced the same friendly staff and employees that made our time there very nice. We will most certainly stay there again in the future.
We have stayed at this BW a few times, and each time we are there, they have made new improvements. They have added little outdoor area for grilling and just kicking back. There was a friendly 'welcome' note in our room which was such a nice touch. We will continue to book our rooms here when travelling East, and recommend you do the same! The location is great -- just off I-10 and close to fast food and shops.
We had our Harley brought in to Slidell,Louisana for battery troubles.They couldn`t repair it till the next day.We chose the Best Western within walking distance.Tina at the desk helped us with everything wwe needed.best Best Western we have stayed at.On our trip,we have paid a lot more for a lot less.And NO PETS to deal with (Ignorant dog owners who leave the animals to bark in the room has ruined our stay before).
We have stayed here twice, before two cruises out of New Orleans. The service could not be better, breakfast is very good as well. We have zero complaints with this hotel, it is the only place we even consider when planning a cruise out of New Orleans.
We stayed at this BW overnight. The room and property was clean and comfortable.however I used my debit card to reserve the room and used my rewards points to claim a free night. Even after I specifically asked if my card was being charged and was told no my card was charged immediately for the room. I have yet to have my money returned to my card and that was approx 6 days ago. Why should I be inconvenience for BW mistake? Yet all they say is I apologize and were working on it. It sucks to be a loyal customer and be treated so badly. I'm extremely disappointed in BW I thought they were more professional than that.
WOW, NO LAUNDRY FACILITY? Who would have thought a BW wouldn't have coin operated washer/dryer on-site? No hot cocoa either. Non-smoking room still reeked of tobacco smoke. No TV channel guide in room. Noisy air-conditioner in room. Friendly front desk, though :)
We have stayed here twice the night before we left on a cruise out of New Orleans, once in 2013 and now in 2016. We love it. The clerks especially Kristin and Toni were so nice. I lost a piece of jewelry and they went above and beyound to help me look for it. Found it! Also I needed a glass of milk that night and they went to the kitchen area and brought me a glass, they didn't have to do that but they did. Saved me from leaving the hotel late at night to run to a store in a town that I was unfamiliar with. This hotel is nice and clean and we will stay again. Plus it's a hundred dollars cheaper than the ones in downtown New Orleans. Another plus the city of Slidell has some awesome restaurants. Try the Copeland's for dinner and City Beignet for great beignets and coffee.
The front desk manned by Dennis, Kristin and Toni was best of all. They were friendly and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. My room with flat screen TV, microwave, frig , safe and coffee maker was quiet and very nicely furnished. Breakfast with biscuits, grits, bacon, sausage, waffles, juice, cereal, pastries and coffee was very good every morning and free.
Best Western Slidell is a conveniently located hotel that's tucked away, yet easily accessible to restaurants, shopping and freeway access to New Orleans and beyond. Fresh Community coffee and just baked cookies are available in the lobby. Speaking of food, make yourself a golden waffle or choose from the many breakfast options (fluffy biscuits, grits...) available every morning. The front desk staff, Kristin, Toni and Dennis, are all very friendly and treat you like family. Whatever you need: best Po-Boys, souvenir shops,directions, they've got you covered!
Tina booked my stay and she was very friendly and professional. She answered any questions I had and made some great recommendations on places to eat. The room was very clean and breakfast was nice. The location was very convent to many restaurants and shopping. We will be back!

Internet connection (weak), breakfast options (extremely limited), vending choices (look at breakfast options), with that much water surrounding the area you would think the water pressure would've been stronger. reported someone smoking in the room and it took them a WHOLE 24 hours to investigate.
Very pleased with comfortable, clean room. Front desk was most pleasantly staffed, and we enjoyed the convenient outdoor pool. Very conveniently located to golf club, restaurants, and shopping. Really appreciated local coupons available at front desk.
Have stayed at this hotel many times. I use this location as a pre-cruise hotel as the rates and location are excellent. Not good with at remember names but all the front desk staff were very helpful. My girlfriend wanted fresh crawfish and we didn't know a good restaurant. The friendly front desk man suggested Vera's Seafood. Wow, this was a good restaurant for fresh crawfish and was not far from the hotel. This hotel didn't disappoint as as usual has comfortable beds and a in-room safe. Like the fact that Rousses supermarket is closeby as we managed to get fresh lobster and more crawfish to take back to the room. Yummy. Plan on using this hotel the next time that I visit New Orleans area. Thanks
Everything was nice and the breakfas was great. The only problem is that they did not have sugar free syrup. The check in went smooth and they even had cookies at the desk. The motel looked a little old but everything was clean and working.
This was a lovely big-box style hotel... clean and comfortable, with decent breakfast. Has all of the usual amenities like a fridge and microwave. Nothing to write home about per se, but for the category it did alright.
As always, my stay at this property was first rate. Staff is accommodating and goes out of their way to be sure that guest concerns are addressed. Rooms are clean and exterior/interior is beautifully appointed. This is my go-to hotel when staying in Slidell. Convenient location and easy access to Interstate as well.

The staff were good but that was all. No bath mat or hair dryer the first night. Breakfast was inedible except for the cereal and the layout was not good. It was hard to find bowls, Etc. We were only given two towels each day. I have never been to any hotel that did not leave more than two towels. Half of the entrnceway was painted yesterday amd then water was dumped on the entranceway today. Painted surfaces become very slick when wet. Could this not have been done some other time than the main check out time. The towels were subpar for a hotel 6 as was the toilet paper. I a, aware that this is not a 5 star location but for the price one certainly expects more than this. And to top it off the elevator quit work last night. I know that they had not control of this but it was definitely the last straw. I am mobility compromised so walking up or down stairs is difficult..
Great place to stay . The rooms were wonderful, clean and roomy. Special thanks to Kristin and Toni who answered all our questions and helped us book a room in Biloxi for the rest of our trip. The rest of the staff were very friendly.

The staff is very helpful and friendly, they gave us some tips on which restaurants to try and things to do in the area. The hotel looks modern and trendy. There is a lot to do from food to shopping. Great place to stay, we stayed on our way into New Orleans.
Our entire ball team stayed here. Great hotel, clean comfy rooms,friendly staff and easy interstate access. Breakfast not so good,eggs like rubber and grits like water... waffles were good :) Would definetely stay here again.
I stayed at this hotel for work. Because, I am a rewards member I had a letter waiting for me on the bed when I checked in and a small goody bag that contained a bottle of water and a piece of fruit. This hotel offered a great stay but if you are wanting a hotel with a breakfast, this is not the one. I didn't have any other issues with the stay.
I had a very good stay here. The prices are much less than in New Orleans and only about 30 minutes from New Orleans. the staff of Lauren, toni, Dennis and another woman were excellent with arrival and checking out. I will stay here again.
The facilities are satisfactory. Rooms may require some updating but everything was clean and fresh. We stayed in Slidell so that we could have a short drive to New Orleans. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. A lady at the desk gave us a map marked up with directions to New Orleans French Quarter including places to park and places of interest. Traffic getting into and out was a little tricky and time consuming, like 5 minutes. Breakfast was good.
We checked in very late and the attendant was very helpful. Other than putting the wrong street address (which he had my license in his hand, so I'm not sure what happened) he was very professional. He did offer us the reward program to save some money, so that was nice! Breakfast was good and checkout was easy. We'll stay here again if we find ourselves in this area.
We really enjoyed this hotel. A very pleasant staff both during check-in and check-out. Made sure to grant our request for a ground floor room. The breakfast choices were outstanding, much better than other hotels that we have stayed in recently. Thank you to all the staff
We choose to stay here and travel into New Orleans . We waited till after rush hour then drove into town . Good breakfast, clean well equipped rooms. Good experience. We would done the same again. Good restaurant's near by as well.
Great Stay at the Best Western Plus in Slidell LA. My husband and I needed a place to stay as we were traveling to San Antonio for our son's graduation from boot camp. Slidell was the half-way point and we saw the Harley Davidson shop, so the Best Western was next door and we booked. It was nice and clean and quiet. Very comfortable too.
What a great place to stay! Clean, comfortable, large rooms...free breakfast & wifi in the rooms! All that for a very reasonable rate even though we did not make reservations in advance! Toni and Kristin at the front desk were so friendly and helpful! We highly recommend this property!

I have to highlight the customer Service at this hotel. I booked through Expedia and seems I pressed the wrong key, and they called me, from the front desk, to let me know that I had requested a smoking room and that it might be an error. And it was. Then, at check in I told Toni at the front desk, that I might leave a day earlier and she was very kind to let me know how to call Expedia for the change. The hotel looks brand new, the location was excellent. I don't have anything to complain about. The perfect choice. Very friendly staff. And it was nice to arrive to such a quiet, comfortable and clean room after having spent almost twelve hours at the French Quarter, about 25-30 miles away. And Slidell is a nice hospitable town. Southern hospitality at its best.
The free breakfasts were good! Great customer service and the parking was available and convenient to the elevator. The lobby environment was cleaned. The MOD were very helpful with given local event and others.
This hotel was very convenient to get too. There were a number of excellent restaurants close to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable, the hot breakfast was very good, and most of all the room was very quiet for an excellent night's sleep. We will stay here again.
Great location with access to a lot of different things to do and places to eat. Friendly/helpful staff. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Felt very safe since the only way to get to the rooms was through the lobby. Would definitely stay at this location again.
We spent a week at this hotel The lobby is small, but the staff were very friendly. The complementary breakfast was really good. It was too cold for us to use the outdoor pool, but is looked nice. It was small. The room was clean, neat, and the bed was very comfortable. I plan to stay there again in February when we travel south again.
I spent three nights at the Best Western in Slidell, while working at a job site closer to New Orleans. Workers at the job site recommended my staying in Slidell. My visit was very comfortable and enjoyable. i checked in Sunday evening. I was helped by Toni(?) and she made it very easy and enjoyable. On Wednesday afternoon, my supervisors at the job site decided we had accomplished the things we had set out to do on this trip and suggested I didn't need to stay any longer. Tina helped with my sudden need to checkout. Tina was very understanding and made it a very easy process. My thanks and compliments to both of these ladies. Lew Stivers
Breakfast at this location was not very good. Supposed to be served from 7 am - 10 am. 1st day not there until around 8:30am. Was not hot. 2nd day food was there by 7:00 am but still the same lukewarm temperature. Biscuits were cold.
It is hard to find the entrance to this hotel since another hotel built around it and between it and the main road, but it is worth the effort. Many Best Westerns have seen their better days but this one is modern, well designed, and perfect for us. We needed a place to stay before sailing on a cruise out of New Orleans. This was perfect.
Everything was excellent except the breakfast items which could have been improved and not up to par at the other BW Plus' we stay at. Overall def would recommend it to anyone traveling in the Slidell,New Orleans area. Very quiet.
Stayed one night at the Best Western in Slidell, Louisiana. The accommodations were excellent especially given the price point. The room was very clean and the bed (including the pillows) was exceptionally comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. I have stayed in many high end hotels costing three to four times the rate here and some have not acquired the level of excellence I encountered here.
We checked-in Best western Plus (Slidell) on new year's day mainly because it was priced lower than other New Orleans hotels, and the fact that this location was on;y 15 min drive to the 'Cajun encounters' swamp tour we had booked earlier. However, after staying here, we realized the hotel is nice, not so far from New Orleans (NO), only 45 min, also it gave us a chance to drive over the Ponchartrain bridge (the largest one of its kind in the world) to reach NO. Overall great experience and recommended for anyone considering the swamp tour or bridge drive...
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Great location for visiting family and shopping. The staff are very friendly and they serve a "hot" breakfast. The location is also close to New Orleans and a short drive to visit family and friends in Hammond.
Our rooms were comfortable, clean and nice, with fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, hairdryer. Staff was courteous and helpful. Best free hotel breakfast. Close to the interstate and lots of shopping. Kind of hotel where you won't mind staying more than just a night.

Hotel was clean(rooms and lobby area) and service was excellent. Breakfast offerings didn't fit my diet but other people seem to be enjoying it. Would recommend to family and friends for overnight stay.
OMG! We enjoyed ourselves so much!! The TEAM at Best Western made our trip so enjoyable!! They were professional, knowledgeable and personable! I wish every Hotel had a team as wonderful as this one! They treated us like family which meant a lot to me and my family. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone.
Best Westerns are ubiquitous, prices seem relatively reasonable and service is excellent. We are happy customers. The hotel business is very competitive and Best Western is good value; based on our stays at six different Best Westerns in one month, we think the company is a winner.
The staff was friendly and helpful. I phoned to find directions from the interstate to the hotel and the instructions were accurate and easy to follow. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the internet fast. The hot breakfast was palatable.
I travel to this location at least once a month. This trip I was very disappointed with the Best Western quality. I called the front desk to report the air conditioner was not working and was told someone would be up shortly. More than an hour later I had to call again, at which point the man at the front desk came to check out the air, not maintenance. He looked at it and said it was working fine and that because it was raining and the air comes from outside it was going to take about three hours to cool off. I'm not an A/C specialist or a dummy. The air was cold as I had it on 60 degrees, but it was not blowing high even though it was set on high. It finally cooled off the NEXT MORNING when I was leaving to check out but even then was not a comfortable temp to sleep in. It was a miserable night. I wasn't offered another room or anything, just told I had to wait it out.
The check-in clerk was supreme. The Winngate clerk was rude and patronizing(not sincere, phony kindness)I left the Winngate and hurried to Best Western Plus@Slidell La. Best choice I made in hotel selection ever!!! Never pay for rude service....take your $$$ where professionals value the person and the $$$. LOVE BEST WESTERN -SLIDELL LA.
We stopped in on a Saturday evening and were blessed to find a room. The staff at the front desk was very nice and assisted with any and all questions. The room was very clean, including the bathroom. The bed was quite comfortable and we slept quite well. We left early the next morning before the breakfast items and coffee came out, so I don't know the quality of it. The only "complaint" I guess I would have is the television and programming. Didn't seem HD, no guide, and the channels were quite strange.
The only place we stay when visiting . The price is great the breakfast is great and the housekeepers do a wonderful job the entire building is spotless . I must not forget the front desk staff is super nice and greets you every time .
I spent a week in this hotel due to work. The girls at the front desk were amazing! Super nice and welcoming. The hotel has a washer and two driers which came in very handy since my stay was extended and I ran out of clean clothes. The rooms were nice, clean and quiet. Breakfast could be a bit better, but it was not bad either. Toast, yogurt, banana and apples as well as biscuit and gravy, grits and a few pastries. The location is nice as well, with many options of restaurants and fast food within walking distance, and also major shopping as well. Would definitely stay there again if go back.
Hotel was clean and very quiet. The front desk was very nice and helpful. Changed rooms for us because ours was not ready when we got there. They took care of us without a second thought. Near several food places and the interstate.
I have stayed at this hotel before and upon returning recalled it was always a good stay. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast area clean and had good presentation. My room was on the first floor and still seemed very quiet. It would be good to have at least 1 towel and washcloth in the bathroom/shower area for those that forget to grab one. I'll be sure to return when visiting New Orleans.
There was nothing particularly horrible about this place. It had the look and feel of a lot of hotels I've stayed in, but when we walked in the door I was almost knocked over by a musty, moldy smell. After being in the room for 30 minutes or so, I no longer noticed it. We assumed it was from humidity in Louisiana (I hope). The walls were fairly thin. We fell asleep to the sound of children screaming down the hall and woke up listening to a guy talking in the room next door. Breakfast was all carbs except for some scrambled eggs. Since we were just there to sleep for 8 hours, it was fine.
I'm picky about hotel rooms, I would be the first to admit it. We were completely satisfied with the Best Western Plus in Slidell, LA and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms were very clean and the beds were sooo very comfortable! The breakfast was good. The staff saw to it that the breakfast foods were well stocked. The kids and grand kids enjoyed the swimming pool however while it wasn't bad, the swimming pool water was a little colder than we like it. Overall it was a great experience and we will look for Best Western Plus hotels from now on in our travels.
Staff didn't convey an attitude of wanting or caring to help. We were very disappointed with the last few stays and will not stay at another Best Western ever if not for some time. We will instead switch to the Hilton Honors Program.
The concierge was wonderful and helpful. All the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my two days here. And I would stay here again. If you want to visit different sites, the desk help will give you plenty of directions and choices. They are great with out of towners.
